My contractor recommended Closet World. I got double-hanging closets, shelving, drawers, a master closet and a child's closet. The designer came over and measured stuff and did a couple of things before we decided to set it up. I touched base with her three times while she got me a quote. But I had an issue with the designer at the end because she had measured things wrong. All the stuff came up when the installers came in and the wrong measurements needed to be corrected.
The installers were great through and they did what they needed to do. But because things weren't measured properly and weren't designed correctly, the install process took about three hours longer. But they were troopers about it and they stayed until it's done. It was great. We're happy with the product and satisfied with a few things but the entire process with the designer was a little bit frustrating.

One of the reasons why I chose Closet World was the responsiveness. I called two other companies and I never even heard back from them. Also, the pricing was what I wanted to spend so it worked out okay. Their designer was very nice and the salesperson was very professional. The follow-up in regard to the installation was good. They let me know in advance and they kept me in contact with what was going on. The installer was a great guy. He was very clean, diligent, happy and knew his job so everything was good. We called our contact person because I wanted to order some more shelves for the closet. Usually, I like to have one person whom I deal with. She said that we'd get better response if we called there directly because they didn’t get back to her when she called. I called them and they took care of it. They're delivering the shelves tomorrow.

The lady from Closet World that came to make the estimate was good and their prices were reasonable. She was surprised I didn’t bargain for it because I probably could’ve gotten a much better price. The design was decent for the purpose I wanted, but for the price I paid, I could've gotten better. I didn’t bargain because it was 50% off already. The raw material was cheap. I could’ve bought it at a cheaper price or the materials could've been better. Other than that, I'm satisfied with their work.

I called Closet World to install cabinets, workbench and other stuff in the garage. Installation went fine. They went about their work and got it done. Everything that Closet World said they were going to do, they took care of and did everything in a timely manner.

I got bids from different companies and I liked the designer from Closet World best. They were more expensive but the designer was very knowledgeable and always said, "we'll make it work." They did a very simple installation. I took a bedroom with windows and made them put a closet with shelves and accessories. The designer came by twice because the closet was supposed to be over the windows so he needed to check the measurements.
Ironically, when they came to install, the measurements were off because there was an issue. But the installer instantly knew how to fix it. The job was an absolute perfection and it’s 100 times better than what I thought it would be. I am so glad I went with Closet World because it’s my favorite part of the house. I've also told everybody that the installer was an artist. It was a tough job and he worked until it was perfect, and I was blown away. Overall, it was a professional, beautiful and efficient experience. I want to get more shelves made through Closet World.

Closet World had done my house in Buena Park years ago and they did a good job. However, they didn’t really impress me this time. We just bought this place and we had the master closet redone which turned out okay. They also had cabinets put in the bathroom and my laundry room. But the designer was a little unorganized. She couldn’t find her ruler and that's probably why she measured everything wrong. So when the guy came to install the cabinets, he couldn’t put anything up. He had to go back and redo all the cabinets. Then I was also supposed to get a jewelry box but they kept forgetting it. It took me about a month but they finally did it. They’re very disappointing.

We had California Closets and Closet World come out to give us quotes. I went with California Closets for one thing, and I went with the Closet World for our garage. But it was horrible with the Closet World designer. She sat in our house for six hours doing drawings, and I fed her lunch. She also measured the stuff wrong. We requested from Closet World to send someone else to re-measure and redesign, but it didn't happen. My husband ended up having to do all the drawings for hours.
But the installation was perfect. The team who worked on it showed up on time and was polite. They got my husband's drawing and installed the closets the way that we anticipated. They did cabinets, full large set of cabinets, pegboard, and a workbench for the garage. The final products were great and originally, we were told it might be a two-day project, but they got it all done in one day. Except for the designing part with the designer, everything went smoothly with Closet World.

Overall, Closet World has excellent customer service and their materials were good quality.

The Closet World designer Liz was amazing. I met with her one time and she was helpful and did a great job. She sees all the closets, did some sketches and explained what paint that they would set for the closets, and for each person depending on the age and gender. However, the installers were supposed to come to remove and tear off the old closets all at once so they could change paints and take the floors. There was a miscommunication and only one guy showed up so they wanted to do the job in another day. But my parents came from Mexico just for that and they were leaving the next day.
Closet World figured something, had some workers come and ended up resolving the issue. We had them install for the bedroom, three kids closets with sliding doors and three main, big closets where one was like a woman's walk-in closet, made out of scratch at the beginning, and for the pantry, a closet on top of the dishwasher. Overall, it was an easy experience and the prices were reasonable.

I got two estimates, one from Closet World and one from Costco. Closet World's designer came to our house and told us about what she thought we needed and she was great. The first time she came, she walked through in our preexisting closet and did the design. We had them install a master bedroom closet system with two hampers and two cupboards, lots of shoe shelves and lots of hanging rods and she came out when the construction was near to completion to see if everything would fit okay and if she needed to make any revisions. She was thoughtful and nice to work with.
The installers that came were also very nice. They did a great job but they didn't install everything. We didn't realize until later that there was some equipment missing. They didn't put it in the belt rack. It's been six weeks and we got some parts in the mail but it wasn't everything. We still don't have the sliding rails so I'm very disappointed with that. They were on our order and we paid for them but it was handwritten. And so, I wonder if whoever saw the handwritten and translated it in the computer made a clerical error. However, we're generally happy. It's only minor stuff that we're still waiting for. It was a great organization and a very nice product.

I got four estimates from other closet companies and Closet World has the lowest price. The designer was a very lovely woman. She was a kind person who took her time to answer my questions. They did closets and some built-in niches for TV equipment in the master bedroom and living room. The installers did what they were supposed to do, and it was a great experience working with Closet World.

I saw 40% off through one of those fliers in the mail so I gave Closet World a call. The designer was great. The first round, she did four closets in our house and did a nice job for what we wanted. For the second round, we got a closet added to our pool house. The designer didn’t come out to see the space and we had a minor hiccup with measurements that we had to do over the phone. But it was no big deal and we got through it.
The guy who came out to build the closet was totally understanding. I also talked to the owner of the company and he apologized for the designer not coming out to see the measurements for themselves. We didn’t have to go through that but it ended up being fine in the end. It took them a week or two to come back to fix it but it was fine. It was in good timing when we needed it to be finished anyway, so we weren’t in a huge rush.
Closet World's workmanship is great. Our closet has a funky wall so they did a good job. The overall quality is also fine. I could’ve probably paid more for some extra finishes and made it look a little bit nicer, but our closets don’t really show. The doors are always closed so I’m happy with that. I totally recommend the company. They’re great to work with.

We had gotten a couple of other quotes and Closet World was a little cheaper. They had a sale going on so we decided to go with them. We had cabinets installed over our washer and dryer and sink in our laundry room. Then we had them install floor to ceiling cupboards in our loft to store toys and games and things. The designer was very helpful. She was able to capture on her paper exactly what we were wanting done and gave us an accurate idea of cost the first day we met with her at our house. She was knowledgeable about what her job was. She had also brought with her a portfolio of other jobs that had been done.
The installation team worked fairly quickly. I had all my kids home with me and they were considerate of them. It was a good experience. We're grateful and we like our cabinets. Closet World has excellent customer service and installation, and I would recommend them. But I would like to have a follow up appointment because one of the pieces of molding is coming apart from the ceiling.

The Closet World designer came out, asked us to what we wanted, gave us a couple options, and then we drew out what was best. She wrote up an estimate and then we shopped around and ended up coming back to her. The installation team came out and wanted the balance due upfront before they did any work. I didn't really appreciate that especially when the contract states the money is due upon completion of work. I then called the sales lady back and told her what the contract says and that installation team hasn't even started. So they came back, went through their work and finished everything. They did a good job installing the garage cabinets and I wrote them the check. Overall, Closet World was professional.

The installation was very good as well and we were very happy with it. The installers were very professional and they got in and out in one day.

We bought a house a few years ago. We kept it as a rental and then I moved into it on March 1st. The master closet was about two feet by three. It’s really small so we decided I was going to fix it. But as I started, I thought that we’re not going to be happy with it. So we knocked out the back wall then decided to extend the closet outside and made it huge, a 10 by 10. We now have a closet and made the fourth deck smaller.
We called Closet World to see if they could come out and build the wall and the rest of the closet but they were not able to. They don’t send out carpenters but they were able to recommend me to somebody else. The salesperson was super nice. She had a client list of people that she had worked with in the past and they did construction. While that salesperson was here, we called a carpenter and he said he’d be able to do it. He came out and we worked on it. Two and a half to three days later, we built the wall and painted the whole interior and exterior of the closet. After that, Closet World came out and installed the inner parts of the closet, the part that they do.
The handyman from Closet World was very good because he could build the whole closet. He did a good job and he was a really nice guy. I kept asking if he needed any help but he didn't. Also, I was happy with Closet World’s price. Everything was measured correctly. We didn’t need anybody after that. All we did was hang our clothes. My wife was very happy. I had a good experience with Closet World. I’d recommend them to anybody.

We were doing a renovation and created a walk-in closet. We needed to completely redo it so it was around $6,000 worth of closet. We went with Closet World as they were running a huge discount though I overpaid in a way. Their designer came to our house and she was very helpful, very personable, efficient, and professional. The installers came the day and the hour they said they were going to come and were extraordinarily efficient. They obviously have done installations a million times. However they forgot one piece and it took them a month to come back. Other than that, the experience was great, painless, and efficient.

The designer of Closet World was quite good and we had a full closet remodel. The installer was good as well and did a fine job. However, he had to drive almost two hours to pick up equipment, another two hours to my home to install, and then two hours back to the shop everyday. That is horribly inefficient. The manager was supposed to get back with me with some pricing on some additional shelving but he never did though. Nonetheless, the closet looks great. It’s cheap because it’s MDF, but that’s what I expected.

We were having two closets installed and Closet World was one of our first choices. One closet was installed in a bedroom and the other was under the staircase. The designer was pleasant but we had a hard time with the installation. They had to come out a few times because they would bring the wrong color or wrong size. That happened twice and we weren’t too happy with how it actually came out either. For the price we paid, we thought it would look better than what we got. They were supposed to come out again and I don’t know what happened. My husband tried to call them too but then he got busy. Overall, the experience was okay, but not what we expected.

I had a closet in my master bathroom that needed some shelving, and I chose Closet World for their price. However, I couldn’t get it done as soon as I wanted to as there wasn’t an available date for a week and a half or so. The designer was cool though. She was able to design and show me what she was going to do, what my price range options were and what was important to me. But the installers came late and had me sitting in the house all day. The trade-off was they knocked some of the price off. Other than that, the installation was very solid and I’m very pleased with the sturdiness of the product. I got my money’s worth and I’m satisfied. It was a very simple job, but it was done correctly. If I needed another job, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Closet World again.

At the top of the staircase, I had a wall unit put in for more storage space for towels, sheets, blankets and other stuff. It was from the floor to the ceiling. I found out about Closet World in a newspaper ad and I chose them after reading their reviews. I spoke to Lorrie and she was very helpful. We went over several different designs until we came up with something that I can afford and that I still like.
I was a little disappointed, however, with the installation because they told me that there's no problem with removing things. I let them know ahead of time that there was a cabinet that was installed at the top of the staircase that I didn't like and we were replacing it. They had trouble removing it. Then I had to have someone come in and repair patchwork and paint. Other than that, they actually did a fairly good job. I was just kind of disappointed because they did not expect to be removing the cabinet and I thought that they knew that they were. So kind of made the project a little bit longer that day.
They had to come back because a few spots weren't completely finished to what I thought was finished. There were some open spaces. We have a laundry chute at the top, and it looked like they've cut out a hole in there and just left it. They didn't try to make it look nice. They just showed exposed wood and stuff, and I didn't like that. They did come back though and fix it. I did have Closet World come back a second time. They put in closets in the master bedroom and the three kids bedroom. They did a nice job and everything went smoothly. I was very pleased with it.

Another closet company was going to take a whole week to get out here so I went with Closet World who were here the next day. The designer was here for quite a bit of the day and she was very nice, sweet and lovely. I did one walk-in master closet that has three sets of doors and double hanging. Then I did three sliding glass door closets for my kids that have shelving and hanging space in them. Five guys came in and they had it all done in one day and they were amazing and respectful. I couldn’t find anyone that would install cabinets for a bookshelf in my mom’s office to hold a collection of things so they had to be customized, but my mom didn’t want it to be too expensive. We saw an advertisement mailed to my house about Closet World and they did the work at my mother’s house. The designer was great and really nice. When she drew up the plan, they were supposed to go all the way to the ceiling but when the installer came with the material, it was 96 inches, not 108 which isn’t right. They said it was how it was ordered. Since my mom’s elderly, she said that maybe we made the mistake. I asked the installer if we could call the designer but he said that it was how she wrote it up.
A supervisor came and he looked at the cut-to-fit arrows as going out horizontally instead of vertically, the way the designer pointed it up. They put arrows to make it cut-to-fit to the wall but it was supposed to be to the ceiling and have crown molding up the ceiling to look like it was built-in. I threw a fit and called the company but they told me to send them an email which was weird since I’d get faster service if they called me within an hour. I felt I was getting jerked around but I sent the email and they sent a supervisor out the next day. Then they gave a date, but the product didn’t come in so they had to delay it for another day.
The experience was frustrating because when I’m criticizing someone’s work, they need to have a professional attitude. They get frustrated because they are paid by the job but the customer comes first. The installer was not rude to me, but I could see his frustration. It was a miscommunication of planning between who cut and rig the designer’s drawing and sometimes the salespeople and home office. Overall it was rough in the beginning and it took three times for them to come out but they rectified the problem and followed through in the end. We got what we wanted and even more because they upgraded the shelves even gave better shelving so they took care of us. We got our money’s worth and they worked to their client’s satisfaction.

I chose Closet World because of their availability, accessibility and reviews. I had two full closets installed in one residence and two shoe racks at another residence. The designer came and designed it but we weren’t sure if we were going with it so there was no callback. Once we decided, it was more dealing with the departments over the phone as opposed to the designer. I had great interactions with the installer. I also had a lot if interaction with the guy that set up the installation and it was good.
I had a slight issue and they stepped up. Once they were done, I said “You know what, I’d like to have one more shelf.” Then I called, got a pricing, ordered it and they came and installed it. I saw Closet World at a newspaper and thought that okay for 59 years I hated the closet I had because it was terrible so I'd get someone to come out. And when I talked to a friend she said that Closet World got a closet done in one of her rental homes and it wasn’t very much money. I said okay because I don’t have that much money. I called and they came out and the lady took measurements. My daughter was here with me since I wanted somebody else to hear what the lady would tell. It cost me $1,900 to have it done and it wasn’t exactly what that lady said. I am looking at it every morning and I teach myself what a stupid person I am to have it done.
We told the lady that we wanted a part of the closet where I could hang long dresses and she said that we would get that. Then she told me all I had to pay was my sides and I didn’t have to pay anything else because they would come out and everything will be that we can’t even see the paint job. When the installer came out all he put in was a wooden frame and there was nothing on some of the sides and on the roof of the thing.
I’m a single lady and it was hard. I had to have somebody come over because I'm short and I couldn't paint the other part of the room. My daughter said, “Oh no, Ma, you have to paint this.” So she came over with a stepping stool and she did as much as she could and that was it. The closet looked nothing like the one in the papers and I have no room to put my long dresses. We stuck it way in a corner and it has to be on top of another. I don’t even have enough room to hang all my clothes. The installer was just by himself and it was late at night when he finished so I thought to just forget it and not say a thing.
Also I got another piece to hang the belts and the installer put it in the wrong area. I have a man friend that said would move it to be out of where it’s at but my daughter told me to take it out completely because it’s no good. The mirror sliding door is the only thing I like but they didn’t even do anything on the floor. It’s wood from the floor up. So I went down and got a box of seeder and I have to get somebody now to put that thing on the floor.
I have other rooms that have the same closet that I got rid of and I would never call Closet World to have them come and do the other closets. If others would say that Closet World is going to do their closet I’d tell them to come and look at mine because I’m not happy with it at all. I’m very disappointed of how they did it to me but I got the closet and I can’t cry about it now.

We called them up if they're going to charge us extra and the guy we talked to was not nice. He wanted to charge us an extra $1,000 on it. It took us a lot of talking back and forth that wasted my time. He wanted us to pay the money right then but we didn’t even have the doors. Closet World seemed like a more established company compared to others. I was able to make contact right away and get something set up. They seemed pretty professional about that. The first step was taken care of as far as contacting them and having an appointment. Then, the gentleman came out to assess our situation and he did a good job with his design and printout. So we felt pretty comfortable going with Closet World.
The gentleman spent a couple of hours here designing. We made him comfortable so he can have the space to concentrate and do his designing. We had a little small talk in between and he seemed very nice and interactive. We had a cool time with him being here. Afterwards, they kept us abreast as to when they were going to come out and we were contacted the day before and on the day. The installation team went over the design to verify that what we had expected was what they had in hand on paper. Then I signed something afterwards. They also told me what they were going to be doing and roughly how long they might take. They were very efficient in terms of their time and in how they were able to get in, do what they were supposed to do and get out.
We actually had one room converted into a closet. Shelves were installed and other shelves were put up on two sides of the wall. Two areas where our clothes can be hanged were also installed. Aside from that, we also had a hall closet that was old and needed to be upgraded. So I removed the old hall closet and they installed the new one. My budget was not as big as some people might have but we just needed some help with organization, some shelves, and some double racks, so it worked out pretty well. I also needed some closet doors in one of my bedrooms that were missing.
The installation went well too. The guys worked really hard. They looked really young and like handymen. They did it in a few hours and they informed me of everything that they were doing. Just call me in two months and maybe I can help you then," which was very odd. I loved everything about it except that they didn't give me a real reason for the cancel. I’m very dissatisfied with Closet World.

Gale, the consultant who came over, was very good. She seemed to know her work very well and the ideas that she gave were much better than the others. She explained what our options were and what Closet World had to offer. She also took the measurements. My husband wanted the wooden finish. He also wanted to go all out in the master bedroom closet so we had the crown molding and the bathroom molding done. We had quite a few changes in that and Gale had great patience with us.
We had garage closets and a walk-in closet for the master bedroom bathroom done. The installation took two days and Gale had prepared us for everything. Those who came to install were very professional. They finished the work and cleaned up after themselves. It was done as Gale had mentioned it would be done.
On the first day, the installer pointed out that the piece they got was faulty. It was for a work bench in our garage which had to be done with Formica. So the installer said he would do a follow-up, bring a proper piece and reinstall that. That was so nice of him and it was resolved very quickly. The entire thing went smoothly. They gave what they promised and value for money. Afterwards, I had my friends come over to see the work Closet World had done and they really liked it.

I'm so familiar with seeing ads from Closet World and that helped make my decision to go with them. They had a good promotion going too and when I asked around, everybody said that they had work done by the company. I had a whole master closet done, shelves for the shoes, a hamper and all the drawers. My son’s closet was done too. I told the designer what I needed and I showed him what I had and he made it work. His idea was easy and what he designed was exactly what I needed. And the person who was here setting it up was nice. I love the way he did the work and I'm very happy with the job that he did. It was a one-day job and everything went smoothly.
The only thing I was not happy about was that the designer told me that if I pulled out my own shelf and whatever rods were there, I wouldn't need to paint because the clothes would cover up whatever was damaged. He said it wasn't going to be very noticeable. But once the closet was done, it was horrible 'cause there was a lot of damage to the wall removing what was already there. So, it means so much work for us to have to paint behind the whole closet that was installed. The designer described something to be simple but in reality, it was a difficult project to have to do after the closet was installed. But I'm pleased now that everything's done and the hard part was taken care of on my end. I'm satisfied with the way it looks now.

I just moved here and I saw a couple people around my home were getting from Closet World, so I called the company to do a walk-in closet for my bedroom. Everything was good. The representative had a lot of knowledge on what he was doing. The other guy who came for the installation was very nice too. He was a professional and experienced guy who did a great job and he didn't take too much time.
But there were some other issues. There was a wall mount on the closet which the designer didn't see. The installer saw it when he came and he had to make another drawing because something was on the wall which was controlling the electricity. At the bottom, there was something that they had to take off in order to put the closet in. But husband didn't want that because he wanted to keep everything in their original condition. But if we were going with the other option of leaving them on, we were told it would be $300 more. My husband didn't want to pay as we already paid a lot of money, around $1600.
The installer took out small wall pieces in order to put the closet pieces on the wall. The installer was good about it, but we wish we could have known this before he took them out, but he said that there's no other option. Another issue was the designer told me that it was going to be a lifetime warranty but it wasn't. It was seven years which made me really upset. But then I don't have any other option. Other than that, I like everything else. I definitely prefer Closet World and I would recommend them.

We had our master closet installed by Closet World. Their designer was great. He listened to us and designed what my wife wanted that's why it went so well. Also, the installer came and did a beautiful job. He had to take out the old one and installed the closet without a problem so it took about 5 hours and 15 minutes. However, the bars, which they said we could adjust, were very hard for us to put back. They had to cut them down a bit and that made them easier to adjust. They got the bars right down, and we're happy. Overall, it was great because we didn’t have to do anything. It was a very easy, satisfying experience and the price was right.

Closet World was my husband's selection. He liked the design and they had a really good promotion at that time, too. They did the closet and laundry room, and they looked really nice. Their designer was very good and kept us up to date with everything. He was also pleasant and knowledgeable. There were certain things that even if he didn't know, he went and asked someone else and was able to get the questions answered. The installation team was pleasant as well. We had a few things that had happened that were beyond their control, but they were able to work it out to give us what we wanted.
However, there was one thing that could have been re-measured and thought out that we couldn't change after it was done. It was some spacing between one shelf and the other. It could have been fixed if it was caught earlier. It's no longer possible for them to repair that because if they did, they would have to move the whole unit which would leave holes in the wall that would be noticeable. And they would have to do a lot more cutting and we would have to do a lot more touch ups for the whole thing to be done. Even though it's a storage phase area, it's still not as easily accessible as we would want it to be. Nonetheless, our experience with Closet World is a recommendable one. I love the closet. Having it well done and organized is definitely a plus especially for the type of project that it was for.

I wanted to put shelvings in our garage. I went online and went to local stores and checked other companies. I checked Home Depot and Lowe's. But I didn't like the material they have, it was already falling apart inside the store. Also, It's ready made. It's not like they have to design it here. I went to the Closet World's store where they have a showroom. I checked and I decided to go with them. Their material looks like it's made to last forever. And with them, it was designed and fit for our house. So I decided to have the shelving in chrome, silver and black color.
Their designer was fantastic, very flexible and honest. She designed the shelves to fit our house, listed all my comments and my recommendations, and she even came back twice to address our concerns even after the first design. The guys who installed the shelves were very approachable, very confident and they put it up within a day. Everything went well. And then after it's all done, we were so happy, we didn't want to put anything inside it because it looks so fancy. We even invited the designer to come back and see what she had done to support us. It was an excellent and worthy experience with Closet World. And turning the garage like a living room was a fantastic job that I've ever done.

I had Closet World make a few closets for me. However, at that time, I had a bad experience but the district manager was able to solve the problem. It was very hard for me because it took him two months to make a decision on everything. I already paid $600 so I have no option to change anything and agreed to continue. The designer, Patricia, was very good. However, it has something to do with miscommunications so when she sent me the design, I didn't like it. So I talked to the district manager and he set up something else. Although not the same of what I need, it was good. He adjusted everything. On the other hand, the cupboards they made were gorgeous. It looks good in my fresh room and even in my room. I had a specific set-up but I’m not this type of people who wouldn’t cooperate so it was okay. I want them to continue working in my garage but because I had a bad experience, I'm still thinking about it.
The installation experience was good. The installer understood everything. He answered my calls and he's very hard-working. I appreciate that. I needed a lock on my window drawers and have told the installer about it. He said he would talk to people and come back to fix it but no one came. I didn't get any email or anything from them. Nevertheless, I still like Closet World and would recommend to friends even though there are also a lot of competition out there.

I looked at a couple of different options and I liked Closet World’s the most. The designer was great. I had a chest of drawers, hanging shelves for clothing and shelving for shoes installed. But I found out that a couple of things were done wrong. They didn't secure some of the shelving, so it's causing everything to move. The rails where you hang clothes were falling up and down because the other end of the shelves wasn’t secure, so they're moving. And then, they used cheap materials for some of the drawers and they were falling.
The process of getting somebody out here was frustrating. They had to send me a form, I had to fill it out, send it with a check and then got a callback. It took months. The fact that I had to send a check before anybody came and then they didn't come for a long time was annoying. But then once the second guy came out, he was awesome and good. Then, their lock wasn’t right, so they had to cut a part of the lock. The person who came out ground a little bit of the lock so it’s rough on that edge. It also wasn’t adjusted properly when they put the hole in. Also, the owner told me he cannot interfere with my conversation with the lady and he has no proof of it. Closet World was a little bit cheaper than other companies and the closet looked okay in the end. However, their designer didn't do a good job. We have a security system in the closet and she didn't measure the things correctly, so I ended up with a big empty space over there that needed to be furnished but they didn't do it. She came to the following appointment and I thought that she was gonna do something about it but instead, she said that they will just leave it like this. Then when the guy came to install the Closet World closet, he ended up leaving me pieces of wood just in case I want to put more wood in there. He could have put something on top of the gray box and built more shelves in there. Though they did deduct $218 for that. But I had to do it because by the time they came, I moved my old closet rack and my clothes were on top of my bed.
I ended up calling a construction to remove my baseboard and retain the closet because the installer didn't fix it on the first time because it was on the way. For a month, I didn't have anything cause the designer did the wrong thing and then the guy came over and wanted to rip my carpet because of the wire on the way and then I said no. Also, I needed that big empty space for me to put purses or clothes. I ended up buying a lamp table and put it there alongside a big flower base with flowers in there so it doesn't look very empty. I wasn’t happy about that.
I was expecting more since I was paying a lot of money for that but I ended up expecting less. If I knew how to build closet things, I would not call Closet World or anybody else. Closet World sent out coupons in the mail for 50% off and so I called them to see if I could get some work done in the house. I ordered a couple of things from them. I had some garage cabinets and they installed it. I also had some garage flooring and had a little bit of trouble with it. Sometimes in the garage they have like cement curbs in California. So when one's gonna do garage flooring, they'd have to go up the curb and up the wall a little bit to let those curbs get done. The saleslady said they usually don’t go up the walls for the flooring but If I tell the installers, then they’ll do it, and that was a deal-breaker. When the installers came, they said that they can’t do that. I couldn’t cancel ‘cause they wouldn’t let me.
So then they had to install it and now I have an additional cost so we’re covering those curbs and going up the wall a little bit. I’m not happy with that. On the edges of the tiles, they have these little hook things that hook them together and he was gonna install it with the hooks all around the garage. I told him that it's gonna look totally ugly and I had to argue with them about that, too. I called the manager and told them then they agreed to cut those little hooks off so that way they’d be at least flush with the wall. I’m not gonna experience this a second time around because I’m not gonna go to them again for sure.

The closets have a walnut color but are not real wood. The sales person at Closet World was a sweetheart. She's an older lady and a good people person. However, they committed a quote of $6,000 and then they got it done for $2,200. Where do they get these big numbers because it’s not real wood and how do they go from $6,000 to $2,000? A $6,000 closet have no interest to me and the closet is small. On the other hand, the installers did everything they were supposed to do. I had closets in the garage installed and the whole experience was pretty good. I made rough designs and was very specific. I knew exactly what I wanted and the Closet World designer implemented them. She was very professional and made things as pleasant as possible. She was courteous but always rushed. She had to come back three times because she ran out of time and had to make it to her next appointment but it was just a garage and I had my drawing so it all worked out.
The installer who came seemed very uninterested and low in energy. The garage was not completely empty and we tried to pile everything in the middle so that he could go around. And there were about four feet all around and a very open space in the driveway in the front where they can spread out their stuff. But the moment he walks in, he made a really big issue about it like the garage has to be emptied. At the end of the day, he worked but it took longer because he didn’t have a couple of things that he needed. The long weekend came and there were a few things lying in the backyard and it became inconvenient and unpleasant.
Also, the lady who took the order made some mistakes. The counter top for a workbench was not what I had specified. I had asked for sliding orders and she did not specify to them where they were, so they had to reinstall a couple of things. And then I had picked a color for the countertop, but it came as basic gray. So it went into a three-week project rather than a two-day project but they installed the counter top and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m very happy with it. They also installed the peg board in the back and the same installer came. It was a little crooked and when I pointed it out to him, he said, "Your wall is crooked" and just walked out and did not quite finish. It’s loose on one end and fine on the other. He said, “I need to talk to somebody.” I’m guessing nobody’s going to come back now after all the installation and payments have been done. I’m willing to compromise and let go but it was not a very nice thing to walk out and not follow up.

Closet World did it in three weeks that’s why I went with them. I called them and the rep came and helped me with the design and said she’ll take care of it. I liked the way that she did things. She did the measurements and it turned out very nice. We did only three walls and I told her we'll add another wall next time. But I’m not very happy with the whole thing.
I already talked to the lady and she told me that she’s going to talk to her boss and get back to me, but she never did. My budget was limited and we did everything as standard. It doesn't look good and the problem is that now it looks like a huge closet and it's not wide enough. The one that I had in my head was a little bit wider. One-third of my dresses stay out of the wood and do not fit inside the closet. I sent some pictures with the floor and how the dresses look. That time the rep told me we should have gone with the longer option. She also told me that they did that size because my budget was low and it would have been more expensive.
At that time of installation, I was happy because all the boxes and dresses were on the floor. They came, they did it and it was awesome. But now I look at it, I wish I took my time and saved little bit more money and did a better work. Because now, I’m not happy with what I have and I want to change it in the future. He was very competent. He knew what to do and he did it and then I signed something and he left. The closets were very well done and the entire experience was very good. Closet World was recommended to me by friends and if others asked, I would recommend they have it done as well.

We worked with Closet World three years back. We recently had a closet and a cabinet installed in our garage by them, too. Their designer was very professional, helpful and friendly. He understood our problem and what we were going through. And so, he was able to explain what we were looking for and found the best way to handle our situation. The installation crew who came did the job cleanly, too. So far, everything was installed properly and everything has been as good as what we were expecting. It was a good experience with Closet World and I already recommended two of my friends to the designer and expertise.

I've been dealing with Closet World for at least 20 years. They did some closet's treatments in my house in Manhattan Beach. And then, I moved about two years ago and I needed some closets and organization in the new home that I moved in. If I need closets or storage, they've always been my go-to. They recently turned a bathroom into a pantry for me. They did a lot, also built in for a small closet. The designer was very good, right on target. They did what I wanted and met my needs. The installation team did a good job too. They came when they said they were going to come. I keep going back to them because the work has always been top quality. I would definitely recommend them. They're fair and compared to other closets companies, in my experience, they're just as good if not better.

Closet World did our closet about three years ago in our own home. Now our sons need closets so we called them again. Their designer was great and Manuel, the technician, did what he can not to destroy our closet area, installed the closet, and cleaned up after. On the other hand, the drawers are so deep and big that you can't see all the clothes. I wish they were smaller and there were more drawers. Other than that, everything was good and I'd recommend Closet World.

Closet World did the work at my daughter’s house and I was pleased. However, my experience with them was a disaster. I was quoted $1,100, but when I got my statement, it was $1,179. I left at least six phone messages that the price was wrong. I received one phone call at the beginning and the salesperson said they’re going to take care of it. But after five phone calls, she didn’t return my calls and didn’t email me too. I ended up calling my American Express to charge back $79. Also, we wanted an extra couple of wood pieces. After the seventh phone call, I left a message and two emails, but we still haven’t heard from the salesperson. Their installers were okay though. But I’d tell my friends to go over the local person instead of going to Closet World. At least if there’s a problem, that person can return their call or come in and help. A mom-and-pop store is also much better.

I went with Closet World as I had them do a closet for me in my previous residence. This time, I had them install a basic white square closet in the master bedroom. The designer was nice and courteous, but I had the design, myself, so he didn't have to figure out what my needs were. I already knew what they were, and what spacing and areas I needed. The installer was very nice as well, and they arrived a little bit early. However, the products weren't as good quality as I remembered. I'm a really picky person, and the hardware had like a little bit of a gold tint to it instead of it being like that silver that I had in my previous closet. But other than that, my overall experience was pretty good.

She also knew exactly what I wanted and I needed. She came out initially and then we had to redo it because of the mortgage company. It was an insurance claim. She gave me two estimates then because she came the second time just to verify but it was the same amount. I had some melamine with curved shelving installed. We were having issues financially because they wanted a final payment but it’s an insurance policy. But, they were able to work everything out. They were quick in installing and they did a good job. They sent somebody out within a couple of days, and the lady that came to give me some ideas was extremely nice. They emailed out the quote and I signed it, then they did the installation a couple of weeks later. It was a pretty quick and very positive interaction. Also, the installers came in on time, were quick, and extremely easy to work with. Everything looked great afterwards and I'd recommend Closet World to anybody.

We had a couple of other quotes from other companies. They were cheaper but Closet World seemed to still have a little bit of the some kind of personal touch so we ultimately decided on them. They installed two closets for us. One was a large floor to ceiling reach-in, and then the other was a bigger, extra room closet. One’s in the master and the other is in a guest bedroom.
The designer came to the house and she was knowledgeable. But it got a little difficult to communicate when they recommended a follow-up that we had agreed to do together. I was able to speak with her manager and she was able to take care of the situation. We were also not given some information about the financing but at the end of the day, they agreed to honor it so everything went well. It was a hiccup along the way where I didn’t have to cancel. Other than that, the installation looks great. I had read some negative reviews on the installing team which gave me some hesitation but they did a great job. They were fast and they cleaned up after themselves.

I needed to replace my closet stuff. I went online, tried a company in the city and I felt like they didn't want to do the job. I kept looking around and Closet World was willing to do what I wanted to have done so, I went with them. The room itself is a pretty good-sized room. On one end is the walk-in closet area and on the other end is the bathroom area. There are also two sets of cherry finish drawers and the rest of it is horseshoe-shaped and double rack like hanging. This is in a spare room downstairs. It's like the fourth bedroom and third bath. I remodeled the rest of the house upstairs where my daughter and her family moved in and I moved downstairs.
The designer was very good. At first, she wasn't sure if she's going to be able to do it because it's located at sub terrain and looks like it was going to be difficult to install. But they managed to get it done. She was very cooperative and helpful. I kept asking her if we could do this and that and she did it. I can't complain. There are some shelves in one area, a rack going across the bottom and the shelves up above it. The only thing I need to do right now is take the shelves out and get up another bar to hang more clothes. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area and I was going to cross the Bay to the showroom in Hayward's, see if I can get a 30-inch bar and hang it myself. But I'm pretty happy with it. I love the way it looks and it's nicer than what I had in there originally.

We’re very happy with all the work Closet World has done. We started with the walk-in closet in the master bedroom and they did a great job. And then, we had them do the garage. They put all cabinets in the garage and from there, we went to the guest bedroom and it housed a lot of our office supplies too. They did that closet and then this last time, we did the office. They did a complete work of our office space so we had two workstations and they came out beautiful.
The installation has been very convenient. The installers worked with us and they’re quick at what they do. They had a few corrections to make in the office where there were some wrong handles that came in. They didn’t match and then they had the one door to change up but that was nothing. The installation went very well. They had the room all set-up so they didn’t have anything to move. They went right in there and went to work so it came out perfect. I’m also glad they brought back the last team. They did the closet for our bedroom and I made a comment when they called me that it'd be nice if they came back and did the office. The office was a big job and I was very impressed with their work. We finally got everything done and we’re very satisfied with all the work.

I saw Closet World has 40% off with free installation through the Value Pack Mailers. Their designer was really nice and even offered a military discount which was really sweet compared to California Closets which was overpriced. Their designer or whoever I talked to didn't seem to care whether or not they had my business but I had to move and turn my schedule, my appointment with her and then following up around a couple of times because we were told different closing dates for our house. I wanted the meeting and figuring out how and what the design was going to be, at least be done before installation and I officially move my clothes into the closet. The designer that I worked with was really understanding, nice and so much more flexible plus the price was right so I just decided to go with them.
Their designer was really helpful and wasn't pushy because I had a budget. I told her the budget is not too much and she was very good with it. She completely met the budget without making me feel I'm not spending enough which a lot of places tend to do because they want more. The installation took place three weeks after we moved in and I kept my closet bare so it'd be easier for them to build it before I moved my clothes in. I definitely recommend Closet World to anybody else who's thinking of building a closet because their price is right. They meet your budget and there is no pressure so I really liked it. They were great and I'm happy with the end product.

Our designer, Tracy, came and talked about the product. Then, she went upstairs and did all the measurements. After which, she supplied us with a couple of drawings that she had in mind then we made a selection. Tracy came back out do the second set of measurements and ensure that the drawings were correct. She also talked to us more about the purchase we were going to make and started the scheduling process.
For the installation, we were called to choose a date that we wanted to have somebody come out. And then, we were called once again the day before as a reminder. On the day that the gentleman was coming, we also received an email or text saying that he was on his way. He came on time at 5:00 and was here for a couple of hours.

I had a friend that went with Closet World. After I saw it in their room, I asked her and she said that they did a good job. So I figured I'll go with them. I had a pantry and walk-in closet in my new house that was completely empty so I wanted something nice. The Closet World designer was very nice. She spent a lot of time talking and explaining things. It was expensive so she tried to do different things to reduce the price. She ended up making a mistake that was going to cost more on their behalf. I have signed for it and she came back for me to do another signature but I told her that's not my problem. She gave me the price and that's how it's supposed to be. She said according to her manager she won't get any commission if we leave it that way. It was a big mess. So, they left it at that which I was okay with.
And then when the guys installed it, there was a huge gap on top which can collect dust. The point of making it custom is so that it goes all the way to the top and won't have a gap. And also, there is molding on the bottom part around the inside of both the pantry and the closet. And when the guy came and installed it, he said he has to remove the molding. It's a brand new remodeled house. Why would I want to remove the molding? So we have to call, speak to a manager and somehow figure out a way for them to remove the molding, fix it, and then put the molding back. All of this should have been taken care of by the designer to have one design so that there’s no gap to the molding. She had a good level of knowledge but she could have been more professional.
There were two installers because when the first one came, he realized that both the pantry and closet couldn't be done in one day. So, he called another person to come in. The second person came in later. They left the gap and when they're leaving I asked what I’m going to do with the gap. And they said there's nothing they could do about it. I highly doubt that so, I called and spoke to a manager who said they’ll cover it up. When they came, the guy said it’s going to be very hard because it has different sizes and my closet is shorter on one side so the gap is different size all around. It looks really ugly because the molding is not the same size all around. All in all, I spent $4,000 on something that I'm not happy about. The designer came three times and the installer twice. I could have had a better experience.

Closet World did my first walk in closet ten years ago and also had them to redo it to update it. The first time when the lady came, she measured the closet inside the closet so when the construction people came, they put everything inside the closet. I called Matthew, their manager, and he was very helpful and kind. He sent out another technician who checked it out and told them what was needed to be done then came a week later to do it.
The service was fantastic, except that I waited too long and their turnaround time is awful. When they made a mistake, I should not have to wait a week and a half for another appointment and someone should have come out and saw me within the next 24 to 48 hours. The closet was $792 and with what I pay, it should have been done faster. But outside of that, I had a good relationship with all of them. The installation crew were kind young men. I had a closet that was done before in my previous home by somebody local, not a big company like Closet World. I had moved and wanted the same closet done in my new home. I could not get hold of the same guy, so I went to Closet World. I called them and they came to give me a price, which seemed okay, so I gave them my business. However, the products they installed are not of ideal quality. I had all kinds of products done for the whole house — all the walk-in closets and shelves for five bedrooms, kitchen, pantry, laundry area and garage. The designer that I worked with is the same person that services that area. She came and spent some time to design the closets. She showed me her design and said, "This is how it is going to be." But I didn't pay much attention. I thought, "She's a designer and she will design it well."
Once the products were installed, I could see that the rails were rough and very old. The shelves were even older and did not look like they could support enough weight, especially for the cabinets in the garage. The quality of the material and workmanship of the Closet World products that I got is much worse compared to what I had experienced before from the local guy. The shelf material is of inferior quality, and the handles and rails for the drawers are also of very poor quality. Furthermore, the design of the closets did not use the space very well and the drawers were poorly designed too. When I call and talk to the Closet World reps, they are comparable to their competitors. But I was not happy with the design and quality of the work done.

I first called their competitor and got a competitive quote then called them after seeing them in a newspaper ad. They beat the price and that was it. I also found out other people that I knew that had used them as well.
It was convenient that their designer lived in our town and she just came over. She seemed very knowledgeable. They knew exactly what they needed to do and what the style was. Also, I was surprised that they only sent one guy to do the whole installation by himself but he did a heck of a job. I was really impressed with him.

The designer from Closet World brought out an example of their work. I found it to be very solid and well made. She was willing to earn my business by spending time reworking things when I told her that the price was higher than the competitors'. She got a bit closer and even though it wasn't as cheap, the quality was worth the extra costs. And so, I had cabinetry in my garage done by them.
The installers were professional and I liked them. However, they arrived a lot later than they said they would so I had to rearrange my day. They didn't make the window that they said they would be there and so I wasn't able to surprise my wife like I tried to. Nevertheless, traffic in LA is something that needs planning and there is little you can do, so I don't hold the installers responsible for it. That didn't detract from the overall experience.
However, I need to find the time to ask my designer to come back out and bring the sample that she showed us because there were a few things with the final product that don't line up with what we like. The cabinet doors don't fit flush when you close them. There's a gap between the hinge side and the frame. So dust can get in there as there is a quarter inch gap. That sample she showed me, it's fit flush. In fact, I thought that was nice. Going from memory, that was one of the things I liked about it because I didn't want to be dusting out the inside of my cabinets with the dust that gets in the garage.
When I asked the installers about it, they said these hinges don't fit flush. I said to them that the hinges are adjustable and asked if they can adjust them and push them back. The installers said that the hinges don't do that. If they don't, then my first step is to follow up with the designer and have her bring that sample back out and see if she showed me something that was flushed because I believe she did. Nevertheless, the cabinets were installed well and I believe that we got what we asked for. Still, I want my cabinets to fit flush because I don't want to deal with dust. Because if I can't handle the dust, then I'll just get a bunch of cheap open cabinets. I spent almost $6000 and this was the only thing that falls short of expectations. Everything else has been top notch. I want to use Closet World for more things but I have to get past this issue first.

She also gave us a lot of options and everything was good except once she got paid or once the transaction was done, we didn’t hear from her ever again. We still needed to wait a few months to get them installed because we had to clear out the closet. We gave her the date that we wanted but she didn’t do any of that. There was no follow-up with whatever she said she was gonna follow-up with.
Then two guys came for the installation and it was very quick. However, there was gonna be a corner that when they explained it to me, I thought there was gonna be a door for me to enter because two closets were meeting. But when they explained to me, it was one closet that had to go inside. So I'm gonna be able to open one door. But other than that, they're very good guys and they even kept asking me if it was okay. One of them took care of all the questions while the other guy made sure everything was cleaned up. They did everything and I commended them. However, it's a little bit pricey for what we get. And then she asked any future needs, about family, anticipating how we would design the closet. There was just a bit of a complication during installation. I’m satisfied overall with them, but I like for communication to be very clear. They assumed something and we actually had to reschedule the installation.
Prior to this, I had just done a whole bunch of upgrades throughout my house. The people I hired moved everything that was in the way and then they put it back. And since I didn’t hear anything from the Closet World installers, I assumed that’s what they were gonna do. So, I didn’t have a ton of stuff in my closets, but I just had the clothes hanging. Come installation and they go, “Well, you need to get everything out of there.” I told them that they should’ve told me that I had to do that and explained how my previous contractors went about it.
The guy who talked to me got me kinda angry because he was talking to me like I was a moron and it was illogical that I was thinking this way. But we resolved it. They were gonna try to charge me a 20% rescheduling fee and I said I’d be the wrong person to try to do that to because I don’t take things like that lying down. I said I’ll approach the Better Business Bureau and I will post it everywhere I go. It won’t be worth your time. So, anyway, they rescheduled a week later and everything turned out great.

We had a garage cabinet truss installed by Closet World. My husband and I wanted to put in a garage cabinet when we first moved into our house. We looked online and saw a garage tag so they put in our first garage cabinet. I was looking online for the same company to put in the second one but they weren't available and they don't have a franchise in San Diego anymore then we found Closet World and used them to build the second one we have in there now. The gentleman came by and I went over what I wanted to do. He designed it and then we had the pricing. The designer was very nice and he seems to know both sides of it. The design he came up worked for us and he gave me all options which are really nice because what I had in my head was going to be a lot more expensive than what my husband and I wanted to pay.
I really, really appreciated it because he saved us a lot of money. He was really good at telling me the differences in price and came up with a price that was doable so we went ahead and moved forward with it and then the installers came by and put up our cabinet. Unfortunately, they were missing the feet and even though it gets installed onto studs onto the wall and floating above the floor, there were some heavier items I wanted to put in the cabinet so I wanted to add feet on the front and back of the cabinet. When the installer came and put it in, they had the wrong size of feet so we had to make a different appointment for that. When all is said and done, I'm thrilled with the cabinetry and so far it's been very sturdy and attractive.
I have everything I want now, so that's good. Everything's just thrown in there to make my garage look neat temporarily so I'm hoping over time, with the weight that I want in there, it will last a long time. The cabinet is really improving the aesthetic and functionality in the garage. The execution was great and I'm very happy with the product.

It took two weeks when it only was supposed to take like a day, but everything have been misscheduled and mismeasured. I had been promised that I was gonna receive a discount which I never received and it got fully charged on my Amex. Then someone called and was like, "Oh, we'll have the manager call you, to figure out how we can refund that." And now, it's been a month and a half and I haven't heard from anybody.
My garage looks nice but the installation process and planning and coordination was pretty weak. It was poorly executed. I had to delay construction work until the storage was in the garage. And the storage was two weeks behind schedule because of Closet World, not the construction company. The Closet World part was definitely supposed to be the easiest part. The designer was actually quite lovely. The people who came to install it were lovely, but they made it very clear to me though I was in Santa Barbara and he was in Irvine or Valencia. I know it's gonna take them four hours to get home. So, they didn't really wanna stay the first day to fix the problem that was their problem. And I was like, "Why am I being guilted by the people I'm paying to install this?"
They came back two weeks later and fixed. The problem was that they didn't schedule enough time to actually install it. They were just starting to install it and the sizes were wrong. The designer hadn't measured things properly. And so, then they had to reorder things back. We had to reschedule and ended up delaying it for a week. And then, they kept putting me on the phone with their manager, like he was gonna help. But then, he just keeps making promises, he never follow through it. The whole thing just felt kind of like a scam. Though, I recommended Closet World to my neighbor because they needed closets. But I also expressed that they got to make sure they stay on top of them. And that they can't expect Closet World to have any kind of full service treatment for them. In terms of my experience with Closet World, it’s not a full service company. She also gave us really good suggestions. She was very patient even though I have two kids. While I wasn’t sure about going with Closet World, it was Pam that made me want to go with them.
Pam came out and we made an appointment and she drew out what she thought would work. I also told her what I was thinking and she said it was a good idea but then she asked me if I had thought about this and how in the future this might be something that I want to do. So I thought about it and told her that it was an interesting idea. So, she drew out something else and I told her that we would go with what she drew. We had shelving, closets and drawers. We had the installation in the office downstairs but the one in the masters upstairs hasn't been installed yet and we're waiting.
The man who came for the installation was so nice. He was given three jobs in one day. Our window of time was 11:00 to 4:00 or 12:00 to 4:00. So, I actually had to take a half-day off of work. He did not arrive until 7:00 at night and that was a bummer. He called twice to say that he's sorry because he had to do a commercial installation and he was by himself. But he called to let us know that he's coming. Although he's running late, he would still arrive. When he arrived, he wasn’t slow or inefficient. So, he was great. Although, perhaps he might have been overbooked. Still, I would recommend them. I find the overall experience successful and I got the products I wanted.

Closet World installed a Legacy closet, which is a compartment for shoes with eight drawers and hanging spaces, in our master bedroom. The designer we dealt with was new so what was supposed to be a two-hour appointment turned into a nine-hour ordeal which made us miss our family party, but that's okay. She was very helpful trying to get us the best design for the space we had. She also helped us with the colors and tried to also help try to get us some other pieces that they didn’t have actually in the type of wood finish we were looking for.
However, they only sent one guy out by himself to install. The gentleman, by the end of the day, he was rushing. He worked from 10 o’clock in the morning until 8 o’clock at night continuously. You could see the quality of the work took a hit because we ordered crown molding and that was the last piece that he put in. He had to put a lot of putty because the way he cut the crown molding, it wasn’t perfectly lined up in about two or three corners. To the naked eye it looks good, but once you take a close at it, you'll notice that there’s probably about a good quarter inch to an eighth of an inch, depending on what spot you’re looking at, of just putty covering the spot at the edges where it’s completely at a 45-degree angle. I understand and charged it up to fatigue.
It was very stressful because there were some concerns I had and they weren’t being addressed until the last minute. And then after all, we still didn’t get what we asked for. We called back and the gentleman was either not there or not returning calls. We couldn’t even find him. We still haven't heard back from him to this day.

Closet World was a little more reasonable. I like their sales girl, the first of them all to come out. I had two shoe racks put in the master closet and it was supposed to be done in one visit but it took them four to finish. The piece they cut didn't fit and they didn't bring enough shelving but when they finished, they got it right exactly how I wanted it. It was a great experience.

I was looking for closets and priced it out to do it myself but realized the job was too much. Closet World called me back right away and installed my whole closets about a month and a half ago. I got a master closet and it was huge, with everything you could think of. I had two designers and they were fantastic. He drew the closet up and then I redraw it and it came out perfect. The installation was beautiful and amazing. Everything was on time and done properly. We moved into a new house and they were the only ones that we didn't have a problem with. The installation crew was quick and did a great job, too. Closet World did an unbelievable job. They were professional, prompt and it's remarkable. It was great from the design to the final product and I have recommended them twice. It was a fantastic and great experience all the way around from start to the finish. Everything was amazing.

I had Closet World install a white walk-in closet with an upgraded signature and cabinets with a workbench countertop in the garage. The designer who came out was good. She forgot a few things but managed to provide most of the information we needed. She also did all the measurements. But there were differences between her measurements of the sizes and dimensions as compared to the actual products that were ordered and delivered for the installers.
For the closet, the designer had left about six inches on one of the walls empty. The installer said designer should have just made it a little bit longer to have the shelves. So, the installers had to go back to the shop to order the right shelves and get the right dimensions on it. They got that done. However, the installers want to put square-edge shelves in the closets though I had gotten the upgrade to the signature which were the round shelves. I told them that but they said it’s not in their paperwork. When I tried to contact the designer, she had gone on travel for some time to Hawaii. It took a while for her to reply to me. So, that’s another delay. And then she was able to get to the installers and they eventually brought back the round shelves, but they still came back with the wrong size even though they had already came out the first time and had the info about the shelves and sizes. That’s another delivery and delay in the process.
Then on one of the walls of the garage, the designer had ordered a 128-inch countertop which was longer than the wall. One of the guys there asked me, “What do you want me to do? You want me to put it in like this?” I said, “Well, no, it's going to block my door.” I ended up with a different countertop as compared to what we initially agreed on. The installer said, “We can always cut it down.” I said, “Well, now, I'm trying to redesign this and make it fit.” And that’s what I did. The countertop got shorter and longer because it was way too long. It should have had some space at the end. Now, it's all the way up to the seam of the door.
The installers made it very clear that they are just the installers and they don’t do any of the designs. I’ve been trying to deal with the installation manager and he said, “I'm just the installation manager? What do you want me to do? I get the orders. I'm gonna do this.” I told him, “Well, I'm the one paying for this, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to cancel my order? You can't just keep screwing up and then I have to just pay for anything whatever you guys get me.”
When it was the third time they found a problem, they asked me what to do with it. I told them I don't know. They're just cutting down one of the walls’ shelves cabinets in the garage. The designer must have imagined everything and then when the installers put the shelves in, the installer can’t place them because they’re going to be in the way. The installer had to make the cabinets smaller now. But all of the cabinets should have been the same sizes so that we can interchange the shelves and do not have to buy anymore. Now I got three different-sized shelves that are no longer interchangeable. And just about every wall in my garage got completely redone.
One of the other thing that got me off guard too was when the installer came to the garage, he asked me if I got leg support for the cabinets so that when I put extra weight on the cabinets, they won't sag. I told him that the designer said it has warranty and did not mention about the leg support. So now, I have to order that. I called the installation manager because that’s who they told me to call. He said Closet World sell that. So, they built another $300 that I had to pay for. They didn’t bring enough leg support the first time even though they're the ones who told me how many I needed. They had to do another trip to give me the rest of the legs. They also showed up and brought the wrong sizes.
It was a lengthy process and a learned experience. They finished a couple of weeks ago. Overall, it took around six visits for the installers to finally get done. It was a hassle going back and forth. Their job was satisfactory, but for me it’s not the best. It wasn’t as good of an experience I've ever thought for my down payment either.

I had Closet World to install cabinets in my garage and the experience is bad. The designer was super unprofessional. She told me what they would do and she started making these little drawings which we went back and forth. She told me she wanted to come do her final measurements after all the appliances were put in. So, I had my appliances put in probably a week or two before. One of them was a washer and dryer and a refrigerator. And so, we’ve been using the washer and dryer in the meantime and it was great. Then they came for the installation and told me that the appliances need to be pulled out. I asked them if they know how to put them back in and they’re like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” So, they pulled my appliance out and installed, said they’re coming back to do a few more things. They built really fast and when they left, I could tell they wanted to get the hell of the house.
My cleaning lady was doing the laundry and found out the dryer’s working, but it wasn’t hot. Then we figured out when they put it back in, they didn’t install it correctly. So I called Closet World and told the rep what happened and she keeps telling me that the installers are not allowed to take appliances out. But they did. The dryer was working perfectly well before they came to install it and then it’s not working and the guy told me they didn’t touch the dryer.
So over a week later, I finally talked to the manager and told him I had paid for my cleaning lady to come. I need my dryer to work and to get the original people who installed them correctly to come reinstall my washer and dryer. And I showed Amy, the girl from Closet World, a huge refrigerator freezer, and I could wobble it with one finger after they reinstalled it back in. So, he said, “Fine. We’ll pay the bill.” So I had the real people to come back and reinstall it correctly. They pulled out the dryer and showed me behind the dryer at the wall, the gas was turned off. The bill was $550 and I've given it to Closet World. It’s been a while and I don’t have the money yet!
They also came back and put in the countertop. It was like this little raised back-to-back splash and Amy came back again to look at it. It wasn’t screwed to the wall, so that the end of it was like basically “butt out” sticking out. I can push it, and it seems to be attached to the wall. So, this is pulling everything off. She also noticed which I pointed out to her, at the very end of the counter there was a chip. But Amy took a picture of it and there was chip in the laminate.
Then the cabinets were enormous. I went and I put stuff in it after they’re installed and they immediately started going down. We immediately took stuff out of it. The manager told me what they do is just replace it with a thicker piece of wood at the bottom. I thought they should take those cabinets out and put in some mini sections and maybe three different sections with a shorter span.
They came back to replace the backsplash and it’s really weird because where they put the seam is so awkward. If I touch the edges, it feels roughed up again. And it doesn’t even look like they put the new bottom shelf in the cabinets at all. My husband said it’s exactly the same, that when I open it, I’ll see that the bottom won’t look like the other shelves because it’s thicker. They have been here so many times and messed everything up and I've paid them in full. It’s so very upsetting. Yesterday they left with the drill here. Closet World can have it back when they correct all the problems in my garage because since I've paid them in full, I have no say in any of this.
They’ve been here so many times, it’s unbelievable. On one end when I open up the garage, I’m looking at these built-ins and all the stuff from the built-ins to one refrigerator which is closest to the door. And then the wall that goes down the side of the built-in that I face when I open up the garage door, doesn’t even touch the ground. It’s like a dangling piece of plywood. And I showed that to Amy when she came around. I said, “Look at that. What about that?” So, on one of the times they came back, they put a strip at the bottom down there. But like all these strips at the bottom, and the strips between the wall and the cabinet, why was that even left undone in the first place? Why did I have to call them to even fix it? The installer should have looked at that and said that it’s bad. And this was really expensive.
My decorator, who told me to use the girl designer, was here and I showed her what they’ve done to my house and she’s like, “Oh, my god. I am so sorry. I will never, never use her again.” I have a very prominent house here in town. It’s a very old house and people know I did construction. I grew up here, so everyone knows and they would go, “Hey. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done.” If someone knocks here, then they could see it with their own eyes and they’re gonna know not to use Closet World.

My sister suggested Closet World to me. I asked for a Murphy bed so the designer from Closet World showed me some of the pictures and samples and explained it. But, while the installers put it in, they had some problem. It seemed the two didn't talk to each other because I asked for the designer in the first place to put the Murphy bed to be on a side of the wall and she said, "No problem". But then when the people who came and put them together looked at it, they said they could not do it because the wall was not straight. It's 90 degrees so they want us to cut down the foundation and I said, "How can you cut down the foundation of the house? You can't."
So they have to put the Murphy bed to a different wall and I thought they could cut down about almost one foot of the foundation for the height and then about two inches out of the wall and make the Murphy bed. So if they can cut that piece for about two inches, that should fit right in but apparently, they couldn't do it. But then after they finished to put everything together, I called back since the design doesn't look right because the molding for the lowest side is not the same as the molding on the top so it's not consistent throughout the entire bed. It looks right on one side but looks off on the other. I called back to see if they can come out and take a look at it. I sent out a picture to the manager to review it but no response back.

I liked them for my laundry room cabinet because it was customized and affordable. I prefer real wood but if I tried to customize it, I wouldn’t be able to afford it. The interaction with the designer was great and she was awesome. During the installation, there was a bit of a mix-up in which they had the wrong door. It was not a major error, but it did take some more time. I didn’t realize it unfortunately until the end, but Closet World was still awesome. No problems, very happy, which prompted me to use them the second time. The second one was very poor. Three times they came. They kept forgetting pieces, breaking pieces and even on the last visit, they didn't have the necessary pieces. It just so happen that the installation guy had some on his truck. So I asked them where they are, then I went down and picked up six more shelves. That was a little under planning on the part of the designer, but he was very nice. The installer was good as well. I had a small closet that has the two sliding doors in my master bedroom. And I dismantled it myself and Closet World came in and put the closet. It was easy to design, which was nice. The designer did what I asked for and it was nice to work with her. The installation was pretty quick and the installers were good. My house apparently sloped a little bit. So, they to had to rig it a little bit to fit. If you get down and looked level on the floor, you could see some gaps and stuff in it. But if you just glance at it quickly, it looks flawless. But when they cleaned it off, I didn't realize it was gonna have that much of a strong scent. And I have a baby in the house so we went for a walk-in at the place and it has been pretty good by the time we came home.
My biggest complaint would be that it's definitely overpriced. Closet World had the special 50% off at the time, but they mark everything up in hindsight. The closet is 8 feet wide by 10 feet high and 2 feet deep, and that was $1,800 which was supposed to be up to 50% already. Other than that, the closet is decent and it's what I expected.

I had to wait a little while for Closet World but they came in and did a very nice job. They called to let me know they are coming and the exact time. The young man that did the installation was very polite. He left everything as clean as could be. I had the dark wood installed and had one quite large closet down there. It was a big closet and I had jewelry drawers, scarf hangers, baskets, hampers and all kinds of shelving installed. I also had a smaller closet than normal done for my husband. They also did double hanging, lovely shelves, large shelf up above for out of season stuff.
Then they came back because they forgot the scarf thing. The installer said, "I'll be back at 10:00 tomorrow," and he did. He came in and was gone in half an hour. I live in Vegas and this is a shock to my nervous system because nothing gets done in Vegas without four trips. And Closet World was able to finish it in two trips. We were doing a big remodel in our house and we were going to have our contractor or whoever's going to do our cabinets to get it done, but he suggested calling Closet World instead. We ended up having them because it was going to be more cost effective. We had them do three closets in all three bedrooms and the designer was outstanding. She came right over and got the appointment set up. We told her what we were looking for, she gave suggestions, drew up some plans and explained what we can and cannot do because of the closet size.
I was, however, initially disappointed with the installation. I had it set up and they scheduled it out in advance. I explained to them a time that I had to leave by because I had to pick up my daughter from school. It’s a remodel so we were not living in that house and we were a distance away from it. But a guy called later and said he was running two hours behind. Apparently, he had another installation and that was taking them longer. So it was upsetting because I told them that if there was any way that I could wait another day or couple of days, I wanted to be the first appointment. I had to leave and I didn't have room for anything else. But when I explained everything to the guy when I called the customer service group, he pretty much told me that I was out of luck and the next installation was two and a half weeks away.
I called my sales rep, who was my designer. She answered her phone whenever I called her. And even if she may think it was a ridiculous question, she never made me feel like it was. She then suggested that I email this one group. She said that all the honchos and dispatch get that email. I sent the email and within the first five minutes after I hit “Enter”, I got a call from a dispatch manager in charge of that whole group. He had me set up two days later and was the first appointment.
I told my sales rep that with their guy who called me back, I couldn't have asked for anything better so I was thankful. The installation process started bad but this guy took the ball and he took care of everything. The reaction that I received from them was outstanding. The installation was also great. The closets were done and all set up the first time. In the office, I had two built-in desks and some cabinetry storage space put in. I also had some shelving and storage space put into my pantry and I had a TV area, media center type of thing put in.

He drew the design the way I want so I told him I'll go with it. The installers came out and they are great. The only thing that I was having problem with is that they somehow was missing two of my doors. Adrian, the guy who managed my project, tried to make it happen for me and I appreciate it. But at the same time, it took a lot of rescheduling just to get someone to my house. I have to take like a whole day off from work just so that they can get the installation done. Also, no one told me that it will take like day just to get it done. Other than that, everything else is fine. I have no complaints.

Closet World is an established company that's been around for a while and they’ve had a reputation. Their designers are very knowledgeable, patient and overall, very professional. The products installed were for an inside organization of the closet consisting of shelves, new doors, the mirror wardrobe doors and exterior wardrobe doors. We had a problem and had to reorder the doors. Other than that, everything came off as planned and the scheduling was good. Hopefully, I can use them again with the other closets that I have to do in my project. The greatest value I found was in the prices of the shelf, the doors and others. The mirror doors were a bit pricey because they were floor-to-ceiling, but the quality of the product was good.

We get a lot of mail booklets with ads and I saw Closet World, looked them up on the internet and decided to call them. There wasn’t any negative on the Better Business Bureau and they were a large company so I didn’t look for other prices. I had upper and lower cabinets installed in the garage and a board that goes up on the wall that the hooks attach to. I need to buy more hooks and baskets and I can only do it through Closet World. There’s one in Whittier, California where I am and I need to do that. The designer was great and she pointed things out and helped me to understand some of the nuances of colors and matching. The installers were great guys and very relaxed.

I got a mailer that says that Closet World had a significant discount and that was intriguing. So, I called them up. The sales rep was very nice. When I look at the pictures and then look at the end product, I was thrown off a little. The pictures always look better. Even when she drew the diagram, I just envisioned something slightly different. I guess if I spend more, it would look nicer or it was just my closet.
The installer was very fast and efficient. I wasn’t happy that he left some stuff behind, so I had to clean up after him a little bit. But he’s just a human being. He did as much as he could. I asked him to throw some things but he says he can't. I presumed he took a lot of it and then he was going to leave much more but I showed him where the garbage was and then I saw he was going to come back to do the rest but he didn’t. But, they arrived on time. They did what they were supposed to do and they were efficient.
I had some drawers put in, some shelves and some place for my shoes. Space-wise, you just don’t know if it's gonna meet all of your needs. The salesperson can only say that it’ll accommodate this many shoes. On the other hand, the closet was priced right. They know what people are willing to spend, so they were smart to offer a discount and they had options to upgrade it if you want to. I wouldn’t have spent anymore. Hopefully, they’ll improve the cost. It's nice and the quality is good. It's functional and it helps me stay organized which is what I needed. If I ever sell my place, it’ll make it that much more desirable because it's so organized type of thing. I noticed I should have done this myself to make it prettier if I just knew what they were doing, but it's fine. It's not as pretty as I thought it was going to be.

My Closet World experience, the installation and everything, was fine. But I was trying to reach the designer and sent him an email a couple of weeks ago to do another project, and I haven't heard back from him at all.

Closet World was on a sale. They have warranty plus the price and after charges are good. They came on time for design appointment and pricing estimate. Everything is okay but the rep needs more training because she's not an expert to design, a very nice lady though. They are a good company and if somebody wants, I can recommend.

I was looking online and one of the options that stood out was Closet World. I got estimates from a couple of other companies and for what I was getting, Closet World gave a better price. I had them install shelves and drawers in the bedroom. The interaction with the designer went fine, but I have one complaint. After ordering everything and having them installed, I wanted additional shelves, so I kept calling back. I called the same designer twice as I wanted her to place the order and she kept saying she will have to talk to her manager and call me back on the estimate. It's been three weeks, but I haven't gotten a callback. Everything else was fine, though.

I needed a closet so I called Closet World because I've known them for many, many years and didn't want to shop around and do it myself. They installed a closet with a bunch of shelves and places to hang my clothes. The senior designer kind of helped me put the closet together and he's nearby but there's one thing I wished I didn't listen to him. But it's not his fault. It's my lack of knowledge and it's based on his experience. I'm 5′1″ so I have to reach quite a ways to get hung clothes where I should have put shelves, I put a rod instead, so I'm making it work. The installers were very efficient and left the area as clean as they found it. Everything fits well and I appreciate that but I was going to call my designer and ask for another shelf because I have one place where there's room for a shelf and I don't have a shelf there. Other than that, it's good.

We had Closet World install a walk-in closet. Their designer was great and helpful. She was suggesting what we may need or not, and to try this and that. I live in Half Moon Bay and the installer came from Hayward which is over the San Mateo bridge, which is a mess at that time of the day. He had to go all the way back to Hayward and then back home to Palo Alto. So, he was very good. We haven't moved in the home yet but my husband checked it out and everything looked good. He mentioned though there was something that doesn’t slide as easy but if it needs to be taken care of, we can call.

We were doing a closet remodel in a residential home and we got a Closet World flyer, a mail left at the door. They have this discounted type option or advertisement so we didn't do any comparison pricing anymore. The designer was very good and knowledgeable. The installation was a very positive experience and there were no issues. It was one guy who's there for five hours and he did a lot of work so it's pretty efficient. I'm very happy with it and we thought it was a great value.

Closet World is so highly advertised so I tried them and had them install a white, wrap-around closet, shoe rack and hamper. The interaction with their designer took a little longer but it was good. However, getting the appointment, they came later than promised and then it got pushed out. I was waiting all day which got me a little upset but once the installer got here, he was very friendly which made me no longer upset. Overall it was good. They're fast and affordable.
