    I had carpet replacement in a guest bedroom and the closet with Empire Today. I went to the store and looked at samples then I requested someone to come and do an estimate for me. It was more convenient and affordable. When the sales rep came to my house, he had everything. He was showing me the different options that I had. Two people came for the installation and did it for two hours. The work they did looks nice.

    If someone's gonna get carpeting, online is the easiest way to do it. Empire Today's presentation was really good too. The sales rep had plenty of samples and went over everything in detail. I had carpeting installed in two rooms and it took one day. It didn't start off very well ‘cause the installers didn't know which carpet I ordered, and they may have installed the wrong one. I couldn't remember if the carpet was the one that I chose or not, and I looked forever for the paper for the carpet I ordered, but I couldn't find it. The installers should have known off the bat what carpet I ordered. I was assuming that the carpet would come here already marked, but the installers had to have me come out in the truck to pick it out, which I thought was not very good. They had carpet back there wrapped up with different names on it, some that I went over with them. One installer also spoke hardly any English.

    When the sales rep went over the part about the restretching, I was informed that was an additional fee. I thought, “Well, how long is it gonna be before it needs restretching?” However, a couple of weeks after the carpet was installed, I noticed a little ridge forming in the carpet in the bedroom. I knew it was gonna cost me to do the restretching, so I didn't even bother with it. I never knew it would be buckling that soon.

    The sales rep was very friendly and nice. I'd give him a 10. I had laminate installed in the den, and installation was good too. Empire Today was supposed to come and remove the tiles underneath, but they didn't because it would have been a mess. The tiles underneath were the mosaic ones wherein they break up pieces of tiles and put grout over it. They said it would've been too big of a job to do and couldn't do it, so they just put the laminate flooring over it. We had sticky back tiles on over it and they took that up. The job came out really nice, and I love it. It's level, and my favorite is it looks really good. I told all my friends it's beautiful and showed them pictures.

    Empire installed our waterproof laminate. We liked their rating and the longevity in business. I had them come to me and that was very refreshing. The fellow was very informative. He had the product in the car so we could see what we're wanting to buy at the time. It was a straightforward experience. Install was very quick. They got here when they were supposed to get here.     I bought flooring from Empire Today, and that experience was good. However, they reached out to me recently with this whole spiel about a deal they had. It was a promotion for 50% off flooring and install and they asked me specifically if I wanted the same flooring I just bought. I said, "Yes, of course." They got here for my appointment and the guy said, "That flooring, actually, doesn't fall under the promotion." I said, "We specifically discussed that. You literally walked through the door and confirmed that I wanted that same flooring." It felt like a bait-and-switch. It was a waste of my time, and I didn't appreciate it at all.

    We had carpet and like a tile flooring in the kitchen, and then the new LVT in the living room and hall installed by Empire Today. We love the products. The sales experience was very pleasant. The rep was very knowledgeable. All the samples and everything were ready. I was impressed with his knowledge of the product itself. As far as the install, the guys were done in a day. They had to come back the next day and finish some trim work and some of the little closets, but they had 90% of it done in a day, so I was very happy with it.

    We had carpet and laminate installed by Empire Today. Someone came and did the presentation to my home. Customer service-wise, it was outstanding. He did a great job. He explained everything. He went over it again if I had questions. He made it very clear. He brought in all the samples, showed me different styles, different samples, used his little bill where he took a picture and could show actually the room with the laminate in it or the carpet color of my choice in it, which I thought was neat. He talked about the timeframe and how it could be done. He did an excellent job.

    The gentleman that came and did the laminate did a great job. He was by himself, and it took him pretty much most of the day. It looked good. He was very courteous, very friendly, and wanted to make sure he didn't inconvenience me at all. He was a pleasant person all the way around. When they installed the carpet, they were not quite as friendly. To me, they were concerned with others. I just didn't get a good vibe from them like I did with the gentleman that did the laminate. They did a good job, but I just feel like they weren't as nice as the other gentleman.

    Working with Empire has been my biggest regret. I have never had such terrible customer service especially after spending so much money with them. I got LV flooring done back in 21'. Within that 1st year they was lifting and buckling. They sent people out 2 times with the same answer "I don't know what is causing it" so they would take the flooring out and lay it back down. Well now it is lifting again in that same spot and also in 6 other spots and since it is out of warranty they want to say it is due to the cleaning products I am using.

    Mind you I have used these same cleaning products since the beginning and submitted them for review 3 years ago. I was told back then that it is not the cleaning products but now all the sudden it is the cleaning products. Along with holes they left in my baseboards and not installing the baseboards that I asked and paid for they have been the biggest headache. DO NOT use them if you want your floors to last. They will do anything to scam you out of your money and then find any excuse to not make things right when their terrible work and products fail!! WORST EXPERIENCE

    The product that the Empire salesman swore was "bullet-proof" is awful. The product is buckling from the smallest water spill and around entries, it is pulling at the seams and the most plasticky, sun-glaring ugliness ever. The product that was shown to us, is not what was installed. I have been trying to work with Empire to resolve some of the issues and they have not responded, closed our file, claimed it was all our fault even though we bought an extended warranty. They have sent two installers out to take pictures of the issues, one set of pictures was magically lost and the other was dismissed. Both installers said they can't fix our issues without installing thresholds in our open floor plan first floor.

    I have had one responsive representative, but they are still not addressing the real issues. I have gotten a note saying all the issues were not covered by Empire or the warranty. When I asked them to say what the issues were, they didn't list half of the issues that I have been trying to work with them on. Installers worked hard, but are all subcontractors and not treated well by the overall company. I'm leaving this review after seven months of trying to communicate and work with Empire and they have been less than responsive. The product is awful and they use particle board quarter round. They are not responsive to customer requests and definitely don't stand behind any of what they promise.

    I have never seen such a horrendous display of service/communication from a company that manages sub contractors. Had to have my contract revised and resent to me 10 times over errors, ridiculous. I had work done it was beyond acceptably delayed (2 weeks to do 2 rooms of a townhouse), no communication. You have to be there when the contractors show up, but never know when they are coming. A new crew came and refused to haul away the old flooring when it was already paid to be removed. It would have been easier if I had just hired someone myself in person. Very horrible service, would never recommend to anyone.

    We have used Empire before and we had great service with them. This time, the sales rep came out, and we showed him what we wanted, then he showed us samples. We picked it out and we discussed the padding. It was very good. We had carpeting installed in three of our bedrooms, and it took two hours. Three installers came in, and they were very kind, respectful and generous 'cause it's a brand-new home. They removed the carpeting that was put in 'cause it was not very good, then they installed the new carpeting. It's very good quality, and we also love the color. It was perfect. If anything spills, we can use some soap and water or just water to get it out. All in all, I love Empire Today. They're great, and I have recommended them as well. They did my daughter's house also.

    I got price quotes from various flooring people and the quote from Empire Today was very competitive. I did a price match and they did it with no problem, which surprised me. I ended up getting Pergostyle and the quality is decent. The installers were very quick and efficient. I've never done that before, so it was a little noisier than I expected. But even after this time, nothing is going up and everything is quite flat. The installers were also really professional and the little stuff they did on the edges of the baseboards were great. But I regret the color choice as it shows every bit of dust on the flooring. So you have to sweep every single day. I had carpet before and everything was hidden. But my wife loves our new flooring and that's all that matters.

    Empire Today's salesman was good and he sold me vinyl flooring. Then, the installation job was okay, but they were not clean about it. It was all dust all over the house. Also, I paid double than what I should pay. The price was very unreasonable. They cost me almost $12,000 to put in three floors, but if I bought the best material at the Lowe's or Home Depot stores, it would probably cost me $3,000 or $4,000 for the best materials. It also doesn't warrant the $8,000 to install it.

    The person from Empire Today that originally helped me worked with me. I was looking to get the flooring done last April but my mom passed a few weeks before they were supposed to do it. I had to keep putting it off and once I was able to get everything straightened out, I went back and got it done. They came on a Monday and it took them three days. We did the entire house and had two installers. They were phenomenal. They were not told the scope of the project because when they got here and saw everything, they were like, “Oh, my God.” But we all took time off. My brother and my daughter were here and we had another friend that was here. We helped and followed instructions. We were here to do whatever they needed. We made it a group project. The luxury vinyl plank flooring is wonderful. Everybody that comes to see it says it looks so good. I look at it everyday thinking I'm so glad I did this.

    I'm from the Chicago area but I live in South Carolina and somebody mentioned Empire. I already had bids from Lowe's but I decided to have Empire come and they did and it was more personable. I had the vinyl floor, the plank and carpeting installed. It was excellent. I had a flood because somebody broke a pipe outside and it came inside. So I had to cancel the plank flooring. Empire was very understanding and they waited. We had to do each part differently and it was planned to do it all in one day. But they were willing to just do what was dry. Then, they came back and did the carpet later.

    I was happy with both gentlemen who did the installation. They were courteous, very professional and worked in a timely fashion. They both did an outstanding job and you couldn't even tell they were here when they left. So, I was very satisfied. I've been gone for a couple of months but there are a couple of things they need to come back and do. It's just some quarter-round, which was my fault. They wanted to come back right away and do that, but I've been gone. So it was up to me to give them a call. The lady that I spoke to was fabulous. I would highly recommend Empire Today.

    I was mainly impressed with Empire's salesperson, but I wasn't impressed with the company. It wasn't very conducive to my satisfaction. They were very obnoxious and very unprofessional sometimes. There were several people there that I enjoyed working with, but the office people messed up my payment. They were insistent that I send them the final check with the repairman because it was late when they left. So, I gave it to one of them. They apparently never got it from him, but it was found and deposited. Their bank sent a replacement check to me after I'd gotten that I had to get a bond to cover the check with the bank until it was found or replaced.

    Apparently, they did get the check and deposited it to their bank because the bank returned it to me after the bill was paid after I paid a second check. I just now learned that their bank has returned it. The people that are checking my mail told me the check came in the mail today. While I was completely satisfied with the price, I would still not recommend Empire.

    We've used Empire Today several times. Initially, we saw something on TV and we said, "Okay, let's check them out." We had them come in and somebody else and Empire gave us a better price. I'd like the price to be lower, but we're seniors. So, we did get a little discount. They were helpful in finding a good deal for us. Mason and Austin were the two gentlemen that we worked with. They were both charming and nice to work with. They looked out for us and made sure we had exactly what we needed and everything was a good fit for us. They checked in on us to make sure that we're still happy. So, I appreciate that.

I was satisfied with their work after seeing some of the advertisements, so I didn't consider other companies. Empire's salesman came by first and showed me the samples and colors, and I picked from that. After that, the installers came, removed the old carpeting and helped move the furniture.     The sales person was nice. The installers were alright. The flooring is not good quality. We had our living room carpet replaced. I thought I asked for the best. The nap of the carpet is so thin you can see the white the nap is threaded into. My old carpet was much thicker. We had LVP installed kitchen & dining area. Looked like I got all leftover planks with knots every other plank, scratches very easy. So sorry I used Empire Today.

    Empire was great. I had used them to do my kitchen floors in the past. I was happy with them so I got carpet from them, too. The salesperson this time around was excellent. He didn't try to pressure me into buying a more expensive carpet. He let me stay within my budget. The installation team was fast and respectful. I just got out of their way, and in no time, they were done. The man who sold me the carpet said it might take a day or go into a second day to install it all because I had my whole upstairs done, and they were done in four hours. They got the living room, three bedrooms, 14 steps, and then the master bedroom done. Everything was great. They did an outstanding job.

    I ran into some issues with the laminate floor they put on, and it was something simple. They tried to say that that wasn't part of it when, originally, I was told that everything is guaranteed for life. And then they won't follow through on that. They wanted to charge me $300 for a teeny strip. I was like, “No. That's okay.” I was so mad about that.

    Empire Today installed berbery carpet in my basement. Their prices were good and they did a quick install. It was a quick turnaround. The sales guy that I dealt with was very nice. Four installers came in and they moved all the boxes out and then moved them back in. They did a very good job. The carpet is easy to maintain. The only problem I have is that it catches on things and then it pulls. If you try to fix it, it comes out and then there's a clear line. It actually breaks apart. But it has nothing to do with the install.

    I had carpet installed in the basement stairs, and hardwood floor in the living room and the main stairs by Empire. The sales guy who came out was awesome and very informative. He showed me samples. He talked to me about the company's history and their customer service and support. I was satisfied with that. The installers who installed the hardwood floor in the living room and the one that installed the carpet in the basement were really good, informative, and they answered my questions.

    But I had a different experience with the guy that installed the hardwood on the main stairs. He was short-tempered. He didn't want me to ask him questions. He got a little flustered because I was asking him questions. He apologized in the end, but I wasn't really happy with how he approached me. And the stairs don't look seamless. The installation doesn't look as good as it should. But I highly recommend Empire. I liked the product and they are very professional, informative, and if I have to do a job again, I would do it with Empire. Maybe I will select the vendor differently, but in terms of Empire products, I'm satisfied.

    I had the upstairs bedroom, a bedroom downstairs, and the whole family room done. I went online and I liked what I was seeing at Empire. The sales rep answered all of our questions.     I was getting quotes from a couple of places but I love how the rep from Empire Today came out to my house. I didn't have to do anything special. He measured and had all the samples. It was a super easy process and they were reasonably priced. There was also financial incentive to make a decision quickly, and I had the carpet installed in a timely manner. The guys were super fast, very polite and did a lot of cleanup. The only thing that was an issue was when they arrived, they didn't seem to know that they had to pull up the cork floor that was there. They seemed surprised by that but they did it and moved on.     I had carpet put in my house 10 years ago, and I liked the carpet and the installation. Everybody did a good job, so I figured I would try it out again. But it was a different company for the worse. The salesman came in. We picked out some carpet. He said it was a decent one, and it turned out to be cheaper than what we had in here. He sold us on a stain resistant insurance policy where they would take care of it. They replace the carpet. I went for that, and the installers came in and were horrible.

    They tore the carpet up. They had dirt and dust all over my house. I sat here and watched the whole installation. I got wood floors underneath this carpet. They used a giant pole scraper and scraped the hell out of the whole wood floor. I called immediately. Empire Today talked to the installers. The installers said, “That's the only way we can get it up.” And they left 40 tacks in the floor and put the carpet right over and told me I wouldn't feel it. It was a fiasco.

    One of the carpets had a stain on it. Brand new. And they said it must have been from the factory. So, I called. Empire Today gave me a big runaround and sent some installers back out. I tried to get the stain out. Wouldn't come out. This has been four months after the installation. I still haven't got anything taken care of. I still got the stain on the carpet. They offered me 200 bucks for the damage to the floor, which is ridiculous. I'm still fighting with them. I'm disappointed and disgusted with this situation. I'm trying to hold off payment on it, but they financed it to Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo told me they got nothing to do with it. So, my only option is to sue them and take them to court.

    Empire Today was fantastic and their team was the nicest group of guys I've ever met in my life. They were so knowledgeable and they had samples in the car. We also checked Home Depot and they said it would be about seven weeks for the carpet to come in, then once the carpet came in, we'd get a call from the installation place within two weeks to schedule a date to install it. It was like it was going to happen in another year. But the guys at Empire said they could be there the next day, so that was fabulous. And there was no price or quality difference.     Empire Today advertised a special that sounded good. I liked the fact that they brought out samples, whereas other ones I researched did not. I was told by the salesman that this was a good carpet and it would uphold traffic pretty well. But the installer told me the opposite so I started to worry a little bit. The installer was correct. The salesman was very nice but I was very much misled on this carpet. I asked him specifically if it would spring back because I didn't want paths looking into my carpet. He said yes. But no, it doesn't spring back and no, it's not a good carpet. It's brand new and it's already all wearing and spots. I have sent Empire Today emails but they have not responded. I wish they would get back to me because I would like to get this replaced. I'm not happy with this carpet at all.

    We used Empire Today in the past, so we got a discount for being a former customer. Also, the installation was a little cheaper with Empire. They had a special on at the time. Put one room in, get the second room free for installation purposes. We told them when we booked the appointment that we were looking at laminate instead of carpet. So, the gentleman came up and brought up seven types of books that had the different types of laminate. And he explained that these were waterproof, and what the laminate was made out of. He opened the books, sat on the couch, and let my wife and I go through and look at the different colors and the samples. When we picked one, he said, “Okay. Now I'll tell you a little bit more about it.” He did, and we decided that was the one we wanted to go with.

    The crew that Empire hired to do the installation, we were told it would be a two to two and a half-day installation. The crew arrived at eight o'clock in the morning, and there were three of them during the first part where they moved furniture out and for the old carpet and old laminate out of our kitchen, dining room area. It went down to two people and they did the installation. They were able to finish it in one 11-hour day. They cleaned up everything. The house looked good when they were done. Everything was done professionally. It was a good experience. I haven't had good experiences with many contractors in the past. I've had two major projects done on my house recently, and they both were surprisingly efficient and well done.

    There were some missing molding that they took some molding from behind the refrigerator that you would never see, and cut the pieces to the corner pieces. Because the house is 20 plus years old, and some of the corner pieces in the molding had kicked off because it's rounded corners on everything. They were able to cut the molding to make the corner parts and replace all of them, and they did it for just a minor charge. The guy said, “We're gonna have to call and see how much more” because they only replace the molding, not repair it. I said, “Okay.” I offered just to pay the crew a little extra to do that. And they said, “Okay. We don't have to mess with anything and we can get the job done right.” So, I paid him an extra $50 to do it.

    Beware of the people that Empire brings to the house because they subcontract some of the work. You have to be careful and watch how they do it, especially if it's in a mobile home park for seniors. Ours was a repair job. It was the deluxe vinyl planks. It was in the living room, family room, and bathroom. We had the salesperson come. I looked at samples and took something that was supposed to be similar. But it ended up being lighter, which was okay with us. The same product was not available. We had to change.

    The first people that came did a bad job. They screwed up. And they put too high of transitions in here. This is a mobile home park for seniors. It would cause my wife difficulty in passing. So, it had to be redone the second time by Empire Today. The process took a couple of days. And they had two people came out. This was after the salesperson came and told them exactly how to do it right. They did it right the second time. It delayed the bathroom remodel by contractors. I had contractors remodeling the bathroom because of water damage. It came out into the other rooms. So, it halted their work for the time that I had to repair the floor.

    I made contact with Empire Today then a representative contacted me. We set up an appointment, and he did a wonderful job. We got marble tiles for one for the bathrooms and wood for upstairs. We redid our whole upstairs which included two bathrooms, three bedrooms and a staircase. There were four installers who came. The others spoke a little English, but the representative did all the talking and let us know what they were going to do.

    However, there was one mix-up. The salesperson said one thing in reference with how they would start and what we needed to move. But when they came, it was almost completely the opposite. We thought they were starting in our master bedroom and we were told to move the little things and they would move the big things. We moved that stuff in the hallway. But they said they would start with the hallway first. That part was a mess but it all worked out and things were done. There were a couple of things not in the room that it started out in, but that was no big deal. The only thing I didn't like was there is a nick to where the vinyl is peeling off on the bottom staircase coming in from the main floor. Nothing was dropped on that step. I put in a service call and they said it's not covered under the contract. They wanna charge me 200 and something dollars to come out and look at it. I didn't appreciate that and didn't have them come out.

    The salesperson that came out was great. The guy knew his stuff and he represented the company well. I liked all the fact on the guarantees and the methodology was good. We got a good price, too. But it was the technical portion that he dropped the ball. What he didn't tell us was that there could be some issues with the measurements not being right. We got a rock thrown in in the estimate by the installers having to do all the plywood to make the flooring even. If the sales rep had warned us, that would have been different. Also, I left him a voice mail and he never got back to me.

    The workmanship by the installers was impeccable, though, and the manager gave me $200 or $300 off. They were hardworking people and they did everything to please. And the follow-up people have helped me. I'm gonna recommend the company and if I have to do another floor somewhere else, I'm gonna call them back. The warranty and the products are great. We have dogs and they pissed all over the hardwood floors and messed them up but this one is easy to clean and we love it. But I gotta call the company because some of the edges when they did the molding are peeling back and may need to be replaced a little bit.

    Empire Today was running a special that was probably a dollar less than Lowe's and 50% less than Carpet Guys. But I was very unhappy because the salesperson set me up with a certain product and with a trim to match. They installed white trim when I told them it should be gray. It was gonna cost more. They couldn't put in the kitchen floor because they said they would have to tear up another floor. They were having a lot of issues with getting my flooring in and I should have gone with somebody else. It isn't rectified and some of my trim is now coming up but I don't even wanna fool with it. I never heard back so I just said, "Forget it." It wasn't a bad experience. The guys were knowledgeable and it wasn't the installers. It was just the whole process.     I like Empire's website because you could see what the floor looks like before you decide on a color. I got LVP flooring and it was installed four months in our main living room and the hallway. I like it. The installers were awesome. They both did a really good job. They were in and out within maybe six hours or less. I plan on getting my bedroom done soon. I'd like to return to Empire because the color is only available through them and I want the color in the same rooms, but I've had issues with some of their people. The salesperson and the installers were good. The product is good, too. It's just dealing with the financial department was a big mess. It got so bad where they sent me to a collection agency. There was a big mix-up with the cashier's check.

    I paid cash the first half of the deposit. The salesperson posted that. So, that was fine. Then I was supposed to pay the second half when the installation was done. So, I had a cashier's check with the money, and I gave it to the installer. The installer called the finance department and gave her all the numbers. Everything supposedly cleared. He asked if he should bring the check in. She said no. So, I kept the cashier's check, which I thought was strange because, usually, you take that with you and they deposit it right away because it's cash and it's not coming from my checking account. I didn't pay with a debit card. So, it had nothing to do with my bank account at all.

    So, they didn't take the check and I thought everything was fine. Then I started getting calls saying that my check bounced. There was insufficient funds. I was thinking, "Well, how could there be not sufficient funds or how could the check bounce when it was a cashier's check paid for with cash?" Finally, I said, "If you want the cashier's check, you can come and get it." I wanna make sure that it gets picked up. The installer was supposed to come pick it up. So, he did pick it up and I thought everything was okay because I got confirmation of my extended warranty. And usually, you get that when it's paid off.

    In between that, they sent me to a collection agency. I had to call them again saying that I paid with a cashier's check. So, then I got another phone call saying that I had to pay with a different form of payment because there was something wrong with the check. I told him, "Do not call me again and harass me." It was a big issue with that, and that went on for a good month and a half. They haven't called me back at all again. Everything else is fine. I love the product and I love the installers.

    I had Empire Today install carpet in our home, and I felt really good about the price. We were putting our house up for sale and the stairway carpet looked really bad and we were gonna have an open house. I just started with Google and I saw Empire's, "Need carpet tomorrow?" It fit perfectly. I got it two days later. It was really good. The guy who came to my house was very nice and very professional and helped me with the solution that I had with the certain area of my house for carpet. The guys that put the carpet in were nice, respectful, and did a good job.

    The only thing is I got an email about a protection plan, and I had to call and cancel that or I would have been charged. I was reading the fine print on my receipt.     Empire had the best value and the most options and the quickest turnaround. We got hardwood installed in our home in the kitchen and a bathroom, laundry room area, and in our other two bathrooms upstairs as well. We've got two dogs. We definitely wanted the flooring to be durable, and to stand up to them. I've also got a two-year-old. So to try and be just resistant to as much, our sales guy pulled out the sample and ran his knife across it and it didn't scratch at all. That was our final decision as, "Our old floor is super scratched up with just the dogs and our son." The durability was really important to us.

    The crew came out to install it. We had our Empire consultants call and make sure everything was good a couple of times throughout the day. They came through to install, inspected all of the rooms, and we found out that they had to get a couple of things from Home Depot, like the subfloor under the carpet and remove that. They started upstairs and worked their way down. They were here and went through and finished the whole thing with the separators on as well. For the most part, the quality was good. Some of the transition pieces have slipped off. So we will have to get them redone. But they did a really good job.

    They definitely helped walk me through the process, checked in on the installation throughout the day and made sure it looked good, followed up to share how to care for our floors and what that looks like if things happen to the floors. It was an easy process, and they helped us pick a couple of different options for our lifestyle. We feel like we picked the best one. We love the color in here.

    The sales rep with Empire Today showed us the samples and we picked one out. It was overwhelming but she made it easy. She was lovely and gracious. I like her. Then the installers came, moved all the furniture, and installed the flooring. They were professional. They came between 8:00 and 9:00 and didn't leave until 2:30 because they did do a lot.

    I am not complaining about it to the company because it was my choice but I don't like the carpet. It's cheap. They gave me a huge price, to start with, and almost cut it in half after I said I was not paying the big price. Also, there are areas of the install against the wall that have spaces. I have this parquet floor in a small area and now the wood is raised up because the padding and the carpet are so thin. It's so much thinner than what I thought would be but the rep said I was getting the top-of-the-line padding. What got me was she said, "We just installed this carpeting into a 10,000 square foot home." I'm disappointed in all of that.

    Installation was punctual, issue is one week after warranty expires the caulk starts failing and the molding is all coming off. They were no help and basically said they would fix it but tough no more warranty. Crappy product doesn't make it a year without failing.

    I had laminate flooring put in in my front room and my hallway. I contemplated about doing it myself, but thought it was a bit big of a project for me. I chose Empire, and they did a great job. At about 9 in the morning, the installers arrived and started moving the furniture and pulling up the carpet. They were very conscientious about working in our house 'cause we were there at the time, and walked through all the details with us. If there were any problems that came up, they brought it to our attention. If there were any decisions to be made one way or another, they let us make those, and the recommendations of what to do before they commenced further. They were very thorough and very professional.

    There were three people, and installation was a two-day process. There were pieces of trim that I had to re-glue, but it was a tough section. It was a small piece and it was easy to just put some glue on it. I called up the installer and told him about it and he offered to come out and fix it, and I said, "Just tell me how I could do it." He told me the type of glue to use and I pulled it up, put a couple of dabs of glue in it, clamped it and it's perfect. Other than that, everything that they did was top-notch.

    When I found out Empire was in our area, I called them right away because I know of them. The sales visit was excellent and the rep was like an expert. I had carpeting installed in the master bedroom and office and only one installer came out. I originally was not happy with that because I thought that one person shouldn't do the job. It sounded like there were a few phone calls and the other one thought he was coming but couldn't make it. But the installer did an excellent job and it was obvious he knew what he was doing.     I bought carpet and laminate flooring from Empire Today, and the rep who assisted me was very knowledgeable. They had to have two different crews for the installation, so the laminate flooring was installed within 24 hours of my purchase and the carpet was done within 48 hours. For both crews, six reps showed up and moved the furniture, then they did all the work and put all the furniture back. They started around 8:30 in the morning and they were done by at least 3:30 in the afternoon. One crew did three rooms with carpet, and other crew did two large rooms with laminate flooring. Their workmanship is very professional and the products are excellent quality. I was very impressed. Also, I had one flaw in a piece of threshold but they immediately came out the next day, then they evaluated and fixed it.

    The installers which came over to install my thing my flooring were a family, home of workers, nephews, cousins. During the installation process, they stack the flooring on top of the metal hand bars on each side of the front porch steps, and by stacking those heavy things there they made them become loose and of course, over the last two years they become looser. As you can see about some of the pictures that I took and sent to you, they ran an electric saw between the gap between the wall and sheetrock and the floor to allow room for something but the floor is a laminate which is only like a8 of an eighth quarter and it’s thick so I don’t think they need to do that, but they did it anyway.

    So I sent you pictures of where the molding around the bottom of the floor has cracked in several places all the way around the room. It’s also led to cracks in the corners, which are pictures of that as well and they left a piece off at the bathroom door is a little square. They didn’t put anything in it. Don’t think very professional. I did read in several websites and several how to do something videos that you can use a saw to create some room between the two if you need it to put the floor down, but they took down the floor that was already on there so the gap should’ve already been created so the saw was totally unnecessary, but I really don’t think they were the best professionals to work on an old house like mine. I just want to let you know what I experience and I’m definitely not very happy with it but I’ll live with it.

    Imagine laying out $11,000 plus to replace your floors and then after they rip out your floors, you are told that your floors need a lot more work than expected. They stated our floors needed to be leveled and this would take an extra day of work and more materials. We were told they needed 4 days to complete the floors instead of 3 and they had to get 14 more bags of cement, bringing the total to 25 bags of cement for my home. We are told this is going to cost more and we had to wait for a call from Empire.

    The men stopped working as we waited for the call. They finally called us and told us that we had to pay an additional $3800 to complete the job. My husband and I couldn't believe it. We didn't have an extra $3800, we are standing on floors that were ripped up already and the men stopped working and couldn't continue until we paid. After panicking and trying to figure out how to make this payment, we did negotiate on another amount but still had to figure out how to pay the additional costs. This is criminal.

    The sales rep never mentioned that additional costs might be involved!! As a matter of fact the sales rep failed to mention several important bits of Information. That's a whole different negative review. So after we paid, as it turned out, they did not need or use 25 bags of cement and the extra day of labor that we were told would be needed to make sure our floors were prepped correctly, never happened. The floors were completed in 3 days as agreed originally. So what extra labor did we pay for???

    Last but certainly not least, the amount of cleanup we had to do after this installation was insane. Every ounce of my house is filled with dust including every piece of furniture and every item in our house. We have been cleaning for 3 days. My couch was filled with dust from the grinding of the floors. If they couldn't cover the couch or any pieces of furniture, they could have at the very least given us the option to cover them up ourselves. We could not believe the condition our house was left in. I have more issues that we dealt with but I just can't write them all. Please please read the reviews. I wish I did because it's pretty apparent that their business practices are shady, to say the least.

    Do not use Empire. They tell you a price. I asked this is the final price and no hidden charges. They stated yes. Then after they tore up my floor they then charged me more. They stated, "You signed and you did not have hidden costs." They intimidate senior citizens. I sent many emails even to the CEO who gave it to the Director. I asked to speak with him but I am beneath him. Then I got scolded by the Service Manager because I reached out to too many people. They refuse to make it right and refund the hidden charge. They are unethical and I should have read the real reviews before purchasing. I was even told by the SM I can not control what others say. I would not have had an issue if they were upfront with me. Worst Customer Service I have ever encountered.

    I've always used Empire Today and automatically called them when I had carpet installed in a three-bedroom and a living room-dining area. The two people that were here for the installation were good. There was a spot in the living room that was wet ‘cause the people in the house prior to me had cats. One of the installers asked for some bleach and cleaned it up. However, they didn't put the carpet in the closet like they were supposed to. It dawned on me that all that carpet that was left was supposed to have been in the closet. But it's no big deal. I love the carpet in the living room.     I had my house done with vinyl and carpet. The trim around the vinyl was not done properly. I called but nobody ever came to look at it. I also put in some carpet and tile. They put linoleum in bathroom instead of tile. The carpet is done right but they didn’t fix the problem in bathroom after they went and looked at it.     I had carpet installed by Empire Today. It took the installers seven hours. They did pretty well and they were clean. However, there were some things that were wrong and I had called and they did not fix the problem. On the closet doors, there are sliders. They took those off and they were sitting on the floor. They never put them back on. They were also a little overpriced, but I was in a hurry to sell my house. So, I had to get that done.

    When we went with Empire Today the first time, they did an excellent job on the carpet. We got hardwood floors this time, and they've done another excellent job. But I didn't like the salesman because he kept dodging questions. We kept asking him about how much it was by the foot, but he kept on trying to sell us some other stuff other than what we were wanting. He was telling us, "This is the best one, and it's cheaper than those over there.” But he would never say how much it was a foot. That was shady to me. If we're asking a question, they should answer us. It's still up to us to say which ones we like and which ones we don't. He sold us a good floor, but we still don't know to this very day what it was a foot, so I don't know if we got a deal or not. But I've got friends who's got floors like this, and theirs is scarred up and messed up already, but ours isn't. We got the scratch-proof ones. The quality is excellent. Nothing is popping up or loose.

    I needed to get flooring the next week, and the other vendors couldn't. I had to wait a month. Empire Today was available but I was not thrilled with my experience. The product is subpar. I don't like the flooring at all. It's a lot thinner than the other brands. The thickest that they had available for me is still super thin. I also didn't care for the people who had installed it. They used my bathroom without asking. They were smokers, and you could smell it all over them. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves but I had to tell them to fix some of the squeaky floors. I shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job. Any kind of person who's doing any kind of flooring should take pride in their work and make sure that everything's screwed down so there's no squeaking.

    My experience with Empire started out great. The guy came quickly to place an order. They came quickly to put it in. They did a great job putting it in, but they sent the wrong quarter around to go with it. They put it in in January. By the middle of January, I was trying to get ahold of them to come figure out the right quarter around, and it took forever to get ahold of them. Once I did, we had it scheduled for someone to come. I had scheduled four times for someone to come. First time was a no call, no show. The second time, I got a call at 4 o'clock in the afternoon saying, "Oh, we got put on another job. We can't be there today." The third time, they sent him with the wrong quarter round. And then the fourth time, somehow the work order didn't go through right, so they weren't coming.

    I was just done with it by that point. I try to get them just to show me the quarter around, apparently, the company can't ship product. It seems weird to me. They had a guy bring it up and it was the right one. So, I was finding my own guy to put it in. They did give me $100 credit, which I thought was a small amount. The installation was great. The guys were great. They took care of things. They brought it to my attention right away that it wasn't the right quarter round when they were installing it. So, I'm very happy with that part. The follow up part trying to fix something is the part where we had the problem.

    We got carpet and linoleum from Empire Today for the dining room and the living room. The sales rep was very informative. He took his time and we didn't feel rushed. He did pretty well. The flooring looks beautiful. We had it put in a rental home and the people are very happy with it. But the first time when we had the Empire come to our house to have tile floor put down in our kitchen, I wasn't happy at all. I had to stay away from them because they just smelled so bad. Then when they started to put the tile down, I've been around it enough to know they should have started at the wall and worked inward. They started in the center and by the time they got to the fireplace, it was so messed up and there were gaps.

    I called Empire and I told them to not send those two guys back because they didn't even finish. The next crew that Empire sent to us took up what they messed up. They fixed everything.     DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They did not communicate at all during the process! When they showed up they increased the price of the job after tearing up my tile floor and I didn't have a choice. Did not cover my personal property like tv built into my walls, beds, countertops! Scratched all of my furniture and did nothing about it. I come home one evening to find all of my furniture outside! We live in Florida! There's at no point that's a good idea! They promise it's not third party contractors but they are! When you try and get ahold of anyone you have to leave a message because they don't really have an office anywhere. No one on this random install team spoke English so couldn't even talk to them about issues!

    Now that we are done with all the damage and issue they charged me extra but only offer a $500 discount on destroying 2 60inch tv, solid wood chairs and dining room set. And my brand new beds we purchased were not covered at all during the tile removal so are covered in chunks of tile and an unmeasurable about of dust!!! I have had nothing but lung issues since we moved back it! The installers have to return 5 times to repair issues already only to fill the damaged flooring with a wood filler!!?? They are brand new vinyl floors and should be replaced!!! The flooring looks nothing like we agreed upon. Since they received their money no one can get ahold of them now either! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

    Overall the experience was fine. The product installed is nice. And it was on sale so overall the whole thing wasn’t a major financial setback. The sales person experience was fine. The installation timeline was accurate and work was completed. My main criticisms are there was a major mess left in my driveway where they cut all the carpeting. It was not worth my time to have the team come back to Clean because there’s no way they would’ve done it to my level of standard and it was going to rain which would’ve made all the carpet hooks nearly impossible to get out of my lawn and garden beds. It ended up being about 25 gallon buckets, full of carpet, shreds, and little loops. This not necessarily the fault of Empire rather the contracted installation team. But there should be a standard around cleanup, and it should be thorough.

    My other complaint is about the manner in which the carpet pad is installed with the spill guard - You pay quite a bit more per square foot for the spill guard, and if you watch the installation, they put about 10,000 staples in it which punctures the barrier everywhere. Like huge breaks in the barrier made by the head of the staple hammer. As you can imagine if there’s actually a spill on the carpet, any liquid will go through one of the staple holes and that seems to defeat the purpose.

    Few years back we were thinking about getting new carpet for the house, we had the consultation sometime later on, long story short even though we still live in a raised ranch the quote the guy offered was $17,580. We told him no. I still remember it to this day, nearly 18 grand for a small section of house. You must be joking. Recently a carpet place moved into town. We gave them a call, same thing but quoted $1740. We said ok. 48 hours later carpet installed. Very professionally done. Yea, stay away from Empire carpet for the 900% up charge fees.

I have had to phone tag with them to get them to come back and fix the bad job and even when they came back, the floor still were not done correctly!     I've used Empire in the past and was satisfied but this time around, it was the worst experience I've ever had. The salesperson did not tell me everything I needed to know. Then when I was trying to reach him to get other information or have him come back out to finish the quote, he was very nonresponsive. So, I called and tried to get somebody else. They didn't respond. So, I gave up and I went with somebody else for the second part of what I needed to do.

    I also purchased a warranty. I was moving to a brand-new house for me. So, boxes were everywhere when I called. Then when I finished unpacking, there was a scratch on the floor that they had installed. So, I called to file a claim. They said I couldn't call because I couldn't tell them when the scratch happened. I'm sure it happened when the move happened, but the boxes were covering it. It was a big fiasco. I was very frustrated because I pay a lot of money for that warranty and I have a big old scratch on my floor. So, I canceled the warranty. Nobody ever called me back or did anything. It was mostly a “Too bad, so sad” response I got. I have six other rooms that I need to have done. It was terrible. I need to do the whole downstairs, still, but I still have a big old scratch on my floor in the middle of what I paid, for me, a lot of money for. Other than the scratch, I don't have any problems with the quality of the materials.

    I had ceramic tiles installed by Empire Today. I had one repair that needed to be done, which was done very recently. The grout was coming loose in a major walkway. They sent the same guy out and he fixed it up very quickly and neatly and it's doing good. But there was one little thing that I was disappointed in. I didn't get any extra tiles. I got a very small piece that got a crack in it from another worker. I was having some other work done in my house and a worker hit it with a mallet and he cracked a piece of tile.

    I called Empire to see if I could get any extra tiles. But I was told I would have to buy a whole box. The worker didn't try to replace it. He just tried to fix the crack and he couldn't match the grout exactly. You could tell something's been done to it and it was brand-new. That was a little bit disappointing. I went to Home Depot and I found a close match to the tile so that if something else breaks, at least I have a match to try to fix it with. That was a little bit discouraging.

    I had Empire Today put laminate flooring in the dining room and hallway. I like the look of my new flooring and their sales rep was nice. But I did wanted luxury vinyl floors and he quickly talked me out. He just told me that the price would be higher. So I stayed with the laminate. The gentleman who came here to do the installation was nice as well. I was pleased with his work to a certain extent and he answered questions. I asked him if I should use a Swiffer to clean the flooring and he said yes. He told me not to use a mop and a broom, and that that little sweeper duster would do good. But I noticed that in my bath, the flooring was making some noise and it didn't feel comfortable when I was walking on it. Then, after the installation, I still had questions that I didn't really know I would have, so I called the corporate office. They were nice to send someone out here later to explain everything to me.

    The sales rep with Empire Today was professional and had knowledge of the materials. However, the installation wasn't great. It was snowing at the time and I had to ask the install person to take off his shoes because I didn't want him coming in with the snow and going on my carpet upstairs to put the carpet. But he said he wasn't gonna take off his shoes and that I had to reschedule. He tried to talk me into going ahead with it. I had to put my own towels down all the way up the stairs. He did do a good job at the end of it but the interaction with him was terrible. I was very dissatisfied. Even the carpet that he installed got wet because of his shoes.

    Some of my flooring that Empire Today did four years ago is separating. I need to call them back to take a look at it. I am not happy with the overall product, how it looks now even though I don't mop and follow the rules. I always made sure that my mop was not wet. They sold me hardwood floor that was supposed to be waterproof and scratch proof. It is scratch proof but not waterproof.

    We wanted to re-carpet our home. After getting a quote from a box store and a private installer, we called Empire Today to set up an appointment and get a quote. The salesperson came to our home on time, brought samples, discussed pricing, and measured our square footage. He walked around our house with us and explained what we would need to do to prepare for the installation and the policies about moving furniture (which were way more flexible and giving that the box store offered). He worked up a quote that was HALF the amount of the box store quote and gave it to us before he left.

    I captured the information about the carpet and pad so I could compare the quality of the rug and I determined the carpet was reasonably comparable to the carpeting used in the other quotes. In fact, the Empire quote included an 8lb pad. There was absolutely no pressure. The salesman left his number and told us to call him if we needed more information or wanted to proceed. We called to schedule and the salesman came back to our house, we finalized the carpet selection, signed the contract and set the installation schedule.

    Empire was extremely accommodating in setting the schedule. In fact, they even broke the installation into 2 different days because that was convenient for us. The installation team arrived within the designated window on both installation days. They were EXCELLENT! They were friendly, fast, professional, and the finished product looks amazing! We could not have been happier. A great product at a fabulous price! My house looks beautiful now and feels so clean... I love it!

    The sales rep was good. However, the installers didn't communicate a whole lot. There was a language barrier. The flooring is great but I wasn't happy with the trim pieces that they put around the fireplace. The one side is 18-inches long. They had to use two different pieces and you could see a cut line. It's also not attached all the way to the floor so every day I have to go and push it back down. One of the walls we have didn't have baseboard on it yet. I talked to the sales rep about it and he said they would leave a piece of quarter round behind. But after they left, there was nothing left behind besides a half a box of flooring. I sent an email shortly after the installation saying I wasn't happy, but nothing ever got sent back from Empire Today.

    They do not stand behind their warranty. I had engineered hardwood installed (Cambridge Hand Scrapped in Nutmeg) with a manufacturer lifetime warranty a few years ago. After about a year or two the floor chipped in one area, and few years later is now beginning to show signs of delamination and faulty coloring on a few planks. I contacted customer service and was told I would need to have an inspection done to determine the reason behind the problem.

    I paid $250 dollars to have one of their employees come out to determine the issues and take moisture readings, etc. He was very quick to tell me it was not an installation issue, and that there is no moisture issue, so it would have to be a manufacturing issue. Of course when it goes to the manufacturer they claim that because I don't have a dehumidifier on my furnace, that must be the problem, and it's a site issue. What an absolute scam! I live in Michigan, not Louisiana. They're saying my only option now is to replace my entire floor at my cost. Seriously disappointed with this company, and would steer anybody thinking of using them in another direction.

    Updated on 06/01/2024: After writing my review about Empire Today's cheap carpet and terrible service.. I was contacted by Empire Today customer service. I sent them the pictures of the problems with the carpet. They wanted $200 to fix their mistake. I refuse to lay out any money. I'll go to another carpet company and replace it rather than pay the $200 for them to fix their mistakes with their cheap carpet and terrible installation!

    Original Review: Empire Today installed carpet throughout most of my house. The actual carpet itself is very cheap... Shows footprints terribly. I asked the salesman to give me carpet that doesn't show footprints. He gave me this garbage. I had to change to planking but the remaining part of my house that still has carpeting is showing lines an installation problems.. Empire wanted $125... To look at their installation. I will never purchase anything from empire again.

    We had carpeting installed from Empire in the living rm, hallway & 3 bedrms in 2/2020. We went with their best quality carpet & padding. The salesman, installers were great. After 3.5 years the hallway carpeting is showing signs of wear. The 2 major seams, one between the living rm & hallway & the other in a guest bedroom (that rarely gets used) have become visible. We are a household of 2. Called Empire re: the seams.. Was informed that because the carpeting was out of warranty I would have to pay a minimum of $250 for them to come out to fix the seams. Feel this is very unacceptable as we have had other carpet installations that have lasted 25+ yrs before it showed signs of wear with no visible seams! Think twice before buying from this company.

    I should have read the reviews before contacting them. On May 9th, 2024 a representative from Empire Today (Primal **) came by my home for a scheduled appointment. He brought several carpet samples with him. I agreed to a carpet that match a color in my hardwood floors. The product, Allure-Fascinate, is brown-gold and shown in the attached contract. That carpet was to be installed in the stairway and updaters, corridors, as well as the upstairs media room. The contract price, which included a second carpet type to be installed in a bedroom, was $4500, paid in advance.

    When the installers arrived on Monday May 13th, I noticed a much lighter product and brought it to the attention of the crew chief. He assured me that it was the correct carpet and that once installed it would be darker under home lighting conditions instead of the direct sun. I believed him and allowed him to proceed. I am a senior citizen but should have known better. Exhibit 1 is a comparison of what I ordered and what was installed. I complained again and the installer contacted the head office and I briefly spoke to someone who said the salesman should have told me that the actual color of the carpet might be slightly different from the sample. You can see from Exhibit 1 that there is a dramatic difference between what I ordered and what was installed.

    When the installer was finished, he asked me to sign the install completion certificate. He explained that it just covered the installation and had would not impact my claim about the color of my project so I signed. I contacted my the salesperson who agreed that there was a substantial difference after seeing the difference (see text message). I offered to accept a price discount because I did not want to go through a full day install again but nothing is being done. I believe that, because of my age, they just assume that I'm going to just let this go. I am requesting replacement of the carpet with something resembling the color of the carpet I ordered. One week later and still no one has had the courtesy to call. I have reported them to the BBB, FTA, and the TX Attorney General's office. Buyer Beware!

    WE HAD FLOORING INSTALLED ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO, IN OUR KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM AND ALL-SEASON ROOM. Now, we have warping, buckling and cracked corners in the flooring in the dining room.     We just purchased some vinyl plank floors from Empire Today and they did a good job. The gentlemen in the store were very nice but we had a little bit of an issue because in the beginning, their sales rep who came out was very limited on what he showed us. When they came to install the floor, before they could even put more than two planks down, we told them that it was the wrong color and it didn't look the same as the picture. So we picked out another one. But then, their rep only brought one or two books and that was all they could transport in their car. So we weren't given a big selection, but it worked out and we're happy with the floors. I also got a call yesterday from somebody from Empire looking for more business. They asked if there was any other flooring we wanted done. But we don't have any more floors to change in here and they did all our bedrooms.

    Despite purchasing a warranty, which I believed would cover any issues for five years, I am facing a significant problem with my flooring. Recently, sections of the flooring have begun to lift, and the issue is rapidly spreading throughout my home. Upon contacting Empire Today, a representative was sent to inspect the flooring. To my dismay, it was determined that the problem was due to installer error, requiring the replacement of approximately 300 square feet of flooring. Understandably frustrated by the inconvenience of such extensive repairs, I was nonetheless relieved that a solution was in sight. However, my relief was short-lived.

    Shockingly, my claim for the necessary repairs was denied by your company's claims department. Despite clear evidence of installer error, I was informed that because the issue was not deemed my fault or caused by an accident, it would not be covered. Even your representative, Auddie, expressed disbelief at this decision. As a result, I am left with a $9,000 flooring investment that is rapidly deteriorating due to your company's negligence. I feel compelled to warn others to steer clear of Empire Today to avoid similar experiences. I urge you to reconsider your decision and honor your commitment to customer satisfaction. Failing to rectify this situation will only further tarnish your company's reputation.

    I had carpeting installed by Empire Today in the family room and I wasn't too happy with the installers. I couldn't talk to any of them. Also, the installation took a couple of hours. They put it down in pieces. It was wide enough. They could have started in front of the room, went almost halfway with it, and then took the other piece, and went the rest of the way. And there is one strip next to the wall where there's no traffic. But, they went the other way. They went from front to back. They went from the fireplace to the back wall. Then they put a strip in at the door to make it the rest of the way on the width. Also, the transition strip from the family room to the kitchen came up. Two weeks later, I had to have another crew come in and put another strip down.

    If I could give them a zero, I would. We had a representative come out a month ago and exam our floors. He told us there would be "no problem" for them to level the floors when they put the flooring down. This past weekend we ripped up the flooring that was already there and moved everything out of the house. Empire shows up today and says they will not be able to install my floors until a general contractor has done all of the reflooring. We have a baby coming in a few months. The house is a disaster and our floors are completely ripped up. Completely unprofessional and condescending. A manager called us while the workers were there and basically didn't care saying that we should have read the fine print and not gone by what our sales rep told us. Do not use this company or else you will be left with a house house that is completely a mess.

    Sales rep was great. On time, nice and professional. Was able to get floors installed quickly. However the quality of the work was not good. Quarter round not attached appropriately, left a gap between the floor and bathtub because they didn’t caulk properly, and corner pieces of quarter round are not attached. They were not careful during the removal and install and chipped paint and left gouges in my kitchen cabinets. When I complained to Empire they did not acknowledge the damage to my cabinets and ignored every mention if it and that I’d be charged to have someone come repair. I expected better service.

    A couple of years ago, my spouse wanted to get an estimate and it didn't go very well. A rep from Empire came out and she had a bad experience. She was not very happy. Then, recently, we were remodeling and I saw they had some incentive going on and thought it was a really good deal. I looked at different things on their website and I could click on what I'm looking at and put it in the room where I was. It gave me the opportunity to see what the flooring would look like.

    My wife was quite leery but we had a sales guy come. He listened to what we were trying to do and he did a phenomenal job talking through the products, taking the measurements, and counseling us well on what would be a good product to have for the type of traffic we have. We told him we would like to do it if he could do something that could match the flooring in the other room, doesn't have to be exactly the same but as close as he can get it. He put it together and gave us a phenomenal quote and we did it. Everything was ironed out in paperwork and we got everything we had on the computer. He produced those documents in an email and I was able to review them.

    It was a two-man crew who did the installation and they were very respectful. They came early and did what they needed to do. They pulled up the carpet we had, pulled up the straps, and then they put the floor down. Once they got the floor laid down, they had to do a little trim out at the cove of the door and their craftsmanship is very good. Then one came around and put down the little trim along the bottom cove and they did it really well. There are no edges anywhere, no gaps, no unevenness, and the pattern is nice. They did a phenomenal job and my wife was singing the praises when they left. I've recommended them to a couple of people.

    We had the carpeting taken out and wooden floors put in. Empire Today was very quick with it. We have stuff that they had to move and the workers did that with care. I was very pleased with their service. They were very polite if there were questions. There was a slight language barrier, but it wasn't anything that could not be overcome. They were very much in tune with our needs and went beyond what I would have expected. We had the living room and the hallway done before Empire came in. We got something that was very close to a match to that and we were able to do that. Unless you get a magnifying glass to look at it, it looks seamless. We were and remain satisfied.     Empire Today beat out the competition purely on the fact that they had a good selection for the kitchen. A guy came out to give me the estimate. It was 9,000 for the house and 5,000 for the kitchen. But when we got to it, it was more than that. I asked where my 75% off was which was the reason I had them come out. He brought his supervisor with him and she called the office. She told me I was gonna get my floors at 20% off. I got bait and switched there.

    The installation was crazy. The first set of guys that came out to do the entire house flooring, not the kitchen, did an awesome job. They were quick and efficient. They took care of everything. They ended up moving the big, heavy stuff. But with the other guys that came out to do the kitchen, I ended up having to call the company back because they put the flooring down but I didn't have matching molding.

    I had a dark brown color on the floor. The kitchen had all these dark grays and yellows on it with no grout. My cabinets are a dark oak so I matched the floor with that, but none of the molding and corners that they did under the cabinet were available close to that color. They didn't have enough to finish the job, so they mixed it with white, gray, and brown on my countertop. I have a big island in the center of the kitchen. That had some brown and gray, and the cabinet under the sink had white, gray and brown on them. It was a mix-match hodgepodge. It was not very conducive or pretty. I had it put in the last week in December. Even today if we walk on it without me sweeping it for a couple of days and mopping it, I still have residue of the sticky stuff that they used seeping out on the edges that I have to go through and elbow it out so it comes out.

    One of the guys called and said, “I've got you on my list. I gotta close out this ticket.” I told him I'd send him the pictures which I did. He said, "I can't believe we did that. How can I fix this?” I said, “I'd like to have something that matches or have it stained." He said, “I'll have somebody come out and bring you some cornering so that you can at least practice on it.” That never happened. I ended up staining the ones along the kitchen cabinet myself.

    When they were taking my tile out, they pulled the oven out my stove from the wall and disconnected the gas line. When everything was ready to be put back, they told me, “We can't connect your gas line. It has to be a licensed plumber to connect it because it's gas.” Now I have to wait and take out the money to have somebody come and put the gas line back on so I can cook.
