I used HomeAdvisor at 5:30 AM, when we discovered Well water had quit. Within 4 Minutes, I had a list of at least 2 trusted companies. I called them both, One returned call at about 6:00 AM, promised to be at my home by 9:00 AM. Keller WELL repair showed up on time, Fixed the problem immediately, cost was Most reasonable. They educated me on maintenance routine. I had water by 10:00 AM. THANK YOU. Great Job.

This house was built in 1985 and we have owned it since 1990, so this was the first R&R Electrical work in the ceiling area. We liked our interaction with N O T W Electrical & our plans to do it right, which was done, this early afternoon. We also discussed a plan of attack for some other issues, which were very helpful. **Great experience**.

Spray foam insulation - The contractor did a great job. He explained what was going to be done and was very clean in their work. He also gave me advice on other projects we were going to do in the future. I highly recommend this company.

Had a leak in my garage roof around flashing & shingles on my home in Delray Beach Fla. They took care of it. Fixed it temporary on a Monday as soon as I called & came back in a few days to finalize my roof problem. Would recommend this company to everyone.

After requesting info about contractors for building a new fence, I promptly received a number of responses and chose the contractor with the most favorable rating. This contractor immediately went to work and completed the job superbly. I have no reservations about the quality of the work.

Really narrowed down my options for repair companies and the ratings are invaluable. I did get options for companies that did not service my area which is the reason for the 4 stars. I would recommend HomeAdvisor as it takes most of the guest work out of finding a reputable company.

We were contacted by a very aggressive and unprofessional salesman, who talked us into taking on their services. Shortly after accepting we contacted them to cancel but continued to be charged on our credit card. Today we received a call from a collection agency as we had American Express reverse the charges on our bill. We contacted the company to explain the situation to them but they were unreasonable and would not cancel the collection process even though we cancelled their service.

The HomeAdvisor set up is a pretty good scam on contractors. They are supposed to vet the leads they send out to a contractor and charge for. There is no vetting whatsoever. The price points they charge you are ridiculous also. 80 dollar leads for non vetted calls is dumb. 20 dollar charges for one hour jobs is dumb. I turned off the lead generation so they couldn't pump my credit card full of charges and was having clients do reviews and they sent me a voicemail telling me they aren't doing any advertising for me because I have nothing creating leads for them. Although they have my yearly fee.

I always find satisfaction with HomeAdvisor about its services. Its referrals/contractors are dependable and "good performers"; that is why I keep coming back to HomeAdvisor when needed. I would strongly recommend to family and friends... wasting no time with HomeAdvisor when you want get the project done on time.

It is not easy to find a reliable contractor to do different kinds of projects around the house. HomeAdvisor provides a great and valuable service. It was nice to be able to have several plumbers who we could call who were already checked out. We used 4 Towns Plumbing for the work and were very pleased with them and the price. We have other work that needs doing and plan on contacting them to do it for us.

One of two garage door springs were broken. Call to HomeAdvisor resulted in connection to repair person who scheduled the next day. Quick service, repair completed. Replaced both springs, pulleys, cable and new rollers. Repairman was very knowledgeable about operation and care of door openers.

You can have them come back to complete the work if you don't have enough money at 1st to complete the job. They are willing to work with you financially & time wise, as well.

We are home builder and a client was claiming we need to change all the roof due to poor workmanship. We knew this is a excuse to get some money, we hired roof inspector and meet at the location, and inspector after viewing the roof he will write a report and recommendation which with his experience and knowledge we will save lots of money and come out of this senescence very clean.

Awesome! This is the second time I've used HomeAdvisor to choose a professional to provide a needed service. The first was to find a contractor to build a new deck 3 years ago, and this time to provide needed electrical work on 2 projects (add a new outlet in the basement and completely install a lamp port near the front door). Radon Reduction - SWAT did an excellent job installing the equipment and explaining how it worked and how they will service it in the future. They left test packets so we can test the results. It makes very little noise. Exterior placement was excellent and it can only be seen from part of the backyard.

I contacted United Republic Construction in April to install flooring in the bedrooms of my new home. I needed two valves replaced for the water inlets on the washing machine and used HomeAdvisor to find Amy Plumbing. The plumber showed up on time, looked at the valves then wrote a quote for $450. I thought that was high but told him to go ahead. After some tinkering he decided he needed to get access to the valves from the other side of the wall, then proceeded to cut a hole about 1 foot square in the living room drywall (the other side of the laundry room). After about 4 hours of work and complaining how difficult it was, he finished replacing the valves. He then “inspected” the other plumbing in the condo, quoting me $1050 to replace the plumbing on the water heater “before it burst” (I had the water heater professionally installed about three years prior, the plumbing does not need to be replaced). Of course before leaving he did not repair the drywall cut out from the living room.

After hour's call when I discovered AC wasn't working properly. Had a call from business within minutes and scheduled repair the following morning first thing. He showed up on time and knew exactly what to do when he set foot on my property.

A customer of HomeAdvisor created a profile with an incorrect phone number - my phone number, and created a request for roofing suppliers to contact them. I have so far received countless calls from suppliers starting at 7 am today (this is the second time in 6 months this has happened). When I contacted HomeAdvisor customer service to request they remove the phone number or contact the customer to request they correct the details in their profile, I was conveniently hung up on by Adam. When I called back and again spoke with Adam he was hesitant to do anything, then condescendingly told me not to answer unknown caller numbers. As I have my own business that doesn't work for me.

We had two Skylights that were leaking and starting to cause interior damage. Best Choice Construction Estimated the work of replacing the shingles and taking out the two skylights and boarding them up. Making the interior ceiling look same as the existing and all at an affordable price.

We had been trying to get a contractor to do our kitchen cabinet project for 5 months without any success. Everybody was busy doing Hurricane Harvey repairs. Lowe's sent their contractor who gave us an estimate 3 times higher than the job should cost. HomeAdvisor put us in contact immediately with 3 good contractors. Hauling of trash and larger items from outside. Then I asked if he could stay and do yard work. He was available and worked very hard. Clean out of flower beds, digging holes for new bushes, pulling weeds, reworking of soil hauling bags of soil, reworking of pavers around flower beds. Very polite and professional.

Service is good but as usual being asked too many follow up questions. I have been asked on several occasions if I was satisfied with the work even before the work was done. I do however understand the importance of the follow up questions. Thank You.

Extremely helpful to get referrals of companies that have been screened. Hiring a pro is a daunting experience and I always start with HomeAdvisor. I have never been disappointed with this process and use HomeAdvisor for my home in Virginia and my home in Florida.

Water heater stopped heating. Jeff responded to my request for service people before I actually called anyone. He came over that evening, examined to water heater, and gave us several options that were available and let us choose how we wanted to proceed. Came the next morning with a new water heater, removed the old one and took it away with him, and installed a new one by noon, less than 24 hours after I first contacted HomeAdvisor.

I contacted HomeAdvisor because I need gutters and found somebody (Rainaway Gutters Chagrin Falls, Ohio) that took advantage of me because I'm disabled. They don't stand behind their work or the professionals. I've complained a lot of times. He came out and said nothing is wrong, but you can see my gutter guards are at an angle. You can see them from my neighbor’s house. I will never use HomeAdvisor again.

We hired R3 Hauling Solutions, out of Frederick, MD to collect and haul away some removed flooring debris/materials and a large water heater from our cellar. I got the Plumber, Tree trimmers, Upholsterer all from HomeAdvisor. They were all great!! No complaints. So easy to do, everyone was nice, came on time. I will use HomeAdvisor for everything I need. Especially when I am in an area where I don't know the craftsmen.

I requested bids on a roof replacement. HomeAdvisor suggested 4 qualified construction companies to give me bids on the job. All 4 companies were insured and were offering quality material. I chose the company that I felt offered the best quality for the price quoted.

I will NEVER use this service again! Y'all SUCK!!! Rep called to cancel my appointment with Junk Doctor hours before the service (booked it a week in advance) said he couldn't get a hold of anyone from junk doctor or me, that was the first call I got, junk doctor never got a call either. Junk Doctor told me he has had several conversations with HomeAdvisor about this issue, guess you don't value the business you represent. Called home advisor back about the guy rudely cancelled my appointment and lied to me. The girl on the phone was about as helpful as a wall. No one wanted to help! Will never use or recommend this site to anyone.

Although I had somewhat positive luck with the professional I hired through HomeAdvisor, you should still be careful with who you hire in regards to them being fully licensed. I was told that a contractor I used to build a retaining wall was licensed and this was not the case. The screening process leaves me a bit uncomfortable but it's a risk you have to take at times. Just be on your guard, listen and ask a lot of questions.

The guys did an excellent job. I had overgrown yard and needed multiple free growing ligustrums cut down. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend them. Very professional guys. They were very fast and as I said earlier did a great job on my front & back yards.
