Garage Door Spring Repair - Vendor replied to HomeAdvisor query promptly. He was professional and cordial. Was able to meet our time requirements with a reasonable cost. Showed up on time and fixed the issue for a cost less than the maximum quoted. His performance matched the ratings in HomeAdvisor.

Very professional and courteous and did the job at the price quote that was set. The employees had Picture ID's and uniform shirts and we were notified in advance as to when they would arrive. They did an on site inspection before quote. I would recommend this company.

Glad to easily find reviewed service providers. Easy to use and I like the fact that reviews are submitted by individuals who have actually used their services. I really try to find companies that friends or family or others recommend.

B.J. Trim Carpentry Inc - This company was very professional. They did excellent work. I was totally satisfied. The crown molding he installed totally finished off my home. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

I was impressed with how simple the process was and with the work that was conducted. I had a garbage disposal replaced. I asked them to purchase the disposal on my behalf and install it. I was grateful for the one-stop shop.

I had a new kitchen range installed, which had to be larger than the 1/2 inch pipe. The plumber was able to cut off piping to the backyard and run a new line to the range. The work was done on time and as stated by the professional. The worker was clean, professional and courteous.

My husband has been a master electrician all his life. When he recently retired we thought he might do some sides jobs after HomeAdvisor called him. The price was $350.00. After he told me he did this we called them and found out it is really just a company that sells leads. That is OK but what they failed to disclose is they sell the leads 3 times. I finally got that info after insisting I speak to a manager. We never took any leads from them and cancelled the service 3 hours after we signed up after we found this out and went to the bank and cancelled the payment on our credit card. Now trashy bill collectors call us and we have received bills ranging from $400.00 to $1250.00. This is deceptive trade practice. BTW, no one checks out who comes in your house. My husband has been checked out before because he has worked at schools and hospitals and it takes days, not hours so they are lying on their commercials.

The website was easy, referrals easy to follow-up on. Communication with the potential hire and HomeAdvisor was fast. Junk King came, had no issue with what was to be removed, took payment in all forms, cash, check, credit, debit. The people removed everything quickly.

I took a chance and was very happy with all. HomeAdvisor did not pressure us into any purchase or quick decision, but provided information in follow up emails. I had trouble using their website, but called customer service and they provided the name of a reliable contractor. I prefer talking to a person over navigating a website. Some companies don't make their customer service as easy to find or use.

Remove and Replace driveway. Connected two Downspout Drains on the south side of my house to a French Drain that emptied into a Storm Drain. Added a French Drain across my backyard and connected it to two downspout drains on the north side of my house and connected all to the Storm Drain.

Work required knowledge of the process and he had the experience. He was able to modify the existing bracket and was able to circumvent that problem.

I have used Home Advisor for every project since I bought my condo two years ago. They are easy to use online, but I love that their customer service agent calls me to check in before and after a project is complete. I can explain to them exactly what I need done, and they help me find the right person or company for the job. A good example is when I remodeled my bathroom, I was confident enough to do the tile work, but had no idea how to take out the tub and place a new one, I received a few quotes, but settled with a company that would help me DIY, and didn't charge me a ton of money. The owner of the plumbing company was nice enough to help me turn my dresser into a vanity at no extra cost. Home Advisor makes the process stress free, and I rely on them for all my home projects. It's nice to know they have your back when going into a project :).

Jersey Pest gave me a FAIR PRICE for EXCELLENT SERVICE, especially since they answered a service call at 7:00 on a weeknight. They worked for 3 hours until they were absolutely certain all entryways were closed off except for a single one-way exit tunnel. The company AAA dependable was great. Jeff the gentlemen that I spoke with outstanding. My cesspool was pumped in August and then I find out that it has to be done again. I was just livid. I contacted Home Advisor and this company was the first to call and I spoke with Jeff told him about what happened came next day serviced my overflow that she have been done initially. Very happy with his work and told me I have any problem he comes back not like the other company. They said it was not guarantee you must have had something running.

Finding a plasterer that will work in your home around the holidays is extremely hard to find. Through Home Advisor the task was simplified because available people called looking for work. I did not spend time calling answering machines or being told "I'm Booked" The person(s) that were available got work. I think it's a great concept, plus the ability to read the reviews helped me find the right guy based on work done, so it matched the right person with proper expertise with the job.

Hired H&D Home Repair, LLC to put roof Christmas lights Nov 23rd 2017, today is December 4 2017. I got ripped off. Paid half of $800. The owner has given me the runaround. No installation or money back. Every day has been an excuse on why he hasn't installed it. I was fed up yesterday and ask for a refund. He's now stating he will mail me a check made out to cash. Which is a lie. I have all texts and receipt of deposit. I will report all this to the police department. I went to address of his company and he disappeared. I googled him and he's rated a F with BBB. Has another open case for $5000 he ran off with as well another for $800. I'm hoping HomeAdvisor whom recommended him or the police department will resolve this issue.

Kitchen floor ceramic tiles needed grout repaired, whole floor needed regrouting and sealing. Two small bathrooms needed tiles cleaned, regrouted and sealed. Worker was timely, efficient and cleaned up when done. Job was costly, but done well. Dealers ng with HomeAdvisor was a positive experience and I would do it again.

Although I have had mixed results with HomeAdvisor pros, I can see that they try to make things better and listen to feedback. It is a great site for getting quick responses from a large number of pros. Not as good for getting people to bid on small jobs and there have been a few contractors who try to use speedy responses to overcharge. I can see the improvement so will continue to use them when I think it is appropriate.

HA quickly provides a list of contacts who are professional, direct, fast and candid about the project. Also, the contractors seem to value their good ratings from HA yet do not pester customers to supply these ratings. I have lived in various parts of the country and realize some areas have more HA listings than others.

I did not ask for their choices is companies, but they sent them anyway, and I am glad they did as I would probably put it off again for a while. Stump removal done the next day after I called. It took about 2 hours to grind the stump. I had to remove the chips and dirt. I found that not all of the roots were removed so the person had to come back out to finish the job. He was back out an hour after I called and finished the stump removal.

It was for a garbage disposal replacement - contractor came through with new machine, saving me time on buying it myself. Kitchen faucet installation and gas line estimate - Only one of the two recommended plumbers responded to our inquiry. And they were not 'local". They were over 50 miles away. We went with them anyway. They did have good service and a really great technician. I would still recommend this company as they responded to our initial inquiry in a timely manner and they showed up when they said they would.

Some of the contractors are very good and have great prices --- some are not qualified, or too expensive. It does get very annoying when you put out a request and get way too many harassing calls --- even after you picked out a person to deal with. You will get zero or 20 calls. The site is good for most jobs like bricklayers, garage door installers, landscaping, etc! But even then --- you have to sort through a lot of frogs.

My experience was fine. I'd like to have spaces to add comments under other. In the project description, the choices were not accurate. I chose repair grout and it was actually replace grout. Same comment for materials: new grout and sealer.

I don't know if Hom Advisor has guidelines for the people who advertise on the site. My second contractor was great. On 9 Oct 17, I hired a contractor with a 5 star rating on HomeAdvisor. The contractor did very, very poor work and I tried to post the poor rating, but HomeAdvisor blocked it. Then I called them on 27 Nov 17 to file a complaint and they said the contractor (Cloud Painting) was no longer an authorized agent, even though they posted a comment with a 5 star rating on 9 Nov 17. They said they "released" my comments, but they were never available publicly. If you go to the site, Cloud still has a 5 star rating. I believe that HomeAdvisor is purposefully blocking bad ratings to avoid bad publicity (when they recommend someone and they do poor work) and lawsuits. HomeAdvisor refused to investigate the poor work of Cloud Painting and referred me to BBB. No acceptable... Please assist in investigating HomeAdvisor.
