I am very careful about the people I hire to do any home project. I'm very concerned about my safety and security. I decided to not take chances and used HomeAdvisor to get recommendations. I knew that HomeAdvisor had verified everyone before they added their trade to their list of professionals. I will use HomeAdvisor again on other planned projects for my home.

Easy one stop. Repair was fast and efficient. The company came when they promised and asked the damage quickly. The repair was done right away and they even came to my location to pick up the check after the repair was done.

Roof repair and sheetrock replacement and painting - Service was fast and contractor was reliable and fair. Will use HomeAdvisor again if I need more work done. Still waiting for sheetrock contractor to do the job but should be soon. Also fence contractor was here and I want to check price with another contractor before we begin work.

Radon Reduction - SWAT did an excellent job installing the equipment and explaining how it worked and how they will service it in the future. They left test packets so we can test the results. It makes very little noise. Exterior placement was excellent and it can only be seen from part of the backyard.

I contacted United Republic Construction in April to install flooring in the bedrooms of my new home. After hearing my dilemma, Andrew, the owner set aside time and was at my home the next evening giving me a bid. He was very professional, respectful and friendly. He worked diligently and went above and beyond to solve my flooring issues. Once the floor install began, he himself was also here working. The crew did an awesome job, they too were professional, respectful and friendly. This experience was pleasant and I'm very pleased with the work Andrew and his crew performed. My floors look amazing! Thank you guys!

Display was showing an error message. I was unable to get the Sprinkler to run. Interestingly, your agency found 3 Contractors available in my area today to do the work I needed. However, the first to respond was the Contractor that installed my system. I was happy to reconnect with them because I had lost their number.

They have excellent customer service. They did a fantastic job cleaning everything, moving books and anything off the shelves in order to dust. Everything sparkled. Windows, balcony even the railing on the balcony. I would definitely hire Sparkle Cleaning again!

Hired TV Guys to order and professionally mount 4 TVs in our house. Keith, the owner, was very easy to work with and responded very quickly. He helped me pick out the right TVs. He then suggested some improvements to make the equipment work better.

Homeowner. Breaker tripped due to exploding ceiling fixture. Fire dept strongly suggested getting electrician eval prior to turning electricity back on. Chose electrician from HA online. Phone response of electrician I chose was immediate. Scheduled within one working day. Arrived promptly. Superior experience. Prompt, professional. Electrician and his associate explained everything and answered all questions.

I needed two valves replaced for the water inlets on the washing machine and used HomeAdvisor to find Amy Plumbing. The plumber showed up on time, looked at the valves then wrote a quote for $450. I thought that was high but told him to go ahead. After some tinkering he decided he needed to get access to the valves from the other side of the wall, then proceeded to cut a hole about 1 foot square in the living room drywall (the other side of the laundry room). After about 4 hours of work and complaining how difficult it was, he finished replacing the valves. He then “inspected” the other plumbing in the condo, quoting me $1050 to replace the plumbing on the water heater “before it burst” (I had the water heater professionally installed about three years prior, the plumbing does not need to be replaced). Of course before leaving he did not repair the drywall cut out from the living room.

Home Advisor found a professional service provider. The service professional was reasonably priced, dependable and friendly. I would definitely recommend Home Advisor to others as a free and easy way to find a service professional for any of your home repairs.

The technician was very courteous and finished the part of the job he could do. It appears that my problem wasn't the dishwasher, it is electrical... He recommended I call an electrician. I will address this issue as soon as possible.

After hour's call when I discovered AC wasn't working properly. Had a call from business within minutes and scheduled repair the following morning first thing. He showed up on time and knew exactly what to do when he set foot on my property.

A customer of HomeAdvisor created a profile with an incorrect phone number - my phone number, and created a request for roofing suppliers to contact them. I have so far received countless calls from suppliers starting at 7 am today (this is the second time in 6 months this has happened). When I contacted HomeAdvisor customer service to request they remove the phone number or contact the customer to request they correct the details in their profile, I was conveniently hung up on by Adam. When I called back and again spoke with Adam he was hesitant to do anything, then condescendingly told me not to answer unknown caller numbers. As I have my own business that doesn't work for me.

We had two Skylights that were leaking and starting to cause interior damage. Best Choice Construction Estimated the work of replacing the shingles and taking out the two skylights and boarding them up. Making the interior ceiling look same as the existing and all at an affordable price.

They were very helpful for helping me understand what may be the problem, what options we have, and the pros and cons of each option. I have learned a lot through the process, which enabled me to make an informed decision on whom should be hired to do the job. I am very happy with the speed and the quality of the roof repairing project. I will definitely consult Home Advisor whenever I need to have work done around the house.

We had been trying to get a contractor to do our kitchen cabinet project for 5 months without any success. Everybody was busy doing Hurricane Harvey repairs. Lowe's sent their contractor who gave us an estimate 3 times higher than the job should cost. HomeAdvisor put us in contact immediately with 3 good contractors. They were all very responsive and gave us reasonable estimates.

Hauling of trash and larger items from outside. Then I asked if he could stay and do yard work. He was available and worked very hard. Clean out of flower beds, digging holes for new bushes, pulling weeds, reworking of soil hauling bags of soil, reworking of pavers around flower beds. Very polite and professional.

Water heater stopped heating. Jeff responded to my request for service people before I actually called anyone. He came over that evening, examined to water heater, and gave us several options that were available and let us choose how we wanted to proceed. Came the next morning with a new water heater, removed the old one and took it away with him, and installed a new one by noon, less than 24 hours after I first contacted HomeAdvisor.

I contacted HomeAdvisor because I need gutters and found somebody (Rainaway Gutters Chagrin Falls, Ohio) that took advantage of me because I'm disabled. They don't stand behind their work or the professionals. I've complained a lot of times. He came out and said nothing is wrong, but you can see my gutter guards are at an angle. You can see them from my neighbor’s house. I will never use HomeAdvisor again.

Rep called to cancel my appointment with Junk Doctor hours before the service (booked it a week in advance) said he couldn't get a hold of anyone from junk doctor or me, that was the first call I got, junk doctor never got a call either. Junk Doctor told me he has had several conversations with HomeAdvisor about this issue, guess you don't value the business you represent. Called home advisor back about the guy rudely cancelled my appointment and lied to me. The girl on the phone was about as helpful as a wall. No one wanted to help! Will never use or recommend this site to anyone.

Although I had somewhat positive luck with the professional I hired through HomeAdvisor, you should still be careful with who you hire in regards to them being fully licensed. I was told that a contractor I used to build a retaining wall was licensed and this was not the case. The screening process leaves me a bit uncomfortable but it's a risk you have to take at times. Just be on your guard, listen and ask a lot of questions.

The guys did an excellent job. I had overgrown yard and needed multiple free growing ligustrums cut down. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend them. Very professional guys. They were very fast and as I said earlier did a great job on my front & back yards.

Bathroom sinks and toilet draining problem. Called TCR Rooter & Plumbing on a Sunday and was able to get an appointment scheduled for early Monday morning. The person performing the work was professional, skilled and efficient. We will definitely call them again when the need occurs... and recommend them to others.

I set up to have services provided for my mother to have weekly lawn care... I live in Connecticut and can't do this. They are scheduled to go weekly for 65.00 a trip. I will interested in leave and snow removal this fall and winter. I will be contact them later this year.

Schan was wonderful to work with, He made sure our home is Radon free. He arrived on time and he worked late into the afternoon to finish the job. He returned to replace the original fan with a larger more powerful fan because he felt we needed more air flow through the system.

Cleaner Solutions Power Washing was the only 1 of 3 that was quick with their visit and estimate. Class A Painting visited the site, but didn't call back for 5 days. Island Power Washing never contacted us at all... I contacted HomeAdvisor for another project and am not pleased again. Only 1 contractor has contacted us so far and I didn't like his estimate.

Easy and quick. My garage door wouldn't close on a Saturday. Because of a car accident I was in, I don't have the ability to manually operate the door. My garage door is attached to my house and full of stuff, so I had to get it fixed that day. I don't have tools or the skills to fix it. I am happy with the two instances I have hired through HomeAdvisor. Only negative is I have trouble finding what I want. I don't know if it is just me and I am not using the right words for the search engine or if it more broad spread. ie I wanted a couch moved from neighbor to me - I couldn't get any closer than local movers and then sort through those that would come to Apollo Beach for such a small job. It was much harder to locate the services I wanted than I anticipated.

Very responsive contractors. However, 2 of the 3 patio contractors were awful. One wouldn't wait until I could get downstairs and left me a handwritten quote that I could hardly read! The third guy never called me back. If he wasn't interested he should have said so. Sunset Pavers followed through immediately and were great to work with.

Plus the contractor assessed the issue carefully by inspecting all the plumbing to the sink and checking the condition of the piping as well as the traps. Long story short... excellent service. The third we refused to deal with because they would only estimate the job if they could have my wife here as well. Both of the companies (who came out on a Sunday) pointed out more problems than I had noticed and I decided to go with replacement of my 27 year old garage. As a Licensed Home Inspector, I once gave HomeAdvisor a shot at boosting my sales volume. They failed to get me any decent leads over several months, despite the fact that I was charged each time (usually once a week) they sent me leads. I later found out this was the same company under a different name I had contracted with and had similar results several years before. In my opinion, this service may work well for Contractors, but does not work well at all when looking for a Home Inspector. Experienced, honest and ethical Home Inspectors stay busy without such a service as this one! The new, inexperienced and cheap Home Inspectors use this service because they can't find work elsewhere. You get what you pay for in Home Inspectors from HomeAdvisor. Consumers beware!
