If you choose the normal cycle, it is supposed to take 2 hours and 20 minutes. It actually takes 5-6 hours. I had a service rep look at it and nothing is wrong. Also some engineer thought it would be a good idea to put the controls inside the door so that when a cycle is running, you have to interrupt the cycle to see how much time is left. Eventually the dishes get cleaned.

We purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher last October. By July it was broken. Error code 50 pump. So we contacted the company with the manufacturer warranty. They set up a service provider. They didn't show. Rescheduled the service appointment. They order parts. Week later another service call to install. Still broken. Same code. Now more parts ordered and waiting again. Now it's the computer and the other pump. Don't waste your money on Frigidaire. We have their oven and refrigerator. Nothing but problems with those too. All the shelves and drawers broke within the first year. Hundreds of dollars spend on drawers for them to keep breaking. Oven shuts off in the middle of cooking. Hold times for customer service half an hour to an hour. Pick another company.

Horrible products and service! Had a 5 yr warranty on a dishwasher-the trays rusted out, contacted warranty and they said this is not covered under warranty. I can't wash my white dishes because they are getting rusted. It was $500 to order new dishwasher trays-cheaper to buy a new dishwasher! I called to ask for a refund on warranty since I still had one year left and they said I would not get anything back-how is that possible if I still have another year and no longer have the dishwasher! Then they claimed I did not properly maintain the dishwasher which is ridiculous! I followed all of the protocols and maintenance as I do with all of my appliances to make them last. I will never buy a Frigidaire product again!

This company has NOT been anything but bad. Our dishwasher is less than 2 years old. The appliance technician that the warranty company sent said the motherboard was fried. They told us it would be a minimum of 7 days to get the part in. I called the warranty company asking them if they could expedite the shipment. They told me they would have it sent in 48 hours and send me an email with a tracking number. Two days later I still don’t have an email and have been on hold with the warranty company for 20 minutes waiting for them to explain what is going on. I will never buy Frigidaire ever again and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We've bought over 20 Frigidaire appliances in the last 2 years. We had a pump replaced in one of the dishwashers last year under warranty. We've now had what seems to be a pump that's stopped working in a second dishwasher. We know service calls are available after the first year but we'd rather not spend what will likely be half the price of a new dishwasher to replace this dishwasher. Needless to say, we'll likely not be purchasing Frigidaire appliances in the future.

1 year old dishwasher leaks water. The plastic on the tips of the prongs on the racks become bare, rust, and that transfers to the dishes putting rust spots on them. This is the second time this happened. Warranty denied. Worst product I have experienced in 11 houses.

Unit failed to work right the first time we tried to use it. Tried to get customer service after doing all the checks we knew to do on our own and went through their on phone troubleshooting. Wife talked to them a week ago and was told 2-3 days they would let us know. We still hadn't heard so I reached out and was told they had a tech scheduled to come out in 10 days. I asked if they could do anything else as we have a full kitchen of brand new appliances from them that were installed by the home builder. They kept saying they were doing all they could.
I wound up going and buying a new dishwasher from another company as a result since this company clearly thinks 17 days waiting on service on a brand new unit that never washed a single dish successfully is ok. I'm shocked they are in business still. I'm going to do my best to let everyone know to buy any other brand because this company doesn't have any customer service whatsoever! I tried to review on their site and found that they moderate the posts and prevented it from going up to keep the star ratings artificially higher. Their Facebook page is full of comments just like mine saying no help, no service, etc. Buyer beware!

After only two years of owning this product I had my first $150 service call. There were latch problems. My grandson opened the dishwasher before the cycle ended and the latch stayed in the close position. Now, a year later, the same problem has occurred. The service tech tells me that Frigidaire redesigned the latch mechanism, and for another $150 I can get it replaced. I could have bought a new dishwasher for the price of these repairs! Why am I having to pay for repairs that the manufacturer knew were an issue. I will never buy this manufacturer's products again.

This Frigidaire dishwasher cost $1,000 at Lowe’s. It’s terrible. First, get used to picking your silverware up off the floor because the holes in the basket are huge. The silverware slips out the sides no matter how careful you are. Worse, this dishwasher is six months old and already leaves everything filthy. What a disappointment. Buy something else!

Don't buy Frigidaire. I bought a dishwasher last year and now it's giving trouble. It never ever dries the dishes and all of a sudden there is no water coming into the washer. I called the customer service yesterday, the woman talking to me on the phone was very rude and started talking very fast, it was a horrible experience, then she told me call the company I bought the dishwasher from. The company I bought the washer from didn't make it, they don't have the parts. She also told me it would cost me 150 for someone to come out just to diagnose the problem. The sad part is this company don't live up to their warranty promises. If you buy a Frigidaire be prepared for the item to break down in 12 months, and on top of that the dishwasher was expensive. The woman that I talked to me yesterday, that job is not for you, you are rude and very nasty on the phone.

I bought a dishwasher 11/19. I notified Frigidaire that the touch pad didn't work and probably wouldn't be looked at before the warranty expired due to covid. They recorded that in their notes. The dishwasher is at a vacation property in another state. My in-laws in their 90s passed this year. I was finally able to address the issue. They refuse to repair a defect that occurred before the warranty expired and that they were aware of before the warranty expired. They do not stand behind their products. That is the last Frigidaire/Electrolux product that I will purchase.

Very disappointed with our Frigidaire dishwasher purchased only seven months ago. Spots of rust are appearing on the outside door which is stainless steel! Both Keith's and Frigidaire say it is cosmetic and therefore, they don't cover any repair for it. This was our first and last purchase from Keith's and our last purchase from Frigidaire. If you can't stand by a seven month old product, then you do not deserve our business. Has anyone ever had a dishwasher stainless steel door show rust spots??? It has never happened to us even when a dishwasher was seven YEARS old, never mind seven months old.

Our house is new and the dishwasher was registered with warranty. We kept complaining about the spray arm melting issue but Frigidaire was irresponsible in addressing the issues and kept saying they would charge $104 to send a technician since it's just a week out of warranty. Most of the builders use these cheap products like Frigidaire rather than Whirlpool but the product service and functionality is at its worst. I would personally not recommend these products at all.

The new dishwasher came with our house. We assumed Frigidaire was a good brand. We are an elderly couple with light dishwashing needs. We did not take out a warrantee. Big mistake! Estimate for repairs came to $380....close to the price of replacing the entire thing. Frigidaire said we could get a certified technician to sign that the machine was totally broken and perhaps they could offer a 'buy-back' price. No idea what this might be. This would involve paying for a second visit by a serviceperson - adding to our bills. We don't know what to do. Frigidaire are hard to contact and we have spent hours on this. Frustrated and upset.

We recently purchased a dishwasher from Frigidaire. Normally I do my research but being near Christmas did not have much time. I have to run my hot water to the extreme then slam the door and hope that it comes on. The baskets I have to lift the bottom basket up to get the rollers on the track each time. We had this dishwasher 2 weeks then the whole sensor board went down does not work. We tried numerous times to set up appointments to have a technician come out to fix it. It is now February 2023 and yes we have the part on the floor waiting for the technician. He is coming to replace the whole sensor board. My opinion don't buy Frigidaire. Bought a brand new Frigidaire dishwasher at the end of September. Didn't get delivered for a week. First one brought was all beat up so we refused delivery. Second one looked good so we accepted it and installed it. Did 3 loads of dishes. Then on the fourth load, would not pump the water out of the dishwasher. Tried to reset the unit, cut power for 15 minutes, checked all connections, etc. Then it wouldn't pump water into the unit either. Call Frigidaire. They agree to send someone out to look at it since it is brand new which took two weeks.
I take a day off work and nobody shows. I call to find out the company they scheduled does not even service the area I live in. They had 2 weeks to either get another company or call me back and let me know this. Nobody called and told me or called another company, so I lost a day's pay and still do not have a resolution. No apology, no reason they didn't call or reschedule, and had I not called, nothing would have been done. They probably figured they could at least get out of a few more weeks of having to cover the dishwasher under warranty by waiting. Terrible company. My kitchen may have all Frigidaire appliances now, but as they die, they will be replaced with anything but Frigidaire

I bought a Frigidaire dishwasher and the door keeps locking shut after every use. The frigidaire service department sent a repairman that had a window of 8am-5pm as to when they'd show up. Obviously, I had to take the whole day off for this. The repairman showed up at around 3pm. He spent all of 5 mins, not fixing or replacing any parts and just stuck a screwdriver in the door handle. I told him that it would just lock again and he proceeded to tell me that I needed to open the door more "slowly". Then he compared me to his teenage son who broke his microwave door because he didn't have any patience.
He also told me he has never had to come back when he has this kind of call. I can see why. I can't continue to waste a whole day for mins of whatever he called a repair visit. Needless to say, my dishwasher locked again that evening. I'm out a $500 dishwasher and I can't continue to take days off for this man's supposed repair work and his 5 minute lectures on how to open a dishwasher. I do not recommend their product or this company's service.

9/30/21: Called back, 30 min wait, gave serial #. They scheduled a repair using 3rd party 3 wks out. I was given a 4 hr time window.
10/19/21: Took day off work. Repair person confirmed: Unit installed correctly, door not latching. Unable to repair. Possibly replacing the latch would fix it. He ordered part, it would take 3 weeks.
11/3/21: Another day off work. That day rec'd text that the appt was canceled and I was automatically scheduled for 10 days later on 11/9/21. Lotsa back and forth with third party...had to move appt to 11/19 because I work.
I called HD store I thought unit came from, explained the situation, it had been 6 weeks with a new defective appliance, having issues with F, their repair contractors and unable to take more time off of work to deal with it. The CS person I spoke with said I needed to talk to "Andi". He did not answer. I left a vm with my info and order #. I never got a callback. I called again 3 days later, spoke with Andi, asked if he had rec'd my message. He did, and said since it was a different HD that had delivered the appliance and therefore he could not do anything. When Asked why no one said that, he claimed that he had reached out to them and asked them to contact me. It was a week later and no one had followed up. I called the other HD and spoke with a woman who said she could not help me because it was an online order, therefore I had to talk to online CS.
I called online CS and they could not help me because of the HD appliance return policy stating "returns only within 48 hrs." OOKAAAY.. After that the manufacturer has to fix it. What about when the unit was defective from the start? HD still could not help me because of the policy. At that time they were able to call some magical line at F and get right thru to someone (must say you are HD associate FYI) and that F had scheduled someone to fix it. When I told HD that was a logistical ** show, they said they could not do anything.
11/19/21: Took Another day off work. Repair person asked if I have the latch part. I had NO IDEA, never told part would be shipped TO ME. He tried to track down the part that was apparently lost in the mail. Ordered another part. Scheduled for another 3 weeks out for 12/10. It keeps going! 11/19/21 I spent 5 hours calling HD, F, my credit card company to reverse the charge, and the BBB. I tried to talk to HD 3 x that day. Multiple reps saying the issue was out of their hands. I was disconnected.
Since hour wait times are my jam I tried again to talk to F. I was told many x they would NOT give me a refund. Even tho it was a defective unit and a logistical nightmare to get fixed. They could do nothing. I asked to speak with a supervisor, transferred and got automated message that said "Sorry for the inconvenience. We cannot take your call at this time. Try again later” and was disconnected. I called F asked to speak with Warranty Dept, transferred and again rec’d the message as above. I tried to get thru to warranty Dept once more, same thing.
>If, by some magical happenstance, the moon and stars align on 12/10 this broken piece of ** is actually fixed, that would make it 75 days, many hours on the phone and a good 5 years off my life, to fix a brand new appliance that was defective. I DO NOT WANT YOUR DEFECTIVE JUNK APPLIANCE. NOR FOR YOU TO REPLACE IT WITH THE SAME BRAND PIECE OF JUNK (which was never even offered to me BTW). >>>>I JUST WANT A ** REFUND.

We bought our dishwasher just over a year ago and had trouble with it since day #1. It went through the cycle and dishes were damp and bottom of dishwasher was wet. We were already using the Finish liquid to assist in drying and the Cascade pods recommended. They sent technician out and he said the pods were no good for hard water. (We have city water-not hard.) We switched to what he recommended which was Cascade powder. It still left dishes damp. We called and technician came out second time and said he couldn't find anything wrong and to leave door open to dry inside. We didn't think that was right but we did that for awhile.
We recently realized that our dishes and inside of dishwasher was getting an odor and mildewing our dishes. We called again to explain and that mildew is a health hazard. They sent out the technician for the third time and he said there were many complaints about this dishwasher. He took it up with the engineers who denied a return. We called customer service once again and they also refused to do anything. Secondly the "stainless steel" finish is so thin that rust is showing through already and I have never used abrasives to wipe it down. I received a defective dishwasher from Frigidaire. Because I did not know it was defective until after it was installed by my professional installer, I wasted the money paying the professional on that install. Why should I be out the money on the install charge on a defective product? When anyone tries to call Frigidaire, their 800 numbers take you through a slew of prompts, wasting your time, just at the end tell you "Sorry, we have too many callers and can't get to your call at this time. Goodbye." This has been happening for multiple days now. Who does that??
Frigidaire needs to either hire more people to take customer service calls, or they need to at least have a system that can call you back (like other companies have) when the next rep is available and you don't lose your place in line. The "chat" on their website is super weak as well. The reps there don't help much at all. Frigidaire apparently takes no responsibility for selling defective products to their customers. Their customer service is so poor that I am embarrassed for their company. For a company this large, they should be way more on top of customer service and making people happy. Dries the dishes and cleans them wonderfully.
What I don’t like is it locks just by pushing it. I like models that have an actual latch or button. This model also does not offer a sanitize or high heat wash on one hour mode which I constantly do the normal wash just to have the sanitize on. Other than that. I purchased this dishwasher because the Lowe's employee talked me into it by saying how good it was. Worst dishwasher I have EVER had. I Even started to rinse before and they still don't come clean. I left a review when I 1st bought it a little less than a year ago and I was given a number to call to discuss my issues. When I called the number given, the person had no idea why I was calling and tried to set up a service call. The dishwasher smells all the time, it does have a trap that needs cleaned after washings (that I do clean) so the smell is not due to that. Not one time have I had every dish come out clean, most are still dirty or have the residue left on them.
They told me I should always run it in high temp. That too would help the issue on them also not drying. They come out really wet because the air dry doesn't work! Kind of defeats the purpose of energy efficient when you have to repeat washing them 3 or 4 times and run extra hot temp. Because the dishwasher you just spent hundreds of dollars on doesn't work! The dishes don't fit properly, unless of course you have nothing but plates. If you put spatulas or anything longer than a knife, it's too tall and the spinner hits it while washing. Brand new after one use, Rusty spots of water would show up on the door?? I saw other complaints about that too. I've taken a few pics and this is with every wash! I hate this washer. Waste of time, money, energy! If I could have gotten my money back on it I would have. Please, do not waste your hard earned money like I did!!

I had a filter subscription to Frigidaire which I cancelled because I had enough filters for 2 years. I put spare boxes in cabinet and unfortunately I didn't open the box until after the 30 day return policy rule. :( All 3 canisters have broken tips, they will not work. This is about $130. I feel like it is a lot of money for nothing and am disappointed that after two appeals to the customer service team they will not replace them. The 30 day return policy is very strict. This is just the last disappointment I've had with Frigidaire.
The dishwasher has issues, it randomly won't finish wash cycles and gives an error code i20, so we just open and hit start then it will finish. We just live with it and have not tried to have Frigidaire fix it. After my experience with customer service regarding the filters and glad I didn't waste my time. The oven is okay but the gas range top is more difficult to cook on than my previous gas range (Jennaire). The flame doesn't seem to get low enough for anything less than a boil. This too I have learned to live with and have not contacted Frigidaire about. I would just please like my filters replaced as they are clearly broken due to poor packaging for shipping, or maybe they sent me broken ones and didn't even care?

I am almost 60 years old and have never had appliances so poorly made!!!! I strongly advise anyone considering buying Frigidaire to reconsider! I called (800) 374-4432 on 11/9 to troubleshoot issues with my dishwasher being unresponsive. I was told to check the breaker box which I did but didn't help. With no further troubleshooting or questioning, I was given a local repair shop number to call and fix which would be $88 for them to come by. That shop could come out in 5 days (Friday 11/13).
Friday they came and the repairman told me about the switch on the wall (different from the breaker and was not mentioned by the phone rep Monday) which turned my dishwasher on - the dishwasher wasn't broken, just turned off. This could have been handled on my initial call Monday. I was charged $88 to flip a switch which I could have done 5 days prior with a good CS rep. I called (800) 374-4432 again Friday 11/13 and was told the 11/9 call would be looked into, reviewed, confirmed (confirmed that the troubleshooting job was done poorly; costing me $88) and I'd hear back by yesterday (11/17) at the latest.
Today 11/18, I hadn't heard back and didn't see a refund. The 11/13 call ref # was **. Today, the chat representative (Michell) told me there was 'no refund due to the expired warranty coverage' but that's irrelevant because the dishwasher wasn't & isn't broken - the customer service rep did not do their job correctly and it cost me $88. They simply needed to ask 2 questions to troubleshoot and only asked 1. A switch on the wall for a dishwasher is not common nationwide, only parts of the country. By giving the CS rep my information, she should have asked 1 more question to would have resulted in a 5 star review and not cost me $88.

The Frigidaire dishwasher we recently purchased is shaping up to be an ongoing problem. From the onset, we struggled with it cleaning properly and then filling with water the day AFTER running it – leaking all over the kitchen floor. Assuming it was installed incorrectly, we called Frigidaire service. The repair man came out, looked it over for about 15 minutes and said he would have to order parts. He did and they arrived. I took off work for the repair window they offered (this is the second time I have had to take four hours off for this issue).
After the four-hour service window expired by 15 minutes, I received an automated message telling me I was “next on the technician’s” list. Now it appears I will be waiting the better part of the day and now I’m on the phone cancelling my early afternoon appointments. I actually highly suspect the recommended repair is all that’s wrong with this appliance. Guess we’ll see. Would NOT recommend Frigidaire as a brand mostly because they don’t respect a customer’s time.

Have a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher with extended home warranty. Paying for the extended warranty was both fortunate and unfortunate. Fortunate because I cannot imagine how much more I would have paid for the 3-4 instances we had to call their service for myriad reasons (All of which should not have been necessary in the first place for a quality product). Unfortunate because the service responsiveness has fallen to new lows in this latest instance. The issue was first reported 5 weeks back wherein the touchpad on the dishwasher quit working for no ostensible reason.
In about 2-3 weeks, a service technician from Premier Dallas showed up for a literally 5 second look to verify that it was indeed the touchpad that was not working. I am not sure why he needed to come in to verify this because we were pretty clear over the phone that the touchpad was not displaying anything. A simple facetime call would have provided the same evidence. He immediately said a new part had to be ordered which would arrive in 5 to 10 days time and that we had to do nothing and they would do the needful. It is now another 3 weeks and counting and:
- We have received no call back even though it is well over double the 5 to 10 days the technician indicated.- Phones for Frigidaire and Premier are always asking to call back all through last week with no 'get a callback' option and while there is a voice message, there is NO response to the voice message.
-In the meantime, the dishwasher continues to be non functional and stinking to high heavens.
I would NEVER recommend a frigidaire dishwasher to anyone and certainly not premier appliance and service. They have no professionalism in their reachability over the phone, in their attitude to call back if is a delay and in their competence and commitment to efficiency in debugging and solving issues and appearing responsive to the customer. Bad investment all around and I would encourage people to stay away from frigidaire, its purported 'extended warranty' and Premier as a service provider.

March 19 2019. I buy my very first dishwasher at age 44. I lived in apartments for years and the house I purchased 15 years ago came with a new unit. So after all this time I needed to finally purchase one. I worked hard to save up the extra cash and was proud to finally pick out what I liked. I decided on Frigidaire because my washer/dryer has been good to me for 16 years and because my grandmother trusted Electrolux, who Frigidaire also operates. I went to Lowe's (3101 Clark Butler Blvd Gainesville Fl 32608) because they have a nice selection and it's 10 minutes from my house. I found a unit I liked for $350, made the purchase, and put it in my truck. My neighbor was already waiting to install it for me. Entire process from looking at Lowes to looking at it in my kitchen: less than 2 hours.
For a month or so it was dishwashing bliss. Then I get 3 flashing lights on the electrical panel and it won't do anything. No biggie. It's under warranty. I'll just make a call. And this is where my story/nightmare begins. Somewhere around the beginning of May 2019 is when I think I first called for warranty repair. (I got better at taking notes the longer the process took.)
Over the span of 6 or so months I was visited by 5 or 6 repairmen, some twice if they ordered and returned with the part or had it mailed to me. The electrical board was replaced twice with the same problem reoccurring (One replacement did last for a month or so). Twice appointments were made with 3rd party vendors and they just never showed up. 2 or 3 times vendors tried cleaning the board (one time that method worked for half a cycle). 2 ordered the part but never came back with it. I asked Frigidaire to file complaints on my behalf on all the 3rd party vendors but I'm not confident that ever actually happened. I requested for only Frigidaire to come out but for months was told they were only in my area on Wednesdays which is my heaviest work day. Mysteriously, later in this process their schedule opened up and I was told that restriction never existed. Here are some date stamps I fished out of texts with my husband:
May 31 Just got off phone with frigidaire, dude no call no showed again. June 3 Dishwasher dude is coming 8 to noon on Thursday. (No texts about it for awhile but rest assured, I still don't have a working dishwasher during this time. It has been a phenomenal drying rack however.) Sept 3 Monday, dishwasher 12-5, good lawd. Sept 9 Dishwasher guy is here. Sept 16 Ok, worked out the timeline with Tony. Got Friday afternoon covered between the 2 of us so this other dishwasher dude can come. Sept 20 dishwasher dude came. Ordered us a new part. 3-5 business days until they get it then I schedule for him to come back. Sigh. (It worked for a bit and I think I got fed up and stopped calling for awhile. Was just easier to hand wash.)
Dec 2 Dishwasher peeps coming Monday 8a-12. Dec 12 Dishwasher gets fixed Monday. Dec 26. I'm about to call frigidaire and see about this dishwasher. (Nope, didn't make it through Christmas. Hand washed everything). So now we are at the end of December, about 6 months and still the dishwasher is broken. I finally ask Frigidaire if we just keep going or is there a different option. They set me up for a repair or replace review. My replacement gets approved January 3 and I'm feeling like this will be over soon. I am very wrong. (I have to guesstimate but I think at this point I've spent about 20 hours on this over the phone, and about 8 days with time off work.)
Frigidaire. ** file no. Cust service 877 435 3287. Jan 2 review for repair or replace filed. (Each call takes 30 minutes or more). Jan 8 called, replacement approval sent to Lowes Jan 3. Haven't heard from them. Will stop by (10 minutes from my house). Jan 10 stopped by Lowes. Customer service area was chaos and took me almost an hour to get help. Lowes spent over 30 minutes on phone with Frigidaire. Frigidaire says 2 departments for approval. Then ship to store. Lowes will notify. Jan 16 called, searching for 3rd party delivery, takes 7-10 days (start day 1/8) I'll call back next week. Jan 24 Lowes will be shipped the dishwasher by Frigidaire. A 3rd party will then come install it. Was told the process takes 3-4 weeks. Will call back on Feb 3.
Feb 10 no one knows what's going on (exact words of customer rep). Will call back Wednesday and speak to Manager. Was told managers only take escalated calls on Wednesdays (wish I had that option when I was in management). Feb 12 Cassandra at Lowes RPM department is on the case. Expect action within 2 days. Feb 14 Soja at Lowes takes care of my paperwork. I'm there for an hour and a half to pay for an install but thank you for being thorough Soja. (He tries to get Frigidaire to cover the install but they said they don't have the ability to do that. Imagine that, a huge company doesn't have the ability to write a check.) (6 hours invested since replacement was approved Jan 3. Different answer on the process each time I called. Never did get to speak with a manager from Frigidaire.)
Lowe's. Swap scheduled for Wed 2/26 1-5p. Disappeared off schedule. No clue what happened. Waited all day for nothing. Get a call from Lowes saying they need the metal plate from the broken one brought to them so they can get their credit or I can buy the dishwasher replacement and be refunded after they get their credit. This is not acceptable to me but I don't hear back from them on an alternate solution.
New install date with different company 3/11 1-5p. Not on truck. Was never on truck because apparently he was supposed to uninstall my unit that day. Waited all day again for nothing. Was told it would take 2 more visits, one to remove, do paperwork and get their credit, 2nd visit to install. This was not acceptable for me to take 2 more days off work. I was again given the option to buy the dishwasher replacement and get refunded when they received their credit. I declined. They were able to schedule it to all be done on 3/16. Shout out to Achey Doors for helping me end this ordeal.
New install date 3/16 10-2 (removal and installation completed). 3 DAYS BEFORE MY 1 YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRES I have a working dishwasher. ($149 for the install and 3 days of lost wages. About 2 more hours spent in phone time. The only reason this got done is because I called Lowes and demanded a manager.) Thank you Colleen for straightening out this install issue.
It took Frigidaire and Lowes 2 1/2 months to get a replacement sent to store and then installed at my house (10 minutes from Lowes). I wonder how many Frigidaire dishwashers were sold through that Lowes location during this time that it took to get 1 unit to my house. In my estimation this is what this $350 dishwasher has cost me:
10 months with an inoperable unit28 hours phone time for repair/replacement
11 days time off work (I work days and they only work days, no evenings or weekends so each time it was at least a half day off work. My boss is as annoyed as I am.)
$150 for installation on replacement unit.
A mountain of time and frustration for something that was supposed to make my life easier.
What have I learned from this? Even though you may trust the brand, it is VITAL to learn if they have good customer service, and that they have a streamlined process for repairs and replacements, BEFORE you make your purchase. These companies may have a good reputation in name but if they can't deliver in the customer service department then it's not worth your investment of money, or more importantly, your time you can't get back.
Several times I was stood up by 3rd party repairmen and installers. Several times I was given different information from Frigidaire on where we were at in my replacement process (read above, it changed every time I called.) Several times Lowes seemed more concerned about how they were going to be credited by Frigidaire instead of how I was going to receive a working dishwasher.
You would think these companies would be dealing with repairs and warranty replacements all the time and that they would know how to do this efficiently. The calls I made felt like this was their first time something didn't work. The only discount I was ever offered was a free hose and cord from Lowes and 10% back from my purchase (yeah, $35 was really going to make up for all those lost wages. I declined.) I was never put in touch with a manager with either company until I demanded one.
When I was in management I learned to be grateful for complaints. Most people will just walk away and that won't help you resolve problems. I'm hoping that Frigidaire and Lowes can learn from my experience and become better. I'm glad this wasn't a vital appliance like a refrigerator or washing machine. By the way, I wasn't given a receipt with the replacement unit so let this be my matter of record that the 1 year warranty on this replacement unit begins 3/16/20, the date it was installed.
If either of these companies wants to rectify all these mishaps I will say my side-by-side refrigerator (the freezer specifically) is starting to go, my dryer takes 2 cycles to dry, and my washer only runs on the 8 minute wash cycle. Not expecting anything but an offer would be nice as I will be needing to replace these appliances but I will need to know I can rely on you and the track record hasn't been great.

I bought this dishwasher in June 20, 2019 and already is broken. At first it was not drying properly. I didn’t mind at first. I could always dry it by hand. Then two weeks ago stop draining at all. So I call for service, the person they send, are accused me of putting garbage. Of course, my blood pressure went up. I’m not new with this stupid appliances. I clean houses for a living. I load and unloaded dishwasher. I owned dishwasher prior to this new one. Mind you I’d lived in my house for over ten years and had no problem with it. If not the ugly looking and rusting. I will not have change it. It works and cleaned properly. So since I renovate my kitchen. I thought new appliances would be great. I snapped at the worker. Of course he make a note that I misused the machine and therefore they are not fixing it. I have to pay in order for them to foxed a less than five months old machine. Beware of this company, never will I ever buy from them again!

I bought this dishwasher from the Brick in mid-August/19. It was delivered on Sept 5/19. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever had. It does not do a good job of cleaning the dishes, especially in the back. It is flimsy and noisy. I am very disappointed with it. No wonder it is discontinued - although I did not know that at the time of purchase. Really disappointed with this product. I want to return it and buy a better one. Good luck to me.

Purchased in January 2018 and has been a nightmare ever since. (Our old Frigidaire dishwasher lasted about 20 yrs, before we had to replace it last year, due to it leaving rusty-looking brown spots on our dishes. That one had a good run, so, of course, we opted to stick with Frigidaire for this purchase. Unfortunately, their product quality has GREATLY DECLINED over the years!) THIS DISHWASHER started giving us problems several months after purchase! The very first year, we had to have it serviced NUMEROUS TIMES, for different reasons:
1) It was leaving orange, gritty residue all down the inside of the door, after running a cycle. (I was told to stop using detergent pods, and to run the kitchen faucet on hot, full blast, before running each cycle, to assure the water in the pipes getting pumped into the washer was hot enough to clean the dishes - something I never had to do with our old one!) 2) It wouldn't start and the digital panel kept malfunctioning. (An ongoing issue, which has started up again now, even after having had the entire panel replaced.) 3) The soap dispenser wouldn't open until AFTER the cycle FINISHED, then I'd open the door to see the soap running all down the inside, making a mess. (Separate issue from #1 - had this replaced, as well, and it is a current issue again, now.)
Numerous complaints, numerous repairs (the same pieces kept needing fixing/repair/replacing) and still, Frigidaire refused to replace our machine. So, every few months, we've just had to keep calling the repair guy to do his thing. Now we're out of warranty and BOTH THE SOAP DISPENSER AND THE DISPLAY/START PANEL ARE ACTING UP AGAIN, and we were told it would cost more to repair than to simply buy a new one! ($107 for the repair guy to just show up and do nothing, btw.)
I can't afford to buy ANOTHER new dishwasher yet, so now I'm stuck with this one til I can save up the money to replace it. Repair guy told me, in the meantime, I can just "start the washer without detergent, then open the door and toss in a pod after the rinse cycle completes after about 20 min), so now I, ironically, have to go back to the pods, again. And that's IF the darn thing actually decides to start for me at all! Honestly, I just want this thing out of my house! Never again, Frigidaire - NEVER AGAIN!!!

MODEL: FPHD2491KFO. Purchased Jan 2013. I bought this model by reputation...perceived reputation that Frigidaire was a quality product. Especially since it is a Professional Series model which costs hundreds more than a standard model. I have had it 6 years. The first uh-oh/'what the' that I noticed, too late, after being installed, was that the lower rack wheels don't fit through the door without 'interference' from the door seals. And even after that many years of practice to persuade them past trying not to damage the seals, I sometimes do so at the cost of it rolling off the tracks!!!
Uh-oh 2 came about after the dishes weren't getting cleaned. Found that the way we arranged dishes held the soap door closed. And with the upper rack in lower position, it too kept it partially closed (see number 5...). Uh-oh 3, after 3 years, the silverware rack bottoms fell out. Uh-oh 4, after 4 years, the panel and/or control board developed issues and it now will only run one cycle, the only one that displays no matter which button is pressed. Note that the control panel is 'conveniently' located on top of the door...where it can't be seen when closed. Not to mention that is the perfect landing place for any water/liquid that runs off the counter. (Did I mention the 4 kids...) It also is the position where heat/steam will travel, especially when you have to open the door to see the control panel when it is running. Hey engineers that designed this, NICE place for 'planned replacement part'.
Number 5: The upper rack. It has a nice feature. It can be lowered to allow taller cups or raised to allow taller items in lower rack. But that had a cost. The roller system, in my opinion, is badly designed. To incorporate the raise/lower feature, that structure uses space on each side reducing width of the rack. And I'd like to meet the genius that thought of the cantilevered wheels for the upper rack. The wheels are 4 inches apart, the front one being 6 inches from the back of the rack. The rack is 20.5 inches. Which means that the front wheel has constant 'lever' force of the weight of whatever is in front 2/3 of the rack!!! And the wheel is attached via the same material that the rack is made of; 1/4 plastic coated rod. Nothing extra to carry that weight. No angled support or thicker rod or...
Think about it this way. Load rack, stress/flex wheel rod. Blast with hot soapy water, then with hot water and heat to dry. Allow to cool. Unload rack, release wheel rod tension. Repeat this process several times a week for years... Needless to say, after 5.5 years the front wheels broke off. Apparently the plastic coating failed, because the wheel has a rusted rod still in it... Note that before wheel failure, the rack began sagging, lowering the front and further impeding the soap dispenser door!!
The last straw. Finding replacement parts. The upper rack wheel assembly part is a 'frame', made of the same 1/4 inch plastic coated rod. There is one on each side, attached to the rack with 4 clips. The rack is still good. So I searched for the wheel 'frames'. They are not available. They only come with a 'complete rack' which is $104; part number 5304475618. They had to have planned this. How could they NOT KNOW that those front wheels would fail. So it is either
a) they knew and planned/allowed for it to fail (increase parts sales??!?)b) the designers/managers/company really really really
i) did not care
ii) didn't know better (scary!!)
iii) disregarded or didn't understand the laws of physics
iv) did think that 1/4 inch plastic coated rod would be better for the wheels than...perhaps, maybe... I don't know. Stainless steel!!?? The same material as the walls of the machine??!? So now the dilemma is how to get it operational again.

For $255, I can get my washer back in action by using the 'only wash mode it knows'. Or if one of the boards is the problem, then it will be $370 to $400. If both boards are bad, $520!!! For a machine that is only 6 years old...cheaper to buy a new machine with ALL NEW parts. And of course, it WILL NOT BE Frigidaire!!!!
Parting statements. My opinion. I just really really really don't understand it. The machines I grew up with lasted 20 years. And those weren't even "Pro Series" models. I guess that was a problem so they had to change their business model. Since quality products last longer, and don't get replaced as often, that decreases demand. So now they have reverted to producing bad equipment in an attempt to increase demand via replacement?? Well, regardless of whether my opinion is correct or not, they have lost my demand.

Frigidaire uses 3rd party appliance repair services to repair appliances under warranty. A maintenance call was placed for my dishwasher which is under warranty through my customer care service, who contacted JD Appliances. (Please note that the Frigidaire customer service rep tried to sell me a maintenance plan for appliances that are still under warranty for another 6 months). The tech arrived at my home and stated that if it was an electrical problem, he was going to charge me $85 which is not covered under warranty. I asked him how he would know if he did not look at the dishwasher which is located under my cabinets. He proceeded to look under my sink and saw that it plugged up. He then took the bottom of the dishwasher and said it looked like the electric plug had come loose from the washer and demanded that I give him $85 on the spot for showing up and $150 to plug the unit back in.
I explained to him that I would call my builder's customer service, as everything in my home was under warranty. While on the phone with my customer care service he started yelling that I stole $85 from him and that he was going to call the police. He became so irate while I was trying to explain the situation over the phone that I had to tell him to get out of my home. He then proceeded to yell and curse saying he was going to call the police. While on the phone with customer care and trying to get him out the door he lunged at me in a threatening manner. While still on the phone with customer care who heard everything, I called the police to file a complaint. The conduct of this tech was horrendous. If these are the type of techs working for this company, it is my suggestion that no one use them for any type of service. If I could give this company a -0 that would be too high of a rating.

I purchased a Frigidaire 'scratch n dent' (described as "some blemishes") dishwasher in November 2018. It was crated except for the front which had a small indent at the right lower side of the front panel... Not a problem from my perspective. After having the dishwasher installed, I discovered that the upper basket was very difficult to slide in and out, to the point I felt like I would break something by forcing it. I called Frigidaire and they sent out a repairman to access the problem. Long story short, 1st repairman assessed the problem and left to order the part (a small wheel to the roller assembly), 2nd repairman came and found he only had one wheel, needed 2, left to order another. 3rd repairman came with parts, went to change out the bad part and discovered that the entire right side of the tub was caved in which was actually the problem. He said he didn't understand how the previous men had not seen that. He left to order another tub.
Several weeks later, I'm told a new tub is on the way and repairman will be here on Friday to install. Thursday night I get a call telling me the new tub they received is also defective (caved in on the side) and they have to order another one. The 2nd new tub arrives as does the repairman (4th one). He proceeds to disconnect the dishwasher preparing to install this new tub when he discovers that it didn't come with the factory riveted frame required. At this time the repairman decide the dishwasher is not repairable and contact Frigidaire with their findings. I was told Frigidaire would be giving me a new dishwasher, installation included at no cost to me.
Today, May 23, 2019 (6+ months later), I'm told that all Frigidaire will do is give me a store credit for the price I paid for the dishwasher. Being a scratch n dent, the store does not have another at the price I paid to replace mine. This was obviously a factory defect (caved in inner tub), not a 'scratch n dent'. I am shocked at how Frigidaire has handled this issue. 'Scratch n dent' is one thing. A major factory defect is another. I have owned Frigidaire products in the past and have been happy with their performance. But, this experience with their customer service is completely unacceptable. I will NOT purchase another product from them.

Updated on 08/24/2019: Still the worst dishwasher I have EVER owned. After sharing my dissatisfaction with a Frigidaire rep, I was advised to buy a 'drying agent'. Did that. Also was advised to use less detergent. Not sure why....my complaint included the fact that the dishes did were not clean at the end of the wash cycle. So now I am using a drying agent that you can smell on the dishes, because in addition to the fact that the dishwasher does not clean the dishes well, it also does not rinse the dishes well. And it does not dry the dishes AT ALL. Forget holding the "AIR DRY" button for 3 seconds....big joke.
Plus, they advise you to almost completely clean your dishes before loading, you also have to arrange everything according to specific instructions: one spoon up, one spoon down. My dishes are dirty, covered with detergent/drying agent residue after a wash/dry cycle, and soaking/dripping wet after the non-existent dry cycle. STEER CLEAR OF FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCTS. I AM ALSO DISSATISFIED WITH THE FRIDGE AND STOVE INCLUDED IN THE GALLERY SERIES.
Original Review: I only purchased this dishwasher to match the rest of my gallery appliances. Not happy with fridge...one drawer does not fit, screeches horribly when you open it and takes a bit of effort to open as well. The stove started rusting around the glass immediately, like two months within purchase. I did not return as we were newly relocated and remodeling older home and I had to choose my battles. My older, white dishwasher worked awesome and I blame myself mostly for replacing 3 years later only to 'match' the other appliances.
This Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher does not clean well and leaves a detergent residue on the dishes which can be smelled and tasted. If you use the more powerful wash cycle it melts plastic that is labelled as dishwasher safe and has broken my glasses. The 'air dry' option (what in the world does this mean?? Does it blow air?? Can't hear that happening). The dishes are still dripping water hours later. The 'spikes' that are supposed to hold dishes in place are not placed well and it takes a lot of time to load the dishwasher while trying to make sure the dishes stay in place and do not get broken. I hate this dishwasher and plan to replace it as soon as I possibly can.

I bought this in Sept. of 2016. So I called Frigidaire as soon as they opened (May 2019, at 8:30AM) and sat on hold for about 45 minutes. Around 9:15 a woman got on the phone with me and started taking my info. She was nice, but had to put me on hold 2 times. She informed me that we need to have an independent 3rd party person come out and verify it is broken. (Not unreasonable.) She also informed me that we would have to pay for the service call. (Unacceptable.) It is now 9:50 and I’ve asked to talk to a supervisor. I’m on hold. The supervisor told me that their offer is good for 30 days. Because we did not buy an extended warranty they will give us 50% off on any parts we need. We are responsible for any labor (or I can do it myself).
Extended warranties are code for "Our product sucks." I am handy and the family business is in HVAC. I've seen and replaced heating elements over the last couple of DECADES. I've never seen a warped element. This is a clear example of shoddy materials and Frigidaire has lost a customer. I will even make sure I don't buy anything from the Electrolux brand again, ever. Their resolution was unacceptable.
I'm sure there will be other reviews saying how amazing they are. Caveat Emptor. If this happens to you, don't say you weren't warned. Mistakes happen when you make millions of units every year, that's not the problem. Crappy customer service and not standing behind your product is the issue. The dishwasher failed first, followed by the Microwave. (I have not yet inspected why our microwave has a blue flash you can see through the cracks and blows the circuit breaker every time you try and use it - this also just started happening.) The switch mechanism, attached to the handle to open the dishwasher is rated at 12 amps... The dishwasher, has an operational rating of 10 amps per your label inside... Your design is causing an issue of overloading components, and causing high levels of heat (burned wires, burned connections, melted switches), and, causing parts to fail, and potentially catch fire!
This is not right! THIS DISHWASHER IS 1.5 YEARS OLD!!! - and, to add to it, a group of neighbors, all part of the same development, have replaced the same parts on their Frigidaire appliances as well, or just simply tossed their appliances out. I have the extended service agreement which means I’ve already put more money into it though have not been honored under this agreement. I’ve been told many things and mostly the only solution that customer service likes to tell me is to let them send a different technician company to the unit. I did this after the first visit and it messed everything up as far as a 30 day guarantee so I keep the same technician so I don’t have to start over.
It’s February now and I’m still waiting. The last thing that has to be done is for the technician and Frigidaire engineer to agree it’s not fixable which lets me get a replacement unit. This has already happened in front of me yet Frigidaire has no record of this for some reason. Their solution once again is to send a different technician. I have talked to customer service minimum once a week for 90 days now. All but 3 (Jennifer, Courtney, unknown male) has actually been nice. Most answer in such a miserable way. They are already defensive. Sometimes they just argue. I am a really nice person and very patient and don’t understand why they talk to me the way they do. Updated on 06/01/2018: We had the repairman come today with a new motor (which was provided under the Frigidaire warranty, even though the removal and re-installation of the dishwasher in order to replace the motor was not) for our new dishwasher, only to discover that it was another faulty motor. Now he has to order yet another motor to replace the faulty one that was replacing the other faulty one. Why Frigidaire won’t just replace the dishwasher. Not good enough!

Frigidaire/Electrolux phone has "new" voice activated system that doesn't work. This according to the representative I finally got on my 11th call. Lowe's referred me directly to the repair service used by Electrolux - 15 days later and the part still is not in. "Maybe Friday" they say (that's 2 more days to get the part in THEN we schedule the repair visit). Frigidaire has my warranty proof of purchase and then on the next call they don't. The repair service called me to complain that the Frigidaire customer service rep was rude to her. This is a cluster catastrophe from start to finish - and I am still washing dishes by hand hoping nothing else breaks.

We have had several techs of theirs come out and say nothing is wrong with it but they don't stay till the cycle rubs through. It runs for almost 2 hours normally but does not dry. The service tech came on May 11th and the night after we started the dishwasher at 10 till 7 and was still running. After 10:00 we had to shut it off and it never went through the drying cycle... Now they say if they come back we will be charged and it's still under warranty. All we want is a working dishwasher and they can't even do that... I will never buy a Frigidaire product again. Authorized Frigidaire repair man came and said it was the air loop. I said it is the motor to drain. He made an air loop. This worked sometimes, but then stopped. Dirty water standing in bottom. Error message i30 and the dishwasher doesn't run. I read online that the power sensor was defective in this machine and that it must be updated for the dishwasher to work. We bought an entire kitchen of Frigidaire's nicest appliances. I've owned 8 or more new dishwashers over the last 25 years. This is the very worst. The touch panel is extremely sensitive. If it gets touched more than 3 times in a row, it times out and I have to turn off my breaker to reset it. It barely gets them clean. Barely. You have to scrub every item before running a cycle. There is nothing good about this appliance. Nothing. Do not buy it. It is worth spending more money on a dishwasher. You will save yourself wrinkles, frustration, gray hairs, curse words and having to rewash loads of dishes.

Just had my kitchen remodeled complete with a new Frigidaire dishwasher (model FFBD2406S11B). The dishwasher washed marginally the first couple of cycles, but after that it did a good job. However, after just 3 1/2 weeks of use the door began to pop open mid-cycle, but the dishwasher continued to run! It appears the plastic tub expands when it gets hot enough and the latch becomes misaligned. That is not the only problem though. The worst is that the handle sticks and keeps the dishwasher running.

Bought this D/W (Model FGID2466QF4A) in October 2015 and it did its job well and quietly until Dec last year. It started making loud grinding noises so we had a local appliance repair company take a look. Prognosis was that the pump motor was the cause. This machine's filters have never been clogged and after 2 years of once weekly light use looks almost as good as new. My conclusion is that Frigidaire has built in obsolescence or uses sub-standard parts. Frigidaire people were unhelpful and simply didn't think a motor failing so soon was an issue. More fool me for not taking an extended warranty, although I see many complaints about their after-sales workmanship that ensures our next appliance will NOT be a Frigidaire!

Bought from Best Buy, and after about two weeks, noticed grime inside, as well as water not draining. A third party tech came out and said it needs to be cleaned at least every two weeks, so I began cleaning the filter regularly. (At my old house we had a Samsung that never once had an issue or needed constant cleaning). Even after cleaning the filter weekly, there was still grime, and now even mold growing on the utensil basket and the racks. Called the 3rd party appliance company again - they did diagnostic testing, suggested we try a different detergent and rinse aid, and not wash plastics (which floored me, why do I have a dishwasher if I can't wash anything plastic?) He said in thirty years of being a tech, the dishwashers have become so regulated that without dryers in them, water beads on the plastic and won't dry. He also ran a cycle with a cleaner called Glisten, which helped clean the inside a bit.
We tried everything he suggested, and he followed up two weeks later. Still not cleaning dishes AT ALL. I'm not sure how the engineers at Frigidaire decided this was a good product, as it is incapable of doing the only job it is intended to do. His final visit, he spoke with Frigidaire techs, who ruled it 'unfixable' and gave a reference number for us to call and begin the process to get it replaced. (He also warned me Frigidaire would fight tooth and nail against me, even though I now had the reference number).
My first call to their consumer affairs the normal process was to have a tech provide me a reference number. When I said that is what I am calling with, he said he would 'have to check on the conversation between their tech and the guy who worked on our washer.' If I hadn't heard in two days, to call back. Not hearing, I called back and this time was told the only note they saw was 'improper loading of dishes', which wasn't a manufacture issue and they won't be replacing it. She then offered to sell me some cleaner to 'make the stainless' sparkle and asked if there was anything else she could help with. I just said "No, but I will keep calling back to speak with someone else." Looks like it will be a battle.

I'm having to call around today to see if I can find someone else to try to install it, because the one I have now is dead. It worked fine one day, and quit working the next. He was a genius! The machine worked very well for some time but the same thing happened the second time. I am finished with Frigidaire! This is what happened.
I found water on the floor in front of the dishwasher, so we called the insuring company and a repairman was sent. He opened the door and immediately said, "I see the problem." The heating element had warped and bent so that it touched the floor of the machine which melted, causing it to leak. We were without a dishwasher until the repairman heard back from the company. Then we waited for parts. We did not expect any further problems but now, the same thing has happened with the heating element warping and melting a hole in the floor of the dishwasher. We can't find the insurance papers (they're probably outdated anyway). What I really would like to find out is this: What caused this to happen? (I called the store where we purchased the machine and they said they'd not heard of this happening before.)

Come to find out that the service call which they arranged was NOT covered, because "only functional repairs are covered." (No contract, no information about this.) We were told that the green light was illuminating a picture of a lock, indicating that the unit was locked to prevent children from activating it, etc.
The agent at Frigidaire whom we talked with was in a position to simply tell us that the unit was locked. Surely they have some responsibility before dispatching a repairman to provide basic information about the machine. This happens on the normal and energy saver cycle. There is nothing in any of the drains and when a repairman came to fix it he called Frigidaire to find out what the repair should be and Frigidaire told him that we needed a new sensor and to make sure the hose was properly installed. $245 later the issue has not been solved and when talking with Frigidaire they cannot be sure that the problem was that so the best they could do was to offer us 10% off the next part which MAY fix the problem.
The dishwasher was $629 to begin with and only 2.5 years old! Also they offered me a new warranty that I could add to the dishwasher after it was fixed. We weren't asking for money back but to pay the difference to get it fixed. Why would I put another $250? plus a warranty into a dishwasher that cost $629 to begin with? I think we have a bad circuit board. Since the one year warranty has elapsed I have had the water light go out on the refrigerator, a safety gas valve replaced on my oven and now the dishwasher! I purchased a Frigidaire Dishwasher Oct 22 2016. Ours lost all power on 4/18/2017 and to date we still do not have a working dishwasher after calling the manufacturer at least three times. They refuse to send us a new one. First the repair company Fuller Appliance said it was the circuit board, a week and half later a different guy said it was another part. More waiting over a week and now the motor needs to be replaced. I got no help from the manufacturer. Spoke with Taylor and William her supervisor. They insisted that I had to have the appliance company replace the parts. So now over a month with no dishwasher that I paid 500.00 for. This is the worst customer service I have seen. So what other parts to be replaced next week. DON'T EVER BUY Frigidaire if at all possible.

I purchased a smudge proof, stainless steel Frigidaire dishwasher in December 2015 for $539. Within a year, the power board blew out. At that time I purchased an extended warranty plan directly through Frigidaire for another few hundred dollars. Well, this past Friday the dishwasher caught fire in my home. The fire department responded by ripping the unit out of my house and putting it on my back deck. I was instructed to not put this unit back in my home at any cost. Frigidaire sent a tech out and they will not replace the unit, but rather repair it. Repair an item that almost burned my house. If I had not been home, that is what would have happened. It was not even running! Frigidaire absolutely refuses to make this right.

We just bought and installed a brand new top of the line Frigidaire Dishwasher. It was put in last week. I was excited to see how it worked because I have never owned a brand new dishwasher before. The first load of dirty dishes I tried to clean came out looking like they were just put in the washer. I do pre-rinse my dishes too (sometimes with soap) before putting them in dishwashers. I noticed that the Finish detergent pod that came in a sample pack with the dishwasher was on the bottom (about halfway dissolved). I didn't take any of the dishes out, I threw the Finish pod away and put in a Cascade pod to see if that made any difference. No luck.
The second time I ran the dishwasher, the dishes still looked like they hadn't been run through the washer once. The Cascade pod was also half-dissolved. The 3rd time I ran the dishwasher I actually put in some rinse-aid along with a brand new detergent pod to see if it would clean. Nope. The dishes still weren't clean and the detergent pod was still halfway dissolved. Last night I decided to try it again for the 4th time - same result as every other time. Most of my dishes have been run all 4 times through the dishwasher and only about 3 dishes have gotten decent enough to put away in the cabinet. ALL the dishes should be clean after 4 cycles!!! I am looking into replacing or returning this lemon of a dishwasher.

We have had nothing but problems. The repair people were out 4 times then replaced it. Unless all of the dishes are rinsed well they come out with food particles. The dishes are always wet no matter what cycle I try. I bought a much less expensive unit for my condo and it works 100 times better than this model (Gallery).

My dishwasher is 13 months old and already has had 3 service calls. The first one within the first 45 days of having it. Now it is 13 months old and out of warranty. The part that needs to be fixed come to find out is being replaced by a better part. It seems the quality of the part was substandard and they now have a replacement. I did get them to pay for the part but and stuck with a 149.00 service call fee. I was told "If I had paid $159 for a three year extended warranty it would be covered". That like saying pay $159 because in 13 months our products with the "substandard" parts break at this point. Never again will I buy a product with their name.

I just went into the basement and noticed dishwasher(Gallery Dishwasher Model FGBD2438PF) leaking, shut it off. Looking for leak and found, like others here, that heating element warped and burned through the plastic bottom of the dishwasher. Dishwasher was purchased 3/2015. Just contacted Frigidaire about this issue - this is a design and faulty part issue. The heating element is only supported by 2 clips, where it should have at least 3. The bottom of the unit should be steel not plastic. Heating element failure, warped.

I purchased that Gallery Dishwasher FGID2477RF on May 7, 2016. It stopped working February 25, 2017, less than a year after I purchased it Pacific Sales (Best Buy). I called Frigidaire on or about February 26, which arranged with a local Honolulu company to come out to check on the problem today Friday 3/3/27 between 12 noon and 5:00PM. The repair person never showed up. I also called the repair company at about 3;50pm to remind them about the service call, no response. It seems that Frigidaire did not arrange for a repairman to come and check on the problem.
Needless to say that the quality of their product is of the poorest quality available with tons of complaints and mostly only one (1) star. It is amazing that a company with such inferior product and service to match can stay in business. If you want to do yourself a favor stay away as far from FRIGIDAIRE as you can, you will only regret purchasing their poor quality products! The web is full of complaints and not just a few, but in the hundreds!

We bought a new dishwasher almost a year ago. Model #fgid2474qf40, Serial #kh52533619 Right from the start it was not working properly. Service came to our house just to tell us there was nothing wrong with it. Finally after three visits spanning several weeks they fixed the problem with new parts. After 9 months the dishwasher started to have problems again and got worse and worse. We called again. Somebody came after two weeks and the repair man decided new parts were need.
It is now a month since the repair man was here and the dishwasher now does not clean dishes at all. When we called Mellish, the authorized repair firm they advised they were still waiting for parts. A month to get parts is ridiculous. We are now without our dishwasher for 2 months. I cannot believe they jerk us over and over. Obviously the dishwasher is a lemon and belongs to the garbage, not in a kitchen. I am extremely upset about this. We have a useless piece in the kitchen and we feel defrauded. It is a horrible product and the service Frigidaire provides is even worse. Do not even think about buying a Frigidaire product. Stay away!

I bought a dishwasher in July 2016. It is now February 2017 and the unit hasn't actually worked yet. Every time I call the customer service center, they recommend more service. The unit has been serviced 3 times already plus 2 more service appointments where the tech never showed up because Frigidaire never communicated to the service company. Frigidaire refuses to replace the unit or refund the purchase price. I (a professional mechanical engineer) am not allowed to contact the factory.
I was told that the service tech fixing the unit must communicate with the factory tech in Georgia. Even if the service tech in my house deems the unit not repairable, the factory tech can still mandate additional repair against the advise of the service tech with eyes on the unit. I am at my wit's end because either my husband or myself need to miss work (income) for each service appointment. We have missed more hours of income than it would cost for a new dishwasher. Call me old fashioned, but shouldn't a brand new dishwasher not require multiple repairs or replacement of parts?

I have had the TOP OF THE LINE PRO Series dishwasher for 15 months. The 30-minute wash does not dry at all. The dishes are completely wet (and yes the "air dry" is off!). If I use "Normal Wash" I must put the "High" option on so they dry (and yes I do use rinse aid). I feel like I use a lot of rinse aid in this machine too. I feel like if I do not use the HIGH, and SCOUR options on the dishes won't clean or dry properly. And yes my water is over 120 degrees. I like it hot to disinfect. It's kinda sad you can't get the DW to simply clean and dry the dishes on a basic setting.
Maybe next time they design a new DW, they should install them at the CEO's house first before they throw their design flaws to the general public. Why are we the guinea pigs? And you know what I really hate, stupid engineers who never figure out that these products end up being USED by people. So why do these engineers make their creations and never realize they don't work in the REAL WORLD. Hello manufacturers stop selling us pretty stuff and start offering us appliances that WORK!
Oh by the way, the little musical sound that it sings when you turn off or turn on is way too low (This is where engineers are really dumb). Older people cannot hear the pitch of the sound. My 60-year-old husband can never hear that twinkle sound, let alone figure out the "on" sound opposed to the "off" sound. My hearing is younger than his and I have a difficult time with it also.
Hey engineers, install one of these DW in your grandmother's house. Ask her if she can hear the ringy dingy sound. One more thing, why are the washes so long? Options jump from 30 minutes to 90 minutes (NO I DO NOT BELIEVE ENERGY SAVER IS A LEGITIMATE SETTING @75 minutes because it doesn't wash or dry!). There should be a 60-minute wash that can clean well and dry the dishes completely like my old DW. I am posting this because Frigidaire would not post the above review and comments. The truth must be told. They do not care about the consumer because others like myself complained about the same thing but Frigidaire censored me.

If you thinking about purchasing a Frigidaire dishwasher, DON'T! I've had my dishwasher for only just over one year. There were a couple of times that I smelled something burning in my kitchen, but I attributed it to possibly a panhandle burning on the stove. Little did I know, it was my dishwasher! Yes, my dishwasher! Two days ago I noticed my hardwood floors starting to warp and were soaked with water. Upon investigating, I realized that there was a hole burned into the bottom of my dishwasher. It appears as though the heating element overheated and warped. It is touching the plastic on the left side and melted a hole completely through the unit. It also melted the underside of the spray arm. And no, I've never abused my dishwasher! I am currently working with Frigidaire for compensation. We may have to hire a lawyer for help.

I too have had trouble since day one with dishwasher. 1st year a bit over the motherboard went bad. Had that replaced on my dime no insurance plan, so decided to get insurance. Good thing I did. 6 months later it started to leak out the front door on one side. Called repair person. I said I do believe the seals need to be replaced on the sides. His remark was that's just for ornamental design. WHAT??? Repair men said it wasn't level and wasn't their job to fix that, but he did tweak it a bit. Minutes after he left, I ran a cycle and water just poured out of both sides instead of just one side... Called back immediately, they sent another repair person out but this time it took 3 weeks to get here. He was only here 5 minutes looked it over and said yup its leaking out the front... Dahhh. Oh ya I asked for him to replace the seals. He said because it's a stainless steel tub I have to order it from warehouse.
Ok well its been over 1 month now and 2 calls later to repair company, why is this part taking so long to get? All I can do is leave a message on his cell phone, no call back no repair and I still have a 2 1/2 yrs old dishwasher that is destroying my new cabinets from the leaking... I placed plastic cups on the bottom of both sides to prevent leaking water damage, but sometimes it gets kicked over and water everywhere, we are talking up to a cup of water at times. I will not buy another Frigidaire appliance again, I'm going on my second Frigidaire microwave now as well. 1st time around I didn't get the warranty don't ya know I definitely did this time!!!... Gallery design STINKS... Looks are beautiful, but beauty doesn't get the job done.

Frigidaire apologized for the "inconvenience " I promised with the next delivery they'd do the "white glove service" & unpack & inspect it before delivery as not to waste my time. 5th delivery, drain assembly defective. Sent back Frigidaire said "white glove" service wasn't done but promise to fo it for the 6th delivery. Ohh, & our New floors were scratched during delivery .This has been over 4 months, thanksgiving & Christmas & they've referred to it as an inconvenience & hiccups... We're way past hiccups & inconvenience.
So recent update on dishwasher mess. 6th dishwasher scheduled today for delivery. They have now postponed us till Sat. They asked me to review my appliance, this was their response. They our schedule delivery & postpone with 24 hours notice. My time is valuable. I have had to be here repeatedly to take delivery on defective or damaged items. No one will take responsibility or resolve this. Delivery people say it's a defective unit, Frigidaire blames delivery people & Home Depot says they aren't in control. They just place the order & take your money.

Gallery fgcd2456qf4b - Have had this model for a little over 1 year. Had the display/controls console replaced under warranty about 6 mos ago. Broke again on Christmas Eve. Contacted Frigidaire and questioned them outright about the history of this problem with this and other models. Was told it was a non-issue. I responded with "You are telling me there is not one issue reported due to the same problem?" They said not a one. Obviously after reading these reviews I found that to be an outright lie. They told me they would cover the cost of the part but the labor would be on me since I failed to renew my warranty. My bad but the unit is only a year old! I would definitely not recommend this dishwasher to anyone. Shame on Frigidaire!

I can't recall ever owning a Frigidaire dishwasher in the past but this summer my dishwasher went out and this is what I ended up with. It is a brand new dishwasher and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When my husband purchased it he thought that if he went with a middle of the road price that we would get a quality dishwasher. I don't really need all the bells and whistles, I just want clean dishes. We did not end up with a quality dishwasher. This dishwasher does have a delay start which is good for any family. That feature does work correctly. It also has 4 wash cycles and a rinse only cycle. Again, good features. However, this summer we did have to have it repaired because it would not turn on.
The control panel had gone out. The repair person said that it was common. He also said we needed to only push the start button to begin the washing cycle if we used the same cycle most of the time. Sometimes that will work, other times it will not. The biggest problem that this dishwasher has is that when you push the start button it will sound like it is beginning but you come back a half hour later and the "high temp" and "heat" buttons are flashing. This happens about 9 out of 10 times that I use my dishwasher. To say this is frustrating is a huge understatement. That and the fact that many times after the wash cycle is complete I still have dirty dishes makes me an unhappy customer.

Since time of installation, the dishwasher has became increasingly loud exceeding what I believed unreachable decibel level for a dishwasher. Also, now it is leaking from the bottom. Frigidaire, you need to STOP MAKING PRODUCTS SO UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE FOR CONSUMERS.
