I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator in Fall of 2025. The gasket on freezer drawer was defective. The refrigerator was replaced on 10/17/25. Last night (a Friday night), the refrigerator stopped cooling. So it is about 6 months old and not working. I bought this refrigerator at Lowe’s. They are of no help. And Frigidaire and Lowe’s Protection Plan do not take calls on weekend. I may throw in the towel ($2,000) and go elsewhere and buy a different brand.

I have had 3 Frigidaire refrigerators in years gone by and consider the worst refrigerators that I’ve had to deal with and also know other people that had a bad experience with other Frigidaire products.

I bought this refrigerator 5 years ago. After two years the ice and water stopped working and now the freezer side has stopped working.

Reviewed April 25, 2026
DO NOT BUY. This refrigerator has a constant, intrusive humming noise coming from the evaporator motor and fan, and it is genuinely unbearable. I contacted Frigidaire, and they replaced both the evaporator fan motor and the fan blade, yet the noise never changed. Despite that, they continue to tell me this is “normal operation.” I’m 63 years old, and this is not my first refrigerator — there is nothing normal about this level of noise. As a consumer, I have the right to receive a product that performs as advertised and meets basic standards of quality. When a manufacturer sells an appliance that fails to function properly and then dismisses the issue as “normal,” it undermines those rights. Save yourself the frustration, the noise, and the runaround. Look elsewhere.

Haven't really had time to have an experience, it not even that it broke down (it happens). It's the lack of support the company gives. The time it took for the person to argue with me, they could have fixed the problem. AND don't waste your time with extended warranty. I think that made it worse. The website says the warranty is good but the person I'm trying to set an appointment up w/ disagrees.

This product is a piece of garbage. Techs can't even repair it and it is 26 months old. Continue to get "HIGH TEMP WARNING"- seems as if other people have same problem. My freezer goes from -1 to 20 degrees several times a day making it impossible to keep food in it. Very disappointed in this $2600 freezer. Seems like it should be recalled since it is not an isolated issue. I had extended 3rd party warranty and they replaced condenser as well as another part but issue persists. They told me to call Frigidaire who said they can do nothing about it.

Disgusted. Bought side x side with freezer on bottom Nov of 2024. Pd +2,400. Issues started a few months in. Tech came out, said we had a compressor issue but not under warranty. Actually, it was under a yr so he came back, installed a compressor but charges me $150. Within 1 month digital panel in front kept beeping and food wasn’t lasting long. Freezer and fridge were changing temps. Same tech comes back and said it was a condenser issue and installs a condenser. Adds Freon. Said if it happens again we must have a leak somewhere. It happened again and now he won’t call us back. The only place in town to buy a fridge sells only Frigidaire so we bought one in January. Needed it for my meds and food. Now this one is making noises and acting weird. I’m hoping for a class action lawsuit to jump in with. Will provide prof of purchase for both of them if needed. Done getting ripped off.

Fridge failed after 7 months. High Temperature warning came on, would come on even if the fridge was emptied of food. Cleaned the fridge and coils thoroughly, did not make a difference. The casters destroyed my floor, even though I had no issue with the casters from my old fridge (different brand). So now I have a broken fridge and a destroyed floor. Do not buy this brand under any circumstances. Trying to work with customer service was like dealing with a circus. I supposedly have a tech coming out to my house tomorrow but I will believe it when I see it. My suspicion is that they will try to charge me more money to ultimately fail to fix my fridge.

After one year I was offered a Warranty. I did not bother with the offer. Sure enough soon later I noticed the milk getting bad after 4 days. Then I noticed the fridge was hardly cold and that the freezer was cold but not freezing as it should be. It will teach me a good lesson to stick with GE which lasted 30 years.

Model No. FFTR 1835VW 30 in. 18.3 cu ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator. So disappointed. This refrigerator was always noisy when running. Now 2 years after purchase, doesn't cool or freeze. Purchased 10/23. Started making loud humming noise on 4/9/26. Short cycling. Compressor coming on every 5 minutes, running for 1-2 minutes. Shuts off. It cycled on and off. It did that for 4 hours, then compressor stopped coming on at all. I could still hear faint sound of fan - kind of. Everything in freezer thawed, other items just above room temp in fridge section. All food spoiled. Had to buy another refrigerator, not Frigidaire!!
Doors supposedly close on their own, no they don't, but every other fridge does. This stops at about 4 inches to close then you have to push. The "new" design that channels cooling inside fridge, doesn't work and idea doesn't pan out. Frigidaire, never again. First time in my life to buy a fridge that only lasted 2 years, not 15. Word to wise, keep looking!

13 months ago I got a gallery fridge as the 25 year old fridge (NOT Frigidaire...) gave out - this is the worst fridge I've ever encountered. Within weeks the fake "stainless steel" skin was permanently discolored with water spots. All manufacturer's instructions for cleaning & care were & are closely followed. Temp control is terrible - after 5 trips from service techs there's still always a block of ice in the bin and stuff in the fridge still freezes. It makes clicking/tapping noises sometimes (not the ice maker), I have to unplug it for a few minutes & hope I remember to plug it back in. There's more, but that's enough for now.
A month later I got a gallery dishwasher (wanted to keep the look as I was considering selling the house over last summer but didn't) - it's not just the worst dishwasher I've ever encountered, it's also the worst appliance of any kind I've ever encountered (I'm 55). Almost nothing actually fits in the top or bottom racks. The tines in the bottom don't line up from front to back - so a sheet pan won't go in - THIS is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen!!!
There's nowhere to put the specialty beer glasses I have where they won't fall over at the slightest movement. I have to surround them with non-glass cups to hold them up - it's just awful. The glass rack adjusts up & down, which sounds good but doesn't help at all. In the high position very few things are short enough to fit, and there's still not enough room in the bottom rack for 1/2 sheet pans (well, no more than one, laying at an angle and taking up pretty much the whole bottom - it's terrible. The very top flat rack is kinda cool, but literally everything else about it is horrible.
Next was the gallery induction range/oven. The push-button controls are infuriating, lesson learned. THE RACKS FALL DOWN IN THE OVEN. With a single 12" cast-iron skillet on it. It simply bent & fell. COMPLETE CHEAP GARBAGE!!! The door came off when I tried to gently move the unit away from the back wall, and was a pain to get back on. I've carefully moved dozens if not hundreds of ovens like this over 3 or 4 decades, NEVER had an issue like this, never seen anything so shoddy as this. I bought a microwave to round out the set - haven't been able to bring myself to install it yet & see how awful it is... At this point I'll likely save it until I do list the house - I'll have to replace the fridge then as well since it discolored so quickly and looks really, really terrible.

I really like this fridge, I got the gallery, two ice makers, I think they gave a lot of thought about the design and functionality. However their quality control, customer service and fridge reliability is out the window. I'm on my third fridge in 7 months due to quality control issues. I had this one 7 months and were already having temperature issues with the freezer. I'm under manufacturing warranty, which was all over the place getting an appointment, everything is AI now, everything is chat now. When I told Frigidaire I was disappointed with the fridge and customer service, they told me, "Is there anything else I can help you with." I took that as, "Don't care, you’re on your own." My freezer is not freezing, I have to wait, just hoping the whole fridge doesn’t go down by the time they get here on Wednesday. All of these fridges are just garbage anymore, nothing lasts. Hoping my extended warranty is better than the manufacturer.

We bought a brand new gallery refrigerator. We had to have a repairman come to supposedly fix it. The seals were not good, so he said he repaired it. It was worse when he left. We went back to the store. Ordered another one. It was brought in the next day. The freezer went out, then the refrigerator up top went out. We lost our food. We decided to get a new brand. Called Frigidaire to covered the food. We lost, and they refused. Said it wasn't covered under warranty. Don't buy one !!! is all I have to say to say!!!

I join the 1 star reviews.... If it's not one problem, it's another. In the 3 years I've had my Model FRSS2323AS repair man twice, and now again I spent 4 hrs cleaning, flushing, reaming, blowing the drain line, due to water leaking, freezing bottom compartment, and water constantly pooling on the kitchen floor. Really, a fridge that can last 2 years without problem after problem. What a scam. So I'm thinking TEMU must have bought our Frigidaire.... Sad, time to try another brand... Moving a fridge in and out is not very pleasant either... Come on Frigidaire... Really?

My experience with Frigidaire and their warranty service has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The refrigerator in my home (Model FRSS2623ASN) began malfunctioning and freezing everything in the fresh food compartment. What followed was a long and exhausting process of service appointments, repeated phone calls, and technicians replacing parts without properly verifying whether the issue was actually fixed.
On one visit, a technician replaced components and left without confirming that the refrigerator was functioning correctly. The problem continued exactly the same afterward. This forced me to spend even more time contacting customer support and scheduling additional appointments. Throughout this process, I had to repeatedly take time off work to wait for technicians, losing valuable time and income. In some cases, technicians were not properly prepared to diagnose the issue, and the entire process felt uncoordinated and inefficient.
A refrigerator is not a luxury item — it is an essential appliance in any home, especially when you have a small child. The lack of urgency and accountability shown during this warranty process has been extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Frigidaire products. The way warranty claims are handled places an unreasonable burden on the customer and creates unnecessary stress for something that should be a straightforward repair.

I got my appliance in July 2024, and in my first couple of months with it, I experienced an insane amount of frosting in the freezer. I was told to be concerned, but with this being my first purchase of an appliance, I wasn't sure what to do next. Then my appliance just stopped working. I scheduled an appointment, and the same day they were due to come out, my appliance started working again, so they no longer wanted to come out. Fast forward, I am having the same issue, but my protection plan expired, so now I just repurchased the protection, but once I tried scheduling someone to come look at it, I was told I won't be able to have anyone come out, basically, and they will refund my plan. I am upset because I have not had the appliance that long, and in the first couple of months of it going out, even though it came back on, I wish they had still sent someone out to check out my appliance. This is very disappointing, and I am not made of money.

DEFECTIVE FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR – TOTAL FAILURE TO COOL OR FREEZE.
Model: FFTR1814LW
Serial Number: BA52917557
Purchase Date: 08/10/2025
Service Address: **
Plaintiff purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator manufactured by Defendant, Electrolux Home Products, Inc. The refrigerator completely failed to cool or freeze and has never functioned properly. The appliance failed to perform its essential purpose. Plaintiff submitted warranty service requests. The service history is as follows:
• 08/26/2025 – Ticket #** – Not repaired• 09/03/2025 – Ticket #** – Parts installed, failure continued
• 09/29/2025 – Ticket #** – Failure persisted
The first repair attempt occurred nearly one month after service was requested. The second repair required several additional weeks. Despite three authorized repair visits, the appliance remains non-functional. Plaintiff is a landlord, and the refrigerator was installed in a rental property. As a direct result of the refrigerator’s total failure, the tenant’s food spoiled. Plaintiff reimbursed the tenant $700.00 for food loss caused by the defective appliance. Defendant was provided with more than a reasonable opportunity to repair this unit but failed to do so. Continued failure constitutes a breach of express and implied warranties and a failure of essential purpose under Georgia law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.).

It gave a high temperature warning on door that is no longer there as it started working again but still making noise sometimes. I'm on the phone with Frigidaire & the customer service guy wants me to describe the noise. I'm like, "It's loud" & he said, "It will have a noise like no it's not a normal noise..." I'm given a # for a service tech as it's covered under manufacturer warranty & leave a message 'cause no one answered. Also the customer service guy recommended I buy extended warranty like no I should be given extended warranty for having this problem & not even having it one year plus loss of food... I will never buy Frigidaire again.

Frigidaire refrigerator MDL FRSS2623AWC, this unit is OK except for the ice maker. Ice forms in the evaporator fan causing the refrigerator to make a very loud noise. It's not constant, just when ice builds up.The only way to stop the noise is to turn unit off & let the ice melt or don't use the ice maker. The warranty repair didn't fix the problem. We called another appliance repair company after warranty expired & they advised that there's nothing that can do since it works like it should, just too much water coming into the unit.

I bought a refrigerator, DW, built-in microwave, and built-in oven about 2 years ago. All were the Professional line. The fridge had to be replaced as it was too broken to repair just before warranty ran out (took 3 months). The recessed water panel is PLASTIC and the fake SS is peeling off. The oven had its knobs fall off and I had to have service come pull it out of the wall to fix it. The microwave display panel is burning out and I'm missing 2 light segments already. The only thing that is still ok is the DW. The oven has to be set in 25 degree segments, so no fine tuning there! I am very disappointed overall and do not recommend.
