Filled out the questions and Premier Roofing called me the next morning. They fixed the leaks in the roof. Very pleased and would recommend the company. Happy with the process. The only issue was recommending a company with no emergencies services or availability. That was the only other choice that I got besides Premier Roofing.

Very happy with the response from HomeAdvisor. 3 companies were referred. I found HomeAdvisor online, submitted the required information and had 3 companies call within 24 hrs. I hired the first person after talking to the others and the job was done 5 days later.

Both companies I used for my projects were responsible and efficient. Getting them from HomeAdvisor was an easy way to contact companies in my area. I loved using the site. It was simple and easy. I highly recommend HomeAdvisor.

So far 3 rats caught in the traps, waiting to see if there are more. Project not finished yet, but so far Mike is on the job. Originally we found what appeared to be piles of insulation falling down from the ceiling vents. When my AC man came for servicing he checked for me, and told me there was a hole chewed in the fiberglass part of the vent pipe, and pieces of insulation strewn about. That was a clue for sure that I had unwanted visitors in my attic...

On the first visit he quickly identified the problem. I had to buy a new faucet and then he returned to install it. He checked our toilet for a leak, made sure there was nothing happening in the walls then revealed and grouted. Very neat and got right to the project. Very satisfied.

The quotes were widely different, so you need to go with your gut on how much time is put into these quotes. I also did not get more than two from HomeAdvisor and the other was from Home Depot. I did use one from HomeAdvisor for his detailed measuring and knowledgeable comments.

The recommending was for suitable people to fix several of my glass sliding doors & replacing locks. This was done very quickly, much to our satisfaction. Would have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend HomeAdvisor to assist you finding good reliable work suppliers!!

Breaker repair. Due to bad weather and high winds a breaker in electrical box shorted out from rain water. Hooked up new wire and use a existing (spare) breaker to our Refrigerator and kitchen plugs working without any loss of Foods. Etc. Happy with his skill...

So far I have hired 2 people from HomeAdvisors. Both of which were excellent. I will always go here first to look for a person to hire for a project or repair. I had a double window pane repaired & I had a kitchen drawer repaired.

Had a problem with leaking around 2nd story fireplace due to rotting wood trim. Leo came out right away and was able to caulk the spaces that were leaking into the house. He will come back when storms pass and replace trim and sides of fireplace where water was coming in.

The few times I have requested work I have found that too many people are given the lead... this leaves me with too many appointments for estimates thus delaying my project and wasting lots of people's time. Have also had calls from related trades when I wanted a specific trade or service.

Our kitchen sink would not drain, so GoGoo Rooter - service rep used a snake to clear the clogged. The job was done within a hour of his arrival. We were very happy with the results. HomeAdvisor is a great free service.

I recently joined HomeAdvisor as a contractor and have found that the service level provide to contractors is minimal when charged for bad client information provided on contractor leads. Such as wrong numbers in order to contact customers. I as a contractor am charged for example $66.00 for each of these bad leads. Service from HomeAdvisor for contractors is bad... which will eventually transmute to the customer requesting services. Set membership with Kyle ** who no longer answers 877-800-3177, ext **. I also talked to J ** 303-963-8605 who was rude when I asked for refunds on bad leads. There is no control of lead information or verified by HomeAdvisor before giving such leads. I am in the process of canceling this program. HomeAdvisor needs to verify lead information.

Have done a few projects (one major) with the help of HomeAdvisor, and positive results on each of them. The major project was making the decision on the type of whole-house generator to install, and HomeAdvisor provided me with the names of four contractors. Interviewed them all, and the one I chose did a GREAT job. HomeAdvisor is definitely a time saver!

The recommended electrician was readily available. He found the source of the problem and got it fixed with expertise. He gave me helpful recommendations for the replacement fixtures. He did a great job with the installation! I trust HomeAdvisor because of the positive experience.

Ceiling paint project - Received a call from contractor within 10 minutes of requesting quotes. The contractor quote was acceptable and he said he could be here at 9:30 am Friday. The work was completed Friday as promised and I was extremely pleased with Dan The Handyman.

Repaired my overhead kitchen light fixture. Responded to the HomeAdvisor request in less than 10 minutes and was at my house in less than half an hour. He replaced the ballasts and the fluorescent tubes in about 40 minutes. Very pleased with the speed of his response and the quality of his work.

Sealing drywall nails had popped off and needed to be resecured to frame and dry walled and repainted. The team was very professional in their repair and completed the job as promised. Remove and replace a ceiling fan, install the old fan in another room and run wire to the location, replace a ceiling fixture. High ceilings throughout with tall ladders required. All turned about perfectly, cleans up and disposed all trash. Will call them next time I need electrical work.

Our water heater was on its last legs and we were damn near exhausted from interviewing plumbers, none of which we felt we could trust or felt the need to do business with right away. The biggest frustration came from dealing with Home Depot as they kept referring us to a vendor of theirs who no longer did Home Depot installs. This was demoralizing. We wanted to go with a company we knew and trusted (Home Depot) but Home Depot kept referring us to a vendor who no longer did business with Home Depot! WTF!!! I accidentally came across HomeAdvisor and within a few minutes of reading customer reviews we found a master plumber who answered his phone within 3 rings! After chatting a few moments he said he could have us squared away with the water heater we wanted THAT SAME DAY! I actually went with the first company because it is the one I originally picked. The problem with HomeAdvisor is there is no way to stop all the calls from coming. Some of these folks really need to check their watches before calling someone to see if they want another estimate plus also stating negatives on other companies’ procedures.

All weather unit replacement - The response time was immediate and several choices available. Was able to get quotes... ended up using two companies for different issues. One took care of emergency and another gave a more reasonable quote to replace the unit, and offered financing.

Electrical fuse box required rewiring for a 3 family home. 1st floor power source was inadvertently directed to 2nd floor and when the second floor tenants' electricity was cut off the 1st floor lost power. Power source rewired. 1st floor has power... No more problem.

High winds blew off several shingles from my roof. R&C came out and repaired them for me. Very friendly and attentive to the task at hand. After evaluating the damage, he was able to give me a very reasonable estimate, which was what we could afford. Although it was very treacherous with the high winds, he went up on the roof and completed the repairs. Did a great job.

Spent 10 minutes on HomeAdvisor looking for someone to clear out a clog and reached out to 2 companies. One of the 2 companies contacted us within 5 minutes of the request, had someone out to our house 20 minutes after the call and had our drain cleared about 20 minutes after their arrival. The price was fair and the work was professional and timely. I would give them a call first if we ever need someone to come out and help us with drain issue again.

I made my own contacts based on ranking, reviews, licensing etc available on HA. In another case the provider I wanted to contact was no longer taking jobs and the HA rep helped me find additional contractors. I'll continue to use them as a resource for future needs on the property. In general word of mouth is great but when you're new to an area this can be tricky. HA makes beginning this process easier and trustworthy.

I found a plumber and went through the process to make an appointment. I received a call the following day from HA saying that because HA was unable to confirm the appt., it was cancelled. Soon afterward, the plumber called me and we set up an appointment. I like that HA has pros who have been reviewed by other customers. We have use two pros from your site. Concrete tile roof leak in a valley over a covered porch. Gary and his crew stripped off the concrete tile. Removed old wood batting and tar paper. Laced in new tar paper, valley pan and batting. Replaced tile roof. They used a concrete saw to cut the tiles lining the valley pan and clearance the valley seam with a 4" gap to avoid debris build up that caused all this problem in the first place.

Received high quote from property manager for our rental property in Florida. HomeAdvisor provided two 5-star companies who were very responsive and informative. We hired one of the companies, had a great experience, and paid $1,500 less than the property manager said it would cost.

While I like the concept and having companies call me is a good idea, it has never worked in reality. I finally had to call both companies and only one of the two called me back. Luckily the one that did was very fast, professional, and was a great value for the price paid.

They have access to hundreds of service providers which makes it very easy to find what is needed to complete a wide range of projects. It's easy to access information and navigate their website. They are quick to respond and so are the providers they recommend. I like the fact that they screen service providers and show comparisons in quality ratings and costs. If something goes wrong with a service provider, they provide the extra comfort of knowing that there is someone specific to whom we can report unacceptable work or events. We plan to use them time and time again.

Painting the interior of a home - I was pleased with the promptness of contractors contacting me from HomeAdvisor. I chose 4 to work with and was able to make fast appointments for the estimate on the work. All 4 were very professional and thorough. Three of the bids were very close in price with the 4 significantly higher than the others. It was hard to know exactly who to choose since most of them were just names from HomeAdvisor and not anyone I had heard of or worked with previously. But I wanted to trust HomeAdvisor and follow through with the reviews I had read.

I needed a plumber right away if possible. They sent me the best! Brad with John's plumbing came on short notice. He removed the ancient water heater that was in the garage. This made it possible for water damage repair work to occur. He returned the following day in a timely manner to install a new top-of-the-line water heater.

Existing cabinets were painted, using two layers of paint and a process to result in a distressed look. Three coats of lacquer were applied to seal the finish. Hardware was added during the process. The work was done on time and as promised.

I used homeadvisor.com to take out the hassle of interviewing contractors and getting bids. I went through HomeAdvisor to get a contractor to replace my deck. It was going to be permitted and built to code. I got a deck with no stairs which left my tenants no way to get in and out of their home. One of the tenants is pregnant. They went nearly a month without stairs. Throughout about 10 weeks, I found out that permits were not pulled, the contractor was not licensed, they damaged my property, and I had to pay another company to tear down the deck that was previously built. The company was Precision Handyman Services. I should have taken the time to find contractors on my own than to rely on HomeAdvisor to screen professionals. This all escalated to police reports, credit card and bank disputes, with me losing hundreds of hours of my own time along with over 11K in damages. It's going to a small claims court.

Requested a quote to paint and repair and spray popcorn ceiling, all work was completed when we were out of town, all furniture was moved and put back without any of our effort. He was able to perform the work very timely and completed on time. He has an open phone line to call if we were not satisfied but we did not have to call his team back out after they completed the work. I never saw the workers so can't comment on their looks and interaction.
