Sprinkler system replaced. I received two contacts within 1 day of my request. I received the 3rd contact in about 5 days. All 3 provided bids and I was happy with that process. I was very satisfied with the company I selected and the results of the job.

Tree care. Home Advisor continues to amaze me with the best contractors. Within hours I have 3 appointments for the next few days. All contractors are reputable and have great online reviews. Indeed I have found that the companies suggested are professional, keep their appointments and perform their services better than expected. I will continue to get suggestions from this wonderful site.

Pet dog walked through the old screen. Screen was replaced with a stronger screen. Bruce inspected the damage and offered options to replace the screen. He took the frame and returned it fixed about one week later. He did a nice job.

Very happy with HomeAdvisor with finding Roofers to replace our existing roof. From the time I posted until we made a decision we had been contacted by numerous roofers and received quotes. Thanks to HomeAdvisor we found the perfect company for the job. Will use HomeAdvisor again when we need home repairs.

My electrical panel had a 15 Amp breaker that was intermittently tripping. Problem was isolated to a faulty breaker which was replaced. My experience with electricity is novice at best. I felt more comfortable getting a professional electrician to have a look. Homeadvisor was very instrumental in pairing me up with Eagle Electric. Their electrician Nick resolved the issue and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Thanks!

On this company's advice, I chose a company and they did a terrible job in one area, after complaining to the company direct, they disappointed me by NOT fixing the problem. Company name is (LICA floors). I complained to HomeAdvisor and they promised me they would fix the problem and there are several way to force the company to fix the one spot on the floor they messed up. After waiting patiently for several months HomeAdvisor doesn't even call back after leaving messages many times which tells me the customer is not worthy of a call back. The lady that was to take care of the problem was called Tammi **, so beware if she is handling you problem. I also filed a complaint with BBB about HomeAdvisor. If I were you stay away from this company!!!

I made an appt to have an estimate on gutters, but the guy called in sick from a stomach ache, which I consider fishy. Then I tried to review the "pro" on HomeAdvisor site and it did not appear on the list displayed. So I am questioning the veracity of the suggested "pro" and Home Advisor's competence to suggest pros. I will not be using their site anymore.

Cleaning Service. Great Referral. I will use them again for other local contractors in the area. I would suggest that the system they use when you need to contact the person before the service was better. I was running late to let the contractor in and the wrong company called me back. I got a call from someone in Dallas.

I originally started my project using Angie's List. After a week of total frustration because one contractor never returned my call; one did not send me the bid they promised; and another did not show up at their scheduled appointment; I decided to try Home Advisor. I no sooner submitted my project information and I immediately received a response. The company came out to look at the project and immediately gave me an estimate. The work was completed the next day. I am thoroughly satisfied with Home Advisor and I plan to use them again.

The repairman found the bad part and a couple others that were not within specifications and could fail not too far in the future. We determined it would be best to replace them at this time. I can now rest assured that I can rely on the furnace through the winter.

Requesting a home service from Home Advisor is very simple to use. I have used it a few times for very different services around the house and every time I have had successful outcomes. The response time is immediate and gives me a peace of mind that the contractors have gone through a process to get registered.

Also we were informed on our wells depth, and the shape of the well. We were informed that our well was producing more than enough water, and given tips on how to keep our well in top shape.

House Cleaning. Very good service where you might find reputable services in your local area. I found HomeAdvisor easy to navigate and was please with how quickly I received results. I am very pleased with the the Individuals I have spoken to and have now hired through HomeAdvisor.

The companies that responded to my request were very professional and seemed eager to get the job, but was not rude after not receiving the job.

In Homeadvisor's quest to make big money they are really ripping off all of these contractors. Just asking a question costs each business 40.00/interaction whether you use them or not. It's this sort of greed that while I'm sure you are rubbing your hands together and laughing all the way to the bank, is just sickening. I don't know how you people sleep at night. YUCK to you! This is what gives startups a bad name; and degrades your service! For each inquiry I make I get 5 desperate phone calls from contractors who now need to get their money's worth. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Quickly received multiple referrals from Home Advisor and hired just the right contractor to take care of the job. He was trustworthy, reliable as well as affordable. The job was done quickly and I could not have had a better experience.

I needed repairs to my garage door which would not stay closed and the need for this repair coincided with my decision made months previously to install a new door that is insulated. I went to the store and spoke at length with an employee (William) and later, decided to buy and have a new door installed. In the meantime, a repair person came to my house and fixed the door I had. However, I was not charged for the call or the part. The door was installed today and I am very pleased.

Garage door track was misaligned and had dragging wheels that were not turning. Repairs made to correct alignment and replace faulty wheels. Repairs made in appropriate amount of time after arrival and at a reasonable price. Personnel were friendly and courteous.

My experience with the recommended pro was great, but my experience finding the pro on the HomeAdvisor website has not been satisfying. Sometimes it seems that you don't have a pro to recommend so I'll get pros for related topics like when I wanted a roof washing pro and got janitorial services. Follow up seems timid and short lived.

AC Repair - I always use Home Advisor for all my house repairs. I have had a very positive response. Everyone whom I have hired through Home Advisor have been excellent in service. I have recommended Home Advisor to family and friends, and most of them have started using it, and also had a very pleasant experience.

You can find help here and shop prices at the same time. You will have the opportunity to talk to 'real' people with a list of recommendations and referrals. Very important when hiring someone to do work at your home. You will know their names, backgrounds, experience, and get all your questions answered. Excellent when searching for anyone to enter your home.

Fixed disherwasher. Told me what it would cost when he found out what the problem was. That I could still use it for now. The problem was the door handle. Gave me the serial # for the part & where to get it. Great guy.

The work environment must be a very chaotic and unsupervised one.... I'm all for less stress in the work place; however, when you hear, what sounds like a bunch of ridiculous frat boys goofing off and worse- what sounds like-teasing in the background, while she is on the phone with you- then it just becomes unprofessional and disconcerting. I'm not sure how this woman maintained her composure so well. She was very knowledgeable and completed the call, regardless of her fellow employees and never broke stride or let on .... But, I heard it. Sure left me uneasy about doing busy with a company that would employee males of that character or rather lack there of.

It is great to go somewhere that can provide information and options for my projects. They called to confirm we had all the information we needed. We have used HomeAdvisor for other projects and it has always worked for us.

I have had three terrible experiences with HomeAdvisor referrals in the past. I called Angie's List recently to find someone to pressure wash decks and wash windows. I had no idea that Angie's list was now part of Home Advisor. I received two calls from Window washing companies... I was surprised that they were Home Advisor referrals, not Angie's list. I talked with both, and told both I had had bad experiences with Home Advisor referrals, and learned that Angie's List had been acquired by Home Advisor, although nothing in their ads indicates that.

I had rotten and cracked siding that really needed to be repaired. I reached out to Home Advisor and got BBF Construction who came out right away and was able to do the job within days. Very good experience. I would contact them again when a project comes up. I have used Home Advisor previously as well with great success.

Highly recommended with successful prior experiences. In the past I also use Angie's List and found that many of the contractors were similarly rated. What also helps is familiarity with many of the contractors and some personal references. The service provided is much appreciated.

I has options to choose from, chose closes to my home. Contractor clearly had a lifetime of experience and fully explained process of repair job and anticipated timeline. I am happy to review and report by email, was not happy to get calls from Home Advisor during work hours on my mobile.

Respectful to both myself and my brother, did great work, applied the amount we talked about, clean up good. Came on time worked for several hours. There was one aspect that I personally didn't like, there was over spray or outside of garage doors, but David said it would weather off in time of which I accepted.

Completely stripped the deck floor and the top of the deck plus did some changing of the deck size. They added composite decking and 2x2 cedar strips on the top. They arranged for all of the waste to hauled and left the yard as they found it.

I had asked friends to recommend someone to take out an old drop-in oven and get everything ready for the delivery of a new oven--not a drop-in, I don't guess they make those anymore. I placed a review about one of their contractors that destroyed my property. HomeAdvisor contacted me several times regarding the review. They removed my review twice pending further data, which was provided. I found that my review was removed despite the overwhelming evidence regarding my review. This included photos of the damage created by the contractor, invoices and canceled checks. HomeAdvisor removed my review as I suspect they have removed others. They are doing this, because they make their money off the contractor that obtain work through their site. They do not care about the end customer. HomeAdvisor will be report to legal authorities for fraud.

A tree that was half dead and leaning on another tree would have eventually fallen into the street. It was taken down, removed and the stump was ground. Gary was timely and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again if I had other tree work that needed to be done.

I needed a heating specialist to fix my home boiler. The weather had turned cold and the pilot wouldn't stay lit. I replaced the thermocoupler (a simple DIY project) but that didn't solve the problem. The heating pro replaced a valve and cleaned the pilot assembly and that solved the problem.

Correction of incorrect work done 4 months ago. Downspout drainage, poor drainage and overflow water from right of way behind property and drainage from neighbors’ yards. Restore sod in areas done incorrectly. Previous company did not direct drainage to proper channels and failed to return to fix the problem. Mr. ** responded to Home Advisor email promptly and began the repairs quickly.

I contacted Home Advisor to help me locate a furnace repair person. Within 15 minutes I had a phone call from a local company. They arrived in less than an hour - diagnosed the problem, had the issue repaired at a most reasonable cost. I will definitely trust and use Home Advisor in the future for any future home repair expenses.

Fence install. Really appreciated Home Advisor doing all the research and “leg work” on the pros. The company came when they said, reviewed unexpected changes to the job before proceeding (see * below), and completed a thorough cleanup afterward. I feel HomeAdvisor provided me with the proper tools to repair my house. * A major roof area required new wood replacement due to unexpected rot. Mr Canales reviewed this with me before proceeding.

I needed my septic tank cleaned and went to Home Advisor. They contacted me within minutes with names of Septic companies they refer. I was contacted by United immediately thereafter. Toilet tank repairs. Good experience. Repairman showed up on time and got the job done in less than an hour- cost was slightly higher than I anticipated for the work that was done. He also recommended someone that could help me with another part of the problem, the clean-up of the wet carpet.

Marketing and sales people usually are the worst people humanity has to offer, but these guys at HomeAdvisor are very, very bad people. HomeAdvisor is a scammy middleman trying to leech off of hardworking people. Stay away from this scammy middleman company. They only make things worse and more expensive for everyone.

In my opinion this company is very professional and knowledgeable. The staff is friendly and patient and most willing to help answer all my numerous questions. They were timely and in fact, offered an install a day head of schedule, with our installation. Our installers were very conscientious about the location of the antenna as well as the aesthetics. I needed to find a professional to paint the exterior woodwork on our home. I selected one for locality, and because their references were online. I also had two other professionals that I procured from other personal references. I chose Five-Star because I could read their references - though I could not tell if they were local; because the first time we met I was given proof of insurance, a timeline, and an estimate to sign. I appreciate their business.

This is my first time using Home Advisor. I am totally impressed with the care and attention it gives to the customer. Specifically, Home Advisor communicates with the customer to ensure they select a professional, communicate to be sure the professional you select is communication with you and seeks customer review of their experience with the professional and their own business practice. I will certainly use Home Advisor again for a couple of reasons. First your response is timely. Second you have a good selection of professional to choose from for work. Third as a senior citizen you provide a service to us looking to find reputable professional for home work.

Burned on first and only time I used HomeAdvisor. After my pro request list came back for licensed plumbers in my area to replace all gas lines from meter to appliances, I received a call from a "plumber" not on the list. Wouldn't give a company name, only gave his first name, could do the work right then and gave me a phone quote without even asking number of appliances etc. Also advised me that he can do electrical, roofing, etc. Told him I would get back to him. Did reverse lookup type research on him and found out he went to jail several times for contracting jobs and running off with the money, known under seven company names AND that he is not licensed for ANYTHING. Pretty scary when you think of him possibly working on people's natural gas lines or electric in their home.... So, do your research, since HomeAdvisor apparently doesn't vet all the pros that they sell your information to.

I love being able to use HomeAdvisor to find businesses in my area for my projects however you send TOO MANY emails. It's ridiculous the amount that I received when I started looking for professionals in my area. It made me consider using a different source..

3 separate issues were repaired in a timely, reasonable and pleasant fashion. Should additional plumbing issues arise, I would not hesitate to use this plumber and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again. The work was completed within two hours which included a trip to purchase a specialty part. While not cheap, the cost of the repairs was within reason.

The service providers recommended by Home Advisor were both excellent. They provided timely, last minute, service. First time user and it appears to work for me. I typically use another service (Yelp), and Home Advisor provided me with an alternate way of finding quality service. The way that the site is formatted was very user friendly. My only issue was when I had to write a review for the service provider. I did the review on my phone and I was not able to submit, nor was I able to copy and paste the information I wrote. Unfortunately, I had to rewrite the review. Other than that, I would recommend this site to my friends and peers.

I think Home Advisor is a great place to start your search for professionals, but I would advise others to also get estimates from outside of the Home Advisor network. What I've found from the various projects I've completed is that those professionals on Home Advisor tend to price similarly. Other professionals outside of Home Advisor, who are quite good, tend to price lower.

I used HomeAdvisor to find a good tree company to remove some large oak limbs and a mature cedar tree from my property. The neighborhood gets lots of guys with pick ups and chain saws which are definitely not what you need for limbs like this. CG was quick to respond and fair on pricing. I will use HomeAdvisor for my next project.

I was looking for trim molding on my staircase and ended up getting box molding in my dining room and crown molding in the dining and living room. I was extremely pleased with the work quality, cost and efficiency of this provider and the Home Advisor process was quick, easy and I felt safe obtaining a contractor from this site.

When I scheduled an appointment thru Home Advisor, Skunky's personnel never showed up. I contacted Skunky's directly and they came the next day. It seems that Home Advisor did not coordinate schedule with Skunky's.

I had a chimney guy come out last year and tell me I needed over $7K of work done (on a 4-year-old house). Asking around did not find me anyone that serviced my area so, I went on HomeAdvisor and found a reputable company in five minutes.

We hired Pro.com through Home Advisor and initially after the estimate we felt comfortable using them and signed the contract. Worst mistake of our lives. Their prices very overpriced for the quality of the work and craftsmanship we received. Everything we were told at our initial meeting with them turned out to be lies. I felt like I had to be there to make sure we received the quality and products we asked for. In many cases we found out the estimate was for a basic product that we would never have used and where told to sign a new invoice with a increase in cost.

The job was professionally done by GK General Construction, LLC. They were skilled, trustworthy, realistically priced and 5 star all around. They removed damaged Hardie Plank siding planks and replaced them with the same and painted them after installation. They completed a thorough inspection to ensure that all of the damaged planks were removed and replaced.

Not enough installers responded to my quote requests. Requested four different companies to quote and only one responded. Hired him and he turned out to be great. Got lucky. Right Angle Construction was a joy to work with and he did an excellent job. Disappointed though that he was the only responding contractor.

Having contacted Home Advisor, I had two calls from carpet cleaners and Mark ** responded the fastest with an over the phone estimate and informing me that once the footage was taken it may very well be a bit more. However the price was even better than what I expected, Mark will be my go-to guy from now on!!

Did what they said in a timely fashion. They were easy to use. Very helpful. The price of zero was definitely worth it to use. I had no problems and I am not tech savvy. This is a huge deal when doing anything on the internet.

Absolute Garbage. HomeAdvisor called us relentlessly for 3 months on ever-changing numbers, even though we asked to be taken off the call list because we only do commercial roofing. Finally I accidentally answered one of their calls thinking it was a customer. The rep swore up and down that they had lots of commercial leads. I told him we weren't interested in leads being sent to multiple companies since roofing isn't a commodity and it isn't a reasonable comparison. He said the leads would be exclusive. He also promised they would be thoroughly qualified, and that the refund process would be quick and easy.

Referrals for tree work. I was happy with the providers suggested. I have gotten names from Home Advisor in the past & I think they refer reliable people. I don't especially like to get calls before I've decided who to contact, but I'm getting used to that more aggressive approach.

Home Advisor vendors supplying multiple quote for a job lets you pick the right price with the right vendor personality to fit your job. Low price is good, but having confidence in the vendor is key. And they know once selected, both Home Advisor and me, the client, will hold them to their price, job quality and performance.

Microwave Installation and hauling the old equipment. Very prompt service and a very professional service representative. Arrived on time, did a very thorough job. Jack was knowledgeable and experienced. Completed the job on time and the quality of the work and interactions were very professional and are highly satisfactory.

We have used Home Advisor three times this past year to have work done on our home. The companies that were recommended all did wonderful jobs to make our home great looking that a lot of people stop to look at the changes that were done and how good it looks.

All they ever did was lie and cheat. I called them to complain and the so-called "Complaints Department" phone number they gave me was just a pre-recorded scam message trying to sell you health insurance. HomeAdvisor is a scam in every single way. Everything they do is a scam. Also, never believe anything Steven tells you. Anything he or their sales staff tell you is a flat out lie. That guy is as evil as Hitler himself.

We were very happy with experience. We received a list of professionals quickly. One was excellent in reaching out to us. The others we had to pursue for quotes. Very happy with professional that we chose. Overall, would recommend Home Advisor.

Carpet cleaning. We were very pleased with our quick response and VERY pleased with the company recommended to us. They did a great job on our carpets - they look new. I like that it did not take a long time to dry. We will use this company again for sure!!

Toilet stop up unstop flush freely water goes down freely. Toilet flush freely hold down handle until hear hissing sound. Technician used a snake not a real snake but a snake with a handle. He put it in and twist it, pull it out and put it in again. This time all is well.

While some experiences have been good, others have been a nightmare. This is fair and accurate. I have learned that I must be wary of the companies that are listed on this service as they are not all vetted and reputable. I will continue to use the service because of the convenience of having a number of services to choose from, but I now know that I too, must investigate the services offered and the people who are being forwarded to me.

I have done a number of projects using Home Advisor. It is quick and easy to use. The list of contractors has always been a great source to choose from. If your looking for a contractor for work you need done, this is a very good source. Will use them again.

I've found a handful of great pro's for multiple home projects. I don't know how much vetting goes into the process for Home Advisor but I have not been disappointed with any of the pro's that I have hired. Joe

Beware of this service. I used them to find service pros to give me a FREE QUOTE. They came out and charged for the 'free quote'. There was nothing on the site about a fee and they basically told me, with a lot of attitude, that it was MY fault that I didn't ask the right question regarding the FREE QUOTE. Unbelievable. I will NEVER use this service again. For those looking to use them anyway, ASK BEFORE these service providers come out for a 'FREE QUOTE'. This is a fraudulent service.

I requested help finding someone to install a privacy fence and that same afternoon had several calls and appointments set up. Great response. I would definitely recommend Home Advisor to any and all that ask who needs work done to their home. Thanks.

Finding house cleaner. The two services recommended were both responsive. We went with Lone Star maids because they were willing to come out on a Saturday and give us an estimate and able to star the next Monday. I had never used Home Advisor before but we needed someone to pressure clean our lanai, driveway and sidewalk. I had two responses immediately and we chose Depalma & Sons who were excellent. We will definitely use the company and Home Advisor in the future.

Pressure washing. This is the first time I used HomeAdvisor and will most definitely use it again. I was contacted within a very short time and had scheduled an appointment with Kyle for an estimate the next day and the next day the job was done. Within 48 hours the job was completed.

Great help at finding a professional company in your area. I have now used this service twice. A home inspector when buying a house and a roofing company. Both hired and did a great job. I like that it gives you options with reviews, especially in such a small town.

My water heater leaked and had to have it replaced. HomeAdvisor got me to a professional quickly. The work was done right at a good price. Would use HomeAdvisor for my future projects and would recommend using HomeAdvisor for your projects.

This service worked very well, I had replies from multiple contractors. However, another previously requested service resulted in no response from any contractors. I don't know if the fact that I wanted this done quickly, resulted in more responses. The other service was a month or two out.

Fast work, personable men who came to do the work. They came early and did the work fast. Thunder Garage & Locksmith is my recommendation. My experience with other local garage door repair services was a nightmare for me. Others locally said they would be here within a 2-hour window and 2 of them were late.

Repair of water damage. Found a small company (Little deeds) that really cares about ensuring customer gets great value. Emilio and Brad were the main service providers and they provided excellent work and are very experienced. They overcame all challenges that surfaced and offered great solutions.

In searching for a sump pump service provider I haven't had the same good luck and am disappointed with the small number of choices. Will have to resort to conventional means. I generally don't like providing my contact information for service providers to reach out to me. I want to be the one to initiate contact. I am looking for a quality service provider, not a bidding war.

Once you submit a job, it is nice that a live person calls and confirms things. But they called at 8:20 AM. Should wait until 9AM local time. Also found out that my address is available to all Service providers on Home Advisor even to the ones that I did not "Invite". I found out that other people have showed up to a homeowner's house claiming to be someone from one of the recommended companies but they are not. Which is concerning in today's culture. It did not happen to me personally but I have heard of it happening. I would like Home Advisor to fix this privacy breach.

Removed old linoleum tile and leveled the utility room floor. Cleaned up every day and hauled away the debris. My house is very old so there were many adjustments to remove and install the baseboards. Chai Floors did a Beautiful job.

Great job, quality work and reasonable price! The job was a major renovation of a storefront of the main floor and the basement with new stairs, sheetrock, a floor to ceiling wall with doors around kitchen area crown molding and new doors throughout.

August 2017 choose a roofing company from HomeAdvisor. AmTech. Been a nightmare. Said he was licensed contractor. He only has a business license anyone can get? No experience required, Man name Tony. The owner looks professional. Tells me he does everything by the book. Said he had a trained crew that worked for him many years. They would come to my home, install my metal roof in one day. Gave me a pre-formatted contract, That stated furnish and install new pipe boots. I had 5 pipes. It said all work to be done in a professional timely manner. That all debris trash would be cleaned up each day. I even had him sign a paper stating all work would be done by the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications no exception.

Don’t be fooled! How do you think they turn a profit? They are selling your information to contractors looking for referrals. How well do you think they screen their “contractors” if that is where their revenue comes from? I am a furniture builder/restorer and they have called and harassed me tirelessly through calls, texts, and emails to join their rolls and I refuse! I am assuming they found me through a social media search since that seems to be the only info they have. I have asked them nicely to take me off of their call list and I block their numbers on my cell but they continue to call. They deceptively use local numbers (like any shady telemarketer/collection agency) but have a callback number in another part of the country when leaving a message. I do well on my own through social media and word of mouth so I don’t need their service. Especially when it is this deceptive to consumers.

Would use Kingdom Construction again and highly recommend their services. Very professional, polite and efficient. I was kept abreast of the entire operation from beginning to end. This company cleared junk and debris from a resident that was being sold.

I do not personally know any contractors in this area. This is the 3rd time I have used HomeAdvisor and I will be using them again in a couple of months to find a contractor to paint my house and wash my roof.

I contacted HomeAdvisor to receive names of companies repairing balcony doors. Three vendors called immediately and I was able to schedule service 48 hours out. The representatives were professional, timely and did great work. I HIGHLY recommend HomeAdvisor to friends and family.

HomeAdvisor acted in a very fraudulent manner. I am a contractor who has used the HomeAdvisor service for years. I am busy the last few so I have had my leads off. They say I’m to get an email to restart leads But this does not always come. No guarantee. They started the service with no email, told me not to worry about certain types of leads unless the customer and I agreed on a deal to perform work.

Friendly and professional. Did a nice job repairing broken concrete and crumbling steps in front of house. They were able to match the ancient bricks that were there originally (not an easy job). Cleaned up nicely when finished. Would definitely hire again.

I reviewed the ads on Home Advisor and chose Mike **. He was on time, clean, friendly, knowledgeable and did a very good job. I have used Home Advisor in the past and was very pleased with the servicemen I found.

Needed someone to fix my Sloan flushmate. Another plumber told me they did touch them. I received a prompt call and the plumber was able to fix it Monday afternoon. With foot and leg issues, it was hard to go downstairs every time I need to use the toilet. Great to have my upstairs one fixed.

Roof repair. Showed up on time and gave a fast estimate. Promptly returned all calls/texts. Did the project in 1 day. Did an excellent job on the roof, and explained all of the work required. Did a very good job cleaning up afterwards. Highly recommended. All aspects of the job were thorough and professionally done.

Repair kitchen cabinets. It took a little while to find someone, because I listed the job and They suggested I advertise for a Handyman. Because I put the job under carpenter. When I did this I got 3 responses right away. They spoke to me prior to the job and assured me that all workers had background checks and told me what to ask for. I have used Them Before and I would use HomeAdvisor again, I trust them. They take a lot of worry out of hiring a stranger.

HomeAdvisor gave me options for the job I needed done, and the contractor recommended was excellent. The contractor contacted me immediately after my HomeAdvisor submission. The contractor was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My roof cleaning was completed within the week.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with someone trying to make a sale. First of all, I didn’t call your company. You called me. Apparently someone who had an account with you used to have our number in the past. When your sales woman called us, I quickly and politely told her that we don’t have an account with Home Advisor and that the person who used to have this number must have. She then called me a liar, and then hung up the phone. I called back thinking maybe I misheard her. When she answered I asked if she called me a liar and she said that she did. I asked to speak to her manager and then she went on to claim that she was the manager. I told her she wasn’t and again asked to speak to her manager. She then said that if we have a complaint to call and report her and then she hung up again.

Home Advisor sent me several potential plumbing leads! They were all fairly competitive! I actually went with the lowest bid and everything worked out fine! Home Advisor is a really useful service, and I would definitely use it again for future needs!

Garage door maintenance. I interviewed three contractors and without any fees for the first visit. I chose what I considered the fairest price and proceeded with the project. The Work was performed very efficiently and much faster than I anticipated. The result was I now have garage doors that function more smoothly and quietly than I hoped for. All moving parts were replaced with new superior ones and my wife will no longer have to close hers with the keyed in code. Best investment of my time in a long while.

I needed a patio put in and didn't really know where to turn, so got recommendations from Home Advisor, had three people come in with estimates and chose one, whom I was extremely happy with. Because they had a minimum of three pre-selected contractors, it was easy for me to go through the final selection process.

I was given multiple choices for the job I needed to be done. After my initial scheduled appointment, they did a follow-up call to see the progress and see if other projects were needed or problems with my current project.

All American contractors. This contractor was very reliable and fair priced. Recommended him to my neighbor who also used his services. He kept us informed about his arrival and any delays that occurred. My project was small but I am sure he is just as dependable with larger projects.

Air Conditioning Repair. Gave me a list of recommended contractors to choose from. The contractor replied and I was able to get the repair done on my schedule. I didn't have to sort on my own which company served my area. That was a plus.

Home Advisor has always recommended excellent pros who do great work. My one complaint is that I clearly marked "do not call" as I wanted to review the pros myself first but as usual I immediately received a call from one of the pros. This is the only reason I sometimes avoid Home Advisor.

Most recently, we selected a tree service from HomeAdvisor's PRO listings. They provided a very reasonable cost & job proposal, and after hiring them, were extremely pleased with the work they performed. (We appreciate that they were insured and background checked, as well.) We've used HomeAdvisor to hire others for carpet cleaning & tuckpointing services, and feel very confident in referring our friends & family to contact HomeAdvisor for their own needs, too!

Remove debris from old, dismantled cross tie retaining wall. They also hauled dirt to backfill an area behind a new retaining wall. In addition to hauling the dirt, this job also included physically lifting very heavy railroad cross ties.

They found the pest that was making a scratching noise on the damper in my fireplace. They inspected attic for any problems. Went on roof and inspected chimney. Wire on its cap was bad, allowing anything to get in. They replaced with new wire the following day.

I requested Installation of home electronics such as a T.V., Xbox, etc.. The appointment was for Friday, September 20th at 8am and no one showed up. I called to find out why and was told the contractor decided not to come!! No explanation given. Upon verification of who I was I noticed they had my address incorrect. They put Street Quart East instead of Street Court East for my address!!! Who does that!!! Then they wanted to reschedule my installation for a week later on September 28th!! No refund offered for the inconvenience of missing out on income since I had to take off for this mess!! Won’t ever book with them again!!!

I have had 2 shocking experiences with Home Advisor. I tried to leave negative reviews detailing my experience. I've had no issues posting positive reviews in the past, for services I have hired through the site. They will not allow me to leave a negative review, they allow positive reviews only. Will never use their site again, knowing the review system is rigged. Their positive site reviews certainly influenced me to hire these particular contractors. This is unethical, deceptive behavior. The plumbers I hired for a $6500 job demanded payment prior to job completion, hounded me daily and refused to complete the job until full payment was made. Once payment was made, they left without completing the job. I hired them in the past for small jobs without issues and left several 5 star reviews for this company, who I realize were buttering me up for a large job.

HomeAdvisor helped me to easily choose a great contractor to remodel my kitchen and I was extremely happy with the work they did. HIGHLY recommend. The process is easy and it only takes a few minutes and people are calling you for your business.

I called a provider on their website and did not get a call back, when asked by Home Advisor I relayed the info and the next day a different provider called me back and had my project done in a few days.

Hauled off junk. The two young men that did the job were punctual, polite and very efficient. They worked very well with one another. I will refer them to others and plan on hiring them in the near future. I feel like I have a friend with HomeAdvisor. Thank you very much.

We initially contacted Chris to seal/caulk the bathroom tub and master bath frameless shower enclosure. He did a wonderful job and was very pleasant. We asked him if he could clean the grout in our bathrooms and kitchens, which he then did. They looked so good afterward. We are very happy.

I love that HomeAdvisor offers so many businesses for so many projects. They save you time because you don't have to do the searching, which is a job in itself. You read the reviews and make your decision. I'm very happy about the fact that it takes away most of the worry which comes with just trying to find someone qualified to perform a service.

Cedar siding repair. Contacted two pros from the list provided. Both came out promptly to assess the work needed. Only one got back to me to provide an estimate, but that estimate seemed fair for the work involved and I was very happy with the job that was done. I plan to have that company (At Home Improvement) do more work on other projects at my home. Overall, I'm pleased.

Home Advisor supplied fast responses to my requests for service and I have never been disappointed with their service providers. The company that fixed my a/c (Breeze Air) came out at 6 pm on a holiday weekend. The refrigerator repair company (Serviz) was early. I will continue to use them for all my home repair jobs and recommend them highly.

HomeAdvisor has a list of painters that checked out good and I selected one of them. The first one on the list could not do the project, but the second one did and the job was very good. I also used them for gutter work. That worked out ok. The gutter contractor did what I asked of him.

They have a great list of contractors that have been checked out even before they can be recommended on HomeAdvisor, which lightens some of the load for the homeowner, but I still recommend you do your homework too. I highly recommend RoofTop Williams for your roofing needs. They were very professional and reasonably priced. They also give military discounts.

My lawnmower broke down after I had done about a third of the job. I knew I couldn't get it repaired in less than a week so I posted on HomeAdvisor and got a call from one of their professionals within 30 minutes. He came to my home within an hour and finished the job while I was at soccer practice with my Grandson. You simply can't ask for better service than that. Thank you HomeAdvisor!

Recovered bar stool chairs. Assis Upholstery called back the same day and said that because I only gave him a small project to do he would come the very next day and complete the project. I never thought anyone would be so reliable, considerate and professional in business these days. Painting - The process was quick and easy. It was amazing how Home Advisor directed me to the right business to choose. I have had used Home Advisor on a few occasions and always had a good experience. I would definitely use them again.

As a contractor looking to grow my business I trusted and looked in to Home Advisor, they charged me a $289.99 Introduction fee and soon after a $100.21 lead fee and a few days later another $20.40 lead fee. Giving them my credit card was a big Mistake. The leads were not relevant leads nor leads that we could do. After calling them to get the issue corrected they promised a full refund, this was months ago and up instill today NO refund. I am not sure a refund will ever happen. Please be careful with them customers call in to find a contractor, Home Advisor sells the leads sometimes to Unlicensed contractor and Under lies. They will push leads to anyone just to make a buck, in this case they sold me leads for trades we were not lic to do. But trying to get a refund is NOT going to happen.

Stump Removal. Got me in touch with someone immediately who could take care of my project. I called several companies prior to using HomeAdvisor and they could not commit without coming out to make an estimate. HomeAdvisor saved me several days of red tape processing.
