HomeAdvisor put me in touch with Affordable Electric here in Fishers, Indiana. ** arrived within 2 hrs and was able to accurately troubleshoot and repair the problem within 2 hrs. He described everything to me as he performed the repairs. He did an expert job and charged a reasonable fee. I will call HomeAdvisor in the future for more recommendations.

Service was ok. Got emails asking about service. Follow-ups could be different. Could help owners and contractor better. Call me. I got ideas that will help all.

As long as HomeAdvisor gets people to answer the phone, I make money. But if I don't get somebody, that sucks. They're all right, all in all.

We needed emergency electrical and number found on the internet connected with HomeAdvisor and the representative went beyond 5 stars to help; steered us to the electrician who came early the next morning and solved all our problems and then some that had been a problem for 3 days. The contractors we hired for our kitchen remodel from HomeAdvisor were here working at the same time. Excellent businesses recommended which have been hard to find in my area in the past.

I've been with HomeAdvisor for a couple of years and everything has been good. They've been professional and I never had any issues. If I had any concerns, they addressed it immediately. It's been great and they've done well for me. It has its ups and downs but for the most part lately, it's been not as productive as I would have liked. But that's the way business is. I can convert some leads to a job and some were just kind of looking. The only downside that I see with HomeAdvisor is, of course, I pay for the membership. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend them.

I have used Home Advisor for a few different projects now. I like the way I can tailor it to my needs and quickly get a list of pros. I feel very strongly about hiring local people, who really want and need the work. So far all my "hires" have been successful.

In the past year, I have turned to HomeAdvisor for many reasons: sprinkler repair, air conditioning service and repair, appliance repair, tree service, lawn service, electrician, to name a few. Every single time I have found very professional companies to respond to my request and have been very happy with the results. I would highly recommend HomeAdvisor.

HomeAdvisor gave me the names of three companies in my area with reviews from people that had used them in the past. I interviewed and received estimates for two of them and chose the one that I felt was able to do what I wanted when I wanted it done. I was extremely please with both companies and would recommend others to use HomeAdvisor's service.

Tree work. This was my first experience with HomeAdvisor and it will not be my last.

While online searching for information on water heater installation I saw the ad for HomeAdvisor. I decided to take a chance and submitted my information and needs to them and within a half an hour I had two different plumbers calling me with estimates. I'm so happy I took a chance on HomeAdvisor and will use them again!

The site is buggy. Things don't work smoothly and sometimes the program jumps around when I have not clicked on anything.

I needed a Window person to change all the latches on the windows throughout my house. I put in the request and received numerous "Thank Yous" from HomeAdvisor telling me they were working on my request and urging me to consider other projects. I went online on my own and found a good company to do the work for me. I tried returning one of HomeAdvisor's "Thank You" notes telling them to forget it - I had found my own person and received another Thank You. This site is a ripoff and I am sure prices are inflated to give HomeAdvisor some reward for finding the client. I did try to find one of the companies on their list in the Yellow Pages.....didn't exist. So, they protect themselves by using pseudonyms online. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Things have been good with HomeAdvisor so far, but prices have been going up since I joined. Two years before, when I first joined, they said that I was only going to be charged $9.99 per lead no matter what and I think now there's a monthly fee. A lot of times I'll get leads and I call back, but no one ever answers. They're dead leads but I still get charged up to $20. They say there's nothing people can do about it, nothing they refund so sometimes I wonder if it's actually HomeAdvisor that's generating those leads just to make more money, 'cause there's no way to actually trace them. Still HomeAdvisor's effect on my business has been pretty good. Also whenever I talk to anyone of their reps, they seem nice.

I am happy with the work the company did for me. HomeAdvisor is a great feature, fast, very helpful. My request was specific but some companies do not read it- they contacted me with different work. I'd use HomeAdvisor again and again. Saves you time and frustration with search on the Internet and telephone when doing own search.

The person I found through HomeAdvisor was professional, detailed, and did a 5 star job for a one time cleaning of an empty apartment. I will definitely go through HomeAdvisor if I need someone to do a specific job

HomeAdvisor, it's the principle here. As a contractor I couldn't find myself on their website after paying to be there. I received 70% bogus leads. Didn't want the service and was taunted by the NO REFUND POLICY. Damn at least pro-rate your questionable service when some one wants to opt out. I filed a claim with my credit card company and got my money back then they tried to send me to collections. Because I value my excellent credit I called them to see what I could to stop them. There was absolutely nothing they could do for me. So I agreed to go back and they gave me five free leads. 4 of 5 leads were people NOT seriously looking for an electrician. This struggle I'm having is for $300.00 and what that $300.00 is for is an online ad that can easily be taken down and my money pro- rated. Like I said, it's the principle. I won't even get started on their lead system.

The main reason I used HomeAdvisor is because it's free. Also, this site is so much easier to look through than trying to find someone in the phone book and you can't read customer reviews in the yellow pages.

He did an excellent job repairing the cracks and matching the stucco. I highly recommend him.

Bernardelli Construction. I called Mr. Bernardelli in early March and met with him. He gave me a fair estimate of $2,500 to remove an archway and install a 13 foot beam. Mr. Bernardelli said it would take a day and a half. We scheduled the work for March 26th. Mr. Bernardelli showed up with one other person and they worked for about an hour and a half. All they did was open one side of the wall to see what was there. Mr. Bernardelli asked for half of the money that day. He said he had told me I would have to pay half on the first day. ($1250 for 1.5 hours work) I said that I did not recall any such request but I paid him to get the work finished the next day. Mr. Bernardelli did not show up the next day, but did call after the time he was to be there. He said he would be there and finish up the next day. He did show up the next day, but did not complete the work. He did although ask for the remaining payment of $1250 to pay his workers.

We offer residential service plumbing, sewer repair and replacement, general fixes, water service, drain work, fixture replacement, water and waste line replacement. We can do some construction repair and remodeling but that's not really something that we focus on. We've been with Home Advisor since 2010 and their reps are always friendly, knowledgeable, professional. We've had a fair amount of success with them and get quite a few leads from them. We ended up converting quite a few of the leads into jobs.

We selected Paving and Seal Pro because ** honestly evaluated the condition of the driveway and would only bid on quality work. Our driveway is a little more than 9,000 square feet. There were extensive cracks in the asphalt and variation in level that have occurred due to the age of the driveway. We also have an issue with drainage. I asked 5 contractors to evaluate the job and propose bids based on their expertise. I wanted their recommendation on what should be done and prices for different surfaces. We chose to have an overlay of hot mix Asphalt. The bid by Paving and Seal Pro was competitive giving good value for quality work.

We recently needed to hire people for 2 separate jobs: an appliance repair and a home appraisal. In both instances, we found contacts on the recommended list and were very pleased with the service they provided.

I was able to find and work with ** at Coulee Region Construction. Could not have been happier. Their work is excellent and he did a lot of the leg work with the insurance company and the building permits. Highly recommend you contact them for any of your home construction needs.

Installation for emergency situations. I had purchased a generator that needed wiring done to run directly to the house. THEY MADE IT POSSIBLE! I could live comfortably at home now thanks to "Anytime Electric." They are the best! ;)

I would recommend using HomeAdvisor. This is the best way to get accurate feedback on contractors due to customer reviews.

I needed some electrical work done in my house and HomeAdvisor gave me several contractors to bid on my job. The contractor I chose was outstanding and I would definitely use HomeAdvisor again for any projects that I might have.

Carpet Cleaning. I looked at the reviews to make my decision. This site is very easy to use.

Called on a Thursday, and they came out the following Wednesday. The delay in service is the only reason for not giving the company a 5. My tenants car was in the garage and they were unable to drive their car until the company came out to repair the coils on the garage door. They do warn you ahead of time of your expected bill which was very very nice. They were good at keeping you informed of any changes in price.

We do plumbing services. We've been a HomeAdvisor member for ten years here and probably about eleven years up north when I lived there. They seem to be great. Sometimes they slack a little when they get you to call. If I had one complaint, it was the way the calls are setup. A lot of homeowners are not sure when they're looking at that page. And once they push that button, then HomeAdvisor's sending the calls out to everybody. When a lot of times, they just want to know more information. They still have a few issues that need to be straightened out. Other than that, I really don't have much complaint about HomeAdvisor. They work really well.

It was a smooth experience, the follow-up was good and I'm very happy with everything. The hardest part of this was deciding what to do. I needed a home inspector. I found a company online through HomeAdvisor. When I called the number, I got a machine and left a message. Afterwards, a HomeAdvisor agent contacted me to see if I had been contacted by business of choice (which I did). I was quite impressed that at the level of human interaction and customer service I received through HomeAdvisor and will be using this service for any future needs I may have.

I've been a HomeAdvisor member for about four or five years now and I think their process is very efficient. Since joining, we have done sewer and drain cleaning, sewer replacement, as well as camera-related and handyman work. They're the only one that's really working and I'd recommend them.

I would advise everyone to keep away from Home-view Services /Albert Holmes, so you don'the have to go through the pain that we have been going through!!!

Discharge pipe was plugged with an unknown debris. Crew came in and used an electric snake to clean out the upper portion of PVC pipe. Pump had already been replaced by owner, as well as the pit cleaned out. Bottom section of PVC hard to get to since it had 2 90 deg. elbows to contend with and a snake is unable to make the 2 turns. Pump presently functioning and discharging water.

Refrigerator was warm, freezer worked fine. I selected a company from HomeAdvisor. The company came right over, gave a very reasonable estimate and completed the job within an hour and a half. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor in the future for all the type of work around the house that I cannot do myself.

I'd try calling a company highly rated by the BBB but they didn't come through so I turned to HomeAdvisor. I was able to find a landscaping professional that responded quickly and got the job done at a good price in a reasonable time frame. I found HomeAdvisor to be very easy to use and helpful in locating people who specialize in their trade. The reviews guided me to The Drywall Guys in Hemlock MI and I was very impressed with the results.

Signed up with them several years ago before the economy started coming back. They charge contractors per lead and it is tiered according to how big the job is and whether the people request your company personally (more expensive lead) or just ask for several random contractors. 6 out of 10 of the leads would not pan out. They either weren't ready to start, they were just in the "let's see how much it cost" stage or there was no answer and no return calls or worse, the numbers were not active/good.

Quick Way To Find Just The Help You're Looking For! Saves a lot of time when you're looking for someone to help with projects or labor. I really liked using it because it was fast and condensed several possibilities in a short amount of time. Plus I like being able to see what other people's experience has been.

** and crew wall tiled 2 bathrooms for me. Although the first one was wonderful, the guest bath did not turn out so well. Grout was uneven and bi-colored. We waited a few weeks to see if the bi color would change after completely drying. It didn't. Called **, who came out immediately to see the problem. ** agreed the work was not up to his standards and completely regrouted the guest bath. Our guest bath looks lovely now, just as nice as our master bath. ** was gracious and wonderful about the whole. What a pleasure to work with an honest contractor. Absolutely refreshing compared to our previous experience with others. Would recommend him any time.

I had an estimate from Home Depot to install an exterior door. I thought it was high and I didn't care much for the contractor. I decided to give this site a try. It came up with three nearby contractors. All three called me by the next day and they were all really pleasant. I ended up hiring one of them and got the job done for 250 dollars less.

After being stood by a roofing company and then having others be non-responsive, I tried Home Advisor. Best decision we ever made. The contractor got a hold of us quickly and the repairs were done at a very reasonable cost.

This is the first I have used HomeAdvisor. I would use them again. I did have a friend who had a bad experience with her contractor for a porch that gave me some hesitation. But I feel I researched my contractor well enough and trusted he would do a good job based on the reviews and the information on his website.

We love HomeAdvisor, we've been with them for two-and-a-half years. We make money from it even if some of the lead that they give us are wrong phone numbers. However, we can always call right away and let them know - I think they give you 30 days cancel on a lead that's not electrical for us. They call us whenever they have a lead or anything for us. We take care of the customers, they give us ratings, and we probably have about 90 ratings on the website. The sign-up process is really easy. I actually recommended a buddy of mine who's a plumber. He signed up and he loves it.

They were great. They recommended several companies with a rating. I used one of the companies they recommended and I am pleased with the service, the price, and the overall experience. The tech was knowledgeable and explained everything to my satisfaction. I would recommend HomeAdvisor to my friends and associates.

Great way to communicate and shop around, read reviews, get estimates. Allows you to feel you are making an informed decision about something you most likely know very little about. I will continue to use this site. Haven't had a bad experience yet.

While I only received one recommendation, the pros were very satisfactory. However, I question the validity of the HomeAdvisor site since I understand that the "pro" pay for listing, so it's really a marketing tool instead of a "home advisor" tool.

We were looking for general contractors to complete a major renovation on home we were purchasing. The contractors referred to us responded in a timely manner and provided detailed estimates for our project.

Used HomeAdvisor to research companies for Solar Panels and also for Window Replacement. Was able to interview several companies for each project and felt very comfortable with the people I talked to. I felt I could have gone with several of the companies listed here but went with the ones I thought were the best fit for me. I'm very pleased with the work that's been done and will be back when the next project pops up.

Well repair - They came quickly with the necessary parts and equipment. They were courteous and friendly. The price was very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

Bone-Dry was progressing very slowly (three weeks) and not even on the second floor yet. After talking to management, they had a team from Indianapolis that showed up and got right with it. They took less than four days (and that included taking much of the siding off from the previous worker). Once the out of state team showed up, work was done very satisfactorily and work area was cleaned up.

My experience with HomeAdvisor has been first rate. I'd readily go back to them for additional searches if I was in the need for professionals to hire.

** cleaned our riverfront rip rap and cleaned out a LARGE bed of poison ivy infested stella d'oro lilies. They edged the garden, cleaned up two huge truck loads of debris, including plastic bottles, styrofoam and huge branches that had washed up. They stood in water most of the day to complete the work. Additionally, ** cleaned all of the windows and screens inside and out in our house.

Called HomeAdvisor about someone they had listed on their site. They got the basic info from me to see if that company fit for what I needed and they did. They transferred me to them and by the end of the day the project was done. So easy. Love it.

Bathroom gut and remodel: Called three different contractors. One did not reply, one asked what our budget was and came back 20% higher, and the third we ultimately hired and he was great.

New roof - It only took about 2 hours or less and 4 companies called the house to set up times for the salesmen to contact me. All were very nice on the phone. Their salesmen were on time and seemed to know their job. The company I decided on showed up on the decided on day and did a good looking job.

I THOUGHT this site was amazing -- until the endless calls/emails started. The service I received was awesome. Contractors responded quickly and did great work. That's not the problem. The problem is the INCESSANT cold calls/email spam. It started a month or so after I requested a plumber. I now get about 20 of the same-looking spam advertisements for spa tubs, military loans, roofing, etc. every single day. I have also gotten about one cold call a week from construction companies asking if I need any work done.

Fact. As a contractor, HomeAdvisor did not work for me. I understood the terms set by HomeAdvisor and left on very good terms. I closed my account in December 2014. Today May 16, 2016, HomeAdvisor took the monthly charge out of my account that I was in the process of closing. $29.00 fee and I was hit with an overdraft. Called HomeAdvisor, they did not want to talk to me. Will be filing a complaint with Denver BBB.

I used HomeAdvisor to find a vendor for an AC unit inspection. They recommended a good vendor and I ultimately ended up buying an AC and Furnace from that vendor. I have used HomeAdvisor on numerous home projects and I have been happy with the results every time. I highly recommend using this site and their recommended vendors.

I've NEVER had such a quick response -- ever! I submitted my request and I received a call from ** at Colepepper Plumbing less than 3 minutes after I submitted my request!! He was able to come to our house a couple of hours later. He found the problem and repaired it the same day! He cleaned up everything and guaranteed his work for a year. What more could you ask for?

It was fine once they got there but they confirmed 3 times and seemed to forget to show up when scheduled. The service was excellent in the end.

I want to say that the people at Gutter Guy did a super job on the installation of our new 6" gutters. They were professional in every way. Job was done as they said and on time. I would recommend this company to anyone who is in the market to have new guttering installed.

HA web site was easy to negotiate. I was contacted within minutes after completing my request for service.

I had several small home maintenance tasks needing to be done along with removal of one tree. I was contacted within 24 hours of my requests for estimates. Both service providers came to my home the next day, and both provided what I thought were very fair and reasonable costs estimates for the tasks I needed done. The first task was to get the tree removed since it's overhang was the reason the other repairs were needed. Tree was removed as agreed upon. Area cleared of debris and hauled away. I was completely satisfied with the work done.

I have tried a number of site that claim to help find professionals or services for the home. Home Advisor has been the best of them so far. Not all of their recommended professionals respond, but I have never failed to find at least one of their initial recommendations that met my needs. It is still up to me to make sure we match on intent, but if you do your homework - this site helps you find people who can help you.

I went to HomeAdvisor and the window replacement person called ME!! Showed up, gave me a very fair estimate that I checked out with others as fair and finished the job. Just like it "should" be. I had 2 other estimates and went with Quality construction. His pricing was just right. ** worked quickly, neatly and expertly and the roof looks great. He explained what he needed to do and why he chose the products used. He was respectful of me and my home.

At the end of his inspection, he provided a written estimate of the cost of making the needed repairs her identified. Since the estimated cost of the repairs is much much higher than I expected, I will be soliciting additional estimates.

Oil Tank Removal - Tanks Alot. I contacted the company by email on a Sunday. They replied on Monday to set up an appointment. They told me up front what the cost would be. We agreed to removal on Friday which I thought was really fast. They actually called on Thursday to ask if they could come on Thursday instead since they were in the area. They came, were extremely polite and efficient, and the tank was removed to my delight. I surely would recommend them to my friends.

This company flew under the radar. I would not recommend them to no-one. I contacted this company on 4-14-15. Spoke to the owner. Informed him about the works I needed. On 4-1-15, his worker ** came to my home. I showed ** what I needed. ** started stating prices. I call the owner and stated why am I being quoted prices when you did not said no fee. I had to phone speaker so ** could hear his answer to me. He stated no charge unless his man do some work. Quotes was given - ** was to return Monday. Monday came, No **. I did not feel comfortable to go forward, so I cancel the work order.

Precision Pressure Washing called me a few minutes after you told me someone will call. They gave me an accurate quote on the phone. They called the night before to confirm the appointment. They called this morning to tell me that they were on the way. They arrived on-time and completed the project today. The house looks like it did when it was built! Great job and hope to use them again next year!

Received three calls, two contractors made visits, we never heard from one of the contractors. We accepted the bid of the only contractor that gave us a price. Work has been completed with good results, we are pleased. I hope next time we get more interest from contractors and at least three bids.

Attention was prompt. I only live 3 miles from office... Mechanic found float stuck, not calling for water to cooler. Replaced an old belt. Total time 30 minutes. Called office for itemized bill. No bill!! Two days previous was quoted by company official max estimate of $300 if water pump needed replacement. I have made this repair myself before, but could not now because I have vertigo, and it's dangerous to go on roof when in this condition. Highly overcharged, cannot go to small claims without itemized bill.

Contract was not specific regarding what ducts were to be cleaned. Had issues with "return ducts" costing an additional $179.00. Dryer vent also has issues costing me another $88.00. And finally a furnace blower was dusty. Wanted $135 to clean this, negotiated this down to $80. All in all the $99.00 deal cost me around $400.00. Concerned that most of these deals will end up costing more?

Yes Sir carpet cleaning stretched my carpet and did a horrible job! They made cuts that did not bind back together and other cuts were cut too short and the patch work was terrible. I call them back several times and they said, "Too bad", not going to do anything about it!! So if I ever used your service again, I would be real cautious because you are not getting good information on this company. The complaints I found online after the fact were bad. So I suggest you interview better.

Top Tier construction was extremely professional. They performed above and beyond my expectations. Many times, they went above and beyond assisting with other parts of the remodel. I would recommend Top Tier for any construction project. I couldn't have found a better company to do my remodel project.

Absolutely Terrible Work. We had to finish it ourselves. He did not finish the work. We had to repaint walls and finish some of them. He dumped the leftover paint behind the bushes in our front yard. We submitted the review when he started but then when he finished bad, we could not change the review.

He was quick to respond, accommodating in finding a mutually acceptable date and very capable in solving my problem. This is the electrician I will call for all future issues and I recommend him with no reservations whatsoever.

The people sent by the moving company were very good but the quote on time was way off; it cost us quite a bit more. They over-wrapped everything, but nothing was damaged. Our move was from a one level home to a bottom level apartment so the time involved should have been shorter. We still recommend this company.

Not crazy about it so far. Seems like 50% the leads are for SMALL jobs, 25% are way too big and 25% don't respond. Also about half the leads are outside the area I agreed to so I'm wasting a lot of time declining those leads. Maybe I'm not using the site properly but so far it's costing me much more than I'm making.

Problem with freezing pipes in outside wall - We weren't sure about what to do - some people told us to get insulation added to the outside wall by the pipes, so we called two insulation specialists from HomeAdvisor. They were both very helpful. They both said they were not certain that just adding insulation would totally resolve the problem so we are going to call in some plumbers to get their suggestions.
