They repaired 6 rusted wrought iron posts (14 yrs old) and sealed the bottom of the entire rear yard fence with 6" wide steel sheet along the bottom to keep rabbits from entering and eating my plants and chewing my rubber water lines (yes, I'm serious). They did this more than once, causing water to shoot straight up.

This company's services are really poor. ZERO quality control. As a contractor that relies on Home Advisor for leads, I watch them squeeze THOUSANDS of dollars out of our accounts every month. We provide painting services and we spend more on your "leads" than on paint! Something seems wrong with that. Home Advisor has monopolized the market, and what was once a great service, is now nothing more than a necessary evil, a means to an end. We're keeping an eye out on the class action case against Home Advisor.

I have used HomeAdvisor to recommend professionals for several projects -- painting, lawn care, power washing, cleaning services, foundation repair, etc. The professionals recommended have been great about giving free estimates and the professionals chosen to do the job have done a great job at a great price. Thank you.

HomeAdvisor had all the categories I needed and the referrals were excellent. I shall definitely use this as my source for future work. Shower enclosure, lift repair. Excellent communication and instant responses. Will happily refer both these companies and hire again.

Repair deck remove and replace deck posts and beams. Stucco posts and paint all repairs surfaces. Upgrade deck post bases and hold downs. Add bolts to deck ledger and tension bolts. Install new post flashings to prevent water damage forever.

Royal and his crew were really terrific. On time, efficient, careful and made sure everything was in its place including some rearranging. As furniture came in, I handed them sliders for the feet and they were patient with me and put them on everything as I requested. One snag which was front office, not the crew, was that some of my belongings were in storage (typical storage unit layout) which I told the front office multiple times. They sent a 26' truck which could not maneuver in the storage facility. Royal took care of it and came back the next day with a smaller truck for the items in storage. However, that cost me an extra day and an additional $980 (estimated). I recommend them just make sure that the front office really understands your move requirements so that they send the appropriate crew and equipment.

My co-worker has used HomeAdvisor before for other repairs and she never had any complains so I decided to use them as well for kitchen sink repair. Great choice, they found a company super fast with great service. I will use them again for sure!

Service provided by Home Advisor has been very useful. The referrals I have used have been great. I will definitely used them in the future. Living in another city and caring for my mother who lives in this building, it is nice to have a resource to call on for projects.

As a business owner the cost of HomeAdvisor is NOT positive! Every "lead email" whether it is something you're interested in or not is being charged to your business account. My experience has been Home Advisor has charged me inappropriately with leads, and have marked leads as if I had responded to prospective clients as though I were interested. I have a number of complaints with their "customer service" AND "paused leads" and they still sent me email leads which they charged me for. Finally I sent both an email and called Customer Service to discontinue ALL leads AND Close my account. It took me five days to get anyone to respond. They still owe me money they deducted from my business account without providing one positive customer lead. Beware business owner for what you're signing up for! NOT good.

I was impressed with the quick response to my inquiry in trying to find an experienced repairman who could do a wide variety of tasks. HomeAdvisor is a wonderful resource and I will certainly use them again if needed.

I have contracted several pros for different jobs (plumbing, carpet cleaning, awning, sprinklers, etc.) They have all been punctual, reasonably priced, professional and pleasant. I will continue to use Home Advisor for all my repair and install needs. The confidence of having references verified is reassuring.

So I paid 350$ to join them as a pro roofer and immediately got 2 leads which costed over $160$. NEITHER customer even so much as acknowledged the countless phone calls, texts, and emails I sent to them. ALSO- one request was for a SLATE roof from an address where the property would more than likely be less expensive than the SLATE roof cost. Also they denied given me a refund on my initiation fee because they claimed I didn’t do it within 72 hours. But you can’t request a refund on the leads until you’ve tried to reach the customers a number of days in a row which pushed me past the refund period.

Very happy with Green Valley Carpet Cleaner referred to me through HomeAdvisor. He was professional, trustworthy, and flexible. David did a great job. I would have him back and will refer to my friends. I will use homeadvisor again to look for contractors in the future. This was my first time.

HomeAdvisor listed many professional plumbers that could accomplish our project (Water Heater Replacement). We had excellent results with the first plumber contacted and at a reasonable price. The cost of the project was far less than had been estimated by "chain" hardware stores and was very efficiently accomplished.

Broken spring - Good customer service, was on time, finish fast, showed me his work and what he did. I was all around please. He also called me soon as I put request 2-3 min tops. He scheduled me the same day was about 30 min out got here on time or maybe a little sooner which was fine with me.

Jake was fantastic, went the extra mile, was there on time, worked quickly and championed to get a replacement unit same day and installed. Was really impressed with his friendly demeanor and taking ownership of the issue to get it fixed same day. Also no pushy sales tactics for additional services or hardware.

I had the bottom weather strip on my garage door replaced. The serviceman also adjusted the garage door and automatic door opener. I no longer see any daylight under the garage door. However until it rains, I will not be able to see how effective the repair was.

Tree Trimming and HVAC Service - Companies HomeAdvisor recommended contacted me right away. Satisfied overall with my experience. I recommend HA for finding good companies to perform specific jobs. Convenient way to find reliable service providers; I will use HA again for sure. Hope this helps others that need the service.

HomeAdvisor is great to reach out for any home projects or a small job. Will definitely recommend to everyone. One thing they could improve upon is to offer contractor options with "less than ** mile" range. I have used HomeAdvisor couple of times now with no issues.

Started out ok. Told me I needed 5 gal. of paint for 2 areas. Did not use even 2 gallons. Was told they would replace furnace registers with new ones but just spray painted my old vents. These people are not honest. Did a half way job. I'M sorry I will never use HomeAdvisor again. Made a hole in my carpet the size of a quarter. Never cleaned paint off rug or fireplace bricks. Beware of these people.

I own a professional IT services company in Santa Rosa California. I was contacted by a salesperson from HomeAdvisor and was told that he had several companies in my area that were in need of service. He said that he would give me these leads once I had signed up for the service. I did sign up for the service and in 30 days I received two leads that were more than a hundred miles out of my area. I received a bill from HomeAdvisor for these leads even though I had denied them due to distance.

Used HomeAdvisor to find a glass company that offered a replacement service. They found me one and they we great. They called me a few minutes later and asked what I needed and they came right over. The other glass companies were booked and this one came right over.

My Venice, Fl. condo tested high for radon gas (22.1). I went to HomeAdvisor to find a radon mitigator. They listed 5 companies. 2 of the listed companies said there is no radon in Florida, the other 3 did nothing connected to radon gas. I could probably list myself as a radon mitigator and no one know that I was a retiree.

I was having a difficult time hiring a residential electrician, and when the visiting sister stumbled upon a HomeAdvisor website, not really know what to expect as a first time user, to my surprise, a month long problem got fixed in 1 hr. Definitely, will recommend to a friend who is looking to have his house rewiring due to a house fire.

Shutter repair - We were told about this service and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with results. We were very happy with the company, Oasis Shutters, that they recommended. Communication was excellent. We were able to choose our date and what was convenient for us.

Customer service rep was very helpful and courteous. Tree service we decided upon did an excellent job. Another good experience using HomeAdvisor to locate a pre-screened and well-reviewed service provider. We have used Home Advisor to find providers for power washing services, brick sealing, plumbing services, and gutter installation among other things and have been happy with the quality of the providers to whom we have been referred. We will definitely continue to use Home Advisor in the future.

I hired a contractor from HomeAdvisor to repair my fence. The contractor ended up being an unlicensed, convicted criminal that was on probation. He stole my deposit and never performed any work. He used a fraudulent name and it took nine months to find him. Once law enforcement found him, we found out that he was working under several company names on HomeAdvisor committing fraud in 3 different cities. HomeAdvisor is NOT a trusted source. They do not check for proper licensing or background checks. Their ads are misleading and they are enabling and facilitating criminals on their site.

Yard clean up - I had a positive experience with Home Advisor. I was contacted by a professional in a timely manner. My advisor was professional and courteous. I would contact Home Advisor again if I ever need a home project. I also would recommend Home Advisor to family and friends.

Very large stump and many roots coming out of the ground. It took less than two hrs to remove. The price was very good. The clean up was very good, no mess was left. Would recommend him to anyone. It's a no-brainer.

I scheduled an appointment with an excellent plumber. The plumber promptly responded to my emergency. The work was completed at a good price. I will only use HomeAdvisor for future home repairs and remodeling.

This company treats the clients very well, but not the business professionals who utilize their services. They have taken about $800 from our business account that they had no business with, and refuse to refund it. We have lied to and hung up on by management and are considering legal action. Please consider using another avenue such as Angie's List.

This company was professional, timely and efficient. They kept the premises clean and presentable at all times. The men were well-mannered and pleasant to be with. I would definitely hire them again for another project and recommend those that ask who power washed and painted our house.

When I contacted HomeAdvisor for the first time, I wasn't aware of how their system worked. I didn't know that every company contacted had to pay a fee even if they were not chosen and that fee was passed on to the customer. So I was paying more for services than I normally would. Granted, I am paying for their experts in their fields but I would choose an alternate route next time. The company is run well and they are helpful and friendly to work with but I don't like their policies.

Some communication issues early on, and not sure how they came about. After connecting with vendor I ultimately chose to use, I got repeated calls from him, as it appeared that my ticket was still open. I assume I had something to do with that but couldn’t say for sure. All turned out right in the end.

Technician installed recessed lighting in my kitchen. He also installed new switches so that we could dim the lights. He did make several trips to the local Home Depot to purchase additional materials to complete the work. He arrived on time and completed the work within the time frame he said he would have it done. He cleaned up well after completing the work and said if we experience any problems to contact him. He left us a copy of the receipt and his business card.

Somehow, the phone number that the contractor received from HomeAdvisor was quite different from my phone number. Thus, when the contractor tried to call me, he could not reach me. It would be better if HomeAdvisor did not act as the intermediary in setting up jobs. Give us your recommendations and let us contact the contractors directly to avoid these delays and confusions.

MG Flooring was certainly 5 stars! Highly recommended. Mr. ** was very professional, knew his trade very well, as well as, how to use and mix stain colors. The job was very clean, left the room perfectly and the rest of the home was not at all affected by the sanding.

In this case they offered recommendations for replacement windows and skylights. We have used HomeAdvisor for locating home repair and/or installation projects and always appreciated a rated guide to professional service.

We got referrals through Angie's List/HomeAdvisor of contractors to do a bathroom addition. The contractor we hired had 4+ star ratings and reviews on HomeAdvisor. Well into the project, which was problematic because of multiple workmanship defects, we learned that the company had dissolved 4 months prior to contracting with us and, therefore, their license was invalid. The contractor never disclosed this fact to us. We also learned that the crew working on our project were unlicensed and that there was no licensed professional supervising them. When I tried to post a review on HomeAdvisor, with the hope that others would not be victim to this scam, HomeAdvisor would not post my review because their policy is not to post any reviews that refer to illegal activity. I would not trust HomeAdvisor's screening of contractors, or the ratings and reviews posted.

We are very pleased with the fast reply to hire someone. We had a company resurface our pool and they did not tell us what do after pool was finished. Gary fixed the problem today and that will be ongoing until he finishes with it. Very impressed using Home Advisor and we were able to hire right on the spot and will have him for our pool maintenance person.

HomeAdvisor is a pretty worthless resource for consumers - except maybe to read what others say about project professionals they have used. And you can find those in lots of other places too. The "matching" is rather poor. They totally dropped one of my projects from my account, which caused me to fall short of the $50 reward. When I raised the concern, they said they stopped the reward program.

Furnace repair - HomeAdvisor led me to a great HVAC company! The tech we had from Living Comfort was great. HomeAdvisor was simple to use and I received a reply from Living Comfort HVAC very quickly. I like having the email option of receiving an email response.

I would have wholeheartedly told everyone who owns a business and needs leads to use HomeAdvisor two years ago. But, unfortunately, they have lost what matters most and care more about making money than they do in actually giving good leads. Out of the last 100 leads, I have received I called 100% of them and 90% of them within the first 3 minutes of getting the lead. I only won a handful of jobs, but when I won a job other companies who were bitter to losing gave the client a bid that was unreasonable so I would then lose the job due to not wanting to take a job for such an unreasonable amount or would have to take the job and make almost nothing on it. Then there are the other leads... No one would answer after multiple phone calls, emails, messages on HomeAdvisor, etc. So I would reach out to HomeAdvisor and let them know it was a bad lead -- they would respond, "Tough luck."

I needed a new roof for my home and HomeAdvisor recommended 2 local roofing contractors. One called me the 1st day and we set an appointment. He did not show up so I called him that afternoon and he said he was up on a roof and meant to call me but forgot. He said he would call back after he finished up on the roof. He never called back. Needless to say I didn't call him either. The 2nd contractor never called at all. A friend recommended a roofer and he did a great job for me. Too bad HomeAdvisor didn't.

As a professional I must say my experience with HomeAdvisor has not been very pleasant. The most frustrating part is that the leads on my account were supposed to be turned off, then I had to contact HomeAdvisor multiple times to credit my account for bogus leads. "Bogus" I mean leads for services not in my area or for services I do not provide. I was charged just because they decided to send a so called lead just because someone is surfing the web and ask a question about a service. It does not appear these leads are screened. The charge for the lead is completely at their discretion no matter if the lead get the professional services or not.

Twice in the last week the company has called claiming that they are returning a phone call from "the business owner." As I am the one who would make such a call, I know that this is untrue. They couldn't tell me anything about the alleged message, just that they "got the number" off the message. Couldn't even say if it was a male or a female. I don't trust this company and will not have my company affiliated with people who lie.

After putting in my request for a pro to replace grout & recaulk a bathroom shower, it was only a short time later I got a response from Groutsmith. My husband & I trust the companies you refer & that's a great relief. That's why we've used numerous pros you list. Also, like the follow-up calls you make to ensure that we've been contacted & that our reviews are from us.

Replace toilet - He did a great professional job!!! He was prompt, neat, and clean and picked up everything and disposed of the old one. Came back right away after going for parts. I would definitely recommend him to neighbors and friends alike. He also gave us good advice.

Plumbing work was especially excellent; leak repair included replacement of valve for irrigation supply line. Old PVC piping dogleg replaced with elegant plumbing solution that minimizes piping exposed to elements.

Have used H.A. for roof repair, siding, fencing and tree service lately. Have used them before in another state for extensive remodeling of an older house. Fair estimates on all. Completely happy and will continue to use HA and will recommend.

Easier than going through the yellow pages or asking a friend of a friend without previous experience, to recommend for a project of this size. I got 2 referrals: Senor Fix It and Sears. A Sears rep came out and pretty much acted like it wasn't what he wanted to do. Don't know if he was the actual guy going to do the work, but he was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Frank, Senor Fix It, was much more friendly and listened to what I wanted done.

Home HVAC - Heat and fan was inop. Found due to improper periodic maintenance we were overheating the furnace causing it to shut itself down. I went on HomeAdvisor and completed the request online. Within 60 seconds I had a call from a qualified business ready to send a tech to my location.

I was expecting to just have air ducts cleaned and sanitized, but when they started cleaning, they found mold on some of the vents. I had to have Milicide sprayed thru the system after the cleaning to kill mold, a soot sealer, and then a fogging sprayed thru the system to kill all spores in the house.

I usually have a difficult time finding companies willing to do small jobs, but April's Gardens took the time to come and see the job, gave me an estimate. Once I decided to hire them, they follow through with the dates we had decided to do and complete the work. Nothing better than working with serious professionals that know how to complete good quality work within the time initially promised.

I was very pleased with the work Danilo and his partner did. My back gutters were very dirty, needed a flush job, which they did along with flushing the downspouts. They also put up leaf guards I bought, so that made me happy. They were pleasant and professional, I’m very happy I chose Danilo.

Would definitely recommend them! Impact Inspections did a great job inspecting the property we were buying. They arrived early, were very thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, neat. My husband is in construction so he knows what they should be looking for and he was very happy with the job. At the end the inspector reviewed what he had found verbally and then we were emailed a written report with clear color photos before the end of the day. Great job.

I have found Home Advisor to be a great source for recommending companies or individuals for estimates of projects I need to be done. They also follow up to get feedback on work done. I have used them for Plumbing, Roofing and leaders and gutters repair or replacement.

I have used Home Advisor for many different projects and have been pleased with the service and quick response from the contractors. I plan on continuing my relationship with Home Advisor. I also like the follow-up calls after I pick a contractor and finalize the job.

After inquiring about having a tree topped in our front yard that’s been dying off with branches falling with every wind gust and in danger of hitting our cats and house we were put into contact with a local professional with a very fair price who completed the job with one other individual in just about an hour less than a week after my initial inquiry about the job! I’m very pleased and will likely use Home Advisor in the future for other needs.

Had a confirmed appointment with one of the cleaning services through HomeAdvisor, and was canceled two times in the course of one week. Spent more than two hours in total on the phone with HomeAdvisor trying to reschedule a "Screened and verified" cleaning service but again, the allocated cleaning service cannot be reached. I would not trust the reliability of the services provided through HomeAdvisor. If you want a hassle-free cleaning schedule service, do reconsider. Customer Service of HomeAdvisor is a disappointment.

Very Good Source. They help me find what I was looking for. I used to hate my place and now I feel very happy with the decoration by using the quote "Less is More". HomeAdvisor was a big help. My ideas are now in real life.

I had an issue with trying to get an estimate from a contractor I found through HomeAdvisor. The contractor met with me, but failed to give me the written estimate as promised. Due to this, I wrote a review and submitted it to HomeAdvisor, so that other site users would be aware of how this contractor could behave with them. HomeAdvisor told me that they would share my feedback with the contractor but not the public since no money changed hands, and if they did post my review they would just have to take it down if the contractor said he didn’t agree with it. Then they said I could just post my review elsewhere if I felt like it.

Even though I canceled the project prior and I alerted HomeAdvisor of this. A HomeAdvisor Person 'Alex' called me (Always says they are on a recorded line) and says he has more sources who could help me. I said, "If you must ONLY just send me a list and I will follow up," He lied and said, "Of course." Sure wish I could locate this recorded conversation and point out that he did the opposite of what I requested him to do.

Did a great repair job, answered all questions. Very happy with the job they did. They were on time, as scheduled. They used quality repair materials and they were very experienced in the type of repair that my shingle roof needed.

I have been a contractor and used HomeAdvisor since it was previously named ServiceMagic. I have so many stories I could tell but I can't share them all here for sheer lack of time. The business model of this company basically charges small businesses for "leads" that are usually bogus leads where people don't answer the phone, people don't really want the service or some who don't even know they submitted information and "somehow" they clicked around the internet and ended up being bombarded by phone calls and emails by contractors vying for their business. They use misleading advertising practices by saying "free" when in actuality it is only free for the homeowner-- but the contractors are ALL paying for one person's information, which is not even guaranteed to be a legitimate lead.

I had a very good experience with Home Advisor. They were quick to respond and recommended a great husband and wife team. I will be using this team for future projects. If I need something this team cannot do, I will contact Home Advisor again.

Removing underground and installing above the ground oil tank - HomeAdvisor found for us very good Company which was able to complete works on high professional level. The price of works weren't cheap but all works were done fast and accurate. I can highly recommend to ask HomeAdvisor when you need to find best specialists.

Replaced the old valve to the dishwasher and connected the dishwasher intake hose. Not much else was done. He had the parts that were needed and fixed the issue. He showed up when he said he would and all was good.

Fence - All went well, would use HomeAdvisor if needed for other projects. We did try to find a plumber but HomeAdvisor did not find one in our area. Did find a electrician but was never able to give a start date for us. We never heard back from him to find out what he could do to help us.

They will send only top gun professional with good rating. I'm in the process of remodeling and I will be using HomeAdvisor for all work and contractors that they have. I'm also going to suggest to my boss to use HomeAdvisor for her business.

I've tried HomeAdvisor a few times - and each time they have failed. They don't pay attention to the details of the project (fixing me up with someone who did something entirely different), or the company doesn't really come to my neighborhood - and once, no one even contacted me. I feel bad for the contractors who PAY for HomeAdvisor to recommend them. I've told them that they are being ripped off - we consumers just waste our time.

Needed my lawn mowed and my riding mower’s blade engagement cable broke. Looked up pros on Home Advisor and Evergreen Landscaping was first and only one out of 5 who contacted me. Agreed to come next day (Sunday even!) and brought his equipment if I would approve his quote. He did an excellent job!

I was looking for a home inspector and went to HomeAdvisor. I entered our home address and indicated the service I wanted (home inspection). HomeAdvisor then produced a list of 3 home inspection companies in the area. Next to each company was a button to 'Request a Quote' and at the bottom of the list was a button to 'Request a Quote from All'.

These guys were really great. I called them out near the end of the day, and they still came out to do the evaluation after 6 pm on a Friday. They were ready to schedule the work for the next day, but I had to put them off until the following Monday. The work crew were very courteous and efficient, and they totally cleaned up afterwards. Good choice on my part for looking at Home Advisor to find a contractor.

Although HomeAdvisor only sent me one A/C company in my area, I was happy with them. They had to come out one extra time because the system was frozen and covered everywhere with ice so I had to wait for it to thaw to diagnose the problems. It was time to replace all rather than spend a lot of money to patch an old unit and hope for the best. This was my decision to make and no pressure was presented to just replace the units.

If you are a contractor steer far away from this company. The leads that we paid for were supplied to multiple other contractors. On top of being bogus and overpriced leads to begin with. After realizing this we cancelled our account in March of 2018. We chalked it up as a learning experience and just a loss of funds. Fast forward to now.

Whenever I require a service technician to come to my home I always turn to HomeAdvisor first to look at top service professionals in my area. I have been in this house for 4 years and have used HomeAdvisor at least seven times.

All they do is rip you off, you can't talk to a person when you get a lead and you can only leave a message and no one gets back to you and then you are charged. I paid over 1000.00 in just about a month for nothing. My money would have been better spent advertising. When you turn off leads they'll send them to you anyway and just keep charging you and you have to call every time and tell them you turned them off. They are just salespeople taking advantage of contractors.

Very unfair, they send the same lead to 10's of professionals and they CHARGE ALL even if you don't read the lead. Customers are immediately bombarded with so many calls, they are on the defensive. You pay $347 subscription for a year, if you cancel after a couple of months you get ZERO back. This is the biggest rip off under the sun.

He did a good job rebuilding my enclosed patio the right way. 10 H x 12 D x 28 W with 10 glass windows and 2 steel/glass doors. So now I don't have to worry about water damaging the 2x4 framing anymore. He build the whole thing up with cement and used treated wood and put a walkway going around the outside area of the patio. I secured two bids. Selected a company from among the three identified by Home Advisor. I chose the company whose approach to the tree removal seemed best. Their price was competitive. There were delays due to rainy weather, but once the ground was drier the work was scheduled and completed satisfactorily.

We had a very good experience with HomeAdvisor. We wanted to cut down a flowering pear tree in our backyard because of the number of them that have fallen in our neighborhood. I need an installer to replace two toilets we had purchased at Lowe's. When our original installer didn't show, I logged onto Home Advisor, described the job, and got a call from an installer within two minutes. He did the the next day. The work was meticulous. We used Home Advisor once before to find a contractor willing to renovate and rehab a single bedroom. We were very satisfied with that job, too.

Home Adviser asks many personal questions. Name, phone number, email, address etc. Was not comfortable with it at all and I wonder what they are doing with it. Privacy was a big concern and in hindsight, I should not have given all of it.

Been with HA about a year. Have reduced the amount they can automatically charge to the minimum. They seem to have purposely vague service categories so when a homeowner chooses a service that falls within a broad range you get charged a lead fee whether you provide the service or not. We have tried endlessly to get credit for "lead" fees for services we do not or CANNOT provide due to licensing. They deny them all. Hundreds of dollars.

Carpet cleaning referral - Quick and easy. Saniclean did a very nice job. Quick and it smelled fresh and clean when done. All heavy traffic areas were bright and clean. Quick response time and appointment set up quickly and everything was done within 2 days time. Courteous business owner and worker courteous as well.

Moving into new house, we had many boxes and some furniture to be removed. We had no idea how much this might cost, and were pleasantly surprised with the price. I had been postponing construction of a new deck to replace one damaged by a falling tree in 2012 for 6 years. Part of the reason for the delay involved other damage which occurred when the massive oak hit the deck and roof of the house. The roof was replaced in 2012. We have slowly done most of the interior repairs ourselves. Through HomeAdvisor, I found a great deck building contractor, who also fixed the wheelchair ramp, so we can now wheel harps and other unwieldy musical instruments in an out of the house.

I have used HomeAdvisor a few times and have been very happy with the contractors I have hired - it’s a good service for the consumer. On the flip side it’s not so great for the contractors themselves. A friend of mine got charged 115.00 for “bathroom remodel” lead but the customer only wanted a new vanity installed. Home Advisor didn’t bother to read past the title. I don’t think people who use this service are aware of how it works.

I have used HomeAdvisor twice now. Once for lawn sprinkler system, second on chimney cleaning/seal. Both times, quick, accurate, extremely polite and professional companies came to my home. Communication has been great, and I look forward to using HomeAdvisor again!

One phone call but the guy who called was fabulous. He came in under budget and did lots of extra work. It was a pleasure to find him and it was nice to discover that his company provides a lot of the cleaning that we have been looking for in the past year. We will hire them again.

I have used HomeAdvisor before to help contact service companies to do various projects around the house. I greatly appreciate being able to read reviews, get information on pricing, and other aspects of a project. My only complaint is that I can't do that without registering for a project and having my information sent out before I'm really ready.
