Storm door installation, found professional and cost saving professional to the job. They did extra work (Sealed gutters, clean out attic, removed debris from back yard). I saved a lot of money with these contactors. Was going to allow Lowe's to do the storm door installation, but the price was way too high.

All the work performed was done very well. I was pleased with the result. Very professional and the person performing the work was professional and very conscientious. I would use Home Advisor again whenever I have another project that I am unable to do by myself.

Drywall repair. Bid out to 3 contractors - Remodeling Creations met the timeline, the price and during the job took the time to add some extra supports to the ceiling joists before completing the job. Very professional, but very friendly. Look forward to using them again in the future for some other projects I need done.

When I look for a service on Home Advisor I trust that companies on the site have been screened, used and checked out and are found to be reliable, trustworthy and honest. Response from a chosen service is quick. It's great!

This was our first experience with Home Advisor and they suggested two professionals and we took the first one to respond. The work of the tree trimmers was very professional and very neat. Will definitely use Home Advisor again and also the firm that did our tree trimming.

CS Reps were very courteous and asked the right questions to get right to my issues. Before placing my mobile device down, a repairman was calling me. From the initial call to the completion of the required work took less than 4 hours. The CS Rep followed up to ensure my satisfaction with the service provided.

John corrected installation problems (from 7 years ago) that led to our current problem. He also replaced a few parts. He addressed & followed up on our needs promptly. He worked with the manufacturer to ensure that he completed all needed adjustments. He made sure everything was working correctly before billing us.

Estimate was accurate and the most competitive. Work was completed quickly, communication was excellent. There were a few extra things that needed to be done, but this was expected and there were no big surprises, plus, the extra work was done at a very reasonable prices. Overall, the company was very easy to do business with and I am very happy with their work. I would absolutely use them again.

I've tried to use Home Advisor to look for several different contractors. Many times, I come up empty, or the contractor doesn't return calls. I had a good experience finding someone to insulate my basement. I have yet to find a painter who will show up.

I have had several of the companies perform below expectations. I had a new screen door installed and it was cut out of square leaving a wide gap around the door. I was told it was because my house was not square! But this same company did a good job installing a ceiling fan and light fixture. I had a company that repaired a leaky roof and I had to hire another company 6 months later to repair the repair. I wish that the companies on Home Advisor would stick to what they know and not just take a job for the money.

This company is 0 for 5. I prepaid for my septic tank to be pumped out. HomeAdvisor didn’t have anyone so that gave me back my money. They should have known there wasn’t any such company in their files.. Next I asked for them to find a painter to paint two bathrooms and some light Sheetrock work. The first so-called pro said it wasn’t worth his time to do the job because it was a small project. The second one never called at all. And the third one that HomeAdvisor patched me thru said to call him in the morning and I did. I had the whole day off. He said he was on a job and he would come by after work to give me an estimate. Which was fair. He never called. It’s been two days. No calls. HomeAdvisor and the word Pros are an oxymoron.

Homeadvisor.com does not require contractors to be licensed or insured. Criminal Background check only. This is the third and final failed encounter with homeadvisor.com and I cannot emphasize enough you verify hired contractor has current insurance as well as a genuine contractor license.

Fantastic experience using Western Excavation. So many hidden challenges (roots) did not detour Jesse and the team. The project results were way past expectations. Jesse is honest, creative, positive and does fantastic work. I really enjoyed working with him. He kept me abreast of every change and worked with me with all the add-ons. I had Jesse add a paver patio that turned into the highlight of the backyard.

Plumbing Camera Scope-Cast Iron Plumbing Inspection. Response was Immediate from 3 Businesses. One Company was rather high with their estimate which caused me to get a 2nd Estimate. The 2nd Estimate was more realistic, the company was hired and the job completed, on Schedule. There were minor issues, which the company addressed and handled professionally and apologetically. Great Overall Experience, under the circumstances.

Peace of mind in knowing these contractors were pre-screened for quality. Worth the time saved in looking up myself. Contractors contacted me via email and/or phone. I had comparisons to make with info provided. This proved to be very effective time management!

I tried to have a basketball hoop installed. The guy came, took 40 dollars for "supplies" and then disappeared never to return. He said the project was more hours than Home Advisor paid him for so he would not do the job. I would totally stay away from this app. They claim they make hiring home project help easier but they make it harder. I have no way of talking to the contractor to find out what happened or seeing if I will get my money back. I did get a refund in theory (still waiting) but I won't be going near their services again.

I had a newer antenna but never got good pictures and never was able to get the original installer to come back. Robert was able to fix the problem and now I have GREAT picture with antenna only! No need for a new antenna, just a booster on the one I have.

Home Advisor sold me on utilizing a "page" on their website as an option compared to receiving "leads" from them. I had been overcharged before with another company concerning false "leads". Signed up for 12 months having a company page and they immediately started sending "leads" and charging for them. There is no internal way to shut off lead generation as a permanent option. Only pause them for two weeks, then they send them again and charge. 10 months of calls and working through website solved nothing. I paid for leads I did not use or want. Now I have a small balance they will not wipe clean as our contract ends. Poor contractor treatment and customer service.

Shower door project. Home Advisor connected me with a very qualified and highly rated company. I was able to read the reviews of the recommended professional. As soon as my submission was entered, I received a contact from the company. The reviews on the website were on point. It was a great experience.

Had a clogged drain, plumber accessed the problem, tried to get the clog removed with a drain rotor, hit a blockage; then had to bring the camera in to see the blockage, discovered the issue was in a pipe collar that had collapsed. Next came the back-hoe to dig it up, replace the bad section and install a cleanout drain; fill & cement the parking lot back to rough grade - they're done.

Plumber was professional and friendly. $263 is high for just snaking clogged toilet. Next time I will go and purchase a snake and do it myself. I have no complaints with plumber's service just the high cost of just snaking the toilet.

I signed up for HomeAdvisor's fixed price service to replace an above the range microwave. The appointment seemed to go well and the microwave was installed and running. I was initially happy and the handyman left. However, as I cleaning up a bit I noticed that the microwave was sitting on top of 4 grooves for the wall bracket. Those grooves need to be slotted in the microwave for full support, b/c right now the only thing holding the microwave in place are the screws on top. It appears that my handyman placed the wall mount too low and did not follow the microwave instructions. Come to think of it, he didn't use the instructions at all, rather saying that he's done homes and knows what he's doing. This is very unsafe as I now have a microwave that's mounted without full support.

Home Advisor offered me a fixed fee prepayment service where they would schedule my work. I agreed but they failed to schedule the work and failed to coordinate with the provider whom we ultimately worked with. This was very confusing and time consuming to unravel.

Was not looking for a quote... Wanted to review what contractors were in my area and call them. Home Advisor took it upon themselves to give my information to contractor before I had the opportunity to review contractor. Even though I hired the contractor, they were not what I was looking for.

Had several contractors come out, they were honest about what they could and could not do. Ridgeline Roofing and Consultant has been trying to keep money when he didn't do the job. I had to find someone else. Told him to come and pick up the shingles that he set out on back yard to make me think he was going to do the job. Had the workers come out that rightfully complained about not getting paid enough to do the job. He told them to ask for more money, when I had already paid him over half of what he asked. He tried to get the whole thing before the job was done. I told him to come pick up his shingle and for a month and a half he didn't. My husband came back home and the shingles are gone.

Had two storey open foyer repaired and painted. The original builder's work was rather tired and needed a good deal of overhaul. We had Chameleon retape, plaster and paint. They also re-attached moulding that had come loose. Very fair pricing and terms. Exceptional work. A real pleasure to work with from first contact to completion. I am a professional business owner in computer services. I am very frustrated with the HomeAdvisor lead system. Many times, I have responded promptly to a lead and either been unable to contact the customer OR the customer was not asking for the correct service. I get charged many times for bad leads which I should not be charged for. HomeAdvisor is very poor and granting credit for bad leads. For these reasons, I will be not be renewing my contract with HomeAdvisor when it come due again.

Ceiling insulation. Received (4) recommended contractors who do the work I needed. One called me the same day. Everything went well. I appreciate that all contractors are reviewed by HomeAdvisor before they can be listed. I did get a request for a review before the work was completed.

HomeAdvisor is an excellent source for finding a contractor for any home improvement project. My project was a complete remodeling of an existing shower stall. They prescreen contractors for work quality, customer satisfaction and contractor having insurance. They show customer ratings as well. Choosing a contractor is not a hit or miss effort with HomeAdvisor. When I went into this home improvement effort it was daunting trying to decide on whom to call, but Home Advisor made it easy.

Home Advisor, the company, was booked by me a month and a half ago before I left for Australia. The booking was for house cleaning today, the day before Thanksgiving. They just did not show up! When I asked them to find me a substitute they just refunded the money to my credit card. I need a clean house. I was promised a clean house. One month and a half to find a reliable person and a back up. A refund doesn't work for me YOU HAVE BROKEN A PROMISE- A CONTRACT. Please everyone for your own sake do not hire through Home advisor.

Good referrals for all three. Tree removal(s) and siding replacement great. Fence replacement too. However they overcharged by $30 (Master Fence). Currently working to get the $30 back now but their estimate was more honest than the estimate given by Long Fence.

Thermocouple went out, went online to Homeadvisor and they sent me a list of pros to review and John with Tri Valley Re-Plum Specialist, called and set up a day and time to come out, He came and did the job, fast and accurately, Homeadvisor website is easy to work with.

HomeAdvisor was very easy to use and helped me quickly screen and schedule multiple contractors to give me quotes on my project. I happened to have 2 projects (tree cutting and garage door) come up in 2 days and I used them successfully for both.

Anytime Well and Pump delivered a timely solution to problem of my pump. They made it work, up and running in an hour and explained to me the problem, what caused it and what they did to solve it. They are polite and neat, the staff, truck, tools are all neat and clean.

Re roofed our Park Model in Venture Out. The three brothers showed a true commitment to their employees and to fulfilling their customers requirements. They came when they said they would with a crew of four as well as the third brother. Later John arrived with pallets of shingles that we had ordered, so as to not slow his crew down.

Window cleaning. Two out of the three professional that I checked online contacted me. The one I chose was great! I recommend his company. He was very professional and had up to date equipment. He finished on time and was easy to work with.

Only two were actually real. But I was charged for all the leads. I do not mind paying for leads that are real. Central Air Repair. 2nd time I have used HomeAdvisor and I am 2 for 2 in hiring a pro. I have been satisfied on both occasions with the response time and the Pros that showed up to perform the work. Makes looking for someone to perform a needed task a lot easier than other ways of searching.

Whatever you do don't contract these folks to have your gutter cleaned. After prepaying to have this service for November 15, 2019, no one called or showed up. After calling about what was going a woman apologized and rescheduled for November 20, 2019. This time a guy showed up said he would be on the roof to cleaning the gutter. He put a ladder against the house, started up his blower, then 5 minutes later he stops. Before I could put my coat on to go outside to see what was going on, the guy, his ladder and truck were gone. The gutters were untouched. No explanation. I asked for an immediate refunds and told then this letter would be put in their sleeve as a warning to other potential "victims".

I own a small cleaning company, so I do not have a big accounting department. I pretty much do it all. I am writing this review to warn other small companies. Since I started with Home Advisor in 2018, I have had multiple issues with their dirty dealings. First, they said that I only had to pay one price for the year and that if I turned off my leads, then there would be no extra charge. They told me that I could turn off my leads for 3 months at a time if I called the company directly. This processes would take about an hour because they do not have enough employees answering the phone and I would have to wait on hold for 45minutes to connect to an agent.

Do not use the Fixed Price Services! This is a scam and a joke. I booked handyman services for 2 hours and prepaid for it. I was told a booking (6 days prior to the appointment) that a pro would be connected and would reach out 24 prior to the appointment. The day before my scheduled appointment I still did not have a pro connected. I called the customer service line, only to be hung up on.

We are a landscape company in Kansas, and we have strictly told them NEVER to call or contact us again, yet we still get calls asking us to join their platform. I hope people avoid working with them because they refuse to give businesses privacy they have requested. We might have thought about working with them in the future, but we will NEVER after their constant barrage of unwanted calls and emails. I don't usually write reviews, but to constantly ignore a business's right to privacy deserves a review of 0 stars.

I called and spoke to someone in Pakistan??, who told me “the professionals cancelled and we refunded your credit card.” Home Advisor never contacted me and didn’t think to use another of their many professionals. Within 10 days, someone has opened 15 service requests under my name and phone number. When a service request is created, it sprays your info out to many contractors, who then call, text, email, and create appointments to try to earn your business. This is a major interruption and annoyance, as you might expect. Within 3 hours today, I've gotten 14 phone calls (not to mention texts, emails, and appointments set up for work).

We are very pleased with the job that Phillip did on our carpet. I found him on HomeAdvisor as we needed to have our carpet re-stretched in a couple of rooms and hallways. I planned to have the carpet re-stretched, and then cleaned, but was pleasantly surprised that I could get both done by this same contractor. Phillip gave me a quote, and then performed the work a couple of days later. He was right on time, and completed the work in a very efficient manner. He was very conscientious and worked carefully to move furniture around to get to all sections of the rooms, and the results of both the carpet stretching and cleaning exceeded expectations. Although the carpet in our house is only on the stairs and upstairs rooms, the entire house now has a very pleasant and clean smell.
