I set up an appointment and a guy with Empire Today came out. The carpet color I wanted at the time was expensive. They ended up calling me when they had a special going on. I did it then. They could throw in another color, but it's good. The installers were on time, got the job done in a nice amount of time and cleaned up everything. They also communicated back.

Empire Today has a good salesperson. The installers installed the carpet in less than three hours. There was no furniture to move because I was just moving into my home. They did their job. The color of the carpet matches the walls that were already painted inside of the house I purchased.

I had a very good experience with Empire. However, their scheduling department needs some work. A few times, they said they were going to come out on a certain day. We watch a couple of dogs, so we were trying to get things in order for that. But then, they didn't come, and then I called and they said, "We changed it to this other day." We had that happen three times. Whenever I would call and ask, "What's going on? They were supposed to be here on this day, and then you guys changed it on me." Nobody really knew what was going on. They did not seem to work very well together as far as the scheduling people. They were all very nice, but they weren't on the same page. As far as the work, the work was beautiful once they got here and did it.
We got linoleum downstairs in our family room, our laundry room and our bathroom. Hardwood on the stairs, too. They were great about moving things around for us and getting to the areas that they needed to get to. There were five of them and they all just had their own jobs to do. They were working the whole time. Nobody was standing around. They seemed to work really well together and they were top-notch. We had three different sets of people come out and, every time, they were wonderful. All of them were great.

The gentleman who came to give me the estimate was very upfront about the price. He didn't try to gouge anything or paint any rainbows. He also didn't try to force me into anything. Once I told him that that was too expensive for me, he told we we could look at some alternatives. He didn't make me feel bad about not being able to afford. He asked what my budget was. We went from there and were able to pick some nice carpet. The installers were good. However, I didn't like that they didn't give me a window of time that they were coming out. I was waiting around all day, and they ended up not showing up until 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. It ended up going late into the evening, till about 8:00 or 9:00, before they were done getting everything installed. Other than that, they were professional and got the job done.

Good luck getting someone to come out to an appointment you scheduled. I went online a few days ago and scheduled an appointment for today, Sunday, for a window from 3-5. I get an email an hour before my window starts stating my appointment has been changed to Tuesday from 3-5. I call to inquire. I am told the agent did this because they were overbooked, and I have to keep Tuesday, which I did not book, does not fit my schedule, and I had already altered my schedule for today to accommodate the agent that was supposed to come by. Basically, I got stood up, and I had no say in what they booked next for me. Just got an email from them as my only notification they weren't showing up. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Who does business like this? The company cancels the appointment you scheduled and made arrangements for and cancels on you and books another appointment without your say to see if that one would even work for you. No thank you.

Empire did some work 10 years ago on my kitchen. I had a wood panel done recently and I like it. As far as my surround sound system goes, the sound is much louder. It's a good acoustic. It's not being drowned out by the carpet. Our experience this time with the installers was good. The previous time, they had a lot of issues. They got it down a year before. But this time, the installers came on time. As far as cutting it, did a good job, and everything along with the baseboards. They were very professional. I was very impressed. The communication between the installers and the customer needs to be a little bit better though. Other than that, they did a good job, they came out as they said, did it all in one day, and they were gone. It was very seamless.

The Empire guy that came out and showed me the samples was really nice. The installation of our carpet went great. I love it. I would recommend Empire. The only issue that I had was when the guys came out to install my carpet, they ended up turning on my emergency heat and messing up my HVAC system. I had to pay somebody to come out and fix that. But Empire Today reimbursed me for that amount.

The last time I used Empire, I had the whole downstairs done with laminate. This time, I got the vinyl flooring for one room, and the lady that came here, Shonda, was really good with me. She helped me a lot. The installation went well, and the flooring is good. Overall, I had a good experience with Empire, and I'd recommend them anytime.

I had laminate wood floors put in and the installation was a one-day job. We had an issue where one of the seams from two pieces didn't match up correctly and there was one spot where it bubbled up. We called them and they replaced it. But their rep definitely sold the product above what he should have. He told us it was scratch-proof and there would be no worries with anything. It's not so much scratch-proof because it will scratch. We might have kept looking if we thought this was what it was gonna end up being like.

It went great with them. When the salesperson came out, I told him I didn't want the installation done the next day or two because I was having the painters do the walls. I wanted them to paint before I had the new floor put down. They waited and came t a good time. The installers did an excellent job. We got laminate for the kitchen, dining room, hall, and three bedrooms. We also got carpet for both the sunroom and the den. The floor looks beautiful and the people were fantastic. I have a friend that bought a house that she was gonna have the floors redone and I told her, "Go with Empire. I had fantastic results."

Empire could come a little sooner than another company we looked at. We also got a couple of discounts with Empire for being a veteran and a second-time user. We had them install vinyl flooring and it met every expectation.

I cannot fully express the horrible experience we have had with this company. They promised the job would be done in 1 day. It took 4. They were never on time and the last day stayed until 11 pm. They left the house a mess and the job looked horrible. Gaps between the floor and door jams, scratches on the new floor, chipped paint on the walls, missing moldings. It took over two weeks for anyone to call us back to fix the problems. We called multiple times and got multiple reference numbers about our case. It was ridiculous. Now they finally send someone out to fix things and the worker claims he told us about the issues. Lies! They packed up in such a hurry. They didn’t have time to tell us anything. I would never recommend this company! Use them only if you want to waste money, time and energy for horrible service.

Do yourself a favor and save money, do not use this company!!! Our carpet is less than a year old and it looks like it is 10+ years. The carpet is matte down and worn. We have warranty on this but I need to have it professionally cleaned and pictures taken before they will even consider warranty. 1. You can't see matted down carpet in pictures and 2. I don't have $500+ to carpet clean 3 bedrooms, hallway and living room. Their warranty, that you pay for, is a JOKE and their manager is rude and unprofessional, no help at all! We got midgrade carpet and it looks terrible, carpet from Lowe's wears better than Empire. Also, their buy 1 room, get one for $50 is another JOKE.

We got the laminate tile from Empire Today. We love it. It looks better than I thought it would. The flooring also got done faster than other companies could. The rep was also great. We loved him. He was super friendly and wasn't pushy.

The Empire sales guy I worked with was awesome. He was the best person I have spoken to in regard to sales. Listened to what I needed and cut straight to the chase. He was very honest and personable. The rep helped me pick out the color and walked me through. He brought all the books in. The guys who came out and did the carpet were great, too. They moved some stuff that I probably should have moved by myself. But since it's just me, it was a lot harder. They put it all back and they worked quickly. The carpet really looks good. Color's great. I would totally use Empire again if I needed my carpet or anything done.

Paid downpayment of $1400 for carpet, moved all furniture out of rooms. No one showed up x 2 different days. Asked for a refund. They still have not given a refund and it's been 30 days since canceled. Their customer service person said they have no record of us paying a $1400 downpayment. Stated we have bank records which verify they were paid. No refund yet. Next step is getting a lawyer.

I had a seamless experience with them. Once I picked up the flooring, the tech installed it. There was a check verification process towards th eend that could have been done a bit more smoothly because the installer was on the phone with the processor but that had nothing to with the installer. Other than that, the installer was great.

I ordered carpets for all bedrooms and my living room and linoleum for my kitchen and laundry room. In April, they put down my kitchen floor. They put a subfloor down and tiled over it, then my dishwasher went. A repair guy came out to remove the dishwasher, and he couldn't get it out because Empire put the floor up too high. I can’t get the dishwasher out to get it repaired or get a new one, and I got to wash dishes every day, which is ridiculous. I’m not real happy. They have done nothing, and I’m waiting for somebody to get back to me. On the other hand, the carpet install was fine. I had one room installed so far.

I really liked the Empire sales guy. He had come out and given me a quote, and then I had another large expense, so I had to put it off. I called again years later, and he came out and he was just wonderful. The three gentlemen that were there for the installation were professional and polite. It was a great experience. I absolutely love the carpet. Empire also stood by everything they said. They were there when they were supposed to be.

The gentleman from Empire who came was very professional, very helpful, and took his time going through the samples. When the guys came to lay the carpet, they did a very good job. I liked Empire's pricing. It was better than anybody else. The only thing is the door rubs against the carpet. So, it's not shaved, but other than that, the quality is excellent.

I really enjoyed working with Empire. I was doing some searches online and Empire came up and they were the first to get back to me with a quote and actually send out a sales rep. Then he worked with us. It seemed that he was giving us pretty good deals and discounts to be able to do what we wanted to do. Empire said the work would be done in two days, and it was. They worked fast and everything looks great. We haven't had any issues with the flooring. We had our kitchen, laundry, and bathroom area redone. We had the carpet removed from our stairs, and then they put down some kind of paneling to make it look like wood. We're gonna need carpeting and stuff done in the future, so I plan on calling Empire for that.

I bought vinyl flooring from Empire Today and I love it. It is very easy to clean. I was really impressed with the sales professional. He was able to come to my house within just a couple days of me calling. Also, there were two gentlemen that came to install the floor, and they were in and out in about three hours. During installation, they ripped up our existing rug and started to install the rug they brought in one room. We let them know it was the wrong rug, but at that point, they said they would just put the rug in. They did and then they came back two days later to rip out the rug that they had just put in to put down the correct one. But I would have kept the other rug if Empire took the price off, but they didn't seem like they wanted to so I told them to put the right rug in. Other than that, the installers were great. They were very good at what they did and they were very clean and neat.

I like the product from Empire Today. It's great. The installation did not go well. They were supposed to come two days later. But they didn't come. They called the morning of and said the carpet was not in stock. That was supposed to be done and then the very next day was supposed to be the hall, which was the laminate wood. We went round and round about that.
I got the carpet put in. They left off two of the threshold pieces from two of the different rooms. Now one of them butted up against where they were going to put the laminate wood. The other one was a threshold from my bedroom into my bathroom and they weren't doing anything in my bathroom. But the guy that did the carpet said that the guy that was coming back to do the other would do the thresholds. I was concerned about that that it wouldn't get done.
The next installation was the laminate. That was scheduled a couple of times. They didn't show up. I finally called and got ahold of somebody and told them, "I'll just cancel it. I'm done scheduling." But they showed up the next morning, so I went ahead and let them do it. The installer for the laminate was wonderful. He ended up going back and fixing all the things that the guys didn't do for the carpet. He went above and beyond.
I called the guy that came out and gave me the quotes and told him, "I'm having a hard time. I can't get ahold of anybody." He said, "Okay. Let me try." He never called me back either. They do not return phone calls very well at all. That was my biggest complaint. You can't call and get ahold of them. You can call and it puts you on hold or you don't get a human or the person you finally get ahold of doesn't know what you're talking about.
But about a month and a half after the installation finally, Empire called me back and I told them about the complaints 'cause my other thing was they charged me for the heavy furniture moving. I read in the contract that it said standard furniture was included in that. With the office that they did, which is one of the rooms that they put the carpet in, they didn't have to move anything. In the other room, there was still a bed. There were two nightstands and a dresser that they moved. The lady gave me my money back on that 'cause she said they shouldn't have charged me. I'm happy with the flooring and with the price that I paid for it. But their customer service was not good.

When the salesman came here, he was very polite and he was somebody I could really work with. Also, it was within the price range that I was comfortable with so we went ahead with Empire. We had carpeting installed for three bedrooms and the installers were nice and very courteous. One of them didn't speak as much and he did the bulk of two of the rooms. I liked his work a lot better than the other gentleman. The other gentleman did the master bedroom by the doorway and it seems a little off.

I like the service. One time, the guy showed up to put one carpet in my son's room and I thought that he needed more assistance, but he showed me that I didn't know what I was talking about because he did a wonderful and quick job. He moved the furniture, too. That was surprising. It worked out well for me.

There were some challenges, with everything being in its place. When the guy came out to start the process of pulling the carpet and installing, we had to wait for the office to get everything straightened out. Then, we saw that we had a bill for something that we shouldn't have gotten a bill for, so we got that straightened out as well. But the installation was okay. They did a good job on the carpet. We just had some dings on our furniture that we didn't appreciate. We saw some light deep scratches on the dresser and the bed wasn't put back together correctly. We had to have someone come and redo the bed altogether. And there was a ding on one of the bedroom sets my mom bought. It was a brand new set.
I felt like they were feeling rushed. They were trying to get everything done that night but it was only a couple of guys and we have a five-bedroom house where we're getting all the bedrooms done. They should have had some more people. But other than those, everything went fine. They were determined to get the job done and they finished it that night and the carpet looks great.

We had sheet vinyl flooring put in our kitchen and dining room. The installation went fine but there was one minor error. The first time they came out, they brought something that didn't look like what it looked like on the computer, so we changed it. Then, they came out and installed it. It was no problem. We like the new flooring a lot.

They had samples of luxury vinyl plank and carpeting and they measured the room I was having done and gave me an estimate of what it was going to cost. The installation went fine. The luxury vinyl plank was installed faster than the carpeting. Everybody cleaned up after themselves and asked me to make sure I didn't see anything that was awry. The quality of the product is excellent. I got luxury pad for the carpeting because I wanted it nice and plush. I love it. Everything's great. I was very happy.

Purchasing was fine but the installation of the carpet was a nightmare. The installers themselves were very nice but they had to come out multiple times because the measurements were incorrect each time. They finally got the measurement right and the stair runner was installed. When they installed the vinyl plank flooring in the basement, that was excellent. But I would not use them again for the carpet. But the quality of the product is good. I thought the padding would have been thicker but it's a stair runner and it's fine.

The cost was much better with Empire. I purchased LVP, plank tile, and carpeting. The installation took two weeks. I did the first floor first, where I replaced all the carpeting with the LV planks. That took a week. A few months later, I did the second floor and that was another five days. I was disappointed in how the tile was put in the bathrooms. It didn't look as good as I expected it to. There were limited choices of what kind of tile flooring they provided and I was looking for something with a more solid color. Instead, I wound up with a marble-type floor which wasn't what I was looking for. Other than that, the quality of the products is very good and I'm very pleased with it. I like that the LVP is waterproof so if ever I have a water leak, it's not going to get ruined. I also like the look of it.

You would do better dealing with a local company that has better customer service, quality, and selection. I bought carpeting for two bedrooms. The installers worked really hard. They were very courteous and polite. The quality of their work is fine. The cost of the product was a little bit less than with other companies but the quality is inferior. They had a severely limited selection of carpeting to choose from. Because I was trying to get this done quickly, I went along with whatever they had. But I was disappointed that they did not have more choices.

Everyone we dealt with treated us very kindly, with great respect, and with a very positive concern for what we were needing. Also, Empire was one of the few companies that would take on a small project as we had. We were delighted with every aspect of our contact with them. They installed linoleum in the bathroom and we like it a lot. We'd recommend Empire.

We painted in the room in preparation of getting the new carpet we purchased from Empire. When their reps came in, there were machine equipment scratches in the paint that showed through white and through the blue that we had painted. I contacted someone and they asked if I could get an estimate of how much it would cost to fix it. I told them I painted it myself, so I went through and I painted it again over the new carpet, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. He then asked if I would agree to $100 as pay back not only for the paint, but also as compensation for the headache of having to do all that. I agreed to that but they haven't sent the $100 and it's been quite some time. Other than that, the carpet is great.

Empire Today came out for the estimate quickly. The gentleman who came and did the consultation was very knowledgeable. He helped explain for us to understand all the options that we had. The company that contracted with Empire to install the floors was very friendly and answered questions. Everything they had to do was quick, so it was a good experience. We did half carpet and half laminate. The only thing was there was something I did not know about the laminate material. If I would have known, we probably would have went with a vinyl.

I did carpet and padding in my family room through Empire. I like the price. The sales representative broke things down to layman's terms as far as what the padding was compared to other paddings, what the carpet was as far as threads, and what the Scotchgard was on it. She even did the same as far as the laminate floors that I did look at but my wife and I didn't want to do it at that time so we just did the carpet and we’re extremely happy with it.
The installers were here before time. They called me and asked me if they could come earlier. They were very professional. They moved all the furniture and took their time with it. They were able to get up all the old carpet, took everything out, cut it up, and put it outside into the van. Then they came in and installed everything we had in a timely fashion that I was extremely happy with because they were done before time.

The Empire sales guy came out, and he was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The installers were fabulous, very nice, very friendly, very efficient, and hard workers. We bought a brand-new refrigerator and when they pulled it out, it must have tipped and it hit our two-tiered countertop because the dents line up. They weren't there before, and that was kind of hard to resolve. I did take pictures and sent them immediately. There was a girl named Amy who was responding to me, and then she stopped communicating. The sales guy told me who to go to. I dealt with Ben, and he did resolve the issue. I don’t expect a new refrigerator and a new door would be way too expensive, but we did agree on a dollar amount.
There was also a chip in the floor in my entryway that if I could cover, I would not care at all. It’s right there, though, and I see it all the time. Because our flooring is new, and it’s probably the flooring we’re gonna have for the length of the house that we lived here, I did want that fixed. So, we’ve been trying to connect and get that fixed. The last two Wednesdays, the gentleman called and canceled because there were some problems with their equipment. I’m not upset about that. We’ll connect eventually and have that fixed. Overall, it was a good experience. I love the flooring. We’re very happy with it.

I used Empire before and they had a good promotion. I recently had them do my flooring in all three bedrooms and the stairs. Their sales rep was wonderful. He was helpful, nice, and patient. The installers came by, introduced themselves, and did a fine and clean job. I like the color and the design of the new flooring.

It went very well with Empire. They were very responsive. The sales rep came out with a lot of products and was able to answer any questions I had. But I could tell that they were trying to sell the product right there and walk out of there with a contract. It would have been nicer to feel like we had time to talk about it and they didn’t really give us that feeling. Also, the installers could be a little more careful. They marked up my wall in moving the furniture. But they showed up when they said they were going to and got the installation done really quick. The product is wonderful. We're very happy with it. I would recommend Empire. I’d suggest getting a quote from them and trying not to let the sales tactic intimidate you.

We had Empire Today install carpet all over our home. When the salesman came to the house and showed us the carpet and we decided, he said he would be the person in charge of everything along the way. When I called him afterward to follow up on something, he was rather indignant about the fact that I called him. He said, "No, those are things that you have to call whether it’s Dispatch or Planning." He was the salesman that was supposed to handle everything.

We've used Empire a couple of times in Massachusetts. We liked the person that we had worked with beforehand, and everything was pretty good so we never had any issues. This time, we're looking to get a couple of bedroom rugs put in, and somebody's supposed to come out Saturday to give us an estimate. We would refer the company.

We got some vinyl flooring from Empire Today, and then we did the living room and the hallway. Their rep showed all the samples and talked about the durability and the wear and tear and what we could expect and not expect from the product, and he seemed to be pretty thorough and knowledgeable about his products. The installation went with no real hiccups of any kind. The installer got it done and answered any questions that we had. He was professional. Everything's good. The product is held in place. I would tell others that with Empire, they would get a good product in a very reasonable time for installation.

We bought a carpet from Empire for our bedroom and before that, we bought flooring for our living room too. That was a while ago and the product has been very good. The technicians who did the installation were great. They did a wonderful job. I took the bed apart but they moved everything out of the room. When it came time to put everything back, they told me, “Sit down.” They put all the beds together, the mirror back, or the dresser. My carpeting is beautiful. I’d use Empire again. I use them all the time.

Empire's sales rep was very informative. He really helped me narrow down the decisions when it was between two choices to where I couldn't decide and gave me the pros and cons. He was really kind, honest, not intimidating, and not high-pressure. I felt that the product was good. I got carpet with padding. The installers were wonderful. They were very quiet and were like a pair of worker bees. I am still amazed that the female who couldn't have weighed more than 100 pounds was swinging those tools and getting that work done just as hard as the male was.
My new flooring is beautiful. It vacuums very well. We have since moved within the last two weeks and that was the primary reason for getting it done because we wanted it to look nice for the open house that we had, and it was a selling point that added to the value whenever I could say, “Hey, you have a warranty. Here's the number. Here's the swatch. If anything happens, you can just call them and they'll replace it.”

We got the vinyl flooring put in every room of the house. When the installers came in, they worked pretty extensively and in a couple of days, they were finished. The flooring looks great and I’m totally satisfied. Empire did a good job and the price was reasonable.

Empire was reasonably priced. I got new carpeting and they did a very nice job on the installation. I was very pleased that they moved everything and putting everything back where they were. They were also friendly and on time. Everything went extremely well and I'd recommend them to anybody.

When Empire's rep came over, I found a sample of a vinyl tile that I liked. He was thorough and he answered all our questions. He was very informative, brought all the samples in, and showed us what they would look like. I found a sample of a vinyl tile that I liked and we ended up closing the deal that day. The installers were also all right.
But they didn't talk about the molding on the walls. They're a different color than what our walls are painted so it kind of looks off. If we were to sell this house, that's going to be an issue. Also, the caulking around the toilet was very messy. Then, I have found that it's very difficult to clean the vinyl, so that was a letdown after purchasing through Empire. The product works and I like the look of it. It's a grayish and woodish tile-looking floor. But I'd rather have something that is easier to clean that doesn't show as much dirt and dust throughout the day.

I purchased hardwood floors recently from Empire Today. I picked out what I wanted and I’m satisfied with it. The installers did an excellent job, too. So far, I gave Empire two different projects in my house to do my living room, dining room, and family room. So, I feel that they should give me some type of discount to do a future project.

I love both of my floors. For the Empire product and the person that installed my floor in 2009, I have absolutely no trouble with it other than it needing a good cleaning. My floor in the kitchen is also beautiful. I got the product I asked for but I have gotten shoddy customer service. Also, the installer that came cut the trim on my doorframe. I had just put up brand-new trim and measured it with a piece of my living room floor that I bought from Empire in 2009. I talked to customer service. She was a lady in Nashville and we had a very heated discussion. She told me to quit talking over her and that she would void my warranty.
I showed her pictures of the installer having the saws in my home because he said, "I didn't have any saws. I didn't cut anything." You can take your hand and stick it underneath one of my door trims and put about three inches of your fingers down in a hole. He then had to come back a second time because he left cracks in my floor.
It has taken from the point that they put the floor in to about three weeks ago for me to be able to get my sink and dishwasher installed, waiting on stuff to be fixed. I asked them the second time around not to send that same installer but he was sent anyway. He told me at that point that he didn't cut the trim. He may not have but his crew did. He was telling me that I was a liar. I don't appreciate being called a liar when I have put $35,000 in repairs since January in a house. I'm upset with the customer service part. I've been waiting for four hours for a new installer to come in for a floor that was put down on April the 8th. They called me four hours ago and said they would be here within an hour or two.

We had some kitchen flooring put in but the guy left some little strips. Then, there was tile that was all messed up and the grout was coming out. When I asked him about it, he told me that that he left them there until the carpet got installed. They knew, at the time, that we were discussing to put new carpet in each bedroom too. A month and a half later, we had the carpet man come out here. He telling my husband that he couldn't fix that as he didn't have materials. The guy showed me that all they were here to do was do the carpet and that no one told them that they were going to have to fix what the other guy left. So, I had to call Empire and I had to send some pictures of what I was talking about because they didn't really know what they had left. Then, Empire sent someone out here to fix it like we wanted it.
After that, the next day, I noticed when I was sitting in my bathroom that one of the little planks was sticking up way high that went into one of my bedrooms. So, I had to call back and get them to fix that. And they came back out this past Saturday and fixed that. As far as the products and everything that they did, things looked good. Looking at the carpet and the floor, we love them. And every time I called and had anything that needed to be done, they were right there. So overall, we were pleased with our experience.
The girl that came out here also said something about making it good as far as compensating us on all the time we had left work. There was one time when they were supposed to come out here and put our carpet in that we took off four days of work and they cancelled because the contractor we had was sick. We did three bedrooms at the time and we had to get my son to come out here to help us move our stuff. But no one has done any kind of compensating so far.

I got the hardwood floors from Empire because their prices are reasonable and they installed very quickly. I had the installation done in two bedrooms of my home in Florida, Wellington and the process was very easy. The flooring's color is oak and I like the style that they had. I would highly recommend Empire, which I have.

I did Empire's luxury vinyl plank in a high-rise condo. It's waterproof and it doesn't stain or markup. So, if I have a leak, it’s not going to affect people below me. It's very sturdy and we like the colors. It was reasonably priced, too. The installation went in real quick and easily. The Empire contractor did a great job. I called Empire's customer service about three days later. I noticed there was a scratch that went on about four planks when they moved furniture back in place. Within two days, somebody was out here to replace all the vinyl planks with new vinyl planks for me. It was great. There was no extra charge, and the person left me the remaining box in case something ever happens in the future.

Empire Today had a quick turnaround, they showed up when they said they were gonna show up, and they did a good job. The installers were very clean and prompt. We had a little scheduling snafu, and they were very flexible. The sales guy had to come back out. He came out initially. We thought the job was gonna be bigger. There were two parts of it, one was vinyl plank flooring and the other one with the carpet. The vinyl plank flooring quote was way too high. So, I called him back a couple of days later and said, "I don't need the vinyl plank, but I'd like to move ahead with the carpet." I would have loved to use them for the vinyl plank flooring because I wouldn't have had to deal with anybody else. Their price was double. Still, for the piece that they did install, it was great.

We like our laminated flooring from Empire Today. The sales reps seem to be pretty professional. Salespeople are salespeople. They push and they come up with all of these wonderful things that you find out later could not possibly be true. I went in on a promotion and I ended up buying something that was not on promotion, but I ended up getting a sale that was almost as good as the promotion. I'm overall satisfied.
The only thing is that the advertising is a little bit deceiving. It's like a loss leader, whereas you do one major room, you have to pay full price for the major room, and then you get four rooms free. They should tell you that the labor is more expensive than the material. So, the only thing that they're giving you is a discount on the materials. Overall, the sales rep was good. She appeared to be genuine in most respects. I went with a professional because I wanted a guarantee. I didn't want shoddy work, and they did great work. I love the work that the installers did.

Empire Today did the floor tiling in the bathroom. The install went smoothly. I met with the salesman on a Friday and he had the installers come on Saturday. They were very good and did a clean job. It looks nice. I was happy with the service. The flooring was installed professionally and it looks good. It's improved the look of the bathroom. It prompted me to paint the bathroom and change the hardware. I spent like $1,200 in total. It's a really comfortable space. Empire is worth checking out. The salesman was good. He was easy to work with.

I really liked the worker who did my flooring. I felt like he was the best. When I picked my package, I thought I was told that there was an additional piece of plywood. The quote wasn't broken down to me. I just got, "This is the total figure that it will cost." Then, throughout the process, I was told by the guy that did the installation that they had quoted me for a piece of plywood. Then, I was told that we didn't need that piece of plywood and that he was going to talk to someone and I'd be reimbursed for the plywood. I called Empire and they were telling me that it was never in the quote and there's no reimbursement. So, there was a little disconnect there. My recommendation would be to ensure that when they give someone a quote, they let them know what's in that quote because I still feel in my heart that I was charged for plywood that I didn't use. It's just water under the bridge now.
As far as the quality of the products, it is good. Everything looks good. I feel like the installation guy took his time and did the diligence. The first time he did it, he unrolled the thing. There was a big crack in the floor. So, he wasn't able to put that floor in there and he called someone and they were able to get a new floor on the truck for the next day and he came out and got it done. I recommend Empire. I used them in the past and my parents used them. So, I don't have any real issues with Empire.

The install went great. It's the baseboards and the 3/4 round they put up against the old baseboards. Looks bad. Where the door trim meets the floor there is a gap due to the carpet more no longer there. They said that's on us to fix. We spent nearly 14,000.00 and they offer no solution.

Everything went well with Empire. The installers were great. They're very precise. They're experts at what they did. The product was great. They sold Empire's product to the tee, and they made it look as good as it could. The only thing is the salesman was a little flaky, but it is what it is. He didn't tell me about the baseboards. I was trying to get the baseboards done right away, and he would never answer the phone. We had the baseboards removed, and then I called back to try to get my baseboards put in, but Empire won’t come back out because it wasn’t part of the original job. So, I said, “I'll pay for it.” They still didn't wanna do it, so I had to go to another subcontractor to get that done.

I had a very good experience with Empire. I would use them again. I was doing a search on the web for floors and carpets and they had specials once in a while. Also, a lady that was painting at my house told me that her parents used Empire too one time and they were happy with them. I used them and I was happy with them. I had carpeting installed. I like it and the colors can go with just about anything. The installers were very efficient. They got in and got out and that was it. I'll probably be using Empire. I have more projects to do as soon as I save up my money. They are great.

We had a better experience with the sales consultant from Empire. We purchased LVP, carpeting, and laminate. They did their services on the main level of our house and in the basement. On the installation day, they came to do the LVP first. The installers were not professional at all. They were complaining the entire time about the product and the location that they had to put it in. They were here for a total of seven hours. Then, upon completion, when I did the walkthrough, the work was really bad. The cuts that were made along the edges were really choppy and not straight. They didn't finish putting the cord around down, and then they left debris on top of the original flooring. So, in some spots, you could feel solid pieces of wood or something underneath the new floor.
I contacted Empire about it and that was such a drawn-out process. They just finished the repair and it's been about three months. I had called probably a total of 20 times and got the same answer. They kept promising to rebook service, then we would rebook, and the person would call off. So, they would cancel and have to reschedule again. Then, they booked four appointments without even telling me. I would be at work and we'd have installation people sitting in our driveway and I'd have to send them home because I was at work. I couldn't come and let them in. We called corporate. I had to communicate through the Better Business Bureau with them because I couldn't rely on speaking to somebody over the phone anymore. So, we had filed a complaint with BBB.
They did a decent job with the laminate, and then the carpet installers did a good job with the carpet. It's just the LVP flooring that's in the basement. We did have someone come out last Wednesday to get that fixed. So, it does look a lot better. I would not recommend Empire for anything. I would tell others not to consider it. I wrote a review on their Google reviews page and they had commented back saying that they were going to call me and I never got a call back above the review I left.

The quality of the product at Empire Today is better, and they matched the price of the other quote. I got my carpet replaced to luxury vinyl plank in my main rooms then I got new carpet in the bedrooms. The process went well and I love my new flooring.

The salesman did a very good job but I wasn’t very happy with the people who came to put the carpet in. They did not do a good job moving my furniture. They scratched the walls. They had a hard time putting it back together. I was totally unimpressed with the installation. I don't know that I would use Empire Today again because of that.

We called Empire Today and made an appointment for them to do work on our house in Hunter, New York. They did a fabulous job. They brought us a new wall-to-wall carpeting. Then we hired them for a job in our New Jersey home. That was wall-to-wall carpeting and some hardwood flooring. They did a fabulous job with that as well. We had carpet put on our stairs and the basement two months ago. The installation was okay, but I did not like that they cut my carpet face down on my driveway. It didn't cause any damage, but they should have put some sort of protective thing down. Luckily, I didn't have any oil stains in my driveway. However, the biggest issue I’ve had is the adjustment on the price. Apparently, a manager called me back. He texted me and said he would take care of it, but he did no follow-up. I ended up having to do all the follow up on my own and that was the most frustrating part. In the end, the price got adjusted by Empire Today's online sales team, but it was a lot of effort and stress on my part.

We did the living room and a hallway in March, then we did another bedroom in April. Installation was very fast. The first time, it was done in one day. The second time, because it was only one room, it was half a day. They were very efficient. They were also very friendly and they did a good job, except for a minor thing. However, they came over and fixed the problem and everything is fine. We're very pleased with the flooring. It is excellent.

Anybody could get a hold of a tech because Empire Today did good. If something's not right, the guy will come back out and make sure it's right. The company messed up on the rug three times, and they finally got my right rug to bring out. I made the guy come back out, and I showed him what I wanted. I said, “This better be on the truck when they come out here this time.” They brought the carpet out and everything was out in the hallway so they could install it. The workers took their time and laid it in a couple hours, and they were really good. They were really nice, sweet and courteous. The carpeting is also pretty good, and I like it.

We had tile and it was uneven, so we needed new flooring to even it all out. We got a certain flooring that looks like wood, but it's not wood. It clicks in place, and Empire Today said it had a lifetime guarantee. I told my mom we should have shopped around because the price for these floorings was way too much. My niece got the exact same flooring and installed it herself at $4,000 cheaper. Other than that, install day was great. They finished in two days, but on the first day, they got a lot done so fast. The new flooring is beautiful, and it's so much easier to clean compared to what we had.

I wasn't happy with the floor they installed in my kitchen. They put something against my baseboard for the floor to expand and shrink and my ugly baseboards are showing as pieces they put next to it. Also, they were going to tear out the linoleum at first and then they said my floor is so strong, they’re gonna put it on top of the linoleum. But there were two holes in the linoleum and after they were done, you could feel where it sunk in the places that had the holes. It took about three weeks for them to come and fix it.

I had a very bad experience with Empire and I have been fighting with them since May when I got new floors. The salesman that came out really sweet-talked me and convinced me how great the company was. I went with them and I loved everything I picked out. The salesman told me he gave me a good price. I was very angry with the salesman because while he was putting it on his computer, he had told them I had heavy furniture and that I needed at least two to three people to help me. I live alone and I'm 67 years old.
When the guy came out, he didn't work for Empire. He had told me Empire doesn't have their own installers anymore and they use outside people. The guy was 29 years old. He tried for over three hours to get someone to help him. I ended up helping him move my furniture, which was very upsetting. The salesman said to me, “I'm really, really sorry. I'm with a customer now. But if you need someone, you can call me back.” We tried but there was no answer.
The installer guy was here in the morning and he did not leave until almost eight o'clock at night. He was very tired. I love the floors because I picked them out the way I wanted them. But the guy was having problems putting the molding because I have molding already on my floors. After it was all done, my family decided we were getting together and so they were coming to my house for Memorial Day. My brother is a big guy and when he went through the kitchen to go get some food, the molding around the area between my dining area and my living area were sticking out. It split his foot wide open and he got 20 stitches.
I have had three appointments and nobody has come out. I was to have somebody come out on Wednesday. Someone called me and he was the same installer that messed up my floors. I got mad. I called Empire again and said, “Why are you giving me the same guy that was alone that messed up my floors? I want someone new.” They said, “No, we do not do that. Bottom line is we're sorry, we do not do that. We have to send out the same one that did it.” I was mad about that.
That same guy was supposed to come out on Wednesday. But he called me and he said, “I'm really sorry but I have been on a job for two days in Hamtramck, and there's no way I can get to you. But I promise you, in the morning, I will be here eight o'clock in the morning.” That was fine and I was going to wait for him. He called me that night. He had to go to Chicago out of town because of one of his relatives was getting married so I was screwed again. I called Empire again and they told me somebody would call me within 24 hours. That was yesterday and I've heard from no one.
So far, they have canceled five appointments. I'm going to have a problem with the bank too because I'm not going to pay my balance on this $4,000. My balance is 799. Why am I going to pay it if Empire can't fix that? They're the ones that sent somebody out. This was for the laminate flooring in the living room, dining room and hall. The salesman sain, “I feel really bad. I'm going to send you a gift card to go and have dinner on me.” But I never heard from him again and I never got a gift card. I have texted him about it too. Nobody is even wanting to talk to me because it's so bad.

The sales rep I had was awesome. She came on Mother's Day in the morning and was right on time. She was super thorough and we spent a long time going through the different options for everything. The installers put in a vinyl floor upstairs and they were here on time. They worked all day, came back the next day, finished up, and cleaned up. Everything was perfect. They moved all kinds of furniture and exercise equipment. It was really good. No problem. I love the flooring. It's very easy to clean. The experience with Empire was quick, easy and efficient.

We bought luxury laminate flooring from Empire Today and we love it. The quality is good. But we have a couple of dogs and with the design I purchased, sometimes, I have a hard time telling whether something is dirt on the floor or just part of the floor. Other than that, the installation took about three hours because the installers were initially going to put the flooring over the other floor and decided it would be better if they took it up. And they found out that there were two other layers under the floor. But they got that all up, evened everything out, and got the new flooring down. The gentleman we dealt with was very professional even though they got a little frustrated when we found out there were two other floorings underneath. But they were so nice about it and they did a wonderful job.

Our sales rep was good. We ended up getting hardwood flooring for my downstairs and the laminate flooring for the bathroom upstairs. The flooring was installed by Empire. The installers took much longer downstairs than we expected but they did a good job. For the bathroom, they did fine. There was only one thing I didn't like. I also did the hallway upstairs with hardwood and they came and took the rest of my material. I didn't really appreciate that. Overall, it was okay and I like the flooring a lot.

Empire Today had the carpet that we liked, a Berber, and their price seemed fair. The installers came in, tore out the old carpet and padding, installed the new ones, and moved the heavy pieces of furniture around. They cleaned everything up. They did a good job. It took four hours.

The sales rep was very nice though we were not given much time alone to discuss whether we wanted to make the purchase. We knew we were in the market for new carpet but we wanted to talk financially to see if we were ready to commit to such a large purchase, but she was just there and saying that maybe we'd need a few minutes to discuss it. She stepped out to her car for maybe two minutes and then was right back in here. From a sales point, the whole thing is to not give people time. We got new carpeting and our billing was simple. We didn’t have any problems with Empire Today.
The installation team was fast. We painted our house before they got here and we pushed our install date back to make sure we got all of our painting done. But when they were ripping the carpet out, they scratched up a lot of our walls. It was just not large areas. But it was little scratches everywhere. So, we had to go back through and repaint. Also, when they ripped up the old carpet, they should have brought a ShopVac and cleaned up some of the dust and dirt that's underneath the old padding. I don't necessarily know that they did that. It just seemed like a very messy process. But in the end, they got the installation done very quickly and it looks good. They did a good job.

There's just one glitchy thing and that was that the installers had to cut the carpet in the front yard and left a lot of pieces lying around on the grass and the porch. They didn't clean that all up when they left. But other than that, my experience is good. My husband loves our flooring and he lays on it all the time. It looks great too.

The quality is much better than other brands. On the installation day, I was called ahead of time. The tech told me the estimated time that he'd be here. Everything went well and they were very polite. The flooring has improved the look of the home in general. But the kitchen flooring has really made it stand out. I would recommend Empire. They are a company with longevity.

Floor was installed last year. Started cracking and coming up just over a year later--so warranty had expired. A guy called us in Feb to offer us a discount on future floors. I told him, "No thank you because the floor started coming apart less than a year later." He was nice and apologetic and said we should contact the warranty team to see if an exception could be made & transferred me--it was HIS idea that maybe something can be done to help us. The person we got transferred to said they had to escalate up to find out more. Okay no problem...We never heard back. I then got an email saying they have attempted to call me so please contact them...so I did. The woman who answered told me the case had been closed (I had gotten the email literally 2 hours before calling).
They had been trying to contact me at an incorrect number. She said she would open another case, gave me the new case number and fixed all my contact information...My husband then got a voicemail (so they did NOT mix contact info) saying sorry there's nothing they can do since it's out of warranty...originally we were annoyed but now after all the hoops and feeling ignored, we will not be able to recommend Empire Today to anyone. The floor is so bad now that my husband needs to replace it. A waste of time and money.

I have a main house and an in-law apartment so there are a few rooms that got carpeting and we've been using Empire Today for that. The experience from the sales guy down to the guys they send over do the installs are great. We get the job done quickly and there's not a lot of waiting to get the stuff done. The quality is perfect and I have no complaints. On a list of 1 through 10, Empire is 10. They've been awesome. Every time we need carpeting done or anything in the house, we give them a shot.

When I saw the price of the flooring, I said that I was getting carpeting. But then, my husband walked in the door and he told me to just get it done. It was gonna cost us a lot of money but we should put value into the home. He and the salesman were back and forth, and it was done in eight seconds. The salesman was good. I was a little nervous the day of the installation because I have to go online and I have to read everything to see the pros and cons and everybody has to say about it. There weren't a lot of issues. There were just a couple where the installers didn't show up on time or they didn't show. So that was always in the back of my mind. But today, they did arrive and got here on time, and started the project. They gave me a five-hour window because it was a decent-sized project and they were done in less than four. The cleanup was perfect and everything looks beautiful. I signed off on it. They were quick, neat and nice.
The only problem I had after the floors were installed was closing those two bedroom doors. They didn't align right or they just didn't shut. Other than that, the flooring went in perfectly. I got laminate flooring in two bedrooms, one very large bedroom and one much smaller bedroom. I like the floors’ cleanliness, openness and beauty. They're good-looking floors.

Empire Today had the colors I wanted. The price is good. I love my floor. I love the color. It matches what I wanted to have. The only thing I'm upset with them about is I wanted the floor nailed down ahead of time so it didn't squeak, and it squeaks like hell. They said they couldn't do that. Other than that, the installation went great. They were quick. I've been telling everybody that I was very happy with Empire. I liked my saleslady a lot, and I certainly would recommend her, too, for the company because she was outstanding.

We had our floors done April 2021. Love the look but by October we had an area that was coming apart and the corners of the planks were chipping. Only 6 months after installation but they deemed it not covered under warranty so we paid $550 to fix. Now the same area is doing the same thing. Trying to contact them again to resolve this issue.

Empire's sales rep was really awesome. He gave me kind of his recommendation. I was a little leery. I'm very inexperienced with that kind of stuff. I know what I like as far as looks, and my mom was here to help me pick, too. The rep guided me and there was no pressure, which I really appreciated. I ended up doing what he recommended and I love it. I liked him.
The installers were pretty quiet but they were good. They did their thing. I asked a few questions, and they answered them. I did ask them how long they thought it would take, and they had said it would be three hours. It did end up six hours which was not a big deal but they did have to leave because they didn't have enough of one of the materials. That was about an hour. Everything else was great.

They cleaned up whatever was there prior to them installing the new carpet. They prepared it and laid the new carpet nicely. Everything was perfect. I had a very good experience. I liked the way Empire presented and they seemed to have it together. The sales rep was doing everything to help me get the best flooring that I could for a good price. I had carpeting in the bedroom and laminated tile in the bathroom installed. During installation, I was surprised because, when they came to install the hard flooring, there were two workers that didn't speak English, and then they had a translator. But they did a good job. I had a problem with the toilet and they made it clear what I needed to do and we worked that out. When the carpet came, there were two guys and they both spoke English. They did a great job and did it quickly. I like the carpet because it doesn't show when you walk. There aren't too many carpets that do that.

We had carpet through the whole house and we had the vinyl tile put in the kitchen. When the installers put the strip that goes over from the kitchen to the carpet in the living room, it was a little plastic strip that was supposed to clip down into a track, and they didn't put the track down. They didn't have it so the guy used some kind of caulk adhesive and tried to glue it on top of the carpet. It was horrible. But other than that, everything was great and Empire already gave us a small refund to get it fixed.

My experience with Empire went fairly well. The workers were superb, polite, clean and helpful. They did a lot of trying to do a lot of leveling the floor. They had the wrong house number but soon got it corrected. There was also something wrong with the quote that they gave me, but they fixed that almost immediately before I signed anything. They also ran out of material. They were short half a box of flooring. They didn't call me back real quick on that. But they came back two days later and finished the floor. They cleaned up after themselves and did a wonderful job.

Empire did my floor. I have vinyl planks. The first time they sent someone out, it was the people that laid the plank. They took it up in front of my stove and said I’ve got moisture under there and that maybe I got a foundation leak. But I never have had one. They had to take tile off my floor where they used a hammer and they laid some little cement. They said that was to even the floor up. I said I don’t have a leak and they took those pieces up and put a new piece back in the same spot. That buckled back up the next day.
They sent their inspector out and he said they need to replace the floor. He thinks the wood was bad. Also, they didn’t put any underlayment up under this and he said they should have done that. I’ve been trying to get someone to come out here and look at this. I called dozens of times. I’ve called Empire in Texas, where I live, and I tried calling the Empire main office in Chicago, but when I hook up, I'm still hooked up with Texas. The customer service rep that I talked to wanted to charge me $7,000 to $8,000 to repair and do the same job that they did the first time.

I didn’t have a very good experience with Empire. The sales agent was fine as they usually are. It’s the follow-up that I had an issue with. I had hardwood floors put in a year and a half ago, and maybe within the first month of my floors being installed in my kitchen, I had an issue because the boards were separating. They were popping apart. I called them and they came out and told me that they were settling and they tapped them back in place. But over the course of several months, it just spread throughout my kitchen where I would get large separations of where the boards were supposed to click together.
I made four different appointments with Empire to come out and find out what was going on. In each of those instances, nobody showed up or called. It was very frustrating to me to the point that I went to the Better Business Bureau because I was very unhappy. I spent almost $10,000 worth of products in my house and I felt the customer service was terrible.
They ultimately came out one evening and they did what they had done when I first got the floors put in. They had a rubber mallet and were ready to tap them back in place, and they wanted to charge me $200 to do that. I said, ”I'm not paying a dime. I paid for these floors. I have been begging for someone to come out and tell me what the problem is. And now you want me to pay you? I'm not paying anything." I know how to tap them back in place. That was what I've been doing for a year, which is why I'm frustrated. I did not pay them. I did not let them do anything with my floors because I knew what to do. They told me that they are floating floors, which I've never heard of. There was nothing really that they could do. So, I'm unhappy with the results I've gotten. I've given them a lot of business but I'm very unhappy with the service that I've received. I didn't feel that I was of any value to them once they got my money.

We had our floors done in December and it's been a nightmare. It was supposed to be a two-day job and it turned out to be a four-day job. When your whole house is disrupted and furniture is shoved in corners, it is a big deal. It was also at Christmastime. Empire sent half the crew that they said they would send that's why it took double the time and no one spoke English. When you're doing a job in customer service, you should probably be able to communicate with the American population when you're working here. It was challenging to say the least. There were things that were simply not communicated. There was a piece that was broken and a piece that was unfinished. When you're trying to communicate that to someone who doesn't understand what you're saying, you run into problems.
When trying to get anyone on the phone at Empire's customer service department, trying to send emails, and call the numbers they tell you to call, these fell on deaf ears. I couldn't even get anyone to return my call. We were going three weeks after "completion" to get them to come out and finish the job and to mend the broken pieces. It came to a point that I had to actually take negative actions by leaving negative reviews to get them to give a damn about coming out and fixing the issues.
It's been five months since we've had the floors done. Recently, we went through the same challenges because we had some floorboards separating. These were supposed to have 20-year warranty. I would expect many years before we'd see things like chipping or separations. It was the same nightmare. I spent probably nine days, consecutively, trying to get ahold of someone through email, phone, Facebook Messenger, and any desperate measure I could take to get someone to pay attention my concern. For $11,000, I want better quality and better service. We're right back to no attentiveness, no response, nothing.
I went to the Better Business Bureau and left negative responses where they needed to be to get them to call me. They called me a few days ago and sent someone out to fix the issue. It's resolved now but under no circumstance should you have to take those kind of measures to get a single phone call back. I'm in real estate and all day long, I have clients ask me for my recommendations. Empire will never be one of them.

I had overspent as far as buying materials from Empire Today, and it took longer than expected. They said it would take two days, but it took four days. The installation was great though. They did a good job. They put dark wooden panels in my kitchen, living room, and dining room. The quality is nice and the material was in good shape. I would recommend someone to Empire, but I would try to get all the facts first because I might end up spending a little extra money than what the price started off.

The rep was a nice gentleman. Six months ago, I had carpet put in the basement by Empire. The techs were there a little late, past 6 o’clock in the evening and they didn’t leave till 11:00. One person spoke somewhat English but I just let them do their thing. It's just that that took up the whole day, from morning till night. The quality of the work was good. The look and feel of my flooring have been my favorite. The padding on it seems pretty thick.
The only thing I noticed is that when I was vacuuming in the sunroom, I saw the carpet starting to pull up near the wall. Other than that, I liked how everything was done in a day and I was very happy with it. I definitely recommend Empire. For just the basement and steps, I thought it was a little higher-priced, but I am happy with it.

The person that came to the house to show us the products was really super nice and he knew a lot of information. He knew what he was talking about. He had been doing it for a while. The carpet selection choices were really, really good. The price of the flooring we were considering for the basement was way out of what we were hoping to spend. So we didn't end up going that route. But we had the carpet installed in the master bedroom and the installers were good. They were in and out and they were careful about the surroundings and moving the furniture that we had there and putting it back. They also cleaned up everything really well. I really like the carpet. It's a huge improvement.

I called Empire, and by the next day, I had an appointment, luckily, for someone to come and do the estimate. By the following day, I had started the floor. It was so quick. Everything took me five days, which was really unbelievable. The installation was about three days. The crew that I got was really great and knew what they were doing. I would definitely recommend Empire. Not only was the service good, but the work was also done properly. The guys who did it, starting from the person that came out to do the initial estimates, to the workmen who came, went above and beyond to make sure the job was done properly. Even stuff that I didn't know about, they made sure and pointed it out to make sure that the job was done. They didn't take any shortcuts. I really appreciate that.

Everything went great with Empire. I take care of an elderly man in the retirement park where I live and he needed his floors done, so I got ahold of Empire. He did ceramic tile in the living room area, the first time. The second time, he had laminate flooring put in the bedroom. The experience with the sales reps went smoothly. The first time, we had a gentleman. The second time, we had a woman. They were professional. We knew what we wanted, so it didn't take a whole lot of time. Brought in their samples, we picked them out, and they were gone. The first time, the installers had to come back the next day. It was a larger job for the ceramic tile. But they were in and out quickly. A little bit hard to understand, ‘cause they're not American, but they were professional. The flooring is very nice. We're very pleased with it. With the ceramic tile, you got to deal with grout and it's very level and nice. They did a great job.

I like the Empire salesman and his detail of how the installation would go and the warranty, too. I’m very happy with the products and the installation. It went very well. We had three of the best installers I've ever seen. They took their time on the molding and on their cuts. They didn't waste a lot of products. They were very clean and polite. It was an excellent experience and I was expecting horrors. But we were very happily surprised. I purchased the engineered hardwood flooring for the whole house and it's excellent. Everything was great with the carpeting and the flooring that were put in by Empire Today. The service, the timing, the price and the quality were great. We were happy with everything. We were told by Empire, “Yeah, if you commit today, we can be out next week.” These other companies would say, “Well, if you commit today, it could be another three weeks that we put the order in, it'd be three weeks before we get it, and then another two weeks for scheduling.” We weren't willing to commit to something that we didn't even know. We were on a time crunch and wanted to get it done before Christmas last year and Empire definitely helped us get it done well ahead of schedule.

I had the carpet on our family room taken off and Empire Today installed the new flooring. I kept the tiles on the kitchen and the installers put an edge division between the tile and the new flooring. They said not to step on it for a couple of days, which we did. We let that dry but we still hear cracking when we step on the edges. It's not exactly the panels, because those latch ones with the other ones. At the beginning, we could hear the crack a little, but it's settled already with that flooring. I don't think the edge division is settled all the way and it's been since December. Maybe it needs a bit more glue.
Even sometimes when I'm mopping, some of the corners are not completely closed. We have to be really careful when we're mopping because the lint goes in there. Other than that, I'm really happy and we really love our flooring. It gives a lot of good presentation to our house and it's awesome. We want to keep doing changes in our house because it looks nice.

I had Empire do my carpet five years ago. This time, when the salesman came, he had very limited choices. I would have gone for some expensive carpet, but he didn't have it. I needed the carpet, so I took whatever sample he gave me. I cannot complain about the product because it was our choice. However, he provided a timing between 1:00 and 4:00, and the installer said that he had too many jobs to do that day, so he came after 4:00 pm. When a guy comes after three jobs, he's tired and you don't expect him to do a good job. I don't see anything wrong so far, but when you're tired, you take more time.
The installer finished after 8:00 pm, and I've been waiting since 1 o'clock. Why give them so many jobs to do in a day? Empire has to understand that it's not nice to keep a customer waiting. Even they have their four-hour period and if they couldn't come after that period, I could've canceled the order. I'm not completely dissatisfied though. It's not like we don't appreciate their craftmanship or I've put a cross mark on their company. I'm still using the same company, and even now, my son is having carpet installed by them. However, these are things that could be improved on.

I had originally wanted luxury vinyl on my first floor, but the turnaround time for that was going to be way too long. The salesperson was friendly enough. My carpets weren't installed the day that they were supposed to be. They said that the carpets didn't make it to the truck. So, they came the next day and the guys who installed it were good.

We purchased a carpet from Empire and had it installed in our main living room and in one of our dens. They did well. At first, we were gonna get a PERGO wood. But then they took it all out and our slab was uneven. It'd cost too much to get a contractor to smooth them out. So, we decided to go to carpet. Empire was great. They told us everything. They were very professional. They cleaned up their mess and did a perfect job. Everything looks great. I like the softness because we got good padding.

The Empire salesperson was good to work with. He was knowledgeable and he was very helpful as far as helping me with decisions, prices, etc. That part of things went well. The part that I was unhappy with was the installation crew that came. There was nothing wrong with installation per se as far as their workmanship. I had moved into this new apartment the week before and I left all my furniture in another room in order to have the room empty for the crew to do the carpet work. The salesman originally told me, “That would be great if you could leave it in another room. This way, when they come, they don't have to move any furniture.”
I made it easy for the crew by not having to put my furniture into the rooms that they were supposed to carpet and I left it open for them to come and do the carpeting. I was told that would save a lot of time. In return, the crew would go ahead and put the furniture back. The installation was also done very professionally. But as soon as the crew finished, they ran out. They weren't willing to move the furniture back into the room claiming that they have other jobs to do. I'm really unhappy with the fact that they didn't finish the job properly. I ended up having to hire other people to come after they did the carpeting work and move the furniture back into the room that the Empire crew was supposed to do.
I called up the salesman and he also said that, yes, they were supposed to move the furniture back and to call a certain number for customer service and complain about it. I called up and they took my information. Somebody else called and they apologized. But an apology doesn't repay for the money that I had to spend to hire other people to do the job that the Empire installers did not do. Either they were lazy or they were in a rush to do another job, but that's really not the right way to do business. I’ve used Empire Today in every residential place I had before in the past. This was the third or the fourth time I used them. They're not gonna get my business in the future. I'm a retailer myself and the most important thing in retail is to keep your customers satisfied. If I don't take care of my customers and give them good value, they're not gonna come back to me every week. That's the only way you can stay in business.

I had some rugs installed in three bedrooms and a walkway by Empire. I also had some hardwood flooring on my stairs and one of my bedroom, which I make an office. Their price was reasonable. Their sales rep was very thorough. The installation didn't happen right away though. I was very disappointed because this was supposed to happen before Christmas and it didn't happen until after the New Year. They didn't have the product. It was a wait in there. I also wanted flooring on a walkway and I couldn't have the flooring done because the floor was uneven. They told me I have to get a contractor to get the floor even before they put the wood flooring for me. So, I had no choice but to put back a rug in that. But that was the only part I was disappointed with.

We loved our installation. It was great. We had a new rug and new wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedroom, the hallway, and the den and stairs. They brought the wrong color of the rug. So, they had to come back. It was a different team that came back and they banged it out in the day. They did a great job with the least amount of hassle. They made light work of it. They were really professional. I like everything about the flooring from Empire so far.

Empire Today was great. The salesman came to the house, had the samples and was very professional. It was really easy, and the price was good. They also set it up pretty quickly to come here and do it back in December and the work was done nicely. It was two men that came on a Saturday and worked the whole day. They were neat. I'm very pleased, and I would definitely use them again.

The representatives that Empire has are top-notch but installation is difficult. I've worked with them twice and both teams that I worked with primarily did not speak English. They had extremely poor communication skills as to when they were arriving and how long the procedure is going to take. The first time I worked with them, they said the installation would take a half day and it ended up taking from like 9:00 in the morning until 7:00 or 8:00 at night. I lost an entire day because nobody could explain to me how long it was going to take.
The second time I worked with them, I don't think they had us on their docket for the day. We waited all day for them and they didn't show up till 4:00 in the afternoon and worked until 8 o'clock at night. They completely screwed my entire day because there was no communication. They've got to do something to improve this installation piece. They sell and they have good salespeople and good products but I can't recommend them.

We enjoyed working with the Empire and love the flooring. It's exactly what we had selected. The workmanship is very nice. The gentlemen that came in laid the floor. They made the floor look so very beautiful. There's no lifting and all the corners are nicely closed out. There was a slight discrepancy with our financing though. We thought that we were under a longer contract term and we didn't receive our contract until much later. When we received the contract, the contract had us under a shorter payment plan. We had to double up our payments in order to meet the 18-month requirement. That made it a hardship for us. Now, we are paying about $500 a month, which is way out of our budget.
If we would have known that we had an 18-month contract, we may not have went with Empire. But we didn't have a choice because the floor was already installed. We tried to talk with Empire to see if they could talk with the finance company. The finance company was okay if we got a different term, but they needed to get that term agreement from the company. But Empire would not change the contract. They should have given us the contract and let us sign it the day we made the agreement to have them to come in and install the floor.

This has been one of the worst home improvement projects I have ever had to deal with. If they came at all, two different installation crews either ordered the wrong materials, installed the wrong product, the cord around had to re-installed or is the wrong color. Major portions and it is still not correctly installed after OVER 1 yr. When I call, I cannot get anyone in customer serv. to answer, I will most likely have to file a complaint with the BBB. I am curious to see if this company will live up to the standards of customer satisfaction that it has purported to. If I could give zero stars at this point, I would. I truly hope Empire Today is a quality company that will stand behind its products and people. I would say that this has been a comedy of errors, but I see no comedy in this situation.

Two years ago, they did a good job with a carpeting. I did the kitchen flooring in the last month and they did a good job with that too. The installation was very good and the quality of the product is excellent. They follow through on what they say they're gonna do.

I had carpet installed in my family room by Empire. I noticed that after we walked across the carpet a couple of times, the padding underneath it split apart. But I couldn't find it right away again. But I think it's just the type of carpet I have and it being installed on the tile. I don't think it had anything to do with the workmanship of the folks. They did a good job and they were quick and clean.

When Empire came, they had a great deal. We went with them prior. They did our basement a couple of years ago. We like their work ethic, their prices, and their quality. We had laminate flooring installed most recently. The installation was amazing. They did a hell of a job. It was like a group of four guys, and they got here at 8:30. They were done about five hours later. They crushed it. Overall, Empire is super professional. There's no pressure to buy their product. The salesman was completely fantastic. He came on Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, the installers showed up and put our flooring. You can't beat that.

I had a bedroom carpet installed. So far, it's good. The two gentlemen that came in to install were very good. They took the carpet and put it in and they found that there was black mold on the back of the carpeting, which I would have never known was there. These two gentlemen said, "We can't install this," to which I give Empire a great deal of credit. The next day, they came back with new carpeting and it's been fine.

I like that Empire Today comes to one's house. We had them install carpet on two entire floors, and there were a few odds and ends, but they did a nice job. The carpet met my expectations. They also put things back where they were, the best they could have.

I've gone through them before and I had a good experience so I went back when I was replacing the carpet. The reps were helpful in my decision and the installation went good. I had some hardwood put down first and then the carpeting and it was all within a week. The carpet is coming up a little bit around the transfer strip but the rest of it is going good.

Everything was fine with Empire. They put the carpet exactly where it needed to be. I would have appreciated it if they went all the way to the wall but they said they couldn't because the flooring was uneven. But it's fine. Other than that, I would recommend Empire because they came quickly. It was efficient, they didn't make noise, and they cleaned up. It was pretty convenient and their value is great.

Two sales reps came, and they were very professional, people-oriented, and did real good service. I had laminate flooring for the entire downstairs, then upstairs is carpeted. The installers came at 9:45 and worked all day for the flooring downstairs. They wanted to stay till 8 o'clock that night, but that wasn't good for me. I told them that they came late. If they had gotten there a little earlier, they would have been able to finish that. It was no problem though. The guy understood and came back the next day. He thought he was gonna be finished in an hour or two, but it ended up being four hours. That, still, was fine. A couple of days later, the carpeting people came and they were able to complete the carpeting in one day. The quality of the work was wonderful, and the installers cleaned up everything outside and inside.
My neighbor next door passed by and saw something going on, but he didn't know what it was. After everything was completed, he texted me, “You were having some work done over at the house?” I said, “Yeah.” I told him what I did, and he said, “Were they expensive?” I didn't wanna say that Empire Today was expensive because I didn't know what he was looking for. I told him, “You’re welcome to look.” They came over, and they were real pleased with it. A week after the install was completed, my nephew passed and I ended up having people into the house. People thought, “This is not the same house that we used to come and hook to. It’s taken on a different look.” It's a good look. The house brightened up and it looks newer.

Beware of Empire. Follow these tips before signing ANYTHING. Let my lessons be your advance notice. If you are considering Empire Today, follow this 2 step process before signing or paying anything:
2. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and price out similar product.
What I found was that I was charged ~$13 per square foot of flooring (installed) and Lowes had similar stuff (if not superior) for $2 per square foot. Obviously, Lowes price did not include installation, but no installation would ever be $11.00 a square foot for vinyl or carpet. Let my expensive lesson be a lesson to you. DON’T OVERPAY!
Read more about my terrible experience below: I wish I would have researched this company's reviews before spending almost $8,000 for only 4 small rooms and a small hallway of flooring. We set up a meeting and wanted carpet or laminate flooring. Somehow during the sales process, we were convinced to buy Vinyl flooring instead. I can only guess that Empire and the salesperson were pushing Vinyl because it results in a higher profit margin for the company and/or sales person’s commission because from a quality standpoint, I can tell you that what they sold us was is pretty bad. Nevertheless, we were convinced to buy something other than what we wanted and we were convinced based on a sample that conveniently did not show what the end of the locking mechanism looked like for each board.
I say "conveniently" because the end locking mechanism is so thin that when I finally saw it on delivery day, I immediately knew I did not want this product. Yet, for some reason, Empire decided not to show that portion in the samples. IN other words, Empire arguably concealed the cheapest looking part of the product they sold us by not including it on the sample piece. They try to justify this by arguing that they cannot carry entire boards around for all product. Yet, no one asked them to do that. All I asked that they show the most important part of the samples (the end locking mechanism). This stuff is so bad. It's like walking on a tarp.
Furthermore, instead of showing you arguably the most important part of the material (i.e., the lock that holds it together at the ends), Empire shows you what the middle of the material would look like if you cut it open. Why in the world would someone need to know what the middle looks like and why would they show you the middle instead of the end locking mechanism? One theory is that they do this so that you won't see how cheap looking and fragile the material really looks. Other theories are smoke and mirrors, concealment, disguising, etc.
I spoke with corporate about the issue and, like I said, her answer was more or less just, "well, we cannot carry around entire pieces." But she did not have an answer for why they can’t just carry a small piece that has arguably the most important piece to the material on it for inspection prior to sale. Alas, it is what it is I guess. I now have what I consider overpriced cheap floors that I did not want, all because Empire chose to show me what the material looks like in the middle if someone sliced it in half instead of what holds the front and back of the pieces together.

Their installers were amazing. They made the installation so easy for me. I don't like people coming to my home and I felt like I could trust them. They were decent, very nice, and knowledgeable. Also, the quality of the product is good. The only thing was I mistook the price and when I got the bill, it was more than I thought the sales rep quoted me. But they didn't give a receipt. They email it all. I called the company and explained and they said there was nothing that they could do.

Purchasing was easy, and the carpet installation went fine. Sales guy was good, and the installation crew was nice and courteous. In a few hours, they were done. However, my wife has debated though whether or not to call to have them come back because there's one corner that’s loose. Other than that, it was fine. I was happy. We’re surprised how things increased in price from the last time, but that's normal. The quality was good too.

We’ve used Empire before for the first floor of our house. This time, we’ve purchased carpeting for our second floor and our staircase. The salesperson and the installation were great. The contractors were nice and helpful. We love the flooring. It’s a great quality carpet and padding. But I didn’t expect to spend almost $6,000 on the carpet for 1,200 square feet.

The Empire sales rep was very knowledgeable, showed us a lot of different things and he was great. The two guys showed up for installation. I had already taken a lot of the stuff that I could handle out of the room, and then they helped me move the bed in the bureau and they went to town. The knives came out and they started cutting and rolling. It was awesome. I like the color of the new flooring. It looks very clean, crisp and modern. I also love the texture when you walk on it barefoot.

The Empire salesman was excellent. He had tons of samples, which I liked because I could put them up against my furniture and see what I was gonna like as far as the coloring went. The service was excellent. When the guys came, they were very professional and hard working. I love the flooring because I had hardwood. I liked that it doesn't scratch. It's so easy to clean and install. I also liked that they put molding down on top of the flooring. I also had used Empire many years ago for my bedrooms for the carpet and I was happy back then. The Empire salesman was extremely diligent and professional. He gave me a variety of things to look at, different quality, colors, wood, and product. I was very happy with what I chose. They did a very good installation. They worked very hard and did immaculate work. They did two rooms. One room was about 10 by 12 and the other one, a huge closet room. They had to remove a number of things and they did everything. It was spotless when they finished. I was very satisfied with the work. We love the floors. The colors are beautiful and they are wearing well. I have already advised several of my friends that are going to go with a carpet with wood floors to go with Empire.

I had carpet installed from Empire. Had two kinds, textured carpet and one that has a pattern in it. I chose them for three main reasons. One, they had so many install dates available. Even when my project available dates changed, they were able to accommodate me every single time. That's really hard in today's world with so many supply chain issues. Number two, the price was excellent for a very good quality product. It was really good value. Number three was the salesperson. She came to my house and knew exactly what to ask. She had good suggestions. She was very experienced and knowledgeable. All in all, it was a very positive experience all the way.
Installation day was really what I thought it would be. The installer called ahead of time to let me know they were coming, and they showed up when they said they would come. We went over the details. They showed me the order. We looked over the area, and they were ready to get started right away. I got out of the way. I came back a few hours later and everything was done. The quality of the work done was very good. Carpet quality, especially for installation, can vary widely and this held up quite well. It's been a couple of months now since we had it installed and I haven't had any problems with loose threads or any warping or parts coming up. They did a great job.

They have the best prices for the best quality. The installation has been outstanding. This time, we did our basement re-carpeted with the stairs included. I upgraded to that new improved carpet that's made from plastic. It can't be ruined so, it's perfect for someone who lives in my neighborhood and has kids. I'm so pleased with it. It was a little costly, but it was worth every penny.

I had my carpet and flooring installed. They were available soon after I ordered them. I thought they were reputable. Empire Today said they had it in stock. The gentleman that came out was very informative. But they had my towers to my entertainment unit put in a bedroom, and they took them out. Until I sat down that night, I didn't notice that the top and the back were not on. Also, there's still a scratch on my flooring and a spot of a foot by 6 inches that looks dirty on my carpet. And my wall unit has never been put together since January. It has been difficult to get ahold of them. I texted, emailed and called. I got nowhere. I have already recommended Empire Today to someone else and they had some issues with them. We live in a 55 and over community where things are going and they could have a good business here, but they are not proving themselves.
Also, their customer service should be better. There were no phone numbers that you could get, except I went online and found one. And they gave me a work order, and I'm up to six work orders now. I had one lady that called and she said, "Oh, they'll be contacting you within a couple of days." They could have called, but I didn't answer it because I didn't know who it was. Other than that, the product is good.

I liked the Empire salesman better than the person from the other place that came out. I had carpet done in two bedrooms. There were two Spanish-speaking gentlemen that came out for the installation and they were totally awesome. I love the flooring. I wish I had done it a lot sooner. I'm running around barefoot all the time just to walk on the carpet.

I had a tough time getting ahold of my salesman. He wouldn't answer his phone when I needed him but after I finally talked to him, he took care of the problem. If you get the right person to talk to, you get a good job. I had luxury vinyl installed in the laundry room, the kitchen eating area, the living room, the hall and the entryway. The installation went well. We decided about halfway through to take up some of the carpet we had in the dining room and in the living room and that didn't work as well as it should have. We had some delay in the installation because we couldn't get the additional stuff done until I signed off on the additional work and it took some of the installers’ time away. But we finally got it accomplished.

The sales rep from Empire Today answered all my questions and was very helpful. We got what I was looking for. I had carpet taken out in my dining room, living room and down the hall, and had what looks like hardwood put in. During installation, the workers were careful with everything and got it done in a reasonable amount of time with the two workers who were here. So, everything went good. Then, we had an issue. They were putting the transition strips and the guy said that the glue that he had wouldn’t hold it. So, the next morning, the owner of the installing company came and got it fixed right away. The installers did a very good job and I was very pleased. The new flooring looks a whole lot better than the carpet. I'm pleased with my floors and everything went well.
I knew the cost was gonna be expensive and I probably could have gotten it less expensive if I went to Lowe's or Home Depot. But you have to buy the material and get somebody to install it. So, I wanted a complete turn-key job. I went on the 12-month interest-free. I told Empire that I wanted something like that. So, I'm in the process of paying now. So, once I get that done, I'll be good to go.

I'm very upset with both projects they did in my house. The salesman only brought me a handful of products when they were having their sales. I picked vinyl plank which was supposed to look like wood and they put it in my living room, hallway and kitchen. The installer put down two pieces of wood and said, “You're not gonna like this. It doesn't even look like wood when it's finished.” I go, “Really?” And he said, “Oh, yeah. You're not gonna like it.” I said, “Are you sure you just don't want to do it today?” And he said, “Oh, no. No, no, you're not gonna like it.”
So I said, “Well, my sister has flooring, and she got it from Empire. And I like the color.” So he walks over to my sister's house, looks at the flooring, and said, “Oh, yeah. This is nice. This is the one you want." I said, “Well, okay.” And he said, “I'll just go to the warehouse and pick it up.” The salesman called me, all ticked, and asked why didn't I put down the flooring that he'd sold me. I said, “Well, I wanted it to look like wood. And that's not going to.” It was another three weeks before they came with the flooring. The installer was very nice and they did a good job.
Two years later, I called Empire to do a bedroom flooring and I wanted wood. The same salesman I had before said, “Oh, yeah. No problem. I know what that flooring is.” So he wrote me up an estimate for the flooring and for the bathroom. When the man came to do the flooring, it didn't match at all. I said, “I bet they never changed any of the orders. And I bet the salesman who told me, ‘Oh, yeah, I know which one it is,’ didn't know.” So he calls to find out if the same flooring is there. Empire said, “Oh, yeah. They have the same flooring," but it'll be $900 more than my first estimate. At which, I protested because I have an estimate.
The tech couldn't get the flooring and put it down unless I was gonna pay $900. I was very upset with Empire because they weren't following through with their estimate. Then the manager calls me and says, “You know what? I'm not going to charge you $900. I'll just charge you 450.” I go, “Are you freaking nuts? I'm not gonna pay." I didn't get the flooring and I had already started paying in advance. So, I'm not sure if they gave me the right amount of money back. Then I had to find someone else to come in and do the flooring in that room.

I purchased carpeting for the bedrooms and the quality has been good so far. I upgraded the standard carpeting to a better quality carpet that I had originally. The sales rep was informative and helped me to decide on what type to get. Empire Today is competitive. If you ask if they got another price, they'll compete against that. People should try them.

I got solid vinyl planks from Empire Today, and it's been installed over the lower floor for 2,200 square feet. The representative was good and he explained what I needed and I went for it. The installation took three days. The workers were very professional. They did their job every single day. They moved the furniture and they put them back where they were. They summarily kind of cleaned up, but I refined the cleaning. The work looks good, so far. Overall, the project went well.
