We had the building floor repaired as the floor had cracked & broke & floor dropped 3.5" in back corners - building is 42ft X 75ft. Also had to have the sidewalk beside the house raised - as it had dropped 3.5" also. Looks good & cracks were filled on front porch approach.

HomeAdvisor provided several fully qualified moving companies. After speaking to 4 we picked one based on location to our current home for the move. All 4 companies were easy to talk with and helpful. Home Advisor provided quality companies for us to interview. Made our life easier.

Managed to get several contractors to quote the job. Made suggestions necessary to find the right contractor. Check that contractors did contact me for the job. Contacted contractors too to make sure job is taken care of. Reliable contractors quoted on job.

They have such a wide variety of services and it is easy to navigate through what you want. I like the website where you can put in what your needs are and they find the pros in your area for you. So much easier than searching the internet yourself.

Todd, stretched carpet in several rooms. Customer satisfaction was good. He was asked to clean a few spots and was not successful. He did warn me that he might not be able to remove a few spots on carpet. Overall the service was top rated.

Clogged Toilet - Quick response time - less than a 45-minute wait. Work took less than an hour to complete. Little or no clean involved by the plumber. My 3.5-foot water closet auger was not long enough to resolve the problem. Mr. Rooter's plumbing representative, Daniel, had a 6-foot professional water closet auger that took care of the clog right away. He recommended I consider purchasing a pro model from a plumbing supply house. Approximate cost would be about $80-90. I had purchased my water closet auger about 7-8 years ago at Lowe's, a good auger, just not long enough. I have not checked Lowe's lately to determine if they carry a pro model.

Home Advisor gave me three referrals for handyman services. I called the first one on the list. He was very responsive and did a great job, timely completing the jobs I had on my list. I would definitely use this handyman and Home Advisor again.

As a plumbing business owner, I have used Home Advisor for just over a year now. For the first couple of months I was using it, it worked pretty well for me. I paid for the leads that came in, and most of them were quality enough leads that I made money with them. Sometimes I would hear customers say that after giving their info to Home Advisor they were called by a lot of people. Home Advisor claims they only sell the lead info to I think 3-4 pros. I did not like hearing this, but since it was still working for me I ignored it.

I feel this is a great service. I don't always have people I can call on to do large or small jobs, and I really don't know of anyone I can trust. I'm glad this service is provided free of charge, and the companies who use this as a way to get business are professionals. This is my second time calling on HomeAdvisor, and I've always been satisfied with the service HomeAdvisor's provided. I'll recommend family and friends to use the service if they are in need of work being done around their house. Thank you.

I really loved the company that I used. I am very unhappy with Home Advisor though because I chose the option to call the businesses myself. I did not want them to call me. Home Advisor did not listen to my wishes. I started getting calls as soon as I hit enter. I would like to use Home Advisor in the future but I'm a little nervous. I do not want the companies call me. I want the option to research the company 1st.

I've had a pro/contractor account with HomeAdvisor for 3 years. I was satisfied with their service until just now. Recently, they started to charge me for leads I did not requested. The supervisor (Erik **) basically made me a liar, when I am realizing they are the thieves. I guess their best defense is the offense... I would be out of business if I treated my customers like they treated me. They are a big company and apparently can afford to lose a couple of customers. Other competitors have been calling me and trying to win my business, but I always hung up on them telling them that I was happy with HomeAdvisor.

HomeAdvisor only offered one company. I contacted Jantz. They came out immediately and I had a quote by the next day. The cost was actually less than I was expecting. I got the yard lights repaired quickly, so all is well, and I'm happy I used HomeAdvisor.

I hired them to find a moving company. The moving company was terrible. They overcharged me 1000.00 and damaged my furniture. When I tried to make a complaint to HomeAdvisor, so no one else would use this company, they said there was nothing they could do! Do not trust HomeAdvisor to find you reputable companies!

If I could give a ZERO stat rating I would however, 1 is the lowest I can go. DO NOT use HomeAdvisor. They are quick to recommend someone to you but are not there to help when you need it. The gist of it - they recommended a contract that was said was one of their best. We used them, got taken advantage of when the hurricane hit late in 2017 and now we are out thousands of dollars because of the contractor did not show up to complete the work they were prepaid to do. They took the money and ran.

My carpets are clean and fresh. I have severe allergies and when I explained this to the owner he used a solution that would not irritate my allergies. Very grateful and satisfied. He explained each step and was very polite and professional.

I've been using HomeAdvisor for the past two years and found some fairly decent contractors. Overall I've been pleased with this company. However they offer a $50 reward for every three completed projects. I've completed 7 projects and received one $50 check, but not the second. The second check was never mailed and still says "in process" from December 2017. I'm beginning feel like the reward program is not legitimate. Disappointing. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I made an appointment on Home Advisor last weekend for Honest Abe's Home Services in Jefferson City, MO. The appointment was for 2:00 pm today. Honest Abe's called on Monday to confirm the appointment, and then emailed two days ago to again confirm, this time with the note that someone would be at my house between 2 and 4 pm. Well, no one showed up, so at 3:48 I called Honest Abe's. I was told it was their policy to call to confirm 30 minutes before the appointment. They had already confirmed twice. I didn't have my phone on me and did not get their call. When they told me this I told them to forget it.

I used HomeAdvisor once and will never use them again. I do not know how they vet their partners but they do not stand behind their work. I had a company, Nu-Air, come "fix" my refrigerator. They said they fixed it, I paid them $312, it still does not work, I cannot get the company to come back out, I cannot get them to give me a refund and all HomeAdvisor did was cut them from their list of "approved" partners. I am now out the money of the "repair" and I may have to replace the appliance because the guy cut wires he should not have and no reputable company will take on the liability. Stay away from HomeAdvisor, you do not know what you are going to get.

When I travel to visit my children I like to help them make repairs. I live in Massachusetts and a daughter is in New York and a son in New Jersey. HomeAdvisor has helped me get contractors in both states. Much appreciated.

I have used their services in the past, but this is the first time I have actually hired anyone. People referred have been professional and prompt. Led me to a building contractor criminal who was indicted on Federal EPA charges and plead out, and a fencing company who doesn't believe in putting cement in the ground for the posts. Water heater problem - First time to use service. Everything went well except we didn't know a plumber was dispatched until he showed up. It turned out OK, but would have preferred knowing who was going to show up before he arrived. He was courteous and went out of his way to help us.

Home Advisor helped me locate some competent home repair people who did the work as promised and on-time. This is critical for outdoors repairs where delay can result in greater damage. When I did not respond to a recommended vendor right away, HA called me and made sure the vendor got in touch. I appreciate they care as much about my home as me.

Plumbing to fish aquarium failed and carpeting and lower level of drywall were soaked with water. Hew's came out same day and immediately extracted the water from the carpet and set up blowers and dehumidifier. Returned 2 days later and removed equipment, replaced the baseboard and even swept the carpet. Job well done.

I signed up as a General Contractor or "Pro" to receive qualified leads for new homes. The vast majority of the leads provided were unqualified and not ready, willing or able to move forward with a project. Weeding through the unqualified leads would be fine if, in fact, the cost of the lead was credited as promised - which they weren't. I attempted on many occasions to obtain credit and was refused - I asked to speak with the person's supervisor, but no one was ever available and was told it may be 5 to 7 days before someone called back - which never happened. When you turn off your leads through their system, you have a button to request a contact from the company - no one ever responded. They only respond when you stop paying for the leads. As a service provider, this may be a decent program, but as a builder, it is completely useless and a terrible waste of time and money.

Lee and his partner were on time and did a very thorough job cleaning our air ducts. We noticed a difference immediately. They made sure we had the opportunity to inspect all of the vents. We will use Lee and Too Fresh Air Quality in the future.

Buying a home can be intimidating. HomeAdvisor eased our worries and made us feel comfortable while making financial decisions. It became fun to manage multiple projects and being linked up with great pros in my area so quickly. I recommend it to all my friends who are embarking on the homeownership path. Moving to a new area it is always hard to find what you need. However, Home Advisor takes the guesswork out of it and gives you a list of referrals which is always a great place to start with any project.

As a reputable organization that must deliver a great customer experience, HomeAdvisor does not to its vendors. As a highly rated vendor on this and other platforms, their customer service is beyond unacceptable. A small sample size, I was told a refund would be completed. I called back and was told that it would not and explanation why. When asked who was a person of authority that I can write or speak to, I was told they are not authorized to give out such information. So a vendor who pays thousands of dollars a year to have service is not allowed to be given information on who could we contact, or was told one thing that was then reversed with no explanation. I will ensure all my business contacts in the service industry stay far away from this platform and organization.

I used to be a HomeAdvisor contractor and always recieved leads that went nowhere. Did you know that HomeAdvisor charges numerous contractors for every lead that's sent out. So if you do not want to do any work immediately do not fill out the questionnaire for work when asked. Just recently I started receiving texts and phone calls from contractors wanting to fix my air conditioner. I did not sign up for quotes and wouldn't have gone through HomeAdvisor if I did any work done. Either HomeAdvisor or one of their advertiser generated a false account under my name so they could falsely charge their contractors for the lead info. If you are a contractor thinking about joining HomeAdvisor STOP Don't do it.

I had four plumbing projects; snake drain, reset toilet, fix leaking bathroom sink, fix broken drain. HomeAdvisor told me someone would call on Monday to give me an estimate but Rooter-Man called on Saturday, came out said they could do the work then only snaked the drain and said they'd have to make another trip for parts, which would cost me again. Very unhappy it cost me $286 for 30 minutes of work and only got 1 of 4 things fixed.

I was looking to get recommendations and reviews. This site and process was confusing. Then when I got to the information, the phone calls started to schedule the work, but I had not chosen a vendor. Concerning when the estimates came in with the highest double the lowest. But the service is as advertised. One contact and get the work scheduled based upon reviews, etc.

Paul was punctual, friendly, efficient. I would definitely use them again should we need another fix for an appliance. I especially liked how Paul adjusted the rate to the service call fee only since he did not have to "dig into" the oven. Only had to use the breaker to fix the issue.

HomeAdvisor did a good job finding me a concrete contractor, however the contractor, while doing a good job, never paid his supplier and now I'm stuck hiring an attorney to resolve a lien on my property. My fault in trusting the contractor and not demanding a lien release at time of payment.

HomeAdvisor has helped me find great reliable companies. I am now waiting on a contractor to repair my door frame. I used a pest control service already. If the contractor works out then I will use them to help find someone to remodel my master bath and then my kitchen.

I was connected to my contractor, Clearview Window Washing, almost immediately and set up an appointment within two days. I hadn't had my roof and gutters cleaned in at least a year and the recent heavy rain showed me that it needed doing. The work was done quickly and professionally and Jeff did a proper cleanup afterwards. Terrific service!

I appreciated the prompt responses from contractors to the requests I submitted for quotes. I also found the reviews and vetting provided by previous customers very helpful. I eventually hired Clean Tech Carpet Cleaning and was very satisfied with the work that was done and the service provided.

They did a great job. The team that came to cut the trees called when they were going to be late. They got right to work when they arrived. The team that came to remove the cut wood and replace our fence did not come the following day as I was told but 8 days later. They also did a great job cleaning up. Our only problem was scheduling the work.

Found out sump pump stopped working at 9:00. Used HomeAdvisor to find plumber. Found a reliable and professional company. Plumbing company was on time and professional. Promptly arrived at 11:00 as promised and replace sump pump and installed a battery back-up sump pump. It was more than we expected to spend. Didn't have time to price so not sure if the price is good or not. Just wanted the problem taken care of. All was done within a few hours. One less thing to worry about.

HomeAdvisor has been instrumental in finding us the two services we needed. Both services were excellent. Showed up on time, and completed the work professionally. We will keep HA in mind for all future needs of this type. Definitely recommend Home Advisor.

HomeAdvisor sends us leads but few of them are valid leads. 90% are people that did not realize they were going to be contacted by us. While it is regrettable that the person(s) did not want our assistance, the worst experience the frustration with HA that they will not issue credit for the bogus lead. We actually have people yell at us that they did not know HA's "...was going to seek a bunch of contractors..." on them, but HA refuses to issue credit. What's more when you try to stop or "pause" activity they limit you to 14 days, unless you get special assistance. While the mechanics of HA's system are very good, the fact is they charge for useless leads, require you to go through a frustrating call center to request credit, then refuse credits "...because there's no guarantee that every lead will generate business".

HomeAdvisor recommended 3 companies close to home and all three had previous reviews which were very helpful. Absolute Plumbing did the job and they were excellent in all aspects. If I need any plumbing work in the future I will definitely contact them. I will also use Home Advisor in the future when I need some carpentry work.

Great experience. Received response from business within 12 hours of request. Work was completed within 24 hours. Only one company was suggested, so I was not able to compare costs. Nonetheless I am completely satisfied with the work done especially the speed at which my job was completed.

After reading about each company, you know more about the companies. They list several companies to call so you will never just have one company to choose from.

Siding was old, damaged by weather events, needed to be repaired on the chimney and below a replaced window. The window was replaced by another company who disavowed having any connection with the problem. This company did a great job.

I am a general contractor who was looking for referrals for work in the Seattle area. Upon signing up with HomeAdvisor I was told (on phone) that I would only be charged for referrals that I responded to. Weeks later I discovered when looking at my account that there were a myriad of charges for referrals that I hadn't responded to. I called HomeAdvisor to correct this. They informed me that there were certain kinds of referrals that would automatically be billed to me no matter if I responded to them or not. I responded that this is not what was represented to me and at that time closed my account. I blocked my credit card to make sure that no further charges were made against it. Since then they have continued to send me referrals, left the account open and adding more charges. I am in the process of dealing with the Colorado AG and Better Business Bureau in this matter. In short, if you are a contractor, BEWARE!

I have had good luck with the pros that we were connected with. We received quotes quickly for the work and hired a few that we received here. Have had some that didnt call back or didnt do work after the quote.

My first year was a great experience. After the second annual membership payment things have not been good in the slightest way. Since June, when I renewed my membership I have not had a signed job. Whenever I have turned my leads on I get bad leads, incorrect info, competitor inquires, but never work. I have called into HomeAdvisor only to have more negative experiences. Their reps are very rude and inconsiderate. There are better ways to make a more equal fair system to receive work for both consumers, customers and contractors alike.

Power washed deck, driveway, sidewalk, porch and gutters, and cleaned up with no problems. Don was on time and did everything that was in the contract. Don called before he scheduled arrival time, to make sure the customer was at home.

We had a large tree damage a large portion of our chain link fence. Home Advisor gave us names of 4 companies with one recommended. I called 3. Only the recommended guy replied. He came within a day or two, wrote a fair estimate and scheduled the work. Home Advisor followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work.

I'm glad used Home Advisor. I used their website to book an appt. late one night. I received an email with the company's phone number. Called them as soon as they opened and was given an appt. in the same afternoon. Less than an hour later, Home Advisor called to set up an appt. If I had called a regular plumber in the area I probably would still be waiting for a return phone call. The work has a two year warranty.

Received a list of contractors and invites for the tile project. Then got a phone call from Home Advisor about any other work and we had drywall as well. They did not give a list but setup appointments for 4 contractors without my knowledge which I ended up having to cancel. I was happy till the phone call.

It has worked well. I recommend using Home advisor when you need work done and you're not sure who you can rely on to do the job. I also advise checking the companies Home Advisor suggests to see how others have rated these companies.

Water in Basement. Home Advisor work well and I will use again in the future. Quality of service providers that I worked with exceeded expectations. People that responded were prompt and courteous and were well versed in their areas of expertise. I will use Home Advisor again when the need arises.

Called 3 companies, read reviews, selected one to repair previous plumbing issue. Company I selected arrived within hours and evaluated issue quickly. Company explained why the issued existed and different solutions and the cost of each solution. Once solution was selected, plumbing company repaired issue in short order - issue is fixed!

Security Camera system replacement. Home Advisor gave us several choices for this project. We narrowed our list based upon their experience and ratings. We contacted the top 3 on the list. Several of them came back to us with some questions before they gave us bids. We were very happy with the results.

Vent cleaning - I put in the service I needed. Got one pro immediately. He called within minutes of my submission. I would have liked a few pros to respond via email with quotes so that I could compare prices, but Sean was fabulous, so I am glad I went with Home Advisor.

I knew from our phone conversation he would do a good job, and I wasn't disappointed. And he charged an extremely reasonable price.

As for a business owners if you dont mind paying for leads that people who are just shopping for prices and just wanting estimate for a project, this gets very expensive. I've tried the site for a week and canceled. That was the best choice. You're force into receiving leads that you may not want. The cost is ridiculous, then when you cancel they still charge your credit card. I was told by the pushy salesman the lead were between $6-$13 which I was lied to about, I have the call recorded. They have a bad business model. The next call is to my attorney.

Ruptured lawn irrigation line was punctured by another Unlicensed Trade. I will not be using unlicensed repair trades anytime soon. This Tradesman answered immediately, showed up the next day then repaired the line and installed a new time clock. The works was done professionally and completed timely.

Services gives you reviews to assess which repairman to select. They sometime also include estimated price per job, but often the service says they will give estimates for free. Those that give an hourly rate for services best since I can judge the time required for the project under normal conditions and have a good idea of what the repair service will cost.

Danny was an excellent contractor who was punctual and fixed the main problem (broken handle on sliding patio door) plus another minor problem (door knob fell off on another door) at no extra charge. A bit disappointed he wasn't able to fix the screen door latch because the part he ordered didn't fit. Am going to have to order it myself from Amazon (he gave me the part number), but have doubts whether I'll able to actually install it myself. Was impressed he had the skill to find the exact replacement part for the broken handle and charged a very reasonable amount considering he had to make 2 trips and order parts.

This is just a suggestion. The AC company was good in all respects except they were located 45 miles away. Due to traffic, it took them a long time to arrive for the installation. A company located closer to my home if available might have been better time wise.

Garage Door Repair - I have used Home Adviser a few times now and I have not been disappointed. It is comforting to know that Home Advisor has done the homework on the contractor to make sure they are qualified, have the required insurance and that reviews are from real customers. Makes the job of selecting a contractor very easy.

Waste Removal Company - I received calls the next day after submitting my request to remove junk. The company that we hired to do the job was thorough and did excellent work for us. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again when we need work done at our house.

I did not have any area knowledge of available quality businesses to contact so I went to HomeAdvisor. I had a list of 4 businesses within a very short period of time. I selected and contacted two. I received quick responses from both. Selected one and my problem was quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

I gave Western Exterminator some info online in HomeAdvisor and they gave me a call within in less than an hour. They had Matt in the area who could come by in about 25 min and assess the situation, and if I wanted, he could take care of it at the same time. Matt and trainee Jasper arrived in 20-25 minutes. Friendly and professional, went over options. We went ahead and Matt suited up and took care of it. That was yesterday afternoon. A few yellowjackets are still on the ground dying but none are flying and they should all be dead in another 24 hrs. I'm satisfied.

Spray foam insulation - Home Advisor brought up 3 contractors quickly. The first one I called phoned me in less than 15 minutes, they were interested in my project. The crew was there on time, did very good work, the crew was very pleasant, as I had several questions.

Was in need Interior sanding, priming and painting as well as outside stoop repair with a little carpentry work. Company was fast, efficient, professional and courteous. Arrived on time and completed services on time! I would highly recommend this company. Very fair price as well.

They connected me by phone with a company that was going to call be back the next morning to set up a time for an estimate. Never heard back from the company. I called another company on my own, got a quote within a day and hired them within a day. This is the second time I have used HomeAdvisor. The first time was not much better. That was to replace a roof. Same results. I will never use them again.

I live out of town and was able to speak to the plumbing company regarding her problem to schedule an appt. It's not a typical job but, I was assured they would help to fix problem. They were very prompt to call me and set up appt quickly. I am very satisfied that I could pick from a recommended group rather than a random number out of the phone book.

Relying on HomeAdvisor was the worst thing we ever did. We were scammed and ripped off by one of their "highly rated" contractors Empire City Outdoor Living in NY. Owner Maria ** and her husband Alex ** stole $11,000 for a job never to have ever been started. After hiring and then not hearing from Alex or Maria a simple Google check led us to countless similar horrific accounts with the recommended builder. How they remained top rated on HomeAdvisor's website is a mystery. Live and learn. We would never trust HomeAdvisor for another referral ever again.

Search for Water Well Repair. I was very surprised at how quickly I got a reply from a pro once I filled out the information on HomeAdvisor. The one thing I would prefer is that there be an option not to discuss the cost of the repair (not just click, I don't know) in the survey provided by HomeAdvisor after the work was done.

Vendor took down 2 large trees that were dying and dangerous and cleaned out a large flower bed. They also trimmed several other trees and after the job was completed they mulched everything they could and hauled all the debris away. They were very courteous and professional. We have a B&B and do laundry all day long. Having the laundry room shut down is terribly any day of the week. We developed and total obstruction in the dryer duct work and had to have help right away. Unfortunately, the duct came apart underneath the house in a hard to reach crawl space. Even though they had to work hard to diagnose the problem and make the dryer safe to use, since they could not totally repair the break, they only charged me the minimum amount. $89. More than worth it. Excellent customer service, no grumbling about it being a Sunday.

The first one I contacted came to the residence, provided me the cost for this job, and the following morning his worker showed up to start the job, but the owner, Ortiz Heras, did not show and had someone phone me to tell me he wanted to charge me more than the $550 cash price he quoted me the day before. I was departing for my home of record out of state in 2 days and it was the weekend.

HomeAdvisor for over a year has called our business and personal cellphones soliciting us to join their predatory vendor program. We have asked to be removed from all call lists as we will not do business with them EVER. Their sale/customer service team cusses on the phone, refuses to introduce themselves upon answering the phone and beat around the bush when asked for a supervisor. This company should be shut down for violating solicitation laws and consumer/FCC violations related to cellphone solicitation! Avoid this company like the plague!

Didn't know anyone in the area who did carpet cleaning. It was great to have HomeAdvisor recommend some carpet cleaning places. Bravo. Carpet Cleaning called me soon after and they did a great job. Not much else to say but "thank you"!

As soon as I filled out the info online - the phone started ringing. I was ready for the project and the service person was ready to complete the project so it worked out great. I would recommend HomeAdvisor to anyone looking to complete a project.
