We were very happy with experience. We received a list of professionals quickly. One was excellent in reaching out to us. The others we had to pursue for quotes. Very happy with professional that we chose. Overall, would recommend Home Advisor.

Carpet cleaning. We were very pleased with our quick response and VERY pleased with the company recommended to us. They did a great job on our carpets - they look new. I like that it did not take a long time to dry. We will use this company again for sure!!

Remodeled basement. Excellent experience and would highly recommend them. Could not be happier with the work that was done on this project and would hire them again to do any further projects. The owner and his workers kept us updated as to what was going to be done and that was very much appreciated. Great job guys!!!

I was very pleased with the recommendations I received from Home Advisor and hired one of those they recommended. I was very satisfied with the outcome. Most of those recommended came out to give their estimates. Hired the one who came out first and turned out to be a great decision. Very happy with my experience with Home Advisor.

Toilet stop up unstop flush freely water goes down freely. Toilet flush freely hold down handle until hear hissing sound. Technician used a snake not a real snake but a snake with a handle. He put it in and twist it, pull it out and put it in again. This time all is well.

Hard workers and did a great job. Highly recommend. They arrived on time and worked very hard. Good value. We took many quotes and they proved that they were the best for the job. We are very pleased with their work.

While some experiences have been good, others have been a nightmare. This is fair and accurate. I have learned that I must be wary of the companies that are listed on this service as they are not all vetted and reputable. I will continue to use the service because of the convenience of having a number of services to choose from, but I now know that I too, must investigate the services offered and the people who are being forwarded to me.

I have done a number of projects using Home Advisor. It is quick and easy to use. The list of contractors has always been a great source to choose from. If your looking for a contractor for work you need done, this is a very good source. Will use them again.

I've found a handful of great pro's for multiple home projects. I don't know how much vetting goes into the process for Home Advisor but I have not been disappointed with any of the pro's that I have hired. Joe

Beware of this service. I used them to find service pros to give me a FREE QUOTE. They came out and charged for the 'free quote'. There was nothing on the site about a fee and they basically told me, with a lot of attitude, that it was MY fault that I didn't ask the right question regarding the FREE QUOTE. Unbelievable. I will NEVER use this service again. For those looking to use them anyway, ASK BEFORE these service providers come out for a 'FREE QUOTE'. This is a fraudulent service.

I requested help finding someone to install a privacy fence and that same afternoon had several calls and appointments set up. Great response. I would definitely recommend Home Advisor to any and all that ask who needs work done to their home. Thanks.

I needed some bathroom sink expertise... called RotoRooter and other locally adverstised businesses... no replies. Went to Home Advisor... had three possible resources within an hour; had a supplier VISIT to give an estimate same day; scheduled and completed in two days. Very well done. Happy with HA.

I should have gone to HomeAdvisor right from the start - nonetheless, they made it extremely easy to find a local company and that company made it extremely easy to cross this project off the list. Next time I'll start my project with HomeAdvisor. Thanks again!

Finding house cleaner. The two services recommended were both responsive. We went with Lone Star maids because they were willing to come out on a Saturday and give us an estimate and able to star the next Monday. I appreciate having Home Advisor to use as we are new to El Paso and did not know where to turn - especially when someone is in your home for the service! Thanks HA!

I had never used Home Advisor before but we needed someone to pressure clean our lanai, driveway and sidewalk. I had two responses immediately and we chose Depalma & Sons who were excellent. We will definitely use the company and Home Advisor in the future.

Pressure washing. This is the first time I used HomeAdvisor and will most definitely use it again. I was contacted within a very short time and had scheduled an appointment with Kyle for an estimate the next day and the next day the job was done. Within 48 hours the job was completed.

Great help at finding a professional company in your area. I have now used this service twice. A home inspector when buying a house and a roofing company. Both hired and did a great job. I like that it gives you options with reviews, especially in such a small town.

My water heater leaked and had to have it replaced. HomeAdvisor got me to a professional quickly. The work was done right at a good price. Would use HomeAdvisor for my future projects and would recommend using HomeAdvisor for your projects.

They recommended 2 services. We liked Fixd. Phone call was friendly and helpful. Can't think of anything else to say. But I have used HomeAdvisor twice and glad that I did. What else can I say, they are professional and appear to be knowledge, quick in responses. Thank you.

This service worked very well, I had replies from multiple contractors. However, another previously requested service resulted in no response from any contractors. I don't know if the fact that I wanted this done quickly, resulted in more responses. The other service was a month or two out.

Fast work, personable men who came to do the work. They came early and did the work fast. Thunder Garage & Locksmith is my recommendation. My experience with other local garage door repair services was a nightmare for me. Others locally said they would be here within a 2-hour window and 2 of them were late.

Repair of water damage. Found a small company (Little deeds) that really cares about ensuring customer gets great value. Emilio and Brad were the main service providers and they provided excellent work and are very experienced. They overcame all challenges that surfaced and offered great solutions.

Home Advisor assisted me materially in finding an excellent engineer for my project. In searching for a sump pump service provider I haven't had the same good luck and am disappointed with the small number of choices. Will have to resort to conventional means. I generally don't like providing my contact information for service providers to reach out to me. I want to be the one to initiate contact. I am looking for a quality service provider, not a bidding war.

There when needed. Home improvements projects, emergency help from inside to the your yard, they have many companies that can meet your needs. Professionals that care about the services you need and their work can be rated for satisfaction or canceled if there is a change.

Delivered and installed mulch. Customer service was great. Quick to respond with an estimate. Worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves. WOULD RECOMMEND. NICE PEOPLE. Will call again for another job. Glad I used Home Advisor and found this great company. Bragging to my friends.

Once you submit a job, it is nice that a live person calls and confirms things. But they called at 8:20 AM. Should wait until 9AM local time. Also found out that my address is available to all Service providers on Home Advisor even to the ones that I did not "Invite". I found out that other people have showed up to a homeowner's house claiming to be someone from one of the recommended companies but they are not. Which is concerning in today's culture. It did not happen to me personally but I have heard of it happening. I would like Home Advisor to fix this privacy breach.

Removed old linoleum tile and leveled the utility room floor. Cleaned up every day and hauled away the debris. My house is very old so there were many adjustments to remove and install the baseboards. Chai Floors did a Beautiful job.

Great job, quality work and reasonable price! The job was a major renovation of a storefront of the main floor and the basement with new stairs, sheetrock, a floor to ceiling wall with doors around kitchen area crown molding and new doors throughout.

It was easy to select the specific project needed; the detailed list of project options was excellent. Home Advisor helped quickly narrow the contractor search. Their list of local contractors was accurate and up to date. Will use Home Advisor again.

I love the idea that I can input my issue and I can have the Pros contact me... the ones who want the work and want my business. I had a plumbing issue and I had it repaired same day w/o emergency fees and great customer service. Also, I didn't have to call around.

August 2017 choose a roofing company from HomeAdvisor. AmTech. Been a nightmare. Said he was licensed contractor. He only has a business license anyone can get? No experience required, Man name Tony. The owner looks professional. Tells me he does everything by the book. Said he had a trained crew that worked for him many years. They would come to my home, install my metal roof in one day. Gave me a pre-formatted contract, That stated furnish and install new pipe boots. I had 5 pipes. It said all work to be done in a professional timely manner. That all debris trash would be cleaned up each day. I even had him sign a paper stating all work would be done by the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications no exception.

Don’t be fooled! How do you think they turn a profit? They are selling your information to contractors looking for referrals. How well do you think they screen their “contractors” if that is where their revenue comes from? I am a furniture builder/restorer and they have called and harassed me tirelessly through calls, texts, and emails to join their rolls and I refuse! I am assuming they found me through a social media search since that seems to be the only info they have. I have asked them nicely to take me off of their call list and I block their numbers on my cell but they continue to call. They deceptively use local numbers (like any shady telemarketer/collection agency) but have a callback number in another part of the country when leaving a message. I do well on my own through social media and word of mouth so I don’t need their service. Especially when it is this deceptive to consumers.

Would use Kingdom Construction again and highly recommend their services. Very professional, polite and efficient. I was kept abreast of the entire operation from beginning to end. This company cleared junk and debris from a resident that was being sold.

I do not personally know any contractors in this area. This is the 3rd time I have used HomeAdvisor and I will be using them again in a couple of months to find a contractor to paint my house and wash my roof.

I contacted HomeAdvisor to receive names of companies repairing balcony doors. Three vendors called immediately and I was able to schedule service 48 hours out. The representatives were professional, timely and did great work. I HIGHLY recommend HomeAdvisor to friends and family.

Electrical work. Mr. Sparky was pleasant to work with. They sent Randy out the same day. He was great. He was very professional and did great work. Thanks to them my light now works. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I will refer them and use them again.

Needed to find lawn service for aeration. I found a few good companies. I was able to compare them and find company that did a good job at good price. Home Advisor made it easy to contact each company. I would use them for other home projects.

HomeAdvisor acted in a very fraudulent manner. I am a contractor who has used the HomeAdvisor service for years. I am busy the last few so I have had my leads off. They say I’m to get an email to restart leads But this does not always come. No guarantee. They started the service with no email, told me not to worry about certain types of leads unless the customer and I agreed on a deal to perform work.

Friendly and professional. Did a nice job repairing broken concrete and crumbling steps in front of house. They were able to match the ancient bricks that were there originally (not an easy job). Cleaned up nicely when finished. Would definitely hire again.

I reviewed the ads on Home Advisor and chose Mike **. He was on time, clean, friendly, knowledgeable and did a very good job. I have used Home Advisor in the past and was very pleased with the servicemen I found.

Match-making with such MISCOMMUNICATION. I was connected to some potential help a month after I began a relationship with HomeAdvisor with much complaint. I don't like this IAC company. Typical NYC job-prostitution ring. And Golden, CO? Who exists in Golden? I am so glad I am even better than Manhattanites.

Needed someone to fix my Sloan flushmate. Another plumber told me they did touch them. I received a prompt call and the plumber was able to fix it Monday afternoon. With foot and leg issues, it was hard to go downstairs every time I need to use the toilet. Great to have my upstairs one fixed.

Ronald Ardary Construction was our first choice and we got a call immediately after signing up on HomeAdvisor and met Ron within a few days to begin our bathroom remodel project. We wanted to remodel the master bathroom and renovate another bathroom. I would definitely recommend HomeAdvisor to friends and family.

Wonderful service and very well skilled plumber did a great job. His name was Daniel and will have do additional work soon that we need. I will be referring Kentex for all plumbing work now to my friends and neighbors.

Roof repair. Showed up on time and gave a fast estimate. Promptly returned all calls/texts. Did the project in 1 day. Did an excellent job on the roof, and explained all of the work required. Did a very good job cleaning up afterwards. Highly recommended. All aspects of the job were thorough and professionally done.

Repair kitchen cabinets. It took a little while to find someone, because I listed the job and They suggested I advertise for a Handyman. Because I put the job under carpenter. When I did this I got 3 responses right away. They spoke to me prior to the job and assured me that all workers had background checks and told me what to ask for. I have used Them Before and I would use HomeAdvisor again, I trust them. They take a lot of worry out of hiring a stranger.

HomeAdvisor gave me options for the job I needed done, and the contractor recommended was excellent. The contractor contacted me immediately after my HomeAdvisor submission. The contractor was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My roof cleaning was completed within the week.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with someone trying to make a sale. First of all, I didn’t call your company. You called me. Apparently someone who had an account with you used to have our number in the past. When your sales woman called us, I quickly and politely told her that we don’t have an account with Home Advisor and that the person who used to have this number must have. She then called me a liar, and then hung up the phone. I called back thinking maybe I misheard her. When she answered I asked if she called me a liar and she said that she did. I asked to speak to her manager and then she went on to claim that she was the manager. I told her she wasn’t and again asked to speak to her manager. She then said that if we have a complaint to call and report her and then she hung up again.

Home Advisor sent me several potential plumbing leads! They were all fairly competitive! I actually went with the lowest bid and everything worked out fine! Home Advisor is a really useful service, and I would definitely use it again for future needs!

Garage door maintenance. I interviewed three contractors and without any fees for the first visit. I chose what I considered the fairest price and proceeded with the project. The Work was performed very efficiently and much faster than I anticipated. The result was I now have garage doors that function more smoothly and quietly than I hoped for. All moving parts were replaced with new superior ones and my wife will no longer have to close hers with the keyed in code. Best investment of my time in a long while.

I needed a patio put in and didn't really know where to turn, so got recommendations from Home Advisor, had three people come in with estimates and chose one, whom I was extremely happy with. Because they had a minimum of three pre-selected contractors, it was easy for me to go through the final selection process.

I was given multiple choices for the job I needed to be done. After my initial scheduled appointment, they did a follow-up call to see the progress and see if other projects were needed or problems with my current project.

Home Advisor was a great resource in finding a company for yard clean up and maintenance, allowing us to obtain quotes from several sources which had favorable reviews. We will definitely use Home Advisor as a resource in future home repair or home maintenance projects.

All American contractors. This contractor was very reliable and fair priced. Recommended him to my neighbor who also used his services. He kept us informed about his arrival and any delays that occurred. My project was small but I am sure he is just as dependable with larger projects.

Air Conditioning Repair. Gave me a list of recommended contractors to choose from. The contractor replied and I was able to get the repair done on my schedule. I didn't have to sort on my own which company served my area. That was a plus.

Home Advisor has always recommended excellent pros who do great work. My one complaint is that I clearly marked "do not call" as I wanted to review the pros myself first but as usual I immediately received a call from one of the pros. This is the only reason I sometimes avoid Home Advisor.

Most recently, we selected a tree service from HomeAdvisor's PRO listings. They provided a very reasonable cost & job proposal, and after hiring them, were extremely pleased with the work they performed. (We appreciate that they were insured and background checked, as well.) We've used HomeAdvisor to hire others for carpet cleaning & tuckpointing services, and feel very confident in referring our friends & family to contact HomeAdvisor for their own needs, too!

Remove debris from old, dismantled cross tie retaining wall. They also hauled dirt to backfill an area behind a new retaining wall. In addition to hauling the dirt, this job also included physically lifting very heavy railroad cross ties.

I highly recommend them. Great work and great people. They have very high standards and work very neat and clean. The professionalism and standards of the owners is reflected in their entire team. Call them first for your next project.

They found the pest that was making a scratching noise on the damper in my fireplace. They inspected attic for any problems. Went on roof and inspected chimney. Wire on its cap was bad, allowing anything to get in. They replaced with new wire the following day.

ASAP Garage door repairs did a wonderful job fixing our door. They were professional and came to our house faster than we thought would happen. We couldn't be happier with this company. Everything was explained before the job started; what was going to be done, how long it would take, the warranty, and the cost.

He was on time for the scheduled appointment and solved the problem of wasp infestation! I was a bit skeptical at first because the nest area was hard to get to! But I became a believer after the extermination was a complete success!

I requested Installation of home electronics such as a T.V., Xbox, etc.. The appointment was for Friday, September 20th at 8am and no one showed up. I called to find out why and was told the contractor decided not to come!! No explanation given. Upon verification of who I was I noticed they had my address incorrect. They put Street Quart East instead of Street Court East for my address!!! Who does that!!! Then they wanted to reschedule my installation for a week later on September 28th!! No refund offered for the inconvenience of missing out on income since I had to take off for this mess!! Won’t ever book with them again!!!

I have had 2 shocking experiences with Home Advisor. I tried to leave negative reviews detailing my experience. I've had no issues posting positive reviews in the past, for services I have hired through the site. They will not allow me to leave a negative review, they allow positive reviews only. Will never use their site again, knowing the review system is rigged. Their positive site reviews certainly influenced me to hire these particular contractors. This is unethical, deceptive behavior. The plumbers I hired for a $6500 job demanded payment prior to job completion, hounded me daily and refused to complete the job until full payment was made. Once payment was made, they left without completing the job. I hired them in the past for small jobs without issues and left several 5 star reviews for this company, who I realize were buttering me up for a large job.

HomeAdvisor helped me to easily choose a great contractor to remodel my kitchen and I was extremely happy with the work they did. HIGHLY recommend. The process is easy and it only takes a few minutes and people are calling you for your business.

I called a provider on their website and did not get a call back, when asked by Home Advisor I relayed the info and the next day a different provider called me back and had my project done in a few days.

Hauled off junk. The two young men that did the job were punctual, polite and very efficient. They worked very well with one another. I will refer them to others and plan on hiring them in the near future. I feel like I have a friend with HomeAdvisor. Thank you very much.

We initially contacted Chris to seal/caulk the bathroom tub and master bath frameless shower enclosure. He did a wonderful job and was very pleasant. We asked him if he could clean the grout in our bathrooms and kitchens, which he then did. They looked so good afterward. We are very happy.

I love that HomeAdvisor offers so many businesses for so many projects. They save you time because you don't have to do the searching, which is a job in itself. You read the reviews and make your decision. I'm very happy about the fact that it takes away most of the worry which comes with just trying to find someone qualified to perform a service.

Cedar siding repair. Contacted two pros from the list provided. Both came out promptly to assess the work needed. Only one got back to me to provide an estimate, but that estimate seemed fair for the work involved and I was very happy with the job that was done. I plan to have that company (At Home Improvement) do more work on other projects at my home. Overall, I'm pleased.

Home Advisor supplied fast responses to my requests for service and I have never been disappointed with their service providers. The company that fixed my a/c (Breeze Air) came out at 6 pm on a holiday weekend. The refrigerator repair company (Serviz) was early. I will continue to use them for all my home repair jobs and recommend them highly.

HomeAdvisor has a list of painters that checked out good and I selected one of them. The first one on the list could not do the project, but the second one did and the job was very good. I also used them for gutter work. That worked out ok. The gutter contractor did what I asked of him.

They have a great list of contractors that have been checked out even before they can be recommended on HomeAdvisor, which lightens some of the load for the homeowner, but I still recommend you do your homework too. I highly recommend RoofTop Williams for your roofing needs. They were very professional and reasonably priced. They also give military discounts.

My lawnmower broke down after I had done about a third of the job. I knew I couldn't get it repaired in less than a week so I posted on HomeAdvisor and got a call from one of their professionals within 30 minutes. He came to my home within an hour and finished the job while I was at soccer practice with my Grandson. You simply can't ask for better service than that. Thank you HomeAdvisor!

Recovered bar stool chairs. Assis Upholstery called back the same day and said that because I only gave him a small project to do he would come the very next day and complete the project. I never thought anyone would be so reliable, considerate and professional in business these days. I appreciate HomeAdvisor and the work they do to satisfy customers in need of all sorts of work around the home. Thank you for sending me someone I could rely on.

Painting - The process was quick and easy. It was amazing how Home Advisor directed me to the right business to choose. I have had used Home Advisor on a few occasions and always had a good experience. I would definitely use them again.

As a contractor looking to grow my business I trusted and looked in to Home Advisor, they charged me a $289.99 Introduction fee and soon after a $100.21 lead fee and a few days later another $20.40 lead fee. Giving them my credit card was a big Mistake. The leads were not relevant leads nor leads that we could do. After calling them to get the issue corrected they promised a full refund, this was months ago and up instill today NO refund. I am not sure a refund will ever happen. Please be careful with them customers call in to find a contractor, Home Advisor sells the leads sometimes to Unlicensed contractor and Under lies. They will push leads to anyone just to make a buck, in this case they sold me leads for trades we were not lic to do. But trying to get a refund is NOT going to happen.

Stump Removal. Got me in touch with someone immediately who could take care of my project. I called several companies prior to using HomeAdvisor and they could not commit without coming out to make an estimate. HomeAdvisor saved me several days of red tape processing.

Water filtration. Third time using this service, found good people every time. Very pleased with response time from the contractors. You do have to review all responders, and find the one that suits your needs best. All in all a good way to find the help you need.

I was very pleased with my experience with SpringRock Gutters. They are all so nice and accommodating. I was unable to be there when they did the estimate so Zeke came back out to go over any questions and to show me the product. He sent me a sample so I could get paint to match. After the installation, I was concerned with the length of an extension on a downspout and was told they would have someone come out and address it. Very nice group!!

Radon system not working. As in my review, Craig was very quick to respond, came and looked at the system, acquired the correctly fitting part and instilled it. He also had to do some rewiring. Then he checked inside the basement to make sure the sytsem was working properly.

Experience with Home Advisor is easy to use and does not take much of your time to find the help you need in your area for the project you need completed. Took about 10 minutes to complete the process for the project that needed attention.

Masonry work, fireplace repair. Only comment with Home Advisor is that you recommended a Gutter company also when I was looking for brick chimney repair. Other than that everything went well. Will still be using home advisor in future.

HomeAdvisor yet again is out to get another small business. Purcell Landscape Services signed up with the company. Within two weeks we had terminated the account. Home advisor kept charging the businesses account. Now we have a large bill from them. They will not claim that we called and ended the policy. Would love chat with someone who could avoid saying 1 million times "Miss I am so sorry to hear this. Let me please help you" YET YOU WOULD NOT HELP. Admit that you made mistakes Homeadvisor!!! AND don't put your sales reps in a bad position. You all should be on a team at least. To you Vice president Tom Cheatham I would love love for you to contact me! To your employees Ariel ** and Aaaron ** you are just has much at fault for this. All of you workers there are terrible. VERY UNIMPRESSED small business Owner.

AC down. Heat Pump Blower Motor Broke. I put in details via HomeAdvisor.com for the first time on the site. I selected the 2 local recommended HVAC people at 7:10 on Labor morning with this issue. Within 30 seconds I had a response and an apt. for 11:30 that morning. They came and figured out the issue (I had already narrowed down the issue to the heat pump blower), and they ordered the new motor and came back next day and replaced in less than 1 hour. For first time using this site I recommend to anyone who needs someone for any repairs.

Customer service quickly located a repair professional to troubleshoot my refrigerator. Then offered to connect me which was a nice gesture. It was the holiday weekend and many repair services were closed early on Saturday including my go-to repairman. Will use HomeAdvisor again.

Had to replace my 15+ year old gas 40-gallon power vent water heater with a new one. RooterGuy Plumbing did the work, which included venting, the tank, water flex lines, gas flex, drop pan, and expansion tank, plus haul away of original water heater.

Leak at Chimney base into home. General Masonry reviewed the site and recommended redoing the shingles and cement flashing. The flashing cement had dried out over time and the shingles needed to be replaced. They came back within a day and repaired the site of the leak.

Honest company and very efficient. Could have charged the original estimate of 149.00 but after seeing the gutters he charged less. Just be sure if you hire this company they will do a good job in a very reasonable amount of time. I give them 5 stars.

As far as finding the right contractor, I was able to quickly arrange for quotes from a couple of sources, they contacted me the same day, and I was able to get both quotes within days. The contractor I went with took pictures and then provided a written quote. That made me very comfortable with hiring him for the job.

I had my driveway torn up and a new one poured. They were quick, efficient and did a very good job. They also repaired my stone walls and reset an existing smaller wall. They also did the cuts in the driveway to separate it into 10 ft blocks. Looks great! Several neighbors have asked for his information.

As a first time user, I would have liked more of a step with confirmation of what I had entered and info about what would happen next. I needed a tree trimmer to trim a large Olive Tree in my front yard. I received a couple of estimates from tree trimming companies that my neighbors had used. I wanted another estimate from a tree trimming company. I found the Tree Monkeys thru my request on Home Advisor and they had the best price and could do it rather quickly. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

We are a roofing and solar business in SoCal and spend tons of money on these criminals. I imagine they are under so much pressure to generate revenue that they do very questionable things to downright illegal things (such as repeatedly charging for leads in spite of the leads being "paused"). Very hard to get credit for mostly horrible quality leads. They will say we only sell the lead to 3 other installers in your area, yet clients are often pissed by the time you reach them, because the phone was ringing non stop from the dozens of contractors they apparently, in reality are selling the leads to. Please don't waste your time and money on them. They want to sell a lot of leads and don't care about the quality, you want few top quality leads. A conflict of interest built into their business model.

Used online site to schedule asphalt repair on driveway. HomeAdvisor scheduled and charged account for job a week and half later. I received three emails stating project was approaching and reminder of date and time. Day came I had prepared driveway by moving vehicles, removing dirt, and cleaning surface, but no one showed up. I called about 45 minutes after appointment time and was told no pro accepted the job. I wasted much time from work and resources assured my driveway was getting repaired.

Showed up on time. Was very knowledgeable. Fixed all the problems. If you have irrigation problems, he’s your man. His company only does irrigation, has been in business 35 years. It looks like Home Advisor did their homework. Good choice. Thank you.

Tried to post a 2 star review on HA about a contractor I used, and who advertises on HA. Contractor complained and said none of my info was true. HA took down the review until they could contact me to verify info, which of course they never did. Not a surprise since it is the contractor who pays HA to be on their website, so the contractor basically controls the reviews that get posted. What a joke of a referral service! Like they say: Let the buyer beware, especially if the contractor is coming from HA.

I got scammed out of over $5k by a contractor provided by Home Advisor. I hired them 2 months ago. Conveniently the contractor is no longer with Home Advisor now. Home Advisor takes no accountability with my issue. Never ever will use them again. They do not stand behind their service providers.

HA is a good source to locate local contractors and read other customer reviews. Although, I do not like when HA Reps call me with general questions or ask what my experience was with general contractors or ask if a certain general contractor completed the work which has happened in the past.

I am very satisfied with Home Advisor and will use it again. I was able to find a responsible person to do the job I needed. I will recommend to my friends and family. I was glad to be able to find the right person for the work.

I used HomeAdvisor to find a home inspector for my daughter’s home before her warranty ran out. They sent me four pros. Out of the four, one never contacted me, and two of them badgered me incessantly until I told them to stop. I ended up hiring the pro who was very professional, very experienced, and who did exactly as I asked in my request to HomeAdvisor. HomeAdvisor should provide a way for their users to report the pros who badger their users.

We asked for proof that we were actually there, service and got money in return, the so call customer could not provided any proof and guest what ...HomeAdvisor kept the Negative feedback and argued that once someone said the they saw your phone number at the HomeAdvisor website you up for the negative reviews. In other words the so call customer don't have to prove **. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEADACHE AND STAY away FROM THE HOMEADVISOR!!!

I'm a contractor, so they charge 60 a lead, but get this, they send it out to 5 different contractors, charge them all 60$ and make them fight for that 1 client. Also customers, who do you think is paying that extra 60$. It's you.

HomeAdvisor is sending too many mails asking if the job was done. They should give you at least enough time to get to the point of interviewing the company. No contractor shows up the very next day. Other than that I was pleased with the recommendation received and did not need to contact any other contractors.

I contacted several outfits, one of them, Davis Mechanical, called me back just a few minutes later, AND scheduled an appt first thing the next day - better than I hoped. Home Advisor showed me numerous options, reviews, and Davis Mech was one of the higher rated service outfits. I have many complaints. Here is just a few: One is the inflexibility of their process where by example they exclude those with "records" by their questionable "background checks" where the question is whether the company hired does the job as I supposed Martha Stewart is not hiring out to work manually on a job site. Two it is difficult to get hold of these contractors and ascertain they abilities when they use HomeAdvisor telephone #s as a cover story and might several operations under different names. Three where the vetted contractor was contacted fell he flat on his face in that he failed a) to deliver a written estimate for part of a roof job b) failed to make a full presentation of his financial stability, insurances, and simply failed to assure me while charging a lot. Four as part of a fairly complex long term home rehab project addressed all too simply by contractors and HomeAdvisor without more when it was presented.

Repair was made to sheetrock in ceiling inside of our walk-in closet due to a small water leak from roof. There was a slight sagging of the ceiling in a straight line approximately three feet long. Job completed in approximately two hours.

Fridge Repair. Easy and quick from start to finish! Only suggestion would be to limit how many times you can be contacted for each service provider. Text and phone calls can be a little annoying. Still will be my go to moving forward with any household projects.
