Today 03/22/2017 - The Lucky Tree Company crew showed up exactly on time as they said. They introduced themselves and got busy doing their expert job of cutting down close to a 5 story high tree in our front yard, and much too close to our house. They thoroughly cleaned up every bit of the debris in our yard and side street. It was awesome to watch them, especially to see the safety measures they used to get the huge trunk portions to fall exactly where they wanted them to without causing any damage. They are coming back on 03/24 to grind out the stump. I'm anxious to watch them do that as well. The entire Lucky Tree Company crew are courteous, and surely professionals at their job. We are sincerely pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone needing their services. Great job!!! Picture of the tree they took down here.

I just happened to google good companies to clean air ducts and HomeAdvisor came up. Figured I'd give it a try and very friendly and easy to use. The companies they recommended all had great reviews and made finding the right one easy.

The Forest Keepers Tree Care team was AMAZING!!!! They were VERY Professional, on time and FAST! The are very skilled and have all the right equipment! Washer Lid Switch Replacement: All Hour Appliance Repair was local. Mike was very professional and efficient. Price for part and service call was in line with other service calls I've had on other items. I'm a handicapped widow and do not have any family members to help me. I would use this company again. He cleaned up all of his "mess" and was in and out in less than an hour.

Structural wood sill above windows originally capped with metal flash under vinyl siding. Siding j-channel bracket and metal cap had large hole allowing rain to channel around wood sill piece. New flash and j-channel plus caulk. Kevin, the craftsman did an excellent job deconstructing and reconstructing to fix the discrepancy.

Even though we found an excellent professional on HomeAdvisor to paint our kitchen cabinets, the first 2 painters that were arranged to come and give estimates never showed. When the first did not show I called HomeAdvisor to make a complaint. The person I spoke to said she did not handle it and connected me to Customer Solutions. I sat on hold for 15 minutes and then got recording to leave message and they would call in 48 hours; they never called. The second person who was supposed to come never showed either.

He did a wonderful job at a great price. Completed stairs job quickly and the end result is better than I expected. He also worked with me on my budget. He was very nice and addressed any concerns I had. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend this company.

Hedge and tree trimming and removal done well and priced right by contractors referred by HomeAdvisor. Multiple contractors interviewed, we chose the best priced and most knowledgeable. Contractor listed with HomeAdvisor completed every effort promised, including preparation and clean up.

The attached is a similar review that I left on the HomeAdvisor site after a total disaster with a painting company. After 10 days my review did not show. They said it was contested and they didn't know how long it would take to have it up. This is suspicious and we as consumers are supposed to be able to tell the truth about our experiences. If HomeAdvisor doesn't post the negative reviews and the consumer doesn't check on it... isn't that deceptive??? The review is true and should be put up!

I was looking for contractors for painting the house and also some contract work. I used one of the paint contractors in their list and that contractor was great. A few days later, a rep from HomeAdvisor called and asked if I had found anyone for my concrete job yet. I told them I contacted two of their contractors; one had already come out and the other contractor didn't do the type of work I needed done. They then proceeded to ask if I wanted a 3rd contractor so that I could at least get a few bids and then provided a contractor that had high ratings that stated they did the type of work I was looking for. Even though Spillman's Construction never called back to confirm the appointment, I appreciated the effort HomeAdvisor did to help me find a competent contractor for my project.

I have used HomeAdvisor several times for repairs and maintenance projects. In every case, I have found an extremely qualified and trustworthy person/company to do the work. It is a very valuable asset in locating the right person or company for the job.

I was looking for a post construction cleaning of a new house. I went on Google to find a company that was close to my new residence. HomeAdvisor came up on the search and was very user friendly. The cleaning service I used was friendly and helpful.

Jacuzzi pump pneumatic switch was defective and needed a replacement. Contractor was able to replace the switch without replacing the entire pump. Very good service and workmanship and knowledgeable about equipment. Also found a stripped electrical wire that needed to be taped.

Their team (landscaping) is extremely courteous, professional and pleasant. They showed up eager and were honest, hardworking and willing to please. Suggestion for plant replacement were excellent and my yard turned out lovely. I would highly recommend them and will hire them again!

I have now used HomeAdvisor twice and I have been very happy with the companies they have connected me with. Both times I have had an excellent job done at a reasonable price. Only negative is that they send emails asking if you hired the company or how was your experience, only a day or two after contacting the company. It takes a number of days, and even weeks to set up appointments for estimates and to actually complete the job. This can be a little annoying but nothing to stop me from using HomeAdvisor again and again.

I'm glad I don't get charged a fee like Angie's List, but they do seem VERY limited on the choices of service contractors so far. The plumber I inquired about for a toilet leak called me twice trying to make an appointment, which kind of turned me off. I WILL contact someone when I'M ready!

I was happy with HomeAdvisor, the only thing is that HomeAdvisor didn't tell me that the Septic Company has a 2-hr window. I was told 10:00 am but in reality it was 10:00-12:00. This did not bother me but I can see with some people's schedules, it should be better communicated.

Morgan Lawn Service provided prompt, efficient, excellent service and would recommend very highly. My lawn was mowed, edged, mulched in the flower beds, and some pressure washing of a sidewalk, steps and north side of the home. Very reasonably priced and excellent work performed by Corey.

I've seen the ads on TV. Our trash hauler wanted us to rent a dumpster for $500, and wasn't able to take our broken floor tiles any other way... We didn't need a full dumpster. I went online to query a way for us to get rid of the tile. Came upon Home Advisor... gave it a try. I was quite surprised and extremely pleased when my cell phone started ringing within 2 minutes, and a very nice young man was asking me what service I was needing. Home Advisor will be my place to search for handyman small jobs in the future. I'm a believer. 3 days later the broken tile is out of my garage, for a reasonable price, and I'm very happy with the result! I'm also very glad to know that background checks are done, and it was very helpful to see others' reviews of this man's work.

Being fairly new to the area I've used Home Advisor several times to find various contractors. I've been pleased the contractor I hired every time. I appreciate that Home Advisor always provided multiple choices. Not every recommended contractor responded timely and made my selection much easier.

Roof repair from wind damage. The damage was assessed and the contractor immediately gave me a cost estimate, which I found to be very reasonable. We agreed on the price. He then immediately began the repair, then when he was done he showed me photos of before and after the repair, which was very well done.

The only complaint I have is that HomeAdvisor gives you a choice after you fill in all the info they require if you want someone to contact you right away/emergency or if you JUST want to see the list of companies in your area to contact. I clicked on the show me the list button, looked it over and in less than 10 mins, my home phone was ringing and it was the plumber who was listed. (Actually he was the only one listed but that could be because we are in a rural area). I was confused w/ the call as I didn't request a call so my question would be, why would HomeAdvisor give me a choice then send my contact info to the contractor anyway, ya know? He turned out to be great, fixed the broken part as soon as part was shipped to part's store and he completed the job. I'll use him again.

Daniel's Lawn Care came to my home and quickly and professionally removed trees that had fallen during an ice and wind storm. Very happy with my entire experience.

Fridge out on a weekend. We were connected almost instantly. The repair technician was on the phone before I could turn away from the computer; He then worked with us to understand the problem and found a way to get the job done before all food spoiled, in just over 30 hours.

Gutted bathroom. Put down new sub flooring and new drywall. Installed all new floors, walls, sink, tub, vanity mirror, fan lights toilet, cabinet above toilet and bathroom accessories including grab bar for my elderly mother and curved curtain rod. There were plumbing issues that had to be fixed. But let me help cut the cost by painting and purchasing some of the fixtures myself so I in turn felt invested in my new bathroom and it is truly an expression of my own taste.

We hired Top Notch Tree Service and they were at our house right after noon and cleared enough right away to let repairs to house begin.

They seem to have a good cross pick of service companies in whatever field you might need for your projects. I had the choice of three and this made it a lot easier than trying to hunt around on my own or go through the Yellow Pages to try to find someone to do the work I needed, plus they already did most of the legwork for me and posted reviews on the different companies so I'M HAPPY WITH THEM SO FAR.

Gravel and stones broken due to weather. This is what I think. The area seems to be getting worse. Zion was able to give me options to do the job at a reasonable price for what needs to be done since I can not afford to have the whole area done. A patch will be done on the area which will be just a nice, however may not be the exact color of the other areas and that is fine with me.

2 of 3 suggested providers responded. I got estimates from both and the range was $1500-$2800 (ridiculous!). I went with Roto-Rooter (family run business) and they did a fantastic job with the hot water heater replacement. Efficient, friendly and prompt. Will be using them again. HomeAdvisor should also ask for feedback on the vendors that were not chosen or did not respond.

I am a senior and enrolled in HomeAdvisor on March 13th to get a contractor to do roof repairs. On March 14th a man stopped by our house and stated he was with HomeAdvisor. After assessing our situation, he gave us a quote of $500 to fix our roof and stated his crew would be here on Thursday to complete the work. We asked for a receipt and he said we would get one immediately from HomeAdvisor. The check was made out to Acclaim Contracting which was on HomeAdvisor's recommended list of 3 contractors.

Their work (Yard work gumballs picked up and reducing bushes) was reliable and their cost was reasonable and frankly cheap compared to others. Showed up while at work and showed the honor system to pay them. Sent me a note in my mailbox to pay later. Can't beat that one folks. Will rehire them.

The contractors I have hired have been reflective of the reviews. It has been a reliable source of locating good, honest contractors.

So there was a mix up in communication, I did not understand it and thought that since I found the company through you, you could fix the issue. I called at 5:30 PST and spoke to Susie, who said she is from Denver call center. I have to say I was frustrated, stressed and didn't make the call great from my end after Susie's attempt at getting the information. I actually thought I was being punked at first. Could she really be this clueless in customer service. My jaw dropped a few times.

I was surprised the another contractor for a job I was only considering also called right away. I have not followed up with the second project yet but appreciated the quick response even though I thought I was only looking to see what contractors were locally available.

Warm N Cozy Cold N Comfy - Francis came to my house to give a free estimate on fixing my heater. He told us something we could try ourselves and if it didn't work he advised me of his hourly rate and said it should take his guys about an hour if we can't get it working ourselves. I offered him some money just for the advice but he refused. What he told me to do to fix my problem did work! I would definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family.

I was satisfied with the painting job but upset that precautions were not taken to warn me that my kitchen would be covered in dust from the work done in the living room, dining room, and foyer. My kitchen cabinets are open and I had to remove my china cabinet from the dining room, so all my china was on my kitchen table. I am now washing all my dishes, glassware, china, table, chairs, stove...!! What a mess!! I could have put plastic sheeting in the entry way to block the dust if someone had told me it would be this bad! I was downstairs the whole time, no one warned me! Hope this review saves someone else from a huge clean up job!!
