I had Closet World install in a closet with no drawers or doors. It's all white and I've got four sections for hanging clothes. The designer did a good job. He took his time and made sure that I understood what I was getting. However, the installation went a little bit longer and much later in the day than I had anticipated. I also found some stickers with bar codes on them on almost every piece of material that they cut and placed in the unit. One of the guys took a cleaning solution to remove some of the marks that were made during the installation but I was surprised that he didn’t remove all the various labels that it had. So, I had to take those off myself. And they hadn’t really cleaned as there were some dirt left. Also, I wasn’t aware that they were going to remove as much molding around the closet that they did with the base floor molding. So, that’s going to cost me to have somebody come in and replace that.

I took advantage of the monthly payments and I've noticed online that the financing was done through Wells Fargo but unfortunately, I haven’t gotten any statements or any loan information from you guys. I called the designer and asked him about it. He said he was going to make a call and get back to me, but I haven’t heard back from him yet. With the basic model that I got for the $800 I paid for, I was a little bamboozled as it doesn’t seem like the perceived value. I wouldn't do it again with Closet World.

I chose Closet World because I thought they were cheaper. However, I got disappointed with the whole experience. Their designer came on Friday and we gave her the design and we thought we didn't like the design come Saturday and we wanted to make some changes to the design. She said we couldn't make changes to the design. So we said that we would cancel the contract if she did not let us make the design changes. So, she said, "Okay. We'll make the design changes." So, we made the design changes and everybody agreed and everything happened. We were then waiting for people to come and fix it. When they came, they came with the older design and they said, "Okay. Now, if you don't take the design then you have to wait another three to four weeks."

They said that they would pay us back some money and 5% discount just to take the older design. We were so pissed because we didn't like it. All-in-all, it was just 200 bucks and we were spending $2,000 to$4,000. That was the worst six weeks that I ever had. After spending so much money, it was super terrible. I would tell my friends not to go to Closet World. There are better places than that. We were going to give our contract for other closets to them but we decided to not even do this because we were not so happy.

I love the designer from Closet World. From the first time I met her, she was super sweet. She listened to everything I wanted and made sure that I was comfortable. There was a point in time when I was unsure about what the end product would look like, but she made me feel at ease. She kept in constant in contact with me to make sure that things were being done properly. Then, the installer showed up and said it would take two days, but he finished three projects in one day. He had to come back though because there were missing shelves. But he cleaned up afterwards and did a really good job.

We had a master closet, a bookshelf in our study, a locker mud room and a lounge area in our playroom which we get compliments all the time. Everything was great. Their end product was amazing as the design came out exactly like it was on the paper. They gave exactly what I wanted. The pricing was very reasonable and the people that I worked with were such a pleasure to deal with. I have recommended them.

My interactions with the Closet World designer was fine. It was about an hour and a half then we got it all drawn up and it was pretty easy. I had a closet and a pantry installed and that was very simple as well. It was kept very clean and organized and didn’t take too long. It has good quality and I would recommend Closet World.

Closet World was having a sale and although I got estimates elsewhere, I wasn’t too comfortable with the materials in some of them or they were too pricy. Some of them were comparable to Closet World's too. For the price, the materials Closet World used for my walk-in closet were good. The closet designer was also good but I was frustrated on the day of install. They couldn’t make it so we had to reschedule. But I think that was only because they pushed their installers too hard and booked too many jobs with them. They did not even let me know in advance so I was really upset with them. They were going to put me off another week and I said that was not doable. I had to follow up and get them to come when I needed them to come, which was the next day.

They were able to get the job done on the day that we rescheduled it and they did a very good job. But they were still rushed to get to another job. They had said they would come in and remove the existing stuff that was in my closet but I had a big shelf in there and they weren't going to take it down. I'm a girl and I was not going to be able to take that big closet shelf down. I needed them to do it. They told me they were rushed but I told them I didn't care. It was part of the job. Closet World shouldn't rush their guys to get the jobs done because that's when they can also make mistakes. Overall, the experience was good though and I would recommend them to friends. But I would also tell them to make sure their appointment stays on their appointment day.

i chose Closet World because of their fast response and their price is somewhat reasonable. Their designer was very nice but a bit incompetent. They came unprepared and didn't take the measurements correctly. Older homes usually shift. So, when you measure windows or walls, you have to take them a different sections of the wall because they're not going to be even. When they came to install the closet, they had to make adjustments because the walls were not even. The height that she measured, one location was different height than the other section of the wall. And had she been experiencing competence, she would have known that you had to take measurements from different sections of the wall to make sure you get the right measurements.

It also took forever to get them to install it. We paid half of the amount in advance and they took four months. We practically gave them an interest-free loan before they had the time to install it. And when they installed it, they forgot to do some things to get the weight so we had them come back and make some changes to it. Also, this is our second time using Closet World. They had installed some closets and cabinets in our garage and one of our bedrooms. Some of the hinges came loose and were falling apart. So, I'm not happy with that. We decided to give them another chance but we'll likely not try them again after this.

I had a clean white shelf, some drawers and bars installed by Closet World since they offered free installation. But for the price that I paid, I wouldn’t recommend them. The materials were cheap plywood and I probably could have done a better job through Home Depot for less money. But it's functional and I could live with it. And although the designer was great, the installers came super late. The job was supposed to be between 10:00 and 12:00 and they didn’t show up until 4:30. So, the job was not 100% completed and they had to come back to finish the two rods, as well as a belt and a tie rack that they had missed to install. A week later they came back and finished it up.

The customer service rep when I called to complain about the job not being completed was great. He added three more drawers that I felt was needed and didn’t charge me for that. I didn’t expect anything for free, but I appreciated the effort that they did. If a friend would ask me about Closet World though, I would tell them to buy the ClosetMaid unit and install it themselves. My brother did so and did an amazing job.

We had Closet World install our master bedroom closet and had some extra cabinets being designed and installed as well. My husband was home during the installation which he told me went really fast and that the guys were really fun to talk to. Everything was done correctly the first time and they ended up finishing ahead of schedule so that was a good surprise. I really like how all of our stuff turned out and everyone was so polite, professional and on time which I didn’t realize wasn’t a common thing till we started dealing with contractors for a house. I also appreciated that they spent extra time to run through all the details of the design to make it exactly how I wanted it. The designer was pleasant and I was impressed by all the details he spent designing on what would look good.

They had really an awesome financing deal they were promoting at that time and I was able to work a discount with one of the designer's manager. They were accommodating on the finances part so I went with them. Also, when I first called them to schedule the consultation, the process was really quick and easy to do. I'd tell my friends to go with Closet World.

They scheduled a time to come over to my house, did some measurements, helped design what we wanted, laid it out and gave me an estimate. However, the installation wasn't smooth. I had like a three-hour window when they said they were going to come and install and in the last hour of that window, they called and said that they wouldn't be able to make it because their installer was sick. I told them that was unacceptable and had the manager worked something out. He pulled some of his other installers over to do it and get it done late that afternoon. They were very good and got everything done as quickly as they could. I would tell my friends that Closet World mediocre customer service but decent product and price.

My experience with Closet World was not good. The pricing we felt was really high, given what we received. What we saw online and what we actually got were quite different. We're experienced consumers and we've been home flippers. We've been in 22 purchases and resale transactions, and with 22 years of marriage, we're not newbies at this. We were really shocked.

It began with a very wonderful sales person named Mimi. We really love her. In fact, we have become friends with her. She was outstanding but she didn't have a catalog provided by Closet World so we kept on having to wing it and go online and google images. When the people showed up on December 11 they didn't finish the job. One of the drawers wasn't cut or measured properly. It was like a four week-delay so we weren't able to put them away. We spent over $5,500 on the closet and kind of expected the job was going to be in, if it's not then they would come back and fix it.

The first meeting when we were asking the guy if he could finish caulking it he didn't do it because he needed to get home because of his kids. I get that because I'm a family guy but if he was on a job, he had to finish caulking it. The guy left so quickly and left all of his tools in our house. So then, when I asked them when they could come back and fix up the drawer, they said that the guy that did the install was on vacation so they have to do it next year. It was December 12th and they were saying the guy would come back mid-January. I don't want to have to wait a month because the one employee they want is on vacation. I want them to get my closet finished. To their credit they said they'd come end of December and so we went through that problem as well.

I told Closet World that the reason I wanted custom closets was that I was trying to get away from the round grommet where the screw goes into it, and then you twist the other thing that has about a circumference of a dime, and when you swivel it locks into place. To my horror, there are probably at least 30 to 40 of them all over our closet. My wife and I spent years on Home Depots, IKEA and Lowe's and getting those do it yourself kind of things and they have those. When I mentioned this to the installer he said that's the way they come and I kept trying to plead with them.

There is a side that you don't see the round grommet and there's a side that you do. And so if you're looking at the base of a wall-to-wall organizer, you would think that if it's an inch and half off the ground, you can slip the shelf upside down so the grommet is underneath and not on the top where you can see or decorate it. But they said they can't do it that way. I asked why and they said that it's because of gravity and the thing's gotta be on the bottom to hold it in place. I asked them why it was at the bottom and they said that's the way they locked them together.

If it's gravity and then they need to be on the bottom so it falls into place, then why is it everywhere in the shelf? They're on the top, the thing is upside down. That doesn't make sense. But then I looked at the very top of it, they're on top of the bottom. So basically, if someone went in and said their goal is to show as many of these grommets as much as they can, at the top you would think they'd be up high facing the ceiling so you wouldn't see them. However, they did it backwards.

We have these raised cabinets up in the ceiling, about 107 inches high, and underneath those, we now have16 grommets exposed and they said that there's nothing they can do on that. But then they put this big long board across the wall like a bean or stud that hold it in place. I asked why they did that and they said that's just the way it needs to support.

I called and spoke with the manager. The manager to his credit came out and stood about an hour with my wife and me. And that was nice. He agreed that they would put the board inside the cabinet so when they close, the support isn't showing. We specifically had this done customized because we have security cameras and DVRs and that's where flat panels go. And the board meant that we could no longer put our flat panels in there.

The manager said, "We have two types of things. We have closets and then we have entertainment or TAC which looked the same to the naked eye but it's built differently so that it's able to free floats on the wall without the wood beam." So I told them to do that and if they can hide the beam. I waited about three weeks. The guy came back. He was watching a little bit on that beam. I said, "Oh man, you don't know the history. I worked for weeks on this and they said, they're absolutely gonna move the beam." So then he kind of got hot with me and he said, "I've been doing this 28 or 30 years. I know what I'm doing and I'm gonna call the office." I just wanted them to do what they told me they would do. I wanted to make sure that it actually looked like wall-to-wall and not like my wife and I just went and got all these LEGO pieces and put all the building blocks together. We wanted them to look customized.

There were huge problems with the first install. Even the manager thought it wasn't going to work. It was with the wall and on the other side, it was about half inch to three quarter gap. When they finally agreed to rebuild everything after all of this back and forth, we pretty much had to start all over and when they finally showed up, the work they did was so bad. On the left side it was flush with the wall and on the right side it was a good half inch. And they had run about a stick of caulk. I spoke up and said that it doesn't really look that great. And now the caulking is actually separating from the wall a little bit and it just looks nasty. The guy also blamed our wall. He said our wall wasn't square.

The guy wanted me to sign off on everything. They billed my credit card the final 50% payment before they ever came back out to finish the job. I already paid them full weeks ago so I didn't have any leverage. They got a problem with quality, customer service, and the measurements. They got a redo, they got a problem with vacations and the sales person that we loved was let go and their manager gets into it with us. Moreover, we're not satisfied with the end job.

If you look at the closet, it looks nice. If you walk in, people are going to say that it is a nice closet. But as an owner, I made the decision to go because I wanted it totally tight with the walls and I don't want the grommets and I get both. I got this nasty caulking and with all the other promises he had. I'm just really regretful of our decision.

I saw Closet World on the internet when I was doing some comparison shopping. Closet World has better price and availability compared to the other two estimates I got -- I also talked to California Closets. I did three of our closets inside and then I did two full walls of cabinets in the garage. The designer we dealt with was great and she was the best part of it. She was pretty thorough and knowledgeable. There were a couple mixed ups when we first started about scheduling for a time for the rep to come and then she finally just called me directly, so that was great. The installation, however, was pretty terrible. They came and half of it was wrong. She had an error with regard to measuring it. The woman who came was the rep and so they had to rebuild everything. It put our construction on hold and then it was just one problem after another.

Everything ended up getting resolved. But they said they’re going to show up and then they didn’t show up one day. Then the next time they came, one of the doors was wrong and so they had to come back. When they were finally all done, one of the doors was warped, and so then that was another three weeks until they could make the door and have someone come up and install it, et cetera. The installation probably took at least four appointments, if not more. I also had purchased some extra shelves when they were coming to fix the closet door and then one of them was on the wrong side. But, overall, my husband took a couple of days off because I was traveling. It has delayed our construction which cost us more money. I would love to be able to use them again but I worry. Nevertheless, the installation crew was great, and they are super nice.

Closet World sucks. When you sign the contract with them, they don't give you a date of when they are going to do installation until you give them the check for half of the amount. I only found out about it when the designer came out. That was one shocker. The second one, it was when the guy showed up to do the installation. We purchased a shoe rack from them for my customer's master bedroom closet. My customer was busy on the phone in a meeting, so I told the installer, "Hey, just put everything inside that you are going to be working on. As soon as he gets off the phone, I can get your check." But he said, "If you don't give me a check with the rest of the amount, I will not put anything inside the house."

We spent two hours getting the truck. When my customer came out, I asked him for the rest of the money, and he was shocked at the same time. He was like, "That can't be possible." And I told him that Closet World is a one-time customer. The two installer guys spent two days. And instead of giving us a shoe rack, they gave us a bookshelf. My customer and I were like, "Hey, where's the shoe rack?" at the same time. And he looked at us and said, "Here it is." But it does not look like a shoe rack.

It's totally a bad experience. Somebody's got to go. It was kind of fishy when they ask you for the money before they give you the installation date and I thought that it was going to be it. Most people when they come in, they set up everything and, "We're finished. Let me show you what we did. What you asked for and this is what we delivered, and there you have it." But with them, "Can I get the final check?" Totally, it was a shocker. Unfortunately, the way they do business is not something they should be very proud of. And I definitely would not recommend them and I would never use them again. I'm very dissatisfied with them.

You could get almost the same material at Lowes but to get an installer that really knows and does it every day, you probably couldn't. I'm not confident enough to install closets properly so I picked Closet World. You could probably save a substantial amount of money if you did it yourself but I figured that it wouldn't be professionally installed. I used Closet World about 10 years ago and this time, I wanted to organize the garage and I knew that they did a good job. As long as they were extremely competitive on installing the shelving in the garage that are in question and the price was appropriate, I didn't have any reason not to go with them.

We had a chance to talk and show the designer what I needed, what the limitations were of the garage, and where I thought that they could fit. And as a result, she drew up a plan and measured everything. She stressed off a little bit on a couple of things but it's okay. The designer was extremely detailed in the design. I found out from her background is electrical engineering. When the closets were installed there were a couple of things that were off. They had to make some adjustments. They have a couple of other irregularities between the designer and the installers. The ones that they projected to put them in were too small.

I would, from time to time, sit down with the designers and the people that do the installation and talk to them about issues that come up.

I thought about putting up a little cover coat right above the cabinets and they weren't able to install that because of the way that it ended up. The shelving was 24 and the pieces of wood that I had were like 22 inches, so it'd be off.mBut overall installation went pretty smooth. It took them a little bit longer than what they planned to take but got it done in the same days.

We had two to three companies who came but Closet World kept calling us though we were not ready. They also had little difference in price compared with others. One guy was much cheaper but that was not the big company. And so, in a way, I had never used before any closet company, so since I needed to go with it, I felt that Closet World had much better rate. There were two ladies who came, and I wanted to go with the other lady who came the very first time. It had nothing to do with the lady, but then somebody else called and I told them that they already had contacted with the other lady. But I don’t know who called. She said it was the same thing but it really was not.

We had Closet World install 5 closets in the bedroom. Their designer was a very nice lady. But to me, it’s like how any salesperson would do it. She was very polite and everything was fine. But when the work was done, then bye-bye and that’s it. There were some issues with not doing a good job with the installers. So I contacted her and she followed up, but we got it done.

I wasn’t very pleased with the installation people. The first time they came, they did a good job. But I could get more out of people who are still human beings and they’re not animals. They can’t work more than 24 hours or eight hours or ten hours and expect them to finish five closets in one day. The second time the installers came, they ruined it. It was a different person or crew who came and spent a couple of hours. They said they did the job though they still had not done it. So I called and said I’m not paying for this job since it is not done. The third time around, the same guy who did the first time came. He spent a little bit time in doing it.

Overall I’m just very disappointed. It will be very hard for me to recommend somebody and go with Closet World. The problem is having a good rapport and relationship with the consumer, not just getting the job done. Why don’t they do the job right the first time. Why do the installers have to come back again. I don’t like that idea.

I had used Closet World a few years back and I had a good experience. Most recently, I had the same kind situation as last time with a shelving unit and hanger system, and this time it was on a walk-in closet. The designer was very friendly. She came to the house and I told her what I was looking for, and she threw in some ideas. It was an easier process this time since I knew what they had, and she also showed me that they had a new product available, coming in different colors. However, it was a little bit more than I expected in price. I'm budgeting on what I had done before, and they were able to bring the price down and work with me. The installer was in and out pretty fast and he checked everything, went over everything before he even did anything then had me go in and check everything to make sure that there wasn't any other damage. It was a great experience and I'd use them again.

There was a 50% off deal that Closet World were doing at the end of the year so I had them install a hallway closet with shelving. My interactions with their designer were positive and she was probably the best part of the whole experience. She was very friendly and came to the house, measured everything, and sent design options. I didn’t feel like she was trying to upsell me on anything and she just gave me options and she was easy to talk to.

On the other hand, the installation was not a positive experience. They were about an hour late and it looked like the materials were pre-measured. I remember the designer said that the installers were going to come and re-measure everything and it’ll be cut to size and they’ll custom do everything. So after installation, the one side of the shelving that you couldn’t move but normally for height purposes you would be able to take out the bottom shelf and make it a little higher or lower, you couldn't move the left side at all and then the right side was about three-eight seven inch too short. We actually had to reschedule and have someone come back out and fix it, which they did. My husband said the guy that came the second time was great. We had to wait another four weeks and it was frustrating. And the first time, they weren't there for 30 minutes, so they cut my baseboards which they didn't need to do, and didn’t adequately clean their mess.

Overall, I’m happy with most of my experience with Closet World. Although the drawer quality is very poor. I had originally asked for soft close and the designer just forgot to make a note on the invoice so I called her the first time the installers came and she said sorry and that she'll fix it. And that next time the installers came, they will include soft close. But something must have happen in communication because the second time they came out, they had no knowledge of the soft close. So I just sent an email in getting a refund at some point, just for the soft close.

We had Closet World install a garage cabinet and one of our smaller cabinets in our old house several years ago and in our new house, they installed master closet. We got some estimates from other closet companies wherein some were lower in price but with lower quality as well. We were desperate to get the closet done and wanted to compromise on the cost.

The cabinets done by Closet World were certainly better than the others. However, they messed up on the measurements and had to take everything back. The second time they came back, they installed the cabinet, but there were some doors that were damaged. The third time around, they came back again and replaced those cabinet doors. That was a pretty bad experience because we had to make three different appointments over the course of two months, so we got extended. I jokingly asked the manager if they were going to make up for the delay but there were no courtesy calls after that. If a friend would ask me about Closet World, I'd tell them not to fall for the 50% discount because the starting price is high and to just explore.

I used Closet World in the past and recently had cabinets installed in the garage and then three closets. The Closet World designer was excellent and very

helpful. And the level of her knowledge was great. There were a few items that they had to bring back but one follow-up did it. When we went in the closet I had a panel that had to be worked around and they were great about readjusting the measurements and with everything that I needed. I’m quite pleased and I would recommend. I just love the closet and it looks really nice.

My aunt had a really good experience with Closet World and the job was going to be done pretty quickly so I went with them. I had them install cabinets in my garage. The designer, Alice, seemed pretty knowledgeable, nice, and very easy to work with. But the installation was not a great experience. It took them three times to come out and to actually get everything installed properly.

The installers came out the first time and one of the cabinet sizes was off and they had to do a build-out and they didn’t know they had to do that. So they came back on Tuesday and the people that came back on Tuesday did not know basically that somebody was at my house last Friday, so they came completely unprepared. And they did not know that they had to do the build-out either. They built most of the cabinets and then they had to come back on Saturday and finish the job.

And then on top of it, one of the shelves was actually not there and they were supposed to mail me the shelf. I emailed Alice and she was supposed to get them to send me the shelf and I still haven't seen it yet. Also, their cost was a little expensive. They gave great discounts and my husband was hoping it was going to be a little cheaper than it actually was.

Closet World offered value with their price and bid against two other companies. We had a garage reorganization and it was an expensive job. We've put in together around 18 cabinets. It's from floor to ceiling cabinetry with upper and lower. We also did a water heater cabinetry and then, we did a water system cabinetry. So, they're covering about 90% of my available wall space in my garage. I have a three-car garage so it was a big job.

The interactions with the designer were very positive. The competitor also had a good designer, but the designer from Closet World knew her products, understood our concerns we would raise, listened to them, and then gave suggestions which we were able to discuss to find the right solution. Her experience helped us. The interaction between the designer and the installation team is where they need help. The installation team came out and the installation took about four days which is more than I had anticipated.

I would have liked to see the installation team do a better clean-up of the areas and also removing labels from the cabinetry and shelving. But with regards to installing the product and doing their job, they performed adequately. Now, they had to subsequently come back and finish some of the other work and there was a mix up here. They said, “We'll do your cabinetry and your water heater. Your water system, we'll come back and send somebody else to measure.”

The designer measured it. The day they were coming out to do the final work on this water system, the guy said he was not doing the water system and only delivering additional shelving that we had ordered. So, I've called the installation department. It took another week to get it. The installer came for the water system and he was very good. While he was there installing the water system, another Closet World truck showed up to do the water system. It seems that two orders were placed. They had a lot of challenges and they’ve had a really big sale, so they probably had a lot of work, but at the end, the installation was done correctly. It did have some manufacturing defects on some of the doors. I bought the top-of-the-line door, but I'm hoping that they will take care of it. They promised and they kept it.

I ordered some additional shelves but they were missing a part that goes around the front of the shelf. We asked them to replace that and the two doors. They promised that they will do it and hopefully, I'm going to hear back. We're still waiting for those because we think it's a manufacturer’s defect. When I spoke with them, I said, “Okay. So, now that you've installed everything, can I get a customer service department so that I can talk about what I think a manufacturing defect?” And he said, “No, you show the installers.” The installer took all the notes and we're waiting to hear back from them. Joe from their customer service department did call me but I haven’t heard back as to when they're going to replace those doors.

If anyone asks about Closet World I would say "first of all, make sure you got the right designer. Second of all, you need to talk to a couple of companies because each designer is different. And then, once you feel comfortable with the designer, that the designer has met your needs and you're reviewing the plans, make sure you really know what the plans with the installer at that." Follow through is also required.

Closet World was a big company and they have been around for a while so I figured they would do a good job. I had them install a shelf, some hanging space, and doors for a closet. Their designer was really nice and very friendly. She came over and did all the measurements. She seemed like she knew what she was talking about, so I went with what she told me would be best for my closet. However, what we received wasn't exactly what I was told I was going to get. So, I was trying to figure out about having it corrected or even just a refund. But their customer service said that they would gladly take the closet back, but they won't issue back a refund because I signed the contract. So, I was stuck with what I received.

The color was fine though. Also, they told us the closet was going to cover the vent and it didn’t. When mom asked the installer about that, he told her that it couldn’t be cornered off all the way so that the doors wouldn't get in the way with the hanging. The designer didn't really fully explain that to us and told us that it was going to be perfectly cornered off and it wasn't. There was also an issue with the backing. She made it seem that I didn't need any more suppose to because I have cedar already in my closet. But I didn't realize that it wasn't going to match the closet they were putting in so it didn't look complete. They also didn't corner off like she said they were going to. Bottomline, it wouldn't be great for others to go with Closet World. I'd tell them to do more research, check other places and ask more questions. In my case, the designer showed me a picture of a closet, and what I got was not what she showed me.

There were six rows of shelves for shoes, and then for the second closet I have more storage space shelving and then four areas to hang with the adjustable rods. Their designer was pleasant and timely. She seems to do her job very thoroughly, and it was just a smooth and easy going process. When I came home after the installation I noticed there was a like a small chip on one of the panels, and when I called I got another appointment and they came back out right away, fixed it and everything was good.

Then the guy they sent for installation was good and knew what he was talking about, probably more than the designer did, so they had to retake mine back. There was a little delay because they had to re-measure it, but he knew what he was doing. So, that was all good. Yet it would be nice if it could be a little faster from when I order it to when I get it since I'd want to see it when I had spent thousands. Other than that, it’s a great world with Closet World in it.

We reached out to Closet World and to Home Depot. Home Depot's prices were a little bit higher than what we were willing to pay. Plus, the guy that Home Depot sent over wasn't as informed and as skilled as the person from Closet World was. She was great. She did it old school, on a paper, and with a ruler, and it was really cool. Using a good old-fashioned paper and pen was really good because they gave her the ability to draw and sketch out what we really wanted versus get a computerized system that wouldn't let the guy from Home Dept work with the space that we wanted. He used an iPod, and he just couldn't get what we wanted into the system.

After she gave us an estimate and designed the plan, she was very sympathetic to the cause that we wanted, to keep costs a little bit minimal. She reached out to her manager several times. It was during Black Friday when we had it done, and he was able to give us a total of $600 off the original price that she had given us. I'm really happy about that. She was also really hands-on. She gave us a cellphone number. She replied to any questions or any comments on the day of delivery.

They sent one person over to build both closets, and he said he wasn't going to be able to finish the job in one day. When I called the designer, she assured me that he would, and they contacted someone. That person came to help the guy, and it was finished in a day. We were expecting a baby, so we wanted the baby's room to be done. We had custom shelving and wall hangings and stuff installed. We put up the board and hung it, and divided the space and stuff. We just wanted to get as organized as possible because with the baby coming, our closets were out of control. We told them that if we wanted to make it prettier down the line, we would call them and do it.

However, the person who came to install was not informed that we lived in a high-rise building. He came unprepared with dollies and tools to transport the material upstairs. Luckily, our building had a few dollies, so we borrowed one from them. It helped transport the boards and the wood and stuff up to the apartment. He needed some sort of transportational tool to help him move the boards back and forth. That would have made his experience and my experience a lot easier. But other than that, the overall experience was great. If I were to get another closet redone, I would definitely reach out to Closet World.

I've used Closet World before on my closet over 10 years ago. Before I chose Closet World I was going about looking for just a regular easy install from Home Depot’s or Lowe’s but it turned out the more I looked into it their price that it was much cheaper to go with Closet World. I like the 50% deal. That was probably the deal that I got and that’s why the price came out much cheaper than with just buying a regular closet.

I had Closet World install a closet at the the pantry, like an oversize closet all the way up to the ceiling. And then another separate closet, which we use as a pantry as well. I love the designer. She point out certain things, makes suggestions which would look better and she gave great suggestions, which I believe I didn’t get during the first time I had Closet World but this time I kind of know what I want. And she points out the pros and cons. She let me make the final decision.

There was one installer that came out and I thought it would be better to have two installers. It seems like the door itself was really big and heavy and he could’ve used a help. The first time he installed it one of the door was incorrect. They were unable to change it because they can't flip it. They have a design in the front of the door so they called it in and then they said that they're going to have to reorder it and then come back out and reinstall that door. Any little touch-up that I needed was done in the second one when they come back to reinstall the door correctly.

The Closet World designer who came out was awesome. We went over everything in detail. However, the installers screwed in some random screws into the door frame of my silhouette doors and left. So, the edges cracked at the bottom. They're not what they're supposed to be. Obviously, the doors themselves scratched across them, so the finishes come off. In addition to that, when I called and told them that something is wrong and I sent pictures in, the gentleman who handles those things said, “I understand. No problem. We'll have that fixed.” I had subsequently ordered the same closet doors for my second bedroom and he said, “When we bring those out to install them. We will fix that other one.”

Needless to say, the installer came out but he didn’t have the closet doors, and he knew nothing about fixing the threshold. They were out there adjusting the size of a shelf that was on me. That had nothing to do with their installation. But that’s why he came out. I had copies of the paperwork and they charged my credit card for the deposits. My designer called several times and talked to them. I sent long emails but nobody can find the orders. Things show pending but they don’t know what the situation is. They don’t know why it's not showing up in their system and they do not call back. I must have spent three hours on the phone trying to get somebody to tell me, “This is exactly what we're going to do and when we're going to come out.”

One day, they were supposed to come out, and they never even did. It's two small closets. I shudder to think because I have always used California Closets in the past. This is the first time I've used Closet World. This is my son’s townhome and the previous owners had used Closet World in one of their closets, so I went ahead and used them as well. I figured since they matched, they won't touch somebody else’s. However, the way they screwed in the threshold and the door jamb was awful. I've done over 15 closets over the years, big walk-in ones, not little tiny shelves, and I've never had this ever. The threshold is bronze, and the screws are like metal. They did them into the door jamb instead of into the floor. That’s where the doors hit when they close. They didn’t do it right.

I started with the silhouette doors in November because those take weeks to get in. Now, it's like we lost them. Then it showed pending and they charged my deposit for them. They have no idea what they are, and they don’t show up anywhere in any of their paperwork, nothing. I had the drawers but the depths of them were too big, so I paid to have them come out and make them short. That was at. At the same time, they were going to be doing the other closet doors and repairing the threshold. The installer knew nothing about that. He'd set up and just fix the drawers. Supposedly, they're going to be out on the 23rd to finish this up. I'm not entirely sure that they understand what they're out there doing.

I have envisioned them not having a whole threshold but them taking out the old screws and putting cement straight into the base, and leaving the one as is. I could be wrong but I don’t have clarification on how they're going to go about fixing it. They keep referring to the closet doors as mirrored. I realized that’s probably more common. Every single person I have talked to keep saying, “Your mirrored closets.” I keep saying they're not mirrored, they're a silhouette. You could imagine the alarm dogs going out. If this is the first thing everybody come to and I have to keep correcting them. Are they going to show up with mirrored doors? I talked to probably a total of 6 people, customer service, installation service, etc and none of them could do anything or understand.

To be honest, I was literally three hours away from calling American Express and disputing the charges because this is ridiculous. The guy called and said, “Well, we show you scheduled for the 23rd.” I was like, “All right. Do I wait and see if this comes through?” That is exactly at that point that I had just said, “Not happening.” I'd tell others to find another closet company.

Closet World is a very large company and I thought they would do good but I've been disappointed with them. Diane stayed in my house for a long time and she tried to draw the picture. She was very patient and she tried to help me get the job so even though I was not impressed at all, I gave her a try. The installer first worked on two sides of my garage. The next time, I drove home when I knew he was there and when I got there, he had just started the job. He tried to put the wall unit into the garage wall but I saw that the edge of that unit was chipped. I showed it to him but he told me not to worry and that after he cleans it and hangs the door, I won't know it's there. I wondered how that would work but I let it go. I thought it may be magic. It was not my job and he was working. I didn't want to hang around when he's working and I went back to work.

After I came back home, he was already done and he had left. I checked and the chip was there. When he hung the unit there and tried to add some all together, I could see the line between was not fully covered. But I let it go too. Then I tried to see if I can move my things in the garage but when I touched something, there was dirt and something black, like oil. Then I had to clean. One or two areas is okay. Sometimes their hand or the rack gets oily but it kept going on. He never cleaned for me and he left everything. I had to pull everything out and go clean every shelf. I was not happy with his service at all.

He also left four extra shelves and I tried to put those in but I couldn't because he didn't give us the wide bar in front. The shelves he made were very far in between and I wanted to get the smaller shelf but I could not use those shelves because some were covered and some were not. They should give their customer four extra shelves so we can use it. Otherwise, why would they give those to us for?

Closet World is too big and too far. When you have a problem, you have to call on the phone and nobody shows. I regret it and I should have called the local one. But he had come right after I decided on Closet World. I like that they're local though. When you need them, they're there and it's a lot easier. I should have used them to support the local as well. Plus, he knew more because they have a small company.

I had used Closet World about 15 years ago in my daughter’s room. We were doing a nursery and their budget line was a better price than others. We had some drawers and shelves and a hanging area. I’m an interior designer so I’m meticulous with the design and inches and the half inches. Their designer didn’t have the same knowledge of cabinetry that I have. So I would say that for the average person she was good.

The installation guy was great but the second guy who came when the other one was almost finish was not quite as good but he was adequate. One drawer had a chip in it. The top drawer wobbled when you pulled it out and push it in like it was going to come off the track. And there was dirt on the drawers, on the sides. There’s a strip of laminate around the edges of the outside of drawers in that area there.

When the package came it was all full of this black kind of particles around the edges of the drawers and it was wrapped in plastics and it was inside the plastic. I don’t know if that’s packing stuff they sprinkle on or what but it didn’t clean out of the groves. So they’re coming back out to replace the two drawers and to take a look at the debris and dirt in the drawer’s edges.

The only thing that was frustrating was the voicemail has not been set up for a salesperson or designer. It’s been several weeks that I was trying to get a hold of her through calling the main board because I couldn’t find a card. I couldn’t get a hold of her because the receptionist just said, “Well, I guess her voicemail isn’t set up yet.” And I just called it again because we have another closet that we wanted to do. And we called her about a week ago and it’s still wasn’t set up. If I had her cell number that’s fine. But it was the going to the main office. Also it would be nice if the salesperson really has a phase where the clients a few days after they installed, ask, "How did it go?" “Do you need any follow-up?” “Were you satisfied?” Because we didn’t know who to call for the problems that we were left with. It took us a while.

We’ve turned them over, but they’re still bowing. My Closet World sheets are too heavy for the shelves. We recently contacted Closet World and were told that there is a seven year warranty. Four shelves that are bowing in the closet are eligible to be replaced.

Closet World recently installed my China cabinet. I ordered the pants hanger as a center part to this three unit dish cabinet thing for my tablecloths, and it was going to work wonderfully. It said about 14 inches and that’s what our cabinets were. There was no question that this would not work and we were both very excited that I could have a hanging unit for my tablecloths again. When the installer, Felipe, had it installed, all of a sudden the door wouldn’t close on that particular cabinet. The hangers were 18 or 20 inches wide.

Mark came right there with us because he was very excited to see the finished result as he’d never done a China cabinet. It really is impressive because we were able to blend it in with the kitchen cabinets. The real disappointment was that Mark had always been under the impression that we could put this hanging rack in and Closet World doesn’t make a smaller hanger to accommodate the 14 inch cabinet. The problem was on the people approving this. The hanger size was not a part of the catalog that I had sitting in front of me. That was not advertised correctly. I would give my all to have that pants hanger in that cabinet, but I have no way of getting hangers that would work it. Had I known at the very onset that this isn’t going to work, I would have ordered whatever the next width was to accommodate the hangers for the bottom part of the cabinet. But other than that, everything else is perfect.

I've been using Closet World for a few years. Just recently, I had an organizer installed in my bedroom. It has a really good quality that's why I keep on using their company. I’ve been lucky to get the same designer come into my house. She's been working with Closet World for 20 years so she really knows her stuff and communicates very well. She knew exactly what I wanted and that was what I got. The installer was a nice gentleman as well. He was clean and neat. He didn't leave a mess and left everything properly done. I like Closet World's service and I would definitely recommend them.

We had used Closet World before on another job and we used them again recently. We had two designers, and both of them seemed to understand what we wanted to be done and they did exactly what we were looking for. We've had two organizers put in. One was a big organizer with drawers and shelves put in our master closet, and then we had another organizer with drawers, shelves, and hanging rack put in our laundry room. The installers did a really good job. I was really happy with how it looked when they were done.

Closet World's shelf was great. My wife dealt with the designer. She called me and she really liked her and then she just went like, “Okay. We need all of these. We need this many shelves...” And the designer was very accommodating. I even called her back like two days later because we needed to add two more shelves. Then she was like, “Oh, yeah. We could do that for you.” We recently bought a house and it was something that we needed done quickly. I didn’t call one other company because Closet World was well-established and it's been around a while so I kind of just trusted it.

They did our whole walk-in closet for our master bedroom. They also did a bunch of shelves and the designer did a good job. Nothing’s perfect but there was a couple little things that I would like to have fixed. I think it was the molding around the top that I wanted done and a couple other little areas that I wanted touched up. I looked around and said, “Hey, can you fix this, this?” They didn’t wait two weeks or three weeks to put the molding on. They came back the next day and they fixed everything.

And I remember I really wanted oil rubbed bronze stuff and it was like an extra $600 and some. I was like, “Whoa! That’s expensive," just to switch up to oil-rubbed bronze. They lowered it for me to like $400 and I just signed up with them right then and there. We're going to have a baby in April so we're thinking about doing the baby’s room closets. We were really happy with them so we're thinking about doing more work with them. The experience and the quality was good. I'm really happy and I would totally recommend them.

I thought that the Closet World ad said that they were in Huntington Beach, so I thought I was going with a local company. But now that I think about it, I don't know if they really were. Their rep came out in November to do the estimate for the two mirrored closet doors in my bedroom and a little shelf that I wanted done. She was very nice. Then we set up the appointment for the installation on December 5th, a Friday, since they were only open Monday through Friday.

The installers told me they were going to be here between 1:00 to 3:00. I took the day off from work and after sitting around all day, I got a call at 4 o'clock that Friday saying that they were behind schedule and that they couldn't come out. I was upset and I told them that was ridiculous. But they said there was nothing they could do about it. I had already taken everything out of my closet and I had to go all weekend with everything out of the closet. Plus, I had to take another day off work the following week.

When they finally came for the installation, the one who came out was not the one I spoke to who said they were behind schedule. The guy who came out was professional. He did a good job and cleaned up. But I wouldn't use them again. For the money I paid, I thought I was going to get a lot more of a difference inside the closet and it was not worth it. They were way overpriced and I was not happy with the experience.

I got a little flyer thing in the mail for Closet World then I looked at a bunch of reviews on it online and everyone seems pretty happy. Our designer left a catalog behind and said that she would pick it up the next day, which was kind of smart. I told her I didn't have a lot of time to spend with her the next day but that I would show the catalog to my husband. When she came, she stayed for an hour and a half and my husband and I both had to go. But she said she would make some phone calls and walk us through a better deal. She gave us the best price she could get us and we had to take it if we wanted that price. We got caught up in the moment and felt like, "Okay, it's fine whatever, let's just do it."

But in hindsight, it was kind of weird and it does not make sense. They send the same coupons all the time so I'm sure their "50% off," is not necessarily 50% off. I've had closets done before. We had one walk-in closet that we only had two sides done and we paid over $2,000 for it. I'm like, "There's no way that's $4,000 worth of melamine." I do sales for a living and I should have known better. At that time though, I was seven months pregnant so I just wanted to get it done. But I initially intended to get three different bids from people. My situation turned into this really quick thing though. It turned into a situation where we were suddenly locked into the deal. It was really kind of odd but it worked for the designer.

The other thing is we have some issues after the install and I had no idea and that the designer becomes completely hands off after you sign the paperwork. If you have any issues, you are at the mercy of their install team. I contacted the designer because I kept on staring at our entry system and something did not seem right with it. So I had my husband measure and he said it was not centered. The divider down the middle was off to the complete end. My husband measured everything and said that none of the measurements were correct based on the design.

The designer told me that she was out of the loop and had nothing to do with it anymore. I thought that was kind of odd since I spent so much money. She said I had to go to install and that if I have issues with install to just escalate it up to the VP. We called install and I talked to the install manager the first time. It took four phone calls and emails to finally get them to get back to us.

I remember the install guy asking me questions about the measurements and I told him that I had no idea and whatever was in the paperwork, it was what the designer and I designed. There were a bunch of things that got changed on that. We didn't have any issues with the closet install except for some reasons, they didn't run like a bottom shelf. And the way they ran it, it was kind of funky. We questioned them on that too. They will be coming back out next week to hopefully fix everything.

Overall, my experience backs my theory of getting three quotes and to make sure to have the designer in the loop. If you designed something with the person and the measurements are completely wrong, I don't know how the designer is still not be involved. But other than that, the closet is functional, it works and it looks nice.

The shelves were not touching the extension of the wall so you could see the side of the shelf. And it was not glued very nicely so it's not a very good finish. They put a sliding closet, a walk-in closet, shelving and a couple of drawers in fixed places where I could hang my longer clothes and hanging clothes. However, there as a little bit of miscommunication between us. There was one drawer that was supposed to be a jewelry drawer. It wasn’t the on the original paperwork, so I can’t blame anybody. We were floored because we had to get somebody in to refinish the walls. We didn’t know it was going to look so God-awful. People need to be aware what's going to happen when there are existing shelves in the closet but nobody gave us the heads up on that.

Closet World is still waiting to deliver some things that they got wrong in the order. They put it up, but there are a couple of things I’m not satisfied with. They have these little silver prongs that connect to the wall, and I can see them. They’re sticking out on the wall. It looks a little not professionally done. They said to put clothes in front of them so I won’t see them.

For $4,000, my impression is they’ll try to cover it up. I could have bought two pieces of high end furniture for that amount. This doesn’t look like completely high end to me. I’m not satisfied. If the prices were made clearer to me, I would feel more satisfied. The ad said 50% off that was why I called them. But when the designer did all the estimate, it was not clear. I didn’t have the cost of each individual items. So that was kind of misleading. I couldn’t figure it out, and I felt ripped off. I would have been better if she had said, “Here’s the cost and here’s your 50% off.” It was overwhelming when they first come out. They did a design and said, “You need this, you add this, take this away.” I didn’t know what she was talking about.

The wall basket doesn’t slide easily. When they installed it, the installer didn’t put it like the picture. So I called the designer, and she said to take a picture of it on my phone. I didn’t send it to her yet. I’m just going to leave it alone if it doesn’t look bad. It wasn’t what I chose but it still looks okay. Also, they didn't put the valet rod and the hamper basket. They put a wire basket and two rods that weren’t supposed to be in there. But the installer didn’t know what to do because it wasn’t spaced properly. I pulled out my receipt, and she wrote in there what I wanted. So they’re going to change it.

The installer wasn’t friendly. He was kind of nasty to me. When I told him I was supposed to get these other things, he said, “No, you’re not. You’re not going to get it.” And then he got mad at me because I said they didn’t make it like the picture. He was nice in the beginning and he knew what he was doing, but then he got a little irritable. He called me earlier in the week and said he put the order in but somebody cancelled it so he had to order it again. So the final stuff should be in by Friday. They’ll all come back and install it.

We came across some advertisements for Closet World when we moved here locally. The brochure included some sort of savings, so we started looking at pricing. We were happy originally with the quote and we ended up going with them. The designer came over and we talked about what we wanted to do. She took all the measurements and sat down and sketched out some of the ideas, the plan and what we wanted. They met what we were looking to do and we decided to go ahead and get the project scheduled all together.

We had two master bedroom closets done, as well as a pantry and a laundry room. The installation team was prompt and efficient. I appreciated that people showed up when they said they would and it wasn’t a four-hour-window-we might-stop-by type of thing. They came down multiple days because of the size and the number of rooms we were doing. They did a good job of communicating and cleaning up. The project was completed after two full days and they were able to take care of everything without any follow-ups, so we were happy overall. I would recommend Closet World for the quality I was expecting and for the price we paid. We've already done that a couple of times.

A few years ago, they got me a quote, and I ended up getting about four different estimates three years ago when I had that quote, and I had them come back and re-quote me. Closet World had given me the best at that time and they were willing to work with my budget to an extent. I called them and we negotiated them back to the price that they had given me three years ago, which I very much appreciate it. I had them replace the sliding doors on cupboard.

The designer was great. What was a little awkward was when she ended up calling the boss to get the number approved. She ended up putting me on loudspeaker so I could hear everything he was saying, which I wish she hadn't done that. But ultimately, I ended up hanging up a few times on them, just kind of work with me just on my budget, and from 1200 I got it down to 900, which was our original quote. I am going to get my other doors replace, hopefully by them. I was told that they would end up contacting me, and I'd negotiate the same type price, but they haven't called me yet. Nevertheless, I would recommend them.

Closet World's prices weren’t the best but they had a sale going on so I looked at them and gave them a call. During the first time I met with someone, I decided not to move forward with them because their prices were too expensive. During the second time, I saw that they had a special going on and I did not want to do the closet myself. I was too much work and I didn’t feel like doing it so I had them come back out and I decided to just move forward. We sat with the designer and she drew it out. I made suggestions of what I wanted because her first drawing was based on what she was trying to do to cut price. But I knew how I wanted my Master bedroom closet to be so we redrafted it and took away and added too.

My only concern is when people enter your home they have to be mindful of people’s floors. I did tell the Closet World people over the phone that they needed to bring some booties to put on over their shoes because I didn’t want that on my floor but they didn’t bring those. That kind of irritated me but they did have some little tarps in the car that they put down which worked fine. Also they dinged my wall right in the middle with a big gash so I had to have that repaired. But other than that they did good. They came back out because they didn’t do the little corner things that I wanted on the bottom. They were very responsive and they took care of everything quickly. Although it wasn’t all done that first day once I brought it to their attention they immediately took care of it.

Also, Closet World is one of the big closet companies out there and a well-known brand.

I wanted to change the spare room into a closet. I had a closet already in that room because it was originally a bedroom. The big challenge was to coordinate the already existing closet 'cause I didn't want to knock that closet out in case I needed to change the room back into a bedroom. Amy, the designer, came out and she did the whole closet design for me. She put all of my shoes into the already existing closet. And then from there, she designed things for my clothes. At that time, I liked a little island but she said that based on what she saw, I didn't have room for an island. I have too much crap so I called her back and told her that I do still need an island. She came up with a little design for my island which is coming today. Whenever I had questions, she returned my calls. I'm doing two other closets with them again so that tells how happy I am.

We got something in the mail from Closet World. They were offering 50% off for new homeowners which didn't end up being such a great deal. It was very expensive even with the 50% off so I don't know if they were just marking it up like crazy amounts. We did a closet system, a small office bedroom, and some shelving and hanging stuff on one side of a master a closet. The quality of their work is not terrible but it's nothing amazing for that kind of money.

We had all sorts of problems. The first one was in my husband's office where we had them put some drawer storage. The rep who came out had very limited English, had a thick accent, and was hard to understand. We were trying to explain exactly what we wanted because it was more of a closet drawer for an office as we didn't need a clothes storagethere, and she struggled to understand what we were wanting. She was here for three hours and it was super frustrating.

My husband was working from home that day so it disrupted his schedule. It also took up a lot of my time. But in the end, it clicked and the drawer was exactly what we were saying in the beginning. The guys who installed it were fast and good, too.

Then we needed some shelving in our master closet. There was already some shelving in there and we didn't want to mess that up. We wanted it to stay in place and we just wanted them to build under it to add in some shelves and hanging space. We kept going over that with the same gal trying to make it clear to her. When she came out, she measured in the beginning then she didn't come back. We were communicating by text, telephone and email, and she didn't always respond right away. So it took weeks to finalize and when we finally got there, I told her I wasn't sure with the measurements. But she assured me all the time that the order would be more than what we wanted.

When their guy came out, he did the job, but the closet didn't end up like I told her. They messed up our top shelf so we lost our top shelf that we wanted to keep the entire time. They cut our base too much and it was an inch too big, exactly what I told her, so now there's a gap. I tried getting back in touch with her saying it wasn't right but she said there was nothing she could do. I called customer service, talked briefly with their manager for the regional area, and he asked me to send pictures and follow up an email. I've done that twice but I've heard nothing back. I also couldn't get any follow up and I didn't want to sit on hold for hours trying to get to that point. Now we're trying to figure out what to do and we're contemplating on contacting our bank. For what we paid and for the grief we dealt with, we're not very happy with them.

Their installers left screws and debris on the floor, too, and didn't clean up after themselves. They also removed some things so we have to paint the wall again and we knew that was going to look ugly but it's way uglier and raw to leave it like that. So, lessons learned, we won't be using Closet World again and I don't think my husband's going to go for anything like it. We'll just get a handyman to build some shelves next time. In fact, we had a pantry that needed shelving and we did it ourselves. We did not use Closet World for that because we got burned and it cost us a fraction of what we paid them before.

Closet World was a larger company, and we've heard other people have had good experiences with them. They were at least competitively priced, too. The designer was very clear. She gave us a price breaks where she could, and the closet organizers were designed very effectively. The installation crew respected my demands. We had our second-floor kind of finished already. I asked them to put down some drop cloths and to take off their shoes. They did a pretty good job with that. They were cooperative and well-trained in what they were supposed to do. The project was finished up to the standards that were asked of them.

But the product itself and the materials that were utilized are probably under par. In general, they use MDF or particle board. We as builders understand that to be the lowest grade. However, it was something that the owner had chosen to move forward on so it was a little bit out of our control. But overall, Closet World is a great company. They're easy to work with, quick, and on time. It's a little bit pricier than we anticipated given the material cost, but from a service point of view, they're absolutely brilliant and perfect in that aspect. From service to installation to design, everything was fantastic.

Closet World was very expensive. I could have gotten a better deal for the walk-in closet. But the designer was very professional. I told her that I wanted the installation before Christmas so my family can see it. I also talked to a rep in Closet World about my request and I really begged that for two weeks, but they called me back after Christmas. I was really upset about delivery. I wished I got it sooner. But the installation was good and the guys were really professional. The closet is nice but some of my friends look at it and told me that I paid way too much for it.

Closet World did my bedroom closet and the one in another room. Their reps were very cordial, professional, and weren’t pushy. When they came out to the house, they worked out everything. I had two installations with them two separate times. The first time I wasn’t here and the second time, it was really quick. They were done in 30 minutes. Everything was okay and there were no follow up appointments needed.

However, when they did my first closet, they didn’t mention to me that the color of the particular wood used for the backing to the wall would not match the closet. Whereas in the pictures they showed me, everything was all matching up. So once they were done, it looked odd to me in a sense because the colors didn't match. I had the wood but I had a white wall in the back and I was thrown off by that. But when the second people came out, I knew about it and that issue was noted so everything matched. The second lady who was here also said that sometimes they don't always mention that to the customer because of the price.

Closet World answered the phone where the other people didn’t. Closet World's designer was fine. I said I'd pay 50% when they'd come and then I'd give her the other 50%. She said, “No, no. That’s not going to happen. That’s not good.” I was pissed off, so I just paid cash right then. She didn’t explain that by offering me credit which I thought I was getting from Closet World, she was opening a credit card account with my Wells Fargo account. I'm very annoyed because it affected my cycle score which is over 800, and I just have too many credit cards. They've already screwed up my credit and nothing can be done about that. But as far as the installation experience goes, Closet World did a fine job.

I did some research on the various closet installation companies and Closet World was the first to respond, to come out and offer me a package. I live in a condominium so, I went with the basic white pressed wood. I wanted the closets to be affordable. The designer was very good and she pushed hard to make a deal with the company to secure the contract which I was very impressed with.

The installers came out and without my knowledge they changed the design because there was a pull out hamper and it didn't work in the area that we originally planned on. They weren't able to complete the installation because they did not bring the hardware that was needed to install it in that different location. They came back out more than two times because the design of the pull out hamper was too heavy for the hardware. It kept breaking. A young man took over the problem and he handled it very well. He was very efficient and got it taken care of as soon as he could.

I had some issues with communicating with the company. When I first called to tell them that there was a problem with the installation, it took them a good 10 days before they were able to pass me over to somebody that took care of the problem. Once they did that, I had to make a couple of calls and after that they took care of it very fast. So, there was that interim of confusion with the person that apparently was supposed to take care of it wasn't there anymore and nobody realized that he had left that unattended. I don't think it was their fault entirely.

Closet World installed two master walk-ins with drawers and uppers but it was a rough and horrible experience. The sales lady from Closet World couldn’t clarify exactly what I wanted, was extremely pushy, and every time I met with her, she was saying that was the last day and I had to buy. I didn’t like that and I wouldn’t buy anything without my husband. She would also call me and text me and always tried to make a sale and didn’t speak English very well either.

But despite the salesperson, Closet World has the best price and good quality, and it was what I wanted so we decided to go with them. However, when the closet came, the handles on the drawers were gold but I ordered oil-rubbed bronze. I had to stop the installation because it was not what I wanted and I didn’t want to pay for it. I called the sales lady and told her that she saw my house, and we both knew that it wasn’t the color that I asked. It was a bummer that she was acting that way. I also talked to the manager a few times that day, and he said, “We will get you the right handles although that’s what you ordered.” When in fact it was not what I ordered.

After a lot of going back and forth with him, he did get me the right handles for no charge and when they installed the closet, they were fine. But the design wasn’t absolutely correct. One of my main purposes was I wanted to be able to have all my shoes on one wall but they gave only four shelves on that wall. I called the company and told them I needed more shelves. And the girl that I called said, “Well, they’re $46 a shelf.” And I said, “Good because I need 12 more and I’m not going to pay $46 each for my little shelf.” So, I ended up buying them from the container store and they were $12 each. It wasn’t a very good experience and I would never use Closet World again.

If I could give this company a minus -5 Stars I would. If you notice, I NEVER write bad reviews it is just not something I want to waste time doing. I usually only review places I really like. Well today, I am changing that. Closet World has been the Worst and I mean Worst vendor experience I have ever had and second is not even close! If you want to stop reading now and just move on I understand, just never use this company!

Where do I start? No customer service what so ever. Once you sign the contract, they treat you like dirt! Today will be the 4 attempt to install my master closet. It all started with the salesperson who did not measure correctly and sold me a design that was not even remotely going to fit the dimensions of my closet. I found this out only on the first attempt in EARLY NOVEMBER, which I had to take work off from work and wait 5 hours as the installer was late. Then comes the realization that no one cares in this company what the customer experience is and if you want to cancel after realizing what nightmares are in store for you, forget it! Only way is go see Judge Judy.

I live in the customer service industry, this company needs from top/down a SOP protocol review, revamp, and people need to be fired. The rep said she had no power to help and disappears after the contract was signed. They forced me to deal with a very rude head of installation who did not care about my concerns, but just forcing the bad design and contract down my throat. His department displayed no synergy of information between the sales rep and his department and did not seem to care at all of the inconvenience this was causing. More importantly they have no idea how to resolve design conflicts, how to keep the customer abreast of issues/timing and you would think most important, how to make the customer HAPPY!!!

Two more attempts and much more time and energy from myself and my wife and still no apology, no attempting to make it right with offers of discounts or anything. Even the installers stated this was the worse install job he has been a part of in the more than decade and a half working for closet world. No apologies, no trying to make it right! I hope that today will be the end of this nightmare. I really do not want to waste any more of my time especially on this review other than to warn all potential customers to steer very clear from this toxic company.

We've used Closet World before for some other work and we thought the work was good. They were a good match for the new project which was a bedroom closet. We put in a lot of extra shelves to add storage space. We worked with a different designer, and it was very easy to deal with her. She was very professional. She had good ideas to match our needs and what we wanted. The installation was better this time around than last time. It went very smoothly. It took them about 2 hours and I thought it would take at least twice as long as it did. They were very efficient and they vacuumed everything up. We're very pleased with the designer and the installers.

When I hired a contractor to do some work in my house, they used Closet World for a closet. This last time, we had two cabinets with a desk and some drawers installed in a spare room. It was like an office set-up. The designer was knowledgeable, nice and polite. The installation was fine and relatively easy. But I wish I had known about running some wires before the installation was finished. They were out in the middle of the floor. I would rather have them ran behind the cabinets and there were tapes stuck on the bottom of one of the desks and there were small blemishes on some of the stuff. Besides those, Closet World got the job done.

I called Closet World to replace the closets they put in years ago. I had them rebuild all my closets again because my house was flooded and they were all ruined. I had them do small tweaks here and there but it was pretty much the exact thing. The designer was prompt and she answered her phone when I called, and she called or texted when I asked her a question. She came out and spent whatever amount of time she needed to get everything drawn up. Then the installers came and did what was designed. It all seemed to be correct although we were missing a couple of drawer rails. But they came back as soon as they came in, and put those in.

There was a lot of miscommunication and problems with the order and pricing once it got away from the designer and into the company. There were a lot of hassles and follow-ups that I had to do. It took quite a while and they were very delayed. They were about three weeks off from when they said they were going to be able to install it. We waited a couple of weeks for the pricing to be approved because the one lady went on vacation, and then the manager guy lost the paperwork on his desk. The office seems to run a little disheveled but the designer and installers that came out to the house were great.

I was going to redo my closet next year because there were some other things I wanted to do this year, but all my clothes were on the floor, so it was a mess. I was talking about my closet disaster and one of my friends in my knitting group started talking about her Closet World system. She said she loved it so much that when she moved, she took it down and took it with her because the new owner did not want it. It was a great recommendation and I went for it. I called Closet World and Home Depot, and Closet World was the first one that called me back.

The rep made an appointment, came right out to my place, and spent at least a couple of hours measuring and going over my options. I told her what I wanted and she came out with a design and we finagled it a little bit because she was putting a shelf unit in the back wall in the middle and then two long hanging areas on each side which work great, but I told her the bottom shelves are not going to be used because I can’t get down there with my arthritis. I asked if we could make them as drawers and she made two nice, big drawers. They are terrific and I have got lots of hanging space. The place is pack-full of more clothes, along with some storage items and shoes, and I am still trying to shove a few more things in there. I am very happy with my system and with the way everything went.

We had a couple of delays wherein I got sick and had to delay the work and then the installer got sick. I was glad to see him when he finally got here and he did a fantastic job. He was very friendly and professional. He made sure that he cut the boards on the porch and that my doors were shut. He cleaned up after himself, including whatever sawdust was there. The rep was great and she gave me a good deal, which is a no-interest for a year. Closet World gave me lots of time to change my mind and that's one of the reasons I went ahead with the project. They were very on top of things and I have been telling everybody about them.

Their designer came out on a very short notice but she was able to put together a good deal for us so we were happy with that. Also, they had a good idea to not have the cabinet go all the way down to the ground which I would not have thought of myself. That was a clever idea. The only problem we had was that they had worked out on us getting a cedar strip to cover up some of the closets that they tore out but the first crew forgot to bring it. I had to schedule an additional time for a secondary tech to come out and install that. But, they did a really nice job.

We had a really bad experience with Closet World and I'm not recommending them to anyone now. We worked with them in our previous homes and loved the work that they did, so we had them over again. The previous closet was a very small closet and this closet that we have in our new house is more like a room so it is a big closet. The work that needed to be done was more but they messed it up. The designer gave us a quote but she did not include everything that was supposed to be included. Then the guys that came in was very disrespectful. They just kept doing the wrong thing and they made holes in the walls that were not supposed to be there. One of them even filed a claim where they’re supposed to pay for the repairs but we haven't heard back from them.

What we have is a basic closet but we were supposed to have the signature closets. They used really low-grade material although we signed up for an upgraded material. I told them it was not the right material and we didn't sign up for this. He kept working and said, "You know, I have to get paid by the end of the day, so I have to do it.” I told him that I'm going to talk to his manager, and maybe then they can figure it out. He said, "No, I'm just going to do it." They pulled our previous closet out without drilling it out so they made holes in the wall. It was so bad but we were really nice to them. We kept negotiating and working with them so that they could come back and do it again one day. But they just said that we have to pay more. So, we are paying $3,000 more than the original quote to get what we were promised in the first place.

The process has been more than a month now. I recommended Closet World to everyone before and this is the first time I've had this experience. We've had tons of calls, then the Closet World guys came in twice, and they're coming for final installation next week. The experience wasn't great but I hope they do a great job and have the closet finished finally.

My experience with Closet World wasn’t great. Nancy, the designer from Closet World, did the garage and she was redoing measurements. I had a closet that I did with her back in 2016 and she did everything great. It was a promotion going for 50% off but I had to put things on hold because my grandfather wasn’t feeling good and he was in hospice. She asked me if I was ready to do my closet and I said I wasn't since people were coming in and out and the timing wasn't good. She gave me the price for my closet and told me that I pay the deposit down to keep an appointment whenever I want and the price would still remain.

A year went by and another designer, Lucio, called me and asked me if they want to set an appointment to do my closet. He came and took measurements. We went by promotion to panels but I didn’t know how small they were. My closet was huge and it’s wide. We had the design and he gave us the price and the financing, too. I put a deposit down and the balance for my design that I had 2016 that I had couldn't be used on the account because it was a new contract. They could only reimburse me which was okay with me. I waited for someone to reimburse but time went by and there was no communication. Lucio said that I speak to Martin, the man that was in charge of that. And so I spoke to him and he said not to worry and they would figure it out.

Time went by and still, there was no phone call. I tried to get ahold of Martin and they told me he was on vacation. After that, they didn’t want to do it. They said it went to the new closet and I said that that was my design and my closet and this was a whole different thing going on and the person I spoke to said that they would see what they could do. I spoke to a supervisor named Greg and he said that they could not reimburse me. I told him my situation and he said that they couldn't do it for me and it was going to the next closet that I redesigned with my designer.

He gave me an attitude and he said, "Gosh, this is awful". I told him that he had no sympathy or courtesy. I could undo my closet then and I was doing my closet again. I told him that there was lack of communication and I know that the customers should be right. I told him that I would not be referring anyone to them because of the way I was treated and he said, "Are you done? Are you done?" I told him that that was totally fine and said goodbye. After that, with all that commotion in the mail comes after the closets done, they reimbursed me.

In addition, we have holes in our closets. My sister lifted the shelving and turned it upside down because she was taking it to make it wider. She noticed there was a hole in the panel which we both did not see when they first put it in there. I just barely noticed that my closets were dented which we paid for. I understand that it's not perfect but the quality wasn't good and work was sloppy. On the other hand, the installer was really courteous, sweet and cleaned his mess. It was like his first time working because he wasn’t so sure what to do.

I didn't bother going back to them because I didn't want to do anything with them anymore. It would take forever and they would make a big deal. So we'd leave it as it is. Nancy came back and I told her about my experience about the garage. She was sorry for what I went through and said she would do a right job for me. I told her that the house belongs to my grandfather's brothers and sisters and that there are kids. When they want to study, they're going to see what was done in the house. The closet is nice but they could have replaced it because it’s not right to hide something and then just leave. My mother paid too much for what was put in there.

The people that I spoke to on the phone with Closet World were rude and I got a runaround from them. They were the ones representing the company and they were supposed to show that since what would make me want to refer other people to them would be how well they were and how they did a great job. On the other hand, Nancy is a good designer, courteous and compassionate. I would recommend only her because she’s been very great and understanding. I hope that the next people that they'll give me would be more compassionate, courteous or have a sense of heart and people whom I could work and communicate with.

I have never in my life been treated so poorly by such inept people at Closet World. I'm 56 years old and I'm in customer service. It's what I do every day. But these people don't care. All they're good at is saying I'm sorry and it's so meaningless. I hired them to do a job and they charged me a lot of money. It was supposed to be done on the 3rd of November, it was our agreement, but it still isn't completed. I have 20 nails coming through the outside of my finished wall, anchor screws through the wall. And they have been out here eight times. They never return phone calls, they are always late, and they've had two times kept me and my wife. No call, no show.

And I have been dealing with a man who is supposedly a district manager for installations at Closet World in Los Angeles. His name is Roman and he's so careless, he doesn't mind letting me know he can care less. The only person to ever show up on time was the closet designer and I explained to her that I needed it done by Friday. She said it's no problem. A guy is going to come in and it's going to take one day to install the closet. So the guy shows up over an hour late. No call. My wife had to miss work because we didn't know when they're going to be here.

He did one of the rooms very horribly. I got screws sticking through the one side of the wall. He told me that someone measured it wrong and he can't install the closet in one room. He then called his supervisor, a man named Marcus. After that, he did another closet, so we're getting two done. When he seemed to be getting ready to leave, and leave everything hanging, I demanded that it needed to be done. He then told me he would call Marcus again and for a while, he was with someone else. He then said that Marcus is going to call me that night. But I never heard from him.

The guy who came out the first time never put down anything to protect my brand-new carpet. He left a huge mess all over where he drilled and hammered. Screws are all over the floor. He never cleaned after he was done and never said anything, like we're going to come back. Closet World then sent another guy out, but he doesn't have the stuff to do it either. And then the third guy came out, after I had to call and call, and call, and got hold of Roman. This third guy improvised, but he didn't have the stuff as well. He just did shoddy work, like they're trying to fix it as they go. But the stuff I'm complaining about is still not done.

Finally, I got Roman to come out. I showed him everything, and I told him that they have utterly failed, and also damaged my walls. I even showed him the nails poking through the wall in the other room. He then said that it's my fault, that my closets are so thin, and there's nothing to anchor to. I shot back and said that I thought I hired a professional closet installer. I also asked why it wasn't discussed on the day it was sold to me. In the end, he just told me to get a contractor to fix it and then send him the bill. All in all, it was a no call, no show for Roman after I talked to him. So I have reached out to Better Business Bureau, as well as Wells Fargo to make a complaint with their program. If you saw what they did, and how shoddy their work is. And then, to charge this enormous price is just sickening.

I had a really bad experience with Closet World recently. They did some work for a home that I used to own and they did a beautiful job there. Then I called them to my new home that I moved in about 10 years ago to do a closet that had fell. A lady came out to take measurements and she was really, really nice. She had set them in, but for some reason they weren't measured right so she came back out and remeasured them a second time and for some reason, it was off again.

My husband is a pastor and we wanted our closet done before the first Sunday so he could participate in communion. And since he couldn't get to his suits, we just left things there. The people who came out to do my closet told us that we had to get everything, which was fine. So we started getting our stuff and packed it. It was all in the bathroom and stacked on top of other stuff. Unfortunately, the guys who came out to do my closet on the day that they had promised did a closet before coming to my house. I was looking for them early that morning and I even had to call several times to see what was taking them so long. They told me they would be there at 4:00, but when they did, they couldn't do the job because they didn't have the stuff for my closet on their truck.

I wouldn't recommend Closet World to anybody. They wanted me to pay upfront, which I didn't have a problem with since I knew I had to pay the remaining of the balance. There was some guy in the office that these guys were communicating with, and they were talking in Spanish, which we thought they should not have been doing because they were talking English at first. It was very, very, very unprofessional. They started talking in Spanish, and we felt that they were talking about us. The guy told us that he couldn't do the closet and that they were going to leave. So my husband got really upset and he called his lawyer. He talked to his lawyer and told him he could pursue it, unless he just wanted to forget about it. So we just left it alone, but we will never have Closet World coming into our home again.

We are repeat customers of Closet World. Their designer, Mike, knew about their products. The installers were prompt. Although, I was concerned with the cedar-lined closet they installed. There were three identical covers but they decided to install the cedar panel with the one that had an electrical outlet at the back of the wall. It was the designer’s fault because that’s where he told them to put it. So, they completely cut the cedar-lining to fit the electrical outlet in and that totally defeats the purpose of having a cedar closet to keep insects and rodents out. The installers came out yesterday and fixed it. They also put in a cedar-lining in the cabinet next to it as a courtesy.

There had been a little bit of an issue with the communication since I worked with Mike and Harry who schedules the installations. The actual two men installed the cabinets but when they left the first time they did the installation, they forgot to bring the two drawers that we ordered. I called immediately to tell Closet World not to charge me until I get delivery of the drawers. I even called to follow up because we still haven’t received the drawer then left a message to Harry and Mike but they charged my account the very same day. The amount was $3,300 and I got charged twice. I called them back and they were a little reluctant to reverse the charges. From the issues we’ve had, it’s better to double-check everything when working with Closet World.

We liked what Closet World’s initial design was. They also had an offer that is like an ATM and same as cash which was attractive. We had 11 drawers plus a see-through metal basket. We also put in an armoire with doors completely closed with glass inserts. Some of our upper shelving have doors with glass. We went all the way to the ceiling and put crown molding and a kick plate on there. We had some double hanging and some single hanging shelving as well as shelving behind the door. These were all installed in the master bedroom.

Caroline, the designer, did a good job explaining their products. She brought a little sample case of what the actual material was. But, there were a few things I found out that were available that she didn’t tell me about. She didn’t tell us also that there was an upgrade option on the drawer guides I didn’t like. I found that out later through Craig and got them. Caroline would also tell me to call her for any problems but she referred me to someone else every time I called. I thought that once she had the sale she really wasn’t that interested in whether or not I was happy with what was going on. There was always a delay in her getting back to me so I finally stopped calling and dealing with her.

The crew who installed the closet were very hardworking men and spent a lot of attention to detail to make sure it was right. The older gentleman who was the lead guy did a remarkable job and was very meticulous. I was so lucky to have him but he only could work with what Closet World gave him. The closet was supposed to be installed the first part of October. We were delayed six weeks in getting the closet. They called to tell us that they would come early but didn’t happen so Craig made a third appointment. However, they didn’t have the ironing board and it will be done later this week. Finally, the crew had to tear the closet out and started bringing parts. They said the colors were mixed up right. Closet World had the two-tone closet and had it reversed. I told the installers not to cut it because it’s wrong and we had to reorder the parts that took weeks.

I called Craig and told him that something wasn’t right and the closet was not what we ordered. They were holding back and he offered me a $500 discount to accept it as is. I laughed since that closet was not the money we’re spending. Craig called back and offered me $1,000 off. I still refused. There was a section of the closet that we have clear boxes for our shoes and Caroline put it in the plan as 12 inches although she measured everything and we need a 16-inch shelf for this shelving. Craig said that was no problem and he can fix it. It was $130 upgrade to make it bigger but I felt that a company would have offered a discount on what we paid.

We waited long and had many mistakes plus I had a company coming so I need a phone call by Friday telling me that every single thing is here and it will be done when they get here between Tuesday or Wednesday. Craig called me Friday assuring me everything was there, however, I was very disappointed on Tuesday to find out it really wasn’t all there. All in all, I like the product and I love having the closet done more than I thought I would but I wouldn’t recommend Closet World to anybody with all their delays.

The closets were supposed to be wall to wall but the measurements were taken section by section. If they had been taking wall to wall, the measurements would have been done a little better. But it came out nice and I was totally satisfied with the initial installation. I had double racks, tall single racks, and a shoe wall. The designer was nice, very pleasant and accommodating. But Closet World should have a better process as far as the measurements go and there should be a more precise way on the computer, where you should see the sample as opposed to the draft drawing or pictures that the consultant has to go by.

The installers showed up on time and were professional. They did what they were supposed to do and came back when they were supposed to come back, and completed whatever it was that they didn't have at the initial time of the installation. They did an excellent job with the measurements that they were given. The overall installation took nearly half a day and we were satisfied. We had a follow-up appointment because they didn't have the proper crown molding in their truck. So they came back the following week and installed it. Then we cancelled the backing that we were going to get, and ended up looking better without it. It would have looked cheap with the actual backing that we required in the beginning, and Closet World refunded us the money we paid for it.

Closet World installed a night-type quality white laminate closet in the master bedroom. It had a matte detailing on it and they also chose some crown moldings so it dressed it up and it looked pretty. Their designer was a gem. She had a high level of knowledge and was very skilled, and we loved her. And the installation was perfect. Their installer was on time, knowledgeable, personable, got the work done and went ahead of schedule. He did everything all by himself and did a great job. However, I ordered a drawer and there was a mishap so he came back and set it up. I had a fun and exciting experience and the closet turned out not only beautiful but also organized. I love it and would highly recommend it.

I wanted a pantry shelf where I could put my canned goods and stuff. The people at Closet World are very nice but they are very disorganized. They keep making mistakes after mistakes. They do not have a united system and they are not into detail. Even when the installer was making the measurements, I didn't see him writing it down anywhere. How can he remember the measurements which could explain why it was not ordered properly. They admitted they had the wrong measurement and they fixed it. There must be someone in charge of a protocol. If there's a mistake, they can immediately turn in the paper.

The first time the installer came, he said that it was late and he was tired. The second time, the guy said that he switched his truck and his stuff was in the truck so, he won't be able to install it. Then, they came again and instead of drawers, they had flat shelves. If I pull the drawer out, everything will fall out of it. I showed them the picture and I said that I simply wanted just like my neighbor's. The manager said that it was wrongly made and to blame it on the one who made it. They then said they will properly make it. I’ve been e-mailing and calling him. It’s been over a week now and they haven’t sent anyone to fix it. I went with a more expensive company to install the pantry shelf rather than having a handyman do it.

Also, I spent several thousand dollars so that I would not have stress associated with it. I had already paid my contractor and he was going to install whatever I buy. The designer had a design flaw where I could not access my pre-existing shelves that were above it. She made a sale and then when I wanted to talk to the manager to correct something she did, she was nowhere to be found and she wouldn't return my text. I felt like it's just about making the sale.

When they came to me, they said they would have to charge me more to correct the mistake and I was furious. How do I know that they don’t purposely do it wrong so they can charge the customer later? It was ethically wrong. They should be refunding me for the number of days I’ve had to miss work and how many times they came late and canceled the same day. There was one time when I was waiting at 10 o’clock and they said they canceled it because the guy didn’t turn in the measurement so, they never made it.

I emailed Andrew asking when it will be installed. I have everything in email and their confirmations for when the people were supposed to come. I would ask the manager to send me an e-mail because I got canceled on or people would come so late and waste so many of my days that I would require of them to send me an e-mail confirmation and they would send me the e-mail confirmation but still they would either not show up or show up late. All this time, they came late for their appointments.

I was wanting to recommend them because my sister is redoing all of her closets and she’s doing several bedrooms. I’m very forgiving if they make up for it to make customers happy but they haven’t really done that and I still don’t have it delivered. It’s been five times that they tried to install it and we are still not there yet. I will not use them again. On the other hand, there was one thing that they accommodated me on with the designer. I needed to move one of the units somewhere else and they said they would include an extra piece without charge.

A friend said that Closet World does good work. It was a good deal. We were able to take advantage of a holiday discount and we also asked for promotionals. We had them install a closet in all the bedrooms, as well as in the hallway. The designer did well too. She went through everything that we needed to and gave us the options. She did the design and then we went back and forth on it until we decided on a design that will work for us. We had a limited space and what we got was what we managed to work with. Now that we’re using it for a couple of weeks, it seems to be working for us. It was one guy that came to work on our closets. He came on time and finished all closets in four and a half hours. However, I did not know that there is a dispensing fee of $50 until I asked the guy to take away the pile of junk on my driveway. They should have notified us of the fee. But, it was a good experience overall. I’d recommend them.

I have been looking into Closet World before. I finally made the call and had them come out and give us an estimate. I had a closet installed by them. The designer was great and very helpful. She came out, did what she said she was going to do, and did her plans. She emailed us as well making sure that everything went fine and kept us up-to-date on the process. It was quick. The installers came out and did excellent work. One thing that could have been improved though was letting us know what time they were going to be here. I actually had to call the day before around 6:00 to find out when they were going to come. But other than that, everything went great. They came and were done within a couple of hours.

I’m perfectly satisfied with the two cabinets and the cabinet without doors but with the cabinet that was wedged into a smaller space, I am not satisfied. I called Closet World on that right away. The designer had designed it exactly to the open I mentioned, which was not very efficient for the installers. They needed a little wiggle room when they had a pre-assembled cabinet that they were loading up, and there wasn't enough space for them to do that. It chewed up my walls a bit, and the fiberboard of the cabinet got chewed out. For some reason, they were like gouges in that and I was not happy with that because it compromised the ability to carry the weight and it exposed all that fiberboard to the moisture. We live right by the waters so we have to deal with the moisture, and that was the whole reason I went with new cabinets. The old ones had morphed.

I called right away and customer service was awesome. They sent another crew over with another cabinet to replace the ones that have been disfigured, and they explained to me that there's no way that that type of cabinet could work. It took another week and a half or so and they resized the project, and we all agreed to it so they made good on it. I was not happy with the first installers because I gave them every opportunity to tell me if they had any problems. My walls were gouged and the floor coving was ripped so I asked them if they would glue it back together. All they told me was it was up there putting it in. It wasn't until they left when I got down on my hands and knees, and I was sweeping out the extra dust that had been left when I saw the gouging out on the bottom. I was so disappointed that they hadn't told me about that. I would've understood if they told me and then we would have known what we were dealing with.

One other thing, the original problem does not lie with the designer who listened to what I wanted, which was a cabinet to fit that space and measured it exactly to fit that space. That was a real disconnect between what was desired and what was possible. The two arms of this industry need to work better together because the customer can be educated but a disappointed customer takes really far in the wrong direction. They rectified it and they made good on it though, and I'm satisfied.

Closet World had 40 percent off, free installation and delivery so I gave them a call. I had some cabinets put in my garage. The Closet World designer was a great guy. He’s an elderly guy who's been doing it for quite a few years. He was so precise and I knew exactly what it was going to look like and exactly what the cost was going to be. He gave me advice and suggestions. It was perfect and I was very pleased with that. The installers were fine. They were right on time and stuck to their job. They showed me how to change the shelves afterwards. But then once they left, I noticed that two of the doors didn't close evenly. One was about an eighth of an inch jutted out from the other one so I called the service right away and said that ’m sure it’s just an adjustment and there’s where the trouble began.

Nothing has happened. I called the salesperson and the designer back, and I was up to nine calls of, “Oh, this guy is going to call me back.” He hasn’t and tomorrow would be a month. The only person who has done anything at all is my designer. He has done as much as he can and said it was referred to upper-level management. That was about a week ago and I’ve heard nothing. I’m also happy with the cabinet although it needed minor adjustments. The experience is ruining a perfect Christmas and I can’t refer anybody to them because what if it was something bigger? It also made me question how long the warranty lasts. I also can’t even get anybody out there in a day or two after it’s been installed. But when they come out, I’m sure it will be fine and I’ll be happy.

My friend told me that she had a good experience with Closet World so I got them to do my garage cabinets, drawers and sliding doors. However, the installation was a nightmare. First of all, I had four meetings with the woman that they sent and after each meeting, I never got all the information I needed. She had to keep coming back and she was very nice and patient but I don’t think she had experience or she didn’t know what she was doing. I’m really busy, so that was hard for me, but I was patient because I wanted to see this through. And then, the nightmare began. She kept telling me installation would take one day, but when the installer showed up he told me that there was no way that it was a one day job. I had plans to have people empty the garage and put things back in a certain timeframe, so I had to rearrange that, which was really hard.

Also, the installers immediately said that they could not do the cabinets with the way they were cut. The initial salesperson did not take into account that I had large beams in the ceiling and so they didn’t cut the cabinets for that. There were also electrical outlets that I had to tell the woman, “How are we going to address those?” I had to help her and then they had to recut some cabinets and rework the plan. That took another day and then the installer’s manager promised me that it would be done by the following day, and the following day they didn’t show up until 4:00. So of course it wasn’t completed. They had to come back, and every time they tell me they were coming, they never came at that time. They came much later in the afternoon, and they didn’t bring the right handles and so they had to come back a few times.

I could see from what was happening that Closet World kept calling the installers on the other jobs. Closet World really works the installers crazy hard, and I felt like as soon as the sale was done and Closet World had my money it was over. I went through their Whittier store. I called their company and spoke with the vice president and he had an attitude with me. My impression was once I paid and signed their paperwork, they could care less how it happened. If people are having the experience I’m having, the only thing that is saving the company are the installers. Whoever my installers were, they were amazing. They were hard working, had great attitude and they knew what they were doing. Without them I would have lost my mind.

If anybody ever asks me, I would tell them that I went to Closet World but I would tell them how horrible the experience was, which is a shame. I tried to work with them. They’re making too many commitments because they’re more concerned about making the sale. They’re not being realistic about how long it does take to install something and so they’re misleading the customer. Also, the woman they sent me was not at all qualified to measure anything in there. Whoever does training did not train her. They’ll eventually lose customers because it can’t possibly work this way. I like the cabinets and the installers, but not everything else.

My closet had fallen down and I was desperate to have it fixed. I was having trouble getting closet companies to call me back and set an appointment and I ended up with Closet World. I have a walk-in closet with four walls and they built two of the walls. My experience with the sales lady was good initially but towards the end, she didn't have time to meet with me and I felt like I was tricked and misled in what I was going to be getting. I wanted to have a closet done before my husband got home and she told me she'd call a designer or the builder. She then set something up.

After a week went by, I called her back nad it was then that we played phone tag. She called me at 9:00 at night, I had to get up for work at 1:30 in the morning. When we finally got in touch, she told me she got in touch with the builder, but she had not heard anything back. I told her that before she had to get in touch with a builder, she had to come and re-measure the closet since it was measured incorrectly the first time.

Instead of re-measuring the first time she was here, she said she'd just have the designer or somebody come in and do it. Nobody showed up though. In the end, we got the work done, a day or two after my original date to have it done. And a day or two before the installation, the sales lady came over and I asked her if I should patch the holes in the wall before the closets were built and she said there was going to be paneling over the holes. I thought of the old paneling in houses in the 1970s or 80s so I thought that my walls were going to be covered.

After the builder did the first wall, I told him that the sales lady told me that I was going to have paneling but I still saw the holes in my walls. I asked about the stuff that went on the back, But he told me that my paperwork stated that I didn't have it and he showed it to me. I texted the sales lady and she said that I had paneling that was buildout on the closet. She then said she was with a client and would call me back but I didn't get that callback. The builder though was very nice and professional and it took him all day to work on the closets. He didn't take a lunch or a break and he was as in and out for as he could have been. But in the end, I paid for the closets and it is what it is.

Closet World also trapped me in the refund policy. I had three days to cancel and the sales lady was supposed to call me on the third or fourth day but she never showed up or called. By the time she did, I couldn't cancel 'cause it was too late. So it had been a horrible experience and I'm not going to call Closet World for my other two walls. They could have a better communication or help the customer better understand what it is exactly being paid for. They didn't have a price list and the sales lady made it up as she went. I would have liked to see a hard copy of a price list because I think I overpaid for what was done. I feel duped.

She wanted me to be happy. The installers were super tough at over anything but they were pleasant too and they did their job well. And I love the master bedroom closet that they installed for me. Although, I might need to have one drawer replaced because the finish was a little bit marred. But it’s just a blemish, it’s nothing bad.

The only thing I noticed was that it took me a long time to get them installed. By the time I placed my order, I had to wait about three weeks out and then I was going away so we had to make it further out yet. I booked it mid-October and I got it installed on the 19th of November. We were gone for two weeks. I asked if we could have it done before we leave but they couldn’t. It was made while we were gone. So, we had to wait another week later. They were really booked up. That was my only bummer, but it was worth the wait. The closet is beautiful and it was a very good experience, overall.

We told the designer how to do things and multiple times she was messing up the price. But, she was really flexible and she was trying to make it work for us so that part was really great. The installer who came was great and he did everything as required. He had to remeasure and readjust things because the designer didn't do the measurement correctly and the work he has done was great.

However, the color that we got was not the one that we chose and the material they used were already old. We had spoken to one of the supervisors and he tried to do some adjustments. He said that he'll place better doorknobs and he'll add shelves but I would have appreciated it if an extra door was done because it was a $6,000 installation but it looked like cheap wood and looked like a $2000 stuff. I really felt sad about that. I'm happy that the supervisor came down and talked with my husband about my husband's feedback but when someone is unsatisfied and you have really bad quality, try to make up for it by giving better things, not trying to be cheaper or doing it cheaper with the rest.

Also, the other company gave a more expensive estimate than what Closet World offered. The designer came and she was good and patient in answering all the questions. But she needs to be more careful about the measurements. She took basic measurements from the front of the space but that wall is a little bit curved and not perfectly straight so that really caused the problems later on when they came to install.

The installation team came when they said they would come and did the work without bothering me too much. The top and bottom measurements weren't the same so the parts didn’t fit perfectly. They had to order the new parts and it delayed the project almost a month. Because of the delays, they gave me free upgrades. Then once the right parts came, they repaired and nothing was done after that.

I had three projects with Closet World. Two projects was in one day and that was in my master’s suite bathroom and my daughter’s walk-in closet. And then the other design was supposed to be for our hallway closet for linens, towels, blankets and extra stuff. Their installer came by and forgot to bring and install some stuff. He said he wasn’t aware of it so someone had to come back just for that. Also when he was installing a part of the shelf he ended up making extra, unnecessary holes. And the vinyl wall where we put the closet in does not have a typical drywall paint but a Venetian Plaster paint so it looked ugly because it's very noticeable and it’s the first thing you can see.

With the second design the designer said that there was going to be some shelves. But when the installer came and I asked him about those shelves he said there were none on his work order so he didn’t bring any extra. My wife was supposed to call to reschedule for them to come out and bring them. They also didn’t do the upper crown molding on it. So we're still missing shelves and the crown molding on our second design.

But the second time the installer came to put the second design he did bring that extra rack and he installed that but he couldn’t do anything about the holes. That’s something that obviously they won't take care of. The only thing I wanted was for them to bring those shelves and bring the crown molding. Those things are already paid for.

During the installation, the installers were very nice, answered questions that I had and were looking out for my best interests on what things I did and didn’t want. They installed cabinets, shelves and closets for us and those products were very sturdy. When one of the racks fell off, they came back immediately and fixed it. But because I rent, I hope that I can take the things with me when I move, put them in my new place, and with me having to pay up parts, Closet World would be able to put them together so I wouldn’t have to have someone else take it apart and do it. I contacted two companies to get quotes on getting a closet. Closet World was one of them and they sent out a rep in a timely manner. She got there and she came in with a little care of surprise. I was expecting the convo to take one hour. I worked from home that day, but I just let my people know that I was going to be unavailable for that one hour. She was in my home for three hours. It took a long time and she made some odd comments and sat on my bed which was weird.

I told the rep what we wanted out of their service. I was open and interested in her ideas. But ultimately, my husband needed to see and sign up on whatever we agreed to because it was going to be his closet and she was good with that. I asked her some questions about the design and functionality of the closet and she said, "Oh, well, when I send it to the design team or the installation team, they'll measure all that out and figure it out." They will tell us if there is any problem. I was like, "Okay. Well, I really don't understand how that's going to work, but we'll just go through the motions." We got to the end, she had the plans, and she priced down. She called the manager and see if they can take an additional percentage off or ask about certain parts.

There were things that I asked her about and she said she didn't have them. Then, I would I find them in the magazine and I would dig into the page, encircling them. She was like, "Oh, we do have that," which I thought was weird because I feel I did a lot of the work. I didn't feel confident that she knew what she was selling and what the options were. Then, she wrote up the price and I needed all that. My husband came home later and we reviewed it. I went over the cost and everything. Then, she said, "Oh, I need to drop off new plans on Sunday." It was Labor Day and it was an odd day. I was, "Okay. I'm dog-sitting a dog and I'm waiting on the woman to come pick them up." She said, "I'll just put them in the mailbox." She came by.

I didn't review the plans with her in person, but a whole bunch of stuff was taken away. I still have the text conversations and I haven't gotten rid of them. I texted her as I went and said that I'm losing several things and why isn't the price changing. She's like, "Oh, you know, we'll deal with that. The prices are going to change because of XYZ." I said, "Well, that doesn't make any sense. You're literally taking hardware away from me. The price should come down. You literally have a sheet where you're twelve shelves at this much equals this much so if I'm only getting ten, it's only logical..." She said, "We'll deal with it."

If we didn't write a check by a certain time, we were going to lose that price because an offer was going away. We wrote a check with a date on it and she was going to come over and pick up the check. I called her and I was like, "Hey, where are you? I've been here since you were suppose to be here and you haven't came by." And she said, "Oh, I actually am in a training up in some other part of the state so I'm not going to be able to get the check. I'd get it tomorrow." I was like, "Okay. That's fine." We started losing confidence.

The plans had highlighter on them and it's supposed to be carbon copy. I'm like, "What did you submit?" Then, we flipped it over and the plans had been sliced together, like someone took a razor blade. There was scotch tape on the back and I turned them in to Closet World. I turned them in to the new consultant. I said, "What are we getting?" I texted her, which would have been the third business day, which means that we should have been able to get out of our clock. All we were going to do is request a new person. We weren't trying to be like, "Oh, we want to go with somebody else or do something totally different." We have no idea what is actually going to be installed on the installation day.

We went up through the chain, not to her direct manager. We went above that, the one that oversees all of the consultants. We had a horrendous experience with him. He was never in the office and he would say, "I will return your call back 6:00 pm." I would wait outside of the manager places so that I would not miss his call. He would not call me back and I left him numerous messages.

I am not resorting to calling his cell phone but I'm not going away. They have $4,000 of mine as a deposit and I have nothing to show for it. I gave him full timelines and I gave him copies of text conversations. Then, it was like, "Oh, he's been out for a week for training." I'm like, "The person that picks up your main line just told me that you were back in office on Thursday and now, you're out for another week for training?" He's finally calling back and he said, "Look, I'm just going to refund you your money." I was like, "Okay. That's fine." And he said, "But I want you to talk to her manager."

The manager called me and she just said, "I understand that this was handled completely incorrectly." She's like, "There's actually other clients that she's dealt with that there's some complaints. She's no longer with the company. We have some that's totally great. Would you be willing to give them a chance? They've been with the company for this long. They are one of our top sellers." I was like, "Yes, that's fine." I was like, "What are we going to do about the money?" She was like, "Let's have you meet with the consultant. If you're willing to work with them, we'll deal with the money. We'll either give you the check back or we'll take off money off of your final or maybe it will come out to be pretty similar."

She sent this woman over who was fantastic. She draws it exactly as we want it. The price is less, which should have been. She explained how the corners will come together, where there was going to be open space or there wasn't going to be open space. She did an amazing job. They ended up keeping my deposit check and I wrote a very small check upon installation to pay the difference.

I felt good about all that. Then, there was one thing missing. Like in the plans, we had paid for and written in that the top central was going to be lockable. We just didn't get the lock on the drawer. They're coming January 3rd and they offered to come earlier, but it's too close to Christmas. They picked the date and gave me a time. In my opinion, everything is resolved. But there was a month, where I was calling this guy, three times a week; sometimes two times a day, towards the ending. Between the manager, Mary and the original consultant, it was literally like a terrible experience. The manager above Mary was great. He gave options and I had decision-making abilities.

The installation guy was great and super nice. He did a fantastic job and I was super happy with it. The closet wasn't installed until early November. Part of that is just the lead time for installation. But the majority of that was been in limbo just trying to get this guy on the phone and get resolution and basically get him to take all the information from her and from me and say, "Okay. This isn't adding up." They definitely didn't offer me anything for this terrible experience. They wouldn't take an additional 10% off. It would have been nice if they had.

All of my neighbors have these types of closets for storage in their garage instead of just open shelves. It looks so neat. I have a two-car garage, so I got some storage done by Closet World along the long side of the wall and some on the back wall higher. I had a huge basement in my house in Pennsylvania, so the closets in the garage took the place of having all the storage in the basement. It has white doors, white finish inside for easier cleaning and it is neat-looking instead of just having open shelves. I shut all my Christmas stuff in there and extra storage space for suitcases, garden supplies, and garden tools. It was more than adequate to hold everything that I needed and my daughter is jealous.

Also, there was a 40% off coupon which was a big incentive. In addition, the designer and the installers were great. The guys that came were very thorough and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the service all the way around and I would recommend them.

We had a really good designer from Closet World. She came to our house a couple of times and she was very accommodating with our design and the decisions we were trying to make. She guided us through that so we stopped our search for other closet companies there mostly because of her input and the time invested. We had them install an entertainment center and the installation was a bit shaky. They brought the doors for it and they forgot a piece so they came back the following week with that piece so it took about a week and a half to finish the installation after getting the parts and making the appointment and we didn't like that.

The customer service beyond the designer wasn’t as good and we also had issues with the manager. My husband, who is a lot more diplomatic and patient than I am, tried talking to him and even that didn't work out. But, what really saved it was the designer. We ended up going back through her to troubleshoot some of the issues and she really went above and beyond and she took care of it even though her part was finished. We had ordered a certain colored door but they brought one having the wrong color the first time. And then, the second time they brought the wrong color again but they were trying to convince us that it was the right color even though we were sending the manager pictures of what was in our house. It was a lot of back and forth. That part was very difficult and very frustrating and that was definitely a bad experience so we went back through our designer and had her take care of it and she did.

In the end, they came back and they installed the right one and they installed it properly. The second installers who came were a lot more professional and more competent too because initially, the doors were installed crooked and the first installer was trying to say that it was our floor that was uneven even though the doors had nothing to do with the floor because the doors were installed higher on the unit itself. Their designer represented the company well because we weren’t happy with the process but in the end, it looked good. We're happy with that and we might do another project for our other room through them but we're hoping it will go a lot smoother than it was the first time.

Their designer was okay and she was really nice but it took her too long to design everything. She also did one measurement incorrectly so the installers had to come out a second time and that part was not good. The installation and the quality were good but when I was rescheduling for them to come the second time, they kept calling and trying to push me to have them come at an earlier time so that the installers could get off work earlier in the day. Mike, the sales rep from Closet World, came to our house and explained everything to us. We liked that he spent so much time for it and that he highlighted the pros and cons of their product. His level of knowledge was very good and was one of the things that made us go with Closet World. Also, when we looked up their product online, it was exactly what we were looking for.

We had our garage redone, took down the cabinets that were there and put in smaller cabinets with shelves. They installed everything directly but there was one small hiccup. Our water filtration system went unnoticed as one of the standalone single cabinets was being put up. The water filtration system box opens to the right, not to the front, so, we could not open it as the cabinet blocked it. But as soon as we reported it, somebody came over to fix it. Overall, my experience with Closet World was all positive. However, the contract price included moldings that would be installed but we decided that we’d not be installing them, and we haven't received the price adjustment for that.

My parents had used Closet World 20 years ago. Their price was competitive as well so we felt comfortable. Marlyn, the designer, came to my condo and she gave me some ideas. She came back, we finalized it and got everything going. It was very simple and straightforward. She tried her best she can to get us a good deal because she knew I was on a budget which was really good. I had them install a small walk-in closet, a small closet, a large closet and various shelves, hangers, and drawers.

I was a little concerned with the installation because Closet World's reps gave me a time range. And then, the installers showed up two hours after. It was not the installers' fault because they had a project to deal with and I understand that, but it was a little disappointing when I called in and they couldn't really give me an answer. So I was kind of stuck waiting in limbo a little bit. But besides that, everything was good. The two installers were very friendly and when I had questions, they answered them. Everything was done right then and there. And they told me how long it would take, finished within the time frame and cleaned up like they said they would. I would definitely recommend Closet World and I would also tell other people that if they wait for a week or two before the installation, they might be able to get a better deal, but they should also be prepared for the installers to be late.

I put out the clothes and stuff, and my husband said we could just paint it on the back side. Also, I didn't like the drawer and the depth of the rack. It was more on the drawer side and less on the hanging side. I wanted the same side but we didn't understand each other when we were discussing the design. In addition, I got them in my other house before and the price now for this closet was a little on the higher side but the expectation was more than what I got. Closet World installed in the garage, on one wall and a workbench, on an entire wall in the dining room, and a lower cabinet in the office. I had multiple appointments with their saleslady and she was pleasant and courteous. She also did a pantry cabinet in the kitchen on top of all the others. The installers were also good, except when the dining room cabinet was first brought in, the shelves weren't big enough. They brought the wrong shelves and the second time they brought it, they had the wrong countertop on it. It was orange and it was supposed to be a brown.

So finally on the third time, they got the top and the shelves right but there was supposed to be a backing which they didn’t have. They only got it right by the third time so I was a little concerned about that. Then they also gouged the wall and I have a brand-new home, so I was a little concerned about a couple of big dents. But I spoke to their installation head and he said to go ahead, have it fixed and send him the receipt which I did and which he should have by now so I hope they promptly refund that.

Initially, I was attracted to Closet World's 40% discount but it turned out to be not really a discount. My neighbors told me about this other company that they used that did not have a 40% discount but even with the Closet World's 40% discount, that company's built-in was less money. I've looked at it too and they did a very nice job. My neighbor and I both felt that Closet World's prices were raised and then discounted so I'm little disappointed in that. I was going to do an upper cabinet but now I’m debating whether to go with Closet World or this other company.

She was able to come out immediately when I requested a consultation and she understood how important it was for me to maximize the whole space of what we were going to be getting because of having a little house. She worked with us on the design and had suggestions. When it came down to cost, she was very attentive to that too. We did a hall closet and in two bedrooms, the master and a secondary bedroom, we added shelving, drawers and double overhang closet rods.

They sent one guy for the whole job and he was outstanding but they could have probably sent another guy with him. We were consistently told the job was only going to be a couple of hours but the poor guy was here the night before Thanksgiving from 2:30 to 8:30. Though Closet World saleslady was very nice, I wish that I had understood a little bit more about how the setup would be. I wouldn’t like it to be a little bit taller, and unfortunately, when they came out to install it and say it would be an 84 even though that was on the drawing and just sitting down on me, I was trying to get it switched. They were not helpful at all in trying to assist with making it tall because I didn’t know that it was going to be placed on the floor. I thought maybe it was going to be attached to the wall so that way I could move the structure up or down and once they installed it, it will be fixed on the wall. I did not understand that the floor was going to be the support. I didn’t ask the right questions though, and that was my fault.

Also, I had called the salesperson to find out if we can just to have additional panels to put shoes, instead of the bar to hang our clothes and how much would it cost to just have the shelves put in instead. She said she can do it but they’re going to charge $100 just to send that out. I didn’t mind paying but it’s ridiculous to charge $100 with three pieces of wood that would probably weigh a maximum of 10 pounds. They came out, looked at it and offered a respectable repair rate which only covered the labor. However, when they scheduled the first time, the guy was a no-show. I had been waiting for it and I wasn’t happy about that. When they finally did the repair, they left a bunch of sunflower seeds all over the floor of my garage so I called them and complained about that.

They also forgot that they were supposed to replace another countertop. They originally looked at it but they didn’t do it when they were doing the door. They had to come out again to do that and I had to schedule again which was horrible. But they came out, did what they needed to do, it's all back in order, and I’m happy about that. Also, Closet World's product does organize and the compressed board has proven to me that it doesn’t completely hang up. So, I wouldn’t detour somebody from utilizing them.

We looked around and we’ve seen other closets that other people got elsewhere, and we're very happy with the walk-in master closet that Closet World have done for us. We hired them after we researched in the internet and they gave us the best quote among the three estimates that we got. Their designer was also very influential in our decision. She was very informative and said that they were unique as they make each person a custom design, which is what we needed for our average sized space. She was also very experienced and had been with Closet World for many years. Plus, she knew exactly what we needed. We had gone a totally different route compare to what we had designed in our heads and what we had drawn on paper prior to meeting other designers.

She saw everything we had and said we didn’t have what the normal Californian and San Diegan has. My husband has a big amount of clothes and we have a lot of stuff. Because of the weight, we had wired racks that were ripping off from the wall even though they were screwed on by a professional. She assured me that Closet World's racks would hold a decent amount of weight so that won't happen. It's been a month and we have had no problem. We did the custom shelving with three-tier shelving in certain areas of the master closet and it went all the way up to the ceiling. Most companies would leave about three feet open above, however, we wanted to utilize every inch of that space. We also added two walls of shelves and about twenty feet of hanging space. The designer measured my husband’s shirt and gave a lot of advice about certain things for myself.

After I had the designer come in and we booked everything, I looked at their reviews on ConsumerAffairs. I got a few bad reviews, but other than that, they were all great. I should have done before but I have no complaints. The installer who came out was very informative, clean, efficient and punctual. He explained everything before doing anything and he would ask if I was okay with what he did every step of the way. So that was also very reassuring. He was quick and finished in three hours. Plus, since I was there alone, he was very helpful in taking everything out. I also didn’t have time to tell him about the prior racks that we had in the home, but he took care of that. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Closet World. We're very pleased and satisfied with the work they did. We have also recommended a few family members and friends to them, and my mom got hers installed this past week.

I got two estimates but ended up with Closet World installing a walk-in closet in my hallway and a couple of cabinets in my garage. Matthew was my designer and he was a very nice guy. We discussed the options, got to a conclusion, he made drawings and it was very smooth. The installation was perfect too. Two guys came and asked me where to do the work. I showed them the place and they did what had to be done. They even kind of went the extra mile because the work did not go smoothly but they found a solution. They mounted the closet and it was a good experience. I would recommend Closet World.

The house we bought had a room with an office, but there was nothing in it. So, I went out and shopped for bookcases, desk, file cabinets, printer stand, and a place to put my shredder. After I saw how much work it was going to be for me to find all that, and then when I found it, to sort through all the prices and then put it all together myself, I thought, I would just check and see how much it would cost to have someone else do all that for me.

The Closet World designer was great. Since I home-school, I really had a good idea of what I needed so I can visualize and measure just a little bit of what I could fit in that room. Then, she talked to me about what their options were. I explained to her that I didn’t need anything fancy, I needed more function than actual looks. Although, I didn’t want it to look hodgepodge and just thrown together. So she went over with me with their basics and then she showed me what other options I had if I wanted something nicer. I told her that I was fine with basics for the purposes of what I needed the room for.

And so she measured to make sure everything I wanted would fit and that they had everything even though it was not as customized as I thought it would be. They had set sizes for different things and so, I have about five or six inches where the bookcases go up to a corner. But, that worked out fine too because I have some things, like my son’s artwork, which I can’t put anywhere, but they fit in that little corner. Additionally, the guys who came in and did the installation were very knowledgeable about what they were doing.

The designer was concerned about what I’d originally wanted because of where the electrical outlets were on the wall. I understood her concerns about the way I originally wanted it because of where the outlets were, the file cabinet was going to be in front of it, and I wouldn’t be able to access those things very easily. So she drew it two different ways and I agreed to change it from what I wanted. But, when the guys came in to install, they showed me both drawings, which came as a surprise because I had already agreed with the second one. The installer told me that he thought he could do it the way I originally wanted and so I told him that it would be great if he can do that. That's what he did, he turned it around and made it work.

However, they were not able to finish the job the day they came and I scheduled it a month in advance so that was kind of disappointing. They didn’t bring all the materials and they are coming back this Tuesday or Wednesday. I also wanted keyboard things underneath the desk to free up the space on the desk and they didn’t have those. Nevertheless, they did a good job. Everybody whom I dealt with was very friendly. I was very happy with Closet World even though they were very expensive. Everything looks nice. It functions fine for us and everybody tried their best to do what I wanted. I would recommend them to friends.

Closet World had a deal offered on a flyer where it was around 40% off of the installation and the closet itself. I had an entire closet with the shelving and doors installed by them. The designer was very helpful. She went on a trip and followed up on us when she got back. So, in terms of that and keeping me posted and letting me know when to reschedule, she was great.

Working with the consultant was wonderful but the scheduling with Closet World and dealing with the installers were a bit not what I expected. We have scheduled a day and a time and they kept rescheduling on us during the holidays. They were supposed to come at two in the afternoon on Halloween, and they showed up at six. Their vans were in our driveways when all the kids were coming and going while they were trick-or-treating, and it was a bit of a hassle for us. Also, I was a little concerned about how they installed the door as it was a little off. And them showing up about five hours later than the expected time was a bit of a disappointment. Customer service is key for me, and scheduling appointments and keeping the time and date are vital for a customer.

I was looking to do closets on my own and I had gone online but I figured that I couldn't do that. I saw that Closet World had 40% off and they'll come out and do the closets for me so that sounded a lot better. I was price conscious so I only got the lower-end model but their designer was awesome, very pleasant, personable and totally flexible for me. She helped me and she set it all up. They were very flexible with me on pricing too and I felt that I got a good deal. The installation crew was late to show up but that wasn't necessarily their fault. They were nice guys and they were fast. One of the techs spoke good English but the other one didn't but when I asked them to replace or fix something, they were great about doing that.

The only objection I had was that they left behind a mess outside my house. But to be fair, they probably couldn't see it because they didn't have a lot of lights outside and it's late at night. They were very nice and accommodating, and I was very happy about that. I'm also really pleased that somebody came back today to do follow-up. The only thing I would suggest is that they would make a point of checking around. They were still at work out there to cut shelves until about 7:30 at night and that was already dark so it's hard for them to see it. There were some trash the next day so I had to pick it all up. However, this was a very good option for the price and for the convenience so if you're looking at closets, you should consider Closet World like I've done.

I needed additional shelving recently and they called and quoted a cheap price that was available very quickly. That kind of service after the fact for a small amount of money is very much appreciated. We were satisfied a hundred percent.

The designer was very nice but a little inept in details. The measurements were all off in the laundry room area. They had to go back and redo it. The installers were good and very thorough. My biggest complaint is the scheduling. We paid and then they took a long time to get back out again. One guy was supposed to come and then didn’t show up. We had to reschedule and it was another week, so that was a little frustrating.

Closet World gave me the fastest estimate but the service was not great. The designer was initially fine but she did not respond to my emails or anything in a timely manner. The supervisors of design and installation did not follow up with me very well until I actually complained a little louder. I actually had to complain to the vice manager who called me back. I don’t think that in the customer service industry I should have to yell before people listen to me. That’s not the way you get clients or keep clients quite frankly or get recommendations for future work.

I had them install a pantry shelving, a little desk area with a cabinet above it and an after-closet. Their professionalism and demeanor were fine and they cleaned up after themselves. But the installation of one part of the product was bad so I had to have them come back out and fix it and they tried to redeem themselves. So parts of the service were okay but other parts of it not so much. The company should make sure that their salespeople don’t look at things solely as a commission because that’s what I ultimately ended up feeling like and no customer ever wants to feel that way. Closet World should be careful of that. I don’t care whether they’re sending out their senior designer which is what they purported to be sending out to me or not but it just should not be that way. I won’t use Closet World again and I wouldn’t recommend them.

About 5 years ago, my husband had Closet World make a custom closet at our previous home and it was good. When we moved into a new home, we got a custom closet again. It was 50% off and the installation was free. However, the shelving was not measured correctly because now it’s difficult to put stuff on the top shelf close to the ceiling. The boxes I had in the previous home doesn't fit up there anymore. I was hoping the same dimensions would fit into the new home. But I understand, different house, different closet.

Another thing, once that project was completed, the designer never called to ask how everything turned out. They should check with their customers once the project is completed. However, she was great. She was very friendly and met us whenever we needed to meet her. She was also helpful and flexible. She worked with our schedules so we could sit down to design the new closet. The closet was also done when they said it would.

I took out the previous shelving that came with my home since I wanted to paint the closet. Once the painting was done, I could put in the new closet and it would look nice. I didn't remove the baseboard, however, they removed it and just left it in the middle of my driveway. Plus, they wanted to charge me $50 to haul it away. That was that for that project. It was a his and hers closet. There’s shelving for shoes and for hanging. However, it doesn’t feel like a $4,000 closet. It’s not even wood.

The last one to be done was the desk. On the day they came to install it, I luckily peeked in. The design wasn't working for me. It was too small and I wasn’t going to have any leg room. I can't even put my chair in there and move comfortably. They reconfigured it, but one of the desk cabinets was damaged and they had to replace it. The backing of the desk wasn't installed and they didn't install the updated chrome handle that I requested. The desk installation had three parts. When I was there and looked at it, the office did not look like it had good quality. It looks like something you'd get at Ikea for a lot cheaper. I called them and complained. Closet World had to come back anyway because the backing wasn’t there and they didn’t have the doors for one of the cabinets. Plus, there’s a couple of missing pieces.

We read the mail and a neighbor also had a closet done from Closet World. Closet World installed a cabinet in my garage and I was dissatisfied. I was not happy with the visit that I had from my designer. Once we negotiated the price, she tried to change the price without informing us and that was a bit upsetting. And then, when we pointed out, she agreed to the price that she had originally taken. The interactions we had with the installers did not go well either. They did not explain to me what to expect and nobody told me that the garage has to be completely empty. The installation team came and my wife said, "You know you can start working and I'll start emptying the garage."

They were very rude and were not very courteous, and they said, "No, we're not going to start work until it's completely empty." So, she said, "Okay, fine. Then, you know, let's schedule another day." We scheduled another day that was my day off and they called on Monday to confirm that the appointment was for Thursday, which was the day I scheduled. And on Tuesday, they called saying the appointment was on Friday. I said, "No, I scheduled on Thursday," and they said, "Oh, we don't know how the appointment changed," although I did not change the appointment. So, I had to reschedule Friday again because they changed on me without my consent. I was very upset and I called the manager, and they said, "Oh, the installation manager will call you, he's in a meeting. He'll call you one hour," but he did not call. Then I called again, they said, "Oh, he went to lunch. He'll call you when he comes back from lunch," but he did not call me.

I called him again next day, "Oh he's not in the office yet." So, he never called me and then I tried to speak to somebody who's the manager, and then they gave me another manager. He said, "Oh, I can't do anything. I can just schedule another appointment". So, he scheduled another appointment and I emptied the whole garage and waited for them to come. The guys that came were courteous and did a good job. But overall, I had a bad experience with Closet World and I would not recommend them to anybody. It was very frustrating because I had already paid them so I wanted to get my work done. If I had not paid, then I would have canceled my order or I would have gotten it from somebody else.

She was very helpful, did not oversell, and asked the right questions pertaining to what my needs were. We put the project together from there because I only had a little bit of an idea on the entertainment center and it turned out good. She had experience with walk-in closets, so she knew what I needed and what was realistic.

Their installer did a good job installing the units but the guy came with all the stuff all by himself at 11:00 am and didn't leave until 9:00 pm. I'm faulting Closet World for not stepping adequately because a second guy would have cut that job in half. He was so tired after because he had been on a job before he did ours. He then had to come back on his own initiative and fix a couple of things since there were some fillers that need to be done as well as some detail work. He did touch-up, which he came up on his own, and did it very nicely. I also ordered an additional shelf which I didn't think of when we were doing the original product. Lily arranged it, and I got a call from the guys at Closet World and they dropped it off at no charge. Unfortunately, the hole was drilled in the wrong place so we had to do it again. The whole project took three weeks from inception, and they're still going to deliver another shelf back to me, which is fine.

I had a basic custom closet installed by Closet World. My experience with the designer was okay. She came to my house and we talked about what it is that I wanted. And once I told her that I wasn't going to book that day, she became agitated with me and packed up her stuff as fast as she could, and left. But the other estimates that I got, they couldn't do it for a much longer period of time so I ended up going with Closet World. Their overall customer service was average and I still have a pending issue.

They did a follow-up call with me to see how everything went and I said, "Well, everything was good like the installer did a great job. However, it looks like I'm missing a shelf". And he was like, "Well how many shelves do you have?" I said I only had five shelves, and he was like, "Oh, it's those shelves here that you should have had six, you paid for six." And so, they brought me out the shelf but I was unable to be here when they brought the shelf so they left it on my porch. So, $1000 later, I still have a shelf that's hanging out on the side.

They said I should just be able to slip it right in but I can't so it's currently stacked on the side of the closet because I'm unable to install it on my own. My husband and I both work full-time and we have a baby that's why we tried to get this done, and we have another closet pending but it's a matter of time. I liked the gal that I worked with at Closet World. I'm in the similar business and I had one particular closet that I was very limited with and she liked to work and try and make it happen. I had four closets installed and I'm not super crazy about that because I did not know that they were like a cam lock system. The cam lock system is basically an RTA cabinet, as far as I'm concerned. You buy it from Home Depot or IKEA. And so, it reminds me of something cheap which bothered me, but it's my fault that I didn’t ask. And when I called my sales rep, I told her, “You need to let people know.” I've had a separate closet done at my previous house and it was not a cam lock system.

The installation experience wasn’t great either because I was told that they would be there on a certain day between 11:00 and 1:00 but then, they weren’t there yet at 1:00. I asked, when they called me during the window, if they’ll be able to finish on the same day, and they said yes. They showed up but it was just one guy, and he had a third of one closet done by 6:15. And that was only because my husband, daughter, and son-in-law helped him carry all the panels upstairs. I was not happy and when I called them, I talked to Richard and asked him if the guy is coming back tomorrow, and he said, “We'll send somebody else out there.” There was no way the guy was going to be done. So, if it wasn’t for me complaining at least from what the possibility was, he wouldn’t have been back the next day. And so, he showed up the next day with a helper. And between the two of them, they got there by a little after 9:00 and were done by 4:00.

They forgot a couple of shelves so they brought me some extra shelves. I had actually asked for even a couple more but they forgot those but I'm happy that it was over. And then they didn’t charge me for those. If someone asked if I got anybody to work with, I would tell them that I worked with Closet World but I would also educate them because now I know and felt that I should have known. I should have been educated exactly.

There was a house with the same model as mine at the street about eight houses away. It was vacant so we went up there during an open house and noticed their closet. It was an unusual closet like ours with a slanted ceiling. I looked at it and said that we've been dealing with our terrible closet for 40 years. So I asked the listing agent who did the closet. The agent called the owner who said that they used Closet World. I got their number and called them.

Audrey was our designer and she was really nice. She drew up this whole thing and designed the closet. But the first installers said they couldn't perform the job because the design didn't fit our space. So they left and I called the designer. She came back out and re-did the design but it didn't have the double hangs right. The two corner pieces where the double hangs were supposed to go didn't go right to the ceiling. We went back and forth. The second install turned out well though and we're happy with the results.

Initially, my experience was not satisfactory and the head of the installation department was downright nasty. He sent me a drawing and I approved it but the designer went back and told them to change the drawing. But I had a very good experience with the installer and the designer. We had to throw our old closet out and now, we got a slanted ceiling and it was a narrow closet. We had double hanging shelves and shelves behind. It was a place for shoes and two double hang on either side of the closet. Some things also happened but we got it worked out. And it turned out that they cooperated and fixed it so that it was right.

I even showed the designer the website of Garage World and she called the company and told them what's going on. Still, they didn't honor the prices. I also wanted to speak to a manager but none of those happened.

Closet World is very deceitful and the only reason I shopped there again was because I was moving, putting product and clothing together and organizing. I was running really late before my moving in so I had no other choice. I had some garage cabinets installed, and although I wanted to have some closets inside, the prices were tremendous so I decided not to use Closet World again. I'm a very unhappy customer and I would tell others to never go to Garage World or Closet World because they're the same company and it’s a scam.

Closet World offered a 100% financing for 24 months and I had closet organizers put in. My interaction with the Closet World designer was good and she was very helpful, and the installation was fine. We had one problem but we worked it out. We didn’t know what type of doors were going on one of the closets that we put organizers in. And so, the way that the designer had designed them did not match the doors that we rounded up putting on the closets so they had to redesign it and come back. That was a slight oversight that before we signed up for the project, we should have made sure that we knew what kind of doors were going on. Other than that, it was fine. They redesigned it and they came back and installed it a couple of weeks later so it was fine. They were expensive but I would still recommend Closet World. I had a fine experience with them.

I've used Closet World in three different houses, one after the other three years ago. The newest model of wood they have is beautiful for a walk-in closet and I had two closets installed recently, for the master bedroom and the second bedroom. They gave me a good deal. I told them the price I wanted and they reduced it for me. The salesman was a very good man and he gave me different payouts. The installers were very nice people as well. They were very careful on the walls and there wasn't too much mess, plus they cleaned after themselves. One door was damaged but they fixed it the same week. Other than that, everything was perfect and I would use them again.

I’ve used Closet World often for years in my rental properties and in my home. This time I had mirrored closet drawers installed in my kids’ room. We did three different panels. The designer was good and we had a great experience with her. However, the installation was awful. They installed it but they didn’t test it. So when I came home from being out of town, the doors didn’t line up and all my drawers didn’t open because they didn’t measure correctly and they never tested it when they put them on the rails. So for seven weeks, we couldn’t get kids’ clothes or their bed sheet out of the closet because they couldn’t get it open. My first install was back in the middle of September and we’re now all the way into November. It’s taken them that long.

The original installers came two days early and called me while I was out of town and kept demanding a credit card. But I feel uncomfortable paying the full amount due without seeing the product. But they won’t leave until I pay. So I had my housekeeper go get a credit card and give it to them. And it turns out, they didn’t even pass the first install.

I called and they told me that my floor was crooked. But there were three mirrored panels here before that and all fit perfectly. They said it wasn’t their fault. I said, “How do you explain why I can’t open the doors wide enough to pull my drawers open?” They said they don’t know and that it’s impossible to cut the right size. I had three exact drawers that they took out and all I did was upgrade them to a different style. Then I called the designer and she was supposed to call someone and call me back. They never did. So then I finally got a manager and I said that it was ridiculous. They can see that when all three are put together, the middle one was diagonal. It never lined up a parallel. I will never use them again because that’s the quality of their work and they think that’s acceptable. They didn’t even offer an apology.

I had Closet World do the inside of the closets, drawers, and a place to hang stuff. I didn't want to go to Ikea quality and I didn't want to go super high-end quality. I just wanted something in the middle, and based on what I looked at, it was what Closet World was offering. My experience, for the most part, has been good. There were misunderstandings that came from the beginning in regards to measurements and what I needed and what they did, but it was corrected and it's been okay. The installer was very quiet and he was on-time and the installation was as scheduled. The Closet World designer was very helpful. She took into consideration my concerns and what I wanted. But I should have paid better attention to the drawings. The placement of what I wanted was fine but some of the cubbies that I ordered were not deep enough.

I'm not good at looking at numbers and plans and the depth of my storage was not very well explained, and when I called, they told me it was what is in my contract. And I probably was not paying attention, so I'm not going to push all the responsibility on them. The only thing is the company didn't do anything and told me that it was what I ordered and for me to have the cubbies that I wanted, it's going to cost me more. So they will have to come back and do it.

The reviews I got said Closet World was really fast, and that’s what I wanted for the home improvement of the condo that we just purchased so we got them. However, it took me about two months just to get two built-in closets and four sliding mirror doors done and I didn’t expect that kind of service. The designer came in for the first time and measured twice, but it was wrong by the time that the installer came. Then, they remeasured it for the second time and it was still wrong. It was a very long process for me and it delayed a lot of my other stuff because I couldn’t do the other cabinet at the hallway until I install their mirror, and it was really frustrating. I understand that the designer and the installers were from different departments but they’re the same company and should have the same categories of measuring. They finally did the correct measurement the third time, fixed it and apologized. The installation crew was nice and they did the job.

We’ve used Closet World in my home about 18 years ago when we had the master bedroom closet reorganized. Then we converted a bedroom into an office and they provided the two desks, cabinetry, a wonderful place where we have a coffee machine and a pull-out deal for the color copier and scanner. The work was well done and we’re happy with the installation. The price was reasonable at the time and the workmanship has held up to 18 years of experience. So now, we wanted to reorganize the closet in the guest bedroom and in the office and I didn't even think about anybody else. We called Closet World and one of their managers, Amy, was one block away from us so she came right over and helped us with the design. We kept the same white design and she also gave us a very good price for two closets combined. The process was straightforward.

The installation took place three weeks after we completed the order which was a good timing but there was a little mix-up, which is more of my fault because I'm careless in reading my voicemail and I didn’t see the confirmation. Everything worked out fine. The men who installed were nice, clean, courteous and respectful. They did the installation of the two closets in a little over three hours. It was a great experience. We're happy and we're going to make some modifications in one of the closets to get more shelves for shoes. We'll call Amy when it's time for that. Although, we can do that installation ourselves and it's the matter of putting in more shelves and moving one other thing around.

I had a basic white melamine closet installed in the master bedroom. It's mostly drawers, shelving, and hanging space. Working with the designer was interesting. The designer seemed knowledgeable at the time. However he kept trying to market me, for lack of a better term. And when I asked him to make a design he asks, "You want me to design it right now?" I wasn't going to sign a contract for something that I haven't seen.

The design seemed fine. Unfortunately it just didn't work out that way. He came up with the design and we agreed on the price. He ordered the materials and we got a delivery date. When they came to install the first time the installers re-measured to make sure that everything was going to fit correctly. The installer said that the measurements are incorrect and he's not going to be able to do the job that day. He then called his boss and said that there's a big issue. Since there were windows in my closet the shelving would have ended up in the middle of the window. The installer re-measured, went back and had the materials re-done. They came out to install the second time but there was still an issue with one wall. They ended up calling their boss again and he sent over two more installers that day.

There were three installers here and they installed two walls of the closet but they couldn't finish the third wall. It was measured wrong again. The whole thing took two months. It was a nightmare. They got it right the third time. When the third installer came he said he didn't understand why they did it the way they did but he made it work. It came out okay in the end. One of the installers mentioned to me that there are 12 inch and 16 inch shelving. That had never come up with the original designer. He told me that based on what I talked about it probably should have been 16. But since there were so many other issues I didn't want to start changing things and then fighting about the costs.

They knew that this was a big mix up. Even the drawers that were installed were really larger than I anticipated. Plus they wouldn't roll right on the ball bearings. One of the supervisors had called me to follow up and told me they were coming out to fix all those things. I was also asked if there were anything thing else they need to take care of. I mentioned the drawers to him and he offered to change it for a nominal fee.

I went ahead and had the rollers upgraded. It was somewhat disappointing that after spending hours and hours waiting for people to come and install things, they still wanted to charge me to fix the rollers. They had the best price I could find and all the people that I dealt with were very pleasant. However I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. In hindsight their designer wasn't experienced. Although he said that he's been doing things for 10 years it's truly hard to believe that.

There was a Closet World ad that talked about 40% off and it was a good time for us so we went to see how that went. I had them install four closets - one in the garage, one in the TV room area, and two bedrooms. The designer that came over was fantastic and took all the time in the world to explain every single detail. She was extremely patient with me and spent hours until I was completely satisfied. I was shocked how well she did her job. She measured and re-measured just to be sure that everything was up to whatever they needed. A couple of gentlemen that came over had no problem at all with the measurements. They were very kind and thorough, and they cleaned after themselves which I was very pleased with.

Closet World did a fantastic job. However, I had no idea how pricey these things were. We spent thousands of dollars that I thought would entitle very good wood. But that was not the case. They used composite wood and eventually, composite gives in with time. But things turned out looking beautiful and I was very pleased with the end product.

But the person who originally came out for the measurements measured just a small shelving. When the installation guy came, he said that what was going to happen was that the rods were going to bend. So he placed an order for a larger shelf and had to reschedule for them to come back out, which was not a problem for me. It was a good thing too since the installer was supposed to come in the morning but he called and scheduled me for an appointment between 3:00 and 5:00. But he showed up at 10 after 5:00. After they got the correct shelving, everything was fine. They came in and within two hours, everything was done. I'd tell others to go with them.

I moved into a new home and while I was there, I got flyers about Closet World doing custom closets. I was looking to get custom closets done and was talking to my friend. But when I got my house, I did not have a walk-in closet. I needed middle sliding doors and Closet World was the only one who was offering me that. There were other companies also, but they were not reliable. They said that they don't do that work and that they'll have to hire somebody else to do it. I said, "Closet World has done this before and you all do this professionally, let me just go with who does everything."

Closet World did my master closet and my designer was really good. When she came in, she sounded very experienced. I didn't want a white closet and they were offering me a good offer for the wood grain finish for my closet. So, I said "Why not go for wood grain finish? And it would look prettier." She was open to suggestions but since this was my first time, I totally relied on her and her expertise. She gave me a design but after the closet was installed, I thought that function-wise, if I would have made other decisions, it would have worked better. Now that I use the closet, I feel that we did not talk very deeply about what I wanted.

I was in the middle of shopping for my bed and other stuff for my house so I thought I would match my wood grain to my bed frame. I finalized the bed and saw the pictures in the manual that they gave us. From that, I selected a wood grain finish. When my designer came in, they were giving me a good offer for the wood grain finish for my closet but what came in was totally different from what I had selected so I was a little disappointed. I went back and forth with my designer and the reinstalling manager. It was an expensive closet and was really pretty but I had to redesign my whole bedroom all over again. And they were not helping me out in any way.

It was really frustrating. The designer told me that because of this mishap, they were going to credit me back some amount because this did not go the way we wanted it to go. But then when I raised that issue with the manager, he said that the designer does not have any right to say all that. I said, "See my closet is already here, you have done a good job. I'm not saying that the closet is not good but it's just not what I needed, what I as a customer had asked for." That was a little hitch in the whole thing and I was not happy with that.

The first installation happened. The repairing person came in and said that the first man did not do a good job with the dresser and the sliders that's why it was not functional. There were gliders in the drawers and because of that, it became so heavy that I could not pull the drawers out. Somebody else had to come in and I requested for those things wherein I just push it and it closes on its own. When they got that, it seemed like the first installer had broken something. The measurements were not right and there was not enough space. So the second person who came in here fixed everything and made it functional. The closet in itself looks really good and I would surely recommend Closet World to my friends, but I would warn them to be very aware of what design and what wood grain finish they are going for.

He did his best and did the job as quickly as he could. But I noticed that there was a bracket missing from the closet that one of my rods fell down because the closet isn’t properly installed in one spot, so I’m going to have to get a bracket and install it myself so that it remains intact or wait to see if they can bring the shelves and then just fix it themselves.

Although I didn’t realize that for the drawers that I had, I had to request it before in order to get the inserts for the jewelry and the locks and thought it was something I could’ve just bought afterwards. So they have to bring replacement drawers. I also was hoping to have a couple more shelves on one side. I chose an antique white melamine and what they had was white melamine. My choices were to have them take it all back and have it re-cut because everything is custom-made or they offered me a discount if I wanted to go with the white, which I did. The system works good, and it's easy to reformat because I moved my top bars up to the highest one so it fits stuff a little better. Though I did have a misunderstanding at the beginning. My husband made the phone call to Closet World then the lady came out and she was great. She sat at the table and sketched the design, and although it was hard to tell from a drawing what it was going to look like, she seemed really experienced. She knew what she was doing so we went with it and it turned out terrific. We had the installation scheduled but we ran into some issues. We were going to be out of town so we rescheduled the second time and it was late in the afternoon when they came out. But we had the closet prepared and everything was ripped out and painted. All they had to do was install everything so it was seamless.

It took me two days to paint the closet but it was worth it. It's snappy and beautiful. The closet is rectangular and it's a large one. It could’ve been a small room. On the right and left-hand side are the bars for the short clothing then when you walk into the closet, there’s a nice wood shoe rack. We did it in the dark wood to match the rest of the wood in the house. In the center, there are three shelves then three drawers underneath and we used the long bars. I'm glad we didn’t put the backs on because we painted. Then I had two lights, one on each side, and a hung piece like crystal drum-shaped chandeliers.

We also put lights on top of the shelves so there’s light shining on the clothes on each shelf. Then we put nice wood floors and a velvet ottoman. I also ordered those Joy Mangano hangers and everything’s really neat. My husband got a little slider closet and that turned out nice too. He put lights over as well and now my husband wants to put a glass door on the closet. Overall, the experience was effortless and the quality of their work was nice. In fact, we’re considering doing the pantry and eventually all the closets in the house as well.

I called Closet World and they hooked me up with a designer, who called back and we set up an appointment. She came in person and had a little book that shows you the different designs. I had done a little research on my own so I knew the styles that I wanted. My closet had a few little quirks but she was able to quickly design around it. It used to be a den and I’m renting that room so I had them install a custom closet. They put shelves and doors and two double hang closets and hanging rods. The installation was clean, quick and of great quality.

Closet World's price is expensive, but the installation was something I wanted to get done so I still went with them. They had a discount that they gave so it was almost as if they reduced the prices. Also, the local manufacturer office called me the next day to check on me. Overall, I’m happy with everything they said and did. They had all the answers and they were very good that way. I would recommend them.

Closet World sent us a booklet with home improvement letters for advertisement. We had them install two 26-inch panels and pullout shelves, and then around 10 shelves. When we first met with the designer, I didn’t know that the paneling was only going to be 12-inches deep. So we had an issue once I met with the installer. And then, we kept going back and forth on the date because on the first date that they were supposed to install the closet, the installer got to my house too late. He got to my house around 7:00 and it was too dark for him to cut the materials outside. We had to reschedule and the designer told me not to reschedule because they are going to reschedule me until November. So then they were able to reschedule me again for the following week.

That installer came back and then there was material missing because my design was different than their design. He had to leave and then they had to reschedule me again and but that time was when the guy had all the material. The guy came but had to leave again because he was missing material again, three shelves, and he came back within an hour. But when they installed it, it was good. I really like the quality of it because it’s sturdy. However, there was a lot of misunderstanding and back and forth. That was really annoying and frustrating. But I’d use them again because of the quality of the stuff and this time, I know what kind of questions to ask and what to expect.

I did a comparison between closet companies and ended up with Closet World. Their price was a little bit more, but it was close. The sales rep was very nice and the installation at first was okay. However, the installer cracked a light switch plate and then proceeded to take one off another part of the house and didn’t say anything. When we looked at the closet, things were okay. There were some measurement issues because the closet door would not open all the way. Closet World sent somebody else back out and they went ahead and took care of one of the cabinets of the closet door a little all the way. They did a very neat job.

But I was very disappointed and questioned what else the first installer may have stolen from us. Even though it was only a $2 face plate, but my wife and I and a dog live in the house. I noticed 36 hours later, when I was walking out to the garage, the switch plate was missing off the light switch in the laundry room. I knew he told me he would have to cut it down about a quarter of an inch to fit and I said that’s fine. I left for 20 minutes and trusted him. But in that period of time, he tried to cut it and broke it. He may have had every intention of coming back but he didn’t. He didn't say anything as well.

So, I talked to customer service and they said that they're going to go ahead and reimburse me $120. Other than that, I love the closet system. There were eight doors that were done and a lot of shelves and hanging components. I’m happy with the quality and installation at this point. I would recommend Closet World, but I would express to people to not leave their house and not leave anything out.

We used Closet World six years ago in another house. And this time, we had a bedroom closet installed and I’m very dissatisfied. The quality is very low and the installation was a big mess, and it wasn’t good at all. They used low-end materials, and IKEA products are much better and cheaper. And then, they finished installing my closets for three weeks when it was supposed to be done in one day. On the first day, the installer showed up, picked up the check, and then, he said it was his fourth job for the day and he won't be installing anything. And the next day, he didn’t have the right product. He never came back. I had to call Closet World and I didn’t get anywhere, so I had to write them a big email so somebody would call me back. Closet World should be offering better quality, better customer service, and they need to better manage their installers.

We’re in the midst of a major remodel in our home and we wanted to get a comparison out there of the folks that did the kind of stuff that Closet World does. They had a 50% discount that they had mailed out, so we gave them a call to compare to what we could do on our own in our home. When they came out with the discount, it was a competitive price and we liked what we saw.

Their designer showed a little mock-up of their product and she worked with us the entire time. We had a number of revisions because I wanted to get everything in our master bedroom closets so that we didn’t have to use the closet dressers in the actual living space in the bedroom. The designer was good about that. We had a very unique situation in that the shape of it is different, very weird looking triangle with some weird angles but she measured it and did a great job. She was very knowledgeable. Plus, the installers did a really good job and they were considerate. Definitely, it was a quality installation job.

There are two things transpired in the midst of it that I haven’t addressed with them, though. In the middle of the build, the rep began to offer me a lot of different combinations of things because she wanted to get my business. There was a point that we had about 30 emails back and forth where she offered up these soft edges and shelving. Then in the final contract, those were excluded, so I was looking for it and I cut and pasted her own email. To which, she replied that she made a mistake and that she was sorry. But she’s a nice gal and we got past that issue.

The cabinets are nice and we didn’t go over the top by any means but the glides to the drawers are a little cheap. It has a feel like the drawers are going to twist unless I support it properly. Then it comes out on the track that it is on. I should have worked something out in getting better tracks. We’re still trying to wrap this whole project up and we're 11 months into it. I’m a satisfied customer, though, and I would recommend Closet World. I got a garage to do when I’m done with this and I’m going to call them back.

Wendy, Closet World's salesperson, was awesome. She came to the house and listened to what my boss wanted. She then sat down, did a sketch then and there, and gave us a quote. That was the deciding factor for my boss. She also liked the fact that she didn’t have to go into a showroom. There were, however, installation issues. It was supposed to be done on the 24th and 25th but whoever typed it in the system had it wrong and they did not show up. They then told us that they'd be doing it on the 25th and 26th, so I had to reschedule a bunch of things, which was inconvenient. Then, during the installation, they had to take out a closet rod and when they did that, it left a huge white area and holes in the wall. When we spoke to Wendy about it, she told us that there were baseboards and stuff that we need to paint before the installation. However, she never said anything after the installation about it being our responsibility.

So, again, I called and I talked to Craig and he told me that it was not their responsibility. That was something I had to schedule into my days. My boss and I had to rearrange so many schedules and stuff that she and I were not happy. Also, the guy that I spoke to was very brass and I don't think he should be in customer service. But he apologized and the installation team was able to get it done in one day. They also gave the homeowner a couple extra things in the closet for free, which made her happier. The closet is amazing. It was definitely what they promised and what Wendy sketched. She was also super happy with that.

I looked at the cabinet at my friend's place and I really liked it. Closet World is really good. Their designer measured everything and then came up with the design. She was knowledgeable about what she was doing so it was a great experience with her. We made up a deal as to what she can do and she gave me a discount. I feel great about their work because I have very little space and Closet World made it comfortable for me to fit all my items in the closet.

Closet World changed the day of installation because one of their installers got hurt on the job. They switched me from Friday to Saturday and I wasn’t a priority so I had to sit around my house waiting. The guy showed up two hours late. When he came here, he was explaining to me that my designer didn’t put in a buffer so, I was going to lose some inches off of my original design. I asked him, “Can you guys take money off because what I paid for, you’re not able to deliver to me?” He called his manager, Richard and he said, no.

After he finished talking to Richard, he said, “You need to pay me now.” I was like, “What do you mean, pay you now?” He’s like, “We collect the money and then we do the job.” I was like, “Oh, wow. You know what, you finish the job and then, I’ll write you a check.” I also said, "I paid for one design but you can’t give it to me because the designer didn’t consider a buffer." The installer said, “I need to do this.” I wasn’t happy with that at all and I explained it to him. But that was his decision.

When the designer came out, we had also talked about a backing. She was saying that they don’t have backing but the installer said, “We have backing but you have to pay for it.” I was like, “The designer said, you guys didn’t have it.” It was just little things like that was not clear. I just let the installer go ahead and put whatever in. I paid for it so, this is what I got. It wasn’t like they wanted to take anything off. But that’s the way the company wants to do their business.

The installer was good. He came here and he tried to help as best he could. That’s why he got on the phone and talked to Richard. But their overall customer service is not really that great. I was here by myself. My significant other wasn’t home so, I don’t think things would’ve probably been like that. But by me being a female here by myself, I think he was a little bit aggressive on that side. But he went ahead and installed the closet and then collected the money after. I will never use Closet World's service again.

We had Closet World install our master bedroom closet, one of our guest room closet and cabinets in the laundry room. We spent a lot of time with the designer and he was really good. Unfortunately, the installation was horrible. I always had to follow up on the time that the installers were coming. They tell me a date and then they wouldn't show up. And they don't even schedule appointments until 2:00 in the afternoon but didn't really tell me so I sat around all day waiting. We were told that it would be a two-day project and it ended up being a three-day project because they don't start until 2:00 which was a problem. We were going out of town and I told them it had to be done in two days. And when the guy got here, he said there was more work than they thought and something wasn't measured properly so they had to reorder it. They also ended up having to bring out a second team.

The measurements in the laundry room were off but it wasn't necessarily the designer's fault because there was something about the wiring in the wall. The problem with that was the installers took it upon themselves to redesign it. And had I not called and asked about the reorder, they would not have told me that they redesigned it. I told them they couldn't just redesign it and not tell me that they redesigned it. They were going to have two cabinets on one wall with two different sizes. It doesn't make sense to me but I'm so over it. And it's done now but it was horrible. The installation was an absolute nightmare.

Also, one of their installers was very unprofessional. I work from home and I'd lock myself in the room to get a conference on. He kept knocking on my door, again and again, to tell me something, and it was absolutely ridiculous. The product that was set and done is fine, but the rest of the experience puts it down. It was overall a very disappointing experience, and I would never use them again.
