An old wood double garage door was removed and disposed of and an insulated double door installed. The garage door opener was connected. It was all handled in a very professional way, timely and at the convenience of my tenant. The price was very fair and the quality of the door seems quite good.

Wrought Iron Fence Repair - The professional they sent my request to contacted me quickly. He came out and did the work the same day. I was very pleased with the work he did and would hire or recommend him again.

He mowed the front & back and did some minor leaf clean-up for the price we agreed upon. He also gave me a quote for 2019 fall clean-up of $100.00 which I did not find at all unreasonable given the work involved + he has to haul the leaves to a compost site for disposal.

I have a motorized cabinet where the television goes up and down. It can be challenging to get the wires connected within the cabinet. To make matters more complicated, the old TV had a wider surround and they were inventive and creative with making the new and smaller surrounded TV fit into the cabinet.

Power Washing the entire house - Received calls immediately! This is the second time I've used this service and I am very happy! They call immediately and text. I will use them again. They have an extensive list of service providers so there is no reason not to get a particular job done in a timely manner.

On or about Oct 1 or 2, 2018 I made an online request (to HomeAdvisor) for a contractor for possible roof repair. HomeAdvisor sent me info for: 570 roofing contractor, a. Vincent **. Mr. ** came out to access the situation. When he arrived, he gave me his card and introduced himself as a contractor from HomeAdvisor. He then proceeded to the roof of my home to determine the cause of the leak coming into my bedroom. Mr. **, upon completing his inspection, informed me that I needed a new roof. He showed me a video he had taken on his phone. It showed that when he picked up the tile from my roof, it would completely crumble in his hands.

I'm just not the trusting type. I rely on HomeAdvisor to guide me in finding service related items. So far everyone that I have hired from the HomeAdvisor recommendations have been wonderful. Most have charged reasonable rates. They have done the work neatly and correct in a timely manner.

When HomeAdvisor service dialed out to pro's they were sometimes confused and did not have my information. That would be my only complaint as I had to reexplain the project and one instance the addressed number got mixed up causing issues.

How does Home Advisor have 4.5 stars??? I have no idea how HomeAdvisor has such a high rating here... I am a Pro that's been with them since 2015 for basement finishing. Their prices have gone up to $126.41 for each lead I get. When I get a bogus lead which is a regular thing like recently a woman wanted a new roof but accidentally listed her request under basement remodel and I was told that doesn't fall into the realm of a refund under their policy... When you ask to speak to a Supervisor you are sent into voicemail that says you will get a callback in two business days, but nobody EVER calls back... I have no idea how they have such a high rating here, but I would guess someone is being given payola...

HomeAdvisor is a nice place to start when hiring professionals. We did have one of their recommendations not show up for their appointment. The next company was fantastic. I like the reviews. I will use this service again. I also used them for a roof recommendation and was very pleased with that company.

While we were away on vacation, our cat sitter told us our water had turned orange. We have lived in this house for 28 years and while we knew we had acidic water (5.9 or 6) it had never turned orange before! (This happened after we had had 10 inches of rain in one week!) So I went on HomeAdvisor and was contacted by 2 different companies. We went with the second one whose price was less than half of the first company.

Replace entire plumbing with PEX in my manufactured home, and replaced three faucets. Professional and fast. Excellent results. They arrived on time, were friendly and introduced themselves individually, got right to work, worked diligently, and finished a day early which reduced the charges.

Within minutes I was contacted by a plumber in my area who told me he could have someone out to my house in about 2 hours. Refinish bathtub. When I hadn't hired anyone within a week or so they checked to see whether I would like a new person to check with me as they had another one. The person who called advised me about their policy of promotions which was very helpful and took the anxiety out of hiring just anyone. They were helpful and efficient. We suffered at the hands of a service pro that stole our deposit for painting and kitchen tile work. When HomeAdvisor was contacted and advised of my research for the licensing of this scam artist, they said we are NOT responsible, we did our research. I advised of the name of the company on the DSPR Florida licensing as "Something" (this is not a joke). This company was contracted in September for work under a different name. Both HomeAdvisor and the BBB failed to circumvent this vendor and we have suffered the consequences because of their lack of advertised service to the customer.

We were looking for someone to clean the mold from the gutters. We picked one of the three recommendations you sent and they told us the roof was moldy too and that cleaning it would prolong it's life, as the mold/lichen eats away the tar. So we did it and are very happy with our clean house.

We had a very rare frozen gas fireplace valve in living room wall. The Plumber figured out a way to add another valve inside the fireplace itself to bypass the frozen one and avoid having to tear out part of a wall and the entire fireplace.

I received a call from this company to ask "Are you doing any landscaping". It was unclear to me if it was a cold call selling me services or if they were trying to acquire more contractors. I do have an ad on Craigslist about gardening services. After a couple of questions where I was trying to find out where the person was trying to call me, he said "You know what? I don't need to deal with someone like you, have a great day" and hung up the phone. Incredibly unprofessional, I would never work with a company who conducts business in that fashion.

When we specifically asked for a task, we received leads that were not what we had requested. We were still charged for them and had to jump through hoops to get the refunds. When told we would receive a credit, they would not honor it and still charged us for it, refusing to give us credit. Example: leads for service when we only do installations on new systems.

You can get as many quotes for a job you want. I usually go for three to four quotes then read what people say that hired them. I have always found great contractors that do good work for a fair price. Very happy with HomeAdvisor.

I found a great cleaning service provider on Home Advisor! Personal Touch Cleaners are fabulous! My back has been out for 3 months, so I have not been able to do much in the way of keeping my house tidy. They took my really filthy house and made it shine.

As part of selling our house, the buyers requested that we install some exterior and interior GFCI receptacles as a condition of the sale. Our garage door was not staying closed. It would touch the ground and return back in the up position. We suspected the seal and the settings were compromised. In addition, it was shaking from side to side and noisy. Rose Door Solutions was able to replace the seal, replace missing bolts, and "service" the cable, etc with grease. It is working much better and the 30 day guarantee helps to insure it will continue to work.

So your algorithm sucks in searching as the projects I list only show some pros and not all in my area. When I called I was given the pass the buck statement and I quote "well some of our members turn off notifications or requests so they don't pull up". How about you re write your algo so it pulls up all members/pros whether they have it turned on or not and the send message would just come back as pro schedule is full if they have turned off say a job acceptance cue. I have tried 7 projects on this site and only have hired 2 pros. At this point I only use your site as a yellow page and I DO inform my friends and family members there are better sites.

Our water softener was not working properly so we called Symons and learned that we could improve the system greatly (which we already knew) and he installed a new system (which we had priced with another company) for a much lower price. He took away the old softener and he and his partner were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves.

They painted my bedroom, great room, kitchen and foyer. They also painted my kitchen cabinets. They did a wonderful job. The kitchen cabinet they took the doors off and the hardware and then painted the base and sprayed the doors in the garage. I’m a small pest control company trying to grow my business. I joined HomeAdvisor with the reality that I wouldn’t win every lead that came in, but man I didn’t realize how bad it would be. First they charge you a membership fee then charge anywhere from $17 to $40 each for a lead. Most leads are sent out to three or four companies who have to compete for the customers.

Dishwasher repairs - The repair was done on a proper amount of time and a fare price. The technician was great with us at home. Including the fact, that he had to deal with my severe autistic son. He was very friendly and was able to establish a rapport, with him and made feel good, while he was at home, doing the repairs. My son talked a lot to him and he was able to talked to him back, which nature made my son feel comfortable with him at home, while he did the repair. He explained everything I needed and why. It was a great experience for us, in a long, long time. Thank You very much.

Install kitchen ceiling light fixture with dimmer. I experienced excellent service with Forge Mountain Electric, prompt initial response, great job on installation, courteous, professional, performed in reasonable time frame. I would definitely recommend them. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project. I would hire them again in the future.

I called them on an ad for a plumber on Craigslist and I thought I called a normal independent plumber company. I asked for a quote, they said all quotes are emailed and that they needed a callback number. Then they sent me to a plumber who gave me a quote which was too high. So I hired my normal plumber. Then I started getting swarmed with calls and emails at all times of the morning. I had to call them and have my "job" cancelled. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell information without my permission like this but I don't have the time. If anyone decides to do a class action lawsuit, let me know. You'll have at least 1 supporter and witness.

I hadn't used this service before but had seen the commercials. What a great idea! It gets a good technician to your home almost immediately, or did in my case. This saves floundering around trying to find someone to work on your home, especially if you're new to a geographic area. I love it!

Pro Whistle Clean Power Washing did excellent work. Would use HomeAdvisor again. Had more than one pro called and were happy with the pro we chose. Whistle Clean was thorough and did a great job and would use them again.

Needed a 450 lb toolbox/workbench moved from it’s back to an upright position after we installed the wheels. The Home Advisor pro responded quickly and had the job completed within less than 24 hours of my request. Great service... great communication!

My only issue with your company is that you don't stand behind your customer. I had a company from on your site I hired steal from me and not complete the job. You would not even allow me a negative review to warn others. Makes me very gun shy on suggesting you since you don't hold high standards for your contractors. In my opinion that pool guy should not be allowed to advertise on your site but I know you don't care. You just care that you get your payment.

Got an immediate response and he came out to give an estimate for the projects I wanted done. He also recommended a wireless doorbell so I would not have to rewire everything. He came out the following week on my day off and completed the projects in about 4 hours. Everything was done and cleaned up. I will have him back to do more projects as I will need another bathroom fan put in upstairs and more light fixtures when I remodel both upstairs bathrooms.

They are thieves. I signed up with them on 9/21 and as of today I have been charged 1077.51 for leads that I did not use or agree to pay for. When I called to inquire about this I was basically told we are sorry someone lied to you but there is nothing we can do. I asked them to pull the call where the sales rep lied to me and was told those recorded calls are only used for training??? Please they know they are liars and that they probably don't record any calls because their employees are trained to lie to the consumer. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I just don't understand with all the complaints how they are still a legit company. They should be permanently closed!

Stay away. At first my experience with HA was satisfactory, nothing to write home about. Unfortunately that changed very quickly. After only a few days I've lost over $400 for leads that came in when I had leads off, people that weren't looking for work, or individuals that never returned calls, emails, and text messages. The customer service is awful and nobody within the company is interested in fixing the issues. The only positive experience was that I did manage to sell a few small repairs so I'm almost breaking even, at least I noticed quickly enough to avoid losing thousands as many others have.

Selection of projects was too limiting. I needed an electrician to come inspect the house as the lights have been flickering. This is not an upgrade, remodel, or other major event. A selection of minor work, other would be helpful. The site allows for comments/description, but it was not apparent that it was read or taken into consideration... and it should be.

During H/Michael, a tree was blown down across my driveway. HomeAdvisor found a reliable contractor who responded to my needs during the storm. Green Cross and HomeAdvisor really came through. The tree was removed, clean up completed all while remnants of the Hurricane were occurring. Thank you very much.

HomeAdvisor tells you that you will pay per lead. This doesn’t mean only those who turn into customers. You pay for leads that are requesting services you do not provide. This is viewed by HomeAdvisor as your problem because you are responsible to provide on their website all of the services you provide and do not provide. The problem with that is you could write a book of what services you do not provide but few customers are going to take the time to read it. Also If the lead has gone to another company in the few seconds before you get back to them they consider that a legitimate lead and you are charged for that.

Patched an area on the roof which had shingles broken from limb damage. Also cleaned eves of leaves. Also found an area that need some repair on my pergola which they repaired. They cleaned off leaves that had been in eves forever.

Work was completed quickly and as requested. Looks fantastic. I would definitely use the service and the contractor again. The price was as expected and being able to pick and choose was easy. I was remote for the whole project and they answered every question I had with refinishing the floors.

I have used HomeAdvisor since 2005 for both my home, my mother's home and two rentals. I always go to HA for all my vendor needs from AC to roofing to painting. I have only had one experience that was unpleasant; that is a good track record for anyone. I am very satisfied with the service.

They refuse to refund the money I spent on several leads that were not in my stated geographical area and did not pertain to my stated business. This figure adds up to almost $200. Beware of this company if you are a small business. I've been forced to put my contract on hold as I cannot afford to continue to pay for bogus/bad leads. Here's my new frustration with them: IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE THEY STATED SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME AND I'VE GOTTEN NO CALL. HomeAdvisor - when are you going to call me to discuss why you refuse to refund my money on bogus bad and totally wrong leads you sent me????

I was very happy with the great job that I saw Tristan do all around my property. He knew exactly what he was doing and took an interest in making sure that he would get my property under control giving me the results I am looking for. I signed up for service every 3 months and found that the price they charge is very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. It's comforting to know that I have a service that will also come if I have any problems in between my service dates at no charge! I like this company and was treated very kindly and with respect on the phone and I liked the professional work that Tristan did when he came the very next day! 5 Stars!!

This service succeeded in helping me find a quality professional that complete the job above my expectations. My only complaint, that in all fairness could have been my misunderstanding, is when I was filling out the web form, I specifically selected NOT to provide me with quotes and only to show the businesses. It was my understanding that it was to allow me to reach out to the businesses without my phone blowing up, but they all called me anyway, even after the job was done a day later.

Kitchen sink was clogged. I have used HomeAdvisor in the past and heard from Aqua Pro within minutes. Aqua Pro used a snake to clear pipes. Owner was friendly, prompt, courteous, efficient and reasonable. I have already recommended him to neighbors and friends.

I has initially ordered a 50 gallon tank and needed a 75 gallon tank. Fixing a basement leak. At first they thought it was inside job. They scheduled it for a Wednesday. But when they removed the drywall they determined it was an outside waterproofing job. So they pulled the permit, called miss dig and were able to schedule it for the following Monday. They showed up on time and completed the job in one day. They cleaned up and advised me on how to proceed to put everything back together. There was a waiting period for the area to settle before replacing the concrete. So they covered the area where they removed concrete so we had access to use our back door. I was impressed how honest and knowledgeable they were and would hire them again; but I won't need to because they fixed the problem.

I have tried to use Home Advisor twice now in the last few days. I scheduled a gutter cleaning with one of their contractors, was called twice by the contractor to change the appointment, then was notified by Home Advisor that the appointment had been canceled. I left a message with the contractor and never heard back. At the same time I scheduled another appointment for a different project which was estimated at $500. I gave the contractor all of the information and agreed to the consultation charge believing the cost was within my budget. When the contractor arrived I showed him the scope of work and he gave me an estimate of $3000.00 to change out 9 outdoor light fixtures. Are you crazy? When I told him that's not what I had been estimated he said he was really sorry but I still had to pay the $75.00 consultation fee. I called Home Advisor to let them know what happened and was put on hold for over 25 minutes. Never got any help. Thank you.

Lies about the Fees. Was told fees were between $5 and $15. Cheapest fees I get was $27 and up to $78. The customers love when I charge them the HomeAdvisor Fee.

Had a sump pump that was never properly installed in the southern most corner of the home we bought so when it rained the water wouldn't properly go away from the foundation. New well was installed and a perimeter drain was installed and cemented over as well as a new pvc pipe that was the proper diameter and after these last few weeks of hard rain it helped.

Tile cleaned with oil leakage from brand new washer was cleaned. They had to do it 3-times and it came out the best he could get it done. Metro was super, nice men, only took about one hour, and I even received a thank you note in the mail days later thanking me for hiring this company.

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an online company. They send me jobs that I don’t even do or am licensed to do, most of the job leads I get the client isn’t even a client. They’re another company testing the out the system. When I finally get ahold of someone in HomeAdvisor after explaining everything to them and request credit for all the invalid job leads which had added up to $1500 a week and I’m told and I Quote (HomeAdvisor is not responsible for an invalid lead a client might fill out and if another contractor wants to test the system that they have that choice to do so. We cannot refund the credits to your account because we are still running a form of Advertising for your company.) End Quote.

I paid HomeAdvisor $350 for a 1 year membership & I will NEVER renew my membership again! I'm currently researching how to report them for fraud (I'll explain in just a moment) as well as to the Better Business Bureau. I've been with HomeAdvisor since March. I have not booked not one single job through this company! So here it is, I have paid a minimum of $17 per lead, upwards of $40. Whether I call or NOT, I am charged. EVERY call I have made, 'they' whomever I called, stated they already booked with someone else, mind you I would call within 10 minutes of a lead arriving to my email or phone. (I believe these are FALSE leads just so I have to pay for them)

I used HomeAdvisor to find a glass/window repair company. I filled out the form and received an email from HomeAdvisor that someone would contact me. I didn't hear from anyone so I called the company referenced in the HomeAdvisor email and was told they had not been notified to call me, and that another customer had said the same thing. I called HomeAdvisor to let them know I was frustrated about this and the next day, Home Advisor called me and asked how my experience was, and seemed to have no idea what had happened. Not sure what happened to the info I called and shared the previous day, or why my contact info was not passed along to the vendor, but internal communication needs to be improved.

He provided timely, outstanding service. I was nervous that I would need to replace the garage, but Jason was able to provide a cost-efficient fix instead.

Robles Painting did an extraordinary job. I will definitely contact them again if any additional painting is needed with my home. One of the other contractors was extremely out of line in pricing, and though other contractor from whom I requested a quote was annoying after I had informed them that they were not chosen for the joy.
