I was a little leary of hiring a company of whom I knew nothing or anyone who had hired them. However, upon the initial phone conversation and meeting, we were confident that this was the company we would hire. They delivered exactly what we had discussed and warned us of possible issues that they might encounter once they were into the project.

The list of companies is great and so far their service has been good. Still 2 more projects to go. The price estimation did not included my items so could not estimate but the price comparison helped me. Looks like mails sent by the pros to my yahoo account are not reaching.

I have hired several contractors through HomeAdvisor and with the exception of one contractor I have been very pleased and would, without hesitation, recommend. HomeAdvisor is always available and affords multiple contractor leads to select from who are very talented people and know their trade.

Needed a local roofer that had credentials in community. Found one that had local positive reviews. Owner called prior to appointment and showed for appointment as promised. Workers were courteous and cleaned up after job. Job was completed ahead of schedule.

Through HomeAdvisor I found Kooline Plumbing. They came the day I called and I had a new hot water heater installed the next day, on a Saturday!!! Excellent job, on a weekend, and a decent price. What could be better?

Technician was on time, diagnosed the problem after checking out the ice maker. He was courteous in his explanation and offered suggestions to fix the problem. His manner was courteous, and from his explanation, he knew what he was talking about. He was on time, did the work, and cleaned up afterward. The cost was within normal limits of other companies. I would recommend Appliance Medic to others.

HomeAdvisor offered several contractors. I choose the first contractor on the list and was connected while I was still on the website. The contractor offered a HomeAdvisor discount but more importantly provided same day quote. I engaged the contractor on the spot and had the replacement equipment installed within hours. I was totally satisfied. This is my 3rd project through HomeAdvisor. I've got a couple more in the near future and will definitely start with contacting HomeAdvisor.

8 windows (3 making a bay). 6 double hung. Also 2 originally double hung made into one sliding window (kitchen)--also saved me money. Was more expensive than other co.s - but probably worth it. Demonstration/knowledge was much better. Installation was quick (one day). Windows custom made.

Our home was broken into over the Christmas holiday when we were out of town. I was looking for a window replacement company that would respond to my need right away. After calling 2 other companies, one was too busy and the other never called me back. I went through the HomeAdvisor portal to find another company. I was contacted by Clear Images immediately after hitting the "send" button to get a quote. Edwin came out the same day to measure the windows for replacement. He ordered them before the New Years weekend and they came in sooner than expected. So happy to have my home secure again after the theft!

I had a plumbing leak. Immediately thought I would try this for first time since I had little time. Website was easy to use and quick. Response callback was quick. The plumbing company was on the phone with me for maybe 2-3 min and jumped into the van to come out and take care of us. Got on site within 45 min and maybe 5-10 min later already identified source of problem, turned off water supply and resolved the issue. Took maybe 1 hour to re-plumb where a small hole appeared in copper.

Caliente Hot Water installed a new water heater. Great service. Very knowledgeable. Quick response time and installed new system as he explained the system to me when he finished. They removed the old equipment. This was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend.

Lets you read some reviews both good and bad for certain providers. The providers get charged for the referral even if they do not contact you I believe. Some do not contact you at all. Some jobs do not have any takers whatsoever and you typically might waste a few days on a job that needs done sooner rather than later.

Needed a filter installed on a wall. Easy to use. Received a phone response in minutes of completing online info. After completing the filter it was pointed out to me that my heat pump was not working properly which I knew that it was on its last leg. So they gave me a reasonable quote and I had them install a new split heat/air conditioning system installed.

This job was performed with the intention to save energy on a 40 year old home. Attic access had to be cut, windows sealed, exterior door frames reinsulated, insulation blown in up to R-49, radiant barrier installed on all attic rafters, and a solar powered attic fan with remote control monitoring system. The job was performed in 3 total days. The crews were excellent and very tidy. We were very pleased with the performance - the next month's energy bill will examine how well they did!

This company is tops as far as I am concerned and I took several business cards from him to pass to my neighbors and friends as it is rare to find quality and competent service like this these days. I will be contacting only this company in spring when I will have him return to do some outside plumbing work that I need to have done. We even discussed how that might be done before he left.

Vendors, (2), suggested by HomeAdvisor, both had very acceptable credentials and work history. Our vendor, Mike ** (Door Co.), was an exceptional craftsman and businessman. Even just before the busy holiday season, Mike was prompt, on time, and done, including a few "tweaks" and "adjustments" so often needed, and so seldom done by many installers. We would recommend him to a Friend without question.

Dryer was not heating properly, problem was resolved and tech was great and did a great job. Will use this company again and will refer them to my friends and family. Again awesome job and the service tech was very knowledgeable with the type of dryer I had.

I would recommend them for any project you may be starting. Mine was for a furnace fix. They were very knowledgeable as to other reviews about the company I was looking at and all their contact info and that they had openings for me to get them out and fix it that day. They even contacted the company with my info and my job both by phone and email. Love this extra help.

I was desperate to find someone to do a roof repair in Olympia. I had worked with multiple companies to get an estimate. I obtained four other estimates. One bid was over triple what Carpenter and Sons charged. One company committed to do the job, had it on their schedule. I assumed that they had done the job. I was awaiting the bill for this repair on our rental property. I got a call two weeks later from the tenants indicating the leak, which had “not” been repaired, had now caused drywall damage inside the house. I had another company decline the job. Then a third company who said we were “on the schedule”. After follow up I learned that we were not on the schedule, and that re-roofs always take precedence over roofing repairs.

Got a great heating contractor from HomeAdvisor. Extremely satisfied. Will use contractors from HomeAdvisor in the future. I requested three contractors for electrical work. Malek Heating called right away and dropped in at home to give an estimate. We ended up getting baseboard heaters installed in the basement and bedroom. Malek did a marvelous job. In both cases, the price I paid was much lower than I had been quoted just by searching through Google. I'll never hire a local company/worker without first checking HomeAdvisor first.

The potential vendors then contacted me and each came to my house to provide estimates. All I had to do was evaluate each proposal and make a selection. All the vendors were professional and courteous. We are very happy with the final result.

I am a contractor who sensed I was being very heavily marketed. I was called no less than 8 times over the 3 days I used to decide if I would participate. I would say I was hounded. I explained I was concerned because I have a unique business and category placement was vital. Only after I was guaranteed that they have over 400 categories and that I would be placed in the proper area.

On a Saturday, the hot water heater copper pipe burst, due to the way it was "bent" to fit water heater. The water heater was 16 years old so we opted to replace it along with new copper pipes. I used HomeAdvisor and response was fast. Highly recommend this site.

Requested estimates on removing carpet and refinishing parquet floors. Was contacted by 3 companies promptly who all provided bids just as promptly. All were professional and experienced. Chose the one with the best price but also selected him because his attitude was upbeat and positive.

Unbelievably reliable and honest. These ladies went above and beyond what I asked them to do. They cleaned out my mom's home after she passed away. They were able to get additional help to move all furniture and belongings out of the house. They were very timely and worked so hard to accommodate our needs.

I called an installation company, on my own, and was quoted a price. I know what the woman quoted me, because I WROTE IT DOWN on my calendar, the date and fee. Then I ended up buying from a company that had installation services -- for a fee. The fee was less. I clearly recall what the woman quoted me for the service. It was higher than what the appliance sales company charged. I said so, and tried to keep my review anonymous. Well I got a call from the man and he was upset. I know what the woman quoted me -- who could forget that price? Then, though I hired them through the appliance sales company, they say they still pay a fee to you folks. That should not happen. If so, it is not something I did, and should not be called at 7 am over my honest review.

I put in my issue with Toilet Clog from objects falling into toilet. I had a very professional and prompt call with minutes call me from Budge It Drains, one of the three co. I submitted to get estimates from. He listened to what happened, and we discussed how to best resolve issue, and I completely agreed with wanting to have my Toilet removed and to have any objects found and removed causing blockage, and then to have Toilet resealed and put back in place for a Flat rate. This is exactly what I wanted, a good Flat rate for this complete service by professional plumbers.

Remove the oven which was over the stove and replace it with a new microwave. The contractor was here on time and went right to work to remove the old oven and replaced it with the new one. I was very happy with the work he did and would call him back him again when I need another project to be done. I called a few other contractors who were much higher priced than him.
