I have never used HomeAdvisor before but was very happy with the fast service. They provided the names of 3 very good companies who also were very prompt in getting back to me. Was very happy with the experience. I will use HomeAdvisor again.

HomeAdvisor invited my business and I sign up. It was a mistake for me. If you a business owner, think about before you sign in. You will receive leads with about 80% inactive and not responsive of them. It is free for consumer to make a request, but very big charges will wait for you every week and the membership fee too. They want you to pay for all 100% they sent to you and every week they will use your amount set limit to the limit. For my leads in counter top business they charge in between $45-64 per lead and about $32 for tile installation. And only 2 of 10 answer the phone for you to bring your bid. When you call to HomeAdvisor, with request for refund, then you understand who is hungry for the $. And they don't want let you go. Be aware before sign in. My experience was just bad and we still in process of legal separation.

HomeAdvisor has been a wonderful resource to me both at home and work. I have used their services over three times. The providers have been excellent, professional, and very professional. The price quotes have been realistic and reasonable. Will definitely call again.

Furnace quit and I called HomeAdvisor and they were able to connect me right away. Service was provided quickly, professionally, and efficiently. Jim even asked about my military experience and was able to offer a discount. The service was excellent.

Changing Electric Range to Gas Range had to have a gas line pulled from a current gas meter. Work involved the technician to pull a line and pull it from the basement to the kitchen on the main floor. Technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. Took a few hours to do all the work. Work was neat and clean.

At one point I contacted the website because a contractor had not given me an estimate and I knew there was precious time left to get this done before the weather made it impossible to complete. The contractor had not only not given me the estimate on time but also had not called to say why he was unable to give me the timely estimate. The website tried to contact the contractor and also showed me how to use the website to get this information myself.

Plumber (Tom **) came to our house as scheduled. Mr. ** was professional and courteous. He went the extra mile to make sure things were working properly! He contacted us to make sure that faucet was not still dripping. Thank you.

We were very pleased to find Silver Electric LLC on HomeAdvisor. We didn't know any electricians in the area but were very please to have HomeAdvisor provide qualified professionals to complete our job. We plan on using HomeAdvisor for our future home repair projects.

I had a very small project and these are very often hard to address just because of that. I decided to try this service. I had several return calls within a day or two. The gentleman I choice gave me a fair estimate and completed the job in less than 1 hr. Independent general handymen are almost impossible to find, and the question becomes "how skilled" are they and are they trustworthy. With this service I had references to pursue which gave me more confidence.

HomeAdvisor does a good job of getting clients and contractors in contact with each other. I was contacted promptly by most of the contractors and they all tried to be helpful in answer my questions and giving estimates. All the contractors acted professionally and gave honest assessments of the work to be done.

Was able to find a handyman immediately to do the work I needed. Entered my contact information and was called back within 5 min by a company to do the job. They came out that afternoon and did the work.

HomeAdvisor hooked me up with AIRE by Veterans, a company specializing in cleaning air ducts. They provided me with an extremely reasonable quote; and were very professional and conscientious workers. If I'd not found them through HomeAdvisor, I would have ended up overpaying with a different company.

Overall Good experience, finding a quality professional, but it comes at an increased cost. Next time I will contact the business directly. Good service if you're new to an area and have no idea who is a reputable business. HomeAdvisor description is too long.

Used another reference site in the past and when the job was unsatisfactory had zero assistance from the provider. Tried HomeAdvisor and was very happy with an exterior house painter. Ricky and his crew did a great job, on time and budget. Was so happy I hired him to do some inside work. Again success. Next call was for a roofing contractor. Joel and his staff again showed up on time and finished quickly and for the quoted price. Next call was for landscape work. Larry and Angela quickly responded and quoted. I upgraded the job to about 4 times the original plan because I liked their plan much better than mine. Was very happy with the work. So far you are batting a thousand. Just requested a referral on heating upgrade/repair.

Ron did a great job! I Love my floors! He was hard working and a very nice guy. I would hire him again. He went the extra mile to do an excellent job! I trusted his opinions on color and type of products used. He was very knowledgeable and I knew my floors were in good hands.

I was able to quickly find an electrician nearby for my project using HomeAdvisor. Very pleased with the responsiveness of this service. The work was completed in a timely manner, and the contractor was competent and familiar with the exhaust fan to be installed.

Excellent first time experience with a contractor/professional on HomeAdvisor. A little disappointed that only one request for quote responded quickly but very happy with the result from the one that did. Downloaded the app also since I may be reaching out to other contractors for home improvement work.

Needed a mason that had experience building and repairing a stone wall which was hit by a truck. After consulting with HomeAdvisor, I was very quickly contacted by four companies. Two came out immediately to give me quotes and I was able to select one the same day and the job was done in the next three days. Very happy with HomeAdvisor's help.

Saw HomeAdvisor and got several immediate contractors, chose one and had an immediate response, estimate and scheduled the work the next day. Very happy with HomeAdvisor and the contractor I hired.

My experience with HomeAdvisor for blown-in attic insulation was a positive one. I found a lot of information online through their website that helped me during the interview process. I do think the pricing has to be updated--it's tailored toward fiberglass, but two of the three companies I interviewed use cellulose.

Very friendly crew. They trimmed a very large oak tree that completely covers my patio and did an excellent job. They also painted my patio with a cement product that made it look brand new, and planted some seasonal color in flower beds. They did not try to oversell, even suggested to wait to spring to do anything else until winter is over. I highly recommend them.

The Brother's did their best work on the trim and insulation but had some trouble with the adjustments of screen and doors. They were on time except when caught up in rush hour traffic. They worked 15 hours on project to get the job done as well as they could. Chris was especially helpful.

HomeAdvisor gave me three options. I selected Innovative Solutions. My phone rang no more than two minutes after my selection. It was Mr. Adam ** of Innovative Solutions confirming my requested appointment. Mr. ** called to tell me he had the water tank and would arrive at the appointed time. He did come on time and replaced my hot water tank.

The place was painted, the plumber came in for vanity/toilet replacement, an electrician came in to change fixtures/light switches, a carpenter came in to plaster and a glass person repaired the rollers on the patio door... HomeAdvisor provided multiple, local businesses to contact for our project, immediately online. We had to wait to continue the process for a few days and so, received a phone call from a very friendly (and NOT pushy) rep to follow-up on what we would like to do (as in, were we just looking, or interested in moving forward?), and per that conversation, I was emailed the direct phone numbers (instead of the toll free ones, from the online info). Based on the businesses that were provided to us, we have now completed our project within 3 weeks of getting quotes from those businesses with complete satisfaction.

The quote was given within two days and the work was completed within ten days. Since mine was a relatively small job they fit it in when they had time. I was not home but came back to a completed job. The work was exactly as I wanted it. They even cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to friends.

Greg's Appliance Repair was recommended for my door latch problem with my KitchenAid dishwasher. I contacted Greg via email with a detailed description of the problem and he found the required part in stock and was at my home within an hour to install it. The dishwasher door has never closed better. The latch mechanism was broken probably from several years of having to really push hard on the door to get it closed. Greg discovered to factory failed to install two screws. The door has never closed so easy since we've owned the dishwasher.

Service was excellent, just get a few estimates. The roof specialist was professional and friendly and completed work quickly. His price was reasonable and I would definitely use his services in the future. I would highly recommend his services as this was the first time I used HA to find a professional.

Had a bad experience with a competitor and was a little desperate. Reached out to HomeAdvisor but didn't know how the request/response worked. Was surprised but pleased when the vendor reached out to me. So glad that the project was done timely and on budget.

I was generally browsing around the internet searching for standby generator types, costs and contractors. One of the random like was HomeAdvisor. I pursued the link, used the website's contractor and project type research. I ended up with two quotes and followed through with one of them. The entire process was easy to use and produce the desired result. The process was great!

We spent close to $2000 for being a HomeAdvisor Contractor. Most of the Leads never returned phone calls, some were other contractors trying to get our pricing, and the rest were bad numbers or people hang up on us. Out of 20 plus Leads, not one job was won, and we are the lowest contractors around and very professional. There is no way of telling if they are real Leads or HA just racking up money for themselves. Their prices are ridiculous, up to $90+ for some leads and it is people just playing around on the internet. I do not recommend them at all!

Called three different people. One wanted a fee of $75.00 to come out. I declined the offer. Second one wouldn't listen to what I wanted, had her own ideas and then said there was a minimum of $2,500.00 to $3,000. I didn't want to spend that much and she was not a person I could work with. Third person, Greg **, was wonderful and all worked out well.

Details about contractors are helpful but more information would be ideal. An expansion of industries would also be nice, such as auto mechanics.

I had to call a Saybrook landscaper whom I had inherited from my mother several times to do the work and they took my calls but were slow and non-forthcoming in some of the work. They had the audacity to charge for calls saying they were "consultation calls", which the calls were not. This is outrageous. I will never hire them again.
