I had two bedrooms re-carpeted, and one bedroom installed with laminate flooring. The rep was timely and friendly. He was not shy about delivering his opinion on what I should do and he was a little pushy. The installation team was very timely and super friendly. They did a good job. I had used Empire before in a previous house years ago and they were great from start to finish. At that time, they were doing the 50% carpet padding installation. That worked out great because I got the 50% all the way through. It's the same quality carpeting padding. But this time, it was not the one that was on sale.
I chose the laminate floor for the one bedroom, but my initial thought was to put the hardwood floating floor in there. But the salesman told me, "Oh, yeah. You can't do that because it'll be too high to match the other, the floor in the hallway." When I look at it now, that would not have been true. The laminate floor that's in there is lower than the floor in my hallway. So I wish I had gone with the hardwood.

Their salesman, Mike, did an awesome job and gave us a good price. He gave us what we wanted with no hardcore push and no upsells. The two guys who installed were very professional and they did a fantastic job. My experience was perfect.

I had carpet installed in two bedrooms, the hallway, and the stairs. I didn't like that neither one of the installers spoke very good English. But they were good guys and they cleaned up. There was a bunch of debris in my garage from where they were cutting the carpet but it's not like I had to work hard to clean it up.

The options were good, and the first guy that came out, the consult guy, was great. I knew exactly what I wanted, and he didn't pressure me. Everything was good there. The laminate flooring was installed in my living room, basement, family room, the hallway, and one of the bedrooms. It was almost the whole house, and installation took three days. The first day was good, but the second and third days were a little rough, mostly because the guys didn't have a bag on the saw. They covered my garage in sawdust and we weren't happy about that. My boyfriend was really ticked off. Other than that, it went fine.
I have the water-resistant laminate flooring, and it's good for pets. I was also amazed at how much dirt my carpet was holding. Now I have to sweep up a lot more because it doesn't hold it like the carpet did, but I like it a lot because the house is cleaner. The cost was about $10,000 more than I thought it was gonna be, but that's okay. It was expensive, but that included the new carpet too. So, I did two bedrooms. While the hardwood floor guys were great, I wasn't as happy with the carpet installer as I was with the other guys. The carpet installer was on his phone a lot, and he broke something in the house. I wasn't thrilled that he was by himself moving furniture, and that would be a big thing for Empire Today. If it's possible, they shouldn't send guys out by themselves.

Empire Today is extremely knowledgeable. The rep showed me everything I asked him to show me. He had samples. He had the books. He showed them and compared them to the floor that I had because I wanted something that’s close to the floor, which in five years I can't match them anymore. Also, Empire Today told me exactly the price, and when they could install the flooring. It was an easy thing to do.
The installers were supposed to come out one day and the guy contacted me. He said he got held up on the job. So, he kept me informed the whole time. I knew when they were coming, what they would do. He came the next morning, installed the wood flooring and did a great job. I thought it would take longer. But they were fast. They told me exactly how to take care of it and what to do, and if it got scratched and what the warranty was. They did a great job.

I had to make many appointments to have them put the flooring in because they thought it was just vinyl. But it was sheet vinyl. When they kept canceling the appointment, we got it squared away. The rep gave me a $150 discount. It was excellent. When the installers showed up, they had the right product. They were very professional. They installed it and it was a very perfect job. I would highly recommend Empire.

The sales rep of Empire was respectful and professional. He showed my mom everything that she indicated that she wanted to see. The installers had to pull up flooring 'cause there was carpet in the room and they disposed of it. They did the job, came timely and because it was a small bedroom, it didn't take them any time at all to do it. The quality of their work was good.

It's very convenient using Empire. I like that they move the furniture. The people that installed the flooring I purchased were professional, quiet and helpful. Overall, the flooring was okay. However, I could pull the thing. It's detached from the bottom. I was supposed to call in to ask the rep what was going on because my previous one was different. It sticks at the bottom.

Empire Today is responsive and reliable. They did the carpeting for the bedroom. We had gotten rid of the carpet pattern that was there. They had to clean the floor then they laid the carpet down. It turned out well.

I had Empire Today do a continuation of a job I had them do almost two years prior. I was very happy enough with the first job and I wanted to put more of the Broad Street vinyl planking in my house in other rooms. This install that they most recently did for me was in one bedroom and the bathroom. I took out the carpet in the bedroom and the tile in the bathroom, and continued the Broad Street vinyl planking that matched the rest of the house. The installation was done in one day and they had a whole crew that came out. They were on time and they made sure that the planking was an identical match to the existing flooring. I already cleared out everything from the room, so they were able to just get in and install the floor.
I wish that the company would do real baseboard but all they do is they put in this little quarter round. I did not want them putting in the quarter round because I chose to do my own baseboard. They still gave me the quarter round in case I wanted to use it in specific areas but it did match the floor exactly. Other than that, I like that the flooring is waterproof. I have dogs and cats and it has held up very well to them in the main part of the house, which is why I was glad to be able to put it in the other two rooms. All in all, I wanted my flooring to look like it was a continuous floor and Empire Today did exactly what I asked.

I had laminated wood installed in the whole house and carpet on the stairs. Empire Today's salesman was a good guy. I told him that if he gave me a good deal, he had the job. He got me the best deal, so that was what I did. But the installers were dirty and I didn't like them. They came to my house and they opened the windows and doors like it was their own house. They didn't even ask. They also told me to shut the heat off and it was cold. Then, they had to come back and that took a couple of more days. They made a lot of dust, too. I just painted my house last year, so I got to repaint it again. They don't take care of the people's house. They just do what they want, do their job, and get out of there. But other than that, I'm happy with the job they did.

The Empire rep was extremely helpful and pointed out tons of options for us. His name was Wade and we couldn't have an easier time of it. He set everything up. He went over all the warranty stuff. He really made sure that we were well-informed before we said, "Okay, go ahead." There were two guys who came to install the carpet. There were some issues with communication at first. But that got resolved, and then things went smoothly afterward. For what we got, it should have been $8,000. But we got it on the special of 50, 50, 50. But, all of a sudden after that, they went to $99 a room. They said, "Within 30 days if you find something, we'll do something about the cost." At 50, 50, 50, that was good. $99 a room would have been better, but the installation wouldn't have been cut in half.

I scheduled an appointment with Empire Today for a flooring estimate. I received at least 4 notices confirming my appt. A couple of hours prior to my appointed time, I received a call from them explaining they have no one in the area to give me an estimate. They said sometimes they "just don't have anyone in the area". I said "OK" and hung up. They called back and asked if I wanted to cancel. I told them they had already done that. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I told them I didn't believe they would show up to do the work if they can't even show up to give me an estimate.
A few days later someone from Empire Today called claiming to be from the "Corporate Office". He apologized and asked if I would reconsider and would I please allow them to come to my home and give me an estimate. He assured me they had made an error and that would not happen again. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. I received several more (at least 4) notifications during the week confirming my appointment. The appointment was for 3:00 - 5:00 today. I received a call at 2:30 and was told they have no one in the area. I said "OK" and hung up. Again they called back and asked if I wanted to cancel.
I called their office and there is no "Corporate Office" trying to do the right thing, only salesmen telling people what they want to hear. They wasted 3 weeks of my time waiting for them to come out. I am trying to recover from the Florida hurricane and they are careless with people. I am writing this review to let people know that if you choose to use this company you cannot trust the info given to you by the salespeople. They will lie or avoid truth just to meet their quota. They have no control over anything. I don't like to take time off work and not get paid because they can't show up or call giving me a reasonable amount of notice. Twice!!!! Shame on me!!! Good Luck.
Shonda, we always want our customers to be notified as soon as possible if their appointment time needs to be changed or cancelled for any reason, so we’re genuinely sorry to hear about your missed appointment. We've located your account, and we'll be in touch with you soon to further discuss this.

I really was interested in hardwood flooring but Empire's rep talked me into doing laminate flooring in the kitchen, living room, family room, bathroom, laundry room. He said that hardwood flooring was softer and that water damage mostly would happen to it. I could scratch it up too. I needed the flooring to be scratch-resistant, water-resistant, easy to clean, and pretty.
On the day of the installation, Empire called and said they would be there in half an hour. They were there in 25 minutes. They were very prompt. They had to tear out the carpet and hardwood flooring. They packed up the carpet and they took it away. They also had to move the toilet and I had to move the sink. I had disconnected the stove and the dryer because they were gas. The crew moved everything out of the way along with all the other furniture. They were very clean and they did all the cutting and everything outside. They worked nonstop and they did a great job. There were two of them. They took a break at the same time because they were constantly just working. They would pull up a section and refloor it. There was no place I couldn't walk or couldn't get to. The installation took two and a half days. I highly recommend my installers.
The flooring is beautiful. They did really nice work on the baseboard and the finishing. One of them wrapped my floor down to my basement. I was told, "Just don't put anything really harsh on the floor... don't scrub it with Ajax or something like that." I'm supposed to call Empire and get some sort of cleaning kit. I liked Empire. They were fast and professional. The only thing was the product that they sold me. It's the same product that I could see in Costco. Part of me wonders, "Could I have gotten it for a less amount?" I choose not to do the math because I got the installation done and I got the warranty. All in all, I'm happy with the job. I'm not upset about the money, but back of my mind I probably could have got it cheaper if I followed the salesman more.

I liked the salesman from Empire. He was working with me to try to get my business. He wasn't just, “Well, this is it. And that's it. You don't like it, tough.” He was very respectful. He said, “These are your choices.” When I said, “Well, I can't do that much money,” he started working with me and said, “Let's try this.” I said, “Look, this is what I want.” He called his manager, and the manager said, “Do this.” The installers were a family of six brothers and a sister, and they were fabulous. The job was supposed to take three days. It took one. They worked their butt off. They came in at 9:30, and they left around seven o'clock that night. I would recommend them any day. They did a great job.

Empire Today's price was ridiculous, but I needed to get it done, so I bit the bullet. Other than their pricing, everything went smooth. I talked to them on a Thursday, and they installed on Monday. We had Empire install laminated tile in the dining room, living room, hallways and steps. The rep was very informative and showed me some different examples, so it went well. I don't know how that happened but yesterday, I got some of those markers to cover the cracks. I'm gonna try that and see how it worked before I call.

I purchased some carpeting for the family room and the process went very smoothly. But looking back at it, it looked like the advertising that was done was an overstatement of the facts. We had a previous dealing with Empire Today and went with them again because of how pleased we were. We have a carpet company 10 blocks from us but we went with Empire and we would continue to do that. This time around, they sent a representative who showed us the floor and he was very personable and explained everything. We picked out what we wanted and they called when they were gonna come. I had carpet installed in the downstairs one bedroom and in the bedroom downstairs too. Empire was able to reduce the price to where I was more comfortable going with them instead of a different company at this time. I wasn't here when they installed it, but they were able to do what they needed to do. They vacuumed the room and I wasn't even sure about it. So, I vacuumed it myself and I got barely nothing up. I was very thankful for that. Whatever the vacuum that was, it was a good vacuum because I didn't get anything myself. The quality of their work was good. I looked on the cameras a couple of times to make sure everything was good and they were respectful of where they walked and what they wore.

Empire Today was so much more responsive. When I called them to make an appointment with a representative, they came out the next day and had all the flooring samples available. I was trying to match the original floor so I could patch an area. It wasn't available, so I ended up re-flooring the whole house. They scheduled that within a week and completed it within three days. They did a great job. It was a laminate flooring and they had to chip up two rooms that had white ceramic tile. My only issue was it should have been done in two days. They didn't bring enough flooring to complete one of the rooms so they had to come back but couldn't come back the next day. They had to wait until the next day. It was four days where everything was torn up. But it wasn't a big deal and I was very happy with the job they did.

Empire was slightly lower in cost and it seemed like there were a few benefits as far as the warranty. Their sales rep was patient and he took his time to explain everything. He showed me the basic samples and things that we can look at. My wife and I talked about it and the rep also put in his advice and recommendations. That helped us make a better decision.
We had Empire redo a stairway and a bedroom carpet. The installers pulled up some of the old carpet and pad. They were methodical in the way they did it. It was quick and easy. They didn’t interfere with anything we were doing during the day. The first project took about five hours and the second one took two. The work they did was better than what I've seen in a while from other companies. Each installation had two people. Everybody was engaged and they weren't standing around. Everything is clean and there are no defects in the flooring. I didn't see anything that I didn't like. I was told to wipe down the flooring with a wet warm cloth and not to use chemicals. Definitely give Empire a try.

Empire's sales rep was really nice. She explained a bunch of things to us and showed us the samples and gave us an overview. We selected from the samples. We did carpeting and flooring. Those were installed the next day. However, we needed time to clean our house and everything else over three weeks. The installation went okay, except for a couple of things. Mostly, it was the tile. They had miscalculated how much of the trim they needed for the tile, so they had to come back the next week to finish it.
The gentleman that came to fix it did a really nice job. It was just the waiting part. We couldn't put our fish tank back up because the flooring area was in the area of the house that had the fish tank on it. They needed the carpet available. In the meantime, six of our fish died because we couldn't get them back into their tank. We had to start over when we put our fish tank back together.
That issue aside, the carpeting is about the same color as what I had in here. It had been in here for 28 years and it had places where it was worn. The new carpet looks wonderful. But we'll eventually have to have Empire come out and pull this carpet a little more to tighten it up because there are a few spots where it's not quite as tight as it could be against the wall or a door opening. We've got the one spot where they had to wait for the trim. I've noticed that it's a squeaky spot against a cement floor. That aside, I love the tile that's in the kitchen and the bathroom.

Empire Today had the worst service trying to get a new floor. We've been living in our garage for a week now because the demo crew led by Raphael has screwed us around multiple times, telling us they can't do anything for us after a week of not being able to live in our home. In my opinion you need a new crew that is not rude that are professional when they are in our home and then leaving because we're upset about living in our garage for a damn week and then telling us they can't do the job we want Even though by multiple people in the After many attempts, the crew basically Said screw you and left. If I were you reading this, I would not go with Empire Today their crew is a joke. So I'm expecting a full resolution or else Empire Today is going to lose $8,000 because of the demo and installation.
The company said yes you are on the books and it will be done. I think anybody would feel the same way. So if you're going to look into Empire Today I would say save your energy and do not hire this company it is a sham. They need a new crew to do the work that they so-called stand behind. They were well over and above what I expected. They were incredibly knowledgeable and were clearly professionals. They took a lot of pride in their work.
The padding of my prior carpet was of better quality. The padding of the new one doesn't feel quite as soft and as large. But it's fine. Also, there are a couple of areas in the carpet that have a little fraying where it was attached because it's a circular room. That's a little disconcerting. I was hoping that that wouldn't show. The problem was the ridiculous amount of management that they have with that company. We got calls from different people. They did not talk to one another about the project.

So I'm not able to compare what I chose and what's in my house. The pad doesn't feel as soft as what we had during the sales visit. Also, the carpet looks cheaper.
The installers worked really hard and they got a lot done. But they were six hours later than we expected and there were some errors. We had them come back and fix some parts that started to pull out. The overall cost was a lot, but it was in line with what we would pay from anybody else. They told me they'll get here at noon, and they came about 1 o'clock. The interaction was okay, considering there was only one person that spoke English. I had no issues with them. They were still mannerable and as friendly as they could be. I love the carpet, and the cost was good. Just ask questions to see what discounts you can get.

Empire's rep was thorough, nice, and did an okay job. I just think there may be some deception in prices. If you tell them that’s too much, they lower the price. During the installation day, when the guy was about 30 minutes out, he called me. He was on his way. We went over what areas would be carpeted. When he was done, we walked through to make sure everything was okay. The only thing is I didn’t think they did a good job of making sure the house was clean. As far as the new flooring, it has really nice and thick padding. The quality is good. I would recommend Empire, but people should make sure they get really fine details taken care of. They should make sure about clean up and that price is good.
Alvonia, we take your feedback seriously and will treat this as a learning experience. After all, there is always room for improvement, and we hope this does not happen again. However, we're glad to hear you're enjoying your new flooring! Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback.

I had my den and my bedroom and a hallway done by Empire Today. I got luxury laminate. I had a price in my mind and they were in that ballpark of that price, and that was why I went with them. When the lady called me on the phone, I told her what I wanted. I already had hardwood floors down and I described to her that these other two rooms had carpet in them and I wanted to match my hardwood floors. When the salesman got here, he had exactly what I had said I wanted. So, that was incredible.
As far as the installation, there was a site manager. He came in and showed me the product that he was gonna put down. He brought a team of five people in. The night before, they had asked me to move all the small clutter stuff, and that they would take care of the big stuff. I did what they asked me to do. They moved out all the big stuff and were very professional. The installation was all day because they had to pull up all my old carpeting in both rooms and in the hallway, and they moved the furniture out of the way. Then they had to put down the new flooring, and then quarter round, I had carpeting, and then they had to put the quarter round down, and then they had to put the planking down where it went from one room to the next room.
I was extremely pleased that my floors are beautiful. I would recommend the team. My experience was 5-star. They took me room to room and let me examine everything and look in the corners. They were very courteous to me. As far as the care instructions, they said this stuff was indestructible. They explained to me just wet mop it. Thus far, all I've done is dust it.

So polite, thoughtful, helpful, and they worked efficiently. They cleaned up. It was just noisy. My husband and I left the bedrooms carpeted, but we took out the main living part. So, we held up in our bedroom. I said to him, “I feel like I'm living in a hotel room.” We would go out and pick our way through to the kitchen, and it worked perfectly. They were in and out in two days, and it was fabulous. We are pleased.

I used Empire because I figured they were a large reputable company. At first, my experience was fine. But it ended up being awful. The salesman was horrible and he should be fired. He pretty much did a bait-and-switch on us. He told us what we wanted to hear as far as pricing was concerned. He told us the original price and exactly how much it would be per month. I told him, “No way, I'm not paying 300-something a month for 48 months for flooring.” He then came back with another price and told me exactly what it would be, 247.91 a month for 48 months. I could do that. But that ended up not being that. When the crew came to do the installation, they wanted $4,800 on top of the $12,000 that I was quoted for the flooring, which I ended up not paying. I told them, “No. That was not our agreement.” They called and got the $4,800 taken off.
I got my first bill and instead of expecting 247.91 for my payments, it was 315. I called Wells Fargo and they can't do anything about it because I had to call Empire. They said that was the agreed upon amount, which it was not. The salesman told me that it was a simple interest, so my interest would have ended up being about $1,400. According to Wells Fargo, it is a compound interest, which makes a huge difference between $1,400 in interest and $3,400 in interest. I ended up paying the whole thing off because I refused to pay $3,400 in interest when that's not what I was told.
I have several friends that are looking to do hardwood, including my parents, not to go to Empire under any circumstances. I could have gone with Home Depot and gotten the flooring for $3,000 or $4,000 less. I would never refer anybody to Empire again. That aside, the installers were awesome. I've read reviews before about how horrible the installers were. The ones that came to my house were outstanding. They were on time and they cleaned up. They were friendly too. It was the salesman that should not be doing any sort of sales because he just tells you what you wanna hear and then he probably figures, “You know what? We'll deal with the consequences later.” I'm furious.

When the installer came, he found that our floor needed leveling. It was an amount that I was not able to pay out of pocket at the time. I told him the only way it could be done is if it was included in the financing. He got on the phone, came back in, and told me they got this on the financing. He said he would go to the warehouse the next day, pick up all the material, and he would be back to level the floor. They came back and got the floor all leveled. I signed the paperwork for them to turn in so they can get paid. Then, I got a call Tuesday morning stating that there had been a mistake. The leveling was not included in the financing and I had to come up with a payment for it.
I told them that was not possible and that it was not my problem because they told me it was included in the financing. I told them they need to figure it out on their end. They called me back the next morning and they ended up waiving all the cost of leveling the floor. That part was great but the point up to it where there was so much miscommunication within Empire, I was very disappointed. It was extremely stressful because the house was in total disarray. But it wasn't until I got the estimate and I checked in with some private contractors that they were like, “Oh, that's a little pricey.” But Empire was going to be able to do the job when I needed and gave me a warranty. That was a selling point for me.
On the day of the installation, I was taken aback because I was expecting an Empire truck to come. But the installers weren't in an Empire truck. I called the salesperson and asked, “Hey, are these the right people that are supposed to install the carpet?” But the techs were really nice. They were fast and the carpet is amazing. My recent purchase was carpeting for my daughter's house. My daughter was removing old carpeting and getting a new one. The Empire ad said that there was some kind of a sale going on. But when the rep came, he said that was only selected carpeting. We still went ahead with them. They move the furniture around which is nice when you have small areas. They have all the equipment too. The crew was very nice and I was not disappointed.
We wanted something that was a little bit thicker and one that would last a little bit longer. The only problem that we encountered was I didn't like the way that it was handled when the people come out with the carpeting. It reminded me of a car salesman. We picked out one carpeting. The salesperson called someone and they verified and said that they could get the carpet at a certain price. The following day, we got a phone call and stated that we could not have that carpeting at that price. We had to pick a different carpeting. At the time, we had looked at two different carpeting. We had to go with our second choice.
I didn't like that because to me, I had a contract that said I was supposed to get that carpeting, but I'm not one for fighting for stuff. The other carpeting was just as good but I didn't like that aspect of it because they had to go back and forth with conversations. Whoever they talked to in the store agreed to that price and then the contract was written up.
One other thing that I wish that they would do is break things down because they said that you can compare shops. But you can't compare shops if you don't know exactly what they're charging you for installation and for padding. Empire gives you one lump sum. Also, they could bring more variety of carpeting. We did the camera thing. When I saw the carpet on the camera and when they called to tell me that we couldn't have the other carpeting, I said, "But this other one looks so gold." The rep told me it was just the camera. He said, "It is the same color as what the other carpeting is. It's just a different brand." Other than that, the convenience of them coming out and doing things was great. My daughter recommended Empire. She took a piece of the carpeting that she had installed in her place and took it to work. The ladies that were looking at it really liked it.

It was something I wanted, so I paid for it. For the installation, Empire Today sent someone to do it and it was done very well. The individual that did the installation was a professional and he did what he was supposed to do. But after the installation was completed, there seems to be some faults in the carpet in every room. There are some marks in the carpet which are not part of the design of the carpet and I am not satisfied with the way it looks. So I called them and they listened to what I had to say about the issues I'm having with the imperfections in the carpet.
They sent someone out today and I'm waiting to hear from them now that they have a report and pictures. More than likely we'll have to replace the carpet because it does not look good now that it's installed. I'm not accepting anything less than replacement. The workers who put in the carpeting I bought from Empire were great. They were timely and the one guy that would seem to be the subordinate of the boss guy was constantly running up and down the steps with different tools so that they didn't clutter up my house. They were very efficient and they laid the carpet very well.
But the process was absolutely horrible. We still have an unfinished room with no baseboards because three different people told us three different things, and they were all from different departments. The salesperson who I signed the contract with told me that I could add on the baseboards when they called me to schedule the install. So when the installers called, I said that the salesperson told me I needed to add on the baseboards. The accounts payable person told me that they were already on there. I had her double check and I told her that it is for an unfinished room without baseboards, so I had to know for sure that they were on there. I was told that would be an extra cost, so I didn't understand how all of a sudden they were included. She said they were included, so I got off the phone with her.
The first day we were supposed to install, nobody showed. I waited around and I had to be there from 8:00 AM until 6:30 PM. They showed up at 6:30 PM with the wrong carpeting. So, I got no apologies from the company. I also got apologies from the installers and they were the only redeeming aspect of the whole entire thing. They said they were contracted in, so they're not even a part of the company.
Then, the next day, they showed up in the morning with the carpeting. We still got no apologies from the install lady and she informed me that the carpet people only do carpet, they don't do baseboards. It's a two-year-old's room, so now, she has exposed areas in her room. I can't even put her in the room. The best part was that the lady said she'd have Empire get in touch with us to connect us with the contractor for the baseboards but that never happened. It's been months now. No apologies ever happened either. It was horrible and I would never ever ever recommend Empire to anyone, ever.
Also, the installers started with a stripped room. They didn't even have the strip carpet. We gave them brass and there was nothing in there. All that was in there was a flooring and a subfloor that they had to lay over. The room was completely clear, there was nothing they needed to do except to lay the carpet and put in the baseboards, and they couldn't even get that done. We were promised multiple times by different departments that we would be provided with baseboards and still don't have them or have not been reached out to schedule them to be put in. And we're not even asking for them for free, we were just asking to pay for them and get them installed.

I got laminate flooring done on the first floor of my house. I also got it in the living room, the kitchen, and the powder room. When the sales rep from Empire Today came out, it was an exciting day. The guy was very knowledgeable of the product. I could tell that he was trying to sell stuff to get the biggest sale he could, but he made sure that whether he got the sale or not, what we wanted was within our budget, and he was able to make that happen. On installation day, a three-man crew came out. They didn't show their credentials. I did see that on the checklist, but they had an Empire paperwork, so I didn't really make a bigger deal of it.
But they came through and did a walkthrough with us. At first, we were told that in our bathroom, we would have to remove our sink in order for them to get under the floor or get that part of the floor. We said that that wasn't what was told to us and that we were told to just get everything off the floor. They called somebody from Empire and they were able to come to a resolution that they would go around the sink so we wouldn't have to remove it. And we weren't going to remove it because we didn't know how and I didn't want to mess with something and not have to be able to put it back.
As soon as we did that initial walk through, confirmed the rooms that we wanted to get done, took a look at our laundry room and our coat closet to see about that transition piece, because we didn't change anything in there, they confirmed everything and signed off. Then, as soon as we initialed, they started pulling up the carpet and they got done in about three and a half hours. And that included them taking a lunch. So I was surprised at how efficient they were. The time was allotted was six hours but they got it done under five hours. They got there at about 9:30, and they were done at about 12:45. They did a very good job.
I'm obsessed with the color of my new flooring and how it blends so well with the rest of my house. I like that it was thin so they didn't have to do any extra stuff to my floor. In fact, I had a different type of laminate on my floor, but they said, because that was attached to the concrete and it was nothing but a concrete slab underneath, they didn't have to pull that up. So that cut down on their time. But it looks really good and it doesn't look puckered anywhere. It doesn't look like my friend from next door did it. I also recommended my mom to use Empire for her home as she wanted to get new carpet.

Empire sent two teams out to install that both refused to do the work, with the 3rd team sent agreeing to install the flooring. The 3rd team finished the work but left many issues with the vinyl planks. Empire scheduled a repair to be done but no one showed the day of. The following repair they scheduled, the team showed up and fixed a few of the issues but created many more in the process and left after they were done. Following this we requested that Empire send another team to do the work correctly and they refused. We were told the only team they could send would be the original install team because they contract the work out to other flooring companies that do not have the large footprint within the flooring industry that Empire is able to provide.
The original install team never came back to repair anymore work due to Empire refusing to honor the warranty for labor and material unless my wife and I signed documentation that would give us a $500 credit and would legally bind us into a "hush" agreement, meaning we were not allowed to speak to anyone of this matter. We refused to sign and they never sent anyone out to fix the floors, they refused to refund us or do anything unless we paid them more money. I would great recommend that anyone thinking of using this company should stay away.
The install team Empire hired to do the job told me they were getting paid $1000 for the install from Empire, while Empire was charging me $6000. Stay away from this company. Try to find a local company with ties in the community that actually care for the work performed and customer satisfaction. I hope no one else will have to experience this type of issue. Also do no trust BBB for reviews as I posted my complaint and they closed it out without any resolution and left the post listed with "customer satisfied with outcome" although this is not the truth.

We went from the salesperson being in our home to the crew having completed the job in 20 hours. The cost was a little higher, and the quality was even, but the timeline that Empire Today was able to get the work completed was far more convenient than the other companies we looked at. We had carpet installed in over a third of our home in various rooms. It's durable. Empire Today came in, ripped the existing padding, hauled it out, installed the new one, and they were on their way. They left the rooms in better condition than they received it in.

I had hardwood flooring installed by Empire. My first issue was that the end pieces came off 2 weeks after the installation. I called the company, and the issue was resolved. My second issue was that within 30 days, the wood started to discolor in several places and it keeps getting worse. I contacted Empire and sent pictures. They told me that the discoloration appears to be the result of moisture collected in the house. I have had the house tested for humidity / moisture. The company which did the testing and 2 other flooring companies stated that the issue was that there was no padding installed between the concrete and the wood to prevent moisture buildup.
Two weeks ago, I started to call other companies to see if I could replace the wood with tiles. I contacted Empire to compare prices, the representative came on March 20th, looked at the floor and noticed a few things that were not done properly, he raised the concern about the padding to prevent the moisture from seeping thru. Upon finding out that Empire installed the wood, he did not measure or leave an estimate. He promised to come back the next day with a flooring specialist to take a second look. He did not come back.
He called on March 21, to make a different offer. He Had a contractor who would be able to replace the discolored wood if I had any remaining wood left. He made me count all the extra pieces that I had left and also all the bad pieces to be replaced. I have not heard from him since then. I have called and left a message, but he has not responded so far. I just need to know what or if anything can be done at this point, before I call a different company to have the wood removed and replaced by a different company this time.

The sales portion went fine but the installation day was another story. The day of installation, before even starting work the installer clogged my toilet. Then they did not evenly lay the carpet, it didn't even line up against the wall, they left a gap. The installer said it was supplied to be like that. Before leaving they demanded payment even though I had paid in full when I made the order. They were extremely aggressive in demanding money (that I had already prepaid). They said they couldn't leave until I paid so I had to call sales and have them call the installer to tell them I paid and they need to leave my house. Overall it was a horrible experience and I ended up having to hire another company to fix the space near the walls where empire didn't lay carpet. Be careful if you hire Empire Today.

My parents use Empire Today and said they had a good experience, and the sales guy was really nice, so we felt really comfortable making a purchase. We got carpet in the living room, hallway, and master bedroom. We also got vinyl in the master bathroom. Regarding the installation of the carpet, the men were really nice, but we're not terribly happy because they left our master bedroom and our hallway lumpy. There are lumps or screws underneath the carpet, so when I walk barefoot, I can feel the lumps. The living room was installed nicely. I'm afraid of them ripping up the carpet, because it looks nice, and I don't really want them to undo what they've done and mess around and move furniture. It's such a hassle to have them come back that we just decided that we can live with it. The vinyl looks really nice in the bathroom, and the installers couldn't have been nicer. Overall, we're pretty happy with the experience.

A salesman came and he measured everything. He was really pushy and wouldn't stop talking. After three hours, he was still talking and I was falling asleep. That was when he left. His price was pretty high. I then had a guy call me on the phone and he knocked it down $1,000. I was telling him about the first guy and he said he would get another person out there. A lady comes and she was really nice and she measured everything. She gave me another price that was even lower. I told her, "How can it be that low? There's gotta be some gimmick to this. Is this a good carpet?" She said it was the best carpet they got.
In November, we decided to pay half down. But I said, "You know, we got a lot of things going right now. We got Christmas coming up and New Year's and then we're gonna Mardi Gras ourselves. And so, you know, it has to be after all that." And they said, "Well, no worries about that. Just let us know when you wanna do it." We did it a month or two ago.
This is when it gets a little difficult. There were two guys that came in. One spoke no English at all and the other one spoke poquito English. I don't speak Spanish. There was no communication there at all. What wasn't measured was a little closet just to put towels in. It's about 2-foot square. The guy raised trouble with it and said, "It's not on the map." I said, "I think you might have a little bit of extra carpet, put that in there," and they did. They had some carpet left over, which upset me because they took it. I paid for it, so why didn't I get it?
We had moved everything off of the floor except for the furniture and that was a hard deal. They were in and out of here in for a couple of hours and we let them do their thing. We didn't get in their way. When they were getting ready to leave, I inspected it and everything and they weren't there. They have put the carpet in that little closet that we talked about. We were gonna actually save some of the old carpet to give to another person. But I couldn't communicate with the installers, so they just ripped it up and took it out in sections.
They moved the furniture so they should have remembered where it was when they moved it. They didn't. Things were all off-centered or not in the right room. I had file cabinets in another room and I said, "You need to put those back in my office." They pushed them instead of carrying them. They pushed them from 30 feet on the brand-new carpet, which was stupid. While they pushed them like that, they put a dent in my file cabinets and that upset me a little bit. We had a brand-new Tempur-pedic bed and it's quite heavy. They moved it and it was off-centered. They really didn't wanna do it but they ended up doing it for us to get it centered again. They then cleaned up and left. I have filed a claim for the file cabinets that were dented and I took pictures of them. I need to call them back to find out exactly how I can send it to them.
Empire should have had somebody there that could speak English so we could communicate with them. That aside, the carpet is wonderful. It's got a good pad underneath it and it's a beautiful carpet. Anybody that goes upstairs now either has to take off their shoes or was given these little boot covers to put on. We also had some people from Best Buy come to deliver a TV for us and they kept on telling us how cushiony the carpet was. We also had somebody from the air condition people and they even commented on how wonderful the carpet was.

Every time, I've had someone that speaks primarily Spanish, so it's hard for me to communicate what I wanna have done. This last time, they did the laundry room. They pushed the washer and dryer back too far against the wall, so I couldn't open the lid. But they didn't understand that. So, they had to come back later that night to do that. Other than that, I love it. It was a great experience.

If the option they gave me was to do everything at once, I wouldn't have gone with them. Also, I picked one flooring then changed it, and Max came up to my work and showed me some other ones. Then I finally made the final decision and got the dark wood vinyl planks, which were installed in the master bedroom.
The installers were on time. I wasn't and they waited for me to get there. They were very efficient and clean. It was raining that day, so I put a towel down on the front door and they brought in the flooring. When I opened my garage, there was a space that they had cut right thereBut they went with the Swiffer afterwards and cleaned my whole little foyer thing. One thing was there was a little bit of communication gap with the installers ‘cause they didn't speak English well. I also noticed a couple of days after they had gone when I went to move the dresser that the leg was broken. This is an extremely expensive, nice set. I was disappointed so I called and got an incident number about that. There was also one or two spots where the carpet in the closet, they didn't push it the whole way up against the wall. There's a gap. But it's a 1,800 square feet of carpet. It was a big job. They were here from 8:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night. The carpet looks nice, especially when you vacuum it. I have had Empire Today in my home in Fayetteville, and they did a beautiful job. A young lady came out here in Florida and explained everything to me, and I was excited because I wanted to redo my sister's her floors and make them look nice. I knew what I wanted and I told the rep that. She was just a seller. So, she reassured me that everything would be done and it would be done right and professionally. We arranged for the floors to be put down. They had to come in and pick up the floors, but only one guy could pick them up to put down the tiles that I ordered.
They did what they had to do, and they were supposed to have done it so that the next day, the crew could come in there and do what they had to do, which was to put the tile down. They did it in a day, but one of them could only speak English, and he wouldn't talk to me. I would ask him things. It was, “You mind your business. This is what I do, so you stay out of it.” I said, “I don't like the way this looks,” because the floors are beautiful because of the vinyl that I picked, it just makes the house look very good. But they put some cheap, very skinny base boards.
The seller had reassured me that I would get quality care for the baseboard. So, I called Empire Today back and said I'm not happy. The guy came out and I could see the amount of baseboards he had. I had been looking at the style in doctors’ offices and other businesses, and it looks nice. But that inch-and-a-half piece that they put there, they put them in and they wouldn't make sure that they fit around the baseboards. They're coming up.
I paid a guy last weekend to get started on getting them up and putting in new wood. So, that's more money. I had to end up buying the material. Plus paying him for his labor. And we're still not through. I'm at a standstill because Empire Today said that they would get back with me. I've done everything I could do to let them know it's not quality work. So it takes off from all this money. I spent $11,000. I want it right. I don't like people coming in, and they don't understand.
I've been calling Empire Today.I got an 800 number. That's how I get them. Now if I go through the local number, I could just forget it. I wouldn't get any answer. But if I do the 800 number that you see on television, they would get back with me. I had one contact person. I left messages for her and customer service, but they haven't called me back. That's not the way they acted towards me in Atlanta. They were there. They did a quality job. They followed up. I recommended them to another friend of mine because that's how good they were there. But there’s something wrong down here in Florida. I just left a place, and they're rude. I'm very disappointed.

At that point in time, I thought everything looked good but having walked on it and vacuumed it a couple of times, there were a couple of areas that I wanted to address. There was carpet in my bedroom already. So, the carpet that he installed had to butt up to that carpet, and the seams weren't very good. Then you could tell where the seams coming out of both of the bedrooms were.
Then going into the fourth bedroom, I had luxury vinyl plank put in there. Either he didn't make the carpet long enough or the transition piece should have been bigger, but you can tell where the vinyl stopped. I never received a call back from Empire to have it addressed. I called and talked to the salesperson and he relayed the message to Amber, and she never called me back.
Other than that, the flooring's coloring was quite nice. It wasn't a whole lot different than what was already in my bedroom. So, that stacked quite well, although it wasn't Empire that put that in, and it looks very nice. Overall, Empire is a good company, but you have to have your eyes open a little more when you do the final walkthrough after their product has been installed.

He was the one who put the carpet in. It was a little difficult to understand what he was saying sometimes. But they cleaned up well. We liked the flooring and the carpet really well. We're happy with them. The price was a little bit more than what I had anticipated. But the flooring looks great.

I had flooring done on the main level and on my steps. With the main level flooring, we had some issues when the installers came. They were banging so hard that it shattered a light fixture in my basement. I reported it and it was properly handled. As far as the steps, I informed the salesperson the day after I had scheduled for my main flooring to get done that I wanted the steps also. So, there was a delay in the process because he didn't put the order through. Also, during the installation, we had bubbling on two of the landings. I had to get the technicians to come back to repair it. Other than that, the quality and look are fine.

They did a really good job this last time installing everything. We had a modular couch downstairs and we have a really tight access point. They carried 60 pieces of couch to get it into the living room and stacked it up neatly while they did everything in the basement. The crew was great.

I couldn't believe how fast they got it done. I had my living room, hallway, and the stairs going up and down done. I was all expected to camp out downstairs for the day but it was under two and a half hours. They cleaned up and left me the extra carpeting. My floors needed to be done so bad. I saw that Empire Today were having sales and I wanted someone to come in and give me an estimate, which the gentleman did. His truck said Luna and that was surprising because I thought it would have said Empire Today on the truck, but that wasn't mentioned. So, when he came to the door, I I asked if he was from the Empire Today and he said yes. So, I let him come on in. I saw some flooring that I liked that he showed me a sample flooring and it turned out wonderful. I love it.
For the installation, the guys did very well. There were some spots that I saw where there was an opening, so I asked them to put an extra piece there, sort of the way that it's measured prior to them coming in because I have an open staircase. So, I didn't have a problem with that. One of the gentlemen was doing a shortcut and I asked him to fix it so the trim would match up and touch. So, he did that. I was watching them and going around, and they were happy to make sure that I was happy. They were really good and very fast. Their supervisor and the head guy came in and checked on them and make sure that everything was done before he left a little before they cleaned up. I can't wait to finish paying for the payment so I can have my three bedrooms done upstairs.

So, they sent the installer out to do a repair, and he tried to blame my dog for it. But I have an 8-pound Yorkie. He isn't capable nor does she dig up the carpet. Everything else was okay.

I had carpets and I had two pets, so I was trying to make my home more pet-friendly. I got waterproof flooring from Empire Today and it looks like wood. When I bought it, there was some confusion because when the rep quoted me the first price, it was higher than I thought it would be. So, I thought I couldn't get what I wanted done. There was a business discount that I didn't get offered, so I ended up getting less than I thought.
Also, I told him I wanted the hallway done upstairs and the bathrooms and yet they only did the hallway. So, there must have been some kind of confusion, because when the installers came, I was thinking they were at least going to do one of the bathrooms, if not both. I specifically wanted the bathroom in the bedroom done. But somehow, when the order came out, that wasn't included. So, I figured I have to get that done at a later time. So, I wasn't really happy with those parts. I thought I was on the same page with the sales rep, but we weren't when he left.
The installers worked their butts off though and they got there on time. I liked them. But I wasn't happy with the amount of dust that was created in the spots they were working on. They could have just stapled a piece of plastic between the kitchen area and it would have saved a lot of dust. After they were gone, I had to dust everything in the house and I had to re-wash everything because they sanded the adhesive from the kitchen flooring tile.
Aside from that, I had another property and that was supposed to go down a week before this one, and that one was supposed to have flooring and carpet. So, the sales guy told me the flooring guy was going to come through first then the carpet team would be there. But then they told me if there were some soft areas on the floor, they would let me know. So, there was a soft area in the kitchen that they weren't sure about for the flooring but I figured they could come do carpet on the other parts that we agreed to do, but they didn't. So, nothing got done. I paid the deposit and they refunded all the money.

Louie came in the house and by the time he left, he had sold me almost $4,000 worth of carpet. He came in with the right price. He was able to make it work for me financially. I got the Ink Spot. I'm an old hippie so my house is Aqua and orange and teal, so it’s really complemented the colors. So far, everything's good. The installers were great. The guy that did the bathroom had to do a little bit prep work on the underlayment under the tile to make what I wanted work, and he was able to do that and made it look really nice.
As far as the quality of the product, I’d give about a B minus. I don't know if empire is where I would go again. I don't know if they have a quality enough carpet or if I didn't have enough money for Louie to pull out the quality of carpet. This carpet is about three quarters of an inch shorter pile. So, it feels a little tinsier. It's not as cushy under the feet. It almost feels like it's three steps above like a commercial grade. So, I'm a little disappointed in the quality. The price worked, but I don't think this will be the last carpet I'm gonna have to do while I live in the home, which is kind of depressing. Overall, Empire has really good salesmen and they have really decent installers and you get really what you pay for.

I had to postpone the installation three times at least, and they were really accommodating on my installation date.
Everything seemed to be good on the installation. The crew was really polite and they worked hard. It was a big project. They recarpeted the whole house and they put in all new molding. The gentleman that did the molding work did an excellent job. He went a little beyond because there was some transitions from the carpet to the hard floor, and he took care of those transitions very nicely. So, I was very happy with them. As far as the flooring, it looks good. It was a house I'm selling, so I didn't go with a real high-end carpet. I went with something that was a little more affordable, but it looks really good. After she answered our questions and explained the product, we decided that we were going to move forward. She then brought the installers in. They were great. We got out of their way and watched them work. And they were really very professional. They were not rushing, but they were very expedient. At the bottom of our stairs, we have a runner that goes up the stairs and the hallway runs underneath the bottom of the stairs. So they had to remove a fixture there in order to install the plank. That fixture recently came apart and I don't know if they're going to come back out and fix it, or if they can or not. But when they finished uninstalling it, they said they would put it back and when they did, it didn't stick. That was four weeks ago.
Other than that, my wife likes the vinyl plank floors that they installed in the kitchen and hallway. But I'm very critical, a little bit more picky about certain things. I'm disabled and I have a health problem with neuropathy in my feet. So it's hard for me to engage on certain surfaces where my balance is. I noticed when I walk on the vinyl plank that it's a little slippery and I don't know if the wood would be the same. But it's not anything that would make me want to purchase anything different because we pretty much liked the price and the way the floor looks. It looks really nice.

The installers put cement on the tiles and that without covering the grout joints completely. If that is supposed to keep the grout joints from coming through, we will have grout joints In the future coming through. As a "water barrier" they used a thin, clear sheet of plastic. After the installation I noticed 3 scratches immediately which I pointed out to the installers and they said they were easily removable and wiped one scratch with a wet cloth....and left.
After it dried the scratch was back. We tried wiping the other scratches too but they are permanent. The flooring was supposed to be scratch resistant. When I called to complain we were brushed off and we were told that we signed the contract and there is nothing we can do about it. The sales person lied to us and empire simply washes their hands saying you signed the contract which was electronic and never shown to us in full Length. That aside, the installers were really good. The quality of the flooring is good too and it's easy to clean.

I used Empire in 2005. I figured they would be able to handle what I was asking them to do, and that's to provide carpeting and to get it down properly. I recently had vinyl flooring put down in my kitchen and dining area. My walls were wood and the floor was wood and they put their white board on the side of the wall to close the seam up between the floor and the wall. I didn't like that.
The most recent installers showed up a half hour before I was expecting them. They didn't let me know they were coming. They didn't talk good English either. They installed carpeting in my living room, on the steps to the second floor, and on the second-floor hallway. The quality is good. I'm just seeing in the steps. It's a natural process that sometimes some of it will come out. I need to vacuum more often until some of those extra pieces stop coming out, especially at the steps. I don't know if I can do anything about it. One, I wasn't able to reach the salesman after the work was done. I wanted to inquire on this. But the people I talked to gave me a song and dance why I didn't need it.
I was also not left any pieces of the carpeting that can be used in case I needed to piece in something that might have gotten ruined. They told me that they don't normally leave it, but they do. I have this vinyl flooring. I have carpeting upstairs that Empire put in the second-floor bedroom. I have all of that carpeting. Then they also put carpeting down here before I had the vinyl flooring put in. I have that left over. Now recently, there was some water damage to a unit here where I live. Luckily, they said they have carpeting that they can use. They don't have to worry about that part of the floor being ruined by water because they have carpeting that they can have the restoration company apply.
Also, when the salesman came, he told me I'd have to pay a deposit. But I ended up waiting until the time they started before I even got a receipt for it. I never even got a contract from the salesman, other than my credit card showing the payment went to Empire. But that was all I had to prove that I had paid anything. When they first came in to do a job, the tech came in and brought me a little swatch that was two inches by one inch. He said, "Is this the carpet you ordered?" He wasn't saying it in good English. I said, "Yes." He wanted me to give him the payment in full but they hadn't installed it. They didn't show me they had the carpet. As far as I know, they can walk out that door and be gone. They would have had the payment in full. I refused to give it because I had given a deposit.
He called somebody on the phone because we were having a communication problem. The person told me that that was their policy, to collect everything before they even start any work. I told her I refused to do that. I told her, "I have a credit card. I'm showing it to your installer." I'm ready to pay for it. But I want to have something to show for it, other than this little 2x1 inch swatch of carpeting.

I bought carpeting from Empire Today and had it installed in six bedrooms. Their rep came to me and showed me different ones. He was very informative, knew what he was speaking about, and everything turned out great. I love my new carpet and it's fairly easy to clean. Just simple vacuuming and it doesn't take much.

Empire has variety of options. I went with a 20-year carpet. It's carpet for three rooms, a living room and two bedrooms. The installation, on a scale of 1 to 10, was a 10. The installers answered all my questions. They were prompt and efficient. The representative who sold the carpet was very informative and detailed. There were no questions left unanswered. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had some other people give me bids on flooring options, and Empire Today had the best price. The turnaround time on getting the installation done was very good. The guys that did the carpet did an amazing job. They were in, they were out. But the second crew that came in to do the vinyl plank flooring didn't get it done in one day. They said that they would have to come back another day and finish up the bathroom. They left a box of eight foot quarter round going across the middle of my living room floor, which they had just done. And they left some trash and some other things in the hall. They came back the next day knowing that they had to remove the toilet to do the flooring.
One of the workers decided that he needed to purchase a special tool. And instead of getting with whoever his contractor was that he's working for to see if they could supply that with him, he went and bought one. And would not finish their job unless my husband paid him the $50 for the tool that he had. And he now has the tool my husband paid him. I didn't like being coerced into paying a gentleman to buy a tool that they should have had to do the job in the first place. We had to get the job finished. I was not happy about that. It was handled badly. I contacted the dispatch manager at Empire and told him the situation prior to them completing the job, and told him what was going on. He said there would be no additional charge for us. But I never heard back from anybody until now.
I had another person call. I told her the problems, and she said she would check in to it, and I had not heard back. I didn't appreciate the lack of response from anybody after the repeated calls I made to try to figure out what happened and why the situation was the way it was. But once the installation was done, it was fine. I'm pleased with it. The flooring looks very good.

I was looking for a new flooring. I had carpet I wanted up. I came across Empire Today, and I gave them a call. And when they came in, they brought the sample of the product that happened to be the product that I was interested in, so I purchased it.
I love my floor. I wish I could have done the entire area. But price-wise I could not do the entire area. I would recommend Empire Today with a caveat that they are pricey. When I first asked the rep what it would cost me to do just that living room area, the first quote was $8,000. I told him, "No way. I know better." We got down to a more reasonable price. That price was overpriced, but I was willing to do it. But it should have come down by, at least, another $1,000.
I have a daughter who has a substantial size house, and she replaced all of the floors in her house, and did not go with Empire because of their pricing. She loves the look of my floor. She was here when they did and she thought they did an excellent job. She said the product was nice, but she said, "I was gonna use them, but their price was just outrageous." She had her whole house done.
The one thing I would commend them for was the installer who was extremely professional and quiet. He was very willing to answer my questions. He sat about working, and worked until he got the job done, and it only took him a few hours. He didn't speak a lot of English, but he did his work, did it thoroughly, cleaned up, and went about working. He didn't take breaks. He just worked.

I just move a bit of things in the way, and they get everything done in one day and fix my place right back. They're good, and I always recommend friends to go to Empire.

They acted quickly when we called. Since COVID, it seems like I have to wait forever for stuff to take place. We just got a fence installed. We started in the first week of October and we didn't get the fence installed until the end of December. Other than that, the techs did the work within a week's time. It was done excellently. The guy positioned all the stuff and where we wanted it back after the floor was complete. The quality of work is very nice. Everybody who comes in comments on the visual appeal.

They were very cooperative. The gentleman from Empire who serviced me and did the quote was very knowledgeable and I appreciated his input. I purchased laminate, followed by carpet. The installation went extremely well. They sent a two-man crew out. They arrived a little early. They stayed for almost five hours and they got the job completely done, moving furniture around, and they were very respectful of my furniture and the stuff that was up there. The promises they made and when to start and the quality of the products were what was said. The only thing that I thought was a little bit on a negative was, they didn't really do much of a breakdown when there was a sale. As far as being forthright and understanding how they came to that price, it was a little bit clouded.

The sales rep from Empire Today was wonderful, very personable and had lots of information. But the installation was incredibly slow. We did commercial-grade, luxury vinyl in three bedrooms and both gentlemen were considerably older and appeared to have difficulty carrying the product. It took three days to get three bedrooms done. But once it was finished, the flooring was beautiful. We definitely picked the right product. It looked great. We have very specific needs. I have children in wheelchairs and the rep was able to recommend the right product knowing what we needed. I've given his information and referred him to other people as well.

I had carpet in our hallway and in our stairs installed by Empire Today. We had flooring done thrice in this house. Joshua came out two of the three. He was informative, called first, let us know he was on his way, came out with a bunch of products, laid them all out so we can see what they would look like in the area itself, went over everything, went over pricing and showed us what was gonna be more expensive. For the stairs, in the closet, it was carpet. Then for the rest, it was LVP flooring. I love the quality.
However, there was a third party that came in for the installation. They were not the friendliest of people. The gentleman called me first thing in the morning and he was not too pleased that he had to do the work that day because it was raining. They were also very short with my wife. They left. My wife escorted them out, said goodbye, signed off on everything. 15 minutes later, she was home alone by herself and I hadn't been home yet and they entered without notice because they forgot something.
I have a Ring doorbell. Didn't ring the doorbell, didn’t knock on the door. They just decided to enter at their own leisure. Our front door was closed. This isn't like they left out and went to the truck and came right back. They were gone for almost 20 minutes. Also, when they got done, I ended up losing power in my walk-in closet on all three of my sockets. But, Empire Today reimbursed me for the amount that it was gonna take to have those sockets repaired.

Everything was excellent with Empire. The rep was thorough and showed me everything. I knew what I wanted but didn't know the coloring. She provided me with a ton of products and I picked from the options that were given to me. I got the softwood flooring in my living room and dining room. The installers called me around 10:00 a.m. They were on their way. I met the two greeters at the door. They walked through our house to see the area that they would work on. They said, “Everything looks good. We'll start ripping up the carpet.” They finished around 7:00 p.m. that night. The work was above my expectations. I didn't expect it to look that great. The salesman that came to my house with samples was great. Very nice. Answered all my questions. I asked if the installers would help me paint the concrete slab before putting down the flooring? Oh yeah, of course, he said. They did not help, in fact, they said they only had so much time to do the installation. So I didn't get to seal the concrete. And they put my new flooring down on my wet kitchen floor. I didn't realize my water heater was leaking and they didn't say anything about it to me. I didn't realize it until about a week later. I was also told they would take away the old carpet & laminate. They did not. Over a year later, it's still in the back of my Truck because you can't just dump it anywhere. And when you tell them you don't really like the color. It's too dark. You get the run around. This cost me a ton of money, and I'm not happy.

We call the manufacturer and was told that Empire must submit the claim. We call Empire back and was told that they don't submit claims. SOMEONE is responsible for this faulty flooring! They take advantage of the elderly!!

Empire review. I am ONLY writing this review to save others from the hassle and nonsense we had to experience when we decided to hire Empire! Let me assure you that I don’t like writing reviews and I am not one to enjoy taking people’s time to listen/read my jabber. But this I need to share for the greater good! First of all, I am not competitor of Empire. I am a pain management physician. As such I didn’t want to allocate so much to learn about construction because I am very busy. But fortunately I had the pleasure (applying heavy loads of sarcasm) of doing hours of research because of the incompetence of people that they sent out that boldly claim to be professionals. This company and these “professionals” have been anything but professional.
As I am writing this review, our project and now issue has not yet been resolved. This is after 4 times trying to get a job done that otherwise would take one try. To sum up and in respect to your time and energy, I am going to conclude my review here and to say that if you decide to hire Empire, at least in our experience, for anything flooring, you will be disappointed royally. I truly hope that it wouldn’t be the case but not in our experience.
P.s. if you want the details, continue reading. First try: We scheduled and picked the the porcelain tiles. Two young men came to install. It was a cold rainy day. From the moment they stepped into our apartment until they left, he came up with thousands excuses and “pro-lems” not to install those tiles. He advised us that luxury vinyl is better. So they left.
Second try: Next week, we took Friday off for the second crew. They rolled up to the gates, we buzzed them in. Waited 15-20 mins, no one came upstairs. I went downstairs to see what’s going on and why they are taking so long to start work. They were gone. We called their manager to see what happened. They told their manager that they knocked and no one opened. On which universe that makes sense, I don’t know!
Third try: they came and installed the vinyl flooring. Almost immediately all three areas raised and had a bubbling affect. So cheap looking. We called and they said they would send and inspector. 4th visit: The inspector came out to document our complaint. 2 baths, kitchen flooring. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP). All three areas have bubbles where you can see the sloped floor. He exclaimed that this was a job poorly done. He took bunch of pictures and told us that he will write a report and they will get back to us. Two weeks later and after calling them repeatedly: they told us that they will send the first crew that did not want to the job to do the job. We have refused their work furthermore. Beyond disappointing and frustrating!
Naida, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but we would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We'll be in touch with you soon to discuss your concerns.

Found Empire Today online, called representative for free estimate. Our representative was Leslie who came out right away. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We ended up having Empire replace our foyer three days later. Started out looking good but went into a dive when it came to the trim work. Alex the lead installer was very good and his work ethics were impressive. He worked non stop for ten hours the first day but the trim work was not to our satisfaction. He was also short of materials that got screwed up somewhere in their system. When Alex came back yesterday he had four helpers that didn’t speak English which disturbed us. Alex was the only one that spoke English out of five people total.
I was on the phone both days trying to get the foreman or someone to come out and get the trim work done right. Alex had put the flooring down properly and he tried to make the trim work but couldn’t. After hours on the phone with my patience totally gone I finally tracked down the foreman over this group of guys. At that point I didn’t want to be passed around anymore and I went off on the foreman telling him I wanted the trim work finished today period. He called Alex and had him go get what was needed at Lowe’s to make things right. Alex did exactly what I knew could be done and should have been done on their first day.
After two days of losing my religion, which should never have happened, between Alex and his foreman brother my foyer looks great. Alex is a good installer and very pleasant to deal with. Our sales person Leslie the same. The problem is the right hand not passing correct information onto the left hand. I ended up on the phone with seven different people for two days with my last nerve coming through. After all this would I use them again....Yes because the end result looks good and Alex hung in there with my last nerve.
Judy, we appreciate all reviews and you giving us the chance to improve by providing us with this feedback. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we can improve. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care.

A representative from Empire Today came out and he placed the order for laminate hardwood flooring for us. Since everything in our house has the stained wood molding, he put down white as far as the quarter round molding. But when the installer came out, he didn't show me the quarter round. He showed me the flooring and I told him that was it. Then he put it down, and he also put down the white, which didn't match at all. So, I called Empire and it took at least a month before the installer came back and corrected it. We had it put down the Friday before Thanksgiving week, so I was expecting that I'd have it all done for Thanksgiving. But then it was the week before Christmas before it was fixed.
Other than that, I should have looked at his order better. Mine's an older home and I see the newer homes where they have the wood floor and the white paintable molding. But all my molding is stained at my crown molding, my floor molding, and at every door. The installer should have also noticed that the white molding doesn't go with this house. But he was doing what was on his order. He also cleaned up nicely and did everything else nicely. It was just that mixup.
