I have had my Dyson DC 33 vacuum for well over 5 years now, and it still suctions great. I am a little embarrassed to say that I have not thoroughly cleaned it like instructed but it still works great. It has the attachment to get hard to reach places. I would have liked to be able to just reach under place without an attachment. Other than that it is a GOOD vacuum.

I absolutely love our Dyson vacuum. TONS of suction power and a lot of accessories that get the job done. We have three dogs so that says it all. However, I wish the canister was bigger and that its main part was easier to detach from the top. Beside that, great vacuum for the toughest jobs.

We purchased new Dyson V7 Animal. Handheld, rechargeable with attachments. It has 2 speeds. Low is good for hard flat surface. High is excellent for carpet/rugs. The attachments are very handy and can be used to cleaned furniture and upholstery. Easy to empty compartment. Easy to clean and maintain. It is expensive however- about $400. The only real negative so far is battery life. It will only last about 5-10 minutes at high speed, then it just dies. Otherwise, it's a well-designed and high quality vacuum device.

Battery ran out very quickly. Had to buy a new one. Cleaning filter is very complicated and confusing. The vacuum cleaner looks nice, but I would prefer that it was such high maintenance! I would buy another one.

I like this very versatile vacuum that my wife ordered. My "cleaning" skills are getting better as I get under things easier and can visibly see what I'm picking up. With a flick of a button I can detach and reattach the unit quickly and with ease. I also like the extended electrical cord.

Dyson animal vacuum is the best vacuum I've ever owned. 100% satisfied with it. It cleans hardwood, carpet and upholstery beautifully. And pet hair! It never gets clogged. I've owned mine for 4 years, it has run great the entire time.

I love my Dyson cordless, rechargeable vacuum. It is lightweight, powerful, and versatile. Hepa filter, with an easy to empty to filter compartment it makes floor care a breeze! So much nicer than either an upright corded or canister vacuum.

I love my Dyson Absolute, I have an older model and it is still going strong. The suction is excellent and picks up dog hair really well. It’s easy to empty canister and you are able to clean air filter with water. I use the pullout hose all the time and works wonderfully.

My cordless works great! Had a problem with a part breaking and they replaced it with a whole new vac (main unit) not including attachments. no charge for shipping either way. I think it would be good if they made it possible to have an extra rechargeable battery because sometimes I run out of a charge. Easy to pick up for daily and vac the main floor in a hurry. Easy to store and easy to recharge.

The Dyson Vacuum has significant power, is lightweight, and performs well, leaving my surfaces clean. The vacuum is best on the market for the price and easy to operate, with a modern design and access to additional attachments when you register your vacuum. It is also easy to clean and no fuss with bags. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I can say enough about Dyson cordless vacuum. I had other brand cordless vacuum but this is way better! It’s light which is good for someone who suffers of chronic pain but it is very powerful. It sucks all dust and dog’s fur. This is one of the best purchase we had done.

I have the Dyson V6 cordless vacuum. I am satisfied with the performance and the battery life is less than 20 minutes but the one thing they gets me is the dust will build-up and collect on the lower portion of the bowl and stop Circulation and will build-up a clogged so I have to empty it before the battery ever dies. Overall I like the vacuum. A few design improvements it would be a perfect Vacuum.

We own a 90 lb Golden Retriever who sheds constantly...the Dyson works better than any vacuum I ever used. My neighbor bought a Golden and I brought my battery operated Dyson.. She tried it and immediately went out and bought one. Great suction, lightweight, Even better and faster!

The on off button for the power brush wasn't working so I sent it back to be repaired under the warranty. Not even a year later it no longer works, now the warranty is over. I do not want to incur the expense to send it back and pay for the repair.

Reliable and consistent quality performance. I’ve tried several different brands but I found that the extra cost was balanced by the life of the vacuum. Mine is 10 years old and still performs fantastically.

I like my smaller Dyson. It is lightweight- easy to maneuver and pull around. The cord is extremely long- allowing me to complete a larger area before changing plug location.... And I love how easy to clean- and NO BAGS!

Adjusting to a cordless Dyson meant learning to store it on the charger, empty the bin, and rinse the filter regularly, but it's so worth it! Love the flexibility of a cordless vac, great attachments, the lightweight portability and how it easily negotiates around and under furnishings, corners, and stairs! BEST vacuum I've ever owned and great suction. Love it!

It surprises me the amount of what it picks up, the suction is strong and makes me feel my carpets have been cleaned thoroughly, I like the way the long handle can reach under the beds and sofa, Also I like the attachments for the stairs. It makes it so much easier to get into the corners.

I am amazed at the power of the Dyson: it is expensive but so worth it! They honor their warranty completely and have terrific "help" personnel. I was so happy with mine that I bought a smaller, and lighter model for my Mom (they are a bit heavy).

I now have two cats and my Dyson works really great. I’m picking up cat hair and attachments are very very good for taking the cat hair off of the furniture. I only have one cat that sheds and my other cat is a short hair but I just love my Dyson. It picks up everything. It is so easy to maneuver. I have had it for five years and it works just like if I had bought it yesterday.

We have a Dyson V8. It is great to not have a cord. It will vacuum for a least 1/2 hour before the battery dies. Pros are: weight, ease of use, goes anywhere, no cord, picks up well. Cons: small dust bin, 3 year battery life, cost. We did have a problem with the beater bar attachment early on but they replaced it at no charge. The battery did wear out but it was easy to get a new one and to replace it. We would definitely buy another one.

The air I breathe smells better. No dust on the carpets, floors or walls, very easy to use, lightweight and practical, comes with 3 tools for dust collecting. All great for hard to reach areas, I am really happy with my purchase.

I have bought at least three vacuum from Dyson. All I loved except my last one has put me through a lot and my warranty just expired while I was sick in the hospital for 14 days and almost died and then this covid 19 and people losing their jobs and everyone closing I lost out on my warranty and still having problems with the vacuum. I think it was a lemon but what can I do about it know.

For some reason it gets real loud while vacuuming. The canister isn't full. It's annoying. My attachments don't have a holder on the vacuum itself. My old Dyson did. I have the Animal Ball now. The suction on is GREAT! Can't use on an area rug though and you have to change the settings from carpet to hardwood.

Dyson is a great company. My mom always complained about how hard her vacuum was to push and that she got older. I really was looking for a vacuum that was really lightweight yet powerful for her because she has arthritis and I could not find one. When the Dyson battery power came out it blew my mind. I was so happy that I could finally buy her a vacuum. I bought one for myself first. I wanted to make sure that she would like it because I know how picky she is. She really is a clean freak and I was surprisingly ecstatic when using it. It met all and I mean all of her complaints on her other vacuums. I mean she must have spent tens of thousands of dollars on the highest quality vacuums when I was a kid growing up. I was finally able to get her her vacuum of her dreams. She always literally pictured this vacuum. She explained it and next thing you know it was on the market. It was actually a prayer answered. Unbelievable.

Great vacuum, love that it is cordless, battery life is great as we can vacuumed our entire space without it going dead, easy to clean and wow what suction. The wall mount is great as it also holds the attachments. Cordless allows us to take it down to the dock and clean our boat as well.

Dyson is known for “it never loses suction”, but it actually does...if enough debris like hair gets caught in the rollers and belt! It’s overall a great vacuum, but the price point could use a lot of reducing! It costs way too much, and that’s just the brand in itself.

This is a very light vacuum which is important when you are older. It does a very good job of cleaning and I like their docking. I am going to have to buy a new one because we are moving and I will get the same model.

Seems to be overpriced for a vacuum that's not heavy duty. The roller is easily clogged with hair and is hard to clean. I do appreciate it being lightweight and easy to remove the dirt canister. Seems to have below average suction. I would not purchase another one.

Looks good (design) and good reputations. But, after using 1.5 year, the battery life is really short (less than 5min in turbo mode, 10min in regular mode). I would not buy this vacuum (Dyson V8 absolute) if I knew this.

Great suction, too expensive. The design is modern, the motor powerful, and suction strong. Too expensive for a plastic tool that can easily be damaged. Previously owned a Kirby system, of similar price. Kirby has metal body and heavy beater bar, along with multiple tools. Gifted Kirby system to my child when I bought Dyson.

This Dyson is the most fantastic vacuum I’ve ever owned. First of all it’s cordless! Big plus! I can dash around without tripping on a cord. Next, it has lots of pickup power. It picks up cat litter and cat hair just like that. I’m one of those seniors you’ve heard about...We can’t push around anything heavy anymore. This is lightweight and maneuvers into tight places quick as a wink. It even fits in the space behind the toilet. None of my old vacuums did that. It has 2 settings. I use it on my carpet and on my porcelain tile floors. Works great on both surfaces. I even can pick it up easily to vacuum all the gray hair off of Graycie’s cat tree. When I’m all finished, I just dump the dirt, and then I just plug it in and charge it up for our next adventure around the house.

Very lightweight and easy to carry and store. It does a very good job in cleaning my floors. Currently, I use it for my upstairs as well as down but intend to buy a second one to avoid having to carry the same one up and down.

My Dyson is 13 years old and still runs like a champ. Because we had a Newfoundland and a Chihuahua, and later, two cats and a German Shepherd, our home was covered in pet hair. We went through one vacuum after another. They all wore out, and none of them were good at getting up the pet hair. After spending tons of money on upscale vacuums, I was hesitant to throw away more cash. But a friend who also had multiple pets, told me her Dyson was the best she'd ever used. I'm so glad I tried it. For the first time in years, my floors were clean. This vacuum was built to last - and built for tough cleaning jobs. I highly recommend.

Great vacuum cleaner, I have long haired cats and my Dyson vacuum cleaner picks up all the hair. It is very easy to use and very lightweight. I would definitely recommend my Dyson vacuum cleaner to everyone.

Overall my rating is a 4. It's great for picking up small stuff, cat hair, dust bunnies etc, but larger (even the size of a pea), not so much. On the plus side, it is very easy to clean, and change accessories.

I have the cordless Dyson. It is so easy to take this vacuum to any area needed to clean inside your home or outside for your car. It is very lightweight. Attachments are extremely easy to put on and take off. There is also a variety of attachments to choose from. One downside is the storage of the attachments. The vacuum design does not account for storage for all of the attachments. Lastly, the suction of this machine is terrific. It is very forceful at its strongest setting and picks up very well. But, the drawback is, if you use its strongest setting, the power runs low very quickly, needing to be recharged again. Overall, I love my vacuum and am able to work around its few deficits.

I've had a Dyson vacuum for about 13 years (the same one). With some moderate repairs - all parts available at online stores - and regular cleaning of the filter, a Dyson vacuum will last a long time. It works very well and has several options for attachments to handle any job. They do tend to get a little noisier as they age, so if that's a concern, there might be other vacuums that will be better for you.

It does a vacuum's job very, very well. The attachments are easy to use and the transition from vacuum to cleaning tool is easy enough for an older, middle age man like me. Our house breeds dust bunnies and our Dyson helps us maintain control of the herd.

I didn't think I'd ever love a vacuum, but I love my Dyson vacuum. It is lightweight and easy to use. If you have trouble dragging a heavy vacuum up and down the stairs, this vacuum will make your day. It swivels around curved objects easily, and is very powerful. It is not bulky either, and you can easily vacuum under the couch without having to move any furniture. I have never had any problems with it getting jammed or overheating. I will never buy another brand of vacuum again. The attachments are perfect for cleaning out your car, too. In my opinion as a Mechanical Engineer, it is a perfect design.

Very expensive and promises the world but they break and you are stuck with them non functioning. Seems fraudulent. Lots of wasted time and money for the consumer. Nice design bad craftsmanship. Poor quality.

I love my Dyson canister vacuum. It has very strong suction and automatically self adjusts to the type of floor. It takes up very small space in the closet which is another plus. I enjoy the retractable plug also. My only dislike is that the canister doesn't hold much. So you have to keep an eye on the canister for when it reaches the fill line and empty it out which means stopping vacuuming and empty out the canister and returning and vacuuming more. With pets and living in a sandy area it does not take long to fill the canister so that is the downside of it. Other than that it is a great vacuum that swivels easily to get in tight spaces and has all sorts of attachments!

Very convenient vac! Outstanding for daily clean up. Newest model has longer run time between charging. Very happy with cleaning results and ease of operation! Great lightweight device to handle. Good for family members of all ages to handle.

I am am absolutely blown away by this vacuum cleaner. It removes pet hair and debris far beyond any other vacuum cleaner I've ever used, and leaves my carpet looking as though it has just been cleaned.

Does a super job on pet hair! Passed my Dyson onto my daughter who equally loves it. Seems to be a steady workhorse that gives me no troubles. I am looking forward to purchasing my next Dyson. Nothing ever malfunctioned on this so not sure how to rate their warranty.

The power in this upright is the best I've seen - very good. Using the attachments is rather difficult however with the way they've designed the rigid and flexible hoses. The flexible hose bends until it is pinched off and suction is impeded. I don't think this was well thought out. I expect the hose to eventually break here once it gets older.

The Dyson vacuum cleaner has been an excellent investment. I’ve been using it for over 10 years. I keep it clean to get maximum suction efficiency. I appreciate the way it really cleans the carpet, lifting dust and other objects from the carpet. The only negative I have is how the attachments work with the vacuum cleaner. Cleaning the stairs is kind of uncomfortable the way the attachment works with the coiled extension. Other than that, I’m absolutely sold! I’ll never purchase any other brand of vacuum! All others are merely copy-cat versions! Just not with it in the long run!

I hate vacuuming, but I love my Dyson! The design is very conveniently ergonomic with the most commonly needed attachments on board. It's quieter than others I tried, which is a big plus. It is also very well balanced. It glides effortlessly as I go room to room, which is helpful for trying to get the job done quickly.

The Dyson 7 is pretty good. It was my third cordless vacuum, I'm 75 so that is a lot of dirt sucked up, and it is by far the best unit with good attachments but missing some I did want and no way to get them. Good suction but very short battery life overall. After 3 years it's about dead though it's been in the charger the whole time and not used that much. It was on sale and I am poor. If you have more to spend look at other brands and more powerful models in Dyson's line and you will be happier.

This is the vacuum that I absolutely love! Recommend it to everyone! My vacuum is cordless and I love it- it makes the routine much easier and even fun. Everyone in my family do the vacuum cleaning now and it takes no afford. Thank you Dyson!

My Dyson is the very first model that ever came out and going strong- these are vacuums that are made so well and made to last, you'll never have to buy another one! Works so well and the design is top line. It's a bit heavy- I bet current models are lighter. The suction and effectiveness is the best of any brand I've used - it picks up more pet hair than the vacuums that say they are for picking up pet hair. Love the ease of the canister. The attachments are a little janky and hard to connect but again, I bet easier with newer models. A bit heavy for vacuuming stairs. Overall this brand proves you get what you pay for, I love my Dyson!

It is not as easy to use as it appears. Getting into tight places is difficult and cleaning out the container is difficult. The weight is light which is good sometimes but at other times it would be better if it was heavier. This is especially true on carpet and rugs.

I love my Dyson, great for pet hair and it has lasted for many years as long as I maintain it. I have had the vacuum for over 10 years and love it. Dysons are expensive; however, it is one of those rare products that are made to last rather than marketed to cost you more money.

Never have to buy vacuum bags. Has worked reliably for several years. The emergency shut-down system saved it once so far. It’s the Dyson Animal. If we have to buy another, it will be a Dyson.

Dyson makes reliable, quality vacuums. They are lightweight, have great suction, and the attachments are adequate. They are durable and made to last. The prices for these vacuums are pretty high, but they do last.

Love this cordless vacuum, only thing is the vent sometimes hits me in the face when its turned on a angle. The suction is awesome and the angle of the head really helps. Battery life is ok. Love the ease of taking the motorhead off for charging. Also love the ease of taking off and putting on the attachments also. The ease of cleaning out the dust bin is also easy.

If it's not a Dyson it is tough to say what it will do, with my house and my floors Dyson is the only way to go. Sturdy, tough & not on the high side for the durable quality product you receive when getting yourself a Dyson. If you choose another then good luck. If you choose Dyson you're ready!!

It has three power settings, economy, medium and boost and are switchable with a button push. In economy mode, the power is a bit better than a typical hand vac and a charge lasts 74 minutes. Medium is almost as strong as a corded vacuum and the charge lasts about 40 minutes. Boost mode is as strong or stronger than a corded floor vacuum and the charge lasts only 9 minutes. I used the Dyson mostly in medium mode and was able to clean dirt and long hair with no issue. I was also able to pick up gravel from a car floor easily.

I have a small Dyson designed for use by people with allergies. It is easy to maneuver and works quite well in most applications. However while the ball does make it easy to use it will interfere with getting under low furniture. You cannot lay it down flat so low tables and such will have to be moved. The collection cup is easy to so you can tell when it needs to be emptied. This is simple to detach and easy to empty. Overall I am satisfied with the product and not sorry I purchased it.

Have both a corded and a cordless machine. I feel the corded one gets the deeper dirt but it’s heavy and hard on my back. The cordless is great for weekly jobs. Very happy with both. Dyson customer service is wonderful.

I purchased a house that was in dire need of repair. I hired a company to renovate the house. The renovation was so extensive that they gave me a new hand-held Dyson vacuum, to show their appreciation of our partnership. I used the vacuum sporadically for about two and a half weeks. I always cleaned it after every use, and always stored it in the charger. After that two and a half weeks, it would no longer charge. I contacted Dyson, and they sent a list of possible problems, and things to try to remedy the situation. None of them worked. Normally, under these circumstances, I would insist on a replacement. However, since I didn't actually "buy" it, I didn't believe I should making such demands.

The Dyson Ball Animal 2 upright vacuum is a waste of money. The power cord is weak and after the third time of using it. They claim to have a 5 year warranty. See below response from a customer service representative who will not send a $30 replacement part. It was not chewed by our pet. The vacuum chewed it. Additionally, when I use this vacuum, the entire house smells as it burns the animal hair. It's a horrific smell and the vacuum is poor quality. I will go back to a Shark. Their quality is much better!

The Dyson V7 is a waste of money. There is no on or off switch. Continually needs to be charged. Doesn't hold a charge while waiting for use. You get 15-20 minutes of use, then it dies. When you need it in a pinch, there will be no power unless you just charged it. Too expensive for something this poorly designed.

I received a Dyson V7 as a gift for Christmas (2019). After only using a handful of times the battery started to give out. Only one month since getting it it now only runs for a maximum of minutes. I have tried everything to fix this from cleaning to leaving it on charge overnight, but every time I use it I only get about 3-4 minutes out of it before it dies. I contacted Dyson about this and they were very unhelpful, with the only resolution being that I would have to purchase a new battery for $160. I am not looking to invest even more money into this vacuum, especially if this is the quality I am to expect. It was an expensive enough purchase to begin with. Now I'm stuck with a super expensive paperweight. Will not be purchasing a Dyson ever again.

I have 3 Dyson products at home V7 Vacuum cleaner, Dyson hot cool, and Dyson vacuum cleaner. Current review is for Hand Vacuum cleaner. It has good power however Its battery life pretty bad. Less than 4 years the battery is fully dead. After full charging it lasts less than 30 seconds.

We purchased a Dyson V7 Absolute for £440. After 2 years we had problems. It started working intermittently and could not be used on MAX power as it completely died within seconds. We contacted Dyson Customer service who said we needed to pay £79 for a new battery and £79 for an engineer to attend? £158 to have it made good after 2 years and that did not include any potential further new parts? I can't believe that having paid £440 I would be expected to pay this. I am going to buy a brand new shark vacuum cleaner £189 real value for money.

We agonised over which hoover to buy and finally settled on a Dyson..Big mistake. Nothing wrong with the customer service except for the fact that they are selling a sub standard product that performs like a £20 Chinese imitation. We have the V6, it's rarely used, we have no pets and no children but still it has to be stripped down every two weeks as the motor stutters due to dust. The roller gave up the ghost after 18 months, free replacement was sent and the problem was fixed but what if it had lasted another 7 months like the battery? You guessed it, a month or two after the guarantee ended the battery failed, time to buy a new one say dyson but the product doesn't even vacuum that well.

Stay away from Dyson. I feel bad for recommending this company to my mom when she needed a new vacuum. It stopped working in less than one year; and they no longer stand behind their product like they used to. She called customer service and was referred to a local vacuum cleaner repair shop almost one month ago. It's still not fixed... As they are awaiting a part. She called Dyson customer service to inquire about the part, and spoke to a very rude prick who told her he had no idea when the part would be sent. I am going to bring my vacuum cleaner to her house so we can vacuum. I will never buy another Dyson and neither will she. They are just following a long list of other companies that used to be great... But are now unreliable and shoddy.

I've had issues since day 1 opening the canister. It is impossible to open, no matter how easy it may look and no matter what they tell you in the demo. I've done it for 3 years and had to finally throw it out. Before that, I called Dyson, and they sent a new canister. But it's not the canister, it's the opening mechanism. Now I'm in the market for another cordless and I doubt it will be Dyson. I was in Costco and it looked like they changed the design for the opening mechanism. Three years too late for me. I am so disappointed in Dyson. A company that prides itself on quality, should have a longer warranty than 2 years. BTW, Dyson offered a 20% discount if I wanted to purchase a new one. There are much better deals in Costco when they run specials, like they are this week.

Appalling short battery life, takes forever to charge and hardly completes one room. Tiny little collection tank. Really wish I hadn’t wasted so much money on this rubbish!!! With a builder partner and a shedding dog I thought this would be a great buy but have been left seriously disappointed.

I only used the brand new Dyson V7 Allergy for a few times and DID NOT do the job at all! I called customer support and they send me to our local service center to find out that I lost the warranty because I used the Dyson in my restaurant! This brand new Dyson was not made for business, ONLY for home. Lol! I found this statement poor and totally unfair for the price of the product!!! If DYSON believes in their product quality should support the customer...especially when the vacuum is only a few weeks new. Sorry, Dyson...but I was expecting you to take some more responsibility!

My 3rd Dyson took a crap today. What is with Dyson? Poor customer service, high priced and lots of plastic parts that break easily. The V11 works fabulous when it does work. I am beyond frustrated now that I have to go through the entire customer service return experience. AGAIN Only to have to wait weeks for the replacement to come. I am confident Dyson is well aware of the issues with the trigger ceasing to engage. Yet, they are still selling these. I am hoping for an upgrade to the new machine. Wish me luck!

I will update this review when my situation resolves. But, long story short, Dyson still has not shipped me a replacement vacuum 16 days after receiving a non-functional one from Amazon despite prompt communication with Dyson on my part. Seems that my issue keeps falling through the cracks on their end. This is unacceptable customer service for such an expensive, high-end item.

Please don't buy a Dyson product, bought an air purifier, not a cheap 1 a 600.00 plus one, right out of the box it did not work, Called support. Could not do anything. They sent me a return label, no empathy that it was a Xmas present, I did my part. Rushed it to UPS store. Few days later got confirmation they received the return. It's 45 days later and I'm still waiting on refund. Called today and they turned it all on me to supply a tracking # when they had already sent me a received e-mail back. Don't know when and if I will ever get my refund but the lady in customer service made it very clear "I'm just an employee" so be it. I WILL NEVER EVER OWN ANOTHER HIGH PRICED DYSON PRODUCT....all my friends and family will be warned also....terrible customer service totally...

I ordered the Dyson V11 cordless vacuum cleaner on Black Friday 2019. Instead of going with Amazon, I was swayed by Dyson’s offer to include a free set of attachments and the fact that they advertised their price match. Fast forward, my order was duplicated due to a glitch on their website. I called to cancel the duplicate order, which I was told was not possible even though the vacuum had not been shipped yet. So I waited until it arrived and brought it right back to UPS to ship back to Dyson.

I want everyone to know the horrible and agonizing experience that I recently had with The Dyson co. I had had many dyson products over the years at a much higher cost than all their competitors and I was satisfied until I purchase a dyson stick wireless vacuum for over two hundred dollars. The battery stopped working 3 mths after purchase and of course it was under warranty. They sent me a replacement battery for free. The customer service attendant kept saying, "If you have trouble replacing the battery call us." So I got out my 4 different Phillips head screwdrivers and not one was small enough to fit the tiny screen that hold the battery in. I called and they said, We dont have a screwdriver to send you and that I should buy a #1 or #2 Phillips and that should work."

Date: 1/16/2020. I have 2 Dyson V7 (Animal bought October 2018 and Motorhead bought March 2019), the Animal was through Dyson phone service- it works beautifully even with my 5' long hair (my hair is almost touching the floor) and a blue heeler that sheds like crazy. I went ahead and bought a Motorhead soon after when it was on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond ($216.49), bad decision!

Don't order from Dyson. Placed an order on their site and Dec. 3rd and they charged me Dec. 5th. Never received the vacuum and they made me file a police return and file claim with UPS in which I did. I requested a refund at that point since they don't require signature and it would potentially get stolen again if it's just left at the door all day while I'm at work. Rather than refunding, they send out a replacement vacuum. They have the worst customer service. It's now Jan 13th and I still have not received a refund.

I've actually had two bad experiences from Dyson. This first was ordering a vacuum from them. It said it would arrive by the following Tuesday. After a few days for processing, I got a tracking number. It gave me that Tuesday delivery date but the status was "label created". They had not given it to UPS yet. Long story short, I received 1 ½ weeks after the promised delivery date. They had run out and were now shipping from across the country with GROUND shipping. Was never contacted to let me know of different delivery dates or anything. There is no way to check your order status unless you call, and when I did, I kept getting different answers.

Nothing but Dyson for us! We have the DC41 Animal. Recently a part on the roller broke. I first googled replacement parts, searched Amazon, Ebay and other sites. I ended up calling Dyson Customer Services. I explained the issue and they quickly found the part I was needing and said my vacuum was still under warranty. They shipped out a replacement part and kept me posted on the status via email. First and foremost, I appreciate their exceptional customer service.

I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner from this company and I received my Dyson cleaner after 15 days and the worse thing is that they deduct the money from my account 2 times and they say, "We sent you two vacuum cleaner," which is a big Lie. In my opinion they are big Fraudster!!!

We purchased this item way before Christmas and apparently they sent it which was stuck in Ontario Ca. I reached out after 2 weeks w/o any progress. Back on Dec 23rd. Fran with Dyson reached out and apologized we didn't get the product we purchased and asked me to file a POLICE REPORT!! When clearly it was never delivered! I wasted my time filing an report only to hear back from SFPD that since it was never delivered, Dyson/Ontario needs to file it.

The Dyson vacuum cleaner is the worst vacuum cleaner ever marketed. It is overpriced and under performs in every possible way. It is Very difficult to use and very awkward to change the different nozzles. Please anyone thinking of purchasing a vacuum cleaner do not buy the Dyson brand. You will be wasting your money and lots of it.

I have purchased online a V7 vacuum and it said will ship via 2 day shipping. But I found this is a bogus claim. The UPS tracking # show it did not get shipped even on 3rd day. (I ordered on 12/30/19 and I have to call on 1/2/20 on customer service to find out they did not even pass to UPS yet). This caused me need to reroute the shipping address since I have left the original location. The only response of all these is a "sorry for inconvenience (first no one keep track of the status for 3 days, then no one care to expedite even after they found out). I did not receive the unit yet but only can hope is an intact brand new unit... I think they have serious internal issue within company.

The Dyson vacuum works very well on carpet. However within a year the rollerball (between stick and head) starts to wear. It then leaves dreadful scuff marks if using it on wooden floors. You could keep replacing the head but you’d be doing it yearly - at great expense. I raised this with Dyson but they weren’t interested. If you have wooden floors then don’t buy a Dyson. I have found other people have commented on this problem. I won’t be buying another one.

I have been a fan of Dyson for years but purchased a very expensive fan and heater and it does not work and Dyson offered me a 20% discount instead of a replacement. So I love their design but will never purchase another Dyson product.

Dyson corded and cordless. I have owned 3 Dysons In 5 years. The products are way overpriced for what you get. I had the dyson ball animal. It broke in half 3 days after my warranty ended. They gave me 30 percent off a new one. I purchased the newer version of it. 2 months after the warranty was out the motor went. I should have learned. I read the reviews on the cordless. I purchased one for our Florida condo. 2 years 2 months. So 2 months after the warranty ended the battery went. I find dyson gets top dollar way overpriced. Will not purchase another dyson product. Sad I am 60 and still using a Electrolux for my autos that my grandparents owned. If you want a 2 year vacuum buy a dyson.

Where do I purchase a Dyson online and it was the wrong one so I called to change the order. They would not let me change the order. I had to buy that vacuum. Let it come to my house and return it and buy another one so I do that. I send the vacuum back that I'm supposed to send back and by the way I still haven't been refunded. I was supposed to receive another vacuum. Unknowingly to me it was returned and I got an email is how I found out. Oh, I'm so. I called Dyson to ask about it and they tell me, "Where the one hasn't been refunded but we're not going to send any back until you pay for another one." Now mind you if I pay for another vacuum dollar bill over $1,700. As it is the little bit of money I did have I spent on a vacuum and now the little bit of money that I had for presents for the kids is tied up in another vacuum that I haven't gotten back.

I ordered the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Allergy vacuum which came with $100.00 worth of additional attachments. I choose the Home Cleaning Kit. Dyson failed to mention that those particular attachments already came with the vacuum. I contacted Dyson to exchange the set of duplicate tools. This was their response "Unfortunately, we are unable to exchange the free tool kits once the order is placed." I may have to return the whole unit. Terrible customer service. Do not buy direct from Dyson.

Spent almost $300 for a battery powered vacuum that has either no suction or no battery. Literally every time I use it the battery either dies in less than 5 minutes or it doesn't pick anything up. We have cleaned it, charged it, everything it suggests. I paid for the warranty and guess what, when you call the people are rude and hang up on you. Was a waste of money. Super frustrated I spent so much for something that lasted only a few months. Certainly not worth the money or the headache.

Very disappointed in the Dyson (Purple) Animal Vacuum. It worked great for the first year, but not worth the price or the hype for picking up animal hair. I have a Golden Retriever. I have more hair wrapped around the roller than in the canister. I must use scissors to cut the hair off the roller, at minimal, once a month. After a couple of years, the suction just doesn't do the job anymore. I have always prided myself on how I take care of my "stuff". I would wipe down the vacuum cleaner every time I was done using it as well as maintaining the filters. This vacuum is going in the garbage and I am replacing it with the animal vacuum made by SHARK for less money.

I have had the Dyson Animal for several years. I noticed it had idiosyncrasies, but not until I started using it as my sole vacuum did I start to really recognize how subpar it is. The main complaint I have is the lack of suction. On the first pass, even simple household dust and particles are left behind. After several more passes, some are picked up, but not larger particles like leaves or dry pet food kernels, which I must pick up in a dust pan!!

Dyson used to be great. I raved about my old Dyson Animal cordless which was a V6. After using it daily for years on my hard floors picking up animal hair and using the attachments on my couch and bedding it finally died and I was going to have it repaired, but then I saw the Dyson Animal V8 for a really reasonable price at Costco and thought wow, it's more powerful. I'll just upgrade. The old one had a very good run. I couldn't be more sad at the change in suction (I still don't understand how a V6 picked up better than a V8), louder noise, shorter run time and overall cheaper feel.

I saved my Air Miles for 2 years so I could get a Dyson. Received it and loved it. 4 years later it died. Took it in and discovered that there is a filter that we dont see that cost as much as the vacuum to repair. I now own a Miele.

My Dyson -V-6 vacuum worked very well but recently started and stopped intermittently. The trigger required a new part. These vacuums are not meant to be taken apart and repaired. Dyson support offer 20% discount on new vacuum. I felt this wasn't satisfactory as these vacuums cost more than a central vacuum systems. I won't buy another Dyson.

My Dyson Big Ball Cinetic upright vacuum recently broke down. The part which broke was the red colored clip on the Cyclone which attaches the Cyclone to the handle/frame of the vacuum. I looked online and tried to find a replacement part using various sites like Google and Amazon. I could not find an equivalent part. I reached out to Dyson customer service via chat on their website and explained the problem. After spending some time I was told that a replacement part would be shipped.

Poor vacuum performance from day one. Dyson will not fully support any product that was not directly purchased from them. That means that if you go to a retailer, where most people purchase products like this, it gives them an "out." Buyer beware. Done with Dyson.

We own three Dyson products. A ball vacuum DC37C Multifloor, Dyson V8 Animal, and a Supersonic hairdryer. We have unfortunately experienced three separate issues with the products and in each situation, we have been treated absolutely tremendous from the customer support team. We had a powerhead issue that occurred,(which is not under our warranty) and through the description of the issue Dyson decided it was better to replace at no charge instead of charging a discounted price for the replacement. There is no better product than Dyson and there is definitely no better customer support like Dyson offers in our world today. I am and always will be a Dyson owner forever!

I started by purchasing 2 stick vacuums & within 9-12 months the batteries went out. I purchased another & within 9 months the same thing happened. ($105 for replacement batteries). These were the v6 models & the regular stick vac. We called Dyson & they said the warranties went out last month. This is totally ridiculous, I have used nothing but dyson vacuums for the last 15 years but I will never buy another. For years I have recommended this brand but if they can't even back their products never again & I believe the batteries were made such terrible quality so people have to buy another, it's a scam.. I will switch to Shark & never again deal with dyson! Janetta **

Like many products today, this Dyson DC 23 did not last as long as it should have. It lasted beyond the 5 year warranty but not near as long as my old Kenmore canister vacuum with bag lasted. You pay so much for the looks, but not the longevity. I tried to have it repaired by Dyson. Support told me they do not make parts for it so offered me a 20% discount instead, but only on non sales items. I'm sorry, but the product that would have been comparable was already on sale so basically I'm treated like anyone else. What happened to customer loyalty? Easy, it is not worth it! Not my fault they stopped making parts, but I'm being punished for it. I will go back to Kenmore.

PROS: an extremely good vacuum, very easy to manipulate, very easy to clean, many attachments. NEG: Very heavy, attachments are almost impossible to use. The attachments are connected to an accordion type hose which is enclosed in the handle. It is very stiff to extend and when you hook an attachment to it it contracts to its original length and stiffness. The shortened length allows only about 6 - 8" of use. I am a big man and even I find it very cumbersome and extremely difficult to have it remain in its upright position.

Terrible from the start! No help with warranty. 300 dollar piece of junk Dyson ball multi floor. Never again will I purchase a dyson a product. Read the warranty carefully. I made a the mistake of trusting a company would be honest and take a defective product back but not this one. They want to charge me for parts when there is no damage. The brush doesn't spin and I have to clean up behind it with a broom. It has no suction and when it does it falls out slowly.

I wanted to retract my previous review as in the end Dyson did resolve the issue and we appreciate that.

Trying to empty the dirt out of the snap on tub for waste took me a half-hour and then after I put it back together the suction would not seal enough to vacuum! This was $500.00! Not worth the hassle! The batteries on my hand held and stick vacuum don’t last long enough for one job! I purchased 4 Dyson products believing they were the best! WRONG... problems with ALL of them! I had to go buy a cheaper vacuum which is a quarter of the price and it works better! Don’t believe the commercials. I will never recommend these products to anyone!

We just bought not one but two big ball Dyson canister vacs from Macy’s and if I could return them, I would! Brand new, the canister won’t stay close so when you remove it to empty it, it dumps the dirt all over the inside of the ball and the floor. Never buy DYSON. They are overpriced junk.

The spinning brush head (called trigger head by Dyson) has failed 4 times!!! Poorly engineered. They replaced it 3 times in a 5 year period! I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy another Dyson product again!!!

I own a full size Dyson vacuum as well as a hand held. I used to love their products, but because of my latest experience with them, I will never buy a Dyson product again. My handheld Dyson stopped working after 3 years. The warranty covers two year, but when you are paying $400 for a handheld vacuum, you would expect it to last longer than that. I received no help whatsoever. I tried fixing it on my own by ordering a charger, which when I received it turned out not to be the issue. I thought no problem, I'll just return it for a refund.

I have only owned my Dyson for nearly 2 years, but it is already bin material. I have done all the recommended maintenance. The problem is that it can't cope with long hair. What vacuum cleaner can't vacuum up hair? I spend as much time cleaning out the swivel head as I do actually vacuuming. I have contacted Dyson for support, but they have said it is a known problem but there is nothing they can do. Please DO NOT buy one of these machines.

Bought this machine in May 2018, used for 1/2 of year since I am a Snowbird. Needed new battery one year later. Product is used occasionally for household cleaning. Total usage is less than one year. Was advised today that this product needs a new motor. Said they would give me a deal, 20% off list, at nearly $200. Told them I would not like to purchasing a motor for a product that did not last a year of service when I can put $200 toward a new or competitive product at nearly that price. Loved this product when it works. Dislike how Dyson "backs up" its product. BUYER BEWARE!!!

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER BUY A DYSON PRODUCT. I purchased my first and last Dyson V6 Animal 1 1/2 years ago, and the motor blew at no fault of my own. I assumed with how much Dyson products cost that it would be a quality product and would not break after such a short time, but I understand things happen. I was sent a replacement motor under warranty. When I reassembled the vacuum it did not fit together properly nor did it fix the problem. Called customer service. Was told I was sent the wrong part! I would have to return the part to them and they would send me the correct one. Never got confirmation another was coming. Got the runaround every second of the way.

$689 dollar vacuum useless after 6 years. Worst purchase ever. Hose broke. Doesn't hold suction. Container broke. Totally pathetic. I am a normal consumer with normal wear and tear on a vacuum for a small home. My original Electrolux lasted 25 years by comparison. Dyson's customer service is a joke, call them and they try to make you feel like an idiot and say you're the problem not their vacuum. For the amount of money I spent on this vacuum I would expect MUCH BETTER quality. Seriously stay away from this company. At this point, I need to use tape and bungee cords to hold the canister to the unit, and to hold the canister to a connection point to try to make this miserable investment actually work. Pathetic quality for a vacuum that cost $689.

I love my Dyson! I have vacation rentals and 2 homes I can’t say enough about. The first Dyson I bought I went thru all the other name brands on the market. I’d use them a couple of months and give them away. I finally broke down and bought a Dyson. Been in love ever since. Won’t buy anything else... Now that I’ve said that I was in a condo the other day and it had a Dyson with a ball.... I HATED IT! If Dyson quits making the Dc33 and goes to that I’ll have to find another vacuum. It was awful to maneuver. I was wore out by the time I was thru. I’ll NEVER own one of those! Since I used that one I’ve found out all the people I know that don’t like their Dyson owns the one with the ball, I know why now!

This vacuum is great when it is working properly. I have had it for three years and am having the head replaced for the third time right now. The repair guy said it has been months since replacements have been sent out. I don't know how true that is, but they have have several waiting parts in the shop. I really want to give this five stars because it is great suction and deep cleans, but it just breaks too often. Five repairs in three years is a bit much.

Purchased Dyson slim ball origin vacuum - very disappointed. Vacuum seems to have choke points where small ports are continually plugged. Also doesn't seem to want to pick up off of hard surface floors. Contacted Dyson - they said their engineer said vacuum more often. Really? I think once a day is plenty. When it comes to customer service I think this is where Clark Howard might say customer no service. Extremely disappointed in the vacuum - extremely disappointed in customer service. This was a brand new vacuum - money wasted.

Cleans well - but many easily broken, very expensive parts - no real service help- employees even said poor design and apologized that it would cost so much to fix after spending big dollars to purchase. Example - simple 2" plastic clip to hold electrical cord broke and costs $40.

I bought into the marketing not once but twice. These are the worst vacuums! They definitely progressively lose suction. It won’t even pick up thread!!!! I constantly have to take it apart & look for clogs. The replacement parts are ridiculously expensive. Never again. My Mom has a 40-year-old Vacuum from Sears that does a better job. Dyson! - never again.

We love our Dyson. We have had our smaller upright for around 5 or 6 years. It is lightweight, you can see all what has been picked up, very easy to empty out and get cleaning again. You need to empty it more, for it is a smaller vacuum of theirs, so it doesn't have a bag. It has a front basket to empty. We just empty it out more often, so not big deal. It does an awesome job on carpet, ceramic, tile and stone flooring. Whenever I decide I need a new vacuum, I will pick another Dyson. You cannot go wrong with that brand.

Portability is great. Could use a little longer battery life. Cleaning instructions could be better. Partially bought because of the brand name and is known for innovative products. Brand started, or seemed to, a new industry design phase replacing the traditional look.

Awesome when it runs. After a year of use it gets clogged easily. I still like it. Hangs on the wall so takes up less space. I bought the one for pets. We have a shepherd that sheds a lot so I suppose there is a good reason for clogging.

Stain vacuums are ahead of their time. A bit on the pricey side. But you do get what to pay for. I have a V8 cordless now. This is my second Dyson. I have a V6 and had no problems selling it second hand. Dyson has a no-hassle warranty. I have had to contact them twice now. They resolved the issue and sent out the replacement part at no cost to me. The second call, the vacuum was just past its two-year warranty and Dyson still looked after me and sent a replacement part at no cost. So if you purchase a Dyson, you have no worries as they stand behind their name. The Vacuums work amazing! So much we have purchased other Dyson products!

I have the smallest upright ball Dyson and got it on a great discount when it was discontinued. It doesn't pick up quite as good as the larger ones and has a small container, but has worked fine. You have to remember to clean all of the filters though or it won't pick up well.

I have a Dyson Animal 2 vacuum. It’s a great vacuum. The suction power is the same as it was the day I bought it. It takes a lot of abuse and keeps going. The only problem my wife have with the unit she says it’s a bit too heavy to carry from one floor to another. I must say they have great customer service whenever the vacuum gets blocked up. I carry it in and they serve it and give it back to me within a few minutes at no charge.

I just love Dyson products. They are the best around. I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner about 6 months ago. It is the best thing you could ask for. I recommend it to family and friends and coworkers.

It’s great and compact. Removes all messes pretty quickly. Easy to store because it is small and comes with a wall hanger. I love all the sleek looks and colors. Although it is loud, like most vacuums, I would buy again.

This is my second and last Dyson. For the cost it should work and the switch to operate the hard floor from carpet hasn't worked correctly since I bought it. Customer service was useless. Should have returned it while still under warranty. #Neveranotherdyson

We live in Northern Ontario & Dyson does not provide service here. We have had the unit fail, no brush & then no suction. It is too bad, since we accepted Dyson's sales pitch & it worked for about 1 1/2 years. When it was operational it was good. We are trying to give it away w/o any success. We have bought a Bissell battery powered unit & are very pleased. The Bissell is a fraction of the cost of our Dyson. We have learned a valuable lesson in that our trust in advertising has plummeted. Dyson can contact me & maybe turn this around, but I doubt that I will hear from them. They pocketed my money & then became non-available.

We have the top of the line Dyson from about 3 years ago and I love it. We have two cats and it really picks up the hair. My only complaint, is that the hose is very difficult to get to stretch out to reach objects that are high up [ex.: the cornice on the living room drapes]. Overall I highly recommend a Dyson to anyone who wants a clean home.

Very good vacuum but easily becomes inoperable at times due to foreign body... pet hairs, etc. getting stuck in the roller. Sometimes it fails to charge properly. New generations come out frequently with no option to upgrade the older versions. I.e. battery life. It would be excellent if it were possible to purchase longer life batteries.

Picks up everything, never loses suction capacity; company periodically have you bring it back for inspection at no cost to you. Any repairs or defects found are taken care of at that time, again at no cost to you.

This vacuum meets all of the ad claims and is a very fine machine for the normal household needs for a vacuum. I would recommend this vacuum for any household even a family with a lot of children and pets.

It's a great vacuum, it does the job. I have lots of pets and 2 kids so I'm constantly cleaning with it. Really is great and I'm happy I chose this vacuum. I think you will be too. Very easy to clean as well.

I am on my second Dyson. Not because the first quit working, just because I wanted a new one. Now I have 1 for each end of the house. They are a little expensive, but I am happy with their performance. Last vacuum I bought before my Dyson didn't last 2 years.

I got the v6 Animal for 1/2 off for a refurbished model. Came with the same warranty as a new one and works just great. Was fully packaged with accessories as a new one also. Would not have spent twice the price for a Dyson. But it is a very good machine.

Has very low suction power. Doesn’t work in corners or on edges. Especially when using hand tools suction is extremely low. Battery life is excellent but performance is lacking. It is very convenient to grab quickly. It is messy and cumbersome to clean but fairly easy. I have purchased another vac to use for weekly cleaning and reserved this cordless for grab and clean quickly.

Ernie's lots of dust. Very loud. Extremely heavy. Hard to push when it's on thick carpet. I've replaced and cleaned the filters several times but still get way too much dust. Seems like very good quality but not sure if it's worth the price.

We spent a lot on this vacuum but I don’t think it is worth the price tag. I could have spent less for a vacuum with the same or better sucking power. The way vacuums are made today there are some good deals with much better prices.

This machine does a very good job cleaning, however the design of the head is too big to fit under coffee tables, around and between chair legs. The hose is conveniently long but if you don't have something to block the machine in place the extra length of the hose is useless since extending it is impossible without holding on to part of the hose.

I like the vacuum except for the issue of trying to make it stand upright. It takes a couple tries to make it stand on its own. It’s frustrating when you think you’ve stood it up and it falls over. Otherwise, I like the vacuum's performance and appearance.

Battery model 800. Powerful... maneuvers to do corners and under chairs and sofas. Easy to remove the dust/dirt cup. Holds charge for 20-25 minutes... less if vacuuming only carpet. Has ability to use on all surfaces. Tool kit adds to flexibility of this unit.

Great suction, long cord on the upright. Moves well with good pivot. The hose is a good length and very easy to put on the attachments. I also have the optional dog grooming attachment for brushing and sucking up fur. Very easy to empty and the filters are washable so it saves money in the long run. Also, the rechargeable stick vac is amazing. Great portability and excellent suction. Long lasting charge. The attachments are very versatile.

I absolutely love that I have the cordless Dyson. It is also much lighter than most v. cleaners, this is such a plus. It has two settings. On the stronger one it cleans really well. I only wish it would last longer and that when left for a minute it could stand on its own. Have to be careful because it can fall and cause the top canister to break.

We have the Dyson cordless V6. I really have only one issue with the vacuum cleaner and that is it only runs for a 15 minute maximum before you must charge it again. Therefore, since our home is 2400 ft.² I cannot possibly clean thoroughly on one charge. That being said, the cost certainly does not equate to a reasonable length of usability. I definitely would not recommend it unless you had a small apartment or home.

The Dyson cordless clogs up constantly and does not pick up well. It is lightweight and does ok for just a quick vacuum. However, I am very disappointed in its performance overall. Way overpriced for the performance it provides. The collection cup does not dump out entirely and I have to use a screwdriver to reach into it and get stuff out. I am going to go back to using an old $50.00 vacuum for more thorough cleaning. I would not recommend this vacuum.

The main problem is the battery. At first the battery would last about 20 minutes. Afterwards, the battery would hold its charge less and less. Now, after 18 months, the motor of the vacuum cleaner only spurts even with the battery fully charged. The model is Dyson V6 Slim and is totally useless for the moment. Is the battery the only problem?

Cordless is always a pro, good design. I'm using a V7 Dyson for one year without any issue. The only con is the size of the trash canister, but I think that the size was increased in recently models.

This was an investment to use on my hardwood floors. The pros are that it is lightweight, fits under furniture easily. The cons are many - charge lasts for 20 minutes, canister has to be emptied multiple times since it is small, it is expensive and not very solid, easily getting clogged. I would not purchase again.

This is by far the best vac I have ever purchased. I have hard and carpet floors and 3 dogs. You literally do not even have to be right by the hair on the floor and this vacuum will suck it up. It can be a little clunky, depending on the version you buy. In fact, one that I did purchase was a smaller model (didn't know it at the time) and that one, unfortunately, was not a good investment, as the canister filled up much quick than the full size models and I ended up getting a different vacuum. Other than the smaller versions, Dyson Rocks!

I had this vacuum for two years when it finally quit on me. I called Dyson who said that It was apparently the motor, but that’s not the only problem when you think of it overall. In order to clean this machine it takes approximately half an hour just to get it apart and clean it. Then you have to let all the parts dry, preferably overnight, and put it back together again the next day! You need a college degree to figure it out. Each time I cleaned it, Which they say you should do once a month, I had to watch a YouTube video. It is the worst in that aspect, and I would never buy another one again. Who wants to spend all that time just cleaning it out?! A waste of time.
