Closet World did my mirror sliding doors for my closet. Gale, who was the designer, Reuben, who was one of the supervisors and several people I've dealt with were extremely helpful. The three installers that came out were really nice people. On the other hand, the installation was more of a challenge because the measurements were incorrect the first time they came out to install. They had to reorder but they ordered the wrong doors so when they came out the second time to install, it was the wrong door and wrong style. But by the third time they came out, it was correct. I have spoken to their customer service and they felt bad about what happened and they definitely were trying to take care of it. I'm glad it's done and I love the doors, which is what's most important.

The person that was in my house prior to me had used Closet World for the other closets in my house and I like the way they looked and I wanted them to match so I called them. The designer was great but I had one issue wherein I didn’t purchase the backing because she didn’t think it was necessary and didn’t help me understand that it should have been purchased. She just basically said, “Do you want backing?” I said, “No.” And that was it. When the installation crew came to put my closet in, they installed it in record time. I thought they were going to be here all day but they were here for an hour or two. They were great and very forthcoming with me that the walls would not look good after.
There were huge gaping holes that were left because I didn’t purchase the backing and that was my major complaint. They said “You didn’t purchase backing?” And I said, “Yeah, I didn’t think it was necessary.” And they basically said, “It’s definitely necessary because you’re going to have huge holes in your walls.” I had to call Handyman and pay an additional $150 the next day to repair the walls. If the designer had checked the walls she probably would know and say, “Hey this definitely requires backing. You’re going to have huge holes.” Then she could have put that into the estimate and I would have been prepared.

Closet World had done work for us in the past and recently, we had cabinets installed in the laundry room and food pantry. The designer was very helpful. There were a couple of things that they didn't get right the first time. There was a false drawer door and the drawer that was supposed to be put in but when I got home, it was missing. There were open slots but I went back to the drawing and it was supposed to be a drawer and a fake door front next to it where the sink would go in. Then, there were two wire racks and my wife was very specific about them being 12 inches deep but they ended up being 20 inches deep. But they came back, fixed those and they replaced the racks with the right size racks. So, that all was fine and it's a good experience. I'd do it again.

Closet World has been advertising and for the last 20-something years, it's been coming in my junk mail every day. I figured I’d give them a try. We had eight closets done, five upstairs and three downstairs. Then, a design consultant came out and measured things. I chose what type of system and finishes I wanted. Several weeks after that, the installation crew came and they were very professional. However, we found an error in the measurement the designer made and they had to make some adjustments. They corrected that on the fly.
Afterwards, we had a follow-up appointment because they were missing something. It may have been due to the measurement error but anyway the second trip wasn’t very long. It took them two days to complete it all. But they didn’t arrive till after noon on the first day. But, it went well and they did a great job. In fact, I've already called Randy who is the local service manager. I took some measurements and I'm having additional shelves sent out. I underestimated how many additional shelves I wanted so that's more business for Closet World. I've been very satisfied with my Closet World experience.

We worked with Closet World three years back. We recently had a closet and a cabinet installed in our garage by them, too. Their designer was very professional, helpful and friendly. He understood our problem and what we were going through. And so, he was able to explain what we were looking for and found the best way to handle our situation. The installation crew who came did the job cleanly, too. So far, everything was installed properly and everything has been as good as what we were expecting. It was a good experience with Closet World and I already recommended two of my friends to the designer and expertise.

I had shelves and rods done by Closet World in all four of my closets and I loved it. The designer was here for quite a while. We talked and she measured a lot. She offered me things and I made suggestions and we came up with the design I wanted. For the installation, only one man came. But he smiled nicely and worked continuously for about four hours. He was very competent. He knew what to do and he did it and then I signed something and he left. The closets were very well done and the entire experience was very good. Closet World was recommended to me by friends and if others asked, I would recommend they have it done as well.

I've been dealing with Closet World for at least 20 years. They did some closet's treatments in my house in Manhattan Beach. And then, I moved about two years ago and I needed some closets and organization in the new home that I moved in. If I need closets or storage, they've always been my go-to. They recently turned a bathroom into a pantry for me. They did a lot, also built in for a small closet. The designer was very good, right on target. They did what I wanted and met my needs. The installation team did a good job too. They came when they said they were going to come. I keep going back to them because the work has always been top quality. I would definitely recommend them. They're fair and compared to other closets companies, in my experience, they're just as good if not better.

Closet World did our closet about three years ago in our own home. Now our sons need closets so we called them again. Their designer was great and Manuel, the technician, did what he can not to destroy our closet area, installed the closet, and cleaned up after. On the other hand, the drawers are so deep and big that you can't see all the clothes. I wish they were smaller and there were more drawers. Other than that, everything was good and I'd recommend Closet World.

I went with Closet World as I had them do a closet for me in my previous residence. This time, I had them install a basic white square closet in the master bedroom. The designer was nice and courteous, but I had the design, myself, so he didn't have to figure out what my needs were. I already knew what they were, and what spacing and areas I needed. The installer was very nice as well, and they arrived a little bit early. However, the products weren't as good quality as I remembered. I'm a really picky person, and the hardware had like a little bit of a gold tint to it instead of it being like that silver that I had in my previous closet. But other than that, my overall experience was pretty good.

Closet World did the work at my daughter’s house and I was pleased. However, my experience with them was a disaster. I was quoted $1,100, but when I got my statement, it was $1,179. I left at least six phone messages that the price was wrong. I received one phone call at the beginning and the salesperson said they’re going to take care of it. But after five phone calls, she didn’t return my calls and didn’t email me too. I ended up calling my American Express to charge back $79. Also, we wanted an extra couple of wood pieces. After the seventh phone call, I left a message and two emails, but we still haven’t heard from the salesperson. Their installers were okay though. But I’d tell my friends to go over the local person instead of going to Closet World. At least if there’s a problem, that person can return their call or come in and help. A mom-and-pop store is also much better.

I got estimates from Closets by Design and Closet World. But I liked the customer service better from Closet World so I went with them. Their designer was very helpful and very attentive. She also knew exactly what I wanted and I needed. She came out initially and then we had to redo it because of the mortgage company. It was an insurance claim. She gave me two estimates then because she came the second time just to verify but it was the same amount. I had some melamine with curved shelving installed. We were having issues financially because they wanted a final payment but it’s an insurance policy. But, they were able to work everything out. They were quick in installing and they did a good job. It was a very pleasant experience.

I called around and Closet World's price point was probably the best relative to the quality. They sent somebody out within a couple of days, and the lady that came to give me some ideas was extremely nice. They emailed out the quote and I signed it, then they did the installation a couple of weeks later. It was a pretty quick and very positive interaction. Also, the installers came in on time, were quick, and extremely easy to work with. Everything looked great afterwards and I'd recommend Closet World to anybody.

We’re very happy with all the work Closet World has done. We started with the walk-in closet in the master bedroom and they did a great job. And then, we had them do the garage. They put all cabinets in the garage and from there, we went to the guest bedroom and it housed a lot of our office supplies too. They did that closet and then this last time, we did the office. They did a complete work of our office space so we had two workstations and they came out beautiful.
The installation has been very convenient. The installers worked with us and they’re quick at what they do. They had a few corrections to make in the office where there were some wrong handles that came in. They didn’t match and then they had the one door to change up but that was nothing. The installation went very well. They had the room all set-up so they didn’t have anything to move. They went right in there and went to work so it came out perfect. I’m also glad they brought back the last team. They did the closet for our bedroom and I made a comment when they called me that it'd be nice if they came back and did the office. The office was a big job and I was very impressed with their work. We finally got everything done and we’re very satisfied with all the work.

We had a couple of other quotes from other companies. They were cheaper but Closet World seemed to still have a little bit of the some kind of personal touch so we ultimately decided on them. They installed two closets for us. One was a large floor to ceiling reach-in, and then the other was a bigger, extra room closet. One’s in the master and the other is in a guest bedroom.
The designer came to the house and she was knowledgeable. But it got a little difficult to communicate when they recommended a follow-up that we had agreed to do together. I was able to speak with her manager and she was able to take care of the situation. We were also not given some information about the financing but at the end of the day, they agreed to honor it so everything went well. It was a hiccup along the way where I didn’t have to cancel. Other than that, the installation looks great. I had read some negative reviews on the installing team which gave me some hesitation but they did a great job. They were fast and they cleaned up after themselves.

I needed to replace my closet stuff. I went online, tried a company in the city and I felt like they didn't want to do the job. I kept looking around and Closet World was willing to do what I wanted to have done so, I went with them. The room itself is a pretty good-sized room. On one end is the walk-in closet area and on the other end is the bathroom area. There are also two sets of cherry finish drawers and the rest of it is horseshoe-shaped and double rack like hanging. This is in a spare room downstairs. It's like the fourth bedroom and third bath. I remodeled the rest of the house upstairs where my daughter and her family moved in and I moved downstairs.
The designer was very good. At first, she wasn't sure if she's going to be able to do it because it's located at sub terrain and looks like it was going to be difficult to install. But they managed to get it done. She was very cooperative and helpful. I kept asking her if we could do this and that and she did it. I can't complain. There are some shelves in one area, a rack going across the bottom and the shelves up above it. The only thing I need to do right now is take the shelves out and get up another bar to hang more clothes. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area and I was going to cross the Bay to the showroom in Hayward's, see if I can get a 30-inch bar and hang it myself. But I'm pretty happy with it. I love the way it looks and it's nicer than what I had in there originally.

I'm a designer and I've used Closet World before. They have a great price for the product. This last time was for five closets and a pantry. Their designer was really good. We did some options and they gave me different estimates. The installation was good as well. The crew arrived on time, except for one time but it was fine. Once they got there and I just directed them and they knew exactly what to do from the plans. However, they cut something wrong so we had one follow-up appointment but it was resolved.

I saw Closet World has 40% off with free installation through the Value Pack Mailers. Their designer was really nice and even offered a military discount which was really sweet compared to California Closets which was overpriced. Their designer or whoever I talked to didn't seem to care whether or not they had my business but I had to move and turn my schedule, my appointment with her and then following up around a couple of times because we were told different closing dates for our house. I wanted the meeting and figuring out how and what the design was going to be, at least be done before installation and I officially move my clothes into the closet. The designer that I worked with was really understanding, nice and so much more flexible plus the price was right so I just decided to go with them.
Their designer was really helpful and wasn't pushy because I had a budget. I told her the budget is not too much and she was very good with it. She completely met the budget without making me feel I'm not spending enough which a lot of places tend to do because they want more. The installation took place three weeks after we moved in and I kept my closet bare so it'd be easier for them to build it before I moved my clothes in. I definitely recommend Closet World to anybody else who's thinking of building a closet because their price is right. They meet your budget and there is no pressure so I really liked it. They were great and I'm happy with the end product.

We liked the sales rep from Closet World who came out. And so, we had shelving, hanging racks, a couple of drawers and closet organization stuff installed by them in our master bedroom closet. Our designer, Tracy, came and talked about the product. Then, she went upstairs and did all the measurements. After which, she supplied us with a couple of drawings that she had in mind then we made a selection. Tracy came back out do the second set of measurements and ensure that the drawings were correct. She also talked to us more about the purchase we were going to make and started the scheduling process.
For the installation, we were called to choose a date that we wanted to have somebody come out. And then, we were called once again the day before as a reminder. On the day that the gentleman was coming, we also received an email or text saying that he was on his way. He came on time at 5:00 and was here for a couple of hours.
However, their sales team was a little aggressive in terms of phone calls. We received phone calls from them quite often, right up until the job. And after the job, they were still calling trying to get work. Nevertheless, Closet World was reliable and friendly. They seemed organized as well. Everything went fine and so we're happy with their service.

Closet World did my first walk in closet ten years ago and also had them to redo it to update it. Since I am doing some upgrades in my house, I used them and they installed my walk-in closet, utility and linen closet. The experience with them was fantastic the second time around. The first time when the lady came, she measured the closet inside the closet so when the construction people came, they put everything inside the closet. I called Matthew, their manager, and he was very helpful and kind. He sent out another technician who checked it out and told them what was needed to be done then came a week later to do it.
The service was fantastic, except that I waited too long and their turnaround time is awful. When they made a mistake, I should not have to wait a week and a half for another appointment and someone should have come out and saw me within the next 24 to 48 hours. The closet was $792 and with what I pay, it should have been done faster. But outside of that, I had a good relationship with all of them. The installation crew were kind young men. I love Closet World. I'm going to call them back in two weeks to have them come and do the closet in my office also.

I had them put a walk-in in my closet and some bookshelves in my office. I like those a lot because I’m more organized now. I could put everything in order and make things accessible for me instead of having things all over the place and keep losing stuff. Closet World was very good. They were very helpful and they made everything correctly. I'm satisfied and I wanna get another appointment because I want them to make me a small cabinet.

I had a friend that went with Closet World. After I saw it in their room, I asked her and she said that they did a good job. So I figured I'll go with them. I had a pantry and walk-in closet in my new house that was completely empty so I wanted something nice. The Closet World designer was very nice. She spent a lot of time talking and explaining things. It was expensive so she tried to do different things to reduce the price. She ended up making a mistake that was going to cost more on their behalf. I have signed for it and she came back for me to do another signature but I told her that's not my problem. She gave me the price and that's how it's supposed to be. She said according to her manager she won't get any commission if we leave it that way. It was a big mess. So, they left it at that which I was okay with.
And then when the guys installed it, there was a huge gap on top which can collect dust. The point of making it custom is so that it goes all the way to the top and won't have a gap. And also, there is molding on the bottom part around the inside of both the pantry and the closet. And when the guy came and installed it, he said he has to remove the molding. It's a brand new remodeled house. Why would I want to remove the molding? So we have to call, speak to a manager and somehow figure out a way for them to remove the molding, fix it, and then put the molding back. All of this should have been taken care of by the designer to have one design so that there’s no gap to the molding. She had a good level of knowledge but she could have been more professional.
There were two installers because when the first one came, he realized that both the pantry and closet couldn't be done in one day. So, he called another person to come in. The second person came in later. They left the gap and when they're leaving I asked what I’m going to do with the gap. And they said there's nothing they could do about it. I highly doubt that so, I called and spoke to a manager who said they’ll cover it up. When they came, the guy said it’s going to be very hard because it has different sizes and my closet is shorter on one side so the gap is different size all around. It looks really ugly because the molding is not the same size all around. All in all, I spent $4,000 on something that I'm not happy about. The designer came three times and the installer twice. I could have had a better experience.

I had a closet that was done before in my previous home by somebody local, not a big company like Closet World. I had moved and wanted the same closet done in my new home. I could not get hold of the same guy, so I went to Closet World. I called them and they came to give me a price, which seemed okay, so I gave them my business. However, the products they installed are not of ideal quality. I had all kinds of products done for the whole house — all the walk-in closets and shelves for five bedrooms, kitchen, pantry, laundry area and garage. The designer that I worked with is the same person that services that area. She came and spent some time to design the closets. She showed me her design and said, "This is how it is going to be." But I didn't pay much attention. I thought, "She's a designer and she will design it well."
Once the products were installed, I could see that the rails were rough and very old. The shelves were even older and did not look like they could support enough weight, especially for the cabinets in the garage. The quality of the material and workmanship of the Closet World products that I got is much worse compared to what I had experienced before from the local guy. The shelf material is of inferior quality, and the handles and rails for the drawers are also of very poor quality. Furthermore, the design of the closets did not use the space very well and the drawers were poorly designed too. When I call and talk to the Closet World reps, they are comparable to their competitors. But I was not happy with the design and quality of the work done.
Reviewed June 21, 2017
The designer from Closet World brought out an example of their work. I found it to be very solid and well made. She was willing to earn my business by spending time reworking things when I told her that the price was higher than the competitors'. She got a bit closer and even though it wasn't as cheap, the quality was worth the extra costs. And so, I had cabinetry in my garage done by them.
The installers were professional and I liked them. However, they arrived a lot later than they said they would so I had to rearrange my day. They didn't make the window that they said they would be there and so I wasn't able to surprise my wife like I tried to. Nevertheless, traffic in LA is something that needs planning and there is little you can do, so I don't hold the installers responsible for it. That didn't detract from the overall experience.
However, I need to find the time to ask my designer to come back out and bring the sample that she showed us because there were a few things with the final product that don't line up with what we like. The cabinet doors don't fit flush when you close them. There's a gap between the hinge side and the frame. So dust can get in there as there is a quarter inch gap. That sample she showed me, it's fit flush. In fact, I thought that was nice. Going from memory, that was one of the things I liked about it because I didn't want to be dusting out the inside of my cabinets with the dust that gets in the garage.
When I asked the installers about it, they said these hinges don't fit flush. I said to them that the hinges are adjustable and asked if they can adjust them and push them back. The installers said that the hinges don't do that. If they don't, then my first step is to follow up with the designer and have her bring that sample back out and see if she showed me something that was flushed because I believe she did. Nevertheless, the cabinets were installed well and I believe that we got what we asked for. Still, I want my cabinets to fit flush because I don't want to deal with dust. Because if I can't handle the dust, then I'll just get a bunch of cheap open cabinets. I spent almost $6000 and this was the only thing that falls short of expectations. Everything else has been top notch. I want to use Closet World for more things but I have to get past this issue first.

She also gave us a lot of options and everything was good except once she got paid or once the transaction was done, we didn’t hear from her ever again. We still needed to wait a few months to get them installed because we had to clear out the closet. We gave her the date that we wanted but she didn’t do any of that. There was no follow-up with whatever she said she was gonna follow-up with.
Then two guys came for the installation and it was very quick. However, there was gonna be a corner that when they explained it to me, I thought there was gonna be a door for me to enter because two closets were meeting. But when they explained to me, it was one closet that had to go inside. So I'm gonna be able to open one door. But other than that, they're very good guys and they even kept asking me if it was okay. One of them took care of all the questions while the other guy made sure everything was cleaned up. They did everything and I commended them. However, it's a little bit pricey for what we get. If I would had bought it myself and installed it, it's gonna be cheaper. But there are no regrets. They did a great job and everything was completed so I would still recommend them.

Closet World installed closets in my master bedroom and it was good quality and value. I was very happy with the price. The designer came over and asked me what I was looking for. And then she asked any future needs, about family, anticipating how we would design the closet. There was just a bit of a complication during installation. I’m satisfied overall with them, but I like for communication to be very clear. They assumed something and we actually had to reschedule the installation.
Prior to this, I had just done a whole bunch of upgrades throughout my house. The people I hired moved everything that was in the way and then they put it back. And since I didn’t hear anything from the Closet World installers, I assumed that’s what they were gonna do. So, I didn’t have a ton of stuff in my closets, but I just had the clothes hanging. Come installation and they go, “Well, you need to get everything out of there.” I told them that they should’ve told me that I had to do that and explained how my previous contractors went about it.
The guy who talked to me got me kinda angry because he was talking to me like I was a moron and it was illogical that I was thinking this way. But we resolved it. They were gonna try to charge me a 20% rescheduling fee and I said I’d be the wrong person to try to do that to because I don’t take things like that lying down. I said I’ll approach the Better Business Bureau and I will post it everywhere I go. It won’t be worth your time. So, anyway, they rescheduled a week later and everything turned out great.

We had a garage cabinet truss installed by Closet World. My husband and I wanted to put in a garage cabinet when we first moved into our house. We looked online and saw a garage tag so they put in our first garage cabinet. I was looking online for the same company to put in the second one but they weren't available and they don't have a franchise in San Diego anymore then we found Closet World and used them to build the second one we have in there now. The gentleman came by and I went over what I wanted to do. He designed it and then we had the pricing. The designer was very nice and he seems to know both sides of it. The design he came up worked for us and he gave me all options which are really nice because what I had in my head was going to be a lot more expensive than what my husband and I wanted to pay.
I really, really appreciated it because he saved us a lot of money. He was really good at telling me the differences in price and came up with a price that was doable so we went ahead and moved forward with it and then the installers came by and put up our cabinet. Unfortunately, they were missing the feet and even though it gets installed onto studs onto the wall and floating above the floor, there were some heavier items I wanted to put in the cabinet so I wanted to add feet on the front and back of the cabinet. When the installer came and put it in, they had the wrong size of feet so we had to make a different appointment for that. When all is said and done, I'm thrilled with the cabinetry and so far it's been very sturdy and attractive.
I have everything I want now, so that's good. Everything's just thrown in there to make my garage look neat temporarily so I'm hoping over time, with the weight that I want in there, it will last a long time. The cabinet is really improving the aesthetic and functionality in the garage. The execution was great and I'm very happy with the product.

The last time somebody called from Closet World they said that they were gonna have their manager call me back because there were some issues with the installation. It took two weeks when it only was supposed to take like a day, but everything have been misscheduled and mismeasured. I had been promised that I was gonna receive a discount which I never received and it got fully charged on my Amex. Then someone called and was like, "Oh, we'll have the manager call you, to figure out how we can refund that." And now, it's been a month and a half and I haven't heard from anybody.
My garage looks nice but the installation process and planning and coordination was pretty weak. It was poorly executed. I had to delay construction work until the storage was in the garage. And the storage was two weeks behind schedule because of Closet World, not the construction company. The Closet World part was definitely supposed to be the easiest part. The designer was actually quite lovely. The people who came to install it were lovely, but they made it very clear to me though I was in Santa Barbara and he was in Irvine or Valencia. I know it's gonna take them four hours to get home. So, they didn't really wanna stay the first day to fix the problem that was their problem. And I was like, "Why am I being guilted by the people I'm paying to install this?"
They came back two weeks later and fixed. The problem was that they didn't schedule enough time to actually install it. They were just starting to install it and the sizes were wrong. The designer hadn't measured things properly. And so, then they had to reorder things back. We had to reschedule and ended up delaying it for a week. And then, they kept putting me on the phone with their manager, like he was gonna help. But then, he just keeps making promises, he never follow through it. The whole thing just felt kind of like a scam. Though, I recommended Closet World to my neighbor because they needed closets. But I also expressed that they got to make sure they stay on top of them. And that they can't expect Closet World to have any kind of full service treatment for them. In terms of my experience with Closet World, it’s not a full service company. It's more of just like I went to Home Depot.

I had double hangers, drawers, and some shelving installed in the bedroom closet. The designer that I worked with was good. She asked me questions and made sure I got what I wanted. She also had some nice ideas that I didn’t even think about. The installation was all done quickly and efficiently. But I would have liked them to clean up a little bit afterwards. There's a little sawdust and the shelves were all dirty. But overall, Closet World was professional and they have good quality products.

Closet World had a free estimate. They installed a pantry near the kitchen. The designer took an extremely long time to design it. She also made a mistake when it came to overlapping the pantry and we had to have a whole section of it removed when they came to install it. The installation experience was fine other than the fact that the area didn't fit. They reduced the cost and I'm still happy with what I got, but I would have liked to have what I wanted and originally ordered.

I had used California Closets in the past, of which I am very familiar with, but then I got a mailer from Closet World so I wanted to try something else. California Closets is from the top and Closet World is on the bottom. Then I had a lady come to my house whose name was Pam and she was lovely. She was so nice and she was very good at her job. She also gave us really good suggestions. She was very patient even though I have two kids. While I wasn’t sure about going with Closet World, it was Pam that made me want to go with them.
Pam came out and we made an appointment and she drew out what she thought would work. I also told her what I was thinking and she said it was a good idea but then she asked me if I had thought about this and how in the future this might be something that I want to do. So I thought about it and told her that it was an interesting idea. So, she drew out something else and I told her that we would go with what she drew. We had shelving, closets and drawers. We had the installation in the office downstairs but the one in the masters upstairs hasn't been installed yet and we're waiting.
The man who came for the installation was so nice. He was given three jobs in one day. Our window of time was 11:00 to 4:00 or 12:00 to 4:00. So, I actually had to take a half-day off of work. He did not arrive until 7:00 at night and that was a bummer. He called twice to say that he's sorry because he had to do a commercial installation and he was by himself. But he called to let us know that he's coming. Although he's running late, he would still arrive. When he arrived, he wasn’t slow or inefficient. So, he was great. Although, perhaps he might have been overbooked. Still, I would recommend them. I find the overall experience successful and I got the products I wanted.

I gave Closet World a call because they were offering a 40 percent discount. The designer was very helpful and she definitely produced the 3D diagram of what they were going to do. Unfortunately, it wasn't really true to size when they came and installed it. The measurements were a little bit off. What they installed was a little bit different from what was offered. But other than that, she was very helpful and forward as to what they are going to provide.
The installer was great and helpful. He was very knowledgeable of the product and got it done within a reasonable amount of time and definitely picked up after themselves. There were a couple of components that I had them not installed because it was different to the size that was given to me in the actual diagram. That was a belt organizer and a tie organizer. I got a follow up call from the installation supervisor because I wrote a review telling them that I was a little unhappy as to the material that was provided on the installation. I think they should definitely provide additional information as to the type of material they have to offer.

Closet World installed a Legacy closet, which is a compartment for shoes with eight drawers and hanging spaces, in our master bedroom. The designer we dealt with was new so what was supposed to be a two-hour appointment turned into a nine-hour ordeal which made us miss our family party, but that's okay. She was very helpful trying to get us the best design for the space we had. She also helped us with the colors and tried to also help try to get us some other pieces that they didn’t have actually in the type of wood finish we were looking for.
However, they only sent one guy out by himself to install. The gentleman, by the end of the day, he was rushing. He worked from 10 o’clock in the morning until 8 o’clock at night continuously. You could see the quality of the work took a hit because we ordered crown molding and that was the last piece that he put in. He had to put a lot of putty because the way he cut the crown molding, it wasn’t perfectly lined up in about two or three corners. To the naked eye it looks good, but once you take a close at it, you'll notice that there’s probably about a good quarter inch to an eighth of an inch, depending on what spot you’re looking at, of just putty covering the spot at the edges where it’s completely at a 45-degree angle. I understand and charged it up to fatigue.
It was very stressful because there were some concerns I had and they weren’t being addressed until the last minute. And then after all, we still didn’t get what we asked for. We called back and the gentleman was either not there or not returning calls. We couldn’t even find him. We still haven't heard back from him to this day.

I had Closet World install a white walk-in closet with an upgraded signature and cabinets with a workbench countertop in the garage. The designer who came out was good. She forgot a few things but managed to provide most of the information we needed. She also did all the measurements. But there were differences between her measurements of the sizes and dimensions as compared to the actual products that were ordered and delivered for the installers.
For the closet, the designer had left about six inches on one of the walls empty. The installer said designer should have just made it a little bit longer to have the shelves. So, the installers had to go back to the shop to order the right shelves and get the right dimensions on it. They got that done. However, the installers want to put square-edge shelves in the closets though I had gotten the upgrade to the signature which were the round shelves. I told them that but they said it’s not in their paperwork. When I tried to contact the designer, she had gone on travel for some time to Hawaii. It took a while for her to reply to me. So, that’s another delay. And then she was able to get to the installers and they eventually brought back the round shelves, but they still came back with the wrong size even though they had already came out the first time and had the info about the shelves and sizes. That’s another delivery and delay in the process.
Then on one of the walls of the garage, the designer had ordered a 128-inch countertop which was longer than the wall. One of the guys there asked me, “What do you want me to do? You want me to put it in like this?” I said, “Well, no, it's going to block my door.” I ended up with a different countertop as compared to what we initially agreed on. The installer said, “We can always cut it down.” I said, “Well, now, I'm trying to redesign this and make it fit.” And that’s what I did. The countertop got shorter and longer because it was way too long. It should have had some space at the end. Now, it's all the way up to the seam of the door.
The installers made it very clear that they are just the installers and they don’t do any of the designs. I’ve been trying to deal with the installation manager and he said, “I'm just the installation manager? What do you want me to do? I get the orders. I'm gonna do this.” I told him, “Well, I'm the one paying for this, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to cancel my order? You can't just keep screwing up and then I have to just pay for anything whatever you guys get me.”
When it was the third time they found a problem, they asked me what to do with it. I told them I don't know. They're just cutting down one of the walls’ shelves cabinets in the garage. The designer must have imagined everything and then when the installers put the shelves in, the installer can’t place them because they’re going to be in the way. The installer had to make the cabinets smaller now. But all of the cabinets should have been the same sizes so that we can interchange the shelves and do not have to buy anymore. Now I got three different-sized shelves that are no longer interchangeable. And just about every wall in my garage got completely redone.
One of the other thing that got me off guard too was when the installer came to the garage, he asked me if I got leg support for the cabinets so that when I put extra weight on the cabinets, they won't sag. I told him that the designer said it has warranty and did not mention about the leg support. So now, I have to order that. I called the installation manager because that’s who they told me to call. He said Closet World sell that. So, they built another $300 that I had to pay for. They didn’t bring enough leg support the first time even though they're the ones who told me how many I needed. They had to do another trip to give me the rest of the legs. They also showed up and brought the wrong sizes.
It was a lengthy process and a learned experience. They finished a couple of weeks ago. Overall, it took around six visits for the installers to finally get done. It was a hassle going back and forth. Their job was satisfactory, but for me it’s not the best. It wasn’t as good of an experience I've ever thought for my down payment either.

The installation was beautiful and amazing. Everything was on time and done properly. We moved into a new house and they were the only ones that we didn't have a problem with. The installation crew was quick and did a great job, too. Closet World did an unbelievable job. They were professional, prompt and it's remarkable. I had Closet World to install cabinets in my garage and the experience is bad. The designer was super unprofessional. She told me what they would do and she started making these little drawings which we went back and forth. She told me she wanted to come do her final measurements after all the appliances were put in. So, I had my appliances put in probably a week or two before. One of them was a washer and dryer and a refrigerator. And so, we’ve been using the washer and dryer in the meantime and it was great. Then they came for the installation and told me that the appliances need to be pulled out. I asked them if they know how to put them back in and they’re like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” So, they pulled my appliance out and installed, said they’re coming back to do a few more things. They built really fast and when they left, I could tell they wanted to get the hell of the house.
My cleaning lady was doing the laundry and found out the dryer’s working, but it wasn’t hot. Then we figured out when they put it back in, they didn’t install it correctly. So I called Closet World and told the rep what happened and she keeps telling me that the installers are not allowed to take appliances out. But they did. The dryer was working perfectly well before they came to install it and then it’s not working and the guy told me they didn’t touch the dryer.
So over a week later, I finally talked to the manager and told him I had paid for my cleaning lady to come. I need my dryer to work and to get the original people who installed them correctly to come reinstall my washer and dryer. And I showed Amy, the girl from Closet World, a huge refrigerator freezer, and I could wobble it with one finger after they reinstalled it back in. So, he said, “Fine. We’ll pay the bill.” So I had the real people to come back and reinstall it correctly. They pulled out the dryer and showed me behind the dryer at the wall, the gas was turned off. The bill was $550 and I've given it to Closet World. It’s been a while and I don’t have the money yet!
They also came back and put in the countertop. It was like this little raised back-to-back splash and Amy came back again to look at it. It wasn’t screwed to the wall, so that the end of it was like basically “butt out” sticking out. I can push it, and it seems to be attached to the wall. So, this is pulling everything off. She also noticed which I pointed out to her, at the very end of the counter there was a chip. But Amy took a picture of it and there was chip in the laminate.
Then the cabinets were enormous. I went and I put stuff in it after they’re installed and they immediately started going down. We immediately took stuff out of it. The manager told me what they do is just replace it with a thicker piece of wood at the bottom. I thought they should take those cabinets out and put in some mini sections and maybe three different sections with a shorter span.
They came back to replace the backsplash and it’s really weird because where they put the seam is so awkward. If I touch the edges, it feels roughed up again. And it doesn’t even look like they put the new bottom shelf in the cabinets at all. My husband said it’s exactly the same, that when I open it, I’ll see that the bottom won’t look like the other shelves because it’s thicker. They have been here so many times and messed everything up and I've paid them in full. It’s so very upsetting. Yesterday they left with the drill here. Closet World can have it back when they correct all the problems in my garage because since I've paid them in full, I have no say in any of this.
They’ve been here so many times, it’s unbelievable. On one end when I open up the garage, I’m looking at these built-ins and all the stuff from the built-ins to one refrigerator which is closest to the door. And then the wall that goes down the side of the built-in that I face when I open up the garage door, doesn’t even touch the ground. It’s like a dangling piece of plywood. And I showed that to Amy when she came around. I said, “Look at that. What about that?” So, on one of the times they came back, they put a strip at the bottom down there. But like all these strips at the bottom, and the strips between the wall and the cabinet, why was that even left undone in the first place? Why did I have to call them to even fix it? The installer should have looked at that and said that it’s bad. And this was really expensive.
My decorator, who told me to use the girl designer, was here and I showed her what they’ve done to my house and she’s like, “Oh, my god. I am so sorry. I will never, never use her again.” I have a very prominent house here in town. It’s a very old house and people know I did construction. I grew up here, so everyone knows and they would go, “Hey. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done.” If someone knocks here, then they could see it with their own eyes and they’re gonna know not to use Closet World.

My sister suggested Closet World to me. I asked for a Murphy bed so the designer from Closet World showed me some of the pictures and samples and explained it. But, while the installers put it in, they had some problem. It seemed the two didn't talk to each other because I asked for the designer in the first place to put the Murphy bed to be on a side of the wall and she said, "No problem". But then when the people who came and put them together looked at it, they said they could not do it because the wall was not straight. It's 90 degrees so they want us to cut down the foundation and I said, "How can you cut down the foundation of the house? You can't."
So they have to put the Murphy bed to a different wall and I thought they could cut down about almost one foot of the foundation for the height and then about two inches out of the wall and make the Murphy bed. So if they can cut that piece for about two inches, that should fit right in but apparently, they couldn't do it. But then after they finished to put everything together, I called back since the design doesn't look right because the molding for the lowest side is not the same as the molding on the top so it's not consistent throughout the entire bed. It looks right on one side but looks off on the other. I called back to see if they can come out and take a look at it. I sent out a picture to the manager to review it but no response back.

The designer did what I asked for and it was nice to work with her. The installation was pretty quick and the installers were good. My house apparently sloped a little bit. So, they to had to rig it a little bit to fit. If you get down and looked level on the floor, you could see some gaps and stuff in it. But if you just glance at it quickly, it looks flawless. But when they cleaned it off, I didn't realize it was gonna have that much of a strong scent. And I have a baby in the house so we went for a walk-in at the place and it has been pretty good by the time we came home.
My biggest complaint would be that it's definitely overpriced. Closet World had the special 50% off at the time, but they mark everything up in hindsight. I had to wait a little while for Closet World but they came in and did a very nice job. They called to let me know they are coming and the exact time. The young man that did the installation was very polite. He left everything as clean as could be. I had the dark wood installed and had one quite large closet down there. It was a big closet and I had jewelry drawers, scarf hangers, baskets, hampers and all kinds of shelving installed. I also had a smaller closet than normal done for my husband. They also did double hanging, lovely shelves, large shelf up above for out of season stuff.
Then they came back because they forgot the scarf thing. The installer said, "I'll be back at 10:00 tomorrow," and he did. He came in and was gone in half an hour. We were doing a big remodel in our house and we were going to have our contractor or whoever's going to do our cabinets to get it done, but he suggested calling Closet World instead. We ended up having them because it was going to be more cost effective. We had them do three closets in all three bedrooms and the designer was outstanding. She came right over and got the appointment set up. We told her what we were looking for, she gave suggestions, drew up some plans and explained what we can and cannot do because of the closet size.
I was, however, initially disappointed with the installation. I had it set up and they scheduled it out in advance. I explained to them a time that I had to leave by because I had to pick up my daughter from school. It’s a remodel so we were not living in that house and we were a distance away from it. But a guy called later and said he was running two hours behind. Apparently, he had another installation and that was taking them longer. So it was upsetting because I told them that if there was any way that I could wait another day or couple of days, I wanted to be the first appointment. I had to leave and I didn't have room for anything else. But when I explained everything to the guy when I called the customer service group, he pretty much told me that I was out of luck and the next installation was two and a half weeks away.
I called my sales rep, who was my designer. She answered her phone whenever I called her. And even if she may think it was a ridiculous question, she never made me feel like it was. She then suggested that I email this one group. She said that all the honchos and dispatch get that email. I sent the email and within the first five minutes after I hit “Enter”, I got a call from a dispatch manager in charge of that whole group. He had me set up two days later and was the first appointment.
I told my sales rep that with their guy who called me back, I couldn't have asked for anything better so I was thankful. The installation process started bad but this guy took the ball and he took care of everything. The reaction that I received from them was outstanding. The installers were extremely efficient and I had them install sliding glass doors, a bunch of shelving, a lot of drawers and four racks in the master bedroom. Everything about the installation was great. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my closet. It’s good quality and their people were professional and knowledgeable.

We tried another company but they gave us a higher quote and price was the biggest factor for us, so we went with Closet World. We've used them a couple of times now. They had done a walk-in closet for us, and then most recently, it was just a door that we switched out. We were going to do more but the price was not as good.
From a sales perspective, it's really hard to find good customer service and people that aren’t trying to oversell you for their own selfish needs. But Lily was phenomenal. She's very honest, helpful and thorough. She had a very sweet demeanor too. She did a good job and I love her. The installers also did a nice job and were professional. I would definitely recommend Closet World without hesitation.

It was a simple project but she knew what I needed and wanted and she was very helpful. The Closet World designer also knew what I wanted and figured out where it would best go. I had little shelves backed up to a wall in the bedroom closet to accommodate my shoes, hats and handbags. The installer was very professional and knew what he was doing. Closet World was offering the garage style, utility type of cabinetry that I was looking for. A representative came out and we went over it together. And it was an easy decision. Then the installer showed up on time, took care of it and did a good job. There was no problem with the process at all. So it was straightforward. I work for a school and the cabinet is pretty much a storage in our Spanish classroom. I'm satisfied with Closet World.

Closet World has been sending stuff in the mail forever and I did a project with them, but it was split into two parts. I had one done six months before the other part and it was because of my readiness. The first part went smoothly but the second one with the garage wasn’t as smooth. All because the designer had left the company and I needed to confirm some things but the information wasn’t as available.
And then when calling in with the representatives, they would state something so matter of factly, but not explain why. They have to understand that customers aren’t in their business. So, taking a little bit of time to explain the context of some decisions and things would be helpful. Overall, it was okay but the price is not worth the quality. I would not recommend them.

I've had Closet World do the set up in my garage. And so, I went back to them to install my pantry set up. Their designer was knowledgeable. He looked into things and got back to us in a timely manner. Also, everything was timed perfectly and completed well by their installation crew. They installed perfectly and gave advice as well. However, the garage set up failed about 10 years after they installed it. I had to pay 100 bucks for Closet World to come back out. Still, no product lasts forever, and Closet World products should have at least a 10 or 20-year warranty on the item during which you should not have to pay for someone to come out and replace a broken or defective part.

I got three estimates altogether from other companies including Closet World and I chose Closet world because their price and delivery were right. I had them install cupboards that are from floor to ceiling and workbenches on two garage walls. The designer was there when she took measurements. She also worked with me about not covering up outlets and vents and she suggested a smaller space, too. I didn't want any open spaces and I wanted it all connected. She put in a small cupboard for me so it was helpful. The two guys that came for the installation were nice. They were very efficient and they got it done a couple of hours early. So, it worked out great.
I called the factory in the City of El Monte or City of Industry because there was a small cabinet that we put in and it was deep and tall but short width-wise. They only gave me one shelf and it had been perfect for videos. I called them up and they said they have another shelf for me if I could go and pick it up, which was very nice for the people from Closet World to give it to me. I appreciate their quick delivery. Everybody else was four to six weeks out and I got it done within a week. Overall, Closet World is very convenient and they knew what they were doing.

But at the same time, it took a lot of rescheduling just to get someone to my house. I have to take like a whole day off from work just so that they can get the installation done. Closet World is an established company that's been around for a while and they’ve had a reputation. Their designers are very knowledgeable, patient and overall, very professional. The products installed were for an inside organization of the closet consisting of shelves, new doors, the mirror wardrobe doors and exterior wardrobe doors. We had a problem and had to reorder the doors. Other than that, everything came off as planned and the scheduling was good. Hopefully, I can use them again with the other closets that I have to do in my project. The greatest value I found was in the prices of the shelf, the doors and others. The mirror doors were a bit pricey because they were floor-to-ceiling, but the quality of the product was good.

I got a mailer that says that Closet World had a significant discount and that was intriguing. So, I called them up. The sales rep was very nice. When I look at the pictures and then look at the end product, I was thrown off a little. The pictures always look better. Even when she drew the diagram, I just envisioned something slightly different. I guess if I spend more, it would look nicer or it was just my closet.
The installer was very fast and efficient. I wasn’t happy that he left some stuff behind, so I had to clean up after him a little bit. But he’s just a human being. He did as much as he could. I asked him to throw some things but he says he can't. I presumed he took a lot of it and then he was going to leave much more but I showed him where the garbage was and then I saw he was going to come back to do the rest but he didn’t. But, they arrived on time. They did what they were supposed to do and they were efficient.
I had some drawers put in, some shelves and some place for my shoes. Space-wise, you just don’t know if it's gonna meet all of your needs. The salesperson can only say that it’ll accommodate this many shoes. On the other hand, the closet was priced right. They know what people are willing to spend, so they were smart to offer a discount and they had options to upgrade it if you want to. I wouldn’t have spent anymore. Hopefully, they’ll improve the cost. It's nice and the quality is good. It's functional and it helps me stay organized which is what I needed. If I ever sell my place, it’ll make it that much more desirable because it's so organized type of thing. I noticed I should have done this myself to make it prettier if I just knew what they were doing, but it's fine. It's not as pretty as I thought it was going to be.

I used Closet World a couple of times over the past two decades. Recently, I had them install Meer doors on a couple of reach-in closets. I ended up getting a designer who had done a prior design on my house about ten years ago. My old account came up, she came out and it was great. I had a really good experience working with her.
With these sliding doors, there’s a bottom track that goes on the floor and then a top rail that goes that gets mounted up into the casement. The doors were all manufactured to a specific size but the tracks were a generic length. When the installation guys got here, the first thing they did was re-measure the insert location, which should've already been done by the consultant. And then they hauled a SKILSAW right there in the driveway and cut the metal down to size for the bottom track and the top rail. The thing about that is when you do that on site, you’ll end up with a rough edge and then they just pop that in place.
But if they already had the exact measurement, they could have cut those offsite, like at a shop, and it could have been done in a cleaner fashion and they could have honed down any burrs that were left on the track. In the end, it was an acceptable job, but they could have done better. But other than that, the installation crew did a good job.

I had Closet World install a walk-in closet for a guest room and I wanted it to be as cheap as possible, but then I don’t want it too cheap because I don’t want to have to repair it down the line. I was originally planning on going with Cabinets Plus because their price was really good compared to Closet World’s, but then I lost the business card to call them. So then it went down with Closet World because even though I didn’t like the price, I just went with it because they were my second choice. But it took me three years to save up to go with Closet World.
The designer of Closet World had a lot of options that she offered but they didn’t fit my budget. So I had to decline a lot of it. But she was very professional. On the day of the installation, the guy came on time, but I was surprised that only one person came out. Cabinets Plus did the other closets in the other rooms and they had two people come out. I felt bad for the installer of Closet Word because it was a guest walk-in closet, and it was upstairs. It took him five hours because I had a lot of shelves and doors, so he had to set up a lot of pieces. But he was knowledgeable and professional.
I even had him make some changes and he explained to me he couldn’t go that route because that would be unstable for the frame. So he had to do other adjustments to make it look good because he noticed that I have a taller ceiling than usual. I have white floors throughout the house including the shower. I told him I want to show my floor and I don’t want it covered because I paid big bucks for those. So he had to make some changes to it. His boss then called and tried yelling at him. I just felt bad for him that he took so long and then he got yelled at. Then he had to go to the other location. I'm like, “What about lunch?” He was like, “I have to go. I'm already late.” And all I could offer him was bottled water 'cause I don’t have any snack bar. Overall, it was a great experience.

Closet World had really good customer service at first, and it was easy to book an appointment and the designer was very pleasant. So, I had them install a walk-in closet for the room upstairs. In the beginning, working with the designer went really smooth. She was meticulous. I told her that we were going to need a closet that supports sliding drawers and that my contractor was going to install the sliding drawers. I needed two feet depth so that we could install them. I also told her that we were traveling. Then I came home to see a closet that is 12 inches deep.
The way it was installed left stains on the wood that can't be brushed off. That part of the wood is ruined because it was stacked one on top of the other. There are splints that are coming out of the closet, which my assistant got a splinter from. I wouldn't put my clothes there. I wouldn't want to even work with that. The drawers are loose and this is a cheap finishing in every way. I called her and followed up with her numerous times. She was supposed to call me back but nobody called for a follow-up appointment.
Mistakes are fine but at this point, I want a refund. Nothing was properly completed. My boyfriend was really upset with me because I was really patient with Closet World. I do give people the benefit of the doubt but this has disrupted our life. I've hired another company, and I told Ramon to remove this closet if they want. If not, then we can just toss it out. The people at Closet World are pleasant but I wouldn't recommend it. I wasted time and money.

My wife was looking primarily for quality and workmanship-like work of closet and we were willing to pay for it. We could have gone to Home Depot, get the things and install it, but it wouldn’t be quality work and so we got Closet World. They installed three inside closets in our bedrooms and a hallway bookshelf in the study room. The designer was receptive to our concerns and comments that we had. However, the installation experience was a different story. There were two guys that did the installation. One was going around putting caulking around and cleaning, but the second guy said, “No, no, no, we got to go.” They were very pleasant but were very rushed because they had to go somewhere else. They never completed the fine aspects of the job like requiring caulking or realignment of doors and things like that. We looked at the products and we're not happy with it.
There's already been one follow-up appointment. When they brought the products for replacement, they had manufacturing defects and were dirty as well. The large door to the bookshelf in the study’s warped and the second door got chips and dirt in it and frayed on the edges. It probably would have been laying outside and the weather got to it.
The closets in the bedrooms also got manufacturing defects. The top drawer has a large gap that one could see right through what's in it. I suggested that they put a bullnose shelf so that we cover that gap. Then the alignment of the panels were off that’s why the drawers weren’t closing properly. So, we put little spaces underneath but now we have a gap between the back baseboard and the panels. I sent pictures to the installer manager and he was very kind and understanding. He said they'll see what they can do and will resolve it when they come out. They're sending the same installer to take a look at it again.
They're all friendly and courteous, but the craftsmanship and workmanship are not good. It was over five grand and we took financing out. When we pay what we believe to be for quality work, we expect it to be like that. Now we have to pay five grand plus the interest on the products and services that we're not happy with. And then the hassles of having to open our home up every couple of weeks for them to come in. We're very dissatisfied and I wouldn’t recommend it. We would not use them again.

I've used California Closets for most of my things. This time I tried the Closet World to see the difference. One thing I found was that there is a very good communication between the designer and the installer of Closet World and California Closet doesn’t have that. I had Closet World install a cabinet in the garage. The designer looked like she knew what she's talking about. I'm supposed to put a safe and I talked to her about it. I have something like almost 200 pounds which is very heavy and she told me that there's no problem with that and they will fix it and it’s going to be covered with four walls and a roof that can carry the safe safely.
When they installed it, it can only hold about 30 pounds which was way out of what we talked about. It's entirely very useless and the designer didn’t help me about that. I talked to Craig and he said he'd fix it. I also accidentally hit my cabinet and made a big dent on it. I mentioned that to Craig as well and he was very nice enough to replace it with a new one. Everything was done without my wife’s knowledge so I'm very glad that Craig was very helpful in that particular area.
The same installer came back to whom Craig gave a very good instruction. Then the installation guy came back and told me what's going to be done. It's only three walls of the closet that would be covered because the backdoor would be open and that’s all he can do, which I find stupid because how can he make a cabinet if he can't cover the back. But he's telling me that I have the house wall and I don’t have to cover that. I told him that with the back open, it could give easy access to a rat or any animal and the dust is just going to go in there which can be very annoying. But I couldn’t deal with it anymore because I'm a very busy person and I cannot wait and talk to these people, it's taking so much of my time. So I said it was fine and I could live with it. It's frustrating but with my incident with Craig, I would go back and refer Closet World to my friends.

I picked a couple of closet companies, met with the consultants, and got a couple of quotes. Closet World came a little bit lower than the other one that’s why I went with them. The designer was good and very patient. The only thing is that they didn’t equip her with any auto design tool. So, she has to manually draw everything and it takes a little longer. If there’s any change, she had to go to another pad and draw again and that seems a little bit not very automated nowadays. Also, since their showroom is in Hayward, which is pretty far for me to drive to and they don’t open Saturday, I didn’t really have a chance to look at all different version of the product. I go by a little sample she showed me in terms of the color. I picked the color and it turns okay.
All four products are good but I was a little bit not too happy with the drawers. I ordered the second which is not the cheapest one and it's supposed to have the little, rounded edge. But the edges around the drawer are not very seamless. I can see the seam and the little things sticking out. It’s not as smooth as it should be. When the guys are putting that in, I said I didn’t expect that and the guy said that I should not have picked that and that my consultant should have advised me.
Also, their standard rod comes in chrome in a modern, square look and I’m trying to match my other accessories and my bathroom which is all satin nickel. So, I ordered that and it’s more expensive because, apparently, not many people use it. I was okay with paying the premium but when it came in, it was this big round tube and not the square look, which is easy for any size of hangers to hang. But because I changed the spec to the satin, one thing my designer failed to tell me is that it's not the same style and what came was this old-fashioned big round tube with the satin finish, which definitely is not as good-looking.
I asked the installer and see if it's something that’s standard. He said that very few people order satin and that’s the only way it comes. I cannot change it because I have to pay the entire brand-new price and because it’s already pre-cut so, I let it go. That’s a little bummer. It was my choice but I wish she could have told me when I told her I want the satin. I also have a problem with some of my hangers because my hangers are much smaller than others. But the installers are very good, polite and efficient. I was not there the whole time. I let them in, they explained to me and I showed them. Then they called me when they’re about to be done so, I went back home and they did everything okay. Overall, Closet World has good value and quality friendly people.

And after they left, I didn’t have to call them for any touchup. Overall, it’s a pleasant experience and I’m very satisfied with the work, the design, and everything.

My experience with Closet World was excellent and I will totally refer them. I like the walk-in closet that they installed. They’re very sturdy and the design is nice. Their designer was very professional and kept great communication with us. The installation was also done in a timely manner. He cleaned up and left the area the same as when he got here. I called the rep who came out and did the quote because I should’ve gotten another drawer instead of the shelf. She told me to hold off until I decide to do my garage because to do the drawer alone was about $500 and that’s expensive so I agreed with her.

My mom had Closet World products installed at her house and I had the company install some closets and a work bench in my garage. The designer did some measurements but it didn't turn out the way I thought it was going to. The installers were very nice but they brought the wrong countertop and wrong drawers and one of the doors was chipped. So they came back out and put the other countertop on but I noticed that there was a gap when the first countertop was installed. The installer said he was gonna put some caulk in but never did that. If I could get somebody out to do that, I would appreciate it. But the quality was good. It is a very nice product.

I also had cabinets put above a desk area and in my laundry room. Their designer came and he drew up a plan after we told him what we wanted. Then, their installer came and did a really good job. He had a lot to do and was there most of the day. If he had questions, he asked me. And if I had questions, I would ask him.

I had a closet installed in our office years ago and Closet World did a good job so I called them for another closet. The vendor was so good, so open and gave suggestions. The vendor is not working through Closet World anymore though. The installation was good. The guys are very reliable and clean. But they missed two shelves on the beginning of the first project. Then, they said, “No. It’s right. That’s right. The same project.”
I called today and the guy said he will give the two shelves to me as free. I said, “That’s not free. I paid for that.” He said, “No. I’d give it to you but you need to pick up over here.” It’s two hours to pick it up so I didn’t go. Everything was going smooth and I love the closet but I didn’t like how they finished it. Because if I paid for the shelves, they need to ship it. And they’re not giving it for free because I paid for them. But he said, “No. If you want it, it’s here. Never call me back.” Besides that, everything is all right and I'd recommend Closet World.

I bought a closet and my experience is not so good. The designer came here, looking very nice and sweet, and I designed the closet with her. The problem showed up when they came to install it. Ramon, the installer, told me that I was gonna see the part that is not painted. I didn't want that. It would have been ugly. He said I had to buy the backing and it's not standard.
I don't buy a closet everyday and the designer didn't explain the details to me. She saw my closets and she should have said that they are gonna take the rod out of the closet and the unpainted part is gonna be seen. She should have suggested that I buy the backing, but she even put that I didn't want that backing. She marked that, not me. I supposed all closets have that backing. She didn’t even know how to fill up the form for the credit. So she's not so experienced. That's okay, I don’t judge for that. But she made a terrible mistake. Plus, she drew everything and explained that I was gonna have a shelf all over the place as one unit and that all the units were gonna be the same. But I didn’t know that in the drawing, she only drew one shelf and all the rest was just hanging.
It was a Jewish holiday and it was very, very inconvenient for me that they installed that day. I set up everything for that to happen before the holiday. All my clothes was already taken out and were on the floor. All the inconvenience and it wasn’t nice. They gave me the backing for a discounted price but I needed to wait four days for them to install it again and I had to pay. I wasn't happy.
I feel that they don't have a customer service that really cares if I leave a bad review. I put out a complaint two days after this happened and they don't care. They told me I had to write an email. I did and until now, nobody has called me, no apology. They said they were gonna give $75 back to my account but I don't see it. It was a very stressed time for me. Ramon was the only person who was nice. He tried to fix it and explained to me how these things work. They came and installed the closet on the day that he promised me and they finished the job. Actually, the closet is not bad, but the customer service is horrible.

I was renovating a home and I needed closets so I called Closet World. They came right out and took care of it. The closets I got are the same thing one can buy at Home Depot and assemble by yourself. I could’ve gotten the same product for probably a third of the price if I'd have dug around. But I wanted closets now and Closet World gave me what I ordered and what I agreed to.
The designer and I had a great interaction. I wanted to hire her as an interior designer for me but she said she couldn’t do that because of a conflict of interests. But she said as long as I'm buying product, she’ll share ideas. I got plenty of storage and she pretty much gave me the design I wanted. But there was a design deficiency that the installation team couldn’t handle, so they submitted to me a redesign right on the spot. Then they put it together and installed it in the bedrooms. When they left. I altered it a little but just to my own taste. I'm glad I went with Closet World. I got what I wanted and I'm satisfied with the product.

My experience with Closet World was good. I just called them and then I was satisfied. I never even tried another one. In one side of the garage, they installed shelving and closets and a workbench on the other. I had one side done first and then the other side not too long ago, and both sets of installers were amazing and very nice. The designer was great, knowledgeable and very pleasant. She came out both times. I do crafts and sell them, so I needed something in the garage where I could hang them and put them in Tupperware so they’re all in one spot. So, anybody who comes to buy something, I say when they ask, “Oh, Closet World did this.” I show it off to everybody who comes over. I had a pleasant and nice experience. Once it was done, it was exactly what I envisioned so I was completely satisfied. I'd recommend them.

We remodeled our condo and we had a combined closet system and an office system installed in a hallway from Closet World. Their designer was nice and helpful. She had a good knowledge on what we were needing and she was professional and courteous as well. However, I was not satisfied with my installation experience. They told me that it could be done in one day, but it took much longer. On the first day they came out, they've been working too long so they had to come back a second time. Then on the second time, one of the doors was wrong so they had to come back again the third time.
Also, the installers told me that they won't charge me until it's complete, but they ended up charging me the rest of the 50% a few days after even though my closet wasn't installed yet. Then I'd have to wait a whole entire week for them to come out again everytime they made a mistake. So, I had to request days off two times to accommodate the mistakes that I didn't expect to happen. Then they made paint chips on my wall and on my ceiling. Other than that, the installers were really nice. They were doing their job and I could see the frustration they had because it wasn't working. Also, they were able to fix it and I like how it looks now. So overall, the product is good, but the service is bad.

Closet World has more options available and I got them to install stuff for master bedroom closets, a food pantry and then a linen closet. I really like the first lady designer I interacted with because she had been in the business a long time and she had construction experience so she knew quite a bit. However, the second lady designer was new and we had a couple of glitches. The installation experience was good and the installers were fast. We had very minimum interaction but it was fine and they cleaned up good.
When they designed my closet, two of the pull out doors wouldn’t fit because of the angle of the pantry door. We waived the drawers because they weren’t going to work and we went with flat shelf so they were going to credit me. When someone called a week later for follow up, I told them they owed us credit. Then I was on hold and the rep said she’d get right back to me but I never heard back from them. Nonetheless, the overall experience with them has been good.

Closet World was pleasant, knowledgeable, and respectful. The installation team was running late at a previous appointment but it was nothing that was drastic. They did build the closet that I asked them but I was unaware or unclear that they were going to remove all of the baseboards from my closet. And once they did, it's left at the very bottom where the baseboards were, so I had to have the closet painted. It's tacky at the very bottom because of the removal of the baseboards. Other than that, it was an awesome experience. I love the closet. I bought it for my wife and she loves it. Closet World was great and I'd recommend that people use them.

We thought Closet World was gonna be cheaper, but ultimately they weren’t. We were debating between them and California Closets which is probably one of the more expensive options. But we chose them because their install date was immediate and California Closets' was eight weeks out and we needed to get this done.
We met with the designer three times and she was very responsive. But ultimately, I wasn’t very happy with her. I was designing with her and she made my design on paper with, a good majority of the time, the right measurements. I wasn’t able to be at the last meeting because I was working so, my fiancé met with her and he didn’t know the things that we discussed. He signed off on the paperwork and it ended up not being anything that we talked about. She didn’t change anything from the last time that we were supposed to. The closets were supposed to go to the ceiling which was an absolute must and then there wasn’t. We had four closets - two walk-in master closets, the size of a bedroom for one of them, and then my two kids’ walk-in closets.
Howard, the contractor, was able to fix a lot of the problems that she messed up on. He helped and he was awesome. He found a solution but then there still were issues. Some things were chipped and then some of the little knobs of the drawers were completely off. It didn’t make sense why things were not aligned when they were installing them. Also, we don’t get to see an actual drawer before it’s installed, but they’re flimsy. We probably could have gotten something from Costco that was nicer. So, I’m not happy at all about that. She kept saying that once there are clothes in there, it’ll be nicer. But I’m not very impressed with the product.
There are already chips in the cabinets from when they installed them. Then there was where I’m supposed to have display purses but it got completely cut off. They’re coming to fix that too, which is another thing that I don’t understand why my designer made anything that way. She said glass shelving and then it came but there were four shelves where there should only be one shelf. So we can’t even display a purse or you can barely display like a billfold. There’s no space at all and I really wasn’t that happy. I don’t think I’d recommend Closet World.

I'm happy with my closet by Closet World but dissatisfied with the experience. I saw them online and we had a coupon. I had a complication with the company’s designer regarding my contract. I emailed and complained to the manager because I wanted to cancel one closet. I was not going to continue and would just close my deposit. They told me I'm going to have credits, so a year later I decided to move forward and do the closet so as not to lose my deposit. I was not mad anymore. I recently paid for the rest of the closet.
The designer measured the closet wrong, so the installers came in and installed whatever they could install. They couldn’t also put the drawers because they were measured wrong. The installer measured them again and when another installer came back three days later, the closet was still measured wrong. By the third time the installer came, the closet fitted. That was yesterday or two days ago. The designer should know how to measure the closet right. I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble.

We had garage cabinets installed by Closet World. Our designer was very active. She was out here three or four times modifying the designs. However, during the installation, Closet World had a few parts that were wrong. The measurements by the designer were wrong so they had to remanufacture the countertop and modify the installation. Some cabinets were also wrong and they came out the wrong size. The hinges were supposed to be self-closing and that was wrong too. Some of the drawers also didn't close properly so they had to readjust the hinges. They didn't have very good parts with them and so the installation dragged on. We needed two follow-up appointments thereafter.
Nevertheless, the installer was good because he checked things out beforehand and caught the errors. He made sure things were matched up and that's how he found the mistakes. In the end, our needs were resolved. While there were bumps along the road, Closet World was flexible. They stepped up and fixed the mistakes they made.

I liked the price that Closet World gave so I did most of my whole house with them. It was more reasonable than I thought it would be. The designer was very knowledgeable and patient with me as I tried to figure out what I really wanted. The first closet was my master. It’s between a wall closet and a walk-in, there was useless space. She gave me a great price. And then I asked her, while she was there, to give me estimates on my two other closets, and they’re reasonable. And there’s one closet I want it done in a particular way. I paid cash for the three closets, but I didn’t have enough money to do what I want to do in the garage. It was just a wall of cabinets, so I financed that. And it’s been great.
Tommy came on time and did my closet first. The two other closets had to be done the next day. The person who did the other closet was late. He got hung up on a prior job but they called me a couple of times to let me know about when he was going to be there. I was worried because they only sent one guy and there were two closets, but he knocked them out really fast. A week later, they did the garage and they brought two people to do that. When he knocked on my door to install my cabinet, he was shy, nice and kind, but the bottom line is, it would’ve been better if he dressed like an installation guy and not some kid in sneakers who is installing my bedroom cabinet.
Another thing is, the people from Closet World should’ve called two days before and one day before they came, but they called four to five times, which was too much. Plus, they didn’t suggest that I should get an upgrade or ask if I wanted more drawers. I have no doors on my drawers, but nobody said “We have some great doors. Let us show you the doors we use. I received a pamphlet from Closet World in the mail and thought, "Let me look into it and see what they do." I ended up having them install a complete wardrobe in the master bedroom closet. I have 20 linear feet of closet. Three shoe things, multiple levels of hangers, three drawer banks and it's all finished. I knew exactly what I wanted and the designer improved on it. She was the best interaction I had at Closet World. She was knowledgeable and could do everything. She showed up and was going to design it right on the spot but because I knew what I wanted and we had space, she took it home and worked on it for a while then came back and we worked on it together again. She re-drew it and we finally settled on a design and negotiated the price.
The installers didn’t come with all the tools they need to do the job. I was initially told it's going to be three days to install. They were sending their very best crew and they usually got installed in one day. When I got home, I thought for $12,000 I should have been able to hang my clothes up in it and not have to clean up after their mess. Two of the drawers didn't work so I had to have them come back. I called them immediately and they came back out the next day and got the drawers working. He just said, "Well you know what, all you had to do was take them out and put them back in again." I go, "I shouldn't have to do that. You should have checked them before you left."
I immediately called my sales person too. She was not easy to get a hold of because she’s very busy and also, she had already made the sale so out of sight, out of mind. But she finally returned my call and told me where to send my dissatisfaction to. And she said, "You have to do it right away." and so I did. They followed up immediately and did everything that they said they were going to.
The installers were also very slow and at the end, the third time out that they brought the final product-- and I had paid extra for this stool and baseboard, they didn't bring their own base to finish the product with. They brought me my eight feet that I had paid for. And I said, "Okay, that's fine. You can have my eight feet but you're going to have to bring me the base board." And the guys agreed to it and then they dropped off a piece of wood that was two pieces eight feet long by six inches wide and I said, "Well, that's not the size of my baseboard. My baseboard is two inches." And I called the man that I have been dealing with in the warehouse and then he said, "Well sir, that's because we cut it down to make it fit right. I'm not going to cut that down for you." I said, "Well, you took my baseboard and used it for your product because your guy sent it out without it. Yes, you're going to cut it."
I told them that I'm not going to be back in Palm Springs for three weeks.I said, "Don't lie to me. Every time, you're out here at least once a week. I know what's going on." I had a very difficult time dealing with them. And finally I told them that I won't give them a good review. And that I have my other closets and I won't even use them. He finally said, "Okay, sir. I'll get back with you. I'll let you know." And he said, "Yeah, I can be out there the first of May." But in the meantime, I did find somebody that would cut that wood down. I happened to look out and there was a carpenter working two doors down so I took the piece of wood to him and he cut it down to size.
I sent Closet World an email to let them know I didn’t need them to come and do it because I got it done. I'm not happy with their customer service or their overall product delivery. The actual people that produced the product and the installations are poor. The guy gave me his piece of paper to be sure I sign on to a review site and give him a good five-star review. When I got him back there I said, "Now, would you like me to still sign on and give you a 1 star review or were you only interested if I give you 5 stars?" And he goes, "I still think I deserve 5 stars." I said, "5 stars mean you did the job right the first time you were on top of what you did. You left things messy and you didn't do a good job." But I'm happy with my sales person. She was very nice and knowledgeable and she designed what I wanted.

For the first closet I had done by Closet World, the rollers are the regular ones that you would get from Home Depot. The drawers are smaller so the roll is very smooth. You wouldn't even pay any attention to what type of rollers the drawer sits on because the roll of it is solid good. It is clean, crisp, and the drawers glide in by themselves with no extra push. With our master closets, which were bigger projects, the drawers are much bigger. The rolling in and out of the rollers, with the weight that it's holding, is not smooth. It's raggedy and it sounds loud. It's a cheap quality sound. I've shared it with them that I'm not satisfied. The excuse that they're giving me is that because those drawers are heavier. Also, the quality of the rollers are the least expensive and I understand that I didn't purchase the top quality product. In order to get the better rollers I have to pay to upgrade. But, he gave me a very good deal on that.
I'm going to change the rollers because I can't stand that sound. When you pay that kind of money that I invested, even if it's not the top of the line, you still expect to get good quality work and product. Also, they don't have enough men on their jobs. It's cheap labor because they sent one gentleman to do the job, to install two closets. He was by himself and he felt pressured. He was rushed for time. He came 11 in the morning and he completed the job close to eight at night. That was unreasonable. You knew the product on hand and what type of job you had and you only sent one person. We got our closet for my kid's room done by Closet World. The designer came on time but spent a lot more time than what I thought would be needed. I wish I’d been told that it's gonna take three or four hours because it took a much longer time getting everything done. The problem was the closet she designed was incorrect. And I’ve had this problem with Closet World a couple of years ago as well. The designer designed the closet, came in, then the installers came in and said, “Look, this design is flawed. There’s no way you can do this.” They could not install the closet. They had to cancel the order and it took me some time to get the money back. This time, the same thing happened again. I told the designer about that previous experience and said, “Please make sure that everything is right.”
But our measurements were wrong again. So when the builder came, he figured out fast that it doesn’t work. He and I sat down and were able to get a workaround then he needed to come another day to finish the installation. I spoke to his manager and told him that in both experiences, I've seen the builders know a lot more than the designers. The installers were great. The attitude was amazing. The last guy understood and really helped come up with a workaround. After that, they were supposed to mail me two cupboard dividers which they didn't install as they didn't have these then, but these never came.

Closet World was referred to me. They came out, gave me the quote and talked about what would be done. I had two different closets installed, one in our master bedroom and then our hallway closet. The installation was a little bit further out than I wanted it to be, but the guys who came and did it were nice and moved it forward a week. Also, I came home right as we were finishing up, and everything seemed to be clean and well done. Overall, it was a little expensive. The fact that we were getting two, I would have liked to have a better price on it. If I had more time and quoted it out, I could have gotten the same product for a little less expensive at a couple of other places, but I didn’t have the time to get it figured out.

I didn't like the salesperson at Closet World. She gave me the price rate that seemed odd. It was sort of an up-in-the-air price range and could've negotiated. There was no set number based on what you're getting, she just measured it out. I like the installer though because he was good and real nice. I helped him out whenever he needed and it all worked out great.

Closet World showed us how it was going to work when I was looking for someone to make our closets. We already have the house and we’ll have it same setup in there so I kinda knew what I was looking for. The designer was very good. He made us look at two different beautiful designs. We reviewed them then we went with it. Plus, the pricing was good. The installers came on time, started on it, put everything together and cleaned up. The closet setup was installed. There was the little shelf and the piece which can go on the corner. But they didn’t know that they should bring that. So they said they’ll come back and they did it after two weeks. Overall, they have a great product and an excellent service.

I went with Closet World after I met their salesperson who was very knowledgeable. She helped us design our closet and was really good at measuring it. And so, when their installer came, everything he had fit perfectly. Also, the installer finished it all in one day when I thought it was going to be two. Then, I got a thank you card from the sales rep. I've had closet systems before and Closet World's is better than the one I had. Moreover, they were very professional in how they worked and their timing. Everything was right as Closet World said it was going to be. I would highly recommend them.

Closet World had a really good offer going on so I got them to do three closets in two bedrooms. However, we had an issue with the Closet World designer that we got for those closets because we were her first clients. She made a mistake on one of the designs and when they came to install it, it was wrong so they had to redo part of the work and then come back another time and install it. Also, they recently did a linen closet for me, and something broke, so I had to call that in and ask them to please send somebody to repair it. They didn't break it, but it was not installed correctly, so I got to call and make sure that they've taken care of the stuff. This was just installed a month ago, so it shouldn't be breaking.

I got a coupon in the mail and I have a neighbor who had small job done by Closet World, and that pushed me to give Closet World a call. I had them install a whole closet in the master bedroom. We also had an island put in the center. There are doors, drawers, shelves, belt racks, and valets. The lady that came to my house originally that I signed off with was very nice. I had an idea of what I wanted and needed, and I actually walked down to a model to show her, and she was fine with that. She definitely took her time. So, I was very happy with that.
It was a two-day installation and the man who came to install the closet had somebody with him on the first day who did not come back, and the guy had to install on his own on the second day. But even then, he did a really good job, so I was also happy with that. The guy that put the closet together was wonderful. He was nice and considerate. He did the job in the time that he was supposed to. Everything's great and the closet looks wonderful. I had a great experience with Closet World and I have no complaints whatsoever. I'm having more closets done and I am meeting with somebody tomorrow morning on that.

We’re contractors and we were looking for a good deal for our clients. Closet World had a really good sale going on and our client wanted them. The designer was nice enough but designers tend to have a lot of scribbling and not a lot of cohesion. There were a few changes, which I understand, but they might want to streamline their process of creating a design and pricing it because I had a lot of stuff floating all over the place and it wound up making a few confusions at the end because we wound up doing five closets all at once. It’s for a really big house. Having a cohesive list and each design named and putting those names on a regular price list with the finished price would have made our life a lot easier. The closets turned out looking nice but the process, as far as for someone running a business is concerned, was a little tricky.
The installer was a wonderful guy and did a fast and nice job. He caught a mistake that the designer made because she wasn’t thorough in her information to them. Our credit card was charged without prior notice for $7,000 something but luckily, we had them reversed because the client wanted to pay it a different way. Closet World needs to watch that people don’t do things like that because I've had another material supplier that did that to us and it tends to piss off clients. If it was a homeowner that maybe didn’t have it in the bank or had to move some money around, it can really hurt.

We were re-doing some of the house and seeing a truck, I thought of calling Closet World to have two closets installed. One for the master’s bedroom and one was a hall closet. Probably not the wisest thing but I just want to get it done. And they seemed to have a good reputation. A lady came in and looked at what we had and what we wanted to store. Then she provided recommendations on the best way to achieve the storage that we were looking for. The installation went quick and easy and it seems to be going together well after it’s been installed. It looked really good. Everything was done as they described and the quality was as I expected based on the description and the materials that they gave me. So I’m happy with it. They’re slightly overpriced because I was looking at doing it ourselves. So for having someone come in and do it, not having the hassle of having to deal with that, it was a very pleasant experience.

Closet World can't get it right the first time, but the end result is good. The first experience, they did my walk-in closet. I had to call them 15 to 20 times. They had to come back six times before they got it right. But it's nice. It's quality is okay. I was just so fed up. Recently, I got a pantry installed and they came back three times. The designer designed the pantry with garage cabinets. So, when the first guys came to install it, he said, "Oh, these are garage cabinets." And I have a pantry. So they had to go back and remake them.
I didn't like the customer service the first time. I wrote letters. I had to research all over the internet who owns the company. I went on LinkedIn and got their information. I sent emails to everybody and that's when I started to get some response. The customer service is lacking. I shouldn't have had to write letter, after letter, after letter and keep calling them for this. And then, I would have to schedule an appointment. I was working 50 miles away from home. So, I would have to hurry home, so I could make the appointment. Also they should be upfront with their customers and tell the price. They are sending out 40 percent off, 60 percent off ads but they play games with the price. But when you say, "No, I don't want it." Then they make another deal.

Closet World was the first one to call me back. I have a 4,000 square foot house and I had about six projects that I was planning on using them for but I won’t be using them again. The first project I had, which is the last one I'm doing, is with my office space that I built. I had them install a Murphy bed and an office. The designer was fine. She showed up and did everything she was supposed to, though she was here for three or four hours, which was a little long. I was supposed to have my job rushed. I was told it would be rushed and someone will call me back to confirm it. No one ever called me back. I realized I hadn’t heard back from anyone so I called once it got closer to the deadline. Nobody had any information of what we’re supposed to do. So they had to set a new date which was a week past the date that I needed the project done by.
When they finally came out, they were setting the piece up and the main point I needed it for was the Murphy bed. It ended up that the pieces were cut incorrectly so they couldn’t install the bed. I had to wait another two weeks for them to come back to finish it. I was not happy and they didn’t offer me any solutions. They just said that’s the way it is. Then they came back and it ended up that the molding on top of one of the pieces also wasn’t cut correctly. So I had to wait another two or three weeks for them to come and finish the entire project. It was supposed to be a three-day install to begin with. They did it all in a one-day install instead for me and was a couple of weeks after the date I needed. It ended up taking them three different trips to finish it either way because they did not do the job correctly. No one also called me back. It was an $18,000 job and they didn’t offer me any type of refund.
The installer was really nice, though, and did what he needed to do. It wasn't his fault. I like the products but with regard to the customer service and the people who actually scheduled the project and cut the pieces in general, they were completely subpar. I was planning on doing my kitchen, closet, loft, living room, laundry room, master bedroom and kid’s room. Now all of that will be going to someone else.

I got a 40% off Closet World coupon in the mail and I just went with it and had a new office system put in. There was a bit of a bump in the road with the designer. He came and drew the pictures for me. We seemed to be a little bit out of sync as far as what I thought I wanted and what he thought I could have. But I went with it cause I assumed that he was the expert. But he was not extremely knowledgeable. He was trying to give me closet things instead of office things that worked better. He didn't offer all of the choices like what the handles will look like either. And then he quit.
A new person came and re-drew the pictures cause she didn't understand his pictures. She knew the directions I was going. So, ultimately, I'm happy. She was really helpful. The installation went great. The crew worked quietly. I work from home, so they were in and out all day while I just worked from my dining room that week. A couple of things that weren't done exactly the way it should have been or they missed it, and they came back and fixed them all. We did have to reschedule a couple of times because I had meetings that came up. So, it was more my schedule that was a problem than theirs. I absolutely love my office. It's so much more efficient and comfortable than it ever was. I'm happy to be here all day, every day, because this is where I live, in my office.

I called three companies. California Closet said they can't come out to do an assessment until about a month and they were about eight weeks from constructing anything. So, I had Closet World and another company come and give me an estimate. I liked the designer for Closet World, who was nice and a good guy, and their products were more customized according to what I wanted. I had them build custom bookshelves and desks for my home office. The designer had to come out a couple of times, which was annoying. It would've been nice to just do it all at once, but I had a lot of customization, so it took a little while to get the job done.
The installation is the part that I was not happy about at all. When the design was made, the installation crew came and they were on time on the first day. I had a custom desktop cut, but it was cut wrong and wasn't the right size. It wasn't going up to the ceiling like it was supposed to. Everything was completely wrong from the design that the designer drew up to what the installers were going to do. So, they did nothing the first day and I had to plan and have them rescheduled for another day, which was difficult because I had to take a whole day off work to be there.
On the second day, the installers were supposed to be at my house at around 1 PM, but it wasn't until about 1:30 PM that I got a phone call from them that they were running late. At about 3:30 PM, I had to call them to find out what was going on and why they weren't there yet. By 5 PM, nobody from the installation team had contacted me, so I called them again, and they said that the traffic was bad, which is a baloney excuse because everyone knows that traffic’s bad in Los Angeles. Obviously, they had other prior jobs and had run late, so they were lying and that annoyed me.
Finally, the guys got there at 5:30 PM and they were talking about hammering into walls, drilling sockets out on the patio, and making a lot of noise, and I live in a condominium. When the guys showed up, they said, "We're so tired. We were at another job. We probably won't be able to do much tonight," and they just wanted to leave. I said, "Well, no. You're here now. I've been waiting all day. Let's try to do something.” So, they started the process. They got some of the desktop installed, but there was a big crack in it, and this might have been because they were rushing. So, I had to call the supervisor and say, "They have to come back another day to finish the work because they can't finish it all tonight." So, we had to schedule a third day for the installation.
On the third day, the installation went great and the installers did a good job. They came in the morning. I made sure that I was the first appointment of the day, and not the second one, so that they didn't show up late again. They brought a new desktop without a crack in it. One of the guys that did the installation was super nice. But I got the impression that the installation people are overworked and have too much to do, and so Closet World needs to plan and schedule better. The first time the installation crew came, they had two guys. The second time, one of the two guys from the previous day came, but a different person came instead of the other one. Then, the third time, the same two guys came that worked on the second day.
The installation, once it was all done, looked really nice. Closet World didn't use the most expensive materials, but I knew that’s what I was buying because I paid less for parts. The quote that I got from them was half of the quote from the other company, so they’re not going to give me the top-of-the-line material. Nevertheless, I was happy that I got a good quality product for the price that I paid.
I would definitely recommend Closet World to friends. If I had friends that wanted to have some work done, I would tell them, “If you want to do it at a good price, then go with Closet World. If you're looking for a company that’s a little bit more professional, organized, and higher quality, you can go with another company like California Closet, but you're gonna pay three times more.” But they should make sure to schedule the installation because I’ve read on websites that the number one complaint about the company that people posted was that the Closet World guys didn’t show up on time, weren’t there when they were supposed to, then rushed through the job and didn’t get it right.

We had Closet World come out a couple of years ago and we had a little bit of a problem. We made a deposit with a lady but we weren’t ready to have it installed. And by the time we called them back, they said they never got our check from her and that they couldn’t honor it anymore. So, they sent someone else out. We really liked working with Patty. She didn’t quite give us the same price that we had a couple of years ago but she got us a pretty good one so, we decided to go ahead and stay with them. But usually, when they come out, they start at a pretty ridiculous price then, by the time you work with them and get to a serious level, they have to call and get permission to lower the price. It would be nice if people would just give a good price to start with but it never seems to work that way.
We loved our designer. She worked with us very well and she did a great job. However, the installers originally came out without all of the right materials because they had not clearly read something the designer had in the instructions. Originally, we did not order a backing. But in the revised drawing, we changed our minds and put it in. The installers only read the designer’s instruction like there was backing in one little section rather than the whole closet. They said that they didn’t understand it that way on the form, but they should have called the designer and understand what it was she was saying before they came out. We said it was not the way it was supposed to be so, they had to come back out because of the way the shelf went in as one section.
We were also a little disappointed because, on one side of the closet, the drawing that we had and the measurements that our person had taken didn’t quite turn out to be as wide as we hoped it would be. I also had to ask the installer to adjust the drawers a little bit because they didn't slide open very smoothly when he first put them in. But he took care of it and installed the knobs for us.
I was watching the installation and I'm picky so, there were things that I wasn’t super happy with. Like when they put the nails in and didn’t cover up the holes to make it look nice and finished like a custom closet would. I know things are never square and straight, so sometimes they have to jiggle and maneuver things. Also, I had four drawers installed in a section, and when it got down to the bottom, the side mouldings didn’t go all the way down to the baseboard. So, to me, it looked a little tacky and I didn’t particularly love the way he finished it off. I also don’t think he did a really good job of cleaning up and wiping all the shelves, and things were dirty. I'm a clean freak and you have to have an acetate or some kind of special cleaner to get the dirt off of those doors.
Their finishing work was not perfect. But it’s a closet and so I didn’t get picky about it. And although I didn’t particularly love the way the installer finished the closet off at the bottom, he did a good job and was very nice. There were a couple of things I had to ask him about and he helped us understand. Also, my husband really loved the pullout hamper they put in. Also, the baskets that we ordered all glide nicely. All in all, we are happy.

The process with Closet World was relatively painless. I had a designer come in, she did the sketches, scheduled the installation date and paid it. However, the installation wasn't what I had expected and it didn't work perfectly. The installation started late and had to call them to make sure that the installers were coming. Then the installation went on considerably longer than we had anticipated because they didn't have all the information about the garage. Then they were finished, there were places that weren't leveled, there were gaps and one of our doors didn't open when the garage door was open.
I contacted the designer and talked to the head of the installation department. They sent another team out a few weeks later to solve that problem. Again, the solution wasn't perfect. The doors work but that installation crew left a bunch of screws on the floor of our garage where we park a car. They didn't vacuum up the cabinets. I contacted the repair service and they told me that I had to pay about $60 before they even make an appointment. I asked if they can tell me what date they can do it, and they said that they can’t do anything until I pay them the $60 service fee. So, I said, "How am I to know that you're going to do it tomorrow or three months from now?" And he said that that's their policy, and that I can't get any repair service or an appointment set up until I pay the service fee. So, I said, "Forget it."
I contacted corporate offices and gave them the information about my contact. Someone at corporate contacted me the next day and asked me to explain the experience. I told him and he said, "Well, that is our policy, but since you're a repeat customer and you need a repair, you don't have to pay the service fee until after the repair is done." I said, "Okay", and he gave me a date. However, the service guy showed up less than an hour later than the allotted time without calling to say that he was running a little late. When he got here, he had another guy with him. I took them to the closet and they assessed the problem rapidly and said it was a simple repair. There were no negative vibes while they were doing it. We also went with one of her suggestions. The installation team were on time. There was only one bad experience with one of their installers. When he showed up I heard some banging and so I went over there to go see what he was doing, and he was kicking the side of the closet. I told him, "Don't kick that because you might break it." The charge I've sent through was for $1,822. They reversed the $1,822 charge and sent it through for $1,886 without any reason for the difference.
The bill put a bad taste in my mouth even though it's only $50 or $60 because you shouldn’t be able to do that and that means someone could it and do a larger amount. That was very unethical especially without even a courtesy call for me to okay it and assume that I'm going to okay it and do it. In both times I had them out there, they did installations that had to be fixed because it wasn't done to specs. Last time, they installed it too far over to where they had to cut notches out of the closet in order to accommodate the garage door because they didn't measure correctly. The installer was great as well but the manufacturer still ship the parts although there's a visible damage and then they just let the customer complain about it. I had to have them come back two times to replace items that weren't perfect.
The way they do business is quite unusual. They started with a low price and then went up high. Then they started up high and then got on. I have no idea what the true value of the product is because I have to negotiate it. I'm almost done negotiating but I was told that's how they do business. It felt weird, but I assume I got a fair and reasonable price. Overall, the experience was great. I would still recommend them. I'm happy with the product, and they have great service.

Closet World recently installed a bedroom closet for me. My family and I have been previous customers. The designer was good. Some of the paperwork may have been a little mixed up when it came to installation, but everything was fine during the design part. During the installation, that’s where the fun gets. Before they even got at my house, they called me and asked, “Are we coming to Lancaster or Whittier?” Apparently, my information on the application was not my address. They didn’t put it together. They called me and then they were supposed to be there between 9:00 and 11:00. They didn’t get there until like 12:30.
He got there and thought he was installing two closets, which only turned out to be one, but there were two designs because we redid the first design. But they had both designs as both being installed. Then he installed the closet and after he worked, he was in a hurry to get to his next job because he was late already coming to mine. He didn’t do a walk through with me. I just signed the papers and he was out the door.
I did the walk through and noticed a lot of gaps between the wall and the actual closet that they were supposed to caulk. The shelf and drawers were uneven. He also forgot to put the belt and tie rack. So, I called the installation number and so they connected me with the manager. He was very nice and very apologetic. I sent him the pictures I took to his email address. He said, “Okay. All they need to do is put some caulking in there and we'll bring out the stuff.” He couldn’t get anybody out until a week later, which I wasn’t happy about because all my clothes are on my bed.
Then he came that day and they didn’t have the tie rack and the belt rack. One of the shelves was too long so they had to re-measure it and said he would have somebody out the next day. On the third day, they came and he put in the belt rack which was supposed to be a belt and tie rack but at that point, I didn't dispute it because they're done. They re-measured the shelf and put another shelf in, did the caulking and adjusted stuff so it's done. They did due diligence and fixed it. He rushed through it. They put in a ballet rack and left the old shelf. The experience and spending that much money wasn't good balance out to me at this point, but overall, it's not all bad.

I had a closet installed through Closet World in the master bedroom, and the designer was wonderful and very personable. I knew exactly what I wanted, she designed it, and she was like, "This is the easiest one I've ever done." The installation guy's machine broke. He had to come back the next day, then he finished it. But he was really good. Although his baseboard returning skill wasn't very good, I have no complaints. Closet World is a little pricey but that's okay.

Closet World was the first closet company I checked and I liked what they were offering. I had them install a Master bedroom closet. I wanted to get another tie/belt rack put in the closet. I found out the tie rack was only $87 but they want to charge $100 just to come out and deliver it. I wasn't very happy about that because I gave a raving review and they can't just ship me one to put and install. So that's my main complaint. If you use them, you need to make sure you've ordered everything you want. You don't want anything extra because they're going to charge you more than what the products cost just to come out and put it in. If you spend $500, they'll come put it in for free but anything under $500, they'll charge you $100, which is crazy. But other than that, both the designer and the installer were fine and installation was on time. Everything else was fine other than the end result as far as wanting to add something.

Closet World did our regular closet but they're not done. The dimensions were wrong and they had to come back and redo it. It’s the same with the garage cabinets plus they didn’t put a door in and then the guy put Pledge all over it. It's streaky and awful because it's fake wood. I gave them something to clean up with but they never did and left. I'm not very happy, but I'm not sure what to do. On the other hand, the designer was fabulous and sweet. Pam worked with me with the concepts and it was great. She was communicative even the first time when the dimensions were wrong. She rectified the situation.

I had a Milena with drawers installed for the middle section of our pantry from Closet World. The designer was helpful, and told us what we were gonna get, but what we actually got was a little bit different. The first time they came out, the designer measured everything correctly, but whoever did the calculations, they were three inches off. And by the time they added all the panels, it was too big. They were gonna install it and cut it down to make it fit, and they were gonna add all these fascias but I told them, “No. I want it with the paper.” I was even arguing with the supervisor. It was the worst experience I ever had. In fact, I asked for my money back, and they told me they couldn’t return my money for my down payment because once I signed that contract, I had three days to get it back. But they scheduled me three weeks out and it was too far away from saying I can have my money back.
Before they even installed it, I called the 1-800 number and talked to the supervisors. I went back to Closet World to call the number, and it was the same people answering. They kept telling me I couldn’t get my money from before it was even installed. They promise you something and you don’t get it. And you can't even get your money back no matter how much you try. They should change their contract in a certain way. If you don’t get what you were promised, you should be able to get your money back. Also, they had to come back twice after the initial installation because it wasn't done correctly. So I'm very dissatisfied.

We had Closet World install closet organizers on two different closets. Their designer was fantastic. Our meeting and planning went well. Unfortunately, the installers hadn't finished building the closet when I called to verify on the installation. They were supposed to install for us on a Friday. I was expecting a phone call the day before to schedule everything because most places call to confirm, but I hadn't heard anything. So I called to make sure that everything was on track but they didn’t have us until the next Friday afterwards. Then I've taken vacation for that day to be there for them and there was nothing for it. They had to come out on a Saturday in order to do the install. They did the work a couple hours, and it was done well. Everything was as ordered.

I called Closet World and they made an appointment to come out. We had a couple of appointments, and they finally got down to a reasonable price. Their price was based on their quality of work. It seemed like it was going to be okay and it did turn out okay. So, I'm glad I chose them. I had garage closets put in. One set was swinging doors and the other three sets were sliding doors which worked out real nice and I'm pleased with it. I'm using it for storage, organizing, and throwing away stuff.
Installation worked out good. They gave me the timelines I'd pay for them. I still have 68 months before I get everything with it and that worked out fine. However, there was a mix up on the type of closet. The first half was correct and the second half was incorrect. So, they took them back and they called me back and set up another appointment date. And they were there on time and they completed the job. All their personnel did a tremendous job. They cleaned up and handled the product nicely. It was an excellent job and I would recommend them anytime.

I was disappointed with Closet World. I selected them because the lady that came here said that she can replace two doors in the closets installed out there in my garage. My car has bumped them and broke them. The lady also called up and claimed that they can replace the doors. But when the installers came, they said they couldn’t replace them. The installers were great but I was dismayed that they couldn’t do it. I really want those doors replaced. They said they didn’t manufacture the doors, but I was told before that they did. Closet World was the only brand that we recognize, so we decided to see how much it was going to be. They put together a quote for us and we weren’t opposed to it, so we didn’t look elsewhere and went with it. We had a couple of variations of the quote, but we did not go with the cheaper. Thicker wood will look better so we decided to spend a little bit more. Although if the cheaper one was one that we felt looked better, we would have gone with that. We had them install drawers, hanging areas, shoe areas and the laundry basket hideaway. The designer was great. She was hilarious, very affable, and gave me the sense that she was trying to understand what we needed in the space provided. She gave us a lot of options and thoughts and I’m interested in her opinion because I’ve never done this. So, I told her that I needed her to tell us what we should do and we’d figure out what the pricing’s going to be. And she did all that.
They sent a couple of guys to do the installation and they were great. You could tell one of them was the main guy and one of them was the runner, and they’re great. Everything was good. There wasn’t any weirdness. No issues and no broken stuff. It took them a full day to install everything. At first, I was wondering why they showed up at 10:00 but it made sense. Their first stop was to get everything ticked and put in their truck all the materials. It was good and I’d definitely recommend them. Not everybody’s going to go out and spend that kind of money on a closet, but if they decide to do it, Closet World would be my recommendation.

They came out one time, gave me a whole house price which was way too much money and that was one designer. Then they sent out another designer later on and we did one closet and that was okay. The interaction with the woman was alright and she seemed knowledgeable. However, the product was not as nice as what I was hoping it would be. It looked cheap to me like it was something from Ikea. I talked to them about it and they were shocked that I had that attitude towards it. For a closet that costs $4,000, I thought they'd give me a nicer product.

We used Closet World before in a house we bought about 10 years ago and they did a good job on that particular property, so we called them again recently to do two bookshelves and a closet in a spare bedroom. We had a couple estimates and theirs was a little higher than the other companies but they promised at the time that when they come and put it in, it would be about two hours and it would be over. The others companies were requiring a day or two.
Their designer is very nice. I told them that I wanted two bookshelves that were 72 inches wide or long and 42 inches tall. Everybody agreed that that was fine and it had to fit in a specific area. We had a whole TV set up and it had to fit into an end part. I'm a builder myself so I have some knowledge of how this stuff works. When they brought them, each bookshelf was about 2 and 3/8th inches too long so obviously, they did not fit. The guy that built or cut them said that the dimensions were always I.D. and I disagreed badly with him. Dimensions are always O.D. when it's got to fit within a confined space but he denied that that was the case.
Also, the installer had a finger he had cut off at another job and it was bleeding all over the materials. But he was a nice guy and he worked hard and that was not his fault. He ended up leaving the job that day and was called off the job to go to another space because they had mis-scheduled something. He came back the next day and scheduled a time to come in the morning and it was gonna take two hours. But he came back in about 5:00 in the afternoon and worked until 9:30 or 10:00 that night. He was trying to get them to fit when they were too big but he finally got them in. He cut the shelves here on our agreed dimension, put them back together and then installed them.
They're in there now and installed but they're not what we ordered because we had ordered them to be balanced. They're not because there are roughly two inches off of the inside of each cabinet, which puts the center brace not in the center anymore. The installer did a good job of cutting them back. The problem is instead of two hours, it took them six or eight and it was all after 6:00 in the evening. There wasn't anything they did that was right. I think that that's unnecessary and that was an infringement upon us. We paid top dollar and I didn't ask them for anything off.
We were not happy and the saleslady did not offer anything back. We'd already paid the guy. When he left, he was expected to bring back a check. What I probably should have done is just told him to go and I would deal with Closet World at that point. But he didn't do anything wrong so I went ahead and did it. We gave them a check that evening and we'll probably never use them again. We live up here in an age-restricted community. A lot of people are downsizing, moving into other houses up here and we have a lot of friends that put in stuff. If they want my business or my recommendations, they need to call me and make some kind of adjustment.

I got three other estimates and Closet World’s pricing was ultimately what made us go with them. Their designer was lovely and pleasant to negotiate with. She came to the house and she did the estimate right onsite. I had them installed a master closet system, so doors, shelf, and double hang for a walk-in closet. The delivery of the final product kind of exceeded our expectations. So even though we got a really good price, I don’t feel like the price is reflective of the quality. I think the quality exceeded that. My only disappointment was it looks like the old system that was in the closet was removed a little bit in haste. It also seemed that there were gouges and that stuff was just screwed in the wall. So I was really surprised by that. Still, I had a good experience with Closet World and I would recommend them. Material wise and workmanship, it was just average. When the closets arrived, they're brand new but they're chipped everywhere and it's got glue that has dried everywhere too. They also got all those glue marks outside the drawer that I had to wipe it down with Goo Gone. From the two price quotes I had, I took the cheaper one. I guess I get what I paid for. I spent close to $15,000 and I think the quality should be better, at least not chipped.

It was so difficult with wide open shelf without knowing there are wires without putting a backing. So I had to get them back. I had to argue with the manager, and I had to pay more money. I didn't like that.
I would have liked the designer to point that out or give me an option to say, "Do you realize all those wires are going to be showing when the shelves are put up?" It would've been nice to tell me instead of me seeing it all and saying to the guys, "Wait! This is unacceptable. This is how it is. If this is what you're delivering, take it back. I don't want it." To us, the job is not complete until they replace the bad drawer but they went ahead and charged our credit card and I asked them why they did that. The installers were very nice and told us that we are not gonna get charged until we replace the drawer. We also haven’t signed that the job was complete and satisfactory. Then when the guys said that they already charged my credit card, I got very upset. I told them that I should call Visa and tell that the job is not complete. So you have to get your money and we have to go after you for any problems.” That was not the deal and that was not the contract. But subsequently, I got phone calls from his boss who apologized about everything.
Even when they came to deliver the drawer, they gave us two different time frame and they kept changing the time frame. At the same time, my wife was staying home to accommodate the time that they gave us and they changed it twice that day so she ended up staying home six hours for the 10-minute delivery. And then he put a divot in my ceiling carrying the stuff and it was not very pretty.
I reached out to customer service and they reimbursed me for the divot and I moved on from there. But the designer was fine that’s why I asked for her again the third time I needed a closet. If you cannot meet the expectation of that Wednesday, can you do the job on Friday?" They said, "No, because we already have other jobs scheduled." But they have mine scheduled, too. She came 15 minutes early and I had told her to wait because I have to take my daughter's friend home after their playdate. She was very upset and instead of waiting and having it work out for everybody, she left. It was really rough.
Then, there were some changes that needed to be made. My husband noticed something about the measuring so there needed to be a change order. She came and told us she's getting in trouble because of all the change orders. She also said we're making her uncomfortable about it but it wasn't our fault. They were because her measuring was inaccurate. Also, we've never done Closet World so we had a couple of change orders naturally because it was hard to look at the blueprint and understand what was happening.
She was not pleasant at all. I think she tried her best and her knowledge was good but she seemed really rough and not good with people. But it wasn't horrible. I got an estimate from Closet World for a closet that was installed in our bedroom. My first interaction with the designer went well when she came in to give us the design. I like the color, which she got right, and most of the material. On the second one, it wasn’t as good because we had complaints about how the closet was installed. We had to contact her to have her explain as to why she designed it the way that she did when we had specifically told her how we wanted it. Also, I didn’t care for the installation guy since he seemed like he didn’t want to work. The first time he came, we had issues with how everything was gonna be installed, and he broke it down to us, which seemed like he was on our side, but seemed like he didn’t want to work and he didn’t work that day.
The general manager was cool but couldn’t work a deal with us if we redid the whole closet. We would have had to purchase the whole thing over again because everything had already been custom-made, and they weren’t giving us the leeway. Two weeks after the tech first came, he was back and he was gonna install it but it was raining really hard and again, it seemed he really didn’t want to come in. I said that I’ve been waiting for the appointment for three weeks and that my next appointment would be another three weeks and I don’t want to wait because my clothes are in boxes. The third time he came back was probably the most pleasant because all he had to do was change the jewelry box. I needed that pretty quick and he left. I just wish when they came out to do the measurements, they would have been a bit more thorough on taking the height of the desk. Ideally it's one or two inches shorter. I was going to have it lowered and they were willing to come out and lower the desk but I was a little bit concerned about pulling the desk apart and afterwards have issues. She also asked questions about things that I want and I added more things. She did it so quickly and you could tell she was really experienced.
Then, the installation team was awesome. The foreman called for an appointment and I took a date but realized that I will be having back surgery then so they worked with me. He called me back to tell me about an earlier opening they had and that if my husband is available to clear things up, he'll send me the best team, make the change and that there's no fee. I was gonna see to my concrete for about 3 inches which they told me when they came out to put it in. I didn't know I would have to go back and re-measure her measurements. That's what having a designer is for and then they were gonna charge me more.
The manager I talked to was not very professional at first and he was not very helpful. He put me through it for 45 minutes but it's all fine and it worked out. Also, the installer was great and he fixed everything for me. All in all, I'm happy with it. I got my linen closet replaced a second time and it's fine. I would recommend them to a friend because I'm happy with the outcome.

My mother-in-law has used Closet World when they bought a house about a year and a half before we did. They used Closet World to redo their master and they had a great experience. When we bought our house, my husband and I didn’t have the budget to do all of our closets, but we needed to do something with the master. It was completely destroyed when we moved in and we had to start over. Just about the end of the year, Closet World called and had a Christmas or end of the year special. We had a consultant out to quote our garage.
The Closet World designer was fantastic. She was the same woman that we used for our master. She also did my brother and sister-in-law’s and my mother and father-in-law’s. She knew we were not on a huge budget. She had a lot of ideas that she said we could do in the future if we didn’t want to do them a the moment, but she wanted to get us what we wanted right now. She said some things we can do down the line and it was fun to dream about that and to be able to stay within our budget.
The installation crew was on time and they took care of everything. On both times that we've had Closet World install, we've had it at set dates for when they were going to send the team out. We got a call one day that there was a cancellation close by our neighborhood and they said, “Would you like them to come this morning?” I said, “Yes, the sooner the better.” It was great getting it a little earlier than we were originally going to get it installed. Since I didn’t know that they were coming and my husband was gone that day, some heavy stuff wasn’t moved yet. They took care of them, and also cleaned up after themselves. They did it fairly quickly too.
They're clearly pros and they knew what they were doing. All I had to do was get them set up in the garage. Our garage floor is not nice at all. It's defective, and they had a tarpaulin out and had smaller equipment on it. They wiped everything down, so the closets and shelves weren't all dusty when they left. Within five minutes of them leaving, I was starting to stack the cabinet because they were clean and ready to use. I was a little bit excited about that.

I called one other closet company, but they charged a fee to come out and give you an estimate. And Closet World did that part without charge. The designer was very good and responsive to what we asked for. He did not try and push things on us that we didn't want. My first issue was they said they had done many installations in this building before. But the gentleman who came was not familiar with the requirements of this building. This is a building that's got rules like you can't cut on the property. So, I thought everything was coming pre-cut, which it was not. How is he gonna cut when he isn't allowed to do it on the property?
The second issue was there's a lot of materials that had to be brought from his vehicle up to the condo. It was big, heavy, and bulky, and he needed a second person to do it safely. We had some damage to the building. I didn't see him do it but it occurred during the period that he was working on this. All of that could've been avoided if he had a second person to help him move all those big and heavy stuff. It was just more than one individual could do at a time. They installed everything and there were problems with the drawers. And a week later, they came back and fixed the drawers. But the gentleman that came out to work was a good guy. He worked two venues without taking a break in two full days. He was a very hard working guy with good skills and worked diligently.

Dealing with Closet World was a good experience. Everything went fine. I had a closet with shelving installed in my master bedroom. The designer came to the house and took about an hour and she went and measured everything. She was very pleasant. We figured out exactly what I needed and she drew it up. The installation guy was very efficient and he arrived at the house at the prescribed time and knocked the whole thing out in like three hours. It was no mess and did exactly what the design said.
