Seriously, buy another vacuum! Worst customer service ever. No resolution. They strung me along until my warranty ran out so they didn’t have to replace the vacuum. Wasted hours of my life on hold. Not worth spending $700 for a vacuum that you can’t even get serviced afterwards.

BEWARE, you may receive a fancy vacuum, hair dryer, or an air cleaner but you will NEVER get CUSTOMER SUPPORT! If you have an account problem or technical issue or even just a simple question, good luck because you are on your own! In other words, the phone number for Customer Support is useless, Chat support is useless, they only repeat what's on the manual.

I loved the design and compactness of the Dyson cordless Multifloor vacuum. Believing in the brand name (probably due to its high budget advertising campaign it turns out) I bought one for myself and for each of my children. Each of these units experienced the exact same problem; a battery that cut out after 10 seconds of use. The power button had to continuously be pressed on many, many times in order to achieve 2 minutes of total vacuum time. This was not due to a dirty filter as is often cited on community websites. The battery was very poorly designed and ended up failing just out of warranty. Dyson Customer Service was not much help offering only to replace the battery at a reduced price. Very poor product that is not strongly backed by Dyson. many far superior options available in this same design at about 1/4 the cost and 10 times the quality. Will not buy and Dyson product again.

We bought a Dyson vacuum in January 2022, with a 5 year warranty. In August of 2023 the vacuum it began to a funny sound when in use. We were sent a replacement "main body" is what they called it. It included the motor portion, the problem was that the model had been discontinued and the vacuum would come on but the rollers no longer rolled to pick up dirt when in use. We contacted Dyson again, and were told to send the entire vacuum, which we did. We never were contacted so we reached out to find out the status and were told that the entire vacuum was not received. Huh? Why would keep pieces of a vacuum that doesn't even work. Luckily we had retained the UPS shipping label that had the weight of the package when weighed before shipping. The vacuum weighs 7 pounds. The receipt was for a 9 pound package which included the entire vacuum cleaner some packing materials (paper) and the box itself.
Every time we call we are told the problem is being escalated and that there should be a resolution in 24 - 72 hours, We have been told that same thing 4 times now. On top of that, every time we call and speak to someone it is as if there are no notes from the previous calls. Every call is the first call apparently. At this point we are convinced that Dyson wants us to forget about the issue and just leave it alone. I will never buy another dyson product and would never recommend them to another consumer ever. If I could give negative stars I would.

I would have to say that the service is less than a 1 rating. I contacted the company about may less than a couple months old vacuum not working. We did troubleshooting and video chat. They told me I would get the replacement part sent out. Got an email thought everything was good. Fast forward to today I’ve been on hold for 35 min and then hung up on waiting for the manager. It’s been 8 months no vacuum or call back. Worst service ever.

Dyson used to produce a great vacuum cleaner. We purchased a DC-17 when we bought our home in 2008. I took time to research a good unit as my wife has asthma and allergies. I wanted to ensure it would do its job well. When I needed parts the staff were helpful and the warranty was great. It has done that and it continues to do so but it has become very noisy due to the bearings in the motor/drive wearing out. I attempted to contact Dyson to maybe swap out the worn parts but they discontinued the DC-17. Since then I have started looking for a new unit.
I have ruled out Dyson completely for several reasons: The idea of a cordless vacuum for a home is just not efficient. Batteries will give out long before the vacuum life is over. The Lithium-ion batteries are expensive to replace and just do not last. When I vacuum the house the last thing I want to do is have to stop part of the way through and wait for it to charge. I had also read reviews of the ball type plug-in units, there are many poor reviews. I had the opportunity to try one for the first time at a home we stayed at. The reviews were accurate.
The new units components have been cheapened. To get the ball head to stand on its own takes several tries and still wants to tumble. I went to empty it and it wouldn't open; When I finally was able to undo the catch it nearly went all over me. The piece that aligns with the release button is very thin and looks like it would break easily. The unit still provided good suction but overall it was troublesome to use. I really enjoyed the DC-17, but it appears that Dyson has gone the way of many companies that started out strong and then tried to cut costs and increase profit.

Bought the Dyson V11 Christmas of 2023. Six months later the bin would not close. Wrote customer support and no one answered for a month. I wrote another letter claiming how bad the service is and that you have my money and no customer service. Within two days I received an email and had to show them the issue with the bin. The rep said, "Okay we’ll send you a new one. It’s on back order," that was over two months ago. Wrote another letter stating how bad the service was. They got back to me and offered a replacement vacuum. I said, "Yes that’s great" but that took over two weeks. I have my new vacuum and hopefully this $700.00 vacuum will last.

Their customer service is the worst I have EVER experienced. I purchased a vacuum from them, the battery went out within 6 months. Spent hours talking to customer service and they said they would replace it but it was out of stock. They said it would be in within 2 weeks. THREE MONTHS LATER it came in. They don't replace it automatically, I have to spend more hours on the phone re-discussing the problem because there appears to be absolutely no record of the previous conversations with customer service. They won't replace it for me and they have been completely unhelpful. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

They received it and I contacted them several times and they told me to wait for a refund. After 25 days they say that the package was empty. I still haven't received the money back. I purchased Dyson 11 last October. In June, it started pulsating often on sporadically at first and then more and more as the months went on. I thought it best to call and we had a video call and they figured out that my motor had gone and that they were going to, “send me a new one”. It’s been six weeks and I keep getting the same response every time I talk to someone “be patient we email you when your part comes in” every single time. It’s the same thing at this point I have to buy a new vacuum, but I’ll tell you it won’t be a Dyson because I don’t trust them to even deliver the part. It doesn’t bring me joy to write this review I don’t ever do this but sadly I am at wit's end. Unprofessional, lack of service, lack of commitment, doesn’t seem to be any Pride in the product or the people overseeing it.!

They are unreliable and I have to keep calling them to find out what is happening. They keep saying how they understand how I feel, etc. but NEVER do anything! I am the one who has to keep calling. Today I even spoke with a so called supervisor who assured me they would be sending a confirmation email about my new vacuum and still no email! They also said it would take 15 business days to get the new one, which is a very long time but not only that it have now been about 60 days! NEVER BUY A DYSON.

My cleaner head broke off and I called Dyson to see if I can get a replacement of the cleaner head only. The customer service representative tells me they don’t have that in stock and that I should mail the whole Vacuum to them and they will ship me an upgraded model. I ship it back, and then 45 days go by with 8 calls to customer service each time spending 1 hour telling me that the replacement is about to be shipped. Just wait 48 hrs to get the email. Eventually I ask to speak to a supervisor who tells me my item is not in warranty and so they will send me a downgraded refurbished version that is several hundred dollars less than what I purchased. I’m still waiting for that to come but I’m sure I’m not going to be happy with the replacement. Would have never mailed back my better version had I known I wouldn’t get the same or better version back. Terrible customer service, will never buy a Dyson product again. Stay away!

This company is the WORST I've ever dealt. From product to customer service. All incompetent. My original vacuum had internal issues - when I reached out they told me I need a new 'main cyclone' but it is out of stock and I need to enable notifications for when it's back in stock/check back in 1-2 weeks. 2.5 weeks goes by with no notification, I called, they said there's no news for when it should be back. Since I still had warranty, they suggested I mail them my original vacuum, once received they will ship out a refurbished model.
I did exactly that and they received it within the week but they did not ship the refurbished one. Instead I got an empty box...? I 've been on about 10 chats, in which they've closed on me multiple times, and called them 8 times now (probably a total of 10 hours of my time) just for them to tell me it hasn't been shipped yet. They told me I'd get a tracking # in 24-48 hours. 4 days goes by with nothing. I call again and they said there was a 'processing' error and I'll receive a new tracking in 24-72 hours. This has gone on for 4-5 weeks now and I still don't have my tracking # or vacuum. An absolute JOKE of a multi-billion company. Disgrace. I'll never buy a Dyson product again or waste my time with that incompetent company.

Horrendous customer service. I wish I had never purchased a Dyson vacuum. Not impressed with the overall quality and design of the vacuum, to make things worse, the vacuum started malfunctioning 7 months after purchase. I reached out to Dyson (I purchased the vacuum directly from Dyson) to get a replacement, their silly solution was to ship the faulty vacuum over to them and then once they received it, they would ship a replacement, the whole process will take about 20 business days (basically a month), and they think it is perfectly fine to be 1 month without a vacuum, with a dog and a newborn in the house. Outrageous.
I asked for my money back so I could just get rid of this crap and shift to a different brand, they said they could not give me my money back even though the product is crap. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the horrendous customer service they have. I thought their products were #1 quality but after reading reviews online I have found a lot of consistency in the deplorable customer service and quality of products. I will make sure I share my experience with everyone I can and on every forum possible to avoid other people going through this nightmare.

I contacted Dyson within 30 days and I was told they would send a new canister, and to date they have not. So I asked to return the unit. Dyson ignored my email. So I did a chargeback, their response was; "They will send a return label after I do a reversal of the chargeback". I told Dyson I will not cancel the chargeback because they've ignored my previous requests for help, and I have no doubt I wouldn't see a return label if I did a reversal. I reached out again through Facebook messaging and that was just as useless, I received a response that made zero sense! Bottom line, stay away from this company!!!

Although the vacuum was still covered under a limited warranty, I do not trust that the cheaply made plastic parts on the replacement unit they are supposed to send will fare any better. I wasted one and a half hours on the help chat with a customer service representative. Individual was unaware of company return policies, wanted me to just send vacuum back to Dyson via UPS with NO BOX! UPS did find this amusing when they came to retrieve the plastic waste of money. Terrible customer service and even lied. I called re “under warranty” product. Was told they can't fix so I had to send my unit in and they would send me a replacement but, they did not have a white one so they would send me a better model in white. I had to send mine in first. I did. 3 weeks later I got my replacement. Was black and inferior model. When I called, I was told it was an TP-10 which is not as good as the TP-7. When I advised the customer service of that and that it was black not white He hung up after 15 wasted minutes.
I called back and the next person was better but, he said the previous person was wrong what they shipped me was not a TP-10 but a H-07 which is better than the T-07 but, they don’t make a white Silver in Canada so I would have to live with that. Lied. I requested a supervisor 3 times.. Eventually when I advised him I could buy it on Amazon and have it here tomorrow, he found the White Silver. They agreed to replace it but, I still have to send old one back before they ship the new replacement so another 3 weeks. What terrible customer service. And an hour and 10 minutes to resolve.

I went through all of the troubleshooting alone and with a tech person from Dyson. They replaced the head. Worked for two months. Died. Didn't have time to address, so no vacuum for a while. Then troubleshot, troubleshot with tech, new head, worked. Died within two or three months. Third time around. I did my own troubleshooting (as I have the process memorized). The tech wanted me to go through everything AGAIN with her (not her fault, she was kind - just doing her job based upon the rules she is beholden to -) and I finally said no. I bought the Dyson Complete Long Air Wrap in March of 2024. Within 2 months it stopped working all together after maybe 10-15 uses. After waiting for over a month for what was supposed to be 7 days, I got a brand new air wrap in the mail. (Which they also did not send out any confirmation of receiving, shipping, or delivering this $600 product. So it was just sitting on my porch for hours when it finally arrived).
I went to go plug the new one in and no power, it did not work. Called customer service and asked if a refund was at all possible to which they said no. I asked what happens if they keeps happening and was informed I am only allowed 3 exchanges a year only WHEN the machine is under warranty (so 2 years), and that I would get a discount coupon (20% off) to buy a new product if it stops working after 2 years. I would NEVER buy from Dyson again. I am very upset that I did not investigate more into this known issue with the air wrap prior to purchasing.

Hi guys I spent over 1.5 hours in chat with techs today and surprised at the end result. First let’s start off with our vacuum animal ball this was purchased from Lowes about 4 years ago. It has already been sent back to you guys to fix it, Once again we have the same problem so that tells me it was not fixed properly and there is a problem with quality. Now the price we paid for a higher end vacuum, the company should stand behind their product but in this case I fail to see it.
The agent at first couldn’t get anything registered because you guys had a tech issue, okay I get that, then when I text back a few hours later still not fixed. Okay no problem. Then I try later in the afternoon and the agent can get it registered this time and we are chatting over an hour (while I am at work) and then he starts to get it ready to send back and anther tech issue which he can’t get the return label or something to that effect. He then goes on to tell me there are 2 returns facilities, 1 in Ontario and 1 in Calgary. We are over 2 hours away from Calgary and he suggest I take it to them. Well that’s great I need 4 hours of a day just to drive up and back.
Then he also tells me we will be responsible for any work completed and the cost we are to bear, no I find that rather interesting as it is the same problem as before that was never fixed properly. Had it been we would not be here right now. So in saying they fixed it would a new warranty from the date of fix not apply? The only reasonable answer would be yes, but once again customer loyalty as no bearing.
I also run a business and I always put my customers first but in this case it seems you are more interested in money than fixing and standing behind your product. I will await your response and solution to fix this once again or we would entertain a credit towards a new one perhaps. FYI I have since purchased one of your competitor's vacuums at a fraction of the price and it is working very well.

The 2nd one was the roller ball Animal version, again basically when those were first introduced, that one last 1 year then broke. I got annoyed and bought a cheap vacuum from Walmart and that one lasted about 2 years (1 year more) then my husband bought me one of the cordless Dysons. We wanted to give it another chance, sometimes you just get unlucky right? Nope, we used this for about 1 year in our house for small clean-ups as it's horrible on rugs and now currently use it in our RV, for literally a tiny little space to clean maybe 1x every 2 weeks and it rarely works. In today’s economy, and with the cost of goods almost doubling, companies must offer excellent customer service and be truthful and upfront about their policies. Dyson, now a 20 billion dollar company, lies about all their machines coming with a hassle-free warranty. The truth is that it is nothing but a hassle. They cannot replace your device without you sending it to them, and once they receive it, you wait 7 to 14 days until they process said return. The customer service reps said that even if you offer to put your credit card on hold until they receive your device, it is impossible for them to send you a replacement. In the meantime, you go without the product even if the support reps tell you differently; their lack of training and understanding of their processes will leave you hostage to their policies. Their so-called repair or replacement and ongoing support are subpar at best.
With a lack of parts, a ten-dollar item backorder without an ETA will require a complete replacement, leaving you without your appliance for over three weeks. One has to ask how they think this would be hassle-free. Despite customer Service Manager Miriam’s promise to personally ensure a return phone call the next business day, two weeks later, she has seemingly disappeared, never to be heard from again. Customer Service Manager Marvin, who called from a number that was flagged as a spam caller on my cell, left a message asking me to call back and ask for him by name. However, when I did, the Customer Service Rep dismissed my request, stating it wasn’t possible. They assured me a Customer Service Manager would call me back within 24 hours. To my disappointment, it never happened!
After an hour on the phone waiting for a Customer Service Manager, Customer Service Rep Joseph said that the manager is now choosing to go to lunch and will need to call me back. I had no call back and now it is the next day. To add insult to injury, this morning, UPS reported the device sent by Dyson: "Damage Reported All merchandise is missing, and the empty carton was discarded. UPS will notify the sender." Parsippany, NJ, United States. I can't believe the dysfunction of this organization.
Dyson's BBB rating is 1.1 out of 5; this is far different from the company that, for years, was proud to provide all warrantied repairs, including all labor and parts necessary to ensure your product is in proper operating condition during the warranty period. They will leave you without your appliance for longer than they indicate. Please do yourself a favor and call their support number before ordering Dyson products. Ask yourself if you can afford two of the said devices because if you have an issue, you will be left holding your breath until you pass out. After a total of 12 hours on the phone, almost three weeks later, and 5 support members lying to me, I still do not have my $1000.00 device. The one thing Dyson is consistent about is lying to the customers and their warranty is nothing but a hassle.

I have called, emailed, chatted with customer service reps that either do not understand, or refuse to, or disconnect from the call when I am being professional. Replacement parts are excessively expensive and they keep breaking because of the cheap plastic. The concept is great, but the quality is cheap. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Now the filter get clogged with dust and it is so hard to get the center of the canister container to rub dust off so hopefully it will start correctly suction the floor again. There is no way the filter can sustain the long term. This model is so much harder to get apart to find clogs. This was a feature I loved with my first vacuum. They think it's the battery (not so sure it's the trigger switch either). They eventually ship out a battery. Two weeks later I call and they have shipped it to another state. I give them my address again (they even read it back to me). Two weeks later no battery. Call and call, eventually get someone and they say they have to open an investigation to figure out why they can't get my shipping correct. I live in a normal city with no special address. The representative says she has to email the other dept and they have to respond, she says she will call within 24 -48 hours. No call.
I call back to see what is going on, they say the same thing and I will have to wait 24-48 hours to find out anything. After a hour on hold I get a "supervisor". He claims the "investigation" will take up to 30 days to figure out their problems. I told them your shipping dept problems are not your customers, he said there is nothing he could do but send me a battery I would pay for at a reduced cost. That's not a warranty ... Ridiculous customer service! I will never buy a Dyson product again based on their terrible customer service.

I purchased a Dyson V10 less than a year ago through Bed Bath and Beyond, before they announced they filed for Chapter 11. I received it and it worked ok, until the battery failed about 8 months later. I called bed bath and beyond and got Overstock.com who told me they purchased what was remaining of bed bath and beyond with the sale complete. They would not warranty the product telling me to call Dyson. I called dyson several times and jumped through hoops trying to get someone on the phone. They finally confirmed it was the battery pack and said they would ship a new one out. It took several weeks until I received one just to find out it was the wrong battery pack. I again went through a lot to get someone on the phone, just for them to tell me that they could no longer get the correct battery pack. They offered to ship me an upgrade V11, but not until I shipped back the V10, one good thing is they sent me a pre-purchased shipping label.
I waited another 4-5 weeks to receive the V11 just to find the main body of the vacuum, filters and chamber was missing out of the box. I called again and again went through several calls before I got someone on the phone. The first person has me go through the showing of the box and said she believed only the main body of the vacuum was missing. I asked that she send me a pre-paid shipping label because I was not confident I had the rest of the parts. She said she was confident, I pressed further about shipping the whole thing back and getting a whole new boxed vacuum. I continue to push on shipping the one received and she convinced me I would get the parts quicker than going my desired route. I reluctantly agreed since my church was without a vacuum for now going on 2 months.
Fast forward I just was on the phone again looking for the parts that I was told would take a week, just to be told that they did not have any notes on the case file that anything was being shipped. Now I was on the phone with this second person regarding the V11 for over an hour straight. She said she couldn't have what I had shipped back because they needed the serial number which is on the main body of the vacuum. She gave me another case number and order number and said I should receive the parts within 5 days. Let's hope she shipped me all the parts needed. Moral of the story, it is not worth purchasing a dyson, their customer service needs a complete overhaul and their warehouse quality controls are subpar.

Vacuum suction is very good. Able to adjust to floor surface height is a plus. Additional cord length is great and a needed change. However, that is where my love affair stops. When suction is at its lowest, vacuum handle can break if floor surface changes and the adjustment isn't made. When emptying the canister, canister falls off carrier because it isn't stable. Older vacuum worked better. The second click to hold the vacuum upright fails most of the time. Vacuum falls and canister holding dirt/debris opens and spills. Because of the increased suction, vacuum ball isn't able to move the direction of the vacuum causing additional stress on the handle. Should be a better vacuum for the price.

I had high hopes for Dyson when I shelled out a whopping $600 for their cordless vacuum, expecting a reliable and durable cleaning companion. However, after a mere three years of use, my enthusiasm has been replaced with frustration and regret. The first glaring issue arose when the power button on my Dyson cordless vacuum suddenly decided to call it quits. In a baffling turn of events, Dyson's customer service displayed a level of indifference that I didn't think was possible. Despite my pleas for assistance, I was informed that my model had been discontinued, and Dyson had washed their hands of any responsibility.
If that's not bad enough, they informed me that even if I were to send the malfunctioning vacuum back to them at my own expense, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. So much for Dyson being environmentally friendly – apparently, they'd rather see their products end up in landfills than take responsibility for faulty devices.
But wait, the horror story doesn't end there. My Dyson canister vacuum, a separate purchase that set me back considerably, decided to join the rebellion against functionality after a mere nine years. When I reached out to Dyson with hopes that they would show some compassion or offer a solution, I was met with the same disinterested response. "Sorry, we can't do anything about that either."
So here I am, stuck with two useless Dyson vacuums and a gaping hole in my wallet. Dyson's customer service is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever experienced. It's ironic that a company priding itself on innovation and cutting-edge technology would fall so short in basic customer support. Save yourself the disappointment and invest your hard-earned money elsewhere; Dyson's vacuums are not worth the exorbitant prices or the headaches that come with them.

Subject: Extremely Disappointed with Dyson Canada's Service. I recently purchased a Dyson vacuum for over $1400, hoping for a high-quality product and top-notch customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. The vacuum, which I returned due to performance issues—specifically, water leaking on the floor when using the submarine mop head—has turned into a nightmare. Dyson claims they never received the return at their warehouse, rendering me ineligible for a refund. This is despite providing evidence, including a DoorBird camera picture showing the item being picked up from my doorstep.
For the past three months, I've been caught in a frustrating cycle of calls with Dyson's customer service, each lasting over 2 or 3 hours. Their responses have consistently been, "We got your return; it's in the inspection process. Once completed, we'll proceed with your refund." Now, they conveniently state that they didn't receive my return, contradicting the evidence I've provided. This level of poor customer service is unacceptable for a company of Dyson's stature. I feel utterly disappointed and frustrated with the lack of resolution despite my efforts and cooperation. The way they've treated a customer who spent a significant amount is beyond disheartening.
I want to caution potential customers to be vigilant when dealing with Dyson. Keep extensive proof of your orders and returns—consider video recordings during the handover to Dyson courier services, noting the pickup person's name and requesting photo identification. My intention is to share this honest feedback to spare others from encountering similar problems in the future. In summary, my experience with Dyson Canada has been a regrettable waste of $1400, and I sincerely hope others don't have to go through the same ordeal.

I have always considered Dyson products to be superior to others in the market. However, my recent experience with Dyson has left me utterly disappointed. It seems like Dyson is simply a product with an impressive exterior but a lemon on wheels. My order for HP04 was placed in the first week of November, but upon opening the box, I received the wrong product. Despite contacting customer service immediately, I was given the runaround and promised a replacement that never arrived. After several failed attempts to receive my order, I informed them that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That's when the escalation department took over my case and made more promises of sending the machine. However, the product I received today is non-functional.
It's unacceptable for Dyson to put out these inferior products and make such careless mistakes. As a customer, I deserve better. I plan to take action and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau today. It’s an upfront to consumers to be defrauded into paying top dollar for an “innovative “and “quality” product. I have purchased four different Dyson vacuums over the years. They do a very good job of cleaning but definitely have their issues and limitations. I won't go into that; this rating is strictly about their customer service and warranty servicing. The cleaning head on one vacuum needed replacing and this was handled via online chat, phone conversations, and email.
They claimed the part was out of stock and they would notify when it became available. The part never became available despite being widely available online at many sites. In the intervening SIX MONTHS without the part ever shipping from them, the vacuum developed additional issues. A new warranty claim led Dyson to conclude the vacuum needed to be replaced. This was actually quite a relief since we were almost at the end of the warranty. They provided a reference number, and all I was required to do was take the vacuum to a UPS shipping store and they would handle the packaging and shipping. Amazingly simple.
Shipping took about 3 days and I was instructed "Once we receive your machine at the warehouse, it takes 1-2 business days for the inspection of the machine. And ship a new exchange machine, it will take 10-14 business days for the exchange process. Once it gets shipped you will receive an email with tracking details". It's been three full weeks and I've sent numerous messages inquiring about the replacement. Today I finally received a response asking for the tracking number for my shipment. I have already provided that info to them when I shipped the vacuum and again once I was notified by UPS the vacuum had arrived.
The customer service for Dyson is abysmal. No matter how good a product you have, and whether you claim to stand behind it, if the customers can't get resolution to issues you aren't doing it right. I still have an older DC50 that also has a broken cleaning head, to the point it's unusable. Dyson shows this part as unavailable on their website but I found it on Amazon, eBay, numerous other sites, including another vacuum store. I have ordered the part and will receive it long before Dyson even answers my latest email about the warranty claim on our other vacuum.

It blistered and skinned off my finger from prolonged hold. Then another time, while disconnecting the floor attachment, my finger got caught on the swivel ball, pinched it and caused a blood blister that bled like crazy. Continued to use it to give it a chance, but wearing gloves this time and still puts a pressure spot on my thumb.
It is also an awkward piece of machine. It's not ergonomically friendly and heavy for my "repaired" shoulder. Battery only lasts 1 hour and 3 hours to charge back. My last email response they used the wrong name and after I specifically stated “do not offer me a discount to purchase a new one, I want mine fixed” they replied offering me a discount. That is their gimmick. Do not fall for it.

Until, it ended up at their service department who not only refused to repair it unless I sent them more money but when I protested and tried to explain to them that I was promised it would be fixed for no charge started making up more stories about my vacuum. Someone trying to use my serial number to order parts from them. And instead, they spent a month trying to make *me* prove that the vacuum belongs to me -- even though my warranty was already registered with them. But now, because I bought this vacuum thru the rewards program at work, they are telling me they won't honor my warranty at all (should I ever actually need it) because they won't "honor warranties that are bought through rewards points". Which is of course insane since my rewards points are the same as cash. It's been a long time since I've had this bad of a customer service experience. But it's definitely one I won't forget. And I'll be sure everyone knows they are terrible and to never purchase anything from them ever.

However, it is now June 6th, and I have not received any further communication from Dyson.

Also there is absolutely no proof that has been provided on Dyson's behalf to support their allegations of me purchasing my machine elsewhere which as a matter of fact I have only purchased two Dyson machines elsewhere and neither of those two were air purifiers and I included the email confirmation from Dyson showing the purchase was made directly through Dyson online as well as directly from in the store (Not to mention the colors of the machines I purchased are exclusively purchased through dyson and not available to purchase anywhere else so that speaks for itself).
I believe this is being dragged out and not actually looked into to properly address what I was told by Dyson Employees which I cannot be held responsible for following their instructions and what they told me to do or expect only to be misled. And only thing I asked for was what I was told I was told I would be provided a TP09 cryptonic formaldehyde air purifier as a courtesy from Dyson due to there being no air purifiers in stock at that time mine stopped working and was still under warranty. And I would still accept that as a resolution as I’m out the air purifier I did in fact purchase from Dyson just like all of my other machines because it makes no sense to buy elsewhere as I’ve been treated with the utmost respect by Dyson up until this most recent encounter where way too many people got involved with a problem that was already being handled by one of your supervisors.
And I never once asked him for the refund amount he said I would be expecting in the mail for the total on the invoice. But we also didn’t anticipate your machines to all be out of stock during the next 7-10 weeks so that was his best resolution for me to be able to go to the dyson demo store who he called and confirmed they had the tp09 in stock and I would have reinvested the money back into your company. And I even went as far as to ask for a store credit if that was easier but apparently was not possible.
I am out a machine I paid for and was promised several outcomes that I accepted by your supervisors of your company who work for and get paid by your company therefore when they make a commitment whether right or wrong it’s not my fault for following their instructions and doing or expecting what I'm told. I cannot be blamed for your representatives' actions because I don't work for dyson. But if they make a promise they don't speak for themselves. They speak on behalf of the whole company and if they’re wrong then they should be the one you're conferring with not telling me incorrect information such as I purchased a machine somewhere else when I did not. And even if I did the warranty would still apply to Dyson the manufacturer. But this is a machine purchased directly from Dyson and was under warranty when the commitments were made by the supervisors who represent and work for dyson.
And if there’s any reason to believe that those individuals were not affiliated whatsoever with dyson or employees of dyson then there should be no question on how to properly and professionally handle this matter especially given the fact my machine has been destroyed in the “Dyson Grave Yard” Already which was another option was I asked for my machine that in the attached I provided was picked up by UPS per the scheduled pick up and was received per confirmation email by dyson less than a week later. And rather than continue to inconvenience me can you please speak with the individuals who made commitments such as they did and do whatever it is you feel you need to do to refresh their knowledge with your policies or whichever? That’s none of my business
And I wouldn’t know if they were right or wrong because everyone is saying conflicting information and still to date no documents to back up your allegations have been provided while I provided plenty to validate everything I have stated because I am simply a loyal customer and have integrity I pride myself with and have earned that from the respect I treat others with and my understanding and respect for their time most importantly.

(The button is NOW a one touch on-off function.) I called Dyson right away and went through all of the troubleshooting possible, this went on for weeks. I finally ended up sending the defective unit back for a replacement, that was over three months ago. I've been told by TEN different Dyson associates that I would be receiving an overnight replacement, still nothing has shipped. I just want a refund since they took my money and never sent me a working product, but they refuse to do so since the refund window has closed (conveniently during the time all of the troubleshooting took place).
They could have just sent a replacement after the first time I called to let them know their product was defective, but they instead strategically delayed any sort of reimbursement until the refund window has "closed". Do not buy anything from Dyson, and if you're tempted to just research all of their recent reviews. There seems to be a trend with selling customers rather expensive defective products and not honoring a single refund request.

I was given tons of excuses for long delays on helping me, no offers to return products for money back or discounts or even options.
For what I was given the provider Dyson never provided correct refunds, or good service. In many conversations with the resolution specialist, they would tell me because my items were discounted that they can't go further on pricing because their retailers have special pricing and it would anger them, as if it was something I was buying when instead it was defective, missing parts, not as described, damaged and worse not working. When asking for refunds or returns they are beyond difficult. They have received items back from me however took weeks to give a refund after asking for it on only one item, then the refund was wrong, and still pending.

Bought a Dyson V11 Torque Drive about two years ago. Taken very good care to clean and properly use the vacuum. The canister and filters are cleaned regularly, driveshaft and cleaner head are clear of debris. Suddenly, the vacuum stopped working just as I was using it today to clean the carpet in my home which was not that dirty! I contacted customer service for help and they walked me through several steps to troubleshoot that I had already done to ensure the vacuum was working properly. Did not listen to anything I was saying and was treated like just another number.
Finally was notified that I was going to have to spend more money to find out what is wrong with my Dyson v11. Then would have to pay for repair and labor to have the vacuum working again. All because I had just passed the two-year mark and am no longer able to be considered for warranty. Customer service is no help! Then asked to speak with the supervisor just to be reminded that the warranty has expired. I spend $650 on a vacuum just to have it completely break just after the warranty expires! Dyson is a company that makes products to break and designs their vacuums to fail just after the warranty expires so that they do not have to be liable for repairs and will be able to make extra money on new parts and technician fees that are charged to the customer.
I will never buy a Dyson vacuum again and will be sure to discourage anyone who is considering one to purchase another vacuum. It is outrageous and unacceptable for a company to advertise superior products which only break just after the warranty and charge customers a price such as the ones that Dyson does. Dyson needs to be investigated for scamming customers and needs its manufacturing audited for cutting corners on product integrity and quality of the product. I demand a full $650 refund of my product and expect nothing less since repairing a product is too much for them to accommodate.

The customer service at Dyson is horrible. I previously purchased the TP09 for a client in May, they had an issue and I had to call into customer service so they could use the warranty. The customer service rep at the time informed me that I ordered the product incorrectly and I should have ordered it as a gift through customer service so my client could register it.
I kept this in mind when purchasing another TP09 for an out of state client. I called the customer service # (866) 664-9004 on 9/29/2022. It took 3 mins for the rep to get my name and address. I let her know that I had a meeting in 15 minutes and implied that should be sufficient time to place my order. I also asked for a domestic representative because I could tell it was going to take a while with her. She advised me no domestic representative was available but she would get the item ordered in the requested 15 mins. 23 minutes later the product was still not ordered, she had to keep placing me on hold. I had to disconnect to attend a previously scheduled client meeting. While she was polite, it should not take over 20 mins to place an order for one item.
I called back the next day (9/30/2022), after this rep couldn't find my account after 5 mins I asked for a supervisor. After holding for about 20 mins she said a supervisor wasn't available, she took my phone # and said a supervisor would call me back. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't received a call back. After being thoroughly frustrated with calling customer service, spending over 40 minutes between both calls and the TP09 still not ordered I decided to try the Dyson Chat option. I thought this would be a much better option. The rep was responsive, I was very clear that I was ordering the product as a gift, provided both the mailing address and billing address and it was all wrapped up fairly quickly. I then received an email advising that my client cannot register the product as it will void the warranty. This doesn't make any sense as I was very clear from the beginning that it was being ordered as a gift. Thoroughly frustrated.

You have to constantly clean it, the pieces are fragile and break when you do clean it and the battery died/needed to be replaced twice. This was an expensive vacuum, I've spent hours on the phone with their customer service and I had nothing but problems with it. It's now out of warranty and they want me to pay for repairs. In contrast, my previous vacuum was 1/4 the price, lasted 15 years without incident and I never had to clean it. Don't get suckered in by this company, I will think long and hard before I buy another Dyson product.

I ordered a V8 Dyson stick vacuum on March 9 online from Dyson. When it came the battery was so old that it wouldn't accept a charge. Before today, I have phoned twice to get a replacement battery, I still don't have one. I phoned today and was told that it will take 10 to 14 days to process the order, then another 10 to 14 days to be delivered, in other words it might take up to 28 days from today to receive a replacement battery. I find this unacceptable, if the battery does arrive, it will be about 2 months since my original order was placed. I think that Dyson could do better than this, especially when their products are so expensive.

I purchased a Dyson V15 for 7498.99 online. I received the free gift but not the machine. I waited a couple of more days and still no machine. I contacted Dyson and was informed that my order had been cancelled because my payment did not go through, and was advised to replace the order over the phone. I received the Dyson a few days later.
Two weeks pass and I received an email stating that my Dyson was being prepared for shipping. I contacted Dyson to inform them that I did not order a second machine and was told that the order would be cancelled and my card would not be charged. The following day, I received an email stating my Dyson had been shipped. I called Dyson again and was informed that the item had already shipped and there was nothing they could do.
I called UPS and had the item diverted back to Dyson. I received an email from Dyson stating they received the machine, and I should expect a refund in 10-21 business days. I did not receive the refund, so I called Dyson and was told that I was not owed a refund because they only billed me once. I emailed them a copy of my statement with both charges on my card, but I am still waiting for a refund and wound up having to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Customer service is incompetent. You have to wait quite a long time to speak to a person with little to no results. The Dyson V15 is overrated and definitely not worth the price. A Sharp or Bizzel will do the same job at a much lower cost.

I purchased the V11 vacuum approximately May of 2018. It has been satisfactory until September of 1921. There are only two people in our residence, no pets and the vacuum is normally only used once every two weeks. In total I can say that the vacuum has been used less than 100 times with an average run time of 45 minutes or less. In September of 2021 the trigger stopped working. I called Dyson on September 9, 2021 and was advised that it could not be repaired but for $120 I could purchase a new part which should be received in 5 to 7 business days. I ordered the part. Having received no communication from them I called Dyson again on October 8, 2021. During that call I was told that it would be one to two more weeks.
On February 10, 2022 I received an Email from Dyson saying that my order had been cancelled and advising me to take it to one of their repair shops. There are no repair shops near me in San Diego and I was previously advised that it could not be repaired. On February 18, 2022 after a long online chat with a Dyson representative I was advised that it would be in stock in three to four weeks. There has never been any communication to me initiated by Dyson regarding my order except for the cancellation. I certainly do not trust that the part will be available in three to four weeks. Dyson just lost my and some of my friends' business. We purchased a DreameTech Vacuum for about half the price and after 5 months it has been very satisfactory.

We are a little rough on things, lots of pets, candy wrappers, lint sheets from dryer, small wood chips from dog playing in the bark etc. If this is you don't get a Dyson - period. Our cleaning lady, our neighbors, and about ten different people Dyson owns and other high end vacuum owners told us to go buy a crappy $60.00 vacuum at Walmart, beat the crap out of it and get a new one every year when it comes off warranty. When our first Dyson stopped working, my wife bought a new one at Costco against everyone's warning. Our old had broken, I took it apart as per the YouTube videos, looked everywhere possible that there could be a blockage put it back together and it still wasn't working. Very cool design, and if you have a very light cleaning issue with no pets, no kids, and no dirt go get a Dyson. If you are like our house, go get the "pet rated" vacuum at Walmart for $60.00 run it hard and plan on getting a new one every year.

Bought the machine straight from Dyson including the dock, and accessories and received it Jan 27. It’s a good thing I only waited 2 days to set it up. I had to charge the vacuum fully before first use so it was only on the 30th that I got to use it the first time. 30 seconds after using the vacuum on hardwood floor, an error message appeared on the machine to clean my air filter. Checked the filter and all the attachments but found no blockage or debris. Searched online and noticed that this has been an ongoing issue. Used live chat and they suggested different things to try - plugging it back to the stand, pressing buttons simultaneously, removing the filter, removing the battery. It would run for a minute just fine. However, the error message keeps coming back.

I find the Dyson cordless vacuum to be excellent other than very difficult to empty. Instructions tell you to push on a button to remove the stick from the cylinder, however, this is very hard to accomplish. More times than not, I've had to bring it back to where I purchased it and let them empty it. They struggle with it as well. The additional tools for vacuuming along the baseboard are also hard to attach plus very awkward to use.

I am almost too exhausted from the whole process of trying to get customer support and service to even write this. In a nutshell I have a broken vacuum I have been working with them on fixing for months. They continued to tell me one thing was the issue (the battery) and refused to listen when I said that was not the case. They sent me a battery for the wrong model, then another that was correct but like I said, it wasn't the issue. I then had to answer questionnaires, send videos, be asked to send more videos, and respond to countless emails in order for them to determine it was in fact what I told them - an electrical problem.
I thought the end was coming but they then decided they weren't going to honor the warranty because it had expired. Mind you they already began this process with the two batteries they sent out under warranty service. I should have just walked away. Instead, because it felt so terribly unfair and frustrating, and because they cost a LOT of money, I reached out again. In the end, I wasted a lot more time and energy. They lost long time multi product user, and it affects them not at all. - We are small fish. It is why their customer service rating is as poor as it is on this site. It's hard not to get discouraged with big business.

For my surprise when I asked for the price match the company told me that it was a different model, despite me sending them the transcript and that they wouldn't price match. I see that as Deceptive Advertising, which under both federal and state law, is unlawful if it tends to mislead or deceive a customer, which was clearly the case. I purchased my first Dyson vacuum cleaner (after a lifetime of having nothing but Sears' Kenmore brand canister type vacuums) when my two sons were young and we adopted 2 cats. I knew right away that the old vac would never be able to combat the hair that I was going to encounter and I am an especially clean person, especially so for a man lol.
The model I went with was a Big Ball MultiFloor and my initial impression was simply "Wow!". I always wondered (and disliked) why the old canister vacuum was so weak in terms of suction but this was on another level, this was practically a mini shop vac! The performance was excellent and I enjoyed and used just about every attachment and life was good.
About 8 to 10 months after first buying the Dyson I was using it one day and when I was running it over a kitchen floor mat, I pulled the trigger (which reduces suction for such jobs) and the trigger broke! The trigger itself didn't break but the trigger has a small spring attached to it and that is attached to a piece of plastic in the handle and that piece of plastic is what broke. I was a little disappointed because I had watched the commercials over the years bragging about how these were engineered superiorly but I felt confident because I knew I was still under warranty and I had registered my machine just for easier access to support. Dyson replaced the entire handle piece and I went on from there.
About a year later the same thing happened, the trigger spring broke but by now I was no longer protected by the warranty. I called anyway and in the interest of honesty, I was told initially just what I said, the warranty had expired. I'm not the complaining type but I did feel upset and I remember saying that I bought this machine with the full expectation that it would last 10 years because that's what the Sears' brand machine had lasted and they were half the price! I don't remember exactly what happened but I do know for certain that they sent me another replacement handle.
About 4 years later (so now the machine is 5 years old) I am emptying the canister and I notice that the rubber seal at the base of the canister is coming away from its housing. I thought I probably could fix that myself, but when I tried to fiddle with it I could not find an obvious solution. I emailed Dyson thinking they might be able to provide me with a repair instruction but instead, two days later I got an email confirming shipping of a new part from Dyson! I was shocked because I never asked for a replacement, all I asked for was whether they could provide me with some repair tips.
I really do hope and expect to get another 5 years or so out of my Dyson. And given how well I take care of it (following the maintenance guide, cleaning the filter regularly etc) I can't see how that won't be the case. But knowing how Dyson has improved the design and having experienced their support and the FACT they really do stand behind their products, I've decided that regardless of when the time comes, my next vacuum will be a Dyson.
One last note, I debated back and forth between 4 and 5 stars because in fact, as I mentioned I was disappointed that I did have 3 separate issues with the hardware. But how can I complain when they replaced the parts each time, even though twice I was out of warrantee and the last time I was 4 years past? I have recommended Dyson to friends and that won't change anytime soon!

In addition it can be used for cleaning furniture fabric with a rotating brush head. Very effective. The device has a housing that charges the battery. Note, the filters need cleaning as needed as they are quite fine and get blocked which causes hunting of the motor. A backup cleanable filter is recommended as well as an occasional wash of the metal screens. The device is easily disassembled for cleaning and maintenance.

The Dyson is very efficient and has a good battery life. It is lightweight, cordless and efficient I would recommend Dyson and would buy again! In fact I already own 2. They are not cheap but what price quality and reliability.

Dyson is fairly strong machine. Its noise is a little too loud for me. It has been performing to our satisfaction. It is durable and disposal of the collected trash is easy. If they had provided the mechanism that is the cord could be rewind electrically, it would have made it perfect for us.

On May 24 I bought a Dyson V8 Absolute. The first time I used it fluid leaked all over my hand and down the stick. A customer service rep offered to send me a part that never arrived. Customer service then agreed to a return of the vacuum and a refund of money. Returned the vacuum via UPS (their carrier) on July1. Called customer service about the refund July 16. They verified receipt on July 14, and promised refund within the week. Then I received email confirming their receipt and that they were checking that everything had arrived safely (like it was my responsibility and not their carrier UPS), and oh, by the way, it could take up to 30 days for them to issue the refund.
I contacted them again, but no one in the company has the authority to expedite the refund. Really??? I hope to eventually receive a refund but am not banking on it based on my experience. My conclusion: No quality control in manufacturing and no customer service. I will never buy another Dyson product and recommend any buyer to beware.

I bought a Dyson V7 absolute, wanting to replace a clunky and heavy corded vac for a cordless vac to use in a modest-sized apartment. It was easy to use and solid for almost 2 years and then the battery started flashing red and wouldn't charge. I emailed Dyson and because it was still covered under warranty for a few more days, they said they would honor it. However, due to the pandemic, the batteries were out of stock but once they were back, they'd be happy to send me one.
I emailed a month later, the battery's not in stock. Another 2 months pass, I reach out again, battery's still not in stock. 6 months pass and finally, one of my followup email yields the answer that huzzah, the batteries are finally back in stock! But by now, my warranty's expired and Dyson wants to charge me for a new one. I'm confused, I quote earlier emails, I state that the machine was under warranty when it failed but get the same canned answer that the warranty is now expired and if I want a new battery, I'll have to pay for it. I end up calling and after trying to navigate the phone tree that doesn't give an option for a live representative, the customer rep says they'll do send me the replacement battery for free this time but I'm miffed that he's acting like he's doing me a favor. The machine stopped working while under warranty; what else mattered?
Bottom line, I understand the pandemic affected everyone but trying to deny warranties after writing they would honor them and trying to have customers pay for things that were covered is a great way to lose customers. The time spent chasing for answers and the aggravation soured this company for me. This is definitely not the "hassle-free" warranty they tout on their website and I will not buy from them again.

I have had my cordless Dyson ($400) for about 2 years. You need to wash the filter often to keep it going. Picks up a good amount of dirt and cordless is nice. The plastic is on the cheap side; vacuum fell over once and cracked the handle. The most recent time I washed the filter it would not function. This is where it gets bad - Called 6 different customer service numbers to receive help which took about an hour. No live agents or option for live agent. The automated system automatically hangs up on you if you don't opt for text messaging. Even after accepting the text option I was disconnected.
Registered for the survey which states it will call back in 2 minutes - the call never comes. Emailed Dyson; Received an automated email to send a video to them. Emailed them again to explain at this point my complaint was with customer service. I finally gave up and called a local vacuum repair. When I told them this story he stated that he hears this about Dyson all the time. For the price difference I would prefer to go back to Shark; Works equally as well and costs 200 dollars less.

Dyson says Purolator courier has my vac. Purolator says they sent it back to Dyson. That's where it ends? I'm out $400. I am given no refund or replacement. I have receipt from purchase as well as courier pickup tag. But there was never a package there. Fail.

I purchased a Big Ball Vacuum Model CY-23 in December of 2019. After very light use, the cleaner head developed a problem: the spindle holding the brush bar sometimes gets stuck and will not rotate. I contacted Dyson and was originally informed that this item was covered by their warranty, but the part was not in stock. After many requests as to when Dyson would ship me the cleaner head, they mailed me sweet words and fluff and empty promises. I was informed some weeks later that the part was back in stock for my purchase. My questions as to warranty on this vacuum remained unanswered. It is obvious that Dyson will not honor the warranty. I will not be purchasing another Dyson product and would advise you to be careful when dealing with Dyson.

We bought a Dyson V11 Animal because we have a dog so we figure this would be our best option. We were happy with the vacuum but only worked for 1 year. We've submitted a warranty request 3 months ago, never could we get a live person all via emails and text diagnostic test. Dyson determined it was the battery, so they replaced the battery three times, and still the vacuum does not work. Three months later we are still waiting for a cyclone part that is apparently out of stock. They never follow up, I have to keep asking for the status. Three months later still out of stock meanwhile we have no vacuum. They need to just replace it, but for whatever reason they don't. The vacuum is still under warranty! So disappointed and dissatisfied with this product and the manner in which we have been treated. We paid $1,000 for this vacuum, you would think it would work after a year....

From day 1 my cordless Dyson and its battery didn't last more than 15 minutes at the most. I bought the cordless only to do my stairs without having to deal with my built in vacuum cord when going up and down. I couldn't possibly have ever used my Dyson to do my whole house; I put up with it because it was enough time to get my stairs done. Then literally at the 2 year mark the battery stops working all together. Considering I minimally used this vacuum over the 2 year period, it was unacceptable that the battery died so soon. I called customer service, spoke to someone for over a half hour, they seemed to be trying to help me and then put me on hold and hung up. I waited for a call back and none. I called back again and had to go through the whole story for the customer service rep to basically say it was too bad that I'm just over my 2 year period and he'd be happy to sell me another battery.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, was told that wasn't possible and a supervisor would call me back within 2 hours. No call back. Save your money and buy a Miele. My Miele was a bit cheaper and now over 5 years old and still works beautifully. Also not too heavy so I can easily do my stairs. The worse customer service! AWFUL....

Have two Dyson products that both are having issues. After dealing with a customer service representative for 20 Minutes for my air purifier we got disconnected. No call back. So I had to start over again. Then the next day I have to call on my vacuum stick V-8. After doing all the steps to clear all dirt and dust it still is not working. We were setting up a return and got disconnected. No call back. So now I have to start all over. I would think long and hard about buying another Dyson product.

Received product with a damaged part and was told there is no inventory of the essential replacement part, and was not even given an expected time frame. No reasonable options were made available to me that did not include a wait time of 3 weeks minimum and the ability to either get my money refunded or hold the product until a solution can be found.

I bought a cordless Dyson Vacuum in November. By February they had to replace all the parts and had me send my vacuum back. In those months each time I called Dyson I waited on the phone for at least 40 minutes, had rude persons (can’t call it customer service). I was given misinformation etc. Finally they sent me a new upgraded Dyson. Within one month it wasn’t charging. Had to make 4 phone calls. Waiting time total over 3 hours. Not to mention one person hung up on me. I explained it wasn’t charging but it wasn’t the charger. They insisted it was the charger.
Lo and behold they sent me a new charger and it’s still not charging. They call them the experts!!!! I now had to call again. They are sending me a plug and body frame which I don’t travel much faith that it will work. My point to all this is if they had trained employees this wouldn’t have happened. In 5 months I would say I have had 3 decent employees. I have their hair dryer which I love but this vacuum is a nightmare.

This has been a very bad experience. I ordered a product on Feb 19, color of which I also choose as it was only the only one available to be delivered in 3-5 days. I understood the weather was acting up all over the country so I checked with Dyson Customer service after 10-12 days asking why it was delayed the status on the shipment. They did reply stating the weather was bad etc and that product in on the way and will be delivered in next 3-4 days. After 2 days I get an email that they took the liberty to cancel my order without even informing me. This is not what was expected at all. They had no courtesy to even call me or try to fix this. Never ordering form them again.

After just 8 months of fairly light use my Dyson V11 Torque vacuum has an electrical issue where the On/Off button is no longer working - When machine is on, it won't turn off, and when off it sometimes won't turn on. The issue started about 6 months after my purchased and now the button basically doesn't work at all. I have a TWO YEAR WARRANTY and after reached out to support and sending a video of the problem, this is their response: "The information provided does indicate that you will need replacement Main body and Cyclone for your machine. The replacement for your machine is currently out of stock and we do not have a date of when it will be back in stock."
Are you kidding me?? Their response is they have no idea when they can HONOR THEIR WARRANTY? This is utter ** - Do not buy a Dyson - They are cheaply made garbage and have terrible customer support and no warranty that they will stand behind. What a crap company. And for $600 you should get a way better product. I have no other vacuum so I have to buy something else now.

I purchased the Dyson V8 last week. It worked very well for the first 2-3 days. Out of the blue it stopped working (despite being charged) and the garbage bin latch would not open (although it had been fine the first few days). I had registered the machine with Dyson when purchased, so contacted Dyson support. They were terribly unhelpful, and refused to offer either a repair or refund option... they just kept sending me the generic instruction videos!! I was truly shocked...until I started reading all the bad experiences with Dyson US. I really urge you not to buy Dyson, terrible service. (I purchased the V8 at the local Bed Bath and Beyond, but registered with Dyson.)

I’ve owned Kirby vacuums and Hoover vacuums. Without a doubt my Dyson stowaway is the best. I’ve owned for 5 years now, and the suction is as good as the day I bought it. I had my doubts at first, because of the lightweight plastic. This thing is indestructible. Last week it fell down the stairs 10 steps and showed no signs of any damage. It’s easy to service, and no vacuum bags needed. I can’t imagine a better vacuum.
