    Empire Today put in my carpeting on my stairs. I got better quality carpet for my money because I looked at Lowe's and Home Depot. I also liked the padding. So, I'm really happy with what I got. I like the color and the softness. I don't really like shag, so this was nice. It’s soft, but it’s really nice. The guy that put it in knew exactly what he was doing. He was very good.

    I would recommend Empire but the only thing is they didn't really communicate well. I wasn't gonna do the whole stairs. I was just gonna do the top part of the stairs, and then they were gonna put something in between the stairs. I changed my mind. I said, “No. I want the stairs.” They sent the guy to come and put the panel in the middle of the stairs, and I was like, “No. That's not what I want.” So, he had to go back. Then they didn't have enough carpets. So, then they had to go back and order more carpeting. That was the only mix-up that they had on that. I got it fixed. I’m very happy with the product.

    I had Empire Today install wooden floors in our living and dining rooms. My consultant, Michael, was very good. Even when I contacted him before they even started the process, I asked a question that I didn't think about at the time, and he was available to answer. The price was reasonable. The quality is good. Up to now, I see nothing that I should complain about. I liked the sustainability and durability of it because I do have grandchildren. It is easy to maintain, too. I was very pleased with the installation process. The installers were very clean. They minimized the dust because with putting down wood, it's a dusty process. They moved the heavy furniture, which I was glad about, and they put it back.

    I would not use Empire Flooring because they use a bunch of unskilled labor and they’re not a company. They told me that they would fix the repairs the subcontractors damage and they didn’t. I had to repaint my and fix the holes myself and the manager of Empire (Kyle) tried lowballing me for my materials and labor. So if you need flooring make sure you use someone other than Empire. I’m really considering ripping the floor up and replacing it.

    Hearing the commercials, I called Empire Today in for an estimate, and I was happy with what they told me, so I went with them. They said they would do the installation within a day. They had to put some kind of leveling material on the kitchen floor and let it dry or set in. Everything went smoothly. I was very happy with it.

    They sold me flooring and showed up with the wrong one. They also sent people that did not know how to install it. Then they ''fixed'' everything and said they would be here today and make everything right. NO CALL. NO SHOW. I ordered a bed for my 85 year old Mom coming into town. I had to cancel that and lost $300 and am all ready playing over $2000 for one little bedroom floor. How dare they treat a long time customer this way! I have spent thousands! I should have paid more attention to the reviews. Since I paid a deposit I just have to hope one day they show up! I have to hire a lawyer. I have to pay for my Mom to stay in a hotel? What a horrible company!!

    I like that Empire Today did everything in one day. That was really important to me because I had to have the house rented by the first. So, I was able to get everything done and get a tenant in there. I had some LVP installed in the living room, the hallway, and two bedrooms. I thought about getting carpet instead, but it was only going to save me maybe $1,700 just to upgrade to the vinyl planks, but not a different company. I was still going to go through Empire for carpet. I used Empire back in like 2017 on a house and they installed carpet that time.

    My salesperson was really nice. I think they got overscheduled. They had one guy that came out and said that he couldn't make it because he went to an appointment, and the guy wanted floors, but he wanted floors in four of his other houses. So, he had to go through all these other addresses, too. They rescheduled my appointment, but they did end up giving me a discount for having to wait. Overall, it was still a good situation. The installers did a really good job. I definitely would use Empire again.

    Empire Today is a rockstar among flooring companies. Recently, I purchased vinyl flooring from them which was installed in the master bedroom. My sister used to work for them and at the time, the price said it was 75% off, so I figured there would be savings right there. I'm one of the original Pergo girls and I'd take vinyl flooring over laminate. It would last 15 years in a kitchen but it shouldn't get it wet because you will ice skate and fall on your ass. My new vinyl flooring is gorgeous. It's cream colored with taupes and grays, and it transformed the room.

    My installer was Freddy, one of my favorite people on the planet. He was adorable. I gave him a hug when he left and he told me God bless me. I told him that in my next room, I'm going to request him. I've also called Empire a bunch of times, waited on hold, and told them how much I loved my floor layer and the guy that sold it to me. There was a little snafu, but it was no big deal. He came down and took care of it.

    We had laminate flooring put in by Empire Today in our home's living room. I got an email that said they were having a sale for “75% off material.” I told my wife I was gonna call them. A gentleman came out. He was polite, brought all his product in, showed us everything, showed us what was on sale, and told us the approximate cost. My wife picked a color and rescheduled for about a week later.

    Everything got installed in about three and a half hours. I had some of the prework done years ago when I was younger and thought I could do this stuff. But then the longer I sit looking at what I did, I didn't like it. So, now I've got it done. It's nice now. The installers were efficient, fast, and helped me move my furniture back where I moved it all out of the way for them. So, they were very helpful.

    Even though the original experience went well. I am very dissapointed in the fact that the salesman assured us that the laminate we chose would work best with our cats and dogs. We needed waterproof and scratch resistance. The scratching part seems to be true but the waterproof not so much. I have several areas that have risen or warp because water from the dogs' bowl did get wipe ASAP. My floors are not a year old and look terrible. Mrs B **.

    Terrible company. Just ripped off my disabled husband for three thousand dollars. We have no floors put in, but they took our money. A very high pressure salesperson, this guy would make a killing in Branson. Installers can't speak english, or won't. Urinated all over my toilet. A real piece of s*** company.

    I had LVP installed in three bedrooms and a master bath. I'm was going do it myself, but I decided to look for someone to come in and do it. I had Empire Today's Guy come out and he shared the information with me. He told me what my options were, explained the whole financing piece to me, and took the measurements. Then, we went ahead and moved forward with the order. On install day, the guys came in and took a look at the rooms. They took some measurements, talked about what the job looked like, laid out some protective items on the flooring to make sure that there was no damage to other parts of the house, and started doing their demo. They did a great job and they got the installation done in two days. So, I was happy about that.

    Empire Today was very efficient. The team that came out worked hard and didn't make a mess. They were very respectful of my home and the lead guy was very personable. So, that made it all a lot easier. Also, the floor looks great and it's holding up so far. The price was reasonable and I didn't have any problem with it. Their website was good, too. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the workmanship and the customer care provided.

    I'm loving my laminate flooring that Empire Today in installed in four bedrooms. At the time of my purchase, I had two other quotes lined up, then I canceled them because I've seen the commercials of Empire and when they came, they were so thorough. The salesperson was very clear and helpful that he made us feel very secure with what we were doing. The installer was also wonderful and it took him three days to finish up. He had a helper who came and left, then on the third day, his helper showed up again. He told him that if he couldn't be there on time every day, he didn't need the help. So, he finished himself and he was very thorough. he was also polite and well-mannered. We were very comfortable with him.

    Dealing with Empire's website was a challenge because I'm technically challenged. Being older, I didn't grow up with all this like kids today and it makes it a little hard. But other than that, it was a good experience all around and I wish I had done it a long time ago. We've been here for 18 years and I've been meaning to replace this carpeting out in the bedrooms for a few years now. It just took time to get me to make that move. Our new floors are so easy to clean and we were very surprised with the cost.

    Empire Today was amazing. The first time I used them was up in my home in Grass Valley and I had such a positive experience. The price was right, the product was fantastic, and everything was good. So, I used them again for the second time and I didn't consider anybody else. The salesperson, Daisy, who assisted me was phenomenal and she understood what I was trying to accomplish. She listened and everything she said, she delivered. There was no puffery and she was incredibly professional. Steve, the dispatcher, was great. There was a slight hoopty, and we were moving and we were pressed. But he was extraordinary as far as getting things scheduled and people there. Kudos to him. We had flooring, carpet, and baseboard installed in the entire house, except for the master bedroom. So, the installation took place in three bedrooms, the living room, kitchen, and dining room. I was also super happy with the installation and I have no complaint.

    Empire Today is a solid company because they do what they say and say what they do. For me, that's everything these days. I get tired of people promising and not delivering. I'm also very happy with my new flooring. The price was very competitive because my wife called around and their price was good. I'll use them again if I ever need any flooring and I tell everybody about Empire Today. They're doing everything right and hopefully, they don't change.

    I ordered a tile flooring for our hallway and a wall-to-wall rug for our family room. When Empire Today's salesperson came, he brought the samples and we were able to touch them, so we knew what we were getting. For the family room where everybody hangs out, we wanted something that was durable because we have dogs. We also wanted something that was easy to vacuum. The sales rep was very clear in his explanations, he showed us our options, and we found what we wanted. Their prices also seemed competitive with Home Depot's and Lowe’s.

    Empire Today was very good and they came on time for the installation. They did their job, then they cleaned up nicely, and they left. We are happy with what they installed. It feels good walking on the rug and the dogs like it as well because they sleep on the rug rather than their dog bed. The color is nice and true to what the sample looked like. Even the product they put in the hallway looked almost the same as what we’ve had before. So, we were happy with that. Also, there was a lot of communication back and forth, whether it was emails or telephone calls, from Empire's reps.

    I reached out for a quote in May of 2023 due to advertising of the $99 a room sale. The salesperson came out and although nice and relatable was pushy. I went with an alleged better quality floor so did not get the $99 sale. I kept threatening to walk and ultimately talked them down about $3k but still overpaid for it to be falling apart 3 years later.

    Empire Today installed luxury vinyl flooring in my home. We called them up and they sent a representative out right away and we felt the price was reasonable and we went with them. The salesperson was really a delight. She was very thorough and demonstrated all the different floorings. They did the flooring in the living room, in the hallway, and the stairs. I like that it's waterproof and has durability and it doesn't scratch. The only thing I thought was odd is the installer came by himself. His worker was sick both days and it took a while to get the floor installed, but he did a beautiful job with installing the floor. We love the floor. We think it's great. We would recommend Empire.     When Empire Today came, they took measurements first, and they asked what I was looking for. Then based on that, they brought in their samples, and they made suggestions. We were able to take a look at everything and touch the samples that they had. Then from there, they gave us the pricing. I liked their pricing and the discount available. I had them install vinyl flooring in the kitchen and laundry area. We had a little bit of a hiccup during the installation. They had the wrong sizing for baseboards because when they ripped out the flooring, there was nothing behind it. It was just a bare wall. So it was tearing up the wall. I had to go out and get baseboards that were the right size for it.

    While I was getting baseboards, I didn't see if they just put the flooring on top of the original laminate flooring. But my grandparents didn't mention if they fixed the original issue that we had on the floor. It was a small section. They mentioned that nothing was in the pricing, but I was told that it was included in there. Other than that, they were great. The top part looks fantastic. Everything went really well. They were very kind when they put the flooring in, and they got it done in a good time. It took about four hours. They were there on time. Overall, it was a quick and convenient process from sales to installation. I'll definitely use Empire Today again. I would definitely recommend it. You get someone out very quickly for sales, and you get installation done pretty quickly, within a week or less.

I live in a condominium and the unit upstairs had a leak, and it fell into my bathroom from the fan. I had a cheap floor put in before and it came up. The gentleman said the new flooring they installed was waterproof. It was beautiful and everything was very good. I’m very satisfied with it.     Empire Today installed hardwood floors in my living room about five years ago. This time, they did the carpet in the bedroom on my first floor. I like the color and the quality of the flooring. The installation team was good. It didn't take them long to do it. The two times that I used the service, I was very pleased with it. Overall, the marketing was good, but some of the pricing was high. I didn't think the pricing should have been that high for some of the stuff I was looking at.

    I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the flooring I purchased from this company. Despite being only two years old, the floors are already covered in nicks and showing significant wear. To make matters worse, they no longer even carry this specific product, leaving me with a 'cheap' result and no easy way to fix it. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their flooring needs. Save your money and find a different contractor who stands by their materials. Save the automated "please contact us" reply. I have already reached out and received no actual support. Empire Today has failed to address the damage to my floors or acknowledge the seriousness of my concerns.

    I used Empire Today in a house that I sold and then also in the house that I purchased. So, I used the same salesperson for both houses. He listened to my needs, and he made recommendations. I did not buy the same type of carpet with this long warranty in the house that I was selling. So, he worked with me on understanding what my requirements were. I had laminate and carpet installed this time. The laminate was installed in an office and in a laundry room and bathroom. The carpet was installed in the stairway and the bedroom. I chose the thickest pad and carpet because I was moving into a new home, and I did not wanna have to replace it in the next 10 years. So, I wanted something that has a long warranty.

    The installation went well. The installers for both the carpet and the laminate were really very good. They were efficient. They got the job done really well. In the area where I had the laminate done, they took a lot of care into matching the tiles correctly so that it looked really very good. The only frustration I have with Empire Today is that they cannot provide you with an even four-hour window of when your installation will occur. So, I was at the location for the whole day, and that was frustrating for me because a whole day is long.

    Overall, I had an excellent experience. They were very responsive and came out quickly. I had the carpeting or flooring done within a week. They were very prompt, and the quality of the installation was excellent. I have recommended Empire Today a couple of times to other friends and relatives, telling them that the products are as they sell them. They did not mislead us in any way on the products. But I would warn them about the scheduling issue.

    I was happy with the work that Empire did and everything is going well. I had hardwood floor installed. I got different quotes, and I ended up going with Empire because they matched the numbers that I was interested in. The rep I worked with was very punctual and professional and she was able to work with me as far as the product that I was looking for in the timeline of the installation. She was great. The installation lasted two days they said it was gonna last. The guys were here and moved my furniture and went beyond and installed padding in all my furniture so that it was easier to move and not scratch the flooring. The installers were very nice. They also had good pricing, and they were professional, and they have good quality items. And I will hire them again if I need any more flooring. I would definitely recommend them to friends. One of my friends came to see my floor, and she liked it. She was supposed to be contacting them for a quote for herself.

    I had laminate flooring installed in three bedrooms and two baths. I've used Empire Today before and I decided to use them again for this project. Everything was good and I have no complaints. I would recommend them. With Empire, they'll come in and get things done in a day. With local contractors, they come one day and say they'll be back the next day, but then three days later they come back and finish.

    I had LVPs installed by Empire Today. I had a salesman come out to the home. The installers arrived a little before the stated time, which was fine. I was ready for them. The guys were very nice and they were gentle with all the stuff that they had to move. The only thing I wish had not happened is they spoke in a different language between the two of them in front of me and it made me self-conscious, because I didn't know what they were saying to each other. If they spoke English the whole time they were here, that would have been better. But they left the house, put everything back what I wanted them to, swept the floor, picked up any debris and were in and out. It was 8:30 in the morning, took an hour or so for lunch, and left 5:30 in the afternoon.

    Once they got the flooring that they were taking up, the actual subfloor was damaged so they had to put down some new luan before they could put the floor down. That added $2,000 to the price of the job. I did not anticipate spending over $9,000 for the kitchen or even the hall. The price was a little high. But they were here, they were ready to do it, and I was, "Yep, let's get her done." I understand why the price had to go up.

    Empire Today’s ads are all over the place but they don’t have a showroom, and I wanted to look at the product in my hand and see it without the heavy-duty sales pitch. So I looked at other companies. But I at least needed to se what Empire was going to do. I had the salesman come out and he was very nice. I told him what I wanted, found it, and he brought it. So, Empire got the job. When he did the presentation, I already had my mind made up and I cut him off. But it should not be held against the company. The installation went remarkably fast. There were three guys for three rooms, so they had a good system.

    Empire told me to have my check ready, because you pay 50% and then you pay the other 50% after. But their system couldn't read the check. It couldn't even do an electronic check. So, I had to whip out the credit card and go through all the information again for the credit card. It all worked out in the end, but Empire may want to make certain that its system works. And the installer told me that every time they get a check, it never works when they’re told it will. So after a few tries, I just gave a credit card. Overall, the price was good, and the customer service was great.

    I used Empire's services to remove all the existing hardwood and install subflooring and LVP in my new home in 2023. DO NOT make the same mistake that I made. The salespeople will come in and lie straight to your face in your own home, and you will be stuck fighting with EXTREMELY rude and sexist customer service representatives 3 years later. The salesperson told me that the installation would be complete in 1 day. AT the end of the 1 day, the workers left and left my bed, torn apart, exposed sub flooring, and nails lying around my house. I had to fight with customer service and book a hotel room, as well as file a formal complaint against the salesperson who lied to me and then never picked up my calls or answered a text when I was trying to get this sorted out, and had nowhere to sleep.

    This same salesperson told me that they were waiving the fee of the 5 year service warranty for me. I even sent a text confirming that the price he shared included removal, installation of subfloor, installation of LVP, and a 5-year warranty, which he said yes. 3 years later, after trying to file a warranty claim for faulty planks, I was told that I do not have a warranty. Empire quoted me $4,000 for the repairs of faulty boards in 3 areas of my home (half the cost of the original full job), when it was their salesperson, standing in my kitchen lied to me. Absolutely atrocious behavior, and I recommend going elsewhere for better quality, service, and lower price.

    I had carpet installed in four rooms upstairs, the hallways and the stairs, and it went well. Empire Today said it would be done in seven hours and although it took longer than that, it was fine. The installer busted his butt out here late night getting it all wrapped up fast for us.     I informed the salesman I had dogs and I was concerned about the nails with carpet. I was recommended by the salesman a type of carpet for my living room which was “pet safe”. Their pet safe is for urine not nails! I have complained about the carpet pulling up in several areas and they suggested I pay for them to fix it! This is not acceptable! Please make sure you get the product that is correct for your home. Empire has still not responded to my last email over a month ago. Don’t use them!!

    The installers that I had were brilliant. I am pleased with the work that they did. The installation was quick. However, right by the closet where they had put some silicone, I noticed the silicone is lifting. But I am pleased with it. I just wish I had chosen a lighter laminate. When the rep came, he didn't have a wide variety for me to choose from. The one I chose is a little dark, but I'll get used to it. I would recommend Empire Today to a friend because the price that I got from the sales rep was a little cheaper than Home Depot. But when the guys came in to do my work, the floor wasn't level, so they had to level it off which cost me an extra couple of dollars that I didn't intend on spending. Other than that, the two young men worked wonders.

    I used them to install some laminate on my staircase, and I made the horrible mistake of rehiring them to install Engineered LVP in my foyer, kitchen and family room. It was the worst experience. Actually, experience from HELL. The contractor did not do what he was paid to do, however I was charged for it. I reached out to Empire management, and they did not believe when I advised the contractor never removed my old flooring before installing the new floors, although I was charged and paid to have removal of old flooring.

    After SEVERAL attempts to get my floors reinstalled, they only agreed after charging me an additional $500 after I already paid almost $1200 to have the old floors removed, and $8000 for the new install. The contractor that DID NOT REMOVE the old flooring should have been charged/billed not ME!!!! PICS BELOW OF HOW THEY DIDN'T REMOVE MY OLD FLOORING, AND PICS WHEN THEY CAME BACK AND REMOVED AND I WAS CHARGED AGAIN!!!!

    I had carpeting in a basement rec room, a bedroom, a hallway and stairs. Empire Today did a fine job. However, I had pet damage. We inherited my mother's cat so I wanted the best carpet for animals that I could get. From what the rep showed me on those little squares, I picked one out. But once they installed it, I said, "I don't think that was the right color. I don't think it was the right one." But we ended up taking it. I'm not totally happy with it.

    I had a choice of two or three and I said, "I think it had more brown in it." Whether they gave me the one with the number underneath it or above it, I don't know. And there's no way I can go back and fix that. I wanted it as close to what I originally had there before. It had some brown in it and this one doesn't have browns in it and that's what I told them. It's more grays in it. The guy showed it to me in the truck and I said, "I guess that's it." But when I put it in, I said, "That doesn't look right." But at that point, they were already installing it. I said, "How do you go back and check?" They said, "It's this number." I said, "Okay, that's what, I guess, I ordered." But it's not. I like the feel and quality of it. Hopefully, it cleans up as well for animals. I like what it's supposed to do, but Empire Today can improve with samples.

    I liked the knowledge of Empire Today's sales rep, the quality of the carpet, and the way they built up the company. They sent two guys and the installation went without a hitch. Once the carpet got done, it was beautiful. It changed the look of my living room and the bedrooms. We were satisfied with it. However, a week later we noticed that in one of the bedrooms, once we closed the door, we saw a stain behind it. They installed carpet on the stairs, leading to the second floor. And on several of the stairs, you can see where the carpet has started to come up.

    I called Empire to try to get some resolution. They told me I had to take some pictures, and send them. If they couldn't tell by the pictures, they would send somebody out to look at it. I said to a lady, “I don't know if you realize, but it sounds like you're saying that I'm lying. If I'm telling you the carpet is coming up, why won't you send somebody out here to look at it?” I followed along. Did the pictures. It was on the 9th, and I haven't got any resolution. I kept calling the office here in Cleveland. No answer. I've called Empire's corporate number. They answered and told me to file the claim. But it wasn't until yesterday that we got an email that they wanted me to send more pictures. So, I did that foolishness all over again. Somebody was supposed to contact me today. That hasn't happened. I paid them everything they asked for with no problem. And they promised that if there was any problem with the carpet, they'll take care of it, but that hasn't happened.

    One of my friends told me that she got a carpet installed and I was hesitant. But with the 75% off, I thought I would find out what was going on. When I contacted the person to come here and I was well-satisfied with what they gave me as a price, I said, "Okay, you can do it." My carpet is installed. It was two guys and they were excellent. They took care of everything. They took care of my furniture well. They didn't damage anything and they did a great installation.

    A few days before the carpet was ready to be installed, Empire Today contacted me and said the carpet I had picked was no longer available, that I had to pick another one, and they would keep me at the same price that they gave me for the first carpet.     Another company's price was too much for us to afford. Empire Today had the 75% off. So, we decided, “Let's see how much they’ll charge us.” The rest is history. We had the luxury vinyl planking installed in our kitchen. I'm happy with it. It's very good quality. It's easy enough to clean. I went online, and I ordered the cleaner specifically for vinyl planking floor. You have to go over it every day. Looks like a dry Swiffer. It picks up little things. But when you go to wash the floor, it's not an issue. We reported to Empire that the installers messed up our dishwasher. It's out of alignment. The dishwasher was attached to the counter, and they broke off the bracket and the piece of wood from underneath the counter splintered.     My experience with Empire Today was flawless. There was an issue and we managed to resolve it. The team was very courteous and the consultant was knowledgeable. My wife is happy with the flooring we picked. The other parties that I contacted were either flaky or very expensive. I misunderstood what the salesperson said about the plywood that goes under the layer of the floor. So when I was told that I had to pay for it, I was a little upset.     I got a list of pros in my area and I interviewed three, Empire Today being one of them. I found what they could do and the product they had seemed better than the other two. So I chose them. The presentation was very comfortable and there was no high pressure of any kind. The reps and I talked about what I wanted to do and how big of an area I wanted. They brought samples of tiles for me to select from. We talked about timing and preparation and what my responsibility would be in terms of moving things. They assured me that they would move anything heavy. Then, we talked about financing.

    The installation was a two-man crew and took two days. The installers removed all the old tile and prepared the floor. They put the automatic leveling stuff on the day before the first day and then, they came back and completed the installation the second day. I was very pleased with the quality and I've had lots of compliments on the outcome. They did a very good job. The price was very competitive with the other companies. So I was pleased.

    I liked that Empire Today came to my home and showed me samples. If a particular sample wasn't available, they upgraded it and showed us a better fabric at the same price. If there were any issues, they were looking to make it better. So that experience made it for me and I'm usually a harsh critic. The installation was perfect. There was only one guy and not only did he do it by himself, but he did it to perfection. This guy had a 9 x 12 feet folded-up rug on his back, bringing it in by himself. He was about 5'6" in stature and this rug was twice his size. He was a genius. Once everything was done, it looked beautiful. I was sending images to my wife and she was thrilled on the other side. The price was very fair and the customer service person was fantastic.

    This upcoming September will be two years since we had flooring installed. Called a week ago about a plank the was popping up. As of today they called back and stated that the warranty was only good for a year despite the contract saying it's a five year warranty. Quoted almost 300 dollars to reattach the plank with our own material. The flooring system for a normal living room and small bedrooms was 8k. Never again and I will be reporting to the BBB and filing a small claims action immediately. Buyer beware.

    We had laminate flooring and also carpet installed by Empire. We went with them previously for some other sections in the house. We decided to go with them again because we've been happy last time. We also liked their products that were offered. The waterproof laminate was installed on the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and the half bath on the first floor. The stairs going from the first floor to the second floor was the carpet. Then on the second floor, we did the hallway at the top of the stairs, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom in the laminate.

    The installers were here for 15 hours. They were fantastic. I couldn't believe they were able to get it done in one day, but they had. They had a team of three. They worked hard, they were very efficient, and they worked well together. They were polite, kept everything neat and clean as they went and cleaned up at the end. When they left, we didn't have to do any cleanup. It was just a matter of us putting back the next day all the stuff we've taken out.

    My experience with Empire Today was good. The floor came out nice. We did laminate flooring in the kitchen, bedroom, and the bathroom. The workers were very efficient. They did everything, and they cleaned up. I had got an estimate from another one, but I chose Empire because they brought more samples for me to see. Also, the other person wasn't a large company, and they didn't even measure. They just gave me an estimate and gave me a price. So, I didn't like what they did. I love the flooring.     Empire Today is our go-to. Great service, great turnaround, great communication, and awesome installation. We used them almost 10 years ago. We liked their service for the first time. Their prices were reasonable on the first impression. Service was great and we still had a good impression of them. We tried it again and the price and service were also great. We had carpet installed on the whole second floor and stairs. We met the rep and it took two weeks before the installers came and it was two people for the installation of the carpet. It was immaculate. The installers matched the color perfectly, where every room is on a row where nothing is out of order. The carpet color that we got was a two-tone mix.     I've had carpet installed on three bedrooms, an office and a den. I used Empire. I took a look at some other local carpet places in the area. In one particular place, they wanted 1,900 for a carpet and pad in a 300-square-foot room. So, I called Empire and they did those six rooms for about 5,100. They installed everything in one day. Two people did the installation. The process took between three and a half and four hours in six rooms. They cleaned up after themselves. They moved the furniture that was there, and they moved the furniture back after they were done. There was no trash left in my house.

    They brought exactly what I picked out, and it's a very high-quality install. After they did the install, they vacuumed it and combed everything, so it looked uniform. It didn't look like a lot of footprints were walking all over it. So everything was looking very nicely. The presentation was the best thing that I could talk about. Overall, Empire was very professional and prompt. They exceeded my expectations, because when they came in, there were no qualms about moving the furniture and moving it back. That was the biggest thing.

    DO NOT USE EMPIRE!! They are completely terrible. First the guy shows up and starts job, then never shows up the next day to finish!!! Finally the manager gets someone to finish the next day. It has been 11 months since they did my floor. I have gaps in the planks and all edges are wearing!. I have called and sent the pics they asked for. They finally call and set up apt to look at it, then they cancel and make another apt and then they cancel again!!! I am contacting BBB, Better Business Bureau and a attorney. They absolutly do not take care of customer and follow through with their word. DO NOT USE!!

    Our salesman, Nick S. was a disappointment. My son had taken off all the old carpeting upstairs including the staircase. The risers on the stairs were slightly damaged and we brought this up to Nick when he stopped by. We were told it would not be a problem and everything would be taken care of upon installation. Days later we were still uncomfortable with his answer and called him back. The call was returned two days later and we were told to give the installers some money and they would fix the problem when the flooring was put down.

    After numerous calls to Empire we were finally told they do not do any repairs but would skip the stairs and only do the rooms upstairs. Not happy with this answer at all. We cancelled the job and went with a more reputable company. If we were told all this upfront we would have continued with the order but with the lies, we were out. The funny thing is we were going to also have the living room/dining room done a few weeks later. Sorry you missed out on your commission!

    We have just had our 3rd installation with Empire Today...the last time was just over 12 years ago when it was so much better. This time was a nightmare because of the sales agent being extremely hard to reach as well as extremely misleading. SHE never returned calls. Never followed through on anything and gave such false info regarding financing that it has caused tremendous stress on my husband who has various health conditions and this is not good for a healthy person never mind someone in his condition.... Also SHE lied saying it would be Empire doing the work but it was in fact a subcontrator.... We are so stressed right now and disappointed. We had our previous home and half of current home done with Empire and it was wonderful. This time is so different and I can only say it must largely be because of HER. Otherwise the company itself has gone down the toilet.

    Beware, Let me start by saying we purchased vinyl planks for the entire house and carpet for the stairs. I was very happy with the installation and had no issues. However, six months or so after the installation, I had a small chip come off of the vinyl plank floor not for sure how it happened. However nonetheless, it’s a chip out of the floor. So we have lifetime on the vinyl, plank, installation warranty, and the regular warranty through Empire and we also purchased the extended warranty coverage. We called to get it fixed, we were told that the installation was done correctly and because I couldn’t identify how the chip happen they said it was not an accidental warranty coverage. To make the story short they are not gonna cover the damage plank. Empire has a sister company which is called Luna.

    This was written as a warning to everyone out there. Empire has found their loophole to not repair the floor. I’m sure if this was a major issue. The same thing would probably happen. If you decide still to use this company, make sure everything is correct before they leave. Otherwise, you may fall in the same situation. I am in and I do not recommend purchasing the extended warranty. I paid almost $800 and it’s worthless. They won’t even fix a chip. I’m sure they’ll find a way not to fix whatever issues you have at a later date after installation. Also, I seen that Empire replied to my review in Google and said that they were in conversation with me to resolve the issue. Be aware any reply is not the truth. They have told me they absolutely will not fix it.

    I would NOT recommend Empire Carpet. Please read why: In September 2025, I purchased carpet for my family room from salesperson Lucie. Lucie met both me (a 60-year-old male) and my 55-pound dog—she even played with my dog during the visit. I explained to her that I was redoing the family room after my wife passed away in that room. I specifically asked if the carpet I was buying would last 20 years. Lucie assured me it came with a lifetime warranty.

    About a month after installation, I noticed a snag in the carpet (that’s how I described it). I called Empire several times to get someone to come out and fix it. Then, in January 2026—roughly five months after installation—a second snag appeared. After I called again, Empire contacted me in a very rude manner, asking what I was doing to the carpet since “this is the second issue.” I reminded them that it is only my dog and me in the house—the same dog and customer that Lucie met and interacted with when she sold me the carpet.

    I have had to contact Empire multiple times trying to get someone to come out or even return my calls. Every time I reach out, they claim they have called me—but my cell phone shows no calls from any Empire number, and no one ever leaves a voicemail. Strangely, they had no trouble reaching me when they wanted to blame me for the problem. They told me I would receive a letter by US mail, but of course that never arrived either.

    I have used Empire 3 times and never had a claim. I recently had a claim as something fell on floor. I was told they have lifetime warranty. They denied the claim so their warranty is worthless. I will never use them again and will actively encourage others never to use them. Hard to believe a customer who has used them 3 times would be denied. Horrible for their business.

    Our installer was fantastic! Unfortunately I do not remember his name, but he was so thorough and complete. We had ordered a beautiful tile for our 2 bathrooms but requested installation after the holidays. The young man arrived on time, covered his shoes with booties and immediately went to work. The old toilets were taken out, the floor installed, molding went up, and new toilets installed. Everything was removed and hauled away. No muss, no fuss. The young man was just awesome.     I wish I could recommend this company but our experience was terrible. Sales person, Bobbie, had no clue what the installers actually do and did not explain what the final install would look like. Installers broke a piece of furniture. They tried to fix it with out saying anything and completely destroyed the piece. Bobbie promised to call us back to let us know what they were going to do for us but we haven't heard from her. That was 4 days ago. Bobbie's managers didn't have time to give her a solution, they were too busy in meetings. You have to pay in full before the install is complete so Empire holds all the cards. They don't care about you or the vendors they hire. If you don't sign off on the job, they just don't pay their installers (who are subcontractor with crews that are not supervised unless you complain). Overall a terrible experience.

    I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received from Empire regarding the replacement of my kitchen floor. The installation initially appeared fine; however, after mopping the floor for the first time, the surface began to bubble and warp. I contacted Empire’s customer support and was instructed to send photos of the issue, which I did promptly. After submitting the photos, I did not receive any follow‑up communication for several days. When I called again, I was told I would receive a call within a day, which did not occur.

    Eventually, when I was finally able to speak with someone, I was informed that the damage would not be covered under my warranty and that I would need to pay out of pocket for repairs. I was also told that I was outside the 15‑day period, which I find unreasonable given the circumstances and the delays in communication on Empire’s end. I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of the flooring and the lack of timely customer support. It is unacceptable that I am now expected to pay for repairs to a floor that became defective almost immediately after installation. Based on this experience, I will not be using Empire’s services again.

    We had carpets d kitchen flooring installed. The carpet is ok but the kitchen plank flooring came with ants living it and they refused to help. We had a pest control co. out and they have applied poison but it is helping for now and may have to be done again due to the ants eating the wood in it. Do not use this co.     My boyfriend and I recently moved to Perry and hired Empire Today to redo all the flooring in our home. We expected professionalism from a well-known company, but instead we experienced incorrect measurements, unexpected charges, damaged walls, and zero follow-through from customer service.

    Our sales representative, Mohamed **, assured us that everything would be handled correctly. We signed our contract on 4/15/2025 based on the measurements and pricing he provided. After installation began, we found out that he measured incorrectly, resulting in thousands of dollars in additional costs that were never disclosed or agreed to in the original contract. This alone felt extremely sketchy and dishonest.

    The installation quality made everything worse. After the laminate was installed, we discovered deep holes in our wall and chunks of drywall missing from multiple corners—clear signs of careless, unprofessional work. I contacted managers on 4/17/25, sent photos, and was promised repairs, but no one ever showed up. Then came the carpet installation. The carpet is lifting at the transition from our bedroom to the bathroom, and the installers removed our trim but never replaced it, leaving exposed jagged edges throughout our master bedroom. Despite more calls, we received no response and no resolution.

    As a young couple who trusted this company during a major home renovation, we feel taken advantage of. Between the incorrect measurements, unexpected extra costs, damage to our home, and complete lack of customer service, this has been one of the worst customer experiences we’ve ever had. If you value honesty, accurate pricing, and professional workmanship, avoid Empire Today at all costs.

    I normally don’t leave reviews, but after two bad experiences with Empire Flooring, I feel it’s important to share. I originally hired Empire to install laminate planks. Unfortunately, the material and the installation did not last long at all — the planks began separating and buckling. Even though I was disappointed the first time, I decided to give the company a second chance about ten years later and had them replace the floor with vinyl planks.

    Within two years, the exact same issues started happening again. The planks continued to separate and buckle. I purchased an extended warranty the second time, but the coverage was extremely selective and not clearly explained at the time of the sale. When I reached out for help, I was told that many of the issues were not covered.

    To make things worse, the planks are no longer available, so matching the damaged areas has become impossible. I contacted Empire multiple times for an estimate to replace the damaged sections. After several calls and emails, they simply stopped responding. It’s very frustrating to be ignored after investing so much money and trusting their warranty.     We trusted Empire Today because we had purchased flooring from them before, and we were told the new floor we chose was waterproof. Not long after installation, the planks began to buckle in places where no water had ever been. We reached out for help right away and spent the next year following every step the company asked us to take. They sent multiple people to look at the floor, and each time we hoped the issue would finally be addressed.

    Even after doing everything they requested, the final response was that the problem was our fault and the repairs would only be done at our expense. For a floor that was sold to us as waterproof and high quality, this has been discouraging and costly. I’m sharing this so others know our experience and can make an informed decision. We expected honesty and support, and we did not receive either in this process.

    The main reason we are not going with your product is that you didn’t listen to the fact that we were absolutely not making a decision on the day of the appointment. The pressure applied was unnecessary and gross - turning us off of your product. The sales rep calling the manager in front of us and then having me repeat the fact that we were not ready to make a decision - was inappropriate and unprofessional. Once the sales rep heard we weren’t making a decision that day, he became frustrated and would not even look at us. He was nice up until that point. You all really need to change your aggressive tactics. We are going with a more friendly company that isn’t pressuring us. We would never recommend this company.

    To avoid a headache, don’t choose Empire. Our carpet is 3 weeks old and we went with the grand reserve. Issue 1: carpet is lifting in a corner means poor installation. Issue 2: this carpet was sold to us being pet friendly as a special feature was “pup pet urine protection”, good for high traffic areas, and dirt resistant. Our dog had 1 urine accident, we watched it happen, it was cleaned with a Bissell carpet cleaner twice in 16 hours and there is still a stain on this “pup pet urine protected carpet. Bottom line- Empire lies about the carpets features.

    Issue 3: empire measure incorrectly leaving the installation company unhappy as there was not enough product and the their feelings were taken out on me during installation. Not fair- if empire measured wrong that’s between empire and their installer’s. Bottom line- poor communication and inability to take accountability.

    Issue 4: the carpet/dust/allergens/VOCs/chemicals are causing allergic reactions on my body. I have gone to the doctor who confirmed the rashes and hives are due to environment factors and the only change in our environment is the carpet. After a week of calling multiple times a day, having terrible customer service, empire sending an installation manager to review the carpet- they are saying their product is not at fault and they will not provide a carpet steam cleaning. When I asked what the solutions will be they said possibly removing and installing new carpet- BUT WAIT they first said it’s not their product. I have a lot more I could type for this issue but let’s leave it at Empire is AGAIN NOT TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY nor putting the customer first in offering anything to resolve the issue.

    I would not do business with this company again. Over the years, their quality and customer service have gotten worse. Since 2020, I’ve spent roughly $50,000 with them and had work done on four different houses without any issues—until now. Recently, I had LVP flooring installed, and it appears to have been done incorrectly. The installers did not properly clean or sweep the floor before laying the planks, which caused debris to be trapped underneath. As a result, the flooring is uneven and some planks are chipped from normal foot traffic. You can clearly see that the damage is due to poor installation.

    I’ve been communicating with the company by email for almost three weeks, but they keep giving me the runaround. They finally sent someone out to inspect the floor, and that person confirmed it appeared to be a product issue. However, the company is now claiming that because the property is a rental, the warranty does not apply—even though the damage occurred in less than a year. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend steering clear of this company. Their quality and accountability have declined significantly, and they do not stand behind their work and if it's a rental it voids the warranty which I was never told.

    Extremely disappointed with Empire Carpet and their false promises. I was told by the sales rep that the carpet I chose would not snag and would hold up well — that’s why I went with it. To be extra safe, I even purchased the warranty. Less than a year later, the carpet started snagging and looks terrible. When I filed a warranty claim, it was denied, even though I followed all care instructions and the damage was exactly what I was told wouldn’t happen. I spent over $10,000 on this carpet, expecting quality and honesty. Instead, I’m stuck with a poor-quality product and a company that refuses to stand behind their own sales promises or warranty.     I will give them a 0 if I could. Bad experience all around. The crew didn’t show up until almost 11 am when they did. Told the floors will be done in 7 days by the salesperson. Then, 14 days by the person leading the crew. It has been three weeks and still not done. Sent messages were told “will look into it”. After complaining, told will be done on Monday, Friday still not done. After more complaints, told be done Saturday. Today is Saturday, not done and actually nobody working. The crew and management don’t care about the job or the customers. We have been renting an apartment and now a hotel. They have cost us a lot a money and headaches. Don’t use this company in Arizona. They are the worst.

    Had LVP floor install in the first floor of my house, they charged 12k with a year warranty. After 18 months the floors started separating, cracking planks, chipping edges in multiple areas. Empire refused to honor their work and tried every way to get out of fixing them. Now after >3 years I will have to spend a few more grand to fix the floors they installed. They do not stand by their products, installation, and demonstrated poor customer services. Do not hire them for a job.

    UPDATED ON 10/14/2025: A week after telling Consumer Affairs they'd contact me and fix things. They called and offered me a $2 spot cleaning kit. When reminded that I had been promised $200 in cleaning supplies over a year ago, and a $100 Visa for referring my neighbor to them, they answered by asking "Do you have that in writing?" Obviously, that was not acceptable.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW: They lie. The salesman told us that Empire would supply us with about $200 worth of cleaning supplies for our new LVP flooring. After the job was completed they said you get the supplies after the first year (which makes no sense). Well the first year has come and gone and still no cleaning supplies. Also, I made the mistake of recommending them to my neighbor, for which I was promised a $100 Visa card. Of course that didn't happen either. Btw, my neighbor's Laminate floor buckled after a couple of weeks. I haven't heard if they fixed the problem.

    I had Empire Today do carpeting in one part of my house and wood flooring that you could step on if you had dirty shoes instead of a rug. The only thing is the website was hard for me to follow. It just showed me pictures of carpets, but it didn’t describe the quality or anything else about them. But in a lot of places, carpeting is about the same. Empire Today and got better quality and a very thick pad because no matter what carpet you get, a thick pad will make all the difference in the world.

    The carpet is nice, and feels good under my old feet, and the men who installed it were phenomenal. They were friendly, they worked together, and they were a good pair. If I had carpeting put back in again, I would be asking for those two gentlemen to do it.

    The man who did the wood did something there I will never forget. He had a running nose, and instead of asking for tissue, he used his fingers to blow his nose, and snot was all over his face and on the fake grass in front of my house. I walk barefoot on that grass. So, I found it unprofessional.

    Empire installed tile flooring in five rooms. I had it done on all separate times so I had a different experience each time. The first time around, it was really great and the installer was amazing. But they outsource to third parties and the installers are different each time. It wasn’t really a reflection on Empire.

    We had an issue in my bathroom that I needed to be rectified. The installer was supposed to come back and finish the bathroom flooring and finish some of the pieces they didn’t get to in my kitchen. But when the guy came out, he only did the bathroom and not the kitchen.

    I had to have them come back out again. But this is a problem because they give 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM windows. I work and have three kids. I have to be there when they arrive and when they leave because I have to sign something. I had to cancel a lot of times because they didn’t come in the period when it would have been feasible for me. So it really took a very long time for the second time around for my flooring to be completed.

    It was annoying and I don’t understand why they can’t logistically give at least a three-hour window so that I can plan better. I had to constantly cancel and reschedule of the almost 12-hour time period they gave me. We’re finally done but it took several weeks in order to get that completed. The issue I had with Empire was their window is ridiculously large. Overall though, Sean, the salesperson was awesome and I love him. He was really accommodating and he did a great job.

    I had luxury vinyl planking installed on my entire bottom floor. It’s nice and looks better in my house than I thought it would. Installation took one day which is way faster than I thought. They saved my whole week. They came in the time frame that they said over the automated system. And they were done by 5:00. I didn’t do a very thorough check though cause I thought it was gonna be two days so I had planned something later that evening. They missed one spot, so I called Empire and they quickly scheduled me and they came back to finish the one piece I had missed. No questions asked, no nastiness, no attitude. They just did it.

    The lead gentleman on site was polite and the team was quiet. They only broke one thing, but that was my fault because I was rushing the last minute to put stuff up and I didn’t put it in a place where they wouldn’t hit it. But they told me which to me is important. They didn’t hide it. He pointed it right out, showed it right to me and apologized. He had to pay for it out of his own pocket.

    I only checked two other companies but Empire Today was the most economical out of the other two. Also, their marketing is really good. You can remember the phone number because their commercials are everywhere. I did not even have to go to their website.

    This is my second time doing business with Empire Today. They put the flooring in my rental property three years ago. I’ve dealt with their sales guy Orrion twice and he was phenomenal. He is about his business. He even called his supervisor who was not nice. He was rude in front of a customer, and Empire almost lost my business because of the supervisor. I told them to take a conversation offline as they were on speakerphone and I could hear him. He said he knew he was on speakerphone and I couldn’t believe that’s how I was treated. But Orrion took it like a champ. He said that maybe his supervisor was having a bad day and for us to just move on.

    I thought he really liked to keep his job because I’d be looking for another one with that attitude in front of a customer. It's hard to find good service. He followed up with me every single day but not in an annoying or pushy way and I take that to heart.

    If I could give them a negative I would. Ryan was my sales rep. I let him know in the beginning I am a night time worker and I work 7 days a week. I travel. My time was limited to be in 1 place. We agreed but when it came time for install the crew lied, said they called an hour earlier when they called 2 minutes before they were to be here. Then they left 1 person to do the install that didn’t speak any English. I called multiple times 'cause the time was running over. I had to be at work. I couldn’t get him to understand. I ended up calling off from work 12 hours I lost. The work done was horrible. Doors taken off and left. Wall damage. Sloppy dirty.

    My new carpet was pulled up and not reattached at the doorway. He washed his equipment off in my shrubs, left all the trash in front of my house, didn’t remove and I’ve been asking for a manager and have yet to have a call from Kema **. She is too busy as the customer service rep. Told me today she has too many calls to return. I continuously get put off. My house is less than 6 mos old and customer service acts like, "O well" every time I call. I’ll request a call back it will be 1-3 business days. Ryan said his manager is going to call me. Never received a call from any manager. They could care less about their customers… it is a horrible job and Empire does not stand by their work. I would not recommend them to my enemies yet alone family or friends!!!

    There was a quarter sized hole in the carpet. The carpet is not correctly attached at the transition points going from carpet to tile. We vacuumed the carpet separates from the ground.     I've used Empire Today four times before. Recently, I purchased ceramic floor tile from them and the installation is still going on. This is the second day. In the contract, they were supposed to put down cement to level on the first day they show up, but they came with a bunch of wood. Then I had to wait for the whole day for the cement to be delivered, and they wanted to charge me another $1,500. The salesman showed up and said they'd take care of it and that they messed up. So, supposedly, they were going to pay for the cement, then they had to pour the cement last night. Here's the second day and I got three floor tiles down.

    To accommodate them, I missed a day of work yesterday, and I'm going to miss work today, tomorrow, and on Friday. I usually work during the day, but I shifted everything to night time. But then I was told that these guys work late. Yesterday, they were out of here at 4:00, so I could have went to work yesterday at 4:00, but I already canceled work. Now today, I told them I couldn't work because they're going to be here until 8:00, 9 o'clock tonight, but they'll probably be out of here at 4:00.

    They've always done a good job though. The last job they did in my kitchen and dining room where they put the flooring down, they went over insulation on the floor padding, which you can't do with a click tile floor. Then three months later, all the tiles were popping up all over the place. When they came down here to fix it, they said they couldn't do it because it was installed over insulation. So they ripped up the whole thing, put new wood down, and didn't charge me anything. They just threw it all out and got me a new floor. That's why I dealt with them again. So I suppose everything is going to be good today.

    We had LVP flooring installed and we have had numerous issues. In our office where my husband and I sit the flooring under our chairs has lifted, broken and bent corners that cut my foot. We submitted a claim and they denied it claiming it was installation issues. This is the third issue we have had with this flooring and each time we submitted a claim to the claim center they have been denied. If we want the flooring fixed we are being told we will need to call and request new flooring and new installation and pay for it. The flooring they sold us is garbage. They claim it doesn't scratch, warp, bend or dent and we have had all of those issues. We paid for a warranty program apparently for nothing as they refuse to cover any issues by claiming that the issues are not their problem. This cost us $14,000.00 for flooring and service that we will probably have to have ripped up completely and find a quality product and an actual reputable company.

    This was the second time I used Empire Today. I was happy with the service. Empire Today was recommended by a tenant and when the team arrived, they were professional and on time. I have seen the carpet only in pictures because it was on another property. But my tenant is very happy with the outcome. Two properties were scheduled to have installation done on the same day. For the second project, nobody showed up. I guess they got mixed-up with the two properties. When I called to follow up, I didn't get a clear answer on what happened. And when I called to cancel the second project because the tenants moved in and they didn't want the carpet installed, I called and a big deduction was taken out of the project.

    In addition, I did not receive invoices for both projects. I was told they will be emailed. I did not receive an email with the receipt for either one. The one that was completed, I did not receive paid invoice. For the second one, I didn't get the invoice showing the deduction. I was told on the phone that the amount that was held for the cancellation will be applied towards the future project. I didn't get a note or any information that I have the credit for the future project. Other than that, everything worked out very well.

Installation was straightforward and took eight hours. Everyone from Empire Today was very polite and did the job they were supposed to do. The installers did extra by helping me move things around. I thought they would come two hours later than the time that they came. I would have liked to have been shown some carpet transition options for high pile and low pile carpet. That would look a lot nicer. In the hallway, I have low pile flat carpet, and a higher pile in the bedroom. But it all worked out.

    We used Empire Today in the past and we had a horrible experience. I didn't want to use them again, but my wife wanted to. So, we did it. But then it became another horrible experience, so I would never suggest them to anyone. I am disgusted with them and I wouldn't even pick up the phone if they called me. I wouldn't even speak to them because they're just terrible people.

    I purchased carpet from them and the techs said they wanted to be paid in full when they showed up at the door. But I told them that that was never talked about with my sales rep. I told them I already made a deposit, but I couldn't give them the money at the end of the day. They said they wouldn't do the job. I told them that that was unacceptable and they could have cared less. Some woman on the phone was belligerent with me and it was obvious that her boss was already monitoring these phone calls. As I was talking to her, he jumped in in the middle of the conversation and he didn't hand the phone over to her. He was on another line listening, which was very disingenuous, because I would never have another person on the phone and not tell somebody. So, that was very unprofessional, at the least.

    Unfortunately, we had our house redone in a lot of ways and this was holding our process up. I didn't want to go through another couple weeks or more depending on the carpet we wanted. So, I agreed with their condition. But I was out of my mind because they were trying to tell me that I was wrong. When I talked to their sales rep, he said it was in the contract. He sent me a contract that wasn't the real contract. He said it was a only a temporary contract and that they'd send me another one. But he never sent me it. It was appalling that that was how they were doing business to begin with. It doesn't even make sense. So, everything about Empire is just horrific.

    The last time I used them, they said they'd be there at a certain time. But they didn't come at that time. Then they said they'd only be there for a few hours, but they were there until 10 o'clock at night. Also, they didn't have all the products that they said they were going to have. I got an additional thing where when you walk in the front door, there's no carpet, and they would put a little bit of tile down. But they didn't have that. There was another issue with one of the carpets for the bedrooms as well. So they're just not a good company as far as I can see.

    This review does not even deserve 1 star! We have previously purchased carpets from empire three times. Unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 times the same salesperson provided us with the same terrible salesperson service. We were guaranteed that this would not happen again! I took off work for the original installation. The day he called and told me the installers picked up the wrong carpet and needed to reschedule. The rescheduling date was not accommodating at all. I had to take off work again. Both days I was not paid for time off.

    A complaint was called in to Empire, and I was told I would receive a call back within 12-24 hours. That never happened. I called back again and was told the complaint was closed. No one from management/sales/marketing department reached out to even speak to us for a resolution. That is very unprofessional and that is not the way you treat customers. That is bad business. In the future I would not recommend anyone to this company or make any future purchases. A truly dissatisfied customer!

    I went with Empire Today partly because their website and advertising claim they cover accidental damage, like scratches or dings on floors. Unfortunately, that turned out to be very misleading. While moving a treadmill, we accidentally dinged the floor. I filed a claim, only to be told it was denied because their fine print excludes anything that happens during the process of moving furniture or heavy items. This is the opposite of what their advertising leads you to believe. If a company says they cover accidental dings, but then hides behind exclusions that cover the most common causes of those accidents, that’s deceptive. Be very careful before trusting their “protection” promises. I would not recommend Empire Today.

    We went with Empire Today to install solid hardwood flooring throughout our entire home prior to our move in date. After getting multiple quotes, we chose them because they assured us that they could compete the job quickly and seamlessly. We informed them upfront that the timing was extremely important because we are holding off on movers delivering all of our belongings until the floors are completed. They have since completed only part of the floors (over 2 weeks ago) and have continued to push back the rest of the installation - FOR A MONTH - citing that "they are waiting for materials". Again, my entire family (including children) is living in a house with partial flooring and no belongings, due to this company's inability to keep their promise on a $50,000 project, which they had us pay for upfront.

    Today I received another email pushing back the date even further. I have made multiple phone calls, no one can give me answers or help. The managers in the installation department don't call back. The salesman who was supposed to be our "go to guy" for any questions keeps leading us on "I'm working on getting the product for you sooner" but I found out he has made no documentation in their system of our multiple communications. Now I cannot push our movers back any further so my belongings will be delivered before the installation is complete - it unclear when that will ever be. They have my money and I have a disaster in my new home. This is incompetent and purposefully, maliciously misleading business practice at its worst.

    Extremely Disappointed – Poor Quality and Service from Empire Flooring. I purchased luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring from Empire Flooring for my entire first floor, along with their service plan that was supposed to cover issues like peeling, warping, and plank movement. Less than three years later, my floors are already showing serious signs of wear—peeling, warping, and shifting planks that make my home look neglected and embarrassing. When I tried to file a claim under the service plan, I was shocked to be denied—despite the fact that the issues are exactly what the plan is supposed to cover.

    The customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, and I’ve been left with damaged floors and no support. This has been a deeply disappointing experience.     This is a mixed review that averages out to a 2. The actual tile installation was a 5. Beautiful Mercer tile for my entire downstairs professionally laid. The issues are with both pre- and post- work. The salesman told me the installers would cover A/C air intakes and all electronic equipment (A/V and computer workstation). As the entire downstairs was being tiled, I retreated to the upstairs for the day. When I came down, I found a thick coating of dust over all of the electronics. The computer had shut down due to the filters being completely clogged. The A/C intake's filter was brown and totally blocked. After the installers had left I found the kick panel for the dishwasher had been pushed under the dishwasher as it could no longer be reinstalled due to the tile being installed too far under the dishwasher.

    I called my salesperson and left a message, but I never got a call back. The next day I got a call from Empire regarding satisfaction with the job. When I explained the issues, she told me she was filing a claim for compensation and to send pictures of the issues which I did on the same day. It has been two months now. I have asked for updates twice but so far, nothing.

    The Empire Pittsburgh Install Manager, Tony, needs to be replaced with someone who is actually professional, mature and properly trained on how to speak to customers. If Tony is still the install manager or working in operations in another year or two when I need to have carpets replaced in 3 additional rooms, I will not go with Empire again.

    We had what should have been a fairly small install issue that Tony blew out of proportion with his complete mishandling of the situation. I am very understanding that mistakes happen, but how you as an entire company own up to the mistakes and resolve them is the part that matters. And Tony made all of Empire look horrible.

    The small mistake – internal miscommunication on the install drawing where hallway closets were not included on the drawing. My contract does not have drawings in it, and we clearly discussed the closets, pointed them out and they were included in our carpet install (also who doesn’t replace carpets in hall closets? Why would you not match these?). The installers did our basement with no issues, but as soon as they got to the upstairs, they came down to ask about the closets and if they were included. I confirmed they were and asked if they have someone at Empire they can call to work through that with (installers are not Empire employees). He said yes and I honestly thought that was the end of the matter as it should have been.

    Who in their right mind does not just fix that internal mistake on their end without completely infuriating the customer, blaming them and claiming the customer did not properly review the drawing which is not even included in the contract? Instead of it being handled quickly and properly, we heard from the installers about an hour later asking if we had the sales rep’s name because their manager is telling them if it’s not in the drawing they do not have to do it. What kind of cop out and service is that? He really was intent on blowing what should have been a small internal matter completely up. And he kept digging in. I gave them the name of the sales rep (why this install manager could not look it up himself is baffling) and again thought the matter would be handled. Nope.

    The install manager could not get ahold of the sales rep (it was a Saturday) and was completely incapable of handling this matter correctly on his own. The install team stated this issue cannot be resolved until their install manager could get a hold of the sales rep. This is complete bullshit because if the install manager cared about customers, Empire’s reputation and was actually good at his job he would have just handled the matter instead of deciding tiny closets were the hill he wanted to die on. The install team had already started the job, so we had very reasonable questions over if they had to come back to finish the job later would those pieces be considered remnants which would completely void our warranty and is not acceptable.

    I made it very clear to the install team and told them, "I will not sign off on the install being complete until this matter is resolved" and they are welcome to pass that along to their install manager because maybe that will actually light a fire under him to resolve this. I made it clear Empire needs to handle this matter internally and I am happy to speak to their install manager or whoever at Empire I need to in order to make that clear. They called their manager and came back with him on the phone about 10 minutes later. I started with, "I do not care what internal miscommunication occurred but Empire needs to figure this out internally" and immediately Tony was very arrogant and determined to get the last jab in at everything.

    Kind of like a child, he said very arrogantly, "Well it’s between you and the sales rep actually" because that’s the tone he wanted to set for Empire and this conversation. I reiterated the closets were included so if the Sales Rep needs to clear that up internally, Empire needs to work through that. He was very unprofessional and unable to let that go and then went into how it’s not in my contract and I signed my contract without reviewing it and they are not obligated to do it. Let me remind you that this drawing is not part of the contract. I clearly discussed this with the sales rep and we clearly pointed everything out in the walkthrough for him to do the quote. The bedroom that had a closet did not specify closet on the contract so why would the hallway?

    Again this is an internal Empire issue, but instead of representing Empire with professionalism and integrity he just tried to blame the customer (again over tiny closets). I called him out for his attitude and asked why he was the one I was speaking with when there was another way more professional man that I discussed the install with earlier in the week that I preferred to talk with. He claimed that man was his assistant manager which is completely baffling (Empire do better! Your assistant managers should not be more mature, respectful and professional than your managers).

    Anyway, he went on to try and gaslight me and say I started the tone of the conversation and he is just reacting to my tone – again way to represent your company Tony. I reiterated that he is too worried about digging in that this is not his or Empire’s fault (it was clearly Empire’s fault) than correcting the issue. More attitude and unprofessionalism followed by, "I will just have my installers leave and you will not get your carpets at all."

    I don’t know why Empire would want someone like this representing their company. I have lost all respect for Empire and my whole experience was ruined. Again, as long as Tony is still the Install Manager or working in operations, I will not recommend Empire. Mistakes are bound to happen, but how they are handled is extremely important and Tony does not know and is not willing to learn how to properly handle them. It’s a shame because up until Tony entered the picture, my experience with Empire was fantastic.

    Oh and also the big issue that he blew up for no reason ended up not even being an issue because the guys did have enough material and everything was installed on the day it was supposed to be and looked absolutely amazing. And this manager had absolutely no clue that his install team (who are not Empire employees) resolved this issue and had nothing to do with the resolution. So again, this whole entire situation could have been avoided if he was more focused on doing his job than being a self-righteous, arrogant, know-it-all, I would have been a very happy customer who would have confidently and proudly recommended Empire. But instead, Empire hires and promotes people like Tony.

    Empire the king of empty promises. Buyer go anywhere for your flooring needs but NOT Empire!!!! I had new flooring installed in April. The installers shot a nail through a water pipe in the wall. My wife and I went on a 2 month vacation and returned to a flooded house. On July 31 Empire installers removed the wet flooring, discovered the nail hole from the base boards and advised me they would take care of the damage. The advised me there were no Empire employees that did plumbing or water damage repair so I should use anyone I prefer and send the bill to them for reimbursement.

    I secured plumbers, mold remediation people, a paint and drywall vendor and completed the repairs. The Empire installers returned and reinstalled the wet flooring after repeated requests by me to install new flooring. I gave Empire daily updates with photos, invoices and details about the repairs. Nobody took ownership of my issue. I repeatedly called and each time was referred to someone new who knew nothing about my claim. I talked to several Empire people all who promised they would take care of the claim but I never heard from them again.

    This dragged on for months. On August 26 I emailed the CEO and his assistant gave me a call. She had limited knowledge of the claim but expressed that the claim exceeded $5000 so they had to refer it to an insurance company. At this time there has been adequate time for reporting but I have not been contacted by anyone from an insurance company. Now the credit card bills have arrived for payment and have 29% interest growing daily. Nobody at Empire seems to care about resolving this simple claim. Just pay me for the damage you caused and we can move on. Now I am going to seek litigation and the cost will increase dramatically. I have spent months listening to empty promises and observed zero action to resolve this issue. I will tell everyone I encounter about the very poor service by Empire. This is totally unacceptable by any company. Buyer beware.

    Used Empire today for my flooring in my house spend over 18k with then a little over a year has passed and there was already an issue with my flooring. I tried to get it fixed through the warranty they sold me but they denied my claim. And want me to pay $700 to fix the issue when I told them it was from foot traffic with me and my dog going in and out of the house which warped my flooring and is no longer connected.     We used Empire to install Laminate Flooring (first floor) & carpeting on the second floor of the townhouse. The quality of the flooring & carpet is not bad; they look pretty good. The only issue I have with them is the fact their installers stole items from our townhouse. I did not notice the items missing until after the installers left. When I contacted Empire, they told me they would investigate. I never heard back from them & when I tried contacting them, they would not return my calls. The value of the items taken is about $75. It just blows my mind that a company would use installers that steal from the customers & the company does nothing about it. I cannot in all honesty, recommend Empire Flooring due to their lack of oversight of their installers.     I spent $18,000 on flooring. They removed hardwood floor in the bathroom and the new flooring is shorter so the sink and toilet don't touch the ground. They didn't tell me this before they installed. Just left me with it to fix. I also ordered a specific amount of flooring and Empire took what was left. I felt like I should retain the extra. I now have a small fix I need to make and they won't sell me a box. When I contacted customer support the lady was incredibly rude. They will be nice and try to sell you, but when it's done you are done to them. Terrible experience with Empire.

    We purchased and had our carpet installed by Empire Today in 2020. It's been five years since we purchased, and the carpet has come loose and is rolling up in different spots. I called to see if there was any warranty, but of course there is not. I was told it would be $250.00 for a repull or stretch. I've had carpet before, and it has never done this. I am disappointed with the quality of Empire Today's work.

Imagine my frustration when the installers arrived with a product I never selected—one that was never even described to me. Instead of taking ownership and offering a meaningful solution, your response was to shrug, apologize, and cancel the order altogether. That’s not resolution—that’s abandonment of responsibility.

    To other customers considering Empire Carpets: do not be swayed by promises of quick turnaround installation or what seems like “incredible” customer service. In my experience, both are illusions. The padding is cheap, the carpet is of irreputable quality, and the service is unreliable at best. I ignored the many negative reviews because I was excited about redoing my home with new carpet. Instead, I was left burned, disappointed, and drained of time, energy, and trust.     Using Empire was the worst mistake we've made 3 years ago. They promised great quality, the quality of the sample we were shown in our home is not what was put in our home, it started coming up in places after 2 years, we called while it was "under warranty" & were told we'd be charged over $100 for each area they came to check. They said our home would be clean, no dust, it was left a mess, we had to hire a construction cleaner to clean. And the installer went to the bathroom in our home, cleaned himself & put the TP in the trash. We are going to have to replace our floors in the very near future. Don't use them.

    Two years ago I had my living room dining room and hallway done with LVP flooring. I started to notice imperfections with the flooring that were disturbing for me. Contacted my representative Joe who came and took pictures on 6/24 and told me he would submit them to the office and someone would call me in about a week. Well I got the call a week ago from their office letting me know that they were coming 7/24 to make all those problem areas disappear. Imagine a company that actually follows through. They arrived today right on time. Joe and a helper performed a miracle, out with the old and in with the new flooring and at no charge. He put all the furniture back and there was not even a speck of dust or dirt anywhere.

    I also want to mention how I got Empire to begin with. I ordered originally from Home Depot who never showed up for the job and left me high and dry. I had recently closed on the house and the furniture was coming in 3 days so I called Empire and he said I could have people come tomorrow would that be ok. Well I was shocked and became a fan right away. After today, I will tell as many people as I can what a wonderful company Empire is and their guarantee of a great product and wonderful service is not a myth. It's true.

    First the good news: Great job by floor installers and salesman was friendly and professional. 2nd the bad news: initial quote was double another vendor's quote with same material. The next quote amazingly was half of 1st quote and less than the other vendor's quote. I should have thrown him out, for price gouging, however being an ex-salesman I was comfortable with the process. The quality work done by the installer team is worth mentioning again. Just remember, never accept their 1st quote, and always get at least one other quote for comparison. I wouldn't recommend, if you do not enjoy negotiating.

    We have bought carpet from Empire numerous times. We have dogs and my husband uses a wheelchair. We decided to replace our family room carpet (Empire carpet that was almost 10 years old). We discussed the master bedroom but were hesitant because the carpet in there though it was worn was very high quality carpet that had lasted 20 years. The salesperson showed us only high traffic highly durable carpet and assured us it would work for the constant wheelchair traffic and our dogs. Immediately after install we noticed loops of carpet were being pulled up. By the third month there were noticeable tracks from my husband pushing his chair to and from the bathroom. I called and told Empire that I wasn’t happy.

    We were away for a few weeks and had a friend at our home watching one dog. When we returned there were over twenty pulled loops in our family room carpet. I had to use needle and thread to pull them back into the carpet. Thank goodness for YouTube videos. I called Empire to escalate my concerns. What I found out is that I was pro Used certain things by the salesperson that were not true. They asked me to send pictures and very quickly got back to me with a short call to deny my claim. They said they would replace the carpet but I would have to pay for it.

    We spent over 5,000 six months the ago and the carpet is falling apart. I work in customer service and this has been a terrible experience. If you buy this carpet and do not have any problem you will be fine but if you have any issues with quality, there is no support. I now have carpet that I have to continually repair and the wheelchair tracks will be impeded in the carpet in a year.

    Ric was our consultant and did a fabulous job of explaining and showing us all of our options. We had new waterproof laminate installed in our family room, the entry hall and an office. The installation process was easy and seamless! Our installation team were the best - true professionals and it was evident they were extremely competent.

    We had our last laminate flooring job done by Lowe's and the quality of workmanship and product of Empire Today was far superior to what we received from Lowe's. Empire Today's installers prepped the entire floor to make sure it was level, while Lowe's installers did not. Rolling furniture on casters across the new installation, all four wheels are touching the floor at all times and that is not the case with the older floor installed by Lowe's. Empire Today matched the lowest quote we had received from competitors and gave us a much better product, warranty and superior installation.     Horrible experience. Our flooring is only 2 years old and it’s already starting to buckle badly and come off the floor. Empire will come out, for a fee of course. No standing behind their products. Shortly after we had the flooring installed we contacted Empire and told them we had buckling and snapping when we stepped on the flooring. The tech that came out told us that “well, your flooring is in direct sunlight so that’s gonna happen, just cover it with furniture or a rug.” But now we have two really bad spots that “are not in direct sunlight”.

    We had a salesperson come to the house with a limited amount of samples of LVP. We weren’t really happy with them, but we needed to take up our carpets because we have pets. Installation was okay, but the trim work was ugly. We have some transition spots where the floor meets other carpeted rooms, where they put the floor trim in, but they nailed it to the floor. I’m just a little time, the nails were lifting and cutting my family's feet. We also have an area where the floor is wearing unevenly. We lived with it for about 1+ years and I finally called and made a complaint. As I figured, they we not helpful and told us that we would have to pay for any repairs. I say spend a little more upfront because it will cost you more in the long run.

    I had carpet installed in one room and a stairwell by Empire Today. The first person I worked with was accommodating. He handled everything over the phone and got it installed, and I was happy with that. It cost more than it should have, but I was fine with it because it was done.

    I called him again and couldn't reach him, and I called Empire. They sent someone, but he was in and out. He came into my house, and said he looked at it, but I never received a call back, and never sent me anything. It felt like I had to jump through hoops to get help from them. They did the best they possibly could, so it’s acceptable. There wasn’t a large selection of tile to choose from, and this is not my favorite tile that I had.     Customer service was good when the salesperson came to sell me the floor, everything was wonderful. But now, when I try to call him, he doesn't answer because he’s busy, and then he texts me. Yesterday, I called and he said he’d call back in 15 minutes, but he still hasn’t. I’m having a problem with the floor. I contacted customer service, and they said they’d put in a request and someone would call me back within 1 to 3 days.

    It’s like when they want to install your floor, they’re there the next day. But if you have a problem, you have to wait days for them to get back to you. I’m really a little disappointed.

    I've been using Empire for quite some time, and they do good work. I've had the carpet and the vinyl plank floors, and the PVC tile floors, something along those lines. But nothing with hardwood yet. Everything's been pretty good. I haven't had any complaints from anybody.

    The installers were pretty good at cleaning up by themselves. My one complaint is that the company never gives us a time frame the day before. I have to specifically ask for it, and I used to get one every time. I'm a contractor, and I use them on all my jobs.

    I get last-minute calls at 8:00 in the morning saying they'll be there in 20 minutes. And that's not enough time for me to be on that job or give my customer notice. So, things should be done better on that end for whoever sets up the timing for these jobs.

    I deal with a representative, and he's awesome. He's very personable, and he meets me at my job. I reach out to him a day before, or he'll reach out to me and say I’m set and scheduled for such a day, and then he tries to get me a time frame. I've never had a problem with him.

    I used to get a phone call from the scheduling company giving me a time frame saying they'll be there anytime between 9:00 and 11:00, and asking if that works for me. And then I'll just let my customer know.

    I wouldn't hear anything from anybody about it if it weren't for my representative, Ryan. But I don't get that anymore. It really made a difference, and I know I'm not the only one who had that problem. I don't know why they got rid of it.

    I wrote a letter to the company last year, which my guy forwarded to his managers. And I never heard anything from it. My representative and salesman, Ryan, is great. He's on time, and texts me if he's running late.

    Never had a customer problem with him, as well as the people who come to install it. They do call me the day before they head there.

    My only problem was the whole timing. 20 minutes is not always enough for me to get there. I have to be in my office at a certain point. I have to get my guys out, I can’t plan out without proper notice.
