    Initially, I was not very happy with my experience with Empire Today. The installers came in, started with tearing up the flooring, only to stop and called back to whomever their supervisor was. They didn't have the right selection that had been made. Additionally, they did not have enough product to do the entire project. They only brought enough product to do one small room. Their supervisor called me and said, "We have a problem. We have ceramic tiling in your house. We have to charge you an additional fee for removal of the tile and the backing board.” I told him the salesman knew that I had ceramic tile and backer board in the house that I wanted to have removed. That was one of the reasons I was replacing it with the wood flooring. The installers came in and started tearing up the floor before even addressing that that might be a problem for them.

    Empire Today did a good job with resolving that situation where they owned up to their mistake of getting started and them tearing up, damaging my flooring then turning around and saying, "We've already started. We'll go ahead and do this and it won't be any additional charges to you." After having to make several calls back and forth, they offered me a comparable alternative that was better in choice. Once that was able to be delivered and the installers were able to get going, it went smoothly.

    I expected more from a top-notch company that's been around for decades, but I wanna give big kudos and props to Sergio and his team for the quality that they put in with installing the floor. Despite any shortcomings that were experienced with the project, they did a fantastic job. I give them high praises for the craftsmanship and attention to detail that they had with getting the floor installed and figuring out small challenges here and there with making it look right. There were days lost initially to the project because of people not paying attention but they got it done by the time that was promised. I'm very happy. I only have one minor problem that I noticed last night. When they reinstalled the kitchen baseboards back after the flooring was done, there's this big section of the baseboarding that I don't think they got it installed right because it's starting to fall off the wall.

    The installers from Empire weren't tarrying. They came in here and they got the job done and they got out of here in less than eight hours. I was impressed, but I'm seeing some flaws that I need them to come back. It looks like some of the tiles are lifting. They scheduled to come in on Monday to look over what I have a concern about. Other than that, the quality is very good because it's breathtaking. It's rich. It's like a whole new thing. Every time I walk in the door, I feel the floor. It makes my whole house feel like a home. I'm really satisfied with the tile that I was able to pick out. The price is good, too. I've already recommended Empire to other people. Everybody loves the floor when they come in and they wanna know who did it and where I got it from. As far as I'm concerned, I would recommend Empire to anybody.

    Empire Today's flooring is expensive. But if you want it done quickly and easily, Empire Today is the way to go. The rep was knowledgeable. This luxury vinyl plank is the newest and greatest. It's what everybody gets today and that's what I wanted. When the Empire people arrived, I was prepared for them. They came in like a whirlwind and got right to work. They moved quickly. But it was a big job. It was a lot of work and I stayed out of their way. I didn't talk to the main worker guy until the last day, and I got to know him a bit and he was a nice guy. Their work looks fantastic. I get compliments on it all the time.

    We had luxury vinyl plank from Empire Today installed in two guest rooms. The only other company I was gonna go through was Lowe's because they had done all my other flooring, but I had a personal situation come up. I needed it done quickly, and Empire was out very fast and was able to get the job scheduled quickly. I've been wanting to do this job for years. So, I did a lot of research. I had planned to go with a high-end laminate, which is what I had done on a lot of my flooring but because of some travels that I had done, and visiting new homes with friends and commercial properties, I recognized that the vinyl plank was the thing to do. I have animals. So, I already knew the product I wanted.

    As far as colors go, I already had a good idea. So, I didn't feel overwhelmed but the sales guy was knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction. He confirmed what I had already planned to go with. The installation was done in about two days. Jose went above and beyond. He was unbelievable. I can't speak highly enough of him. I was very satisfied.

    Empire Today's rep went over everything and there was no problem. When the installer came, we ran into one little problem. I had to take care of it. But they had no problem coming back after it was dealt with, and the installation went smoothly. There was only one person and he did an excellent job. The flooring is a one-piece vinyl, but it looks like a wood plank. It looks very nice. As far as cleaning-wise, it's a vinyl floor. So, I would just use a damp mop. And as long as I keep up with its maintenance, it should last forever.

    Avoid at all costs! They say their costs will not be beaten, but, when we told the sales rep we had a local competitor's price and the sales rep "met the price", the installers came in, and after ripping up some of the carpeting, told us it would cost an extra $1200 to proceed (the same amount the sales rep had to "fight for" with his boss to meet our competitor's price!) We had picked out some wonderful flooring options and we kept being pointed to a similar specific flooring that was the "cheapest" and "best value" and was "going to look great in the house". Well, it doesn't! Did we end up paying the extra $1200. No, but we did pay $1000 after some extremely manipulative tactics used by the installers after they had most of the flooring ripped out.

    Avoid this flooring company and DO NOT listen to the sales rep. The initial quote is the cost, and if you don't like it, tell them to leave. Better yet, NEVER invite them in! In addition, the flooring was cut short in the kitchen and there is a noticeable gap between the floor and stairs banister AND even though we remained on the property for the entire install, the installers did not request help to disconnect our RO water filtration system, which the installers disconnected and reconnected incorrectly causing the system to malfunction and leak on the (brand new) kitchen floor. Never, ever again!

    We had Empire install laminate flooring on every part of our floor in several rooms. We have a three-bedroom home, and it included kitchen, bathroom and several closets. So, it was a lot. It took the people who came in two days to do the job. There were about five of them. I love them. They were great. They were very clean and they got the job done as well. They came in on the fly and said, “Okay. We realize you have dips here, dips there. And we're going to prop stuff up here. We’re going to cut it off here and go a different direction.”

    They came in and did what they needed to do. They made it beautiful, and they always asked before they did anything but I felt very comfortable going with their suggestion. We have wood surrounding the house. They popped them all off and put them all back on exactly the way they were. Our new flooring lights up the presence of our home. We're in an area where we have a lot of trees, so it caused shadow. So, this new flooring really lights up the house. So, it's beautiful. As far as care instructions, they gave us a packet, and there was a link that we could go through.

    We got vinyl plank flooring from Empire Today on our entire 800-square-foot house. It is a park model RV with an Arizona Room, and nobody wanted to work on it except for Empire. The salesperson was fine. We knew what we wanted. He just brought a few samples and we said, “Yeah. That's the one right there.” We were getting ready to sell the place, so we wanted it to look good. When the guys came in to do the installation, they had to move a sleeper sofa, chair, dining room, table and chairs, washer, dryer, and a really heavy bed. They moved mirrors, mirror doors, and closet doors. They did all kinds of stuff, and they did a great job. I'd recommend Empire to anybody.

    Empire Today gave an estimate and the one thing I didn’t like about them is they always start high and you have to negotiate them down. They came down to the price that they should have but they started $1,500 higher. I already knew that so it was all right. They do a great job. We had the hardwood floors installed in three rooms and the installation went perfectly. The installers were there when they said they were gonna be there. They showed up about 9 o'clock and worked most of the day and got it all done.

    The rep from Empire who did the presentation, John, was very honest and open. He was able to save us time by assessing what we really needed and wanted and not trying to talk us into more than we wanted or things that are expensive. He showed us like the low end, the high end, the middle end and tried to show us what we're gonna want and not want. We made our own decisions but he really made it easy to do so. He did a really good job and the cool thing he did was he was able to give us that warranty in a way that didn't seem like it was over the top. It seemed like it was a really good deal and I liked the way he did that.

    The only drawback on the installation is they had indicated that it would take all day because it would be hard to get all of the carpet off the stairs. We were taking care of stuff before bed and in the morning, and I was ready but they were not early. Then, they didn't realize there was a second set of stairs. They thought they were done and they weren't so they stayed longer. They worked really hard and long, though, and I feel bad because they live far away. There was a little bit of a communication breakdown somewhere in there that we thought they were gonna be early and the crew thought they had a shorter job. Other than that, I would tell others to go with Empire because they did a really good job. We're really happy to have the carpet.

    My salesman specifically told me to look for the name of the floor covering that we were supposed to have installed on the box before they installed it. The name on the box was not there. There were numbers there, which tells me nothing. And I could not get ahold of my salesman before they started the installation. And they would not start the installation until I paid for it so I’m not sure if what I have installed is what I picked out or not. As far as the carpet goes the installer was very professional, very efficient, did a great job. But again I’m not sure it’s the same color as I want it, I would not recommend Empire to anyone.

    I'm happy with the job Empire Today did on all my carpet upstairs. I've never had anybody change my carpet because I bought the house new and this was the first time I used somebody to come and install carpet. The installers were on time, and they did a good job. Initially, I wasn't there, but my son was. They were there from 8:00 in the morning, and they took care of everything. When I came home, they were still working on it, then they finished and I checked. The carpet looks really good, and I like it.     Empire Today dealt with the purchase, install, baseboards, and carpet. They organized it all and I didn't have to get multiple people. They had good options, and the guy who came out and did the estimate was easy to work with. He even helped us get it discounted to get a nicer carpet. Also, both installation teams who came out were fantastic.

    The two guys that came for the carpet drove down from Aurora and they went the extra mile. They picked up the old carpet really quickly and even offered to put down an anti-smell spray for us in addition to what we had already purchased since the carpets had been ruined by a cat and previous stuff. I'm pregnant and I can't be around chemicals. And one of the areas of the carpeting had molding on the walls, so they said if I bought the mold cleaner, they would spray it and wipe it for me. They were there until 8:00 at night getting everything done. They even had to take the old carpet and put it on top of their van because it smelled so bad. The baseboards were done the next day and the guy who came out for that did the work in just one day. The flooring was put in the entire home and everything looks great. We'd use them again.

    I went with Empire, and the sales rep was so knowledgeable. He was great. Also, the installers came on time and got to work. There were two people, and they worked and worked. It was incredible. They were done in two hours at the most, and I was very pleased. I had a carpet replaced in my bedroom, then the hallway outside of the bedroom, and the steps going up to the bedroom.

    My mom's 98 and I don't think we're gonna be in this house much longer, so I got the lower grade carpeting. I didn't want a carpet that's gonna be the best quality, but my mom thought I should have gotten the middle grade. Besides that, the price and the work quality were good. There are a couple of things when I walk up the steps that may stick out that hurt my feet, like a couple of staples, but I'm just gonna get a hammer and hammer them down when I have time.

The lady tried saying my floors were uneven and it's my fault because I moved my couch. The couch was moved due to new furniture which has nothing to do with the floors being cut short or wrong.

    2 years after installing brand new flooring our entire floors need replacement due to poor installation and product as determined by the Empire team. Empire is charging us $1000's to fix their errors. We started calling at the 1 year mark with issues. It took just under 3 months for someone to actually come to our home to look at our floors after so many excuses. At that point the installer "fixed" the issue by gluing and nailing floor boards down that were coming up.

    A year after the "repair" we have had nothing but issues as our floors have gotten progressively worse as there are HUGE gaps where floor boards are breaking apart. When we called again they sent out the original installer (red flag). He checked our house for moisture and found none. He apologized profusely and said we would need all new floors due to faulty product (no admission of poor installation) and even took measurements. He went as far to ask what color quarter round we wanted.

    However, the next day when we heard back from Empire, he reported to the management team that we have a dog that (he included a picture of him in his report) urinates in our home causing the floors to break. That is completely false as our dog is 12lbs and completely trained, not to mention the fact that even if that was true, the floors are supposed to be waterproof! It is clear that he did not want to be responsible for replacing the floors as he would go unpaid and/or paid less. Upon management reviewing his report against the pictures (there was absolutely no moisture indicated) they determined something was not adding up and sent a 2nd installer to check our floors.

    The 2nd installer also determined we would need our floors replaced. This was due to both poor product AND incorrect installation. The original installers did not put any transitions in our flooring causing the floors to shift too much. This issue coupled with the installer who "repaired" the floor boards with glue and nails caused more damage because the floor boards are shifting around the "stuck" floor boards and now the floor boards are not only coming up, but also cracking and the joints are breaking off and that is what is causing the huge gaps. We are being told that even though the flooring has a 25 year guarantee that we are out of the 1-year installation warranty and need to pay $1000's for Empire's mistakes. This has been ongoing for several months now. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Check the BBB site.

    Initial install was bad. They came back to fix it. Their fix made it worse. They lied and misinformed us every chance they could so they didn’t have to honor the warranty. Only fixed it after threat of lawsuit and paying $900 for real flooring professionals to come and inspect. Will never use again.

    We looked at a couple of local guys but Empire's deal was better and the guy was ready to do it the next day. So, it worked out real nice. He was nice and showed us all the products. He even compared his product to a couple of the ones that other guys were trying to sell us. So that helped us to see the differences between them. He was very informative. He asked if we were able to do it the next day, because he had a crew available. We said, sure and sure enough, they came next day. I had a flooring installed in my kitchen. It's waterproof. It looks like wood. Empire Today did the whole kitchen. They were fast, competitive, and on time.

    We had a white with a really pale pink or mauve in the tile and this floor shows nothing. The floor could be absolutely dirty and you wouldn't know it until you cleaned it. So we love the fact that it doesn't show every little speck of everything. Also, it's quieter because it's got a little padding underneath it. I noticed that when we walk on it, we have a better grip on it.

    After it was completely installed, we had a little bit of a problem. There were some molding that they did that came up. I made a phone call and two days later, a guy came back and totally did it all over again. There was no hassle. The second time he did it, he even said, "Yeah, I guess the way I did that the first time probably wasn't the right way." So, he did it a different way and he said it should be better, and it totally has been. I haven't had any problem with it since he did that. So I like the fact that they came back out right away to fix it.

    We had new carpet put in the bedrooms, and the closets within them, and the hallway upstairs. When the individual came out to show us samples and everything like that. He really did everything that he could to try and get us the best price. They were very communicative. They did a pretty decent job.     We had floors installed in our living room and dining room. The guy that initially came was excellent. He brought samples. He explained everything to us and helped us get through the financing. But the installers didn't do such an excellent job. Empire Today had to have people come back twice to repair what they didn't do. They didn't install the transitions from one room to the next properly. Then there was one area of the floor that they were supposed to build up to make the floor level but they didn't do it.

    They had to take that area up and level the floor, and then they were supposed to come back the same day and finish the job, but they didn't come back until the next day. They took the vinyl up that they initially installed, they leveled the floor with some cement, and they left and said that when it dries, they'll be back later on that day. But they didn't come back that day. I had to call the technician that came and told him that we were waiting for them to come back. He said, "Oh, no, we'll be back tomorrow."

    I had rug and vinyl floors installed by Empire Today. I had Empire in a previous house. I was new to the state, and I really didn't know many people. I trusted the name brand by using them in the past. The cost is a little up there. I was a little disappointed in the cost because back in the day, the prices weren't as bad. But I understand that prices went up, and I wasn't in the mood to shop around.

    I love the vinyl. I did a white wash that looks absolutely beautiful in the house. It's very sturdy and exactly what I needed for the playroom and all around the house. The crew that took care of everything was amazing. When the truck pulled up, there were three boxes of the wrong color. They fixed that problem immediately.     I was getting rid of the carpet in my home and the rep from Empire came out and gave me an estimate. He was out here in three days after I found them on the internet and the product that I chose online was exactly what he showed me when he brought me out samples. Also, he encouraged me to look at several different brands, not just pick out by color, but to look at several different brands within their website. They didn't try to sway me one way or another.

    But I didn't commit and he asked if he should come back in a week. I munched it over, talked to my kids about it, and got their feedback. He came back exactly one week later and two days later, I had people here putting my floor down. I had vinyl floors installed in the kitchen, living room, dining room, and two bathrooms and they were right on it. If I had any questions, they stopped what they were doing and they answered my questions. It was a good team. They worked very well together and for all those rooms, they were in and out of here in two days. The only thing was the price came higher than I was expecting. But it was understandable and I had to add some subflooring, which I did not expect. I spent more on the project than I really wanted to but it was a very good experience and I love my new floors. I get a lot of compliments on them. I would definitely recommend Empire. It might be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

    We had Empire Today’s top-of-the-line flooring and when it came in, there was a defect in it. So, they ordered new flooring to replace the defective plank. When the original crew that installed the first time came back, they were mad that they had to rip up the floor. We finally got them to put it back in and it's fine now. But the men put a nick in the bottom of our kitchen cabinet, which we just had the kitchen redone last year. And now, I got a hammer mark on it. When you have a customer who buys the top-of-the-line and it has a manufacturing defect, never send the original crew back out. Because that guy was so mad he had to redo that floor and take the defective pieces out. I had to oversee a lot more because the guy was mad. Otherwise, we love the flooring. We love the quality and the flooring looks beautiful.

    One of the managers said they think they will not carry that floor anymore because they were disappointed in all the defects. When the installers pulled the flooring out, they should have looked at the pieces and when they saw the defect, they should not have installed it. I wish they would have mixed it up a little better. Because it's light and then it's dark, and then there are other light places and then there are other dark places. I would have said something to the installers. But you can't talk to them. They spoke in Spanish. The supervisor spoke English but he was so mad he had to redo that flooring and take it all out that he did not speak any English to us the day it was installed.

The quality of the laminate flooring is good but they need to get better installers. With the corners, nothing was really fortified. They just brought up ends together and they left joints open. If I had a really expensive home, I would not pick Empire to do it.

    The installers were good and professional. They got to the house at about 10:00 in the morning and they were gone at 6:00 that evening. I couldn't believe they got it all done in one day. Also, they moved furniture and put it back for me. But I ordered so much, there were two different bolts and when they finished one bolt, they went to another and it was slightly different. The carpets didn't match. They had all the bedrooms done and they went through the hallway and noticed that the carpets aren't the same. They said they could rip all it up and come back in a couple of days and reorder but I couldn't do that. The house was already torn up -- every room was empty and we had put stuff everywhere.     I like the payment plans with Empire Today. Other providers didn't give me the amount of time I needed to pay the flooring off. But the rep should have given me more options. I was telling him I have a high-traffic in my kitchen area. He could have given me something that was more durable than vinyl. Since it's a high-traffic area, I had problems with the floating floor. It came up. They recently redid it.

    The installer who Empire hired told me he could glue it down and it would probably be better. He gave Empire the information. Empire called me and told me that it's not a glue down type of material. If I wanted a glue down type of material, they had to send another representative over here and I would have to pick out something else then either add to the installation or deduct, depending on what I picked out for that situation. I didn't wanna go through it. It was around Christmas time and I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. Also, the sales person was rude. When she called me, I was on the side of the road. I was talking loudly and she was telling me, "I'm gonna hang up on you if you're talking loud." She put a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't like that. I told her, "I'm on a highway. I pulled over on the side of the road to talk to you. I'm not talking loud because I'm angry. I'm talking loud because I'm going along with the sound around me." She was threatening to hang up on me.

    But when the installer came, he glued it down. I hope that's not gonna void my warranty. The flooring feels much better. Every time we used to walk on it, we could hear. You would hear little crackles in there because it's a floating floor. Also, they had to change all the moldings because when they put the nails in, they were supposed to be professional. I paid $14,000 for my flooring which is a lot of money. But they didn't cover up the nail holes. When they came back to fix the floor that came up, they redid the whole thing. They put new moldings down. They refilled the holes so I don't see all the nail holes for the moldings around the walls. The initial layout was not that good but they did better the second time around.

    We bought new flooring from Empire Today, and we had it installed in our hallway, foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. The gentleman who came over was really good. He was really informative. He wasn't pushing anything on us. We went from tile to this new regular flooring, and he was in-depth and explained the difference between all of them. The installation was great. The guys came over and they introduced themselves, and I asked them to come in. They looked around and explained which way the floor was gonna be going and that they would move whatever furniture needed to be moved. They explained how they were gonna be doing the work and where they were gonna start. They were very courteous and very detailed in telling me when they were moving from one room to the other, even though we have an open floor plan.

    I would recommend Empire because of the representative that came over, and then what followed with the installation crew that came. Those guys were fantastic and very professional. They kept me updated every two hours. I was here at home, and I let them do their work. I would come out every two hours and they would tell me where they were at. The quality of the work was outstanding. This new flooring is good. It is pet-friendly but it isn't the tile. The floor tile chipped, and we went with this because the representative explained to us that it was made out of limestone, so it didn't chip. It is flexible enough to where if the house shifted, it isn't gonna be cracking while regular floor tile would. Also, it just needs regular mopping and didn't have to be a soaking wet mopping.

    I had pre-measured the flooring prior to the salesman coming over. He measured the amount of square footage I needed and it was incorrect. I told him so but he insisted it was correct. I ordered anyway and left it up to them to gather the correct amount. The floor guys came and started the project only to find out that they were 26 square feet short. Also, the there wasn't any transitions ordered. The installers had to leave and find the extra missing flooring and find the correct color transition pieces. The installers did a great job considering the problems. The salespeople need to be better experienced in how to measure the square footage needed.

    The sales rep was very nice, but I didn't like that he didn't explain about there being a certain charge. It was a service agreement, and I called the company, then the sales rep returned my call. He admitted that he didn't talk to me about the charge. I didn't see it on there ‘cause I didn't think that that was something that would be on there. I had the charge removed, and it was fine.

    I had some vinyl flooring installed in our laundry room, and installation was good. The only thing is either the initial measurement wasn't right or the calculations of how many boxes of tiles based on the measurement was wrong. The installers were coming from Illinois and they ended up having to come back a second day because they didn't have enough material. Besides that, we're very pleased with the quality of the work, and I was very pleased with the overall quality of the flooring as well. The thing I was blown away about was the trim work. I thought it was really neat that they put a matching trim piece between our carpet in the hall and the flooring in the laundry room. I really liked that a lot. All in all, I highly recommend Empire Today and the quality and the pricing is very competitive.

    I remember the commercials being it could be done quickly. That was 20 years ago. If Empire Today was still around and advertising after all this time, I figured I'd give them a call first. The guy came out and was very knowledgeable. He was able to get a discount on a couple of the items to make it affordable to do the whole project within the budget I had. I had carpet put in on the stairs, two sets of stairs. And in two bedrooms, I had laminate. But it was the wood style. Everything happened easily and quickly. And the professionals that came out did a great job.

    The only mixup was when I signed and made my appointment for the floors to go in for the laminate, it was scheduled for Monday. But Monday morning, it was canceled by the installer. I had already taken a day off from work. So, that was inconvenient. But everything else went smoothly. So, it was probably they didn't have the material they needed and nobody could communicate that.     Empire Today had the exact material that we needed to match what we had. And the other company did not have the same style and color. That's why we went with Empire. The prices were similar. I purchased a hardwood floor and they were installed in the two bedrooms and a large closet. We had a hiccup the first time. The installers came in, told us the subfloor was not properly level. We had a potential idea but that would not be the case because of the older house. I thought the installers also worked on the subfloors and could potentially just fix it or give us more ideas, but they said they were not allowed. So, that delayed everything for another week.

    I had to find a contractor to fix the subfloor, level everything out. When looking for a subcontractor in a very crunch time, they probably charge a bit more than what they have to. They knew I was in a pinch so they might have taken slight advantage. It was more cost out of my pocket than what we expected because we had to fix that.

    When they came the second time, it was a different team and they were very professional. They had the vision of what we wanted to accomplish, and were able to present us with those options and complete the job the way we wanted to from the get-go. So, we were very pleased with the second team. The second team seemed very knowledgeable. We were very impressed and thankful we got that second team.

    The installation took two weeks from the day one we met. The representative came on a Thursday, and we had an appointment for that Monday. We thought, "Okay, everything should go smooth, should be good to go." But we had the hiccup and I couldn't find contractors. They said, "I don't have the time" or "I don't have any openings till next month." Some gave me a month later date. But we couldn't wait a whole month because we were in the process of moving to the new home. I was frustrated with that delay because I had to spend more money and thought the installers had a better idea of different options to level that. I wish they were able to do more for us and not delay the whole installation.

    When the flooring was installed, the first team told me, "It should take us a couple of days." The second team took almost three and a half days, but they did it to what the standard should be. We had to wait for the seal, and they had to come in and put the floor. They had to be very fine with the cutting to match the other floor that was already there. They took their time and were very detailed. That's why we were very pleased with them.

    I like that the sales came out to the house and I didn’t have to go anywhere. I originally bought carpeting and vinyl flooring for my bathroom to replace some damaged carpet and bathroom floor but I only had the carpeting done. They wouldn't do the rest of the flooring because when the installers came out, they had a concern for possible asbestos and I was told that Empire doesn't put flooring down over asbestos. The only disappointing part was I wasn't told until the actual flooring installers came out. That was something that I would have liked to have known ahead of time.

    I had wooden floors done by Empire Today in my living room and my kitchen and one of my bathroom on the bottom floor. When they said they were coming, I thought there were gonna be two guys. It was only one guy that showed up. He didn't do such a great job. He was here from 9:00 to 6:00. He started right here between my mom's room and the little pantry I have. He only did a little piece and that was it. He was there all that time. I feel that someone knows what they're doing wouldn't take that long. I don't think he knew what he was doing.

    The sales rep as well as the installers were good. I had vinyl plank flooring put in the steps in the living room, the dining room and the hall. We have a split level, and the installers did it while we were downstairs. There was a little confusion because the representative said that they'd come back on Monday and we had plans on Sunday. It was a Saturday when he first came, and the guy who was doing the floors said he didn't know anything about coming back on Monday. He said he had to come back the next day to finish it, which they did. They worked about 10 hours and got it done the next day, which was fine.

    We got vinyl tiles for our family room from Empire Today. The quality was a little better but the cost was more expensive as well. However, because we already had another quote from another company and we weren't 100% happy with them, Empire Today matched matched the price. That made us feel really good. Install day was great too. It was a team of three gentlemen, and they were very professional and personable. While other people have their bad days and don't seem happy with the work that they do (even when they're professional and doing the job), the crew that came out was so happy. I got that feeling that they enjoyed what they did. They got here right when they were supposed to, and they knew what they were doing. It was a very positive experience all the way around.

    There was somebody who was in charge, but I could tell that the team worked together really well because everybody seemed to know what their part was. It was very well coordinated. They took out the padding that was in the carpeting before, then they had the flooring in and were done in a little over two hours. They did an excellent job. There's no question about it. We were incredibly happy with our experience. Also, when the sales person was here, he talked to us about what we needed to do to keep the vinyl tile flooring clean and safe. We talked about how heavy-duty and durable it would be as well, and we've had no problems with taking care of it.

    The installer had to add a piece about 4ft. wide since the roll of carpet is only 12 feet wide. I can see exactly where it is seamed together and I think it is turned the opposite direction, so it appears to be lighter than the 12 foot wide carpet is in the room. I complained to Empire and sent photos. They sent the same install back and of course they thought it was fine. Clipped the seam and heated it, but it is still the same.

    I had laminate floors installed in my home. Working with the rep was nice. I was told it would be a one-day job. But the installers came out on the original day and didn't have all of the equipment needed. There was a piece the tech was missing that connects the stairs to the hallway. Also, the floor wasn't leveled underneath so he needed something to get that done. So, it ended up being a three-day job. Also, the rep told me I wouldn't have to move anything. But when the installers got there, I ended up moving more than what I was expected to. Luckily, they didn't start the original day, so I had a little time to get things moved.

    Empire Today had comparable products and they were competitively priced. The salesperson met me and was very professional and helpful. She and her boss on the phone worked up a competitive offer right there at my property when I was there. We decided to move forward with them. I bought a carpet for my rental. It's a decent product for what I paid for and it looks nice. Empire did a very good job with the installation.

    There was only one challenge I had. They told me that the installer was gonna come out on a certain date and he did. But I had asked them to come out early and they wound up putting me at the very end and I was there until late in the evening. I understand how that stuff works and it was the luck of the draw.     So firstly we had our kitchen and living room floored with “luxury vinyl plank” and our stairs re-carpeted. The first mistake they made was they did something to the fridge to short the compressor when moving it. We didn’t notice till the ice maker leaked on the new floors a couple of days later. (I work 12s, get home, sleep, go back to work.) Anyways we tried calling repeatedly. Customer service would give us this number and nobody would answer or call back so I said ok and started calling around to have it looked at at. 150 bucks just to come out. It didn’t seem like a good idea so I said you know what? I just spent 9200 bucks on a floor. What’s another grand and bought a new one.

    The next day I finally got ahold of someone who gave me a claim number and someone to contact. Well I couldn’t get ahold of her (Mandy C.) for days and when I did she was nothing but rude and unhelpful. They refuse to help at all unless I have the old one looked at and they have a detailed breakdown of what’s wrong and how it happened. How exactly does a repairman know how they blew the compressor? Does he have a Time Machine? Anyways it gets hauled away today and I’m not keeping it around just for a repair guy to say well it’s broken for a 150 bucks and have these fools tell me they aren’t going to help me anyways. She said if it’s over 500 dollars then they pay for a new one. Well 150 plus the 400 that a compressor costs is over it already so why make me jump through hoops and keep a broken fridge in my house if you know that?

    The other issue is with the floor itself. I live in an 80 year old farmhouse so the floors weren’t exactly level so I paid more to have them leveled out. Well lo and behold they are better but still not level in some spots. Why did I pay more for leveling if they were going to just do it halfway? I am extremely disappointed in their work. Also they refuse to provide with a detailed breakdown of cost because I want to be reimbursed for the leveling and be done with this company. I don’t want them coming to my house to “fix” it and screwing something else up. The whole this is very fishy.

However, we called the salesman the day after with some questions that we had prior to the installation. And he didn't return our phone calls until after the installation. He said he was on a skiing trip and he wasn't able to call us back. But the two guys that came out to install the carpets were excellent. They were incredibly good.     Had new LVP flooring installed last year. A few weeks later, noticed buckling of many of the tiles. It also made cracking noise when walking on it. Soon after, noticed the seams were cracking and separating. The rest of the floor felt like it had air pockets under and became very spongy when walked on. After weeks of communications, Empire agreed to reinstall my flooring in 08/22. They said it was most likely caused by slab moisture and not having a barrier coat applied. I was never informed about a barrier coat during the sales process but agreed to pay for it. I do not believe there was any moisture but was happy to get the floor fixed/replaced. The 2nd installed was very messy. Minimal masking and the house was covered in dust. The 2nd install team said the flooring wasn't properly leveled and installed. They acted like all their work would fix the problems. They finished at 9:30pm on a Friday.

    I noticed the next day the floor had residue from something the installers tracked everywhere. It wouldn't clean and noticed other flaws. A week later, the floor began to buckle again and gets worse every week. Now battling Empire Customer Service for weeks. They say it's a manufacturing issue with the tiles and awaiting a response from the factory. Customer service has stopped returning emails and phone messages. I'm extremely frustrated with Empire. Just want the floor I paid for ($11K) or my money back. The flooring looks horrible and needs to be replaced. I'm so disappointed with Empire.

    We wanted to match the floor upstairs with the downstairs and Empire Today did the master bedroom, my loft, stairs and hallway. The installation team was fantastic and did a great job. The four guys were awesome. We're happy with the new flooring but Empire Today could improve on the connectivity, getting ahold of these people. Once you make the deal, you never hear from them again. The sales rep was great the day of but after the sale was made, the guy was a ghost. I wanted to talk to him because I had questions during the installation and I got additional work I wanted him to do and I wanna give the guy who did a good job more business. But I never got ahold of the guy.

    The quality of the product, the installation and the salesman during the sales process was fine. It's just afterward. There was no phone call to see if I thought it was good.     This company did not do what they promised. Before the consultant even arrived, I asked if our stairwell floor could be done along with several rooms upstairs and downstairs. When the consultant came, she took a photo of the current stairwell, and confirmed with her boss they could replace the carpet with laminate flooring to match the other rooms. I didn’t get the consultant’s name because instead of a business card she gave me a flyer for another business, “Sharese Studio.” We signed a contract for over $30K that included several rooms and the stairwell. We asked our consultant who to call if there were install issues, and she said she would be available. When the subcontractor arrived, he immediately stated the stairwell could not be done and that this type of work would never be done by Empire.

    We called our consultant and she said she would call her boss. She never answered us. We received a discount of less than $2K for the labor and materials not provided in the stairwell. However, I still have a stairwell with nasty old carpet ripping away from the sides, and they did not do what they promised. We made the decision to hire them after being promised the whole job could be done, and we wanted our floors and stairs to match. Now the job is piecemeal and we will never be able to get the stairs and floors to match. That said, the subcontractors did nice looking work on the part they were able to do, were polite, and worked very quickly.

    I had molding in my kitchen, and I asked the guy that came out to do the floor if he would be able to put the molding back. I also discussed that with the guy that came out to talk to me about Empire Today. He said that the guy would be able to put the molding back okay, but come to find out he was unable to do it. So on one side of my kitchen, he put the molding back. But it looked like it was pasted back together.

    Underneath my dishwasher, he left space where if you would walk into my kitchen, it looks like it's a hole right there. He came back and fixed that. The transition part that goes across my den and my kitchen does not match up to the pattern that's on my floor. I asked him if he could he get a wider transition there, and he said, “No, Empire only comes with that one standard transition for it to go there.” So, that looks crazy because you would see the pattern of the floor and the transition part, but you could still see the pattern of the floor. The installer said that he could take that up, but he would have to pull my carpet. And when I closed my door to my den, the carpet would show, and I said, “No, I don't want that.”

    Empire Today gave me no warranty. Before they left, they gave me no instructions on how to care for the floor, so I had to call them about that. When I called the lady to explain to her that I wasn't satisfied with the work that was done, she gave me all kinds of excuses. So, I got upset with her and hung up the phone because I didn't wanna say something that wasn't nice.

    My floor popped. They didn't explain to me that that might happen before they did it. Had they explained it to me, I would have asked them to just take up the flooring that was on here in the beginning. It might have cost me more, but I'd rather for it to be done right. The rep said, “No, it'll be fine. They're just gonna lay it over the floor you have now.” So I said, “Okay.” When they did that, it caused my floor to pop like there's air underneath here. So, my floor pops and clicks. The floors are beautiful, but they're not right. They weren't able to put the pattern in under the molding, so they had to use their strip to go across, which looks okay, but I liked my molding.

    They said they would be able to do it. But when they put the floor down and I asked him, he said he couldn't put it underneath the molding, but he might have been able to make the lengthwise where it would look like it was underneath the molding. But he wasn't able to do that. I was told that he would be able to do it, so that was a disappointment.

    When the guy came out the second time, he did it right. He had to take up part of the pattern and pushed it back further, so when you walk into my kitchen now, you wouldn't see that hole on both sides that was underneath my dishwasher. I called because I was gonna say Empire Today need to give me a discount. I spent $2,200 on these floors. And I wasn't told that the floor might squeak or pop.

    Empire Today did some work on my living room and did one-half of my house a number of years back. I called them back to do the other half of my house and this was done a couple of months ago. The rep who came out had good customer skills and did a good job in explaining everything. The installers came out early in the morning and finished at about 7:00 at night. I love the flooring. It’s very easy to take care of. I was using the cleaner that Empire recommended on the other floor that I had put in. But that did not work for me. It caused imprints all over my floor when my grandchildren came over. But they're older now and don't do that. Anyhow, I just use plain vinegar and water, and it makes it shine and cleans it.

    When Empire Today was running a special, I bought carpet from them. Their rep, Donte, helped me with my purchase and he was phenomenal. He was well knowledgeable of the products and he answered every question I had on things that I wasn't sure of. He brought in four different samples to choose from and he had the little binder with several different carpets along with the padding. So, everything was at my fingertips.

    For the installation, the guy who was leading the group that came to install took an assessment and went back out. Then they came back in and did what they had to do. The guys moved the furniture, pulled the old carpet back, removed it, and installed the new one. Then they had me check to make sure the carpet was done properly. I walked on the carpet and they put my furniture back. Everything was done timely and professionally. After they completed the job, they cleaned up behind themselves, so I really didn't have to do too much of anything when they left. My new carpet is nice and when the installers left, I felt like I made a good decision. I still feel good about it and it's been a year.

    We had carpet put on the steps to the downstairs area, and the whole downstairs, the carpet was taken out and the manufactured hardwood was put in. The quality of the work is very good, but it took four days before installation was totally completed. There was a box of bad wood, so we had to wait a day for one box. Overall, I would highly recommend Empire Today for the product and the install, but be prepared to clean. Other places do cleanup, but they don't do any cleanup at all. All they did was pick up their scraps and run a broom over some of their stuff, which left nothing but dirt. It took a while to clean all that up.

    I ordered the same floor for both of the bathroom and the kitchen. When the installer left, it was fine. A few days later, I could see spots coming out like the glue from the flooring coming through on both floors, and every day, it got worse. It was one guy that did the whole thing and he did great. He raced around. Maybe that's what it was. He put the glue on wrong, but it looked like the glue came to the surface. So, I called Empire Today and told the guy, and he made me feel like a fool. He said, "That's the way it's supposed to look." I know it's not the way it's supposed to look. There's nothing I can do about it. It's already in and that's it. He was very rude. So, I didn't know what to do. I got mad and I told him I wouldn't pay for it. But I paid the first payment because my credit is good and I don't wanna ruin it by messing up. So, I'm very disappointed with the floor. Every time I go in the kitchen, I get so agitated because it's ugly. Don't do it.

    When Empire Today sent the team into the home for the installation, none of them could speak English. I had a very hard time communicating with anybody. I asked questions and couldn't understand the answers. They are very hard workers, but it's not fair to the consumer. The sales rep was very helpful but when I called him back, I was not happy. He didn't seem too concerned when I told him about it.

    When he came out and we were getting the pricing, at the time, they were going to do the inside of my closets. I decided not to have the inside of the closets done because it was too much to get it ready. He said they were gonna leave me enough carpeting so at a time in the near future, we could put it in the closets ourselves. But the installers never left us anything. They rolled up what was left and put it in their truck. I asked the sales rep if it would have made a difference in the pricing that they didn't do the inside of the closets and he said no. They're very nice but when you have a problem, it's a whole different story. I sensed a little negativity.

    I got laminated flooring from Empire Today and I had it installed in the dining area. The fella showed up one time, moved the furniture that I wanted, and he went to work. I let him do his thing, I didn't bother him, and he didn't bother us. But when he took up our other rug from the area that I wanted done, he did not make a clean cut when he was finished. And when he laid down the finishing strip, the rug was not flushed with the strip. He could have done a better job cutting the rug to fit the area where I wanted it done instead of he just pulling it up, which made for an irregular finishing job with the rug. It's not glaring, but it's there. It's not a smooth finish to the strip. I was satisfied with the work except the rug area.

    I was glad that Empire Today called and quickly set up an appointment. They were personable and a little early, which I liked. I didn't have to call them. The person that was supposed to come out couldn't make it. His manager came out instead, which is good. They didn't try to reschedule.     I bought carpet from Empire Today and had it installed throughout the whole condo. It was put in a living room, a bedroom, and a sunroom. The installers removed the old carpet which was pretty bad, then they put in the new one, which took about six hours. They got the job done but Empire sent a couple of guys who didn't speak English so I couldn't communicate well with them. Also, it ticked me off that they promoted this half-price sale and they were saying the sale would end that Monday. I made my purchase on Saturday, so I thought I'd get the sale price. But about two weeks later, they got the same sale again. So I could have waited.

    Reached out to them to fix some planks that separated. They were very hard to get in touch with and said I was hard to get in touch with. I called and emailed them numerous times but rarely got a response. The flooring was put in about 2 years ago. There was no way it should be separating so soon. They quoted just about $2,000 and maybe more due to materials. Said it was a high traffic area. Then why in other areas it wasn't separating? Wouldn't give me information on who came out before and who was coming out to fix it. Never responded when I told them I wanted someone out. Never responded when I asked for a copy of the warranties. I ended up having a friend come over and fix it and all she wanted for payment was some left over Halloween candy since it was such an easy fix.

    They do not answer the telephone when you call. They run you in circles, I have been trying for over a year and a half now to get my floors repaired. The flooring that they installed and it was damaged when they installed it. Then when I finally got a team out to replace it they poured a bottle of water in my floor and told me I had a water leak. They pretended to not speak English even though they spoke English the first time they came to do the original install. I have had to threaten to call a lawyer to get them to respond to me. And now they have told me they would be out via text and then cancelled. I will be in touch with a lawyer this week to take them to court to get my money back or to get my flooring done the correct way. I do. It recommend them for anything and will NEVER do business with them again. If you want a satisfactory job for your money you definitely want to go elsewhere.

    I got carpeting and vinyl flooring from Empire. But the job's not finished and I've not heard back. I have a lot of complaints. The kitchen floor downstairs was not measured correctly. There is this big thick finishing that doesn't match the kitchen. Also, they did damage to the walls. I had to buy new baseboards and pay someone to install them. The half bath was never completed. After the tech ripped out half the floor, he said, “Oh, we don't remove vanities.” The salesman said they removed them but nobody told me differently. So, I've had a bathroom for a month now ripped apart.

    To top it off, I have a nail in my tire from the nails that he left out. There’s now a slow leak that I had to have checked. I'm still trying to get some resolution because they need to reimburse me for some of this because I've had to pay out. It has not been a good experience.

    I had a luxury vinyl plank installed by Empire on our finished basement and there could have been better communication from the actual installers. They made a decision on their own to match the baseboard to the floor when I had spoken with the designer person and it was supposed to be white. Then, they had run out of the gray and they had to come back but it was a different company that came back. It was supposed to be a one-day job but they didn't come back for two days, so I couldn't put together my basement. Other than that, the quality of the flooring is great.

    The rep came out and brought samples with him. We picked out the sample that we wanted and Empire Today was able to do it the following week. We got bathroom tiles and the installers were able to get it done within a couple of days.     We got vinyl flooring from Empire Today, which was the tongue-and-groove moisture-resistant type of flooring. I didn't have a lot of time to do some shopping around but I wish I had because they were a lot more expensive than I anticipated. Also, the salesman said that I agreed to a warranty guarantee which is an extra $500 that I knew nothing about. He never gave me any paperwork showing me what the cost was so I was a little disappointed with the sales procedure. When I called and complained about the charge that I didn't know anything about, the extra $500 for a warranty charge, the woman was very short with me and not apologetic. She seemed like I was taking up her time and did not satisfy my problem. But the technician who did the installation was thorough, clean, picked up after himself and didn't fuss around at all. That was probably the best part of the whole process.

    I’m happy with the product but the other day, I moved the chair and it scratched the floor. So, I was upset about that because I've got a lot of similar flooring throughout my house and none of it scratches. This one scratched easily, which I was disappointed with. I paid for the higher-end products and expected them to be a little bit more durable. It's not as durable as I thought it should be as my other floors are. I was very disappointed with the price. It was very expensive at $5,000 for an 8x10 or a 10x10 room. I have to be careful on that particular floor when I'm moving anything. I've replaced all the flooring in my house and this is one of the last rooms that I've done. It's different from the other flooring that I've done. Anything that I move on the flooring anywhere else, nothing scratches. It's super durable.

    This was a better experience than I could have wished for. The salesman Jason came to our home and brought so many samples for us to choose from. He was patient, understanding, and very professional. He answered all of our questions and calmed my fears/worries, and responded to my texts quickly after his visit leading up to our installation. He was very detailed and thorough discussion about the product, installation, and everything we would have to do to prepare. He discussed all of our options and gave us all the positive and negatives with the various types of flooring options/brands/colors, etc. He made sure we got all the discounts and sales prices we were allowed and worked us up a great deal to do the entire house at once. They may not be the cheapest option - but I'd rather pay more for a better experience overall.

    The installation team led by Alonzo were incredible. We were prepared to allow 4 days to do the entire house - they had it all done in 3! They were very careful with our belongings and were thoughtful in where and how things were moved to make room for the installation. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the amount of dust left on the floors when it was all done. It's not something that can be helped and the installers did sweep the floors so the trash and debris was gone, but it didn't do much for the fine particles. If we had to do it over the only thing I'd change is I would want to do a quick mop on the new floor in each room before they started moving the furniture back in there. Spectacular company outstanding quality in the floors and installation; and I'll recommend them to everyone based on our experience!

    From the moment that we set the appointment up to the installer's arrival and the quality of the carpet and price, everything was really a good experience. We moved into a new house. My only complaint is that they didn't explain that they don't install the trim around the edge of the carpet because I had it in just the living room and I left the hallway and the entryway.     We had carpet and hardwood flooring installed by Empire. Their sales rep came out and we selected the colors. He presented the materials, went over everything, and measured everything out. He did a good job. The installers did the full basement for the most part. But I have to call the installers for the flooring because one of the planks is really not the way it should be. It's popping up. That's the only one of all the work he did. Other than that, the flooring looks really nice. All in all, Empire does a good job. But it's just a little more expensive and they pulled my credit card out. I didn't like the fact that you had to pay for your stuff before the installers got it done but that's their procedure.

    I got carpeting done in two bedrooms, a closet, a living room and a hallway. The first time the rep came out, it was good. The second time, he showed up in a pair of shorts, a T-shirt and flip-flops. He knew I was already gonna buy the other rooms because I already had work done. So, he thought he could just show up any way he wanted. I have a 900-pound safe and he told me it'd be no problem and it became a problem when the installers came. They said they don’t move safes. They made a phone call and I talked to their boss, and we ended up figuring it out. I got the safe moved and they did their floor. They charged me to move the heavy furniture though. But the guys who came were great. They made my life easy. The carpet is super thin. What I was shown seemed a lot thicker than the material that's here. But it looks nice.

    I had some problems with the install. The person who came out said they would take out the floor but when they came out, they did not remove the underfloor. They said they couldn’t. I now have a quarter-inch gap between my bedroom and my living room that I have to be careful when I'm coming through. Also, the installers said that they talked to my husband but they did not.

    When I called, they gave me my money back for the removal of the floor. But the person who came out initially did check and never mentioned anything about if the flooring was under the cupboards, they couldn't remove it. I have white molding up against my dark cupboard they were supposed to have somebody come out and replace the molding. I'm still waiting. But I like the entrance way, kitchen, and living room. The bathroom looks fantastic, but I'm not 100% convinced.

    I hired Empire Today to install laminate flooring in my kitchen, and everything was fine until they sent the installer. The first installer was a jerk and couldn't speak English. He put my door open, even though I turned the air conditioning down to 70 for him so he was extra cool while working. He had been given two boxes of the wrong laminate, so he was mad and told me he'd be back in a few days with only half of my floor done. I said, "No, you just need to get someone to bring you what you need and you need to finish it."

    The installer decided, the second half, he would glue it all down, then he put the mat that I had in the kitchen in front of my sink and one in front of my island back. What was underneath it was he had broken several tiles and he was hiding them. Plus, there was glue oozing all over my floor. I had to call Empire Today and get them to send someone else, and they made it right. The next installer was great. The laminate flooring is great too. It's waterproof and it's nice. I like it.

    One thing I appreciated about Empire Today was they came out and measured right away. That made a big difference. The rep was very nice, professional, and had great knowledge of the products that he sold. He showed us all the materials that were available. The installers got here and started right away. They were very friendly and professional. They moved my piano back, and it wasn't their job to do that, but they went beyond the call of duty. Any questions I had in what they were doing, they answered all of them and did a great job.

    They came in and started cutting the carpet up, rolled it up, took it out, and cleaned up the floor. We left the home while they did that. It was dusty because the carpet had been down for a long time. But they were very professional. They came in and got it done within two days. It was over the holiday when we had it done. So, they came back after the holiday. And they would come back on the Sunday. But we said, “No, Monday's fine.” So, they came back on Monday and did a great job. They hauled everything away and worked efficiently and quickly. I was so shocked how quick they got it done. And I didn't realize they were coming from Chicago, so they did a great job in a short period of time.

    The hard laminate looks beautiful. They told me I should sell the house now that I got it done. I like how well it matched my cabinetry, kitchen and bookshelves in the den. And it's durable. We had hardwood in the kitchen, but it always had dents because if we dropped something on it, it dented the wood. And I love what we have now is easy to clean and durable. I don't have to worry about if I drop a glass or something and dent the floor. I highly recommend Empire Today.

He had a bunch of different tiles of carpeting and he went over all the different types. He measured everything and we talked price. The gentleman on the phone even gave me a way better price so I was very happy.

    The sales rep was very informative. He helped me bring down the price a little bit and offered me padding that's a bit more of an upgrade but made more sense with pets and kids. The installation day was the only thing I had a problem with. The rep said that with the size of my house, the job would be a two-day install but when the carpet people called, they said they were gonna get it all done in one day. Also, the carpet installers wanted everything out of the house. I wasn't prepared for that. They had to start in certain rooms before they got to other rooms 'cause I had to move stuff. I was told that they would be able to move that and they didn't. The installation took all day and by the time they were done, it was 11 at night. Then, I had to bring all the stuff that I sat outside in because I couldn't leave it out there to get wet. I was up 'til 2 in the morning and all I did was make sure that everything was back in the house.

    The installers didn't speak very good English and when I'd ask questions, he would nod to me. Plus they had alcohol in the garage where they put all their stuff. My installation got done but it wasn't very professional for them to have beer at work. Then I had to put the beds together so everybody could go to sleep. The next day, I finished putting everything back.

    Empire has good pricing but if you have a big house, you might wanna prepare a bit better than what their instructional video says. Also, there were a couple of things I had to fix. Where tucked the carpet in under the boarding, there was fiber hanging out or loose carpet. There was also a spot in my house where they put the carpet together and I can still see the glue line. But other than that, the experience was pretty good. People like the carpet. They come over and compliment me on it. It's better than the 20-year-old Berber carpet that was first installed in the house. This is a lot thicker, plusher carpet, and with padding. I like the padding because, now, if something gets spilled on the carpet, it's not soaking into the padding.

    I made my carpet installed by Empire. I had a good experience with the sales rep. I went online and scheduled a meeting. She showed up on time. She was on point and we were in and out so that was convenient for me. The installation was great as well. Scheduling the installation was very quick. They came Friday to do a walk-through and by Tuesday, they were installing. The only problem I have is when they cut up the carpet to bring outside to bring it inside, they left my whole driveway full of carpet stuff. I live in a nice neighborhood. I had to sit out there in the middle of the night and clean the whole driveway up with carpet fiber all over the place. That bothered me and I didn't appreciate that. They should clean up after themselves. It would have taken them 10 minutes at the time to clean up. Once they had left the carpet stuff outside, it was blown all over the place.

    Nothing is gonna deter me from using Empire in the future but I now know that I can't trust that they just walk away. They need to make sure they clean up the outside of the mess that they created as well as the inside. They did a good job on the inside and I'm satisfied with the work. The product was the quality that I asked for. But I was a little upset that I was out there sweeping up at night.

    The salesman was awesome. He came to the house twice, and this last time, it was for carpeting upstairs. He was courteous, quick, and knowledgeable. On the other hand, the installation was a mess. They didn't bring enough carpeting, and the kid was really awful to me. I called and complained to the boss. When somebody calls to complain, they should take their complaints in stride. They should take them down and tell the customer they'll address them.     I only had a couple of issues with my service as a whole. I’d mentioned it previously, but I couldn’t get in contact with anyone to reschedule prior to my install due to needing repainting done. I’d called the customer service line a few times and was always prompted to leave a voicemail (I believe I left one but never received a call back). I also reached out to my salesman since he mentioned I could call him about my install, and he didn’t pick up or return my call so I had to go through with the install on the date it was scheduled.

    The installation team damaged a piece of baseboard in one of the rooms and when I submitted a ticket about that, it took a while for me to receive a call back there. Even with that, no one followed back up until weeks later. While I’m happy with the carpet, I would’ve been happier if I’d been able to get in contact with people when I needed (the painters ended up getting some on the carpet) and received timely responses. Don’t think I would be a repeat customer.

    The salesman was excellent. The installer personally was charming. The floor visually looks good to an untrained eye. I was supposed to get skim coating, which he was halfway through before I noticed/remembered. He insisted he can not take the old carpet, which I was assured. I called the sales person twice due to inability to communicate (he was Spanish speaking). The company only sent one person to do the job, so it took about 12 hours. In the end there was no representative to follow up on the work. No call to check on my satisfaction. I’m glad there is a warranty, because when you walk on it you can feel a bow.

    I've got a couple of problems where the installers joined the carpet together. You could see the seams. I called Empire Today and they sent somebody out. The guy looked at it and said that I needed to wait a little while longer and let the carpet stretch them, and then they would come out before the warranty ran out and stretch it. I said okay as long as I don't forget when the warranty runs out. It seems to be a good carpet but it wasn’t cheap. I started to get another estimate but I didn't and went with this one. All in all, it was reasonable.

    While we certainly know this review won't change anything for our situation, we at least hope it may prevent some frustration and headaches for someone else. First, the good... The installers (Ignacio and his team) did amazing work and our floors are amazing, right now, we are pleased with the actual product. The installation coordinator(?) - Eric ** - top notch. He was the only person who actually made us feel heard, offered advice, guidance, and suggestions for how to proceed. If this rating was based off of them and the product alone, it would be 5 stars all day. But unfortunately, the rest of our experience far outweighs those things. The installation team and the actual flooring product are the only reasons we rated Empire as positively as we did. Everything else was so disappointing. Things we learned...

    1. Be extremely cautious of the "All Inclusive" pricing. It sounds great, but you can't get a breakdown of the pricing. The salesperson can't provide one, and the person who the salesperson says to ask, ignores the request the first 3 times the request is made, and the 4th time, says they don't have specific cost breakdowns. That person then passes you on to someone else, who only provides small screenshots instead the entire document. It is difficult to understand how a company of this size is not be able to produce an itemized breakdown of the work provided upon request, or even a percentage breakdown, i.e. X% is towards product, X% for demo, X% for installation, etc.

    2. If there are issues found, which understandably may happen with home remodeling, may the odds be forever in your favor. If you have questions, concerns, or voice frustrations, you are then entered into a "Blame someone else (including you the customer)" game. Our salesman also admitted he noticed one of the issues, but didn't think it was important to mention to us.

    3. Strongly suggest that you do all the demo and move all the furniture yourself. Why? Because if there are issues found that cause you have to end up doing your own demo or move the furniture that, in the contract, they agreed to do, they won't adjust the cost so you don't pay them for work they didn't do. If you do ask, you likely won't hear anything unless you continue to ask. You're met with radio silence at first, then an assurance that it will be looked into, then when you still don't hear anything and ask again, you're met with a nonapologetic response without details on if/how they are going to work with you.

    4. They are ok with false documentation and misrepresentation. The salesman documented that our discount was a manager approved price match a quote from a different company (100% false in our case) and when you call them out on that, they are surprised and confused why you say that you question their honesty. They also hide behind the "Manager Discount" and All Inclusive Pricing as the excuses on why they supposedly can't adjust the price for work they didn't do. And just insist that you still got a great deal.

    5. When your concerns/questions do finally get escalated to someone who you have hopes that they might actually be someone who listens, you are greeted by someone who just wants to convince you that you got a great deal, and doesn't give the impression they actually are listening to why you are upset. This person also just keeps insisting that you still got a great deal despite being charged for work they didn't end up performing. Knowing they are ok with their sales reps entering false documentation, refusing to provide some sort of breakdown (they repeat over and over that can't do this because they aren't a retail shop and because they do all inclusive pricing), and being ok with just providing snippets and screenshots instead of the full documentation, it is hard to believe them when they say, "I assure you, you got a great deal".

    They boast how badly they want a 10/10 rating. The lack of communication, subpar customer service, and the "leadership" response when there are issues, are the reasons why we will not be using Empire again or recommending it to others.

The prior laminate floor was fine - 4 worn boards that could have been replaced - but was an ugly yellow. Empire removed old laminate and installed vinyl flooring. We bought a new vacuum, use only Swiffer, and got new feet and rollers for all our furniture - based on what we were told the warranty required.

    A few months later I called because the floor edges were starting to pull up in a few spots. The person who led the install team came out and said there were NO on-site issues that would cause the problem and that they would have someone call to schedule a warranty repair. A rep called a while later and said it would cost $600 to repair because of ‘site damage’. I said there was NO site damage - and I cited all the info above. I asked if they would escalate. In May of 2022, they called to say a manager was going to come out and review the floors. I asked them to proceed but they never came out and I got preoccupied with my son's graduation, college prep, and my leukemia treatment and didn’t call them back for another several months to check on things.

    I have been arguing with them since. They WILL NOT send someone out to review the floors unless I pay upfront even though I have the active full warranty. The last thing I heard from them was that I could hire a house inspector to look at the floor and IF they said the floor issues were their fault then they would send someone out to review. It’s been a total nightmare and now my floor is pulling up everywhere. Numerous people have said the floor was not properly handled by them prior to installation, causing the issue. We have throw rugs all over so that no one cuts their feet. It is causing us all significant stress and frustration to have spent all this money with a company that is supposedly reputable only to find out they are a FRAUD!

    Bottom line is that since they refused to the lifetime warranty that flooring manufacturer provided we hired a another flooring company wanting it fixed from water damage that was supposed to be covered. Since they didn't want to cover it. We hired another flooring company to fix it. After starting the repair they stated this floor should have been covered by them. Contacting Empire again the story had changed to not the flooring be wet to someone else touch it voiding the warranty. But then also told that the flooring doesn't exist anymore so they couldn't fix it anyway. I told them we had 3 carton still but refused after telling us originally they wouldn't warranty it plus their policy was the complete opposite on who should handle the claim with each person I talked to gave us a different story all along promising they would fix it.

    I like the product that Empire had, and I know they've been in business for a long time. The sales rep was very helpful in bringing different types of samples to help me decide what exactly I wanted. He helped me decide the coloring. The installation team did okay. I was a little put off that there was only two and only one of them spoke English. I had to have them come back to finish up the step going into the garage because it didn't adhere and it started to lift just within a couple of weeks of the installation.

    I had the new floors put in on the main floor and on the inside stairway in my house. It's luxurious vinyl. It looks like wood but it's not wood. The color is true to what the sample was. I love these floors. They're pretty. They're easy to keep clean. I'm really pleased with the product. Overall, Empire was accommodating. They were very much so in the fact that I was scheduled to have my floors installed in November, and I broke my ankle and was not able to have the installation done. They had no problem moving it out until January, so that we could get it done with the least amount of mess since I was off of my feet for six weeks. They were also respectful of my house.

    We had people from different companies come out and give us a quote. Empire sent a man out with the floor quote and he was really nice. He looked at the floor and gave us a quote for the job. Theirs was the most affordable. The cost was about 60% of some of the other quotes. I did not have the money for that floor so I took a chance on them.

    Empire had a subcontractor come out to put in my ceramic tile floor and he was fantastic. There was a little bit of a language barrier with us but it didn't matter what language he spoke. He was especially skilled and really good at what he did. He and his son cleaned everything up crystal clean. They couldn't have laid a better floor. We've had a lot of work done to the house and the subcontractor was the best one of everything. He clearly cared about his work and it mattered to him that his work looked good and was solid. He left a perfect floor.

    When they had a problem where they said something wasn't covered that my salesman put in the contract, Empire honored the price inclusion my salesman told me so they didn't leave me hanging. My salesman talked to the company and told them that he authorized it. Empire didn't screw me over on the job. Whatever my salesman left out or didn't do right about the contract, they fixed it. That was really great.

    I had an area outside the bathroom that is currently a wood laminate. Originally, it was carpeted and I was thinking about having it carpeted again. So when the salesman was taking measurements, I asked him to include that. But when Empire Today did the installation, the installers did not do that area and they asked if I wanted it done. They said it wasn't in the plan and showed me the diagram. So I shouldn’t have them do it. But I asked them about it afterwards and I've never heard back from them. Still, the workmanship and the guys that did the installation were fantastic. There's probably nothing wrong with the carpet. It's just that the pile is high, so when you vacuum, it shows too many marks.

    I had Empire put some carpet down. I didn't realize how they messed my floors up when they did my bathroom. But they did okay on the carpet. I bought that cheap padding and I didn't know. I thought I had bought quality padding. So, my first two rooms have that cheap padding that I'm not satisfied with. Nothing I could do about it.     The salesperson that came out to my house had a book of samples, and I chose the laminate flooring from that. The interaction was rushed, which definitely left something to be desired. On the other hand, the installers did a fantastic job even though they chipped my fireplace at the bottom while removing the old floor. They were wonderful. They told me that Empire would not cover that, but as it turned out, they did. They came out and repaired it. Apparently, they were a third-party hired by Empire to do the installation, so they don't work directly for them. Besides that, the flooring is still relatively new, and it's very good.

    We had Empire Today in another house that we moved from and I had dropped a marble piece on the floor. It chipped and they took care of it. We really liked it. So we also had them install engineered hardwood in the second floor, including four bedrooms, the hallway, and a couple of bonus rooms. When the sales rep came, he brought several samples and talked to us about the different kinds of flooring, engineered hardwood versus vinyl, versus vinyl plank. He also talked about the warranty on it for issues, if we had any, and the durability of what we were choosing. As well as explaining there was an incentive that the company was doing because we weren't offered that incentive. He was very good and wasn't pushy.

    The installation took them longer than they thought it was going to. They had some difficulty getting enough of the product. But they were really good. We had some issues and they came back to take care of some quarter-round that we didn't like the way that had been installed. Then they came back recently because part of the floor was kind of spongy. So they did whatever they had to do and fixed it, and it looks great. I like the color. It was good matching to what we had on the stairs. They did a really good job installing it. As a returning customer, we were very pleased with Empire Today. All of that was as easy as it was 10 years ago. Empire Today is honest and reliable. They have great product and warranty.

    The rep was very helpful in showing me how the floor would look by taking a picture. The only shortcoming was that he underestimated the amount of time the installers were gonna need to install the vinyl. He thought that the installers could just lay the vinyl on top of the sticky tiles, but there were a number of them missing. They ended up having to take up all of the old flooring before putting down the new one. So they spent a good couple of hours more than they anticipated. Other than that, the quality was excellent.

    Today not tomorrow not next week, it is TODAY!!!! That must be why they are called Empire TODAY!!! You see this company is built upon the 1 time close!!! The Salesperson told me so… What does that mean, well it meant that I was not going to have any time to do my due diligence or do any research on the company or if they were my first vendor they I spoke with, anytime to check on pricing.. They wanted to close TODAY and TODAY only… Do not worry about them measuring anything or them showing you numbers, if you are not buying today then there will be NONE of that…

    Let me say I am in Sales, I own a Solar/Alarm/ and Turf company and we value service, the guy that came to my home valued HIS commission and His commission only… Thus if there was not going to be a sale today, then there would not be any kind of service either.. The interesting point is once which was after he left my home, I started to do some research on the company it was clear that they were not service driven, They may be a big company but what I saw today and read today was a company that was not about me first and was about them first and that is not how I do business..
