AC Repair. Have used Home Advisor before and again. Has been a successful choice in selecting repair services. No longer find the need to blindly try to find a repair service provider. Will use Home Advisor again and will gladly recommend to others in need of such services.

I am very thankful to HomeAdvisor for the ease and simplicity of their software and process in hiring the right people to do the job right. My roof was beautifully done, and looks great!! Most of all, the people that worked on my home treated my home like it was their own, it was a blessing! Thank you so much!!!

Needed assistance with signal from my tv antenna which was located in my attic. Discussed options with installer and tried repositioning the antenna and trying other types of antennas in the attic. We then moved outside and again tried the same. Made a decision on an antenna as well as position and it was installed on the roof. The Terry's installer had many years of experience which showed upon his presentation of options and the final installation. Should you wish to cut the cord, then call Terry's- they got it going on! Project: Pest Control - Bugs & Insects. I received contact information for three vendors in my area for this project and made my selection after contacting two of them. Both of the ones I contacted were professional and prompt. We hired one of them for the project.

I got a phone call from Home Advisor the next morning after submitting information, in which they asked about responses from the pool company. I told them that I heard from one of the pool companies and what the progress was on setting up an appointment.

Needed a painter for interior painting and Carolina Superior Painting was recommended. They did an absolutely amazing job with great price. Very neat and clean and very quickly done. Would highly recommend. Kerry and his team were very professional and great to do business with.

Install stockade fencing. Found this installer quickly and he gave me an estimate quickly. I didn't use him for almost 2 years but he came back and did the job for the same price and so I added 2 other jobs to it and he did a wonderful job.

Very please with the competent professional who serviced my shutters today. It was apparent from his demeanor that he was experienced with the work completed. Additionally, he engaged me into the project in order that I could understand what was needed and how to operate more efficiently. It is without reservation that I will employ him for future maintenance of the shutters. An great company to work with.

Home Advisor was a great help in selecting what I believe were qualified, insured and reputable vendors. I'm glad I used them or I wouldn't have nextGen General Contracting LLC. on my own. I'll continue to use Home Advisor particularly when I'm not sure how to find, rate, rank or select residential home service providers.

Very pleased with the power washing of my paired condo with vinyl siding. They were efficient, cordial, and hard working. I would hire them back for a repeat or other jobs. They arrived at the time quoted and the price was right.

Easy to access and submit requests. However, my phone immediately blew up after submitting my request for a quote. I was hoping to see some e-mails with basic pricing, not three different phone calls within 5 minutes, followed by voicemails and text messages. It would have been nice if there was an option to not receive phone calls (e-mails only).

I found Glenn Myrick Builder on Home Advisor. He promptly returned my initial call and then later calls and emails regarding my project. He is a 5 star builder. He consulted on the project, kept me in the loop, showed up on time. Did a perfect job that I am thrilled with. His Home Advisor rating is what drew my attention to him and his high marks are totally accurate!

Installation of a whole house surge protector. Got a lot of emails and phone calls, but Cobblestone was the first to call and could fit me in the following day. Home Advisor does a great job of selecting companies which are authentic and provide excellent service. Would recommend Home Advisor to all my family and friends.

Home Advisors gave me a short list of contractors. Pro Exteriors answered the call and I asked if I could send them the pictures I had and by that Michael came out and was wonderful to work with. The job is done and I am very happy..

Remove sink and toilet. I needed a plumber right away and was able to choose from several well known (and little known) companies. Very easy to use this site. I'll definitely use again. Good for anyone who is new to area and can't get a friend/relative's recommendation.

Needed downspouts flushed. I posted the request on a Saturday afternoon and did get one call and we scheduled the appointment. No others contacted me. I was highly pleased with the professional who did the job. He came out on Monday afternoon and took care of our needs.

He did a great job! I had ordered 3 window treatments from various vendors & needed someone to install them. He was very professional and did everything correctly. Will definitely recommend to anyone getting window treatments for a new house or their existing one.

There was a leak from the line that connected to the refrigerator. The line was replaced and everything is working. Also replaced valves for hot and cold water leading into the washing machine. I saved JT's information for later reference.

I was looking to compare three vendors' pricing.. HA did not line up anything for me. I have to do it all myself. I called a few guys looking for prices. They all wanted a list of items so they could size a truck and charge me. HA is supposed to vet these guys and do the legwork for me as their client and they don't. One of the guys called me outside of HA (Junk King) and set up an appointment, kept it and gave me an estimate. If you can avoid HA do it. This is not about the JK Guy. It all about HA junky service.

Went to their website. Found a plumber with great reviews. Submitted it to there website and was called by the plumbing company within minutes. Hired the company. Very happy with the company’s responsiveness and quality of work. Home Advisor contact us afterwards to inquire about how the company did and asked us to rate them.

Summer home installation needed since we were not ready for full time habitation! Home was move in ready, but a system had not been installed! It was a one day installation where a keypad and several windows and doors needed protection due to blindsided.

Gutter installation. App was easy to use, and the two recommended firms got back to me within a day or two. I have a few repair projects coming up, and I plan on using the Home Advisor app again. The radio ads made me aware of the service.

I received excellent work performed on my garage door, in a timely fashion and after estimates, at the right price. I had two vertical tracks, two hinges, repair of base plate, and a roller, all installed perfectly. All estimates, parts retrieve, and work done all within several hours.

I am happy with my Home Advisor experience. The times there were businesses available for my jobs, I have been extremely pleased with the customer service, quality of work and pricing. Just need many more businesses available that serve rural areas. Thank you for what you can provide.

Furniture restoration. You recommended an artist who was wonderful and does beautiful work. Ernesto restored 2 antique pieces that have been in our family for generations. The result was fantastic and he is a true artist. I gave him 2 additional pieces to refinish and I know they will be as beautiful as the ones I now have in my home. I would recommend him without any reservation to anyone who needs furniture refinished and restored.

HomeAdvisor's process of describing my project in detail made me feel like I was getting a specific professional prescribed precisely for my project. I hired the pro that it suggested, and he did an excellent job, so whether or not it took all of my specific answers into consideration or not, it found a local expert that I will use again.

This is the third contractor I have found through Home Advisor and I have been very happy with all of them. The only complaint I have is that once you submit the request you are bombarded with automated text, phone calls and emails from contractors and Home Advisor. I find that extremely annoying.

Anyone can pay to be on this site, they are not screened and clearly the ratings are not always accurate. I paid nearly $3000 for a contractor that will not respond to me to finish his work (just realized he didn't complete it). I will not use again.

We have a tile roof that has probably never been cleaned. We got on HomeAdvisor and received very quick responses from the Home Advisor contractors and are very pleased with the end result. They arrived on time, did a great job and left without a mess. We will use Home Advisor again. Thank you.

Water Softener. Felt this to be a trusted site so much so that the 1st company that was listed near me I called, then hired. Having Home Advisor give suggested companies gave me the confidence that I could hire and not worry about being scammed, ripped off or taken advantage of.

Total scam. This company indeed developed a good, easy-to-navigate website, however, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Also, the company DOES NOT return membership in the original way of payment. You will receive a store credit for the services you won't need anymore. This is very peculiar in our time and day. The laborer who was assigned to my project came late, came unprepared for a job, disappeared from the site without finishing the project. All the customer service emails are unanswered.

HomeAdvisor sends way too many texts and emails promoting their own services and "favored pros". I just want to connect to tradesmen and small businesses in my area and make my own choices. I don't need multiple texts and emails from you.

Beadboard installed in a 2nd floor powder room. Pedestal sink removed as well as baseboards. Everything was perfect, Trimwork, baseboards painted and installed, sink re attached to wall, grouted Looks amazing! No mess, no waste. Very pleased with AGS, they are the best! Would hire again!

Check heating and Cooling System. Wanted our system checked for possible problems and I wanted a new thermostat installed. Several businesses were contacted including Spoors. Mike **, the Senior Tech sent by Spoors, was the most thorough and competent in the evaluation of the system. He also fixed the thermostat problem very competently. I felt I got excellent workmanship from a skilled and experienced technician.

Choose Code Pink LLC to do home inspection in preparation to sell home. It was the right choice. Home Advisor very responsive and had a good list to choose from. Will be using it to help choose companies to do some of the recommended home repairs.

So far so good. Polite people and let me know what they were doing. Cleaned up nicely after the job was done. Hopefully this will solve my water problem. I have used Home Advisor before and have a good opinion of the services rendered.

The guys was very nice but when they left so did my daughter MacBook and that was very disappointing. Now I am afraid to have anyone else come out. Do y'all do background checks? I have a lot of work that need to be done and I came to your site because I thought it screen the contractor.

Gutter Cleaning. Easy to use and the person called me within 5 minutes of the ask. He showed up on time and prepared very little talking and he got to work. Did a great job and now I do not have to worry when it rains the next time. It gave me peace of mind.

We called over a dozen different fence companies. About half got back to us but the one we went with was Apollo Fence Co that we got through Home Advisor. I was given chance to setup an appointment immediately, but I didn't realize it was binding. I had to cancel the appoint about 15 minutes later, but I was charged $35 by the company. I will continue to use them in the future, but will be more careful.

Tree Trimming. Yes, Home Advisor was great in helping me get the correct, reputable pro to my home and take care of my task. The pro showed up on time with a crew and even did an additional minor task while the crew was on-site.

I needed to hire a professional cleaning service to do a moving out clean of the condo that I had lived in for a year. I was given three different services to choose from. One service must have been fairly new as it didn't have a lot of reviews and the other had one negative review so I chose the one that had mostly positive reviews and gosh was she just perfect. She did a marvelous job and the whole process and easy and seamless.

Home Advisor recommended Dependable Lawn Care to remove our tree. It was a great success. They were professional and courteous and I was impressed with the technique of cutting a tree down. It's a difficult job depending on the height and width of the tree. Thank you!!

Insulation Labs did what they said they would do. Finished in a timely manner, good workmanship and superb clean up. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering attic insulation. Jacky presented the project accurately and answered all of our questions. Chris the project foreman arrived on time. Explained the process, was polite and finished in a timely manner.

Needed Hot Water Heater Replaced. The Plumber that was recommended did a great job at a fair and reasonable price. I worry about shady contractors coming into my home but Home Advisor made a good recommendation. I will use the service again whenever I need another project done around the house.

Just had my second experience contracting with HA-recommended contractors. One was to pave a driveway, one was to tile a lanai. Both experiences were excellent. The next time I need to identify a contractor for a home project, I will turn to HA first.

We needed a water heater replacement asap. We were moving into our new house, and the tank started leaking all over my garage. With a few clicks my wife had me set up from 30 miles away through Home Advisor. They called me and had someone there within an hour on Memorial Day weekend.

Contractor provided quote to cut trees and grind stumps. Customer paid for entire job—grinding of trunks was not done and he has never called or come back even though customer called several times. Trees were cut 9/25/19.

Concrete patio and walkway. I was apprehensive about who to hire and was unsure of who to ask to do my home improvement project. I chose Home Advisor and had a tremendous experience with the contractor that was recommended. Fast response and a fantastic product was provided at a great price! My wife and I were very happy with the list of contractors that were recommended by Home Advisor and all the services that they offer.

He walked the project with me and discussed the work and what items needed to be addressed as well as the power washing. He knows how to do many things. He always cleaned up any mess made. He and his helper were always respectful and neatly dressed. They are very hard workers.

A/C repair. Techs were very honest. Did more than I expected. Will use this company again in the future. On time, good work. Very friendly. I have a new a/c system in my future. This is a good company.

Cracked Corian countertop/replacement. Very pleased with HomeAdvisor. Connected me with the perfect company to replace my countertop. They did a great job. Was always on time. And kept me up to date on the progress. From ordering to fabricating the new countertops to installation.

All electrical & plumbing problems solved. One problem, I am still waiting to find someone who know about an OUTSIDE tv antenna. In this day of satellites I don't know anyone who still knows how to deal with an outside antenna and get it connected properly to the tv inside the house. You could help in this area if you can locate someone near Monroe, Ga. Thanks.

I ended up hiring one of their recommended companies. The overall experience was excellent from beginning to end. I would first go this route for future projects.

I had problems with a job and pro would not respond but your customer service department followed through and got the pro to fix the problem. He agreed to a fix the asphalt within an allotted time and completed the job within the allotted time.

Fence Installation. They did a great job. Would recommend to family and friends. Company was timely and friendly. Fence was aligned very good. All post are firmly in ground and even all along the fence line. Company was very easy to work with and provided great service.

I have use Home Adviser for a Termite inspection and sump pump failure. I was pleased with both companies and will use them again. I do recommend both. Both was was courteous and respectful. I will continue to use them.

Revamp our irrigation system, re-sod front and back yard, installed outdoor lighting - front and back, formed three new planting beds, selected and installed 43 plants, delivered and installed 20 huge flagstones stepping stones. All work was completed in one week and for very reasonable price.

They did a great job. Their work is very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this team.They removed a very large ficus tree and trimmed up a oak tree. All of this done in one day. Also trimmed some other trees.

I will continue to contact Home Advisor first before trying to sort through the listings myself.

Good experience overall. Our first time using HomeAdvisor so we did not know what to expect. Did not know that the 3 contractors were going to call us. I was expecting to choose and call them. We had a little bit of an issue with one of the contractors who called (unsolicited) after I was working with the fabulous contractor we worked with and asked if he could come over and look at our problem. I thought I was talking to "our" contractor so it caused a slight "communication" problem since I was telling his about what was discussed over the phone and it wasn't even the right company. Figured it out later the same day. No harm, no foul.

Gutter Cleaning service. We were matched with the perfect service and the company contacted us in a timely manner and it was an easy process to answer questions to find a good. When the work was completed they wanted to be sure that we were satisfied and we were.

Unclog kitchen drain. This clogging has happened about once every two years because of a double right-angle turn in the pipe routing. The plumber did the job in 1/2 hr to 45 min. The young man was friendly and personable, so I was delighted. I would hire him again.

Asked for Electrical Work to be done and James from RCI Electrical Services responded within minutes...setup an appointment and hired him to repair the outside PVC pipe that pulled away from the outside electrical panel. The work was completed on time and I'm completely satisfied with the work.

I don't know why they even have Service listed as it is pretty much non-existent. The whole system is terrible with supposed pro's telling you they will do the job then disappearing with you left with no way of contacting them. Also I was charged immediately for the services even though they were never done! I am still trying to get my money back!!!

We were needing dirt to put under a pool. The couple brought the dirt I asked for in a prompt and timely manner. Made sure they got all the dirt out of the truck bed. Made sure I got my money's worth.

I had two old GFCI circuit breakers in my panel that occasionally tripped for no apparent reason. I looked on the manufacturer's website and these breakers were discontinued. 4 Service Pros replaced them with compatible new ones. Excellent service, fair price, friendly techs. Highly recommend.

Our workers did exactly as asked and wanted us to be sure we were satisfied before they left. This involved about a dozen big trees that were pushed over by strong straight lined winds. These were the damaged trees that the NCDOT and Duke Energy did not remove.

Once again I had no worries when I hired a business via Home Advisor. I know I could trust the businesses on Home Advisor and if for some one reason I wasn't happy, know I can reach out to Home Advisor about the issue.

I think this is a good service. As a first time home owner it is important to find excellent, trustworthy companies to deal with. I have been able to do that. Recommended companies can have busy schedules but if you work with it you will be pleased.

Sopped up drain - Good work. Technician very comptent and polite. Offered clear detailed explanations. Prompt. I would definitely use this company again. Pricing seemed very reasonable. They did not make a mess. They really did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to others. Good quality work and they offered a two year warranty.

I have gotten pricing on water heater replacement, fencing, patio & gutters. Every price was very fair and explained completely. I always wished I had more money to do all of the jobs. They have always had 3 or more professionals to look at my projects.

Your service allowed the option of getting calls from those in the business within a hour or so after the service was investigated. And now you are following up on how your service would helped. I hope in the future when seeking other services my experience will be as great as this one was.

Great work, installed exterior door and it looks great. I couldn't have ask for a more professional group. They even clean up the mess and took off the trash from the job. I had about 1/2 inch space showing day light from top of old door and now I don't with new door.

HomeAdvisor was an enormous help in finding a mowing service for us. We live in a very rural area and many companies do not come out this far. They were very professional with excellent communication and attention to detail. They take great pride in the work they do and strive for customer satisfaction. Without HomeAdvisor, we would not have found them.

I love the way their pros return calls. If I say I'm ready for a quote, or ready to begin, sometimes the pros call me within 5 or 10 minutes. The pros they refer are always professional, their fees are fair, and they are willing to work with me.

Of 5 contractors contacted through Home Advisor only 2 responded for the remodeling. Attempted to later find a plumber to replace hot water heater with a tankless water heater. One came out and have me a estimate of 6100.00 with a discount of 1200. One called and quoted 2800 with our looking at the location. The third came out looked at the site and gave me the different quiz based on different tankless heaters.

I have used Home Advisor twice in the past year to find help with problems with my house. One of my garage doors broke and my house had a lot of mold on the outside. I found two excellent companies, via Home Advisor, to come in and do the work that was needed. The companies both had excellent reviews and did excellent jobs. I will go through Home Advisor for any future projects that I need done on my home.

I was looking for lawn care and was contacted by Exprigreen Lawn company. The salesman was very helpful. I did end up going with this company and giving them a five-star review. Home Advisor was very helpful to me in finding what I needed to care for my home.

We were finally looking to replace our retaining wall - and HomeAdvisor provided us with several names - the 2nd company that reached out to us was the one we went with! They were FANTASTIC! My husband and I could not be happier! Without HomeAdvisor we never would have found them!

I had a brochure within an hour and was met the following day to get a quote. I looked at a few other systems, and compared them. Their system was a much better system, has a lifetime warranty, installed under 6 hours. Cost was the same or less than other systems with superior products.

Patio Install help. Home Advisor saved us approx. $1000 dollars by introducing us to another pro who did a great job. It was very helpful to talk to their project manager and have them recommend more specific pros for our projects. It made the process less daunting and their website has prices that you should expect to pay for certain services, very helpful.

My phone is NOT secure. But I had to use it to pay the contractor. NOT OK. Want more options to pay. Paypal. From computer which is more secure. Didn't like I had to download their app. I promptly deleted it. Make it better Home Advisor or I will carry checks when I choose to do business with you.

Spring Replacement Garage Door. Quick, kind and courteous. Did exactly what I requested in about 1/2 the time that was estimated to get the job done. Highly recommended. Will use them again for my next garage project. The cost was lower than what I expected and gave tips on how to prevent the type of repair again.

If you want someone extremely professional and punctual, someone who will listen to your ideas as well as provide plenty of suggestions, Casey is the man. We are very happy with our new patio extension and the cement work they did on the side of the house. Keep in mind (if you look at the photos) that they are not quite finished. I would use Water Heater Express again for my plumbing services.

Tub refinishing. Worked through HA to resource a company to perform work in our condo in St. Pete. We live in RI so challenges were there. The recommendations, all three seemed like good choices. We did not select the least expensive, but through the discovery process identified the company we felt provided the right fit for the job. It was great to have options!

Insulation work. Two of the three Home Advisor contractors came to the house. The third left a message, I returned his call, but did not hear from him again. I appreciate the recommendations. We are very happy with the work of the contractor we selected.

Needed repair on AC unit. Also needed cleaning. Tech checked in attic and cleaned outside unit. Outside unit needed some parts replaced and one part added. Tech did a great job and recommended some other work that may need to be done.

Mold removal. I had two recommendations and decided on the more expensive company because it offered more extensive services that I needed. It saved me time by getting offers right away. Reminders were helpful and additional work services were offered as well.

Please be aware that HomeAdvisor has 2 sides to them. They advertise this fixed price service and will take your money then not back up what they do. In other words, I had an appointment, the guy shows up and isn't a licensed electrician. I had signed up for a project on homeadvisor that specifically said "install new outlet/fixture"... So my payment gets taken and no the project was not completed.

Two different contractors. One did the mail to the house (water valve) and the other contractor put in a sink and faucet. Home Advisor gave me a the opportunity to check different contractors and they all gave us a quote for us to book the job. From reasonable to expensive but the rating on the contractors were spot on.

I made an appointment and immediately the professional reached out saying HomeAdvisor were only paying him $75 (compared to the $180 I was being charged) and he wasn't coming out for that little. He continued to message me saying if I cancelled the appointment and paid him direct he'd do it cheaper than Homeadvisor were charging me. He then continued messaging me urging me to cancel the appointment. Tried to speak to a Homeadvisor rep through the chat service just now, and he disconnected on me while I was still trying to ask questions. I'll find other ways to find a handyman - got to be better than this nightmare of an experience.

Replace a hole in the wall. Knew just how to replace drywall and supported on all 4 sides so someone could put up a picture in that place, and matched the knockdown pattern so cannot know where it was. I had agreed to paint and was able to match perfectly.

I signed up with HomeAdvisor as a contractor about a year ago. Worse decision for my business I have ever made. They charged me as much as $600-$1000 in one week for leads that I didn’t even run. After canceling my account I received calls from pushy sales reps every single week to re join. One whole year later they randomly charged me $15 and then a day later $80. They will not refund me my money for a mistake that they made! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CARD INFO!

Tree Service. Have used Home Advisor before, good experience. Had about six or so contractors call me within an hour or so. All were professional over the phone. Some gave instant quotes based on the job and others physically came to our property and quoted us.

I was looking for a local contractor, but before I even finished typing my request I started getting calls from contractors several cities away who sounded desperate for work. One wasn't even licensed or insured, one didn't follow social distancing or wear a face mask making me feel very uncomfortable, and when two from the same company showed up together they tried to up-sell me on re-plumbing instead of a repair. I'm very disappointed with Homeadvisor because they didn't properly vetted their recommendations - too many unscrupulous people called me!

Mr. **, installed a UV light with an air cleaner. He repaired several areas which were leaking the AC air into the attic. He changed the electrical line that carries the charge to the AC which was missing the outer protection cover to prevent it from creating a fire or explosion due to metal touching electrical wires. Mr. ** was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable, he made recommendations which saved me money.

When the first company I chose failed to contact me regarding scheduling, I reported this to HomeAdvisor. The agent expressed concern, made arrangements to refund my deposit, and allowed me to make another selection. The only drawback was that the agent I spoke with had a serious language problem. It was very hard to understand him, but he apparently knew what he was doing.

The biggest issue was the professional sent to do the roof repairs was a painter. The materials he used, based on recommendations from the store, were not sufficient so it had to be redone by another firm. In essence, we paid twice for the same work.

I paid $100.00 to HomeAdvisor to be set up with a contractor to build a wood fence. They gave me an estimated price that was just below $1000.00. The contractor they sent out quoted me almost 2 1/2 times the original price. I went back to HomeAdvisor and after talking to several different departments, I was told that they would find a new contractor closer to the original price. That was almost a month ago. I have sent several emails, none of which have been returned. I have contacted my bank and disputed the $100.00 charge since they haven't provided anything and they won't refund my money. Terrible, awful company. Will NEVER use again!! Stay away!!

The website is not user friendly, Angie's List is far more straightforward. For example, the HomeAdvisor site leads one to believe you have to pay for a set number of hours. When you first start responding to the questions, it does not allow you to state that you are trying to simply get a washer repaired. HomeAdvisor team - try logging in and trying what I outlined above.

I called Home Advisor to have a ceiling repair that was water damaged. I got a quote, paid for it and made an appointment. The contractor showed up and asked where the materials were. I told them that I had no idea what he was talking about. I suggested that he go buy what he needs and I would reimburse him but he said he couldn't because he only had a car. In addition he said that he did not do wood work in case the wood in the ceiling had to be replaced.

I called him in an evening, and he showed up on time next day. He was able to install the water heater within two hours. He gave us reasonable price and helped to pick up the water heater which we bought from different place without charging extra cost.

In my short experience in working with HomeAdvisor, I received 15 leads, 12 of which didn't have voicemails set up; not even automated. No returned calls or emails from "leads". This is not just a coincidence. This feels fraudulent. They sell leads for $110.00 each and sell that same lead to at least three other contractors. Cheating contractors during a COVID-19 pandemic is LOW. BTW, the leads they forward are from coded #'s, not the actual clients contact #.
