I am new to HomeAdvisor. I recently used them on 2 different projects and in both jobs the service providers were "top notch". In both instances, the providers were professional and exceeded my expectations. I will surely be using HA more in the future!

Have used Angie's List for years but their site seems to not work as well and I'd prefer not to pay an annual fee. Tried HomeAdvisor (HA) for the first time for a couple of jobs that need to be done. I was impressed at how easy it was to get a list of qualified service providers and how quick they responded to my inquiries. Also, I like that HA does the background checks to ensure quality. As a REALTOR, I will use HA again and again.

Raised GFIC outdoor outlets to prevent problems with debris and moisture. Checked conduit lines. Flag light and landscape light power are now reliable. Crew had to obtain parts but completed job same day. Knowledgeable and safe. Arrived on time and timely finished job that day.

Used the listing from HomeAdvisor for selection of our residential kitchen cabinet refacing and utility room cabinet. I could not be happier with Kevin's work. The best value for the money and great work quality. The cabinet in the utility was unique in the upper part was for storage and the lower part of the cabinet was used to hold a litter box with the side panel having a cat door.

Company was timely, crew was professional, work in harsh winter conditions, got the job right. Excellent workmanship. Replaced lower level glass pane approximate 30"x30" in vertical sliding window. I would hire them again, but neogiate a better price. Glass was replaced during regular working hours. Understand the higher price given the circumstances, but not double what I thought it should of cost. Proceeded anyway, not much choice given the weather.

My experience with HomeAdvisor on finding people or businesses has been great for whatever I need done. So far I've used HomeAdvisor 3 times and have been happy with the results I have received each time. I have received quotes or the person has given me exact costs on what the job will cost.

At 5 AM on Saturday my furnace awoke me when it made an unusual noise. By 9 AM, still wouldn't start blowing. I contacted HomeAdvisor who led me to Absolute Comfort and Sons. Right before they called me, my furnace finally kicked on. Absolute came out and checked, my very old furnace needed to be replaced. We scheduled replacement for the following Wednesday. A lot of people had furnace trouble since temps were in the single digits and there was wind chill. Well, long story short, new furnace installed a day early and it is really nice to have heat again. Got a really fair price on the high efficiency furnace and install. Installers were friendly, polite and professional.

Replaced failed hot water pipe... Quality of work was excellent... along with overall customer experience. My only complaint was the charge ($397 for a job that took a little over an hour; however, they did complete the job within 5 hours of me calling and placing the original work order... excellent response time). I would definitely use Thatcher & Son again... For future work I would negotiate the price (or understand the price) before starting the job. Excellent overall experience.

HomeAdvisor responded quickly and asked for updates about the pro and the job performed. And, did I mention HomeAdvisor is free? They recommended 5 pros nearby. The one I hired did a phenomenal job. I would definitely use them again. Thank you!

Had some panel molding and crown molding done in house. VMI Trim Painting did a good job, cost effective and in a timely manner. Very professional, had a small issue but it was resolved without any problems. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Home Advisor was so easy to use. We didn't have to thumb through page after page of phonebook pages to find an excellent Service Company. WAY TO GO HOME ADVISOR. HOME ADVISOR IS NOW MY GO TO ADVISOR for all my projects. My wife wasn't about using HA, but now she's totally sold.

HomeAdvisor was extremely helpful in finding quality contractors for several projects. I highly recommend them. Having the list of businesses for each project with their reviews made the process so much more efficient! The ability to set appointments up on the Home Advisor website was quick and easy!

Computer problem fixed, computer technician was very knowledgeable and informative. Removed malware and installed programs to prevent further problems occurring. Service call took about 70 minutes. Fee was as quoted when appointment was made. Would recommend HomeAdvisor in the future.

I had injured my back, and 18" of snow was coming. I looked on a few sites and decided to have HomeAdvisor provide my contact info to a few companies. The very next day, I got a call from the guy I ended up going with. Unfortunately company #2 wrote an ineffective email several days after, completely clueless of "snow removal, upcoming storm, easy client." And the third company never called or wrote at all. The good news is the one guy that did call is honest, hard-working, and was willing to add me to his plow list a day before the storm. He did a great job and now a permanent client.

Electrical repair - They arrived, got right to find project problem, explained the problem and they quickly fixed it. The previous repair work was not done correctly. They dug up old wire and replaced the corroded item explaining everything that needed replaced.

I have been able to look for and find some pretty good services on this site. While there were a few that my experience may not have been desirable, the professionals we have actually hired have been very good. I like being able to have a one stop shop when I need a pro for a particular job.

We were so impressed with the rep they sent to us. He took his Time and explained everything to us. He knew the answers to all of our questions. He brought the actual window in our house to show us what we were buying. He also did a demonstration to show us how these windows would keep the heat out in the summer. We were convinced that we wanted this company to do our new windows.

Made multiple recommendations for people to replace our countertop. Got bids from 3 of them and we're very pleased with our selection. Was great to have recommendations we could count on. We recommend this service to all who need projects done and don't know who to call.

I have never used HomeAdvisor prior to this, but my first experience has been great. I found a great Pro for a great price. I'm not sure this will always be the case, but based on the first experience, I will probably use it again.

We had several roofers come out for quotes through our home advisor query. All of the quotes were exceptionally high! We did end up going with one of the roofers we found through HomeAdvisor, but only after they dropped their price 3k to match another company's quote. The contractor did great work.

Very good overall response from professionals. Selected the best firm for my project based on firm experience, ability to do project as soon as possible, price, and available equipment for the project. Very good experience with HomeAdvisor as usual.

I used Home Advisor to locate a contractor to install pavers as I was unable to find a contractor on my own. They provided me with a variety of contractors and I was able to get the job completed in a very short time.

Replaced thermostat on AC unit. List of local companies was very helpful. Penguin Air service technician was very friendly and helpful. List of typical charges should have been better. Service technician arrived about 20 minutes late. Please give more choices.

Drywall sanding and light fixture replacement - Wonderful job done! I wish I hadn't waited so long to hire someone. I would recommend Platinum to anyone! Tim arrived on time, was very courteous, and finished the job quickly and it looks great! I will definitely call him again for any future jobs I may need done!

So fast and easy and no user fee like other services used in the past. Most importantly the company they set me up with was extremely good. Definitely will be using this service for all my projects in the future.

I have used HomeAdvisor a couple of times and have been very pleased with the outcome both times. All the people I have had come out to give an estimate for a job were very courteous and gave fair estimates. All were very professional and friendly.

I have never used a service to search for a contractor before. I co-own a consulting civil engineering company that used to be an architectural and consulting engineering company in Metro Atlanta. We slowly dropped Architecture after the partner that was a partner passed from cancer years ago. I no longer have access to lists of contractor and sub-contractors, so I thought I would try HomeAdvisor (HA) and am quite satisfied. My wife wants to do some kitchen upgrades, I may use HA again to see if we can find some help with cabinets and countertops, etc.

I used HomeAdvisor to find a reliable service repairman for my refrigerator/freezer and stove/oven. They saved me a lot of time researching for a reliable service. The one recommended was great. Although the service repair company tried to sell you a lot more while they had you on the phone, I didn't mind because they were trying to keep you informed with the newer appliances. I never heard of putting a power surger on your breaker box to protect your major appliances, etc. but that's what I did. I hope it works!

Amazing, fast and efficient. All of the content I needed was right there for me to evaluate and choose. they recommended the best person for the job, but if for any reason I was not happy with my choices they could find me more suppliers. My first choice was amazing -- customer service, friendly, courteous and reliable.

Cleaning of heating vents - Very timely with response from company. Accurate information regarding company used. There were several companies listed. However the company I went with was chosen because of the reviews which I am sure were very accurate based on the exceptional service I encountered.

The marble countertop, tub deck and floor in my master bath had become scratched and pitted from wear. Carlos was very professional, spent four hours working on the problems and left the area clean and tidy. The marble areas look like new. I am extremely picky and I am delighted with the results!! I would highly recommend this contractor.

Easy to use interface on the website that allowed for the prompt hiring of a contractor to repair ceiling drywall. I have used HomeAdvisor for a few projects and have had very good experiences in finding the right professional for the job. As a first time homeowner it is a very valuable tool.

I awoke to my furnace humming with no air output. The Blower had to be replaced. The price they quoted me covered everything. The man who came out was very good. He noticed a short in the wiring while he was completing the job and fixed it without trying to add to the cost. The price he gave me upfront was what he charged. I'm very happy with the service and guarantee.

Pest control - Scott was friendly and called when he was going to be late. He explained and showed how mice got in the house and how they traveled through the baseboards. He reviewed the outside and showed how to seal any openings to prevent the mice from entering the house in the future.

HomeAdvisor helped me by answering all of my questions when I asked. The people you speak with over the phone is very nice, courteous and patient. Will use again and share with my family and friends so that they can also use HomeAdvisor.

Good presentation of options, no pressure, good work. Rapid response to initial call which was a broken spring but the door was old with problems. Cost options from repair to new door were done. There was no rush so job was done at our convenience. All cleaned up and better insulted door which is much better.

Was very easy getting someone to come out to check my roof. The first contractor was late and was slow and said that he was going to e-mail me a estimate of how much it was going to cost have not yet seen his e-mail, so I don't think he is very reliable. The second contractor called me at least 20 minutes before his time to be here saying he was might be late due to traffic, I like that. He give me a price for the repair and he had a crew there to do the work so he got the job. He also gave me a estimate for a full roof replacement and sent me a e-mail with the itemized details of the work and how much it would cost.

This is the second time I have used HomeAdvisor and have been very pleased with the results!! Each time I have needed assistance, I have received a call from a service provider within 20-30 minutes. The first call was for an exterminator--Bug Boyz (flea infestation). They too were fantastic. This call was for heating and cooling issues--furnace motor quit working. The Brook's Heating and Cooling Services was quick to respond on a Saturday the first time (a wire had come loose), then later on a Sunday!!! (The following weekend when the furnace motor died.) Both times I was pleased to find there was no extra charge for weekend service. The technicians were courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The jobs were done quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company to my neighbors, family and friends.

Robson Appliance Repair was a great recommendation for someone to repair my refrigerator. I will use him in the future anytime I need my appliances serviced. He was professional, polite, showed up on time, and cleaned up after the job. Also, his price was very reasonable.

Pipes burst on New Year's Day. HomeAdvisor offered the names of two providers, one of which was unavailable. The provider I selected called within an hour of being contacted and arrived about two hours later. Considering the volume of calls plumbers were receiving on that day, I believe that was an excellent response time and I was pleased with the results.

Needed a quick paint job incident to a move. Got it done with a painting contractor I found on the site. The contractor was responsible and charged me a reasonable price. He sent good people into my home who were respectful and efficient. The contractor did great work.

The Drain service contacted me quickly, via phone and text message. A little over an hour after requesting assistance, the technician arrived. He had been on another job. They located the problem, and repaired some piping. Excellent job, I am satisfied.

Found a great contractor to replaster my pool, on time and on budget. Of the 3 companies that I requested a quote from, Z & Z Pools was the only one that even bothered to call me back. That was disappointing but I feel we got an excellent job at a fair price. I would use them again.

After submitting an online inquiry for house cleaning services through HomeAdvisor, I received 2 phone calls within a matter of a few minutes! I scheduled 2 in-home estimates same-day and felt both services were professional, reasonably priced, and would meet our needs for a very thorough cleaning. The service selected completed a 3-story house "deep-deep" cleaning 3 days later and far exceeded our expectations!

Hummingbird came in and removed a tree planted years ago in a bad spot. Very professional and timely in their work. They cleaned our yard and our neighbor's walkway. We were very happy with their work. Another neighbor around the corner hired them to do work at his home also.

Install shower & remove existing tub - I talked to 2 contractors from HomeAdvisor and 1 other company - Bath Planet. The 1st contractor was a plumber and this job required several other trades including carpentry & tiling. I was apprehensive of dealing with an unknown contractor and HomeAdvisor gave me some confidence that these contractors were reputable. Once we met with Isaac we found him professional, experienced & believable. His time table also worked well for us.

We needed an electrician for a small job in our second home in Palm Springs. Since we are not in Palm Springs all the time, we didn't have a list of familiar and reliable contractors at hand and so we contacted HomeAdvisor. The representative on the telephone was professional and helpful; gave us choices, and connected us with a competent electrician who could come in the next couple of days. The job was completed in a satisfactory manner.

Remodel of a fireplace - The first company I found on my own gave me a bid I considered 30% above what I felt was appropriate. I used HomeAdvisor and got flawless quality work done more quickly than the first company and at less than half the price.

I have had many different experiences interviewing HomeAdvisor contractors and only one contractor was actually good. The first contractor charged me for work but did not complete the job. HomeAdvisor said that it "was not their fault--contractors are not always reliable". It took over one year to get my small project completed.

Home Advisor provided guidelines to consider in selecting a mover which were very helpful. Examples: get 3 estimates and note what services the company offers for the price quoted. Because I needed to move a washer/dryer combination, one company explained that they did not provide this service.

Breakfield Fending was hired to install a black, 4 ft. chain link fence in our backyard. I hired them because of their rating on Home Advisor. I was not disappointed by the transaction. I will use Home Advisor for research when in need of additional maintenance issues.

Three outlets in my kitchen were not working. Checked electricians on Home Advisor. They came fast and fixed the problem. Way better than Angie's List. Went with innovative lighting and I was so pleased with the work and the price. Now my outlets are working great.

I love the fact I have different options and ratings for selecting a plumber in my area. Working with a professional in the area that did a great job is easier to refer. Also reading the reviews other people give, help determine how their experience was.

Garage door would not open, car trapped inside. Appointment was set up for Wed. 1/10/18, by HomeAdvisor computer but contractor called and reset it for Tuesday 1/9/2018. Very pleased. Contractor had to rehab control gear linkage, set chains and reroute wiring. Door functions quietly and well currently.

I have used HomeAdvisor on a couple occasions and no problems. I will definitely use them again. I get responses very quickly and they always follow up to see if they can help more. I would definitely recommend this site for finding contractors.

Needed a heating problem fixed. HomeAdvisor got a repairman out on same day I called. Very pleasant to talk to also. I would call them again if I needed help and also would recommend friends to call if they didn't already have someone to fix a particular problem.

However, both choices give to me by HomeAdvisor were helpful and I ended up going with one of the options for the project and I am very satisfied with my choice. The website was easy to use and will use again for future home improvement needs.

Had a clogged drain. They recommended a contractor. A2Z, and they were great. I would use again and tell my friends about them. They were fast and sent me plenty of options to choose from. I will use them in the future for all home repair needs that may come up.

I didn't expect to hear back so quickly from HomeAdvisor or the contractor that I chose. Very happy with the response and my choice of contractor.

I only used those willing to give a free estimate for the job. I chose someone from the HomeAdvisor recommendation list. I would use HomeAdvisor again.

Garage door(s) open/close switches needed service. Tech added two switches to open/close that worked with existing coupled light switches. Doors open and close properly and the lights illuminate as desired. This approach saved a trip to the garage door manufacturer's parts store which would have delayed the repair and would have added an additional trip to the cost of the repair.

It was clear to me that HA was receiving a financial incentive to single out this company. I chose instead to go by the ratings and the people I hired had 521 5 star ratings. THAT'S RIGHT MONDAY NIGHT.

I filled out the information they requested and when it gave me two options: if I wanted companies to contact me or just see the list of possible companies.
