I lined up a couple of pros for my project and request estimates, I then choose the qualify person for job and price. I had some really great results with the pros from HomeAdvisor, better than picking business cards at my local hardware store bulletin.

I made the request to find an antenna installer on a Friday about 5pm and got a call back in about an hour. Set up appointment for the next Monday. Very quick turnaround. Other installers I had seen advertised were much more expensive.

The website and customer service are top notch. I found the contractor I needed with minimal effort. When that contractor did not contact me in a timely manner, the customer service rep helped me find a willing contractor. The new contractor showed up and fixed my appliance in less than an hour... I initially called HomeAdvisor over the Memorial Day weekend with a kitchen flooding problem with my sink drain. HomeAdvisor could not seem to find someone to help, so I called an outside vendor. They did not seem to fix the problem and I called HomeAdvisor this week to get someone out to fix it. They did come out on time and fixed the issue. The only concern I had was that the initial call to HomeAdvisor did not have anyone available the first time. In the end, I paid twice before the problem was fixed. The plumbing issue was an emergency because my kitchen was being flooded 4 times in 2 days.

Open a clogged kitchen sink drain. Clicked on HomeAdvisor June 1, 2018 and was given 2 results for my area. Called one - they came out and tried but a company policy prevented them from going on roof to complete job. Called 2nd HomeAdvisor recommendation and all went well dealing with a very responsive company - Grand Rooter in Miramar Florida.

Window Glass Replacement - I just filled it on HomeAdvisor site then I got the call with few minutes on the middle of the week end. I then scheduled it and it got fixed within a couple of days. It was all easy and fast.

Super easy to get quotes. HomeAdvisor had several options for us to review. Once we asked for quotes, Home Advisor suggested three companies and set up appointment options. Our choice was able to come out on the same day without extra charges.

I am new to HomeAdvisor and this was my first time using them as a referral service. I needed quick relief from my home flea outbreak and the phone rang immediately and the process from beginning to end was quick.

As a professional I would advise that HomeAdvisor is a scam. They do not provide legitimate leads and when trying to opt to cancel membership they refused. Instead they advise that they can only suspend membership for a duration of time. I only finally got them to cancel my membership after a large sum was taken out of my bank account without authorization. The HomeAdvisor group refused to compensate me and I have been forced to file a dispute.

This company was very responsive to my needs and they were very easy to work with. The communication was excellent and they showed up on time and delivered high quality work. They took into account what my needs were and listened to what I wanted and did not try to up-sell me.

A coworker told me about HomeAdvisor, so I gave it a try for a pest treatment service. Was very pleased with the responsiveness of the service professionals, and the transparency of the price quotes. HomeAdvisor hooked us up with a great painting pro for a large exterior painting project. The Painting Professionals showed up on time and stayed until the job was complete. They did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

It was easy to get contractors to respond and feel confident that they have already been screened. Being able to review feedback from others is also very helpful. I like the feature that they will automatically have the contractor's contact you so I don't have to make a bunch of calls.

My garage doors had to have the tension adjusted and I needed another opener. The doors were checked and adjusted. The repair men also showed me how to maintain the doors so they would operate smoothly with silicone spray. Both of the garage doors were also checked for any additional problems before the workmen left.

Sprinkler would loose pressure and water bill well over $150. Leak but no ground evidence. E&R knew what they were doing and located issue and fixed. Fast response, fast fix, and great service. They also do lawn care and are very good at their job. Would call them for sure with any other lawn issues.

I had 3 different projects and got names of pros for each project. The glass replacement guy was a total bummer. The floor refinisher was fair and did an ok job but communication was a disaster. The A/C guy, Jim ** was a winner. Thumbs up all the way.

Replace tricky weatherstripping on a custom outside door - I couldn't believe that we were contacted within a few hours of HomeAdvisor putting our needed job out to GNT Ventures LLC. They would have come the same day but due to a terrible Thunderstorm we suggested he come the next morning which he did and was on right on time.

Great group of guys, who just so happened to have enough of the discontinued tiles to repair the area of damage to my roof without having to replace the whole roof. Everything was handled professionally, from the time that Joe came to give me an estimate to the time the job took to complete.

Cleaning tile and sealing grout - The project was handled in an excellent way. The scope of the project was 1100 sq feet. I was thrilled with the natural products used. The house didn't have that nasty chemical smell. I was very happy with the knowledge and demeanor of the owner and employee. I have now hired them to clean a 11x17 area rug.

Very easy - I put the parameters of my tree removal in, a contractor popped up, I asked for a quote and scheduled an appointment. Contractor was straightforward, gave me a quote the same day, and did the work the next, and the price was fair (less than I expected, since tree was grown up into a powerline). Cleanup was thorough.

I am so disappointed in HomeAdvisor. I made a complaint on a contractor Mr. Grimm’s Custom Remodeling. And they were not helpful at all. I had 2,100 stolen from due to a botched job on my bathroom. There was cement mortar used on my walls not protective sealing, wrong drywall used in my shower area. I thought it would be safe due the emails and commercial I seen... Not, they don’t answer phone calls, and never respond to emails. Please do not fall for the fair claim resolution they have, you give up rights to file a lawsuit. Please beware! They get paid big money from the contractors and do not care about the customers. Just pay a real professional and don’t waste your time.

I got only two responses to my request, and I decided to go with the local service since he was local and had very good reviews. The whole process went very quickly. We were able to have our trees trimmed within 2 weeks. It was a bit pricier than we're used to paying, but it was worth it working with a real professional service.

I googled a/c repair in my area and HomeAdvisor.com came up. I clicked on it and followed the prompts, trying to get someone out tomorrow. Before I was even finished on the site I got a call from a professional telling me he could see me this afternoon. I was thrilled. He did a good job and was very nice.

They have recently (and for the past two years) denied credits to us for wrong #s provided by customers and lied to us telling us that they had spoken to the consumer! When I called the customers #s and held the phone on speaker to let them hear the fast busy tones, the rep trying to remedy the denial of credit called the wrong customer # and got a fast busy tone just like I did: Only then did he agree to attempt to TRY to reverse the charges! Also, they are very bad about giving credit for wrong task leads and usually tell me that they "have not been able to "cooperate" or verify this information" and therefore cannot give us credit for this lead. I had 3 of these wrong task leads today. The rep admitted that they were able to send out the correct contractor to one of the customers, but would not be able to give us a credit. Imagine that!

After I put in the information about the problems and when I needed a plumber to come to my home, HomeAdvisor selected a skilled person to do the job and set up the appointment with him. Dwight ** did a great job and I will call him again for future plumbing needs.

Had damage in wall from a leaking window above our garden tub. Removed the damage and patched the large hole. Work was done in a timely fashion and it looks perfect. Even gave me suggestions on how to further make it blend in to the existing wallpaper.

We were contacted right away by Design Exteriors and scheduled an appointment for the estimate. I have use HomeAdvisor a couple of times and have not been disappointed when I needed work (excavating, clearing yard of debris, move many large boulders) done. I was able to find a decent contractor. The contractor I found through HomeAdvisor was extremely professional and very accommodating. The contractor was able to get more work from one of my neighbors.

We had a leak from the ceiling in our basement. Requested a recommendation from HomeAdvisor. The response was extremely quick and I selected the top recommendation. I noted that others were also listed but had a note attached which stated the other vendors were no longer registered with HomeAdvisor. I wasn't sure how to interpret that. In general, HomeAdvisor has given me good recommendations and I have recommended them to friends.

HomeAdvisor is great! Anytime I need a job done I go to HomeAdvisor and find what I need. Mom had an electrical issue at her rental property and I was able to get someone out there ASAP. Since I live in a different state, helping my elderly mom with emergencies is no longer an issue for me.

Had my light grey, vinyl deck cleaned. It looks as bright and clean as when it was new. Workers were polite, friendly and thorough. They cleared and replaced all deck furniture. Manager onsite to confirm that all details are correct. Would definitely use them again.

It would definitely be Zero Stars if that was an option. I suspended my account in 2017. HomeAdvisor charged me a renewal fee without warning in March of 2018 and again in May 2018. They give conflicting reasons for the charges and refuse to refund over $500. I would not use nor recommend their services.

They were both nice and professional, but I decided to go with the company that charged more because they offered a better product. Eli, from Soho Blinds was courteous, patient, and did a perfect job so my shades would line up perfectly. He made an extra trip because I changed my mind about the color. I would use Home Advisor for future projects.

I got estimates from the top 3 companies and chose Ageless. They did a terrific job, professional from start to clean-up. I would highly recommend them.

I used HomeAdvisor to hire a "handyman." The person I hired, Terry ** of Vortec Renovations was to hang an exhaust fan on my kitchen window and rehang a kitchen wall cabinet, and quoted a $250 fee over the phone. On Apr. 30, 2018, he arrived and told me the exhaust fan I had would not be appropriate to be hung on my new kitchen window frame. I then asked if he would reduce the $250 fee since it was based on doing the two jobs. He said NO, and proceeded to hang the kitchen wall cabinet. He is dishonest, unethical and should not be listed on HomeAdvisor's website. His "receipt" was handwritten on a piece of loose leaf paper and listed the two jobs he was to complete and a total received of $250, with his "initials" scribbled on the bottom. Very unprofessional and certainly not the type of person I, or anyone else, should/would hire again.

Lost drivers resulting in no internet, no printer and no programs using internet. He replaced drivers and removed reason for drivers to disappear. It took him 3 days (at his location) but when he returned, the laptop was up and running like it should.

Only one of two matches for exterior painting returned my call. They got the job by calling me within one minute of me pressing submit. The appointment for estimate was set up. They showed up on time and showed they cared.

Mr. ** gave me an estimate to cut down a tree for my elderly father. I agreed with the estimate and we scheduled a time for him to cut down the tree. He started then decided he did not have the correct equipment (this should have been done at the time of the estimate). He promised to come back and cut the tree and scheduled another appointment. HE NEVER SHOWED UP!!! Would not return my calls or emails. VERY BAD BUSINESS HomeAdvisor.

Put in my information and got two calls within two hours to do the work. Hired someone who did a very good job, even came at an odd time when I needed the work done. Will consider HomeAdvisor for other work.

Evan though was Sunday they schedule for the contractor to come out within 2 hours and contractor call me right away to let me know they come on time. The contractor did a great job and they were professional and fast on finishing the job (Garage door spring replacement).

Irrigation system would not shut off in 1 zone area. The service was quick and effective. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and easy to discuss the problem and fix. They were attentive to the problem and the price was very reasonable. I will use them again for any irrigation system problems...

Landscaping/yard work - I was disappointed in that I only received one company to contact. Fortunately for me, the company responded right away and did the work within the next two days. They did a wonderful job. I found the site easy to use.

Water main line from water meter to house had a hole in it. The company replaced a 12 inch section of pipe that had the hole in it. The city had come out and identified that the leak was on the house side and was the responsibility of the owner. Since I was the owner I had to locate someone to do the repairs.

I requested asbestos testing pros in my area, HomeAdvisor provided them, and immediately connected me with a pro that I ended up hiring. They also called to follow up a few days after. I did request multiple bids and professionals but was only given one. Thankfully, that one worked out, but it was difficult to shop around.

I've used this company while I live in Calif. and they were great there. I move to the Dickinson area and was glad to know they had a branch out here. I've tried other service, but I keep coming back to HomeAdvisor. They have great Pros.

The sliding door has been in use for over twenty years (new glass installed in 1997), subject to cats, dogs, etc, and was in dire need of dismantling and cleaning. A faulty roller necessitated the removing of both doors (sliding/stationary). The door assembly is original (1985) but now functions as new... if not better.

Pocket Door in a 97 yr old house. The doors were stuck in the wall because of a broken inside the wall. We were unable to pull it out without scraping the floors. A few days later I received a call from HomeAdvisor stating that I had to reschedule, so I did without any problems. The day of my appointment comes and nobody shows up. I left an appropriate review for the company on the HomeAdvisor website. A week later I received a call from HomeAdvisor asking me something to the effect of, "How did everything go?" The gentleman I was talking with was hard to hear and after asking him to repeat himself a couple times he got frustrated and hung up on me. Needless to say I won't be using HomeAdvisor anymore.

HomeAdvisor is a scam. They provide contractors with leads, the leads are received by HomeAdvisors, the send the leads to several contractors at the same time, they charge all the contractors for the same lead. When we call the client and the client changed his mind or hired someone else, we contact HomeAdvisor to issue a credit, the position of Home Advisor, they provided the lead and the amount is due. That is plain wrong!

Great experience. Will use HomeAdvisor for any future needs. They gave me a choice of vendors and I was able to review them and had the information to make an informed choice. The background checks are very helpful and important.

I can't believe how easy this works. I scheduled a couple of appointments through HomeAdvisor. Home Advisor followed up with reminders and even with confirming that the company reps showed up. I don't think that it couldn't have been any easier or worked out any better. Bravo!

We have not used their service since January 1, 2018. They also use your name to generate business for themselves (Even after you account is closed), this has been nothing but a headache that cost you out the **! Installed a new antenna rotor. Would have taken less time if they read the directions first. We only watch over-the-air TV, so we need a antenna rotor. We already had an aerial and a mast, so they only needed to replace the failed rotor.

I was planning on purchasing my tile from Lowe's and having them install it. I had actually ordered tile and paid for the install, when I accidentally found tile I liked so much better. However, since the tile was not coming from Lowe's I needed to find my own installer. I was hesitant to use HomeAdvisor at first, but the contractor they led me to did a FANTASTIC job. I will be looking to Home Advisor again for future jobs.

I will agree with many of the reviews that I’ve read here from other professionals stating that the leads received from HomeAdvisor seem to be made up. Most of the leads are unreachable. Oftentimes the name on the person's voicemail doesn’t match the name on the lead. There have been several times during our membership where people have never heard of HomeAdvisor also. When I called to ask why they denied giving me credit for these leads I was rudely told that she is sorry that I am unhappy with the customer’s response to my calls and hung up. I contacted "Rick" (R & C Roofing) to set an appointment to estimate the replace/replacement of my older wood deck and we scheduled a 3:00 pm appointment. When he did not arrive or call at 3:45 pm, I called him and he noted he was running late. I cancelled the appointment. I recognize that contractors cannot always be on time for scheduled appointments and may sometimes be a few minutes late; but reputable contractors will call to note that they are running later rather than ignoring the fact. If this is how this contractor would treat a "potential" customer I was not willing to have him perform any work at my home.

What they claimed pre-screen, pre-proved is big factor to assure us to hire a contractor whom they recommend. Unfortunately it is total deceived. I hired a contractor through HomeAdvisor's recommendation, paid $800 deposit for the job, then the contractor disappeared. I contacted HomeAdvisor a couple of times. Finally I was told that HomeAdvisor is just a advertising company, they were sorry I didn't have a good experience with the contractor they recommended, but HomeAdvisor has nothing to do with what happened and I have to deal with loss myself.

We were contacted by a very aggressive and unprofessional salesman, who talked us into taking on their services. Shortly after accepting we contacted them to cancel but continued to be charged on our credit card. Today we received a call from a collection agency as we had American Express reverse the charges on our bill. We contacted the company to explain the situation to them but they were unreasonable and would not cancel the collection process even though we cancelled their service.

The HomeAdvisor set up is a pretty good scam on contractors. They are supposed to vet the leads they send out to a contractor and charge for. There is no vetting whatsoever. The price points they charge you are ridiculous also. 80 dollar leads for non vetted calls is dumb. 20 dollar charges for one hour jobs is dumb. I turned off the lead generation so they couldn't pump my credit card full of charges and was having clients do reviews and they sent me a voicemail telling me they aren't doing any advertising for me because I have nothing creating leads for them. Although they have my yearly fee.

I always find satisfaction with HomeAdvisor about its services. Its referrals/contractors are dependable and "good performers"; that is why I keep coming back to HomeAdvisor when needed. I would strongly recommend to family and friends... wasting no time with HomeAdvisor when you want get the project done on time.
