Closet World has been around for a while and closets are what they do so I thought they probably have the best pricing. And it wasn't too bad for the pricing so I did it with them. We had a whole kitchen pantry redone and then all three bedroom closets. The designer took measurements and told us what it would be. However, it was hard to see with the drawing and I wished they had a computer animated thing to show us. They worked worked out the specs for us though.
The installer was really quick and he cleaned up after himself nicely. The installation went well except for the part where I stayed up all night painting. They didn't paint and that was the only downside. When they ripped out the closet, they didn’t do any kind of patchwork, and we had the open area that we could see. They mentioned that I might have to paint but they could have been more specific about that. I had to patch, wait two hours, patch again and sand. It’s not just a touch-up paint here and there, and it’s a lot of work. But once all was done, they looked beautiful. There’s a lot more space, so I’m happy.
I’d probably end up calling Closet World and ask them to get me pegs and another shelf later on. If I could, I would have the very top shelf come out further and then I would’ve added one more shelf in the closet. I could buy the shelf and the closet but not the top shelf because it’s like a spare box. Once it’s in, it’s in and I can’t redo it. Closet World does excellent work but when they do the design, they have to be more detailed about what the customer is getting and about what work is going to be necessary after they’re finished. If they try to be more transparent about those two things, I would be completely satisfied.

I have used Closet World over the last 10 years. Their rep did a good job and they do custom-made products. Recently, they installed a medicine cabinet. The designer was very professional. The installers were very good as well. They finished the project on time. However, the result came out to be short of the contract. Closet World was supposed to give me eight shelves, but the cabinet turned out with only seven shelves. They tried to fix it, but it cannot be fixed. I told them to forget it and didn't pursue the issue. I was not happy. I talked to a supervisor and I told him that initially, they were supposed to put the metal lock on the shelves and they did not do it. They said they can do it but they have to remove all the charts. I didn’t want that because it would take almost half a day to remove all the 1,000 pounds of chart. So finally, when they came in, they did it without removing the charts.

We got a quote from California Closets and Closet World's was less expensive, so we went with them. Granted their products are different because with California Closets, we’re going to have the full backing side of it and with Closet World, we weren’t. But Closet World have the very bottom shelf which we liked. The time frame for them to get out to install was quite lengthy but I’m happy with the product. We had them install four full closets in the master bedroom and the children’s bedrooms. They only sent one guy out to do the installation. He was here from 10 AM to 8 PM and I was shocked because I didn't think he was going to be here all day. He was nice and great and I felt bad that he was alone. It was a big job and I expected at least two installers. I had to leave to take out my kids from school and had to leave him in my home by himself. My husband commented that maybe it's the reason why Closet World charges cheaper.
Another thing was that we had our closets left bare with no poles or pieces of wood on the walls so they would be nice, fresh and newly painted. When the guy came and installed the closet systems, everything was already painted. He told us that he had to take the baseboard off in all of our closets, which was something I was never told. We then took the baseboards off and it left three inches above the bottom platform where it was not painted because we didn’t paint the walls before the baseboards were placed on it. I was not happy with that. I told the person taking the payment over the phone that it would’ve been nice to know beforehand that the baseboard had to be removed. I had to go back and repainted the bottom area so it wouldn’t look a different color. But other than that, everything’s been good.

My dad looked up Closet World on the magazines and we got three estimates before we decided on them. They had reasonable pricing so we had them install a closet, some drawers and hangers in the master bedroom. The designer was nice and she said that we'd have a cup of tea with her. Then the installer came on time and did everything professionally. It was an awesome experience.

I liked Closet World's salesperson. She was a lovely and cheerful person who offered to give me help. She also gave me a good price so I went with them and had the master bedroom closet done. Their reps came out to measure things then they pre-made and pre-cut everything. So when the installer came, he just put the parts in. He cleaned up after himself and did a very good job. He was in and out within two or three hours but the drawers that he installed were not the right ones. So he had to come back and do them again. He did a good job but the closet really looks bad even though we hang clothes in it and Closet World don't do the painting. So we had to paint it ourselves and it would have been easier if they have taken off the clothes, poles and other stuff in the old closet, have us paint it, then come back to finish installing the rest of the closet because it was a lot harder to paint around the installation.

Closet World has better designers, are more attentive and has better pricing as compared to other closet companies. I had them built a linen closet and a closet organizing system. Installation was excellent and perfect. They were clean and quick. I'd use them again if I have more needs. It was an absolutely painless experience.

I wanted to have work done on my garage, and Closet World was connected to the garage company I called. I had what they call “wallscape” installed. We had somebody come out for two separate things. The one who came out to do the wallscape was fine. She was quick, patient, and helpful. I knew exactly what I wanted so it wasn't going to be complicated and I didn’t even need to be sold on it. But there was a lot of time spent designing what I needed, which I thought wasn't necessary because it was basically three wallscapes that work. It was very easy.
I also asked if they wanted to do my upstairs closet. The designer did measurements, as well as a few other things, and spent quite a bit of time only to find out that they don't add on to a closet. So if I already have a closet there, they won't attach anything to that. If I wanted to put a shoe rack in an existing closet, they won’t do it. It’s frustrating and I scrapped that whole plan and just went with the wallscapes. But other than that, the installation was finished quickly, promptly, and to my satisfaction. It was perfect. And if I needed closets, I would definitely call them.

When we built our new construction home, we picked up Closet World's name through Direct Buy. Their designer was perfect. She came over, looked at each of the closets, wanted input in terms of design, lifestyle and those kind of things. We came up with a plan and they worked very well. After that initial install, we went back as we just did a very generalized design for our son and that we needed to augment that to a certain degree. That's where she came back at least twice or three times because we also had them come back for our garage as well. On the other hand, their install team was very cordial, respectful and were wearing their booties going in and out. They were a great team that was assigned to our location.

I used Closet World for my first house a few years back. For the recent job, they were my go-to and I just went straight to them. They installed linen closets, two linen cabinets, and a master walk-in closet. The designer was excellent. She made herself available and she was able to come up with a great plan. The installers were excellent as well. They came and knew what they were doing, and they were in and out in no time. It was a good experience from start to finish and I'd recommend Closet World.

I had Closet World install a walk-in closet in my master's bedroom. Their designer was very helpful and friendly. The installation went pretty good. I would refer it to my friend.

The gal from Closet World that came over to our house was very friendly. Whatever our needs were, she would bend over backwards to make sure that they’re met. There were no high pressure sales techniques. She was great and she said to call her any time. She actually meant it ‘cause we called her, and as we bounced around other companies, we had a good feeling about her. So, we would go back to her and see if she could take different designs and modify things and still get us the best price. We got garage cabinets and the installation was also great. The installation guys were here all day and knocked it all out. They were awesome. It was an easy and user-friendly experience overall.

I had a pantry put in the hallway by Closet World. The designer was awesome and she was able to help me design exactly what I wanted. The installers left one piece of wood outside but it wasn’t a big deal. However, I made some holes when I took out some other wood in the closet and I wish I would've patched them up before they installed, but that was my fault.

I was shopping around and I came up with some alternative design. I tried out a few other companies but they didn't sit 100% right with me. Then Closet World’s designer came and she figured what was wrong with all the other designs and got the perfect layout. The project was for some built-ins and a couple of closets and she deserves special kudos because all the closets were a bit tricky. But she was fantastic and very brilliant so I want to commend her. Other than that, I hired Closet World because of their price and quality of work.
The installation team was hardworking but the schedule was messed up. Their timing was not reliable and the contractor told me that ahead of time. I was waiting around to go to work but they didn't show up and they were running late. So that's one thing that could be improved upon. They were supposed to come between 11:00 and 12:00 and they didn't show up until 3:00 at least and they stayed late. It was dark or 9:00-9:30 when they left. A week later, they came back and added some small pieces. Overall, Closet World did a great job.

I was told by my realtor that her brother used Closet World and they liked it. I got different estimates since I was also fixing other stuff in the house, but I saw Closet World having a discount pricing going on and my contractor's busy so I went with Closet World. I had them install regular closet with drawers in the master bedroom as my closet and one in the guest bedroom for my husband's clothes. Closet World's designer was pleasant, very helpful and was knowledgeable with all the stuff that they have. I liked her a lot. The guy who installed the units was also nice. However the contractor made a mistake with the measurements when they came the first time so they had to come back a second time.

The design and integrity of each of Closet World cabinet caught my attention. It supports itself, unlike other companies who have two cabinets combined side by side and doesn't have the integrity of one. I had a work bench installed in the garage and the installer was on time, very friendly and professional. He explained how many years he's been installing it and kept me informed on what he was doing. Then he explained the breakdown of what he's got to unpack, how he's doing it, building it there, and installing it on the wall.
I had to sit in the garage and he gave me his word that I was going to be satisfied with the product at the end of everything. But they had the workbench in the wrong location since it's supposed to be towards the wall and towards the house. I told him about that and he had no worries and was not frustrated. He took a look at the blueprints again and it turned out that he was reading it upside-down. They caught onto their error and finished the work bench a little bit after 5 o'clock. They also cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They did a good job on it and I'm using the workbench as much as I can.
I like to show it off when I have guests coming by and if they have any issues with any other estimators that would go to their homes, I tell them to try Closet World to ease their frustration and have the end of whatever issues they may have. Also, if I were to redesign my pantry or a closet by the bedroom, I would go and give Closet World a call again for an estimate and a possible installation.

I’m a recurring customer of Closet World. They did a good job years ago. And I had them install cabinets and shelves in my master bedroom this time. They have a very pleasant and knowledgeable designer. Also, the installer was very nice, clean and did a good job. However, I had an issue with the installation supervisor. He was rude and not accommodating and said that if we wanted something different even though it was originally mismeasured, we would have to pay for it. He had no customer service etiquette at all. My husband and I didn’t like the way we were being dealt with, and I wrote a letter to the upper management so his manager got involved in it and made everything better. It was a long ride, but we’re okay now.

I had Closet World install an entire closet in our home and I was happy with their service. I chose them because of their price and because I like their sales rep. I had a very good experience with him. Their designer worked very diligently as well and he followed up with me several times, so I was very satisfied. We liked him very much too. Their installation team was also excellent. However, Closet World needed to make some changes and the original installation needed additional items swapped out which I wished they hadn’t. But they've been very good at taking care of those things, they called the follow up and we’ve rescheduled that and it wasn’t difficult at all. They made that quite easy to do. It was a big job so I’m not blaming anyone. Overall, I had a very good experience with them.

I’m an organizer and I’ve personally used Closet World before when I had an office cabinet put in a room to make it into a better office. When I saw her place, I told her she needed more cabinet space, so she got Closet World to install a closet that was off the kitchen. The installation was very positive from what she told me. Closet World showed up with decent products for a decent price. They did one entire master closet and the designer was very knowledgeable and thorough. However, it took a little bit longer than we anticipated. The guy was very nice, but I was surprised that they only sent out one guy to do this job. I've used Closet World in the past in a previous home, and I was very happy. They’re extremely good so I went straight to them again to put some stuff into a master walk-in closet. I met with my designer when she came to look at everything and the interaction was positive and very pleasant. But I had a little bit of concern with the installation. There was supposed to be a tie rack and belt rack put on. Then they mismeasured where they were supposed to put them on when they placed those portions of the cabinet so the door won't open all the way because it hits the tie and belt rack. And they're also too close together where they're at because the ties hang down over the belts. I wasn't the one at home and noticed it when I got home and I wasn't happy with it and not quite sure what can they do. Otherwise, everything else was fine. They're effective and I get what I'm asking for.

We've used Closet World many times before and I decided to work with them again because of the pricing specifically and I also like how fast and good they are. The project was for my closet and the stuff in it like drawers and shelves and the consultation with the designer went very good. However, she talked way too much about her life. Plus, one time, my sister basically borrowed a tape measure for five minutes and forgot to return it. Then, the second the designer came to an appointment at my house, she was complaining and moaning about that tape measure. She made such a huge deal out of it and that really annoyed us.
The designer had also measured one of the closets very unprofessionally and she didn't measure it the right way. So the guy who came out had to do a lot of adjustments and took more time there. But he should've been ready to fix that and not complain so much. Instead, he was moaning and complaining and he annoyed the heck out of me. I told him if he didn't want to be here, he should leave right then. I called the designer then the installer got a phone call and after that, he finished fairly quickly. Everything was done right the first time and Closet World is amazing when they're ready to do business with you, but then once they're done, it would be like pulling people to get them back in.
I also did an installation in my commercial place and the guy was complaining left and right and pointing out problems, but now everything is fine. We also had a custom desk built in my office, and the quality of my desk is terrible. It's very flimsy. Closet World used to be really good. It was more expensive, but they were using much better things. Now, they use stuff from China so it's cheap and it does the job for a while but I know it's going to break down a lot faster.
The quality of materials and even Closet World's workmanship sucks now. I've had friends who had used them and had pieces come off, and they've told me, "I don't know why you love them so much." Closet World is a good company, but there are better ones out there. However, they're good overall and I would use them again but when that time comes around, I would know that if I had a little more money, I would just get the better stuff.

The person who came for the design was very good. She walked us through with that, spent a lot of time with us and listed what we wanted. The installer was also good, but once they install the holder, I'm going to talk to them to come and inspect the installed that.

I had a 17-foot reach-in closet from Closet World. Most of it was a hanging closet but there were couple of enclosed areas, plastic glass doors, and large drawers. Closet World has better prices and the salesperson did a good job of showing off what they had to offer. They also gave me confidence that the quality was as good as the top competitor in my area. The designer came out and spent over two hours hand-designing what I wanted based on what I told her. She was great. She took her time with me and went through the catalog. I had a good experience with her.
On the other hand, the installation guys could've done a better job of cleaning up before they left. There was quite a bit of dust still around. The product itself had matte in white and I had to come in and wipe it down and dust it. Also, when the technician was done, I noticed that the closet was crooked. It looked awful. Normally, I let things go like that after since you can live with imperfection. But this was so bad. It made the whole rest of the product look awful. So I called it to his attention and he agreed that it wasn't straight and just said to me my floor isn't leveled.
So I walked away from it and it's been a few minutes away, I came back up and I looked at it again and told him, "I'm sorry. I can't live with this. Can you just shimmy up the ends where the floor dips?" Of course, by then, he had taken all of the equipment back to his truck so he seemed a little annoyed. I felt bad that I didn't tell him to do it right away, but I shouldn't feel bad. He could’ve taken the initiative when he saw that it didn't look good. So he came back and he put a couple of shims up on the one end and that completely fixed the problem. It was something that he should have done originally.
Even with the issue that I just described and since the designer was responsive, I'd still recommend them. Closet World was informative, thorough, and overall responsive to my questions. They also followed up on whether or not I was satisfied with the product. If I have other projects that I couldn't do myself, I would definitely consider using Closet World again.

I compared Closet World with a couple of other people and they seemed legitimate. However, my experience with them was horrible. I had a walk-in closet with two-tiers hanging with shelving on either side installed in July, but the craftsmanship was shoddy. The quality of the wood and the workmanship are the issues. They left one-inch gaps on either side of the wall and the racks fell off and would not go back on, so the bottom rack for our clothing is on the floor right now.
We contacted Closet World and instead of somebody coming out to actually look at the work that was done, they sent a replacement bar in a piece of cardboard with staples and duct tape through the mail. It is three times longer than what it's supposed to be and so all my wife's clothes are still on the floor. Even before that, I've sent them pictures of all the gaps and the shoddy craftsmanship, yet nobody called me or done anything about them. I spent $2,000 on it which I could have done myself instead. I wouldn't recommend Closet World to anyone.

I had Closet Factory do the kids' bedroom eight years ago and I thought I would get a better deal if I had them come in and redo all the closets. But they didn't give me a better deal and they didn't even care that I had them before. They gave me the bid and never followed up. Then I got a marketing piece in the mail from Closet World about half-off prices. However, their prices were initially higher and when they took the half off, it wasn't a good deal. It was the same price as Closet Factory and the half-off offer was just a marketing thing. I get that everybody's got to make a buck so that was okay.
Their rep was attentive and cool. She quoted the project and she was on time. Then she met me later at night, at 7:30, and we walked through the place. She measured it all up and she was awesome. When we finalized it, she met my wife at a local restaurant and we signed it all up. We gave her the check and she followed through with the appointment. She knew what she was doing.
But at the day of installation, the contractor was supposed to come between 1:00 and 3:00, and my wife got over there at 12:30. She waited but no one called, and at 4:00, she called Closet World to ask what happened. The rep said their guy got detained but they didn't have his number. Then the rep said he'll try to get a hold of the contractor and call my wife back before 5:00 because that's when he leaves. 5:00 comes and goes, and my wife calls to tell me she's not waiting anymore. The place was completely gutted and there was no place for her to lay down and watch TV. But we were doing a lot of refurbishing in this townhouse and we had some other contractors there and they were going to be there until 7:00 anyway.
When I got off work, I drove over there and the guy showed up a quarter to 8:00. I asked him why they didn't call us and he said he didn't understand because Closet World had his number and never bothered to call him. He explained what the deal was and I get how stuff happens. But he was awesome and very attentive. He apologized and assured me he would finish it that night. He did a really good job and the place looks good. We got what we ordered but we weren't happy with the install process, but the installer was not a problem. It was the dispatching of the job that didn't get done right. All we needed was a simple phone call and nobody bothered to communicate.

Closet World is a little bit better in price compared to other companies. Everything was nice. But the designer that came was kind of clueless. She came and designed everything and when the installer came, the measurements that she had taken were wrong. It doesn't look right. The spacing was super off so we had to put it off by a month. We had to give three different installation dates.
The installation crew, on the other hand, was great. I felt bad for them because they came with what the designer measured and they didn't have the right stuff. My boss was a little PO'd with that. He came and we had to get a new date and that was a little annoying. But they were nice. There was also a shelf that wasn’t installed and they went back and finished it. Closet World held up fine against the other companies I have used in the past. They installed shelving and hanging rails in the master bedroom and second bedroom. The designer was friendly, provided a lot of options and open to refiguring things so that it met the budget and the needs. The installation was a little different. The first time they came, they said it would take two hours but they were there for four and a half hours. So that was misleading, and I was scheduling the day around that. Plus, there were gaps where the wall and the closet met, and at the bottom part. It wasn’t secured down so I had to call and get someone to come back out. The first team that came out was an independent contractor and had their own van. The second group came in a Closet World van and was a lot more knowledgeable and they got it done. And the other companies weren’t offering the kind of sale they were offering at that time, and their appointments were too far in advance. The designer was nice and asked a lot of questions. She wanted to know what my needs were and figured it out very well. I got some shelving for my shoes installed. I have my shoes in some plastic bin before, and she measured that out so I could fit all my shoes. We also had some drawers installed. Closet World had more commercials and advertisements. It seemed like it was a better idea for me to go with them since I have a couple of friends who had personal experience with them. They seemed such a big company too. I had four long hanging, four short hanging, and some 12-inch shelves installed in my personal closet.
The designer was really friendly. She knew a lot about the project. She explained to us how she was going to do the design and showed a drawing of the design. At the time, they were offering some type of a discount. She told us about that and then gave us an additional discount. For me, it was still somewhat expensive, but I really needed my closet done. Two young men came. One stayed outside to cut the shelves. They carried the shelf, the poles, and everything into the house. They were very pleasant. They showed the drawing of the design and explained layman’s terms what they were doing. Everything went smoothly.
The only complaint I have is the price. The job seemed really simple, so to pay $1,600 for that was quite a bit much. A contractor I know was willing to do it for $800. I just was concerned about whether he was going to be able to do a professional job and do it the way I wanted it done. He's a very good contractor. I just wanted to go with the more well-known company that had a warranty.

I saw some of Closet World’s pictures from the magazines and they looked nice, so I got curious and wanted to try. I asked their designer to have three closets for my husband and I and for my two kids. I also asked for a pantry and a vanity chair with the shelves. Things went well with the designer, plus the installation team was good. Closet World even called me to ask how it was and if they met what I expected. I love the closets especially my vanity closet. It was an awesome experience overall.

We decided to go with Closet World for their price. We had shelves, closets, drawers and a room for hanging stuff the first time. However, my problem started when Closet World sent our first sales person back for the second estimate of another closet. We really had a bad time. She automatically assumed that we were going to do the installation with them. She came in, sat down and asked us how we were going to pay. I said we haven’t decided yet if we’re even going to do the second closet installation. She said “Why not? You had me before and you trusted me.” I told her that’s not the way my husband and I make decisions. She kept arguing and I said, “Look. Let’s just figure it out and let me know.” She gave me the estimate and said that if I didn’t take it now, I wouldn’t get the discount.
They had called me and said that as a previous customer, any other work that I need, I get 50% off. Also, Randy within Promotions said that as long as the estimate was given by Monday or Tuesday, and she came on Monday, the price would be good for 30 days. She still didn’t understand that we have to watch our money and since we have the price, we’ll call her back if we’re interested. She started arguing with me and said that it’s going to cost me more if she comes back. So, I ended up having to kick her out of my house. This lady started out by wanting a hug the very first time we met her before she walked in the door.
I told Closet World what had happened and they sent another person out who had no idea I already had an estimate for the second closet. She was fabulous. She’s good without being personal, knew her business and her price was even lower than the other. She said she was going to call in to see what they can do because she knew we needed the price to be as low as possible. Her manager got on the phone right away and they knew who I was and gave a bit more off on the price. The people who came in to install were above board. They were friendly, cleaned everything up and asked us if we had any questions and showed us how to change the levels of the shelving. In fact, I requested the same crew to come out on the 14th of September to put in the second closet. Other than that one sales person that we had a problem with, everybody else was very helpful, professional and accommodating. They were so great and I would recommend them.

This is the second time we've done business with Closet World. They did a closet remodel for us and the design process went smooth. My wife and I were told to put our deposit down and that we have three days to make a decision before the money would be in. But the day we wrote the check was the day they deposited it, although we didn't know until my wife checked the account. We called the guy and he told us that that wasn’t supposed to happen. I also wish there was somewhere I could hook or hang my belts in the closet, but we're happy with what they did for us and we'd recommend Closet World to someone.

Closet World's affordability and the quick response time led us to choosing them. California Closets had a five-week waiting time just for them to continue a quote for the estimate. The product I had installed was just the basic, cheapest, closet. It has three sections for clothing, one area that has the built in camper in about four doors and some shelving for shoes.
Closet World's designer told me all these great things, that it was going to be installed very easy. Also, the salesperson tend to just tell you exactly what you want to hear so that you will go ahead and sign up. When Closet World first came to install, not everything is cut to measure and they had to come multiple times because they had to re-measure. I had to reserve the elevator for a specific time so that they can get the materials in. I kept calling and they kept giving me a runaround of what time they were actually gonna get there.
The installers did an okay job and tried to get what was done in the amount of time that they had. However, I was not really satisfied with coordination with their scheduling office. The day that they were supposed to come and set up, they were four hours late. I know it’s a very large company and their administration office were the people that schedule but everyone was out of the loop. They said that they took a very long time because they did a job prior to mine which was also a large complex. I don’t feel that they really tried to make it up for me or ensure me that they were gonna work things out and I wouldn’t recommend Closet World to anybody else.

We asked Closet World to come in and we liked the salesperson that we talked to so we ended up going with them. We had a wall-to-wall closet installed. The quality of it seems fine, seems solid enough, and it was installed properly. But we had a bunch of problems with the purchase and my wife and I are not really happy with Closet World.
When the people came to do the installation, the pieces that they brought with them were dirty and looked used. My wife asked them to bring in new pieces or fix them. She said that it was very difficult to get them to kind of work with her on that. They finally rough painted it. Also in the installation, they didn't finish the design. We had a section at the very top of the closet which was supposed to be a small separate section and when they built that, they said they didn’t have the materials. They'd have to go back or charge extra so we never got that built. My wife said she called Closet World 10 times to get them to build the top section as the designer had drawn it up and she just had a hard time getting a hold of someone.
Another issue we had was with the designer. We had signed up for a credit account where we could make a monthly payment for the installation and they ended up charging the whole thing to the credit card that I used for the deposit instead of using it on a new card. We had to dispute that charge and try to have it charged on the new card. So we're not very happy with the issues we had but whatever they built was good enough and solid enough. However, we're never going to go with Closet World again.

Closet World is an inexpensive place to get good closets. I looked at a few companies too, but Closet World’s price seemed that it was going to be pretty good. They were the first ones to come on site. The design process worked fine for me because it oriented around getting a design done, so Closet World had something they can price out. However, they need to be ready for more custom questions about the design process. The designer came and worked up a drawing, which was okay. But I had my own ideas about what features I wanted and she was certainly supportive, although not exactly an expert with all my questions. After she left, I did my design. She said that she would come back, and then draw it up in a form that was for Closet World. She did that and everything was fine at that point. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted.
Closet World installed a master bedroom reach-in closet and a guest bedroom reach-in closet. The installers came on time and they were good. They worked in my condo and they had to deal with a security gate. The foreman was helpful too. We made some changes on the widths and other things on site and he was able to do those just fine. He also addressed any questions that we had. The installation team completed the work within the time frame they expected. After that, somebody called to confirm if everything was fine.

We just bought a home and we looked at getting some garage closets made. There was a wall that didn't have complete closets and I wanted them finished out. I know of people that have used Closet World and Closets by Design in the past and Closet World had built out the original cabinets too. I called them and what I thought was a 15 or 20-minute consultation appointment so that I would have an idea turned out to be a consult and sell. I was not prepared to spend three and a half hours with the designer and I was a little surprised at how long that took but she wanted to be precise and get all the measurements down. It was a take it or leave it deal. It didn't work out that day in terms of my timing and I had to give up a bunch of other things on unceremoniously. But since it was originally a Closet World product, I was very motivated to get it done because then it would match.
The designer did a great job and the appointment with her was very intense but the entire information was not transferred to the installation team. The installers didn't have all the data with them when they came so they started a part and then had to come back and finish it. Still, they were good and were able to match the closets in style so that was awesome. Now all the closets are very seamless. Closet World did a fine job but they should allow a customer the time to at least think about the purchase. I'll call them again if I ever have a need. It worked perfectly well for me and I will recommend Closet World to my friends.

I got a coupon in the mail from Closet World. It's the first one that I had and they were having a half price off. I also know other people that have had them, so I contacted them and got my closets done in the master bedroom. The designer was lovely and very nice, except we didn't have a lot of communication and I didn't ask the right questions as to the finished product. Then the installer guy came and put it in. The only thing is, after it was installed, I did not realize that when they removed the other things that were in the closet, it needed to be painted. The holes also needed to be filled and painted. And I was led to believe that it was going to be completely done. I had to hire somebody to do that.
I called the designer and stopped the payment on the second check because I was very upset. She came over to the house and we discussed it. She said that she made it very clear, but I did not understand the words that she used and should have asked her what those were. And it was the things that they took out and if there was going be marks left. It should have been explained more to me. It's okay if that salesperson knows what they are talking about, but I didn't know what she was talking. But we got it all straightened out and I canceled my credit card. We've had two appointments set up. We were considering California Closets but Closet World happened to come first. And their saleswoman was very persuasive so we thought, “Okay. Well, let's just go ahead and do it.” And then she was like, “If you order today, we can save you money and this and this and this.” And so, we said, “Okay.” After she left, we're looking at the closet and we're thinking that that didn’t make sense. I was not sure how she's going to be able to accomplish that. So, we called her back and we explained to her our concerns. That took about a half hour to figure out and we thought maybe she understood. Maybe she didn’t understand.
Then when their people came out, there were mistakes made. The installer could only do certain things so, every hanger we have doesn't fit. We have to buy new hangers because the width doesn’t even accept a standard Velvet hanger. It's just poorly designed. Had we known better, we would have gotten a second opinion and a second quote. But we were anxious and she was pleasant, but she was not qualified.
On the second closet, I do need to call them and tell them to come out and look at it and see if they can design it better. It just was not a good experience. I was in London because my child who lives there was sick and my husband didn’t understand how to communicate with them. Whenever my husband tries to talk to Closet World, he's being told that he had to talk directly to the saleswoman but he doesn’t have her card anymore. I just got back from being in London for seven weeks, so I haven’t had the chance to get my hands on it. To make a long story short, we've spent over $4,000 on a small closet that is not functional. We're very displeased.

I used Closet World about 15 years ago on another situation at my house. This was the primary reason why I chose them. Plus, they were running this special at the time which caught my attention. Also, I was experiencing a delay from a general contractor not being able to follow through quickly to get a closet vendor. Closet World was very professional. Their rep showed up on time for the appointment and she created the drawing, an estimate and booked the installation all in one hour. She listened exactly to what I wanted to do. I didn’t feel that she tried to oversell me on changing what I wanted to do into something else. I had a very straightforward project because I wanted to replicate a closet that had been water damaged in my house. I just needed for my insurance company to replicate it exactly. She was able to do that and she didn’t try to talk me into a more expensive option.
I approved the design, then we booked it, and I paid for it all in the same appointment. Closet World sent appropriate reminders a couple of days in advance to remind me of the installation appointment. The installer showed up on the right day and within the proper window of time. The guy did it all by himself. I don’t know how one guy can efficiently do it, but he did the installation alone. I only noticed one thing with the adjustable shelving that I had to call them to come back and show me how to deal with that but that was because I had to leave. If I had not had to leave to take care of another errand, I would have probably been able to talk to him when he finished the installation. For what we were looking for, Closet World's perfect. We needed them to do a closet remodel and I realized that the system they have for any closet wouldn't take custom work to have this project done. They have pretty much everything down to a science. I'm a carpenter and a cabinet builder so I do a little bit of that work. But being that I was on disability, instead of waiting around for me to come to it, I told my wife that we should go ahead and call Closet World. I told her they'll take care of everything and we'll be happy. So, I went on the internet to get their information and we called them.

We used Closet World many years ago and they did a decent job, so we went back to the people who treated us right the first time. The designer was a nice lady and the installation team was wonderful. I had about 25 closets, a workbench and a couple of other things. They did a good job and completely surrounded my garage. But I had an issue with the company's scheduling. It was a two-day project and four guys worked at 8:00 everyday. On the first day, they sent the installers late and one guy didn't show up which has no bearing on what they did. The next day, they knew they had to finish but they pulled the installers out in the morning, sent them on other jobs and brought them back in the afternoon. The installers were also getting frustrated because they wanted to finish.
I told the supervisor about the inconvenience and he said that they do that all the time. That's a bad practice and if I'm going to do this again, I would go to another venue if I knew he was scheduling the job. The project was done in two and a half to three days, but I waited two weeks. Everything else was fantastic, but I'd tell others how much of a bozo their supervisor is.

I saw a lot of Closet World's advertisements that come as mailers and I thought that they were a big company. Also, the pictures looked very nice and that my built-in office would probably turn out well. The first designer set the space up as boxes and did an okay job. The first designer set it up as boxes and it would have worked. But I was moving into a brand new home and I wanted the room double-checked for size because it's a little bit different than the model. And the second designer said it was a little bit out of spec because the width was too wide for the wood. But then the installer changed it arbitrarily. The shelves got shortened and some of the wood put in was defective. They didn’t have some of the right parts either.
When the first design was changed, their accounting department should have applied my initial payment to the second design, but they turned it around and reimbursed it, which went to my business account. However, I spend over $2,000 a week sometimes on air travel and hotels, and neither I nor the accounting had seen the reimbursement. When Closet World came to install it, they said I owed $3,000, not $1,000, and it took a while to figure out what they had done. It's weird that their accounting department didn’t tell me what they were doing to adjust everything. That’s where there was a breakdown in communication so that was frustrating on top of some of the other issues.
At that point, I sent up an email which was read by a bunch of people and Closet World sent down a supervisor who redesigned the office. It went back to almost the same specs as the original person did and now, it's being reinstalled and done the right way. There's a lot of companies that would just say they got your money and you're done. But Closet World is making it right.

I used Closet World in the past and I was happy with their work. They were a bit more expensive but I know the quality of their work and what the end result would be. We had them convert a bedroom into a closet, so it included hanging shelving, drawers, a hamper and a shoe rack. The product of Closet World is amazing. However, they would be so much more profitable if they had a sales staff that was better at what they do. First of all, their rep was really nice, but nice doesn't get you sales. Had I not used their product in the past, I probably would not have gone with Closet World. So I did not buy because of the salesperson. I bought because of my previous experience with the product in the past. In fact, I almost did not go with them because of the salesperson.
When the designer came out, I completely understand that she has other appointments. I am the customer, but I feel like I should have been that happy medium. I found myself basically begging for the appointment. And when she came out and we went over everything. I needed to make a decision as soon as possible. I met with her on a Thursday evening and I asked her to get me a quote by Friday afternoon. She said she will definitely get back to me by Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon came, and there was no quote. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday passed by. At that point, I just wanted to see how long it would take for her to get me the quote. But I didn't hear from her.
I waited a week from the day we met. And so, on Thursday, I emailed her and I said, "Are you going to send me your quote?" And so she finally sent it to me. I had a couple of questions, she answered my questions and I never heard from her ever again. I then proceeded to get other quotes and I was like, "Wow, okay. I guess she must be killing it herself because if she didn't follow up with the customer, she must be blown out apart." So then, I called her back and surprisingly enough, she did not call me back. I had to call her two times to move forward because I wasn't very happy with my experience with her.
I'm a sales manager, so I take it personally when I'm in a sales transaction and I'm the customer. One of my reps told me she was gonna have a closet installed. I asked who she’s using because my experience with who I just dealt with wasn't very good and that I'll go with another company. She said she’s dealing with Closet World. And, if it wasn't for the sales rep, she wouldn't be getting it done. I asked who she was dealing with and she told me the name and I said that's not my rep. She said her Closet World experience was horrible. It's like pulling teeth to get them to do the installation for her. Obviously, I understand how it works. There are territories that I respected, so I thought I’d give the girl a chance again. That's when I followed up with her, only to find out that she wasn't going to return my call.
I sent her an email on the 4th of July weekend and told her to call me back and she finally contacted me on the 8th because she was out on vacation. I told her I'm interested in moving forward however, I needed her to come back out, because we have a couple of modifications that we want to do, and I want to make sure the price is right. I told her to come back to me with the quote within 24 hours because I needed to make sure that we're correct on the quote. So she came back, sent me the quote, we're all good and we scheduled the installation. I didn't realize that to schedule installation was going to be two to three weeks out, which I was shocked to find that out. She should have told me that in the beginning.
Nevertheless, my installer was amazing. There was something that was forgotten in the order and he was kind enough to escalate it. He went to his boss and he's like, "Hey, I'm gonna get this fixed. I'll figure out how to squeeze to come back in tomorrow." Because then, he had to go get something redone and the sales rep didn't put it on the service order. So he said, "No worries," when I showed it to him. So he made the phone call, that he needed to expedite it, so that he can come back so that the closet could be done the next day, instead of another two weeks out again. So, everything was completed exactly how we expected it and when we expected it. Overall, they have competitive pricing which I appreciate. If it wasn't for the discount that they gave, then they would have been 50 percent more expensive. They also have good materials and craftsmanship of the product.

This time, I had some garage closets, cabinets and a workbench installed. The Closet World designer who came out this last one was very good and professional. I told her how much money I approximately wanted to spend and she kept it within my budget. I felt very good about that because during the first one, the price was a little bit high. After that, I had more done in my garage but had someone else to do it, 'cause I thought Closet World was too expensive.
The installation was very good as well. The team completed the work and left the area very clean. They had done everything correctly and I was very happy with the outcome. I just thought Closet World's price was a little high. But overall, I had a very good experience with them. They were prompt and very professional. They did a good job and did what they said that they were going to.

I selected two closet companies, Closet World and California Closets, and I talked to both. California Closets got back to me first, so I had them do a small bedroom closet. Then I needed to do a large closet and I had to meet a certain schedule. I finally heard from Closet World and we made an appointment. The only reason that Closet World took the business away from California Closets for this project was because I was won over by the investment of time put in by Dawn, the Closet World designer. She came for the appointment and I thought she was going to be here for an hour and a half max, but she was here for four hours, well past dinnertime, whereas the California Closets designer spent about 45 minutes. Dawn was really committed to putting something together for me that she thought I was looking for. In the end, I really appreciated her effort so I decided to go with Closet World for my large closet.
Closet World installed a master walk-in closet. The installer, Rico, was great and very professional. He put up the wall first. But we had one outlet that we weren't using so we had a dead plate that we had put over an electrical line. My husband came, looked at the wall that Rico had put up, and told him about the plate, and said that the electrical line is a live wire and not dead as Rico had thought, and that we needed to have access to it. This meant that the installer had to take everything upside down and recut out the wall, but he was very nice about it. It was a misunderstanding but he didn’t seem put off. He took the wall out, put the whole thing back up, and installed the closet professionally and very nicely.
Rico had already done some shimming, but there was need for a little more of it. My husband showed him another piece that needed shimming and he fixed that too. There was one drawer that looked a little damaged to me, so we had him do the inspection, and he agreed. Then he actually found a second damage himself. He said that we shouldn't worry because they were going to get the damaged parts replaced, and they did that about a week later.

I called Closet World and got the estimate. It was reasonable so I went with them. Their designer came over and I explained to her what I wanted. We looked at the different products. She did the measurements, drew it all and wrote it up and I signed it. She was knowledgeable, pleasant and courteous. I had some cabinets built in the laundry room. The installation went smoothly. Their team was on time, did their job, cleaned up their mess and everything was fine. They were very nice too. Closet World did a good job so I was pleased.

My cousin had Closet World in her first house in 1995. She also requested to have a cabinet when she moved to her new house and told me they were very on time, clean, detailed. When I got my house, I decided to go with Closet World company because I like their business and the quality. The cabinet was for my garage. The designer was very helpful. She explained and was very open for suggestion. The installers sent me a schedule and exactly came at the same time that it was set for them. I asked to add legs for my cabinet but it was too late because they told me I have to request it before. I didn’t know since I ordered my order. I requested to have a discount on the price and they told me there is no way we can get a discount unless we order another cabinet. But at this moment, I’m not ready to order any other cabinets.

I went with Closet World and had them install a closet. I had a very good interaction with their designer and the guy who installed it was very helpful. When we had an issue, he came and fixed the problem. Closet World was very good and the service they provided during the installation was excellent. It's just that when there's an issue, I'm expecting them to come a few days later or the next week. Unless I call a couple of times, nobody follows up. Like right now, I have an issue that needs more of a follow-up because I did not get a time to call. But nobody called and followed up on the issue from their end. Other than that, I'd still recommend them.

I’ve used Closet World before. Recently, we did a bedroom closet with them. Their designer was ok. We told her exactly what we wanted and she designed it. The guy who did the installation was okay. The materials, though, weren’t all okay. They were damaged and needed to be replaced. Also, they were supposed to come at a certain time but they were late, so, we didn’t get the job done. But eventually, we got it sorted out and they came back. The second guy, who I liked a lot better, fixed everything.
My experience was not all that great. They should make products that are satisfactory and that don’t need to be replaced before they're even used. I had a very hard time talking to anybody about trying to get them replaced. I also don’t like the fact that they set up a time and then they couldn’t even come that day and we had to set up for a week later. They shouldn’t be overbooking. They should have at least offered some kind of reduction to accommodate me because I had canceled appointments, changed things around so I could be here to do the installation.
Closet World is a big company, they need a customer service team. Their customer service shouldn’t be their installation people because they don’t know what the hell they're talking about when you're trying to do anything with replacements. It was frustrating and not satisfying. I would not recommend this company again. They did a fine, wonderful job for five times the money two years ago in Camarillo and I was very happy, which is why I spoke to them again, but I wouldn’t do it again. I would be afraid. I wouldn’t do it to myself and I wouldn’t do it to a friend.

I was going to shop around for closet companies, but when Closet World came in to design something and gave us an estimate, I went with them. Their designer, Angela, was very responsive that we actually went back and forth about a few things. Even after it was finalized, I changed my mind and I called her. She was very competent and she worked with me to change. The experience with her was very positive. But I’m not so happy with the people who came in to install. The finish was not as I expected. There was a lot of saw dust in the velvet drawer and I couldn’t get it all out when I tried to vacuum it. I’m still disappointed that they left it like that. I also had some vanities in the bathroom from some other contractor. And the quality and the finish was a lot better than the closet work and drawers. Other than that, I'm satisfied with my experience with Closet World.

I had a closet that already had Closet World features. I was adding shelves to it and my sister recommended Closet World. I moved and downsized so I've got stuff lying around that I thought was going to be taken care of by the design of the closet. Dealing with the designer went fine but what we had asked to occur didn't because the measurements were done incorrectly so there was a wait on getting installation because of that and because it's busy season. Also, I didn't get shelving in the hall closets as I thought I was, so I wasn't too happy with that.
I relied on whoever the rep was that's representing Closet World when they came in and took a look at what our needs were. If they say that they can build it but when installation time comes and they say they can't, then the likelihood of me using them again is pretty nil. I wouldn't use them again. But the installation's fine and the guy did the best he could. It's just more on the design front and I figured out another option.

I got my first closet back in 1998, 1999 and I had used Closet World. Recently, they installed a walk-in closet. The estimate was good but there were some errors, but I fixed them then they did come back out because I had to do some readjustments. There's another extra piece of wall that was there that we weren't planning on, but the designer did come out right away and she was good about that. The designer is great and the product itself is wonderful but the service is not the best. During the appointments, they had me, "Oh, we'll be there 11:00." Then I had to call them. "Sorry, we'll be there tonight at 8:00." Then I said to call me so we can get a hold of the tech and they said, “He'll be there first thing in the morning.” So it was a little bit annoying.
There were two men who came, but they're just going in circles. They were nice and apologetic but the bottom line is getting the work done at the end so I had to keep calling and getting it done, pushing them. They just looked at the map and then they try to fix whatever the issue is. They also have to come out again because a lock of one of my drawers is not closing right so they have to redo it. Then a little bit of the measurements were off, so they had to come back and there have been so many times already trying to get it done right. Then they put the handle but the guy put the handle way too high where the lock is so it's hard to open it. Also, the lock is not a good lock, so they replaced the whole drawer because I decided not to go with the handle anymore to avoid that.
I got the finance into Wells Fargo but Closet World charged the whole thing mistakenly on my other credit card when they put the down payment. The paperwork was done right but whoever picked up did it wrong. But I'm happy overall with how my closets turned out. It is beautiful work. It's just a little frustrating based on their service.

We had a closet without doors in our living room and I got Closet World to put the shelving in and install sliding doors. However, I did not get what I wanted. We had a smooth discussion with the designer but she didn’t listen to us. We told her that we didn’t want any wasted space. The closet is 27 inches deep and 80 inches tall but the doors came out short. They had to come back and put new doors. Then the shelving itself, instead of having 24-inch shelving, it was 16-inch. So we started blowing whistles and they told me that’s normal. I told them, "What’s normal if I have eight inches of space from the door to the shelf? And we said we didn’t want any waste space.” So we called the designer and he said, “Well, she kind of said it offhandedly. I didn’t think you would want to spend the extra $1,000 for the shelf to be 24-inch.”
So before they came back with the doors, I spoke with Howard who was arranging the delivery of the doors and the installation. I asked what we’re gonna do about the shelves. Right away we called the designer and she said that she would contact their Consumer Issues Department. About three days later, I texted her again and said nobody’s contacted me so she contacted them. They got back to me the next day telling me they can put the correct shelving in but it’s gonna cost me another $1,300, on top of $2,200. They didn’t mention the price for the correct shelves in the beginning. The price discrepancy was at least $1,000. And if they have given me a $3,500 price tag, I would have told them where the door was. But the installers were cool and when they saw the doors were wrong, they said, “Oh, yeah. We’re gonna have to come back and get these doors right." So they did the correct measurements on the doors.
I told Howard that we’re not happy with the shelves and that’s not what we wanted. And he said, “Well, you shouldn’t have signed it then.” They’re resting on this because her drawing, the 27 inches comes out even with the 16 inches. So it’s kinda hidden unless you’re really looking at it and besides, she never discussed the 16-inch shelves as opposed to the 24-inch. I also told Howard to remove the shelves and return my money but he won’t. He said that the $1,300 additional cost to put the correct ones in was a pretty good price. I told him it’s not because the shelves I have are not the ones I wanted.
Up to now, this hasn’t been resolved. We don't have any upcoming appointments with them but they called and asked me to do a survey. I told them how I was unhappy with how it turned out and they said they will have their Customer Issues call me. But I don't want to talk to Howard again because he just went round and round.

I liked what Closet World did in my master bedroom closet so I got them to do our balcony closet. They’re accurately-priced that’s why we didn’t have to get other estimates. The designer came to our house twice, one is to go over the initial design and second was to test. During installation, we had base issues but we were able to figure it out and ended up fine. It was quick and easy. They came a week later and dropped the other shelf because the first shelf installed had the dry wall look when it’s supposed to be different. Right now, we don’t have other closets to work on but we are going to use them again in the future.

Then I got a call a couple of weeks ago from Closet World saying they'd like another shot at the business. So I called them back last weekend and they were able to bring down the price. The designer was the original sales associate that came up the first time, and she was very nice. She knew a lot and her measurements were spot on. I wanted an organized closet not the furniture quality. I usually get three estimates but I did not have to for Closet World. Another factor that I selected it was the coupon. The designer listened to me and gave the price that is within our budget, she didn’t try to upsell. She took measurements and gave the sketch. As soon as it was approved, it was ordered the same day and they called when it was ready for installation. The installer was very proficient. He cleaned up after and went back the next day to put the missing piece. It worked out well since he was around my time frame. I now have a white, easy-to-wipe with needed space, drawers and shelves in my master bedroom’s walk-in closet. There were a couple of pieces of wood that were added to the first unit that went in and it looks great. They also completed the job on time. They did a great and outstanding job. We used Closet World at our old house years ago and we had no issues with them. Then I got closet rails and doors for our master closet. The designer was very knowledgeable and they also organized the space well. But I had an issue with the installation. There was something with the way the closet was put in and the way my carpet was going to be laid in. There ended up being a big gap between my carpet and the closet so the carpet people had to patch in a piece. And some of the doors were not placed well. I asked the guy about the floor issue and he said that's the way it is and nobody addressed it. I finished the situation not feeling happy. My rods were too short for hanging clothes so they would fall often. They came to do that and they had to fix the railing on a few drawers because the drawers were collapsing down on top of each other.
The best experience I had was with the repair. The two repairmen who came were nice and wanted to do the best they could do. But I feel like the people who install are rushing out. And even this time when they rushed out, whenever I push one of my drawers back in, it sounds like it's scraping on something. So I wish I had the time to look at that while they were still there. They should make sure to go over everything with the client/customer at the end and make sure everything is working well. If I need to go with an inexpensive option, Closet World can work. But if I could afford something else, I would do it.

We needed more space in the garage and the first one we called was Closet World. We told the designer we needed the biggest cabinets we could get that would fit in the space and we wanted it to be robust. She designed it according to our needs and measured the space. Two guys did the installation and it took them a while because it was a big cabinet but they completed it at once. It was four cabinets total. Two on one side, two on the other.
The billing aspect was a bit tricky because my wife and I decided to split the cost. I initially paid the 50% down payment on my card and charged the other 50% on her card. Instead of charging in her account, they recharged mine but they remedied that. I could have gotten a better price if I haggled but I didn’t care. Within the first year it pays for itself and then after that, it works out better because we're currently paying for storage fees. I’ve got nothing bad to say, I’m satisfied with it and have been using it.

Each one had four panels which contained hangers and closet shelves. The designer's a very nice lady, a little eccentric but she's very polite and was on time. The first design's measurements were off slightly so, the installer had to make up a little bit of the difference but everything worked out. The second design was perfect and had no issues.

The Closet World designer was thorough. She knew about all their products. However, Closet World needs to improve on their quality of service, their installation, and making customers happy. The service that I got was pathetic and I've been dealing with this since May. The drawers that the installer put in one closet would not open with the closet doors that were ordered. His fingerprints and paw marks were black and are all over both sets of closets.
Additionally, he put indentations in both closets. I heard a lot of banging when he put the closets in. I went up there to look and check. I'm totally unfamiliar with how their closets go in because I've never used them, so I presumed when you’re putting something in and you hit a side, it's going to put a mark or a scrape or a slight indentation. He tried to cover them up with white paint that didn't even match the color of the closets. The supervisor had the second installer look at all the places that I was speaking about where all the white touch-ups were but he told me there's nothing they can do about it. I asked, "What about all these black marks from his hands?" He said, "Well, just get some cleaner and clean it off." I just about went through my roof.
Also, one closet is not up against the wall totally, so there's a huge gap in the top. There's a unit piece that they put on the very top where they connect the shelving for drawers and hanging rods to. That very top piece is supposed to be flush mounted against the wall, and it's not. They tried to tell me that my wall was crooked. They've been out here at least five times because the warehouse supervisor supposedly ordered the correct closet doors (supposedly, the closet doors were not made correctly four times). The fourth time they came, the rollers were rolling so hard that they were shaking my downstairs lightly.
I deserve some kind of credit for putting up with their shenanigans. The supervisor should have rectified the problem within two weeks at max, but not three months. For the price that I paid and to have to put up with all this, I told them I wanted a refund. He said "Well, I gave you three doors instead of two doors." I said, "Well, you had to do that. Otherwise, my drawers inside the closet wouldn't open." I also said, "That's not sufficing in any way for what you guys did, and how many times you guys ordered or did not order the closet doors." He said, "Well, let me see what I can do." As of yet, he hasn't called back, and this is the second week. I will call at the end of this week and will haul off on him for not calling me back.

My friend had used Closet World in her home and she recommended them highly at that point. I also happen to live in a home that had Closet World’s work in it and I'm very happy with the quality of the work that they had done there. And I saw their 50% off for the summer so I decided to go with Closet World and they installed basic white closets in the bedrooms.
However, my experience with Closet World was not very good. The designer was the one I had an issue with. She wasn’t very confident when she started out. She kept saying that it was a very big project and she wasn’t sure. When she did the measurements, she messed up big time because when the guys came to install, she had made wrong measurements so they had to go and come back another day. It was a complete mess from start to finish. She took the measurements and gave us the closet installation date. But that didn’t work out because the day before it was supposed to be installed, they called me and they rescheduled because they said there was some problem with the design.
My husband and I had pushed our travel date out so that at least one of us could be here at some point during the day when they would come. But the people at Closet World pushed it out again after we had done that the first time. On the day they came, they spent the whole day installing it and they couldn’t finish two of the bedroom closets because the designer had made the wrong measurements. They had to come back nearly 10 days later and I had to take off for another half day to be around.
On the other hand, the installation people were really good and I was happy with them. They did whatever we wanted. There were some changes we wanted to do and they said it wasn’t in the design but they decided to help us out since the designer didn’t understand what we wanted. It looks like the designer promised something that wasn’t possible to be done. Overall, we’re very unhappy with the whole experience. We had Closet World do our master closet and we love what we got. We’re satisfied overall, but the designer was a little pushy. I understand she’s trying to sell their product but she also has to keep an open mind that we set up other appointments to get estimates. I didn't like the fact that she came in to our house and she was looking at our kitchen cabinets and said, “Oh, these are cheap and this is this and this is that.” For that reason, I will not recommend and not use Closet World again because I’d be afraid to get her back.
The installation went very well and the only problem was we had requested some hooks and they weren’t on the order. So we did not pay the balance and we waited almost three weeks to get those hooks. Then I got a phone call when they were ready to install the part. It was probably a $20 part but it had to come from California. So they came, installed it and wanted the balance of their money.

We've used California Closets three times before in Bakersfield and Sacramento and had no problem. But when we had an in-home interview with them here in Orange County, the difference was day and night. They never gave me an estimate in the house and their in-house senior salesperson said that she’d email us the estimate, but she could not get it to us even though she gave us the ballpark when we were in the home. They also told us that we should take out everything in the shelving and have somebody to remove the long pole that goes across before they can come in. It was a disaster with California Closets.
So we got a second opinion from Closet World and we ended up getting two very large closets and doors worth $6,000 from them. The closets and the spaces cost $1,000 a closet, but the doors cost $2,000. The doors were ridiculously overpriced but really nice and look like shoji Japanese screen doors with glass and white glass. The Closet World lady, Vicky, was nice enough to say I could get those over at another company about four miles away for a lot less, but I wanted it all done in one way. She also had to come back a second time because we forgot about a couple of other items that needed measurement.
Then their team came in and did everything perfectly with two guys in about five hours. They didn’t get here until noon and they were finished by 5:00 or 5:30. They were fantastic, didn’t do any damage and cleaned up. Everything was pristine and I couldn’t have asked for a better job. Their service was easier and simpler than I ever imagined. Plus, Vicky made our closets a dream.

I googled Closet World and their quality of reviews made me decide to go with them. We had them install a nine-foot closet in the guest bedroom. However, the designer was all over the place and that was energy draining. It would be nice to get somebody that is more organized. But she was pretty nice overall. I had some built-in shelf that had to be demolished. I called Closet World and I said, "You have a deal. I will go with you guys.” And I decided on the same day the designer was here. I also told them, "If you can demolish what I have, let me know how much it would cost." They said they will demolish it for an amount.
However, the designer did not tell Closet World that it was difficult and then she told the guy that it was very easy to do. And Closet World sent only one guy here. He was wonderful the first day. He demolished the piece by himself and it was super difficult to demolish that it took him three hours to finish that. And when he wanted to put up the closets, the sides didn't match the hole. So, Closet World had to come back four days later. The second guy came and installed the closet. He was very nice too. But it was very stressing to have my bedroom open like that for almost a week.
I wish it was an easy process and things were communicated to the back office better, because they didn't see what is in here and the designer did. I know she wanted to close the deal by making it look so easy, but it wasn't an easy deal to close. But the manager tried to get in touch with me all the time, so that was very nice of him to make sure that everything was taken care of. I was also happy with the product. It was outstanding. When I walk in the room, I see the closet and I enjoy looking at it.

The installers were friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time and custom built the closet which looks sturdy. They had some adjustments they had to make, but overall, the closet was well put together and seems to be working well for us.

This time, I had them install the garage cabinets. The Closet World designer that came out was nice but she was a little dingy. I didn't think that she really was on top of knowing the answers to some of my questions. But everything turned out okay and went over our issues or problems. The installation guys were nice, clean and efficient, they got it done and got out of there. I had a Murphy bed with shelves and cupboards on both sides and then a desk with drawers. Their designer was good, knew what she was doing, checked it all out and got me some nice discounts. I enjoyed her. The installers were fabulous, too. I was told that the foreman was excellent but he went beyond that. They were very tidy and they cleaned up the whole thing. I was very impressed. My wife and I have known about Closet World for a while. We had them install a white closet product with a basic material. It has like a dresser and a bunch of shelving where my wife puts her purse and shoes. Also, it is enough for our clothes to be hung up. Their designer was great and she worked well with my wife. She did all the measuring. My wife told her what she wanted and she mapped it all out, and it came out nice. The installation team was cool. They did the best clean up they could but the only thing is, on the ground, I found some nails that were pulled out. The product looks great at the end and so far, the quality is good. It is sturdy, nothing is broken and the drawers work well.

Closet World installed the closet organizer in our bedroom. They were convenient to deal with and the designer was very courteous, knowledgeable and her design was great, too. Also, the installers were very professional, respectful and they did a great job. They took care of everything the first time. I did the financing through Closet World and I haven't received the bill. So I called Closet World's customer service and they said that it's not something that they can help me out with. I have to call whoever I financed through because they had nothing to do with it. I asked what that meant because I had filed the application through them. They signed me up with whoever and gave me the line of credit.
Now, they're telling me that they had nothing to do with it. They told me I had to call Wells Fargo but I don't know the account number. That's really the biggest downfall. There's no follow through and they screwed me big time. Now, my credit is on the line, not Closet World's because they got paid. I've had a great experience but they need some work on the customer service side.

Closet World installed a basic white closet for children in a bedroom. The installer had to come back three times because the designer had missed measures so he didn’t have the materials. The first time he had to come back, my son was there and he was over 18 and I was on my way. But I had to give him a check for the balance too. The installer couldn’t start working until he had a check which was stupid to me. He left and came back like three weeks later. Other than that, it’s a nice closet and it works. I like it and I’d like to do the other one. But I have to save up for it ‘cause it’s expensive. I have to wait for a sale. Overall, it's good quality and my experience with them has been fairly easy.

She spent a lot of time with me and was very patient. She also didn't give me a hard sell at all. She just tried to do what I wanted rather than what she or the company wanted. Right after the cabinets were installed, I had Debbie to come back and she designed the third wall for me which is going to be installed August 29th.

She showed me what areas, how much room it would take up and what was the best area in the room to put them up. The installer was self-sufficient. He had the drawings that the designer had and he made sure he was in the right spot. He explained to me that he was taking some of the baseboards off so the closets could fit flat against the wall. He did run into some problems because my walls are not straight so that threw him off. But he was able to make it all work and make it look good. It was a great experience overall.

She's very punctual and had answered all our questions. She also did a great job designing based on our needs.
Their installation team was good as well. We did the closet and had to do the garage afterward. The closet was smaller and they sent out three people who comfortable got it done in a day. However, the garage had actually more work to do, but they only sent out two so they didn't get it all done in a day and they had to come back the next day. But, that was because of the scheduling and has nothing to do with the team who came out. Everything went well in the end and we're very satisfied with how it turned out.

I've used Closet World before and this time, I had some real basic large cabinets and a closet under my stairs installed. The designer was amazing and she did a phenomenal job. The installation was great as well. They were wonderful and professional. However, I work full time and they assured me when I first got them that they would work with me and I wouldn’t have to take time off from work, but I did have to and the days they promised were not available. Plus the rest of the experience was crappy so I'm a little frustrated.
My issue was when I paid for it. They told me this thing was in pending and then it was out of pending then it was in pending again! Then, they were talking me into a credit card, "If you use our interest-free card, it would have put the whole thing way behind and all this in pending out of pending." That back and forth was a huge hassle and I put a lot of time into it. I had ordered these things around May 24th and I didn’t get them until the middle of July. It was so stressful that I almost canceled my order. They put me through a lot and I had to go to managers. It was aggravating. The installers were pretty good. They came on time and they were pretty clean. But there are still some parts in the sewing room that I'm not really thrilled with. The Closet World designer was cool and she’s in the right position. We had Closet World install my master walk-in closet and then another closet. During the installation, I came in at the end part of it. I was a little shocked at the way it looked but the installer just said, “Sign this piece of paper.” The look wasn't what I thought it was based on the conversation the designer and I had in the design but technically it was right. And also, I had given them a credit card number to process the remaining balance and I noticed that they took it out of another card that I had given them for a previous payment.
The sales approach was a little pushy. They got this deal right here and if I don’t get it right now, I’m not gonna be able to get the additional percentage off. The closet looks great and the Closet World install team was awesome. My only regret is that I ordered a little laundry component to the closet and from the outside, you would think that it was going to give you a whole lot of room. But when you open it on the inside, the bag is relatively small and there's no fixing that. If I had to go back and do it again, I wouldn't have ordered that. I thought I had a resolution with the guy who I was in touch with and that he was going to send me out a bigger bag. But when they came out again, they brought the exact same size of small bag and said that was it. It's a breakdown in communication. It also took me several phone calls to finally get on my contact's schedule. But overall, I'm really happy with the closet and the experience was very professional.

We just moved and my husband needed a home office, mostly a table and some shelves in the closet, and we considered a built-in set-up. Closet World said that they would do a free in-home consultation so we called. The designer came on time and she was pretty good. She did a good measurement and gave us suggestions then we discussed what we wanted. And then when I have another thought, we started to discuss again. The interaction was good and everything is professional. We decided on that day that we'll give them a try. We wanted to have a contrast with the countertop and the table top and also the side.
She followed up on me on the date saying, “You decide. I will make the order.” I had a little hesitation and I sent her more pictures of what I liked. I wanted her to send me some pictures about what the design would be. She sent me some pictures that I had some doubts about ‘cause it didn't look good on the picture. I wondered if mine would come up as the one she sent me. But she said that it would be different. We had some little back and forth and eventually I said that we would go ahead with our original design.
It was all good until the people came to install. It was a Thursday night and we were going on vacation that Saturday, so we were waiting for the office to be set up. I was at work when they came, but my husband was home. What the installers did, however, was not a contrast design. The top and the sides were all the same color. The installer told us that the factory didn't get an order for the contrast and that's why they came with that. My husband saw that and he said it was fine if that's what they had.
We didn't get what we wanted. I even have the sample the designer left us yet we got the whole same color. It's fine though 'cause it's functioning and the installation itself was good. However, there's a sharp corner that's sticking out and people will easily hit it. It's a hazard, especially since I have kids at home and that's why we wanted Closet World fix it. There was also a missing hole on the shelf so my husband won't be able to put the wires through for his computer equipment.
I texted the designer that evening and told her this was not what we wanted and that there were other issues we wanted to be fixed. She said she would contact her supervisor because our account belonged to some other department then. The next morning, I asked if they could compensate us and give us some discount but she said no. I asked for her supervisor and a gentleman called me back.
We talked about the issue but he said he would have to talk to the designer to know the whole picture and he would get back to me. I even emailed him the picture of where the issue was, but I never received a reply and we never heard anything back afterward. I'll text and email him again to see when they will come back to fix that. They should be more proactive and follow up on issues though. We even paid everything. Our experience has been acceptable but it could be better. My husband has been waiting for long and he actually said we'll just get a table.

I want a couple of middle drawers for the closet in my house so called Closet World. The designer came and she took the measurements. The amount was $1800 something and there was supposed to be a 50% discount that they did not add. That was my mistake and I shouldn't have accepted. I said that it was fine as a long as she's here. When she put the order, she told me what I have to pay and I paid half of the price.
Later, it came out that she made mistakes in the measurements and they scheduled. The scheduling time is very long. It was more than two weeks. Then, after two weeks when the technician came, he brought the drawers and then he checked the trail which is long. It's a walk-in closet and when somebody walks inside, it's going to hit the head into the sharp part of the trail at the top. He said it wouldn't fit there and that he couldn't do that because the measurement is not correct. He then called somebody and that person said to just install it. I told them no because of this sharp part.
I got upset and the designer talked to me very rudely because I already paid half of the amount. I said to cancel this drawer that doesn't fit and let me have the other one. She said I can't have the other one either until I pay the full price. I asked if that means that's for one drawer, I have to pay $1800 and if it was fair. She said that is the rule because I've passed the time that I can cancel. It's not my fault and it was the time before the scheduling took so long. That took more than two weeks to prepare the drawers and bring it back.
The technician left because she told the technician to leave with the drawer. But I called that person again and I asked if I'm getting the refund. He said no and that I'm returning both drawers. In this case, they're not giving me back the $900. I'm not having the drawers and I'm losing that much money. I told them to call their technician back and let him install both drawers because I have no other choice. Either I have to lose the money without having both drawers even if I waited that long to have the drawers in my house or I have to pay this full amount and get one of the drawers that doesn't fit here. Instead of losing the money, I need to have whatever they have there.
But the technician was very nice and he was a very good guy. He came back in five minutes and installed both of them. One of the drawers is very good - the sliding that has two drawers. But with the other one that has three parts, the trail is still there and it's sharp. My son is four and he seeks there too and it's close to head. I asked the technician if there is anything that he could do to remove the sharp parts from the top and the bottom and he said he can't. We have to call a handyman who will do something for it. I did nothing to that and it's still there.
Later, I asked for the person who is I think a supervisor. I said it's not me and the scheduling took two weeks. Also, nobody told me that I can cancel before that date and how can I cancel if I don't see the stuff that I'm having? I know they're supposed to tell me that and supposed to see what they are bringing so I can cancel. I said that I don't really care it's their fault and that I want the drawers but to find a solution for it. They said no and that it's what they have. But he gave me a $200 discount on the top of $1800 for the price of two drawers. They were too expensive. I regret that because I went to Home Depot and other places that design drawers and they were much cheaper. It's a bad experience and I'm not going to deal with Closet World again. Also, I'm not telling anybody to deal with them.

The worst part about it was that I had to make phone calls to find out where they were and I did not get any communication from Closet World.
One part of it that I didn’t realize was that when they took the baseboards off, they didn’t patch up and repaint it, and I didn’t remember them saying that. I had my paint and drywall people remove all that and paint the whole room before the closet was installed. However, the installation and the material they used were totally unacceptable. The rollers they used were very cheap. The drawer would swing both sides.
My daughter paid and gave the check to them as we were in Europe during installation time. I told my daughter, she’s supposed not to give the check until we check that everything is okay. I tried to contact them and set up an appointment to fix the roller. They sent someone over without parts so the guy could not do anything at all. I called them and asked, “When are you going to fix it?” “Oh, you have to pay $80 more per drawer.” I have eight drawers so I had to pay another $640. It's ridiculous because their job was not up to customer satisfaction. I also asked them to fix the panel at the back and they didn’t show up.
It was terrible and I didn’t know where to complain because I would like to talk to the managers. I paid $200 from my own pocket and hired another company to come and change the roller because I cannot tolerate the billing. I will strongly tell people not to use their service. She couldn’t find her ruler and that's probably why she measured everything wrong. So when the guy came to install the cabinets, he couldn’t put anything up. He had to go back and redo all the cabinets. Then I was also supposed to get a jewelry box but they kept forgetting it. It took me about a month but they finally did it. They’re very disappointing.

I got bids from different companies and I liked the designer from Closet World best. They were more expensive but the designer was very knowledgeable and always said, "we'll make it work." They did a very simple installation. I took a bedroom with windows and made them put a closet with shelves and accessories. The designer came by twice because the closet was supposed to be over the windows so he needed to check the measurements.
Ironically, when they came to install, the measurements were off because there was an issue. But the installer instantly knew how to fix it. The job was an absolute perfection and it’s 100 times better than what I thought it would be. I am so glad I went with Closet World because it’s my favorite part of the house. I've also told everybody that the installer was an artist. It was a tough job and he worked until it was perfect, and I was blown away. Overall, it was a professional, beautiful and efficient experience. I want to get more shelves made through Closet World.

The Closet World designer Liz was amazing. I met with her one time and she was helpful and did a great job. She sees all the closets, did some sketches and explained what paint that they would set for the closets, and for each person depending on the age and gender. However, the installers were supposed to come to remove and tear off the old closets all at once so they could change paints and take the floors. There was a miscommunication and only one guy showed up so they wanted to do the job in another day. But my parents came from Mexico just for that and they were leaving the next day.
Closet World figured something, had some workers come and ended up resolving the issue. We had them install for the bedroom, three kids closets with sliding doors and three main, big closets where one was like a woman's walk-in closet, made out of scratch at the beginning, and for the pantry, a closet on top of the dishwasher. Overall, it was an easy experience and the prices were reasonable.

I saw 40% off through one of those fliers in the mail so I gave Closet World a call. The designer was great. The first round, she did four closets in our house and did a nice job for what we wanted. For the second round, we got a closet added to our pool house. The designer didn’t come out to see the space and we had a minor hiccup with measurements that we had to do over the phone. But it was no big deal and we got through it.
The guy who came out to build the closet was totally understanding. I also talked to the owner of the company and he apologized for the designer not coming out to see the measurements for themselves. We didn’t have to go through that but it ended up being fine in the end. It took them a week or two to come back to fix it but it was fine. It was in good timing when we needed it to be finished anyway, so we weren’t in a huge rush.
Closet World's workmanship is great. Our closet has a funky wall so they did a good job. The overall quality is also fine. I could’ve probably paid more for some extra finishes and made it look a little bit nicer, but our closets don’t really show. The doors are always closed so I’m happy with that. I totally recommend the company. They’re great to work with.

I got two estimates, one from Closet World and one from Costco. Closet World's designer came to our house and told us about what she thought we needed and she was great. The first time she came, she walked through in our preexisting closet and did the design. We had them install a master bedroom closet system with two hampers and two cupboards, lots of shoe shelves and lots of hanging rods and she came out when the construction was near to completion to see if everything would fit okay and if she needed to make any revisions. She was thoughtful and nice to work with.
The installers that came were also very nice. They did a great job but they didn't install everything. We didn't realize until later that there was some equipment missing. They didn't put it in the belt rack. It's been six weeks and we got some parts in the mail but it wasn't everything. We still don't have the sliding rails so I'm very disappointed with that. They were on our order and we paid for them but it was handwritten. And so, I wonder if whoever saw the handwritten and translated it in the computer made a clerical error. However, we're generally happy. It's only minor stuff that we're still waiting for. It was a great organization and a very nice product.

The installers did what they were supposed to do, and it was a great experience working with Closet World.

The Closet World designer came out, asked us to what we wanted, gave us a couple options, and then we drew out what was best. She wrote up an estimate and then we shopped around and ended up coming back to her. The installation team came out and wanted the balance due upfront before they did any work. I didn't really appreciate that especially when the contract states the money is due upon completion of work. I then called the sales lady back and told her what the contract says and that installation team hasn't even started. So they came back, went through their work and finished everything. They did a good job installing the garage cabinets and I wrote them the check. Overall, Closet World was professional.

We had gotten a couple of other quotes and Closet World was a little cheaper. They had a sale going on so we decided to go with them. We had cabinets installed over our washer and dryer and sink in our laundry room. Then we had them install floor to ceiling cupboards in our loft to store toys and games and things. The designer was very helpful. She was able to capture on her paper exactly what we were wanting done and gave us an accurate idea of cost the first day we met with her at our house. She was knowledgeable about what her job was. She had also brought with her a portfolio of other jobs that had been done.
The installation team worked fairly quickly. I had all my kids home with me and they were considerate of them. It was a good experience. We're grateful and we like our cabinets. Closet World has excellent customer service and installation, and I would recommend them. But I would like to have a follow up appointment because one of the pieces of molding is coming apart from the ceiling.

We bought a house a few years ago. We kept it as a rental and then I moved into it on March 1st. The master closet was about two feet by three. It’s really small so we decided I was going to fix it. But as I started, I thought that we’re not going to be happy with it. So we knocked out the back wall then decided to extend the closet outside and made it huge, a 10 by 10. We now have a closet and made the fourth deck smaller.
We called Closet World to see if they could come out and build the wall and the rest of the closet but they were not able to. They don’t send out carpenters but they were able to recommend me to somebody else. The salesperson was super nice. She had a client list of people that she had worked with in the past and they did construction. While that salesperson was here, we called a carpenter and he said he’d be able to do it. He came out and we worked on it. Two and a half to three days later, we built the wall and painted the whole interior and exterior of the closet. After that, Closet World came out and installed the inner parts of the closet, the part that they do.
The handyman from Closet World was very good because he could build the whole closet. He did a good job and he was a really nice guy. I kept asking if he needed any help but he didn't. Also, I was happy with Closet World’s price. Everything was measured correctly. We didn’t need anybody after that. All we did was hang our clothes. My wife was very happy. I had a good experience with Closet World. I’d recommend them to anybody.

However, he had to drive almost two hours to pick up equipment, another two hours to my home to install, and then two hours back to the shop everyday. That is horribly inefficient. The manager was supposed to get back with me with some pricing on some additional shelving but he never did though. Nonetheless, the closet looks great. That happened twice and we weren’t too happy with how it actually came out either. For the price we paid, we thought it would look better than what we got. At the top of the staircase, I had a wall unit put in for more storage space for towels, sheets, blankets and other stuff. It was from the floor to the ceiling. I found out about Closet World in a newspaper ad and I chose them after reading their reviews. I spoke to Lorrie and she was very helpful. We went over several different designs until we came up with something that I can afford and that I still like.
I was a little disappointed, however, with the installation because they told me that there's no problem with removing things. I let them know ahead of time that there was a cabinet that was installed at the top of the staircase that I didn't like and we were replacing it. They had trouble removing it. Then I had to have someone come in and repair patchwork and paint. Other than that, they actually did a fairly good job. I was just kind of disappointed because they did not expect to be removing the cabinet and I thought that they knew that they were. So kind of made the project a little bit longer that day.
They had to come back because a few spots weren't completely finished to what I thought was finished. There were some open spaces. We have a laundry chute at the top, and it looked like they've cut out a hole in there and just left it. They didn't try to make it look nice. They just showed exposed wood and stuff, and I didn't like that. They did come back though and fix it. I did have Closet World come back a second time. I couldn’t find anyone that would install cabinets for a bookshelf in my mom’s office to hold a collection of things so they had to be customized, but my mom didn’t want it to be too expensive. We saw an advertisement mailed to my house about Closet World and they did the work at my mother’s house. The designer was great and really nice. When she drew up the plan, they were supposed to go all the way to the ceiling but when the installer came with the material, it was 96 inches, not 108 which isn’t right. They said it was how it was ordered. Since my mom’s elderly, she said that maybe we made the mistake. I asked the installer if we could call the designer but he said that it was how she wrote it up.
A supervisor came and he looked at the cut-to-fit arrows as going out horizontally instead of vertically, the way the designer pointed it up. They put arrows to make it cut-to-fit to the wall but it was supposed to be to the ceiling and have crown molding up the ceiling to look like it was built-in. I threw a fit and called the company but they told me to send them an email which was weird since I’d get faster service if they called me within an hour. I felt I was getting jerked around but I sent the email and they sent a supervisor out the next day. Then they gave a date, but the product didn’t come in so they had to delay it for another day.
The experience was frustrating because when I’m criticizing someone’s work, they need to have a professional attitude. They get frustrated because they are paid by the job but the customer comes first. The installer was not rude to me, but I could see his frustration. It was a miscommunication of planning between who cut and rig the designer’s drawing and sometimes the salespeople and home office. Overall it was rough in the beginning and it took three times for them to come out but they rectified the problem and followed through in the end. We got what we wanted and even more because they upgraded the shelves even gave better shelving so they took care of us. We got our money’s worth and they worked to their client’s satisfaction.

I saw Closet World at a newspaper and thought that okay for 59 years I hated the closet I had because it was terrible so I'd get someone to come out. And when I talked to a friend she said that Closet World got a closet done in one of her rental homes and it wasn’t very much money. I said okay because I don’t have that much money. I called and they came out and the lady took measurements. My daughter was here with me since I wanted somebody else to hear what the lady would tell. It cost me $1,900 to have it done and it wasn’t exactly what that lady said. I am looking at it every morning and I teach myself what a stupid person I am to have it done.
We told the lady that we wanted a part of the closet where I could hang long dresses and she said that we would get that. Then she told me all I had to pay was my sides and I didn’t have to pay anything else because they would come out and everything will be that we can’t even see the paint job. When the installer came out all he put in was a wooden frame and there was nothing on some of the sides and on the roof of the thing.
I’m a single lady and it was hard. I had to have somebody come over because I'm short and I couldn't paint the other part of the room. My daughter said, “Oh no, Ma, you have to paint this.” So she came over with a stepping stool and she did as much as she could and that was it. The closet looked nothing like the one in the papers and I have no room to put my long dresses. We stuck it way in a corner and it has to be on top of another. I don’t even have enough room to hang all my clothes. The installer was just by himself and it was late at night when he finished so I thought to just forget it and not say a thing.
Also I got another piece to hang the belts and the installer put it in the wrong area. I have a man friend that said would move it to be out of where it’s at but my daughter told me to take it out completely because it’s no good. The mirror sliding door is the only thing I like but they didn’t even do anything on the floor. It’s wood from the floor up. So I went down and got a box of seeder and I have to get somebody now to put that thing on the floor.
I have other rooms that have the same closet that I got rid of and I would never call Closet World to have them come and do the other closets. If others would say that Closet World is going to do their closet I’d tell them to come and look at mine because I’m not happy with it at all. I’m very disappointed of how they did it to me but I got the closet and I can’t cry about it now.

They also told me what they were going to be doing and roughly how long they might take. They were very efficient in terms of their time and in how they were able to get in, do what they were supposed to do and get out.
We actually had one room converted into a closet. Shelves were installed and other shelves were put up on two sides of the wall. Two areas where our clothes can be hanged were also installed. He was a professional and experienced guy who did a great job and he didn't take too much time.
But there were some other issues. There was a wall mount on the closet which the designer didn't see. The installer saw it when he came and he had to make another drawing because something was on the wall which was controlling the electricity. At the bottom, there was something that they had to take off in order to put the closet in. But husband didn't want that because he wanted to keep everything in their original condition. But if we were going with the other option of leaving them on, we were told it would be $300 more. My husband didn't want to pay as we already paid a lot of money, around $1600.
The installer took out small wall pieces in order to put the closet pieces on the wall. There were certain things that even if he didn't know, he went and asked someone else and was able to get the questions answered. The installation team was pleasant as well. We had a few things that had happened that were beyond their control, but they were able to work it out to give us what we wanted.
However, there was one thing that could have been re-measured and thought out that we couldn't change after it was done. It was some spacing between one shelf and the other. It could have been fixed if it was caught earlier. It's no longer possible for them to repair that because if they did, they would have to move the whole unit which would leave holes in the wall that would be noticeable. And they would have to do a lot more cutting and we would have to do a lot more touch ups for the whole thing to be done. Even though it's a storage phase area, it's still not as easily accessible as we would want it to be. Nonetheless, our experience with Closet World is a recommendable one. I love the closet. Having it well done and organized is definitely a plus especially for the type of project that it was for.

I had a good experience with Closet World. I was able to see different companies like Closet Design, but I chose Closet World because the seller said it was a good brand. I didn't have any problems with the designer, and the installers did well. They came on time, finished in one day, and didn't mess anything. They were good guys.

I had Closet World make a few closets for me. However, at that time, I had a bad experience but the district manager was able to solve the problem. It was very hard for me because it took him two months to make a decision on everything. I already paid $600 so I have no option to change anything and agreed to continue. The designer, Patricia, was very good. However, it has something to do with miscommunications so when she sent me the design, I didn't like it. So I talked to the district manager and he set up something else. Although not the same of what I need, it was good. He adjusted everything. On the other hand, the cupboards they made were gorgeous. It looks good in my fresh room and even in my room. I had a specific set-up but I’m not this type of people who wouldn’t cooperate so it was okay. I want them to continue working in my garage but because I had a bad experience, I'm still thinking about it.
The installation experience was good. The installer understood everything. He answered my calls and he's very hard-working. I appreciate that. I needed a lock on my window drawers and have told the installer about it. He said he would talk to people and come back to fix it but no one came. I didn't get any email or anything from them. Nevertheless, I still like Closet World and would recommend to friends even though there are also a lot of competition out there.

I wanted to put shelvings in our garage. I went online and went to local stores and checked other companies. I checked Home Depot and Lowe's. But I didn't like the material they have, it was already falling apart inside the store. Also, It's ready made. It's not like they have to design it here. I went to the Closet World's store where they have a showroom. I checked and I decided to go with them. Their material looks like it's made to last forever. And with them, it was designed and fit for our house. So I decided to have the shelving in chrome, silver and black color.
Their designer was fantastic, very flexible and honest. She designed the shelves to fit our house, listed all my comments and my recommendations, and she even came back twice to address our concerns even after the first design. The guys who installed the shelves were very approachable, very confident and they put it up within a day. Everything went well. And then after it's all done, we were so happy, we didn't want to put anything inside it because it looks so fancy. We even invited the designer to come back and see what she had done to support us. It was an excellent and worthy experience with Closet World. And turning the garage like a living room was a fantastic job that I've ever done.

Closet World was less expensive than other companies so, we had two closets remodeled by them. The designer that we worked with was professional and he was fast. Furthermore, the worker they sent was super nice. However, he had to come out twice because one of the closets was designed incorrectly. But he was fine and he came back quickly. And since they fixed the closets, everything has been great.

The contractor of the house recommended that I get Closet World. And I had them make a room into a closet. The designer was very fast and effective. She did a great job measuring and designing everything that had to be done but there was an issue with the delivery date. I told the designer that I couldn't do it on a certain day and she forgot to tell someone. The installation team ended up going to the house and no one was there so I had to reschedule but it was just a minor detail that happened. The installation team went in but I had to leave my house and they stayed there and were very professional. Everything was perfect but there was just an issue where the two shelves on the pantry weren't placed correctly and things I put there fell. I followed up and the guy said he was going to call me back to set up a date when they can go back and fix the two shelves but he hasn’t called yet.

We used Closet World in all four of our houses. They knew exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it and they gave me whatever I needed. We got the wardrobes, shoe closets and all the garage cabinets installed. The installers came one afternoon and came another day in the morning and finished everything. We were totally fine with the quality of their products and the overall experience was excellent.

We compared prices between Closet World and another competitor in our neighborhood and Closet World's prices and availability appealed to me. The designer was excellent and their customer service stayed on top of our phone calls. They called me after a month just to see if I needed anything. The installer took a little longer because he did both closets. If they had two people, the service would have been a little bit better.

I looked at a couple of different options and I liked Closet World’s the most. The designer was great. I had a chest of drawers, hanging shelves for clothing and shelving for shoes installed. But I found out that a couple of things were done wrong. They didn't secure some of the shelving, so it's causing everything to move. The rails where you hang clothes were falling up and down because the other end of the shelves wasn’t secure, so they're moving. And then, they used cheap materials for some of the drawers and they were falling.
The process of getting somebody out here was frustrating. They had to send me a form, I had to fill it out, send it with a check and then got a callback. It took months. The fact that I had to send a check before anybody came and then they didn't come for a long time was annoying. But then once the second guy came out, he was awesome and good. He fixed all the issues. It's been a great experience but it could have been better if they made a callback and got somebody out here faster.

I wanted locks and I told the original lady I talked to from Closet World. It was only $70 to put them in but I was charged for that when I originally told her I want them and it was supposed to be included in the estimate. Then, their lock wasn’t right, so they had to cut a part of the lock. The person who came out ground a little bit of the lock so it’s rough on that edge. It also wasn’t adjusted properly when they put the hole in. Also, the owner told me he cannot interfere with my conversation with the lady and he has no proof of it. We admit that business is about money but customer care is also important. I’ve been in business myself since 1989 and I don’t have that problem. I made a mistake and I won’t refer Closet World to anybody.

Closet World was a little bit cheaper than other companies and the closet looked okay in the end. However, their designer didn't do a good job. We have a security system in the closet and she didn't measure the things correctly, so I ended up with a big empty space over there that needed to be furnished but they didn't do it. She came to the following appointment and I thought that she was gonna do something about it but instead, she said that they will just leave it like this. Then when the guy came to install the Closet World closet, he ended up leaving me pieces of wood just in case I want to put more wood in there. He could have put something on top of the gray box and built more shelves in there. Though they did deduct $218 for that. But I had to do it because by the time they came, I moved my old closet rack and my clothes were on top of my bed.
I ended up calling a construction to remove my baseboard and retain the closet because the installer didn't fix it on the first time because it was on the way. For a month, I didn't have anything cause the designer did the wrong thing and then the guy came over and wanted to rip my carpet because of the wire on the way and then I said no. Also, I needed that big empty space for me to put purses or clothes. I ended up buying a lamp table and put it there alongside a big flower base with flowers in there so it doesn't look very empty. I wasn’t happy about that.
I was expecting more since I was paying a lot of money for that but I ended up expecting less. If I knew how to build closet things, I would not call Closet World or anybody else. The money was an option and I didn’t care about it. I cared about a good job. Overall, it was a really bad experience and a terrible mess. I will completely not recommend them.

Closet World sent out coupons in the mail for 50% off and so I called them to see if I could get some work done in the house. I ordered a couple of things from them. I had some garage cabinets and they installed it. I also had some garage flooring and had a little bit of trouble with it. Sometimes in the garage they have like cement curbs in California. So when one's gonna do garage flooring, they'd have to go up the curb and up the wall a little bit to let those curbs get done. The saleslady said they usually don’t go up the walls for the flooring but If I tell the installers, then they’ll do it, and that was a deal-breaker. When the installers came, they said that they can’t do that. I couldn’t cancel ‘cause they wouldn’t let me.
So then they had to install it and now I have an additional cost so we’re covering those curbs and going up the wall a little bit. I’m not happy with that. On the edges of the tiles, they have these little hook things that hook them together and he was gonna install it with the hooks all around the garage. I told him that it's gonna look totally ugly and I had to argue with them about that, too. I called the manager and told them then they agreed to cut those little hooks off so that way they’d be at least flush with the wall. I’m not gonna experience this a second time around because I’m not gonna go to them again for sure.

We have a $2-million home and we got this little pantry. Now the home is smaller, and we’re trying to make it better. My wife wanted a small closet and she was complaining about it, so I found this deal on Closet World and we had them install closets in the pantry and in the kitchen. The closets have a walnut color but are not real wood. The sales person at Closet World was a sweetheart. She's an older lady and a good people person. However, they committed a quote of $6,000 and then they got it done for $2,200. Where do they get these big numbers because it’s not real wood and how do they go from $6,000 to $2,000? A $6,000 closet have no interest to me and the closet is small. On the other hand, the installers did everything they were supposed to do. The only issue is that they could have painted the back wall because it got peeled off and they tore everything out, but instead, they ended up leaving. So except for that, we're happy with Closet world.

I had closets in the garage installed and the whole experience was pretty good. I made rough designs and was very specific. I knew exactly what I wanted and the Closet World designer implemented them. She was very professional and made things as pleasant as possible. She was courteous but always rushed. She had to come back three times because she ran out of time and had to make it to her next appointment but it was just a garage and I had my drawing so it all worked out.
The installer who came seemed very uninterested and low in energy. The garage was not completely empty and we tried to pile everything in the middle so that he could go around. And there were about four feet all around and a very open space in the driveway in the front where they can spread out their stuff. But the moment he walks in, he made a really big issue about it like the garage has to be emptied. At the end of the day, he worked but it took longer because he didn’t have a couple of things that he needed. The long weekend came and there were a few things lying in the backyard and it became inconvenient and unpleasant.
Also, the lady who took the order made some mistakes. The counter top for a workbench was not what I had specified. I had asked for sliding orders and she did not specify to them where they were, so they had to reinstall a couple of things. And then I had picked a color for the countertop, but it came as basic gray. So it went into a three-week project rather than a two-day project but they installed the counter top and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m very happy with it. They also installed the peg board in the back and the same installer came. It was a little crooked and when I pointed it out to him, he said, "Your wall is crooked" and just walked out and did not quite finish. It’s loose on one end and fine on the other. He said, “I need to talk to somebody.” I’m guessing nobody’s going to come back now after all the installation and payments have been done. I’m willing to compromise and let go but it was not a very nice thing to walk out and not follow up.

I was shopping around and I got estimates from two companies but they were so busy and they couldn’t deliver the closet for another two months. Closet World did it in three weeks that’s why I went with them. I called them and the rep came and helped me with the design and said she’ll take care of it. I liked the way that she did things. She did the measurements and it turned out very nice. We did only three walls and I told her we'll add another wall next time. But I’m not very happy with the whole thing.
I already talked to the lady and she told me that she’s going to talk to her boss and get back to me, but she never did. My budget was limited and we did everything as standard. It doesn't look good and the problem is that now it looks like a huge closet and it's not wide enough. The one that I had in my head was a little bit wider. One-third of my dresses stay out of the wood and do not fit inside the closet. I sent some pictures with the floor and how the dresses look. That time the rep told me we should have gone with the longer option. She also told me that they did that size because my budget was low and it would have been more expensive.
At that time of installation, I was happy because all the boxes and dresses were on the floor. They came, they did it and it was awesome. But now I look at it, I wish I took my time and saved little bit more money and did a better work. Because now, I’m not happy with what I have and I want to change it in the future. Other than that, the designer did a good job so that part has nothing to do with my experience with the end result.

And I even recommended her to our friends that just bought a home in our same neighborhood and they had her design their closet and ordered it through Closet World the other day, as well.
The same guy who installed the last two installations did it again this time and he was great and cleaned everything up. He's also knowledgeable and he made some concessions when I asked to have things move a little like higher or lower and was very nice and did it for me. The first time I worked with Closet World in 2015, I had three closets done and it was a horrible experience. The saleslady was very unprofessional and when it came time to get the work completed, the installer was late. Then it got later and later that I couldn’t reschedule anymore. I needed it done when they said they were gonna do it. On top of that, when they came to install, a couple of shelves didn’t even fit correctly, so I had to wait for them to bring new shelves. They also broke stuff which they just rigged together with L brackets.
Even so, I went back with them because they had all the credit set up. They also responded quickly and were the first one to come out. I told them what I experienced the previous time and I told them that I wanted better this time. But then the saleslady just showed up at my house because she forgot to fill out the correct papers. Although after that, my interaction with the designer was good. I told them what I needed and they came up with diagrams and helped me choose the correct layout. She put it together and I love what she did and we went for it.
There’s one thing that I’m absolutely not happy about, though. We had just painted the walls, put crown molding and we’re going to do base for it. When we got home, there was nothing in the closet, but when my husband went in the closet, he noticed on his side of the closet that there was a huge stain on the brand new paint that goes from where the shelves are. I would say two down, all the way down to the bottom. We tried to clean it but it will not clean off so unfortunately, we’re going to have to take it off and clean it. It’s very noticeable when you walk in and look to the right and it wasn't there before. That’s the only thing I would complain about. Other than that, everything else works great. The finished product is amazing and we’re so happy with it.
