I completed the survey and HomeAdvisor found me a list of professionals that could complete my job. I chose the company that I liked and my service was done on my schedule. I would return to HomeAdvisor again whenever I need any work done at my home.

I have used HomeAdvisor before and have always been satisfied with the results. They have great connections with pro contractors. Great job. I will use them again for projects that I need done. I am 89 years old and can't do a lot of the jobs myself.

I've used HomeAdvisor for multiple projects in recent years. In each instance, my experience was positive. The contractors were professional, estimates were timely, and the final selected contractors performed well. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor when I require a new type of contractor.

This was the first time I have used Home Advisor and I am very, very pleased. I was contacted within minutes of requesting help. The gentleman came within an hour of speaking to him. He was knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing and advised on work that needed to be done and work that did not need to be done. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. I will be using him again in the future.

I am very pleased with the workmanship I received with the installation of my new fence/gate project. The crew showed up ready to go to work and it was the day after it had rained. I checked on Home Advisor for rodent control and Perry's Wildlife Control came up. They were rated well and I reached out to them through the site. They came right away, which was a Sunday! What a surprise. So using Home Advisor was a very efficient way to go!!

I have always received several recommendations when needed. Companies are responsive and costs are usually very affordable. I received most callbacks usually within a couple of hours of my request on computer. Companies are always considerate of our schedules and work with us.

All services, but one that I went through HomeAdvisor was VERY helpful. The only one that was bad had nothing to do with Home Advisor, it was with the handyman service I hired, and Home Advisor removed that company from its service.

HomeAdvisor satisfied me acting, as it does, as a liaison between homeowner and service provider. It did not earn five stars because HA's email to me listed two companies and four called. One of the companies HA listed called a day after the first one did. The other two, obviously, I did not expect. This makes me suspicious of the integrity of HA's vetting process and cyber security protections. Also, I did not appreciate all of the extra emails HA sent me after my initial request for a plumber trying to get me to request other services. However, HA prices its services unbeatably: free!

Looking for someone to trim several trees and on a fixed income on Yellow Pages. HomeAdvisor popped up on the screen and was very helpful. Simple to complete information and I would recommend them for locating the business you're searching.

We were fed up with our computer, no sound, frozen screens, slow, slow, slow, and other problems. We called three vendors, got two responses, hired on, PCSmartfix.com. Very happy with the results. Ahmid came to our house, on time and fixed our problem in less than three hours. We're about to go buy a new computer, he got what we had working instead. He even explained how he did it.

I had Royal Painters do the job for me. They were the first group I had scheduled for a bid. I thought I was going to go with them, but I've been told to get another bid, so I did, and was so unimpressed with that group that I didn't think I could trust they knew what they were doing. I can't even remember the name of the company. I have no problems with HomeAdvisor, but I wonder who you send out for bids. I've never met two guys quite like them. I got James' quote right away and went with he and his team and am so glad I did.

HomeAdvisor is a far more reliable source of information on local and independent professionals because Yelp extorts businesses by lowering their position in a searched list if that business doesn't pay for advertising. HomeAdvisor isn't special, just honest.

Very easy process to get information of PRO's to perform any project. The Home Finder portal is easy to maneuver, and a great way to get work accomplished. I am in Washington State, and got the work done in Bellwood Il easily through this process. Great Job HomeAdvisor!

I received multiple options for both of these jobs. The companies I picked were very knowledgeable and completed the work for the quoted price and in a timely fashion. I also appreciate the follow up of Home Advisor to make sure you are satisfied with the companies they recommend.

Vendor took down 2 large trees that were dying and dangerous and cleaned out a large flower bed. They also trimmed several other trees and after the job was completed they mulched everything they could and hauled all the debris away. They were very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Da Mudd Duck Tree Service.

I was satisfied with the depth of review information for each business and attentiveness to detail. The most disappointing thing about HomeAdvisor.com is the amount of money I've learned they spend advertising on Fox News. I'm not sure I can in good conscience continue to do business with an entity that supports what has been shown to be fictitious and inflammatory statements under the guise of reporting.

HomeAdvisor is my only go-to company. I have never been anything but happy with good work, prompt service and very reasonable prices. The one time the guy didn't show or disappointed me in some way (can't remember) I called HomeAdvisor and they were on it immediately. Great value all around.

We have a B&B and do laundry all day long. Having the laundry room shut down is terribly any day of the week. We developed and total obstruction in the dryer duct work and had to have help right away. Unfortunately, the duct came apart underneath the house in a hard to reach crawl space. Even though they had to work hard to diagnose the problem and make the dryer safe to use, since they could not totally repair the break, they only charged me the minimum amount. $89. More than worth it. Excellent customer service, no grumbling about it being a Sunday.

I got a committed time and quote very quickly for a company with very good reviews. Good service from Home Advisor. Much better than the old fashioned way of going through the yellow pages. (The Yellow Pages was a book published by the phone company listing paid advertisers in your area.)

At my rental property in New York, an undetected water leak caused significant damage to first floor ceilings and walls. Home Advisor offered a few contractors for this job. The first one I contacted came to the residence, provided me the cost for this job, and the following morning his worker showed up to start the job, but the owner, Ortiz Heras, did not show and had someone phone me to tell me he wanted to charge me more than the $550 cash price he quoted me the day before. I was departing for my home of record out of state in 2 days and it was the weekend.

Local contractors refused to come out on a rainy day. Contractor took pictures and clearly explained necessary repairs. Provided a clear detailed estimate. Contractor returned quickly to complete roof work prior to anticipated rain storm.

We have used Home Advisor twice. Once was for a tree cutter (fantastic job) and the other was for work on our roof (also fantastic). I think Home Advisor is such a great idea! It gives reviews from other customers so I can get an idea if I want to have that business do work for me.

My home inspection project was excellent. I got to see if all the appliances were working. He turned on the dishwasher the and forceps' throughout the house and let them run. He also checked the toilets which I didn't think that was part of the inspection. I would and have definitely recommended Mr. Jeff ** to all my family and neighbors.

So far, HomeAdvisor has hooked me up with the best roofers anyone could imagine... as well as the best tree service in the world. Of course, some of this fell on my own shoulders. HomeAdvisor will give you the names of several people... it is up to you to talk to them and get a "feel" for your trust in them once you have been given the names to choose from.

HomeAdvisor for over a year has called our business and personal cellphones soliciting us to join their predatory vendor program. We have asked to be removed from all call lists as we will not do business with them EVER. Their sale/customer service team cusses on the phone, refuses to introduce themselves upon answering the phone and beat around the bush when asked for a supervisor. This company should be shut down for violating solicitation laws and consumer/FCC violations related to cellphone solicitation! Avoid this company like the plague!

HomeAdvisor extracts requests from companies and does not have the ability to correctly extract the services required. I receive calls and emails for days for services that I do not require. For example requested yard drainage and received multiple calls and emails for foundation drainage. A waste of my time and contractors. I will never use again as even after contacting customer service they do not correct service need.

Home Advisor gave me several excellent options for my projects. I would use them again. I would also recommend them to friends and family. The contractor for my basement was a good choice, and I've had painters do both my office and home. The hardwood floor contractors were excellent.

4th project, very pleased with results. Takes some of the unknowns out of selecting a contractor. Reviews help immensely. This time it was water damage on ceiling from heavy rainstorm in August, 2018. Gutters overflowed from volume, water runs sideways into ceiling. Worrisome as to whether damage is more than surface stains, then to repair the stains. Ceiling work not for an amateur, in my opinion. Unless you are 25 years old.

A local contractor is a crook robbing many of their life savings. HomeAdvisor rates the contractor well allowing for false reviews by the contractor but not allowing for negative reviews even after notifying HomeAdvisor that the contractor has lost their license, bond and is being taken to court by several customers. Sad that HomeAdvisor is not a trustworthy source to find an honest contractor.

What I most like about Home Advisor is you can readily find a contractor who can get on the job quickly. For example, this was a small move into a storage facility and the moving company they recommended could not get to me until 1 1/2 weeks. Home Advisor company could get to me just 2 days.

It was a Sunday night when I noticed a rather large hive on the far side of my house. The pest control company I used previously did not handle bees, so I decided to see what I could find in HomeAdvisor. I started entering my info late and did get a bit frustrated so I got out without completely finishing. But I guess they had enough info because I received a call from a pest control company at 10 am Monday. I live in a rural area, so I am not sure how many good bee removal companies are around. But the company HomeAdvisor hooked me up with was great. Had an onsite estimate that same day. Bee hive was gone by Tuesday. The owner and the service technician were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and on time. Couldn't have been more happy with both the service from D C Watkins Pest and HomeAdvisor. Both get a high recommendation. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again.

I had requested estimates from three tree removal services in my area that I found on the internet. None of them even showed up to give an estimate, nor did they call to say they would not be coming. The provider recommended in HomeAdvisor called immediately to schedule the estimate, showed up exactly when he said for the estimate and also for the service, which was excellent. I will use HomeAdvisor for all my needs in the future.

We were only contractors with them for ONE month and we already canceled with them! They did NOT tell me they would charge me every week! They are trying to make me pay almost $1,000 just in one week when we didn’t get a single job from all the leads they sent!!! Imagine paying that much every week for an entire year! Yeah... we got out of that real quick! It would make more sense to charge us for each job we won instead of just for the information! Plus they sent us leads that the homeowners said they already had someone come out and fix it!

Is there a way for the user to tell HomeAdvisor that you may have a large client base but they all don't want to work or they're so busy they'll only answer calls to the areas they want to work.

I own a small roofing and exterior contracting company. One of the HomeAdvisor reps called me about 3 times a week trying to have us join. Finally, we decided to give it a shot. He said it wouldn't take long to get started over the phone. No more than 10 minutes. I was on the phone for over an hour and finally we were good. He said to call him or email him any time and he would get back to us right away. Also to tell previous homeowners to review our site. I spend around 5 hours setting up our site and emailing old homeowners to review. One person said they spent 30 minutes reviewing on the site and they had to sign up. My disabled father of 55 years old wanted me to put him on HomeAdvisor after he claimed they would help him get jobs. I started him an account with a sale woman who did not clearly explain to me the process at all! She told me to just say "yes" to the recordings that played, and now they say that I consented to their awful business model. I did not accept any leads at all and got 0 work from HomeAdvisor and yet have a bill worth over $1000.
