I'm having trouble going up and down the stairs and decided to go with Bruno. They were the first, only and the best, and I didn't check for any other provider. The company is called Access here which is their local store. We spent a lot of time there then their sales reps came over here and talked to us. They measured and we talked about quilting. All kinds of good things happened with them and their level of customer service was very good. When we went over to the company to see the company and the products, they showed them to us and we tested them.
They sat and explained all about how they work. They talked about the company itself which is Access, and how it was a family company. They gave us the prices and we checked all that stuff. We very happy with that. Their installation team came and did a wonderful job. They put the stairlift in very easily and quickly. They didn't get in the way. The quality of the stairlift has been very good so far and it all runs well. If someone was to ask us about Bruno, we would tell them to go shop at Access.

I'm very happy with our experience with Bruno Independent. My husband was having problems with the stairs and a friend referred me to them. There are other ones out there, but we were told they were the best. A gentleman then came out to measure and he was very nice. We got an inside unit and we had to get two separate chairs because they couldn't do a curved as my door would have been in the way. Then, the installers who came and installed the stairlift were great too. I even called back to compliment them.
With the stairlift, my husband can now get down the stairs and we can go to his doctor's appointments. We would not have been able to do that without it. The unit is sturdy and it seems to be very good. We've also had a couple of power failures since we've had it and its battery has kicked in, so we haven't had problems with that. I would recommend it to a friend.

My wife has a movement disorder. We were getting grab bars installed in our house and I asked the fellow doing it about other kinds of mobility assistance. We were thinking initially of a vertical platform lift for our back porch to raise and lower a wheelchair. I asked his opinion of whether our stairways were too narrow for a chairlift and he said that it would be possible. They also said that they had a previously used unit for part of the installation and it would save us a little money. My wife and I liked Kohll's from Omaha for the work that they had done installing grab bars so we decided that we couldn't do any better than their recommendation, so we went with Bruno. The installer measured the stairway and we got both the vertical platform lift and the stairlift.
Bruno's accounting department was efficient and the sales reps were really great and objective. They provided everything, returned email and phone messages and sent an expert out to install the equipment. The installation team was quiet, efficient and friendly. For the vertical platform lift, they had to bring in a carpenter and modify our back porch, so that they could attach it. They also did a very nice job of blending the old parts of the porch with new wood. They got everything done in one day and things worked out well.
So far, the lifts work well. We don't have long stairways but we have two chairs on different rails to make things work and they work fine. The stairlift hasn't stalled nor fallen off the wall. The logic of the location of the chair when we're getting in and out makes sense. The speed seems about right and the chair's reasonably comfortable. Also, the stairlift makes it possible for my wife to use a special shower downstairs and to get to a part of the house that she couldn't reach previously without a lot of difficulty. However, there are four remote devices and one of them seems to have a little of a bit of a bug in it, when the other three works fine. Other than that, I liked everything about Bruno.

I have a bad knee and it bothered me too much. We live in a ranch house and we have a game room downstairs, and everything we do here is through the garage to go anywhere. I had had one other stairlift manufacturer which is Acorn visitor, and I wasn’t too happy with them. A friend of mine who had a Bruno stairlift recommended the fellow who handled Bruno. I went to him but at that time, I didn’t really know anything about them. I got a straight stairlift from Bruno and I had a terrific interaction with their installation team. The stairlift is working very well and I like getting up and down the stairs. It has made a big difference for me going up and down ‘cause I’m limited in what I do before and I didn’t go out as much. Now, I just go down whenever I want. Overall, the experience has been great for me.

I'm 82 years old and have a hard time walking. I have a straight stairlift from Bruno. The installation was fine, although the installers had to come back since there was a couple of things that didn't work out. They had to change something. The stairlift is nice to have because I'm up and down the stairs a lot of times. I have a lot of laundries and the stairlift helps me get the laundry downstairs. The quality of the stairlift is good. However, it would be hard for a big person to have the stairlift and do anything with it. Other than that, thank God for technology.

Beverly has been in the hospital and she tires out and has shortness of breath when climbing the stairs, so we bought a stairlift. We got a straight stairlift from Bruno. I've done business with them before and the interactions that I've had with their salespeople have been very good. Beverly's brother has a curved unit and several of my clients have stairlifts too. The installation of our stairlift was good. The installers had Beverly go up and come back down, and they also showed her how to turn the chair. We're very pleased with our experience with Bruno and we have already recommended them. The stairlift that we got from them will make a difference as we age. It is very good and I let people try it out.

I’m 87 years old and I have a little trouble going up and down the steps. The VA said they would put me on a chairlift and they did that. The reps of the Bruno stairlift company came out here and did some measurements, and I had a good interaction with them. Then the same people came out here and installed the stairlift. They were good and it took them three hours to put it in. I'm very well satisfied with it. We also have one at the church from the same company. Get a Bruno stairlift if you can and get it for free if you can.

My wife and I are both elderly. She needed some help on the four or five stairs that we had. At St. Joseph's Rehab where she was, the physio man recommended two stairlift brands and Bruno was the one closest to our house. So, we decided to try Bruno. We purchased a small, straight stair lift that went from our main floor up to our bedroom. The installers were both very professional. Since the installation, the stairlift has let my wife go downstairs and manage to get out the door. It has helped a lot. I recommend this company.

We purchased a stairlift for my disabled son and went with one from Bruno because of their amazing salesperson. He came when he said he was going to then he showed us some options. We told him what we needed it for, what we needed it to do, and he told us which one was our best bet. He had a really good knowledge of the product. We got a straight indoor stairlift and it fits our stairwell good. The installation team that put it in was really amazing too. They were very friendly, super-knowledgeable, quick and reliable. The stairlift has given my son access to an area of the house he hasn’t been before. And so far, we have found the product to be of good quality. I would recommend Bruno. I've told other moms in the group I’m in on Facebook that we got a Bruno stairlift and it’s amazing.

We needed a stairlift for mobility. I know the dealer and he introduced me to Bruno and it’s a good product. My interaction with the installers was excellent and they cleaned up after. I had a straight stairlift installed inside the house. It fits well with the stairwell and it works smoothly. We had Savaria before and we were constantly having problems with the micro switches. Bruno seems to have lesser switches and more durable. I have already recommended Bruno and I would let my friends see it.

I like the straight stairlift from Bruno. It’s very good. It has two remotes, if I’m downstairs, I can bring it down and if I’m upstairs, I can bring it up. I purchased it because I had hip and knee replacement. The salesperson of Bruno that came out to look at the house was very informative. However, the installation didn’t go too well. They put in the wrong battery. So when we lost power, it blew the battery and they had to come out and replace it. I wish that the foot stand was a little sturdier too. It was also a little pricey, but it’s good and safe. Not to mention, it’s also better than the other ones I looked into. In fact, I have another house in Shelby Township and I’m thinking of getting one from the basement to the kitchen as well.

I have very short breaths. And I didn't wanna fall down because of that, so my medical condition demanded a stairlift. There are too many companies that do outside stairlifts, but I chose Bruno Independent Living out of all of them. Their salesperson spent more time with me and was more thorough. He was down-to-earth and more concerned on the way it was put in to suit my needs, and the other fellow from a different company just wanted to put one in, anywhere.
The installation took a little longer than I expected, but there were no complications. The installers got here a little late, and it was done that evening. Then they gave me a quick how-to-use and they told me to call them at any time, which I did later to verify a few things that I was concerned about. I asked them all the questions that I needed to know how to operate it and now I was satisfied. With the Bruno stairlift, I can get out more and it’s mentally helping me. I have two more stairlifts to put in, which I’m gonna do down the road, and I’m gonna choose Bruno.

I had been in the hospital and I couldn't walk anymore and go up the stairs. They wanted me to go to the home but I didn't want to so we put in the stairlift so I could get upstairs to bed and to the bathroom. My daughter works as a nurse in an old-age home and she deals a lot with Motion chair. Bruno puts it in and they do lots of work at the home so that's who she wanted to go with.
My son-in-law who is a handy fella was here when the installers put the stairlift in and he thought they had done a pretty good job. But it was gonna cost $10,000 instead of $3,000 to go around the corner so we didn't do that. We got the straight stairlift and it goes from the bottom of my step stairs to the landing so I have a couple of steps to get to the next floor but that's working out pretty well. I can get to the top story now which I couldn't before. I also have a vertical ear infection that I get a little bit dizzy at times but I haven't had any problem on the lift. With something new, there are always a few little glitches but we’re managing very well right at the present time so I'm well satisfied with it so far.

I have problems with my legs and feet and it was decided that I should have a Bruno here for safety measures to keep me from falling. I fell a couple of times and that takes me off of the steps to come back and forth to my garage and shower. The salesman had a few words with my wife about the longevity of the machine, the guarantee that’s on it and the things that you can do. Then, they moved about and showed us how to operate them. They were all business while they were here. The installation went smoothly and it was efficient to go up and down taking a lot of load off my feet. It has an automatic control on it that you can kinda run it without being on it to get it down and up. It’s a nice machine.
It’s worthwhile owning the stairlifts from Bruno. It helps a lot especially to anyone that’s in my condition. I have to struggle to get up the stairs if I don’t have something like that. With Bruno, all I’ve got to do is get on, sit down and push my arms up and down, hit the button and go. My house is a split level and it only covers six steps which was the one we got. I wish it would have covered the other six. We’ll order in to do both sets of steps which would have been 12 instead of six. I’m satisfied and I would recommend it.

My husband, Floyd, and my son, Chad, are both disabled. I happened to see Bruno and they were wonderful. After seeing that they are local, I felt comfortable. I needed somebody in Latrobe and the fact that their product is made in the United States impressed me. It was also important to me to have a good guarantee. The salesman's presentation was fine. It made me decide to go with the Bruno stairlift. The salesman was also the guy who put the stairlift in and he did an excellent job. Then he did a demonstration and we didn’t have any problem understanding him. We did walk right through the stairlift though. As a matter of fact, we had to put a couple of handrails at the bottom of the stairs. He put those there so that my husband could get off of there safely. The stairlift has been very good for my husband. I was always worried about him falling and now, I don’t worry about that.

My wife broke her leg going upstairs, and she's been in rehab ever since. I purchased a stairlift so she doesn't have to worry about climbing the steps. Bruno was the closest one to us in case we ever have any trouble for warranty or service. The sales rep from Bruno was a fine guy. He handled everything in the correct way. He was also on the installation team and my interactions with them went very well too. It took them two and a half hours to put up the stairlift. It's been used three times and it's been successful. I like it and it works.

Our house has got two floors in it. My late husband doesn’t walk that well so we got a stairlift. The stairlift took him up and down the step. It made it easy for him. The guy from Bruno Independent Living Aids who came out was really good. He was nice and polite. He was well-groomed and gave me kinds of how I could do something or how they could do it. We had a straight stairlift installed. The guy measured it really good and it fit perfect. I had some concerns about it, but it worked out good. The installation team were polite. They have let me know every step of the way what was gonna happen. The quality of the stairlift is very good. One my husband's sisters and his niece came over and they said it looked really nice. They thought it would be a little worse, but they were pleased too.

Benny is not very stable on his feet, so he gets really nervous going down the stairs. His balance is off and he got the stairlift for the garage stairs from Bruno because Medicaid covered it. The rep explained everything about how it worked and how to keep it dusted. The installation went smoothly and the quality seemed to be good. However, when the stairlift gets to the bottom, it doesn’t turn to the left. It only turns to the right at the top. In a perfect world, Benny would like it to turn to the left, so he can get out facing that way, but it's probably a safety feature. Since having it, his anxiety has not been as bad because he's not worried about falling going down the stairs now and he has been a little bit more relaxed.

My wife is 81 and she has fallen six times down the steps in a condominium unit where we live in. When we decided to purchase a stairlift, we had a price from another guy which was $6,000 and everyone we talked to said it should cost about $3,000 and that’s what it cost at Bruno. Bruno had the lowest price and the lady up the street had put one in when her husband was still alive and it worked fine so we went with them. Working with Gary who sold us the unit went fine and the installer who put the stairlift in did a good job. However, it took a little longer than it should have. We had a piece in it that went bad so the remotes didn’t work but they came back and fixed it. Bruno is a good stairlift. It meets all of our expectations and my wife uses it every day.

We called these men and they couldn't repair it and they sold us the new one. The installation went very well. We got a straight stairlift that leads from downstairs to the upstairs bedroom. We don't have to take a room downstairs for a bedroom and that makes a big difference. We have the use of the upstairs. I like all the features of the stairlift and the cost is fair. We're perfectly satisfied with those folks at Bruno and I would recommend them.

I'm 70. My husband passed away last summer. We have a two-bedroom house with an outbuilding that has his old shop at the bottom and a little apartment on top. In the past, both of our kids and their families have lived there as well as our grandson and his wife. It has always been used for something. This year, I spent a lot of time redoing the house, things that my husband and I had decided to do but just hadn't gotten around to and the apartment was one of those things. I had all the walls taken down and redone, and I had the new stairs put up there. I thought that if I'm gonna use it a lot, then I'm gonna need a stairlift because I'm not as young as I used to be and I'm having some heart issues. That way, I can carry something up, and I'm not winded when I get to the top.
Also, I have a friend who may be able to move in and that way we both have somebody to check on us if we need to. There are 17 steps and a stairlift is an amazing thing. If Kelly moves up there or maybe someday I’ll move up there and I have a bag of groceries on my lap, I can get up to the top. The sales rep I worked with at Bruno was good. We used the same company when the VA provided a lot of helpful stuff for my husband so I was pleased with them. Installing the stairlift took a lot longer than the installers had thought. They worked on it for about five hours but it was perfect. Furthermore, it made sense to know that there are keys for the lock. I have seven-year-old grandkids and I know they would spend all day going up and down on that stairlift and they can't play on it so that’s a really good safety factor. Given my experience, I would tell friends to call Bruno.

My husband was handicapped and we had a chairlift put in many years ago. He died and I did not use it after that. Then my knees got bad and I started using it again, but it didn't last very long after that 'cause it was pretty old. It was a Bruno, whose price was comparable to what we paid 20 years ago, so I thought it was a good deal. The people who put the chairlift in were wonderful. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The chairlift works wonderfully, and my great granddaughter loves it. It's quiet and it's very convenient for me. I've had several friends in and out during my surgery and they've seen the chairlift. It's right there when you walk in the front door, so they know I've got it and that I like it. I bought another one so I have two now, one to the second floor and one to the basement.

I needed to get down on my basement as I have a pool table and different things that I'd like to use. I'm a paraplegic so installing a stairway was an option and that was the option I took. We looked at options throughout the past two years and what would best fit our budget. When we spoke with the representative at Mobility 101, he showed us the Bruno stairlift. He showed us the things that went along with it and it fit our budget, it fit our scenario, and it worked exactly for what we needed it for. Everyone I've dealt with at Mobility 101 were professional, kind and helpful. I was very happy to work with them.
I had a straight stairlift installed and the installation team was very helpful and very professional. They did an incredible job. They were done a lot sooner that I was guesstimating. The stairlift is good and I now enjoy going up and down. I purchased my house two years ago, so it's awesome to finally get down on my pool table and use it. The service and the product had opened up my mobility in my house that much more. Bruno stairlift is a good product. With Bruno's price and accessibility, I would absolutely encourage somebody to get a stairlift. It's obviously a great piece of machinery so I would definitely let people know about it if I knew a family or friends that needed one. I'm very happy with Bruno stairlift. It is working wonderfully and I absolutely love it.

I had three companies come to my house. The reps from the other companies didn't have nice things to say about other people, but James, Bruno's sales rep, didn't badmouth the other companies. I was very excited with the way he came into my house and talked very frankly about his product and what he could do for my dad. However, my experience after that wasn't so good. James both called me and emailed me, but after I gave my initial deposit, I never heard from him again. I called regarding some problems and yet, I did not hear back from him.
One big problem that we had was James and I had measured and mapped the stairlift to come out onto the landing so that my father, who is paralyzed on one side, could easily sit in it. Unfortunately, I wasn't home during installation and the installer didn't have clear instructions from James. My mom said we needed the door to close and the installer just followed that. So now, the stairlift is not safe. My dad can fall right over trying to get into it.
I talked to a rep who told me that if I wanted the bar extended, it would cost me. They are not gonna fix it for me since there was an adult at home during installation. When I told her that there is a safety issue which is what I'm concerned about, she said that I should have thought about it and should have been there. I told her that I mapped it out with their sales person, but then I was told, "That's too bad." I also got all the excuses in the world. In the interim, I asked if we could put an extension so that my dad doesn't have to bend over so far to slip the lever to make the chair swivel. She said if I modify anything, I'm gonna void the warranty. She also said that they'd do some research and get back to me. So far, I have not heard from anybody, except for a phone call asking if I want an extended warranty.
The chair is working fine, though. It goes up and down. My dad also has modified how he's using the stairlift. Instead of leaning over to get in, he goes down a stair or two, so he doesn't have to turn the chair and swivel it out, which is the safety part I wanted. He's stepping down the stair and this could cause him to fall but once he's in it, he's safe. He can go downstairs now. Still, I'm disappointed with Bruno.
Thank you for letting us know of your concerns regarding the installation of your stair lift. We will be contacting you shortly to learn more details and to reach out to your local dealer. We want to make sure you and your family feel confident the lift is installed safely.

He is a World War II veteran so I called the Veteran Association and applied for a stairlift. They said he was entitled to one and so they supplied him with a Bruno Stairlift. Since getting it, the stairlift has been a lifesaver and we're very happy with it. However, I was a bit concerned with the upward lift. It had a hesitation and I didn’t know if we were doing something wrong. I had Bruno's technicians come out and they double checked it. They said we weren't doing anything wrong. Still, the stairlift supplies our needs. It's great for going up and down our steps and it has helped us a lot. It's very quiet and the ride is very smooth. Also, it doesn't take up that much space. I have a problem going up and down the stairs since both of my knees are bad. I shopped around for a stairlift then I went through with the Cedar Valley. I really like the price and it’s a better estimate than the other places I got, which is wonderful. I dealt with the rep named Curtis and he was really nice and very knowledgeable. He had another man who came along with him during installation and they asked me if I had any questions. They told me how to run it and it was really good. Curtis taught me how I would go in, how it would be, and what’s the effect.
I like the curved stairlift to continue going up and still, I got the two pieces put together. It took a little bit more room than I thought it would from the wall, but Curtis said that that was because of the doorframe. I had a door at the top of my stairs and they took the door down but the frame was still there, so they had to move it out a little bit more. They also cleaned up with nothing left behind and did a wonderful job. Now, riding on the stairlift could be a little faster but it’s better to stay on the seat as it is for safety. I like that there’s a window after going around the curve too.

My wife has a myotonic dystrophy which is a muscular disorder. She was having trouble with balance and in going up the stairs, and particularly coming down the stairs was becoming very scary for her, so I looked into two or three different stairlift providers. I had a friend who had used the stairlift of Bruno and he liked it very much, so I checked his system out. Also, the supplier of this stairlift was very close to where we lived. So, I decided to go with Bruno. During the sales visit, the interaction that I had with the reps was perfect and very helpful. They came out to the house and looked at it. Then they explained what they would do and gave us some options. The stairlift that we got is straight. We also looked at the curved one, but it was too expensive.
When it came time to put the stairlift in, the installers were everything that I expected them to be and I couldn’t ask them to do any more than they did. They informed us how it worked beforehand, then they installed it. Afterwards, they ran us through some examples and left us knowing what to do. We like that the stairlift works and its quality looks fine to me so far. My wife has no fear at all in using it. It goes at a slow pace and the ride is very smooth, so it works just the way it should. Right now, I’m very pleased with it.

I am 89 years old and my home recently was elevated by 9'. This caused me to install an outdoor lift. It was a great idea, however, the thing only works 50% of the time. Not only have I gotten stuck in the lift, but my neighbors also got stuck. It is hard enough for me to walk up the stairs; but getting out of the lift was nearly impossible. My neighbor had to get a step ladder and place it in the lift. I then climbed the ladder and then managed to get myself over the door onto another step ladder so that I can get out of it (talk about a safety issue).
I asked around my community (Breezy Point, NY) about their results and almost everyone has a negative "story" to tell about how they got stuck in the Lift. That prompted me to send a letter to the CEO of Bruno about 3 weeks ago... NO RESPONSE. Apparently, these lifts are only good where there is perfect weather (no wind or sand. This lift costs more than 20 grand... so I am bitterly disappointed and saddened by the results.
Thank you for notifying us of the problem you are having with your vertical platform wheelchair lift. As per our phone conversation, we have notified the local dealer to inspect the lift to ensure it is working properly for you. Your safety and mobility is important to us.

For quite a few years, I’ve been crawling up and coming down on my butt and I haven’t enjoyed that very much. My chairperson for the county got me a recliner chair and that thing that I press the button if I need help, as well as the stairlift. I had three different men come out -- one for Acorn and the other two -- and each one spent a long time doing measurements. The Bruno rep would call and ask me, but I said that I wasn't making the decision. She said that if there was a damage or if the stairlift fell apart, they would fix it but Acorn wouldn’t. That was the big point of why my chairperson took this Bruno stairlift.
During the installation, somebody said it would be one person to install it, although thought it would be a whole crew coming in. The guy came and I saw somebody go around the house. They were walking around and all of a sudden, they got my garage door open even though they didn’t ask me. That was funny. Then, I realized that they had to do so much outside. The truck was at the end of the driveway in the street and their back door was open. They were cutting things and doing things and making noise. Much of that stuff was done outside. Then, they came in and they were inside for quite some time to work again.
They had me sit in the stairlift. I didn’t realize how you swing the chair out, but I caught on to that. I like the ride up and down, although I have a little trouble getting in. I’ve got really short legs and I’ve lost height. I used to be about 5’4” and now I’m not even 5’, so my feet don’t reach down. However, the ride is nice and the quality of the stairlift is very good. I’m pleased and I’m making too many trips on this. If I forgot something, I would be right back up and wouldn’t have crawled back up as I had before. Also, my daughter does daycare and she sends the kids sometimes. The two brothers came and were given rides, and they had fun with that.

My husband broke his ankle and it’s almost impossible to avoid those stairs many times a day. Bruno's price was better and they could do everything we wanted so we went with them. However, when I first called Bruno Independent Living Aids, I thought the sales rep was busy and that he wasn’t gonna come out but he did. He called and said he had time to come out. Had he not come out, I wouldn’t have bought from them because the other company told me that nobody else could do a stairlift on our kind of stair except their company and that anybody else would have to take the door at the top off or cut a big hole in it and only their company could avoid that. So I thought we had to go with them until the Bruno rep came out and explained that it won't be necessary and that they could do it all fine.
The sales rep got all my questions answered and we had a straight indoor stairlift installed. The installation was fine. The installers showed me how to oil it and dust it, and explained how to use it. The quality seems fine. It’s very, very important right now for both my husband and I because the steps are very steep and there’s no landing so we’re using it all the time and we’re happy with it. I’d recommend Bruno stairlift.

I got neuropathy and it's getting worse, and I got a bad back too. The VA went to Bruno Independent Living Aids and set me up with them. The lady who came down to measure and put in the stairlift order was nice, very friendly and knew what she was doing. I got a straight type stairlift installed down the basement where I go get groceries and stuff and where I keep my tools and do things for the house. The installer was great. He was professional, well-mannered and cleaned up his mess. He knew what he was doing and he had the stairway up in about two or three hours. Before, I couldn’t maneuver the stairlift up and down the stairs but I can now maneuver it. My wife uses it more than I do because she does the washing at the basement. We both enjoy it but I suggest they speed it up a bit. Bruno is a good company to work with and I'd recommend them.

My son-in-law and daughter bought a house that has a mother-in-law’s suite. To get up to the main floor, there are 20-some-odd steps. I have two bad knees and after making up and down the stairs a couple of times, I said that we were gonna put a lift in. Prior to buying the house, my son-in-law and daughter looked at a house that had a lift so they have the idea. My son-in-law shopped around and ended up getting Bruno.
The salesman came out and talked to me. He was very personable, explained everything in detail in layman’s term and when he came back to install it, he was very meticulous in measuring up the stairs because it goes up, hits the landing and then turn. We also had to call an electrician to put in a new wall plug. Then they also went through all the safety of the system and checked the result, and everything was cleaned up before they left. I got two straight lifts installed, so I get to sit two times and for $15,000 more, I can change the buses at the landing upstairs. In the last couple of days, I noticed that the stairlift goes up faster than it comes down which is unusual. It starts out slow before it picks up speed and I’m not that happy about that. Other than that, the stair lift looks good, it's of good quality and I have not had problems with it.

I have two Bruno chairlifts. I had one installed when we moved in here and it will be five years in October. It was put in by a guy from Whitby, who has since gone out of business and retired. We have it looked at every year to make sure everything’s working right. Then, I was having problems getting upstairs and now we have two sets of stairs. I had the other chairlift put in three months ago. It’s the same make but a newer model and it works better than the older one. It's straight and it goes up to the second floor. There's plenty of space in there when you get to the top. I can also fold it up, so if somebody else comes up they can get by just fine. Both the chairlifts are working well. I’m happy with what we got.

Bruno has made a world of difference for me. I had a hip replacement surgery about a year and a half ago and I've had problems with it ever since. I also wound up with an infection in the hip, so they took the hip out. Our stairs are steep and small enough that I couldn't get up and down, so I needed a stairlift. We had rented a wheelchair from Norco so we asked them and they told us about a guy in Pocatello. The guy had a couple of different models, but he really recommended the Bruno. So, we took his word for it. The installer came over and he had all the stairlift in, set up and ready to go in one day. We've been really happy with Bruno's stairlift. Our bedroom, bathroom and laundry rooms are downstairs but we also have an upstairs bedroom, so the stairlift is a lifesaver.

Installing the Bruno stairlift went well. It took the installer the better part of the day. He had some problems with the transportation as well as another couple of things. But so far, so good. However, we have a little jig in there and we may call back and ask the installer to come out and see what he can do about it. It's not smooth all the way down. Still, I like the stairlift. I'm 85 and it's not getting easy to go up and down the stairs. My husband, although younger, isn't in the best of health either.

Bruno talked about what they could do and really worked well to get the installation done. They had to build a ramp out from the kitchen because the door was too narrow to put the stair glide there. They moved the steps out to the middle of the downstairs utility room. We have six stairs going down from the kitchen to the utility room, which is how we get out the back way. They connected it to the stairs and had gotten the stair glide on. I was amazed. The fellas that came out were absolutely wonderful. I can’t praise them highly enough. They also came back yesterday and they were very professional, good people. The stairlift's quality is excellent and the only thing we had to do was the painting.
My son can’t get out very well and he’s home-bound and one day he was able to go and sit outside for a while, which was really nice. The footrest was too small though. My son is 260 pounds and his one leg is in a brace. He was practicing going down himself and the leg slipped off it because there was not enough room for it. I asked if Bruno could get a bigger one and they just installed it yesterday. It’s a bit longer and wider, so it should help some.

My wife and I are 87 years old. The VA was here and they said that we needed a stairlift. Three days later, a straight Bruno stairlift was installed. I was very impressed with the team that did that. They came all the way from Pennsylvania and they installed the unit within three hours. The stairlift is very good and its quality is excellent. We don’t have to walk up and down the steps anymore. When the unit gets down to the bottom, it stops and then a metal piece comes out and it goes down the rest of the way. Then, the unit goes down to the concrete floor, so we can get off there. My wife fell down the steps one time, and that was before we had the stairlift installed. Now, I don’t have to worry about her falling. If she doesn't wanna sit in the stairlift, I’ll strap her in. The unit's got a safety belt. I'm very satisfied and I'd recommend Bruno.

I had an abdominal aneurysm that gave me a 50% chance to live. Then my lung collapsed and they found a blood clot in my left leg and amputated it below the knee. I still have problems with it above the knee. Then my kidneys collapsed and I also had a tracheotomy. 11 operations later and 10 months in intensive care, I started to get my good leg back working but I'm still confined to a wheelchair.
I called Bruno and the rep, Chris talked to me about a motorized wheelchair. He also suggested the stairlift, too. I said, I’ll get both of them probably in the end. Chris and his associates were good. One of them who came over here was also nice. I like their service, attitude, knowledge and the installation process. I had the straight one installed and it fits okay. I love my Bruno stairlift. My place was built in ’76, so I can’t get into the stairlift and a couple of door entries especially a bathroom downstairs. It is a tight squeeze at the bottom of the steps to actually transfer from the chair to the lift but then upstairs I got plenty of room, so no problem.
I like that the stairlift can turn to 45 degrees. I wish it did though when it was at the bottom of the steps. That would make life a lot simpler for a tight stairwell like I have. If I could turn it, I could really get on really easy. Because when you raise the arm on it, that middle part that kind of sticks in the flat part of my butt and my lower back and it’s like I gotta get around that before I can get on the seat. Nevertheless, the stairlift has enabled me to stay here because my place is paid for. I’m not moving and I’m not gonna go into debt. I’ve got a 100% disability and I’ve been here for 20 years so the stairlift was a good answer for me.

They went to the VA to see about doing it and said that they’d let me know when it would be approved. Then, I got a phone call saying it was approved. I started getting people calling me to come out so they could make a bid on it before they got the stairlift installed and it took about three weeks. The VA said that if it were regular steps, they'd just send somebody out to do it but when it gets to where the stairlift has to go up and turn, there’s a difference in pricing so they take bids on it and then they send somebody out. I had Bruno installed and it's been good. I use it all the time because I don’t wanna repeat what I did before. I like that it turns when it goes up and makes the bend. It's also easy to operate.

The installers were very kind and courteous, and made sure that he was comfortable with using the equipment before they left. My dad was a heavy guy but he was able to get up and down from it. He also didn't have any problems with stability while he was on it or turning it. However, when we put down the foot plate, it hit the stairs. From our investigation, we thought that Bruno was a better one. It seemed like it was built more sturdier and with better materials and softer seats. Also, we liked its various features including being able to turn the chair around to get on and off. We purchased a Bruno stairlift about 11 years ago and it wore out, so we had to purchase a new one. The sales rep, Robert, during our recent purchase was very helpful and knows his subject matter. He went through it all with us. We want what we already had and we decided to go ahead and purchase the same thing again.
We had a date for them to come out for installation and Robert got ready to come and found out there was some critical part that wasn't there. So, he had to order that and it took two or three weeks to get that. But when the guy came out, everything went smoothly. He came up fairly early in the morning and he had it all done by noon. We've had good experience with Bruno although I didn't think it should have worn out quite as fast as it did. There was some kind of oil leakage in the casing for the motor. I was told that that cannot be replaced and I gotta get a whole new unit. That was too bad after spending all that money and then I had to do it all over again now.

So, I went on that route and got a Bruno chairlift. Bruno’s customer service has been very good. They went through the VA to get it paid for and they did it very quickly. They put it in after the VA called them and they made the deal. They called me and told me that they were gonna come down and look at the situation. Then, they measured everything up and told me that it may take two weeks or two months before approval but they were sure that it will be approved.
A little over two weeks, the rep asked me if I would be home on Thursday and Friday as their installers would be here to put in one flight the first day and the other flight the second. He was very nice, knowledgeable and he knew what he was doing. They had the first chairlift in the first day and the second day, they had the second one. Then two weeks later, the state inspector came down with a fellow and the inspector looked at it all over and he gave its approval. It was wonderful. The chairlift works like a charm. Bruno did very well and I’m very pleased.

My wife is disabled with bad knees and she can’t get up and down the stairs. I bought her a stairlift, so she could move. The company that I bought it from is only about 6 miles from my house, so I had the opportunity to go down, meet the people, and see one of their units work. Right there, I tried out the Bruno stairlift and I liked that it was made in the United States. I was so excited to be able to find a company that was close to my house that would do the work right away because I had to get my wife out of a rehab post within a certain amount of time and they managed to get it done before she had to get out.
The installation team came here and were very knowledgeable, very friendly, very courteous, and very nice. It was also very neat that they did the work very quickly. I had everything ready for them. They were here for two hours and they told me it was the fastest installation they ever made. All that was left was the power and I told them exactly how to do it. The stairlift fits in perfect to the stairwell and I was happy with the installation. They tried it a couple times then I went on it a couple times and it worked. I had to show my wife because she had to get used to it and it took two weeks for her to operate it properly.
Bruno's reps told me that they could get a contract for the insurance side of things, but I didn’t ask about how they'd get it fixed or the cost of it. I assumed that it would be taken care of by itself. I have two chairs and a day or two after I had installed a lower chair, it stopped working. It would start, then it would stop, then it would start again. One of the things they discussed with me was that they had a lifetime warranty on the thing but when I filed a complaint, they said that it would start with $39.99 for them to come out to the house.
When I asked how come they charged me that even though I have a warranty, their rep said that the company found out that they got a lot of minor complaints that really weren't true or were errors and they ended up sending people out. So they decided to put a small charge to discourage people from doing that on minor problems. I didn’t like that idea and it gave me a bad taste in my mouth, but I was still happy about the fact that they gave me the service. Also, Bruno doesn't charge that $39.99 for the first year you have the stairlift, but if I had to pay $39.99 every time they come out for stuff like this, I’d be very upset.
I waited a little while and the stairlift worked again, so I let it go for a day thinking I didn’t wanna become one of the old people that complained about those minor problems. Finally, it stopped for good and wouldn't work at all. I called and their rep said that there is a limit switch on the chair. Anytime it's on, the staircase stops and sometimes, it could jiggle the the stairlift operates and stops. That made sense to me. He told me to go out and jiggle the part. So, I went out and jiggled everything, but the stairlift would not start. It was Saturday and he said that they could have somebody here on Monday. But I told him that it was a medical problem as my wife couldn't go up and down stairs without the stairlift. He said that he’d have one of his men from the technical department call me that night but there was no call.
Sunday morning came up and when we were downstairs, the stairlift was working again. But not for long, though. So, I had to wait until Monday morning before somebody showed up. I thought that if it was treated as a medical problem they were gonna get here as soon as possible, but they don’t get any servicemen out if it’s out of hours. Meanwhile, my wife had to go up and down twice, which was painful. She went up by herself and I had to help her to get down the stairs.
Monday morning came along and in came the repairman. He was a very nice gentleman, very neat, and seemed very capable. I started complaining about things that don’t work and I asked what I was gonna do with this thing. He told me not to worry and that he was gonna overhaul the chair. He was here for a couple of hours. He took the chair apart and looked at every piece and switch. He then adjusted the switches so that they wouldn’t need much of a throw before they operated. I sat down in the living room just watching him work. I was pretty familiar with electronics and I asked if there is a circuit board in one of the chairs. He said that there is and asked me if I thought that it might be a circuit board problem. I told him that from my experience in electronic switches in my telephone company, it's the first place I would look for. I would change the circuit board and hope for the best.
Eventually, he got the stairlift to work. He did a good job and he was right that one of the switches must have been right on the edge. However, 15 minutes later, I pushed the button and the chair did not work again. The taste in my mouth was getting worse. I knew there was no way the repairman could come back to my house the same day on Monday. I called the office and they said that they'd get him here the next day, Tuesday. He came in here Tuesday, went to the chair, and took all the things off.
He said that he was gonna jump out all the switches and that those switches were no longer used. But after he did that, the stairlift still didn’t work. He had to call an expert in the warehouse and they discussed it. The guy in the warehouse told him that it was the circuit board but the repairman thought that he already changed the circuit board. Fortunately, he had one on the truck. He went outside, took the circuit board, put it in there, and it worked like a charm. The stairlift hasn’t stopped working since.
While he was here, I told the repairman that the upper chair is supposed to slow down when it stops, which is an excellent idea. However, it's not slowing down and it goes speeding. He said that they do that sometimes. He tried it a couple times and he said that it was working all right. I told him not to worry about it. Even though it doesn’t slow down, it still goes and that’s the important part. Somehow, the bottom chair was working fine, although I was not really happy. In a little while and some more days later, I got in the top chair. While it was in the bottom position and I hit the button to go up, it moved so slowly. It went for about five seconds, then it went up in speed. If it’s up to the top, it works properly up there, but while not on the top, it goes slowly then goes to speed. It was doing it almost every single shot. Then, it stopped and I wondered if it was gonna stop on me like the other one did.
The back of that rail has copper bus bars, so I went upstairs and got a nice and clean undershirt. I came down and I cleaned the bus bars with the clean rag. I wiped down at the end where that one bar is that goes the slower speed, and I had no trouble for days. The question in my mind was when I get in that chair, I really don’t know if it’s gonna stop working, but I was afraid to call the office. Right now, I’m sitting with this thing and every once in a while, it does the same thing. I go up, get my rag, clean the thing there, and it works for a couple of days then it goes again. Somewhere in those chairs, there’s some sort of a brush, either a spring brush or cotton brush, that rubs against those copper bus bars and somehow, they should have been adjusted with more tension on, so they would hit properly.
Also, as that chair goes up, it makes a squeaking sound, which I don’t really care about. I’m happy it works, but I can’t really say, in reliability, that that chair up there is not gonna stop. I also can’t even guarantee that it’ll stop on a Saturday or Sunday or late at night time and I’m gonna be out of luck. I really don't know what to do.
Other than that, this Bruno stairlift is a lifesaver and that’s the important thing to me. I don’t care if it goes slow. They have that slow speed because if it was going up and came to a stop while it was going fast, it would kill elderly people. I would tell anybody about my experience and tell them about the good parts like the installation and how the stairlift works. For the first year now, I’m hoping they can get my problems solved. Maybe they can bypass my thing then call the people down, which would be very nice, and tell them that I am not happy with the way it’s operating now. I also found out that they lease the units and that I can buy a leased unit which is cheaper. So, I was thinking if one of these chairs or both of these chairs are leased units. But it looked like they were brand new and I didn’t see any scuff marks or air marks on them.

So, we got a new one and have had it close to a month now. So far, I like it although I have to keep trying different positions and I have trouble with my feet on the footpad. I will be glad when I get so accustomed to it that it’s like I don’t even have to think about it and it just goes on automatic pilot. My husband is very fond of the smooth slowdown at the end of the runs, too. I’ve finally figured out that crossing my ankles with the left foot on the black pad is the only thing that seems to work for me every time.
We dealt with a business called MITS and they serviced our old stairlift several times before we got the new one. The MITS people were great service people when we had trouble. Their sales reps were very good at explaining things and Bruno has a very nice showroom where we saw the various ways to install it. We tried the indoor stairlift type, but we originally thought we were gonna get a curved one. We spent a lot of time going over it with their sales rep and he showed us to get a straight system. A week after we got it, it was installed and the installation was extremely impressive. It was very orderly, neat and much faster than I would have imagined. I called various vendors and received some flyers and brochures. At that time, Bruno advertised that they had a record for exterior stairlifts and with information that it operated even below zero which is what it gets here in the winter. So I called Soper’s, the agency that housed Bruno's product, and I talked with Tim. I asked him if he had installed any exterior stairlifts and he said he had. We went ahead with the project with Tim a year ago in August. We purchased an exterior that was specially made because of the length of the covered walkway. We’re up about 35 feet from the street that we live on. My wife is a semi-invalid and needed to get down those stairs so that was specially ordered for her. It was the first Bruno product that we had. It was absolutely marvelous and that has worked beautifully for the entire year.
We have a two-story home and several months ago, I called and said I wanted to arrange to have an interior stairlift. Tim installed it. Tim is about the best ambassador they could have for their product in addition to the fact that he was meticulous when he installs. He was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. He didn't make a mess nor break anything and he wore booties. My wife has an autoimmune disease and street shoes are verboten in our family.
Bruno is a superior product in terms of its engineering, manufacturing, and quality. My wife just absolutely loves it and it helps her very much. What I like about our interior stairlift but not available on the exterior is that you can stop anywhere along the way like if you want to get it out of the way because you were moving things. It has a strip that permits it to continue to be charged. The only inconvenience was that I don’t like leaving the stairlift down at the bottom as that’s actually on the side of the road but it couldn't be helped. I generally bring it all the way up to the top with the remote so it's not a big deal.

We ended up with Bruno whom we had very good experience with. We already had a stairlift here and they wanted to extend it and bring it around a little bit more for me. So they took our old stairlift down and put the other one right up. After installation, they cleaned up their mess and took all the other garbage out. They showed us how to use the stairlift and talked to my husband a little bit about it. They were very good. I get on the stairlift myself when my legs are weak. It turns and takes me all the way up to the top and turns around to the beginning, and it’s much easier for us to help my husband in the chair that way.

I have osteoporosis and COPD, and my daughter wanted me to move because she wanted me on one floor. I’ve been here for 21 years and I didn’t wanna move because I have 14 steps and they're very steep. The state brought the straight Bruno stairlift and put it in, and the reps were wonderful. The fit of the stairlift in the stairwell is great, too. The installer was in and out in no time and there was no debris left. The quality of the stairlift is great and I’m very pleased.

The reps and installers were great. The only problem I had was it took a little bit longer to install it than I thought it was going to. Nevertheless, it works.

One of our daughters was in a terrible car accident and to get her into the house and upstairs, a stairlift was the only thing we could come up with. We went to the local distributor and they suggested Bruno. Dealing with the rep was concise and to the point and the installers worked very efficiently and got it in in a minimal amount of time. We got one stairlift to get up the front steps and into the house, then one to get up to the first landing and another one to finally go upstairs. The stairlifts were very pricey and the cost was much more than I had expected but we needed it, so it worked.

I have a Bruno scooter for my son too.

I am a senior and I live by myself and the stairlift has been fantastic. It works great and I really enjoy it. Before deciding, I went to three different people and I liked the guarantees, the quality and the service that Bruno gave me. In fact, even if I should need repairs, which I doubt, the amount of money for it is very reasonable compared to the others. One of the three even had a price of $11,000 which was almost practically double of what I had to pay. Although I felt that I could go up the stairs another year before I needed the stairlift installed, I figured I would do it and save myself for the year. And I’m happy that I chose to do it earlier.
The fellow who came to the house to talk to me about the stairlift was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. He had the information right in his fingertips and he answered every question. He was very good. The installation was great too. There are seven steps in my staircase then a platform and you turn around then there are seven more. But I didn’t go with the curved stairlift because I’m still able to get around well and the curved one would be useless. For me, the two straight pieces work out perfectly.
I was concerned about somebody tripping on the bottom piece if I have my family for holidays. But the guy installed for me a lift that completely clears the stairway so that no one would trip on it. It cost extra but all they do is run the chair up a little bit and then they pick up the bar. The bar picks up for me and I’m really pleased with that. The only thing that I don't like is when the bar lifts, there's like a back up alarm on a truck. It would go "bing bing bing" for a couple of minutes and when I asked the installer about it, he said it's a safety thing and that he could not stop it. But if the bar is not in use, it’s no problem. I don’t use it very often anyway but when someone else comes, I do get it out of the way. Overall, I’m very happy with the unit that I have. It’s fantastic and I love it.

I called a lot of the local people in my area and they recommended Bruno so we went with it. The sales call was good and so was the installation. Everything was perfect. The straight stairlift as it goes from the basement to the kitchen, like bottom level up. It’s compact and doesn't take up any space. My kids want to ride on it, but my girlfriend’s mom is the only one who needs it and so I don’t feel like it's in the way. She comes over once a week and even with that, there's a lot more time that it's not being used. It’s expensive but it has a very high quality. It works well and everything is great.

My husband had a really bad fall in March. He had a fractured vertebra in his back and needed a stairlift. We got a Bruno unit through Columbia, which was the same company that did the stair glide and something in our bathroom. It was ordered by the VA because my husband is a veteran. Columbia was very personable and kind. They came out and did all the measuring. And I was so thankful that we qualified because you have to have a certain angle height on your stairs to be able to qualify for the stairlift. We would never have been able to afford it without the VA ordering the stairlift for him.
We had a good experience with Columbia and the people at the VA. Things went smoothly as ice. The installation team was great too. Some of those who came worked on my bathroom so I already knew them, which was nice. They were cooperative, friendly and very efficient to work outside. They got the job done and cleaned up everything. They were about business and then, they were gone.
The stairlift that we got is a straight, indoor unit. It has made such a difference and has worked fantastically for us. I use it too because I have bad sciatica and fibromyalgia. My husband and I get up and down very easily with it. It goes from the ground floor all the way own to the basement where the bathroom and the laundry area are. When going down, the arm comes down and lands on the landing. Then, the arms come up and we put the seat and the foot rail up and we could walk right around it with no problem to go to the other area of the basement.
It's awesome that a company like Bruno makes a variety of the stair glide that would fit so many different situations for elderly, handicap, and veterans. The engineers there must be top rate. They're doing a really good job to fit what's needed for the situation. Overall, we're very pleased with the stairlift. We would have a lot of problems without it. It's been a blessing to us.

The guy who installed the stairlift was very professional and courteous as well and he made sure that we were completely comfortable with it before he left. The unit we have is a straight unit and there's plenty of room for able-bodied people to get up and down. The unit is great, too. It is very well put together and it meets our needs. However, we have a very narrow staircase, so I could improve things by taking out part of the wall. It's an older house and it's the best thing to do but I know it was put in very quickly and it works good. The installation crew was very good. They were here and gone in about an hour. He was very clean and he did a super job. Even though I've had one all the time because I had one for my husband years ago, he demonstrated everything and he was never in a rush.
I have 16 stairs straight up and the stairlift fits perfect. It's closer to the wall than my other was. It's also quiet and faster. Also, I got the optional thing where the bottom of the rail goes up and gets out of the way. It's very convenient for me and I love it. I got a quad-level house, so I had three stairlifts installed and they’re great. It's been okay and Bruno did a good job but the remote stops working halfway up. Something might be a little off on the setting and I’m gonna give them a call and they can figure it out before I have them ship it back. Other than that, I love the stairlifts. The installation was excellent and the installers got all three of them in the same day. They also took the extra time to try to change the frequency of the remote so that all three of them would not be going up when I’m only riding one. They did an excellent job and I would recommend it.
The manager, James, gave us a discount on his end so that made it within our budget. It was $14,666 and he worked with us. I gained weight because I’ve got two bad knees and Bruno’s first model was only up to 300 and I was about 45 pounds up that. Hopefully, I won’t gain any more weight so I went with the top model and we like the way it handles. My family can get around it fine. We have narrow 36-inch stairs, so it is a nice design that folds up well. My husband is a perfectionist and he’s a welder by trade so he looks over all equipment. He liked Bruno’s chairs and he thought it was high quality. The smoothness of the ride is great. I haven’t really used the safety features of the seatbelt but I like the way the arms fold down. They fit snug enough that I don’t feel it's necessary. I'm just supposed to avoid climbing stairs since I have no cartilage in two knees which was the reason why we went with them.
Also, my house payment is only $350 in a nice neighborhood so we decided to keep the house and install a stairlift. I don’t have to worry about my grandkids because it's low enough. I have a six-year-old grandson I'm raising, and I told him that this is not a toy. He decided they move too slow, so it doesn’t interest him which is great.

I needed one for my wife and myself to get up and down the stairs, so I started looking for something better and Bruno came up as one of the best ones on the market. The day I called to inquire, I was able to get a salesman out to the house that afternoon. He sat with me for a good two hours and we talked about the stairlifts, what they're capable of doing and how they're made. I was very impressed with not only him but the product itself, so we decided to go ahead and pursue it.
The stairlift is a straight one in the house and it's great. It takes up less space than the previous one I had and it's got a better look to the whole operation. The installation guy was here for an hour and a half and he had it installed and running. I was impressed with the way it went in and his knowledge of it. He also made sure before he left that I knew knew everything about it so that I didn't have any questions. The only thing with Bruno itself is it would have made my life a little easier if when I started to look, I had the name Bruno in mind and looked it up that way. But I had to look up stairlifts and find the Bruno name as I had never heard of them. But we both love the stairlift. It's unbelievable how quiet it is, and it's also very smooth.

My wife was having trouble breathing and she would get partway up the stairs, stop, rest and then go a bit further. We didn’t wanna move out so we got a stairlift. Aside from Bruno, I called a couple of other companies and one never even called back. The other one had a salesperson that came out and didn’t seem to know about it. They were cheaper by $500 but if they didn’t know their product well enough, I'm not even interested. I called Bruno and I got immediate action. Also, I wanted to get the stairlift that would lift off at the bottom and they had that. The two salespeople who came were very good and we talked about where we were gonna run the wires and how they were gonna do it. The stairlift is straight but it has that mechanism where you can lift up the bottom two feet. It sits at the very bottom on the lower level floor in order to wash that floor or clean it because it's tile down at that area and you have to be able to clean it at times.
We have 14 steps and they are a little bit wider than normal. The flat part is 14 inches and then the riser is seven inches so it's a little bit touchier to get things lined up but they did it fine. One of the steps must have been a little bit out and when my wife would bring up groceries or something like that on her lap, and she put a little bit more weight on the footrest, it would touch one of the steps. As soon as it touches something, it stops. So we called and told them. They came out and raised it an inch. There has been no problems since so they were very good.
The stairlift seems a wee bit slow, but that’s probably better than fast. We live on an acreage and we have a garden that she just loves going to. Before, she can go down the stairs but can't get back up and now, she's able to go and visit the garden or the yard or do things because on the level, she seems to be okay. She uses a walker because it's safer and a little bit more stable because our ground is a bit rough on the acreage but she loves the stairlift because it solved her problem of going up and down.

And then Bruno came out and measured. Then they came out and put the two straight stair lifts in. The installers were great. My husband was there and they were very respectful of him.
Also, the quality of the ride of the stair lift is good. So we did the one where the bottom part comes up to open up the foyer. That is really noisy when that section of it goes down or comes back up but it's not a big deal. We were getting to the point that my husband was gonna have to go to a long-term care because he just couldn't do the stairs but now with the stair lift, we are able to keep him home for at least a while longer. Then I was given a piece of paper that I made out and sent out for the warranty. They took pictures with no names or address and put it on the internet because they don't do a lot of the outdoor model and we're one of the few who has it. A good part was that our stairs and railings were very stable. None of that had to be changed out.
My husband is a big man and it was very, very difficult to get him in and out of the house. I was always afraid of him falling on top of me. He would probably break my neck. My family is so happy now because I always had to get help or I couldn't get him out. We couldn't go to family affairs because I couldn't get him out down the stairs. It was really bad and at some point he was in for three months.
The lift made it much easier to get him to doctor's visits and just to get him out. It's also very simple to use. My husband has some brain injury but he quickly learned where the button was which was a good thing. He pushes the button himself and I lock him in. I put the safety belt around him and I have the remote too, which helps me. If he lets go of that during the process of going down, I can push the button on the remote. However, they had trouble when the fold-up piece comes down to the bottom. It catches every now and then there. But other than that, I could take it back up with the remote control and then come back down. When I get on it, it goes up. She loves the stairlift. It’s perfect.

My husband has Parkinson’s. We just moved here and a friend said that they had Bruno. She had been using it for years now and she said that it was a really good brand, so I trusted her. The sales reps were really good. The stairlift cost $4000 which is a lot of money, but it is a very nice stairlift and it’s very good quality. We were able to get our doctor to send something in so we could get a discount, and we should be getting some money back which is nice.
We got a straight stairlift and so far, it’s okay. The installer, Shane, was great. I rode the stairlift myself to see how it would feel to my husband, and it was good. We have the one that lifts up at the bottom, and the arm can lift up and the people can pass through. However, when it gets to the top, you have to make it go towards the landing because it will keep beeping unless you turn it back. It would be nice if it could just stay that way for safety. Other than that, Bruno was really nice, thorough, and caring about how the stairlift was gonna work and what it was gonna look like. I would recommend anybody to take a look at it.

The stairlift from Bruno is an awesome machine. We love it. I moved my parents in with me. My mom is 90 and my dad is 89. I ran out and researched Bruno and liked all the features they have. The gentleman who came to the house for a sales visit was open, friendly, and not pushy. He worked with us, did the measurement, and did everything that needs to be done. He also gave us a great estimate. I go by gut feeling and he just felt like he was honest and true and upfront, and he was. The installation team was excellent too. They had everything cut and done ahead of time. And when they came in, all they had to do was install it. We had already moved my mom and dad in, so they didn’t have any way up and down the steps. But they got it in so quickly, so it’s wonderful.
So far, the straight stairlift was convenient for my parents. They get in that chairlift and they’re grinning the whole way up the steps. Bruno called back a couple of times. And if we needed them, they would have come back out. We also got a beautiful “Thank You” card in the mail from them. In closing, Bruno made it so much easier to move my parents in with me and have the security of knowing that they’re in the house here and safe and can come up and down the steps. It’s a wonderful feeling.

I already have a stairlift at the front but then my condition worsened and I needed another one to get out back. I selected Bruno for that because I already had a good experience with them previously. My unit outside is perfectly adequate for my needs. Also, I weigh 400 pounds and they are the only outfit that makes heavy-duty stairlifts. The unit I got is an indoor straight stairlift. It's a remanufactured unit, and it looks brand new to me. It's very solidly built, which I appreciate. Also, it only cost me $3,500, which I was happy with. The sales rep I dealt with seemed very knowledgeable. He was right on, confident, and accurate. He also gave me some tips on future needs. I don’t know if I’ll be able to use them but that was interesting and possibly helpful.
The installer was great as well. He kept me informed in every stage of the installation. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he put it in. He showed me exactly how it was going together and how it was made. And he couldn’t say enough good about Bruno. He said, “This thing was designed to be installed.” He also said that it was the easiest, most straightforward one to install in his experience.

There was one guy from Bruno Independent Living Aids that came and said how the stairlift is set up. We’re getting help with Medicaid, we have Medicare and it’s movable. But, there are certain parts to it that makes it difficult. It’s not like the one I have for my mom where you just sit on and you tuck yourself in to go up. It’s difficult for somebody who’s 84 like me.
Bruno drilled holes on the floor and put all of sections down and then they had the chair that goes up and down and there’s one part that’s missing. The guys spent a long time nailing it down and cutting the part. And one of the guys who was cutting was busy for hours cutting parts and then nailing everything in and down on the steps. He was all right. But, I don’t feel comfortable enough and I’m supposed to have somebody come over and help us in putting this one thing that need to be put in and make sure it’s okay. I’m disappointed because the installer went off and left that the first night and we were worried about the stairlift just sitting around.
I was glad to know that we would have a way up and down, but we haven’t done that. I’m creeping around it and it’s hard for me to get upstairs. I am 84 and I am active and always trying to clean. I have to do laundry upstairs and bring a lot of clothes down. But I wish we had another kind. I could have afforded one that goes straight up, and I don’t have to have somebody. This was really hard for the guy doing all that. And now, it’s hard for us to get up and down. It’s so different.
Thanks for taking our call to get more clarity on your situation. Our stairlifts are one-button simplicity - just sit and press the armchair control to gently glide the stair lift up or down the rail. However, we are having your local dealer come out to again explain the operation with you so you feel completely confident. Thank you again for your feedback.

My husband is 88 and I'm 83. And we decided to buy a stairlift from Bruno for both of us. Their reps came out for a sales visit and it was excellent. We got the straight stairflift which is an outdoor one. When it was put in, the installer told me that it might be a little bit too close to the railing and it might wear off that cover that’s on it. But it doesn’t really rub that cover and it can probably be purchased again if it tears. Plus, we only use the stairlift in the summertime. I use it for my knee when I'm taking things up the steps and it's good quality. I'd recommend it to somebody. Now that it's fall, I'm wondering if Bruno would come out and take it off for us like we were told because we're gone in winter and there's no heat in this house.

The people there were very courteous. Likewise, the installers were very nice. They did their job and cleaned everything up. They taught both my husband and me how to use all the different features of the stairlift. My husband uses it every day to go up and down with and it is good for him. He is able to use the steps now and I don’t have to worry about him falling. Also, I’m able to put it on the down-step so I can use the steps without having it stuck in my gut to go down the steps. I'll turn 81 on August 6th and I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis. I also have Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and high blood. I wasn’t able to carry my laundry and stuff up and down the steps and my doctor recommended the stairlift for me. Three companies came out and they were all very courteous. But the VA chose to go with Bruno. I got a straight stairlift from them and I'm so pleased with its quality. There was a part for the basement which had something to do with the stair being put in a different position as opposed to the lowest one, like for the opening in the door, and Bruno's reps came back for it just as they promised.
Since I got the stairlift, my laundry’s caught up and I've discovered an energy I didn’t know I had. I'm doing laundry now! I even have the energy to clean up the laundry room while I'm down there, when before I couldn’t even go up and down. Also, I have a door that opens up into the other room and I like the fact that if I want to have the unit moved in a stationary place on the stairs as opposed to down in front of the stairs, I have the choice to leave it up or down. If my grandkids are here, it's nice to have it up, so they can go in and out of that opening into the other room.

The gentlemen from Bruno that showed up to our house were very friendly, very personable, and explained everything to us. They told us how long it would take to install the stairlift and how long it would take to order it. They were very knowledgeable about the product and helped with any questions that we had on it. The installation went very well, too. The installers were in and out within the time that they told us and they cleaned up after themselves. They were very friendly and told us if we had any questions, we should give them a call. They left us their card along with the instructions and the booklet for the actual chairlift.
We got the straight stairlift and with it, I don’t have to have help to get up from the first floor to the second floor. The quality is very nice and I haven’t had any problems with it. It seems very sturdy and very balanced for what we need it for. It has also made it a little easier on my family because they’re not having to put me upstairs. I can get to the lift by myself and operate it myself. I don’t need to impede anybody else to get there. I’d recommend it to somebody who needs it. My partner's 86 and had fallen a couple of times from that steps. There are only five steps though, so it was imperative that we get something. A lot of people in the area had bought Acorn but I read an article that gave Bruno a higher ranking. I worked with James in Federal Way and I was able to get information from him when I needed it. I sent him a couple of photos and measurements of the stairs then he gave me a quote which I accepted. We did it all by email. He was easy to deal with and the office staff was just as easy to talk with. I called to get information about perhaps installing a second electrical outlet at the top of the stairs and they told me how far away it would need to be from the top of the stairs. That was really helpful.
It was quite a long wait before the stairlift could be installed. But they called the guy from Illinois and they got the permit approved. When the technicians came, they did their work and everything went fine. The stairwell’s narrow to begin with so it’s a bit of a squeeze if you aren’t using the stairlift. But it’s within codes. The technicians also gave me an overview and showed me how to operate the stairlift and what we needed to do. We're satisfied with the stairlift but the maintenance cost is so expensive. A three-year contract would be about $76 a month for two inspections and two service calls. I didn’t know that and I should have compared that with Acorn’s before I moved ahead. I would recommend Bruno but I would warn people about the maintenance cost.

I already had a stairlift and I was purchasing another one to replace it. I had done business before with the people that were installing stairlifts for Bruno Independent Living Aids, so I went with Bruno. The installation of the stairlift was fine, except that the installers left an indent on the carpeting where the old stairlift used to be and they told me it would go away by itself in a while, but it's still showing a few months after the stairlift was installed. Also, I don’t like that Bruno doesn’t have holders to hold the remote on the wall.
Another thing is that I’m not happy because I was told that I’d be able to get up to 75% coverage, but I couldn’t talk to the person that I had dealt with before and then I insisted on talking with the supervisor. But the supervisor didn’t want to send me the paperwork. When I got the paperwork, I had to apply, then I had to appeal repeatedly, and then I had to threaten them, and that’s no way to get covered. My husband and I just absolutely love the chair. It fits our narrow stairway and he puts the mesh laundry bag on it and sends some stuff upstairs. My legs hurt and I had knee surgery so we decided to get a stairlift. We wanted to deal with a local company but not every little county has one. We had seen that Acorn thing advertised on TV all the time and it might be the finest product you’ve ever seen but they would probably come from 200 miles from here. We worked with the drugstore P & R and they were about 40 miles away. The funny thing was when we talked to the guy on the phone and told him where we live, he said that his folks used to live in this area. And we laughed. It turned out that we knew them.
The Bruno rep came out and exactly six days later, we were using the stairlift. It went that quick. The installers were fine and dandy too. We got one stairlift going down the basement and one going upstairs. We got the one with the end that folds up. The stairway is 4-foot wide so it’s wide enough but when you come down, there’s a wall ahead of you then a 4-foot passage. You know the stairlift is there and you automatically step around it. But if we have company, I run the chair up a little bit and fold that thing out of the way.
I used to hesitate going down the basement to check the sump pump due to the work in climbing down and back up the steps. And if you forget a couple of little screws, you’d have to climb those steps again. But now, I just sit on the thing, go down and come back up. This morning, I brought the laundry down and got a new vacuum sweeper for upstairs, and it was quite simple. I laid it across my lap and ran the stairlift up. I figured the stairlift adds 10 years to my life and there are two of them so that’s 20 years.
A couple of weeks ago, someone from P & R came and adjusted something because some of the pieces that fold down on the stairlift weren’t what they used to be. I met the guy and the thing was that they fix scooters too and I needed a new battery. He then got me a new battery and I thought it was just enormous the way he treated me on that. I also said something about my key being gone and the guy said that they didn’t stock that. It had to be ordered and then he asked if I wanted them to order it. Then he took his phone, took a picture of the serial number and made it damn sure. He said it might take a month because the shipping was gonna cost more than the key so if they get another package with that company, they would tape it on the outside of the box and the shipping would be free. It was just enormous the way he bent over backward.

And then, if sometimes I get extreme cramping and crippling in my legs, I have to go get a shot and it's hell. I'm crying like a baby. The VA decided to go with Bruno as it is the cheapest option.
The sales guys of Bruno were decent. They were pleasant too and they talked to me very well. They answered all my questions and they did exactly what they said they were gonna do the way they gave me 'cause we discussed which side to put it on, where it would look better cause I didn't want it to look ugly. We discussed the options and we came to a decision together. So I also had a bit of input in the design. The installation team was nice and they did a good job installing the curved stairlift. Although I would have preferred the elevated, the government wouldn't pay for that. And while I'm happy that I got it, I'm just a little concerned about the grinding sound that I'm hearing especially when you're coming down on it and it comes down very slowly.
Also, the reps didn't tell me about the codes on the machine on the main compartment where the motor is. There was a code that came up and when I asked them about that, they said I didn't need to worry about it. But I need to know these things so if something happens, I can say what's going on. Also, they didn't leave me enough follow-up materials and I like to have things in my hand to read, to know exactly where I stand. They did give me their number to the company to call on a sheet of paper about the warranty but that was all I got. But so far, I like the seat and the ease of operation of the stairlift. I also like that I don't have to crawl on my hands and knees to get in my bed and have all my family helping me up like an invalid. All in all, Bruno did a good job, but there's always room for improvement in most things.

I have aged parents living in a two-level house. So I purchased a stairlift for the needs and safety of my parents going up and down the stairs. I checked out four stairlift providers and the reviews on Bruno were very good and their cost was in line with the industry standards. So we had someone come out who told us about Bruno's products, their warranties, and their service. We asked for an estimate and they provided us a price with options and we agreed to that. There was a little bit of misunderstanding going back and forth as far as whether the company can finance it or whether we had to get a loan financing, but we worked it out. And otherwise, the customer service was excellent.
We got a curved stairlift installed, and the installers were very quick and efficient. They did everything in one day and it was up and running. And the use of the chair and the looks of it goes perfectly with the coloring in our room, so it’s a high-quality one. And when I did a service call, Bruno was able to schedule it and come out and fix it right away. The stairlift has a major impact on our lives. I wouldn’t have been able to buy the house that I bought if it wasn’t for consideration of installing the stairlift. I would have had to have looked for a single-level home and to sustain a multi-generational family, it’s kind of hard to find reasonably cost one-level with enough separation to where you’re not right next door to each other. So, the stairlift provided a solution to our family.
Bruno's cost is reasonable. If it’s a single-directional, one-level stairlift, it would be a lot less expensive, but when you have turns in it, it’s going to be customized to fit your stairs. And I’ve done my research on the cost of these things and there are several out there on the market. I checked some blogs and it was hands-down that I would go with Bruno. And I would highly recommend them for anybody else looking to install a stairlift.

But that wasn’t the fellow's fault and we were glad to have had it done. It gives us a great deal of mobility. My wife got severe ataxia. She couldn’t climb the stairs to our car and we’re on a hillside so she was stuck in our house. The stairlift allows her to get up to the car which is a great advantage. Now, my wife and I get out a lot more because we can utilize our car. We can go places and do things. We can drive her around the territory and go shopping. And so far, the stairlift has been dependable. It always works and it’s an attractive-looking item.

Neither one of them in the household couldn’t climb the stairs, they both have MS and my daughter was sliding up and down the stairs so they bump. And then, I finally talked her into a stairlift. I have Acorn and it works but it hasn’t been serviced good even though I paid for the five-year service agreement so we ordered it from Bruno which was also a little bit cheaper. We went to their location and we were there every day. For days and days, we had scooters and all kinds of stuff so that was good interaction.
The stairlift is well used and the cost was excellent against its quality. It’s a good product but my daughter is 5 foot nothing and she has trouble getting on the chair because it’s too high and it can’t be lowered anymore. We understand but they need to make it so it goes lower. Also, they only got a button on one armrest. They need to put one on the other armrest as well because some days, that hand for her doesn’t work. I know it’s gonna add to the cost to do that but as far as her experience that I’ve seen, she could use the button on the other arm as well.
My daughter was the first one to get one in our town so it’s a new thing for Bruno and the reps have been very helpful keeping it running. The installation team was having trouble with it for a while. It started to beep for no reason and they came out. They even had to replace some parts and pieces. But it all worked out and things are running smoothly now.

My mother-in-law passed away recently so I had my father-in-law moved in with us. He is getting up in age and his ankles don’t work really well. He’s staying in a little apartment we have in the basement and I told him we were putting a stairlift in for him. We did some shopping around and Bruno was made in the USA and it was local. The dealer was only 45 minutes from where we live. The local provider put it in within a week and they had a really nice personnel that we talked with. He answered certain questions about them and he told me what the stairlift was. We had the straight stairlift from them and we didn’t even need the little lift tail underneath it. We just had it stop at the bottom of the stairs which works out good.
However, I couldn’t understand why the curved stairlift has to be drastically increased in price. I understand that they gotta have that matched just right and the little piece of the track had to be curved. But they go from a little over $3,000 to $12,000 to put a curved stairlift. I thought that was a little extreme. I had a little cut-out tool that will work on the hardened track and it didn’t look it would be six times more expensive than what this one could have. And I understand it has a lot more intricate parts on it, but I was just a little disappointed that it cost that much because we have one step at the bottom. We could have turned and curved and come down on it. But I was gonna do that for $11,000, and I wasn’t gonna do that when I can put one in for $3,500.
The stairlift fits in really nicely with the stairwell. I would have liked it if it had backed just a little bit closer to the wall, but we have the railing on there also. It was below the railing and it’s close to the wall. It couldn’t have gone much more. I just didn’t want it wound a little bit tighter. We got nice, wide steps, so it’s not really bothering. One thing that I would like to see is some kind of a brace that would go over to the wall. I’m about 260 pounds and it must have flexed ahead just a little bit and my knees are getting worse so I’ve tried it a couple of times. If we had that railing where the craft would be hooked to the wall and to the step, that’d keep it from flexing out on us.
The installers were so professional. They had the stairlift put in about 45 minutes. My father-in-law had been riding the stairlift the most and he really likes it. At this point, he’s been using it every time he comes up and goes down. The stairlift has only been here for about two weeks, but it’s working really fine. It’s made my father-in-law's life so much nicer because he’s still in a transition a little bit. He’s coming up and having suppers and meals with us, and it’s working out really great to see. We can go there and visit him, too. I’d recommend Bruno and the stairlift is really quick to install, and the warranty is nice on it. Everything looks really good.

My wife has problems walking and she can’t make the stairs. I have a house that has two sets of stairs that goes from the base that goes to the foyer to leave the house and one that goes to the bedroom. It was comfortable going to the store that sold Bruno and they’ve always been reliable. I went in there, told them what I wanted then I paid it all in cash. I purchased two straight stairlifts for my two sets of stairs. Both are nice. They are a little tight, but they are comfortable. They are steady and they move at a good and safe pace. These stairlifts have helped both of us getting up and down much easier. The installation went very fast, which surprised me. It is less stressful and it is very convenient with Bruno.

Our old Bruno stairlift wore out. We had one since 2001 and it was about shot. A man was here to fix the old one and he said that it would take too much money to fix it. So we decided to get a new one. There are three of us in the house that can use it. Our stairway is really narrow and the man knew what we needed and the one that he chose for us is better. He came back to put the new one in and I told him that I had to be out by 2:00 and five before two, he was done and we were out of here. He knew what he was doing.
I like that the Bruno stairlift goes closer to the wall and the seat turns really nice at the top. I wish it would turn at the bottom as well, but it doesn't. It just goes down and it's straight. There wasn't enough room to put a turn at the bottom. But I like the quality of the replacement a lot. It's a wonderful change that we got a new one. It works well, we enjoy it, and it's a good asset to our house. I would tell friends to go with Bruno. They're quick when there's a repair.

Martin had a stroke and his bathroom is upstairs so he needs the stairlift. And the Bruno team came here to fix the stairlift that he had. They were nice and professional but they could not fix it. So he bought a new one. Martin called a number for customer service and the stairlift was installed by the same two guys who told him about it. The Bruno stairlift folds up so it's space-saving and convenient unlike the last stairlift he had which took up the whole stairs. So if there's someone like myself who might need to go upstairs, we can just walk up the stairs. That's probably the best feature of the stairlift. Martin's son, his soon to be daughter-in-law and the rest of his family are relieved that Martin has a working stairlift. He has already fallen down the stairs once or twice but now they don't have to worry about him falling again. The Bruno team did a good job.

We have a shower and a nice game room downstairs. It’s a very narrow stairway with a lot of narrow steps. So it was always hard to get up and down to begin with. My son-in-law put in a railing there but after I fell the first time, it was hard for me to get on my leg at all and I just couldn’t walk up and down the steps. I didn’t know if I was ever gonna get better, but we are very appreciative and happy that we are able to get the Bruno Stairlift. Also, my husband has been using a walker for years and he hasn’t been downstairs.
The fellow from Bruno that came here a couple of years ago was very nice. But he didn’t think that he could put a stairlift in since ours is an older home and we would have to have a part of our door taken out. And then we had talked to somebody who said they were making them back against the wall farther and I could get my knees down and around, which was important. The installation went very well. The fellow had a couple of guys with him and it took them an hour to put it up. But they put blocks of wood underneath the steps to hold it and they didn't clean the one little thing up on the stairway. Other than that, it's working fine.
My daughters who are around here are still working and they come over every day to see what we need, but it’s very hard for them to use the stairlift. We sent a bunch of towels down the stairlift and I showed them how that worked. And so far, I’m the only one who knows how it works. I enjoy using it and it has helped me immensely. I'm hoping that my husband will soon decide to start using it as well. And I would recommend Bruno Stairlifts.

Bruno's reps came, checked everything, gave us the information and then said that they would have to get the "okay" from the Vets. We got a straight stairlift and they had to do some renovation before they could install it. The installers did a lot of work and they were great. The stairlift is wonderful for my husband. I've been using it myself occasionally and it has been wonderful. You don't realize how great it is sometimes until you have it.

My mother-in-law had to move in with us and she couldn’t do the stairs. I talked to Bruno and they also had an option of going with an elevator if we wanted to do that which is what we did. Their guy initially came to put in an elevator but we couldn't find a reasonable solution for one. He then said the stairlift which I didn't really want, so the whole experience wasn't that positive. Still, it didn't have anything to do with with their guy and he was very reassuring with the concerns I had about it and that the stairlift would look okay.
During installation, their team was very polite. I asked them to do some things which they did for me. They also said they would defend me against the inspector if he questioned what the modification was. They could've said that they couldn't do that modification and that the inspector wouldn't like it. Still, they worked with me. The inspector approved the modification thereafter which was nice.We couldn't keep my mother-in-law at our home if we didn't have the stairlift from Bruno.

My husband had Parkinson and my dad had a heart problem so they both needed a stairlift. Now, I’m having a heart problem and it’s getting hard for me to do the steps. That's why I need the stairlift now too. But the Bruno stairlift we had had ever since early 2000s was not working anymore. Still, we had no problems with it whatsoever all those years until it died and that was why I went to Bruno again. I knew a place that handled Bruno because I had seen it from being in the store so I knew where to go, and I feel good about them. Before, we had to deal with someone down the Illinois border and it was further away. If we had any problems, we would have to call somebody from further away as well. Now, we have someone who is closer to the area and I like that.
We knew pretty much about the stairlift from having one before and we didn’t have too many questions on how it operated when they installed. But I was concerned because we just got the straight stairlift and something has gone wrong with it already. The chair was stuck and it wouldn’t go up or down. Still, the company gave us very good service. I called in the morning and they came by in the afternoon and put a part in. So we’re very happy with our service people. It was also probably just a strange coincidence that something happened to the stairlift already because we had really good luck with our first one. I use the stairlift quite a bit and I would tell others to get it too.

My hips bother me when I'm going up and down the steps. I liked the Bruno stairlift. It wasn't too expensive and it was easy to use. So, I bought a straight one. The person who came to install it knew what he was doing and it fits really good with my stairwell. My hips also bother me when I'm coming up and down the shower steps, so my husband said he'd get another stairlift. So far, I like that with our Bruno stairlifts, I don't have to walk up and down the steps. I also like that I can put the seat up and the foot comes up because it's been hard to reach down to get the foot rest. So, I like the automatic thing like that.
The stairlifts are good quality and with them, bringing stuff up from the shower has been a lot easier. This last one I got in there starts beeping every once in a while when I have it upstairs here. But when I come out, I push it halfway down, then bring it back up, and it stops. It did that three times to me already. Other than that, I'd tell my friends that our Bruno stairlifts work good and are easy to use.

My mom said that there weren't any struggle when the stairlift was installed. It was simple. We have a two-person stairwell so we have one side for the chair and the other side for walking up and down, and the straight stairlift fits well. The stairlift seems like a consistent quality product and it made it easier for my grandma to climb. I also like the safety of having it. Now, there is less of a headache and worry for her to go up.

My husband has emphysema and it was getting really difficult for him to go up and down the stairs. Our bedroom and a full bath are upstairs on the second floor. On the main floor, we have a nice half bath but it’s just a sink and a stool and there’s no place for me to put a tub. My cousin's husband was disabled before he passed away as a fairly young man and he referred me to Bruno Independent Living Aids. We rode about an hour out of Rockford, but being an hour out didn’t turn out to be a problem. We were impressed with the brochure they sent us that showed their product which represented them well.
Every employee was very congenial. There was a gentleman in the store that was one of the people that get on the phone who is in a wheelchair, so he understands about not being as mobile as he likes to be so we talked to him. There was also one rep that we did the most talk with my cousin listing and he used his phone and we took pictures of the stairway ‘cause we had some questions with it and that worked well. We got those things figured out over the phone with some good pictures in it. We have a straight open stairway and we got a straight stairlift. Then there were two people that came to install it.
Its cord goes right up around the corner and under our bedroom door and along our walls in a short distance and plugs in behind our dresser. We have a straight up landing and it ends at the bottom near a door we walk through. We’ve been really happy with the stairway and we feel that it’s good quality. It worked out well as we got to the top of the stairs and it hasn’t given us any problems at all. If a friend of mine asks me, I'd tell them that they should go with that product. We've showed it off to anyone who has stopped including family and friends. All in all, it was reasonable. Bruno was good to deal with and they did their best to make it work for us.
We might buy another Bruno product someday. There is also a full bath here in the basement, and we still have basement steps. My husband still makes two trips down there a day and I wish we could put a stairlift there. But the house is old and the basement is very narrow that kinda goes down to a little area. There's a wall then you have to turn and step down. The installers looked at it when they were here because my husband said that one of the guys measured it and said that it’s not gonna work. But we’ll ask about that again and see if they came up with something else because we’d be tempted.

The unit fits very well and I like the fact that it curves around and can assist me with getting into my bedroom. However, Bruno can do improvements on the design of the seatbelts on the lift. I think that having something where both of the buckles meet in the middle for customers would be better. For someone who needs the belt and needs to use it independently, using the current one is difficult. Still, having the lift has made it so that I can live independently in my home. We wanted a stairlift to aid mobility up and down our stairs. I wanted a high-end product, and between Bruno and Acorn, Bruno had the better product. And more importantly, the salesperson who came to me was able to better explain what he was selling. He was able to answer my questions in a direct form and I did not feel like he was just out to sell a product. He was out to meet my need, and so I felt more comfortable. He came about three times because any question I had, he was willing to come by again. And then, he was able to patiently walk with me through the process.
We got a straight indoor stairlift installed and I like its powered swivel seats. Not everybody is able to turn the chair around when you get upstairs of the stairway. So, having a powered swivel seat and by just pressing the button and the seat turns is an important feature. And to the best of my knowledge, only Bruno had that feature and Acorn does not.
We have an issue with the stairlift not looking very straight. And also, they could have done a little of a better job with the carpeting. The carpet on the stairway was not well attached and there's an obvious gap between the wall and the carpet. I've called them and they are willing to come back to do it properly but we have yet to schedule a time and a day. Other than that, our stairlift is set to our need and what we have is a high-end. And it would have been good if the cost would have been lower but it's a good product overall.

So I called Hartford and told them about my problem. I talked to Cassidy, who was in charge of helping the elderly, she took the information, and it went from there. The installer and another gentleman came and explained things to me. I then sent all the information back to Hartford and they in turn chose which one they wanted.
I waited for three weeks and finally, Jim from Home Crew, Connecticut came and he was friendly and marvelous. He told me that he has been doing the job for 27 years and he knew exactly what he has to do. He installed the straight stairlift and he never wasted one minute of time. No one would’ve known the unit was brand new until they look at the feet. He then tested the unit before he showed me how to use it. He also gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I have any problems.
The unit is serving its purpose, which is to take me from the bottom of the stairs all the way up to the top. Now I sit on the unit, press a button, and the lovely thing will go right up the 14th stair. Then I swivel it around and put my foot right on the doorframe of my door. I'm a disabled vet and my wife has a disability too. We have trouble ascending and descending the stairs. The Veterans Administration chose Bruno for me and the installation was at the bequest of the Department of Veterans Affairs. After all, I receive my medical care there. The installed stairlift is a straight one and it's crowded a bit. But it suffices. It allows enough room to go up and down the stairs.
One of my initial questions is whether or not the chairlift apparatus itself was too big or too wide. It's my first experience with such a machine. But it seems to fit at the time, and so far, we don't use the stairs for any other purpose now that we have the chair lift installed. The person who installed it was a nice young man and he did a good job. He stayed here until it was completed. Initially, there was a hold-up the following day as it wasn't functioning at all. But he came out and made the adjustment. It didn't take him longer than 10 minutes and consequently, it has worked well ever since.
While I find the chair comfortable, the only problem is it has to transfer on the way up and on the way down. It goes about halfway up and then, you have to push a button so it would reassemble itself. And then, it goes on up, and you get out. And it goes through the same process going downstairs as well. In addition, I was concerned about the fact that the chairlift bar was steel. And it wouldn't be cosmetically very appropriate for the stairway. But it seems to be out of the picture now. And it's something that you hardly notice at all. Other than that, I feel safe enough to use my stairlift and it made things possible like I was able to navigate the stairwell and my wife was as well. In fact, she was better at it than I am. All in all, as long as it works and as long as it does the job satisfactorily, Bruno is okay with me.

He's a down-to-earth guy, not highfalutin and spreading a lot of breeze. Different things came up on the about the chair and he said he was glad I asked because he was here to answer the questions. The installation went great. He had his act together and did really well. He has been doing installations for three years and he knew what he was doing. He had everything laid out. And one, two, three, he went right to work. Plus, he cleaned and swept up everything. Even in the garage where he had some filings on the floor. I said that he reminds me of my son who makes sure everything's clean before leaving when he does a job in carpentry.
My wife didn't think we needed a stairlift, but she really likes it. It's easy to operate and I enjoy the remote control. The stairlift's quality is number one. We should have gotten it years ago, but my wife was hard to convince. I had to talk to three different people that had one. At first, their mothers didn't want it, but when they had gotten it, their mothers had said nothing but praise for the stairlift. Now, I think that convinced my wife too.

I was having problems going up the stairs. My husband then got a stairlift from Bruno. The installers came, put the stairlift and showed me how to use it. They also showed me that when the stairlift stops and a little beep comes on, that's when I release the button.

I was in the hospital on and off for two months and lying in bed made my legs very weak. So I was having a lot of trouble trying to walk. And we have three stories in our house so we have a lot of stairs. I couldn't get up and down the steps as well. I was basically living on the first floor and I couldn't get upstairs to take a shower or whatever I needed to do. So we needed a chairlift. My stepson is the one who had seen David, the salesperson from Bruno, and he told us about this rep. So my husband got the phone number and gave David a call. And when he came over, we were really pleased with the information that he gave us. We had three quotes total. The first quote was over $12,000. The second quote was over $8,000. And then this last one fit into our budget perfectly. The price was excellent.
The installation team, Dave and his helper, came the same week and they were here for three or four hours. We have nine steps up and then we have a landing and then we have six more steps. So they had to go with two separate chairs. And they got everything done with no confusion and no question as to what they were doing because we could see right there. The stairlift fits into our stairwell wonderfully and the quality is very nice. I was so pleased whenever we finally got it in and I was able to even go upstairs and sleep in my own bed again which was really nice too.
I'm able to get around a lot better because of my Bruno stairlift. My husband is a maintenance man so he really liked the maintenance aspect of the stairlift. And he's dealt with Granger and some of the other companies before as well as Scott Electric who's around here. And so if we need new batteries or anything, we know where we can go and get them. Bruno is one of the best things that has happened to my life in the last year.

My mother-in-law is moving in and she needs a stairlift. I called a few stairlift companies online and nobody could give me a real information without setting an appointment. Bruno is local so I chose them. The saleslady came out, took measurements and explained the system to us. She was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The installation went well. They were on time and worked hard all day. They seemed knowledgeable, decent and friendly. I liked them. However, reliability is the main thing for me. Right now, the fact that it got stuck on the seam the first time I took it up after the technicians left, that concerned me a bit because if my mother in law gets stuck at home by herself, that's gonna be a big problem. So, we have to have them come back and have that addressed.
Overall, I don't like the straight stairlift that we had installed. It's not very attractive. I would have liked if the railing had been tan in color to blend with the house a little better. But it's a big a piece of shining aluminum going up the stairs. Nonetheless, the experience has been fine. The guys called me right away. They followed up Monday after the install to make an appointment to come back out. Hopefully, that goes well. My mother-in-law moves in in two weeks, so we are going to get some time with her in it. So far, everybody has done their job and the service has been good.

We had a great experience with Bruno. My husband has early Parkinson's. And then, he had a UTI, which went into sepsis and his whole body couldn't climb the steps. We went through VA and they offered Bruno. The weekend after the stairlift was installed, I noticed it was making a funny noise that made me a bit leery because we have 14 steps here. I didn't feel safe with my husband using it so they were back the following week to check it out for me. And they told me not to hesitate and call with any problem. They went above and beyond the call of duty. The stairlift's quality is excellent and I would not hesitate in recommending Bruno.

I live in a two-story house where my bedroom is on the second floor. I have a bad hip and I'm not a good candidate for a hip replacement because of the earlier damage to my hip over the years. So, I had extreme difficulty getting up and down the stairs. I had my Bruno stairlift installed and it was done through the VA hospital. People came to me in January to do the initial review and two companies submitted their bids. Mobility Limited ended up winning the bid and then they had to come back out in February to do final measurements where they used a computer system that produced a CAD drawing of the stairs.
There was some confusion there because, first off, when the contract got let (note: please check audio), I was not informed. I was left in the dark and after 45 days I ended up having to call VA and I asked if there was any word on the stairlift. Their main office called me back and said that they have granted it, but it was gonna take two months to manufacture because there were curves in the stairs and the stairlift was not something that simply comes straight out of the box. They have to build a particular stairlift for my set of stairs.
Then, the problem came in. There seemed to be some miscommunication between the primary officer in Pittsburg and the office here. I had received a notice that the stairlift parts would be shipped on the 9th of May to the installing organization and that I should have word by the 14th of May about an installation date. I called the local company on the morning of the 14th of May and only ended up with a secretary and leaving a message on one of the individual’s phones. That afternoon, the company from Pittsburg called me and said that somebody would be in touch with me within 24 hours to install. On the 15th I didn’t hear anything, so I called back on the 16th to see what was going on and I was put on hold again. I was getting a little upset, so I contacted the VA section that deals with this contract and I asked what was going on. They called and applied a little bit of pressure.
I've got a phone call the evening of the 16th saying that the installer had cleared their schedule and they were gonna be out in the morning of the 17th to install it, but there was no contact with me. They called me up and said that they were gonna come out the morning of the 17th to install it. I would be departing on the afternoon of the 17th and would not be back until the 22nd. I was taking off for the weekend. The gal on the phone said it would not be a problem and they could install it by noon. They're supposed to be out between 8:30 and 9:30 on the 17th. At 9:30, I got a call from the company saying that one of their individuals had a sick child and could not make it to work, so they would not be out there until noon and that if they weren’t coming on the 17th, they'd probably come on the morning of the 18th because the installation would take at least 8 to 10 hours to install.
I explained to them that I had told the gal on the phone that I was leaving at 5:30 on the 17th and I was not gonna be back until the 22nd and they said they were loaded up. So, they shifted the schedule and they installed the stairlift on the 23rd. Two installers came promptly at 8:30 and it took them five hours. The installer was a subcontractor through the main company and they didn’t seem to be too familiar with this particular brand. There were very explicit instructions which they decided not to follow and they ended up having to disassemble quite a bit and follow them step-by-step. Then, they went over with all the procedures with me for the stairlift and then they departed.
I love the stairlift. Normally, I get up in the morning and I would do everything. I get dressed, come downstairs and bring everything with me that I needed for the day because I would not use the stairs again until the evening. I'd have to send my wife upstairs to get me things on occasions because the stairs was so difficult for me to climb. I'm pretty mobile over flat terrain and I can move pretty good, but lifting the foot and the legs to climb is very difficult. I could climb about six steps then it would hurt so bad I'd have to literally stop, sit down and rest for a little bit.
With the stairlift now, I'm up and down the stairs a dozen times a day. It's unique because it doesn’t go along the wall. It goes along the railings and it gives us more room and when it's downstairs where it sits in the main entranceway, I can leave the seat and everything down and it's not in the way of traffic. The only time it might be in the way of traffic is when it's at the top of the stairs and if I fold the seat up, it's not bad. In addition, I have leather seats, both arms and the seat folds and the seat swivels both ways. It has a footrest that lifts up and down. The equipment is amazing, but customers need to find another company to install it and there are companies in this area that would do the installation.

We're getting old and we've had trouble getting down the stairs that I broke my ankle. When Bruno first called us, they said the stairlift would be around $5,000 to $6,000. That seemed reasonable so we've had them come out. The representative explained everything to me and set it up. But then I was told that it was gonna be close to $20,000. Then, they called and said that after they ran the numbers, it would be $14,000. They set the contract for $14,000 which was a little more than what I was expecting from the original call. They said the stairlift had cost more because of the way the stairs were built. But, it came out better than the $20,000 which was the high quote.
The installer who came was very nice and helpful. Afterwards, he explained everything to me about how the stairlift works. We got a stairlift that's straight and for outdoors. The quality seems quite good. I like the fact that if you take your finger off the thing, it stops immediately. The only problem with it is when you put the handles, seat, and footrest upright, and then place a cover to protect it but you pushed a little harder, the button gets triggered and the stairlift starts to move down the stairs. If the stairlift had a little cover that would flip over that, that would solve the problem. Bruno also gave me a product to remove any mold that may develop in the stairlift and that was nice of them.

I had a fall and I've had problems with my knee for about three years which has gotten worse. I also had an episode where I was blown over by the wind and got an injury. The care facility I was in told me that I couldn't use the stairway when I went home, so I decided to look into stairlifts. I had a good a friend that had used one of Bruno's stairlifts and he highly recommended it. I called Chuck, an Italian salesman, and he presented his options, was very knowledgeable and gave me a pretty good rundown on the stairlift.
I decided to get it and the installer came and put a straight stairlift in about four hours. I have a fairly wide stairway, but the presence of the stairlift is going to make it difficult to move things in and out of my basement. I am also having a little problem with starting the stairlift to come up the stairs because they did not go completely to the bottom without an electrical connection there. But I learned how to use it and it now functions fairly well. I'm now able to go up and down my stairs where I have my office in the basement and it's helped me a lot. It cost some money, but fortunately, I had the money to pay for it. I would like to have it a little cheaper, but it wasn't that exorbitant. Other than that, Bruno has a pretty good product and I've recommended them to other people.

It was very hard for me to lift my daughter everyday going to doctor visits and places. I had to pick her up and put her in the car seat and it was killing me. I needed a seat that can help me. I couldn't afford to get the complete modification of the chairlift as that is very expensive and I couldn't afford to buy a new car to do the complete lift for the wheelchair. So, I have my son who owns a van that I use everyday and I asked Bruno to help me put the lift in there. But Bruno told me that they will not put the wheelchair lift in because the van is an old model. I talked to the people at the shop that put the Bruno on there and they told me that the Bruno lift can be removed to install to a new van in the future if something goes wrong. So, they installed this one for me and I'm very grateful for that.
The installation, which took a whole day, went well and the reps helped me a lot. They explained how to use the lift and what the process was. I like everything about the lift as it comes out and then I can put my daughter in there better. I don't have to lift her up high and put in the car seat. Even though I still have to lift her, it's not like I used to. I'm really thankful that I own the Bruno lift.

I was talking to Acorn but we worked with 101 Mobility and they told me that they wouldn't use Acorn because they break down. And I wanted the best. I wanted something that has a very comfortable chair and would not be noisy or have any issues. We got a curved Bruno stairlift and it had to be made specifically for the stairs. 101 Mobility was great in coming out and getting everything measured properly. It was well taken care of. We have one step up to get to the stairs so we had the unit come around to sit right next to our TV, which eliminated going up that one step. The stairlift also matches with our wall paint so it all blends in.
The unit is amazing. It really works well. My husband has issues with getting upstairs and the stairlift has helped tremendously. I also have a sister who is mentally challenged and I thought she would be afraid to use it when she comes to stay but she loves it. We can also bring the stairlift up and down using the remote and we enjoy having that. It's been a seamless transition for us which is what we were looking for. I'm very satisfied with the stairlift. It is an expensive product but it's been worth it.

My father has Parkinson’s and he was having difficulties going up and down the stairs. I researched different stairlift providers and we went with Bruno Elite because the chairlift is a medical device and it’s prettier than other providers. I bought the stairlift through a vendor, EHLS, that sells Bruno products. They represented Bruno very well. The guy I dealt with was great because I had a lot of questions since I've never purchased a stairlift before and I didn’t know there were many options. The installation of the stairlift went well and the stairlift we got had all the bells and whistles on it. We got the power-assisted rotate and the power-assisted footrest, as well as the auto-rotate option, which, however, was defective. So, they had to bring in a new piece and figure it out the next day.
The straight stairlift that we have installed is wonderful. I like the ease of use and my father loves the fact that he can make it up the stairs without difficulty. The stairlift is very well-built unlike the other stairlifts which were plasticky and I didn’t like the aesthetic. Also, I thought Bruno stairlift was a lot more expensive but I was pleasantly surprised with its cost. I was so worried that I was going to get a call one of these days that he fell down the stairs again. It was a problem for a while and my father was a little resistant to the idea of the stairlift. But, since he got the stairlift, he is very happy now. It’s a huge safety concern and I’m happy with everything so far. I purchased a Bruno stairlift as a replacement for the other Bruno, which we had since 2006. I have a Bruno lift in my van too for my power chair. I’ve known their reps for some time. They’ve assisted me with Jackson Medical. And when I moved back to my childhood home, I had a name recognition of them from television and I found out that they’re a small family run business that I trust. I’ve been dealing with them since 2006, so they can read my mind.
A straight stairlift was installed from the first floor to the basement. I trusted in the product that they suggested and I am pleased with it. It was an easy choice to make and the features are an upgrade to what I had before with the earlier style. It's exactly a whole different kind of operation. It’s beltless, it can charge anyplace on the carrier line, it seems to be quieter and smoother. For sitting, the features trail back a bit on the plushness of the seat and the arms, but I'm not in it long enough for that to be a real factor. It’s not as luxuriant in terms of the sitting, but I feel safe in it and it requires less maintenance. I make sure that the other one was locked at the dock up the top, at the end of the run, so that it would recharge.
The stairlift gives me the freedom to be able to accomplish what I need to accomplish in my activities of daily living. I have a freezer in the basement and the laundry’s in the basement, so it helps me complete tasks that I would otherwise not be able to do. Bruno continues to be a good brand in my book and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either the product itself or their representative, to get interested in the same. It’s a good company and I’m very pleased with them so far.

The gentleman was very professional. He explained that the cord would be plugged into the wall and the cord would run down the stairs. The installation team was very professional too and did everything they needed to do and explained. My daughter was here during the installation and she showed me how to use the stairlift. It had one remote downstairs, one remote upstairs and another remote on the handle which was to be pushed. I just filled out the warranty yesterday and I mailed it off. They also gave me a card.
Bruno Stairlift is very good and very strong. It is easier and more accessible to get upstairs. It comes in handy when I have to take my father-in-law up. Plus, we don’t have to worry anymore about him when we bring him down where I’d be in front and my husband at the back and be step by step. We just buckle him in, he goes upstairs. I purchased a Bruno stairlift for my mother and my dad. My mom fell and broke her tailbone. And because she mainly does everything for dad, she was unable to go up and down the stairs and dad got to the point where he couldn’t go up and down the stairs at all. We had a hard time getting my dad to agree with it to begin with because although he has a knee problem, he’s still very independent and just did not want one. So it took us a while to get it across to him that he needed it and especially mom. Bruno was recommended by the VA and the guys that came were very professional. They included mom and dad in the discussion and measured dad, because he’s the taller one of the two, to make sure that he would be able to get down the stairs being in the chair. They couldn’t have been more professional but they were also concerned that mom and dad were included in the decision.
We had a straight stairlift installed indoors and it fits really good. Our stairs were narrow but they assured us that it would fit and we would still have room to get around, those of us that don’t need it. And it turned out that way. It works fine. We can clip the seat up and get around it or send it down to the bottom of the steps until we get down there. It worked out really well.
The installer was the same gentlemen that came and took the measurements originally and he was very good. It was raining and they thought they might have to use the garage, which could have been a problem, in order to cut the materials. But we didn’t have to and they cleaned up the shaving. We were very impressed with the whole installation. They demonstrated it and then they let each of us do it while they were there so if we had any questions, they could answer it. Overall, I love the stairlift. It’s very quiet, you don’t even hear it, and it’s very nice-looking too. Their professionalism has been wonderful and we’re very happy.

Their model on the floor didn’t have a battery so they couldn’t show me how it worked. But I could see from the brochure what it would do and it was exactly what we needed. They also called and scheduled an appointment. The people that were selling it were good. They explained it and I appreciated their answering questions and getting it done.
We had a Bruno adaptive seat put in our van so my wife can get up in the van. It took six hours to get it installed on one given day. They also showed me how to use this handheld controller that's got four features so it worked out good. I gotta do the maneuvers. The only thing she’s doing is sit in that chair and the chair does the rest. The seat comes out and lowers then she can sit on it. I would reverse that and she can get in the van.
She feels very comfortable in it and very relieved because it was such a hassle trying to get her in the van. Before this, it took four people to do that. Now, we can do it just the two of us. We’re very pleased with it. We've had the product for less than a month and the quality seems to be good so far. It’ll enable us to travel cross-country too. We can actually go places now. So it's very helpful. If I had known about this a year or so before, I probably would have done it earlier. It sure saved my back. And I’d recommend them very much.

We're in a tri-level home and my wife fell down the stairs. She's still in rehab but will be coming home by the end of the week. So, we decided to buy a stairlift as a convenience for her. We checked out three stairlift providers, but I had a handyman who recommended Bruno and that's where I went. The sales visit went well and it turned out that the franchise owner used to be our neighbor. We got two straight stairlifts, one going down and one going up. One has six steps while the other one has eight steps. The installers were excellent guys and I was very happy with them.
The stairlift going down is very wide. After I saw it in place, I was happy and decided to go ahead with the stairlift going up. There are railings on both sides and the hallway is 36 inches wide and a little tighter, but the installer sat on it and did not hit his knees on the other railing. We elected to keep the railings on both sides because I sometimes still use the stairs in coming up and down. If I had one railing taken off, the stairlift could have been four inches closer to the wall.
I like that the stairlifts look good and fit in okay, and the railings look nice. The stairlift going upstairs had to be spliced to make the length, but it fits together nicely. I can have my wife sit in a chair and she can push the button to go up and down, and I don't have to worry about being behind her. We're up there in age so that would be good. I've tried the stairlifts a few times. My daughter tried them as well and she said that her kids are gonna love it. The ride is good and we call the stairlift our inside slow-moving roller coaster. Everything was pleasant with Bruno. Somebody at church has already asked me about them and word of mouth goes a long way.

The Bruno reps came for the sales visit on the promised date and they were fine. The installation took all day but the two fellas were very pleasant and did their work. They stayed a little later but the stairlift came out fine.
The stairlift that we got is curved and my husband is not tiny so we got a 400-pound weight capacity chair. I like that the Bruno stairlift is safe and that it beeps when it's not in the right position. I use it as well and I can take my grandchildren downstairs on it too. This is a three-floor house and we have the wide stairs so even with the stairlift, there's plenty of room for someone to walk by. The house is in an over 55 community and since everything's on the main floor, the chairlift goes from there. I've been using the chairlift to put my dog on my lap and take him down the basement and out in the back. And that's the main thing as I couldn't take him out without the stairlift. He's used to having his own backyard and I can take him off leash out back. And he can't do the stairs because he has an implant in his knee. The installers showed me how to use the stairlift and they watched me use it. They went over all the safety precautions too, which was nice. I was satisfied with their work. They even put it on a drop cord for me until the electrician could come two days later and make the electrical connections. There's no bracket on the wall though to call the stairlift back upstairs. There was a bracket put on downstairs but it’s just laying loose on the table next to the door at the top of the stairs.
The stairlift is comfortable though and it goes up and down like a charm. Its quality is great. It was not cheap, but it works. It makes it a lot easier for me to get upstairs, the living part of the house, and downstairs where my man cave and my office is. My girl can use it, too. If I'm at the bottom of the stairs and I'm trying to get from my wheelchair and onto the chair, it's way too high. I need two people to help me on it. It's easy to use once I'm on it, though.
The rep I spoke with was very good and he explained the differences between the unit he was selling and some of the other units. He was able to answer all of our questions too. I asked if it would be flush and the answer was yes but we would have to extend the unit around the corner into my dining room to which will pose an obstacle. I need to see if there's another way to adjust that seat, but other than that, overall, it was excellent. The stairlift curves up the stairs and it's pretty sturdy. The installers were very respectful. We had to ask them to stop drilling at one point 'cause my husband was on an important business call and they did. They're ridiculously expensive. We viewed Bruno as being of higher quality, well-built equipment. Their reps were very professional, very friendly and very knowledgeable. They weren't pushy. I was very happy with them. The installation team did a nice job installing the stairlift. They were quick and thorough. I was concerned about the wiring because we didn't have a plug right there at the bottom of the steps. They did a really nice job of running the wire, so that it was safe and no one would trip on it.
I like the safety features on it where if you get your foot or hand or something in the way, it won't continue to go up and squash your foot. I didn't know that it has those safety features, which is a nice surprise. Overall, it's a well-made product. I would tell my friends that if they're gonna buy Bruno, they can be confident that they're gonna get good quality equipment.

Bruno has helped me a lot. I have a hard time going up and down the stairs and walking. I had done some research on the different stairlifts. I checked online and Bruno had better reviews. They were nice during the sale visit. I knew what I wanted when I went in and bought the one with extra padding. They have two different seats but only have the plain one in the stores. They should put both seats out for people to look at. I wish that there was a way for people to sit in them. I only know the difference because I ride the carts in the stores and some of those carts with the flat seats hurt the back of my leg.
I have a bi-level house and I ended up getting two straight ones so they would not block the walkway to one area downstairs. Two guys came out to install the stairlift and they were really good. With the stairlift, it's easier for me to get up and down the stairs and do the laundry. The stairlift has taken some of the pain out of my legs and hips. The chairs were very comfortable and seemed to be really good, too. I have recommended Bruno and told friends to go with the better seat because of the cushioning, which makes a difference.

My elderly mother-in-law lives with us, and she couldn't handle stairs in which she got arthritis in her knees. Everything was good when the tech installed the Bruno stairlift. The tech was very helpful and very professional. The site was also cleaned up properly. My favorite feature of the lift is the extension for the track and that kind of folds up and down. So, it eliminates tripping hazard in the landing area of that stairlift. Now, that since has failed. Some kind of part broke, but there's a part on order and that's to be serviced. Other than that, the product itself seems to be working properly. It's doing what we need it to do.

I got a chair lift so I can haul my powerchair up to my vehicle. I got it through the state and they picked Bruno Independent Living Aids as the provider. The people from Bruno did everything they could for me and answered all my questions and concerns, and I couldn’t ask for better treatment. The installation went great and didn’t take long for the installer to do, and that was really nice. One negative thing, though, was that for a person that has disability or limited mobility, it was hard to get to the place to have the lift installed. I had to haul my chair up there for them to install my lift. I looked out and there was another disabled person close by that had a lift and I was able to borrow his lift to get my chair up there and have my lift installed. It would have been a whole lot better if they had a mobile service where they would come out to the person’s home to install the lift.
Most lifts or powerchairs have straps that hold them on, but I like that my lift has a bar that comes down across the seat and pins it down to the lift itself. By myself, I couldn’t strap my powerchair down, but this way I can put it on and load it myself, and do whatever I want on my own. The lift has helped me to be more independent. Whereas before I was stuck here at the house with my chair and I had no way to get it to a store, now I have more freedom and mobility to go where I want to because all I have to do is load my chair up to my vehicle, and that’s good. l love the quality of my lift and I'd tell people to check out Bruno. Their product is well worth the money that it costs.

My husband is incapacitated and cannot go outside. He does not walk so we have to lift him. I had State Mobility install a stairlift inside, but I should have done more extensive research on the internet. I was also going to put an outdoor ramp so my husband could go outside, but I realized the steps were too high. So I purchased an outdoor stairlift from Bruno. Their rep was very good, courteous and not pushy. He answered my questions and did the measurements. He also gave suggestions, came out when the lift came and made sure everything was okay.
The installer was someone you could sit with and talk and ask questions. He was not in rush and was very patient. He did not push us into buying and was very courteous. He showed us how the stairlift works and exactly what to do. Plus, the paperwork was on par and the warranty was given. My experience with Bruno has been great. As far as impression counts, they lived up to what they said at the beginning. Others should do business with Bruno, they won't be disappointed. I would also recommend Bruno to a friend.

My husband couldn't get up and down the stairs anymore. We went through the VA, and they sent Bruno out here. And from the start to finish, our experience with Bruno was beautiful. Their representatives were fantastic. And the installers did a beautiful job putting in a platform lift. The lift made my husband's life easier. All he has to do is just walk a little space from the door to the lift and then punch a button and down he goes. The quality of the lift is beautiful. But we had a thunderstorm and the lightning hit the other night, and we're waiting for somebody to come and fix it.

I have ALS and VA was good enough offer to pay for a stairlift because they know I need it. They chose to buy a Bruno unit and I've had a very good experience with the company. They have the best representatives from any of the companies that visited me. The installation went really well and we went through how to use it and the demonstrations. They can install it in the next day or two days after they come by, but you have to special make it for the situation. But other than the wait, everything was great. I have curved unit and it's working out fine for us. It's narrow and its worst problem is that the people who wanna walk up have to make sure that it’s out of the way .
We had some problem with getting off down at the lower level, and they have been absolutely wonderful about coming out and troubleshooting and coming up with a solution for what we have to do. I talked to their guy and he's gonna call me, prepare us the appointment, and make the final changes. I didn’t have an orange light anymore when the machine was parked, so he’ll do double duty and double check that and see why. But we’ve been very pleased with the machine going up and down and learning how to use it. I would definitely recommend somebody get it.

I have the sciatic nerve and I can't lift my right leg up from the steps without severe pain. During the sales visit, I told the guy and he gave me a price and told me to get Bruno Independent Living Aids. However, he wasn't a fantastic salesperson and he was more or less an order taker. He didn't know exactly the price or what price could be. He quoted us $300 more than I could have gotten us from another dealer here in Sudbury. I wish they had somebody with more knowledge of what they were selling and the features. They should come to a direct pricing.
We had the straight stairlift installed and it fits as good as we need it. The installers had work clothes on and took their shoes off. One guy from the installation team was asking questions all the time and the other guy was giving him the answers. So, it wasn't a combination of two professionals. After it was installed, they showed what you press up and down. The stairlift goes up and down and that’s all there is to it but people should go and find out for themselves about Bruno.

I'm 84 years old and I'm having trouble with my legs. And my wife is 86, and she's having hers operated on. And we needed a stairlift in the worst way. Bruno was available and they talked to me in the right way, and they sold the stairlift to me at the right price and they did good work. Bruno's representative couldn't have been any better. I love our stairlift from Bruno, and my wife and I are certainly able to utilize it. And we like that also it rotates at the top to get on it. We're pleasantly impressed with it and it does everything we need.

My husband has trouble going up and down the stairs. He's got heart problems and so, he wanted a stairlift. Driving to Bruno's was handy for us. Their reps came out and were very good, friendly and nice. They gave us a price and the same people who came out installed the stairlift. The installation went very quickly. They also showed us what to do. Everything worked out really good and my husband is using the stairlift. It is compact and is of fine quality. Because of the service that we got and the people we've talked to, I would recommend Bruno.

I fell and broke my femur and I went to two months of rehab in Naples, Florida. I have to come in our garage and have to go up a flight of stairs to get to my living quarters. So, I wanted to get a stairlift. I had the Bruno stairlift installed and it fits very well. Using it is terrific. I like its ease of operation. My wife really loves it too. When she goes grocery shopping, she puts the groceries in a box on the chairlift and she sends it up and I take them out of the box and send it back down again. My neighbor across the street also has a Bruno stairlift.

My husband was really sick and couldn’t breathe to go upstairs. We looked at some stairlift companies online and saw that Acorn was not very friendly. My husband wanted Bruno. Their representative, James, was very good and he explained stuff. He also said that there was a lady that lived close to us in Lakemont and she had a Bruno chair. So instead of going to Fife, James gave me her number. We called her and she let us try the chair. That was really good. My husband got to ride the chair at her house.
We ordered a curved stairlift and my stairwell’s too narrow but it was fine. It took so long to manufacture and get in their installation though. We ordered it December and it was installed May 25th. I thought the lift was gonna go farther down the second floor but that was the way Bruno designed it. I also noticed that when the lift comes around the bend to go upstairs, it makes a bumbling noise at that section. Another thing is they only give a 90-day warranty. If I call them out, they charge $175 to come to Newcastle from Fife.

We like the whole experience with Bruno Stairlifts because the stairlift makes it a lot easier for my partner to get upstairs. We don't have to worry about falling down or walking down. We got a straight indoor stairlift from the first floor to the second floor. Everything was great during the sales visit and the whole installation process took an hour and a half. Then the people came back and did some readjustments on it for us, on a timely manner. It’s just a great thing and we appreciate the VA for paying for it as that was a great expense.

I purchased a stairlift so I could go up and down the steps. Bruno Independent Living Aids was recommended to me. It was a good recommendation. They are really good people. Bruno has been in the area for years and they said there was probably something cheaper, but the tech only handles what does not give him trouble. Also if we have any problems, they’d be able to service it. The installation went really fast as well. They also cleaned up and showed how all the features work. I feel good about the unit. My wife even says that the stairlift has a really smooth ride and at the end, it’s a nice, soft bump when it stops. It folds up out of the way if you want it that way. I’d definitely recommend Bruno and the people who installed it.

Bruno's stairlift is made in America and I like its style as well as the size of the seat. Also, I used to work for General Motors and I've seen that they used a good quality seat belt system. So, I purchased a straight indoor stairlift from Bruno and things went really well with their sales reps. Their installation team was also excellent and they demonstrated how to use it a couple of times. The stairlift is easy to operate and I like the handle thing where you just push the button and it goes up and down. It's great and I have no problems with it.

My mother needed a stairlift and my brother picked Bruno. The guy who installed it was great and did a demo on how the stair lift worked. We got a straight one and it exceeded our expectations. It's working great. My mother also likes the smoothness and quietness of the ride. The only problem is, when my mother goes to the top and then turns the chair to get out of it, she has to lock it back into place so it doesn't beep. She had a neck injury and one bad hand so having her lean downwards towards the stairs to put the chair back in place even though she's holding one hand on is too scary. Too bad she could not turn it back, lock it, and leave it exactly how it was so she could sit right back down. But other than that, everything has been excellent. The cost was very reasonable too.

My neuropathy started around 1989, and now it's all full blown. I had it in all four extremities. Everything hurts. My legs are also very weak. I also had an ankle fusion which failed, then I had it repeated but we don’t know the status of that right now because I have an infection in the suture line. I've been in a wheelchair for off and on prior but steady for the last nine months. The VA offered Bruno as the stairlift provider and we went with it. Bruno's rep came right over, wanting to know what service that he could give us and show us some possibilities.
The whole thing that goes inside is just tremendous and I'm 100% satisfied with that part. The actual installation only took three days and it went well. They came, got our car and drove it down to their place and fitted the stairlift to the car and then they brought my car back. The overall quality of the project is great and I like the fact that they can get that whole thing into the car. It is a miracle because my wife had to take on the other one and I was trying to get something that would not be as hard on her. I recommend Bruno highly.

I have problems with my Achilles tendons so walking upstairs has been occasionally difficult. When I bought my first stairlift, the company I dealt with primarily dealt with Bruno and it looked like a good deal. Then, when the stairlift had a problem, a guy came to my house and suggested that I upgrade to the latest version and I agreed. I figured the price would go up but it cost about the same as the old one, so I was pleased. Also, the guy was great. He was the one who installed it too. The latest version is straight and it doesn't take up as much room as the older one. I like the extra space and the fact that the seat swivels at the top. The other ones didn't do that.

We are becoming older and I have some knee problems. We have our washer, dryer and shower down there and we thought we'd have to move to an apartment or have the stairlift instead. My girlfriend had told me about Bruno stairlifts before and she said that rather than moving their washer and dryer or going to an apartment, they decided to have the stairlift. So, we talked it over and we said that maybe that would be a good idea. I went to the store and talked to the lady over there. Then, their team came over and measured and later on, put the stairlift in.
The installation team did very well. They told us how the stairlift works and we were happy with them. I like being able to go up and down the steps without walking. We have the straight stairlift which we can collapse if we don't wanna use it or when the kids come over so that there's plenty of room on the staircase. The cost was okay, too. It was what we expected. Overall, Bruno has been very good.

There was another company that is well known so we were a little hesitant going with Bruno, but it turned out just fine. My husband spoke to their sales rep more than I did and he answered the questions we had. We had the stairlift installed in our new house and the installation went very well. Two of them came and worked very quickly. They showed me how it worked in which I basically knew, but it was a bit different. We haven’t moved into the new house yet but I’ve used the stairlift a few times and it was fine.
I have the Acorn stairlift and we thought that the way it sits on the rail would fit up close to the wall. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. There’s a doorframe there and the stairlift had to miss it. We should have gone ahead and removed the doorframe so that the stairlift would fit closer. Also, it seems harder to turn, but maybe it’s because it’s different for me and I’m not as strong as I should be.

My lift from Bruno Independent Living Aids has worked out well. I needed a lift because I'm elderly and their representatives were very quick in response to my inquiries. I got on a schedule relatively quickly because they worked with me to get on the schedule as soon as it came. There was a cancellation so they called me first to see if I was ready to get it installed. The company that installed the lift were really good. I recommend Bruno.
