    This wasn't the best experience I've had with flooring. I ended up getting vinyl and the sales rep was really nice. I told her what I wanted and I didn't want to break the bank. But flooring is not cheap. Doing the sales visit at home sucks 'cause I didn't get to see a lot of samples. But I was happy with what I picked and the installation was nice. The techs didn't have to rip up the floor in the living room but it took them the entire day. So it seemed like it took a really long time to lay vinyl in two rooms. In the living room, there were some spots where the vinyl was cut roughly and it didn't match up to the wall and the floor. Other than that, the bathroom was fine. It looked great. But whoever's gonna use Empire Today needs to ask a lot of questions and really be on top of it.

    The thing that really got me is the amount of vinyl that I had left over. It pissed me off. Why did they order that much? Why did I pay for that much vinyl? It's completely useless. There was a roll and half of vinyl. Did they not measure? It did not make sense to me. I was a little upset about that.

    I went with the LVP flooring, which is a life-proof kind of floor and I did the whole first floor. The installers made a couple of mistakes and had to come back and fix them. But other than that, they did alright. They were trying to get it all done in one day. The warranty is five years up to the purchase price of the floor and they’ll fix or replace it. But there was a break in Empire Today's communication with their installers. So they could improve on that.

    I had heard of Empire on TV and I knew we needed carpet. I called and they sent a guy out. He had everything in the car with him when he came. I told him pretty much what we wanted and he brought in what would suit what we were asking for. I liked their price so I got the carpet. They hired somebody to do the installation and the guys that came were really good. It took most of the day to get through everything. We had the whole bedroom end of our house done and they had to move furniture and take out old carpet and put in the new one and put the furniture back. It was three bedrooms and a hallway so it was pretty big. I love the quality of the carpet. Empire does a good job for a good price.

    I had a laminate installed in my family room and the gentleman that came out, Jose, did an excellent job. I requested him and they were good to make sure that he was the gentleman that came out. I enjoy seeing the whole process of how it's done and he was very friendly and always answered my questions. He and his assistant were professional and I was very happy with the job and with the flooring. It looks very ritzy and expensive. Empire Today has laid carpet in my home several times in different rooms and I've always been very satisfied with their work. Also, they have sales frequently so that enticed me to call them in and get an estimate. I hope they also help the installers because they are the ones who actually do the work.

    We were getting 4 bedrooms upstairs, bonus room and stairs carpeted (replacing existing). Salesman told us 4 guys would come out and finish in 4.5-5 hrs. One guy and a girl came out, he was here 13 hrs and still didn't finish the stairs. Our son is 18 and works nights so he wasn't able to sleep at all that day. There was a very noticeable line in the master bedroom so when he came out a week later to do stairs (which I had to call Empire and ask for the job to be finished), he said he would have to redo the entire master bedroom and hallway. They were scheduled to come out today and haven't heard a word, tried to call several times, voice-mail and no response. We had to take apart our bed, remove all the drawers and shelves in our closets AGAIN, it's a true inconvenience. Three weeks since the first installment and we're still waiting. Worse experience ever.

    Both the representatives that came out were great. They arrived on time, which I appreciated, and they were really informative. They asked me what it was I was looking for and made sure that they provided samples that met my ask. Neither one of them were pushy. They were really patient, they answered all of my questions, and it was clear that they wanted to be sure that I was a satisfied customer. I appreciate both of them. Also, each of them were available during the install process when I had additional questions.

    I had laminate floors installed in my living room, and the install team was fantastic. They arrived early. They let me know about some additional work that had to be done, because my original floors were glued down and they were unaware that they were. The installer team worked really well with my installation team to make sure that I did not incur any additional costs. They did all of the work in a day and a half, and they covered all of my furniture with plastic. They even cleaned the dust residue off of the furniture when they put it back in place, and I was really impressed with that.     The rep was professional and courteous. I had them install luxury vinyl in the living room, hallway, kitchen and throughout the closet. It started off well with the installers but I didn't know they were gonna have to move certain things like the refrigerator. They didn't plug things back once they moved it. If I hadn't gone back out, I wouldn't have found out that my food would have been all destroyed. I had to replug the refrigerator and my box for my internet. I also had a lot of dust and things to clean up. They didn't tell me all of those things.

    Also, when they were doing the installation, the tech broke a little piece off where my pantry is on the floor. I pointed that out to the tech and said, "Look, that wasn't broken." He was like, "Oh, I didn't do it." I said, "Look, that wasn't broken. Nothing was broken before you came. So that needs to be fixed." They fixed that but I knew that if I hadn't addressed that, it wouldn't have been. Other than that, the flooring was great. They did an excellent job. The floor is beautiful. I love it because it's scratch-resistant and water-resistant. I just didn't like the state that they left things in.

    Empire did a good job of installing the tiles in the master bath with an attached walk-in closet but I was disappointed because the tile floor was left dirty and had grout on it. I had to get down and scrub them. There was also grout on the baseboards. But the flooring looks good and the quality seems fine.

    Empire Today did a great job. It's the second time I've used them, and it's amazing how the competition wants to beat Empire up. Empire's product and their people were good and the price was very good as well. The only thing I found that they didn't do well was they were bundling up old stuff, extra pieces of carpet, and weren't paying attention and tossed a bunch of them next to my walkway, right into my planting bed. That aggravated me a little. They were putting it out there, then kicked it to the side, and I had to clean up my planting bed a bit.

    A guy from Empire Today came and did the estimate. I already knew what I wanted and he already had it, so I just did it. I got the wood floors installed in the rooms and hallway upstairs. It took six to eight hours to do all three rooms and the hallway, and the installers were very helpful. They helped me with my other furniture that I could not move. They did a great job, and I love the flooring. I just wish that they did the stairs, because now, I have to look for someone to do it. Other than that, the warranty is good. If anything happens, it's covered. Keep up the good job and let the clients be happy with the products.

    The rep did the appraisal, took measurements and gave me a quote. Installers showed up a few days later. They were extremely quick and efficient. They took 12 minutes to eat lunch and ran back to work. The quality of the flooring is really good and the installation seemed effortless.     I had wood floors installed in our entry way, living room, hallway, and one closet and another entrance. I felt much more comfortable with Anthony, who was the guy from Empire Today that came out to show us the product, and to help with financing which was another key factor along with the actual installers, who I felt treated us like royalty. They were so helpful. They moved things. Before they would start work on a particular area, they'd make sure that I knew what area they would work in, if I needed to come that way, or how long it would be before they would be finished with that particular area. They were very considerate of my comfort, my time, and how things were going for me.

    My floors are beautiful. It increased the value of my home. It has been a spectacular experience. As soon as we take care of this one, we're going to have our dining room done. And we'll come back to Empire for that. I was very pleased to be able to tell others that we did ours through Empire. They couldn't go wrong. If they didn't go with Empire, they would make a mistake.

    My experience with them has been good. The installers were on time and they explained everything. They also cleaned up their mess which was A+ for me. They also gave me instructions on how to care for the floor. But some of the pieces of wood he put across the floor are falling off. Other than that, they were very professional and they did a great job. I'm so proud of my floor. It's perfect and I love it. I'd use Empire again.

    I have been dealing with this company for MANY years, and NEVER had an issue, UNTIL I moved to Ohio. I had Empire come out and install flooring in my upstairs and the staircase of my home (Dec 2021). Shortly after (little less than a month) I noticed (in the staircase) that the flooring was separating and or coming apart and some stairs it was really loose, I called customer service and spoke with "Paul?" I was told that he would "look into it and get back with me" a week and a half went by, no news, no phone call, no email, I called "Paul" back got his VM and left a msg. 63 days later I get a VM from "Paul" apologizing profusely and explaining a family emergency was to blame and how I wasn't forgotten. Never heard from Paul after that.

    3 months maybe went by and I called Paul, and got a recorded msg saying, "Your extension is not available?". Okay, so I called the main CS # and spoke with a "Beverly" long story, short, the EXACT same bs that happened with Paul, happened with Beverly. This has now been about 9 months since my flooring was installed. I call customer service again, THIS TIME, I get "Victoria" and so many apologies and excuses about management and being short-handed and hows she's been there for many years blah blah blah "I'm so very sorry, I'm not going to let this happen again to you, I'm going to look into this and get installs to come out and take a look" 3 months went by... Nothing!! See the pattern??? I surely didn't!

    Fast forward to beginning of May 2023 Customer service and I are on the phone and I get a date for the "assessors" to come out and take a look at my flooring to make a decision on whether or not they'll be able to apply my warranty to the job they did back in 2021. I explain to the woman in the phone, that I don't get off work till 11am and could she put that in my notes since there's NO TIMEFRAME she could give me other than a "2 hour window" that they'll call and tell you they're on their way. (That didn't happen. They showed up at my home while I was at work, calling my cell, saying, were going to have to set up another time to come out since I'm not there) WTH??? Nothing in my notes I guess.

    Again fast forward to TODAY! I get approved for them to fix the flooring and today is install day (YEAH) I get a phone call from a Thomas (while I'm at work) saying that "your assessment didn't come through and your flooring is not in and we can't find out what we're supposed to do, and to please call him back ASAP" YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?!! So the woman (Kendra) who set up the assessment, install and product delivery TOLD ME, "We have everything we need to fix your flooring. They'll be out on 6/12 to install and I'll make a note on here that you're at work till 10" COMPLETELY DROPPED THE BALL! So I check my email (from Kendra) just to make sure I'm not getting my stuff mixed up, I see a phone # with an ext# directly to her desk. I call the # is another person's ext (what happened to Kendra???) So Thomas left me with saying, "I'm going to look into this, and see what I can find out, give me 1 week."

    I had wood flooring and tiles installed. I was pleased. I was happy with the wood flooring. That was the first thing that I had put in, and then my ceramic tile, which was 50% off. The installers were on time, which I really appreciated. They called ahead of time to let me know. They were very good. I was especially impressed with the people who did the tile.     I purchased laminate flooring for the kitchen, bathroom and pantry from Empire Today. Their cost is better than other companies. The sales rep was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the product and our needs. He helped me from start to finish with what the best options would be, what the best layout and design.     Empire did some flooring for me years ago and they did good work. I used them this time around too and had them install a wood product. They're planks. My sales rep was new and I was his first client. He seemed nice and accommodating. He answered my questions. If he didn't know the answer, he would call his boss. I could hear both sides of the conversation and it's pretty interesting. I was his last client on this one because he got promoted to a residential business. When he heard that I was gonna get some more flooring, he asked if he could take it.

    The installer was very nice and accommodating. He did the work in a day and he did good work. He went a little beyond the call of duty in making the floor look really nice. He cleaned up afterwards. It looked really good. I like the flooring and it was exactly like the rep explained it to me. Just looking at the pictures, it was in the laminate family and wondered if I should wax it. The installer explained to me that I can just Swiffer it. I have one of those.

    A couple of my friends asked me who did my floors and I told them. They mentioned that they saw the commercials on TV and maybe they might use Empire. One thing that I was a little bit confused about was their advertisement that said, "$99 a room". When I got my second order, the person said their deal is you don't have to pay for the material. You pay for the installation. When they called me about it, the person mentioned the $99 a room for the material. But when the appointment time came, he didn't show up. Nobody called. I texted back a few hours later asking, "Is it that you want to reschedule?"

    It was longer than a couple days when somebody else called me and wanted to know if I wanted to reschedule. This was when the person said to me also about just paying for the installation. But the guy that came out that talked to me said they've already removed that stuff. When my appointment time came around, the promotion was gone. That felt weird. If they had come out when I had the initial appointment, it would have been within that margin. I didn't feel good about that. But I had really planned for that little space to get done and taken care of. All in all if I take away that little mishap, I really like the person that came and explained things. I really like the installer as well.

    I purchased vinyl flooring from Empire Today. The rep was really good. He was explaining to me the different types of samples, the quality of the samples, and which one might be a better fit. He was giving me really good information to help me decide. The installers were very professional. They told me to take pictures off the wall, anything that could move during relocating furniture. They moved everything when they were working in the section and covered it up. They were so neat. Their execution of getting the floors done, I've never experienced anything like that. It was a two-day job and they were able to put everything back and organize their stuff. It wasn't all over the place. It was a clean process.

    I got a follow-up phone call to find out how everything went. I had to go through after they left within the next two days and see what felt like glue spots. They gave me some suggestions on how to get them out. Their service was very professional. They delivered in the time they said they would complete. They cleaned up their mess.     I had used Empire some time ago and they were very good so I thought to go back to them. I wanted something that sort of would blend in nicely with the floor and the existing living room carpet. The person they sent with the samples was supportive and helped me choose what was right for the rest of the house. I didn't feel rushed or anything. He showed us several pieces and told us the type of care that they would need. We eventually chose the one that I thought was best.

    On the installation day, they texted us in advance to say that they would be here and we were prepared for them. They also asked to remove any stuff on the stairs and we removed stuff from the garage so they could bring all their equipment and stuff in there. When they were finished, they asked us to come and take a look. They were very courteous, which is so important to me.

    We were switching out carpeting and I saw Empire's ad for the $99 a room. I had somebody come out, we liked the carpet, and we went with that. But it was a lot more than $99 a room. We were charged for the padding and stuff like that, which was fine, because they said that that was not included. Also, the installers were fantastic and so polite. They came in and got the job done. Anything that they needed to do, they ask first and from the moment they showed up, it was about an hour and a half install.     Empire did some carpet for me over a year ago and that didn't come out well. I had a one year warranty on the carpet and two or three days after the warranty was up, the carpet started buckling. Empire wouldn't cover that. The installers should have stretched the carpet when they first put it in but they did not. I talked Empire back to doing my floors and installers came out and did that. I had horrible floors put in but their guy said he made compensation for that. The cost and quality of the flooring are good from what they did. The technicians did everything well with the exception of when they put my bed back together. They didn't tighten it all the way down. Other than that, I was happy with everything they did. I told a friend the price of my flooring and I'll send him to Empire.

    I had laminate flooring put in by Empire. It's great. It's very durable, comfortable and easy to clean. I have a steamer that cleans the floor very well. It sanitizes. I have animals, and it's because of the animals that I had it installed because they ruined the carpet. Empire's rep was very nice, very thorough, and it was a very quick decision.     I used Empire before and they did a great job, so I decided to go back. I was driving by when I was new to a location that I'm living at right now. Then this time, I found them on Google. They did a really great job. I have no complaints with the way it looks. It looks beautiful. They did exactly what we wanted to do. The only problem was they put some type of glue. We've got a couple of pieces that have some glue. We don't know how to get it off. My husband called Empire and nobody ever responded. We would have thought that they would have responded. It's been a while ago. We've given them more than enough time to respond. My husband said that there was a couple of tiles that were broken. When they removed the old stuff, they cracked one of the tiles that were not supposed to be broken.

    I purchased carpet and luxury vinyl from Empire. The rep that came out was great. He reached out to his supervisor a couple different times to see if she had any promotional deals for us. We had a couple of different products picked out from different companies and the rep was trying to work pricing with us. He talked us through financing and made that super easy. So overall, he was very friendly. When he came out, another gentleman showed up who was in training. They had never met before and so we kind of got to listen to him training the other gentleman. That was pretty cool.

    With the installation of the carpet, the gentleman called before showing up. The installers showed up on time and totally courteous. Unfortunately, they had run out of carpet so they had to contact their person. We're in Fayetteville, North Carolina and they had to go up to Boston to get more. They were awesome about rescheduling. We had the carpet installed on Friday and they came up Monday and did the install of the last room, which was great. That Monday morning, they called again before they showed up. They showed us the product. So that was fantastic. The crew was very courteous. Everything was wonderful.

    We had the vinyl flooring put in our kitchen on a Saturday. Those gentlemen did not call before they came. They showed up early in the morning but I let them in because I wanted my flooring done. They were quick. They were gentle with all of our furniture. They did a fantastic job. The only thing was that none of them spoke very clear English. The one gentleman who was trying to do most of the communicating had to reach out to somebody else to speak to me. It wasn't necessarily a horrible thing, but it can be a safety issue for them and for us. But they were nice, courteous, clean, and respectful. We love the flooring. We are totally satisfied. The product that came was exactly the product that was shown to us. There was no variation in color or texture. Everything was fantastic. My only suggestion would be to put at least one person on the crew that could communicate more effectively.

    When I had my new floors put in, I used Empire again. They had to completely replace my whole floor because of problems but I still had a problem afterwards. I had to have the installer come back and fix a few things, and there are a few things I'm still taking care of. The installer said that everything would be fine for now, and that they could come back and fix the rest later. There are a few places where it doesn't seem like the flooring is lying flat. It seems a little puffy. There were also places where the trim they put in didn't meet properly. I could have done better than this, and I don't do woodworking.

    I had a spot where they put in the trim piece that went over the top of the stair that goes downstairs. The nail went through, and I ripped my finger open on it. I shouldn't have had to check to make sure there were no nails sticking through. The floor squeaks at the top of the stairs. The installer said that's my underlayment. I've been in this house for 35 years and my floors never squeaked. I'm not happy with that and they didn’t do anything about that.

    The installers were good. However, there was a three-hour delay of getting the carpet installed because they didn't think they had enough. They had to call the manager and the person that sold the carpet to us. They re-measured three times and realized they had enough. We got the most expensive carpet that they had. The carpet is beautiful, but we wanted something that was more dense. When you walk on it, you could feel that another person had walked on it. It does not come back up. They had only two types of padding. We got the one that was supposed to be vapor-barrier. We wanted it to last for a long time. Nobody's ever called us back to see how we liked it. They sure come out and put out a big show, but they don't follow up. Also, they've got this trim and the nails did not set in good enough. I've ripped my heel several times on them.

    I am very busy running a dog training business out of the home and I needed somebody that could come to me and bring me samples. I liked that Empire's website had a little option where I could take pictures. They kind of did this virtual overlay that gave me an idea of what the flooring might look like in the room even before the consultant guy came out with the samples. I liked him a lot. He was really good and prepared. I gave him my thoughts about looking online and what I was looking for. He showed me those and a few other options. In the end, we found a nice medium meeting ground place for what I wanted versus what my husband wanted as far as price point and quality.

    I had two different spaces done and for safety reasons, I stuck with replacing the carpet on the stairway itself and for the master bedroom and the upstairs hallway, they pulled the carpet and had the engineered hardwood flooring installed. I had two different crews -- one was the wood crew and one was the carpet crew. The installation had to be scheduled on different days and I was trying to get the bedroom taken care of before I went out of the country. The wood was done before the staircase carpet and the only issue was that at the very top where the carpet installer did the transition, he felt he could have done that better if the staircase was done first. The wood guys didn't wanna leave their job not finished so they put a little cap over and the carpet guy had to work around the cap instead of going under it. It looks great but from his point of view, he would have liked to have done the carpet first.

    They were very professional and did a good job. The only thing I wasn't anticipating was that my dogs would have to be crated the entire time. When they were working upstairs, I figured I could just secure and keep them downstairs but they needed to be able to go in and out of the house and saw outside instead of in my room. It totally made sense. I just wasn't mentally prepared for that. One of the dogs is my seizure alert service dog and having to crate him could have been problematic but I just stayed in the room where he was. It was fine. I understand why they needed to do that. Also, when they had their lunch break, they took lunch outside so that I could let the dogs out and told me to let them know when I'm ready. They were really accommodating with that.

    I'm liking the flooring a lot. The carpet is much nicer than the carpet that I had before. It was a different texture so that the dogs weren't trying to paw at it like they were with the last one. And I love the engineered hardwood floor. I was concerned at first because the boards are thicker. There was a thinner option but the consultant said that this exact same floor and a wider board was on sale. It was a difference of close to $3,000. He said he felt that this would be a good option for me and he was right. I am happy with it. I've got three other bedrooms and I'm gonna have them put the same engineered hardwood in those because I was very happy with them.

    We purchased carpet flooring for the home. We chose Empire Today because of how soon they were able to come out, and their turnaround time was really appealing. It was beneficial for us because we were looking to make a change fairly quickly. The installation was good. But it was a little rocky. The installers that came out didn't really speak very good English. So it made it a little difficult to communicate with them on what we needed. Also, there were some concerns with the baseboards when they installed them. It's a brand-new house so the baseboards were all secured to the wall. But after they installed them, there were issues where the baseboards were popping out. So trying to communicate to them to fix that was a little challenging, but nothing that we weren't ultimately able to rectify. The cost and quality were right in line with what we were looking for.

    I had four bedrooms done with carpet and the remainder of the house was done in porcelain tile. The cost was roughly around the same vicinity as other companies. But with Empire, they actually sent a tech to the house to measure everything and go over the whole process with us. So that was kind of nice. One of the sales reps came out and walked us through what the process would be. The tech brought samples of everything with them. They had different types of tile, colors, carpeting and padding.

    The removal process was dirty and dusty. So we took precautions ahead of time to wrap our cabinets and made it a little easier for them to get in and remove it. We moved some of the furniture to different rooms for them. So we were proactive towards it. The first crew that came out was the tile installers. They demoed the tile that was existing, and removed all the baseboards. So we did get new baseboards as well. Then they cleaned everything up, and made sure it was level and they mopped it up. Then they started laying their tile immediately. Once that happened, it was about five days later when we had the carpet installers come in. Those guys were efficient. There were two of them and they did four rooms in just a couple of hours. It was unbelievable.

    The only issue that I had was with the baseboard installer. I have oak cabinets, and he came and did some quarter round molding around there that was not satisfactory at all. So I did have to call the company and talk about it. Then they came out and fixed that. The baseboard that was installed was claimed to be that you don't need to paint it. But it is starting to delaminate already and I've only had it for a month. Other than that, everything is gorgeous. This porcelain 36-inch plank tile changed the entire dynamic of the home. We didn't do anything to the wall or paint but the tile makes it look brand new and very nice.

During the installation, my wife and I took everything out with the kids. We stripped all the baseboards down 'cause I didn't want them to have to do all that.     Saved. On 5/2/23 I had Empire to come out for the $99 special they were running. When Chris the salesman arrived I asked him about the $99 deal, I asked what is the labor and padding cost for my room, he never quoted on that and didn't want to talk about the $99 deal. After several attempts to get information about that deal out of him with no results I expressed to him that I am a 30+ year salesman in what I do and that the $99 deal is just to get before the customer to up sale.. His reply was, and I quote "YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT AND IF YOU KNEW THAT WHY AM I OUT HERE WASTING MY TIME AND YOURS." I was floored when he told me that, so essentially there is no $99 special but Chris is such a smooth talker. He brought me back around and like an idiot I bought from him.

    Chris brought samples of carpet in from his car, I expressed, this seems very thin and could matte easily, he assured me that it wouldn't and went on to explain the padding I would be getting makes all the difference and the technology of the carpet would not allow it to matte because it springs back once stepped on. I bought it hook, line and sinker..

    After the carpet was installed I was very dissatisfied. The padding made no difference at all, when walking on it especially without shoes it is the equivalent of thin carpet laid over a field of dirt with pebbles in it. I can feel every padding seam and padding lumps, in some places my feet sinks to the concrete sub floor and tac strips sting the bottom of my feet at entrance ways. Two of my neighbors came over to walk on the carpet and they both agreed with me, one of them stepped on a tack strip and her foot bled out.

    I called Empire to express my concerns wanting what I had spent to go towards better carpet, I spoke to Michelle the manager, she accused me of having buyers remorse and wanting something for free, I never asked for anything free, I was willing to pay more if I could get an adjustment for the crappy carpet. Michelle told me I would be responsible to pay full price for new carpet and no price adjustments would be made. At this point I'm fed up so I sent Michelle an email asking to come get the carpet and give me a refund, she told me that wasn't going to happen.

    Had Chris brought a sample of padding and carpet for me to step on I would not have bought it. The carpet is now matted in the traffic areas, I've vacuumed to no avail. It looks like two different types of carpet was installed, traffic areas verses low traffic areas. Empire will not do anything about it. No customer satisfaction or customer service at all.. THIS CARPET IS PATHETIC AND THEY'RE MAKING ME LIVE WITH IT.. I was lied to about the performance of the carpet.

    A rep came to my home and he was good and thorough. I did vinyl planks and it's good. I just wish they talked about if we had asbestos. When the installers came out, they were great. They were just polite and thorough. They found possible asbestos in three of the rooms and two months later, I still haven't finished having my floor installed. They've installed about 60% of the flooring. The installers won't disturb anywhere where there might be asbestos.

    I need to find someone to abate and Empire didn't give me anybody. I had to find someone for the testing myself. Once they came back, I had to find the person for the pavement myself. Just trying to get things scheduled for after the abatement and trying to get some of the customer service staff to call me back was painful. That aside, I love my flooring.

    They installed lower quality carpet than I requested and observed from the 3" sample. When I discovered this upon installation, I refused to sign the walk through sign off. The kid that installed it said he would be fired if I didn't sign it. So I signed it, but wrote next to my signature what I was unhappy with. No follow-up on the carpet quality issue. I had to call 15 times within the first month after installation. Have called. Emailed and fought for one year with no resolution. I am out $4700. This is a very unethical company selling substandard quality carpet. They scammed me into signing and told me it's my fault for signing the paper showing my acceptance of their crap carpet. Every single day that I walk on this carpet I boil with anger toward these crooks ESPECIALLY because I am a repeat customer. If this is how they treat repeat customers I'm not sure how they plan to scam new customers. Beware, shop elsewhere.

    We got vinyl sheet flooring put in and the installers were great. But when you're shopping on Empire Today's website, it doesn't tell you the thickness of the product. The vinyl sheet flooring is measured in two parts. The wear part on top that wears away when you step on it and the backing. But online, they don't tell you how many millimeters each product is as you look at it. They don't have the price per square foot either. Basically, you get an estimate from a estimator who comes to your house, and it's all-inclusive price, with installation too.

    I got the engineered hardwood from Empire Today which was upstairs. Then for downstairs, I had the vinyl planking. The floorings are very nice. When they were installed, the crew that came out were fantastic and very good. They did it in two days. Not only did they do 1,000-square-foot upstairs, but they did the staircase too. I had them rip out all that rug and the stuff going down to my basement. So, that's all engineered hardwood going down. On top of that, it looks beautiful and I love it. I would always use Empire Today and if I sell this house and buy a fixer up in South Dakota, I would have all that torn out and have hardwood up there. Hopefully, Empire Today's up there too. I'm also going to use them again because I got two bedrooms downstairs that are carpeted and I have this cat that thinks it's a dog that likes to rip up my carpet. So, I'm going to replace the carpeting in those two rooms.

    Wasted my time. They are real expensive. I thought they maybe were putting gold down in a small walk in closet. I had my bedroom done 18 x 15 Bruce Hardwood for 3200. They wanted 4000 plus. For a 7 x 12 closet I called Ziggy’s hardwood floor Co at 1400. Really I can't call these guys at all. Was going to do a small bedroom but that might be 12000 for a 15 x 13. Never again. Thought these guys were cheaper. Well gave it a try.

    I purchased laminate for two bedrooms. Tim was wonderful. He brought in different options and showed them to us. He was not pushy, but he was thorough in giving us all our options and he did make a couple of suggestions that turned out to be what we needed. Empire Today had to move some furniture and pull up old carpet, and the carpet tack. It was one gentleman who was very professional, nice, and did a great job. He was here at 7:30 and was done by 3:30. The flooring is water-resistant, pet-resistant, and matches the rest of our flooring. I could use a Swiffer mop on it or one of the products that are made for multi-surface.

    I saw an Empire advertisement about a sale going on. It was half off. A sales guy came over and he seemed professional and nice. I had the color in mind that I wanted. The guy had some samples to show me and I was able to pick out the ones that he said were the ones they had on sale. There wasn't a lot to choose from and the carpet was cheap and thin. You get what you pay for. I had carpet installed downstairs in one room.

    Two guys came out and installed the carpet. When they showed up, they said, “The guy didn't include the stairs.” I said I requested the stairs going downstairs and behind my bar. They didn't have enough carpet to do the stairs so they had to order more carpet. When they came behind the bar, they said they didn't have enough carpet for behind the bar. This was a second time. They had leftover carpet so I just rolled it up behind the bar, but it's not laid. It's not quite enough. I was disappointed with that.

    But then when the guys called the salesperson, he said, “You told me that you were going to end up putting flooring instead behind the bar.” I said, “No. I decided to put it behind the bar, too.” I didn't want to sit there and argue about it so I said, “Just whatever.” They did the stairs and the downstairs. Behind the bar, I rolled what they had left over but it was not down with a pad.

    Empire was okay. You get what you paid for $1,200. My friend warned me against going with Empire because she said somebody else she knows had an experience where they didn't lay the carpet down properly. It was coming up. When they called to get it fixed, they were not being very accommodating. But I said I was just gonna go with them because I bought the carpet from Home Depot supposedly but they delivered the carpet from these two guys that came from Detroit. They were contractors.

    We wanted to do the bathroom and the kitchen and we wanted to make sure the product was waterproof. The rep had stuff that looked like bathroom tile. Also, the floor tile in the kitchen came out good. The installers saw a couple of issues with the upstairs and they fixed it while they were here at no additional charge. It was awesome for them to go above and beyond for us and they got it finished within two days. The quality of the flooring was very good, especially with the kitchen. You got heavy appliances in there and the majority of my stuff slides good on it and doesn't scruff up the flooring. Empire Today did the financing through Wells Fargo and we did a down payment so, we have 5,000 left to pay off on the floor. I've dealt with Wells Fargo before and they know my payment history. So, it wasn't that much of an issue to put out there and approve it.

    I would recommend Empire because of the professionalism not only of the sales rep but also of the installers, where they were trying to be quick and showed concern because we have indoor animals that can't go outside. So, they were very good about closing doors and making sure the cat stayed inside. They did a very good job with what they did and I appreciated them beyond the property.

    We had some carpets that were destroyed and it had to be done quick. I got somebody on the phone from Empire and then, they were here within a couple of days and knocked it out. They installed carpet in two rooms and they did a superb job. The salesman, Frank, was a really good guy. A couple of months later, we needed more flooring and we called again. We asked for Frank and he showed up. He did a great job and knocked it out of the ballpark. Then, the guys came in and they went above and beyond to make the transition easy. They knocked it all out in one day. Not one hiccup and everything was perfect. The only thing was I got two or three calls from reps asking me when I wanted the carpet or the flooring installed after it had already been installed. But that doesn't concern me.

    We had carpeting done in a bedroom and family room with Empire Today, and we're very happy with it. The installers worked very hard. They got the job done before the end of the day, which we were happy about. However, I've had two experiences now where Empire called, rang twice, and hung up before I got to the phone. When people call to follow up, they need to wait until the customer can answer the phone. Also, unfortunately, afterward, we found a few more bumps and nicks in the wall than I would have liked. But it was a very awkward installation of laying carpet in the hallway with a closet on either side in one piece. That's not easy to do.

    I had two bedrooms re-carpeted, and one bedroom installed with laminate flooring. The rep was timely and friendly. He was not shy about delivering his opinion on what I should do and he was a little pushy. The installation team was very timely and super friendly. They did a good job. I had used Empire before in a previous house years ago and they were great from start to finish. At that time, they were doing the 50% carpet padding installation. That worked out great because I got the 50% all the way through. It's the same quality carpeting padding. But this time, it was not the one that was on sale.

    I chose the laminate floor for the one bedroom, but my initial thought was to put the hardwood floating floor in there. But the salesman told me, "Oh, yeah. You can't do that because it'll be too high to match the other, the floor in the hallway." When I look at it now, that would not have been true. The laminate floor that's in there is lower than the floor in my hallway. So I wish I had gone with the hardwood.

    The options were good, and the first guy that came out, the consult guy, was great. I knew exactly what I wanted, and he didn't pressure me. Everything was good there. The laminate flooring was installed in my living room, basement, family room, the hallway, and one of the bedrooms. It was almost the whole house, and installation took three days. The first day was good, but the second and third days were a little rough, mostly because the guys didn't have a bag on the saw. They covered my garage in sawdust and we weren't happy about that. My boyfriend was really ticked off. Other than that, it went fine.

    I have the water-resistant laminate flooring, and it's good for pets. I was also amazed at how much dirt my carpet was holding. Now I have to sweep up a lot more because it doesn't hold it like the carpet did, but I like it a lot because the house is cleaner. The cost was about $10,000 more than I thought it was gonna be, but that's okay. It was expensive, but that included the new carpet too. So, I did two bedrooms. While the hardwood floor guys were great, I wasn't as happy with the carpet installer as I was with the other guys. The carpet installer was on his phone a lot, and he broke something in the house. I wasn't thrilled that he was by himself moving furniture, and that would be a big thing for Empire Today. If it's possible, they shouldn't send guys out by themselves.

    I had Empire Today do a continuation of a job I had them do almost two years prior. I was very happy enough with the first job and I wanted to put more of the Broad Street vinyl planking in my house in other rooms. This install that they most recently did for me was in one bedroom and the bathroom. I took out the carpet in the bedroom and the tile in the bathroom, and continued the Broad Street vinyl planking that matched the rest of the house. The installation was done in one day and they had a whole crew that came out. They were on time and they made sure that the planking was an identical match to the existing flooring. I already cleared out everything from the room, so they were able to just get in and install the floor.

    I wish that the company would do real baseboard but all they do is they put in this little quarter round. I did not want them putting in the quarter round because I chose to do my own baseboard. They still gave me the quarter round in case I wanted to use it in specific areas but it did match the floor exactly. Other than that, I like that the flooring is waterproof. I have dogs and cats and it has held up very well to them in the main part of the house, which is why I was glad to be able to put it in the other two rooms. All in all, I wanted my flooring to look like it was a continuous floor and Empire Today did exactly what I asked.

    I had laminated wood installed in the whole house and carpet on the stairs. Empire Today's salesman was a good guy. I told him that if he gave me a good deal, he had the job. He got me the best deal, so that was what I did. But the installers were dirty and I didn't like them. They came to my house and they opened the windows and doors like it was their own house. They didn't even ask. They also told me to shut the heat off and it was cold. Then, they had to come back and that took a couple of more days. They made a lot of dust, too. I just painted my house last year, so I got to repaint it again. They don't take care of the people's house. They just do what they want, do their job, and get out of there. But other than that, I'm happy with the job they did.

    The Empire rep was extremely helpful and pointed out tons of options for us. His name was Wade and we couldn't have an easier time of it. He set everything up. He went over all the warranty stuff. He really made sure that we were well-informed before we said, "Okay, go ahead." There were two guys who came to install the carpet. There were some issues with communication at first. But that got resolved, and then things went smoothly afterward. For what we got, it should have been $8,000. But we got it on the special of 50, 50, 50. But, all of a sudden after that, they went to $99 a room. They said, "Within 30 days if you find something, we'll do something about the cost." At 50, 50, 50, that was good. $99 a room would have been better, but the installation wouldn't have been cut in half.

    I scheduled an appointment with Empire Today for a flooring estimate. I received at least 4 notices confirming my appt. A couple of hours prior to my appointed time, I received a call from them explaining they have no one in the area to give me an estimate. They said sometimes they "just don't have anyone in the area". I said "OK" and hung up. They called back and asked if I wanted to cancel. I told them they had already done that. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I told them I didn't believe they would show up to do the work if they can't even show up to give me an estimate.

    A few days later someone from Empire Today called claiming to be from the "Corporate Office". He apologized and asked if I would reconsider and would I please allow them to come to my home and give me an estimate. He assured me they had made an error and that would not happen again. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. I received several more (at least 4) notifications during the week confirming my appointment. The appointment was for 3:00 - 5:00 today. I received a call at 2:30 and was told they have no one in the area. I said "OK" and hung up. Again they called back and asked if I wanted to cancel.

    I called their office and there is no "Corporate Office" trying to do the right thing, only salesmen telling people what they want to hear. They wasted 3 weeks of my time waiting for them to come out. I am trying to recover from the Florida hurricane and they are careless with people. I am writing this review to let people know that if you choose to use this company you cannot trust the info given to you by the salespeople. They will lie or avoid truth just to meet their quota. They have no control over anything. I don't like to take time off work and not get paid because they can't show up or call giving me a reasonable amount of notice. Twice!!!! Shame on me!!!     I really was interested in hardwood flooring but Empire's rep talked me into doing laminate flooring in the kitchen, living room, family room, bathroom, laundry room. He said that hardwood flooring was softer and that water damage mostly would happen to it. I could scratch it up too. I needed the flooring to be scratch-resistant, water-resistant, easy to clean, and pretty.

    On the day of the installation, Empire called and said they would be there in half an hour. They were there in 25 minutes. They were very prompt. They had to tear out the carpet and hardwood flooring. They packed up the carpet and they took it away. They also had to move the toilet and I had to move the sink. I had disconnected the stove and the dryer because they were gas. The crew moved everything out of the way along with all the other furniture. They were very clean and they did all the cutting and everything outside. They worked nonstop and they did a great job. There were two of them. They took a break at the same time because they were constantly just working. They would pull up a section and refloor it. There was no place I couldn't walk or couldn't get to. The installation took two and a half days. I highly recommend my installers.

    The flooring is beautiful. They did really nice work on the baseboard and the finishing. One of them wrapped my floor down to my basement. I was told, "Just don't put anything really harsh on the floor... don't scrub it with Ajax or something like that." I'm supposed to call Empire and get some sort of cleaning kit. I liked Empire. They were fast and professional. The only thing was the product that they sold me. It's the same product that I could see in Costco. Part of me wonders, "Could I have gotten it for a less amount?" I choose not to do the math because I got the installation done and I got the warranty. All in all, I'm happy with the job. I'm not upset about the money, but back of my mind I probably could have got it cheaper if I followed the salesman more.

Empire was able to reduce the price to where I was more comfortable going with them instead of a different company at this time. I wasn't here when they installed it, but they were able to do what they needed to do. They vacuumed the room and I wasn't even sure about it. So, I vacuumed it myself and I got barely nothing up. I was very thankful for that. Whatever the vacuum that was, it was a good vacuum because I didn't get anything myself. The quality of their work was good.     Empire Today was so much more responsive. When I called them to make an appointment with a representative, they came out the next day and had all the flooring samples available. I was trying to match the original floor so I could patch an area. It wasn't available, so I ended up re-flooring the whole house. They scheduled that within a week and completed it within three days. They did a great job. It was a laminate flooring and they had to chip up two rooms that had white ceramic tile. My only issue was it should have been done in two days. They didn't bring enough flooring to complete one of the rooms so they had to come back but couldn't come back the next day. They had to wait until the next day. It was four days where everything was torn up. But it wasn't a big deal and I was very happy with the job they did.

    Empire was slightly lower in cost and it seemed like there were a few benefits as far as the warranty. Their sales rep was patient and he took his time to explain everything. He showed me the basic samples and things that we can look at. My wife and I talked about it and the rep also put in his advice and recommendations. That helped us make a better decision.

    We had Empire redo a stairway and a bedroom carpet. The installers pulled up some of the old carpet and pad. They were methodical in the way they did it. It was quick and easy. They didn’t interfere with anything we were doing during the day. The first project took about five hours and the second one took two. The work they did was better than what I've seen in a while from other companies. Each installation had two people. Everybody was engaged and they weren't standing around. Everything is clean and there are no defects in the flooring. I didn't see anything that I didn't like. I was told to wipe down the flooring with a wet warm cloth and not to use chemicals. Definitely give Empire a try.

    Empire's sales rep was really nice. She explained a bunch of things to us and showed us the samples and gave us an overview. We selected from the samples. We did carpeting and flooring. Those were installed the next day. However, we needed time to clean our house and everything else over three weeks. The installation went okay, except for a couple of things. Mostly, it was the tile. They had miscalculated how much of the trim they needed for the tile, so they had to come back the next week to finish it.

    The gentleman that came to fix it did a really nice job. It was just the waiting part. We couldn't put our fish tank back up because the flooring area was in the area of the house that had the fish tank on it. They needed the carpet available. In the meantime, six of our fish died because we couldn't get them back into their tank. We had to start over when we put our fish tank back together.

    That issue aside, the carpeting is about the same color as what I had in here. It had been in here for 28 years and it had places where it was worn. The new carpet looks wonderful. But we'll eventually have to have Empire come out and pull this carpet a little more to tighten it up because there are a few spots where it's not quite as tight as it could be against the wall or a door opening. We've got the one spot where they had to wait for the trim. I've noticed that it's a squeaky spot against a cement floor. That aside, I love the tile that's in the kitchen and the bathroom.

In my opinion you need a new crew that is not rude that are professional when they are in our home and then leaving because we're upset about living in our garage for a damn week and then telling us they can't do the job we want Even though by multiple people in the After many attempts, the crew basically Said screw you and left. If I were you reading this, I would not go with Empire Today their crew is a joke. So I'm expecting a full resolution or else Empire Today is going to lose $8,000 because of the demo and installation.

    The company said yes you are on the books and it will be done. I think anybody would feel the same way. So if you're going to look into Empire Today I would say save your energy and do not hire this company it is a sham. They need a new crew to do the work that they so-called stand behind. This company is a joke. Do not use them at all. They came in and left as soon as they got here. This is the most unprofessional company I've come across. My husband is at his wit's end and the crew is rude as hell.

    I had vinyl plank flooring installed in the bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room and the hallway. We're happy with the work but there's one place that separates the kitchen from the dining area and the separator piece has come up. It's like they didn't put enough glue on it. But the experience with Empire Today was good. It's my understanding that there was a lifetime warranty. They did a great job in dealing with the dogs and with us and they were friendly. I have a two-year old and during the install, she decided that she was gonna lock herself into one of the master bedrooms in the home. Those installers stopped everything they were doing to try to get this door unlocked with a credit card, a knife and their tools. They tried everything. They were gonna jump in the window for us.     Empire was able to do the work quickly and they fit into my schedule. We had an old carpet removed and a new carpet replaced in an upstairs office. The sales rep was knowledgeable and very effective. She was quick and got right to the appointment that was needed. Their crew then installed my carpet the very next day. The individuals that Empire employed were exemplary craftsmen. They were well over and above what I expected. They were incredibly knowledgeable and were clearly professionals. They took a lot of pride in their work.

    The padding of my prior carpet was of better quality. The padding of the new one doesn't feel quite as soft and as large. But it's fine. Also, there are a couple of areas in the carpet that have a little fraying where it was attached because it's a circular room. That's a little disconcerting. I was hoping that that wouldn't show. But if that's the only thing that we have to contend with, with everything else being positive, that's fine.

    Empire Today had product in stock so that we could get the job done. Other places didn't have anything because of backup orders. The salesman was here four hours. The product we wanted had been on sale, but it was not then. So, they wouldn't give it to us at a sale price. We settled on another product, which we're happy with. The salesman was fine. The problem was the ridiculous amount of management that they have with that company. We got calls from different people. They did not talk to one another about the project.

    The salesperson locked in a price with us before he left, and nobody knew about it. And there was call after call. We fought with them over the price because it wasn't communicated correctly. So, the management is awful. The installers are terrific. They did a very meticulous job with our wood floor and carpet. The salesperson knew what he was talking about, gave us a good deal. Other than that, accounting and management was terrible.

    We got pretty hard sales and I don't feel like the carpet I got is what I purchased. I would have preferred to go to a location rather than have somebody come and not be able to get any samples of the material. The rep came with samples but I wasn't able to keep any of them. So I'm not able to compare what I chose and what's in my house. The pad doesn't feel as soft as what we had during the sales visit. Also, the carpet looks cheaper.

    The installers worked really hard and they got a lot done. But they were six hours later than we expected and there were some errors. We had them come back and fix some parts that started to pull out. The overall cost was a lot, but it was in line with what we would pay from anybody else. They were able to do it faster, and that was a bonus. Other than that, I'm not thrilled. The whole experience felt hands off from Empire's perspective. The salesperson and the installers were independent contractors.

    Empire Today’s reps were responsive and came out the same day. Then, the installation was the next day. We did the carpet and two bedrooms. We had the installers come out a second time to repair a section. When it was originally installed, it wasn't stretched. So, there were some loose ends that needed to be readdressed. They came out within a day or two and fixed it and did it right. So, although we had an issue upfront, it was easy to correct. I'd recommend Empire Today. But I would want more of a greater selection of carpets. What we saw was limited, but it fit the needs that we were looking for and the spaces we were looking for. I had a very positive experience.

Empire Today gave me the time between 8:00 and 6:00, which was not really good, but when I called, they shortened the window some.     Empire's rep was thorough, nice, and did an okay job. I just think there may be some deception in prices. If you tell them that’s too much, they lower the price. During the installation day, when the guy was about 30 minutes out, he called me. He was on his way. We went over what areas would be carpeted. When he was done, we walked through to make sure everything was okay. The only thing is I didn’t think they did a good job of making sure the house was clean. As far as the new flooring, it has really nice and thick padding. The quality is good. I would recommend Empire, but people should make sure they get really fine details taken care of. They should make sure about clean up and that price is good.

    I had my den and my bedroom and a hallway done by Empire Today. I got luxury laminate. I had a price in my mind and they were in that ballpark of that price, and that was why I went with them. When the lady called me on the phone, I told her what I wanted. I already had hardwood floors down and I described to her that these other two rooms had carpet in them and I wanted to match my hardwood floors. When the salesman got here, he had exactly what I had said I wanted. So, that was incredible.

    As far as the installation, there was a site manager. He came in and showed me the product that he was gonna put down. He brought a team of five people in. The night before, they had asked me to move all the small clutter stuff, and that they would take care of the big stuff. I did what they asked me to do. They moved out all the big stuff and were very professional. The installation was all day because they had to pull up all my old carpeting in both rooms and in the hallway, and they moved the furniture out of the way. Then they had to put down the new flooring, and then quarter round, I had carpeting, and then they had to put the quarter round down, and then they had to put the planking down where it went from one room to the next room.

    I was extremely pleased that my floors are beautiful. I would recommend the team. My experience was 5-star. They took me room to room and let me examine everything and look in the corners. They were very courteous to me. As far as the care instructions, they said this stuff was indestructible. They explained to me just wet mop it. Thus far, all I've done is dust it.

    I used Empire because I figured they were a large reputable company. At first, my experience was fine. But it ended up being awful. The salesman was horrible and he should be fired. He pretty much did a bait-and-switch on us. He told us what we wanted to hear as far as pricing was concerned. He told us the original price and exactly how much it would be per month. I told him, “No way, I'm not paying 300-something a month for 48 months for flooring.” He then came back with another price and told me exactly what it would be, 247.91 a month for 48 months. I could do that. But that ended up not being that. When the crew came to do the installation, they wanted $4,800 on top of the $12,000 that I was quoted for the flooring, which I ended up not paying. I told them, “No. That was not our agreement.” They called and got the $4,800 taken off.

    I got my first bill and instead of expecting 247.91 for my payments, it was 315. I called Wells Fargo and they can't do anything about it because I had to call Empire. They said that was the agreed upon amount, which it was not. The salesman told me that it was a simple interest, so my interest would have ended up being about $1,400. According to Wells Fargo, it is a compound interest, which makes a huge difference between $1,400 in interest and $3,400 in interest. I ended up paying the whole thing off because I refused to pay $3,400 in interest when that's not what I was told.

    I have several friends that are looking to do hardwood, including my parents, not to go to Empire under any circumstances. I could have gone with Home Depot and gotten the flooring for $3,000 or $4,000 less. I would never refer anybody to Empire again. That aside, the installers were awesome. I've read reviews before about how horrible the installers were. The ones that came to my house were outstanding. They were on time and they cleaned up. They were friendly too. It was the salesman that should not be doing any sort of sales because he just tells you what you wanna hear and then he probably figures, “You know what? We'll deal with the consequences later.” I'm furious.

    When the installer came, he found that our floor needed leveling. It was an amount that I was not able to pay out of pocket at the time. I told him the only way it could be done is if it was included in the financing. He got on the phone, came back in, and told me they got this on the financing. He said he would go to the warehouse the next day, pick up all the material, and he would be back to level the floor. They came back and got the floor all leveled. I signed the paperwork for them to turn in so they can get paid. Then, I got a call Tuesday morning stating that there had been a mistake. The leveling was not included in the financing and I had to come up with a payment for it.

    I told them that was not possible and that it was not my problem because they told me it was included in the financing. I told them they need to figure it out on their end. They called me back the next morning and they ended up waiving all the cost of leveling the floor. That part was great but the point up to it where there was so much miscommunication within Empire, I was very disappointed. It was extremely stressful because the house was in total disarray. The final product and the installation were outstanding but I have three bedrooms that are gonna need done and I'm very reluctant to hire Empire again.

    I ordered carpet for three bedrooms. Working with their rep was very positive. But I wasn't anticipating the amount to be as high as it was. I felt that I was gonna get the best deal by going with Empire. But it wasn't until I got the estimate and I checked in with some private contractors that they were like, “Oh, that's a little pricey.” But Empire was going to be able to do the job when I needed and gave me a warranty. That was a selling point for me.

    My recent purchase was carpeting for my daughter's house. My daughter was removing old carpeting and getting a new one. The Empire ad said that there was some kind of a sale going on. But when the rep came, he said that was only selected carpeting. We still went ahead with them. They move the furniture around which is nice when you have small areas. They have all the equipment too. The crew was very nice and I was not disappointed.

    We wanted something that was a little bit thicker and one that would last a little bit longer. The only problem that we encountered was I didn't like the way that it was handled when the people come out with the carpeting. It reminded me of a car salesman. We picked out one carpeting. The salesperson called someone and they verified and said that they could get the carpet at a certain price. The following day, we got a phone call and stated that we could not have that carpeting at that price. We had to pick a different carpeting. At the time, we had looked at two different carpeting. We had to go with our second choice.

    I didn't like that because to me, I had a contract that said I was supposed to get that carpeting, but I'm not one for fighting for stuff. The other carpeting was just as good but I didn't like that aspect of it because they had to go back and forth with conversations. Whoever they talked to in the store agreed to that price and then the contract was written up.

    One other thing that I wish that they would do is break things down because they said that you can compare shops. But you can't compare shops if you don't know exactly what they're charging you for installation and for padding. Empire gives you one lump sum. Also, they could bring more variety of carpeting. We did the camera thing. When I saw the carpet on the camera and when they called to tell me that we couldn't have the other carpeting, I said, "But this other one looks so gold." The rep told me it was just the camera. He said, "It is the same color as what the other carpeting is. It's just a different brand." Other than that, the convenience of them coming out and doing things was great. My daughter recommended Empire. She took a piece of the carpeting that she had installed in her place and took it to work. The ladies that were looking at it really liked it.

    I got carpets from Empire Today which I had in three three bedrooms, a den, and an office in my home. I like the color and the designs. The cost is a little bit high, but it's okay. It was something I wanted, so I paid for it. For the installation, Empire Today sent someone to do it and it was done very well. The individual that did the installation was a professional and he did what he was supposed to do. But after the installation was completed, there seems to be some faults in the carpet in every room. There are some marks in the carpet which are not part of the design of the carpet and I am not satisfied with the way it looks. So I called them and they listened to what I had to say about the issues I'm having with the imperfections in the carpet.

    They sent someone out today and I'm waiting to hear from them now that they have a report and pictures. More than likely we'll have to replace the carpet because it does not look good now that it's installed. I'm not accepting anything less than replacement. But right now, I have no complaints and I'm satisfied. If they don't do what they say they're going to do, then that's when I'm gonna be unsatisfied.

    When I called Empire, everything came out okay. So, their representative came through and showed us this and that. We picked out some stuff, and we went ahead and got it done. Installation was quick. The flooring looks very good. I got a living room and a den. The den is about 11x12 and the living room is about 23x25. I had a closet. When you come in the door, there was tile on the floor. So, I had them go ahead and take that up and put the wood down there, too. It came out great. My wife loves it. I'm happy with the whole thing. Everything came out pretty beautiful.

    The Empire Today rep said they would call and give me a time they could be here and show me some samples, and give me an estimate. And he was true to his word. Two guys came and put the flooring in. They did a nice job. They moved the big stuff out of the way. Most of the furniture was out of the way, but I've got a home entertainment system that's in three pieces that had to be moved, and they split it all out of the way. The estimate fit what I wanted to do, and I liked the look of the carpeting. It got a few compliments from people who have come over. They like it. And when you vacuum it, it stands up again. Empire was a great fit for me. I would do it again if I had to.

    The workers who put in the carpeting I bought from Empire were great. They were timely and the one guy that would seem to be the subordinate of the boss guy was constantly running up and down the steps with different tools so that they didn't clutter up my house. They were very efficient and they laid the carpet very well.

    But the process was absolutely horrible. We still have an unfinished room with no baseboards because three different people told us three different things, and they were all from different departments. The salesperson who I signed the contract with told me that I could add on the baseboards when they called me to schedule the install. So when the installers called, I said that the salesperson told me I needed to add on the baseboards. The accounts payable person told me that they were already on there. I had her double check and I told her that it is for an unfinished room without baseboards, so I had to know for sure that they were on there. I was told that would be an extra cost, so I didn't understand how all of a sudden they were included. She said they were included, so I got off the phone with her.

    The first day we were supposed to install, nobody showed. I waited around and I had to be there from 8:00 AM until 6:30 PM. They showed up at 6:30 PM with the wrong carpeting. So, I got no apologies from the company. I also got apologies from the installers and they were the only redeeming aspect of the whole entire thing. They said they were contracted in, so they're not even a part of the company.

    Then, the next day, they showed up in the morning with the carpeting. We still got no apologies from the install lady and she informed me that the carpet people only do carpet, they don't do baseboards. It's a two-year-old's room, so now, she has exposed areas in her room. I can't even put her in the room. The best part was that the lady said she'd have Empire get in touch with us to connect us with the contractor for the baseboards but that never happened. It's been months now. No apologies ever happened either. It was horrible and I would never ever ever recommend Empire to anyone, ever.

    Also, the installers started with a stripped room. They didn't even have the strip carpet. We gave them brass and there was nothing in there. All that was in there was a flooring and a subfloor that they had to lay over. The room was completely clear, there was nothing they needed to do except to lay the carpet and put in the baseboards, and they couldn't even get that done. We were promised multiple times by different departments that we would be provided with baseboards and still don't have them or have not been reached out to schedule them to be put in. And we're not even asking for them for free, we were just asking to pay for them and get them installed.

    In August of last year, we put in laminate in the living room floor. Two men came to do the installation. They moved some of the bigger items but there wasn't much of a mess at all.     I got laminate flooring done on the first floor of my house. I also got it in the living room, the kitchen, and the powder room. When the sales rep from Empire Today came out, it was an exciting day. The guy was very knowledgeable of the product. I could tell that he was trying to sell stuff to get the biggest sale he could, but he made sure that whether he got the sale or not, what we wanted was within our budget, and he was able to make that happen. On installation day, a three-man crew came out. They didn't show their credentials. I did see that on the checklist, but they had an Empire paperwork, so I didn't really make a bigger deal of it.

    But they came through and did a walkthrough with us. At first, we were told that in our bathroom, we would have to remove our sink in order for them to get under the floor or get that part of the floor. We said that that wasn't what was told to us and that we were told to just get everything off the floor. They called somebody from Empire and they were able to come to a resolution that they would go around the sink so we wouldn't have to remove it. And we weren't going to remove it because we didn't know how and I didn't want to mess with something and not have to be able to put it back.

    As soon as we did that initial walk through, confirmed the rooms that we wanted to get done, took a look at our laundry room and our coat closet to see about that transition piece, because we didn't change anything in there, they confirmed everything and signed off. Then, as soon as we initialed, they started pulling up the carpet and they got done in about three and a half hours. And that included them taking a lunch. So I was surprised at how efficient they were. The time was allotted was six hours but they got it done under five hours. They got there at about 9:30, and they were done at about 12:45. They did a very good job.

    I'm obsessed with the color of my new flooring and how it blends so well with the rest of my house. I like that it was thin so they didn't have to do any extra stuff to my floor. In fact, I had a different type of laminate on my floor, but they said, because that was attached to the concrete and it was nothing but a concrete slab underneath, they didn't have to pull that up. So that cut down on their time. But it looks really good and it doesn't look puckered anywhere. It doesn't look like my friend from next door did it. I also recommended my mom to use Empire for her home as she wanted to get new carpet.

    Empire Today is everywhere and we used them in the past. I love that they come out to the house as that is much easier and I like the convenience of it. They just spend all the time needed and don't rush anything. We had the three bedrooms carpeted by them and had luxury vinyl tiles installed in the rest of the house. The installation was great. Because of the snow, we had to mess some things around and the times ended up being a little bit different. But it didn't hurt anything. They did a phenomenal job and the flooring looks beautiful. We're loving it.

    Go for Empire. Have someone come over and talk to you. They're very thorough and they give you lots of options. They didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need or sell me up. They look at what you're trying to do and give you the options of what this will do and what this will do. They give you options. My sales guy was with us through the entire thing. I had somebody that I could go to through absolutely every step of the process from him coming in and helping me figure out what we needed, all the way through until it was over and done with. It was huge to me to have somebody at my fingertips. If there was a problem or a question, I can call and he would be so patient and tell me what the deal was and explain everything. I had questions at various times. I would call him and I'd either get him or he'd get right back to me and answer anything he could. If he didn't know, he'd find out. I appreciate that a lot. That was one of my favorite parts.

    I bought linoleum for the bathroom, kitchen, and dining room and carpeting for the three bedrooms, hallway, and living room. The sales rep with Empire Today knew the materials and understood what I was looking for. They put the linoleum on the first day then the carpet on the second day. However, I don't like the work that they did. The house is 40 years old. I was missing one piece of molding and I told them to not worry about it. But they put quarter-round molding down and it does not match anything in the house. I took pictures, sent it to them, and they said, "That's what we told you we're gonna put down and you okayed it." I don't know anything about wood just like they probably don't know anything about my job. Now, I've got another team that's gonna come in at a later date and replace all the molding at my cost. I would not use Empire Today again.

    We had carpet and vinyl floors installed by Empire. The carpet was fine but there were many issues with the vinyl flooring. Empire sent two teams out to install that both refused to do the work, with the 3rd team sent agreeing to install the flooring. The 3rd team finished the work but left many issues with the vinyl planks. Empire scheduled a repair to be done but no one showed the day of. The following repair they scheduled, the team showed up and fixed a few of the issues but created many more in the process and left after they were done. Following this we requested that Empire send another team to do the work correctly and they refused. We were told the only team they could send would be the original install team because they contract the work out to other flooring companies that do not have the large footprint within the flooring industry that Empire is able to provide.

    The original install team never came back to repair anymore work due to Empire refusing to honor the warranty for labor and material unless my wife and I signed documentation that would give us a $500 credit and would legally bind us into a "hush" agreement, meaning we were not allowed to speak to anyone of this matter. We refused to sign and they never sent anyone out to fix the floors, they refused to refund us or do anything unless we paid them more money. I would great recommend that anyone thinking of using this company should stay away.

    The install team Empire hired to do the job told me they were getting paid $1000 for the install from Empire, while Empire was charging me $6000. Stay away from this company. Try to find a local company with ties in the community that actually care for the work performed and customer satisfaction. I hope no one else will have to experience this type of issue. Also do no trust BBB for reviews as I posted my complaint and they closed it out without any resolution and left the post listed with "customer satisfied with outcome" although this is not the truth.

    I use Empire Today for everything. When I first bought this house, I called I use Empire Today and they put in kitchen and dining room floors, rugs, downstairs in the living room all the way up the stairs and bathroom floor. All the floors in this house were done by Empire. The living room, on the stairs, and the top landing here are rugs. In the bathroom, floor tiles. And downstairs in the kitchen and the dining room, laminated floors. The windows, treatments. But it stinks that they don't do the window treatments anymore, because it's time to change my window treatments.

    The installer came in. He changed my bathroom floor. He put boarding around the floors. He did an excellent job. The next day, I had some water on the bottom of the floor, so he came, took the toilet off and sealed it again. I got a mop that you put water in and it steams the floor. 1-2-3 and I'm done. And the floors dry fast. The other thing I love about it is if I spill water, it would not evaporate into the floor. I have to wipe it up.

    I had hardwood flooring installed by Empire. My first issue was that the end pieces came off 2 weeks after the installation. I called the company, and the issue was resolved. My second issue was that within 30 days, the wood started to discolor in several places and it keeps getting worse. I contacted Empire and sent pictures. They told me that the discoloration appears to be the result of moisture collected in the house. I have had the house tested for humidity / moisture. The company which did the testing and 2 other flooring companies stated that the issue was that there was no padding installed between the concrete and the wood to prevent moisture buildup.

    Two weeks ago, I started to call other companies to see if I could replace the wood with tiles. I contacted Empire to compare prices, the representative came on March 20th, looked at the floor and noticed a few things that were not done properly, he raised the concern about the padding to prevent the moisture from seeping thru. Upon finding out that Empire installed the wood, he did not measure or leave an estimate. He promised to come back the next day with a flooring specialist to take a second look. He did not come back.

    He called on March 21, to make a different offer. He Had a contractor who would be able to replace the discolored wood if I had any remaining wood left. He made me count all the extra pieces that I had left and also all the bad pieces to be replaced. I have not heard from him since then. I have called and left a message, but he has not responded so far. I just need to know what or if anything can be done at this point, before I call a different company to have the wood removed and replaced by a different company this time.

    The sales portion went fine but the installation day was another story. The day of installation, before even starting work the installer clogged my toilet. Then they did not evenly lay the carpet, it didn't even line up against the wall, they left a gap. The installer said it was supplied to be like that. Before leaving they demanded payment even though I had paid in full when I made the order. They were extremely aggressive in demanding money (that I had already prepaid). They said they couldn't leave until I paid so I had to call sales and have them call the installer to tell them I paid and they need to leave my house. Overall it was a horrible experience and I ended up having to hire another company to fix the space near the walls where empire didn't lay carpet. Be careful if you hire Empire Today.

We got carpet in the living room, hallway, and master bedroom. We also got vinyl in the master bathroom. Regarding the installation of the carpet, the men were really nice, but we're not terribly happy because they left our master bedroom and our hallway lumpy. There are lumps or screws underneath the carpet, so when I walk barefoot, I can feel the lumps. The living room was installed nicely. I'm afraid of them ripping up the carpet, because it looks nice, and I don't really want them to undo what they've done and mess around and move furniture.     A salesman came and he measured everything. He was really pushy and wouldn't stop talking. After three hours, he was still talking and I was falling asleep. That was when he left. His price was pretty high. I then had a guy call me on the phone and he knocked it down $1,000. I was telling him about the first guy and he said he would get another person out there. A lady comes and she was really nice and she measured everything. She gave me another price that was even lower. I told her, "How can it be that low? There's gotta be some gimmick to this. Is this a good carpet?" She said it was the best carpet they got.

    In November, we decided to pay half down. But I said, "You know, we got a lot of things going right now. We got Christmas coming up and New Year's and then we're gonna Mardi Gras ourselves. And so, you know, it has to be after all that." And they said, "Well, no worries about that. Just let us know when you wanna do it." We did it a month or two ago.

    This is when it gets a little difficult. There were two guys that came in. One spoke no English at all and the other one spoke poquito English. I don't speak Spanish. There was no communication there at all. What wasn't measured was a little closet just to put towels in. It's about 2-foot square. The guy raised trouble with it and said, "It's not on the map." I said, "I think you might have a little bit of extra carpet, put that in there," and they did. They had some carpet left over, which upset me because they took it. I paid for it, so why didn't I get it?

    We had moved everything off of the floor except for the furniture and that was a hard deal. They were in and out of here in for a couple of hours and we let them do their thing. We didn't get in their way. When they were getting ready to leave, I inspected it and everything and they weren't there. They have put the carpet in that little closet that we talked about. We were gonna actually save some of the old carpet to give to another person. But I couldn't communicate with the installers, so they just ripped it up and took it out in sections.

    They moved the furniture so they should have remembered where it was when they moved it. They didn't. Things were all off-centered or not in the right room. I had file cabinets in another room and I said, "You need to put those back in my office." They pushed them instead of carrying them. They pushed them from 30 feet on the brand-new carpet, which was stupid. While they pushed them like that, they put a dent in my file cabinets and that upset me a little bit. We had a brand-new Tempur-pedic bed and it's quite heavy. They moved it and it was off-centered. They really didn't wanna do it but they ended up doing it for us to get it centered again. They then cleaned up and left. I have filed a claim for the file cabinets that were dented and I took pictures of them. I need to call them back to find out exactly how I can send it to them.

    Empire should have had somebody there that could speak English so we could communicate with them. That aside, the carpet is wonderful. It's got a good pad underneath it and it's a beautiful carpet. Anybody that goes upstairs now either has to take off their shoes or was given these little boot covers to put on. We also had some people from Best Buy come to deliver a TV for us and they kept on telling us how cushiony the carpet was. We also had somebody from the air condition people and they even commented on how wonderful the carpet was.

    I've used Empire Today twice and I love the products. I love how it goes down. The only problem I have is there is a language barrier. Every time, I've had someone that speaks primarily Spanish, so it's hard for me to communicate what I wanna have done. This last time, they did the laundry room.     Horrible experience. Empire's flooring quote included services they couldn't perform, staircase; which was the only reason I selected them over a competitor. I was refunded my money. The flooring had gaps at the seams one month after installation. Repaired with glue. At the end of the one year warranty the company refused to close additional gaps in flooring.

    The fellow that came here talked a lot about Empire Today and showed us the samples. We were pleased with his showing of the flooring, and what he thought would make a good floor. Also, the installers did a good job. $186 of it was charged for a warranty of five years. Maybe the rep explained it, but I didn't catch it, that the warranty would be an extra cost, which I knew. But I didn't think we would be charged for it because I didn't agree to it. So, when I called the office and saw the papers that I was charged for it, they were very good about returning my money.     DO NOT HIRE EMPIRE TODAY FLOORING - Paid extra to have furniture moved, but I boxed whole house up and I did everything except put floor down. Workers came in, looked at flooring and refused to put floor down. First, they had problem with our kingsize bed, which is electric and has rollers. They were afraid to roll it, thinking they would tear it up and we would sue them. Then, they wanted us to hire RamJack to even up our settled home. (Probably gets a kickback from RamJack and were in the process of "Quietly Quitting".

    The 3 people blamed everything on salesman. Called salesman, which we had to pay 1/2 upfront when he booked us and demanded the rest when the 3 people came in to put down floor. (Which never happened). Long story short, the workers left within an hour. It will take days before we get our 1/2 payment back and now we are left with a home that is in disarray, having to find another company to put down our floor, and unreturned phone calls because everyone that works for Empire does not like each other and everyone is pointing fingers at each other. If you choose this company, you are in for a bad experience. You've been warned.

    Empire Today was fantastic right from the salesman who was not pushy. I called him 'cause he was also recommended by my niece. The experience was great. The guys who did the installation were super. They came and did the job in a day and a half. The job is fantastic. I had them come back and do the rest of my home. No complaints there either.     Years ago, I had carpeting put in both bedrooms by Empire Today. Then I had the carpet removed in one of the rooms to have flooring put in. The last project I had was I had flooring put in my bedroom. My sales representative, Darryl, was wonderful. He showed me all the samples. He took his time and didn't try to rush me. He followed up afterwards. The installer's name was Carlos. He was exceptional. He went the extra mile for me at the end when I had something put down underneath my furniture's legs so it wouldn't mess the floor up. He went out of his way to get that for me. I did referrals on both of them and let them know how happy I was with the salesman and the installer. The flooring is great. I like the color and the style. It is waterproof. I'm happy with my choice. Right now, I'm waiting for the extra pieces that Darryl's gonna be getting because they didn't leave any extra pieces in case of any problems. They're following up with me on that to get me some extra panels.

    Empire's rep, Max, was great and he gave me all the options as far as the financing was concerned. They give you one price for the whole thing but at the time, there were a lot of different factors on my end on the finance part. If the option they gave me was to do everything at once, I wouldn't have gone with them. Also, I picked one flooring then changed it, and Max came up to my work and showed me some other ones. Then I finally made the final decision and got the dark wood vinyl planks, which were installed in the master bedroom.

    The installers were on time. I wasn't and they waited for me to get there. They were very efficient and clean. It was raining that day, so I put a towel down on the front door and they brought in the flooring. When I opened my garage, there was a space that they had cut right thereBut they went with the Swiffer afterwards and cleaned my whole little foyer thing. They were very fast and and the installation took about four hours. They did everything that I thought of. I love the new flooring and I plan to do the whole house, but I'm doing it in stages which was was one of the options that Max had offered. For maintenance, one of the installers, Francisco, told me not to sweep or mop anything. He said that I've got to wipe the flooring, then I could use that Swiffer thing. But I haven't even done any of that. It looks great and nobody really goes in my room.

    Somebody with Empire Today came to the home to do an assessment. He gave me good information about the carpet. There was no coercion. Most of what was done, I was very happy with. I've also done business with Empire before, and they did excellent work.

    One thing was there was a little bit of communication gap with the installers ‘cause they didn't speak English well. I also noticed a couple of days after they had gone when I went to move the dresser that the leg was broken. This is an extremely expensive, nice set. I was disappointed so I called and got an incident number about that. There was also one or two spots where the carpet in the closet, they didn't push it the whole way up against the wall. There's a gap. But it's a 1,800 square feet of carpet. It was a big job. They were here from 8:30 in the morning until 10:30 at night. The carpet looks nice, especially when you vacuum it. But I got a notice from Empire that the wrong form in order to select if I wanted the 0% per year or 48-months at 11.9 had been used. I don't even know if they processed everything completely in the system so I gotta get that back to them.

    The first time I called Empire Today, I got an appointment and the reps never showed. So I called customer service but the rep could not get in touch with the salesmen. They made it for the week later and there was no problem since that point. I got laminate flooring installed in two rooms and it’s very pretty. The gentleman was very nice. He came with three other people and it was installed very nicely. My only problem is nobody knew exactly what I could use on the floors for cleaning, which is important. The customer service rep sent me a booklet but it didn't say what you needed to do on the laminate flooring. I would still recommend Empire. They are pricey but they're prompt, fit you in and do a good job.

    The installation was fine and the carpeting is good but we were misrepresented. The rep said there would be no payments or no interest for a year. We went through Wells Fargo, and now they're saying there's a monthly payment. I spoke to Empire Today and they claim that that's not on their end, that's on Wells Fargo's. I called Wells Fargo and they said, “No way do we do that. It's definitely Empire."

    We wanted a new carpet and we told them what we want. The rep brought in some stuff and we picked out the color we wanted right away. What he brought in was good because those were the colors we were looking for. Then, the installer was here a couple of days later and put it in. The installer did fabulous.

    The salesman just messed up a little bit on it because he told me it was $1,000. Then, when they called me for payment, it was 1,100. They called the salesman and they called me back a day or two later. They said they were going to credit me back $100 because it was their mistake. It was good that they honored it.

    I had hardwood flooring installed by Empire Today. The quality is very good. I was very pleased with the workmanship that the installers did. I was also pretty pleased with how fast they worked. In five hours, they were done. They were an excellent team and they all worked together. The sales team came twice. The first time, we picked out the wood. We wanted to match the wood we had on some other flooring. We didn't wanna do the whole floor that we ended up doing anyways, but the first time the installers were here, the gentleman said, "This is not gonna match with what you have over on that." So then, we called him up and said, "No, we canceled it." The same guy came out with the product to show. He put the thing on the floor so we could match it together.

    Empire Today did the flooring for our whole condo, including the great room and the bedroom, and it was good. My patio is perfect, but I'm not too sure about the flooring in here. We got laminate, and there are some places that feel like it's gonna break when you step on it. It's all right though. We're dealing with it.

    Empire Today completed our vinyl planking flooring project in the several rooms. We have been attempting to reach out to Empire to advise of concerns for the past 11 months without any success. Multiple messages have been left with claim reference numbers given with a promise for call back within 72 hours which has not happened. VERY disappointing that scheduling in-home sales call was timely. After the sales is confirmed and installation has been completed, Empire Today's customer service is something to be desired!

    We got laminate flooring for the living room, dining room, and spare bedroom. We went with Empire Today for the convenience. They move things (big furniture) out then they move it back in. I also didn't have to go looking, they came to me. When the guys came out to install, they had me sign some paperwork. They told me what they were gonna do, then they did their job. There were two of them and it took them about four hours. The quality of the work is good, and the new laminate flooring makes the whole room look better. Even the salesman that came out was really very good.
