My stairlift from Bruno is just wonderful. It helps me so much. I have lupus nephritis and I lost all mobility. I am unable to walk because of the medication and all the treatment. We originally went to Motion's and they dealt with Bruno. The sales rep we've had was very good and informative. He helped us through the whole process. We were thinking of the curved stairlift but it was too expensive, so we went with a straight one and we're happy that we did. The installation was wonderful and the team was very professional too. So far, the stairlift's quality is good. I like the whole thing.

Having problems going up and down the steps, I decided on getting a stairlift and had a wonderful experience with Bruno. I had other stairlift companies come as well but I was more impressed with Bruno. They did a little bit more explaining to me, and then the other ones just told me that they were gonna have to use two stairlifts - one at the top of the step and then a second one. It would take me only to the top of the steps, and I have to still walk up to the other four steps. Bruno told me they’d make it all the way to the top of the steps, I wouldn’t have to still walk four steps. Then they came out and told me they were gonna measure, it didn’t work out. So they came back again and measured, instead of working it all out. And the reps were very cordial, explained everything to me, so I was satisfied.
Things went great as well dealing with the installation team. I was having a rough day that day, so I was asleep. They woke me up to tell me they were done and then they gave me a demonstration on everything. I got a curved stairlift and it's of great quality. It’s serving its purpose exactly. And I have recommended it to someone else.

Because a stairlift would help my husband go up and down the stairs, we went to the VA and they chose Bruno for us, which had the best rate. We got a straight stairlift and my husband said the installation was good and they explained everything. The stairlift is really nice and helpful. When my husband goes upstairs and downstairs, he uses that instead of falling up and down the stairs which he was doing in the past. Overall, our experience with Bruno has been wonderful.

We needed a stairlift because of my husband’s injury. Bruno's reps came out right away and we decided to purchase from them. They did a great job and they were very nice. There was also a demonstration on how to use the stairlift. We got the straight one and it brings my husband, Steven, up and down the stairs well. Without it, he wouldn’t be able to go upstairs and take a shower. The quality is also excellent and the cost was appropriate.

I have Parkinson's. We looked for a stairlift on the computer and we got Bruno stairlift at Alick's Home Medical. The sales rep was good. We had a straight stairlift installed and it fits really good. The installer did a demonstration of how everything worked. However, we've had a bit of trouble with it where it didn’t go up or down and this is the third time it has happened. The second time my husband called the guy that put it in, he said that he thought it was a thing that you put your feet on. It started working and then it worked after that. So, we didn’t make an appointment, but I guess we should get it checked to see why it does that.

I have difficulty walking up and down the stairs so I decided to purchase a stairlift. It so happened that Bruno's stairlift was the most convenient for us to buy and so we went with them. Their representative came out and measured our stairs. We decided where the stairlift was going to be located and once I got approval from our doctor, everything went ahead. We got a straight stairlift but then we had two staircases coming to one landing and it was a matter of where it fit most conveniently. Nevertheless, the one we got fits fine and their installation team was done in less than two hours. Since getting the Bruno Stairlift, life has been easier for me.

My husband needed a stairlift but then we didn't like the other provider we had. The guy from Bruno whom I called was exceptional. He came right away and with no push to buy anything. He told me exactly what the stairlift was. He was terrific and a nicer person one couldn't find. So, I got a straight stairlift from them up from my basement where we needed it.
Also, their installation team couldn't have done better. They were informative and they told me what they were gonna do. They were neat, clean and orderly. They left absolutely no mess and I was in awe. They made sure that we knew how everything worked and if we had a problem, to call them and they would come right away. Since they were fairly younger, I was a little afraid but then they had respect for the elderly. They were respectful in explaining things and didn't make us feel stupid. Since getting the stairlift, my husband can get to the basement now and we can get there if we need to run because we're in Tornado Alley. I'm happy my husband can use it.

I have COPD, I'm on oxygen, and my bedroom is upstairs so I decided to buy a stairlift. I'm a veteran and VA took care of choosing Bruno as my stairlift provider. The installers came and measured, and they acted just like part of the family. The installation was easy and it didn't take them long. The stairlift I received does a fine job.

My father can’t make it up and down the stairs and he chose the Bruno stairlift. He had the straight stair installed in Tenafly and the quality is excellent. The experience couldn’t have been better and it’s a lifesaver for him in the house.

I had two older stairlifts in the house but they weren't strong enough for me because I'm a heavy man. I bought two other ones from another company. The stair lifts needed a repair and that company went out of business. I called this local company and they came in. They wanted $1,800 to $2,000 to fix them. I told them to just put it to a new chair. I bought one Bruno chair for the basement and I liked it. I also replaced the one on the second floor with a curved rail.
The company that had installed the Bruno stair lifts and the company that sold them to me were excellent. They came to the house, talked to me and showed me videos. They did an excellent sales pitch. The installation was excellent and clean. The only one question I had for them that they couldn’t answer was on that one chair with the curved rail. There’s a green light when it’s charging on the left side and when it goes up to the top of the stairs, there’s a yellow light on the right side. They couldn’t tell me why the yellow light was there. It’s lit all night.
I would understand that if there's a green light, it’s fully charged. But yellow means like a warning to me. One girl said to me that the yellow light is just there to tell you it’s charged. Another girl said it’s there as a nightlight. I spoke to Dave, the owner of the company that installed the stair lifts and he said he would find out and get back to me. I’m still waiting for him to get back to me. Even so, the Bruno stairlifts are so quiet that my family don't even know I'm on it. The other ones used to wake my family up when I use them during early in the morning or late at night. I would recommend Bruno to others.

I live in my daughter's house which is an apartment over the garage. It's a four-room apartment and it’s perfect for me but my son and son-in-law got so scared with how steep the steps are. They collaborated, came up to me, and told me that they were buying me a chairlift. My son-in-law is 6'4" and my son is 6', so when they're at the top of the steps looking down, it scares the hell out of them. I'm only 5'2" so it doesn't show that steep to me. Also, I’m 77 and very active. I exercise and the stairs were my exercise when I'm at home. But my sons told me that even if I don't need the stairlift now, eventually, I might need it.
My sons told me to get all the different companies to show me what's good and I decided on Bruno because I didn't need a cushioned seat. I didn't need all the electronic buttons, and bells and whistles on a chair that goes up a flight of steps. It only takes a minute. It was ridiculous to spend $4,000 and with Bruno, it was $2,850 which hit the spot. I liked it.
Also, I liked who I was dealing with at Bruno. Heather was the sales rep who came to the house and she was very knowledgeable. I used to be a sales rep myself, so I'm very hard to sell to. But the Bruno reps were nice and their personalities clinched it. I got the straight stairlift and the young man, Nick, who came to install it was terrific. He was extremely neat too. He explained everything to me and everything was done right in two hours. I'm very pleased with the stairlift. Now, I don't have to walk up and down the stairs if I don't feel like it. I was very satisfied with the whole process and very happy with the company that I dealt with. Everything has worked out beautifully.

My wife is handicapped and can't go up and down the steps. We decided to purchase a stairlift and got one from Bruno. Their sales representatives were very nice. The stairlift was installed and is in a place where it's very tight. I wanna call the company back and see if there's an adjustment on the seat where they can make a little more room. The stairlift fits but when we ride it, we don't have much room to clear our knees and we hit the wall. If it can be turned or changed some way, it'll probably be a whole lot better. But other than that, the installation was really nice and fast and the quality of the stairlift is nice as well. I am very satisfied with Bruno.

When I had troubles going upstairs, I looked at a number of stairlift places and got quotes. Except for Bruno, the others didn't really respond to my request for quotes very well. Some of them just ignored it so they didn't come over. Bruno came over and their sales person was very cooperative and informative, and did a good job of explaining everything. I got a curved stairlift and it works fine in the stairwell. Everything's great. It seemed pretty expensive and more than I expected that I have to pay. But on the other hand, it's a nice stairlift, it works good and I'm happy with it. So I'm not upset really. Bruno did a good job.

My two daughters and son-in-law explained to me why I was gonna have a Bruno stairlift and took care of all of it. A young man came and was very good. He came when they said he would come and explained everything to us. When the stairlift was installed, the technician made it go up and down and showed me. Then he sat me on it and I asked if he was sure. I wasn't quite sure if I'd really go or not but I was told that if I don't push the right button, I won't go any place. That person was very nice and the stairlift was all right. I have a walker down at the bottom so I can get up out of the chair and then go to the door. I cannot go out but I can open my front door and see who is there.
When my legs ache very badly, I'm gonna sit on my Bruno stairlift and ride up and down the stairs just for the fun of it. Its overall quality is very good. I'm 91 going on 92 but with the Bruno stairlift, I can go downstairs without having to have someone with me. It saved a lot on my daughters and son-in-law to not have to help me up and down the stairs. I'm very pleased with Bruno and if families can afford it, they should get it for the old people who have a hard time getting about.

I got the company that sold Bruno Independent Living Aids off the internet. I called that company and a salesman came out. He was a very effective salesman. I put in two lifts and he sold me those. I made half the payment and a week and a half later, they scheduled to put the lifts in. The guy that put them in was great. One of them was perfect, while the other needed some adjustment. He came out about three days later and made the adjustments very quickly. I couldn’t be happier. In my case, it was getting to be almost a life-threatening thing to not have one, so it’s wonderful to have it. I even got a book on the Bruno company, the biography or autobiography of the guy that started it. I read it and they’re obviously a great company and the products are great. The one I have for the car was a Bruno lift too, and it's working beautifully.

I had a Bruno stairlift installed for my dad who's 94. Although he's in assisted living, I wanted to purchase one for him so he can have access to the upstairs bathroom. I've had knee surgery and I've used the lift a couple of times and so far, it has been working well. Bruno seemed like a reputable company. And I knew that Craig, the rep, was located locally. He gave me two options for the equipment and I thought that it had a reasonable cost and sounded like he was going to provide excellent customer service. The installers were very good, professional, and answered all my questions. Plus, they didn’t just clean up where they put the track, they did the whole step.
I like that the arms and feet move up and it becomes a compact so you can use the steps if you're not using the chairlift. Moreover, it's very simple to use so I don’t think my dad is going to have much trouble. I showed him how to use it the first time. But I still don’t understand why it still beeps when I bring it upstairs. It stops beeping if I put it in the active mode but I don't know if I wanna do that when I come upstairs. I'm gonna call Craig and have him explain that to me again. They demonstrated it but you can't really know how it works until you start using it and that's when you have all the questions. The stairlift seems very sturdy and manufactured well. The track is also very sturdy and there are no glitches when you ride up on it. I'm happy with it so far.

I’m gonna be 90 this year and although I can still walk without a cane and going down is not so bad, going up the stairs has become a bit of a problem. We looked into stairlifts three years ago and we finally made the decision it was time to get one. I looked into a couple of different ones and I liked Bruno. Their reputation is good and they have more medical stuff than just the stairlift. I also liked the looks of their products and the mechanics really looked good to me.
I had Rick for the sales visit and he was a phenomenal guy. What a speaker he was! He was very knowledgeable and the way he handled everything was just super. Then two guys came for the installation at first to get the heavy stuff down the steps. Then one guy was left behind to finish up and bolted stuff. They did a fabulous job. Sometimes I wish the chair could’ve been a little closer to the wall. I'd like to have as much room as possible outside of the stairlift. But it’s manageable and other than that, I have no problems. The stairwell has got a bit of a curve down the bottom and the stairlift takes me all the way down. That was really the whole thing. I've used the stairlift quite a few times already and I like it. I like the swivel and just going up and down. The guys at Bruno knew what they were doing and were very good about everything. They were really professional.

Getting a stairlift was recommended by the doctor, and our Bruno stairlift was chosen through the government. We got the straight one and the installation went fine. It took a day for the installers to put it in, and they gave a demo of how it worked. I love the stairlift. It saves Jerry's legs. He’s 89 years old and he had a stroke and he has to have the stairlift to get up and down the steps. We both feel that it’s very safe, and it won’t move unless you’re locked in place. I’d recommend it.

My experience with Bruno Independent Living Aids was very good. We needed a stairlift for a relative of mine who was having problems with mobility and had a safety issue. I liked the warranty that came with Bruno in comparison to the other warranties. I registered for the warranty online but never got any confirmation that they got it. But their sales representative was wonderful. He was helpful, and I felt confident working with him. The installer was with the salesperson and they installed it together. It's only been a month since we had them. Hopefully, this Bruno product holds up to its name. I would recommend it.

My husband is 93 years old and he’s a handicap. He can’t walk steps, at all. He has to use a walker through the house and he has a numbness in his fingertips. VA said he was eligible to get a stairlift. We got a straight standard from Bruno and our interactions with Bruno's sales and installation teams were fine. They did a good job installing it. However, a couple of times when I was pushing the button to take the chair downstairs or to bring my husband up, a couple of steps from the bottom it stopped. It also seems like there's a little bump so the ride is not smooth. Other than that, the quality appears to be okay. It is a lifesaver.

My husband has bad knees and to go up and down the stairs, we decided to have a stairlift put in and it's really helped him. My daughter's a nurse and she was the one who said to go with Bruno. The rep talked to us and explained fully how to use the stairlift, and he was very nice. They also had me and my husband go on the lift. We got one that goes down to the front door and the other one goes from the front door down to the wreck room. We can go up and down the stairs, and when we have groceries, we can just bring them up that way instead of trying to get them up and down the stairs, which was difficult. The only thing is that one of the lifts takes a little longer to get going, and it just started doing that. But going upstairs, the other one is fine.

I like the little button on the handle so that I don't have to worry about not doing things right. I have a workroom upstairs in one of the spare bedrooms and I am up and downstairs quite a bit. So, I'm enjoying that I don't have to worry about the stairs. I love the fact that these things are available and make things easier for people who have heart problems or problems with their legs. I love the Bruno stairlift and so does my wife. We're both suffering from cancer right now and I've had the back operation and she's having problems walking. I can still walk on the stairs pretty good but the coming back up sometimes is a pain. We didn't wanna renovate upstairs so we've got a grip in the laundry room downstairs so it's quite handy to go use a chair.
My friend Bob met me off and he gave me Neil's number and I talked to Neil. And then he went through the store, he booked me an appointment and that was in two hours, so it was great. Neil came, he installed the stairlift, and he's a great guy 'cause he works and knows the ins and outs of the stairlift. We got a straight stairlift and I could send the lift down and get it above and go up, which is cool. My little grandson also likes to go up and down in it every once in a while. If we wanna hide it, we put it downstairs with the controls. I'm very satisfied with the Bruno stairlift and I had mentioned about it to a couple of people.

We tried several stairlifts but we liked the Bruno that a friend of ours had. The stairlift was expensive but it certainly is quality. During installation, I wanted it cut off about eight inches but that didn’t get done, and that was fine because my husband just will have it lower into the floor. The installer was willing to do that, but it would take him another hour and a half and it was late. But it worked out fine and the stairlift was well installed. A woman came in and installed the stairlift in a couple of hours and, so far, it has been running well. I like the remote control call feature. It is very good and I find it helpful. We like the warranty that the Bruno has, lifetime on some of the components and two years on some of the other components. That was good to us. 101 Mobility, the company we used, also added they'd be out for a year for no service charges. The sales visit was very professional and we felt no pressure at all. It was a good experience. Then people came to install when they said they would and they took as long as they said. At the end, the installers gave us all the training on the stairlift and all the documentation. They did a thorough job with it and we’re pleased with how the stairlift fits the stairwell. When it’s not in use, everything folds up so you can get by it and its being out of the way is nice. Having the two remote controls is nice also. Those are two things I really like about it. We made our purchase from Bruno since they were made in the USA and they were in Latrobe which is a local city for us. We wanted a local dealer. Also, we were very pleased with the service provided by our sales rep. Dave was very customer-oriented. He was looking out for our needs and what would best suit our situation. After four spine surgeries and a hip replacement, I've gotten complications. I had two companies come out and I liked Bruno best. Their representative was very thorough. He looked at the stairs and drew me a map of it. He sat down and talked to me about how it would go. Thereafter, he explained everything that the chair had and asked if the doctor wrote me a prescription of my need so that he could take off the sales tax. He also talked about the warranty, labor and the upkeep.
The installation itself was very good. The rep came, mapped it all out and took pictures of whatever they put into the computer. When the installers came, they laid out a really nice blanket in the middle of the living room to keep them from getting my carpet dirty from the tools and the pieces. The installer had two helpers who were very nice. They got here about 11:00 or so and they were gone by 3:30 or 4:30. Since the installation, I've liked having the two remotes so I can send the chair up or down when I don't want it in the room. The footwear's good and so is the arm. Then the sales reps from Bruno came to our house, looked at everything, and suggested what would be the best option. They provided excellent service and I ended up buying the straight indoor stairlift. But if I could add a chair which has a remote to turn it around instead of manually, I would’ve preferred that. Other than that, the installation process was very nice. They showed us how to use it and my parents learned how to use it within a day, so it wasn't hard. They're getting used to it now and it's gonna be helpful.
Our stairwell is not too big, but everything still looks good after the stairlift was installed. Some of our friends have seen it and may be wanting to do that, too. I liked Bruno compared to other chairlift providers based on what I saw on their customers’ ads. I bought one for my mom, in my house. I sent the request, through the internet. Brian, a very nice guy contacted me and set up an appointment. He did some measurements for the stairs then gave me an initial quote. There was no pressure to do anything at that time. He just told us to look over the information and even suggested us coming out to visit one of the sites. So went out the very next day to the actual site and we were able to see the actual product and sample it and even showed us some other products that they had.
We knew we wanted to get the product. It took a couple of weeks to make sure all the financing was all set, then, we set up an appointment to have them come back out and install. A very polite gentleman came. He went through the process of what he was going to be doing. He did it, and then showed us how to use it and let us try it. He told us a couple of the maintenance things. My mom likes having it there and we like the way it looks.

I also have rheumatoid arthritis and my knees are not good. So, I felt like I would be much safer going up and down the stairs with a lift because there are days that I really can’t get back up the stairs very well at all.
I went to Melbourne, Iowa and I was looking for a lift chair because I knew after my surgery, I wasn’t gonna be able to sleep in bed for quite a while and I needed something that I could recline without using my right arm. While I was there, I saw that they had Bruno stairlifts and their rep demonstrated both of the lifts that they had there. I was pleased with the one I thought I would like to get and decided to go ahead and get it at that time. Everybody was great and the installers were wonderful. They took time to explain everything to me and show me all the options. They were very helpful.
I got the straight stairlift and it’s enclosed and very good. It folds up, so there’s plenty of room for the rest of my family to go up and down the stairs without having to walk around it. Our stairway’s a little bit wider than the stairway we had in our old house, so it worked really good. I like the remote thing that makes it easier for me set the switch to run the stairlift up and down. It's quality is excellent and it’s been a big help. Since I've been using it, my knees aren’t hurting as much as they were. And now I can go down and get my laundry, fold my clothes, put it on my lap, and use the remote to get back up the stairs.

My mom got sick and she has been in a walker. She was in ICU for several weeks, got home and all the full bathrooms and bedrooms are upstairs. Getting her up, four stairs at a time, was a chore so we definitely needed something. I did the research on the internet and Bruno had a very high rating. I called a couple local companies and there was a $1,000 difference in the prices. We went with the higher priced since they can get it out sooner and they had the stairlift in stock. They did come out when they said they could, they had it done quickly and it was a very easy transaction.
The sales rep was great. He came right out to the house when I talked to him and went over everything with me in person. He got back to me on email when I had any questions and it was all handled within a couple of days. The installers were very nice, polite and they didn’t leave a mess. They showed me how to run it and made sure that if I had any questions, I could get a hold of them directly. They did all the paperwork as far as the warranty and registering it which was nice.
We have the straight stairlift and the chair seems to work perfectly for our needs. When it’s folded up, there's more room than I expected. I like the idea that my mom can come straight up, curve the chair, step and get out. The only thing is when you get to the top of the stairs and to stop it from beeping, you have to turn the chair to the side again. I thought that could create an issue with my mom bending down and turning the chair and I wouldn’t want her to fall. But the quality seems fine. The cost was reasonable for what it had helped out on. For the price, you couldn’t beat Bruno in our situation. I would recommend it to other people for sure.

A month or so later, he came out, did some more measuring and sent in the order. He also took some paperwork to the VA. And then a couple of months later, the installers brought the lift out. They were great. They seemed to know what they were doing. They started working and they stayed here until it was all done. I like the stairlift from Bruno. However, it has a spot in it that always creates a clunking sound. Even so, the quality of the stairlift has been great and overall, the Bruno stairlift has made my life a lot easier.

We had the straight stairlift installed and it fits very well into the stairwell. They also showed Debbie how it worked. Also, the lift seat made it more convenient to have it on their stairs. The other quote they got was only for the curved stairlift which would it stick out in the room. The seat wasn’t completely manual to lift, which was a bonus when we were comparing the two stairlifts.

We don't have enough room for the wrap around one so that was what we got. When it was installed, the team that came out was very efficient and didn't take long at all. My dad has Parkinson’s and it was getting tough for him to walk. He’s got the gait in his walk and to keep him at home, we got a Bruno stairlift. We had a gentleman that stopped and talked to us about it and then came in a couple of different times measuring and taking pictures. He was fantastic. The installation went great. We had a curved stairlift installed and the installer thought it would take more time than it actually took. He got it done in half a day to three quarters of a day, ahead of time from what he told us it would be and it went well.
I own a restaurant on Main Street in Cherokee and my dad lives in the apartment on the top floor. So, it goes up around the curve, up around the curve, and up. So, it’s a big one. The installer said it was the biggest one he’s ever put in. It has to have extra charging station on the middle of it because of the length of it. I really like that it’s so much safer for my dad. Before, he had a lot of trouble at each landings where there was nothing to grab on to. There was no railing or anything. With Bruno stairlift, it takes him all the way up. So, I don’t have to worry about my dad going up and down the steps.

My mother’s legs got very bad and she started falling so I went to the medical supply store that was closest to my house. It’s in Stony Hill and they had Bruno Stairlifts. They’re a good store and I know they have good stuff so I took what they recommended. It was the owner of the store who came and showed me everything. The stairlifts are both straight. One has six steps and the other has seven steps. We have two different levels so my mother can get from floor to floor now.
The two installers were great and very good. The first one was the bigger lift with the motor weighing a hundred pounds and Carlos, the original installer, got somebody with him on that one. The second lift was smaller so it wasn’t as heavy so he did that one himself. When he came back with the second one, he worked on adjusting the first one a little bit. Originally, she was facing the kitchen door and we have to be able to get her out into the living room so he did a 45 degree adjustment which was good since it made it easier for her to get out. Luckily, that was the bigger lift of the two so it could be adjusted. The smaller one cannot.
I had a service call when it started to have some groaning noises a couple of weeks ago so Carlos came from the store and he had to tighten something but that’s the only problem that we had with it so they’ve been a lifesaver and we’re happy with Bruno. I knew the stairlifts were gonna be expensive but it's a necessity. If we didn’t have those, my mother would be in a nursing home. It’s keeping her at home which is where she wants to be.

First, I went to the tech's office but he wasn’t there. I let go for a while and then I saw him work for my friend next door. I went to talk to him and he came and gave me an estimate. We talked it over. The guy was very nice as well.
My wife and I got the straight stairlift installed. The installation went well. It was one guy and he was here for about four hours and installed it. He also showed my wife how to operate it and he cleaned everything up. He was missing a part and so he came back a couple of days later and replaced the parts. The stairlift takes a lot of room but there’s only me and my wife. Also, the other thing that I don't like about the stairlift is it's noisy. The cost is also way too much but when you need something, you gotta get it. Even so, my wife loves the stairlift. She can go up and down without any problems. My dad, who is an elderly parent, came to live with me. We have a ranch that has a family room downstairs. We wanted him to have access to all levels of the house but not have to climb up and down the stairs. Upon talking to the DME at Kohll's Pharmacy, Bruno's stairlifts was recommended to us as safe to use. So, we purchased a straight stairlift from them.
Their sales rep was really helpful and gave good advice in setting it up. Their installers were very detailed in explaining the whole set up, what we needed to do and how they handled the installation. We had a stair that kind of did a turn. At the landing part, there were two exits that a person could go off of. The last stair before that curved a little and for me that didn't need to be there and it was only a tripping hazard. The Bruno's installers did the correction to that and got the stairlift in place. They got it done for us so that the stairlift could be installed within a few days from the original install date.
Getting the stairlift was all a great experience. I'm very happy with the product itself. I like how it has so many safety features that I feel no concern in using it for an elderly parent. I had OT come into my home and give me clearance as far as having my dad and everything in place. I'm very pleased all the way around even to the professional community. I highly recommend Bruno Independent Living aids to anyone in the same situation. If you have a disabled person around, Bruno's stairlift would be a good quality item to have in your home.

My husband needed a stairlift to get from our first to second and second to third floor because of some mobility problems. We chose the retailer, 101 Mobility, because of their reputation and we had a couple of choices but Bruno looked more suitable to our needs. There were certain features that sounded better to us. The installers were fabulous. They had to address a couple of unforeseen issues and it was a hassle to them, but not for me. They also trained my husband and I on how to use the stairlift. The one to the third floor is a little less positive because that is a very narrow staircase but there’s no stairlift that would be great to go to our third floor and this one is fine.
My husband likes riding up and down. Ultimately it’s going to permit him to use more of the house for a lot longer of his life and for me, it’s been really helpful as he’s not likely to fall down the steps. Sometimes, I have some arthritis and even though I usually walk the steps, it has been great. It’s such a pleasure not to walk and I’ve ridden it too when I’m carrying some stuff and it is very smooth. Plus, the quality seems really good. Time in my mind is everything. And the people that installed it did a good job. They showed my husband how the stairlift works. My husband was outside, but they showed him exactly how to oil it so that it is lubricated properly. They were here for several hours, and one of them had to come back because there were a couple of stabilizers that they had to order. They thought they could pick them up that day and they had another job in Stevens Point. But it ended up that they weren’t available. They were able to get them shipped to their office and one guy came back the next day.
I’m glad that there’s a five-year warranty on the stairlift. We needed a stairlift at the church. Then, the County Assistance Office had an exhibition where they had different companies come to the church facility and a representative from Bruno happened to be there, so I asked the man a lot of questions. He gave me information and I brought it back to the church. Since we were buying the stairlift ourselves, the people in the church said they had no objections as long as it was something that would accommodate our people at the present time because the one we had had a very small seat and wouldn't accommodate the larger people or those with a heavier weight.
Then, a representative from Bruno contacted me and told me that they could install the stairlift if we wanted to purchase it. He also gave me more information which I took back to the church council again. They told me to go ahead with the purchase, so I did. It was our donation to the church in memory of my husband's parents. I worked with Bruno and we were very pleased with their professionalism throughout the process. Their people did a wonderful job and the rep I dealt with told me to call him for any problem and they’d be right up to take care of it.
So far, the stairlift is holding up very good and we really enjoy it. Our church service is on the second floor and before, there were people who couldn't come because the other chairlift didn’t carry their weight. But now they can with the Bruno stairlift and they love it. Also, it usually took about three men to operate the other chairlift to take people up and down and help them get off. The install team did a wonderful job although I have to have the door to the bottom of the stairs wherein it has to extend out to the doorway, so it runs down. Everything is doing good. It works fine. The stairlift was rubbing the bottom there a bit, which I understand, but now it's making a noise that really cracks and it shouldn’t be doing that like something is about ready to break on it. It does it two or three times when she goes upstairs and I think it ought to be checked out. I just called and they'll get it fixed. The guys will come here next Tuesday and check it out.
What they should do is when they get to the bottom of those stair doors, they ought to have that seat so it will swivel around, so a person that is really handicapped can get out, turn it out, and get out. I understand why they wouldn't. They might fall after they get out doing that. But I also think they can turn it halfway to make it a lot easier. When you get at the top of the stairs, it swivels to where it goes around. If the bottom would go part way, that would make tremendous difference.

We also have a set of steps on our front porch that she is not able to go down to and I couldn't get her down by myself. So, we call an ambulance or her transportation service to get her to her doctor's appointment or the emergency room whenever she had to go. We didn’t have space that would allow us to put a wheelchair ramp up the porch and it would take too much space. So, the representative from Bruno said that the next thing was to get a lift. He put it in and he also mentioned that Bruno was from some place in the northern part of United States and the weather is very severe in the winter. So, he said that the Bruno lift would be ideal for us.
The installer did a great job. But we had a little problem the first time we used the lift, my wife got down okay and the installers were still working on it. They left the lift on the up position and when I went to bring my wife back in to use the lift, the lift didn't work. It was completely off. So, I called the gentleman that installed everything for me and he said that he'd be in the next morning and take care of the situation. We called an ambulance to bring my wife back into the house. The installer explained to me that there are plates under the lift that will stop the lift from going up and down if they're pushed in. And one of his workers kinda touched the plate and they put it in to a stop position. When he came in the next morning, he adjusted it and everything's been working perfectly since.
Bruno is a great product and it works whenever we need it. I've been very happy with it. It is efficient and safe and it's a lot easier to use than having a ramp that goes all around our yard where we had to go left and right, up and down. If somebody gets underneath, there will be no problem because those plates are in there. Overall, it's wonderful to have the capability of taking my wife out whenever she would like to go out or whenever she has an appointment. And hopefully, we'll be able to get her out of the house more often to take her for a little ride around the neighborhood and get her some fresh air.

Then after probably two and a half years and having spent an awful lot of money on repairs, I finally got a bill for $266 for something that they should’ve covered. And so I called the VA who sent out three people to take a look at the stairs and gave me an estimate. Two companies were representing Bruno and the second one who came out eventually was the one with whom the VA went. The VA goes strictly by price and evidently, they think very highly of Bruno. We have two people in my family that have difficulty going up and down the stairs. One of them is my father-in-law and we recently put him in a basement apartment and some days it’s a devil to get through and from our place’s apartments. We have done lot of work with Norco, which is a medical supply company for various things, and so we decided to go and check what they had and they recommended Bruno. The sales rep was great. He showed me two different lifts and then told me that Bruno was the one that he had better experience as far as maintenance so he recommended that one. We scheduled an appointment for a guy to come out. He came out and got all the measurements. Two days later he came in and installed the lift. He did a good job, showed us how to use it, and we’re pleased all the way around. It took him about two hours to put it in.
The lift we have is a standard straight and it worked pretty well with the stairwell. It takes about half the stairs but that’s because we do not have a very wide staircase. Even when it is folded, it would take up the whole thing when it’s down. The only problem I have is when it’s upstairs, it has to be folded and you kind of have to snug it on the side. But when it’s downstairs, I can even get by it without folding it because it goes far enough down into the room. But I’m satisfied with the cost. I found another one on the internet first and it was about $1,000 cheaper. But when I looked through the reviews on it on the internet, almost every one of them talked about getting it to be repaired within 12 months. I didn’t need something I’m gonna have to fix all the time and I’m very happy with my Bruno stairlift.

I had surgery and wanted to purchase a stairlift. I went to the showroom and I tried Bruno's stairlift. And then my son called the person I spoke with at the showroom to measure the length of our stairway. We purchased a stairlift and two guys were sent to install it, and they were okay and showed me how the stairlift works and I tried it. The only thing is we have a spiral staircase and the stairlift has just a little curve. The upstairs curve is okay but the bottom is not. I asked them to curve it and they said they'd charge $2,000 more so I told them to forget it. The stairlift is $15,000 and the quality isn't worth it. Other than that, I'm satisfied that it takes me up and down and I don’t have to walk on the stairs.

I had a stairlift that goes straight up and down picked out, and my kids paid for it for me. When the installers put the unit in, they were helpful and explained everything to me. The stairlift goes up and comes down smoothly, and it works excellently for me.

She’s 79 and I’m almost 83. My daughter told us we needed a stairlift, and she called, ordered the Bruno stairlift and had it put in. I was told the installation would take an hour. One kid put it in and I knew by the work he'd done that it would take a bit longer than that. We just use the stairlift in case we need it. My wife uses it more than I do. She isn’t going too good on this second knee joint she got. As for me, I hold on to the railing and go up and down most of the time without the stairlift. We both get around half decent but for someone who needs it, I would recommend it when they can’t get around.

My husband and I are in our middle 70s and we live in a 5000 square foot house with three floors. Between the first and second floors, there are 22 stairs. And between second and third, there are 20. My kids are on the third floor and I have to go there sometimes. Also, we wanted to be able to stay in the house. We tried to look for a one level condos for seniors and they’re very nice but my husband would die in it. So, we decided to get a stairlift.
A certain company was advertised a lot and we had their rep over to look into an elevator. But our house was built in the 1850’s and to have the elevator, we had to tear down walls and it was gonna be a huge construction. We didn’t wanna do that so we asked him about their chairs. But he didn’t measure the area and just gave me huge price. Then, I looked up another company that was advertised and I didn’t have them over but I looked at the comments from consumers. So many of them said that the company was in Colorado and they would use local installers to service for their company. So if something went wrong, it could take ages before they came out to repair it because they didn’t have a local repair place.
Then I checked with several people that had Omni put the Bruno chair in and everybody was happy. They said that they're very attentive and if something goes wrong and they need to have servicing, they’ll come out. So we went with them. The installers almost had the stairlift installed in a day, then they realized they couldn’t so it took five weeks to get it made properly.
We have an old center entry with a beautiful staircase and we didn’t wanna put something on it. So, we put the stairlift in the stairs which are very narrow. But I go sideways on it and it’s perfect. I wish it would go down a little faster than it does but we checked with Bruno and they said it’s a safety feature that you don’t go too fast. So, if I’m upstairs and the doorbell rings and there’s a package I have to sign for, I have to end up walking down because it takes a full two minutes to get down of the first floor. I don’t think anybody would wait for that except my friends. But it rarely happens so I don’t expect that really to be a problem.
So far, we’ve had the stairlift in for a couple of week and it makes everything a little different. I used to try to do everything I could on my first floor so that when I go up to my second floor, I wouldn’t have to walk for a while, and that’s handicapping. But now, I could just go back down using the chair. So I'm very pleased with it and I refer my friends to Omni because they sell the Bruno.

My husband's a veteran and he has had trouble with his knees and hips from his time with the army. We decided to get a stairlift and our installer from Motion Specialties said that Bruno's models would be best for us since it has the bigger seats. Two other companies had come out and given us a quote because the deal was with a veteran but then they were just pigs. They didn't show us anything and they came barefoot and very clueless.
Conversely, Mark, the guy from Belleville, Motion Specialties came in and showed us all the stuff. He was clean cut and he was wearing a shirt and tie. He went right to Bruno because we're big and my husband is 285 pounds. He installed the stairlift and showed us how to use it. He also gave a little book with all the codes for all the trouble. Since the installation, we've liked that we could pull the little handle on the bottom and it turns the chair's level sideways since that helps get it out of the way better. Also, we got the wrap around at both ends, so it really works in our house that has a very narrow staircase. I couldn't deal with the chair being in the rail on the stairway so the wrap around has been fabulous.
However, one thing I don't like is that sometimes, when the chair comes down and docks at the bottom, it doesn't shut off completely. We got all these codes and it was beeping at us. Eventually, I get it to lock-in and it stops beeping but still, that's a bit of a pain sometimes. Another thing I didn't like is that I have to hold the button the whole time when I'm coming up or going down. I know it's for safety but I have arthritis and it's really bad in my hands. I can't just push the button and the chair would go.
Even with the hand-held, I have to hold the button down the hold time. If I use the one on the arm of the machine, I have to de-press it the whole trip. I find that inconvenient since it takes a while to go up because we have 18 stairs. There should be a mode where I can push the button and the chair goes and that if I had an issue with it, I can push the button to stop it. Nevertheless, the product is very good looking and it's really heavy duty. It would definitely carry a 300-pounder with no problems. I would tell others to get Bruno's stairlift from Mark from Motion Specialties. He was really good.

My children and I decided to explore options and the first one was getting a stairlift. So, we went to MediEquip and talked to Liz there who was extremely helpful. She then made an appointment for the guy to come out, look over my situation and help me decide if the stairlift would work for me, which it did.
He came, installed it and did a wonderful job. He explained everything to me on how to work it and emphasized that there was a lifetime warranty. If I had any problems, he told me to call the store immediately and they would get someone out here. Furthermore, the stairlift fits wonderfully into our stairwell. I rarely push the seat up or the footrest. But if there is someone coming, like when I had a maintenance man at my place one time, I pushed everything up so he could get up and down the basement with ease, and he had absolutely no problem with his toolbox. Also, my children thought that our basement door would have to come off in order to bring me fully up into my kitchen. We had a straight stair lift installed and the young man put it in by himself. The installation process was good.
We had an old model stair lift and this year, we had to go to one of the newer models. It had a different feature and the chairlift seat could not be turned around at the bottom of the stairs. That made it difficult for my husband to get on and off of it. They had to modify the seat part of the new one so that it would swivel partway around at the bottom of the stairs so he could get on and off. My advice would be to make it swivel at the top and at the bottom. I've had foot surgery, so we both are using it now.
Bruno has enabled us to stay in our house. We would've had to either go to a different house that was all on the flat or to a retirement home. If others were interested in a stair lift, then I would give them the information so that they could contact someone to come to their house and talk to them. And I’ll tell them that we've been happy with ours.

We only have one way in and one way out of our house. Our house is not at high level, but you walk in our front door and you either go up some steps or you go down to our basement. The same thing with our deck where there's 13 steps, one or another, to get to our living floor. My husband has had a major health issue and he had four surgeries on his leg in the last year and a half. He still needs to mainly have knee surgery done because he can't bend his knee enough to step up the riser.
I had a brochure by a company that's a big, huge name and I called the rep. I had a time-frame. All of a sudden, it's one of those cases where your husband is gonna get discharged from the hospital and they don't tell you 'til the last minute. I was thinking of what I was gonna do and how I was gonna get him from the hospital and then in the house. The last time someone tried to get him in the house, they dropped him. I needed to do something and when I called, the rep said someone would come out to check the house. But he never showed up and he didn't even call to tell me he wasn't gonna show up, so it was like a double-strike. My husband needed a handicap-accessible van that his extra-wide wheelchair can sit in for a ride. I've been to Mobility Supercenter in Richmond quite a few times to rent this kind of van. And I was talking to Ed when I learned that they also do chairlift.
I told him I was under a tight time-frame so he put me in touch with the lady who coordinates their chairlift and she worked and picked up the phone. And I told her what my time schedule was and what I wanted. They were installing a lift right at that time and they had a crew in our town. She asked for my husband's weight and then she said they have the chairlift for him in stock on most of her trucks. Then she went down to our town that afternoon and she surveyed my steps. And then she called and said that they could do it. I didn't even know the name brand of the chairlift we were doing. I just knew that it is what Mobility Supercenter uses. And those people had been so reliable to me on my rentals of the vans I have needed for my husband that I just believed them. So, they were Bruno's best sales people.
I wasn't there when the Bruno stairlift was installed, but my husband said the crew showed up on time. And before he knew it, it was all over with and they were out the door. And I didn't see any mess that was out of the ordinary when I looked to check. But when they made him ride the stairlift, he didn't enjoy it because it's an older house that we live in that doesn't have a lot of space within the stairwell and he is a big man. There is only a bar coming up to the seat and even though he weighs so much, and I told them how much he weighed so it needed to be weighted for somebody who weighed more than that, it still makes him very jittery, riding up and down the stairs. The thought that he has no control of the stairlift makes him uncomfortable. But the Bruno stairlift rides smoothly and it has made getting him in and out of the house faster.

We got the stairlift that is straight up and it fit perfectly to our staircase. In addition, the cost was great. The home health plan has a set of programs that work with the state, and the state has a program to help us pay for that. The state paid $2500 and then we owed $500. It’s really worth it. I wish we could afford it earlier, but it wasn’t in the plans.

Also, the quality is nice and our whole family loves it because it's helping both myself and my mom. But I wish the installer would have put the stairlift closer to the wall so I have more space for my knees. In addition, the stairlift also stops halfway up and I have to hold the remote down then it'll get up until the rest of the way. The stairlift does that a lot. My great uncle is 86 and he has to get up a flight of steps to get to his apartment. He has arthritis issues in his knees and he couldn’t get up. He was literally pulling himself up with one hand and holding on to his cane on the other. So he told me that he needed a stairlift to come up the steps. I ended up with someplace local that told me that they don't install units but they have one. They had American Home Medical or something call us. I then had them come out and they were really good to work with. As soon as I met Dave and his wife, I knew that I wanna deal with them so I didn't bother with anybody else. They also clicked with Uncle Jim. They were local and the unit was American made. If I have an issue, I just call their their cellpone number and they come out and take care of it. No waiting. They were great. They were the ones that really sold me to the unit.
We had a straight stairlift installed. My uncle has a flight of steps that you walk in the door and then it goes up to his apartment so the unit was installed inside. But then they had to put an extension on it so it would come back up the steps so that the people in the downstairs apartment could open their door, and get in and out if they were carrying stuff. We also got a thing because I was worried about the arthritis in his hand. So when it comes to the top of the steps, we got it that it comes around safe at the door. So, when he stands up he’s not sideways on the steps, he’s facing the door.
With Bruno stairlift, I don’t have to worry about getting a call from somebody that my uncle fell down the steps. The safety feature of him getting up and down is the most important. He can get out and that’s the biggest thing for him. He can also get out of his apartment and go to the club, and mingle with people since he needs social activity. Once he had a little issue with his unit so I called Dave and he came out over the weekend. It was one of the reasons why I wanted to deal with somebody local. That time we were going for an appointment and when we came back, he was done and the unit was ready to go. I would certainly recommend Bruno stairlift. It’s a good product.

The fellow who came to do the installation was very nice and when it was all done, he showed me how it would work and had me go up and down the stairs a few times so that I could show George how to do it. There are two separate stairlifts 'cause this is the raised ranch. One stairlift goes up to the hallway from the basement and then you get off and get on the other one going from the vestibule up to the first floor. It fits in there fine, but it's a little bit away because the radiator downstairs is in the hallway sticking out. So they had to pull it out a little bit through them but that hadn’t caused any problem using the stairs.
The Bruno Stairlift is of very good quality. It is great when you go grocery shopping and want to come upstairs with the grocery. But the installer told me that only one remote control would only work one stairlift. But this remote moves two of the stairlifts when using it, so I just don’t use it. It is 100% quality and I love it. At first, George would put his butt on the floor and he’d act like he didn’t want to get in it. But it’s such a blessing. It's tight for his knees, but that's how the stairs went. Also, the controls are cordless, which makes the stairlift easy to use. But they stopped working and I put new batteries in.
Also, Bruno’s reps told me that something was broken on there and that they would come back to fix it. Then they called me to tell me that it came in again broke. But the chair worked so I didn’t even know what was broken. In fact, it didn't look like anything was broken to me. Still, they came in and put the part underneath the chair. Overall, Bruno's reps were excellent and my experience with them was so awesome. I'd tell others not to go to anybody else.

My son called Bruno and the salesman who came over was very well-spoken and polite. He knew everything about their products and he did a nice job. We were convinced to go ahead and get it. The guy that installed the stairlift was very nice too, and my wife really liked him. It took him a couple of hours and he tested it. He showed me how to work it and made sure I knew how to do it. The straight stairlift fits inside our stairwell and works perfectly. It's really convenient and easy to work. It's well worth the money. I was struggling with going up the steps and the stairlift helped me a lot. I got my bedroom upstairs and now I can go there and use it five times a day going up and down the steps. I will recommend Bruno Independent Living Aids.

Bruno Independent Living Aids is excellent. It made things a lot easier and it fits into the house décor well. I also like the idea that we can go right from the lower level to the first level to the second floor since it's curved. It's not several dependents. I purchased a stairlift due to a problem with my ankle. The doctor says the success of an operation is uncertain. It's also very painful and has gone on for a long time. Very few people pull it off so might as well live with it.
The sales representatives were generally positive and there were three I have interacted with. One was Christina and there were two others who supported her. They were all fine and I got good service. I called them back once, they were very prompt. In terms of selling, there was one woman who was in charge of the company in Tucson and she came out and it was very quick. She didn’t spend a lot of time with us. She told us what we need and it was far more expensive than the other options that we’d looked at. While I was bothered by how quickly the decision was made, she was right. That was what we needed, and now we’re happy with it.
As for the installation team, one member came out to help do the layout before the actual equipment came. A second person then joined that first person and actually did the installation itself. Meanwhile, the woman in charge came out twice to check the progress. They were prompt too. All throughout, there were so many people who came out to make estimates and it was half a day or more proposition, but my experience overall was positive and the stairlift was very helpful.

I was having difficulty walking and I was getting physical therapy. My kids insisted that I get a stairlift. Bruno sales rep explained everything to me and made sure I can go up and down on them safely. However, it took forever for them to get it in and get it done. I had a curved one and a straight one installed. I live in a three-storey house and after sleeping on the couch all winter to get this thing in, it was nice to get upstairs to my bed.
I had a beautiful settee sitting against that wall. It was something that I really liked and I wanted to leave it there. And I could have if the installer had put it on the other stairway but then it would have blocked the doorway into the dining room. I couldn't decide what I wanted. So about midway, I changed my mind. I wanted it on the opposite stairway so that I wouldn't have to get rid of the settee. The installer was very nice. He was always very attentive, described everything to me and checked to see if they could change the settee to the other side of the wall and they said they had gone too far to change it.
I like that the stairlift gets me up and down the steps. However, you need push down on the handles with the one they put in to my basement. And on the one that goes upstairs, you need to lift up on the handles and that's confusing. I'm elderly and I just forget. Nonetheless, the quality seems good to me, so far. But the cost was expensive but I don't know the ins and outs of the work and I didn’t have anything to compare price to. I think that insurance should pay for it or pay part of it anyway. I didn’t really enjoy coughing up $20,000. That is a lot of money and there ought to be some way to give people a break. Bruno should reach out to the insurance companies, particularly PEIA here in West Virginia, and tell them that they should start covering that because although I could afford one, I know many older people can't and I don’t think it's right. I just think it's terrible. Nevertheless, it was a very pleasant experience.

The first stairlift I had was a Bruno and then when my sister-in-law passed away, we bought her Acorn stairlift. The Bruno was still working but it was so noisy. But then the Acorn went out even though it wasn't really that old. My sister-in-law hardly even used it. The people at Acorn wanted to blame it on the installation. They said that maybe it wasn't installed right. But it worked for two years and my grandson had installed it. He also put in the Bruno, which worked fine, so he kinda knew what he was doing. So I didn't specially like the people at Acorn. I called another company but I didn’t like their sales guy either. He tried to pressure me into deciding right then. If I took the product right then, it’d be cheaper. So I didn’t want anything to do with him. Then I called Bruno.
The young guy who came out was great. I already knew which one I wanted and he just told me the price and when they could do it so it sounded fine. He also told me that if I could get a prescription from my doctor, I wouldn’t have to pay taxes which I did. So I didn’t have to pay the taxes on it. They also came when they were supposed to and got the stairlift in real quick. It’s been working fine but he had also told me if I had any problem to call him. He actually lives not too far from here too.
I would recommend Bruno. I got the straight stairlift to get up and down the basement. If I didn't have the chair, I would have a bad time getting up and down the steps. I have one artificial knee and I’m thinking about getting the other knee done. I have a bad time with any type of steps. I have to use the handrail and my cane so I wouldn’t be able to carry anything up, like groceries. The washer and dryer is in the basement too so I pick up my basket, hold it and take the laundry down.

My wife had surgery and she could not get up and down the steps, so we needed stairlifts. We decided on getting Bruno Stairlifts owing to their good reputation in quality. From what I read, it’s the number one in the industry. Also, the technician that put the stairlifts in knew exactly what to do and what we needed. We were given options on how we could do it in two different ways and explained how I could save some money putting two in rather than one. That made it simpler too. I have got a landing and it was easier to put two standard ones in than having a custom rail built with the curve. The sales guy also told us that down the road if we didn't need the stairlifts they could buy them back or we could resell them as used units whereas if we go with the custom made one with the curve it would only fit the stairwell in this house thus we cannot resell it later on.
And so we had three installers put the stairlifts in. It took them about four hours and then they ran it and it worked great. It was a smooth installation. The stairlifts were very easy to operate and my wife got into it really quick. I like that when it gets to the end of the travel, it slows down rather than getting to an abrupt stop. The only problem she had at first was she would hold on to the armrest and then, while trying to get out of the seat, she would bump the switch on the armrest. And so, moving that switch to the side might be beneficial. Another thing that they might look into would be the seat belt. It is awkward with the big recall part hanging down to the side, flopping around. If it was stationary and one would just grab it and pull over then buckle it up like a car, it would make it a whole lot easier. Other than that, I’m a very satisfied customer and I’d recommend it.

We wanted to enable our disabled son to get in and out of the van more easily. I did a lot of research on the internet and when I talked to the person, we did pros and cons of different manufacturers. The sales person said that he had better service reliability with Bruno than the other manufacturer. The other one was also a little more expensive. He recommended Bruno and it also had the features and the pricing that made the most sense for us. It was about $9000, which is a little bit on the high side but that's what the market is asking for that piece of equipment.
We brought our van in and they put it in then we picked it up. Although they didn’t get the installation all done in one day, they explained things and were very helpful. We’ve only had the product for over a month now but it seems to be pretty high quality. Plus it does exactly what we wanted to do with it. It lowers the seat outside the van so that our son can get in it and then it brings him in.

But this was put in by the government. I put a request to the social worker at the VA, I wanted to give her an estimate of my medical assistance in the house.
The guy came out and installed a straight stairlift and it was all done in a couple of hours. You have to have the mobility to turn the chair. Right now, it's facing the wall, but when I get to the top of the stairs, I have to push it. It's not difficult to do but it has to be done and you've gotta be able to know how to do it. I had just moved into a condo on the second floor. We have an elevator but the garage was down below. And when I agreed to buy the condo, I was to have one or two steps into the lobby, and then to the elevator. But when it was all said and done, I had 10 steps from the floor of my garage to the landing to get into the main building. I am almost 83 years old. I moved out of a fully handicapped house and I said, "This is not acceptable." They were gonna put in a ramp but it would have taken half of my garage to make one according to code. I said I had a stairlift in my handicapped house, and I said "How about that?"
I had my stairlift in my house, and for one reason one day it wouldn't raise or lower but the builders that bought it from retired and closed his business. I looked in the phonebook and I come on Bruno and they came out to see what was wrong with the stairlift. It turned out that someone had not put it all the way down or all the way up. I was gone on vacation and it didn’t charge. They left me their sticker and I explained that the stairlift that I had in the house was no longer being made. So, I called them when I wanted one for this building here, in the condo. They got it in almost immediately as soon as they could get to it and did me a real good job at a decent price.
I like that you don't have to be so careful about where you have the stairlift stopped. It will charge no matter where it is. That was the biggest problem I had before. If my grandchildren came and they'd bump it or decided they want to ride it downstairs, then I'd go use it and it wouldn’t be charged. It had to go all the way either up or down and click in. Also, my new one moves at a good pace, about as fast as you could expect for older or handicapped people.

I thought I was going to stop on the landing, but he said that I would need to go all the way to the floor because I'm not that stable. It took a lot of planning to get the stairlift made. They came and took photographs of the whole stairs in order to do it. The installer showed me all the parts of the chair and showed me how to operate them. He did a very good job.
The stairlift fits very well in the stairwell. It does not interfere at all with anyone walking up and down the stairs. I got two 90-degree angles which I needed and I had a landing as well. I also have a curve at the bottom and curve at the top. There are two remote controls -- one upstairs and one downstairs. The remote controls also show if somebody is on the chair, the up and the down, and the chair has a seatbelt on it. The chair is big, which works out very well for me. Before I got the stairlift, I'd come down in the morning and if I needed something upstairs, I never went up and got it, so I had to get my wife to get it. Now, it enables me to get to the second floor without a problem. Bruno is the one to buy.

We went to their showroom or their office. We met one of the people in the company and took demos with it. The product was explained to us and we decided that day.
We had a little bit of difficulty finding the business but we had the same sort of difficulty with the other business, which is in a different location. These smaller businesses and these business parks are sometimes hard to locate but that’s the only negative thing I can say. We got a 13-step straight stairlift and we were very pleased with the installation. They did a very neat job. It took them about two hours. It's a smooth ride. One of my brothers is familiar with them. He lives upstate, New York. But he said, “I have trouble with those things because they go too slowly.” But if that’s the worst thing anybody can say about a stairlift then it's a good deal.
Back in the ‘90s some friends of ours had one which was rather primitive but Bruno stairlift is a good quality product. Another positive thing about it is if you wanna get rid of it, just take some bolts out and it can be removed if there was no need for it. As a matter of fact we're thinking about getting another one. This goes from the first floor to the basement. We finished the basement, laundry, office, so forth down there. They answered all of my questions and it was just a very easy process. We got the straight indoor and it fits perfectly. They couldn’t have done a better job adapting it to the stairwell. The installation was just super. They called first and said they were on their way. They gave us a time frame, and we were here of course. They came in and assessed the stairwell and then commenced to do the job. They gave me a complete rundown of the operation of it. I've observed some of the installation, but occasionally I would stick my head around the corner. Just perfect.
The quality can't be beat. We like the remote control ability to call it downstairs or upstairs, and right before it gets to the bottom or the top of the stairs it beeps to let you know it's getting ready to dock. It has made it very easy for my wife to get up and down the stairs. And not too long after the installation, I broke a knee cap so I ended up having to use it a few times. We’re familiar with the owner of Presidential Conversion up in Fayetteville so we did the transaction over the phone. I told him what we needed then he told me what they've got and what we needed. And he was right. It’s a good lift. The installers came out early in the morning. They were polite and they worked hard. They had one issue in the middle of the day when something wasn’t working right and it wouldn’t fit. But they got through it and they did the whole thing in one day.
This is our fourth stairlift and this is actually the best one. It’s more streamlined. It takes up less room than the other ones. It also has the little foot thing at the bottom that comes all the way to the floor. That makes it easier to get in from a wheelchair. I also like the way this lift charges all the way up and down the lift. We’ve had lifts that didn’t get charged if it gets stuck in the middle and then we had to manually put it up. Some have been pretty hard to do too. I have an issue with all the lifts though, and that’s the switch. This one is better than the other ones, but it always seems like if you hit the arm, the switch pad will come off. It seems to me they could make the switch in a better place so you don’t brush by it and knock it off. Otherwise, this Bruno stairlift is one a good one. It’s great quality.

My husband is declining in health and he has dementia and we need the chairlift to come from the basement up to the first floor because the garage is in the basement. Sometimes you tell him to lift his leg and he's not sure what he's doing. So I've been sort of like pulling him, pushing him up the steps. So when I saw the ad in our church bulletin I like the idea that the gentleman from Bruno is local. I put some thought into it and just called.
The interaction I had with the sales team was very nice and he gave me the price. I told him that I wasn't sure if we could put it in. Then he said that if I had this certain number of steps, it wouldn't be a problem. Then he asked if he could come over to look and see if they could put the stairlift in. He came over the next day and he said that there'd be no problem. I was thinking that we would have to come up onto the living space and I didn't know how the chairlift was going to work. But he explained to me what he was going to do, how it was going to work and that's when he quoted me a price. I was very pleased with the quality and cost of the stairlift. I paid $2800 and I thought it would be more. That was why I was a little hesitant. When he told me how much the stairlift was, I thought that I could do it.
The installers came in, cleaned up and out the door they went. They made my husband, who is 80 years old, get on the lift. He was a little hesitant so the two gentlemen, who did the installation, put the seatbelt around him and let him go down and brought him back up again. That's probably the only time he used the seatbelt on the stair. Now when we get up to this level that we're on, he doesn't understand that he has to turn it around so that's the part that I have to help him with. His dementia is strange because sometimes he'll just get on the lift and turn the chair around the way he needs to go and down he goes but sometimes he gets confused.
When we're at the top of the steps he pushes the button as he wants to go down, then we hear a beeping sound. It's nothing against the company but it's what we're dealing with. But other than that the Bruno stairlift has been Godsent and I've already recommended Bruno to two of our friends. The one couple have been over to the house and saw it. As a matter of fact, the gentleman rode halfway down and halfway up and that's when he said, "Yeah. I think I could like this." I'm very pleased with Bruno and they were too.

It’s a four-level house, and one’s on the top landing and one’s on the bottom landing. The bottom one had a folding railing. They came out in a new style and nobody’s trained the technicians on it. It kept on making noises so for the sixth time, they finally came out and they called Bruno and they figured it out. They adjusted it and it worked. Bruno should have a 1-800 number for the technicians to call if they run into problems. Other than that, Bruno makes life a lot easier. The stairlift gets my wife up and down the steps. And all in all, Bruno is a fast and easy way to go compared to the other ones.

I've had back and hip surgery. And then my husband got sick and he couldn't go down the stairs. We talked about purchasing a stairlift before and he told me we were all right. But then, he couldn't go down the stairs well. So he told me he was going to get the chairlift. We looked up in the phonebook and then called one person but since they don't do the chairlift, he said to call and get a Bruno Independent Living Aids. And they came out within three days and installed the stairlift.
The guy who installed it was excellent. He explained everything, right down to if it kept beeping, you get this or that. He showed us how to properly sit in and put yourself in it, and how to turn it so we could sit in it, put the arms down and turn it back. And then he showed us the remotes. He was very, very good at explaining everything. It has been perfect. It’s easy to get on and get off the stairlift. It helps you get up and down the cellar as well. It's working out really well.

I couldn’t walk so I needed a stairlift at the time and I still need it. Someone else chose Bruno and said that they would be here. The stairlift I had installed was straight up because you can come in my house and go straight upstairs to the second floor and it’s 12 steps. It’s a great stairlift and it's worth it. I like the smoothness of the ride and it’s very convenient for me when I have my family over who are usually here every week. It works and if you need it, it’s best to get it.

I’ve been using a stairlift for the past year and I wasn’t happy with the one that I had. I like that Bruno has that wonderful curved type that they put at the top and bottom of my stairs so the stairlift was out of the way. And, I like how sturdy it was. It fits fine and it does exactly what I wanted it to. The rep was wonderful. The installers came in and put the stairway in, and it was great. They did a demo on how to use it but since I’ve been using one, it’s not a big deal. However, it would be really nice if you put some cover so the back would be more in line with how we hide things in the home because the inner workings just show.
It was extremely expensive though. The other sales reps who came in were not complimentary about Bruno. They talked about how it was overturned and too expensive and usually wouldn’t want that particular one. But it was the only one that really and truly could build a system that would not block my hallway. Furthermore, we replaced the stairlift so I’m very familiar with them and I think that people who didn’t know so much about them might have been put off by the other sales reps. The other thing that people should know when they buy their stairlift is that as you become used to using them, especially to those of us who are challenged in our mobility, we tend to carry things on our laps up and down. People should be very careful to get a sturdy enough one to handle the extra weight that they don’t think about when they’re considering a stairlift. And Bruno being sturdy was one of the reasons why we did go with them.

I'm very happy with Bruno. My husband checked into them and he preferred their product. And we’re old and we got our stairlift before we really needed it. I was also very happy with the person who installed our curved stairlift. He did his job very professionally, didn't make any mess, and was very courteous. It felt good having him here.
We have three floors and I am so pleased with the stairlift because when I come in from the garage, I can go straight up to the bedroom floor or stop on the middle floor where the kitchen is. So, it turned out very well. I wanted it to go down faster, but they said it's a no-no. When I’m going up, it's at a better speed but going down, it's a little slow. But it's good because I can stop at any place I want and it recharges where it stops. And I can lift everything if I want to carry something. I'm satisfied with our stairlift and I would recommend Bruno to a friend. I had fallen and I broke my femur bone, and at that time we didn't have the chair and I recovered fantastically. But if I had the chair, I could've come straight home instead of going to rehab.

My husband and I both have bad ankles and we were in the middle of surgeries. We rented a two bedroom apartment that was on the second floor and we needed a way to go up the stairs. The Bruno stairlift was what Chuck’s Mobility offered. The Bruno rep came over, he measured and he gave us a price. He was very cordial and easy to work with. Then we had the indoors and straight stairlift installed. Chuck did the installation and he was very nice. I like that the stairlift goes up and down. It’s very good, it’s functional and it seems to do the job. It was the best thing we ever bought and I am definitely delighted with it. We talk about the Bruno stairlift with everybody that comes. The Bruno Stairlift is for my sister-in-law that is living with us. We are in a two-story house and her bedroom is on the second floor. She’s 82 and if push came to shove, she can walk up the steps, but there’s always a worry of falling. The lift eliminates that and gives us, the caregivers, peace of mind. And I’m sure it also gives her peace of mind that she can get upstairs.
The rep did us a very great favor. The delivery of the chair was 14 weeks and I said, “Holy cow, that’s an awfully long time.” So he offered to put a lift in on his own. He put in single ones that went up one set of steps and then another. We operated on that for better than ten months and it was a big help to my sister-in-in law through the interim period. I was amazed that he did that. It was a remarkable thing. The one that we bought from Bruno is a continuous two-story type of thing that goes up the stairs and around the corner, and then it continues on up. We had two people come in and the installer that we selected was $1000 less expensive for the same machine. The installation was over and done in a couple of hours. The lift is comfortable and everything is performing as the salesman had advertised. I'm very happy with it.

I have good experiences with Bruno. I use it about every day because I could not get in the house without it. I have got COPD, heart problems, and lung problems. I got a split level and, before, I just could not go up without sitting down, getting my breath and getting back on the oxygen. So, we were talking with the VA and they said to look into it. I have dealt with them before when I have got health aids from them. I've got a four-wheel scooter and I got three mobile walkers from them. So, they're good people.
The stairlift, on the other hand, is very helpful. It is a two straights inside. I wanted the one that makes the curve, but they said it was going to take eight weeks to get it and so they suggested I go with the two straight ones. One for the lower level and one for the top level. The installation team came in and went to work and next thing I knew, they said, "You are all set," and showed me how to run them. They knew what they were doing. I have had it for two months now. They made it a lot easier.

I couldn't walk anymore so I bought a stairlift and it was the Veterans administration who chose Bruno over other stairlift providers. I had them install the straight stairlift from the top into a hallway. The installation took four hours and it fits my stairwell very well. I have had the stairlift for about six weeks now and it makes my life a little easier. I like that it’s electric and I don’t have to crank it. But before I had this one, I barely used the Bruno stairlift. It was not long enough and I had trouble getting the extension for it. The extensions I found were about $500 for an eight-foot extension which is always excessive. Also, the stairlift is a little bit slow. It takes slightly over a minute for it to get all the way up or down. Other than that, my experience has been very good and I'd tell a friend that Bruno stairlift works fine.

Bruno Independent Living Aids is the only stairlift company that would do two landings and would carry my weight. And I've never met a man more professional or kinder than John, who represented Bruno. He was wonderful. He and his wife worked on board the first stairlift outfit. The installation was first-class. The stairlift has two landings and it makes two left curves.
The stairlift is comfortable and reliable. It's well-designed, quiet and top-quality all the way. It makes my life a lot easier. Prior to purchasing that, I was having difficulty climbing the stairs and in order to ameliorate that, I put in a second banister. So, we had two nice, old banisters and I wound up pulling my big, old body up the stairs and aggravated both shoulders. I'm currently in therapy for frozen shoulders, but I don't have to irritate them anymore when I get on this great Bruno stairlift. They were very informative and the installation went very smoothly. The straight stairlift comes from the garage to the main floor so it does fine. Right now, we’re using it to bring the grocery up. It’s very efficient and we like it. I wish that you didn't have to stand there and hold the button the whole time you're waiting for it to come up but I realized that's a safety feature. There are seven steps that go down to the front door and there wasn't enough room to curve so they had to install another one that would go on down to the basement. The Bruno stairlift gets my father up the stairs without even being huffy-puffy by the time he gets to the top and having to rest for half an hour before he goes anywhere else. He has a medical condition that has gotten worse and he needs the stairlift in order to stay at home. But he’s an old mountaineer and I had visions of getting this thing in there and him refusing to use it. But he likes it on the way up. He says the speed’s too slow on the way down. Still, the stairlift is pretty darn good quality. It’s expensive but it’s much less expensive than him not being able to stay at home, and that's not what he wanted either. I would recommend it for those people who can afford it.
The sales representative was very nice too. He explained how it would be installed, the process, that there was a waiting period and what was needed or not needed based on what the stairs looked like. What I didn’t know was that there’s maintenance required and the cost is pretty steep. It's $1000 for the first year’s maintenance and I thought that should have been included.
The sales rep had also given us options for a straight run and then a walk and then another straight run or a wrap-around. We went with the curved stairlift because it didn’t make any sense to not go with something that would accommodate the two different floors of the house for someone who is getting less and less mobile. To us, it meant that it would take him to the end of his life possibly in the house, with help. Otherwise, there appeared to be an increase in fall risk and we didn’t want to deal with it.
I didn't picture the stairlift until it’s actually in though, and it takes up some of the stairwell. But there was nothing else that could be done. It had to fit. I’m pretty pleased with it actually. The way it fits the stairwell is quite good because my mother doesn’t need to use the stairlift and she’s able to hang on to the rail and walk beside it. Other than that, the installation experience wasn’t any different than what they had told me about. The installers came when they said they were gonna come, and they called to say when they were close. They were courteous and clean and although they made noise, that was fine. They were in and out.

He put the stairlift together and then he came in and measured it, did what he had to do and then he tried it out. Then he wanted me to try it out and told me how everything worked. It took him three hours 'cause he had to put certain things together. He got it hooked up to the electric where it charges and he left a book for me to read.
My stairlift is straight on the first floor. It goes slowly and it has a seat belt on it, so it's really smooth. It's also sturdy. You just go up, put your seat belt on and everything goes well. One part is on the arm of the chair where you go up on the ride, and the other part is in case you need a remote when you leave it at the top or bottom. It has helped a lot since I have to come down with one step because of the way my foot is, and one knee hurts more than the other. So, it's a real blessing. I'm really satisfied with Bruno.

But their sales reps gave me a runaround a bit for a while. They said the stairlift was going to be there but it wasn't. They told me it hasn’t arrived yet, although the reason it didn't arrive was they haven't ordered it. The issue was not too bad though and we straightened it out.
We opted for the straight stairlift and it was well-designed. They did a good job. One guy came out and put the lift in for about an hour. It didn’t take long since it is only 18 feet and isn't very big. He also demonstrated and told me how to use it. The stairlift's quality is all right, but the cost was awfully high. It is unfortunate your home experienced an electrical surge. While electrical surges are fairly uncommon, they can damage electrical components in various household devices. We had several questions and we even changed the order, and they did fabulously with it. Our lift is curved and it has to be turned a certain way to get by it on the stairs because she can’t get by it if it’s not swiveled. Compact is always better, but I understand that Bruno had so much that they had to get in there so there was not much they could do about it.

One of the sales reps was high-pressure, so their company was out from the get-go. The three companies have very similar cost, but the salesperson kept lowering the price which felt like we were in the company of a car salesman. The other rep was from a local and respected company, so it was a stiff competition. He was very credible too. This company and Bruno Stairlifts are very similar in their set-up, have good chairs and have a similar maintenance agreement. But I felt in the long run that Bruno was going to stand behind their product more and so did my friend. Also, the person who came for Bruno was the part-owner of the company, which she co-owns with her husband, and it seemed that she was honest and forthright.
We picked the straight stairlift. The installer came as agreed and took plenty of time to install it. He was here for about four hours and I’ve felt gratified rather than worried about that as it meant that he was taking care to install it correctly. He also demonstrated how to use it. He put the chair up if I wanted to have more room in the bottom hall to get by it. He also showed going up the stairs and then when you get up to the top that you swing it out of the way which is how I’ve been using it. Then I found that if I stopped a little bit before it gets all the way to the bottom, I can get off and anybody can get by. The only people who wouldn’t be able to get by is if they were very heavy. I also like that the stairlift takes from the first floor interior to the second floor interior and vice versa in good form. And as far as I can tell, the quality of the stairlift is fine.

But I only have the lift and whenever the lift picks up and swings the chair around, it’s about two feet away from where I really need it to be. It would be ideal if they could design a system where a retractable arm could slide in and out for another two feet and put the chair a little closer to the patient. Other than that, everybody from Bruno has been awesome and I’ve been really pleased with the whole setup and I’d recommend Bruno.

The Bruno reps have always been very nice to us when they come so we’ve always used them. They put the stairlift in well and they even cleaned up after themselves. Our other one was noisy, but Bruno's is nice and quiet and we love it. I wouldn’t be able to get up and down the stairs, or it would take a long time if I didn’t have it. Also, I like the size of the seat and the way you can get in and out of it by turning it by the swivel. Our other one also had a swivel but it was awkward.

I need to go up and down the basement steps and the VA went with Bruno Independent Living Aids for a stairlift for me. The company's sales reps came, measured, and took photographs which they sent back to the VA. Then the stairlift was installed and it went well. The quality of the stairlift is great.

My girlfriend moved in with me and she has rheumatoid arthritis. Bruno was available locally and their price was good. It was also much lower than the others we checked into. The sales rep explained everything thoroughly and he was very nice and helpful. Everything went well. They installed it on the date that they said they would and they were on time. However, it seems to be making a lot of noise when it goes downstairs. But other than that, it works so well and it’s much easier for my girlfriend having to try and climb the stairs because it was very hard for her before.

I have my room and bathroom down in the basement and the heart doctor said I shouldn't go up and down the steps anymore. I got the straight stairlift from Bruno and it has been wonderful. I didn’t have to pay for it because it went through the Mature Services. The rep from Bruno was very nice and others said he was cheaper than the others. Also, there were two gentlemen who came out to put the stairlift in. It fits the stairwell. While it was close because we have the old steps, it works. It doesn’t hit my knees when I sit on it. They also had me get on it and had me go down and go up. Furthermore, the features of it are wonderful. However, the first morning that I sat on it, it wouldn't go and I yelled for my daughter and I said that something's wrong. But, I didn’t have the arm down and the minute we put it down, it moved.

I couldn’t recommend Bruno's Westchester Stairlift more highly. This dealer was one of the easiest vendors I’ve dealt with given that I'm so old and I've dealt with a lot of people. They have courteous and very well trained installers and they've provided fast service. I got a refurbished stairlift and I couldn’t tell the difference between it and the new ones. It’s very functional and easy to use. The stairlift's value was very good for what the competition had priced elsewhere and I appreciate having it.

Bruno has been wonderful for my wife. She suffers from asthma and she can’t make it up the stairs on her own. I checked out all the companies and Bruno's equipment was better for my knees. We got the straight one with a manual swivel chair. My wife likes the convenience of the lift, and now she’s not exhausted when she gets to the top. The sales rep was excellent. Also, the installers were great. They were fabulous, very informative and they were a great help.

I had a good experience with Bruno Stairlifts. The installation team did a great job installing the straight stairlift. They were also very gracious and kind. However, when the stairlift goes up, it makes a lot of noise. Still, I'm feeling good about it because I'm able to go up and down the steps with ease. Furthermore, they're very affordable. All in all, it's worth going with Bruno instead of the other companies because you got a variety of prices and chairs that you can go with that other companies usually don’t offer.

I’m legally blind with partial vision. If I’m carrying things down the stairs, I'd need to hold on to the balancer, but still, my view would be obstructed by the things I've got and I'd get wobbly. Then if I’ve got something that would take two hands, I couldn't hold on to the balancer. So, I took a pre-emptive strike before something bad happens and got a stairlift from Bruno Independent Living Aids. Of all the stairlifts we looked at, Bruno's was fairly priced. Their sales reps were very good and the installation went fine. Also, the stairlift's quality is good. It's been very handy too. Since we keep the groceries on the lower level, we use it as dumbwaiter quite often. I would recommend it.

I purchased a stairlift primarily because my wife and I just want to move, so we thought we'd get rid of the steps and put in the stairlift instead. My daughter looked into stairlifts and we felt that Bruno Stairlift was better than others so that was what we got. The sales rep explained everything really good and the installers installed it in one day. They came in the morning and by the afternoon, the installer had it working and he showed us how it works. It is a straight stairlift against the wall and it goes straight up, about 12 or 13 steps from the main floor up to the upstairs. Overall, Bruno Stairlifts has cut down my walking up and down the stairs. The cost was reasonable and my experience has been good.

My mother lives with us now. She's 91 and she lives upstairs so, we had to find an easy way for her to get upstairs. My husband researched on stairlifts and Bruno Stairlifts had the best price and they were local, too, so we went with them. The salesperson came out and he was very nice, knowledgeable. The visit went well. The installers were very knowledgeable, friendly and quick. The straight stairlift that we got fits great and works well. My husband and I were able to get by it. It seems very sturdy and we haven't had any problems with it. The footrest was touching the stairs so, they came out and lifted it up. We've been very happy with the service, their response and the quality of the product. It's a good buy.

It's very difficult for my wife to get up and down the stairs and we got Bruno Stairlifts through our local DC government's program. It was a very good interaction. The Bruno reps called first and then they came by, did an assessment of my house, came back and did the straight stairlift. I'm in an old house and it's not the biggest but it works and it fits good. However, the stairway is a little narrower when the stairlift is upstairs and top of the steps, but it's okay. It is still doable and we can fold it up. The installation team was very professional. They installed the stairlift in a very reasonable time and explained to us how to operate it. It didn’t take all day. I was satisfied with the time that it took and they cleaned up too. They were very neat and they didn’t cause any damage to my house. My wife used them more than I do but she has nothing but praise for it.

We purchased a stairlift for our handicapped daughter. I had dealings with the local dealer for the walker and Bruno Independent Living Aids was very good to us so I thought I’d like to give them the business. The sales reps were very courteous and service-minded and they saw our concern. The installation team was excellent. They were also very compassionate and caring. We had a curved one installed about three weeks ago and it was completed three weeks to a month. Bruno is very good and we’re very happy with it. It fits the stairwell great. Bruno Stairlift has everything that we need. It’s a current model, up to date and brand new and it has the safety features that are good, like the safety belt.
Bruno Stairlift has made life a lot easier for all of us. It’s a very well-constructed stairlift and it’s a very sturdy machine. And when you get something sturdy and quality, you pay. Bruno Stairlift is standing behind their installation and the product. I would definitely recommend them and I would tell my friends that it’s a good quality machine. They can get something cheaper on the market but it’s the quality and they don’t want to take chances with safety especially with a handicapped person.

My mother needed a stairlift because she could no longer get up the stairs. Bruno was recommended by a friend, and the sales visit by the rep was excellent. The installers were in and out quick, which was perfect. They were clean pros. They also did a full demonstration. Our stairlift has a landing halfway up so there’s a section and another straight section. I have a wide stairway so it worked out really well. It takes up hardly any space. It’s also real clean-looking. My mother uses it the way it’s designed and has no problem with it. She can't get up and down the stairs without it. It's better than I thought and has exceeded my expectations which is rare. Bruno did an excellent job all the way around and I couldn’t be happier.

My knees and legs are gone and I have an awful time on the stairs. We looked at a big company that was advertised. We talked to them and we thought that we ought to have a comparison. And we liked Bruno better. Their sales rep was very nice. He was much nicer than the other one and he listened. The other guy more of told us. I have a divided stairway and with the straight stairlift, I still have to walk up five steps. A curved one would have been nice but my front door would lead into that so I couldn’t have used that one. I haven't had a problem with the stairlift but my friend is here with me a lot and it stops for him midway. Last night, we had quite a few groceries to carry up and it came up for me. But he had to make several trips and it seemed like if he carried anything heavy, it wouldn’t go. So their techs are coming on the 16th to check it out. Otherwise, I've really enjoyed the thing and I can get up the stairs better now.

But I cannot have it replaced because I have teeth problems and according to others, I have to fix my teeth first before I have to operate my knee. So meanwhile, I can climb up but I'm having a hard time so I just use my stairlift. I have some friends who have Bruno. I asked my friends and they said Bruno is good overall. I have at least two friends who have installed stairlifts from that company. They said they were satisfied so I tried and talked to Bruno.
I got the straight one and I only have 14 steps straight stair so it was easy. I like the Bruno stairlift better than Easy Climber's. Easy Climber has always been trying to convince me. Bruno is a little cheaper than them and it's good enough. Also, the interaction with the rep from Bruno was good. The installers did very well. I was satisfied with the demonstration and I can always call them in case I need them. But right now, it's okay with me. The stairlift is good going up but in going down sometimes, it gets a little bit stuck up and then I just wiggle and it will go down again. Still, I know that there is a lubricant that goes with it.

My experience with Bruno Stairlifts was excellent. I had interviewed two other companies and I investigated one but it was an online company. They didn’t have local people to do the installation and maintenance. But my reason for choosing Bruno was the professional, considerate and knowledgeable presentation of the gentleman that came to our home when we asked for a quote. He also was a major one that did come back and install it.
We have a turn in our stair and so we had to get the curved stairlift. The gentleman had the literature and he gave us options and then he told us how it would be done, that they would come back, take all the measurements and on the day of the installation, it would not be a lengthy process because it's a made to order type product. He answered all of the questions I had and I'm sort of a doubting Thomas sometimes because I don’t have good perception abilities. And he was able to put all of my fears at rest. He was a very effective person and he's an asset to the company.
We also had to move an appliance over, the site of where the chair origination comes around the stair and rests there. He was very good to do the measurements and confirm that it was possible to do that in the future. We couldn't do it right now because of funding because the stairs are quite expensive. But he was considerate of our needs and he observed Robert and saw how his mobility was and gave us reassurance that it would be a safe venture. The stairlift worked very well. It is very quiet and runs very smoothly. The way it turns for him to exit at the top of stairs, to get off facing the level of the floor is a good thing. The way it can be recalled from one floor to the other is another advantage because if we go out the front door but then want to come in at the back, you can just call it down with the little remote thing which they probably all have but that's a nice feature.
The gentleman was able to show us factual information and had literature about how they are available to back up what they put in and that they do service it. That was a big issue to me because being a female and having to do most of the stuff that has to be done at this stage in my life, that was a big factor to me. I wouldn't have to be searching for someone to come to provide the service. Pricing was good compared to what some of the other quotes were. It was definitely competitive. Another thing, the gentleman, the salesperson and his helper, the one that measured for the lift when he came back to install it, they were very cohesive in what they did.
They worked together and the one that was helping him seemed to read his mind or know what he needed. They did a very good job. They did it promptly and they cleaned up after themselves. I have recommended Bruno. Being elderly, you have friends that have similar situations and I've been asked what brand I use. I have shared that and shared my appreciation for what I did receive. So that's positive too because you hear some names more frequently than you do Bruno. In fact, I had not heard of Bruno. I only see it online but then when the gentleman came, that was the first time I had the opportunity to hear much about it.

Bruno had already put a stairlift inside the house a couple of years ago. However, I was in a car accident last August so I needed a way to get from my house at the wheelchair ramp. I needed a way to get across my deck and down the steps to the driveway so I needed the stairlift for out on the deck. So, that's what they did a couple of months ago. Their reps seemed very kind and if we had trouble, they came out and took care of the problem. My outdoor stairlift is okay. However, I just had two more surgeries and I'm in a cast now so I'm still not mobile. But when I use the stairlift, I have a problem bending my leg because there's only so much room. They only have so much room to work with as far as the width of the stairs so I have a hard time bending my knee. My husband has to help me to get up the top steps. Also, I wish it wasn’t leather because I tend to slide off when I'm on it trying to go upstairs. It's hard for me to sit back and stay there.

My wife called there and they referred us to another outfit that uses their equipment and puts them in.
During the sales visit, their two representatives were very good. They were very direct and helpful. After we talked to them, we decided to get a straight indoor stairlift from them. Dennis installed the stairlift by himself and he did a terrific job. Getting the stairlift has made life a lot better for my wife. We've liked the fact that at the top of the step, the stairlift turns to face her so she can go up to it with her walker then sit in it. Then the stairlift swivels back and down she goes. The equipment is terrific and it was installed properly. We're 100% satisfied with the operation and we recommend Bruno Stairlifts to anybody who is thinking of putting one in.

We met with two other providers, but Bruno Stairlift seemed like the one that we would rather work with. Actually, I paid about $150 extra to have their installer put it in rather than somebody who underbid him. We ended up with the straight stairlift option inside. The installer was very efficient. He came with somebody else and then he finished it up himself 'cause the other guy had to run off. So, it took him an extra half hour but that's no big deal. My stairwell is very narrow but when they set us up, there was no problem. We're retired, so it wasn’t something that frustrated me. Its smoothness is fine. However, both of us are a little frustrated with how long it takes to get down those stairs, but it's not that far. It's a matter of 10 seconds extra. Still, the stairlift that we got from Bruno is working perfectly. We're very pleased with their installation.
