Empire did a great job installing my laminate flooring. Their rep was very knowledgeable about the product. She was very friendly. She wasn't pushy like a lot of salespeople are like. She showed me the product. She didn't push me to go with Empire right then and there and gave me time to look around. I appreciated her patience. The installation went fine, too. The installers were here early and they got the work done quickly. I've got a couple other estimates and Empire's price was better, especially for the quality of the flooring that was installed. Everything was excellent.

I've been a customer for near 20 years of Empire, and the times I've used them, it's always been timely, cost-efficient, and just good customer service and good product. I've never had an issue over the years with the company, which is why I continue to use them. Their pricing is good too. They're all good people, knowledgeable and honest. I'm pleased with everything they have done here and it was done when they said it was going to be.

The installers were very polite and nice. I like them. The only problem I had with Empire is the man came out and measured my house maybe a week before I was installed and the carpet is laid very nicely but I got enough carpet in my garage to cover another room. I don't know what happened with his measurements. He did my hall, my foyer and my den. The carpet looked good. The quality is good, too. It's good work but my problem is how did he get all this carpet left. I recommended Empire to one of my friends, and they put carpet over there. So, I wasn't that upset, but I was upset because I spent money that I didn't need to. But as far as their service and them being on time, that was good.
Dolores, we value your feedback and will be looking into your concerns. Thank you!

I was happy with Empire's price and their selection. I got what I needed and it was pretty painless. They ran late on the installation appointment but I work from home, so it wasn't a big deal. The installer helped me out because I was going to have a closet door track installed after he put in the carpet. Previously, they had cut the carpet, like an empty strip so I could put a piece of wood and the track in there. He said "Don't worry about that. I'm gonna put plenty of padding so you can put the track over top of the carpet." So, I took his word for it and it seems okay.
However, the track is almost too low so it doesn't catch the track on the top of the door. The installer was nice enough to cut a piece of the track to fit the bottom track. I would have preferred to keep the board and put that in and have a firmer base. I was hoping the installer would be able to do that for me but he didn't. But, he said the track would be fine without it. It's working for now. I would recommend family and friends to use Empire.

I used Empire once before about 10 years earlier. They seemed to do a fairly good job, so I figured I'd go on that experience. I had them replace a carpet in the living room this time. The experience was perfect. The only glitch was that they got delayed and they came later than I had hoped, but they still came the day they said they'd come. All in all, everything got done just fine. They did a very good job.

The sales rep of Empire was excellent. The installers on the other hand broke my picture frame. It was an old picture frame that said, “The greatest mom in the world.” Had my picture behind it when I was young and they broke it and hid it, instead of telling me they broke the glass. I called it in but I never got a response from it. But the quality of their work was excellent. I like the way the flooring looks and feels. I would recommend Empire to anybody.

Very Poor Customer Service and Absolutely No Value for their customers. I will Never use them again and will warn others. On Tuesday May 4th we were scheduled for a carpet installation. They were suppose to call early that morning and didn't. I had to call about 10:30 after they had not call to give me a window. Even then they said between 2 and 3. When the installers got here they didn't lay the carpet, they said they didn't have enough but someone would call us within 24 hrs to reschedule, but they didn't. We spent the next day for hours trying to connect with someone who could give us a resolve to No avail.
2 days later they call with another date of the 20th, after they put us in a Huge jam. Our daughter's college graduation party is this Sat and our furniture is all displaced due to the installation that Never happened. No Way to treat a customer. Empire do the right thing by people who choose your company to service them. These are basic principles... Deliver what you Promise!!!

The sales rep voluntarily said floating laminate flooring would NOT have a cheap hollow sound when walking on it. Exactly the opposite is true. I completely wasted my money and time. You won’t know it until an installation is done.

I told my in-laws to call Empire. I told them what to tell them. They were doing our hallway and some steps. I told them to get commercial carpet because it's a lower nap, there's no tripping, there's no knot and get a very low or no padding. They installed the carpet and it looks great. But my in-laws’ feet, when they wear socks or slippers, they noticed that their feet are getting stuck on the steps and my mother-in-law's feet are bleeding.
So probably they used tackless on the steps. Usually on steps, depending on the particular steps, may they be concrete or wood, you have an option of either glued down, stapled down or tackless. These guys chose the wrong one, they chose tackless. They didn't give them any options. I guess they were elderly. I got back from my business trip and I said I'd handle it. It took a week just to get through to them. The phone numbers never answered. There were no callbacks. There was just no customer service and they were passing the buck. We finally got the guy who runs the local installation office and he said, “We're just gonna come down and we're gonna hammer down the tackless.” If you knew anything about tackless, that’s just not how it works. It needs to be pulled up and it needs to be glued or stapled and installed properly.
A couple of days later, a guy showed up. The guy was walking in with a hammer. I said, “What's the hammer for?” It was hard to communicate with him. I said, “When you install a certain type of carpet, like the low nap carpet, like a commercial carpet, which is in a quarter inch, what are your options when you're doing steps?” He said they usually staple. I said, “Put your hand on the steps.” He put his hand on the steps. I said, “Push down really hard.” He actually pricked his finger, because it's on every step. Even when you walk up with sneakers or shoes, your feet get stuck.
I said to him, “How could you even leave? Did you not feel this? When you're on the steps, you're usually on your knees doing this. What did you do here?” He said, “I'm gonna go out and get my hammer and I'm gonna hammer the stuff down.” I said, “That's not how it's gonna work. You're gonna remove the stuff and you're gonna either glue it or staple it, preferably staple it because it'd be a lot easier for you.” He said, “No, I'm not doing that. I'll have the supervisor call you.”
We got a call back from, not a supervisor, not anybody, we got a call back from customer service saying, “Due to the circumstances we’re never coming back to your house.” And that was it. They said, “Sorry.” As far as I'm concerned, I am done with Empire. I'd highly recommend people never ever use these folks. They were the worst experience I've had on a carpet in my entire life.
John, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We've located your order and will be in touch with you soon to discuss your concerns.

Empire Today's rep was very knowledgeable and made me feel that he had my best interests at heart. I got a call the morning of the installation. The guys told me they went around and would be here in half an hour. They arrived within the half hour, introduced themselves, and we walked through. They looked at the job and told me what they would do and gave me some ideas about covering areas to keep the dust down. And one guy showed me the order of what I would get. Asked me if I had any questions, and then they began work. They told me the flooring would settle in a couple of days. They didn't say I can’t walk on it. They told me how to clean it. Gave me some items to clean it with. They also cleaned it for me.
I had hardwood floor installed in the kitchen, hallway, and the living room. The way the flooring looks is great. The entrance as soon as you walk in the house is the first thing you see, and it goes through the hallway in. It set the exact sample for the rest of the downstairs flooring. However, I have a concern around my island. As you walk, you hear the wood creaking. I thought I would give it a few days to see if it went away. I understand that no floor is level, and there are dips in that. But it's just that one area around the island. It's a little loud. I was charged for underlaying but they didn't do any of that so that money was refunded back to me. And had I needed it, I would have rather it been done. But everything else, the quality is there.

They took out the carpet and installed vinyl flooring in the backroom like a three-season room. Everything was fine with the installation. The only problem was the sales of Empire Today told me that they have in-house installers. But that was not true. They sublet them out. So I didn't like that. But that was about the end of it. Everything was fine with that. The salesman was fine. We went over a number of things and he brought in a number of samples too. It was good.

I liked the idea that Empire's reps came to your home and that way, you could talk. The girl who came out was also excellent. She showed us everything and was very thorough. She gave us all our options and we pretty much went mostly top of the line. For the installation, I've never had carpeting before and didn't know how difficult it was to get everything in place to deal with the day. It's a tough day because you're moving around and when the installers got here, they didn't have the right proportion of carpeting. We had one kind going downstairs and one kind going upstairs. They were similar-looking, but they were different carpeting. One was Empire's top of the line where the padding was included with the carpeting, then we were putting a different carpeting downstairs but the padding was separate. And they didn't have one of those but we ended up working out because they got it from somebody else.
We also had a mix-up with the installation because we were having one small section in our dining room done where there wasn’t going to be carpet. We were going to have them cut out that part because I made it so if people came in, they could take their shoes off. And that was supposed to be done first but the installer cancelled on us. They called me the day before the afternoon they were supposed to do it and said that the project that they were working on that day ran long, so they had to change our schedule. And they could change us a week later. So, it wasn't my fault they ran long and it wasn’t me that wasn’t there. But they were able to do it and we worked with the main carpeting first. But I was told initially that they had to do that first section first then they went and said that that was not necessary.
The crew that came did a really good job though. They were very pleasant and were hard workers. But none of them spoke in English. When we had an issue, it was hard for their leader to understand me and me to understand him. He tried really hard but Empire needs to have somebody who can communicate with their customer where there's no misunderstanding. Another problem was the girl who was a contact person for the installation. I had a couple questions and she didn't get back to me. Other than that, we’re very happy with the product.

Keep in mind I live in a townhouse that was just built in 2018 so... why he couldn't help still gets me but you just lost a customer for life because I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!

Empire had a wider selection of carpeting to choose from. Their pricing was higher than the competitor's, but they matched that price also. The rep was good when he was here. He was a little bit harder to get ahold of once he had made the sale, but aren't all salespeople? The quality of the installers' work seemed to be good. We had them come back out to do the tacking that they did at the edge of two different thresholds. We could actually feel the tacking through the carpet. But once they did that, it was fine.

I called four different people for new flooring and one didn’t show up from Home Depot. I also called Floors for Living and they came out. But Empire had the best price, so I went with them. They did really well and I would tell others to call, tell them to come out, and get a quote. They do an amazing job. I had the laminate flooring put in and it is beautiful. It is very good and I don't have to rag through. I can just run a wet mop to clean it. I had it out in my back bedroom. I have two sons that’s in wheelchairs, so I needed to get that carpet up. We had a pipe freeze and busted pipes back there, so we just did that part.

I had a prior experience with Empire Today when I looked at carpeting prices at my house before I moved, but it didn't work out because of the type of flooring we had. So I called Empire back when we moved because we needed all new flooring. Everything went really well and they were really helpful. The installers double checked everything, wore their face masks, and were very courteous of our time. They also called about a half an hour to an hour before they got here and when they came, they verified that the product was what we ordered. They were pretty much self-sufficient, just went in the room, did it and told us when they were done. The flooring looks great and we had no issues.

I loved my experience with Empire. It was wonderful. I'm enjoying my new carpet. It's so pretty. I thought the installer was going to come with the whole crew of people to help him. But he came by himself and I was like, "Who's gonna help you?" He was looking at me like I'm weird. He said, "No one." I said, "Really? You can do it by yourself? Okay, that's fine with me." and he went in there. Nobody heard him working. I almost forgot he was over in the other room because the door was pulled up. Then, I went over there and he was almost done. He wasn't even been here that long. He pulled that carpet out really fast. He did a tremendous job. He was finished really fast.

The salesman who came to my house was nice and he knew exactly what he was talking about. He took care of everything as well as made sure all the measurements were right. On the same week that he came out was the same week they came to install. I did two rooms. Unfortunately, the original flooring that I picked out for my living room wasn't available. My second choice ended up being the choice they put down. It’s the same model number, but the color was different. Still, it worked out overall.
I was also a little nervous at first because I noticed some little things. Once Empire Today completed the work though, it was perfect. I really liked the one in the basement. It stood out to me the most because of the details of what they did to it. They went beyond ‘cause they had to level it out. They did a good job with that in a timely manner. Also, we moved into the house the following week. When they took the carpet up, there was a gaping hole and they didn't have to put the baseboard that was left for us to put on. They put it on for us with no questions asked and made it look nice.

I liked the customer service from the Empire Today salesperson. She took her time. She wasn't trying to just sell me something. She offered positive feedback and she was a very nice lady. I love the finished floors. It was the laminated vinyl. I wanted something that was waterproof pretty much and that could withstand high traffic and would last me a while. The time frame they gave me was based on the time frame that I requested and it went off without a hitch. The gentleman did a superb job with my new flooring. It was very clean and neat.

It was a good thing that the installation of our vinyl flooring from Empire was done in one day. The installers came with masks on and we explained that we were both fully vaccinated. If they wanted to take their masks off, we felt that they would be safe. They were grateful for being given the chance to work without a mask. We like our flooring. It's definitely improved the value of the home. This kind of flooring is what everyone wants. They don't want carpet. They want the hardwood look.
About 10 days after the installation, the light fixture from the ceiling in the foyer area crashed and exploded onto the floor. After the cleanup that took quite a while, I had glass in the rooms beside it. There are scratches on a couple of pieces of the vinyl and Empire is coming on Friday to do a service call where they will replace the pieces that are scratched. That was relatively easy to set up and I'm really thankful that they are coming to fix that.

I got some pretty nice plush carpeting installed in our upstairs, four bedrooms, a hallway, and a stairway. The salesperson that came out first was awesome and very informative. The guys that installed it were very professional. They went over the same things again that the other guy had gone on just to make sure. They were really quick. I was surprised how quickly they were done. They were great. Whenever I walk on the carpet barefoot, it feels so good. I love it.
Trying to make the final payment over the phone was an absolute nightmare. The head of the installer crew was calling and they don't have a separate number that they can call just for that. So he was on hold for about 20 minutes before I finally said to let me try to call. So then, we were both holding, and I got through them before he did. But even when I got through, the rep still got enough information to where she still had to put me on hold till somebody else was available. When I got through, the whole thing took about 30 seconds. I had used my debit card for the downpayment, so they already had all my information on file. It was just basically needing a verbal authorization for the rest of the payment. In hindsight, I should have just given the guy a check. But nobody uses checks anymore. Empire Today should have a separate number for the crew that had just finished work and needed to call in and give the customer's payment.

The sales guy was a good salesman. He knew his product. He was very knowledgeable. I had some kind of squishy plush carpet installed in five bedrooms. The sales guy said that the install guys would call me a week before the installation. But they called a day before, and said they would be here sometime between 8:00 and 6:00 PM. The install guys called me about 10 AM and said they were on their way. They were here till 9:00 at night, and they still didn't do everything they were supposed to, not because they refused, but we finally just said that we would do it because it was 9:00 at night. Also, they only sent two people. The irritating part was if it was that big a job, the schedulers shouldn't have had them do another job before us.
We had two bedrooms that we had just painted and I kept telling the install guys, "These rooms just got painted, they were empty," but they still scuffed the wall. We didn't say anything to them because we didn't know till the day or two later when we started putting everything back. Also, they still didn't put all the furniture back like we were promised. They also need a new vacuum because they were not able to clean up. They had an old, rickety vacuum. We still have carpet shred everywhere. So my husband did most of the cleaning himself when he shouldn't have to. But they were very nice guys. One guy didn't speak English. But they still did a good job. Also, the carpet is nice and has a good color.

Horrible experience!! Scheduled an installation date for one week out on a Friday. Received confirmation call on Wednesday, two days prior to install, so far we’re thinking everything was fine. Rep said they’d call between 730-9am on the install date with exact time of arrival. Thursday night, the day before install, received a missed call/got a voicemail saying they have to reschedule. Called right back and they were already closed. Now Friday, install day, we’re beyond the 3 day cancellation period and already paid 25%. We didn’t get the service agreed upon and weren’t called 3 days prior with any explanation as to why they need to reschedule or why they aren’t providing the services paid and agreed upon. The day of install we didn’t get a call and nobody showed.
We called and were on hold for over an hour and then told a manager would call back. No one called and we called them again to figure out what was going on. Then the rep said the date would be moved yet another week out, but couldn’t confirm the original appointment. Each rep we spoke to never knew about the conversation we had with the rep before them. I was told I was upset and they couldn’t accommodate me, but I said I lacked trust with them and wanted them to hold up their end of the business agreement/transaction. We’ve already paid the 25% deposit so I wasn’t asking to be accommodated. I asked for services we paid for. I was inconvenienced of having to take a day off work.
The rep said things happen unfortunately and they do not pay lost wages or give discounts for inconvenience. I asked if someone would come out the following day, but was told they are booked and couldn’t cancel on other customers. They have horrible service. There’s no manager available to talk to and the rep said only the local office schedules installs and the local office doesn’t have anyone to talk to, but the manager would call. We’re still waiting on a call and are without any confirmation of an install date scheduled or status of our deposit. Once you sign the contract, you’ll be out of your deposit and no services provided. I do not recommend Empire!
Janell, we sincerely apologize for your experience and will be in touch with you soon.

I used Empire at my previous condo and thought they did such a good job that I wanted to call them back. The sales process was super easy and I'm glad Empire had some really great COVID protocols in place. When I first made my appointment, I was able to get it in two days but I waited a little longer to make sure that my husband was also available. And then, my daughter was quarantined from her class, so I called Empire and canceled the appointment because I wouldn't be able to get her out of quarantine by the time I was able to reschedule. Then, I scheduled again. It was very easy.
This time around, we chose a thicker carpet that was recommended because we have a pet. Our salesperson came with a mask and was very good with us at keeping distance in regards to COVID especially while I had my son in the room. We specifically asked him what we can do because our dog sometimes gets the spreading of the carpet up. He showed us one that was thicker and actually softer on my eyes that we could have the best experience with the dogs. He did the measurements and everything went very well. The installers did well with moving the furniture out of the way and then helped move them back. I've already recommended Empire to my parents, and they used them for their carpet.

So, that was good. With the carpet, they were only there for the one day. It was just two guys and they were pretty good.
The Empire rep, Danielle, was really good. She was very prompt at calling or texting me back. There was some confusion on installation like who was installing first. So, the carpet guys were there the first day, and they were supposed to be there the second day. There was about a week delay. So, communication with the subcontractors could be a little bit better. Everything looks great. The only thing is the self-leveling cement that Empire used. I now have more unevenness on my floors than I did before. It leveled it out where the dip was, but it didn't level the whole floor out. By the time we had gotten to walk around and feel everything out, it was too late to say anything. Another thing is when they installed the flooring upstairs, they knocked the nails through the roof on the back end. They said that all they could do was give me $200 and it's more than $200 worth of damage to the roof because we’re gonna have to get it all done. But when dealing with them, they’ve been courteous. A guy that did some home improvement stuff for us said that he could lay the flooring but it was taking a long time. Also, we would have had to have done some work ourselves and we've got bad backs. Empire was going to do it within two days and they were going to do it right away. The day that the installers were supposed to come out, we had a huge snowstorm. They rescheduled it for a Friday and they got it all done in one day. The flooring seems to hold up well so far. I didn't go with a real high price product but it's made my home look brand new.
When they first come out, it's a very pushy sales talk. They don’t come out to advise you or be your friend, they come out to sell you the product and they want to book you that day. But if others want to go with other companies and see what other kinds of companies cost, go see Empire first. Luckily, we did. We knew what Home Depot was gonna cost us and we also knew what our other guy was gonna cost us before Empire came along. They were able to beat them out.

I've used Empire before, and it was a decent sale. Recently, I had them install some carpet upstairs (the stairs, and the bedrooms, and hallway) and I was very pleased as well. The rep gave full details and was professional and then the installer did a good job. The installation was done before the time period they said and the quality is good, like walking barefooted.

The installers from Empire were very respectful as well as quick. They took all my furniture, moved them and put them back. They left the place clean too. When we bought our house, there was carpet and my husband took it out. The wood floor was a lot of work. After my husband passed away, I decided to put the carpet back in the hallway, the living room, and then the area where people come in from the door. It's easier for me with the carpet because I have a problem with my back, plus now I have a broken leg.

The sales rep seemed knowledgeable. He showed me all the samples and whenever I had a question, which he was not sure about, he would go to his supervisor. I even got a chance to talk to the supervisor on the phone and validated some information. I had the luxury vinyl flooring installed in the kitchen area, the dining area, the foyer, a bathroom, and office, so I had quite a bit done. There were five gentlemen who came out. There were still some finishing things which had to be done, but overall, they did it all within the day. Right now, everything’s good and I'm happy with it. I’ve got a lot of positive compliments on it.

I chose some of the things that I originally had suggested and the rep from Empire said, "That's nice but with the unevenness of your floor, it really won't conform. It won't look good." He directed me in a better way to go. We got a wood looking vinyl flooring. The people who came to install it were excellent. They were really quick. They had started halfway through the hall. They did not have the wood run running the way. I originally said that I wanted it. When I brought it to their attention, they said, "No problem." They've ripped it up and put it down correctly.

I had a fantastic experience when the sales rep came out to the house. It was pretty cut-and-dry, and didn't take up a lot of time, but definitely answered any questions I needed done. I was on a bit of a time crunch, and we were able to get everything finalized right then and there. Also, it was reasonably priced. Empire told me when the installation company would be calling. The installation company called me and let me know what time they were coming out, so I could be there or somebody over at age of 18. When they arrived, they asked to see the room, and I showed them the room and the areas. They assisted me with removing a dresser so they could get the carpet in. They did their job and they were there for a little bit. But it was a lot sooner than I expected it.
Before the installers left, they moved the dresser back in there, and then showed me everything they did, and asked me if I had any questions, which I didn't. All the seams looked perfectly intact. Nothing was popping out, including the little areas that met between the bathroom to the closet, and vice versa. Then I asked if they took the old carpet, and the installer said they took care of all that. So it was very straightforward and super simple. Customer service was about as fantastic as it can be since we didn't really go into great detail. My biggest concern was trying to figure out how I was going to move this old wet carpet and the fact that the installer offered to take it out was fantastic.

The workers that came in were fantastic. It cost me more, but I gave each one of them $20 both times. They were that good. However, I don’t want to deal with Empire anymore. To begin with, we had a quote, but we had problems with the stairs, so we switched it. When we switched it, it was over $2,000 cheaper for us. Empire owed us $2200 and they were supposed to pay us back. The rooms and the stairway were carpeting, but when they were going to do the wood floors on the main floor, I had to write another check for 19. They wanted their money before they even do any work. If you owe me 22, I shouldn’t have to write you a check for 19. Figure the difference. If they wrote me a check for $300, we were good, but they wouldn’t do it that way. It was a pain in the butt and it made no sense either.

So, he was letting me pick out what I want, which was fine. Then, when it came to the bathroom, I thought I wanted tile, but I ended up not getting it because I needed subfloor work and they said they don't do that. But I had no problem getting my deposit back. The installer did a good job. He went through and pulled up the floors. The men who came to do the installation finished earlier than they stated they will be able to finish. There were two of them, and they worked fast, especially on the carpet. I left not even an hour and it was finished.
My mom used Empire a few years ago for her flooring, and she referred me. He told me he would be back the very next day first thing in the morning to do the installation. He did not show up. I called customer service three different times and they say there’s nothing they can do about it. Or they tell me that the person that I need to speak with isn’t answering their phone and there’s nothing more they can do. I called my salesman. He said his manager would handle it and call me right back never received a call from that manager. We went to Home Depot, Lowe's and places like that, and we liked Empire's product better. We got the vinyl laminate flooring. The installation didn't go as I expected though. The crew came from Columbus, which is two hours away, so I understand them getting here at 10 o'clock in the morning. However, the installer had to leave and he was gone for almost an hour because he didn't have a certain tool that he needed. He had to run up to the hardware store, go buy one and then come back. That was an hour in delay. Also, the floor goes from the kitchen to the hallway to the bathroom. It's all one floor. There should have been more than just two guys here. Two more people would have worked great.
The crew was really nice and everything was clean, the way they left it, but they didn't leave here till almost 9 o'clock on a weeknight. We also moved everything back to where the things were. ‘Cause it was late at night, we couldn't just go ahead and get out of here. I wasn't pleased as well. They didn’t cut exactly the way it should have been. I have baseboard down, and you have to put three-quarter round baseboard around it to cover that up. If it wasn't for the three-quarter round baseboard, it would look like hell in certain spots.
Another thing is when the salesman came out, I already had a wood laminate on top of a vinyl floor on top of my sub floor. They were supposed to take up the wood laminate that was already down and if they needed to, they were going to take up the vinyl and get all the way down to the sub floor. They didn't have to because they could leave the vinyl floor under it, and that was fine. Put some floor leveler down in a couple of places and everything was okay. We were told by the salesman that if they did not have to go down to the sub floor, it would be $300 cheaper because they didn't have to rip the vinyl up.
When I saw the total bill, it included the $300. I called up the salesman and I said, “They didn't tear up the vinyl floor. The vinyl floor is still there.” He said, “Okay, I'll get back with you.” Four days later, I finally had to call him back because he never got back with me. He told me that the installer said that he pulled up the vinyl floor. I said, “The installer is incorrect. He's not telling you the truth. I still have the vinyl floor down. I know for a fact.” He then gave me a gentleman's name, his boss. I contacted him, and he asked me if I could give him a picture. I said, “How can I give you a picture? The floor’s laid.” He then asked me, “Is there a register somewhere in the room?” I told him there is.
In the kitchen, I pulled out the register, gently lifted up the new floor a little and took a picture of it. It showed the vinyl flooring was still there. He said, “Okay, that's what I needed. I'm going on vacation, and I'll put word through to deduct that $300 off. I'll be gone for another week or so.” Once he emailed me, I told him, “Well, can you do me a favor and follow up when you get back from vacation?” I haven't heard anything. I'm assuming the $300 was taken off, but I'll have to look at my next bill.

We are selling our home and two days before our showings were to start, one of our dogs tore up the carpet in a bedroom. After local companies were booking about two months out, we called to schedule an appointment with Empire to quote an install and thankfully, they could get us in that next day for a quote. The sales rep called us the day of the quote and said someone called in sick so he was double booked and asked if he could come another day, otherwise he wouldn't get there until 7 pm. Given the nature of the situation, we wanted to get something set-up ASAP and asked him to please honor our appointment and come that day, even if at 7 pm. He did arrive late that Friday evening. The appointment was very quick, almost rushed. We informed him we were selling and weren't looking to spend a lot, but something similar to what was already in the bedroom since listing pictures had already been taken.
He brought us out a sample of their lowest and next upgrade carpeting in those color tones. We went with the lowest grade, noting the color matched well but still didn't feel like cheap carpet in the sample. He also said we could ask the crew to stretch out our living room carpet since they would be working right in that area anyway - a perfect bonus! However, they couldn't get install until the following Thursday - but at least we could inform potential buyers the replacement was scheduled. He then left, but not before reminding us we would be getting a survey and 8's are no good. He doesn't get anything unless they are 9's or 10's. He told us this the last time he met with us for a prior year install too.
The day of the install, the crew arrived and did stretch our living room carpet for us - doing a great job with that! However, the bedroom carpet install itself left little to be desired. The following issues occurred:1) The carpet itself was incredibly short (aka "low-pile"). It was nothing like the sample we saw - which you could run your fingers through. The installed carpet was so short it barely moved (almost like office-grade carpet). What's even worse, it left a gap between the carpet and trim it is so short.
2) The tack strips are exposed along the edge. My husband went to go plug something in on a surge protector and actually bled from grazing the tack strip along the wall.
3) The closet door was not secured back on, it was simply set in place. My husband went to go open it and it fell onto him.
4) After getting our detailed bill, I noticed it appeared we were charged for them moving items (we had everything out of the room ourselves) and there weren't discounts previously discussed when they had installed our upstairs carpet. We had the same sales rep at that time and I recall him saying if they came back, there was some type of discount, but couldn't remember what it was about (Later on, I recall this being a quantity discount - if we bought the same carpet, the more we buy, it gets discounted).
Given the amount of issues above, I contacted customer service and a ticket was put in. Days later I was contacted by a local scheduler who said he could have the crew come back and put on the door - which we had already done since our house was being inspected by a Home Inspector that day. He then said as far as the pricing and quality of the carpet, that would have to be discussed with the sales rep Neil, which he would have him call me. Neil did call - and I'm not sure why he bothered. He was incredibly defensive and rude, even telling me he was in the middle of the airport in Nashville right now (keep in mind, he called me). He said he NEVER talks about discounts with people and he has family in the military and doesn't even offer them discounts. He always gives people the rock bottom price. And as for the carpet quality, quote "it is what it is. You chose the lower quality which is low pile".
I tried to reason with him, stating the color matched, but the quality was nothing like the sample he provided and he did mention a discount the last time he was here. This was just met with more defensiveness and feeling like a was just a burden to him, so I decided to let him know I could see I was catching him at a bad time and thanked him for his time. He said "Okay goodbye". This is certainly not someone I would have purchased something from had I seen this side when he came to our home to give us a quote! Almost $900 for a 10x15 bedroom with substandard install and carpet quality, met with an attitude from the salesman?! I will never use their service again and will certainly not recommend them to others as I had been after our first install (despite finding staples left behind - including one that had fallen into our dog's food dish)!

My friend had her family room done by Empire and she suggested them to me. The gentleman that came in was very good about explaining what was available and what they did and exactly what they were going to do, and how they were going to take care of everything. I was satisfied with what he said they were going to do. It sounded like they had plenty of experience at doing this job and guaranteed that, "We'll continue to come back if there's any problems."
They were good at coming back the first time around and they took care of some flaws, but they're not finished yet. I had to call them again. They did something improperly because I couldn't get the patio door open. On top of that, they dented my metal door. Instead of opening the door to use the nail gun, they just put it against the door and it put dents and took some of the paint off the bottom of the door. I could tell the installer knew what he was doing. However, how can he leave dents and think that a homeowner would be happy with that situation? It was nothing major, but for the money we put into it, I don't want damage done to the house while I'm having something new put in there. I want it to look nice.
Overall, Empire did a good job and it's beautiful. In some instances though, it should have been a little more professionally done. I asked the installer to put trim in the laundry room before he put the quarter inch in. He worked nice, and then he showed me. Because he didn't have enough trim, he just put the quarter round on top of the rubberized stuff that they put usually in the laundry room over a flooring. Why didn't he say something instead of doing that? On another spot, he knocked off a piece of wood and he didn't say anything. It was very obvious to me. He goes, "Well, I was doing this, and then it fell off." “Okay, what are you gonna do about it?"
Luckily, I found a piece of wood, then I found some wood glue, and that's okay. Also, the gentleman that was working with the installer, his helper, didn't speak any English at all. The installer was trying to guide him and he was the one that made some of the mistakes. I expected that if Empire was going to have installers, they were going to be experienced and I won't have a huge problem pop up.

So we scheduled again, took time off of work, they called to confirm the appointment, and then this morning when they are due to show up they leave a message that they are again out of product and need to reschedule again! I asked to see a breakdown of the prices - salesman said the installers would go over numbers with me. I asked what the cost was per sq ft and he said he was just a salesman and did not know but a manager would call me.
On Monday someone from Empire called and said they were coming on Tuesday to install the wrong flooring and hundreds of boxes of flooring had been ordered. I told her I had not agreed to that color and was still waiting on a breakdown of the numbers. Then a manager called and he still could not give me a breakdown of the numbers. He claimed that each room was $1194 and the $50 per room was a gimmick. When I said I was quoted $21 thousand dollars for LVP and asked for a breakdown of the numbers he said he would get back to me.
On Wednesday I had to call him because I thought my install was Thursday which is what my salesman Truby had told me. Needless to say, the manager still would not give me numbers at all, said I was not getting flooring from Empire and that my salesman had messed up my credit application. I wasn't financing flooring - I was using tax return money to pay for flooring!
I just wanted a breakdown of the numbers showing how they arrived at $21000 for LVP!!!! These people are liars and crooks! They throw out a huge number, can't justify it and then run when they can't explain to you that they are simply just trying to rip you off. I read over a dozen complaints just like mine. Worst possible experience. They made an installation date and no one called or showed up. We called them and they stated we should hear back by 11AM the next day on what happened. No one called and we called them again to figure out what was going on. Each Customer Service rep we spoke to never knew about the conversation we had with the rep before them. We were told we could get $100 (supposedly this is normally $50) for a missed installation due to the inconvenience of having to take a day off work and moving things in the house for a no-show and no communication. Then the new installation date came a week later and again no calls, and when we called, there was no record of our new installation date in the system and no reference of a discount. They wanted to set up installation for a week later... again. At this point we asked for the order to be cancelled.
This was a major inconvenience as time off was taken and we were told to move large items so that installation could take place; for the better part of a week we slept on the floor. Each Customer Support rep stated they were making reference #'s and notes in the system, but each new rep we spoke to saw no record of any of the conversations. We have filed a case with the BBB and I will be posting this experience in every venue available to me from Next Door, Yelp, Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc. I will be making sure the word goes out on this unacceptable lack of professional behavior.
Stay far away from this company, you will regret working with them and the experience will leave you feeling blatantly abused. Empire caused significant emotional distress - if you can understand the need to take precious time off and displacing your home and your family and be left waiting with no communication from a company you are waiting on coming to your home to perform a service. They give you a window of 8AM to 6PM and basically refuse to have a conversation or perform any troubleshooting until after the window has lapsed. They never had a manager available and never knew why the installers were not contacting us. This company has no regards for their customers. This is the best example of Corporate gaslighting of a customer base.

The salesman keeps telling me there’s a new manager and he will call me in 24 hours. I keep calling back and no manager has called me. They will not call me back to schedule to repair the errors.

We've been using Empire Today for years and they recently did carpeting on the stairs. The rep was helpful. She had lots of things to show us in our home, and we were able to find exactly what we wanted. The installation team was very efficient and friendly. They worked hard and got out of there as fast as they could. The carpet was a moderately priced product and we'll have to see over time how well it wears but right now, it looks good.

Empire responded back quickly and they had better deals. I had them install the carpets in three bedrooms and a hallway. The product was pretty good. But the contractors could be a little bit better. First of all, I had a guy bleed glue all through the carpet. Then after he did that, my wife looked outside, getting ready to go outside, and he was at the end of my driveway taking a leak. I called it to report it. He sat there like that is where he's supposed to be and that is what he's supposed to be doing. It could be straightened out a little, fixing the small errors, that’s easy. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend the quality to a friend.

Empire Today came out and gave us our options. We picked the color and the fabric and scheduled the installation. The wife and I had ended up getting covid so we had to reschedule and that was simple. They did the installation for a 30x32 room in a day. That was a good job. The guys that did the work were polite. They worked hard. I was surprised because most carpeting comes in a 15-foot wide length, and they only had a 12. They had to have a whole other seam in the whole length of the room which concerned me. I hope it stays nice.

Don't order from this company. I had them come out to my house and give me an estimate, paid a deposit and scheduled an installation date three weeks after my order. I was going to pay over $3,000 for three bedrooms to have high quality carpet installed in three bedrooms. On Friday I called to try and get an estimated time and I did not get any response. (Their phones were not working. It answered then hung up).
On Saturday morning I called the office again, phones still not working, emailed the installer that confirmed the appointment on Tuesday and sent a text to the sales rep I had met at my house for the initial estimate and sale. The Sales Rep William said he does not work with installers and the Installation manager Steven ** emailed and said his truck was missing my order and another person's order so he might get on next Tuesday, maybe. He would not provide me with a confirming date for the installation, since they had forgotten to even order my carpet.
I had already taken a day off of work and moved all of my family's stuff out of my three bedrooms into the living room Then I got to spend the weekend day moving everything back after they no-showed. After multiple calls and emails with the company to cancel my order and get my money back, they offered me $50 discount and told me I could get the carpet installed sometime at the end of April because they are busy right now. They also said they were really sorry but they don't know why they didn't bother to order my carpet. If you are looking for professional service and a confirmed scheduled install date, don't contact Empire. The sales people do not work with or communicate in any way with the installers and the installers have really bad communications if they respond at all. Most of the time the phones are off. I am going to try RC Willey.

"Wrong color". The pieces were rescheduled for 2/24, " wrong color". Rescheduled 3/18, waited and called every 1- 2 hours to learn at 5:30 pm, the installer stated he was not assigned to the job. Rescheduled for 3/20. Called the call center every 1-2 hours. The supervisor of the call center sent an email to the installers to escalate the concern. The installer was a no call no show. I was advised to call the installer and customer service department on Monday, no answers. Messages left on the voicemail. No call back. Sent an email to the Customer Service, with an "out of office" response. No responses from the installation department or the customer service department.
I have asked for the General Manager at the call center, they could not provide me with the information. I have held up my end of the contract, Empire today has not fulfilled their contractual agreement. The job will take 20 minutes so I am told. The lack of concern of this poor service is very disappointing. I have no faith or confidence in Empire flooring, and will not recommend them in the future.

Empire came out and sold us Luxury Vinyl Planks for our entryway, kitchen and laundry room as well as carpeting for our dining room, living room, den, stairs and upstairs hallway. Then when they came out the installers said the kitchen is not level enough for Luxury Vinyl Planks so they left. The saleswoman came back out and started going over options before stating the Vinyl sheets would cost MORE than the LVP.
A simple Google search shows that LVP is more expensive than sheet vinyl (by a decent margin) and even Empire's website indicates sheet vinyl as the 'budget' option. The fact they didn't consider or even mention issues with required leveling in an older home and then tried to push a lesser product for more money after wasting our time is unforgivable so I advised the salesperson we would like the entire thing cancelled. Further I expect them to cancel the credit card they opened in our name and to remove any credit inquiry from our history. Very poor business practices and truly a bait and switch tactic to try and get higher margins on a lesser product. Won't ever do business with Empire again, can't be trusted.

But then the price was good and the installers were very professional. The quality was okay too.

Purchased carpet for 3 rooms and put half down, not once was I told I had to pay the other half before they would install carpets. The two person who came out to install it did not know very much english. I asked the one person about them moving furniture since I paid extra for it, he refused to do so and again asked for the rest of the money before installing. The installers was not from Empire at all. I called customer service to cancel the install, I was told that they was going to keep half of what I put down. RIP OFF. They broke the contract when their contractors refused to move furniture. DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL, BIG TIME RIP OFF.

I selected Empire today for my flooring needs as I thought they were a well respected company. Unfortunately, my experience with them was not good. I was scheduled to have flooring done two days after the consultant came to my home. The day of the installation, I called to find out when I should expect the installer. At that time I was told that the installation date had been changed as the flooring was not in stock. They had not bothered to tell me this until I called them. I lost a day of work for nothing.
I decided to cancel the order as I had lost confidence in the company. They should have communicated with me instead of just changing my installation date. The manager offered to discount $100 but I told him that I could not trust the company any longer and I wanted to cancel the order and the financing. He then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay a restocking fee. When I tried to discuss this with him, he hung up on me. I have tried calling back a few times but each time I am place on hold and no one comes to the line. I would like confirmation that the order was cancelled. I also had to reach out to the financing company to make sure the account was closed as Empire Today did not let them know that I had cancelled the order. The team that I dealt with is not very trustworthy. Due to this experience I would never recommend doing business with this company.

The gentleman from Empire Today was professional. He had a lot of a variety of colors. I wanted something a little tighter to the floor and the only thing he had in that category was the most expensive one. On the installation day, the installers came. They had everything they needed. We spoke about the pattern that we wanted to put down and which rooms we wanted to put down first. They began to work and didn't stop until they were finished. It all went down the same day. We were already warned in advance that it wouldn't be the cleanest project but the two guys at the initial four rooms were professional. The carpet is much better than the old one. Empire was quick and I would mention them to other people.

Recently I had Empire install wood floors and carpet. I thought they could do things quickly but that got messed up. The rep matched up the colors then he said that it was their biggest, was it pricey, and that they could start on Saturday, so I was like, "Okay." They came on that day and did the floors. I thought they would do both and then he said no. I asked when is the next one. I called back and he said I was scheduled for Thursday. I said I never scheduled anything on that day 'cause I'm working so I had to get that rescheduled for the following week to get that done on a Saturday. That was the part I had a problem with.
Then there was something about the wood floors. It seems like it's uneven. When I walk on it, it's like creaking and I can feel the dipping in some spots. I also didn't notice that they didn't do all the trim the first time. But then they came back and completed it. This is the second time I've had Empire. About 8, 10 years ago, they did the carpet and that was the one they pulled up to put the wood floors in. They were very good, too, then.

The initial experience with the salesman was great. He seemed knowledgeable and professional. We explained our needs, including a sub-floor repair need in one room. The salesman indicated that the installers should be able to take care of it, but there would be an additional charge at the time of installation. He was not just an Empire salesman, as he informed us that he also had a construction company that he sold for. The salesman inspected the flooring damage and represented himself as an authority in what his installers could/would be able to do. He also talked about the quality contractors Empire uses for installation. We purchased carpet for 4 rooms and laminate wood flooring for the stairs and landing. Installation was scheduled for two weeks later.
In the days prior to installation, we prepped the rooms, moving 4 rooms of belongings, small furniture items and home gym equipment to other areas in our home. We were set, took installation day off from work, excited to finally replace 28 year old carpet. Installation day finally arrived Today. A call was received from the first crew of carpet installers, they were on the way. Upon arriving, they were shown the rooms and the sub-floor area needing repair. After apparent confusion and language barriers, we were finally understanding they were not aware of the flooring repair issue, were not prepared nor knew they had been contracted to repair it. Only stating "they don`t do".
We then called the salesman, who started back-peddling. He stated he would call the installation manager and get back to us. In the meantime, the installers were re-measuring the rooms to be carpeted and informed us they did not have enough carpet for the job. So, back to the phone with the salesman we go. The return call to the salesman produced the suggestion from him to just go-ahead with three rooms and get a reimbursement for the floor issue room. Completely unacceptable. He then said he would get back to us with a solution. We had the installers hold off, until we had a resolution from the salesman.
The installers went to their vehicle, apparently called their boss, then came back to the door saying they were leaving and we should call customer service. We then did call customer service. We were told we had to file a Service Request and someone would be back to us in 24 hours. Again, completely unacceptable regarding response, return call timing and sense of urgency considering the installation was today, but we did proceed with filing the Service Request process.
About 30 minutes later, the laminate installer for the stairs arrived. He looked at the stairs and hesitated, then began explaining about having to re-cut the stairs pieces and trying to wedge pieces in and try to make it work...and it should be OK, just not quite flush but the molding should cover it. The hesitancy and "shoulds" and "try" did not instill us with any confidence, especially considering what we had already been through in the last hour.
At that point, the salesman called back apologizing and stepping up to take responsibility for the inability for repair, which was nice, but didn't resolve our problem. He again suggested going ahead with the stairs/landing and 3 rooms. Being extremely frustrated with the over-promise/under-deliver, concerns over installer skill/quality and seemingly lack of a 'make it right' mentality of Empire overall, we canceled the entire installation and order. We had paid in full at purchase and when we inquired about getting the project refunded, were told it would take 7-10 days to process a credit refund back to our card. Again, unacceptable response.
This all could have been avoided with upfront sales, stating they can't repair the sub-floor at the time of consultation, rather than just going for the sale with an unfulfillable promise (as we could have had the floor repaired in the two weeks between contract and installation), shipping proper (even slight overage) quantity of product for the size of the job and having competent installation personnel.

We used Empire approximately a year earlier for some flooring in a different area of the house. When we used them again, they were easy-going. We got a mid-grade laminate. It's fine for what we need it. But they subcontract out their flooring and the communication between the agreement on what's going to be performed from Empire on paper versus what's given to the contractor doesn’t get passed along. So that contractor is skeptical on what’s included. Overall, Empire is fine but they need to pass on what the agreement is to the contractor, so that way they wouldn't have that problem.

Scheduling the salesperson to come out was easy. It was through their online service. He came out and then took measurements and gave me a quote. The only thing that sucked about that was he said, “This price is only good for today.” They put me on the spot. I said, “I'm not giving you an answer today.” A couple of days later, I called him and said that we did want to go with it but he still held the price for me. Then when the installer came out, he didn't have enough carpet. Empire should check on their installers on jobs and not have people come back that aren't good. There are also stains on the carpet that I don't think should be showing.

But when we talked about the floor, I mentioned to him that I wanted the floor glued down. Then, I don't know if there was just miscommunication between him and myself, but when the installers came to put the floor in, they said they came to install a floating floor. One of them called in to their boss, then they had to get in contact with the sales rep. It all worked out, but I ended up paying an additional $300 and some for the floor to be glued down. And before we got that all settled, it was about an hour and a half to two hours before the installers could even start doing the work because they had to get this issue resolved. Other than that, the work was done professionally and I'm really satisfied with the floor.

This has been the absolute worst experience! We ordered both carpet and vinyl plank flooring. At the start, the sales guy had issues entering the sale cost and financing of our order and said he would adjust it later. He did not. On the days of install (separate for both carpet and plank) I made the requested payments before the installation and was told it was paid in full. But then, 2 months after the job was done (more on that later) they are harassing me and telling me that I owe $2278.69 MORE. When I explained why that is not the case, I then receive a letter, now 3 months after install, telling me that now I owe $2841.87...so an additional $563.18 than they claimed I owed previously. Fast forward several more weeks...they are asking for a new amount. It's very clear that this company has zero competence when it comes to sales, accounting and customer service. The amount of calls and emails I have received regarding this is absolutely over the top. I owe this company nothing more.
Now for the quality of the work. When the original flooring was removed a saw was used, but nothing around the area where the sawing was occurring was protected. I have air vents absolutely full of sawdust, I had to replace an upholstered chair that was ruined on one side due to them sawing directly next to it as well. Further, once the floor was laid, they threw away my original trim and installed trim that doesn't match and was not cut to fit at all. In addition, I have several spots where they didn't place the trim or return the base board, leaving just a bare wall space. They also cracked an expensive dresser and broke a ceiling light moving bedroom furniture. Last, the plank flooring bounces up and down in several places when walked across.
No one from the company ever contacted me to ask how the job went or if we were satisfied and we absolutely didn't reach out to them as we did not want them back in our home to make further mess or ruin anything else as its clear that they have no idea what they are doing. We are so very disappointed with the job this company did and even more so for the apparent "shake down" for more money. Avoid them if you can!

If I could give zero stars I would. We signed a contract because they said they could install the LVP on Wednesday 3/10. Then the sales person called to set it up after I paid the deposit (which by the way they charged more than they should have, more than the contract called for) and nope, can't do Wednesday, it will have to be Thursday. Ok, inconvenient because I work from home and the 1st room done was to be my office which we had emptied out. BTW they tell you arrival will be between 8am and 6 pm, that is all they can do. So Thursday at 1230 I finally get to speak to someone AFTER waiting 54 minutes on hold and nope, the crew didn't show up so it will have to be Friday 3/12. They said call after 1030 if the crew has not shown up by then and they can give you a better estimate of arrival.
So after waiting a total of 2 hours and 5 minutes on hold, nope not on the schedule for today. I say, "Why didn't some one call me?? This is crazy! Are you coming tomorrow," "No. Can't come tomorrow. Maybe Monday." I ask for a supervisor, I'm told, "I am the manager." I ask, "So you don't have a boss? That is who I want to speak to," "Nope. Not available," "Ok have them call me," nothing but crickets, no call back, no reply to any of the voice messages I left nor any response to my emails to them. You cannot call anyone directly except your sales person who can only tell you she is sorry for the inconvenience! When you call the customer service or install department be prepared to wait. I have been 54th, 78th, 125th and 147th in line for a call back or to speak to someone! Absolutely horrible service!!
So today, Monday we get a call that the carpet isn't in the warehouse yet so they can't install it today it will have to be tomorrow. Back on the phone trying to reach someone to help us straighten this out. Finally get a call and as soon as we answer they hang up. Call right back, back to the end of the line, 3 times this happened in one day. So finally get to talk to someone and explain that they need to install the LVP tomorrow, not the carpet. Nope, can't do that. Next available is 3/24 TWO full weeks after they promised it would be installed AND this is not for certain, might not happen in the 24th.
I have NEVER had to deal with such dishonesty and incompetence. I am just trying to save someone else the frustration and disappointment we have had in dealing with Empire. BEWARE, no local #, no local office, the sales people will NOT help you, say they "can't" that they will get in trouble for giving you names or numbers of the managers. We never thought they could possibly be this bad, we were WRONG! ZERO stars would be too many for Empire!

The first time out, the sales rep was easy. He showed me all the floors and explained everything to me. It was a 0% financing for the year. I got something in the mail that said the 50-50-50 or 75%. I called the company and they told me I had to call my sales rep. I asked him which was a little uncomfortable because the company sent me something then they told me to go ask somebody else. But he said he was using the best deal for me.
When the installers came, they took a few hours to do my daughter's room. About a year later, I decided to do my bedroom. Because I had the credit and made some payments, I had some money balance leftover. I refinanced my floor and they did it in two, three hours. I'm pretty happy with the floors. I would love to do my downstairs or my carpet, but I have to wait till I pay off some of the credit.
I was a little disappointed when my sister got her whole downstairs flooring and they said I wasn't eligible for the referral fee. She had my sales rep. Two years ago we called Empire, based on their reputation, to install carpet in our living room and hallway, large downstairs family room and vinyl flooring in our foyer. Very nice man came out the day after we called and spent a lot of time with us picking out our carpet. We chose a medium pile carpet, high quality for living room, and a VERY high quality Berber carpet for our family room and a beautiful vinyl tile for the foyer. The foyer tile was installed first and it was and is beautiful. The installers did a wonderful job! Then they came to install the living room. Again they did a fine job. Last came the Berber in the family room. It had to be seamed and the seam is in a high traffic area which we were not happy with.
Fast forward one year. Living room carpet has worn pretty well but now looks like a carpet you'd see in a model home. Some stains come out but not without vigorous scrubbing. We were told it was pretty much stain free and the coating it had would keep liquids from seeping through to the very expensive pad. NOT TRUE! The berber carpet looks about 10 years old, in fact my daughter's berber, which is 15+ years old looks much better and it's had spaghetti spilled on it, dog and kids poop and pee on it, has been professionally cleaned a vast number of times and still looks great. Mine on the other hand has pulls in the loops (which we were told it wouldn't do) and the seam line is virtually falling apart! Even in places that have NO traffic, such as behind a chair!
I called Empire and talked to a VERY rude lady and told her our problem and just asked for someone to come out and look at it. She refused saying we had to have the carpet cleaned first!! I told her that cleaning it would just pull more loops and she nastily insisted we have it professionally cleaned, at OUR expense before they would even consider sending someone to just LOOK at it! I don't even vacuum it if not absolutely necessary as I'm afraid it will pull all the loops up! We paid $8000 for the carpet and tile and still OWE $5000! I will NEVER use Empire again as they refuse to stand behind their faulty product and won't even give us the courtesy of sending someone to look at it. I would highly advise anyone who is considering Empire to go look somewhere else. This may be an isolated incident, I don't know but I am absolutely furious and will report them to anyplace I can find to report how they treat their customers and install faulty products.

I was told I missed the canceling window by one day and that they would be keeping my deposit of $900 I could use as a credit later for any of the other services. This is a new home and I don’t need anything else so. When I explain this to them I was told, "Too bad. Missed the cancellation by one day." Two young children around ages 11 and 13 a gentleman and his petite wife. The gentleman knocked on my door and said he was here to install carpet requesting remaining balance from my husband. Once he paid the gentleman walked outside and came back with his family.
I pulled in the driveway to see young children cutting what was to be my padding for my carpet in the RAIN. I quickly told them we would not be installing carpet today. One it is raining now and you are not about to ruin my new carpet in the rain and two there are child labor laws. I asked this family to leave my home. I then proceeded to call customer service to request a refund because this type of installation was not what I signed up for number one and number two there is a pandemic out here and kids are the worst at washing their hands.
I feel Empire put my whole family at risk. Thank you empire!!! I was informed it’s out of my 3 day cancellation window and they will not refund me. I will take this to the news to court whatever I must do get the money empire has Robbed me from. I can’t help it’s out of a 3 day window when I signed a contract in January and you didn’t have a opening until March to install and even so I did not sign approval for illegal work to be done. However, there was not a guarantee that it included everything that Empire's price included. So I felt comfortable with going with the Empire. There was a lot of heartburn that happened throughout the process. When the installers got there, they pulled up the floor, just to realize that we did not upfront check the product that we had ordered, which was the wrong product. So it took about a week or so to get the product in and that was a little bit of an unexpected stress. But Empire made sure to really prioritize the situation and get it done, and it turned out well.

I had Empire do 4 areas of carpet in my home in 2018 in 2020 I realized that the rug was buckling in 3 out of 4 rooms/areas. When I called up they informed me that I would have to pay $100 per room to have it fixed. I was extremely upset because when Terry ** from NJ was at our home selling the product he assured us that these rugs were completely warranted. A few weeks later I decided to call Terry. Personally he said that it didn’t sound right. He would try to resolve it and get back to me in no more than 4 days. It’s been way over that & He still has not had the decency to call me back.

Empire Today gave me such a hassle at the beginning. When the salesman was here, I just talked to him and he agreed with everything I said. But when it came time to it, it was like they didn't even pay any attention to what I said. So I told him that he wouldn't listen to me and that they were not worth my money and then I asked to cancel the whole thing. Right after I told him to cancel it, the installer showed up and the installer said that he could get this done for me and it'd be great. He was the perfect installer I ever met in my entire life, so I decided to go for it. I've had the wood planks installed in the living room. It’s beautiful. He was here at 11:00 or so and he left at 6:00. He did a fantastic job. Once the installation was completed, I was better.

I had one little hiccup where Empire Today told me the carpet was supposed to come in and it didn’t. But it came in a couple of days later. The price was unbelievable. I compare prices with Avalon Flooring, and it was almost half the price. The guys came in and they were so professional. They had the carpet installed on my stairs. They had to cut it to fit the stairs. And it was a pattern, so it wasn’t easy. They did it in under three hours. They cleaned up everything. They vacuumed. You wouldn’t even know they were there.

Empire Today installed the carpeting and flooring. I disconnected my washer and dryer for the contract and the installers connected the washer and dryer back. But the water drainage was not properly put. So now, there was another flood after all that new carpeting had been put in. I'm having a problem with Empire because they want me to file a new claim stating that it was my fault. But during the installation, I was not downstairs or in the area to see everything that was going on until it was completed and asked to sign papers. I've been a great customer with Empire Today and I've also referred them to different clients that I have. But I'm very disappointed going through this type of action by not correcting the problem.

They had the exact same carpet and it was quite a bit less money, so we went with them. But we had picked out the carpet beforehand. I was trying to buy something in my area then I saw the specials on Facebook of Empire, and I asked a few people. They said that they were really good and recommended them. They sent somebody out for a free quote and the gentleman was so nice, informative, and helped me decide. I'm a big fan of customer service, so he sealed the deal. We had wood floors installed in the living room in the hallway. It makes my room look bigger and I love the color and the floor. It's awesome. I just have one little complaint, they put tape on the border that divides the rooms saying, "Do not step on", and they tell us to leave it on for three days. But I left it on longer and we just recently pulled it off and one of those little walkways had a little hole in it. I never knew how to fix that. But other than that, I'm very satisfied.

I had some carpets installed in almost the whole house. It's about 3,000 square feet. Aside from Empire, I got a couple of other quotes. I ended with Empire because they had a really good 50/50 deal. The salesman, John, came out and he was awesome. He really sold us on it. The carpet is supposed to be really good and it was about the same as one of the quotes I got that was a medium-grade carpet. John was pretty sweet and he made a whole diagram of our house.
The installation was a mania but the crew did awesomely. They were supposed to do it over three days but they got it done in two. They stayed 11 hours on the first day and another 10 on the second day to get the job done. I really like the carpets. My only complaint would be there are a couple of spots you step on and it feels harder. We're giving that some time before we bring it to somebody's attention. Overall, my experience was pretty smooth sailing and easy.

The installation was gonna be too long with other companies and we were impressed with the presentation from the Empire Today rep, so we decided to go with Empire. We had them install the carpet in my basement but the experience wasn't a very good one. The first day they were supposed to install it, nobody showed up. We called them and they said I never answered the email or their text. I never got an email or a text. So, they rescheduled it for the next day.
One guy showed up and he said that he didn't have enough carpet and he couldn't move all the stuff by himself. So after that, the next guy came back and he measured and realized they needed more carpet. They then reschedule me for that Saturday. That Saturday, they came in and installed it. The work done was very good. I like the look and the way the carpet feels when walking on it. I'd tell my friends and family about my experience with Empire. But I would also tell them that when they actually came and did the work, they did a very good job.

I was replacing all the carpet in three rooms that had the original carpet in the house. It was old and it has been there for a long time. I just decided to get it done. I Googled flooring and saw Empire Today had a 50/50/50 sale. The salesman was good. He explained everything. I got the feeling at first that because the pricing didn't reflect the 50% savings on the material, the installation, but then towards the end, he showed me the original prices and then the 50% discount. I felt more comfortable once I saw that. And then, the installer was fantastic. It was a one-man operation and he did it all in one day. I couldn't even believe he got it all done. He was very courteous, meticulous, and professional, and a very hard worker. I was happy that one guy was able to do all that work instead of me watching two or three guys around all my stuff.
The salesman showed me three different types and price ranges. I picked the middle rug and I was happy with it. It must have been the cheapest stuff you could buy that was in there before. It's a huge difference once Empire installed the rug. I walked on it, and I was amazed with the quality of the product. I could have went with a little cheaper, had I known that the one that I picked was so high caliber. It was very good stuff it could last the rest of my life.

The installers were awesome. The carpet that we chose is what we wanted and it looks great. However, I'm not satisfied with the padding. It was explained that the padding we were going to get from Empire was better than what we had. I also talked to the salesman and he was with us when we went upstairs and looked at the padding and carpet. He said what Empire carries is better than what we had. With that knowledge, we went with the padding in those four rooms that was less quality than the one we had put in our bedroom. It was less thick so it wasn't as plush. It's kind of hard. You can pretty much feel the sub-floor when you stand on it and when you walk on it. In the stairway, there's a tack strip on each step. Towards the back of each step, you can feel the tack strips through the carpet. That's how thin the padding is. That was the unsatisfactory part. We were told one thing but it's not really what it is.
The problem was there were no samples of the padding. We went with the salesman's word. If we would have known that the padding was that thin, we wouldn't have gotten it. Empire told us that the salesmen don't carry around samples of padding. Empire is also telling us that to get the padding replaced, it's gonna cost us for the labor for them to come out and pull the carpet up then they would charge us whatever it is for the padding.

There were previous work that Empire had done for us to other homes. This time around, we did laminate flooring and the work was for the primary closet, primary bedroom, great room, dining room, kitchen, and bath. I call the salesman Mr. G. Because of the previous contact with the company, he continued on to the same line that the other salespeople did which made me a return customer. Mr. G had the information I needed and he answered the questions I asked. He brought in quite a few books to look at and he made suggestions. When I told him what I wanted, he showed me what I wanted then he showed me what I needed. I went with what I needed. What he showed me and to have it installed made sense.
The timeframe for the installation was acceptable. It took two days because of the area that the installers had to do. If they had done it in one day, it would have been a little bit of a concern to me. I love the flooring and I'm pleased with it. It makes my area look bigger. Last time there we saw some buckling but waited 8 months till we returned to call Empire. Empire came out and said the whole house needs to be re-stretched and we will have to pay for it since the installation warranty is only one year. Seems to me this is an installation issue. Contacted another company which stated that it looks like improper installation especially since the whole house needs to be re-stretched. She came out, agreed with what we saw and stated that it would be fixed. She even went as far to say that a professional wouldn't leave it like that. Now, they are refusing to fix what she promised. The floor is buckling, the quarter round is not secured properly or even installed properly. The transitions are all coming up. They pulled the base boards loose when removing the old carpet.
The toilets were left loose as well. They damaged the walls and the door stoppers, didn't caulk the fireplace all the way and pulled the trim away from our cabinets. They installed the floor too tight and it has caused buckling but since there is a wheelchair in the house, it's not their fault... She's a fool and has the worst customer service. They refuse to fix anything because they want to claim it's the house settling. Really? The house is not even 2 years old. They are a joke and will take the money and not care about the quality. Empire Today would able to take $500 off of the job for the hardwood floors and be able to get the job done by Monday for my husband's birthday on the 23rd of January, so we went with them. Their sales lady was very awesome. She came from Evansville. We picked out the wrong color and we matched it with the table in the middle of our rug. It did not match the base of the floor. So when the sample came all the way from Illinois, they had to drive up here two and a half hours with all this wood and it wasn't the right color. So we had them pull everything out as far as they could go. If Empire Today would have had the material in Madison, they would have been able to do it one day. The two guys came up to do it and they had to come back. They both couldn't come back the next day because of the ice storm. But one guy came back the next day and he did an awesome job. We’re so happy with it.
There was one section that my husband didn't notice because he was not a perfectionist like me. We had Empire do it because we didn't know what we were going to do with the carpet. My husband has got a bad back so for him to do it himself will be a lot of work. It was worth the money to have it done. But there was a little skidmark. I got the hypoallergenic carpet for my bedroom. It looks very nice and they did a really good job installing it. There's not anything weird or coming up. The carpet is hypoallergenic but my concern is that however they attach it is definitely not hypoallergenic. It's kind of a plasticky smell. It's been a couple of weeks and it's hard to breathe so I've been having to air it out a lot every day like crazy with my air purifier that I would set in the room and open the windows and fans.
When the sales guy came out, he was trustworthy and there was no pressure at all. He had a lot of samples and he kinda talked me through it. I felt comfortable with him. But it turned out that Empire Today's sales people are independent. He would respond to my texts and he would call his boss to make things happen. Then they called to confirm my appointment which I made two months out and paid a large deposit to hold that time and date. When I tried to call the number back because I was in a meeting when they called, it picked up and said to leave a message. I tried the 800 number on the website and the hold times were like an hour. Then they called me back again and I couldn't pick up. They left a message saying, “If you don't call us back and confirm this, your appointment is cancelled. We don't know when you can reschedule.”
I called back and confirmed but I hadn’t heard back. Finally, they showed up. The morning of, they were supposed to call to give me the time because it could be between like 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. They never did. Luckily, I was available but the guys that came weren't professional at all. They did some things that made me really mad. They were very loud. They had no idea what products they were putting in. I said wanted to confirm if the carpet is hypoallergenic but they didn’t know what that meant because English wasn’t their primary language. That’s not a big deal to me but the problem was they didn’t know if it was hypoallergenic.
They had all their tools and they needed to set them somewhere. They went and opened a door I had closed and walked into my master bathroom. It was kind of odd to just kind of start going into other rooms. I have these very plush and expensive white rugs in there and they set their dirty tools on there. When I saw it, I kind of got upset. They busted some of the tiles and I don’t blame them but I wish they would have mentioned it. I asked the guy for receipt for my final payment and he acted weird. He pulled out the form that kinda had what would be my receipt on it and I found out why he was acting weird. At the bottom, I have to sign it and write in how my experience was. He had already filled it out for me and signed my name. I told him that’s not even a legal thing to do. It was really sketchy.
I felt very alone in the process. I had bought this from this guy and he was great but after that, I didn’t know what was going on, who was showing up and when they were showing up. Then they came but I didn’t know who they were and if they had the right product. I don't think I would use them again and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to a friend.

I've gone with a few different options in the past, but it's been a while and I thought Empire was something I’d try out because I've heard so much about them through their advertisements. I liked, in this day of COVID, that they were willing to bring all the samples and we could match to what we wanted right here in the house. I was doing a bonus room upstairs so I was looking to carpet the stairwell and then do either a vinyl or a laminate for the flooring upstairs, and I went with the laminate.
The gentleman that came was friendly and knowledgeable, and went over the options with me, and tried different samples that my wife and I looked at. We were able to match them up against the wall and try to get a good look of what it might be, what it might look like coming up the stairs, and what it would look like inside the room itself. He narrowed it down, although there was not really a great big deal of options. He only came with a few books and had it narrowed down somewhat quickly. But for what we got and what we chose, I was pretty pleased with. He was with us an hour and a half and the purchase was done right there, and I went with the credit option so it took a few more minutes to apply for that. All in all, it was a fairly smooth process.
The installers were willing to come in within two or three days. However, I had to delay it a little bit because I wanted to paint the room and the hallways first. Then I had a little bit of travel in there. It was about three weeks before I had them come. We did the laminate flooring first on Monday. There was one person that installed that and that took about five hours roughly. Then about two days later, a team of three people came and did the carpeting in the stairwell. That was maybe an hour and a half. All in all, it was good. As far as the finished product, it looks good.
They also installed a quarter round to go up against the molding and looking at that and the threshold at the top of the stairs, that was a little bit shoddy. In fact, I have to call the gentleman back and then I’ll see if they could come out and just clean it up a little bit because there's a little bit of a tack or a nail that's kind of popping out a little bit on the threshold. It's not really dangerous, but it still is enough to step on it. I don't think it's going to break the skin but it shouldn't be there. There is couple of other little areas where they could have done a little bit of a neater job with the quarter round. Other than that, I'm mostly pleased. I just want to get them back out and finish up given the money I spent.
Another thing was they were advertising like 75% off of the wood floor. That was one thing that drew me in. When they got here, right away, they said, “Oh, well, that's a cheaper material I could give you, I've got some flexibility to give you a different discounts.” The rep kind of went over that with me and was showing me different things. I was thinking it's a gimmick. It was like 50% that he was giving me, but I ended up paying about 700 more than I really had in mind for spending. But I didn't do a whole lot of pricing out because they're trying to get the sale right away and I was pretty pleased with what our selection was. Overall, they did a good job. I just need to get them back out. The sales guy was good and I didn't feel a bunch of pressure because I knew he's following a script.

I actually liked the sales representatives better from the other companies that I got estimates from. But because I liked Empire's product and the price was better, I decided to go with them. I try not to be too swayed by the salesperson because they're trying to make the sale. He was too pushy for my taste. The other ones were more trying to inform me about their products. They were trying to sell to me, but they weren't as obvious as the salesperson from Empire Today.
The installers came on time. In fact, they came early, which perturbed me a little bit. But they didn't have traffic. And with COVID, everything is running a little more smoothly in the Los Angeles area. So, they were a little bit early. They brought all the products. They did the kitchen, plus a bathroom. They probably took about six hours to do it. I'm also having my cabinet replaced, and so, they left me some of the quarter-rounds. So, when the cabinets are replaced, they can also put the new quarter round in. They're going to have to take it out to do the cabinets. They were very professional, very nice and worked really hard. I couldn't have been more pleased with the installation team.
I'd tell others to consider Empire. I'd tell them to go with them if they're comparable to other companies in terms of price and product. I couldn't have been more pleased with the installation process. You want that to go smoothly. They did a beautiful job, too. I've seen all the commercials on TV, and they're kind of cheesy. But they lived up to their hype on their commercials, which doesn't happen often. As far as the new flooring, I like that my dog can't destroy it. I have a 10-month-old puppy. I had linoleum that was down that I replaced, and she was ripping up the linoleum. She cannot destroy this floor. It's beautiful. It's easy to clean.

I've used Empire Today before in my prior home. I had a good experience and that's why I used them. We bought carpeting for four bedrooms and stairs, and a sunporch. Everything went well. The guy that came gave me all the samples, the estimate and price. He set up everything. And then, the guys that came to install did a good job. There was one section that my husband saw which they needed to fix and they were like, "Oh, no problem," and they fixed it.

We decided on replacement of the floor in the kitchen. Empire Today was able to come out in three days. They showed us some samples and we picked one, and that seemed to match the continuing floor into the breakfast room. They installed the planks and pounded them together. That means that they stuck side by side, which is okay. The installation took four hours and they did a fine job so far. But check out other alternatives.

I had Empire Today put in carpet on my basement. My interaction with the installers was pleasant. The only glitch throughout the system was when the fellow came out, he told me that I would receive a confirmation email to make sure I was signed to get email about installation time, but that never happened. I guess they were trying to call me to do it instead of the email. But because of my work schedule, it was complicated. And then when we got it fixed, the installers needed a confirmation that I paid. I was never called to give them a confirmation number. I was never given a confirmation number. So, when I had to call when the installers were here, that was 20 minutes I was on the phone waiting for the customer service lady to reach whatever department that holds the confirmation numbers. Other than that, I was pleased with Empire Today.

The salesperson was extremely pushy, impatient, and a little bit condescending to my wife. But Empire had another salesperson out right away after we called to complain. The installation and the follow-up went fine. The installers were here a good part of the day and they were really good. They had minimal scuff marks on the wall. And the quality of the flooring is good. Overall, we're happy with the product and the installation. Also, I finally was able to set up a monthly payment with Wells Fargo. I got a hardcopy bill in the mail, and that was supposed to be paperless, and I was able to set up a recurring payment. But that part of it was not user-friendly. In the future, Empire needs to figure out a way to make that whole situation with the 12-month interest-free promotion a lot more user-friendly for the customers.

There was an ad for 70% off of flooring. So, I initiated the call to Empire. I didn't buy the 70% off carpet because the salesman said that there was something else available, several other things that would be about $100 and $150 more. I went with one of the other ones that he showed me, and it's fine. It looks good. The installers were good. The gentlemen who came to my house had to go out to his car about four different times to get me different samples. He showed me the ones that were 70% off and some of the other ones that he had available that would be in the price range but a little bit more after discounts.
I had a little difficulty with the installation experience because I know the date that I gave the gentleman to schedule it for, and then I got an email telling me they were coming the next day, which was fine but I have a part-time employment right now. I need to leave the house at 4:00 o'clock. So, I called, and they said the first one starts at 8:00 to 10:00, and then 12:00 to 2:00, but I was on tap for the morning. It should be fine, although I would hear from the installers. I didn't hear from the installers, and it got to be just before noon, and I called. They said they'd be there between noon and 2:00. I called back again, and I didn't get a response. About 1:30, the installers called me and told me they would be here in about 25 minutes, which they were, and they did get it done. They were out by about 10 to 4:00.
It was only one room. It wasn't a lot but I spent virtually all day, and then had to be concerned. The installers told me if they would have known, they would have put me on their schedule for first thing. I told that to the gentleman who came to the house. I told that to the person on the phone. And the person on the phone, in the scheduling process, told me that I was scheduled for first thing in the morning. So, I was at my house all day. I was afraid to leave. That was a little too over-the-top for me.
The other thing is I had just contracted with a roofer and he put me through Wells Fargo, and Wells Fargo did not approve me for the full amount. So, I had to go and then get credit from another company. When the salesman from Empire came in, I told him, “I think I should qualify for your credit. But if this already hit, I wouldn't qualify.” He even asked me, “Was one of them Wells Fargo?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “Do you wanna go through us?” I said, “Well, yeah, I'd like it.” It was a very good deal for financing. There will be no interest to pay in 12 months. So, I said, “Yeah, I’d really like that.” Lo and behold, he put me through Wells Fargo. So, it's a mark on my credit for running it through Wells Fargo, and then being declined.
So, I pulled out one of my credit cards, and I had to put down 50%. I can pay it off and I'm not worried about the interest. It’ll take me two or three months to pay it off but it's worth it. I have the carpet. I'm happy with it. I'm happy with the job that the installers did. It's just that that really kind of ticked me off. I was ready to say, “Okay, forget it.” But now, since I’m this far through the process, you get to the point where you don't wanna shop around anymore. I would recommend Empire with stipulations like, “Watch out for this. Watch out for that.” I would say, “Yes. I would recommend that you at least have them come in and give you an estimate and stuff like that. But be leery, one, of the financing. Because not everybody is approved.” Even though my credit score was in the high sixes in one, and over 700 with the other, I didn't qualify because it was Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo had just given me $10,000 a couple of days before for my roof.

We have used Empire in the past. They installed some carpet for us up in Minnesota a number of years ago. For the wood flooring in this house, I had been looking around to try and find a narrow plank floor to match the one existing wood floor in here. My mom had done the same thing in her house, and Empire did a really great job for her when she was putting that type of flooring into the master bedroom to try and match the stuff that was already existing. So, that was really the reason that we chose Empire the first time.
Unfortunately, our first experience was awful. So, I swore I would never go with them again because of it. Although, we do have lovely floors for the first two rooms that were installed. When a big renovation project came around, what we decided to do was to go ahead and try and match the floor for the kitchen and dining room to the other two rooms that they would install. So, I looked around, and I was really having trouble finding the Armstrong product. Finally, my husband said, "Listen, this isn't going to happen again. Let's just call Empire."
When we called, their salespeople were wonderful. So, I have absolutely no complaint with them. We had difficulties again when it came time for the installation. There was some miscommunication about the actual product itself. We thought that it was a similar Armstrong product. When we had talked with the salesperson, he said that there are changes that are made. Sometimes, it's just the color name, other times, it's products. We really thought that we were going to get the same product. When it showed up, the installer said, "This is not the same product" and showed us all the differences. She immediately said. "You have an Armstrong product on your floor. This is not." We did not prompt her.
We contacted our sales rep, Dave, who was wonderful. He checked to see if there was any stock left of this because what he found out was that the Armstrong product had just been discontinued, so we can't get it anymore. So, that fast forwards us to the install of what's currently sitting down here that the inspector came for on February 4th. We're in trouble with this floor too. He counted at least 100 defects between the two rooms. I have no idea what's going to go on. Empire was to follow up with this week to see how to move this process forward.
The salespeople are responsive and they have all sorts of suggestions for you. The problem that we're having and that we've had on two occasions is not with the sales' end but it's with everything else. The first time, it was install problems, and we had install issues in Minnesota too. They've ruined a lot of the baseboards when these guys were installing the carpet. I didn't have time to replace big sections because it was real Cherry. So, I, myself, went out and found somebody who does wood restoration in old homes up in that area. I hired him to just do it before we put the house on the market. We did it in our cost because we didn't have time to futz around with the system.
The same thing kind of happened again with this wood floor install. The whole corporate structure in Illinois, two years ago, it seemed to fall apart. We complained on a number of occasions. I hate being like that, but in order to get any action on the floor, we ended up with a completely different product. We went through and talk to one of the reps who handles customer service, and then, I wouldn't hear from anybody for weeks on end. I finally posted a pretty scathing review to the Better Business Bureau. When even that didn't help, we ended up filing a motion with the Illinois AG. I don't know if that was coincidental, but that kicked a couple of things into motion, whereby inspectors came out, and then it was decided that there were both install issues mainly, and product issues too.
There were product issues with the floor, which is why Empire finally said, "Pick a different wood floor." We went with the newest one that was a wider plank version of the narrow plank that didn't match the dining room. As we were getting to this particular install, what we're finding is that the salesforce is really good. They definitely intervened. The inspector who came out was wonderful. But it's maddening that you don't hear anything after that. My kitchen has been torn up now. I have metal racks in here holding garbage all over since December 26th or 27th. Empire is not good on follow-up. I could never recommend them for that reason. It doesn't make any difference if their salespeople are good if both the install process and the product aren't living up to expectations. I feel bad because we were so excited to try and get this started again with Empire. And then it was like, "Oh my God, and now you have sidelined us yet again."

The installers were done in a little over a day. We did our whole house, so that was impressive.

We also shopped at Home Depot but Empire Today had a quicker installation time. The sales rep had a good understanding of what we were looking for and showed us sufficient options for us to make an informed decision. It was straightforward. The installers showed up on time and they were very fast. They cleaned up well after they were done and there were no issues. The flooring is holding up well so far.

The reason I chose Empire is that I already knew them. They're prominent when it comes to advertising and they were having actually a pretty good special, which was 50% off on material and labor. I thought it was already a pretty big deal. When I called them to get an estimate, I was happy with the value. I got blinds and carpets and I'm very happy with everything.

I had Empire Today install luxury vinyl flooring throughout the home except for my bedroom and the master bath. The installers were very professional and efficient. It was excellent dealing with them. Everything was nice.
