Closet Factory did a good job the first time and we tried them back. Initially, we just looked for a closet company online and they were the first one we called. We tried them out and we were very happy with them. They said they were gonna come and they came which is rare and they spent as much time as we needed. They made return visits to see how everything was progressing and they worked with us on design ideas that we had. We had a full, large closet done with shelves and spaces for hanging clothes, and the second project was a bookcase that I designed and they built the specs.
We had two different designers. The first one was very good, did exactly what we asked for and delivered what she promised. The second one came in and done the measurements for the bookcase. She made at least three visits and we worked on a computer together. I changed some things from what I wanted to be designed. Then during installation, there was one person each time. And they were neat and respectful. They cleaned up wonderfully. So far, Closet Factory's quality is excellent and I'll tell a friend if they ask me about them to hire them.

We had a few people come in and quote, and Closet Factory knew what we wanted and their price was okay. Their designer was very friendly, very creative, and easy to get a hold of. The installation for the master bedroom closet was quick and easy. While I didn’t really interact very much with the people who put it in, they were fine. Now, I have a way nicer space and and functionality.

Closet Factory has good reviews and reputation when we did a web search and looked at reviews. We have a his and hers closet and we had them redid my wife's so she had more organization and space better than the standard stuff that you get at a new house. The dealing I had with their designer was good and I know Closet Factory does a lot of high-end stuff. Ours wasn't quite as luxurious as folks would be used to, but once she felt that we were more serious about doing it, she opened up. The installation crew came, worked very well and spoke to me if I wanted to keep the hardware or not. Everything worked as it should've and my wife is really happy with it. It was a good experience overall.

Closet Factory came highly recommended by someone whose opinion I respect. I’ve had two major jobs done here and the installer was absolutely phenomenal. There were some issues with the second project though, but it really wasn’t a product, no fault of their own. The first job they built from the ground up. The second one they added on to something else that was there, a previous structure, and that can be problematic because they're not always aligned properly. But Hugh hung in there and he got the job done and I absolutely could not be happier with the results. Everybody who has come in here and seen the work has loved it.

Closet Factory was close to our house, so it didn’t take a long time and it was a little bit pricey compared to other companies. We had four closets and different types of shelves done. The designer was very helpful and then the installers came on time and they had the design and started cutting stuff and putting them in. Everyone did a good job.

Closet Factory is close and convenient. They're in my town, so it was easy for me to go there and actually view the product. Also, the salesperson was very personable. So, I decided to go with them for my closet project. I had them install a modular system with some hanging and shelves. I got one closet with shelving and another one that was almost completely with hanging but had a little shelving at the top.
The designer was great, pleasant and courteous. She answered all my questions and she was able to describe what I was getting. She did the measurements and went over everything in detail with me. The installation experience was great too. The installer was very professional, clean and neat. He was on-time and the job was completed to my satisfaction. I was very pleased with the rep that I dealt with, although I can't speak for the other reps that also work with the company. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied with my overall experience with Closet Factory and I've already recommended them and my interior designer to someone.

I like my person from Closet Factory. I felt that she knew what I was looking for and she also made suggestions. I had a walk-in pantry system installed and the installation went well. The installer was good and it was a good experience.

Closet Factory did a great job. The designer was fantastic. I gave her my ideas, she gave me some, and we came to a mutual agreement. The installers came and installed as agreed upon. I had them install the Wee shelf, cubbyholes and the racks in the master bedroom. They’re very efficient and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, wiped down everything before they left and it looks fantastic. I’m having them come back again to do another room.

Closet Factory is a local company and we've had four closet inserts in the bedroom done by them. Dealing with their designer went fine, but it was a little shaky afterwards. We had lights in the center of my closet and I had an electrician to redo the wiring and change the positioning of the lights beforehand in order for the design to work the way I wanted it. And then I had to do all the patching myself. So, it was a bit more of a pain in the butt than it was worth. We were in the midst of a bit of a remodel in the bathroom behind one of the closets, so it was delayed and they worked with us on that. The installation was quick and easy and if I had a concern, they addressed it right away. It worked out pretty well and my wife and daughter are happy. They're really pricey but do a good job when they're done and I will recommend Closet Factory to a friend.

The young man from Closet Factory that came here was a very good salesman and he did exactly what we wanted without overselling. Also, the price was right. We had Closet Factory install for us shelving with three drawers for the pantry. The designer came here and sat at our table. We showed him our pantry and told him what we wanted and that we didn't wanna spend our retirement fund doing the project. He came up with a design on his computer and it was what we wanted. Then he saw to it that the shelving was installed and everything was done right.
One gentleman came here in the morning to do the installation and he came on time. He put the shelving in perfectly and was ready to go by 2:00 that afternoon. He kept clean, neat and tidy. The designer came by on the day that the shelving was installed and he left us his card again and told us to call if we had any questions or needed anything tweaked. After the installation, we got a follow-up email from Closet Factory.
We had a really positive experience with Closet Factory. The work they did in installing open shelves and some drawers for our pantry was exactly what I wanted done and it was something that I had wanted for a while. I'm glad we did that project. We've had the shelving and drawers installed since mid-March and they're holding up and working out well. I definitely have recommended Closet Factory to several people. We told them that the quality of the work Closet Factory did for us was good and their salesperson wasn't overly pushy. Closet Factory gave us what we wanted and it was within our price range.

Closet Factory's salesperson made me feel comfortable. She seemed to know what they were doing and paid attention to details. They installed a closet for us quickly. It took them five hours to do it. They came and took the shelving out, but when they did that, there were still holes in it and they put a little putty there. I wish they suggested doing repairs to the wall and I would have painted it prior to them coming to do the actual installation. Other than that, everything was fine.

I knew about Closet Factory through a decorator friend and I got them to install a walk-in closet with a double-layered hanging and a lot of shoe shelves, a reach-in closet that is converted to being a huge dresser with some cabinetry above, and a vanity in the bathroom. I chose Closet Factory for the job considering the timeframe that they could do it in and they did a very good work. The designer was good and the crew that came in was great. They did a good job and cleaned up. However, we are still supposed to get another valet rod and I’m not sure with the designer when they’re gonna bring it.

My experience with Closet Factory was great although there's a couple of things that I think may be improved. We've gotten a quote from Closets by Design before. And then, I started googling and Closet Factory had a better quote and pricing, and the same quality materials so I went with them. I had them install drawers, long and short hangs, the master closet and the whole big closet. Their designer was great but since I already had done some of the backgrounds, I appreciate it if they'd not go too much into a spiel or selling. They could just go which is the most helpful for me.
The installation went okay. However, the sizes were not right. So, the technician had somebody to re-cut and then somebody else had to come in and fix it. That took a little bit of a time and then it slipped through a crack. It took a while for that somebody to come back out and do the 10-minute job. And then the other pieces had some gaps left on the edges that I needed to go back and ask for. That should be something that Closet Factory should automatically take care of. Nonetheless, the technician was great. Moreover, I know that they had warned that the drawers and the hinges at the front sometimes get locked or jammed and I have experienced that on a couple of drawers. Closet Factory should continue to look for ways to improve it.

We interviewed with two companies and we had a quote that was cheaper, but we thought Closet Factory was the one to go with. Our designer explained everything to us. She knew we were low on budget so she tried to work around that. She really did the best and we felt she did a wonderful job. We're selling our condo so I called her back and asked her if she could write up something about how many hanging dresses I could put here or there. She did all that at the time and sent that to us. We have a huge bedroom. We have a king-sized bed and you can have a couch, chair and TV in there. But the closet was this little dinky one. For us, it worked fine for a couple of guys. But for a woman, I don't think she'd appreciate it so we had a closet installed and it was probably one of the worst closets that we thought we had ever seen but our designer made it very desirable. Kudos to the designer.
And the fellow who did the installation pretty much didn't need any help and he did a wonderful job too. The installation took half a day and then he cleaned up his mess. The way the closet was designed, it made enough rooms for 26 pairs of shoes which women would appreciate. And there are three hanging areas, a long hanging area, and a couple of shelves. There's a shelving area where we could put sweaters. There are six shelves there. We're very happy and we wish we had done it while we lived there three and a half years ago so we could have enjoyed it. The closet quality is awesome, it's well put together and it's very sturdy. We can't find one negative about it except for paying the bill.

I had Closet Factory install a large walk-in closet in a new house that's going up. The builder of the house told me about Closet Factory and when I looked at their website, I was impressed at what I saw because I was confident that they could probably deliver what I wanted. Also, I had a budget in mind and their estimate came below it for my closet so I was satisfied. The other thing that impressed me was the designer that I was working with. Clearly, I was talking with someone that was extremely knowledgeable. And therefore, the process of designing the closet went very, very quick. And the software that was being used that could do a 3D rendering pretty much sold me on. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I was able to visualize the closet and I was excited. By then, they were able to follow up as the house was going up and make their measurements to check. So there was accountability there, and there were no screw ups in the installation.

I talked to the rep of Closet Factory and I liked what they were doing and had them come out. There was an initial consultation and it went from there. I had Closet Factory install a pantry, a laundry, a mud room and two closets. The installation was quick. They actually had scheduled two days but they had it done in a day. We had a slight confusion about a certain piece that was installed and I was given more than what I should've been given so we checked on it and they said, "Just leave it the way it is." And we did change out something else because I didn't like the way it was.
The installation crew were very nice, got the place clean and didn't make a mess. They left it like they found it. I had a great experience with them and I've already recommended several other people. Daniel, my consultant, is awesome. She came in and took measurements for everything that I've liked to do. She's maintaining that documentation so that when I get ready I can go back and do the rest of the other rooms that I want to do.
Daniel knows her stuff and she actually came out in the evening when it was convenient for me. She didn't make me take time off. She came out when I was at home and she made multiple trips out to my house. Obviously the cost is a little higher than what you would probably find with others. But considering what I was looking at, like your home improvement stores and what you get and the warranty and the customer service, I would again recommend them. They're dead on.

Closet Factory was awesome. I like their designer and owners so I went with them. I had a master closet installed for myself and a master closet installed for my husband. I work with both the owner as well as with the designer, and they listened to my needs and made multiple revisions. The process was very, very thorough and good, their follow up was excellent and their install team was great. The entire company communicates very well. So overall, it was a great experience. I also liked that they called to schedule the delivery, and then they called to remind you. I thought that was really good. Their administrative staff was very good and the install team were really nice and thorough. I also had a couple of little punch items, things that had to be taken care of after, and they took care of that immediately.
When our carpet was installed, the base of my husband's closet needed to be reinstalled. And that had nothing to do with the product itself. We just needed a little bit of treating. Also, the hamper that I had installed in my closet needed to be adjusted a little bit, and they adjusted that right away. After the closets were installed, the designer came out constantly to make sure that I was a 100% satisfied and looked at everything. I appreciated that follow up even after the sale. They were great.

I've done business with Closet Factory for about 20 years. The location that I have worked with changed hands after my initial service. But I found them to be very, very reputable and easy to deal with. And in the last eight years they had a wonderful designer. She's just phenomenal on what she can do with. She's conscientious of cost and their quality is superb. It's a great company.
They redid some cabinetry in my garage. I needed to change sizes but I've done whole rooms. I had closets done for two of my granddaughters. We just took out our whole closet and built in a freestanding closet. And the other one we did not only the closet, we built all around a bed and it was great. They needed to make a correction to a top on a counter in the garage but they did it with no problem and in a very timely manner. It was just a misunderstanding on how it was gonna fit.
They're lovely people, clean, neat and efficient. They're pleasant and they can't do enough for you to help. There's nothing that I could ever say that wasn't perfect about this company. I've recommended them a number of times. I actually stopped people who I heard talking about doing closets in their house, that if they haven't signed up with someone I have a fabulous company for them. And my designer, Kathy, has pulled a couple of jobs based on that.

We had a pantry installed by Closet Factory because of the quality of their work. Their designer did a great job asking the right questions and those that I didn’t know needed to be asked, she then listed things by answers. I had dealt with California Closets when I first came to Crozet and they were extremely expensive and things did not last very well. I saw some work that Peggy, from Closet Factory, had done for Craig Builders in one of their model homes so she did some work for me in my first house and I was extremely pleased with her and the work. When I moved she helped me again. And then she helped me again not long ago. If I have a question or concern about something I'd like to do, I call or email her and she comes over and we talk about it in depth. Then she does the designs for me before she leaves. We talk some more and then she'll go. If there are some things that need to be changed she does that and we go back and forth till we get it the way we want it. But we've done several projects so she's pretty much right on it when I tell her what I want to do.
This most recent time, Closet Factory did some work in my garage with some shelves, a cabinet and a workspace on top of the shelves. Then they did some work in my laundry room with a closet to put my things like mops, brooms, with shelves in there and then an area with shelves and a space to hang clothes to line dry. Everybody that has installed for me has been very professional and extremely neat. They've always cleaned up everything and they've been very nice to deal with. I have recommended Peggy and Closet Factory several times to my neighbors and they have all been very pleased. I tell friends that they can come over and see what Closet Factory has done and then I give them Peggy's contact information and they go from there.

My sister-in-law had some work done with Closet Factory. It was an installation of some desk and bookcases. She recommended them and I used them a couple years ago to do a major installation. We just had the room renovated and the walls taken down so we were adding on to what we already have and used them again. We had an awesome designer, really top-notch. The installation was excellent too and their guy was awesome.
But with the shelves, we had the hole cut so wires could go down. On the top shelf, he cut it too close to the edge so the right corner didn't fit on the little tab that came out to support it. The hole was cut in the wrong place. I hoped we could get this one thing resolved. It was an additional shelf. All I wanted to hear from them was, "We'll come out there and replace that and do the whole collective for you," I just wanted a new shelf and I wanted the hole cut in the right place. I didn't want a rigmarole. Yesterday, they came and they fixed the issue. I'm perfectly happy with it.

The installer came and got it going and everything worked out from the get-go. He even left an additional shelf in the event that I wanted to change how I put it. Though the quality of the materials used could be better, the closet was still cool and nice from afar. And, I would’ve gotten an upgrade if I wasn’t poor.

I had three things done. I had closet done in my guest bedroom. Also, I had a tower created with a light over my son's bed, so that he could put his basketball trophies on top. It was easy but we had to think outside the box and they did a beautiful job because it wasn't a usual thing. And then I had cabinets installed in the garage. The designer was great. The other companies that we tried to deal with were always difficult about coming after business hours or on the weekend. We had Closet Factory install a closet in a master closet. The only thing that was odd about the installation was that one person ended up doing it. They required us two days to reserve for him to do the installation but he was done in half a day on both days. He left by 1:00 on both times. I was trying to find some options and the customization and materials from Closet Factory appealed to me. I had a custom mudroom done by them and the designer who worked with me was awesome. But I was completely over budget and she was really flexible and helped me make some trade-offs to keep the design. And we were able to get it down much more into my budget. She was great and I loved her.
The installation team was fantastic. They were on time and they were so clean. It looked like everything was already there. I worked from home that day and I could not tell that a worker was there at all and everything was done in one day. The materials were good quality and the people were absolutely friendly. I had a great experience with Closet Factory. We wanted our closet done and they had a coupon in one of our magazines in the area. I got two other estimates from other companies and the price range was very similar, but the design and the quality of Closet factory's layout were much better. Lori was our salesperson and she was fabulous. She was friendly, knowledgeable and was pleasant to deal with. With the other estimates that we had, we had people come in and they were very salesperson-y. I liked Lori better. She asked the right questions, really listened and redesigned with what we needed.
They came in and they knew what to measure for, they counted the number of shoes. They seemed more to personalize what we needed versus just a standard closet. We had them do the whole closet, shelves, and hanging areas. We had a big master closet and there is a husband section and my section too. And we didn’t even know the installers were there. They did it all in one day and wiped everything down which I thought was just the extra added niceness that that company did. They really cleaned it all and made everything looked nice and new. They made sure that everything worked and they walked in with me and made sure that I answered any questions.
On the cabinets, we had these glass window doors and from the moment they came in, they said that the ones that were ordered were backward according to the layout of our cabinet. They already knew that they had put in the order and it would be there four days later. And sure enough, four days later, they were back in my house and installed them. From start to finish, it was exactly the way that they had said it would be. I'm really happy with everything all around. I liked the pleasantness of the people that they brought in, the quality of their work, and the quality of the installation.

We've worked with Closet Factory about six years ago on our son's closet and we got them again to install a closet in one of the bedrooms. The designer we spoke to was knowledgeable and seemed to know what she was doing. However, it would've been better if we were aware of what the designers are capable of doing. There was a little bit of back and forth with what we wanted and what she said they could do and then ultimately what was possible. But it worked out so it was fine. The installation went fine and the room was very clean when I got home. Almost all the stuff is there now. They installed a laundry basket but they did not leave us the cloth basket insert. We still haven't gotten it and I need to call them about that.

We attended a home show and the representative from Closet Factory, Linda, was there. We liked her demeanor and the way that she presented the product. Also, we saw that their product was a good quality for the price point. That was the first company that we had looked at and we were pleased enough that we just went with them. They did our master closet. Our closet designer had another idea than what we originally did which worked out better. She was the expert and she was also conscious of our budget which we appreciated being retired. We liked her.
One guy did the installation and he worked at triple speed. He worked hard and cleaned everything up. I was very comfortable with him in the house. Everything was completed properly the first time. The designer checked back with us to make sure that we were happy and everything was good. If I decide to do the pantry, I will be calling them again. I would tell others to go ahead and meet with them too.

I saw Closet Factory on Facebook, and I liked the Closet Factory owner's page. I sent him an email and asked him if he works in Florida because it's a legitimate question whether they are licensed to or not. I just had knee surgery so I asked that they call me back after the 1st of the year. Then about three or four days later, a rep called and she was very friendly and very nice. So, wonderful follow-up. We had gone to Atlanta and went into The Container Store and looked around there and saw this closet. My wife said we needed to do that and I said I've already reached out to somebody. So we got Closet Factory over here and got an estimate. When I called them back, the girl that answered the phone knew who I was and remembered talking to me. She got Becky, their designer, come over.
The degree of professionalism and input and knowledge, and the ability to show the CAD designing or at least the thought of it which we had no idea what we wanted to do were a few of the main selling features of Closet Factory. I had an idea in my head of what it would cost and I'm sure I could always shop and find it for less, or maybe not. But because of the way everything went, the price was okay. So, in the suggestions that Becky made, we went with all of them. Then, there was a couple of shelves that we thought should have been there. They came back out and installed those. I don't think they even charged us for them, so it was a good experience.
But I'm a hoarder, and the actual installation itself sucked. It was the worst thing in the world. But Becky sent the racks out to us to put our stuff in, which made it really easy. And she offered a person that does closet organization, which we would have hired. We were going out of town and our schedules didn't meet up exactly and we figured we'd do the organizing ourselves. But she offered a few suggestions in regard to "If you haven't touched it in two to three years, you're probably never going to." We shop a lot and so we continue to put stuff in, but we don't take stuff out. Organizing the closet was difficult but the rest of the installation was seamless. The installers cleaned up after themselves, which I'm a real stickler for. It was a two-day deal and they were in and out. They knew what they did and everything else and we were very happy with our installation.
Closet Factory offered somebody to come in, pull all our shelves out, take those back, and paint the holes. But we have a guy that does stuff for us and we just had him do it. But it was nice for Closet Factory to offer somebody to do that, so the main thing is they thought about it every step of the way. The closet that we had installed was not cheap and it was not a huge closet. Closets in our old house were like a house. But it's 10 grand for a small closet with Closet Factory. So, when you've got a situation like that, you've got to take care of the people that you're dealing with. Otherwise, your business won't flourish. So, we were very, very happy with them and we already have told people to call Closet Factory.

Closet Factory is worth looking at. We were looking to do something with our closet and Closet Factory was one of the companies that we considered based on what we saw online. We considered the time frame that the closet could be installed and although Closet Factory was not the least expensive of our choices, we felt it was overall a good value. The designer came to the house and did the design for our master closet. We also met her up at the site they have here to see some of the installed products to get a better idea. She was easy to work with. The installers did a good job and they spoke English which was always a good thing in our area. The master closet was all done in one day.

I decided to go with Closet Factory after the first meeting with their sales consultant because of the information that she provided. I had a good experience throughout the whole sales presentation and delivery of the product. The interactions I had with their designers were awesome too. My installations experience was very well as well. It was awesome. However, I’ve booked a follow up appointment to look at some jewelry drawers that need a little tweaking. Still, I would absolutely recommend them.

My sister told me about Closet Factory and I liked her opinion of them. They created a built-in laundry area and an additional closet. They were both in the bedroom. We had an outstanding designer. She came to the house and clearly understood what we were trying to do and created a pseudo-model on her computer that we could see. The installation was excellent too. One person did everything exactly as we had expected it to finalize and the quality of his work was great. He was very clean. We would highly recommend Closet Factory to others. They were worth the extra expense. They were not the cheapest but they absolutely did exactly what we needed them to.

I Googled and Closet Factory had a perfect 5-star rating. If they haven't been 5 stars, I would have probably try to look for others. The designer was energetic, very thorough, and experienced. I had shelving, the long rod, and then double stacking rod for shirts and shorts in the master closet in the master bathroom. The installers were a few gentlemen who were extremely friendly and fun. When we took down our old closet racks they filled them in and caulked them which was really nice. We were gonna do that, but they did it anyway for us.
They got it done in about two hours less than what was quoted before they got there so that was pretty awesome. Eventually, when we save up more money, we will hire Closet Factory to come back out. And I would stress if I could have the same gentlemen just because they live near the area and they did a really fantastic job. I had a showing of my house and I told everyone that if they needed any work done on a closet, they should call no one but Closet Factory.

We had Closet Factory do some closets when we lived in Virginia Beach and we had them again do some more closets. I told the designer what I wanted and then she listened and did it. She was here for hours and did good customer service. It just took her a while to get through the program and so some training on the software could be good. Also, she didn't have anything else to suggest. I guess because I knew what I wanted, she never said, "Well, maybe if we try it this way..." The installation went well and team was very polite. And I really like the product. However, they could still improve on their clean up. They cleaned up a little bit, but it wasn't completely cleaned like the top-top shelf was still dusty. And then the deep shelves were still not completely cleaned.

We got a couple of different estimates and prices for the quality and cost of a closet organizer, and we selected Closet Factory. It was for our master bedroom closet and Thomas, the designer was very good on the design, in sending us what the design looked like online, and making modifications to the design to meet our needs. However, he said that one of the alarm boxes that we had in our closet was worthless. We had two alarm boxes there, one that was there when the house was built and one that ADT alarm services had put in a number of years ago. He said that one of them would impact our storage and it would be easier for the installers if this obsolete box was removed. He also said that since he had been in the business for 10 years, he'd like to remove the box for us, and we agreed.
When he began to open this box up where there was a whole series of wires, I asked if he was sure that he knew what he was doing and he answered yes. Then he started clipping wires. When I went out to check the alarm box by the front door, the panel was all taped up and covered. So, I got to my mobile app and saw a warning that nine functions were discontinued. Long story short, he annihilated my home alarm system. I had to have ADT come out for $635 and fix the damage that he had done to it. The technician had to match a wire to a door or a window then proceed to do that methodically throughout the whole house. He was here for five hours doing that and I was very displeased with Closet Factory's rep. He had good intentions but he didn't know what he was doing.
However, Closet Factory made it right in that the cost that I had to pay for the alarm system to be repaired was offset in the bill. The installers who came out also did a great job. The product was of good quality and the cost was reasonable. However, Closet Factory needs to stick to their core competency. They shouldn't go out and branch off something that they don't know what they're doing.

The installation was absolutely flawless too. The team was in and out like they’d gone SWAT team and you would never have known they were there other than the fact that things were complete. And it looked amazing. There were some really cool things that we were able to do with our pantry with the products that Closet Factory offered, like a butcher block countertop. Then we happened to go to a home show in Columbia where Closet Factory was one of the vendors and the gal that we dealt with was very nice and personable. She listened to what we were looking for and made it easy to figure out what we wanted. The closet they installed for us seems to be really good quality and substantial. The gentleman that did the installation was super nice, efficient, and very tidy. He also asked, as he was working, if there were any modifications we wanted. There were a couple of extra rods we had put on and he had some suggestions for some other things, so it went very smoothly. He did an excellent job and was easy to deal with. He cleaned up after himself, too.
All in all, Closet Factory seemed to be right on time with any appointments and they would make sure and call us if there were any other questions. I had a great installation experience with Closet Factory. The people they sent out were good and they have been very nice to me. I liked Cindy. She's one of the owners and I liked her product. She had sent somebody else to come out, but since I had already measured everything because I was gonna design and build one myself, the designer used my measurements. What happened, however, was my husband’s clothes were much longer than I had measured so we had to do some rearranging. And my husband isn't 100% satisfied because of that. While I should have been more proactive, the designer should have taken his own measurement. Mine was rough after all.
Other than that, after I was able to adjust myself to fit more things than I thought I could and I wanted to do this whole makeup and jewelry section, I found a coupon that Cindy had given me at the home show and it hadn't been taken into account when I had ordered my closet. When I called back and wanted these extra items - $400 for more shelving and two drawers they gave them to me for free.

The closet companies were all kind of the same and I went with Closet Factory more for the personality of the person I was dealing with, Missy. She had more questions than some of the other places that were just kind of standing around and not too curious about what my project was. And they all seem to be tossing around the same price.
We had the master closets done in a new construction home. My husband is an architect and that was the only one that I wanted to spend any extra money on. Missy came out and met us at the site, took measurements of the closet, and sketched out her thought. Then, she wanted to get her husband's input because he's a cabinet maker as well. We have curved walls, so she talked to him and got back to us with a quote and the design plan. We agreed to it and they made and installed it. My general contractor was there during the installation and he said the guy was really nice. The only thing is, I love to see custom closets more than modular but they're all modular. I went to a home show to see Closet Factory and another closet installer. I spoke to both of them and Closet Factory was the only one that returned my phone call. I didn't have time to pursue a lot of people because we were trying to move into the house and wanted to have that done before we moved in. Our designer was Danielle and she was very good, quick, and responsive to my questions. She met us at the house before all the sheetrock had been hung up. We went through everything we want to discuss about the closets. She came up with a rough idea of how the closet should be laid out. After all the sheetrock and trim work was done, she came back and measured everything and had to reconfigure her designs. And once she came up with a final design we accepted, she emailed us a copy of it and worked from there.
We had a 9 by 12 installed in the master bedroom closet, two walls of the closet area with hanging rods, one set of drawers and shelves put in, and another set at the very end of the closets for shoes. The young man that did the install and the closets did a fairly decent job. There were a few issues that haven't been dealt with yet about Closet Factory. Like there is a hole in the wall where it looks like he slipped, poked, and a screwdriver went through where he cut the baseboard trim. Also, one of the walls had pulled up and the paper of the sheet popped off, one of the boards that they had laminated for the bottom part of the closet is missing about six inches of the lamination on the edge, and the edge of one of the filler boards that they use between the main wall in the closet is all chipped and scratched up.
It's not detrimental and the only one that I really want repaired is where it's missing the laminate on the wood. Other than that, we haven't had any problems. Danielle had called me and left a message trying to follow up with the job and with us trying to get everything moved into the house and the way work has been going.

I looked at three different designs and the materials that they were gonna be using and it was comparable. We had Closet Factory do the master bedroom closet that has shelving, hampers and drawers. Julie was our designer and she was really awesome. She knew the line inside out and made suggestions based on what I told her we were looking for because there were some discussions to do a painted wood or something else. We did something else because I preferred to be able to wipe something down to keep it really clean. I didn’t wanna have to repaint and touch up things all the time. She helped me chose the materials, the handles and all of the gadgets that were in it like the tie racks, belt racks, the valet rods and everything.

I was doing some research for different closet companies online. I then came across Closet Factory and I read some of their reviews. Some are good and some are bad so I decided to contact them to get a quote. Right before them, I got a quote from Inspired Closets and it was way higher. When the Closet Factory customer service guy came by, he took a look at what I had. His name was Jason and he wanted to create something unique for me. So besides the money, it was his customer service that made me want to go with him.
In addition to that, the original guy that I had from Inspired Closets gave a generic closet. It didn't look unique and it didn't stand out. It didn't even serve what I needed it for. Like I have over 80 pairs of shoes and it came with only able to fit 50 pairs. Whereas when the Closet Factory guy came in, he told me what they can do for me. He even saw that I had wigs and he said that they can make a wig station for me. They can customize everything so that I can have exactly what I want in my closet. He also counted my scarfs and then he counted my hats and made sure that I have spaces for all my hats. He went in and was detailed and paid attention to what it is that I needed and what would be more useful for my closet. So now, I have this wig station where I put my jewelry and accessories. Then he saw that I have nice purses so now I also have a space to put my fancy and not so fancy purses.
It's like a dream closet where one would think that it's larger than what it is. But actually, I have one large wall closet and then one walk-in closet and he used every inch of space with no problems. Moreover, the guy that came out and did my installation was great. I was home and I was watching him install and make sure that everything went well. He measured everything to a tee and made sure everything fits well and tried to hide some of the imperfections that I had in my closet since I tried to do everything myself with the takedowns. Overall, the installation was smooth. In fact, I was contemplating on adding doors to my cabinets and my closets so they ended up coming back to put those up there.

But then the crew that came ended up removing the molding anyway, prying it off and just covering it up with the closet. So, I’m a little concerned that once we decide to ever take out the closet there’s gonna be some exposed parts back there. But the overall experience was easy and the service and quality were fair in terms of the price, especially if compared with going with an independent contractor.

I've known about Closet Factory for years and they did work for me after my girlfriend moved in and said she wanted something different. I had the plain, white, laminated boards put together and spread to the wall. Its design is very good and I also got four drawers. The interaction with the designer was excellent and she explained everything to me. The installation was very good. The installer was extremely easy to work with and to talk to. I really enjoyed him being there for the couple hours that he was there.
The designer called me to see if I was satisfied and I told her that I'm seriously thinking about adding more stuff to it, like doors and drawers. And I would like to see everything modular so I can move anything. The only issue I have with it is the price. I believe that that type of board is very inexpensive to purchase. However, I didn’t drill the holes. Their machine did so I gotta pay for that. I'd definitely invite friends to come over to look at it and let it speak for itself.

Closet Factory purchases material from my husband's business. I was very pleased with my experience with them. The rep that came out to talk to me and showed me everything was very nice and very personable. However, the wait time was kind of hard because once I decided what I wanted I had to wait eight weeks, but I understood it was custom made. The guys that came to put the closet together were very nice and very professional. It took them four hours and they had to come back one time to adjust one of the drawers but there was no problem at all getting them back. The drawers didn’t line up and one of them stuck out a little bit further and it didn’t close flush with the other drawers. It just needed to be adjusted on the door slide. They came out three days later because I was not available. They were gonna come but I wasn’t available to take them and fix it right away. It took them not even 15 minutes to do the adjustment and it’s been fine.
The designer did all the measurements and I was having a hard time trying to decide what all I needed as far as drawers, or hanging space, and shelving. It was an empty room and we just drew it up so I could get an idea how deep the drawers were or how deep the shelving was. It was a very good experience. She knew what she was talking about. Closet Factory was very professional, very easy to work with, and very easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend them.

I dealt with Closet Factory in the west coast and made a spare bedroom into a walk-in closet. Their designer was wonderful. He was the one who came here and I told him what I wanted. He sat down in front of the computer and designed my closet for me. Based on that, I decided to go for their deal.
Also, the guys from Closet Factory did a remarkable job. I'm very impressed and happy with them. If I wanted to put a futon or an inflatable in the walk-in closet if I have company, I would still have the room for that. However, I might have had something changed. There was a space left between one of the closets there. Closet Factory had rebuilt it and made it into two racks so I could put clothes up. But then, there's a space on top which I could still put things on. Maybe I should have had a sliding door put up there so what is placed there would not be seen but then I didn't think of that until after the fact.
While working with Closet Factory was a bit pricey, it was worth it. I had the work done in the west coast and of course, prices were different there. Still, I got what I paid for and I'm really happy with them. Their workmen were very respectful and on point. So, I have no complaints. Two people who saw the work that was done were very impressed. So, I referred them to Closet Factory.

I got two estimates for my unusually shaped room. Part of the decision to go with Closet Factory was the designer's approach to the room and the cost. I also had a friend who had used Closet Factory back east in Virginia. I had three sections for hanging clothes with shelves above and drawers below, and the inside of dressers installed. The designer I dealt with was fantastic. She came out for the initial consultation. She listened to what I was looking for in the room. Made a couple of suggestions, took a bunch of measurements.
Because the room's shape, she also said she might have to have someone else come out and double check the measurements to be sure that what we were talking about would fit. But, ultimately, she did the designs and worked with me to change things through email. We had a lot of emails back and forth. She wasn't overly pushy, but she did check in with me while I was making up my mind about certain things, and then scheduled installation.
The installation was fine. One thing that was a little bit interesting is that they told me that they needed to schedule me out a certain period of time because they needed two people available. So I was actually pushed back two weeks beyond what they told me the normal turnaround time was to get the installers schedule correct and the day of the installation, only one installer arrived. And he said, "Oh no, I never work with anybody else." So I thought that was a little frustrating that I waited extra for something that apparently wasn't necessary. But, he was able to complete it on his own. I have already done some minor rearranging of the shelves and hanging bar heights, but I might need another shelf made, so I can insert that at some point in time.

A lot of people don’t take time to get to know their customers, but he did. He was willing to spend as much time as needed. We had some kind of unusual request because we wanted the king bed and we only had a certain amount of space to put in a small studio apartment, and I was extremely pleased and would be happy to give them any other business that I can.

The design that Closet Factory gave was good and the designer was very thorough. She knew her stuff. She gave great recommendations and everything we threw at her, she figured back and worked on it and tried to come up with something that we all could agree on. We had a nook in our bedroom that we had a built-in closet made out of. And the installation experience had its ups and downs. They didn't have the right pieces half the time. We had to wait and they had to order the part again. It was the wrong size and had to do it again. So, it took a little bit longer than what I expected. The first time when they discovered they didn't have the part, they had to come back. There were maybe, three or four follow-ups before they finally got it. The third one was the part had to be ordered and it took a couple of days and then, they had to reschedule to fit our schedule.

And then, on the right side with mine, I had a place for long stuff and four separate things for short. Then I had the shoe shelves underneath.
The designer was really good. He was there, probably, for a while. He did inventory with everything that we had and assured us that it would definitely go back in there 'cause I got so much stuff in there. So, we sat at the table with the computer and designed it and it was a great experience. The installation went great as well. The installer was one guy and he came out. And he was there promptly about 8:30. He was very neat 'cause he had everything, all the tools and up in the bedroom. When he left, everything was spotless and clean. He did a fantastic job. I had two other companies come to the house and they couldn’t get it done soon enough. Closet Factory was able to come out right away, do an estimate and a consultation and then get me on the schedule. Even though it was 30 days, we got it done. They met my expectations and they were able to accomplish the things that we talked about.
We had a master bedroom closet done and the designer, Leanne, was wonderful. She was very friendly and personable, but still very professional at the same time. She really went above and beyond to make sure that she gave me the most that she could with the least amount of money. The closet was still expensive but she made sure that she stretched every dollar and maximized it. Also, the installation was a great experience. There were two gentlemen that came first thing in the morning and the lead installer was very young. He came with another gentleman who was much older than him and then a third person came. They said that it might be a one to two day job but they finished it in less than one full day. I was really surprised that they were able to get in and out that fast. They did a great job, and my closet has been very clean and organized ever since.
The manager then called to see if I was satisfied with everything. But Leanne personally called me as well just to follow up and see how everything was going. She called the day of the installation and then she called about three weeks later to make sure that I didn’t need anything and that everything was still functioning the way that it was supposed to, just to see if I was still loving the closet. I’ve already told four people about Closet Factory and two of the four have already called to schedule a consultation. Closet Factory was the first ones I called and they came out. I bought an 1890 Victorian Homes and the closets were timely. I had Closet Factory come in and put that one single rail and the two one side and then something tall enough for dresses and plenty of rooms for shoes in my master closet. And because they were so reasonable, I had them go ahead and buy a closet in my study as well and do a two-rack on one side and then shelving on the other side of the storage.
The designer was great. She listened to me. I had asked her a couple of questions about things that could potentially cost more money and she was real honest with me and just said, "You know, honestly, it's not worth the money for you to do that because you're not going to get any benefit from it," because I had actually asked her about my laundry room as well. She was kind of like, "Leave that, girl, and here are some closets. It's really the best you're going to get." So, I had them also come out and do something differently.
And it took a lot to go on the counter, but Georgia followed up with me and let me know what was going on and when and let me know that we were still on schedule and everybody showed up on time. The installation guy was also the nicest guy ever. He came out and did the install. He completed the job for probably six hours. I have a master bedroom for me and my wife so we had two big closets that for him and her. And I did my three daughters' closets and one of my daughters has a bench on the windows. We did the whole house and they spent the week working on it. I paid them 50% of the amount and after the installation, I have to pay them another 50%. I asked them “Can I pay a 25% and the other 25% ten days later?” And they accepted it which was nice. Everything was great including the design, the designer, and the installer.
What I didn't like was that this is a brand new house and all the closets have big shelves and the installer damaged the whole wall with the way he pulled one out. He knocked the shelf with a hammer and made a lot of damage. They weren't very gentle in removing the old shelves on the wall and they should try to be a little more concerned. I had to call some people and re-fix the stuff. I had to go through a lot of things after he left. But he was patient and hardworking. If I would hire somebody, I would hire him. And it wasn't his fault. I feel like it was Closet Factory's because they didn't give him the way or equipped him with the right equipment.
Also, they should follow up. They didn’t call me and ask, “Hey how’s everything? Do I need to come and check on things?” But I gave them a reference. She drew up several different plans for us to take a look at and after reviewing them, we decided on an option and scheduled the date. The installation was good. We had a full master bedroom closet done on two sides of the wall and it looked fabulous. Then in a laundry room, we had three cabinets installed but we had a little bit of an issue with a center cabinet. It was designed to have a pole underneath it to hang hangers with since it’s in the laundry room. But the cabinet ended up being too low. I have a top load washer and we thought we had measured it but when we put the top up, it hit the hangers.
Lori was great about fixing it. She came and remeasured. Although the job took two weeks afterwards, it was not a huge deal. They came in, shortened the cabinet and repaired some holes that had been damaged from pulling the rod in and out when we were trying to determine the size needed. Everything was fixed and is fine now. But a shelf was supposed to come with the middle cabinet but they did not bring it on their second trip. That's the only thing that we’re waiting on now. But it's not critical so I told her to take their time and to bring it the next time they're in the area.

But we worked our way back until we got something we were comfortable with. We had a pantry and a closet made and there was a laundry hamper in the closet, which was nice. We had a foldaway or hideaway ironing board installed. There were a lot of different closet rods on different heights and they were adjustable, so we really like that. There were also several drawers and glass-front cabinets.
The installers unloaded everything on the first day and laid everything out in both rooms. They showed me what different parts they were going to be installing, how some would get together and what I could expect when they were finished. They got about 90% of it finished the first day. They came back the next day and finished everything up, and they cleaned up and made sure I was satisfied with everything. It was easy. Plus our sales rep stayed in touch. The designer might have been let go and the owner called me. They redid it without charging me anything additional and it turned out beautiful. And the guy who came out and did it for me went above and beyond. He put an extra shelf in and he was very good.

The young lady who I spoke with made me feel like Closet Factory was going to take on any challenge and they did. The estimate that I got was good enough. We worked out a deal and we negotiated a little bit and found a place to agree upon. The designers came out when they were supposed to, they took measurements and they were on time. Everything went well. I had Closet Factory do a closet in the master bedroom. And it was well manufactured and put together and the installation guy did a great job with the fit and finish product. My wife also said that he cleaned up when he was done and all is well. The whole process was great and I appreciate everything that Closet Factory did and if we’d need another closet or once I need my pantry done, I’ll call them to come back out.

My builder uses Closet Factory for their closets and they were offered with the build. I had read about them before, so I knew they were a reputable company, and I've also seen their work in the models. They installed the His and Hers master closets. The designer was prepared when she came, and she knew her stuff. She was very professional and she listened to our needs. She was great and has done a good job. Everything looked great when we went back in and did our walk-through. It looked like it was all executed exactly as we discussed, and we also didn’t need them to come back to do anything. We had a great experience and we are very happy with the way that it turned out. I would definitely recommend Closet Factory.

I used Closet Factory after a friend recommended them. The designer was very nice. She just did a really odd job at designing the closets and made it almost impossible to get to the back of the closet. I had to have about half of it taken out. I live in an old building. So, it wasn't a brand new housing development and she's probably used to everything being easy to deal with. The installation went fine and the construction and the quality of materials were fine, but the gentleman who laid it out did a ridiculous job. He was kind of startled, too, by the design. But he just went according to what he was told to do and he did his part. The design was kind of poor. And I didn't want anything more to do with the company. My experience with Closet Factory wasn't very great, but it was okay. At any rate, it's all set up.

Closet Factory made the appointment fairly fast and they honored the Valpak right away. The lady who did the design for me was very professional. Initially, I got an estimate and her quote was a little high and more than what I wanted to spend, but it went so well with her and she was willing to work within my price range. She just drew me up a different design and got me down to where I wanted to be and what I wanted to get as far as what I needed. She made the deal work for me. The installer that came out was a one-man crew that was very hardworking and professional. He came and did his thing in a reasonable amount of time for being a one-person crew, and he did a great job. We're completely satisfied with the work that was done and I might be going with Closet Factory again in the future for another project.

We did four different rooms on four different installs. The first one was in the living room. We had built-ins on either side of our fireplace. We built a brand new home and the cost that the builder was going to charge for the built-ins was crazy. So we purposely left it blank and then had Closet Factory do it. We had a similar story with the mudroom. The builder offered an option for a bench and a couple of hooks and it was for thousands of dollars. So we declined that and then had a custom one put in from Closet Factory. The laundry room was the third one. There was a counter that was supposed to come in this home with a sink in it and I didn’t want the sink. And the builder wasn't budging so I told them to forget it, and I had Closet Factory do a counter and pullout laundry bins and furniture. And then, the last one was a full built-in in my husband’s office. Two of the four walls are full shelf built-ins with cabinets and cubbies.
We knew from the beginning that we wanted a lot done but we wanted to do it slowly over time. The team designer from Closet Factory did all the four projects. She started by coming out to the house with a computer and a sample and lots of pictures. And she gave me the general idea of how it typically looks, and why their products are better. I got to see how things were put together and samples of the board. After we talked for a bit, we got up and walk around the house. We went to every single room of the house and she helped make suggestions of things that weren’t even on the front of my mind. She did a really good job of showing me what could be without pressuring me to do things I didn’t want to do. And I know that at any point in time if I wanted the design drawn out for the other things that I want, she was happy to do it for me.
After that, we went back to the table and talked while she started some designs. And then she took more specific measurements of the things I was really certain of. And then, most of our interaction after that was done over email, because that was what I preferred and I could send email at work and we could go back and forth, and I could see the drawings without having to schedule child care.
My husband was here when they did the installation and the guys that did the living room was his favorite of all the different people that we've had. He thought they were very professional and everyone was on time. The installers did a good job adjusting on the spot and we had a couple of instances like a door didn't work so they told us that they were going to have to come back with a different door. But they were always really upfront about it and really timely in the return. Everything was done in the timeline. Closet Factory did a really good job of pulling our ideas out of our heads, and I've recommended them.

I've known Closet Factory for years and wanted something specific done so I had them build a shelving unit in my family room. I called the representative for my zip code and made an appointment with the designer. She came out and we discussed what I wanted. She measured and took notes of what the design that I had in mind. In a couple of days, she sent me drawings but I didn’t like them. So I called and we discussed adding a bridge and crown molding and removing cabinets. She also told me that end lights wouldn't be feasible for that particular unit and that I could do some stick-up lights. She worked those designs into the final product. She was great and very informed of the product.
The installers were quick and professional. They came with the prefab material, which I didn’t know about because I was expecting a unit. I gave them simple instructions and said what I didn’t want and they had those in their notes. They went by the plan, put the unit together and it came out lovely. The lighting was really good as well.
However, I had electrical outlets that were cut out of that wall unit and I needed two holes cut in the unit so that I could drop the electric cord through the bottom shelf to get to the outlet but I couldn't because there were no holes. That was in the original design plan. If I had noticed that there wasn’t a hole, it could’ve been easily added. But I didn’t notice until after I went to set a radio that I couldn’t plug in. So I spoke with my design rep about it and she understood what I was saying. She checked back and told me it would be $100 a hole which was ridiculous. But other than that, I got what I asked for and I love the unit. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend them to a friend.

I like Closet Factory's very detailed and professional design, their reputation and their non-gimmicky. There was another company, locally, who had a price of $11,000 but were taking 40 percent off and their representative said, "Well, let me talk to my manager and see if we can get the price down if you sign today." I don't like that kind of stuff. I want to know the price and no gimmicks, and Closet Factory was very professional and has much, much nicer design. And the other company tried to undercut by doing 12-inch deep shelves instead of the 16 deep that Closet Factory does. In fact, they just built a cabinet for us, in addition to the closet. And the cabinet is absolutely beautiful.
Jenny, the designer, was wonderful, super sweet and super professional. Not only was the design beautiful but very easy to work with when making some changes. And even if it was a weekends or evenings, she still responded immediately with an answer to any questions and resolution right away, where I said, "Hey, can I do this? Can I change to that?" The installer was awesome too. He did the projects and all the work, including the trim work and the details, were done impeccably. And he cleaned up and vacuumed everything up.
We had, roughly, a 20-foot walk-in closet installed. It's a custom closet with some drawers and shelves and hanging space and shoe shelves. And then, we also had a custom cabinet built in the bathroom. We had a big open alcove kind of weird space and Jenny designed the cabinet for there with a pull-out hamper and drawers and cabinetry. I already sent pictures out to all my neighbors and friends, showing them the before and after and they were like, "Wow?" And I told them, "You've got to let me know if you want to do it all, and I'll get a hold of Jenny or somebody."
First of all, when we looked at this, my husband was resistant and I would tell people, I think it's going to enhance the value of the home, having everything organized. I found that I have duplicate pairs of shoes, multiple sets of duplicate. And fortunately, I was able to take some of them back because they were recent. So, by having clutter closet, you can't find anything. Charity benefitted. We had 24 bags of clothing and shoes that went to them and it makes life so much easier. The work done saves you time in the long run. It helps the resale of the home. We're downsizing in five to seven years and I told my husband, "I will never move again unless you agree to put a closet like that in the next home." We will use Closet Factory and they will put another one.

They had one person doing everything, whereas when we were in Tampa and had our closets done, a team of three or four people were sent to work on it. I had the master bedroom closet and my pantry done by Closet Factory. I really liked the guy when he came out. He's the guy that goes out, does the estimates, looks at it and designs it. Then he sends back 3D pictures so you can literally see your room. I knew what my closet and pantry were going to look like just by looking at what he did, and I was impressed with that. He used to be an engineer, and engineers are very detailed, which I like. That sold me right there and it caught my attention when he said he had been doing it for over 20 years.
Not only that, but then I stopped to see him because I had to pick out the colors of my handles, and I ended up tweaking a few things. I said, “I didn’t know all the steps that you can do on the closets. I should have gotten a belt rack for my husband.” He said, “I can add it in.” I ended up adding that and then I ended up adding four doors. And he was like, “I can figure it out where it will all work.” And he ended up adding some things in and it just made it even better.
I had a pretty big closet and a big pantry. They figured it would be six weeks, and the installers came early in the morning and worked all day. They're probably the best workers I've ever had in my life because they they didn’t take any breaks. They came in and I didn’t hear a peep out of them. They just worked, and it was great. It was very expensive and the timeline was way out there. I was impressed when Closet Factory came out and said they could get it the work within a month. Our wire closet system fell. I used a Closet Factory coupon and had them install a walk-in closet in the master bedroom. The designer was Tom and he was nice, very courteous and friendly. The installation experience was fine and painless. I let the guy go upstairs and he cleaned up after himself when he left. However, they should give an explanation of the finishing of the wall. Because the guy ripped the things out the wall and just plastered over it. I would have probably done the prepping of the wall space if there were prior instructions. If I would have known, I probably would have took everything out, painted it and it would’ve been waiting for him to do the installation. I had that done in my other house and that's what they told me to do.
Then I had another misunderstanding. Something was sticking, and I couldn't get it to go back in. And I had an issue about the hangers. If it's completely full, I can't close the closet. They told me to just push the hanger back so I told then that I paid them a good, hefty amount for me not to use the closet system as it's supposed to be. They really didn't serve the purpose. We still can't close the door if there are three to four hangers past where the doors are supposed to close. There's space for hanging clothes on the left-hand side of the closet system but that space is gonna be open if we wanna close the door, so it's space paid for that can't be used. It was $2,000 down the drain.

Closet Factory's quote was fair and what they modeled for me was exactly what I was looking for. I was happy and I went ahead with the process. I had them do two chairs on the long wall so I could have a hanging solution and some shelves. And then, on each of the back wall, I have a place for my purses and shoes on one wall and a pullout hanger stuff on the other wall, so they gave me an organization deal. And then the other thing I had was organization put into my laundry room.
The Closet Factory designer was super sweet. There was something going on with the traffic, and she called and made sure that we knew that she was running a little bit behind and why. And then, she had plenty of samples with her and gave me some suggestions because she could tell that I was a little bit confused with what I wanted. She was able to guide me through and say, “If you get this with this background, that would get that little pop that you want. Or how about this particular option for hanging your pants?” Those were things I wouldn’t have thought to ask for myself but made a huge difference in the organization of the closet.
I was at work during installation but my husband was home for all of that. When I got home at the end of the day, everything was cleaned up and tidy. And by the time the installer was done during his last day, he showed me everything that he put in. We had a sliding barn door put in and he showed me how it works. I had a couple of people come out for quotes and I felt Closet Factory has more to offer in terms of options than the other people that I was looking at. I had two projects by Closet Factory. I used them two years ago and then about a year or so later, I used them again. The most recent one was a home office. So, we had a desk, shelving, lateral files and some storage cabinets. I worked with the same designer both times and this time was a bit bigger project. It took us six weeks to come up with the final design. Her name is Julia and she’s really good. She offers a lot of design options and upgrades. We would talk about what we want, then she would draw up something, and then the budget would be over what I was looking to spend. We would talk about it and figure out a way I could incorporate some pieces of furniture that I already had to try to help save money and to make it all blend.
The installation was easy too, which took them one day. We just have to move all the stuff out of their way. And, they cleaned up all the stuff afterward. I had a bunch of lateral files installed and they forgot to give me the insert to hang the files in. I didn’t realize they were supposed to come with that. When the designer came to make sure that everything was okay, I asked her about it. She said we should have all that stuff so they brought them to me. I was pleased with the service and would use them again. I would tell others that they should check into it too. Another plus for the Closet Factory is that it has basically lifetime warranty. And then if you move, you can move the stuff with you. If we’re going to go to the extent of having all the stuff built, then portability would be a nice option rather than just having it demolished and removed.

I had a whole walk-in closet redone. They put in shelves and racks. The designer was excellent, very friendly, and she measured everything. My wife and I liked her a lot. We had ripped everything out. The installers came and put the closet in in six hours. It was fantastic. Closet Factory got it done and knocked it out. It was painless.

I liked what Closet Factory did for one of my friends. So I had them do some shelves, a shoe rack on one of the walls and then hanging space done as well. The designer was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The installers were very respectable and professional too. I like how quick installation went - one day. I also got the result that I was hoping for. The product looks nice.

We purchased a new home in September of 2017 and we were looking to upgrade my wife's closet and get her situated with her needs. She did some research in the Richmond area where we live and Closet Factory came back as the most well-reviewed of the options that we had. Being able to show a digital model of what we were looking for was extremely helpful and the amount of options they offered was great as well. Everything was very upfront on the pricing and it was all itemized right there. Also, there was no kind of hidden fees or pricing curves that we had to run into.
The designer was very good, catered to exactly what our needs were, and very responsive. The design appointment went very well and we were very pleased with how quick and clean it was all presented. The installer did a great job, too, and we were pleased with his attention to detail. He was conscious of being in our home as well. He put down drop cloths and was very easy to work with. We had a $4,000 install and overall, Closet Factory was keeping their process very simple but their service was good. However, I would encourage them to ramp up their installers to get products assembled quicker. This particular location was very busy, so, it took us a few months to get on the install schedule.

I had used Closet Factory a long time ago and I decided to go back to them because I liked their work. They did two closets in a home office to make space for hanging clothes, and then there are some drawers and shelves as well. The designer was very knowledgeable. He made some suggestions and understood what we were trying to accomplish. Also, the installation went great. It was just one fellow and he did a good job, though he had to come back a second day. I would recommend it.

Closet Factory was the first place we called and we were happy with the estimate. So, we didn’t even get a second opinion and decided that’s what we wanted. We had built-in bookcases built in our family room and a new mantel. The designer, Jenny, was very nice. However, it was very hard to envision the final layout of what it was going to look like from the computer-generated model. The little wood samples in the computer-generated model don't do it justice. My husband and I went over to the showroom and that’s what really allowed us to make up our mind. If we didn't do the showroom, we might have continued to look or had another opinion.
The installation was all done in five days and Dave was great. He worked really hard all the time and came with his own drink and lunch. He just said he'd stayed out and he never even took a break. But we had a problem with one of the doors and they had to replace it twice. The second time that they came out, they knew the door wasn’t right but they were in the middle of moving. They wanted to get the case closed up because we collect hand blown glass and we have 300 pieces of glass that’s why we put the cabinets in. While they were getting the new one, they just put a temporary one up there and there was a crack in the wood on one of the doors.
Also, we’ve had Dave back out to add some additional lighting because we didn’t think we had enough light. But we have had a problem with the dimmer switch on those lights and we couldn’t turn the lights on or off, they would just stay on. The last one that went out, they were lighting and dimming by themselves. We had to unplug them because we couldn’t do anything with them. But they've both been replaced and Dave said that was the only time he has ever had a problem with them.

I wanted a Murphy bed with shelvings and Closet Factory came up with something so beautiful. I have it installed at my office and a lot of people come into this place. I'm a Pastor parent and accountant and I wanted to use my guest room as my office but I didn't want it to look like a bedroom. This doesn't look like a bedroom at all. This is a very professional office. And when I bring that bed down it's amazing. I love it.
The people from Closet Factory are also wonderful. They came in to measure and the designer drew. He was a great guy - very professional. He talked to me, picked up what I wanted and he looked around my other pieces that I had in the room and took those into consideration. Then he gave me a drawing a couple of weeks later with different options. He knew what he was talking about all the way through. And then someone else came back and showed me the materials that I could choose from, like the different phasings and colors.
Everything was already pre-built. The installation team just had to put it on my wall and they cleaned everything out. The end product is amazing and according to what they said it's guaranteed for life and I have the certification. And they showed me that they really use real wood for the actual building of the things and it looks very good and strong. I really looked at the pieces before they installed that and it is really wood that they used inside. I've been recommending these people from Closet Factory to everybody. I even wrote about them on different places because I think when you have customer service like that you have to mention it.

From what I knew about the market and how much the job would've cost, they had a competitive price and a lifetime warranty so I took them. They installed a walk-in closet. The interaction I had with the designer was flawless. They customized the closet to our needs, our height and size. It was very personal. The installation was perfect which was done in four hours. We'll do our other two closets through them in the next couple of years. Closet Factory tailors your closet needs to your budget, and it's customized to your body essentially.

I really appreciated the extent of the design that Closet Factory did for us. They came by and talked and saw the space as did the other factory that I looked at. But I just felt that Closet Factory had a lot of good experience and background. And some of my neighbors and friends had used them several times. The designer came out a couple of times and showed us a possibility from the computer. She was very knowledgeable and had great ideas. I also had a drawer in my kitchen that I wanted a divider, and she was able to find one that fits in there. That was just work on the side, so she was very flexible.
We had two closets done by Closet Factory. One was a closet under a stairway that I wanted to use to store crafts supplies. It was a little bit tricky because it was sloped down. But they were able to fit the shelves and hang some baskets on the side. So, I was very happy with that. And then the other one was a large rectangular closet in the garage. We had no shelving at all in there, so they designed some shelves and some areas for hanging tools. The installation went on and off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend them. We have another project and we would definitely call them again.

And they sent it to me through the emails. I’ve worked with two designers and both of them have been perfect. One of them did three jobs but she left for maternity leave and had not returned so I had somebody else do two jobs.
The installation was quick and harmless. Everything was clean, nice, and neat. I’ve done five jobs with Closet Factory and I'd keep going back. I would highly recommend them. From start to finish, every step of the process, getting back to you, and the communication is like right away. My wife's closet was redone and we had laundry room cabinets done by Closet Factory. The designer made himself easily available, showed us multiple options that we could choose from, gave us multiple designs for the same space, discussed the budget then made changes to fit the budget and responded very quickly. Everything went really good. The installation exceeded my expectations because I was working home at that time and what I feared was the installer was just going to go and install it without asking me any questions along the way. It would've cost a rework or I might have been unhappy. But he asked questions perfectly timed so that I was able to give my input and that worked out perfectly during the install process.
We already had existing cabinets in the laundry room space and from the plans, you couldn't tell whether the bottoms of the cabinets were supposed to line up or top of the cabinets were supposed to line up. So, we discussed the laundry room plan and if I wanted the space in between the cabinets or on the wall, so those little things really helped a lot. Overall, the work done by Closet Factory was more expensive than I thought, but you get the quality and the workmanship you paid for and I would recommend them.

It was perfect. Closet Factory did a marvelous job and I was very satisfied. They were very good to work with, very fast, and they knew what they were doing. We heard about Closet Factory through an interior designer and we took her recommendation. We had custom closets installed in our master bedroom and our guestroom. They were essentially modular custom that had different types of hanging and different size cabinets. The designer came with the kind of computer to do the sketches right there on the spot, which was great. We were able to approve it that day. Then they gave us a bit of time to think it over and make sure we wanted to do it. Once we ordered, we had basically no interaction, which was great. Then they arrived to install it, so it was seamless. Everything was good during installation, though it took a little bit longer than expected. It was just one guy who came and did that on his own. I attempted to get other estimates and the other place that I called didn’t show up the first time and then had to reschedule two more times. I had already used Closet Factory 15 years ago so I figured I'd go with them again. I had them install cabinetry and it was in a little cove off the kitchen that I’m using as an office/pantry area. I emailed the designer and she emailed me back right away, and we set up a time for her to come to my house and she did. Then, she came and did the measurements, she did the design and we met at a store location in Tysons Corner, where we looked at some of the products and did finishing details. And then, after the initial installation, she came to the house to check everything.
There were a couple of things that I knew still needed to be done that we were waiting on pieces, and the installer came and did that a week ago. It was a little late, but he was an awesome person too. He was very friendly and pleasant. This is an old house and my designer had said they didn't cut anything strictly in old houses. The installer removed a three-foot section and said we needed to do it, and I got the impression after the fact that it really didn't have to be done. But he was great in terms of telling me what needed to happen. All in all, it wasn’t exactly how I thought it would go but everything’s fine and I’m satisfied. We decided on the materials and the color. Then they said they would order the parts and notify us when they were in. That was right around the holidays and I was travelling and was out of town, so it took about three weeks because of the delay in my schedule. Some friends of mine had work done with Closet Factory in the past and they would brag about how good Closet Factory was. I told Michael, the sales rep that I was working with, that I was considering either getting bookshelves built into the wall or an entertainment system and he said, “How about you combine the two?” so he sketched something very detailed. The guy knew what he was talking about. He explained the measurements to me and what would happen each step of the way.
I installed hanging a closet that was divided into five places to hang clothes. They also built drawer dressers inside with the actual shelving, and I got a tie rack as well as a belt rack. The installation went well and the work was excellent. Great craftsmanship. I was taking pictures of it and then just watching it come to reality and I thought it looked exactly like the blueprint. I've been getting so many compliments and I needed that space. I previously had clothes on the floor, and then at the top shelf we have had clothes all over the place. Having a dresser and then shelving inside opened up more space so I love that. I just bought a shoe rack because previously my shoe racks were inside the closet.
But when the guy took out my old closet's existing pieces there were spaces on the wall, like how something was hanging for a while then was so off, you see the paint and then the wood that’s underneath. That remained there but I knew I needed to take care of that. But when the closets were installed, I was expecting a backing to be placed behind the bookshelf but the guy said it doesn’t come with one. That was weird, so I kept asking about it since I thought there has to be something to block the wall out. They did not tell me ahead of time that that backing would not be put on the back of the shelving.
I had a small conversation with the designer as he was putting the shelving together and as he was coming back and forth, then cleaning up after himself, and he was open with his communication. They had to come back a second day because I didn’t have anywhere where he could cut the wood so he did when he left my place but when he came back on Saturday, he had all the pieces he needed to complete the job.
I would do another job with Closet Factory. If you’re looking to get a closet installed, and personalized, call them. I told one of my best friends of 30 years about the project as it was going along and he asked me to let him come check it out. And when he looked at it, he then asked how much it cost me and when I told him he said it wasn't bad at all. I said, “Absolutely not.” I gave him Closet Factory's contact information.

From a husband’s standpoint, getting my wife to sit down and come up with a design was virtually impossible. The sales consultant came in, made an appointment for 11 o’clock in that given morning, and by 12:30 he had the design. She could see it, he did it on his laptop and everything was done. It was very user-friendly.

I also did a few excess rooms like scarf holders and belt holders which I totally love.
The designer was excellent. He knew the products and was two steps ahead of me. He listened to me, made recommendations, and helped me make choices about spacing for our shelves. Like when I was going to do drawers on the same width, he said that some things are thicker than others, like for underwear, it doesn’t need to be that deep, so I’d need a pretty slim drawer for that, whereas maybe socks or workout pants might be thicker. It was very smart advice to utilize the space for the best, and that was what I did. It was very customized. It's not the biggest closet, but we didn’t want to look at the old wire system that was in there. So, we had our consultant come out, do a measurement, and make recommendations on how to best use the space. Our designer, Tom, was very experienced. He'd been with the Closet Factory for 20 years and that number rang a bell, almost from the start. He was very personable, very friendly, knowledgeable, and he promised on his delivery. It wasn’t a complicated space and we didn’t have a lot of designs to choose from, but he shared different materials and ways of doing things until we found what we wanted.
When it came to installation, only one person was needed to do it. He was supposed to be there at about 8 o’clock and he was right on time. I liked the fact that the facility that they operated out of was close in case anything needed to be done. But he had all the materials with him and he was done within a couple of hours. I had a friend who had used Closet Factory and referred them and I also got coupons in the Valpak. I’ve used them two times. The first time, they came out to install a closet system in a tiny closet. I live in a small old house that has 3 x 3 closets that don’t store very much and they put in a double stacked closet unit. So, I have two bars and a nice shelf. And it’s gorgeous. Then, the second product was a really large project. They installed a Murphy bed with a floor to ceiling shelving on either side of the bed and a desk that’s also part of the unit with a shelving over it.
I worked with Tom, the designer, for both times. He came to the house, took some measurements, and we talked a little bit about what I wanted. He did a 3D rendering right there at the kitchen table and showed me how it would work. Then, talked about the options on what we could do and we looked at the variations of what could be done, more so with the Murphy bed than with the closet because the closet is so tiny. There were limited options but we talked about colors and accessories like lighting.
By the time it was all done, we had looked at every option. We added all kinds of features and back features out. And we had a good time. It was a great experience and I enjoyed sitting down and talking through what was it that I was trying to achieve. He listened and we put it on paper and made it come to life. Both installments were just a one-day install and everything went perfectly. One took longer than the other and one took two people and the other, one person. But it was fine. All the materials were available, everything fit, and everybody was super clean and polite.

I got a custom closet with Closet Factory for my master bedroom, guest room, second bedroom. They are all white with silver. The closet designer was perfect and the installation team were also good.

We liked the design, the price, and the adjustability of Closet Factory and they installed the master closet. It is great and we love it. We got a good experience doing the upgrade of the closet and we liked how quickly they were able to turn around the product as well as gave us some flexibility when we wanted to change where we hang things.

I did a web search for custom closets and I made appointments with a couple of different companies. One was California Closets which we didn't like. Closet Factory had better quality products and features available. The designer came out and was really knowledgeable. She did a great job of listening to what we needed. She measured all of our clothes, looked at what we had and came up with a great design.
We had two closets made, his and hers reach-in closets. Each one was designed with a different hanging space, shelving and drawers depending on what we needed. A couple of guys came for the installation and they were very polite. They did excellent work, it was really easy and painless. Everything was great and the pricing was very reasonable too. It was a little bit less than California Closets. People should definitely go with Closet Factory and not even bother talking to anybody else.

Closet Factory was a little overpriced, but for the size of the closet, I didn't think it was such a big deal. I got a closet on one side and shelves on the other side, and four drawers in the middle. It's only been installed for a few weeks, but it's good quality. The designer was a little all over the place, but she was okay for the most part. However, she said she would follow up with us to see how the end result was, and she never called. I sent her pictures and she didn’t even comment on them. But the installer was great and very professional. He came in, did what he had to do and cleaned up.

We took an appointment with one of Closet Factory's representative, and she came in and we told her about our ideas. And we didn’t go around, we liked her and her ideas. The installation took three days but it was finished on time and the installers were really good. They installed the study room, all the bedroom closets, and a few cabinets next to the fireplace on either side. They cleaned up everything after they were done with the work. There were some few issues, and they came back and they fixed everything. I liked their work and I’m happy with them. I would definitely refer Closet Factory to my friends. I referred a couple of my friends and they are also going with them.
