They have been very helpful in every pro listing they have given me. I have been very pleased with each service and appreciate the service HomeAdvisor offers to make it easier to find and choose a professional to finish my request.

I have used HomeAdvisor to present professionals to use for three projects this year and have been happy with the results. Even when one of the recommended contractors did not respond and I called HomeAdvisor and the Advisor immediately found another contractor ready to go that same day was awesome so I did not have to take any more time off of work.

I had a bird in my dryer vent. Come to find out there was a dead one too. Eco Clean was referred to me by HomeAdvisor. They were very responsive, and came out when it was convenient for me. It was priced half of what I heard from others and my vent was on a hill and more than 30 feet up. Awesome! Thank you.

Duct and vent cleaning - Guys were open with what they found and recommended solutions and priced those options out on the spot. Small amounts of mold were found and pointed out to me, opted to fog vent work and floor joist from the basement side.

Very pleased with the process. Annoyed with requests for follow up praise requests. I asked for a job to be sourced, I received several referrals, I hired one, did the task at hand, paid them and done. Then phone calls, and emails seeking too much information.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but about half the time there are no matches and no replies to any of my inquiries. Most of my jobs are smaller so I think maybe there just isn't any interest in taking them.

They connected me with a reliable electrician in my area in a matter of minutes. Their recommendation contacted me right away and we were able to set something up for the next day. I was very happy with the work that was done and I would use HomeAdvisor again for other projects.

Had a roof leak and 1st Choice helped me out fast. No more leak and give me a good explanation as to what the cause was and what a properly installed roof should have that would include metal in valleys and proper nailing of shingles and vents. Thank you for your help.

I used Leafguard. They were courteous and efficient and did a great job. They removed old gutters and downspouts and replaced with new gutters with Leafguard which is an exceptional product which attaches to the gutter and does not affect the roof shingles. They cleaned the yard when done. I have a lot of pines. No more cleaning gutters!

The contractor used was very good, and very easy to work with. The contractor was responsive when need to be contacted, and the quality of the work was excellent. I had a small patio to be extended to a sunroom and a small patio added to the end of the sunroom.

I cannot believe how bad the leads have been from HomeAdvisor. Most have been people asking for things that are not in the category you are requesting leads from. Some never answer and now we just realized why. I have had my leads turned on for commercial lawn mowing for 6 months, finally I get one lead today. Within 2 hours we had driven out to look at the property and call the lead. He told us he hired someone 2 weeks ago and did not put a lead through HomeAdvisor that day.

Jeff and his team wrapped tree trunks of large trees to provide simple holiday lighting in our yard. The lighting provided more visual interest in an area that neighbors could enjoy as they drove/walked by our home. My house had two layers of asphalt to be removed before re-shingling. The crew tarped over my deck and flower garden to protect them. They also tarped the front of my garage door to protect it from debris being dropped into the dumpster. A thorough clean up was done at the end of the job. Cass Plumbing is an EXCELLENT Company! They were HONEST, prompt, courteous, easy to work with. They did an EXCELLENT job repairing my Gas Tankless Hot Water Heater. I was terrified that it couldn’t be repaired and I would have to spend a fortune replacing it. They did not try to rip me off, price gauge, or sell me things that I did not need, like another company that I had called before them. In fact, they gave me a great deal PLUS the $75 New Customer discount! Tammy, at their office was always there for me and very helpful. Brian, the technician who did the actual repair was a Knowledgeable Expert and “Johnny-on-the-spot”! He did the repair in very little time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Would definitely use them again.

Contractor hired (AquaDry) had to add French drain around perimeter underneath house, sump pump with external pipe to remove rain water, added dehumidifier, added drop girders and jacks, replaced some of the insulation near vents. Very pleased with contractor. Competitive pricing.

They were not about selling a product but solving an issue. We manually placed the electronic fence in 4 years ago and I recoiled at having to do that again. In two hours we resolved an issue.

We found a contractor to tear down and replace our deck through HomeAdvisor. Feeling good that they stated they did background checks and seeing him have a 5 star rating we started the process. The gentleman asked for money to get started, took our existing deck down and brought out wood to replace it. Months go by and he is constantly avoiding us and giving us excuses as to why he can't get started. Next thing we know he has our money, took the wood and is gone. We find out through our county that he does not even have a contractor license and didn't have one throughout the whole process. We spent money through small claims court to get a judgment in our favor, more money to get an execution order, and get him on theft only to find that he is already in jail.

Stoop, Sidewalk and Flower rebuilt - Previous structure was depilating, Action Concrete came in and did a beautiful. Work was completed in a timely manner. They cleaned up after each day of work without any mess or sign. All workers was professional and sort my opinion as they work daily.

Built the retaining/garden wall in front of house in one day and mulched and planted the next day. Sent me pictures along the way while building. Due to a very strong wind storm, sections were blown down while others almost blown down with broken posts and causing other posts to be fairly loose with supporting brace boards separated from slats and posts, and banged up gates. Before they replaced all broken/torn posts, brace boards, slats and repaired the loose posts, gates, etc... They made sure that the old cedar fence was cleaned and applied wood sealant afterwards. Very happy with their overall customer service, attitude and desire to get the job well done.

Mikes Pro Handyman hired through Home Advisor. Did not complete all jobs. Paid the bill and he said he’d send me an itemization of the charges. He was here 3/12/18. Contacted him several times via text and phone without a response. Contacted Home Advisor 2 times. They contacted him and he said he was having personal issues. They also said that’s all they could do.

The staff is very nice and very dedicated. I would recommend this service. They came on time and I needed a cleaning in a rush, they came the next day, couldn't be more happy to see my house clean. :)

We looked for a repair on Home Advisor Monday evening and scheduled a time for the next morning within 10 minutes of getting online and an estimate about 1hr later (Sears put us out one week for a repair). He was at our house right on time. Very Personable. Was nice to our dog. We were debating on just getting a new washer and dryer rather than going through the hassle and cost of repair but for a great cost, Shane basically gave us back brand new equipment.

I had called several roofing companies prior to using HomeAdvisor. When I left messages for these companies, they were usually not returned. And when I finally got a hold of one of them to schedule an estimate for my roof, they never showed up for the appointment. After using HomeAdvisor, I was able to get several estimates (quickly) and then hire a great company that did high quality work on a very reasonable timeline.

Determined there was no pressure regulator for the yard. (Very high readings at the faucets and well as leaking.) He installed an new pressure regulator where there had never been one. The yard pressure has dropped now and I'm very happy there is no longer leaking at the timers when they turn off the water.

I have hired several companies off of HomeAdvisor. All of them were very honest and thorough with their work. The only exception was the Geek Squad of Best Buy. They told me they could do the project I needed done, collected the money beforehand, (that should have been my sign) and when the man got here he stood in the middle of my living room looking like a clueless lost soul and said he couldn't do it. I have asked for my money back, still have not gotten it. That's 200$! Please help! As far as HomeAdvisor, I would definitely use them again.

I asked why don't they have them listed. Because they were not reputable according to HomeAdvisor. HomeAdvisor is a scam. They get money on bids they send to people. If you wanna pay more use HomeAdvisor. But if you want to depend on people you know and trust use local businesses that are reputable by their work.

I am surprised to learn that you charge each company over $30 for each referral, whether or not it leads to a transaction. I appreciate not being charged as the customer, but companies are going to feel the need to charge us extra on the back end to cover this cost.
