Got several immediate companies that choose from. Compared prices, made selection and 2 days later my rugs were cleaned to my satisfaction. Was so easy and will definitely use HomeAdvisor again as well as recommend them to friends and family.

True honest, and professional plumbing service is a rarity, these folks are the real deal! They were prompt, I knew the cost up front and the cost did not change after the service was completed. I plan to call them for any future plumbing needs.

Powerwashing 2 Story Brick home, deck and porches - Great experience with the contractor made the entire project go wonderful. Have already scheduled additional job with the contractor and recommended HomeAdvisor to friends. I did have one of the recommended contractors contact me early but did not follow through with timeframes for quote, call back etc. Obviously did not choose that contractor.

I am new to the area, and it was nice to have reviews and information on local business. It helped in asking questions, and have the reviews available. I am in the middle of fixing a fixer upper, so having access to multiple contractors to review and discuss obtaining quotes is incredibly helpful.

We had Ultimate Home Theater install a surround sound system for us and install a flat screen TV. They did exactly what we wanted, used the best equipment and explained everything to us. Sanded and refinished living room/dining room floor. Floors like like new with oil based finish. Do need to be out if house at least overnight which they suggested. A couple of days would be better. Fumes do travel to lower level.

In March of 2017 I hired a local contractor to fix a roof problem after reviewing ratings on HomeAdvisor. The contractor I hired failed to promptly fix my roof and charged me more than double for a patch job which should have cost much less – a quote for a new roof from a reputable roofing company was $8,200.00. HomeAdvisor afforded the contractor an opportunity to contest my review before it was posted on their website, then allowed the contractor to post a rebuttal to my review that was full of inaccuracies and untrue statements. They did not extend the same curiosity to me. Then, over my objections, they did not remove the contractor’s rebuttal. Because contractors pay HomeAdvisor to be in their network, they favor the contractor in all respects, including negative reviews from legitimate homeowners. I will never use them again for any reason.

The service is very simple and easy to use. Search functions yield solid results in the area that you are seeking. Contractors that are serious about finding work return phone calls. Costs are very competitive and base on similar methods. All contractors are working towards receiving the next reference.

Customer Service Representative very professional, personable, with outstanding communication skills. Asked for permissions, inquired on specifics needed to complete the project (garage door repair). I had 3 offers within a minute of ending the phone call. I have nothing else to say, was pleased with the responses to the questions I had, even though not relevant to the project.

We had wanted to get our deck taken care of for years, and after a failed DIY attempt we looked to the pros. There are so many out there, with different places to find reviews and some do one service but not the other and HomeAdvisor simplified it all. All the information I needed in one place, and I was able to put out a Bat-Signal of sorts which allowed nearby contractors to reach out to me, which was really convenient. We have a lot of other projects we want to get finished and all of them are going to get started on HomeAdvisor.

I think they sold my number to a database as I'm getting incessant calls from unlisted 909 area code numbers. I was looking to get bids for my driveway. Something was fishy as they could not send a person out before nine or after five pm. Then they try to offer all kinds of discounts, their favorite being a senior discount. You could not get an actual price or talk to an actual contractor. So now I'm getting three calls a day for vacations, solar, home projects, wholesale goods. I'm in the National Do Not Call database. I'd be careful when doing business with Home Advisor. They'll sell your number and you'll be annoyed forever.

Refrigerator was not cooling. Technician was on time, knowledgeable and repairs were done immediately. He gave me advice on how to avoid the problem next time and also did an overall check on the refrigerator. Great service! Very courteous, I would call him again if the need arises. Custom Shower Door Install - My experience with HomeAdvisor was extremely positive. Within a few minutes of making my inquiry, I received calls/texts from a couple different vendors. I got 3 quotes, hired a contractor and am very happy with the outcome. Will use HomeAdvisor again.

We hired Tony ** of ** to refinish our pine wood floors. We gave him $463.50 as a 50% deposit on Friday Sept 15, 2017. He deposited the check in his account the same day. The cancelled check does not show his bank name or account number which appear to have been removed. He was supposed to start the job on Monday Sept. 18, which was verbally stated at the time. He never showed up. When we called him a week later, he said his sanding machine had broken down. We said that he should have called us. We had moved all the furniture from our dining room and living room; a very difficult job as we are senior citizens. Finally, we said to cancel the job and please return our deposit. He said he would. Never did. It is now November 8th, and still no refund of deposit.

I was able to contact a lawn service for yard cleanup after Hurricane Irma, and he was able to start on the job right away. I'm happy with the quality of his work and have already recommended him to a neighbor.

After spending so much time online looking for companies to call regarding handyman projects and snow removal I was happy when I stumbled across HomeAdvisor. It saved me time getting a list and being able to start from there. I didn't get the initial email with the list to call so that was a little difficult but I called back in and the second person told me how to log in and find that information. I can't say that I had as good of luck with the actual people on my list as I did with HomeAdvisor. But the one that worked out (our handyman) - we are so happy about! Satellite Solutions came out and disconnected my satellite dish equipment because the instructions that DISH had shipped to me were ambiguous. Tim ** and his associate from Satellite Solutions were very courteous and professional and I would hire them again.

I have received 3 service provider recommendations from HomeAdvisor in the last 2 years and all have been great. One of the service providers told me he has to pay HomeAdvisor for every lead he gets even if he doesn't get the job, which I think is a bit unfair only because HomeAdvisor doesn't necessarily provide customers with complete pricing and available service information - for example, his cleaning method takes longer than others, so it's more expensive, but if you're only given a price on HomeAdvisor then you may not know you'd be paying him more for a superior service. Perhaps HomeAdvisor should have a price for providing a lead and a price for getting the job, and getting the job could be verified by a review by the customer, which benefits the provider and incentivises them to acknowledge they got the job, encourage customer to review, and pay the higher fees.

I hired David Powers Roofing to look at my parents home. They are elderly and on an fixed income. I would highly recommend this company. David came out on time, found and repaired the leak and would not take any money for the repair. He tightened all of the screws in my parents metal roof and did a inspection of the entire roof. He was very nice, knowledgeable and his service was truly exceptional! David worked for nearly an hour. After he made the Repairs he explained in detail what Repairs had been done.

Nearing retirement, I am old enough to be skeptical of any advertising. Very seldom does any product or service 'live up to the hype!' Choosing a construction trade contractor, without a recommendation from a trusted friend, can be a daunting task, and I decided to try HomeAdvisor. The website was easy to navigate and, after using it to narrow my search, I was presented with a short list of contractors, from which to choose and request quotes. I submitted a request and got replies the same day! Customer reviews were available for every contractor listed. In the end, I ended up hiring a contractor through HomeAdvisor, who did a great job at a very reasonable price, and with exemplary customer service! We have other projects planned, for which we will need skilled tradesmen, and will go back to HomeAdvisor and hope for similarly favorable results!

Ran 220 line for hot tub and a 120 line for landscaping lights. The company Mr. Electric estimate was $2800.00 higher than Shanks Electric. I was pleased with the referrals current flow was great. K2 was very good and Bren-Mark also excellent. However, my roof was done back in Sept and now I am getting calls from roofers. I asked for referrals back in August do not understand why I am getting calls and my info is now being given out to contractors in Nov.

It turns out the pressure regulator on the incoming water main was failing and a new one was needed. Joshua with Safari Plumbing was friendly and efficient and completed the job in a quick and expert manner... no more noise!

I am an HVAC contractor that received a call from a sales representative from Home Advisor. We started having a great conversation. I typically don’t take random solicitation. She explained to me how the program work as far as generating lead. I was ready and to sign up for the one-year membership and went as far as to give her the required information to do a background check on our company and even gave her my credit card information. Then she mention the only other cost would be $81 per lead whether I get the job or not. I responded by saying, “I’m sorry but I will never pay $81 per lead.” That’s when she lashed out and got real personal close to calling me an idiot. She did not call me an idiot but said this and I quote “What don’t you get if I didn’t like you I would hang up on you”.
