I had wood floors and I knew I wanted to get rid of them and go back to carpet. I was watching TV then I saw the little man hopping around the carpet, and I said that was where I'd go. So I called Empire Today and the young man came out and had samples. He was extremely nice and made me feel very welcome. What he had was what I wanted, so I had Empire install a new flooring in my kitchen, both bathrooms, and my entire house.

The people that came out to take care of the job were very impressive and they did a marvelous job. They looked like professional workers and they moved all the furniture. I was so taken back because I had taken all the stuff off my beds except my skirts because my husband and I couldn't lift the mattresses. They took them all down, then they had to to take flooring up and put the other items back. When they put the beds back together, they also put the skirts on very nicely. They were very conscientious about what they were doing and they handled everything very nicely. Then they did the flooring in the kitchen and the bathroom one day, and the rest of the house the next day. They left the place very clean and I couldn't have asked for more.

I like the padding of my new flooring. If I walk with my bare feet on it, it feels so good. I also love the flooring they put in my kitchen and bathrooms. They called it plank and it looks almost like white birch. It has a texture of wood, but is not wood. It's rubberized and it's waterproof. I know a couple of people who were thinking of flooring and I told them I'd be happy to give them the number of the young man from Empire that came out and talked to me. I'm also happy for them to come and look at what I got because I'm very proud of it.

I hired Empire Today to install my kitchen flooring before and they were fantastic. Everything was completed in the timeframe they gave me and I was so pleased with my experience that I called them back immediately when I was ready to do something new. This time, I needed plantation shutters and the salesman that I talked to laid everything out for me and gave me choices. I told him I would get back to him within a month or so and he said fine. Then I contacted him and told him to go ahead with the job. I had them install the shutters for me and they were done earlier than they thought. The shutters enhance the look of my townhouse. I’m going to use them again. I've also recommended them.

Stay away from this company at all cost. Even if they offer you free service, it's not worth it. You will regret it a great deal. Imagine this: They reschedule installation several times, because installers show up with not enough material all those times. They will apologize, but that's not going to restore your wasted days off from work, nor will it help you with moving the furniture back and forth multiple times. Eventually, they install your new floors, and, post factum, tell you that you can't wash or vacuum them, nor do anything on them normal floors are intended for. With time you will learn that you can't live on your new floors, you pretty much have to live around them, in order to keep them undamaged. But that's not going to stop the wear and damage. And your life becomes a nightmare.

You become obsessed and don't let anyone walk on them with shoes on; but in two months you see the first obvious signs of wear. You try to convince yourself that's normal and go on with your life only to see how your new floors are deteriorating in front of your eyes. After four months you contact Empire and request warranty service. They will send out "experts," two different people different times (apparently, they don't trust their own people). Both experts acknowledge wear/damage and tell you that Empire will take care of it. But they do nothing. And you reach out to their executive management to no avail. And now you are stuck with low-quality, damaged and disgusting floors, that are much worse than once you have replaced. Nice job, Empire! How are you still in business?! And the bottom line for the potential customer: do yourself a favor, run far and run fast from this unreliable and dishonorable company.

We found a carpet from Empire Today that matches what we needed. It's a beautiful carpet that Empire laid and it worked well. I had three rooms of carpet put in and the cost was okay. Since we bought those three rooms, I got the living room and dining room that we're thinking about carpeting so we might call Empire back for an estimate. We're hoping we could get a discount since we already bought three rooms. Check out Empire before going anywhere else.

We didn’t like the quality of tiles we had in the house when we purchased it. We were thinking about several options, but we decided to go with Empire Today. We watched TV ads and asked some people that already installed products from Empire Today and that helped us make our decision. Empire Today seems to be a good quality product. I had tile installed in some areas and carpet in others. The flooring is fair. It seems to be stain resistant. But I don't like the carpet, it's too dirty. The installers were professionals. It took them about two to three days to finish on the first one because it was the biggest one and we did it on two different dates. The other one was finished in a couple of hours.

I checked Empire Today and the store down the street from my house. I went with Empire and they stayed right on time. Their man came out 2 days later to do the estimate and measure. He was a very nice guy. He came in with the right carpet and quality to show me, we showed him what we wanted, and he worked with us. Then I contacted Empire and we bought the carpet off with a good deal, and they gave us a percentage off. Everything worked out right and I was very impressed with everything.

Then the guys came out, and they took the time on it and did a good job. I was very satisfied with everything. However, there was a couple of tacks that was sticking up so they came back a week later. I thought that they would go down so I gave them time. But they didn’t go down, so I called them and they were here right in the morning the next day. They fixed them. One of the rails in my staircase was loose and they even glued it and tightened it up for me. One guy looked around and he didn’t see any problems, so I trust him. I'm legally blind so I couldn’t go over the flooring as well as everybody else could have, but if I come across something that’s wrong within a couple of weeks then I would appreciate it if they would help me. Right now, everything has been very good and I'm very happy with the flooring.

I would definitely recommend Empire Today. My family used to say another place but I said, “I got a place too. I'd use Empire. They're very respectful, reliable, and they're very cooperative.” It was a very good experience and there was no sneaking around and no breaking. They were very experienced. Their supervisors also called up and asked me how the installers were doing and I told them that they're doing great and everything’s going good. There was nobody taking off going to the stores, nobody was stopping, and everybody was working and nice with a smile.

When the representative came to my home and looked at my floors and what I wanted to be done she told me it would be no problem. The installer call indicating that they would be at my home within a 2 hour window. They were 2 hours late. Then the installer took this sharp picky thing and started digging into my existing tile floors causing damage. He kept complaining about the fact that he has to pay his employees who he brought and the fact he drove such a long way to get to my home.

I had some tiles set down in my kitchen, and it's a new type of tile. I had that same pattern and I had gone to Lowe's to get it, but I would've had to hire a person to come in and cut the stones. When I had Empire come out and give me an estimate, the stone that I had matched what they had to offer. And they had a special going on at the time so I took advantage of that special.

The flooring looks like ceramic tiles but it's not. It's marble and it's beautiful. It blends in with my cabinets and everything in here. I also had brand new carpeting put on the steps, though they might want to do a little bit tighter weave with that carpet. When they set up the steps, I noticed that it's more of a shag type of carpeting and I thought it should have been a tighter weave. But the service was impeccable. They did everything they were supposed to do. They cleaned up behind themselves and put my furniture back like it was supposed to be. They did a wonderful job. When I get this paid off, I will consider going back and doing the rest of the downstairs. I've already recommended Empire.

My husband and I purchased hardwood floors through Empire Today back in December 2015. This past December 2017 I started noticing splits and cracks in the flooring. I contacted Empire and they sent someone out to look at it. The person said they never saw anything like it. He said Jan 2018 is their slow time and someone would come out to fix the problem boards. At the time there was about 20 boards messed up. In January the installer came out around 4 in the afternoon. By then there was about 50 problem boards. He said he could not do it because it would take too long and it looks like the entire flooring should be replaced. So I called Empire back. They scheduled me for another date. The installer Rich ** came out to do the work and he also said it was a lot of work and he contacted Empire because he did not know what to do about all the problem boards.

Finally after a few weeks Empire contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent out an inspector to look at the floor. He took some test. I asked him what is causing it. He said he was not able to tell me even though I was the customer. I have made plenty of call to Empire (Kris **) left messages and it took at times a week to get back to me. Finally last week Kris called and said the manufacturer denied the claim. He said it was due to low humidity in the house. I asked him for the report. He emailed it to me. What he failed to tell me was that the inspector also said the flooring was not acclimated to the house. This was not done prior to installing the floors. He said he would check with the bosses because he did not think it had to be done prior to installing.

Tim ** the regional manager called me and said it does not have to be done in my house because it was already done at the warehouse. I asked him for an email stating this and he said no. He said the customer knows that it is a next day service. From what I have been reading on the internet hardwood floors needs to be at the least 96 hrs acclimate in the house. prior to installing the hardwood. This was definitely not done. If I ever have anything this major done I will check on the customer reviews before I sign the papers. I have been reading plenty of reviews about Empire and I now know I am not the only one with problems from this company. If anyone asked me about my flooring I will discourage them from going with this company. I will let them know the terrible customer service that I received.

We had to change the carpet for the bedrooms that has been there for about 25 years and we got Empire Today to do the job. I'm in the construction business and I had my people put the other flooring down. The people from Empire did a good job in installing the carpet. A guy and a woman came, and I was amazed that the woman was tougher than the guy. She moved and lifted furniture up. I was a little concerned about paying in advance, but I weathered that storm. Also, Empire has a good advertising campaign going on. I'm in sales and it seems to be effective. Overall, I'd recommend them.

We had Empire Today install some carpet for us in the whole house. They've got the price right. The salesman was polite and hospitable, and he was great. He came to our home and showed us the kinds of material that they had and he asked how we wanted our carpet. We had all the rooms done, except for the hard part. I had to trim all the doors down since they were too thick. I like the rug that we got from Empire. The texture is fine and it’s so soft, especially towards the underneath part. My lady picked the color and I had no choice on that one. Empire Today was great. If people need a carpet, I'd tell them to go to Empire. I've told my sister about them, but she spent her money instead on getting a bed.

I had an appointment for a free estimate this past Monday. I requested time off from work to do so. My appointment window was 11am-1pm. By 1pm I haven’t heard from Empire. I called them and the representative told me “I do see that you have an appointment today but no one was scheduled to go to your home”. Confused, I waited for an explanation as the representative waited for a response. I said “so what does that mean for me today?” She says “well, no one will come out today because they are booked”. At that moment I advised her that I didn’t want to get upset and if I can please reschedule another appointment. She said, "Sure. Next appointment would be Thursday." I asked for a later time (for when I got off) due to missing out of work that day for no one to show or even give me a courtesy call. She scheduled me for 5pm to 7pm that following Thursday.

Well hello. Today is Thursday March 15th... my 2nd appointment time @ 8:26pm to be exact. I called Empire Today 3 times throughout the day to be proactive so that someone will be scheduled to come out and do measurements. All 3 times each representative stated that they didn’t see anyone scheduled yet but it can possibly be because my appointment was at a later time that maybe it will be in later. I advised that I will then gladly call back around 3-4pm to check to see if someone will be scheduled to come to my home. A lot of time and effort to spend my money with Empire Today right?, yeah I thought that too. I gave them yet another call closer to 4pm and you guessed it NO ONE IS SCHEDULED TO COME OUT TO MY HOME AGAIN. They then asked if I wished to reschedule, AGAIN.

This is a horrible business! I’m jumping through hurdles to spend my money, something I just cannot understand. I spoke to someone who stated that someone higher up would call me back, but I’m almost certain no one will. This is sad and a horrible experience for my first time trying to work with Empire Today. I called the office and they sent the same person out who installed the floor! Of course he took no responsibility when he told me out his mouth that the moisture was very high, but when I asked him would it affect the flooring he said no! I called a second time and they sent the same installer out again! The first time he said I had to have had a spill in the house! The second time he said the pipe under the house was leaking! The pipe leaking was true but this was the case when he first installed the floor and he knew it would cause a problem! Of course the office sided with the installer to no avail! No return calls from the general manager and no resolution offered! I am disgusted because years ago I had an issue with Empire, I should have learned my lesson.

The first sales appointment was missed and afterwards I received a frantic call from someone at the company looking for their sales rep and asking if he made the appointment. He did not. The caller said they couldn’t locate the rep all day and apologized. I thought, “no problem; there must have been an emergency of some sort.” I heard nothing more. The next day I called back and rescheduled and was happy to accept a $50 inconvenience credit. I also wrote an email inquiring about their current sale, worried I’d miss the opportunity. I never received a reply. Well, the time of my rescheduled appointment came and went without a sales rep appearing or calling. It wasn’t after I replied via email that I got a call from the company.

I guess I was supposed to be thankful they didn’t make me wait around ALL DAY instead of all morning. The call came at 12:46 p.m. I was asked if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. I was hesitant, of course. I was told I would be given a $50 inconvenience credit… Even assured it would be added to my other $50 inconvenience credit. Well my wife and I wanted to shop around and get some quotes to have carpet installed, so we started off with Empire Today with plans to shop around and compare quotes. Right away our plans were spoiled when our salesman (who I will name in a later post after our carpet is installed) told me that the price would go up if we shopped around and caused him to come back, because he would have to factor in the price of his time and gas into the price of the sale (insane). Then he continued to tell me the history of the company, (no big deal, he’s a salesman) but he wouldn’t stop looking my wife up and down. I’m not a sensitive man by any means and I let everything slide right off of my back, but this man wasn’t even trying to hide what he was doing.

My wife was so uncomfortable that she was standing behind me while I sat across from him at the table to keep him from looking. Well then she went to check on my kids and he continued to follows her butt the entire way and I finally said “SIR!” To get his attention and I pointed at his tablet as to say, "Let’s focus, man". He told me he was just looking at my kids which were almost behind him so he was clearly lying and let him know that he was lying. I had to sit in my own house steaming mad at this guy for his behavior hoping it would get better.

Nope!!! My 1yr old comes in the room and pulls my wife’s shirt over her head, so my wife says, “Stay out of my shirt!”, the salesman then says, “Yeah, that’s daddy's job”. My jaw dropped. I text my wife and told her to go upstairs with the kids because I didn’t want them around this perverted salesmen. We did everything to just get this guy out of the house and speed up the process. My daughter recommended Empire Today because they had her house done, which is a lot smaller house, and she was real happy with it. I had them install wooden planks with a light color and were six inches wide. There were two installation guys, and one guy had a hard time talking English while the other guy could talk both languages. But they were quick and good. They ran out of part of the flooring that they thought they had enough of, and part of it was a different kind. So they had to wait till the next day and come back with the right kind to finish the job, which was more of a problem for them than me. I also forgot to ask them what to use to clean it with, 'cause I have a dog and he's a little bit messy when he drinks. I just clean it with water. Overall I would recommend them, but I wish I would've done a shade or two darker. It's a little too light, but I didn't want to have the house look dark inside when it's starting to get dark.

We had carpeting by Empire Today installed in the master bedroom and the stairwell. They have the same quality as other brands but they have a better price. Their sales reps were helpful and they understood the product. I like the general attitude and everything that they said and told us about the product. The installation and everything turned out to be exactly what they said. The guys showed up when they said they were going to. They were courteous, they took their shoes off and they were conscientious of the house. It was raining a bit, so they had to cut in the garage. They did it quicker than I thought they would and they moved everything and put everything back. They did a great job and they finished on time. The installation was the best part. We really like the way our flooring looks and it made the room look bigger. We had a very good experience, overall.

We had the carpet for two rooms. And the important thing for me was that it was a very good and professional installation. The installers were excellent, very hard worker, polite and nice. I like them. They were doing a good job, and they were clean. The floors are excellent. I’m very happy for it. I’m very satisfied. I will tell others to go for Empire.

I got my carpet a while ago and Empire Today always was running a special at the time. It was 50% off on everything. I needed the carpet and I liked it and the price was good. But I had a problem when they took my doors off in my bedroom. They mixed up the doors and when they left, they didn’t put a couple of the doors back on. I had to call them back. They got them all back on but they were not fitting the way they should be. That aside, they were good and I would recommend them.

    Original Review: March 13, 2018

We scheduled three rooms to be carpeted. We were guaranteed that the installation would be completed in one day. The installers arrived at 4:00 in the evening on the scheduled day of installation. They were careless in moving the furniture and at 7:00 we received a phone call from the installation coordinator that the installers ran out of carpet. The installation coordinator assured us that the remaining carpet would be installed between 8:00 and 10:00 the next morning (Saturday, March 10th). At 9:00 Saturday morning, an installer called to inform us that he would arrive between 3:00 and 5:00 in the afternoon. At 5:00 the installer still had not arrived. The installation coordinator explained that the installer ran into some issues with other installations that day and the earliest he could arrive would be 7:00 in that evening. We offered that, if it helped, we would wait until Sunday afternoon (1:00 at the earliest and 2:00 at the latest).

The installation coordinator then texted us that the installer would arrive at 1:00 Sunday afternoon. When 1:00 Sunday afternoon arrived the installer did not arrive. We waited an hour and texted the installation coordinator that the installer had not arrived, but no response. At 3:00, the installer still had not arrived. We texted the installation coordinator once again, pointing out that we waited two hours and asking if the installers were coming, again, no response. At 4:00 we texted the installation coordinator that the installers had not come and no one had communicated with us.

So, we contacted Customer Service to report our disappointment. Customer Service listened to our story (reviewed above) and filed two claims with "corporate." On Monday morning, at 7:30, the installer called to say he would arrive in 45 minutes. The installer arrived and was surprised that there would be furniture to move (he was alone with no help). He finished installing the carpet and our son helped us replace the furniture (there was a great deal of it). It is Tuesday and we have yet to hear from anyone at "corporate." A Customer Service Representative has called us and we related our story to her (reviewed above). We are still exhausted from this experience and feel so disappointed. It has affected the joy we should be experiencing with the completion of our carpet update.

We were so excited about our new carpet. Unfortunately, Empire Today successfully shot to hell any and all joy we found in getting our new carpet. Our horrendous experience began with a few unfriendly and gruff personalities that had an apparent discomfort with dealing with homosexuals. We were immediately informed that while we had scheduled this appointment for having the entire upper level in our home completed in addition to a stair runner, that we couldn't get our stair runner completed. Numerous excuses were made for the inability to complete said job. They proceeded then to scratch both bannisters and several of our walls while attempting to carry carpet upstairs.

Furthermore, they continued to leave our door wide open to the outside. This was not during the unloading and loading period, this was during the entire duration of the day as the door was left open for over 20 minutes at a time. Because of this, I had the privilege of chasing my pets around the neighborhood. Finally, despite having paid for the hauling away of our carpet, we were informed that the carpet could not, in fact, be hauled away and less than 20% was actually disposed of, leaving the rest of the square footage to be carried to the curb by yours truly. We then spent the next several weeks trying to get ahold of anyone to speak within customer service.

While they may tell you they work from 7a-4p M-F, don't believe them. No one answers the phone or when they do they promptly disconnect from your call when they "place you on hold." When you DO finally speak to their representatives, you'll find it will be 10:30 in the morning and they're "just leaving for the day." They're unprofessional, they're rude, they're not helpful and they have no desire to perform any customer service recovery. A month later and we STILL have not heard about our carpet runner and we've received $59.00 credit from the over $4000 we've spent on carpet. Shame on you Empire. You're a disgrace. NEVER GO HERE!

Empire Today laid down our carpet really nice, but I'm pissed off with the experience I’m still going through with the banner. When Kenny came here to put the banner down, he saw a soft spot and told me that we need to take care of that. He then told me that as soon as the handyman did that wood part, he would come back and install my banner. So after we had somebody take care of that, I called Kenny directly like he said. He told me that he would call me as soon as he gets to the office. But, he did not return the call. On top of that I called their office that evening and they said that my order has been cancelled. We didn't tell anyone to cancel my order. We've paid on the card and I wouldn’t have known that they cancelled my order if I didn't call.

I like that banner that I have picked out that’s why I wanted it. I told the rep to put me back on and I was told that they would put me back on schedule. The next time I heard from them they said that they have somebody who might install our banner. But when they called me Monday evening, they said that the installer forgot the banner at the warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. I said, “What? You had me on schedule and they forgot the banner?” The rep said it was an oversight. And then the next time they called me, they said they couldn’t find the material. So, I asked the rep, “What kind of business are you all running?” Every time I've called them, they've given me the runaround. Right now, I got my kitchen turned upside down and the sink out of my kitchen is a big mess. I have to find somebody else to try to put my floor back together.

Empire Today showed me how much they value me by lying to me and how much my little money count to them. They also showed me that with what they've done to me, there would be other ones that they could do this too. And if they keep on doing that, they're going to lose a lot of business because I would not recommend Empire Today to anyone.

I got wood flooring from them and their installers were very quick. I couldn't ask for a nicer installation and it was all done in one day. I had it installed in the living room, hallways, foyer, three bedroom, and closets. It's pretty and very easy to keep clean. It's easy to move furniture on it compared to the wall-to-wall carpeting. It's very nice and we like it very, very much. I would recommend them.

Someone comes the next day, this should have been the easiest installation since I was just matching the floors Empire did in my basement. The saleswoman mistakenly scheduled the appointment for the next day after I told her I would need it done on a Saturday so the installers came when I wasn't here. Also there was no record that I was financing the floors. Got that straightened out, waited ALL day Saturday (they give you a ridiculous window of 8-6) for them not to show. No one called. I contacted customer service, they had a job with "more furniture to remove than they thought" (why is that my problem?) so I rescheduled for Monday, it's 3:45 and they still aren't here and no one can reach them. I asked for a discount, thus far no one's called me back.

It amazes me how dead customer service is. These companies act as if they are doing YOU a favor instead of you paying thousands for their services. I contacted the salesperson, nothing. I just get these pathetic apologies from salespeople for my wasted time. One thing you should know about Empire, they contract out their salespeople and the people who do your floors. Their communication is horrid. Don't use them! If they don't show today I am cancelling with them.

WHERE DO I START. I ordered vinyl flooring and carpet. The salesman was very misleading. The carpet came the wrong color. I let it slide. The installer never replaced door guides and transition strips took three weeks for an appointment. When they called they said they will be here in the afternoon so I took the dog to the vet. At 9 am the tech calls me 20 min later and said no one’s home. Call back and nothing. Now the flooring techs were great but the salesman didn't do his job. My wife and I had flooring done a few years ago and we decided to get the rest of the downstairs done and wanted it to match color and height wise paid for it but when it was done I had two levels of flooring with bulky strips to cover the difference.

The customer service told me to take pictures so they can review them and nothing no word from them. It was their mistake but I have to jump through hoops to get anything done. Empire should of sent someone to my house to get it not have the customers do it. I myself paid upfront. This will never happen again. It seems as soon as they got their money you don't matter. So with that being said never again will I use or recommend EMPIRE TO ANYONE. IF YOU DO USE THEM DONT PAY UPFRONT. Wait till everything is done and to your satisfaction then pay.

It was good and the two guys who did it were friendly, but I didn’t like having to do the repair afterward. I had my walls freshly painted before they came here, and they damaged three walls.

All in all, it was a good experience, but then a few days later, they had someone call me for a follow-up and he had such a thick accent. He had to repeat everything four times, and that was most annoying. I had company, and I asked if he could call me back in an hour and he said, “No. Let's do it right now. Since 2013 this would be our third time using Empire for our same residence. In 2017 we had carpet installed. We loved the carpet so much we wanted to have it installed in the remaining bedrooms. We made an appointment and the same sales rep returned from last year. I mentioned I wanted the exact same carpet that we had installed less than a year ago to be carried in the bedrooms. She said easy enough as I have the same carpet in my home and easy enough. She mentioned that an install could take place the following week which was suffice.

Fast forward to the day of install which the window is 8am-6pm. It is now 2:30pm and no word from Empire. Finally I made a call to customer service who alerted me that they would be arriving by 4:30pm to start the install. I said that I had three small children and as long as they could be complete by 6pm window that is fine. It is now 3:30 and I receive a call now from the local dispatch (Jimmy **) who informs me that they now are canceling for today's install. I said that was fine but due to the inconvenience I expected extra some form of compensation. He had the audacity to say, “We will give you $100 off of a $2700 order”... really? I said for him to do better than that due to the inconvenience and call me back.

At this point I start to move all of the furniture and items out of the bathrooms back to the bedrooms and getting my house back to normal since my kids were going to bed soon. While I am doing this my phone is ringing and Jimmy proceeds to tell me that they are actually able to make it now and will be here close to 5pm. I said this won't happen and this is unacceptable and asked him how they were fixing this situation. His exact words were... "Sir there is no compensation any further so don't even ask since we are now in the original window." I was furious that I hung up. Soon after there comes the workers who show up. They come in the House much to my dismay and ask to see the space they are working with. I show them all three bedrooms and they say they won't be able to finish this today. I said, “Well why did you come then?” He said, “Well let me get started and see how far we get”.

At this time it's dark outside and my kids are ready for bed. Also may I point out that the rooms he was installing had no lights due to renovations so not sure how they installed in the dark. Also isn't formal protocol is to when they arrive they are to present you with paperwork and show you the carpet to assure it’s correct? Yeah none of this. They proceeded to leave after only competing one room and also might I add they asked to use my vacuum to clean up their mess and clogged it up. The installer said he would be back the following morning to finish the job. He then asks to keep all of the remaining carpet in my garage until tomorrow.

It's finally about 8:30. Was able to get my kids to bed but not before they are walking upstairs with nails and staples present all through the hall where the carpet wasn't even installed. Also their tools spread around the hallway left for everyone to trip on along with leaving a hall window open in the dead of winter. The next morning I call in sick to work since I now have to wait for the remainder of this install. When the sun comes up my wife and I are horrified to find out they installed the wrong color of carpet.

I figure I would wait for them to arrive THIS morning as stated the night prior. It is now 12 noon and no word... 1pm, 2pm nothing. I finally called customer service and they reach the installer who claims something came up. They now had to cancel even though I had to take off work and he assured me he would be there first thing in the morning. At this point I am just livid and try to reach anyone I can. I process to find my original sales person who seemed to refuse to call me back and would only text me. Based upon all of our texts throughout the day she stated my issues have been sent to multiple managers and GMs. All of them would be reaching out but not a peep from nobody.

I finally called customer service to file a formal complaint and when the service rep got the installer on the phone he wouldn't give her time. That he would be out. Her exact words was that she suggest I reach out to him to see when he was coming. I finally lost it and said, “How is it my job to track down your staff when I was the customer”. She then put me to a supervisor who made multiple calls and claims he wasn't able to get a hold of anyone locally but assured me someone would call me to address the situation. As mentioned, still not a word from the cowards of staff they call management.

The only call I got was dispatch Xavier stating they would put a new roll of carpet that is the correct carpet and installer would be there tomorrow. I said when I hung up I refused to sign the final paperwork until compensation was to happen. He said he would ask but still nothing from the cowards of management. This company has wrecked and railroaded my life and family’s life for the past three days due to their incompetence of staff they hire. At the end of the day DO not use Empire or trust any of the salespeople as they are all snakes in the grass and simply want your money and never to hear again.

I've had carpets from Empire Today back in 2011, 2013 and recently, about a month or two ago. I like the ease of doing business with them. So far, everything is fine but the service is not the greatest. They also represent lifetime guarantees but none of that is true. When the carpets were put in, sometimes they stretch and they bubble, and they never want to come back for free and fix it. I also had a very bad experience about four or five months ago when my daughters brought a new dog home and the dog ate a piece of the carpet. All I wanted was someone to come in and repair it but I ended up buying a new carpet.

They wouldn't get someone to help me. Getting one of their installers to come and do a repair was the most impossible thing I've ever gone through. I've had people calling the customer service and made appointments and they didn’t show up. It was six weeks of wasted time. I ended up just buying a new carpet from them because it was the only way I can get them to help me. And the only reason I bought it from them was because the other places were just as bad. Nevertheless, Norm, the guy who came to my house was great. However, their service department makes me not want to recommend Empire Today at all.

We purchased carpet from Empire Today two times. We talked about Home Depot the first time around, but Empire had better deals. The first time, we had it installed in a house that we were selling, and it was the entire downstairs minus the kitchen and the bathroom. Price was the biggest factor in choosing the product that we bought. We didn't want to redo the stairs because of the price. So, we went with something that was very similar, but it ended up also being very cost-effective.

And then, for the second time, I called the same person who quoted us the first time and had her come back. We had two rooms done, the living room and one of the bedrooms. The previous owner was a heavy smoker and the carpets were disgusting. And we have a child that crawls, so we couldn't have that. Their installers were very professional. They came when they said they would come. Our house is hard to find, so I had to go find them. But he was 30 minutes early and he was like, "Hey, I'm looking for your place. I can't find you guys." Both times, they were very professional and very considerate of our time. It was a very pleasant experience. We would call them back if we needed to have something done. The only issue we had was that the guy's van broke down in our front yard, but my husband's brother was coming anyway and he was a tow truck driver. So, it turned out to be a win.

I would advise others to get Empire Today and I would gladly recommend to my lady friends, but especially with my age, to accept them because they were very nice.

I like Empire Today and their products but I wasn’t smart enough with it. They advertised on TV before that it was “Get one room and get another one room free”. I wanted to do my living room because it’s big and I think the bedroom is so small, they’re going to do it for free. I need the rug for my living room and I forgot to ask how much the rug is and where the 75% they took off is. The rug is nice as well as the people who put it and I also love the colors but I am mad at myself. It was a small rug and it cost me $750. I am disappointed because the guy didn’t say how much the rug is going to be, the percentage they are taking off and how much it’s going to cost. It was my fault and also the rep’s fault. I didn’t ask and he didn’t explain anything. But they gave me the rug I picked, did a good job and I would recommend them.

We chose Empire after buying our home. We chose the highest quality which was demonstrated in a video the salesperson showed us. The "smart-strand" was supposed to stand up against matting, staining etc. The master bedroom seemed to show the wear shortly after installation. We had it professionally cleaned 3 times in the last 2 years and the traffic pattern and matting continues to be bad. I contacted Empire about the lifetime warranty and it has been over 18 months and no relief! I have gone to anyone that will listen and NO help! I have had 3 different claim numbers and more lies than I can count. Someone named DONNA is supposed to be helping me. I am about 24 hours away from hiring an attorney- maybe a class-action suit will wake them up???

The representative was very good. She showed us everything that was available and we were happy with the material that she showed us so it worked out real good. The installation wasn’t bad either. But on the same day that I ordered the material, I had a car accident. I had whiplash and the process seemed longer than what it was because I wasn’t feeling good, even though it only took two and a half days. Other than that, the workers were pretty good people and everything went real smooth. They were open about what had to be done and everything they said more or less was what happened.

I would rate it 5 stars and I’ve already recommended them. Their carpet and vinyl are very good and reasonable but I don’t think that they’re reasonable on their mini-blinds, but that’s another issue.

Last June, I had a carpeting in my bedroom put in and just the last time, I had kitchen flooring put in. I had carpeting in a little hallway that was outside my bedroom. It was too patchy looking with carpeting in my bedroom and carpeting on the stair, and I didn’t know what to do with that little hall. So, we had the laminate put in there. And I liked it so much that I had it put in the kitchen too. I love the laminated flooring. It's easy to clean up and it doesn’t show a lot of dirt either. I was very happy with them.

Recently we reported to Empire that our hardwood floor in the kitchen was showing excessive wear signs with the finish completely off. This product is still under warranty. My husband has been talking with Empire since early January and we have gotten no resolution for this issue. He has talked to 11 people at Empire and has not received any resolution. They have not returned calls, and have scheduled visits only to cancel them. Today they were supposed to come and replace or repair the floor and again they have canceled and don’t seem to know what they are going to do. We were told they would have the manager call and we have heard nothing.

We have continued today to request a return call and were promised they would call back in a few minutes. We have not heard from them. This last call we requested to talk to the supervisor's boss and that person has not called back. I would be glad to provide you with the names of everyone we have talked to since we first reported this in January. Our floor has not been fixed even though it is still under warranty. This is the worst customer service we have ever experienced. I would never recommend Empire nor will I ever use their services again. Feel free to contact me at **.

Then Empire Today came out. The salesperson was excellent. He brought some remnants in, and since I was planning on getting carpet, I just picked it. The overall installation went okay, but I needed to make sure the guys got all the tools because they need the power tools, not screwdrivers.

Also, when they come out to show you the carpet, and if you want new tacks put down, they don’t tell you that they use the old tacks. On the day of installation and they were doing it, I was wondering why they were not breaking and changing the old tacks. That was when they said that they don’t put new ones in unless they charge me for them. I didn’t know that. So I didn’t make them put new tacks down. But I was okay with it and I would still recommend them. It wasn’t a bad experience, but there are certain things that they needed to be a little more upfront with to make sure that their consumer understands. If a friend asks about Empire, I'll just tell them where I went and for them to look out.

The sales rep also said there would be 2 installers, one working on the steps and one on the main level, that was another false statement. After over 6 hours of installing one man finished the job and left a big mess, also left vents out that my husband had to try and fit back in, which involved cutting our new carpet. The actual carpet is beautiful but installation is terrible. If you look closely you can see the carpet not flush to the walls and actually see the pad peaking through, you can see seams and bubbling in some areas. After spending over $2000 and seeing really poor installation done we are extremely disappointed. Sales rep was awesome but made many false statements that actually never happened.

If I could give Empire Today zero stars, I totally would! Although the salesperson was great, the service was absolutely awful! My first appointment was cancelled due to the rain, as my townhome does not have a garage for them to cut the carpet. So, I gave them a pass; however, I left my new job a couple of hours early, so I could be home for the installation. The second time it was cancelled, because the installer wasn't answering their phone. The third time (today) was cancelled again, because another installer cancelled, again! I called and cancelled the carpet installation today.

I would NEVER recommend Empire Today to ANYONE!!! The huge company runs their business like it's a one-man operation, with limited resources. Had my carpet installation went according to plan, I would have gotten laminate flooring done downstairs. A total waste of my time; I wasted 2 Saturdays in a row waiting for the installers to show up. I'll will most certainly be using a more professional company to handle my flooring needs.

This has been one of the worse experiences we have ever had with a company. We REALLY should have read ALL the reviews before calling to have a floor installed by Empire. We ordered our LVT back in October 2017 but had to wait until we closed on our house to have the floor installed - which put us to February 2018. When we called to see if we could get financing I was told that it had to go through our sales rep and he would call me that day. I had to call him 4 more time and still no return call. My husband called three days later and told them that we would cancel and go somewhere else, less than 5 minutes later we get the call! We were only doing the kitchen, but I decided to add a 5X5 bathroom with vinyl flooring.

Everything was set to go on a Friday, I wanted my husband to be here when the install was being done. We had friends help move things and get ready the day before they were to come when I get a call at 4pm letting me know that they had to reschedule because the materials didn't come in and would be there late Friday (they had the order since October and here it is Feb)! I told them that was ok but I wanted both floors done the same day, and I wanted the 8:00am appointment so this would be done and over with. I was told there would be 3 or 4 guys and could do this by the sales rep. So everything was put off until the following Friday and we made other plans.

The next morning I get a call from Empire at 7:45am that they are on their way to put the floor in - what the heck!! When I got hold of the installer he told me he was all set to go and I'm like what is going on. He told me he would call me right back and let me know what happened. It turns out that Brian only installs vinyl and he had the materials. He only does one job a day and I didn't want to mess him up so I told him to come on over. BRIAN WAS THE ONLY GOOD PART ABOUT THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE. He was very professional and he did a great job. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. When he was finished he had cleaned everything up and put things back together so that we could put the new vanity and toilet in the bathroom.

The following Friday I am expecting the installers to be here at 8:00am as promised - guess again. I finally get a call sometime after 9:00am that they should be here in about an hour!!! What could we do. When they finally showed up my husband walked through the area with them to be done and asked that they to pull up all the old flooring (which the sales rep said they would) because they had to level the floor. We were told that they were not told that by their supervisor and didn't have the materials. The paperwork read Embossing Leveler - YES. So now they had to take an hour and a half and go to Home Depot to pick up the materials which would make this an all day project. They blamed the office, the office blamed them and my husband and I were in the middle of this whole mess and we are the ones paying for this screw up.

It was almost 7:30 by the time they were done since there were only 2 guys and one was being trained. I was so tired by this time when I did the walkthrough I did not notice all the mistakes that were done. I have spent the last two days cleaning my stove, fridge, washer, dryer, walls and the new floor of glue, cement and dirt that was left. My husband is still trying to repair the floor where it was not done right. When they didn't have all the materials I called to complain and customer service did give a slight refund, but now they will not call us back regarding the crappy work that was done. As someone else said they have their money so what do they care. As I said before NEVER AGAIN! We would have done better to buy the materials somewhere else and done it ourselves. I don't ever give reviews but I was not going to let this one go. I hope when someone else reads this they think twice - I wish I had.

The house was six years old and the original builders put in the lowest quality carpet they could. We were planning to repaint the walls in a particular room. And that point I said, rather than spend a whole lot of money on each other on Christmas like we used to do, we decided to spend the money on the house. So we redid one room. We had Empire Today install carpet in that room.

Empire Today got a good reputation and I know they do more than just carpet. We had a young lady out here and she did the measurements. She was very professional and not high pressure. And we had another area that I had her measure and estimate while she was here for installing either hardwood or laminate. At that time, we chose not to do that because we just couldn't afford all of it at once. But it was convenient that she was able to quote us both of them. The installation crew that they hired was fine. We got the product that we thought we were going to get and we have had no bad feelings about having made that decision now that we've done it.

However, the cost was slightly more expensive than it would have been if we had gone to Home Depot. That bothered me a little bit because this was the 30 30 30 sale. But we were happy with the product. My expectations aren't real high but I do have a certain set of things that I expect whenever I hire anybody to come in and do work. And the flooring met my expectations. Make sure that you wait until Empire is having a sale and make sure you get the best prices you can get.

I had Empire Today install my tile flooring. I was in a very tight window when I needed to get it done and they were able to accommodate my time request. Their cost and quality was comparable with the other brands, but their selection was not, although it was okay for what I need. We want a tile that looks like wood and this tile flooring looks nice. I liked the way it looked.

I was supposed to get carpet from them as well. And since I have dogs, there was supposed to be some type of undercoat or padding under the main carpet, which would protect if the dogs went to the bathroom on the carpet. But the undercoat wasn’t there when it was delivered. When I called them, they said that the pad that they sent was fine, but I felt that it was like a bait-and-switch, so I wound up buying the carpet from somebody else even though I had intentionally planned to do it with them. But still, they're a good company. They have a lot of good things. The guys that were here were off the charts great. They were quick and efficient and they were the highlight of the process. The guys that did the work had a lot to do and they got it done quick, so I was happy. I'd tell my friends to give them a call.

No one likes to take responsibility of their actions, neither the Empire salesperson nor the managers or customer care personnel. No follow ups, I have been complaining about the carpet installation and the laminate installation that was done in September 2016, I call them, they send a manager to check then they send their contractor, once the contractor gives them the list of issues they don't call back again. I'm tired of the follow ups, Empire is quiet because we have made all the payments and they have nothing to lose. End of the day it was my mistake I chose them over other able companies who stand by their products and services. Wish I could not give them a single star.

I will not be using nor recommending Empire Today LLC. This company has left my family and I in unlivable conditions. The salesperson misrepresented the company and told us only Empire employees do the installs and this was not true. Upon installation they ran out of the product. I was told they would be back the next day with the product to finish the install. I took an extra day off work for them to come back and complete the install. It has now been a week and the flooring is still not complete. The subcontractors were unable to obtain the materials from the Empire warehouse and informed me they were not able to get paid until we sign off on the completed install.

Even though they did a great job on the part they completed the installers are unable to assist in getting this completed and directed me to the Empire customer service support. I’ve made numerous calls to Empire’s customer service support to get the issue resolved without any support. This includes being hung up on and being told I need to call back as the system can not be accessed after the representative told me the name of the flooring I was having installed. I was on the phone for 20 minutes just repeating “connect me to your manager” before I could speak with anyone that would try to work with me but again no resolution. I was also told that this issue would be escalated but again still no resolution.

I would like this issue to be handled amicably and just complete my flooring install. Unfortunately since I’m not getting any resolution I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and if need be I will also be getting my attorney involved. This is not the level of customer service I would expect for such a large and well known company, very disappointing.

Decided to use Empire Today to put new flooring throughout my entire house. The sales rep showed up and measured our floor layout, we decided on the product and scheduled installation for Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning comes and the carpet installers show up and remeasure the floor and tell me that they cannot install because they didn’t bring enough product. They leave and a second crew shows up and installs the LPV in half of our house. Day number two, the carpet installers are pulling down my driveway and my phone vibrates with a text message from the sales rep. It’s a recording sent by text message of him explaining that my cell service is bad at my house and his tablet didn’t calculate the floor layout correctly because a room wasn’t added, due to my poor cell reception (as though I have control over the cell signal). He stated that his quote was wrong and he would need to add another $650 to the total.

I said that I would not pay more than what we agreed, so he said that he would keep the price the same but we would have to accept lower quality product that was cheaper. I said no to that offer also and told him I would only accept that the job be done for the price agreed upon or I would cancel the order. The sales rep said he would keep working on it and hung the phone up. At this time the installers had come in and told me for the second day that they couldn’t install the carpet they brought because they didn’t bring enough padding this time. My wife and I spent the next several hours repeatedly calling customer service just to find out that the sales rep canceled the order as soon as he got off the phone with me and didn’t bother to let us know.

After spending the entire day on Wednesday getting the runaround from customer service and getting nothing resolved, and no call back from anyone, I posted a comment on Empire Today’s Facebook page telling this story. First thing Thursday morning people from the local office and the corporate office started calling my wife and promised to make everything right, that we were correct and the rep screwed up, and they had scheduled another installation appointment for Friday morning. So Friday morning the installers show up again and take about three steps into my front door and says that he can’t remove my old carpet because he saw a flea. Not fleas, but A FLEA. I pulled a piece of carpet and rolled it back where he said that he saw a flea and we couldn’t find it again, or any other kind of bug. Out of desperation to get my flooring complete I talked him into removing it and leaving it in my yard.

After all that he asked me to look at the carpet in his van and said that he didn’t think that he had the carpet that I ordered. He kept saying that he thought that it was the cheaper carpet without the stain resistant r2x. We tested a small sample of the carpet and it didn’t react to liquid the way the video that the sales rep showed us. The video showed wine beading up on the top of the carpet and then getting cleaned up with a few dabs with a paper towel. I poured a tiny bit of soda on my sample and it was sucked into the carpet like a sponge. I get on the phone with the installer's supervisor that gives me a 100% guarantee that I was getting the correct product that I ordered. The entire time I was on the phone with him the installer was shaking his head and telling me that it wasn’t the right product.

Out of desperation again I told them to go ahead and put the carpet down even though I was still very concerned that it was the wrong carpet. Received another call from someone in the corporate office being assured that I was getting the correct carpet and they would come out and verify it to make sure no mistake was made. I went to work on my second shift job thinking this nightmare was finally over. Shortly after I thought that, my wife calls me and tells me that the installers were tired and one of them said his back was hurting, so they were leaving without finishing the job again.

I start calling all the different people that me and my wife had talked to on Thursday and Friday morning, all had given us their direct extension and said to call if there were any more issues. No one ever answered the phone. I left messages to several people wanting someone to finish the job. No one called back. I’m now going on day number five of what should have been a one day job, and I’m not very confident that it will be finished on Saturday. IF YOU WANT NEW FLOORS, DO NOT EVER CONSIDER HIRING EMPIRE! By far the worst company I have ever dealt with at every level.

This time, we were putting rugs in the living room and in the stairs. We knew Empire Today provided a solid value and we just went along with it. The installation went as we hoped for, smoothly and efficiently, and the installers were professional and courteous. The payment process went along smoothly as well. It was all a very good experience. The padding on the rugs was good. It also has an anti pet stain feature and the barrier was a good thing.

We ordered a hardwood floor to be put in hallway. Right off the bat they said they couldn't and put in engineered hardwood instead. It took three days to install but it's only a four hour job. It was a man who couldn't speak English and his 14 year old son. They didn't know what they were doing. They were told to finish the job or they'd get fired. There are so many things that went wrong. Number one we didn't even get hardwood, so we didn't get the product we ordered. Next, areas of the floor are lopsided and you can visibly see uneven wood. Next, the transition from hallway to bathroom is 3/4 inch high instead of a smooth transition and they had to cut the bathroom floor shorter so it could close over the transition.

There are gaps between the floor and the wall now because they never took off the trim while placing the floor. They cut into the stair railing and puttied a random piece of wood there to cover up a hole. They glued the floor together with wood putty. We want a refund on the floor and money for a new bathroom for that they cut. We have been trying to speak to management for five days now and no one is calling us. Every time we call customer services transfers us to a voicemail. The work was done Friday Feb. 16-18 with the guy working twelve hour days, not knowing what he was doing. I couldn't talk to him about my concerns because he didn't speak English and management offices were "closed." My husband and I work full time jobs and don't know how to handle this or have time. No one from management has cared to call back or to even come look at the floor.

Also, the installers they sent were Spanish-speaking workers and they didn't understand what I was saying and they couldn't communicate with me. But in terms of quality of the carpet, it was great.

We had the bathrooms and the laundry room retiled and we had hardwood installed in the master bedroom. We had previously purchased hardwood floors for the rest of our house from Empire and we wanted to make sure the hardwood matched. I was fairly good with the cost and I'm happy with the quality. But for the installation, they were over the top, off-the-chart horrible. They were going to do the tile first before doing the hardwood, which made sense. But they installed the wrong tile and the whole affair was the nightmare before Christmas. We bought it in November and we finished it up finally in late January. And yet, the company advertises next-day installation. The service was also way below par in all respects.

When the tile people came in, they didn’t show me the product ahead of time. I had to go to work and I assumed they had the product. I guess I should have taken the lead on it but we had had our hardwood floors put in about two years ago and I forgot Empire's procedure to show the product ahead of time and to walk through the whole process with the installer. Aside from that, I had one request before I left for work. I asked them to please hang a piece of plastic between the master bedroom and the master bathroom so that it will help contain some of the dust. There's no door there. It was just an archway and we’d had tile ripped up before the other hardwood and I knew what it was going to be. The installers said, “Of course sir. We’d be happy to do that.” But when I came back, I found out that they did not put up the plastic.

On top of that, we had two toilets that had to be lifted up but after they reinstalled the other toilet, we couldn’t use it because every time we flushed, the water would seep through the new grout in the new tile. It did that because they didn’t replace the wax ring. They took the old one and just stuck the toilet on there. But I didn’t know initially that that was what they had done and for a month and a half we had one toilet we couldn’t even use.

For the first several weeks, they kept making the appointment to come but on the day of, after the robo call saying they're on they're on their way, I would get a call from the installation department saying they won't be here and they don't have the product. It wasn’t until this happened twice that they finally stepped up and admitted that the reason they didn't have the tile was because they installed the wrong one. My wife and I had suspected it was the wrong tile. We bought it in the evening and we thought maybe the lighting was wrong. But it didn’t look like what we’d ordered. We thought maybe we could live with it. When they finally admitted that they’d put in the wrong tile, it was the week before Christmas and we were getting ready to leave for Michigan. So I asked if they would come the week after New Year’s and we would reschedule but they never called.

I finally called them a week after New Year’s and got a date set up. They came out and the gentleman showed me the product that time. I walked him through and he followed the procedure. I made the same request to put a plastic but he said he had to talk to his manager. He was out of the house for about 10 minutes and when he came back, he said he couldn't install the tile because there was too much liability here. He said there was going to be a lot of dust here. I told him I knew that but he wouldn't do the job. He got in the truck, took the new tile and drove away. Then I spent that entire day trying to get a hold of Empire because when you call the installation department, nobody answers those phones.

In this day and age, people should be able to text and answer phones. We should not be put on recording and then not get phone calls back especially when I had been treated the way that we had been treated. Finally, a very nice young lady answered and she had helped us previously in getting this all corrected. I told her the story and she said she made sure they had all the materials and everything was ready to go. But it wasn’t a problem with materials. He refused to install it. She asked for a couple of hours to get it straight.

Then the supervisor of the installation department called and he started the conversation by being really snotty to me. He implied that it was our fault because we were willing to keep the old tile. The only reason we were willing to keep it was because we didn’t know it was the wrong tile. On top of that, they never had the right tile and they never brought it here. After I explained everything I've been through, he was much nicer because he realized that truly if I called a lawyer I could have really made a big thing about it because it was really so poorly handled.

They sent a new team out and those guys were polite and organized. They listened to me and they did a wonderful wonderful job putting in the tile. They worked neatly and cleaned up after themselves. The people who put in our hardwood were outstanding as well. They absolutely did a wonderful job. They showed us the product ahead of time, followed all of the company's procedures and listened to our request. I would use those installers again and we are happy with what we have now. Empire Today has a good reputation and I know for a fact that my bad experience is not Empire's way of working. But I couldn’t possibly go back to them again from what I went through.

We had Berber carpet installed in September of 2016. By November, the carpet was falling apart, frayed and looked to be at least 20 years old. An inspector was out and immediately stated that this was a manufacturer's defect and they would send a salesperson out for us to choose a new carpet to be installed at no additional cost to us. We met with the salesperson, chose another carpet and set up a time (February 2017) for installation. By August, seams were failing and it took until November 4th for an inspector to come out, take pictures and tell us that we should hear something back in a few days. A week passed and we had not heard from anyone. Damage getting worse, holidays approaching. I was phoning daily and could not speak to anyone but the "call center people" - who were wonderful - understanding and as helpful as their job limitations could be.

I received a letter in the mail stating they had been trying to reach me and could I please phone a specific number. I did so and I was told they have been leaving messages for me daily - REALLY? Because I love living with damaged carpet; especially approaching the holiday entertaining time of the year!!! Everyone else in the world could reach me but Empire Carpet! I finally was able to speak with a customer service rep who still insists that he cannot phone me so we resorted to email. Well, apparently, he isn't having much luck with that either! A salesperson was out on January 17th (I believe) and she was surprised to see the carpet and learn that we were told we could choose another alternative to Berber since twice we have damage. She agreed that the carpet was not damaged, it was poorly installed. Only the seams were failing in several locations.

The next day, that customer service rep discovered how to email me again and asked when they could install our new carpet. I explained that we were also now considering changing to a laminate after speaking with the sales rep. We were told (in writing, by email of c.s. rep) that that would be okay and it would be greatly discounted. Another salesperson was out on January 31st - we chose a carpet and two different laminate options that we are still waiting on pricing for. Meanwhile, we have taken evening/lunch/weekend time on 5 different occasions to meet with reps, we have taken off of work twice for installation. We have spent hours of phone and email time. I am absolutely done and now want a complete refund from Empire of our 2016 purchase price and we will go elsewhere. If I could, I would give a minus rating, not a "1". Contacting the BBB also!

Pushy salesman, dishonest scheduling, lousy customer service - After asking what general color we were considering, the Empire salesman came in with an extremely small assortment of carpet samples - either 6 or 9 samples glued onto a board. He claimed he had others but clearly had no intention of letting me see them, and wouldn't get them out of his car when I asked. His explanation was that, if I was lucky, he'd be able to get us the sale price for the 'better stuff' (i.e. the few he'd brought inside). He even wasted additional time going through the motions of a call to the manager to see if he could get approved to sell us one of his chosen few for a 'great price.' When I relayed our experience later to the coworker who had recommended Empire, she said they'd had the same salesman, who had given them the exact same sales pitch down to the phone call, although for them, fortunately, scheduling was not an issue.

When I told the salesman that the purchase was completely dependent on scheduling - that we would only proceed if we could have an afternoon appointment - he assured me that would not be a problem, and that our installation would be scheduled as the last appointment of the day. I got a phone call the day before, and mentioned this to the phone representative, who also put a note on our order and said that would be fine - they would not arrive before 3:00 p.m. The next morning, shortly after 8 a.m. a white van pulled in. I asked how long the job would take and was told "about an hour." Rather than send them away I told them to go ahead. By the time they left it had been almost three hours. So much for working around our schedule.

I should note here that the installation and carpet were adequate, and I'm sure the installers had nothing to do with the scheduling. The quality of the carpet is pretty much on par with what we would have bought for a similar price at Home Depot, but we foolishly chose Empire specifically for flexibility of scheduling. When I called customer service I was told there was no way to schedule anything more specific than between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and that they never would have promised anything of the sort. Will never deal with Empire again.

I had a carpet work done by Empire Today and the salesman was kind of funny. We have the carpet on our living room. I was going to get Menards. It seemed like the better carpet but they didn’t have installers. I liked Empire Today just because they took care of everything. They kind of gave me a little scare that they weren’t gonna be here that day. “Sorry, we don’t have your carpet.” I took the day off and I can’t get any other days off. But somehow that lady at the distribution center in Youngstown made it work.

I like the way the carpet looks. When I got divorced I bought this house. It’s 103 years old and had updates. The walls had flower wallpapers so I got new drywall. It’s all white so I think it all works together. I don’t know too much about decorating so I went with something neutral for everything. I don’t let anybody walk on it. It was a bit expensive. It shouldn’t be that way but my daughter moved out to finish college and I’m just trying to fix the place up a little. I'm thinking about when I retire to move to Florida if I make it nice I'm getting more rent for it.

The installers were really excellent. I have a little background in carpet. I helped a guy install it before when I was younger so I kind of know what’s going on. There were a couple of them. I'm seeing a little bit of a seam more and more and I realize I didn’t get the best carpet they have. That carpet installer taught me how to do the tape and match up the line. They rolled that out and they had it done in no time. The installers were very efficient people and I would recommend them. I also like the fact that they don’t have stores. It kind of worked.

We contact Empire Today and scheduled an in-home sales appointment for some new carpet. Our salesperson, David **, arrived on time and was very friendly and congenial. He measured our space, brought in a number of carpet samples that met our needs, and helped us make a selection within our desired colors and budget. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. At the end of the sales appointment, David took a deposit and scheduled our installation for Monday, 2/12. We were told we'd receive a call that morning with a more precise arrival window, so I planned to work from home that day. We subsequently received an e-mailed confirmation of the installation day.

On Monday, 2/12, we never received a morning call. So, around 11 am, I called to inquire what was going on and was told that we were scheduled for 2/15!? After spending about a half hour on the phone squabbling with them, I was told that an "installation supervisor" was trying to locate a crew and would be back in touch "shortly" to see IF they could get us installed that day (the installation day we were PROMISED). (NOTE: Empire has various regional headquarters, but ALL phone traffic is routed through Chicago. You simply CAN'T get a live, local manager on the phone under any circumstances.)

Several hours went by with no return phone call. So, at around 2 pm, I called again. I was again given a run-around, put on hold while they allegedly contacted the "regional team", and was again promised a return phone call. By 5:30 pm, I still had received no call and we contacted them again. At this point, we demanded a discount, which we were promised, and we rescheduled for Saturday, 2/17 - today - and were told they would try very hard to make sure we were the first appointment of the day.

At 7 am this morning, a "robo" call woke me up to say that Empire would be out to install our carpet "this morning". Not a very specific time, but at least morning gave us something of a window, so I got up and ready, and prepared the house to have the carpet installed. By 11:30 am, we still had heard NOTHING further from Empire and the "morning" was almost gone. So I called Empire and found out that morning means something different in Empire-land than everywhere else - we had been assigned a "late morning" appointment, which to them means between 11 am and 2 pm. Clearly, we were NOT the first appointment of the day and I would have to wait. (I asked the customer service rep to have a MANAGER from the region reach out to me. I call that I have not ever received and doubt that I ever will since they NEVER seem to return phone calls.)

At 3:00 pm, the installation crew finally arrived. They were very friendly and apologetic, but they said they were heavily booked (and indicated that this is typical). After laying some pieces of scrap carpet to protect our month-old new floor, they said they needed to use our garage to cut the carpet since it was snowing. There are several issues with this: Their confirmation e-mail goes into great detail about what you must do to prepare for Empire's arrival - and it makes NO mention of a clear, dry area where they can cut large pieces of carpet.

The person whose car was parked in the garage was away from the house - with his keys. Like most people, we have lives and chores and things to do, and the entire family was not going to be confined to the house waiting for the carpet guys. The snow had been in the forecast for DAYS and, had Empire arrived IN THE MORNING as they were supposed to, this would have been a non-issue.

At this point, I was at the end of my rope, and there was no apparent way to get this carpet installed today unless we waited a couple of hours until the car could be moved out of our garage. So I called Customer DIS-service yet again, and I canceled the order. I asked that a manager still give me a call (I won't hold my breath) and they indicated that it would take 7-10 business days to see the refund on my card. (I returned something to Safeway yesterday and saw the refund THE SAME DAY; Amazon usually issues refunds within a day or two. In other words, Empire is as inefficient at issuing refunds as they are at installing carpets.) There are many choices for purchasing and installing carpets in our area, some of them highly price-competitive with Empire. We'll be giving those other places a try and I strongly encourage you also to look elsewhere for your carpet and flooring needs. Empire should be avoided at all costs.

Met with a salesperson to replace my carpets, scheduled my installation for 2/14/18. I got a call on the 14th saying they would be there in the afternoon to install the carpets. At 2pm I got a call from the installer saying he was running late on the job before mine and didn't realize I had such a big job and he would not be able to finish it if he started it after the job he was on. I had already taken off work and waited around all day. I couldn't take another day so I reluctantly agreed to Saturday morning "first thing" he told me.

Here it is Saturday, I received an automated message saying that they would be there in the afternoon (again) to install the carpets. Got a call at 1pm saying the installers were delayed on the job before (again) but they would definitely be there today. So here I am again. It is now 4pm and no installer to do my "big job" that would take all day! 2 days of missed work and still no carpets. This company need to get its act together. Waiting 30 more min before I cancel my entire order!! This has cost me more in time off than the job itself.

Very poor communication with the company. They "Empire" cannot seem to get organized between the people you speak with over the phone and the installers. Now that they have my money they cannot seem to get their act together and complete the job. Called the sales rep "Bob" numerous times and left messages with no return call back from him. The first time they came the carpet could not be installed because it was measured incorrectly and they did not have enough carpet. They said they would install what they had and come back and "patch up" the rest. I said this was unacceptable and requested them to reschedule and come back and do the job completely, properly with no patching. On the reschedule I was told to expect them by 9-9:30 am on 2/15/18. Was called and told by a Empire rep that they would be coming by sometime after 2:00 pm.

Told the 3 different reps that this was unacceptable and that I did not want people working in my house after 5 pm. They assured me that it would be rescheduled to the following day 2/16/18 at 9-9:30 am. At 2:20 pm on 2/15/18 they show up after I had spoken with 3 different reps to reschedule for 2/16/18. No Communication between the phone people and the installers. Called Empire this morning to make sure that they are coming and they could not give me a definite time since they have an 8-5 time window. I do not have the time to keep sitting around waiting for them to arrive. I have other things to do in my life. This is the 3rd time to attempt them to get the job done and if they show up after 2 pm I am sure they will be here into the evening which I had previously expressed was unacceptable. If I had known I would have canceled this contract and would go elsewhere. Still the rep "Bob" who set up the contract has not called.

One thing that bothers me when speaking to Bob originally I had expressed that we would be looking at other companies and he assured us that the other companies were not reliable and would not do the quality of work that his could do for us. The only reason I am giving a 1 is because the kitchen floor and bathroom work that was done separately from the carpet was done very well and those workers who showed up when they said would show up did a fine job. Again I will never recommend or use this company again and wish that I had my money back. No care by the company after the sale and excuse my language piss poor communication between their phone people the customer and the installers. I said my piece.

Well again no return call and don't expect to get one. I am very disappointed in the Detroit office and Marla ** lack of follow up. I have always enjoyed using Empire and have recommended them several times to friends, family and landlords I know. The floor was originally put in by Empire about seven years ago and then we had some water damage. Empire's price seemed a little less expensive and the quality seemed to be comparable when we initially looked. We got Empire again and they installed porcelain tile floor and composite wooden floor in the kitchen, hallway, living room, and dining room. It's quite extensive and the actual installation took three days, which I anticipated to be that long. The installers were helpful, courteous, and they explained what they were doing. We also had to make some decisions on the fly and it was fine. I tell others to choose Empire as one of their options, but then always compare.

We were overjoyed when our beautiful new floors were installed. We needed something that would hold up to our kids and our dogs and the sales rep recommended their low maintenance laminate flooring. That was the end of the great customer service. There was a small spot, where it looked like the flooring was lifting. Smaller than a dime size in between two boards. We left that alone because it seemed so minimal until it started happening on a larger scale in our entryway. Our transition between the carpet and flooring had become detached. We called to have it fixed. They told us someone would be out to assess the issue in the entry and fix the transition. They could provide a date, but not a time, so would update us.

We had a rep show up unannounced. Frustrating, but at least they showed up. We walked around to show look over the problem areas and was informed that it looked like water damage. From where, or what I have no idea. I told them there is no way. I walked them to the small spot in the kitchen that looked the same, that happened first, and they informed me that that was a product defect, not water damage. I asked how they could differentiate, and was told, it just is. They took pictures and said they would send them in and we should hear from someone within 24 to 48 hours.

It took two weeks for us to get a callback, and that wasn't until we called them first. We called the 1800 number. We were told there were notes our case and we should have heard something already. They would update the case and we would get a callback within 24 hours. Again, that didn't happen. I called back again 3 days later, and was told there were notes that a message was left, but at another number, and was assured a call back again in 24 hours from the local Atlanta office. Another 3 days pass and we call back, I'm transferred directly to the Atlanta office where I am told, the work we need done is not covered by warranty because the installer stated there was a high moisture issue.

I asked how that is determined, especially when we were told that one thing was a product defect and the other moisture issue by simply looking at it. She said they have a tool to gauge it...that was never used. I was asked to provide a number I would be at all day so that our issue can be escalated and called back that day. That was again 4 days ago, and we haven't heard from anyone again. We are extremely disappointed in the effort we have to continuously put forth and the lack of follow through on the part of Empire Today.

I'm a repeat customer of Empire Today. I just had my kitchen done because I was very satisfied with the job they did initially with my laminates. I had trouble getting my floors installed and it seemed like it was going crazy. What had happened was because we had water damage they had just taken up half of the flooring and left the other part down so at first when the sales rep came, they could just finish that off. But because it was done long ago it had a different locking mechanism so we found out we had to have the whole floor done. So it was more money than I had expected. But then finally everything worked out. I have the vinyl that looks like tile installed and I'm satisfied with how it looks and the installation went well. I don’t have to worry about it getting wet especially being that it’s in the kitchen. When they came back and got it straightened out I was satisfied with my flooring in the kitchen and I would recommend them.

This is a new house purchase for us so we were changing things to our taste. There’s a company here in town that we went and talked to and we didn’t like the way they treated us, so we called Empire. We had them do carpeting in three bedrooms and an office. We got their highest quality and that was the quality that we were looking at from Caro-San. When we called them initially, the sales guy came out and brought everything with him, and he explained how they worked. He was very conscientious and he made sure everything was followed up on.

Empire had their subcontractors do the installation and those guys were very nice. They did a good job cleaning up. The guy that sold me the carpet came over during the day of the installation. A quality control person who oversees installation came over that day as well. She explained who she was and what she was there for. She talked to the guys and made sure that we were all happy and everybody understood one another. They met our time frame, so they were fine. I would definitely tell others to hire them without a doubt.

    Original Review: Feb. 9, 2018

Disappointed is an understatement. My 73 year old mother and I sat down with the salesman from Empire in November in her home and clearly explained that we were looking at re-carpeting the floating stairs in her home. Keep in mind these stairs have been carpets over and over through the past 43 years my parents have lived in this home. When we questions the idea of placing a Berber style carpet on these type of stairs the salesman assured us that is would be the best type to use and that they do this all the time. I asked him specifically about the Berber because I know it does not bend and mold as easy as most other carpets. He said, "No problems. I have been doing this a long time."

We had a few other questions such as do they have installers that know how to do a float style stairs. Once again the answer was YES. Well fast forward to installation day and we have ONE person show up install who looked at the staircase and tells us “I have never done this type of stairs.” This is not a one man job which we told the salesman on day one. I called and explained to them that they needed to send out at least 2 people to do this job. The installation was rescheduled and two gentlemen showed to do installation and by the time and looks of it they were not knowledgeable either on how to get this stiff Berber carpet to bend around the stairs. It took them 12 hours (9am to 9:30pm) to complete the job.

Less than 2 weeks later we notice that the carpet is coming apart and the carpet look as though it is shrinking or pulling away in places on the stairs in areas. We made a total of 6 calls to customer services before we finally heard back from someone. Empire has sent out 2 different people to see the problem and have taken photos and stated that they see that the problem is that the wrong carpet was sold to us. However after review from whoever is making the decisions they will send out another person to look at it. We have had no show for appointments to add to the many calls and conversations that have been had.

No one wants to help fix the problem. We have asked them to simply replace the carpet with a normal low shag version that will actually bend around the stairs. The same type we have had for many years. The customer service / Sales supervisor said it’s the installers fault. The installers have come out and when they called to discuss with their supervisor about the problem. They clearly stated that the carpet is the wrong style for these types of stairs.

The supervisor's answer is ”It’s not our problem. They can purchase a new style carpet if they want”. I can’t believe that after all the problems we have they want my mother to pay more to have the problem corrected. They even asked if we had the carpets cleaned and that is why it has come apart and shrank. Are you kidding me? What a complete joke. So the bottom line is NO ONE WANTS TO HELP OR FIX THE PROBLEM BUT EVERYONE WANTS TO BLAME THE OTHER PERSON. Sad to see that they would take advantage of a customer let alone a senior citizen. I am disgusted in these people. I will never use this company again.

I had laminate floors installed throughout the downstairs at our home in 2013. Initially, Empire was very responsive and accommodating during the purchase and initial install. Little did I know, moving forward, Empire would be a nightmare! After the initial install (right after) I noticed that the floor would give in some places (dip)... I thought, this is odd, the entire first floor is slab/concrete. The installer told me that this was normal and it should settle. Silly me for believing this, but how was I to know... never had laminate before. 5 months into this "Newly Installed" floor, we noticed that the panels flooring started shifting and sliding around. We called Empire several times and finally got someone out more than 30 days later. They replaced the areas that were affected and off they went.

Another 8 months later, the problem showed up again and this time in several areas. After calling them several times, they said this was an "installation issue and was not covered under the installation warranty" which was 12 months. Again, SILLY ME! I believed them and carried on completely disappointed in my installers. Lo and behold I get a water leak in my kitchen (an area that had the laminate installed). This time I call Empire and request replacement flooring. "They do not sell the flooring without the install", they explain. "Ok, well send someone out because I need to replace 16 sq ft of flooring and no one carries your product." We schedule an appt... aaannddd yup you guessed it, they no longer carry that flooring but could install all new flooring downstairs at a staggering "more than I paid before". So we decided to pass on that and installed similar flooring from a local flooring company in just the affected area.

During that install we talked to these installers about what was going on with our flooring throughout our downstairs and what they had told us. The installers said that was absurd! The material was faulty. The locking mechanisms were failing allowing the flooring to slide around. So we called Empire again, and again, and again. Of course when we talked to someone and they assured us someone would call us back NO ONE EVER DID. Well ok! That's that. Never getting flooring from Empire again, right? WRONG. Well, we needed new carpet upstairs and yup you guessed it AGAIN!!! We figured we would at least get a quote from Empire. Once again, they came out and showed us their options. BUT THIS TIME, I WAS READY. During this appt I said, "Well this could work, but first I need to get a clear answer and/or fix on my current laminate".

Well this time they were going to get it right for me, I mean, they had a $10k carpet job hanging in the balance, right? WRONG!!! This back and forth calling went on for a few weeks. They finally sent an Empire inspector out on September 4th. He drafted his report, or so he said but I never heard anything. I called again in October and was told, "We will call you back from the local office." I called again in November and finally got through to the Local Operations Manager. He assured me that they would get it fixed. A third party inspector would be sent out to verify the issues. Now it's January, and no call. So I call, and the Manager admits to dropping the ball (That's a first)... he forgot. Well, Finally, 3 days later a third party inspector. As he's inspecting my flooring, I strike up a conversation. I asked him what he thought, he said, "I can't say with certainty but it looks like the flooring is faulty." I said ok, "well anything else that you can see?"

He says, "No not really, one of the big things they look for are signs of water damage in the affected areas, but you guys don't have that." Well that was a good sign for us or was it? He states, "I have 48 hrs to get this back to them and you should hear something soon." Well the wait begins. After waiting a three weeks, I call in. I talk with Angelica from the San Antonio/Austin Branch. She says, "the manager reviewed the report and it shows "WATER DAMAGE" so the flooring will not be covered." WHAT!? Water damage, NOT POSSIBLE! Angelica says, that's what the manager said but I haven't seen the report. Well ok, I need to see the report. Angelica assures me that she will have the manager call me and she will send out the report. Well that was last week and here we are on February 8, 2018. I called them Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Angelica had conveniently JUST LEFT for the day.

Today when I called, "SHE JUST LEFT FOR VACATION but your report was mailed out to you." No one else is available to take my call! STILL NO "MAILED" INSPECTION REPORT. I wish they could just tell me the truth. "We are sorry but replacing your floor would cost way too much and we feel like our bottom line is more important than your customer experience. For that reason, we will be coming up with any and every excuse to avoid your calls and not cover your replacement flooring. Thank you and we hope you can still recommend us to your friends and family in hopes that we can take their money and leave them as unhappy as you are!" Well EMPIRE, was that sooo hard?! FOR ALL OF THIS, I AM PLACING THIS LOOOONNNGG REVIEW. This Company may be too big to provide EVERY customer with QUALITY workmanship and customer service.

A very good friend of mine had Empire put her carpet down as well as my sister and they were all pleased. My sister had a little problem but they reached out and reimbursed her for the damage. So I was familiar with Empire Today and had them do quite a bit of work for me. I had laminated flooring installed in the hallway and closets. I was pleased with that so I decided to go back to them and had vinyl planks put down in the family room. Then they're supposed to be coming back on the 17th to put carpet in one bedroom. I like the durability of my flooring. I'm also pleased with the workmanship more so than anything. Empire is doing a very good job as long as they stand by their work and they seem to do that. So far, they've been very reliable and they go on extra to please their customer.

Their installation team were very nice, too. They were willing to correct anything that I was displeased with and I liked that. For instance, when they first put the vinyl flooring in, they put white flooring on my mantle. But my floor is dark so it didn't match. They said that they didn't have the molding to go with it and that they didn't carry anything that would match that. So, I had them take out the white one and replace it with what I had left over from the other flooring. But it was lighter and still not the same. I was a little displeased that they didn't have the matching molding to the floor, but I was at Menards and they had the molding that would match. So I called and told Empire that I got the molding that matched the floor and asked them to come back and put it down.

I SIGNED A CONTRACT AND GAVE A DEPOSIT TO EMPIRE on 2/5/18 with installation to take place on 2/8/18. On 2/7/18 I received a text message confirming installation for 2/8/18. That evening I received a telephone call asking if we could change the day of the installation due to the Eagles Parade. I said no because I purposely took off for the installation and I live in Northeast Philadelphia, nowhere near the driving issues that might exist. They were okay with that. Today I received a call from Empire Today telling me that they did not have the carpet I purchased in stock and therefore would not be able to deliver on 2/8/18. I let them know I did not believe them and canceled my order with them asking them to return my deposit. Just as I am bound by contracts that I sign, Empire should be bound by their contract and signature and not be able to make up a lame excuses for breaking the contract.

The actual contract was signed on company's salesman's IPAD, but attached is a Change of Order Form which I've signed because I had changed the color of carpeting in my bedroom. As you can see, installation is February 8... I've now lost a paid day from work for nothing. Are they going to be responsible to reimburse me for that? I want them held accountable.

Another fellow came out and he retacked it. He was very professional. The carpeting in the den looks good. We just put it in a couple of months ago, and I'm happy with it at this point. The quality of the product is good. And even though there was an initial problem, the follow up was good.

She gave me the price and everything and we agreed to it. The installers also did a really good job. They were here on time, they did what they were supposed to do and took everything with them. The quality of the flooring is great. It shines and it's really nice. I don’t have to do anything to it but wipe the dust off now and then. This is the best experience I've had and I'd tell others about everything that I had done.

My wife, son and I recently purchased A new house. The flooring in the house was in need of replacement so we hopped online and quickly found Empire Today. I was really excited to see that in some cases they were able to install the floors next day. This was a plus for us because we only had two weeks till we had to move in. So I ended up having to take off work to meet with the Empire Today to get an estimate and pick out the flooring. Unfortunately they never showed up or called to let me know they were not coming. I call them twice and they could not get a hold of the employee that was supposed to be coming.

My wife then called after and they said they were unable to come that day. This was very aggravating and upset us. Why are we calling? Can’t you at least call us? Anyway we waited at this property two hours for no reason. Will never use or recommend to anyone. I would go find someone else that’s more professional than this. Empire Today cannot hold to their own timeline, what makes you think they can get the job done?

Lo and behold no one called me until 4 pm to tell me that the truck broke down and that I would need to reschedule. I called in to complain. No one could find a supervisor or manager. They left me on hold for twenty minutes and then left me on hold another fifteen minutes. By this time I am at my wit's end. So since my patience was wearing thin I politely cancelled and asked for a refund because I believe that this is a bad omen so instead of continuing with an unprofessional company I have decided to give my business to someone locally and reliable.

I will not do business again with this company. Oh by the way they offered me a $50.00 discount I explained that the $50.00 would not cover part of my day if I had gone to work. This is unbelievable how customer service in this day and time can still be horrible from companies who are suppose to provide a service. The salesman was nice. We agreed to have our living room carpeted. When the installers arrived. They were in a beat up, unmarked van, parked illegally on the street, no identification or uniforms at all. And proceeded to track snow, and salt into the house with each trip through the door. Including onto the new carpet after they installed it. This is only just the start. The installer Tech wanted to take my credit card out to his van in order to complete the payment over the phone. For anyone who's ever been a victim of credit card fraud this is a huge no no. I then had to hear him struggle to pronounce basic English words to the person on the other end of the phone to correctly pay the balance on my carpet order.

The two installers proceeded to converse with each other during the entire installation in a foreign language as to keep me in the dark about the proceedings of the installation. Come to find out the carpet they laid down was too short on one side leaving an exposed edge by the baseboards. I recorded with video them struggling and struggling to force the carpet to fit. They use roofing nails and requested I turn the heat in the house up to maximum to try and cheat the carpet into fitting at the expense of the premium pad underneath it.

During the course of the installation the installer also ripped a quarter-size section of the carpet by the wall which he proceeded to try and cover up using spray adhesive. Little did either of them know I have all of this recorded on video. I am severely disappointed with the installation service. I am left with a carpet that does not fit on one edge and also a carpet with a rip in it that stands out. The installers were dishonest. They're all so bad at their job. Instead of getting a carpet that they forced it to stretch which it did not do. In their struggles to make it fit they ripped the carpet and attempted to cover it up with spray adhesive. All the while talking to each other in a way as to hide the fact that the job was not proceeding well.

The whole experience was videotaped by me. I have evidence that these installers did a horrible job in my living room and I plan to contact Empire Today seeking a refund for the horrible workmanship even worse customer service and lack of respect to even wear booties on my new carpet. The poor level of service I received is unacceptable. I paid good money and these installers left me with a rip in my carpet that was brand new and carpet that does not even fit the room on one edge. Then they proceeded to walk all over it tracking snow and salt in the house. The experience was embarrassing inexcusable and I am going to seek refund. The icing on the cake was that they also left two garbage carpet scraps from the vents they had to cut out on my front yard.

I got some carpet from Empire Today to install at our bedroom. There’s only a little pressure at the beginning. But for the most part from beginning to end it’s quick and easy. I like the color and the price of the carpet. I went by the sales rep as far as the under part of the carpets -- the padding which she seem to be knowledgeable about. When you’re getting padding you should get the thickest padding you can possibly get because the padding will last longer than the carpet – will give out before the carpet will and the carpet won’t be as good as it used to. The installers came on time. They were in and out quick and they did a nice cleanup.

It ended up being cheaper overall. They came in and did the window treatments for one room. They put heavyweight custom blinds and that part ended up looking pretty nice. The persons who installed them were professional and got it done in around two hours. It was as needed. Empire also came to put in the butterscotch flooring but I ended up getting a refund for it. The subflooring wasn't as good as they needed it to be and I wasn't going to spend more money to fix up the joints for that. Empire was willing to void the warranty to have them just come over and and do the flooring anyways. We had to figure out their policy and what I needed to do to get my flooring done, but everything has worked out fine.

Empire Today used to be good because I use them all the time. I had bought a couple of homes and they put in the carpets, and I was always satisfied with them. But now they’re not the same and it seems they got a little bit of a problem. I had some carpeting put in the hallways of an apartment building I own and it took them forever. One day they said they had to comeback because they couldn’t roll the carpet out as it was going to rain, so they came the next day. When they did both hallways, they were short so that didn’t help. They had to come back and end it. It pushed two days there except they were coming back the next day and then didn’t come back in. It was really sad the way they did it. So, it took them between four to five days before they got to each two out of two hallways to get them in. I called Empire and complained about it but it’s like they didn’t care. They have a good product but with that experience, I wouldn't deal with them anymore. They need to check out some of the people they got working. I hope it gets better and maybe they’d call me with something to get me to comeback.

I could walk on it barefoot perfectly fine. However, I'm having problems with it coming up with spots. I’ve reported it to Empire Today but they need to come back out to fix the problem which is irritating. They scheduled to get me a work ticket and I’m waiting for them to call me back to schedule a day they would come out. It has been about a week waiting for it.

Then we’ve noticed some little gouges in the hardwood from the install that we didn’t notice right away. I’m having a hard time getting Empire Today to come out and inspect it for me, and maybe fix it. So I’m really not impressed right now. A day before yesterday I talked to someone about the wood and she said that looking at the photos that the installer took, she didn’t see any damage and that they didn’t ‘cause the damage. She was going to send me copies of the photos but I have yet to see them too. I’m not telling them to replace my floors, just come look and see if there’s something we can do to make it look a little better in that spot. Other than that, the install guys were great and very courteous for everything. The salespeople were fantastic, and I do love the look of the products. It’s just the after effect when I want them to come back out to look at them that's like pulling teeth.

He took some notes, told what materials would be needed, and informed me that someone would be contacting me to schedule a repair date.

After waiting several days, I again called Empire yesterday and was told that I was scheduled for the next day (today) between 12 and 4. I asked the lady why no one called me to inform me of this. At any rate, I get a call today asking if an installer had contacted me to let me know that they were on their way. After telling her I hadn't, she placed a call to the installer. Ten or fifteen minutes later, the installer calls me and tells me that he wouldn't be here until around 6. But what really astounded me was him telling me that he would only be "taking pictures and assessing the situation." I immediately told him that someone had already assessed the problem. So that's where we are... I'm awaiting the arrival of the installer to do a 2nd assessment. I must say this has been a horrible experience. I will never, ever do business with Empire again. Nor will I recommend that others do business with them.

I like the carpet installed by Empire Today in two bedrooms, dining room, living room, and the hallway in my home. It doesn’t look cheap and it looks plush. I’ve been using Empire for 20 years, and they've always been good and they do a good job. They don’t keep me waiting a long time before they come and do the installation. Everybody has been very kind and very nice. I only had one problem. They sent a young lady who was new, and to me, she was like a deer caught in headlights. But she was just starting out, so I can’t fault her too much, and she was by herself. They finally had to replace her and another lady came out and finally took care of it. Empire is a good company and I would recommend them.

I have two rooms where I had Empire today install carpet. We went to two other local stores, but I went with them when we saw that the customer service did not have to ask the turn-around is going to be. But, our representative did not tell us, "Oh, you have to pull out the molding". So, we had the guys come and we weren't prepared and we lost that day and then rescheduled for another week and a half, and that was not good. Nevertheless, the flooring is good and I like its durability.

The price points are also good. Our local rep was good too. There was just that thing with the baseboards which should not have happened. So that was something that did not fit well with us and I don't know if I would recommend her again. Although, she might be the only person on the east end where we live as a rep. If we would have known about the install to come to the baseboards, we would have had it then installed pretty quick. There are a lot of people looking to do stuff and it’s great that they have the flexibility to do it that fast. But, other than that, everything else went very well. Give these guys a call.

We had used Empire Today in the past and we called them again to install a blue carpet in our home's basement. The pricing was okay but it was terrible customer service. This time, we had issues with the installation as they had some reasons why they were unable to install the carpeting and it was on the third time that they came when they finally installed it. It took 6 months or so because the stair didn’t work every time before they would do the installation. And then, the person who we purchased the carpet from said that the base molding shouldn’t be down but then somebody who came to install said that the base molding should be down. So, the installer called his supervisor and that’s what the supervisor said that needs to be done. There was a legit different opinion between two. I reached out once to Empire and we didn’t get a response. All in all, the carpet looks durable but the experience wasn’t so great.

I really try my best to be patient and give companies the opportunity to resolve the issue prior to leaving a review. But after 14 month of the runaround with Empire, my patience has run very thin. I paid over $9000 to get the flooring in my home done before the Holiday season 2016. I was extremely hesitant because of the reviews but not following my first mind, I schedule a consultation. The salesman was great and reassured me concerns. Assured me that I was getting a beautiful, sturdy product. The first installation for ceramic flooring in my bathrooms was cancelled due to not having installers available for the job. Red flag #1! Of course things happen so I was a tad bit aggravated but not overly concerned.

The following week, installers came out and completed the ceramics that literally took about 12 hours. Next would be the laminate flooring, which was a complete disaster. The installer came and removed all the carpet in my living, dining, kitchen area, a little under 700 sq ft. He did a moisture test that originally failed. He stated that it could be from past shampooing of the carpet and to give it a few days to dry out. He returned and stated that the floors passed the moisture test yet the floors would have to be leveled. At this point, I become very concerned. I asked him the cost and he stated that he would have to call and get a quote. He got a quote to level the area which was $1664 that had to be paid to order supplies. I paid $1664 and the floors were scheduled to be leveled 10/28/2016 since we would be out of town 10/29 - 10/31 giving enough time to dry prior to the laminate being installed.

So 10/28/2016 when I didn't get the installation reminder, I called empire who basically called me a liar that I did not have an appointment for that day and they had no one to level the floors. At this point, I snapped and still they did not care. They told me that if the installer made the mistake with scheduling, the installer had to fix the mistake. I was livid. The installer did find another installer available and sent him out to level the floors. He explained that there is no need to level the entire area, just to spots that needed leveling and wondered why he was loaded with so much material (concrete).

Upon leveling the floors, approximately 9 spots, the installer left with the extra product that was paid for. I reach out to empire with concerns about the $1664 that I paid and a credit for the labor & product since my floors were not leveled. They asked me to provide a video so that they can get a visual and estimate the cost. I did speak with Jessica ** who tried to assist me with getting this resolved. I sent her the video and it was sent to the installation manager to review. They ended up crediting me $550 which was not reasonable after they withheld the money until I took down my original review.

To this day, I have not been contacted by the installation manager, Joe ** to provided me with an update, explanation, resolution, nothing. My laminate floors were finally installed and I don't know yet if I'm totally satisfied. I feel that there are some spots that are very cushioned, bouncy, soft and I don't know if it is because the floors were not entirely leveled. I expressed my concerns and was told an inspector would come out and do a final inspection. That never happened. They just never show up and don't have the decency to even call and cancel.

I feel like dealing with Empire is not worth the aggravation and I would definitely not recommend them nor do business with them again. The customer service reps are not useful since they are based out of Texas. So they always had to place me on hold and reach out to the Orlando office who were never available. Fast forward to January 2018, I noticed that there was some damage to two areas in my home. I immediately contacted Empire and was told that my lifetime warranty has expired by 2 months.

Dee out of the Orlando office who was awesome by the way, advised me to send pictures of the damage, which I did. I was originally told that it looked like it may have been a manufacturer defect and that they would send out someone to repair. They would send the damaged pieces back to the manufacturer and John would be out to see exactly how much product was needed to repair the floor. John finally came out after 8pm, in the dark to inspect the floor and basically said that it was moisture damage and half of my living area and the entire kitchen needed to be replaced. Moisture from what I asked? I proceeded to show him what I used to clean the floor which requires no water. I do not have any kids, I did have not had any spills, or leaks.

He went so far as to say "maybe my dog peed." Are you kidding me. My dog is 7lbs and he does not pee in the house. I was furious! John left and I was contacted by Bill to come out and do an inspection as well. Bill did not show up on the first scheduled appointment yet on the 2nd appointment, 1/9/2018, he arrived late afternoon. He inspected the floor, took pictures and stated that he would contact me within 10 business days. To date I have not heard from Bill. I have left him voice messages as well as sent him an email detailing my frustrations. Still no response from anyone at Empire.

I honestly feel as if I was sold faulty cheap material. I should not be stuck with damaged floors at no fault of my own. I have been kind, respectful and patient dealing with Empire's unprofessionalism. All I want is to get what I paid for, and be happy with the investment to my home. If Empire cannot provide these things, my only other alternative is to seek legal assistance which will be worth every cent. Please give your hard earned money to a smaller, more organized company that values your business. I understand that some reviews you have to take with a grain of salt, but I would advise you to take heed.

After the installation, they didn't put the toilet back correctly which caused water damage to the bathroom and ceilings. $3000 later it's finally back to normal. After staying in contact with them through the entire process they finally told me at the END that I MIGHT be reimbursed and if so it will take about a month. I normally give people a second chance so I asked: "hey what can you offer to try to get my business again". If they said "sorry nothing" I would've understood but instead, they proceeded to ignore my question altogether. It's been a nightmare working with these guys but hey you get what you paid for. The sales representative was good though. That's about all I have to say that's positive.

A gentleman had come out and went through the process. I selected a flooring that would fit our price range. The man who came out told me what I qualified for and had me sign the tablet. Left me with the financing paperwork for my records. Fast forward. The flooring is installed and a month later we get a bill through a financer I've never heard of in my life and it's 100.00 over what I was quoted. I call Empire several times, talk to several people and they tell me that I simply signed for it. WHICH I DID NOT!! This goes on for a few weeks. I requested a document showing that I signed for it and there was no signature present. They tell me that the first loan I was applying for was denied and the secondary was approved after he had left my house.

I asked if I wasn't approved for the first option and I supposedly signed the second, why did he check the financing off (that I thought I was getting) on the slip and give it to me? I have a witness and she never heard him bring up yet secondary financing either And heard what I was signing for. We went through a lawyer and he said they have a document showing I signed (which they couldn't provide to me earlier, which again wasn't signed). And that it's costly to take them to court to prove they forged my signature electronically. THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION ON THE PRICE!!! A year later and I'm still paying over double what I was quoted. And to top it off they made it seem like I was dumb and that it was my fault!!

However, the vinyl was supposed to be in the living room and when they came in, they put it everywhere but in the living room. So, it was a mix-up, but all has been taken care of. I like the color and everything. It matches my wall. I have that solid oak paneling all over my house, in the hallways and then my cabinets, and everything is all pretty now and in the same color. I’m satisfied with everything that Empire did, and I will recommend Empire. If I had to do it all over again, I would prefer Empire Today.

Empire Today did our living room and hallways at our other house so we knew that they were good. We had estimates from two other places but Empire Today's cost and quality were the best. The two places that we called had the same carpet and was $100 cheaper but they couldn't guarantee when they could come to do it. It was also a discount outlet so I wasn't too sure if I wanted to trust them. So, we called and hired Empire Today to install carpet in the family room when we moved into this house. It's reasonably priced. Plus, I really like the color of the carpet and that it cleans nicely with the vacuum.

We were worried that we weren't going to get it in time for the holidays but we had them before Christmas and they installed it so quickly. The two young men that came did a very good job and were very timely and efficient. They had the old out and had the new one in in just over an hour. It comes up to where we've got hardwood so they had to roll the edge under and had to cut it in an angle because it doesn’t go straight across the room.

Empire was the least expensive compared to other brands when I looked online. There were some others that were close or a little bit less but they didn’t have as good reviews as Empire. The first time I used Empire was a few years ago when I had the carpet removed and replaced from three of the bedrooms. They did very well that time.

But it was very odd during this second time that they scheduled an appointment twice and I sat home all day but they never showed up. They said that the product wasn’t in stock and I said that it was totally fine but they still shouldn’t leave somebody waiting all day and one of them should have called. Both my home phone and my cell phone would clearly say if I have a missed call and they could have left a voice mail. Of course, twice they said that they called me and I felt a little like they thought that I was really that stupid. Yet the fact that they didn’t show up really hurts overall and I would have been much more upset if I didn't work from home and had taken a day off or worked my day-off to be around that then got stuck at home.

Still, the flooring met my expectations. I had a wood flooring in bedrooms and laminate flooring in the closet. Now, I have no more carpet in my house to vacuum. The flooring also looks so much better than a carpet. It is real easy to clean and not an issue. The other day, someone was over and he spilled a little bit of his drink. If it was carpet, it would have been stained. But with wood, just a damp paper towel and it was all clean. The upkeep is something to be done every other day and takes me 5 minutes. I use a little sweeper on mostly the walking area from the garage and it takes me less than two minutes. Overall, it was a good experience and I would tell others to reconfirm the installation three or four times.

Empire was advertising a 75% off sale with many sales ads running on television. Salesman comes for the free quote. Selling Shaw flooring. Price quote was on the high end but I felt the longevity of the company and promise of smooth installation and speedy service was worth it. Salesman and the television ads described the uniformed installation team able to move the furniture, do the job, put furniture back all in one day. I gave the deposit and scheduled for a Friday installation. My only reservation at the time was that the salesman could not tell me the cost of the materials separated from the installation. The 75% off was only on the materials. So I could not judge the savings on the materials.

The day of the installation only one installer was sent. The young man was not in uniform and said he a was sent by himself to do the job including moving furniture. They sent nothing for him to complete the trim or step. After many calls to customer service the installation manager came with the right color quarter round but not the step or correct finishing between kitchen and laminate. Manager assured me that he will make it right and will finish the job on Tuesday. He explained to the installer how to finish the job.

On Tuesday 2 men arrive one acting as interpreter for the man doing the work. They arrive at 3:00. They still do not have the right materials to finish. The same material was sent again. They feel they can complete the step and begin work. That could not be done either because the cement was not even. I called customer service several times. They could only pass the message along to the manager. He could not be found. Now the job is still not finished and they are supposed to return tomorrow. I received a call from an installation manager saying they will smooth out the cement tomorrow but the trim may be Friday! I will report more tomorrow.

My main complaint is that they are supposed to be professional installers but the ones that installed the tile measured wrong and filled in his mistakes by using caulk. It is very noticeable and I am very dissatisfied with the job they did. I did call and complain and they gave me back less than $100.

Also the ones that installed the tile got glue on my new carpet which I still have not gotten out. They seemed to be in a hurry because one of them had to be somewhere by a certain time. I’m still finding excess glue on the tile. We have had Empire do other carpet installation in our home and that turned out ok. I feel their standards have really fallen. I, however, had difficulty when the estimator came out and did the estimate. My whole bathroom was included in that estimate and somehow between his drawing and what they drew up for the gentlemen to come out, they left out my whole bathroom. So, it took me a couple of weeks or two at least to get them to get back to me about doing the other bathroom that was supposed to be done. I don’t want them to think that I’m messing with them from the beginning. Overall, my Empire Today experience was wonderful. The people that come here love my carpet so I told them to call Empire.

My house got flooded because of the hurricane so I had to replace the floor. When I called Empire Today, I had the salesman came out to my house and he showed me some samples. And that’s where I picked from. But I had a lot of problem with Empire Today trying to get different stuff done. They kept taking me through changes. I don’t live in that house and I stay 30 miles out. So I drive over there when they say they were coming, but they didn't come. They didn't even call to tell me they were not coming. I had ceramic tiles installed in both bathrooms, carpet in three bedrooms, and then laminate in the kitchen, dining area and the rest of the house.

The installers came out about five times, and they kept saying Empire didn’t get them the right material. So when the guy came out to install the laminate flooring, he had to come back twice because he didn’t have the right type of quarter round down. They gave him the quarter round that you put at the door. They told me it’d be a couple of days before they would get those. And then they called me and said that the truck in Dallas has broke down.

After a week, they finally got out there and finished the floor. It was crazy. I went through all these stuff with the people. They also messed up on the ceramic tiles in my front bathroom. The only people I didn’t have a problem with was the carpet people. I've told my neighbors that Empire made floors but after they've seen what I was going through, they became hesitant. When I called my salesman, he told me he will talk to his boss. But I'm not worries about the trim on the floor in my bathroom. I got all the stuff done and I'm getting ready to move in my house.

I had vinyl flooring installed by Empire Today in the whole house except for the bathrooms and the entrance hall, and I'm very happy. The salesman was very good. I asked him for copies of all the things I signed, and he sent me digital copies. Because there’s concrete underneath the floor, I asked the installers to put a layer of plastic underneath to keep the moisture from turning to mold. They did the installation in a timely fashion. It's cold when I walk barefoot on the flooring, and I miss my carpeting for that because I walk barefoot on my house all that time. But it looks nice and nothing has penetrated into it. The cost was probably more than I anticipated spending, but it has met my expectations in terms of quality.

In the past two months I’ve done three of four cargo shops with Empire Today. I’m a contractor and I use them a lot. I have no complaints with Empire other than one job that I actually referred out. I had my sales, got it to come out and everything else and had a Luna installer take care of the works and the work was the absolute worst job I’ve ever seen in my life, to the point where I was helping my customer figure it out. The bottom line he doesn’t ever want to use Empire again.

And in all my contracts now they say, “No Luna installers or the job will be cancelled.” It is that bad. He had a half inch gap between the base and the carpet line, tack strip was out almost three inches from the base with nothing holding it back up. It looked like a child went out there and did it. It was so horrible. It was nobody’s hand other than the installers that they sent. That process went on for probably three months him waiting to get carpet and get everything re-done and nobody went out to take care of it. I had to go out and take pictures and send it to somebody in the office to try to help this process roll.

But other than that incident I’ve got no problems. With the exception of that one job, I would definitely refer Empire Today all the way across the board with the side note stating that no Luna Installers are to step foot on my job. I’ve been using Empire now for almost four years now and I have done probably every bit of around 200 jobs with them and out of that we’ve had a couple of little minor things, nothing that couldn’t be resolved.

They’ve always been able to come back out at a timely fashion taken care of it. One I had a problem with a fee and they came out, no questions asked and took care of it and it was a done deal. Another one there was a couple of vents that I need to be cut in they come out, no questions asked, took care of it, and easy breezy done deal. I could not ask for a better salesman than Daniel.

Like I have been through prior to her, I had two other salesman and the one I was not happy with in the slightest which was on the very first job I can say almost four years ago and then we got it worked out. Then he left, referred me to somebody else. I didn’t like that guy either and then got me linked up with Daniel. We get along great. She keeps her promises. She’s never missed or been late to an appointment. She is on her game when it comes to everything that I need. Right down to that problem I was telling I was talking about she was with me looking at the job. She was involved in getting a hold of corporate to let them know the problem. She was right by my side the entire time trying to get him rectified.

I liked the carpet that we picked out from Empire Today. It was below my price range and the cost and quality are very good compared to the other brands I checked out. I also like its color. I had it installed in the bedrooms and the family room of my home. Daniel, the installer, was very friendly but very professional. He was able to take care of everything and answered all of my questions. He was fantastic and he did a great job.

Empire's price was comparable to Lowe’s and Home Depot. The sales guy/estimator who came over was really knowledgeable. The installation experience was good except they forgot the transition. It was carpet bedrooms to hardwood floor in the hallway. It was frustrating when I had to call a few times and no one ever called me back. It took almost two months for someone to finally call me back and that person was calling to get final payment. It wasn’t even the schedule of finishing it, and I ended up going to Home Depot and buying them and having someone install them. I had to turn in my receipt to the girl who called and she credited that off the total. Empire handled the situation to my satisfaction in the end, but make sure when they come to install, go through the installer first to make sure everything is covered.

I decided to go with Empire Flooring. It was recommended to me by a friend. I went online and set up an appointment for estimate. The representative came out. Gave me an estimate. I put the down payment down. They returned on January 3rd to install my engineered hardwood floors. As the installation started I asked question about the trim. I was told that is how it is supposed to be installed. So when installation was completed I walked around for the final walk-through and voice my concerns about the trim. How was installed. Where was installed. I was told that it was supposed to be like that.

The trim in my bathroom was placed over my heating vent and I was told that it was supposed to be like that and I could not put my new heat vent on there, trim in front of bathtub, trim around bathroom cabinet, gapping at the door and on all the ends of the trim is crooked. I called and explained the situation and an appointment was set for the next week. Another installer came out looked at the trim and also removed some trim to see the size of the gap between the quarter trim and wall baseboard. He was supposed to contact customer service and set appointment to remove baseboard and move quarter trim back.

I then was called on that Saturday by customer service to cancel my next appointment on the following Monday. That they were cancelling my appointment for Monday and that he would talk to the inspector. Well I never heard from them so I called today January 27th and talk with another customer rep and they made me appointment for February 15th for the inspector to come out. I love my flooring. Just want my trim installed correctly.

Had a scheduled appointment for between 7 and 9 PM on Friday January 26th 2018. 7:30 rolls around. No salesperson. I called Empire and advised there was a scheduling conflict and there wasn't anyone available. No phone call to reschedule of cancel. Waited around on a Friday night for nothing. Then they had the balls to ask me to reschedule. I laughed and said why would I reschedule and get canceled again. No thank you. So as far as I'm concerned, Empire Carpet and the sales rep lost a big sale, as we were planning on installing hardwood flooring in every room of our house. I will go to a local business whom treats their customers with respect.

We have been listening to ads for Empire for years and decided we would like to get an estimate for hardwood flooring so we scheduled an appointment. We received reminder emails all week, on the day of the appoint we moved our schedules around to be here. We waited 2 hours before calling customer service about the no show, no call appointment. I've never been so disappointed. They did offer to re-schedule and give us 50.00 off our estimate. This whole experience has been very disappointing. What happened to good customer service?

Updated on [02/16/2018]: After my first review the problems continued. We waited for quarter round trim for over a week. We were told 3 different stories as to why they couldn’t complete the order. The last conversation we were told we would receive a free upgrade to a wall border for making us wait. When they finally arrived they brought the quaternary round trim we were to receive that they said they didn’t have all week! We should have received the wall border as promised! Again another excuse. We are still waiting to be compensated for 3 no show/no call installations.

Empire Today has a good reputation. I didn’t want any problems and I knew they could more likely get the job done. I had carpet but my grandchildren walk and they would spill a lot of stuff. The carpet was also over 10 years old so I just decided that wood would be better for my foyer and my TV room to keep clean than the carpet. When Empire said they were going to have it done, they did and they were on time. They sent out people who know what they were doing. The workers were friendly and they did a good job, even on cleaning up. I like the way the wooden floors look. They match the decor of my house. My grandkids are pretty rough plus it’s winter and the weather’s bad. My grandkids don’t always take their shoes off or wipe their feet and the floor is holding up well so far.

Empire Today installed laminate flooring in a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a dining and a bathroom on the main floor of my rental property. I had them install the same stuff a year ago and then we had water damage. And so, they came in and did it all over again. They charged me for it but the insurance paid for it. The process was very easy, and the people who came in to install it were very professional and they got it done quickly. I like that the new flooring cleans very easily.

I had a general contractor working on some other stuff in my house and I had Empire come in and do an estimate because we did the whole house. And so, I compared their cost with what my contractor had and my contractor told me to go with Empire because he didn't know if anybody else was going to be able to beat the price. I’m very happy with Empire. I would tell my friends to get the flooring from Empire. When we are ready to do it at our house, I’m going to use them, too.

I had Empire Today install carpets in my bedrooms and laminates in the den. They were very reasonable. I love my den because the laminates match perfectly with the paneling. When my friends came in, they loved my den too. Of course, the carpet is fine too since I’m just here by myself. I should have gotten a little bit darker carpet though because it’s so light that every footprint shows when you walk. But when my daughter came here last weekend and she saw it, she liked it. So, if she liked it, it’s okay. Our experience with Empire Today has been great. They have people who come out and show you the products so you don’t have the struggle of going around and looking for floorings.

Empire Today installed laminate floors, and it went very well. The tech was very polite and he cleaned up after. I had it done in the hallway and then I called back to have it done in my bedroom upstairs. I’ve been with them for years and I had them do my second home on my own and my first home they did work for me and I liked it. I just love that company. They are a very reputable company and I’ll stand behind their products.
