I had a leak that went through 3 floors. The plumber came out to assess the situation and did not charge for it. He showed up when he said he would for the appointment and we set a date for the work. Ben and his assistant were courteous, considerate of making a mess and cleaned up after themselves. Ben is the plumber I would recommend, if you use TAG. I think the price for the repair was fair.

They Removed three very large spruce trees, one in the front yard, and 2 in the backyard next to the fence, then they ground out the stumps, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. Would definitely recommend this business to a friend. Showed up on time and were polite and business like.

Cut down 3 pine trees ranging 35 - 50 ft. tall without using a bucket truck. The truck would have caused ruts in the already saturated yard. Grind down stumps and clean area. The entire job was done with 2 men and only took approximately 2 hours.

They gave me choices and the companies responded to me quickly. I picked one and they arrived as scheduled. The problems were diagnosed and fixed within one hour. I would definitely use HomeAdvisor again. The website was easy to navigate and everything went along quickly.

Craftsperson was asked to remove a warped cabinet base in sink cabinet. He provided an accurate assessment of how best to repair and gathered all the materials for the repair. He was on time for all appointments and provided excellent service. I would hire him again for repairs of this type.

These two brothers were both efficient and knew exactly what to do to fix the problems we had. I would recommend them to anyone needing good work done with electricity. The only thing that surprised me was that they wanted cash only. They need to tell the customers before they come so the customer could have cash on hand to pay for the work done.

Called for next day appt 1-3 Pm. Office called the next day. Asked if a tech could come in the AM. Was at my door in 15 min. Found the problem a cap seal blocking a pipe. Would call again or recommend to my friends.

My toilet would run from time to time. After I replaced the flapper it continued to run so I looked to HomeAdvisor for a plumber. Within 5 minutes of getting names I started getting the calls from the 3 listed companies. Someone was able to come same day within 2 hours of my inquiry.

Did not like that one of the companies I was studying, called me to solicit my work. Your company must have provided them my contact information. Not pleased about that. They called me three separate times while I was still making up my mind. So I went with the other, more expensive offering.

Mr. Jeff Griffin, the owner of J. Griffin Heating and Plumbing, was very honest. Our toilet was unsteady, rocking back and forth. So Mr. Jeff came over within a few minutes as he promised and looked into our toilet. He came up with a solution, knelt on the floor and did the job but never charged me even a cent. Because for him it was an easy job, he thought he should not make me pay even though he obviously spent time, plumbing supply and gas for my little project. For me, that was HONESTY to the max!! We need more people like Mr. Jeff who values honesty and helpfulness more than money. My landlord told me to make sure that he is in our directory for our future house projects.

Job was to clear small trees, and shrubs on west side of house to gain access to DECK AREA at back of home. They did excellent work and will be at top of my list for future landscaping chores as they come up.

Bathtub Refinishing - Presentation, Price and Process very detailed, fair and detailed. He supplied detailed information and pictures on prior jobs and was highly rated in HomeAdvisor. He cared about his process and its effect on the room and home. His price and better warranty beat out the competition and the job result reflected that he cares about his profession and his customers. I would rehire him without any bidding in the future.

Junk Removal - I had a returned call within 5 minutes of request. My pickup was completed within 1 1/2 hours from first call through HomeAdvisor. This was second time this year using HomeAdvisor for completely different services and both times was completely satisfied.

Repair person called 1/2 hour after I was finished searching. Wide variety of services available for many different types of jobs. This is our "go to" site for home repairs.

Went to HomeAdvisor to find pro to do a cement slab in backyard as the base for a 8x10 shed. I got a call 3x in 30 minutes from same man. He came to home to assess and we hired him. He and his "uncle" were here for 3 days. They arrived at 2:00 or after each day. One man did all the work while the other man sat. On second day, another man arrived alone. This was another "uncle". He was 72 years old but he did all the work and told us not to pay the additional $100.00 because he fixed the problem and no more material was needed.

We were able to find a professional contractor that was knowledgeable and reasonably priced for what we needed done. We did not know where to find anyone but went on HomeAdvisor and found several potential contractors, and were able to narrow it down to one who worked out really well for us.

I am a professional contractor for 30 years. Times got a little slow and I decided to try HomeAdvisor. They are a complete scam. I was with them for about 10 days before I realized it was not for me. The so-called leads they send for work are bogus. I was misled when signing with them because I thought you were only charged for the jobs you got, instead of every one. They sent me a bill for $600.00 and I never did one job. I called them and tried to resolve the charges and they sent me to collections. I called them again to try and resolve the matter and they would not offer any help in resolving the matter. Very unprofessional. I highly suggest if you are a professional contractor, stay very clear of these people because they are gonna take you to the cleaners.

They are dishonest, untrustworthy lying scammers. They charge your card, change your account settings to send you leads you didn't sign up for and won't cancel when you ask, lie about deals and not honor their own word. They will say anything and do anything to charge you more once you sign and give them your card! DON'T DO IT!

I have a leaning fence and went online to find a fence repair company. HomeAdvisor had a high rating it appeared, so I filled out a form for fence repair. Once I finished I saw that they also had electrical repair people as well so I started to fill out a form for that. But the form became too involved so I closed the site without completing the form. That was yesterday. Today I got a call at 5am, then at 5:15 am, then several more. It woke up everyone in the house. It's obvious they gather marketing information then release it to MANY companies, some not in the same time zone. For this reason I do not recommend them and I want a way to remove my information from their process and distribution.

The company I hired, J. Family Design, was able to offer multiple services in a very timely manner: painting, wall/ceiling repair, floor re-finishing, and cleaning service. I was under a tight deadline since I live in California and the work was done in my Chicago high-rise condo.

We are new to the area and used HomeAdvisor to locate a supplier after a snow storm took down a tree in our front yard. Valley Tree Experts called when other firms did not. They came promptly and did excellent work. We would definitely recommend HomeAdvisor and Valley Tree Experts.

Roof Asphalt Repair - Very professional company. Immediate response matching my need. A contractor called me within the hour, showed up on time for for inspection and started the job the very next day. The roofer was very thorough, polite, and did a great job. Price was very reasonable. I always get good recommendations from HomeAdvisor. I highly recommend them for any project.

I get calls from them and they initially hide the appropriate numbers so I think I'm calling the business but then I'm calling HomeAdvisor with a deliberately faked number. It inevitably makes me choose to look up the number myself and HomeAdvisor doesn't get any credit. They should alter their business model to not include a bait and switch number because I do value their service and I do plan to use them again.

I love HomeAdvisor. It's really easy to use, and my pros always start calling before I leave the site! I also like that I can read reviews and they do background checks. I tell everyone I know about it.

They did a great job encasing pipes from radiators. It looks like another room was transformed. Overall they came to the job at the time indicated and worked diligently throughout the day. Clean up needs a little more work, it wasn't terrible, but it could have been better. People don't generally clean the way you would so maybe I expected too much.

This is my second projects using professional from Home Advisor and I am pleased with quality of work and cost from both professionals. It appears professionals strive to perform better job along with competitive cost as they rely on customer review to be more marketable via Home Advisor - win win!

I had all of my air ducts and cold air returns cleaned. This included cleaning my furnace. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. I also had my dryer vent and line cleaned. I would highly recommend this company. I plan on having my carpets cleaned by this company in the next few months.

Individual arrived and had the furnace working within 5 minutes. Promised a more complete repair quote to permanently complete repairs on my unit, which was installed by a fly-by-night prior Home Advisor member and did not finish the furnace installation about 4 years ago.

I have utilized Home Advisor to find a plumber to replace my water heaters and a electrical handyman to fix my chandelier. Both were timely, fair priced, and did great work. At present I have a third Home Advisor contractor working.

The Workman was pleasant and fast. He seemed to be well aware of his craft. He ask for a photo of my water heater that needed replacement, so he could match me with a new one. He left the area clean and dry, took credit cards so I could pay him after the work was completed.

I called around 2:00. The repairman was here around 4. He was gone within an hour. He found the problem and will return with the part tomorrow. Very quick response. Very knowledgeable. The repairman was efficient and professional. I will use this company again.

HomeAdvisor “generates leads” for contractors in their field of expertise, or they claim to. We signed up as a HVAC contractor in November 2017. The fee to join Home Advisor was $380.00. We were originally told that each lead would be about $16.00. After 4 months we have had approximately 50+ leads at the tune of $11-$26 per lead. We actually got two leads leading to a paying customer. The other leads we were charged for, lead to nowhere. A majority of the customers would not answer your call, would say they were trying to see what contractors were in their area, were looking to find out rate charges, or simply stated they did not request anyone to call them for service or repairs.

Went with a professional they recommended and was very satisfied with the work. They called back immediately, gave competitive quotes and were very professional. I will try HomeAdvisor again when needing home services. I get options from professionals in my area and it makes life much easier.

Ceiling needed repair due to electrical work by a previous contractor. All ceilings were painted. 2 Bedrooms were painted with accent walls. All work done within less than two days. The workmanship was so good. The finished product was beautiful. The price was great. I would recommend these painters to any of my friends.

I've been using HomeAdvisor to find pros and get info about projects I'm interested in, which includes pricing. They have a lot of good information, and I trust the pros they recommend. I just learned that the pros have to pay to be on the site, which makes me think that they are very focused on their business, clientele and reputation. I just hired a Home Inspector and was really blown away by how great he was - both he and HomeAdvisor really exceeded my expectations!

I got really good information from HomeAdvisor and the replacement of water heater went smooth. After I submitted information in HomeAdvisor immediately got information for three service companies. Nice information and very helpful. The provider charged little more than normal market rate. Other than that everything fine. Quality of work is good.

I can say one thing for sure, once these folks know your information they make good use of it. I get emails, phone calls [from people with accents so thick I can't understand them] surveys, OMG!!!! They provide a great service to folks like me who don't have the time to research. However, dogging me after I've clicked on their link for information is a HUGE turn off. When I'm researching I do not want 20 phone calls and emails and that is seriously what I got.

I was impressed with HomeAdvisor's care to ensure the contractor showed up and that we were happy with the service. I received several calls to follow up. It appears the contractors are monitored for their diligence. I would recommend trying this service.

They gave me a list of companies to choose from and I picked two and called. Both were available. One was almost immediately ready so that is the one I dealt with. They checked furnace and determined it was too old. Over 80 years old and best to replace. Next day it was in.

Great price and excellent customer service. I would recommend them every time. He was prompt and honest about some of the stains he did not think would come up due to the light color of the carpet and the length of time the stain had been there.

Found working with HomeAdvisor easy. They called me to check on my status and see if I had any questions. I did find it awkward that someone from my potential list called me after the job was done to see if I was still looking. Hired an electrician, he was great! I needed my very large flower bed cleaned out and trimmed. I had a lot of sea grass and liriope plants that had to be cut back and vinca vine in the flower bed. Toni cleaned out the bed, trimmed everything and cleaned up all of the plant "trash" and took it away. Everything looked so nice when he was finished. He is also very reasonable with his rates. Am very happy with the service and will hire him again.

HomeAdvisor has provided me with two exceptional companies. I will be using them again, I'm sure. The first person I hired from HA was a painter with whom I was very happy and the second was a home inspection service who was not only the lowest priced but also excellent in the performance of his task.

Finding a handyman. It was easy to use the website. I was given 3 to get reviews from. I chose 2, but never heard from one. I'm glad he was willing to come out that night. Maybe you should have more than 3 listed in case no one responds.

HomeAdvisor does a great job of finding pros for all sorts of jobs. In this case there were not that many results, but I was still able to find a great contractor to plow my driveway at short notice. My only complaint is that the website is quite cluttered, making it a bit daunting to use at first. But it is a great idea, and overall I'd say I'll be using it again.

Using HomeAdvisor helped to get a big job done quickly... All were professional. Although my next project is to get the septic pumped and there is no listing for that service. Thought that was a bit odd since we are in a rural area and I'm sure others need it too.

We needed 3 trees cut down and we were able to find a pro to complete this job for us. They were very professional and the cost of the service was reasonable. I would recommend HomeAdvisor to friend and family. I hope to use them for some other projects I need done.

Out of 3 appraisers I contacted through HomeAdvisor, 2 of them promised work but never delivered. When I reviewed them, I was called by HomeAdvisor to ask if I had paid them. Of course, I hadn't. BUT there was a verbal agreement given by both to get the appraisal done within a few days and I was to pay them once it was done. HomeAdvisor refused to put my reviews up on their website. As a result, others will continue to hire these less than professional businesses without any knowledge of my experience. A VERBAL CONTRACT in which the contractor promises to do the work, but expects payment at the end and then FAILS TO DELIVER, should not disqualify a customer from providing appropriate feedback. Not impressed by HomeAdvisor.

It is so helpful to have a process that walks you through finding the correct and well vetted professional. This saves numerous phone calls to unknown vendors trying to find the right one for our particular job. We are very satisfied and plan to use your service often as well as recommend it..

I have used HomeAdvisor multiple times and I find little relationship between the ratings shown for the companies and the actual quality of the folks responding to requests. One of the problems is the refusal of HomeAdvisor to accept reviews of companies not hired when, at least in my case, it was the poor quality of the people coming out to make an estimate which was the very reason the company was not hired.

Drywall repair and foundation patching - This was so easy. I had been looking for weeks going off of recommendations from friends. I had several people commit to fix and back out at the last minute. HomeAdvisor brought me a guy with the exact skills the very day I enrolled and he did a superior job. I will use both him and HomeAdvisor again and again.

Website is very easy to use to find recommended services. They usually have prompt (within 15 min) contact from listed services. Most of the businesses are very professional and some are even members of the BBB which gives more confidence when hiring the chosen company.

The company we used was fine, it is convenient to use one service to find contractors. I was disappointed that only one option was provided for the garage. But they were responsive. I just used HomeAdvisor to look for an electrician and there were more options available. I'll see how quickly they respond.
