Closet World installed an office desk and shelves in our home office. The designer was professional and he did a good job. The installation was great, very efficient and it was done really quickly. But their pricing is a little too expensive for the job. There may be better alternatives but we didn’t have the time to do research.

We are repeat customers of Closet World. Their designer, Mike, knew about their products. The installers were prompt. Although, I was concerned with the cedar-lined closet they installed. There were three identical covers but they decided to install the cedar panel with the one that had an electrical outlet at the back of the wall. It was the designer’s fault because that’s where he told them to put it. So, they completely cut the cedar-lining to fit the electrical outlet in and that totally defeats the purpose of having a cedar closet to keep insects and rodents out. The installers came out yesterday and fixed it. They also put in a cedar-lining in the cabinet next to it as a courtesy.

There had been a little bit of an issue with the communication since I worked with Mike and Harry who schedules the installations. The actual two men installed the cabinets but when they left the first time they did the installation, they forgot to bring the two drawers that we ordered. I called immediately to tell Closet World not to charge me until I get delivery of the drawers. I even called to follow up because we still haven’t received the drawer then left a message to Harry and Mike but they charged my account the very same day. The amount was $3,300 and I got charged twice. I called them back and they were a little reluctant to reverse the charges. From the issues we’ve had, it’s better to double-check everything when working with Closet World.

I have never in my life been treated so poorly by such inept people at Closet World. I'm 56 years old and I'm in customer service. It's what I do every day. But these people don't care. All they're good at is saying I'm sorry and it's so meaningless. I hired them to do a job and they charged me a lot of money. It was supposed to be done on the 3rd of November, it was our agreement, but it still isn't completed. I have 20 nails coming through the outside of my finished wall, anchor screws through the wall. And they have been out here eight times. They never return phone calls, they are always late, and they've had two times kept me and my wife. No call, no show.

And I have been dealing with a man who is supposedly a district manager for installations at Closet World in Los Angeles. His name is Roman and he's so careless, he doesn't mind letting me know he can care less. The only person to ever show up on time was the closet designer and I explained to her that I needed it done by Friday. She said it's no problem. A guy is going to come in and it's going to take one day to install the closet. So the guy shows up over an hour late. No call. My wife had to miss work because we didn't know when they're going to be here.

He did one of the rooms very horribly. I got screws sticking through the one side of the wall. He told me that someone measured it wrong and he can't install the closet in one room. He then called his supervisor, a man named Marcus. After that, he did another closet, so we're getting two done. When he seemed to be getting ready to leave, and leave everything hanging, I demanded that it needed to be done. He then told me he would call Marcus again and for a while, he was with someone else. He then said that Marcus is going to call me that night. But I never heard from him.

The guy who came out the first time never put down anything to protect my brand-new carpet. He left a huge mess all over where he drilled and hammered. Screws are all over the floor. He never cleaned after he was done and never said anything, like we're going to come back. Closet World then sent another guy out, but he doesn't have the stuff to do it either. And then the third guy came out, after I had to call and call, and call, and got hold of Roman. This third guy improvised, but he didn't have the stuff as well. He just did shoddy work, like they're trying to fix it as they go. But the stuff I'm complaining about is still not done.

Finally, I got Roman to come out. I showed him everything, and I told him that they have utterly failed, and also damaged my walls. I even showed him the nails poking through the wall in the other room. He then said that it's my fault, that my closets are so thin, and there's nothing to anchor to. I shot back and said that I thought I hired a professional closet installer. I also asked why it wasn't discussed on the day it was sold to me. In the end, he just told me to get a contractor to fix it and then send him the bill. All in all, it was a no call, no show for Roman after I talked to him. So I have reached out to Better Business Bureau, as well as Wells Fargo to make a complaint with their program. If you saw what they did, and how shoddy their work is. And then, to charge this enormous price is just sickening.

I had a really bad experience with Closet World recently. They did some work for a home that I used to own and they did a beautiful job there. Then I called them to my new home that I moved in about 10 years ago to do a closet that had fell. A lady came out to take measurements and she was really, really nice. She had set them in, but for some reason they weren't measured right so she came back out and remeasured them a second time and for some reason, it was off again.

My husband is a pastor and we wanted our closet done before the first Sunday so he could participate in communion. And since he couldn't get to his suits, we just left things there. The people who came out to do my closet told us that we had to get everything, which was fine. So we started getting our stuff and packed it. It was all in the bathroom and stacked on top of other stuff. Unfortunately, the guys who came out to do my closet on the day that they had promised did a closet before coming to my house. I was looking for them early that morning and I even had to call several times to see what was taking them so long. They told me they would be there at 4:00, but when they did, they couldn't do the job because they didn't have the stuff for my closet on their truck.

I wouldn't recommend Closet World to anybody. They wanted me to pay upfront, which I didn't have a problem with since I knew I had to pay the remaining of the balance. There was some guy in the office that these guys were communicating with, and they were talking in Spanish, which we thought they should not have been doing because they were talking English at first. It was very, very, very unprofessional. They started talking in Spanish, and we felt that they were talking about us. The guy told us that he couldn't do the closet and that they were going to leave. So my husband got really upset and he called his lawyer. He talked to his lawyer and told him he could pursue it, unless he just wanted to forget about it. So we just left it alone, but we will never have Closet World coming into our home again.

My experience with Closet World wasn’t great. Nancy, the designer from Closet World, did the garage and she was redoing measurements. I had a closet that I did with her back in 2016 and she did everything great. It was a promotion going for 50% off but I had to put things on hold because my grandfather wasn’t feeling good and he was in hospice. She asked me if I was ready to do my closet and I said I wasn't since people were coming in and out and the timing wasn't good. She gave me the price for my closet and told me that I pay the deposit down to keep an appointment whenever I want and the price would still remain.

A year went by and another designer, Lucio, called me and asked me if they want to set an appointment to do my closet. He came and took measurements. We went by promotion to panels but I didn’t know how small they were. My closet was huge and it’s wide. We had the design and he gave us the price and the financing, too. I put a deposit down and the balance for my design that I had 2016 that I had couldn't be used on the account because it was a new contract. They could only reimburse me which was okay with me. I waited for someone to reimburse but time went by and there was no communication. Lucio said that I speak to Martin, the man that was in charge of that. And so I spoke to him and he said not to worry and they would figure it out.

Time went by and still, there was no phone call. I tried to get ahold of Martin and they told me he was on vacation. After that, they didn’t want to do it. They said it went to the new closet and I said that that was my design and my closet and this was a whole different thing going on and the person I spoke to said that they would see what they could do. I spoke to a supervisor named Greg and he said that they could not reimburse me. I told him my situation and he said that they couldn't do it for me and it was going to the next closet that I redesigned with my designer.

He gave me an attitude and he said, "Gosh, this is awful". I told him that he had no sympathy or courtesy. I could undo my closet then and I was doing my closet again. I told him that there was lack of communication and I know that the customers should be right. I told him that I would not be referring anyone to them because of the way I was treated and he said, "Are you done? Are you done?" I told him that that was totally fine and said goodbye. After that, with all that commotion in the mail comes after the closets done, they reimbursed me.

In addition, we have holes in our closets. My sister lifted the shelving and turned it upside down because she was taking it to make it wider. She noticed there was a hole in the panel which we both did not see when they first put it in there. I just barely noticed that my closets were dented which we paid for. I understand that it's not perfect but the quality wasn't good and work was sloppy. On the other hand, the installer was really courteous, sweet and cleaned his mess. It was like his first time working because he wasn’t so sure what to do.

I didn't bother going back to them because I didn't want to do anything with them anymore. It would take forever and they would make a big deal. So we'd leave it as it is. Nancy came back and I told her about my experience about the garage. She was sorry for what I went through and said she would do a right job for me. I told her that the house belongs to my grandfather's brothers and sisters and that there are kids. When they want to study, they're going to see what was done in the house. The closet is nice but they could have replaced it because it’s not right to hide something and then just leave. My mother paid too much for what was put in there.

The people that I spoke to on the phone with Closet World were rude and I got a runaround from them. They were the ones representing the company and they were supposed to show that since what would make me want to refer other people to them would be how well they were and how they did a great job. On the other hand, Nancy is a good designer, courteous and compassionate. I would recommend only her because she’s been very great and understanding. I hope that the next people that they'll give me would be more compassionate, courteous or have a sense of heart and people whom I could work and communicate with.

Closet World installed a night-type quality white laminate closet in the master bedroom. It had a matte detailing on it and they also chose some crown moldings so it dressed it up and it looked pretty. Their designer was a gem. She had a high level of knowledge and was very skilled, and we loved her. And the installation was perfect. Their installer was on time, knowledgeable, personable, got the work done and went ahead of schedule. He did everything all by himself and did a great job. However, I ordered a drawer and there was a mishap so he came back and set it up. I had a fun and exciting experience and the closet turned out not only beautiful but also organized. I love it and would highly recommend it.

We liked what Closet World’s initial design was. They also had an offer that is like an ATM and same as cash which was attractive. We had 11 drawers plus a see-through metal basket. We also put in an armoire with doors completely closed with glass inserts. Some of our upper shelving have doors with glass. We went all the way to the ceiling and put crown molding and a kick plate on there. We had some double hanging and some single hanging shelving as well as shelving behind the door. These were all installed in the master bedroom.

Caroline, the designer, did a good job explaining their products. She brought a little sample case of what the actual material was. But, there were a few things I found out that were available that she didn’t tell me about. She didn’t tell us also that there was an upgrade option on the drawer guides I didn’t like. I found that out later through Craig and got them. Caroline would also tell me to call her for any problems but she referred me to someone else every time I called. I thought that once she had the sale she really wasn’t that interested in whether or not I was happy with what was going on. There was always a delay in her getting back to me so I finally stopped calling and dealing with her.

The crew who installed the closet were very hardworking men and spent a lot of attention to detail to make sure it was right. The older gentleman who was the lead guy did a remarkable job and was very meticulous. I was so lucky to have him but he only could work with what Closet World gave him. The closet was supposed to be installed the first part of October. We were delayed six weeks in getting the closet. They called to tell us that they would come early but didn’t happen so Craig made a third appointment. However, they didn’t have the ironing board and it will be done later this week. Finally, the crew had to tear the closet out and started bringing parts. They said the colors were mixed up right. Closet World had the two-tone closet and had it reversed. I told the installers not to cut it because it’s wrong and we had to reorder the parts that took weeks.

I called Craig and told him that something wasn’t right and the closet was not what we ordered. They were holding back and he offered me a $500 discount to accept it as is. I laughed since that closet was not the money we’re spending. Craig called back and offered me $1,000 off. I still refused. There was a section of the closet that we have clear boxes for our shoes and Caroline put it in the plan as 12 inches although she measured everything and we need a 16-inch shelf for this shelving. Craig said that was no problem and he can fix it. It was $130 upgrade to make it bigger but I felt that a company would have offered a discount on what we paid.

We waited long and had many mistakes plus I had a company coming so I need a phone call by Friday telling me that every single thing is here and it will be done when they get here between Tuesday or Wednesday. Craig called me Friday assuring me everything was there, however, I was very disappointed on Tuesday to find out it really wasn’t all there. All in all, I like the product and I love having the closet done more than I thought I would but I wouldn’t recommend Closet World to anybody with all their delays.

I wanted a pantry shelf where I could put my canned goods and stuff. The people at Closet World are very nice but they are very disorganized. They keep making mistakes after mistakes. They do not have a united system and they are not into detail. Even when the installer was making the measurements, I didn't see him writing it down anywhere. How can he remember the measurements which could explain why it was not ordered properly. They admitted they had the wrong measurement and they fixed it. There must be someone in charge of a protocol. If there's a mistake, they can immediately turn in the paper.

The first time the installer came, he said that it was late and he was tired. The second time, the guy said that he switched his truck and his stuff was in the truck so, he won't be able to install it. Then, they came again and instead of drawers, they had flat shelves. If I pull the drawer out, everything will fall out of it. I showed them the picture and I said that I simply wanted just like my neighbor's. The manager said that it was wrongly made and to blame it on the one who made it. They then said they will properly make it. I’ve been e-mailing and calling him. It’s been over a week now and they haven’t sent anyone to fix it. I went with a more expensive company to install the pantry shelf rather than having a handyman do it.

Also, I spent several thousand dollars so that I would not have stress associated with it. I had already paid my contractor and he was going to install whatever I buy. The designer had a design flaw where I could not access my pre-existing shelves that were above it. She made a sale and then when I wanted to talk to the manager to correct something she did, she was nowhere to be found and she wouldn't return my text. I felt like it's just about making the sale.

When they came to me, they said they would have to charge me more to correct the mistake and I was furious. How do I know that they don’t purposely do it wrong so they can charge the customer later? It was ethically wrong. They should be refunding me for the number of days I’ve had to miss work and how many times they came late and canceled the same day. There was one time when I was waiting at 10 o’clock and they said they canceled it because the guy didn’t turn in the measurement so, they never made it.

I emailed Andrew asking when it will be installed. I have everything in email and their confirmations for when the people were supposed to come. I would ask the manager to send me an e-mail because I got canceled on or people would come so late and waste so many of my days that I would require of them to send me an e-mail confirmation and they would send me the e-mail confirmation but still they would either not show up or show up late. All this time, they came late for their appointments.

I was wanting to recommend them because my sister is redoing all of her closets and she’s doing several bedrooms. I’m very forgiving if they make up for it to make customers happy but they haven’t really done that and I still don’t have it delivered. It’s been five times that they tried to install it and we are still not there yet. I will not use them again. On the other hand, there was one thing that they accommodated me on with the designer. I needed to move one of the units somewhere else and they said they would include an extra piece without charge.

The closets were supposed to be wall to wall but the measurements were taken section by section. If they had been taking wall to wall, the measurements would have been done a little better. But it came out nice and I was totally satisfied with the initial installation. I had double racks, tall single racks, and a shoe wall. The designer was nice, very pleasant and accommodating. But Closet World should have a better process as far as the measurements go and there should be a more precise way on the computer, where you should see the sample as opposed to the draft drawing or pictures that the consultant has to go by.

The installers showed up on time and were professional. They did what they were supposed to do and came back when they were supposed to come back, and completed whatever it was that they didn't have at the initial time of the installation. They did an excellent job with the measurements that they were given. The overall installation took nearly half a day and we were satisfied. We had a follow-up appointment because they didn't have the proper crown molding in their truck. So they came back the following week and installed it. Then we cancelled the backing that we were going to get, and ended up looking better without it. It would have looked cheap with the actual backing that we required in the beginning, and Closet World refunded us the money we paid for it.

A friend said that Closet World does good work. It was a good deal. We were able to take advantage of a holiday discount and we also asked for promotionals. We had them install a closet in all the bedrooms, as well as in the hallway. The designer did well too. She went through everything that we needed to and gave us the options. She did the design and then we went back and forth on it until we decided on a design that will work for us. We had a limited space and what we got was what we managed to work with. Now that we’re using it for a couple of weeks, it seems to be working for us. It was one guy that came to work on our closets. He came on time and finished all closets in four and a half hours. However, I did not know that there is a dispensing fee of $50 until I asked the guy to take away the pile of junk on my driveway. They should have notified us of the fee. But, it was a good experience overall. I’d recommend them.

Closet World had 40 percent off, free installation and delivery so I gave them a call. I had some cabinets put in my garage. The Closet World designer was a great guy. He’s an elderly guy who's been doing it for quite a few years. He was so precise and I knew exactly what it was going to look like and exactly what the cost was going to be. He gave me advice and suggestions. It was perfect and I was very pleased with that. The installers were fine. They were right on time and stuck to their job. They showed me how to change the shelves afterwards. But then once they left, I noticed that two of the doors didn't close evenly. One was about an eighth of an inch jutted out from the other one so I called the service right away and said that ’m sure it’s just an adjustment and there’s where the trouble began.

Nothing has happened. I called the salesperson and the designer back, and I was up to nine calls of, “Oh, this guy is going to call me back.” He hasn’t and tomorrow would be a month. The only person who has done anything at all is my designer. He has done as much as he can and said it was referred to upper-level management. That was about a week ago and I’ve heard nothing. I’m also happy with the cabinet although it needed minor adjustments. The experience is ruining a perfect Christmas and I can’t refer anybody to them because what if it was something bigger? It also made me question how long the warranty lasts. I also can’t even get anybody out there in a day or two after it’s been installed. But when they come out, I’m sure it will be fine and I’ll be happy.

She came out, did what she said she was going to do, and did her plans. She emailed us as well making sure that everything went fine and kept us up-to-date on the process. It was quick. The installers came out and did excellent work. One thing that could have been improved though was letting us know what time they were going to be here. I actually had to call the day before around 6:00 to find out when they were going to come. But other than that, everything went great. They came and were done within a couple of hours.

I’m perfectly satisfied with the two cabinets and the cabinet without doors but with the cabinet that was wedged into a smaller space, I am not satisfied. I called Closet World on that right away. The designer had designed it exactly to the open I mentioned, which was not very efficient for the installers. They needed a little wiggle room when they had a pre-assembled cabinet that they were loading up, and there wasn't enough space for them to do that. It chewed up my walls a bit, and the fiberboard of the cabinet got chewed out. For some reason, they were like gouges in that and I was not happy with that because it compromised the ability to carry the weight and it exposed all that fiberboard to the moisture. We live right by the waters so we have to deal with the moisture, and that was the whole reason I went with new cabinets. The old ones had morphed.

I called right away and customer service was awesome. They sent another crew over with another cabinet to replace the ones that have been disfigured, and they explained to me that there's no way that that type of cabinet could work. It took another week and a half or so and they resized the project, and we all agreed to it so they made good on it. I was not happy with the first installers because I gave them every opportunity to tell me if they had any problems. My walls were gouged and the floor coving was ripped so I asked them if they would glue it back together. All they told me was it was up there putting it in. It wasn't until they left when I got down on my hands and knees, and I was sweeping out the extra dust that had been left when I saw the gouging out on the bottom. I was so disappointed that they hadn't told me about that. I would've understood if they told me and then we would have known what we were dealing with.

One other thing, the original problem does not lie with the designer who listened to what I wanted, which was a cabinet to fit that space and measured it exactly to fit that space. That was a real disconnect between what was desired and what was possible. The two arms of this industry need to work better together because the customer can be educated but a disappointed customer takes really far in the wrong direction. They rectified it and they made good on it though, and I'm satisfied.

My closet had fallen down and I was desperate to have it fixed. I was having trouble getting closet companies to call me back and set an appointment and I ended up with Closet World. I have a walk-in closet with four walls and they built two of the walls. My experience with the sales lady was good initially but towards the end, she didn't have time to meet with me and I felt like I was tricked and misled in what I was going to be getting. I wanted to have a closet done before my husband got home and she told me she'd call a designer or the builder. She then set something up.

After a week went by, I called her back nad it was then that we played phone tag. She called me at 9:00 at night, I had to get up for work at 1:30 in the morning. When we finally got in touch, she told me she got in touch with the builder, but she had not heard anything back. I told her that before she had to get in touch with a builder, she had to come and re-measure the closet since it was measured incorrectly the first time.

Instead of re-measuring the first time she was here, she said she'd just have the designer or somebody come in and do it. Nobody showed up though. In the end, we got the work done, a day or two after my original date to have it done. And a day or two before the installation, the sales lady came over and I asked her if I should patch the holes in the wall before the closets were built and she said there was going to be paneling over the holes. I thought of the old paneling in houses in the 1970s or 80s so I thought that my walls were going to be covered.

After the builder did the first wall, I told him that the sales lady told me that I was going to have paneling but I still saw the holes in my walls. I asked about the stuff that went on the back, But he told me that my paperwork stated that I didn't have it and he showed it to me. I texted the sales lady and she said that I had paneling that was buildout on the closet. She then said she was with a client and would call me back but I didn't get that callback. The builder though was very nice and professional and it took him all day to work on the closets. He didn't take a lunch or a break and he was as in and out for as he could have been. But in the end, I paid for the closets and it is what it is.

Closet World also trapped me in the refund policy. I had three days to cancel and the sales lady was supposed to call me on the third or fourth day but she never showed up or called. By the time she did, I couldn't cancel 'cause it was too late. So it had been a horrible experience and I'm not going to call Closet World for my other two walls. They could have a better communication or help the customer better understand what it is exactly being paid for. They didn't have a price list and the sales lady made it up as she went. I would have liked to see a hard copy of a price list because I think I overpaid for what was done. I feel duped.

My friend told me that she had a good experience with Closet World so I got them to do my garage cabinets, drawers and sliding doors. However, the installation was a nightmare. First of all, I had four meetings with the woman that they sent and after each meeting, I never got all the information I needed. She had to keep coming back and she was very nice and patient but I don’t think she had experience or she didn’t know what she was doing. I’m really busy, so that was hard for me, but I was patient because I wanted to see this through. And then, the nightmare began. She kept telling me installation would take one day, but when the installer showed up he told me that there was no way that it was a one day job. I had plans to have people empty the garage and put things back in a certain timeframe, so I had to rearrange that, which was really hard.

Also, the installers immediately said that they could not do the cabinets with the way they were cut. The initial salesperson did not take into account that I had large beams in the ceiling and so they didn’t cut the cabinets for that. There were also electrical outlets that I had to tell the woman, “How are we going to address those?” I had to help her and then they had to recut some cabinets and rework the plan. That took another day and then the installer’s manager promised me that it would be done by the following day, and the following day they didn’t show up until 4:00. So of course it wasn’t completed. They had to come back, and every time they tell me they were coming, they never came at that time. They came much later in the afternoon, and they didn’t bring the right handles and so they had to come back a few times.

I could see from what was happening that Closet World kept calling the installers on the other jobs. Closet World really works the installers crazy hard, and I felt like as soon as the sale was done and Closet World had my money it was over. I went through their Whittier store. I called their company and spoke with the vice president and he had an attitude with me. My impression was once I paid and signed their paperwork, they could care less how it happened. If people are having the experience I’m having, the only thing that is saving the company are the installers. Whoever my installers were, they were amazing. They were hard working, had great attitude and they knew what they were doing. Without them I would have lost my mind.

If anybody ever asks me, I would tell them that I went to Closet World but I would tell them how horrible the experience was, which is a shame. I tried to work with them. They’re making too many commitments because they’re more concerned about making the sale. They’re not being realistic about how long it does take to install something and so they’re misleading the customer. Also, the woman they sent me was not at all qualified to measure anything in there. Whoever does training did not train her. They’ll eventually lose customers because it can’t possibly work this way. I like the cabinets and the installers, but not everything else.

The person I dealt with from Closet World gave me a great price. Price is probably the number one, but she was great. She listened to me and acted like she really cared. She wanted me to be happy. The installers were super tough at over anything but they were pleasant too and they did their job well. And I love the master bedroom closet that they installed for me. Although, I might need to have one drawer replaced because the finish was a little bit marred. But it’s just a blemish, it’s nothing bad.

The only thing I noticed was that it took me a long time to get them installed. By the time I placed my order, I had to wait about three weeks out and then I was going away so we had to make it further out yet. I booked it mid-October and I got it installed on the 19th of November. We were gone for two weeks. I asked if we could have it done before we leave but they couldn’t. It was made while we were gone. So, we had to wait another week later. They were really booked up. That was my only bummer, but it was worth the wait. The closet is beautiful and it was a very good experience, overall.

We had Closet World install some closets in the garage before and now we had a walk-in closet done at the Master's bedroom. We told the designer how to do things and multiple times she was messing up the price. But, she was really flexible and she was trying to make it work for us so that part was really great. The installer who came was great and he did everything as required. He had to remeasure and readjust things because the designer didn't do the measurement correctly and the work he has done was great.

However, the color that we got was not the one that we chose and the material they used were already old. We had spoken to one of the supervisors and he tried to do some adjustments. He said that he'll place better doorknobs and he'll add shelves but I would have appreciated it if an extra door was done because it was a $6,000 installation but it looked like cheap wood and looked like a $2000 stuff. I really felt sad about that. I'm happy that the supervisor came down and talked with my husband about my husband's feedback but when someone is unsatisfied and you have really bad quality, try to make up for it by giving better things, not trying to be cheaper or doing it cheaper with the rest.

Also, they didn't show up on the date they scheduled the installation. I didn't like that they made me wait with my garage all messy for over a week. But they did the work okay.

The designer was great and she communicated back on the designs on some of the things that she thought would work and fit better. The installation was quick, perfect and easy. It was done in a day when they said it would take up to two days. Overall, they did a fantastic job and I had a great experience with them.

A few years ago, I received a brochure in the mail from Closet World and got in contact with them. I like their work and it made me pick them up over other closet companies. Their designer was considerate, very helpful and kind. During the installation, the installers were very nice, answered questions that I had and were looking out for my best interests on what things I did and didn’t want. They installed cabinets, shelves and closets for us and those products were very sturdy. When one of the racks fell off, they came back immediately and fixed it. But because I rent, I hope that I can take the things with me when I move, put them in my new place, and with me having to pay up parts, Closet World would be able to put them together so I wouldn’t have to have someone else take it apart and do it. I look forward doing more business with them in the future and had referred them to my daughter who’s looking to do work in her place.

They didn't give us the right information and we don't know how to do it. Also on the border, there's a very big space. I contacted two companies to get quotes on getting a closet. Closet World was one of them and they sent out a rep in a timely manner. She got there and she came in with a little care of surprise. I was expecting the convo to take one hour. I worked from home that day, but I just let my people know that I was going to be unavailable for that one hour. She was in my home for three hours. It took a long time and she made some odd comments and sat on my bed which was weird.

I told the rep what we wanted out of their service. I was open and interested in her ideas. But ultimately, my husband needed to see and sign up on whatever we agreed to because it was going to be his closet and she was good with that. I asked her some questions about the design and functionality of the closet and she said, "Oh, well, when I send it to the design team or the installation team, they'll measure all that out and figure it out." They will tell us if there is any problem. I was like, "Okay. Well, I really don't understand how that's going to work, but we'll just go through the motions." We got to the end, she had the plans, and she priced down. She called the manager and see if they can take an additional percentage off or ask about certain parts.

There were things that I asked her about and she said she didn't have them. Then, I would I find them in the magazine and I would dig into the page, encircling them. She was like, "Oh, we do have that," which I thought was weird because I feel I did a lot of the work. I didn't feel confident that she knew what she was selling and what the options were. Then, she wrote up the price and I needed all that. My husband came home later and we reviewed it. I went over the cost and everything. Then, she said, "Oh, I need to drop off new plans on Sunday." It was Labor Day and it was an odd day. I was, "Okay. I'm dog-sitting a dog and I'm waiting on the woman to come pick them up." She said, "I'll just put them in the mailbox." She came by.

I didn't review the plans with her in person, but a whole bunch of stuff was taken away. I still have the text conversations and I haven't gotten rid of them. I texted her as I went and said that I'm losing several things and why isn't the price changing. She's like, "Oh, you know, we'll deal with that. The prices are going to change because of XYZ." I said, "Well, that doesn't make any sense. You're literally taking hardware away from me. The price should come down. You literally have a sheet where you're twelve shelves at this much equals this much so if I'm only getting ten, it's only logical..." She said, "We'll deal with it."

If we didn't write a check by a certain time, we were going to lose that price because an offer was going away. We wrote a check with a date on it and she was going to come over and pick up the check. I called her and I was like, "Hey, where are you? I've been here since you were suppose to be here and you haven't came by." And she said, "Oh, I actually am in a training up in some other part of the state so I'm not going to be able to get the check. I'd get it tomorrow." I was like, "Okay. That's fine." We started losing confidence.

The plans had highlighter on them and it's supposed to be carbon copy. I'm like, "What did you submit?" Then, we flipped it over and the plans had been sliced together, like someone took a razor blade. There was scotch tape on the back and I turned them in to Closet World. I turned them in to the new consultant. I said, "What are we getting?" I texted her, which would have been the third business day, which means that we should have been able to get out of our clock. All we were going to do is request a new person. We weren't trying to be like, "Oh, we want to go with somebody else or do something totally different." We have no idea what is actually going to be installed on the installation day.

We went up through the chain, not to her direct manager. We went above that, the one that oversees all of the consultants. We had a horrendous experience with him. He was never in the office and he would say, "I will return your call back 6:00 pm." I would wait outside of the manager places so that I would not miss his call. He would not call me back and I left him numerous messages.

I am not resorting to calling his cell phone but I'm not going away. They have $4,000 of mine as a deposit and I have nothing to show for it. I gave him full timelines and I gave him copies of text conversations. Then, it was like, "Oh, he's been out for a week for training." I'm like, "The person that picks up your main line just told me that you were back in office on Thursday and now, you're out for another week for training?" He's finally calling back and he said, "Look, I'm just going to refund you your money." I was like, "Okay. That's fine." And he said, "But I want you to talk to her manager."

The manager called me and she just said, "I understand that this was handled completely incorrectly." She's like, "There's actually other clients that she's dealt with that there's some complaints. She's no longer with the company. We have some that's totally great. Would you be willing to give them a chance? They've been with the company for this long. They are one of our top sellers." I was like, "Yes, that's fine." I was like, "What are we going to do about the money?" She was like, "Let's have you meet with the consultant. If you're willing to work with them, we'll deal with the money. We'll either give you the check back or we'll take off money off of your final or maybe it will come out to be pretty similar."

She sent this woman over who was fantastic. She draws it exactly as we want it. The price is less, which should have been. She explained how the corners will come together, where there was going to be open space or there wasn't going to be open space. She did an amazing job. They ended up keeping my deposit check and I wrote a very small check upon installation to pay the difference.

I felt good about all that. Then, there was one thing missing. Like in the plans, we had paid for and written in that the top central was going to be lockable. We just didn't get the lock on the drawer. They're coming January 3rd and they offered to come earlier, but it's too close to Christmas. They picked the date and gave me a time. In my opinion, everything is resolved. But there was a month, where I was calling this guy, three times a week; sometimes two times a day, towards the ending. Between the manager, Mary and the original consultant, it was literally like a terrible experience. The manager above Mary was great. He gave options and I had decision-making abilities.

The installation guy was great and super nice. He did a fantastic job and I was super happy with it. The closet wasn't installed until early November. Part of that is just the lead time for installation. But the majority of that was been in limbo just trying to get this guy on the phone and get resolution and basically get him to take all the information from her and from me and say, "Okay. This isn't adding up." They definitely didn't offer me anything for this terrible experience. They wouldn't take an additional 10% off. It would have been nice if they had.

Also, the other company gave a more expensive estimate than what Closet World offered. The designer came and she was good and patient in answering all the questions. But she needs to be more careful about the measurements. She took basic measurements from the front of the space but that wall is a little bit curved and not perfectly straight so that really caused the problems later on when they came to install.

The installation team came when they said they would come and did the work without bothering me too much. The top and bottom measurements weren't the same so the parts didn’t fit perfectly. They had to order the new parts and it delayed the project almost a month. Because of the delays, they gave me free upgrades. Then once the right parts came, they repaired and nothing was done after that.

I had three projects with Closet World. Two projects was in one day and that was in my master’s suite bathroom and my daughter’s walk-in closet. And then the other design was supposed to be for our hallway closet for linens, towels, blankets and extra stuff. Their installer came by and forgot to bring and install some stuff. He said he wasn’t aware of it so someone had to come back just for that. Also when he was installing a part of the shelf he ended up making extra, unnecessary holes. And the vinyl wall where we put the closet in does not have a typical drywall paint but a Venetian Plaster paint so it looked ugly because it's very noticeable and it’s the first thing you can see.

With the second design the designer said that there was going to be some shelves. But when the installer came and I asked him about those shelves he said there were none on his work order so he didn’t bring any extra. My wife was supposed to call to reschedule for them to come out and bring them. They also didn’t do the upper crown molding on it. So we're still missing shelves and the crown molding on our second design.

But the second time the installer came to put the second design he did bring that extra rack and he installed that but he couldn’t do anything about the holes. That’s something that obviously they won't take care of. The only thing I wanted was for them to bring those shelves and bring the crown molding. Those things are already paid for.

I had a huge basement in my house in Pennsylvania, so the closets in the garage took the place of having all the storage in the basement. It has white doors, white finish inside for easier cleaning and it is neat-looking instead of just having open shelves. I shut all my Christmas stuff in there and extra storage space for suitcases, garden supplies, and garden tools. It was more than adequate to hold everything that I needed and my daughter is jealous.

Also, there was a 40% off coupon which was a big incentive. In addition, the designer and the installers were great. The guys that came were very thorough and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the service all the way around and I would recommend them.

We had a really good designer from Closet World. She came to our house a couple of times and she was very accommodating with our design and the decisions we were trying to make. She guided us through that so we stopped our search for other closet companies there mostly because of her input and the time invested. We had them install an entertainment center and the installation was a bit shaky. They brought the doors for it and they forgot a piece so they came back the following week with that piece so it took about a week and a half to finish the installation after getting the parts and making the appointment and we didn't like that.

The customer service beyond the designer wasn’t as good and we also had issues with the manager. My husband, who is a lot more diplomatic and patient than I am, tried talking to him and even that didn't work out. But, what really saved it was the designer. We ended up going back through her to troubleshoot some of the issues and she really went above and beyond and she took care of it even though her part was finished. We had ordered a certain colored door but they brought one having the wrong color the first time. And then, the second time they brought the wrong color again but they were trying to convince us that it was the right color even though we were sending the manager pictures of what was in our house. It was a lot of back and forth. That part was very difficult and very frustrating and that was definitely a bad experience so we went back through our designer and had her take care of it and she did.

In the end, they came back and they installed the right one and they installed it properly. The second installers who came were a lot more professional and more competent too because initially, the doors were installed crooked and the first installer was trying to say that it was our floor that was uneven even though the doors had nothing to do with the floor because the doors were installed higher on the unit itself. Their designer represented the company well because we weren’t happy with the process but in the end, it looked good. We're happy with that and we might do another project for our other room through them but we're hoping it will go a lot smoother than it was the first time.

I was a little concerned with the installation because Closet World's reps gave me a time range. And then, the installers showed up two hours after. It was not the installers' fault because they had a project to deal with and I understand that, but it was a little disappointing when I called in and they couldn't really give me an answer. So I was kind of stuck waiting in limbo a little bit. But besides that, everything was good. The two installers were very friendly and when I had questions, they answered them. Closet World installed in the garage, on one wall and a workbench, on an entire wall in the dining room, and a lower cabinet in the office. I had multiple appointments with their saleslady and she was pleasant and courteous. She also did a pantry cabinet in the kitchen on top of all the others. The installers were also good, except when the dining room cabinet was first brought in, the shelves weren't big enough. They brought the wrong shelves and the second time they brought it, they had the wrong countertop on it. It was orange and it was supposed to be a brown.

So finally on the third time, they got the top and the shelves right but there was supposed to be a backing which they didn’t have. They only got it right by the third time so I was a little concerned about that. Then they also gouged the wall and I have a brand-new home, so I was a little concerned about a couple of big dents. But I spoke to their installation head and he said to go ahead, have it fixed and send him the receipt which I did and which he should have by now so I hope they promptly refund that.

Initially, I was attracted to Closet World's 40% discount but it turned out to be not really a discount. My neighbors told me about this other company that they used that did not have a 40% discount but even with the Closet World's 40% discount, that company's built-in was less money. I've looked at it too and they did a very nice job. My neighbor and I both felt that Closet World's prices were raised and then discounted so I'm little disappointed in that. I was going to do an upper cabinet but now I’m debating whether to go with Closet World or this other company.

A neighbor had Closet World install his closet and the closets looked nice. I looked up the company on the internet and got their phone number. Their designer was very nice and she did a good job on the design. It was very simplistic and serviceable. In the guest bedroom, I had sliding closets which were small and in the master's bedroom, I had a double-hanging thing on one side. I also had a bay with a couple of drawers and the laundry basket which was really cool. Then I had another double thing and some shelves for shoes and shelves on top. However, the installation process was not great. They said that it was going to be a five to six-hour job but they sent just one person to do the work and it turned out to be a 12-hour job. Still, I would recommend them.

The Closet World designer came out and I was well pleased with the design she did. She accommodated the last minute changes that I wanted, incorporated it and re-sketched them back to me. I had two products installed, one in the master bedroom, which was kind of like a built-in dresser cabinet. And then I had a guest linen closet/make-up area in the guest bathroom. Those were installed on two separate days and both products came out perfect and exactly the way I had it designed. The price I paid for it was fair market value accounting the labor and everything that was utilized to put the products.

Overall, they were very clean, courteous, picked up after themselves and they were timely. I'm very well satisfied and I would recommend it if you have a project. Call the design person, get their input, the proper measurements and utilize the full packet versus just buying what you think you want. Have it designed out and properly installed and you'll also be satisfied with it.

Closet World's sales rep was very knowledgeable and helpful and I really liked her. I had Closet World install a regular closet with dressers, drawers, and hanging bars. The installers were clean and professional and they did a great job. However, I got some of the deeper drawers, and Closet World's hardware is not very sturdy. They need to be aware that for the size of the drawer, they're going to need more sturdy rails for the drawer to slide so they don't wobble. But everything else was a nice and I had an easy and enjoyable experience. They were on time and thorough, too.

Though Closet World saleslady was very nice, I wish that I had understood a little bit more about how the setup would be. I wouldn’t like it to be a little bit taller, and unfortunately, when they came out to install it and say it would be an 84 even though that was on the drawing and just sitting down on me, I was trying to get it switched. They were not helpful at all in trying to assist with making it tall because I didn’t know that it was going to be placed on the floor. I thought maybe it was going to be attached to the wall so that way I could move the structure up or down and once they installed it, it will be fixed on the wall. I did not understand that the floor was going to be the support. I didn’t ask the right questions though, and that was my fault.

Also, I had called the salesperson to find out if we can just to have additional panels to put shoes, instead of the bar to hang our clothes and how much would it cost to just have the shelves put in instead. She said she can do it but they’re going to charge $100 just to send that out. I didn’t mind paying but it’s ridiculous to charge $100 with three pieces of wood that would probably weigh a maximum of 10 pounds. They need to make sure that they’d be more detailed on the front end.

Closet World had the ability to work with us on what we wanted and the designer was great. She was able to come out immediately when I requested a consultation and she understood how important it was for me to maximize the whole space of what we were going to be getting because of having a little house. She worked with us on the design and had suggestions. When it came down to cost, she was very attentive to that too. We did a hall closet and in two bedrooms, the master and a secondary bedroom, we added shelving, drawers and double overhang closet rods.

They sent one guy for the whole job and he was outstanding but they could have probably sent another guy with him. We were consistently told the job was only going to be a couple of hours but the poor guy was here the night before Thanksgiving from 2:30 to 8:30. He was racing around like crazy trying to get done but he still didn’t have everything to finish the job which was not a good deal for us. I scheduled the second follow-up to bring back the pieces they were missing and they were out here this past Tuesday to finish everything, and that time, two guys came. So far, everything’s good.

We were looking to do our garage so we looked up Garage Envy and found out that they've merged with Closet World. We had the garage renovation as well as installation of cabinets and flooring by Closet World. Their designer was very good and thorough. She spent a lot of time in the garage suggesting what we should do and sketched out the diagrams and plans for the renovation. They were also very good during the installation. The only problem was that they didn't put in the floor that we requested but it was not the installers' fault though because the designer had not specified our choice on the work order. Somebody assumed that we wanted this diamond pattern but we wanted the coin pattern on the floor. We brought that up with them and went through some negotiations back and forth. Then Closet World finally agreed to credit us $350 because of the error. They handled the problem well and seemed to be quite cooperative for the most part too.

My rating would actually be a -1! I spent a lot of money for 5 closets in my house, garage shelves, and a workbench ($5,000+ in total!) and my experience is horrific! I was continually lied to by Joe (an installer supervisor) and Closet World in general. When escalated to the night Supervisor, Randy, he said he had no authority to do anything. As we speak, 12/14, they have taken all of my money and my garage is still not done. Joe promised me that Paul and his team (who walked the job with me on Wednesday, 12/12) would be out this AM 12/14 to complete the job.

It's now 10:32 am and a different guy showed up by himself - Johnny - (not Paul and his crew) without help, without all of the supplies (e.g. peg board missing, incorrect workbench top, etc.), and not all of the tools. This is not a 1 man job as the cabinets are too heavy and high for one person to install. I am completely DISSATISFIED! Still waiting for a call from Jerry, the install supervisor today, to let me know how this is going to be rectified. Of course, Joe, the lying supervisor, is nowhere to be found. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM CLOSET WORLD!!

Closet World completely backed up their product the way they said they would. I bought their product years ago and had a great experience with their reps. They went in, did a deal, and their product has been good. But five years down the line, the screws in the hinges of the cabinet door became undone. So, I called Closet World which was easy-peasy. They came out, looked at it and offered a respectable repair rate which only covered the labor. However, when they scheduled the first time, the guy was a no-show. I had been waiting for it and I wasn’t happy about that. When they finally did the repair, they left a bunch of sunflower seeds all over the floor of my garage so I called them and complained about that.

They also forgot that they were supposed to replace another countertop. They originally looked at it but they didn’t do it when they were doing the door. They had to come out again to do that and I had to schedule again which was horrible. But they came out, did what they needed to do, it's all back in order, and I’m happy about that. Also, Closet World's product does organize and the compressed board has proven to me that it doesn’t completely hang up. So, I wouldn’t detour somebody from utilizing them.

We looked around and we’ve seen other closets that other people got elsewhere, and we're very happy with the walk-in master closet that Closet World have done for us. We hired them after we researched in the internet and they gave us the best quote among the three estimates that we got. Their designer was also very influential in our decision. She was very informative and said that they were unique as they make each person a custom design, which is what we needed for our average sized space. She was also very experienced and had been with Closet World for many years. Plus, she knew exactly what we needed. We had gone a totally different route compare to what we had designed in our heads and what we had drawn on paper prior to meeting other designers.

She saw everything we had and said we didn’t have what the normal Californian and San Diegan has. My husband has a big amount of clothes and we have a lot of stuff. Because of the weight, we had wired racks that were ripping off from the wall even though they were screwed on by a professional. She assured me that Closet World's racks would hold a decent amount of weight so that won't happen. It's been a month and we have had no problem. We did the custom shelving with three-tier shelving in certain areas of the master closet and it went all the way up to the ceiling. Most companies would leave about three feet open above, however, we wanted to utilize every inch of that space. We also added two walls of shelves and about twenty feet of hanging space. The designer measured my husband’s shirt and gave a lot of advice about certain things for myself.

After I had the designer come in and we booked everything, I looked at their reviews on ConsumerAffairs. I got a few bad reviews, but other than that, they were all great. I should have done before but I have no complaints. The installer who came out was very informative, clean, efficient and punctual. He explained everything before doing anything and he would ask if I was okay with what he did every step of the way. So that was also very reassuring. He was quick and finished in three hours. Plus, since I was there alone, he was very helpful in taking everything out. I also didn’t have time to tell him about the prior racks that we had in the home, but he took care of that. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Closet World. We're very pleased and satisfied with the work they did. We have also recommended a few family members and friends to them, and my mom got hers installed this past week.

The house we bought had a room with an office, but there was nothing in it. So, I went out and shopped for bookcases, desk, file cabinets, printer stand, and a place to put my shredder. After I saw how much work it was going to be for me to find all that, and then when I found it, to sort through all the prices and then put it all together myself, I thought, I would just check and see how much it would cost to have someone else do all that for me.

The Closet World designer was great. Since I home-school, I really had a good idea of what I needed so I can visualize and measure just a little bit of what I could fit in that room. Then, she talked to me about what their options were. I explained to her that I didn’t need anything fancy, I needed more function than actual looks. Although, I didn’t want it to look hodgepodge and just thrown together. So she went over with me with their basics and then she showed me what other options I had if I wanted something nicer. I told her that I was fine with basics for the purposes of what I needed the room for.

And so she measured to make sure everything I wanted would fit and that they had everything even though it was not as customized as I thought it would be. They had set sizes for different things and so, I have about five or six inches where the bookcases go up to a corner. But, that worked out fine too because I have some things, like my son’s artwork, which I can’t put anywhere, but they fit in that little corner. Additionally, the guys who came in and did the installation were very knowledgeable about what they were doing.

The designer was concerned about what I’d originally wanted because of where the electrical outlets were on the wall. I understood her concerns about the way I originally wanted it because of where the outlets were, the file cabinet was going to be in front of it, and I wouldn’t be able to access those things very easily. So she drew it two different ways and I agreed to change it from what I wanted. But, when the guys came in to install, they showed me both drawings, which came as a surprise because I had already agreed with the second one. The installer told me that he thought he could do it the way I originally wanted and so I told him that it would be great if he can do that. That's what he did, he turned it around and made it work.

However, they were not able to finish the job the day they came and I scheduled it a month in advance so that was kind of disappointing. They didn’t bring all the materials and they are coming back this Tuesday or Wednesday. I also wanted keyboard things underneath the desk to free up the space on the desk and they didn’t have those. Nevertheless, they did a good job. Everybody whom I dealt with was very friendly. I was very happy with Closet World even though they were very expensive. Everything looks nice. It functions fine for us and everybody tried their best to do what I wanted. I would recommend them to friends.

They were very nice and accommodating, and I was very happy about that. I'm also really pleased that somebody came back today to do follow-up. The only thing I would suggest is that they would make a point of checking around. They were still at work out there to cut shelves until about 7:30 at night and that was already dark so it's hard for them to see it. There were some trash the next day so I had to pick it all up. The supervisors of design and installation did not follow up with me very well until I actually complained a little louder. I actually had to complain to the vice manager who called me back. I don’t think that in the customer service industry I should have to yell before people listen to me. That’s not the way you get clients or keep clients quite frankly or get recommendations for future work.

I had them install a pantry shelving, a little desk area with a cabinet above it and an after-closet. Their professionalism and demeanor were fine and they cleaned up after themselves. But the installation of one part of the product was bad so I had to have them come back out and fix it and they tried to redeem themselves. So parts of the service were okay but other parts of it not so much. The company should make sure that their salespeople don’t look at things solely as a commission because that’s what I ultimately ended up feeling like and no customer ever wants to feel that way. Closet World should be careful of that. I don’t care whether they’re sending out their senior designer which is what they purported to be sending out to me or not but it just should not be that way. I had a five by eight walk-in closet and a reach-in closet which I turned into an entertainment center installed by Closet World. Lily, my sales rep and designer, has been fantastic. She came out after I called Closet World and liked her as well as what she said so I continued getting their services. She was very helpful, did not oversell, and asked the right questions pertaining to what my needs were. We put the project together from there because I only had a little bit of an idea on the entertainment center and it turned out good. She had experience with walk-in closets, so she knew what I needed and what was realistic.

Their installer did a good job installing the units but the guy came with all the stuff all by himself at 11:00 am and didn't leave until 9:00 pm. I'm faulting Closet World for not stepping adequately because a second guy would have cut that job in half. He was so tired after because he had been on a job before he did ours. He then had to come back on his own initiative and fix a couple of things since there were some fillers that need to be done as well as some detail work. He did touch-up, which he came up on his own, and did it very nicely. I also ordered an additional shelf which I didn't think of when we were doing the original product. Lily arranged it, and I got a call from the guys at Closet World and they dropped it off at no charge. Unfortunately, the hole was drilled in the wrong place so we had to do it again. The whole project took three weeks from inception, and they're still going to deliver another shelf back to me, which is fine.

About 5 years ago, my husband had Closet World make a custom closet at our previous home and it was good. When we moved into a new home, we got a custom closet again. It was 50% off and the installation was free. However, the shelving was not measured correctly because now it’s difficult to put stuff on the top shelf close to the ceiling. The boxes I had in the previous home doesn't fit up there anymore. I was hoping the same dimensions would fit into the new home. But I understand, different house, different closet.

Another thing, once that project was completed, the designer never called to ask how everything turned out. They should check with their customers once the project is completed. However, she was great. She was very friendly and met us whenever we needed to meet her. She was also helpful and flexible. She worked with our schedules so we could sit down to design the new closet. The closet was also done when they said it would.

I took out the previous shelving that came with my home since I wanted to paint the closet. Once the painting was done, I could put in the new closet and it would look nice. I didn't remove the baseboard, however, they removed it and just left it in the middle of my driveway. Plus, they wanted to charge me $50 to haul it away. That was that for that project. It was a his and hers closet. There’s shelving for shoes and for hanging. However, it doesn’t feel like a $4,000 closet. It’s not even wood.

The last one to be done was the desk. On the day they came to install it, I luckily peeked in. The design wasn't working for me. It was too small and I wasn’t going to have any leg room. I can't even put my chair in there and move comfortably. They reconfigured it, but one of the desk cabinets was damaged and they had to replace it. The backing of the desk wasn't installed and they didn't install the updated chrome handle that I requested. The desk installation had three parts. When I was there and looked at it, the office did not look like it had good quality. It looks like something you'd get at Ikea for a lot cheaper. I called them and complained. Closet World had to come back anyway because the backing wasn’t there and they didn’t have the doors for one of the cabinets. Plus, there’s a couple of missing pieces.

We read the mail and a neighbor also had a closet done from Closet World. Closet World installed a cabinet in my garage and I was dissatisfied. I was not happy with the visit that I had from my designer. Once we negotiated the price, she tried to change the price without informing us and that was a bit upsetting. And then, when we pointed out, she agreed to the price that she had originally taken. The interactions we had with the installers did not go well either. They did not explain to me what to expect and nobody told me that the garage has to be completely empty. The installation team came and my wife said, "You know you can start working and I'll start emptying the garage."

They were very rude and were not very courteous, and they said, "No, we're not going to start work until it's completely empty." So, she said, "Okay, fine. Then, you know, let's schedule another day." We scheduled another day that was my day off and they called on Monday to confirm that the appointment was for Thursday, which was the day I scheduled. And on Tuesday, they called saying the appointment was on Friday. I said, "No, I scheduled on Thursday," and they said, "Oh, we don't know how the appointment changed," although I did not change the appointment. So, I had to reschedule Friday again because they changed on me without my consent. I was very upset and I called the manager, and they said, "Oh, the installation manager will call you, he's in a meeting. He'll call you one hour," but he did not call. Then I called again, they said, "Oh, he went to lunch. He'll call you when he comes back from lunch," but he did not call me.

I called him again next day, "Oh he's not in the office yet." So, he never called me and then I tried to speak to somebody who's the manager, and then they gave me another manager. He said, "Oh, I can't do anything. I can just schedule another appointment". So, he scheduled another appointment and I emptied the whole garage and waited for them to come. The guys that came were courteous and did a good job. But overall, I had a bad experience with Closet World and I would not recommend them to anybody. It was very frustrating because I had already paid them so I wanted to get my work done. If I had not paid, then I would have canceled my order or I would have gotten it from somebody else.

I have known about Closet World forever and it's always on TV. I looked at other companies but once I had a couple of estimates, they were the best value and could do it the quickest. I had a basic custom closet installed by Closet World. My experience with the designer was okay. She came to my house and we talked about what it is that I wanted. And once I told her that I wasn't going to book that day, she became agitated with me and packed up her stuff as fast as she could, and left. But the other estimates that I got, they couldn't do it for a much longer period of time so I ended up going with Closet World. Their overall customer service was average and I still have a pending issue.

They did a follow-up call with me to see how everything went and I said, "Well, everything was good like the installer did a great job. However, it looks like I'm missing a shelf". And he was like, "Well how many shelves do you have?" I said I only had five shelves, and he was like, "Oh, it's those shelves here that you should have had six, you paid for six." And so, they brought me out the shelf but I was unable to be here when they brought the shelf so they left it on my porch. So, $1000 later, I still have a shelf that's hanging out on the side.

They said I should just be able to slip it right in but I can't so it's currently stacked on the side of the closet because I'm unable to install it on my own. My husband and I both work full-time and we have a baby that's why we tried to get this done, and we have another closet pending but it's a matter of time. I went with them because their turnaround time was three weeks and everybody else was quite a bit longer. Now, I just want to get it done.

Closet World installed closets in the garage and the insides of the closets in my kid’s bedroom. They were half the price as compared to other closet companies. The designer was fine and the installation was very quick and efficient. But what's not good about them was their followup. I didn’t realize the gap between the shelves would be so thick so I’ve ordered extra shelves and I have not received them yet. I haven't even received any confirmation that they got my paperwork back. I followed up with an email, but have not heard anything as well. But other than that, I'd recommend them.

I had a very bad experience with Closet World. I paid cash for the cabinets and they sent Christina to come out and she measured everything. When they delivered the cabinets, I told the man that the floor plan wasn’t right. The cabinets were supposed to be from floor to ceiling and they were not. It has a big old gap between them and it wasn’t to the wall or closed up properly. I talked to the manager who told me that it was correct to let him know and he told me to send over pictures. I had to email him pictures but they never responded back to me. I called back to the agent that came out initially, sold me the cabinets and did the floor plans. But I have not heard from either her or Closet World again. I had to get my contractors in to redo everything in the whole closet. It was just a mess and I was overly dissatisfied.

Their designer was good and knew what she was doing and the guys who installed the unit were very professional, neat, cleaned up and got the job done. I was very happy. Closet World is a well-known company and they had a decent and cheap price for installing some closets for me, but they did not give me what I asked for. I specifically told them that each of the closets needed to be able to hold a laundry basket. The designer said that with the way she was designing the closets, I would be able to do that. But with the way that the closets were actually designed, I now have three bedroom closets that cannot hold a laundry basket. So, the closets they installed were awful and I'm not very happy with the Closet World experience.

The designer was nice but she didn't design the closets properly and she didn't do the job that she said she was going to do. When the closets were done and I called to complain and asked for the closets to be repaired, the customer service people were rude and gave me a hard time, and they told me that I wasn't going to get what I asked for since I had signed off on the design and it was my responsibility that the closets weren't built properly. Then they gave me a couple of free shelves, which was their only solution, so I have to get the closets rebuilt.

I liked the gal that I worked with at Closet World. I'm in the similar business and I had one particular closet that I was very limited with and she liked to work and try and make it happen. I had four closets installed and I'm not super crazy about that because I did not know that they were like a cam lock system. The cam lock system is basically an RTA cabinet, as far as I'm concerned. You buy it from Home Depot or IKEA. And so, it reminds me of something cheap which bothered me, but it's my fault that I didn’t ask. And when I called my sales rep, I told her, “You need to let people know.” I've had a separate closet done at my previous house and it was not a cam lock system.

The installation experience wasn’t great either because I was told that they would be there on a certain day between 11:00 and 1:00 but then, they weren’t there yet at 1:00. I asked, when they called me during the window, if they’ll be able to finish on the same day, and they said yes. They showed up but it was just one guy, and he had a third of one closet done by 6:15. And that was only because my husband, daughter, and son-in-law helped him carry all the panels upstairs. I was not happy and when I called them, I talked to Richard and asked him if the guy is coming back tomorrow, and he said, “We'll send somebody else out there.” There was no way the guy was going to be done. So, if it wasn’t for me complaining at least from what the possibility was, he wouldn’t have been back the next day. And so, he showed up the next day with a helper. And between the two of them, they got there by a little after 9:00 and were done by 4:00.

They forgot a couple of shelves so they brought me some extra shelves. I had actually asked for even a couple more but they forgot those but I'm happy that it was over. And then they didn’t charge me for those. If someone asked if I got anybody to work with, I would tell them that I worked with Closet World but I would also educate them because now I know and felt that I should have known. I should have been educated exactly.

There was a house with the same model as mine at the street about eight houses away. It was vacant so we went up there during an open house and noticed their closet. It was an unusual closet like ours with a slanted ceiling. I looked at it and said that we've been dealing with our terrible closet for 40 years. So I asked the listing agent who did the closet. The agent called the owner who said that they used Closet World. I got their number and called them.

Audrey was our designer and she was really nice. She drew up this whole thing and designed the closet. But the first installers said they couldn't perform the job because the design didn't fit our space. So they left and I called the designer. She came back out and re-did the design but it didn't have the double hangs right. The two corner pieces where the double hangs were supposed to go didn't go right to the ceiling. We went back and forth. The second install turned out well though and we're happy with the results.

Initially, my experience was not satisfactory and the head of the installation department was downright nasty. He sent me a drawing and I approved it but the designer went back and told them to change the drawing. But I had a very good experience with the installer and the designer. We had to throw our old closet out and now, we got a slanted ceiling and it was a narrow closet. We had double hanging shelves and shelves behind. It was a place for shoes and two double hang on either side of the closet. Some things also happened but we got it worked out. And it turned out that they cooperated and fixed it so that it was right.

We didn’t know what type of doors were going on one of the closets that we put organizers in. And so, the way that the designer had designed them did not match the doors that we rounded up putting on the closets so they had to redesign it and come back. That was a slight oversight that before we signed up for the project, we should have made sure that we knew what kind of doors were going on. Other than that, it was fine. I’ve used Closet World often for years in my rental properties and in my home. This time I had mirrored closet drawers installed in my kids’ room. We did three different panels. The designer was good and we had a great experience with her. However, the installation was awful. They installed it but they didn’t test it. So when I came home from being out of town, the doors didn’t line up and all my drawers didn’t open because they didn’t measure correctly and they never tested it when they put them on the rails. So for seven weeks, we couldn’t get kids’ clothes or their bed sheet out of the closet because they couldn’t get it open. My first install was back in the middle of September and we’re now all the way into November. It’s taken them that long.

The original installers came two days early and called me while I was out of town and kept demanding a credit card. But I feel uncomfortable paying the full amount due without seeing the product. But they won’t leave until I pay. So I had my housekeeper go get a credit card and give it to them. And it turns out, they didn’t even pass the first install.

I called and they told me that my floor was crooked. But there were three mirrored panels here before that and all fit perfectly. They said it wasn’t their fault. I said, “How do you explain why I can’t open the doors wide enough to pull my drawers open?” They said they don’t know and that it’s impossible to cut the right size. I had three exact drawers that they took out and all I did was upgrade them to a different style. Then I called the designer and she was supposed to call someone and call me back. They never did. So then I finally got a manager and I said that it was ridiculous. They can see that when all three are put together, the middle one was diagonal. It never lined up a parallel. I will never use them again because that’s the quality of their work and they think that’s acceptable. They didn’t even offer an apology.

A couple of gentlemen that came over had no problem at all with the measurements. They were very kind and thorough, and they cleaned after themselves which I was very pleased with.

Closet World did a fantastic job. However, I had no idea how pricey these things were. We spent thousands of dollars that I thought would entitle very good wood. But that was not the case. They used composite wood and eventually, composite gives in with time. But things turned out looking beautiful and I was very pleased with the end product.

Then we converted a bedroom into an office and they provided the two desks, cabinetry, a wonderful place where we have a coffee machine and a pull-out deal for the color copier and scanner. The work was well done and we’re happy with the installation. The price was reasonable at the time and the workmanship has held up to 18 years of experience. So now, we wanted to reorganize the closet in the guest bedroom and in the office and I didn't even think about anybody else. We called Closet World and one of their managers, Amy, was one block away from us so she came right over and helped us with the design. We kept the same white design and she also gave us a very good price for two closets combined. The process was straightforward.

The installation took place three weeks after we completed the order which was a good timing but there was a little mix-up, which is more of my fault because I'm careless in reading my voicemail and I didn’t see the confirmation. Everything worked out fine. The men who installed were nice, clean, courteous and respectful. They did the installation of the two closets in a little over three hours. It was a great experience. We're happy and we're going to make some modifications in one of the closets to get more shelves for shoes. We'll call Amy when it's time for that. Although, we can do that installation ourselves and it's the matter of putting in more shelves and moving one other thing around.

I had a basic white melamine closet installed in the master bedroom. It's mostly drawers, shelving, and hanging space. Working with the designer was interesting. The designer seemed knowledgeable at the time. However he kept trying to market me, for lack of a better term. And when I asked him to make a design he asks, "You want me to design it right now?" I wasn't going to sign a contract for something that I haven't seen.

The design seemed fine. Unfortunately it just didn't work out that way. He came up with the design and we agreed on the price. He ordered the materials and we got a delivery date. When they came to install the first time the installers re-measured to make sure that everything was going to fit correctly. The installer said that the measurements are incorrect and he's not going to be able to do the job that day. He then called his boss and said that there's a big issue. Since there were windows in my closet the shelving would have ended up in the middle of the window. The installer re-measured, went back and had the materials re-done. They came out to install the second time but there was still an issue with one wall. They ended up calling their boss again and he sent over two more installers that day.

There were three installers here and they installed two walls of the closet but they couldn't finish the third wall. It was measured wrong again. The whole thing took two months. It was a nightmare. They got it right the third time. When the third installer came he said he didn't understand why they did it the way they did but he made it work. It came out okay in the end. One of the installers mentioned to me that there are 12 inch and 16 inch shelving. That had never come up with the original designer. He told me that based on what I talked about it probably should have been 16. But since there were so many other issues I didn't want to start changing things and then fighting about the costs.

They knew that this was a big mix up. Even the drawers that were installed were really larger than I anticipated. Plus they wouldn't roll right on the ball bearings. One of the supervisors had called me to follow up and told me they were coming out to fix all those things. I was also asked if there were anything thing else they need to take care of. I mentioned the drawers to him and he offered to change it for a nominal fee.

I went ahead and had the rollers upgraded. It was somewhat disappointing that after spending hours and hours waiting for people to come and install things, they still wanted to charge me to fix the rollers. They had the best price I could find and all the people that I dealt with were very pleasant. However I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. In hindsight their designer wasn't experienced. Although he said that he's been doing things for 10 years it's truly hard to believe that.

I had Closet World do my master bedroom closet and had a good experience. The designer was good and I liked her personality. The installer who came to put everything together was great all the way around. He explained what he as doing and the parts that he had. I'm going to call them again to get an estimate on my middle closet. I'd recommend them to friends.

Closet World is a good and very responsive company with good products. Initially, I looked up what they were offering and what it was that I needed, and they were offering special discounts at the time so we called and discussed it with one of the sales reps. There was a bit of hiccup with the designers at the beginning but finally, we got through it. At the end of the day, they did a good job. The installation went very well too, and it only took them one day. We had two large sets and two three-double door cabinets installed in the garage and we're very happy with them. A month ago, we had some doors break so we called the service department and they scheduled somebody to come in and replace it for us. Everything went very smoothly so it was good.

The designer was very helpful. He drew what the shelving was going to look like and it was fine with me. The installer came, did the job, took all the garbage out and it was clean cut. Closet World did a good job and it was smooth and easy. I had a great experience and I'm satisfied.

The designer was good and knew what he was doing. He played out what he thought would look good in my closet. We did the shelf with the hangers and then the one where we can put long dresses. There were four shelves that were open where I can adjust them for shoes. So I got two rows, and the first was for shoes and then I got open shelves on the other side that I used for shorts and workout clothes. The design worked out really well because I really liked it. The installation job was done correctly the first time. I really like Closet World and I would recommend them.

The installation went fine but they missed a day. It was well into our scheduled appointment before they let us know they weren't showing up. They came first thing the next day and completed the job in just a few hours. But there was some damage on some of the pieces so they had to replace them and it worked okay.

They installed the closet but something was sticking out in one corner and they were about to leave it sticking out. I had to ask the installer to fix it and as soon as I asked, he fixed it. They gave me good customer service and I'd go back to them.

We decided to go with Closet World, after receiving a few other quotes from other closet companies. But I guess that's what you get for going with the cheapest. The designer was great, but starting with the installation process, then it just went down from there. Closet is all at an angle and not straight. The installers covered our air vent in the closet, the way they installed the closet corners (they cannot be used)... they didn't pay attention to small details. It is all a mess!!! Then from there... customer service is even worst!!! They don't even care to follow up with you, they don't care about the job their installers did! Just awful! I am making a complaint about them to BBB and Contractors State License Board. It's just that bad!!!

She knew exactly the measurements and we talked through what my goals were and what I was looking for, and she did great! The installer did a really good job but it was his second job of the day and he didn’t get here until later in the afternoon. He was here for a really long time and didn’t get out of here until almost 8:00 at night. It wasn't his fault that somebody booked him two jobs that day, but it was an inconvenience to me because I had to get up really early to go to work. The installation was good and the cabinet looks really great, and although, there was like a little chip off one of the ends of the laminate, everybody that’s seen the job has really liked it.

Because I had those weekly flyers, Closet World was the first one I thought of to do our master bedroom closet. They came out and estimated. The design process didn't take long and the consultation went very well with the designer. I told her what I wanted so she finalized it and she was very knowledgeable. The consultation also went really fast to the point where I had to call her back and tell her I needed something to be put for ties for my husband and she arranged it. That was the only contact I had with her. She also said I would be hearing from another person who was sending the folks out to install the materials.

The two gentleman who came in and installed the materials were excellent and very helpful. Out of all the people I talked to, those two were the best. They went out of their way to accommodate me if I needed something more or changed. They made shelves, but they also gave me the opportunity if I wanted to change that so I can put more clothes and hang them. The only reason I would not use Closet World again is because their charge was too expensive, but the installation crew was wonderful.

I moved into a new home and while I was there, I got flyers about Closet World doing custom closets. I was looking to get custom closets done and was talking to my friend. But when I got my house, I did not have a walk-in closet. I needed middle sliding doors and Closet World was the only one who was offering me that. There were other companies also, but they were not reliable. They said that they don't do that work and that they'll have to hire somebody else to do it. I said, "Closet World has done this before and you all do this professionally, let me just go with who does everything."

Closet World did my master closet and my designer was really good. When she came in, she sounded very experienced. I didn't want a white closet and they were offering me a good offer for the wood grain finish for my closet. So, I said "Why not go for wood grain finish? And it would look prettier." She was open to suggestions but since this was my first time, I totally relied on her and her expertise. She gave me a design but after the closet was installed, I thought that function-wise, if I would have made other decisions, it would have worked better. Now that I use the closet, I feel that we did not talk very deeply about what I wanted.

I was in the middle of shopping for my bed and other stuff for my house so I thought I would match my wood grain to my bed frame. I finalized the bed and saw the pictures in the manual that they gave us. From that, I selected a wood grain finish. When my designer came in, they were giving me a good offer for the wood grain finish for my closet but what came in was totally different from what I had selected so I was a little disappointed. I went back and forth with my designer and the reinstalling manager. It was an expensive closet and was really pretty but I had to redesign my whole bedroom all over again. And they were not helping me out in any way.

It was really frustrating. The designer told me that because of this mishap, they were going to credit me back some amount because this did not go the way we wanted it to go. But then when I raised that issue with the manager, he said that the designer does not have any right to say all that. I said, "See my closet is already here, you have done a good job. I'm not saying that the closet is not good but it's just not what I needed, what I as a customer had asked for." That was a little hitch in the whole thing and I was not happy with that.

The first installation happened. The repairing person came in and said that the first man did not do a good job with the dresser and the sliders that's why it was not functional. There were gliders in the drawers and because of that, it became so heavy that I could not pull the drawers out. Somebody else had to come in and I requested for those things wherein I just push it and it closes on its own. When they got that, it seemed like the first installer had broken something. The measurements were not right and there was not enough space. So the second person who came in here fixed everything and made it functional. The closet in itself looks really good and I would surely recommend Closet World to my friends, but I would warn them to be very aware of what design and what wood grain finish they are going for.

There's a lot of unused space so I had Closet World install us a closet. We went with them since they were available for the initial appointment. I liked their designer a lot. He was lovely, super helpful and knowledgeable and was a pleasant person to speak to. The installation took a while but it went well. There’s only one person who did it. He did his best and did the job as quickly as he could. But I noticed that there was a bracket missing from the closet that one of my rods fell down because the closet isn’t properly installed in one spot, so I’m going to have to get a bracket and install it myself so that it remains intact or wait to see if they can bring the shelves and then just fix it themselves.

Although I didn’t realize that for the drawers that I had, I had to request it before in order to get the inserts for the jewelry and the locks and thought it was something I could’ve just bought afterwards. So they have to bring replacement drawers. I also was hoping to have a couple more shelves on one side. I requested them to have some new drawers put in on to the current closet and some more shelving, but I haven’t heard anything about scheduling it yet.

The designer that Closet World sent to me was excellent. Her work took about an hour and we talked about what my needs were and what type of material I wanted to use. We then went over the colors available and she made some suggestions. And their price was good. The installers showed up promptly, but they unfortunately had the wrong color. I chose an antique white melamine and what they had was white melamine. My choices were to have them take it all back and have it re-cut because everything is custom-made or they offered me a discount if I wanted to go with the white, which I did. The system works good, and it's easy to reformat because I moved my top bars up to the highest one so it fits stuff a little better. Though I did have a misunderstanding at the beginning. I thought there was a couple of inches underneath the bottom when there was only an inch, but that's negligible.

My husband made the phone call to Closet World then the lady came out and she was great. She sat at the table and sketched the design, and although it was hard to tell from a drawing what it was going to look like, she seemed really experienced. She knew what she was doing so we went with it and it turned out terrific. We had the installation scheduled but we ran into some issues. We were going to be out of town so we rescheduled the second time and it was late in the afternoon when they came out. But we had the closet prepared and everything was ripped out and painted. All they had to do was install everything so it was seamless.

It took me two days to paint the closet but it was worth it. It's snappy and beautiful. The closet is rectangular and it's a large one. It could’ve been a small room. On the right and left-hand side are the bars for the short clothing then when you walk into the closet, there’s a nice wood shoe rack. We did it in the dark wood to match the rest of the wood in the house. In the center, there are three shelves then three drawers underneath and we used the long bars. I'm glad we didn’t put the backs on because we painted. Then I had two lights, one on each side, and a hung piece like crystal drum-shaped chandeliers.

We also put lights on top of the shelves so there’s light shining on the clothes on each shelf. Then we put nice wood floors and a velvet ottoman. I also ordered those Joy Mangano hangers and everything’s really neat. My husband got a little slider closet and that turned out nice too. He put lights over as well and now my husband wants to put a glass door on the closet. Overall, the experience was effortless and the quality of their work was nice. In fact, we’re considering doing the pantry and eventually all the closets in the house as well.

Closet World sent us a booklet with home improvement letters for advertisement. We had them install two 26-inch panels and pullout shelves, and then around 10 shelves. When we first met with the designer, I didn’t know that the paneling was only going to be 12-inches deep. So we had an issue once I met with the installer. And then, we kept going back and forth on the date because on the first date that they were supposed to install the closet, the installer got to my house too late. He got to my house around 7:00 and it was too dark for him to cut the materials outside. We had to reschedule and the designer told me not to reschedule because they are going to reschedule me until November. So then they were able to reschedule me again for the following week.

That installer came back and then there was material missing because my design was different than their design. He had to leave and then they had to reschedule me again and but that time was when the guy had all the material. The guy came but had to leave again because he was missing material again, three shelves, and he came back within an hour. But when they installed it, it was good. I really like the quality of it because it’s sturdy. However, there was a lot of misunderstanding and back and forth. That was really annoying and frustrating. But I’d use them again because of the quality of the stuff and this time, I know what kind of questions to ask and what to expect.

I did a comparison between closet companies and ended up with Closet World. Their price was a little bit more, but it was close. The sales rep was very nice and the installation at first was okay. However, the installer cracked a light switch plate and then proceeded to take one off another part of the house and didn’t say anything. When we looked at the closet, things were okay. There were some measurement issues because the closet door would not open all the way. Closet World sent somebody else back out and they went ahead and took care of one of the cabinets of the closet door a little all the way. They did a very neat job.

But I was very disappointed and questioned what else the first installer may have stolen from us. Even though it was only a $2 face plate, but my wife and I and a dog live in the house. I noticed 36 hours later, when I was walking out to the garage, the switch plate was missing off the light switch in the laundry room. I knew he told me he would have to cut it down about a quarter of an inch to fit and I said that’s fine. I left for 20 minutes and trusted him. But in that period of time, he tried to cut it and broke it. He may have had every intention of coming back but he didn’t. He didn't say anything as well.

So, I talked to customer service and they said that they're going to go ahead and reimburse me $120. Other than that, I love the closet system. There were eight doors that were done and a lot of shelves and hanging components. I’m happy with the quality and installation at this point. I would recommend Closet World, but I would express to people to not leave their house and not leave anything out.

We’re in the midst of a major remodel in our home and we wanted to get a comparison out there of the folks that did the kind of stuff that Closet World does. They had a 50% discount that they had mailed out, so we gave them a call to compare to what we could do on our own in our home. When they came out with the discount, it was a competitive price and we liked what we saw.

Their designer showed a little mock-up of their product and she worked with us the entire time. We had a number of revisions because I wanted to get everything in our master bedroom closets so that we didn’t have to use the closet dressers in the actual living space in the bedroom. The designer was good about that. We had a very unique situation in that the shape of it is different, very weird looking triangle with some weird angles but she measured it and did a great job. She was very knowledgeable. Plus, the installers did a really good job and they were considerate. Definitely, it was a quality installation job.

There are two things transpired in the midst of it that I haven’t addressed with them, though. In the middle of the build, the rep began to offer me a lot of different combinations of things because she wanted to get my business. There was a point that we had about 30 emails back and forth where she offered up these soft edges and shelving. Then in the final contract, those were excluded, so I was looking for it and I cut and pasted her own email. To which, she replied that she made a mistake and that she was sorry. But she’s a nice gal and we got past that issue.

The cabinets are nice and we didn’t go over the top by any means but the glides to the drawers are a little cheap. It has a feel like the drawers are going to twist unless I support it properly. Then it comes out on the track that it is on. I should have worked something out in getting better tracks. We’re still trying to wrap this whole project up and we're 11 months into it. I’m a satisfied customer, though, and I would recommend Closet World. I got a garage to do when I’m done with this and I’m going to call them back.

Wendy, Closet World's salesperson, was awesome. She came to the house and listened to what my boss wanted. She then sat down, did a sketch then and there, and gave us a quote. That was the deciding factor for my boss. She also liked the fact that she didn’t have to go into a showroom. There were, however, installation issues. It was supposed to be done on the 24th and 25th but whoever typed it in the system had it wrong and they did not show up. They then told us that they'd be doing it on the 25th and 26th, so I had to reschedule a bunch of things, which was inconvenient. Then, during the installation, they had to take out a closet rod and when they did that, it left a huge white area and holes in the wall. When we spoke to Wendy about it, she told us that there were baseboards and stuff that we need to paint before the installation. However, she never said anything after the installation about it being our responsibility.

So, again, I called and I talked to Craig and he told me that it was not their responsibility. That was something I had to schedule into my days. My boss and I had to rearrange so many schedules and stuff that she and I were not happy. Also, the guy that I spoke to was very brass and I don't think he should be in customer service. But he apologized and the installation team was able to get it done in one day. They also gave the homeowner a couple extra things in the closet for free, which made her happier. The closet is amazing. It was definitely what they promised and what Wendy sketched. She was also super happy with that.

Closet World changed the day of installation because one of their installers got hurt on the job. They switched me from Friday to Saturday and I wasn’t a priority so I had to sit around my house waiting. The guy showed up two hours late. When he came here, he was explaining to me that my designer didn’t put in a buffer so, I was going to lose some inches off of my original design. I asked him, “Can you guys take money off because what I paid for, you’re not able to deliver to me?” He called his manager, Richard and he said, no.

After he finished talking to Richard, he said, “You need to pay me now.” I was like, “What do you mean, pay you now?” He’s like, “We collect the money and then we do the job.” I was like, “Oh, wow. You know what, you finish the job and then, I’ll write you a check.” I also said, "I paid for one design but you can’t give it to me because the designer didn’t consider a buffer." The installer said, “I need to do this.” I wasn’t happy with that at all and I explained it to him. But that was his decision.

When the designer came out, we had also talked about a backing. She was saying that they don’t have backing but the installer said, “We have backing but you have to pay for it.” I was like, “The designer said, you guys didn’t have it.” It was just little things like that was not clear. I just let the installer go ahead and put whatever in. I paid for it so, this is what I got. It wasn’t like they wanted to take anything off. But that’s the way the company wants to do their business.

The installer was good. He came here and he tried to help as best he could. That’s why he got on the phone and talked to Richard. But their overall customer service is not really that great. I was here by myself. My significant other wasn’t home so, I don’t think things would’ve probably been like that. But by me being a female here by myself, I think he was a little bit aggressive on that side. But he went ahead and installed the closet and then collected the money after. We had Closet World install our master bedroom closet, one of our guest room closet and cabinets in the laundry room. We spent a lot of time with the designer and he was really good. Unfortunately, the installation was horrible. I always had to follow up on the time that the installers were coming. They tell me a date and then they wouldn't show up. And they don't even schedule appointments until 2:00 in the afternoon but didn't really tell me so I sat around all day waiting. We were told that it would be a two-day project and it ended up being a three-day project because they don't start until 2:00 which was a problem. We were going out of town and I told them it had to be done in two days. And when the guy got here, he said there was more work than they thought and something wasn't measured properly so they had to reorder it. They also ended up having to bring out a second team.

The measurements in the laundry room were off but it wasn't necessarily the designer's fault because there was something about the wiring in the wall. The problem with that was the installers took it upon themselves to redesign it. And had I not called and asked about the reorder, they would not have told me that they redesigned it. I told them they couldn't just redesign it and not tell me that they redesigned it. They were going to have two cabinets on one wall with two different sizes. It doesn't make sense to me but I'm so over it. And it's done now but it was horrible. The installation was an absolute nightmare.

Also, one of their installers was very unprofessional. I work from home and I'd lock myself in the room to get a conference on. He kept knocking on my door, again and again, to tell me something, and it was absolutely ridiculous. The product that was set and done is fine, but the rest of the experience puts it down. It was overall a very disappointing experience, and I would never use them again.

I’ve had closets done before in different houses and I've never used Closet World but I’ve heard good things about them. I called them along with one other company and got estimates from the two. They were very comparable but I liked the designer I worked with from Closet World and so I went with them. She was here one afternoon and we just got along. It was easy to work with her and she was able to give me what I was looking for. We had a very traditional closet installed, we did one wall unit for my husband’s den and the bookshelves on the wall.

The installer was great and he worked hard. There were a few adjustments he needed to make and he was able to do that for me. He changed the location of some drawers. He put some in one closet and switched them around. It turned out being better than the original plan. I was very happy with him and he is the same person who came back and did the wall unit when it was ready. I was very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Closet World.

We had a whole closet installed by Closet World and it looks great. I also like their rep. He came out and we just decided to do everything with them. The installers were also very professional and very friendly. They noticed that the doors wouldn't open and they corrected those. Because we're very far from the plant they were able to bring the new doors after a week and a half but now it's all finished. We’re just very happy with what they did. We didn’t have a lot to work with.

We had an office custom designed with storage cabinets, a desk, and overhead storage through Closet World and we love it. We called a couple of companies but they never responded. I liked Closet World’s customer service and I liked their designer. He was really nice and he followed up and he stayed in touch. The customer service was the key. I loved that the designer took his time. He took our ideas and he did whatever we wanted. He was very sweet and he kept following up to make sure we were happy. When we were looking into financing, he kept calling up, letting us know that he hasn’t forgotten about us and to just let him know when we were ready. Our installation experience was great as well. The installers were super quick and other than the obvious banging and putting stuff together, they were quiet and they cleaned up after themselves. Overall, Closet World had good follow through, good customer service and I'm very happy.

Closet World had a sale and so I had them install a cabinet in the garage. The interactions with the people from Closet World was good in the beginning, getting everything drawn up and meeting with the designer. But then the designer wasn't very helpful about confirming when the delivery was going to be. She came very rudely in the text and there was no follow up. I specifically said I was going to be gone at a certain time and needed an early setup time. That was not noted at all. So, when the people that were to deliver it called me, they had no note of the request about having them at an earlier time.

The designer did not do any due diligence on my request from the beginning. So, I contacted her and I asked her specifically to help me out with this since I had requested this from the start. She was all nice, fancy and kind. But then, when she got me to the delivery part, she was bad. She said that she has no control over this and that they don't report to her. That was what pissed me off. She spent all that time in my garage, working through things with me and my husband. And then we had to be gone at a certain time so we had to double-check and she would not deal with it. So, I told the manager that I needed them to help me out here since I'm not going to be around and waited for five weeks to get it installed.

The second thing that the designer did was that she drew everything up but didn't think about all the city inspections, including covering up a vent. So, when the guys came to inspect it out to build it, they said that they can't do the installation since they would be covering the vent, unless, we were okay with the city telling us that if we ever sell the house, we're going to have to take the closet support so they can do the inspection since the hole was a vent hole.

The delivery people knew that I was not pleased so they had to tell the designer. However, they had to respect everything based on the drawing and they couldn't put the feet of the cabinet since it was up higher above the vent holes. It was a totally weird process. The designer was all about the sale. It's sad since it's like meeting someone that's very handsome or beautiful and then I get the underside of their personality and who they are behind it, and they're horrible people so that counts them as not beautiful.

Thankfully, they gave me the senior person that could build it really fast. He was so smart and awesome. He was able to build it around the hole and gave us some options of what he can do. We went through that process, then I called the delivery folks and treated them lunch. They were so happy according to the manager. I told them that they went above and beyond. They got here on time and gave me their best guy which I appreciated it. After that whole process, I was exhausted and I was so happy that the guys that came were so good and it ended up a great experience.

We’ve heard and seen more about Closet World than some when we were looking so we went with them based on name recognition. A closet organizer was installed in our master bedroom and we were also gonna have them do a shelving in the pantry but that didn’t work out. We have a very odd-shaped pantry with angles and curved walls. We went round and round about the pantry but they could not come up with a design that we were satisfied with for that shape. It should not have been as difficult as that was but other than that, it was a good experience. We're very happy with the closet.

I have used Closet World before in my home in Palais Verdes, California so I had them again when I recently had five sliders and a small kitchen window installed throughout the house. However, their designer didn’t give me options of using a pull cord to open and close the sliders and I told the installer that I didn’t want to twist it because I have very serious arthritis. He said that was all they had. And I was not super happy with that because there were break-ins here. Right now, we’re pending one follow-up appointment and the designer will come out again. But I said we needed to pull cords so I have to return the products. They responded very pleasantly and they’re going to install it because it will be best for me. So I’m impressed with that, and I have recommended Closet World to a friend.

The installation is not yet done and I have yet to receive a call from Closet World as to when they are coming back. They still have to fix a drawer and also one of the doors on it has a crooked handle. They made an appointment but they didn't show up. I told them beforehand that the schedule wasn't going to work because it's between 3:00 to 5:00 and I live in a building where they can't start their job at 3:00. And they make everyone stop their work by 5:00. The person I talked to said they know what they're doing.

So I then prepared between 3:00 and 5:00 but they never showed up. I called and they told me they were running late on their other project. They had to reschedule for the next week. When they came back, the measurements were wrong. They could install the shelf but they had to re-cut all the door. Then, when they had to come back with the door and the re-cut doors and drawers, they brought the wrong hardware. I said I was buying my hardware but they put the wrong hardware on the actual drawer.

I shouldn't be charged yet for the last half because none of it is done. All in all, they have been back here three times, and I have never heard from the consultant again when she got the bill. And she measured it totally wrong. The consultant shouldn't be gone after they get the job. They should continually check in with the customer. Otherwise, I'm left to call them and then it's hard to know who I'm supposed to talk to.

I had looked at other companies like California Closets and Closet Factory. I typically get three estimates and when Melinda from Closet World came out, I liked her presentation. She drew the design to scale and was on point and she saved me money. She explained that they had been in business longer than the others and at the time, there was a 50% discount and then another 5% discount based on my zip code. She gave me the best price and she cut out the fluff in which the other two were trying to just fill up my entire space but it wasn’t really functional. It would only going to cost me more money.

I’m satisfied. It was what I needed as opposed to just filling up the space which the other two other companies were seemingly coming from in terms of their presentation whereas Melinda said that in order to make the walk-in and make it functional we could simply generate the space. I utilize the space and she can make it such that I can have the section to hang coats or longer, my suits and we can create those from the shelving space to put my sweaters and whatever else I may want to put there. And then there’s another space I can put my pants and shirts which made sense.

And then as far as the wall unit in the bedroom she shortened the space and it was still yet functional enough for me to utilize it as I desired. She said, “The unit that we’re putting in your closet, there’s a closet behind the door. Let’s just leave it white. You don’t necessarily need to have this fancy color or what.” And it was like, “You know what? It makes sense. Let’s do that.” Again she saved me money. However there was an error. She wrote it up and we agreed on a price but then when she got back to the office, she realized that she had made an error in terms of the drawers for the wall unit. We had to add $175 to the bill. It was still less expensive but I felt that I didn’t have to pay for that error.

When she did the drawing there was a space on the wall unit open that was left open for my television so that I can drop my cords behind the unit and plug into the wall. When the installer came out he said that they supplied them with a complete backing for the unit. I said that there should’ve been a space for my television so that I could drop the cords behind. He said no and that we actually needed to have a solid piece to support the upper portion of the wall unit. That’s not how it was drawn and designed, and that’s not what we agreed on but that’s what they got.

They had already installed it and I asked what am I going to do in relation to my cord because I don’t want them dangling from the front of the unit and then plug into the wall. It looks really tacky. He said that they could put some type of holes into the shelving and then I could run the cords through there and out into the plug. I said that that was okay if that’s what needs to be done in order to make it functional. He said that I would have to call and let Closet World know what happened which I did.

I sent an email and then I think I made a phone call as well. They scheduled a date and time to make that happen. On that particular day, the person was a no-show and I had taken off from work in order to be available to facilitate the correction. I called and let them know that the person didn’t show between those hours and they said that he can make it 4:30, 5 o’clock. I just took the rest of the day off in order to make that happen that very same day. The person didn’t call, didn’t show at 4:30, 5 o’clock that evening.

I generated another email and let them know that it was very disheartening and sad that this didn’t happen on this day which I had sacrificed in order to try and make it happen. We discussed it with Roman and maybe I spoke with someone else as well, and they said they would reschedule. They tried to give me another weekday. I said no. Doing it after 5 would not work because it’s dark and I wouldn’t feel comfortable. I mentioned that a Saturday would work so, we scheduled for Saturday between 9 and 11 for them to come out to make that correction.

I asked what would be done in terms of compensating for me having taken a day off of work in order to facilitate them coming out to do the correction. He said that they could do some other things for me like some racks or something. I said that I'd think about it and I will get back to them. So perhaps for the compensation I would have some other type of installation done in terms of a unit and I would be willing to pay a portion of it.

I had two very small closets installed by Closet World and I spent almost $8,000 for them. They're basic closets with a panel that is holding the rail for the hanger, as well as five drawers. The lady who came first and measured them was good but the job done was not satisfactory. When they installed the interior of the closets, the gentleman who came out didn't tell me there would be a lot of holes after he finished. There were bullet holes, not from a nail, but from the screws that were bolted really tight which he was trying to get out. Also, he was supposed to finish in two days but he was done in one day and because he was hurrying, he scraped some of the wood. He should have had a veneer vacuum so I didn't have to spend money hiring somebody to patch the holes and repaint the whole closet. If they had that to cover all the wall area and that's included in the price, I wouldn't complain that much.

The installers were on time but we didn’t like that they wore their shoes in the house. We asked them to remove their shoes but they said they couldn’t. We got what we expected except for the depth of the wardrobe and it’s disappointing. The closet was a bit smaller than what we expected. We told them how wide we wanted it but our clothing doesn’t fit the measurements of the closet. It doesn’t have enough depth so the clothing hanger hangs outside of the wardrobe. We expected a better advice or maybe we didn't understand but it was miscommunication on that.

I was looking online for a trusted company that I can hire for my project and Closet World was among those that popped up the most. They were also slightly cheaper than the others. As it stands right now, they're still trying to figure out what the installation is going to be like. They've been into my house four times already and they're still not done. Not only did they not give me the product that I requested, but the product they installed is damaged. They took it back and tried to fix it.

To fix the uneven doors, they put a bigger wheel on one of the doors. It is completely obvious and you can see the big wheel they installed. The material is not what I was sold. I have talked to Marcus, the manager, multiple times. I requested to speak to the district manager. However, the district manager has never called me back.

I gave them four chances to get it right. They cracked my floors and damaged my paint. They also took baseboards from the room and didn't put them back, leaving areas that are exposed. It's obvious that they just keep bringing different materials now. My closet is probably four different colors. They also drilled screws into my tile floor. Everybody knows that if you drill into a tile floor, it's going to crack. Those guys that they sent over for the installation didn't know that. The walls are completely damaged. When they were trying to do the installation, they were off on their measurements. But sometimes things don't go right so I gave them too many chances to come in and fix it.

At this point, I just want them to take everything out. I'll take my losses with the damage that they did to the room. I just don't want to put up with a nightmare of what they are doing anymore. Plus, I'm losing time from work. I get a different crew every time. I asked Marcus to come in so that he can see the job for himself, but he said that he couldn't be there.

I asked him to just remove everything, but he said they can't since that's not Closet World's policy and that they're going to keep trying until they get it right. The worst part of this is that all the money has already been deducted from the card that I provided. I don't mind paying for what I wanted, however, I don't know how they're going to fix it. It's a complete mess and I don't know if it's possible to fix it. The only way I can think of is to take everything out and rebuild it, but Marcus is not willing to do that either. He doesn't care.

I have been considering Closet World for about six months to a year. When I got the flyer in the mail, the timing was just right. So I called the company and they made the appointment for me that following Monday. The designer showed up and spent about one hour and a half with me. She did a great job of addressing what I needed and putting it all together and working with the space I have. I liked the plans. She also explained to me about financing and because of that, I actually got approved for more than I needed for a deposit.

She was very quick. She pretty much got it that I had a lot of shoes and clothing. There were areas of the closet where some long things ended up overlapping. So she took those two things and she made the majority of my closet fit them. And I really couldn't be happier. It was very hard to look at the lines and things on a piece of paper but everything made sense since I'm a numbers person. It’s funny because when the guy installed it, it didn't quite look like what she put on paper. He was a little offended when I couldn't quite make sure that the closet was something that looked a little different on paper to me than the way he did it. He did mention that I couldn't have the shelving for my shoes because they will fall off. So it could be a little while to get used to it.

Everything with the designer was fine, but I apologized to the installer and told him that some of us might find it hard to visualize what's on paper. So once I was able to visualize it, it was fine. I wasn't trying to say that he didn't do it or that the work wasn't right. And then we went over just a few more things and he understood me. So it might have been a language barrier that got him offended at first. Still, I felt the crew was professional. They came and did what they came to do. They didn't take up all my time that day. They also told me that if I needed any additional part, they would deliver them to me, though charges would apply.

My master bedroom closet was square in shape. On the right-hand side, they put a wall of shelving that I could use for shoes and that was probably what I needed the most. And then the back wall from one side to the other, they arranged it so that I had the most space for my long garments because I like wearing long dresses and skirts. And then to the right, they gave me more room for some more long lengthy items such as suits. Above that, I actually have space at the top of the closet that was usable before because of the way they had it shelved. But then I have more space that I haven't even begun to use. I'm still working on my sides so I don't have any clothes there yet. However, I do have the ability to have layers of clothing like my shirts on the top and then my pants and skirts below it. And then I have separate sections for suits and dresses and especially dresses that are long.

I really got the whole nine yards there because I didn't think that it was going to cost me that much money. The coupon gave me a 40% discount. It came together when the financing gave me the ability to finance. Overall, I'm happy with what I have because I have sliding doors across the front of my closet. When I went through the catalog, those closets are so absolutely beautiful. And then I got to come to the location and see the other features that I would love to have. I've even thought about maybe doing my laundry closet or the pantry. So I've been happy with my experience with Closet World.

There's just a couple of things that are damaged a little bit. They cleaned my carpet because the guy was outside walking with his booties on and coming inside. It was all torn up. He was tracking up dirt going up my stairs and into my closet. They took care of that but I'm waiting for them to take care of the stair railing scratches when the guy came upstairs with the shelves. The guy just wasn’t that careful. But nobody has called me yet for that.

The closet they installed had drawers, shelves, and shoe shelves for my shoes, and for the suits and the slacks like I had before, top for suits and slacks down below, and jeans. It's much bigger than what I had before, so it's nice. The designer was good but she didn’t have enough racks for all my shoes. She said, “All these shoes would fit in there.” I have 100 the pairs of shoes on the shelves but I still have plenty of shoes that I need to go on another shelf. I might have to get another shelf put in because a lot of them didn’t fit on there. Once they do that, then it'll be complete. But everybody loves it. I had my aunts and uncles here from Austin after the closet was put in and they loved it. They said it was beautiful. Closet World also put on my hatboxes at the top with all my hats in them and then my baseball caps on the shelves in front of me. So everything worked out good and I'm satisfied.

I got several estimates and for what I was getting for the house, Closet World was the best way to go. Their designer did a good job. We have an older house and it has one curved wall, and he came up with a very good solution to save space. It was simple and it worked for us. However, there were a few problems with the installation. The service person that came out had a family emergency and had to leave so the installation was canceled. When they came back the next day, they didn’t have the notches that needed to be cut out in the product. But the supervisor at the facility was extremely nice and helpful. He put the notches that night so that he could get somebody out there on Saturday to do it. The installers came back on Saturday, which we appreciated but they could only do one of the closets. So they had to come back a few days later and do the second one. They did a good job trying to make up for the time in getting it installed timely so it was okay.

My husband, who’s an attorney, helped out someone that was in charge of a Closet World location. He mentioned to the person that we needed a closet and that he liked their closets, and so we got them to install an entire closet. Their designer showed up and then she took all the measurements. And then, she drew up an estimate right then and there at our house. We signed on to it and then it took a few weeks for them to build the closet. However, the designer didn’t do a very good job because when they came with the doors, the doors were the wrong measurements. So I had to call and then had to get somebody else to come out. We measured the doors and then they took about another week to come back with the doors.

When they came back they messed up the doors again. Instead of opening out, they expected the doors to open up, which doesn’t make any sense for the side of the door. They made it like the brackets clearly show that it open up vertical rather than out. The second incident, because clearly the holes weren’t done properly, I had to call them. I tried to speak with the manager but they said that he was out to lunch so I left the message. Then I didn’t hear back with him, so I called back again the next day. He was not in yet or it was too early. Nobody ever called me back. And I didn’t want to have to wait another week to get another door again. So I said forget it. I called the handyman that I knew of, he showed up and then he fixed it on his own.

We were super happy with the Closet World product. They look fantastic. What I was unhappy about is that the woman who came out measured it incorrectly so it took a delay of the week and then the second time that they resent them the doors were incorrect. And we spent a lot of money for the doors. And even though the installer guy was great, the installation took much longer than it should have taken.

We had a closet and shelving put in into our daughter's nursery and the Closet World designer was here for two hours. She talked to us about our needs then she drew up the sketch of what the closet would look like. She was very helpful and after a couple of edits, we came to the design that we purchased. Unfortunately, the installers didn't clean up that well after themselves and on the very top shelf, I found the guy left his hammer. They didn't have 100% attention to detail either and there were a couple of nicks on the closet installation that I would have preferred not to be there. It was messier than we had anticipated but otherwise the installation was okay.

We had Closet World install the closet for our newly renovated master bedroom. It's made of white wood and has shelves and places you hang things. We also had our three doors that slide. Their designer was very good but the installation wasn’t. The first time the installers showed up, they had the wrong materials for the closet. They had nothing to do with our closets, so the whole thing was off. Then they left. We called them up and they said it was our fault because it was on hold and we hadn't made the order, but that wasn't accurate. Then they said they would come back. When they did, the measurements were wrong on the shelving. So the guy put the doors in but didn't do the shelving. He thought that instead of 10 or 12-inch shelves, the spaces should be 16 inches, and he said because of the problem, we would just change the order and make it 16 inches.

I ended up talking to the regional director who said that we couldn't do that and that it was not part of the deal. He also said that the installer couldn't make a decision like that. So I got really angry that I wanted to speak to his supervisor, and I was told he would call me. Then the regional director called me back and said that they wanted to take care of me and they were going to make the changes I wanted at no additional cost.

So the installer came a third time to do the installation. It was a different installer this time and he did not do a good craftsmanship job on the closet. We got a backboard for the shelving and it was caught in a way that it showed through when you open the door. There was a misaligned cut on the back panel. Also, the side paneling where they had to build it up a bit in order to have the buttress for the door wasn't finished properly. But I didn't raise it as an issue. I wanted the closet done and didn't want to deal with them anymore.

All in all, the experience was terrible and there were problems that were unfortunate that didn’t demonstrate the good customer service from the company. Having to come back here three times to install our closet was ridiculous. Also, we were having our hard floors done in time for the first arrival when the closet installers came but the whole timing got off and some of the other workers had to be done. So I was not happy about that. The regional guy came through with the shelving, so that helped, and we got the 16-inch closet and shelving, which were really nice. But I'm having another contractor do the side paneling. I wouldn't use Closet World again and I wouldn't refer anybody to use them.
