We purchased a place in Florida that needed work. I googled what I needed and HomeAdvisor popped right up. I emailed in my requests and within an hour someone called me and we set up an appt. So far I am just so happy with the people, their work and expertise. I have told several people about this. They work on the place and we don’t even have to be there. They keep us in the loop every step of the way. Thank you so much HomeAdvisor.

Circle B Construction completed a range of projects on my mother's house in San Angelo, Texas, from refinishing kitchen cabinets, replacing a bathtub surround, installing laminate wood flooring and painting interior walls. Good quality work done on time and within budget.

Had 3 companies come out. 2 were very professional and close in price. I hired the one who told me about his business and other clients and assured me he had all his own equipment. Actually was pulling a stump grinder, asked could be come out earlier to bid. I was impressed with his teaching out to confirm. I was only disappointed in one. He showed on time but barely spoke to me. Started looking at the wrong tree to remove. I was in the yard next door so I called him over. Looked at my tree and quoted me a price while handing me his business card. I had to ask him to put it in writing.

I was given an excellent company to do our gutter work. The guys from Home Craft Gutter Protection Company were very professional and knowledgeable and completed the job the next day. We now have a complete gutter protection system in place. Can't wait to see how it works when the rain comes!

I needed some shingles reattached quickly on a very steep roof. I described the project on HomeAdvisor and received at least two phone calls. I hired the first caller as he was very close to my house and available almost immediately. We worked out a good price and he completed the repairs quickly. I have had three excellent experiences with HomeAdvisor and will use them again.

I needed a termite inspection done today, it was great, got on HomeAdvisor and within 30 minutes I had a text from the inspector to schedule an appointment two hours later. The inspector showed up on time, inspected, told me I had termites and scheduled for the next day to come out and take care of them. It worked out great.

I did not know what was needed to fix my AC. HomeAdvisor recommended two companies. I had both come out to give estimates. One company suggested an easy fix, which it appears worked. The other company wanted to replace the unit, which apparently was not needed. I had very quick turnaround. Both companies showed up when expected. I would recommend HomeAdvisor & multiple estimates!

Gave us 3 company options. 2 of the 3 contacted us promptly and were very professional. We ended up using one of the companies recommended and we were very happy with the work done (awnings fixed). Will use HomeAdvisor again for sure.

HomeAdvisor has many options to choose from. They had recommendations for a job that I really didn't think they'd have but they did. I needed some cinderblocks removed that were attached to a slab without damaging the slab. I hired HandyAngel and was very happy with the job they did.

We have found two great contractor through HomeAdvisor; a window cleaner and a carpet cleaner. We have used the window cleaner twice and will continue with them. Our experience with HomeAdvisor contradicted the praises I've read about the company. We hired a contractor that was highly rated by HomeAdvisor but the contractor was a mess. He delivered an extremely disappointing service, which cost us more to fix the damage he did. Then the same contractor cited the "great reviews" he got from HomeAdvisor! I now believe those reviews are nothing more paid advertisement hiding under the deceptive cover of "customer reviews". So, I would never trust anything positive being said from HomeAdvisor.com.

The installation is as I wanted. RJD was prompt and polite and was careful to do a good job. The job was to put a fixture over the kitchen sink where there wasn't one. Involved drilling holes in cabinet and running new wires.

Called about a replacement of a water heater to HomeAdvisor. Before I knew it I was receiving a call from a business and I was on my way to getting my problem resolved. The plumber arrived on time and was finished in a timely manner.

My Air Condition unit fail to cool house at thermostatic setting. Called Florida Cooling Experts. Vic Westman owner/tech called and showed up on time. Vic ran check on system. Determine there was a possible Freon leak. No leak was locate but additional check revealed unit was 8 lbs low of Freon! Unit was topped off. Vic explained everything he was doing and suggested I set up a regular maintenance schedule which I did. I was impressed with his service and would highly recommend Florida Cooling Experts to anyone that needs service or repair.

From the Business perspective. I started using HomeAdvisor at the end of February 2018. It became obvious really fast that it was extremely hard to make contact with the leads. Overall, I haven't been able to reach most leads. I always call the leads back the same day if not within the 10 minutes. There have been 2 - 3 leads in one day before and I wasn't able to contact any of them. Despite leaving messages and e-mails, you never hear back from them. All in all it is a small percentage of the leads that I am able to reach. They simply are not reachable at all, which means they weren't really a lead. Guess what, it doesn't stop there. Three different times when I got through to a lead, they told me they had never been on HomeAdvisor, they were on Angie's List.

You don't have to worry about that with Shawn's Tree Service, he takes into consideration everything around your potential work area, and makes sure nothing will be destroyed. He is the BEST.

I had seamless gutters installed on my house by JVL gutters and they did a good job. I put off doing this for much too long not knowing who to hire to get the job done right. You hear stories about bad contractors all the time and I didn't want the hassle. The JVL people arrived, got right to work, did a good job and were done by lunch time.

I had a hole in the drywall after a light fixture was replaced in the bathroom. The hole was patched and sanded. There were old patched areas that were not as neat. These areas were redone and look good. (The wall has not been painted, but I'm sure if it needed a paint touch up it would have been done - and you can always ask.)

Gold Leaf did a good job and removed a tree plus some branches that had fallen during a storm in the fall. They did a good, quick job. I didn't have the stump ground so it was left a little taller than I wanted, but for the price of the job I certainly would use them again.

Plans were made to meet and when he arrived he was able to give me a written quote and a nice portfolio of our existing roof. He is very prompt. Trustworthy to have on property. My soil is very poor quality but we made a plan for improving that due to his knowledge in yard maintenance. I just wish HomeAdvisor would just let the customer make the phone calls. When we put the info into the system you match us up to a company and the calls start. Why not let me go through the reviews first then I'll call who I want to do the job. But other than that you do a really good job.

Immediately I got 3 contractors phone calls. They all gave me estimates and suggestions for what needed done. I would have hired any of the three but ended up with the one who bid the least. I had repairs to my gutters and and leaf guards put in. They installed one new down spout, and repaired several others. They cleaned out the gutters and put a drip guard on the house and garage which our last shingles had not done. They touched up some paint. The 3 that worked here were very nice. They kept me informed as to what they were doing and they worked constantly from their arrival until they were done.

The only reason I rated HomeAdvisor a 3 instead of a 5 is because of the incessant number of emails they send once you register. It's maddening and unnecessary. From the very beginning of registering with HomeAdvisor, users should be able to select how often they would like to receive emails rather than just sending them out daily.

Joe gave me a price for tearing out old concrete slab and sidewalk. Next morning his crew showed up to start job. They worked all day and project looks great. The new concrete patio looks better than ever and sidewalk looks even better. Patio was installed with proper slope to drain water away from the house. I wish I had called 10 years ago.
