I signed up to try your services, I looked up a Lawn care service to cut my grass, Big mistake. After entering my info and what I needed, the nightmare started. 10 calls, emails, TEXT from companies all over the U.S., started attacking. I then picked what I thought was a local company to do the lawn care I was looking for. Wrong. The company Lawn Love, a company in San Diego, CA., I am in south Florida, yes I know, nowhere near me, they send emails, TEXT and link to website, which wants your credit card info. All three times they said they would show, they never showed. They TEXT saying they will be here that day, No show!

We love our new sunroom. We spend so much of our time in there now. Communication was excellent all the way through. Envy Home Services even altered their schedule to accommodate a foundation repair we had to have done during construction. Adam and Bill were a great team!

I like the category selection process that narrows down the specific type of contractor needed for the job. My repair was done as professional as I could expect. I am very happy with the company I hired. I will use Home Advisor again on future projects.

Carpet Stretching and Cleaning - Received a call quickly from two contractors. One came to do the estimate and did the work same day. We are very pleased with getting such a quick response from a capable contractor. Will use Home Advisor again for home services.

Search for Replacement Window Company - I immediately identified the top 4 companies in the Sacramento area. I set up face-to-face interviews with each and obtained quotes. I took the time to read reviews on HomeAdvisor. Then I made my decision. The process was very easy. I am please with the company I chose and thankful to HomeAdvisor for making me aware of the quality of their work.

HomeAdvisor works. This is the second time I have used them. The first time, I used them to locate a HVAC technician. This time, I used them to hire a tree service company to grind a stump. Both contractors contacted me within minutes of submitting my request. The work was completed quickly and convenient to my schedule.

I found the referrals and the reviews very helpful and most importantly, accurate. After using two recommended pros from Home Advisor I feel confident in using the site to find other home repair and improvement specialists. I have already referred a couple of friends to the site.

POWER WASHING - Overall a great job and we enjoyed the punctuality and nice work of Jose - great equipment and done very fast. Jose was a very nice person to work with and he explained every step of the way. He also provided and showed us areas of mold on the roof that we can address in the future.

Finally found Master Pool & Patio to do the job, after wide variations in pricing and pool heater, with no incentives to come see the job before giving a price quote. Leaves impression that price quoted without seeing job will end up costing more once job is started.

Driveway asphalt and roof repair - Large gravel driveway is now smooth and nice. The owner Jim and his Wife are great to work with. Very friendly crew and I would recommend them highly. They also repaired loose shingles at a fair price. It is nice to see a family working together!

Pest Control - We were given at least 3 companies to check prices and service in the area. We were very pleased with concise information, ratings, reviews and phone numbers to call. I use HomeAdvisor every chance I have a need for the house.

I used HomeAdvisor to find tree trimming service. This was so simple I had 3 professionals call me within minutes, estimates in one day and job finished in the week. It was also nice to have the reviews of all the companies.

Flood Leveling Certifcate - Charles ** was a man of his word. His completed the job within the time frame he suggested. We received all documentation in a timely manner. We were able to use the documentation to purchase flood insurance with a problem. I would highly recommend both HomeAdvisor and the Charles **.

Jlm with Lateral Cleaning Specialists was prompt in contacting me and coming out to fix the drain. He looked at our pipes and decided whether to use a snake or water pressure to resolve our issue. He worked steadily and cleared our clogged drain problem satisfactorily. He charged the amount quoted to me for the first two hours - $149.00.

HomeAdvisor contacted the Terry's Satellite City for me and got the installation of a new antenna within 24 hours after contacting the company. Great service and quick installation. It replaced an antenna on the roof for one on a pole, because of new roof.

I would highly recommend this company and the technician who did the repair of the timer on my sprinkler system. I had called several others but this was the only company that called me back promptly. This will be my "go to" company in the future!

Outdoor TV antenna installation was timely and complete. Installed in 4 rooms and 2 were new jacks while the other 2 used existing coax runs. Mount was a gable mount. Outdoor temperature was upper 80's. Work was completed in timely manner and I didn't have any cleanup. Would definitely recommend this business to others.

Roof repair Aurora Roofing Company - These guys came out on the same day of the call to give me a quote. The price was fair and better than the other guy. Had all the equipment needed for repair on hand and finished the job on the same day. Awesome service.

Gutters cleaned out & fridge repair - Both of the services were done by extremely professional companies. They came out at their designated time, did excellent work. I will definitely use this service again. It has made my home repairs a lot easier. I will definitely recommend this service to family and friends.

Zach-Vac was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. They did their job quickly cleaning out my 12 feet of dryer vent by suctioning it out in about 10-15 minutes. Since I never had the dryer vent cleaned in 14 years, it was about time to have it done. I would recommend them.

Pete's 2nd man Joe is a great person and I am so impressed with his workmanship and solving every details of any issue. The most comforting part is Pete is a man of his word. He is very methodical, upfront, transparent, reliable and trustworthy. He is very thorough in bidding and whatever he promised to do he completed it on time. Pete did very good coordination with us every time people showed up to work for basement so that we are aware of what is going on. That gave us very confident and peace of mind. Matt and Terry did a great job stretching our carpet that had bubbles in it. Had been told by another vendor that it could not be fixed and we would have to replace the carpet. The inspection revealed that an old satellite dish on my roof had become dislodged and exposed small screw holes that could cause water to leak into the attic in the future if not addressed. I had never used HomeAdvisor before and was blown away by how after only entering some very simple information about my location and the type of work I needed done, it was able cause a local certified contractor to call me within minutes. The contractor did a great job and the price was very cheap. I don't really think my experience could have been any better.

Handyman services - JDI is customer friendly and stands behind their work. They gave us a reasonable price for the jobs and communicated with us. Austin was very knowledgeable and did great workmanship. We highly recommend him. Amanda, the customer service representative was quick to inform us of the project status and followup work. Jon, the owner, was customer friendly and gave us helpful information for keeping cost reasonable. We would recommend JDI to others.

I appreciated a service adviser who provided the names and ratings of the pest control companies that had openings. She placed the call and I just needed to stay on the line. When voicemail picked up, she offered to connect to the next provider. I know I can trust HomeAdvisor's provider ratings more than a random internet posting.

A connection on the water main line going to the house had broken and needed to be replaced. We had to turn the water off until a plumber could come out to make the repair. HomeAdvisor easily helped me locate a local plumber to do the repair. General Plumbing Co. from Olive Branch called and arrived shortly. They professionally evaluated the repair required and provided a very reasonable estimate. The repair was completed quickly and we now have water again.

Cornish was willing to give a price for what I described as a one-time service (although I am looking to use them again). I have had a number of interactions with HomeAdvisor and their "approved" vendors. I have written poor reviews of their vendors and have had terrible experience in using their vendors. I have had to browbeat them to post these bad reviews. I would never use another vendor recommended by this company. There is a consistent pattern of them not doing their due diligence to ensure these vendors are reputable and reliable. You should be very careful in deciding on a vendor listed with them and do everything possible to check their vendors out yourself.

It takes 50% of what I should do - researching for company profile and records which is tedious and time consuming. To be honest, unless I know who I am contracting, HomeAdvisor instill some trust in my decision and eventually hiring.

The repairman from A1 Appliance Service was on time, professional, friendly and clearly knew his business. He tried the least expensive repair first and checked to make sure that the washing machine was actually fixed. As it turned out it was not. Upon further inspection he found that the motor was smoking hot and so was that absolutely the problem. The repair would be expensive and for another $100 or $150 we could buy a new machine which is what we opted to do. Although I wasn't happy with the diagnosis I was delighted with the service from this company. You will not go wrong with A1 Appliance Service. Call them.

I have discovered some very dependable contractors who I will use again and/or recommend. I appreciate opportunity to contact them directly via this website which Angie's does not have. I've had a few (in this case, roofers), not respond, respond with no followup, and even some I never heard from. But all in all, I will continue to use this site first when looking for contractors to work on my circa 1950's fixer upper.

My company signed up as a professional for HomeAdvisor 8 months ago against my will. I had a bad feeling about it after asking them a number of questions on the phone. After we signed up the leads started rolling in. So fast we couldn't even keep up with them. Half of the leads were for jobs we did not even perform. Of the half that were good leads for us only 40% of them actually answered or contacted us back. Of the 40% that contacted us only 7% actually hired us. We have requested credit back for the leads that aren't in our line of work and been denied. We've questioned the fact that 60% of the leads that are in our line of work don't ever contact us back. We've questioned why we don't get credit for those leads that aren't in our line of work.

The cost was within the expected range and the result is a fix that is working as desired. I appreciated the follow-up emails from H-A to see to it that I got my project completed.

I didn't even submit the request for an estimate and yet I have received numerous phone calls and emails. I had hired someone I saw on the HomeAdvisor site so didn't need to submit the request. But for a week after I looked at the site, I am still receiving phone calls and emails. Not very happy about all the unwanted communications.

I hired a contractor recommended by HomeAdvisor to do aluminum wrap on my window trim. He did a terrible job. It was sloppy and it leaks. Much of his work has to be redone due to water getting behind the paint on my house from leaking behind my siding. The paint is bubbling up, something it has never done in the 25 years of my owning this house. Working with this guy was a nightmare. He claimed to have serious health issues so he was constantly using my bathroom and canceling appointments to show up. He got a lot of money for doing a terrible job. When I gave an honest review at the HomeAdvisor site, he complained and they removed it.

Everything was as promised. I didn't know which type of insulation my house needed so I went with R30 based on the recommendation of Sustainable Solutions. My house is 2200 sq ft under air. My house is now 2 degrees cooler. I am truly happy and would highly recommend this company!!!
