Every company I have hired with the advise from HomeAdvisor has been great. The work has been done well. The companies come out give an estimate. When hired they do the work as outlined, with added value, and only require payment when you are satisfied with the work.

We used HomeAdvisor to find and hire a garage door company, homeadvisor found us the best company within our service area. I'd highly recommend using homeadvisor for any projects you have around the house that you don't want to/can't do yourself...

They were on time, friendly and worked with me and my schedule. They did an outstanding job. They cleaned up after themselves. They hauled the old light, mailbox and all the wood for the old deck away. Along with some dirt that had built up under the deck. Very professional. I highly recommend them!

I was trying to find someone to mow our lawn and ran across HomeAdvisor's website. I was able to quickly and easily find someone close to where we live. I was confident because of HomeAdvisor's reputation as well as the good reviews I read about the lawn company. We were not disappointed. We got quick, reasonably-priced service, and we plan to continue using their service every other week. I will absolutely use HomeAdvisor for other projects we want to do.

I am happy with the two instances I have hired through HomeAdvisor. Only negative is I have trouble finding what I want. I don't know if it is just me and I am not using the right words for the search engine or if it more broad spread. ie I wanted a couch moved from neighbor to me - I couldn't get any closer than local movers and then sort through those that would come to Apollo Beach for such a small job. It was much harder to locate the services I wanted than I anticipated.

Very responsive contractors. However, 2 of the 3 patio contractors were awful. One wouldn't wait until I could get downstairs and left me a handwritten quote that I could hardly read! The third guy never called me back. If he wasn't interested he should have said so. Sunset Pavers followed through immediately and were great to work with.

Have found their connections to offer reliable, quality service at competitive pricing. Have done 3 deals and earned the $50 incentive but they aren't giving to me since 1 deal was with a roofer for 2 homes. Think that is a poor way to do business. Word is your honor.

The garage door spring was broken and the door would not go up all the way, making it fail to rise. The company I used came out the next morning and fixed the problem. I am very happy with the results.

I used HomeAdvisor to find a handyman. I like that way that I was given several handymen to choose from and that I could even schedule the appointment online. I was very satisfied with the handyman I found.

Fantastic service. HomeAdvisor gave a great recommendation! I had an issue with plumbing and drains. The contractors that were recommended showed up early and provided excellent customer service. Very happy with quality service. My kitchen sink drain was completely blocked prior to me using homeadvisor. Now It works with no issue. Plus the contractor assessed the issue carefully by inspecting all the plumbing to the sink and checking the condition of the piping as well as the traps. Long story short... excellent service. Danny from Elite drains is the best. A great guy. Very friendly and charged very fair price for services rendered.

It can be so overwhelming to find someone to hire for repairs. I love how easy this website is. The response is instant and so are the results. I have used HomeAdvisor in the past as well. It is so easy and organized. I love how you read all the reviews left by other customers and make up your own mind about the prospective business/contractor. It's a wonderful thing not having to thumb through the yellow pages blindly - hoping to find a good honest business.

We went with one of three referrals, the one who was willing to break the job into 2 phases. The other was more expensive. The third we refused to deal with because they would only estimate the job if they could have my wife here as well. I hold my wife's power of attorney to do any repairs and even buy and sell the property. That was just insulting.

Replacement of Garage door - I hoped that I could get away with a repair. Both of the companies (who came out on a Sunday) pointed out more problems than I had noticed and I decided to go with replacement of my 27 year old garage. The job was completed on schedule by Tuesday. Excellent work and both companies were highly aware that I had gone through HomeAdvisor.

As a Licensed Home Inspector, I once gave HomeAdvisor a shot at boosting my sales volume. They failed to get me any decent leads over several months, despite the fact that I was charged each time (usually once a week) they sent me leads. I later found out this was the same company under a different name I had contracted with and had similar results several years before. In my opinion, this service may work well for Contractors, but does not work well at all when looking for a Home Inspector. Experienced, honest and ethical Home Inspectors stay busy without such a service as this one! The new, inexperienced and cheap Home Inspectors use this service because they can't find work elsewhere. You get what you pay for in Home Inspectors from HomeAdvisor. Consumers beware!

It is a comfort to know HomeAdvisor thoroughly screens their contractors. CMC Painting was an awesome ambassador for HA. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff gave us a sense of confidence in our decision. CMC truly takes pride in their work!

I tried HomeAdvisor on a whim. The contractor called in within 5 minutes. He was a local guy who said he could price the work the next day. He did and performed the work the day after with my complete satisfaction. I will use HomeAdvisor again.

Everything else was left up to me to decide who I was going to use to do the work as it should be. I've used two different contractors on two totally different projects and both contractors I would recommend to my BEST friends. I would recommend both of them in a heartbeat. One removed our old deck and built a fabulous new covered deck that we now consider our new go to place. The other contractor refinished our hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room. The garage door made a loud noise when closing. The door repair was made by replacing one original bracket with a new stronger bracket. The track was then straightened and the noise eliminated. The only sound heard now is the door opener running when in use.

We had a pretty severe septic system blockage because of tree roots, and they recommended the remedy and performed the repairs flawlessly. Removed 35 year old Goodman A/C unit. Replaced the unit with a new Lennox high efficiency unit, replaced all old duct connected to the unit and suspended the new equipment from the roof rafters in the attic. Clean, prompt and efficient.

The very first time I tried HomeAdvisor will also be the very last! It really did seem to be too good to believe. I live in southern Florida and the A/C went out. I got on the website to find a repair company and in a matter of minutes had an appointment for first thing the following morning. I sat and waited while my house heated up and no one showed. I called the company that the appointment was made with and was told they tried the call button on the App and didn't get any answer. Meanwhile we were here. I was told due to the number of bogus appointments made by HomeAdvisor unless customer contact is made they don't come. I asked what number they were trying to call and was told they weren't provided that information, just the call back button on the App. Total waste of time!!! I found a company on my own that will be here this afternoon-if this had worked out like I was led to believe I'd have cold air right now!!! Thanks for nothing!

Circle B Construction completed a range of projects on my mother's house in San Angelo, Texas, from refinishing kitchen cabinets, replacing a bathtub surround, installing laminate wood flooring and painting interior walls. Good quality work done on time and within budget.

Had 3 companies come out. 2 were very professional and close in price. I hired the one who told me about his business and other clients and assured me he had all his own equipment. Actually was pulling a stump grinder, asked could be come out earlier to bid. I was impressed with his teaching out to confirm. I was only disappointed in one. He showed on time but barely spoke to me. Started looking at the wrong tree to remove. I was in the yard next door so I called him over. Looked at my tree and quoted me a price while handing me his business card. I had to ask him to put it in writing.

I did not know what was needed to fix my AC. HomeAdvisor recommended two companies. I had both come out to give estimates. One company suggested an easy fix, which it appears worked. The other company wanted to replace the unit, which apparently was not needed. I had very quick turnaround. Both companies showed up when expected. I would recommend HomeAdvisor & multiple estimates!

HomeAdvisor has many options to choose from. They had recommendations for a job that I really didn't think they'd have but they did. I needed some cinderblocks removed that were attached to a slab without damaging the slab. I hired HandyAngel and was very happy with the job they did.

We have found two great contractor through HomeAdvisor; a window cleaner and a carpet cleaner. We have used the window cleaner twice and will continue with them. We have only used the carpet cleaning company once but they did a great job and we will use them again as well. Great service to home owners - I will let my neighbors know about Home Advisor.

Our experience with HomeAdvisor contradicted the praises I've read about the company. We hired a contractor that was highly rated by HomeAdvisor but the contractor was a mess. He delivered an extremely disappointing service, which cost us more to fix the damage he did. Then the same contractor cited the "great reviews" he got from HomeAdvisor! I now believe those reviews are nothing more paid advertisement hiding under the deceptive cover of "customer reviews". So, I would never trust anything positive being said from HomeAdvisor.com.

Determine there was a possible Freon leak. No leak was locate but additional check revealed unit was 8 lbs low of Freon! Unit was topped off. From the Business perspective. I started using HomeAdvisor at the end of February 2018. It became obvious really fast that it was extremely hard to make contact with the leads. Overall, I haven't been able to reach most leads. I always call the leads back the same day if not within the 10 minutes. There have been 2 - 3 leads in one day before and I wasn't able to contact any of them. Despite leaving messages and e-mails, you never hear back from them. All in all it is a small percentage of the leads that I am able to reach. They simply are not reachable at all, which means they weren't really a lead. Guess what, it doesn't stop there. Three different times when I got through to a lead, they told me they had never been on HomeAdvisor, they were on Angie's List.

I had a hole in the drywall after a light fixture was replaced in the bathroom. The hole was patched and sanded. There were old patched areas that were not as neat. These areas were redone and look good. (The wall has not been painted, but I'm sure if it needed a paint touch up it would have been done - and you can always ask.)
