I started using HomeAdvisor only a short time ago for both business and home projects. They are now my go to people. I'm impressed every time with them and the contractors I select. HomeAdvisor follows up on each job and asks to ensure my satisfaction with the contractor.

We had 3 trees cut and removed from our backyard. Also, other trees were trimmed. Yard was cleaned and left in nice condition. Everything was cleared and entire job was finished in a remarkable time. I would hire this company for any trees that we need cut or trimmed.

I made an appointment with the first appraiser who contacted me. He did not show. I called him and he told me that I was mistaken and that the appointment was for the following week and time. Next week came - no show again - not even the courtesy of a phone call. Guess my mistake was trying to hire this appraiser. Finally hired James ** who was punctual and thoroughly professional.

Requested service around 10 AM and had someone return my call within 2 minutes of that request. Then after talking to the service provider had an appointment scheduled that afternoon between 2 & 2:30 PM. Service man called at 1:45 to let me know he was on the way, showed up at 2, repairs completed by 3:30 PM. Very happy!

So far, good luck with all 4 pros. I have not yet rated the fourth pro since the job isn't finished but will soon. HomeAdvisor is a very good way to find the right person for the job whatever it may be. We hired a deck guy, insulation guy, deck staining guy, and now a sprinkler system and sod guy. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor for future projects.

Bad First - Wasn't easy to get it to just give me an electrician's number to get an estimate. Good - It did match up with a good fit as far as electrician, who when he got there didn't realized that I wanted an estimate. But once I got the estimate, I immediately was able to let him do the job as the pricing seemed fair. Overall a good experience.

Despite many landscape contractors listed, I did not get any contact from the three I selected from the original offered list. Three contractors that "also wanted to offer a bid" were the ones I dealt with. One offered a skimpy proposal, one offered a price, but had limited description. The one selected was similar in cost to the other two offers in cost, but had a detailed scope of work and detailed cost estimate.

Our dryer is stacked and had to be moved for the vent to be inspected and cleaned. The technician inspected the whole system and found that the problem for the vent to clog so frequently was on the roof where the vent discharged. The work was completed quickly. The area around the dryer was cleaned and the dryer was returned to its original position. The charge was very reasonable.

Drywall Cracks in my Ceiling - I made a appoint the same day. He came out to my home and gave me a very good price. He was able to fix it the same day. He painted it. Cleaned everything up nicely. It now looks like new. I would defiantly recommend Alfredo.

Pressure wash and stain 500 sq. ft. deck. I had a call immediately after my online inquiry. Xclusive Mobile wash responded, came that day to give quote and returned following week to wash and next day returned, when he said he would to stain and finish job.

Hanson Overhead Door repaired my broken garage door in a timely and professional manner. They do great work and use quality parts. My door opener bracket had snapped in two and they mounted a reinforced bracket plus performed a 44 Point tune up on the entire system. I highly recommend them.

I have been using HomeAdvisor since 2015 for a variety of home projects. Overall, we have been highly satisfied. One former contractor/handyman started out on the right foot, but as more projects were asked of him, he was never on time and ended up hiring less experience employees to work for him and their work was not as well done as him. I referred him to a friend, however, this did not work out for her and since then, I see he is no longer a HomeAdvisor member. Overall, when I have hired someone through HomeAdvisor, the person has been excellent. Prices do vary, however.

The job was a 14ft vaulted ceiling with approx 1.5 yards of loose drywall tape affecting two areas in the master bath. Requiring drying time, the areas were both repaired and painted in an efficient and timely manner and are undetectable.

Our contractor came as advertised by HomeAdvisor. He was prompt, efficient, conscientious and personable. He completed our living room drywall in good time, with little waste or mess, and to our satisfaction. We had a somewhat difficult room to work on, with arches, warped ceiling and uneven, walls that are not square. We had the drywall installed over existing walls and ceiling, and it probably would have been easier to tear everything out and start from scratch. Mose and his assistant did a great job.

I ended up using a company I found on my own and not on Home Advisor. I also was disappointed Home Advisor called me twice after my search to suggest I download and use their app.

According to HomeAdvisor's website, they do background checks and other verification of their recommended service providers. Based on HomeAdvisor's recommendation, I hired a cleaning service. This cleaning service stole over $600 worth of tools from my garage. They also did an absolute horrible job of cleaning. They arrived three hours later than they promised and did not leave until 3 AM. They left a greasy dirty film on everything they attempted to clean. The left the oven with chemical oven cleaner. They finally admitted that someone on their crew took the tools even though we never saw anyone other than the owner and her young children doing the cleaning.

Fixed a hinge and completely tuned up my garage door. Made recommendations of when and how often to lube my Springs and hinges. Showed me how to adjust the tension on the opening and closing of the door. Technician also fixed the light fixture that wasn't working.

My husband was interested in their service but was unsure about paying upfront. He was told that he just had to provide a credit card and he could have a trial to decide if he wanted to sign up. He was charged immediately $300. After looking up the many reviews online saying they are a scam we wanted our money back. We were then charged $18 for a "lead" that wasn't a real lead, come to find out the homeowner was not actually interested and was angry that he received so many phone calls from contractors. Which means they charged multiple contractors $18 for a false lead. The end result being we had to file a dispute with the bank and change the bank card number to keep Home Advisor from more fraudulent charges. Marketing Scam!!!
