Plastic control panel discolors from the heat cycle.

I have replaced two front panels on a Frigidaire Professional Series Dishwasher. The front door is stainless steel but the front control panel is plastic; BIG MISTAKE!! This is a factory defect that needs to be addressed. The vent for the heat cycle is located in the plastic panel. After a few months the panel becomes discolored from the heat and steam residue and cannot be cleaned. It turns the panel white. It looks terrible. My local dealer has been wonderful and has replaced both panels. The dishwasher is 1.5 years old. I wonder if Frigidaire is going to replace panels for me every 6 months for the rest of the life of the dishwasher. Come on Frigidaire; what kind of testing do you put these machines through before you market them?

Frigidaire Dishwasher that does not clean! I am so angry with the service I did not recieve from this company. After 2 independent contractors came out to inspect my dishwasher and informed me that per the manual I need to run my hot water first for a cleaning. I was dumb founded. No where in any of the frigidaire brochures did it say this but after purchasing the dishwasher opening the crate and dishwasher door I got to the manual that states this even though this dishwasher is advertised with a variable delay start!

What the heck is the point of a delay start if you have to run down right before it and run hot water through your faucet to get your dishwasher to actually clean the dishes? Well that is what I asked Frigidaire and after 4 representatives it ended with an Angel Prescott (I'm sure this is her business name) who informed me that since the product is not malfunctioning this is in essence my problem that the dishwasher is not in an ideal situation, (mind you my old one that was 4 years old ran perfectly fine off the same water line). And that frigidaire had not falsely advertised their product with the variable delay because it says in plain black and white in the manual that I may need to run the faucet to draw hot water in the line!

Ok never again will I buy Frigidaire or Electrolux! I have had other problems with a kitchenaid product and received stellar customer service. Now Figidaire left me with a falsely advertised product that can't perform in a basic factory setting. Oh and to boot Miss Angel said the CEO Keith McGoughlin does not speak with his customers nor can I email him or leave voicemails. Ok, so let me get this straight you run a company but won't check in with your consumers? Why should we buy from you!?!

My Frigidaire dishwasher (pro series) within 1 year has had 2 electric panels and 2 touch pad panels replaced. Frigidaire electric slide in range (also pro series) when using burner(s) the back right burner will turn itself on (keep in mind the knob is set to off, perfectly vertical) and you cannot shut it off. This has happened twice - both times had to hit the circuit braker because you cannot shut burner off. Very strange and scary.

Only thing worse than Frigidaires products is their service!!!

I purchased a Frigidaire GLD3450RD dishwasher. In less then 6 months the control panel failed. It was repaired and no more then 2 months later it failed again. After a third failure the company replaced the unit with a brand new unit which failed with the same problem after 2 or 3 weeks. It was once again repaired and now it has failed again. That is 5 control panel failures in less then 9 months. I asked about a recall and the representative on the phone said this was not a common issue.

After going on-line it appears that this is a very common problem and a design flaw. The panel can not manage the moisture from the unit when steam is created. This shorts the unit out and causes it to stop mid cycle in error. This has been a nightmare purchase and a horrible company to work with. There should be a recall on this unit. I found about a dozen stories of the same issue on epinions.com and yet the company says it's not an issue.

I have had to take several days off of work to deal with this same problem. The frequent repairs and replacement has caused damage to my wood floor.

My four year young Frigidaire Dishwasher needs repair. I have found the part that failed. It is a plastic sleeve or bushing that slides over the shaft of the motor and on which the macerator blade is mounted. They do not show and will not sell that part seperately. The macerator blade and grommets yes. The plastic sleeve NO. In order to get that part, I've been told I must buy a complete motor assembly at a cost of $121.65 &SH.

I am completely disatisfied with their answers. Instead of paying ?$20.00 or less &SH, I must now evaluate whether I should repair it or not and possibly re-invest in another Dishwasher. Fortunately, I have done the work myself, otherwise, I would have service call charges wasted as well.
