I had two drywall professionals calling me within an hour of submitting the request to HomeAdvisor. One came out to review the job and give me a quote within 24 hours. I was pleased with his price, work, punctuality and clean-up.

I like how quickly I was able to get estimates and get the job done without having to call or wait for a call back. Streamlined the estimate process to be much easier and faster than the usual research, call, and wait a week in hopes people got back to you.

It is easy to find numbers to Pros you need and then you also see who recommends them and why... Been very helpful. If you don't get a call back you can also leave a rate to let other know not to call them first. There is good and bad Pros but at least you know upfront how they are rated. Remember to rate the Pros that you do talk to help other find quality Pros to work on their homes.

First time using HomeAdvisor. Everything went well. If I need someone to help me, in the future. I will check on HomeAdvisor. The company they sent was on time. And the price was fair. Good service. Thank you.

I have done two projects with them. Both have worked out beyond my expectations. HomeAdvisor makes it easy to find and screen companies in my area to do the work, and pleased to have professionals complete the jobs. It makes the process of starting a job much easier when you are given a great database of reliable companies.

We found a company (Prestige Concrete) through the service provided by HomeAdvisor. This company was wonderful, great customer service, and was very professional while providing us with a great patio. HomeAdvisor was great with their follow-up, calling us to see if vendors had contacted us and even giving asked if we needed more referrals. We would certainly use HomeAdvisor in the future.

Great customer service and recommendations for tree removal. The user friendly website was easy to navigate. A 100 ft tree had fallen on my house and they had someone over there in an hour. This is the second time I have used HomeAdvisor. The first time was for gas range install. I would recommend them to my friends.

Better than average for your needs; contain very good references and good people. In comparison to other sites, the other sites do not filter out property as HomeAdvisor does. Most of the work is already done and the stress of interviewing someone for the job is not there.

They did a great job. They removed a couch, chair and coffee table. There was even a kitten hiding in the couch, it was no problem. Ray and his partner were courteous and friendly, and ever so helpful. I would recommend them to anyone who had things to remove. I even had to reschedule because I had to take a friend to the doctors, and when they called half an hour before the time, I explained the need to change the time. They came out the next day and removed the stuff with no issues. I would call them for a more elaborate move if I needed assistance.

HomeAdvisor gave us some great pool companies to look at. The one we chose was perfect for us. HomeAdvisor was not intrusive in staying in touch with us. We will look here for more contractors should we need them. We had great information given and HomeAdvisor listened to any questions we had. Definitely will use this company again.

When one of the contractors did not respond to my request for an estimate, I had a HomedAdvisor service rep search for a new contractor. I was eventually able to find a contractor to do the work done to my satisfaction for a rental property I own in New Jersey.

The guys did a great job. They cleaned out all of bedding area around the shrubs and bagged up the entire mess. My lawn was a mess with grass growing at all different lengths and the weeds had overtaken all of it. I was pleased to come home to find all the grass and weeds taken care of!

Surveyor did an excellent job on what turned out to be a more difficult job than expected. Very satisfied with the work of this company. Office personnel were very helpful and efficient. Job was scheduled and completed as agreed. Would recommend to friends.

I asked for an estimate because 84 of 85 reviews were 5 Star. So impressed with price and plan that I added another project on the spot! First job, a concrete patio, is beautiful. Second job, tear down and rebuild of front porch and 3 steps, uncovered a builder's mistake and will be done immediately. They will remediate the compromised house foundation wall and build the new porch and steps as they SHOULD have been done the first time. The company is the best I have ever worked with and wholeheartedly recommend them!

Let me start with saying that most of the time I like to do my own work around the house. This job would have taken me way too long. So I tried HomeAdvisor for the first time. Amy called back in about thirty minutes and explained to her what my project consisted of. She told me Bill and Dave would be by later that afternoon at a set time. They both showed on time and discussed the project and said the estimate would be to me in a couple business days. It arrived and I was happy with the scope of work and price to be completed. They started on time and made great progress.

We were concerned regarding the asking price for a condo we were purchasing and wished a professional appraisal. The response was very fast and the cost less than we had anticipated. The appraiser contacted the sellers agents, who contacted the seller and set an appointment for the next day. The appraisal was completed and emailed to us the next day.

I used HomeAdvisor website to search for a cleaning service for my rental property. According to HomeAdvisor's website, they do background checks and other verification of their recommended service providers. Based on HomeAdvisor's recommendation, I hired a cleaning service. This cleaning service stole over $600 worth of tools from my garage. They also did an absolute horrible job of cleaning. They arrived three hours later than they promised and did not leave until 3 AM. They left a greasy dirty film on everything they attempted to clean. The left the oven with chemical oven cleaner. They finally admitted that someone on their crew took the tools even though we never saw anyone other than the owner and her young children doing the cleaning.

Fixed a hinge and completely tuned up my garage door. Made recommendations of when and how often to lube my Springs and hinges. Showed me how to adjust the tension on the opening and closing of the door. Technician also fixed the light fixture that wasn't working.

Hot water heater service - The service was prompt and efficient. It saved us a lot of time. While we could have done this ourselves, it was really convenient to have someone do it so quickly. It was also helpful to have the suggestions that the technician provided.

Eric was hardworking, prompt and reliable. The chimney was in bad need of repair and he did so in an efficient and prompt time. He took pictures of the inside of the chimney to show the need for repair.

Countertops Installation - They did excellent work and they work fast. Thankful for the experience. I would recommend them to my friends and family. I would also hire them again for another job. My kitchen looks like a different kitchen once they had completed the job.

My experience was excellent with HomeAdvisor. I hadn't even finished filling out the entire questionnaire when I received phone calls from 2 home inspectors. I selected Mr. ** and set up an appointment for early the next week. He was very thorough and professional.

HomeAdvisor was helpful to find help with good reviews! I found a great company for my project, I was able to see previous reviews and feedback and Iconic Pest Solutions did a great job but then I received a few more calls, texts and emails about the same project.

Prob #1: When I did my search and got results, I wasn't sure if/when the matches were supposed to call. I would have been happy with a clear message that gave 1-2 hour window. After 10 minutes, I gave up and Googled one service and called them separately. Prob #2: ONE of the services then called me twice within the hour and then again later. He was especially persistent and even CAME BY MY HOUSE the next day, TWICE before I had a chance to respond. Does Home Advisor NOT tell them NOT to come to people's houses??

Had a crack in a bathroom window and need it repaired or replaced. This window is very high up and half moon shaped. Went on HomeAdvisor website to put in request to have someone take a look and provide estimate to fix. Website was easy to navigate and within 10 mins had a call from two window repair companies with two estimates within 2 hours. Hired one company and they fixed window thanks to HomeAdvisor. Had previously scheduled three repairs attempts but no one showed up but HomeAdvisor had quality companies who showed up fast.

Very helpful to find a fencing contractor. I knew of this company before but also wanted more quotes or at least to see what other options were available. Also was able to find a good source for a dumpster rental to get rid of the old fencing. Using HomeAdvisor did help in both cases to complete the entire project.

It was an all around good experience from my first phone call to the arrival of the plumbers and the process of clearing our slow drain. The snake work was not successful but adding additional help from a power flush cleared the line. Cleanup was quick and complete.

Great job at a reasonable cost. Analyzed the problem and worked to make the repair in a short period of time. This problem was caused by previous contractors that did not take the time or effort to repair the lines that they ruptured.

HomeAdvisor recommended Michigan Alarm Company for an alarm system repair. Michigan Alarm was a GREAT choice. I am very pleased. The price was fair and the work was done quickly and with no problems at all. Adam, who is the Owner installed the new system and represented his company very well.

My husband was interested in their service but was unsure about paying upfront. He was told that he just had to provide a credit card and he could have a trial to decide if he wanted to sign up. He was charged immediately $300. After looking up the many reviews online saying they are a scam we wanted our money back. We were then charged $18 for a "lead" that wasn't a real lead, come to find out the homeowner was not actually interested and was angry that he received so many phone calls from contractors. Which means they charged multiple contractors $18 for a false lead. The end result being we had to file a dispute with the bank and change the bank card number to keep Home Advisor from more fraudulent charges. Marketing Scam!!!

Duct and vent cleaning - Guys were open with what they found and recommended solutions and priced those options out on the spot. Small amounts of mold were found and pointed out to me, opted to fog vent work and floor joist from the basement side.

Very pleased with the process. Annoyed with requests for follow up praise requests. I asked for a job to be sourced, I received several referrals, I hired one, did the task at hand, paid them and done. Then phone calls, and emails seeking too much information.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but about half the time there are no matches and no replies to any of my inquiries. Most of my jobs are smaller so I think maybe there just isn't any interest in taking them.

I used Leafguard. They were courteous and efficient and did a great job. They removed old gutters and downspouts and replaced with new gutters with Leafguard which is an exceptional product which attaches to the gutter and does not affect the roof shingles. They cleaned the yard when done. I have a lot of pines. No more cleaning gutters!

The contractor used was very good, and very easy to work with. The contractor was responsive when need to be contacted, and the quality of the work was excellent. I had a small patio to be extended to a sunroom and a small patio added to the end of the sunroom.

I cannot believe how bad the leads have been from HomeAdvisor. Most have been people asking for things that are not in the category you are requesting leads from. Some never answer and now we just realized why. I have had my leads turned on for commercial lawn mowing for 6 months, finally I get one lead today. Within 2 hours we had driven out to look at the property and call the lead. He told us he hired someone 2 weeks ago and did not put a lead through HomeAdvisor that day.

We find out through our county that he does not even have a contractor license and didn't have one throughout the whole process. We spent money through small claims court to get a judgment in our favor, more money to get an execution order, and get him on theft only to find that he is already in jail.

Due to a very strong wind storm, sections were blown down while others almost blown down with broken posts and causing other posts to be fairly loose with supporting brace boards separated from slats and posts, and banged up gates.
