My husband is 93 and he wasn’t able to go down. In fact, he fell a couple of times going down the steps. So the stairlift helps him get down on our steps now and he is very happy with it. We have a split-level home and I was really surprised that it works out as well as it does. I thought it would come up and curve around. But here, it goes straight up, comes up to the top and stays there. When you go to get on it, you turn it towards yourself and sit down then it turns back around and goes down. The technicians who did the installation were very good too. The two men didn’t have time to even look at us. They came in and installed but I made some conversation and they answered real politely. We liked them very much.

I was getting an outdoor stairlift for my mom and went over to Bruno. Based on my research, it seemed that their product was going to be the longer-lasting one. When their rep was here, he did not over-pressure us and we just had a relaxed interaction. The stairlift fits fine into our outer stairs, which are pretty wide, but my only complaint is on the ends.

My mom is 5 feet tall, and in order for her to get off and on the chair easily, we got to stop the chair before it reaches the top. And then when we get to the bottom, it’s not enough - even with the little piece that puts down, which she has a hard time stepping on. So we have this very thick and heavy matting put down that works, but doesn’t look too great. It would have worked better for her if the chair had the ability to come down a couple of inches, almost like an office chair that lowers. Also, I was told to call every year to make sure it’s lubed. I gotta pay 156 bucks for it, when I already paid 8,000. But overall, the stairlift is pretty good.

Somebody told me about the Bruno stairlift and I saw it on the commercial on TV where there was an elderly lady or a gentleman going up and down in their home. Also, I saw one that was an outside stairlift and I thought I'd find somebody who could help me get one. Then my homecare worker suggested that she would help me put it in with Telemiracle. In fact, my homecare set up everything for me to get the stairlift. I was excited when it was put in because it gave me the freedom to get out of my place and go where I wanted to go. It also brought me home when I wanted to come up back to my apartment because I suffered a whole year without going out of my apartment. I am very happy and satisfied with my stairlift. The quality is lovely, it works, and I enjoy going up and down with it.

My husband cannot walk a whole lot and going up and down the stairs was getting to be an impossibility so, we opted to buy a Bruno stairlift. We bought a used one and at that time, we had the contractor working on the house install the stairlift since he installed one before. But, we had a gentleman that we called to do some work on the stairlift once. We have the straight type of stairlift although I would like it a little more compact so it does not take up so much room on the staircase. I like that my husband can get up and down from the basement to the main part of the house without the risk of falling. We have had the Bruno for seven years and I am very satisfied with it.

Our Bruno stairlift was installed beautifully and very well. The person who did it was wonderful, quick, and very helpful. He did the job perfectly and everything was cleaned up. So far, we've had a wonderful experience with the stairlift. It is nice and we enjoy it. The only thing about it is that the seat cracks when you get up and down on it. There's like a piece of tin. I don't think it should be that way, but it's fine.

A doctor did surgery on my back last May and I came out of it with my left side paralyzed. I have a house with a downstairs and an upstairs, and in order for me to be able to function around here, I needed some way to get downstairs because I cannot walk up or down them. So, the VA put a Bruno chairlift here. A gentleman out of Great Falls, Montana named Bryan care here and put it in. He knew what he was doing and within two hours, he had it done. It's working great and I'm happy the way it is. I couldn’t be without it.

My wife needed a stairlift to get up and down the steps and when the installers from Bruno came in, they were very professional. They did what they had to do and said goodbye. We got a curved one and it fits well into our stairwell. However, my main hallway going up the steps is wider than the hallway where the bathroom is, which turns the corner. In some cases, it’s fairly rough with the ladies to get on and off because once that stairlift turns a corner, their knees are almost pent up against the wall. So, they end up unlocking the chair, sliding their legs around, and then swiveling the chair around so they can get off. Also, we still have a rough time trying to deal with the way the chair sticks out into the middle of the floor but with Bruno, everything was great. The stairlift is top-quality and built to last. The rollers are gonna be an issue sometime but as far as the frame that the chair rides on, that looks like solid steel and it’s not going anywhere.

I used to work for an outfit that's affiliated with Bruno and install the stairlifts myself. I worked as a BC Medical rep and for some other outfits. Then I worked for the people that owned Motion Specialties. The head guy in the shop and I were partners on installing the products, so naturally I was gonna go back to him. I’m 87 now and I’ve been retired for a while. The sales reps were very good and went out of their way to help me with my purchase. I had the Bruno inside stairlift installed and it goes from the basement up to the first floor. The installation went really well and the fellow that installed it knew what he was doing. I’ve been using it a long time and I like that it’s handy and smooth. I've had a great experience with my stairlift and I would recommend Bruno.

I can’t walk. I got arthritis in my kneecap and I don’t have any collagen in my hip. The company that I used before was good but Bruno could hold somebody up to 400 pounds and it could twist and turn around corners. The sales rep was wonderful. I was impressed with the care I was given. The installation team was nice. They took all the old hinges from my other stairlift and took the screws out of my railings. They vacuumed that up and put the screws back right. Everything’s lovely. I had them install the stairlift with curves around the corners. It’s very tight though because I live in an old colonial home. They told me if it gets any tighter, they would come out and try to take something out of the wall.

I have edema which makes the body swell up and Bruno is big enough for me. So, it’s wonderful. My girlfriend had an Acorn and hers snapped up the wall, and she had to beg the Acorn rep to come out there. They even came back again to make sure. With Bruno stairlift, I like that I don’t have to be scared. It gets me up from our two-story colonial home with no problem.

I've had a wonderful experience with Bruno stairlift and it has made my life much easier. I don’t have to worry about falling down the steps anymore. I have a problem with my right knee, I had nine back surgeries, and I had fallen. I called around and Bruno's rep, Pam, was available. She made a special effort to come over here to present Bruno to me. I told her what I liked and she said she had the perfect thing for me. She showed me the stairlift and I liked what I saw. It was what I wanted. One major factor too was Bruno has a place right here so if something happens, I don’t have to wait for a week for somebody to send somebody who doesn’t even know what he's doing to work on it. The product has a lifetime warranty too.

I have steps in my house and the stairlift helps me get up and down the steps. My stairlift is straight up and down. I have a split level house so there’s one chair on the lower step and one on the top step. It’s perfect for my house. It’s not bulky and it’s not overbearing in the whole stairwell. It’s exactly what I needed. The chair is nice too. I’m 240 pounds so it fit perfectly for me. I also like the remote of my stairlift. If my chair is upstairs, I can call it to me. I have to keep the bottom chair downstairs so I could get down. I have to call it up so I can go back down. That’s the way I had to set it in my house because my wife didn’t want to get rid of an antique piece she has by the door. But that worked out. The remote worked perfectly.

The installation took about two and a half hours which wasn't that long. The installers were awesome and friendly. We laughed and joked, and they did their work. They were very knowledgeable about the equipment. I told them how I like it, and they figured it out and worked it out. They also cleaned up perfectly. They put everything where it was not visible like hiding the wires and stuff. I recommend Bruno and I’ve already told a couple of people about it. Their price is reasonable. The other people that we talked to wanted close to $10,000 and Bruno was on sale at the time of our purchase which saved us a little money. I got everything done for $5,500.

They did a good job and it didn’t take them long to install it. We like that the stairlift is easy to operate. Now, I don’t get as tired going up the steps like I used to. I live in a townhouse and all the bedrooms are upstairs. I broke my hip so I couldn't get upstairs. People were telling me a broken hip takes about a year to completely heal. We ended up going with Bruno cause of the price, quality, as well as the warranty. My wonderful brother did all the legwork and the research for me. He even looked at Acorn, and they were cheaper, price-wise and quality wise. And they didn’t have the warranty that Bruno has. In addition, Bruno is made in America and while the product is a little more expensive, you have to pay a little more to get what you want.

The straight stairlift fits well in our stairwell. The people who came out were very professional and efficient. It took them about an hour and a half to install the stairlift. They also sat me down and explained everything. I've been totally pleased with the Bruno stairlift in all aspects. It does what I want it to do. It was definitely worth the investment and I would recommend it to anybody.

My wife had a stroke and it was getting difficult to get her up and down the stairs safely. We looked into getting a stairlift and the one on that was on the TV all the time made me nervous. On the other hand, I know the Medequip people and Bruno was the brand that they handled. They were also suggested by a competitor, so we went with them. The Bruno sales rep that I worked with was informative. He didn’t try to oversell me on something that was more expensive and he showed the pros and cons of the stairlift. The installation also went well. It was smooth and easy, and although my wife had already passed away, the stairlift made her last days easier and more enjoyable.

People are not aware how inexpensive a chairlift like that is. They all think they're $5,000 or $10,000, but they aren't. They're very reasonably priced. There are a lot of reasons for them, too. Overall, we had a good experience with Bruno. My grandchildren love the stairlift and I might even ride it. It's also good for our clothes basket.

Also, he was able to answer all the questions I had at the time. I had a few more later on and made a couple of phone calls and they answered those, too. The same guy came and installed it and he brought a fellow with him. They were pretty fast. This is a three-story house, so I had two separate stairlifts to put in, one from the first to second and second to the third floors. They put one flight in each day that they came. They were here three or four hours the first day and two or three the second day. The second one seemed to go faster than the first. I would recommend Bruno.

My husband can’t navigate the stairs anymore and in looking at stairlifts, Consumer Report rated Bruno a little higher than Acorn. On top of that, Bruno's warranty is longer than Acorn's. The representative I dealt with answered all the questions I had. But he told me the stairlift would be closer to the wall and it's not. The fella who installed it said this is how it had to be. But I did get the foldaway and that might have something to do with it. It’s in a doorway so I had to get the one that folds up so people don’t trip in the doorway when it’s not in use.

I also had a railing going up the inside of the wall and they told me to take it down. But I really didn’t have to. That was the only thing that was a bummer. I would have liked to have left it. I can put it back again but now the whole thing is all patched up. Otherwise, the installation was great. One man came out and he did it unbelievably. He was clean too. One thing about the stairlift though is that when it goes over any of the screws in there, it makes a noise. But other than that, it’s fine. It’s smooth and I’m satisfied with it.

I like my Bruno stairlift very much. If my friends are around, I'd let them try it. I had a Cheney stairlift years before but it got to the point where it was having to be serviced more, so I knew I needed a new one. My daughter looked up Bruno on the internet and every place. Bruno had a very good reputation and I like that it is made in the USA, so we chose them. You think of stairlifts as kind of spendy. But considering that my old Cheney, which cost me $7,000, lasted 30 years, I didn’t think that was terrible. The Bruno salesmen were great and I like the people that I dealt with. The people that installed it were very efficient and nice too.

My stairwell is not a very good wide one but it couldn’t have been any narrower anyway, and it's fine. I have a curved stairlift at the bottom of the stairs, so there's a little landing and then it curves on. The quality of the stairlift seems to be very good. I weigh 144 pounds but I chose one that goes up to 400. I have people who come by that weight a lot more and possibly I'll be lifting heavy stuff up the chair too. The Bruno stairlift is quieter than the Cheney, and I like the fact that it's safer for me than trying to go down the stairs. The Bruno team came and they inspected it, and it passed. I'd tell my friends to consider Bruno.

My experience with Bruno was excellent. I'm very happy with the stairlift. My husband and I are both very elderly and we live in a basement suite. So, I felt that putting the stairlift in was a proactive thing to do. And being a local provider, Bruno was our choice. I felt that I would get better service through them if we needed repairs or batteries. Another thing was that it was considerably cheaper than the other company that I got a quote from.

The sales rep that Bruno sent us came in a very timely fashion and was excellent. He brought information and explained everything. We went for a straight stairlift and the guy who installed it came on time, was very fast and was very neat. And though the chair itself is a little bulkier than I had hoped it would be, it's not really an issue because when the house was built, we made sure that there was an extra wide stairwell. We knew that somewhere down the line, we'd probably buy a stairlift. It's just where the chair is, at the end of the track, there's not that much room so we can't pack fridges down the stairwell anymore. Still, I like our new stairlift knowing that it's safe, being that safety is a big issue for me, and the fact that if the power goes out, it's still gonna run for a while.

They didn’t take out a railing which they should’ve then installed the stairlift and put the railing on the other side of the staircase. I didn’t specify that, though, so they didn’t do it. But I wish I had said something to those people before they installed the stairlift. I just assumed that if that was their job, they would do the best they could.

Because of the installation issue, the stairlift takes up more space. The actual track was installed further from the wall than it should have been thereby making it a very narrow passage for the people who have to walk down the stairs. I didn’t contact Bruno about that issue, though, because I just felt grateful to have the stairlift there even though it could have been installed in a much better way. Other than that, I love and enjoy the stairlift. It has worked wonderfully and has made a big difference for me. I would definitely recommend it.

I had a curved stairlift installed and the installation went well. The people came out here and put it all together. They explained everything to me and it all went fine. They also cleaned up everything which made things much better. I’m able to get to my basement. Everything that the sales rep told me was gonna happen happened and it fits real good. The quality is very good too. I like that it gets down the stairs in a good time range. Bruno is very good. It didn’t cost me much and I'd recommend it.

My mom had fallen and she did physical therapy but it hurt her further. She needed to get out of the house but she couldn’t. My husband and I were trying to help her get a company to come and install a stairlift. When my mom had some work done in the house, a construction man said he saw a house that had a nice stairlift, so he gave me the name of the company, Benchmark Home Elevator, out of Napa, California that sells Bruno stairlifts. Bruno was good, but I dealt with Benchmark and they were terrific.

I interviewed three different stairlift companies before and it was not a good experience. The sales people were like car salesmen and they hemmed and hawed. Some of them wouldn’t get back to me unless I asked them. But when the guy selling Bruno stairlifts came in, he was cut-and-dry and knowledgeable. We went to the back stairs, but it was too small and narrow, and he knew there would be problems. He did his job and he was straightforward in giving us the price. He said he could make the cost higher and then give a percentage so we would think that we were getting something for nothing, but he just gave us the cost and the payments were straightforward. It was a fair price and I didn’t feel like he was trying to nickel-and-dime us. He didn’t make so much and it was an honest, fair way of doing the sale. That was the smoothest thing that we ever went through with him.

It really made me feel good when the guy said that Bruno's product is American-made and wasn’t coming from China. He told us what we needed that would be good for my mom, which was the basic stairlift, and that was what he put on the outside for people. He made it so easy and didn't give any options to make me confused. Everything he said that was gonna happen did happen. He said the stairlift was gonna come between six and seven weeks, and it did. He and his partner came and put the stairlift in. The installation and the cleanup were good. Sometimes, though, when I press the button for my mom to go down, the stairlift stops midway and I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong with the button or if the stairlift is supposed to stop sometimes while going down.

The Bruno stairlift is a good product with material that looks good and Benchmark is a very good company. I tell people not to waste their time and interview anybody else if they ever need a stairlift. Unfortunately, though, we got the curved stairlift and it cost us more. But Benchmark did a good job fitting it into our strairwell. But my mom doesn't use the footrest because she has a hard time bending her legs. It's too bad they don’t have a longer footrest that juts out more, but the guy said that would not be advisable for our curved stairlift and the footrest is only one size, so I just put the footrest up and my mom dangles her feet a bit.

I like the quality of our stairlift, although I wish it could make another right-hand turn to move the chair to the right. The guy said it just stops and can’t go the other way, and we have to get up from that point. We've made it work, but that turn would have made it easier for mom. The stairlift is beautiful, though, and one of my friends saw it and said that it looks like it came with the house. We're really happy with it and it is the best thing we ever did. It's the best thing for me and my mom that I can take her out to the doctor and out to lunch once in a while, and I can get her out of the house if there is an emergency. So, our Bruno stairlift has given us options in our life.

The stairlift is worth every penny that we paid and its cost was the best money that we spent. The stairlift saved the day because I couldn’t get my mom medical help before as I couldn’t take her to appointments with the doctors and the doctors would not come over to the house. I tried services to get her out of the house before, but they charged too much and we didn’t know if we were getting professionals. But Bruno is a good company with a nice stairlift and we love them.

Everything went well during the sales visit, and then one man came out to do the installation. It was a half-day job for him. He was very clean and professional. The stairlift works fine and its quality is fine as well. I just think I should have gotten a heavier one. I weigh about 140, and they put in a lightweight one which jiggles a little bit more than I think it should.

We were looking for a stairlift that can be custom-made because our outdoor had a stairway, a platform, and another stairway. It had a different shape. I checked with a company called Performance Medical and they did some research and came up with Bruno as being the best. The person I talked to at Performance Medical helped me through a lot of the discussion, and what was needed, and what to watch out for. The actual installation of the stairlift went well, but it took us quite a long time to get it through. I'm in Seabrook Island, which is a gated community and they're very careful of the architectural activities here. We had to get through all of those people, and the town, and the county as well. So far, the stairlift is working fine. We haven't had any trouble. Our experience with Bruno was excellent.

I’m facing kidney failure so my mobility is very limited and I have problems walking and long distances, so I have a scooter on my truck to help me move around when I go to different places and I had to load and unload ramps to get the scooter off. I’ve had a few accidents doing that with it falling off, not being straight. I got a curved Bruno scooter lift and the installers were great. It took a while before they could get the parts to put on the back of my truck, so I wasn’t happy with that, but the installation went well and we had a good relationship. It took them about four hours and we were good to go.

We’ve had some rains and cold weather and I haven’t had a problem with the curved lift. It holds up well and works like it’s supposed to. It takes me five minutes to load or unload, and I can do it by myself. As a matter of fact, my 10-year-old grandbaby loads and unloads it by himself sometimes for me. However, if I could extend the boom further, I would. Other than that, it's a great lift. I’ve had several people ask me about it and I’ve given Bruno a good recommendation on it.

It was also hard for them to get the new stairlift in, and it seems smaller than my old one. When I try to go up, it stops, and then it starts again going up. With my old stairlift, I had on both sides that I could use to go up and down, but the Bruno stairlift that I got has on one side only. But overall, I'd recommend Bruno to other people.

We’re in our 70s and we wanted to stay here in this home, and yet have access to our basement. It has a set of stairs that is about a 49% grade and it's steep. Getting a stairlift seemed to be the most practical way of doing it. Plus, it cuts down the possibility of falling as you get older. It would be easier and safer to have one. We wanted to deal with someone locally and make sure we had service. The company that we chose used Bruno. We have been very happy with it and apparently, the customers as well. We got a 300-pound straight stairlift and since we do not have a wide stairwell, it fits fine. It does the job and we’re very pleased with it. Two guys did the installation and they were informative along the way. They were very good and nice people. We had a choice of Acorn and there were others but the gentleman that was there felt that Bruno worked well for them in the installations that they’ve done.

In today’s world, it’s very seldom that you get a chance to have somebody who comes in, shows you the product, you know what it’s gonna cost, it’s installed and they’re gone. There was no hassle at all. It was one of those types of things that when you spend 4,000 bucks for something, you’re hoping that you don't have any problems. This was no problem at all from the time we sat at the table and bought it until the time it was installed for five days at the max. So, that’s good service.

The stairlift I got curves around a few times. It takes me up from the bottom first floor to the second floor, and then it stops. There were a couple of bumps on the way up, but other than that, it's not too bad. The Bruno stairlift is saving me a lot of panting at night. I used to walk up the stairs and then I’d have to stand there, put my head on the bed for a while and catch up with my breathing before I could go on. I had hip surgeries and knee surgeries and I didn’t wanna move. My balance is bad too and in my family, there were other people who had trouble walking as they got older, so I got Bruno stairlift about eight years ago and it was fine. Shortly after that, I had a surgery in my knee. I came home and I was fine because I could get upstairs. I have a townhouse that is two levels and the bathroom is upstairs. My stairway is also quite steep. However, my Bruno got old and didn’t work anymore, and I had five days where I had to use the steps. My son put another railing up for me, so I had the two railings, but I really tried not to go up more than a couple of times a day.

Everybody at Bruno Independent Living Aids was very helpful and nice. The new Bruno I have now is a lot better than the old one. I had a lot of service calls on the old one, so it was quite expensive. Every time I called them, they came out and it was $70 before they even looked at the problem. The only good thing that happened during all that time was that I had a five-year warranty on one of the parts and it gave out before the five years, so it was replaced without having to pay for it.

The reps always came out to help if I had a problem. They knew what they were doing and they understood the Bruno and what was wrong with it, so that worked out. The only problem that I had recently was that I had to wait for five days to get the new stairlift when they had told me it was only gonna be three days. They called in the morning that they were going to come and they said that the fellow was sick, so they couldn't put it on that day to install it. It was really hard on me. But the new Bruno is so much nicer because it doesn’t have a red and yellow and green light to check to see if my battery is working all right. If I don’t make it to the top of the step, it will beep five times. I now make it to the top and bottom and it just beeps once and I can hear that, so I know that I'm in the right spot.

The new Bruno is a much better model and I should've had a newer one at the time I had the old one because I had so many service calls and there were so many things going wrong with it. My friend and her husband might be getting a Bruno stairlift and I'm going to put their name on the sheet that I have because I might get some credit if they get one. They have a townhouse and they have the lower level that they enjoy using, so they might get one to go down because her husband isn't that well.

My 94 year old mother was having trouble getting up the stairs and it got to the point where she had fallen in the bathroom. We were watching her all the time and one of my mother's classmates, a lady she graduated high school with, has a son who bought his mother a stairlift. In looking into it, I inquired about the Acorn model and the Bruno guys told me they had all-metal gears, whereas Acorn has plastic type gears in the track and I’m a believer in metal.

I talked to two guys. When we were in the store and I was talking to a younger guy, my mother had a seizure, which was the first time and we thought it was a stroke. There was a lady who works part-time in the store and she was a nurse. She assisted us until the paramedics got there, which is another reason why I went to Bruno. We got the one that automatically rotates when it goes to the top and the cost was a little higher than what I thought it was gonna be, but if my mother falls on the steps and we go through all that, it’s cheap insurance.

She kind of resisted. Being an old, Norwegian lady, she’s stubborn. Finally, I told her I’m gonna pay for it. The installer also suggested we can redo the installation and put the stairlift in my basement up in Michigan when we don’t need it anymore, and that sold it for her. The installer was very polite and courteous and he allowed me to watch everything. As an aircraft mechanic with a little skill, I would be able to install it in my basement 10 years down the road when I need it. Now, my mother enjoys it. My sister's knees are going bad, but she’s at the house, taking care of mom every once in a while and she’s gonna start using the stairlift too, so the quality is very good. Forget the Acorn. Go with the Bruno.

My wife has Guillain-Barré syndrome so she’s not able to go up and down the stairs. She can walk with a walker but she needs help going up and down the stairs. For her, the Bruno stairlifts are indispensable. We got four straight ones and they're very helpful. Our stairways are a little bit narrow though, so it's hard to walk past the stairlifts. But that’s just the way our stairwells are. Otherwise, the stairlifts seem to work very efficiently. Initially, I looked stairlifts up on the web and Bruno had very good recommendations. The company we used, Access Elevator, strongly recommended Bruno also. Then the people who came for the sales visit were also very helpful in explaining the situation. They detailed exactly what they would do and what they would install, and they answered all the questions we had.

There were four guys who came out for the installation and they worked efficiently without any breaks. They got all four of the stairlifts put in very easily in about six hours. It worked out fine. But after the stairlifts were in for a couple of days, one of the red lights on a unit was blinking and it wasn’t clear in the manual what that was. It is a minor thing but it would’ve been helpful if the manual had been a little more explanatory. But we called them and they came out. Apparently, a plug into one of the machines was disconnected. Nonetheless, the Bruno stairlift seems like an excellent product and it's a lifetime guarantee. That makes the purchase a no-brainer. The cost was reasonable too.

It's working well and serving its purpose, though. The living room is on the first floor and it takes him up to go to bed and brings him back down in the morning. I'd recommend Bruno.

I had a spinal surgery back in August and it’s gonna be about eight months from then before I would be able to navigate a set of stairs easily. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get to the main level in my house without going up into the stairs. So we knew, going into it, that we were gonna have to make some concession. We didn’t know exactly what we were gonna do so we had one vendor come out and look. The staircase in my house is odd as well since it’s very steep and narrow. The first guy who came out and looked at it said he didn’t believe it would be possible so we put that decision aside. A friend of mine, who's got MS and has been slowly degrading over time, had a stairlift put in in her townhouse a couple months ago and she suggested we call the folks from Access Ability. They came out, looked at it, and said that they thought they could do it, so we went forward.

Hayden, who I believe is one of the co-owners of Access Ability, did some measurements, took photographs, and made some basic sketches. We discussed what would have to happen and what would be done. Because of the nature of how my stairwell is built, we ended up having to go with a rail that had a fold-up extension at the end. We discussed the advantages of that as well as the option of a manual folding or an automatic folding rail, and we also talked about what the price range would potentially be. He said that he would get the information over to the interviewers at Bruno, and they would get back with him about what kind of equipment we need and give a set of instructions.

After about a week, Hayden had some difficulty. It was right in the middle of a hurricane coming through and since they do in-home elevators, they had some homes here that had gotten flooded and damaged elevators, so he was busy. But once he got the information up to Bruno, the interviewers came back and they didn’t believe that it was possible. They said that they didn’t think that it would work, given what he sent them. He passed that information along to us and it was discouraging reading the email. When we read the email, we realized that he had made assumptions that were incorrect. He thought we had wanted the lift rail to be on one side of the stairwell but we actually wanted it on the other side. The rail blocks off the access to one of the rooms in our house, but it doesn’t matter if we go in that room.

I ran Hayden back and asked if he could come out so we can talk about it again because we were talking about two different things. He came out, we talked about it again, and I pointed out what he said. So he went back in and gained some updated information. About two days later, he contacted me and said that they had all the mechanical drawings back. They required a deposit before they ordered the equipment from Bruno, so we sent over a check. It was 10 days from the day we sent the check until the day the stairlift was installed, and it was very quick.

Access Ability came out and got the stairlift installed. They got here about 9:00 or 10:00 o’clock that morning and then left around 4:00. It was a little more difficult than they had anticipated. They had a couple of places where they had to back up and make a little change here and there. Hayden has been very professional and knowledgeable about how the things would work and being able to look at the problem and extrapolate the equipment onto the problem. During the installation, there was something he didn’t feel was quite right and he couldn’t figure out how the engineers had intended for it to work. He was able to take his phone and call directly to the engineering department at Bruno, speak with one of the engineers directly right then, and worked through the problem. He took a picture and sent it to the guy. The engineering department assisted and was involved in coming up with a solution for the unique problem we had.

Hayden had immediate access to the person or persons that he needed to talk to in order to fix the problem right then and that is not something that happens every day. Bruno supported and followed through where so many companies don’t have these days. That is unique and impressive because otherwise, the installers had to ditch and then come back the next day. Of course, one more day is not another big deal but it certainly was much more satisfying to have the installation all done in one day. It even makes me confident that if I ever have a problem down the road and even if Hayden is not involved or they’ve gone out of business, Bruno would be able to support that person or me in doing whatever I needed doing.

In the end, the Bruno lift works great and it does exactly what I need it to do. I’m very happy with it. It can survive a lot of stuff and seems to be a very well-made and precision piece of equipment. I knew the majority of what we were talking about on it since I once had a job with a company that does wheelchair and medical equipment repair. The only thing that I wasn’t expecting was the folding rail stuff as I had never seen that before. When I fold down the part of the rail, I expected that there would be a big clunk but there isn't. It’s like a little thing where I barely feel it.

What's more, it’s amazing how the other people who came out were convinced that a stairlift wasn’t gonna work just because our stairwell is extremely steep and narrow, and they didn’t think they would be able to get adequate support for it. But the Bruno feels as stable as anything. I’m a big guy, about 340 pounds, and I don’t feel like it moves or shifts,or has any chance of doing anything at all when I’m going up and down it.

Having the stairlift has been a huge mental boost. My bedroom, my office, the kitchen, the primary living area is all upstairs. When I came home from the hospital, we put a bed in a spare room that has a full bath attached to it downstairs. My wife was bringing down everything I needed and it was really frustrating to live there for a month. Now, it's been a huge advantage to be back at the part of the house where we normally live. I came in a wheelchair after surgery and rehabilitation, and I’m getting better and improving dexterity every day. I’m using a cane to get around mostly but I still have a long way to go. It would be hard to go up the steps if I really tried. It would be dangerous and stupid. To have the freedom to get that big block out of the way allowed me to focus on some of the other things I needed to do rather than to sit, drool, and mope in the thought of being stuck in one room.

The Bruno lift also costs a lot less than some of the other options we got. We've had people come out and talk about putting in an external wheelchair lift that comes out into our back deck, or putting in a ramp. We were looking at 10 or $12,000 for those options but the Bruno came in under $6,000. Overall, Bruno does some stuff that has a dramatic impact on people’s lives. Because of that, they know where they need to be and they make sure that they’re gonna be that way. You can be confident that if things are put in, things are gonna be put in right and they’re gonna work right.

We need a stairlift for my mom and after doing our research, we found Bruno to be the best. I called Kelly and they gave me outstanding service. I opted for two straight stairlifts instead of a curved one considering that it would be double the price to get the curved one installed. It’s ridiculous. I’ve never seen pricing so different when you have to just create one curve from that standpoint and to join two straight ones. So, I was very, very surprised and disappointed with Bruno on that.

Bruno's stairlift is well-ranked and is of very reputable quality. Once installed however, it protruded a little bit more than I thought. I had baseboards and I had to install the stairlift at that side against the wall. The installation could’ve been done better by taking out the baseboard and putting against the wall, because that’s two inches that we lost in the stairway. Otherwise, we had a very good experience dealing with the installation team. Overall, we had a good experience with this company and the people that are representing them up in Cedar Park are outstanding.

My wife can’t walk and I have to walk her to the bathroom and I’m holding her. I can also take her down the stairs, but I won’t be able to bring her back up ‘cause if she starts to fall backward, there’s no way I can stop her. Also, I’ve been having problems myself. A ramp was gonna be put in all the way to the front end of my lawn and then come right back to the driveway. The fellow, that got the measurements on it, suggested putting a stairlift there instead. He said that it would be easier and a whole lot cheaper than the way they were gonna do it. But I told him that it needed a canopy there because it would be no good if it starts snowing. The snow is gonna get on my porch and the steps and it’s gonna have a mess there. He then said that he would mention that to the company.

The one who did the installation said that the fellow never mentioned anything about the canopy. They also never came into the house and ask my wife to try it out. We had to figure it out ourselves on how to get in and out of the stairlift. I also noticed that they never gave the remote control to us. Other than that, the installation went okay. And we’re very happy with the Bruno Stairlift.

I had my leg removed and I needed a stairlift. A buddy of mine had a Bruno stairlift and I was gonna buy his. His was 12 years old. After talking to Bruce up there, for a couple hundred dollars more, he said I should get a refurbished one. Plus, this was one that the chair you could leave anywhere, and it wouldn’t lose its charge. As compared to the one I was gonna buy, it had to be all the way at the top and all the way at the bottom. So, that seemed like a plus. Also, it wasn’t that much more money to get a refurbished one.

The sales visit was very good. I talked to Bruce on the phone and then I went up and met with him. He led me the right way. He said I’d be a dummy if I didn’t do it like that, and he was right. I was trying to save a couple bucks here and it would have cost me. I didn’t have a guarantee with the one I was gonna buy and it needed batteries. So, he did the right thing for me, showed me in the right direction, and was very helpful. The guys who did the installation were great and professional. They came in and they did a very good job. I couldn’t keep my mouth shut, so I don’t know if I was distracting them or not, but we were cracking jokes. It was a fun experience. We got the job done and everything went fine.

I love everything about my stairlift and I like that I don’t have to walk up the stairs anymore especially with one leg now. We have a long set of stairs. I also really like that with my Bruno stairlift, I don’t have to be all the way to the top and all the way to the bottom. Bruno is a good lift. And the guy, Bruce, you could trust him, he’s a straight shooter. Everything was great. It was a totally good experience.

After the installation, they showed us what to do with the stairlift. Louise and her husband like the lifts very much which really help them in going up and down the staircase and they're safer too. They came in, checked what they did, and they double-checked what they did. They made sure everything was perfect and that the inspector came on the same day. Everything worked like a smooth oiled machine.

We got a straight stairlift because we had a landing that we took out five years ago. They were supposed to put it in at that time, but then since my husband was walking and managed to get upstairs, we didn’t feel we needed it at that time. Our Bruno stairlift is awesome and we're grateful to have it. The quality is absolutely phenomenal, and we like everything about it. But it went bad and when we realized that it probably was just the battery, we called Medical Resources to find out if they could fix it. They don’t do those anymore but they gave us a phone number to call. That was how we got to MediEquip. When we went there, the salesman explained everything and was nice. But all MediEquip had were two Bruno stairlifts – the one I purchased and another one, which was $400 more. But it was just a bigger seat.

The installation was great though. They had to take my chairlift out and put the Bruno stairlift in, and they did it fast. They got here at about 8:00 in the morning and were here for about five hours, until 1:00 that afternoon. The only thing that I don't like about this Bruno stairlift is that the chair and the footrest are not as big. But it’s okay. I just don’t feel as comfortable but I would just have to get used to it. What the salesman said was right too. I’m really only on it for about 20 seconds. And I do need it to go down the basement. I would still recommend Bruno to others.

They started five inches away from the wall, on the bottom of the stairs, going up on top. It was not parallel to the wall. My wife was going up the stairs and her legs were hitting the rail on the opposite side. So, I had to call Bruno and they had to come back in. They had to make 15 new holes and those old holes are visible. Other than that, the stairlift is excellent quality. It's heavy duty and very nice. I tried to go with one but the insurance company said they had two outfits, Bruno and somebody else. I let them pick. I've seen the brochures and they were mostly the same anyway. A guy from Bruno came, did measurements and he sent it to the factory. He told me it could take up to two months but it took only six weeks.

I had the curved, indoor stairlift installed and it runs great. When they installed it, they were here for four hours. There are a couple of areas where it goes bang and as you go around the corner, it does it again. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. Still, the quality is fantastic and it's not taking me five to ten minutes to get upstairs. It takes me 24 seconds. It's quicker going upstairs than it takes to go downstairs. I realized there were other manufacturers, but Bruno doesn't advertise on TV, so I didn't know who they were. If they advertise on TV, then more people would probably see it. And maybe if they were on the same insurance that I'm on, they get paid for nothing just like I did.

I have a degenerative muscle disease. It's slow, but I was getting to the point where getting to the second-floor bedroom was getting difficult. We went to Clock Mobility and the people there were very helpful. Although I have already researched chairlifts on the internet and did look at Acorn Stairlifts, I decided that I would spend a little more money and get the Bruno instead. There were two people who came out for the installation. One was more of a trainee and the other was a seasoned veteran. They were excellent and were in and out in a reasonable length of time. They answered any questions that I had, gave me a demonstration, and I was very pleased. Overall, Bruno stairlift is an excellent product and I had a pleasant experience with them.

The VA wanted me to get a stairlift for safety. They sent a guy here who did the installation of the Bruno stairlift. He worked well and he knew what he was doing. I got a straight stairlift and it fits nicely within the stairwell. Its quality is nice, too. I use it once in a while when I’m in a bad shape. If I feel bad, I use it badly. Go for Bruno.

Our grandmother is so happy with our Bruno stairlift. She has trouble moving around, specifically up and down stairs. We just moved here from New York, and she came with us. She has an entire apartment in the basement but didn’t want to have to go up and down the stairs. It’s too hard on her. Bruno was one of the better rated brands on the internet. Their rep was helpful and very nice. The sales visit went really well. He told us he would be able to get it in within one day. We thought this was gonna be like a really long process. He had to reschedule once, but once he came in, he got it installed within just a couple of hours. The stairlift doesn’t take away from the way my stairs look into the basement. The build quality was rock solid. It is 100% worth the cost. My husband is very impressed with it, and he said it more than justifies the cost. I would definitely recommend Bruno.

The salesperson who came here was very accommodating and knowledgeable, and he really sold us on the Bruno stairlift. The installation team was good, friendly, and did their job well. We have a stairway that has a landing and then it continues up. So we have two chairs and two stairlifts. It was less expensive that way than going with the custom built. We got the straight stairlift and we’re very pleased. It’s working well. We like that it kinda folds up out of the way very quietly. Also, it certainly made Violet lift a lot easier. She was really struggling to get up.

My back surgeries were successful because it took my pain away, but it left me with very weak legs. One time, I even fell backward down the basement steps, so that's why I purchased the stairlift. I was very impressed with Bruno when I saw their videos online, and their pictures looked well-made. And they are also made in the USA. They offered two different models and I got the elite because of its 400-pound capacity. Not only I can use it to go up and down basement steps, but I can also put items on my lap going up and down. I can even put a 50-pound bag of salt for the water softener in my lap, and then take it down. I feel blessed that I can afford it, but it's sad to say there are people out there that need one and they can't afford it. It'd be wonderful if the stairlift was about 1/3 of the cost.

Marietta Mobility is the dealer and Josh, the owner of the company, was the fellow that installed it. You just can't beat that combination that if a person has any questions, the person that installs them sure has all the answers. It couldn't be any better. He did a beautiful job and there was no mess when it was done. He was the first one to take the maiden voyage and then he had me try it. We also have this fancy glass door at the top of our basement and we wanted to be able to close that. And Josh adjusted the supports where my feet are plantec nice on the kitchen floor and then I swivel around when the chair comes up. Also, we can close that basement door when the chair is not being used.

The way the Bruno rep presented himself was good, and the options that they had for the chair sounded good as well. We got a straight stairlift. It’s a little compact, but it works good if you needed it. The installation team who came out knew what they were doing. They were professional looking and they got the stuff done. They showed us how to work the stairlift and gave Andrew a ride on it, and they left. Overall, Bruno's crew were compassionate, and they understand how the elderly and physically impaired people are. The stairlift’s quality is good. I like it. Andrew drives it up and down, and he uses the remote to take his laundry down, and it works good for him. Then I installed some handrails at the top, so when he gets to the top, he can get into the rail.

I broke my leg in four places and I can’t walk anymore. I was in the market for a stairlift and the sales visit was fine. 101 Mobility has an office here while everybody else was from out of state. They explained everything. We set up an appointment for the installation and then my son in-law took care of when they came and put it in. I got a stairlift that curve twice and it fits as well as it can and also doesn’t interfere with anything. The stairlift is functional and very good but I’ve got two little problems with it that I’m waiting on the professional installers to resolve. One is with the remote control as an empty seat won’t come downstairs. Also, the left armrest won’t stay up, which may just require some screwdriver adjustment.

The Bruno stairlift took my breath away at first because when one has a straight stairway, it’s not very expensive. But when a couple of curves are added to it, it really bounces the price up. But having the stairlift means I can go upstairs in the bed and the shower. Otherwise, I’d be living downstairs and I don't like to bathe in the kitchen sink any more. I’m satisfied with the stairlift and I would recommend it. If you’re in need of one of those, call 101 Mobility and talk to them.

We went to see the dealer, looked at his thing and talked to him about the stairlift. We ended up getting two straight stairlifts. The installation went fine except that one part he sent was defective and we had to wait a while until he got the new part to install the second one. But everything is working fine now. After my surgery which I'm recovering from, the Bruno stairlift makes me able to get up and down stairs easily, however, we're using the stairlift more as a dumbwaiter than a stairlift.

I live alone and I do my laundry myself. My laundry is in the basement and I like to go down there and do some quilting too. However, I'm unable to take a step without aid of either a walker or a cane. I'm really handicapped and so I needed a stairlift. I got one from Bruno, and now, when I get down to my basement, I can do what I have to do and ride back up and not be all out of breath. Getting the stairlift was a lot of money but I needed it.

My cousin is a carpenter and he did the preliminary carpentry work for me. He did the widening of the staircase down in the basement and that eliminated some of the pre-steps to installing the stairlift. We then got a pleasant and helpful fellow over here for the installation. He explained what to do and how to use it. And it all worked out really fine. The chair is a little wide but I leave it in its sitting position because nobody else is using the staircase anyway. But if there were other people here, then I would have to fold it up so they could go down.

Having the stairlift now, I like that I don't have to walk and I'm not exhausted when I get down to my basement. I used to throw my washing down in a bag and then I would go down, and by the time I get down the steps, I was exhausted and couldn't breathe again. I had to sit down before I could proceed to the washing machine. But it's easier now. I get to ride down and a ride up. My only concern was getting in the chair backwards. I didn't like that idea with the staircase behind me going down. I asked the fellow who installed it if I could miss the chair and he assured me that I couldn't miss it. Then after the first time I did it, I was satisfied. It's safe and smooth. The seams where the rail is put together make some noise when I go down and at first I thought that it was stopping or malfunctioning. Nevertheless, now that I'm used to the sound, it doesn't scare me anymore. I don't hesitate to use it.

The sales visit from Bruno was very pleasant. We got the straight stairlift and I'm so upset with it. The reps came out once and checked the rail and looked at the switch. They said it wasn't a good switch so they had to replace it. A lot of people have trouble with the switch, so I'm very upset that Bruno would even sell it because it's another $100 to get a better switch. I don’t think Bruno should be selling it in the first place.

I've never purchased anything especially in that money range but the stairlift broke down within days of having it and they came out within the week and did fiddle around with it. But within days, it would stop. Bruno was gonna charge me $196 to come out. I'm gonna have them come out and look at the stairlift for the second time because it has completely stopped working going down. The battery pack is no use. The stairlift will just decide to stop and start whenever it feels like it.

The gentleman that put it in knew what he was doing and it was no big deal for him to get it in.

Hopefully, it will last for years. It made getting upstairs a lot easier so it makes life a bit easier for one who has trouble walking. It feels very nice getting to the top of the stairs. Once it gets to the last step on top, it turns to squiggles into the hallway. Overall, our experience with Bruno went very smoothly from the minute they called, then when the salesman came out and the installation, and that's all one can ask for when buying something.

I had two wonderful people install it and though I had some problems with it, they got it worked out. The bottom part of the product didn't have a piece on it, so it went in to the carpet. It cut the rails up a little bit which made it not work, but that has now been taken care of. The stairlift is also in the way of the stairwell a bit, down to the bottom, but we're working around it. All in all, Bruno had some bugs to work out but once they got those fixed, it would be very nice. The stairlift works excellently.

My wife was having trouble making it upstairs. Initially, I wanted to get the Harmar Pinnacle stairlift for her and Bruno was the second choice. The stairlifts from Bruno were a little wider than the one I wanted. I also looked at two Brunos and at the time, I thought I needed a retractable end piece. But, the one with the retractable or folding rail stops when you get a third of the way up. Then on the way down, you come down, stop, and start again. The end piece then reclines to the bottom position so that it wouldn't be in the way of anybody. But if it is stored, the end piece is up. With Pinnacle, you go straight up and down and it doesn't stop, so I like it.

A big selling feature of Bruno Stairlifts, though, is that I can find lots of people to work on the stairlift and that to me is important. With the others like the Standish, you had to have a Standish dealer work on it and nobody else would. I did a lot of searching as well and decided Bruno was the best. When their sales reps came, it was great. They explained everything and gave us a price. Then when I finally decided to buy, they held on to the same price. Since having the stairlift, I have no complaints given that I complain a lot. It turned out that the part of the rail that sticks out is only about 12 inches. It's not a problem because it’s not a regular walkway which I originally thought that it would be that's why I was looking at the stairlift with the folding rail. Bruno Stairlifts are the best out there. It made my wife's life a lot better.

My father’s very weak and we’re very concerned about him travelling up and down the stairs. We decided to use a stairlift to try to keep him safer. We decided to go with Bruno after looking at reviews and ratings. It's also a local family-owned company and we really like that. Their rep was also very knowledgeable and helpful. It's a good experience and it made mom feel good.

We got the straight indoor stairlift with 14 steps and the installation guy was a little old hillbilly like us. We had a big time having him. I picked on him and he picked on me. I’m kind of a gearhead at heart so I told him I wanna learn about these things so I can kinda keep track of it and make sure it’s where it needs to be and any problems, I can try to fix before I had to call them. So he was very helpful with that.

It took three hours for the installation to get completed. I wish the stairlift is a little thinner, but it’s one of the thinnest ones when it’s up against the wall. But if it’s at the bottom of the stairs, it’s no problem. The top of the stairs, it’s a little crowded. But it’s nothing major. Also as the installer was assembling the stairlift I wondered why they do that on the power cord. The transformer needs to be not in the middle of the cord because when you’re trying to meet up and kinda hide it along the wall, you’ve got a nice little cord and then also you got this great big block which you gotta fasten to the wall. Why can't you have a neat little cord going from the outlet to the unit and then have that transformer mounted to the rail somewhere? That way, when you’re trying to make it nice and neat, you don’t have this three-inch square block sticking out on the side of the wall. It just makes a neater finish.

One thing that was also kind of surprising but I understand why it’s there, is where the rail goes down and touches the bottom floor, if you’ve got hardwood, then there will be some movement on that and it will have it chew up that part of the floor. Create some sort of a pad, a block or something, so that when it sits down there on that, it still got its support that it needs. I understand the reason for it, so it’s not sliding back and forth, but just some sort of a decorative end that goes on the bottom part when it sits on that bottom floor. It needs to be something that’s smaller, like a two-inch decorative piece of aluminum that sits down there, and that way it’s not specifically riding on the wood. But other than that, I love it. I would recommend Bruno Stairlift

The combination of these two things makes it very difficult for him to get up and down the stairs in our house. But our Bruno stairlift seems to be a big help to my husband. It was provided through the VA. They chose Bruno and they have a contract with the company the put the stairlift in. First, the people from the VA came and took measurements. And then the company that installed it came and made the stairlift fit for what we needed it for and for where it needed to go in our house. Shortly afterward, the stairlift was brought here to the house and two gentlemen came and installed it. It was pretty simple. The installers were allowed two hours but the installation took around a little less than that.

They stairlift seems pretty sturdy and we haven't had any problems with it at this point. It's also been a godsend because we were debating about taking a room downstairs, making it his room and putting the expense of having to put the bathroom and everything and tearing the house apart to accommodate him. But with the stairlift, it's nicer that he can go up to his own room. The stairlift makes it a little bit easier. And sometimes when I'm carrying larger things trying to squeeze through and there's a little bit of an inconvenience, the stairlift lifts the seat and so does the foot part. But when I'm carrying a large basket, I kinda have to maneuver around the stairlift a little bit.

They got it done in just a couple of hours. Our steps are really narrow and if they had been narrower, they couldn't have put that in and I would have been really upset. I am glad that the chair turns as I've had three spinal fusions and all this problem comes from my back. When it comes up to the top of the steps, I don't have to get up facing left or right, it turns so I can face straight out. That makes it a lot easier for me to get up with my walker.

The thing that's awkward for me is where my feet have to go back when I'm going up or down and sit on that metal part underneath there. It's kind of hard for me to do that. But then on one knee, I've had five knee surgeries too so it just could be me and I managed to do okay with it. Other than that, I've been very happy with the stairlift. We just moved up here a couple of months ago, and they say in the winter time they have a lot of power outage when the storm comes off the lake up here. I heard that Bruno was the best so I opted for their stairlift, and I'm very satisfied with my experience. I dealt with Mobility Concepts in Seattle and they were friendly and knowledgeable. The installation also went very well. We had to have the stairlift inspected and it had to be able to do 5000 pounds up my stairs, and it passed. Having the stairlift now, I can use it for a lot of things. If I don't ride in it, I can have it take my laundry or things up and down my steps or whatever I need to do.

I'm 81 and I was having trouble with my hips. I had trouble getting up the stairs, like I had to come up one at a time, to advance every step with my left side 'cause my right knee wouldn't let me. I thought that in time that was gonna raise Cain with my left hip and it would cause damage. I saw Bruno and just checked with them and we went from there. The sales visit went fine. Their sales reps were as honest as anybody were gonna be. They were helpful and down-to-earth. The installation of the stairlift didn't take that long. I had a straight track and there was nothing they had to work around. So far, the stairlift is working fine. I am impressed by the fact that it was made in this country. Also, it was made not too far away from the store and that I could get repairs in a short time. I would recommend them.

We selected a company for a stairlift purchase and their team came. They measured everything and they knew what they were doing. Then they came back, showed up on time, and installed the Bruno stairlift in a timely fashion. They explained everything and did a good job. They were also friendly and very professional. We are happy with their services. We got a curved stairlift and it fits into the stairwell reasonably, but I wish it was a little more compact. Still, it works and that's convenient. The quality seems to be good too. Now, it's a lot easier for my wife who doesn't have very good mobility to get up and down the steps and the stairlift gives her that freedom. She’s happy with the Bruno stairlift.

We have a two-story home and the bedrooms and the only bath are on the second floor. My brother lives here in the house with me. He had a major surgery and he was in the hospital and rehab for four months. I was very concerned about how he would able to manage because there was a point where the thought of him being able to do the stairs was not even fathomable. When he was in rehab, it was suggested that a stairlift would be a great thing. But I wasn't sure because I wanted him to be able to continue to exercise and to use the muscles in his legs. Also, the house is older and the stairlift was something that I wasn't sure I was comfortable putting in given the integrity of the house. But I got over that pretty quickly. The most important thing was for my brother to be able to have as much accessibility to the house as possible and that he would be safe and have some comfort in doing that.

Close to the time when my brother was finally able to come home, I contacted a company and they came out to do measurements and talked to me about the project but I wasn't sure. I saw an ad for Bruno in the back of an AARP magazine. I contacted them from the get-go and I was more comfortable with how they handled my request, concerns, and questions. They said they didn't really need to have somebody come out to do the measurements unless I was gonna do a wrap around. When a gentleman came out, he was very nice and knowledgeable about what he was doing. What he said made sense combined with the fact that the Bruno was made in the USA and it was a little less costly than the other company.

The day before my brother came home, a gentleman came out. He was, again, a total pro, knew what he was doing, understood the reason for it and understood the situation that I was in and the caregiver situation. He did a great job. I was told me to expect about six hours of installation but he got it done in four and a half hours. And it wasn't that he was rushing. It took us 10 minutes to go through the operation. I did two separate straight lifts. On the small landing, my brother transfers from one chair to the other which he is able to do. The stairlift is a godsend and I'm very happy with the Bruno product. I'm very happy with Mediquip too, the people that do it here in this area.

There are, however, a couple of things that are particular to our situation and my brother's learning and some of his restrictions and his movements. One, when my brother turns the chair to either transfer from one to the other or to get out of the chair upstairs to his walker and if the chair's not turned back right away, the beeping puts me over the edge. That's just because being with him in the hospital and in rehab for so long, the beeps and the noises, push me over the edge. And it's not always real easy for him to turn the chair around. We don't do anything too quickly anymore. It could be 20 minutes, 30 minutes, or 40 minutes and I tell my brother that I need to turn the chair because the noise is making me crazy.

The other thing is that when you do put the seat up, it's pretty hard to do so. Maybe there's a metal disc and that might be a magnet to the base. I think it's a safety feature but it's a little heavy. Another thing I noticed is the foot base. My brother tries to kick it down with his feet and he doesn't have that range of motion to really lift his leg up quite high enough to catch the edge of that footrest and get it down. But he learned that he really needs to kinda push it down with his hands as fast as possible.

Other than those, I am very pleased with the entire experience and I've told other people about it. I was very concerned if the product was going to work for my brother and if he was going to be happy about it. But the stairlift works for him, he is happy with it and it makes his life and my life easier because I'm not having to help him up the steps, walk behind him, grab onto him, and worry that he's gonna fall. All of those things that we had been dealing with, the stairlift has at least eliminated them from my day in and day out concerns which is huge.

I have a two-story house and I have problems getting upstairs. I kept falling down the stairs and I messed up my back and my legs. I had a number of surgeries and I had a kidney transplant. I almost messed up the organ when I fell the last time. I couldn’t afford to move into a single story house so a stairlift was a definite need. The visit by the stairlift provider was very smooth. A guy came, took pictures, and made all the measurements. It wasn’t bad at all and it worked out well. But with the installers, I had one problem where they did a little damage to my stairs. It took about several hours for them to put the stairlift together. They had to drill through the stairs to put the rails up, but the area that was not a part of the stairs seemed like someone made a mistake. Maybe the drill came off and it hit other areas of the stairs. Even so, I left it alone.

The Bruno stairlift seems very good quality and I like that it seems very dependable. It has made my life a little more easier because I never knew when I was gonna lose my balance going down the stairs. It also has got some speed to get me upstairs and down the stairs, especially when someone rings my buzzer since I can’t get down the stairs just like that. It met my expectation and the durability is great. It’s a plus for me and I’ve been pleased. I also talked about the stairlift to those who were thinking about finding homes ‘cause they had two-story homes. They have no bedrooms downstairs and they can’t get upstairs. So, I have recommend Bruno to other people.

I was getting to a point in my age where coming up and down the steps is getting hard. We decided on a lift instead of finding a different place to live. Bruno was in our area and we figured that a provider from here would be better than somebody from out of town if we needed anything done. The Bruno reps were very nice young people and they did a good job of taking care of everything. We got the straight up and down stairlift which has 12 steps as well as a landing at the bottom and at the top. It took them about two hours altogether to install it and then they showed us how everything worked. Thereafter, they gave us a number to call if we needed anything. Since then, the stairlift has done exactly what I want it to do and I like it.

He made me feel comfortable when he was demonstrating how to use the stairlift and told me to call him anytime. Since getting the stairlift, having the remote control for it has been my favorite. If the stairlift is downstairs, I can push the remote and it will come up. Having it also helps me because at times, I go outside and get so tired. When I come home, it's nice to not have to walk up the steps. Overall, I'd recommend this stairlift.

My husband and I have a whole bunch of people right around us went with Bruno and they all love it. So, we didn’t look any further than them. Everything was perfect with the sales rep and the installation went beautifully and the installer was very nice. It's a lot of money for us as we are both retired, but it was something that we really needed because we both have COPD.

Our stairway is straight from bottom to top and we have the stairlift that you manually pull down and put up. We have a little glitch in it when we manually operate the bottom piece. The chair bumps twice and makes a noise coming down and going up. It's a little annoying but it's not a huge deal. Also, we have very narrow little stairs and we're both short. It's fine but we're thinking about taking the railing out. If anybody really tall comes, they would have to walk up and down because there wouldn’t be a ramp for their knees. Other than those, we love the stairlift. It really has revolutionized our going up and down.

We looked at several stairlift providers online. We spoke with one company and decided that theirs wasn’t up to what we wanted in a stairlift. They were good, except for the planning. They said that they could stop the stairlift at the bottom where we wanted to, then they came back and it didn’t work out. With them, we would've had to tear a closet door off and reframe some of the walls, then have an open closet door that the thing could come around it and sit in the closet, which we didn’t wanna do because that would look very unattractive.

From that point, we went on to a couple different distributors for the Bruno. The company we ended up with was able to accommodate having the stairlift stop at the bottom. It stops on the step and works great. They were more flexible as to how we could plan the pass of the stairlift and where it would stop. They were very professional and kept everything nice and clean. They also went about the whole thing rather quickly. The installers took four hours to finish installing everything. They also organized to get the inspection the same day and it passed inspection right off.

However, we had an issue one time and called them. Their answering machine didn’t work at the office so we couldn’t leave a message after hours. Then when we talked to them the next day about the service issue, the lady there said they had someone call us but no one ever called. We resolved it, but we were a little bit wary about any future service on it. Other than that, the quality of the Bruno stairlift seems excellent. Having the stairlift affected my life wonderfully. It gives me a lot more freedom and I can just go up and down anytime I want to.

Doug came out and did an assessment first to decide what we needed. He was very quiet, helpful in explaining things and professional in installing the stairlift.

I delayed for it a long time, but I wish I hadn't because it has been so helpful and a very good investment. I still have to come up a couple of steps from the outside when I come home, but I can manage that because I know that once I get in the house, I could just get on the stairlift and I come up. My husband can't walk up and down the steps. The VA provided us with two Bruno stairlifts, one inside and one in the back and they're both curved. The inside stairlift is an interior curved model and the other one is outside curved. We're in a split foyer home and the inside one curves around a newel post in our foyer to go downstairs. Our stairs are narrower to go downstairs but the seat is up here when I need to walk downstairs, so it’s not a problem. The outside one doesn't curve around the newel post. It curves on the outside. Also, it has a neoprene cover for the seat and the motor which we like. Rob from 101 Mobility helped with the installation of all lifts and Kerone helped with the outside one and they’ve been fantastic.

The right arm on the inside one though had to be tightened twice now. My son-in-law tightened it. Rob who did the outside one came in and tightened the arm for me because it was very frustrating to have it fall down when my husband was trying to get in the chair. Now, I know how to do it. Bruno is a really good product and it does what it's supposed to do. My husband likes the horn and how he can rev the engine. I like the ease and I feel safe with him using the stairlift. It has a belt that we have not had to use yet but I'm glad that it's there just in case. One of the stairlifts has an open metal tooth thing as part of their rail system and I like it. It's attractive and it goes at a decent speed that I know is safe for my husband. My husband hadn't been out in the backyard for a year and, now, with the Bruno stairlift, he can do that.

My financial provider found Bruno Independent Living Aids for his father several years ago, but his father eventually died before they could get it. He remembered having researched companies and Bruno was the one he had chosen, so when I needed it, he recommended it. The one-guy company came out to do the installation. I talked to him and told him that I had to have the stairlift done immediately because I was coming home from the hospital. I had a non-weight bearing surgery. Although he doesn’t work on Saturdays and Sundays, he came out on a Saturday and installed it for me. He did it in about three hours. However, he didn’t do the thing around the banister, the last two steps at the turn, which has presented a problem for me. First, I go down the stairs and there’s a landing, then I turn and there are two steps, the elbow.

He said that the equipment would have gone all the way down to the floor, then would have turned around the banister into the living room, which would have made it less aesthetic. Also, it would have been in the way of the banister on the landing. According to him, from the end of the staircase to the landing, if we added any more with the turn, it was gonna be an extra $10,000, which I didn’t have. It was just another piece of rail. It was ridiculous. However, the quality of the stairlift is good and it’s serving me well.

Her name is Elizabeth and she was very warm and approachable. She's a listener so she understood what our needs were. She was also knowledgeable. She absolutely knew how to operate the stairlift and answered all of my questions, and I felt that she was trustworthy and had our best interests at heart.

We purchased the manual folding rail so that we could fold the stairlift out of the way since our stairs are right at the front door. What I like about it is it’s not huge and bulky. We have a decorative staircase and everybody who’s come in the house just walks right past the stairlift. They don’t even realize it’s there. My husband used it for the first time the other day and he was real pleased with it. I was happy to know that we could turn it off and put it on vacation. That was helpful as far as batteries. It’s opened up the house since now he can enjoy our upstairs as well.

The guy that installed it for us was at the store the day I stopped in for something so when he came to the house, I was already familiar with him and he was great. He listened to what we needed and removed an existing handrail. We didn’t even know he was here. He just worked quietly and steadily. I was told it could take up to three hours, but he was done in two. Like our salesperson, he was very interested in the need for the unit and how it was gonna make things better for us.

They were very clear and concise in explaining the features on the stairlift and they let us try it. The showroom where Bruno had the set up of the stailift itself so you could try it was good. The installers were terrific. They explained everything. Our straight stairlift is good and its safety features are excellent.

My wife has a foot problem and she wants to get upstairs to go to bed, so she had to get up there somehow. A Bruno stairlift provider is close to me and I called them for an estimate. They came out and they were very helpful and nice. Their price was good too. We did business with them and the sales rep was very well versed in the product as well as in the installation of it. He shared his knowledge, showed us how to work it, and it couldn't have been better. The installation was short and it went excellent. We got a straight stairlift and it's an inconvenience by virtue of the fact that it takes up space in the stairwell. But as far as things go, it’s fine and not a problem. While no one enjoys needing artificial means to get up the steps, the Bruno stairlift is a nice product. It's clean, compact and unobtrusive as possible.

So I chose them to install the stairlift. It's for my brother who weighs 400 pounds so I chose Bruno because they carry stuff for larger people. Everything bariatric cost more but the stairlift seems heavy-duty. We got a straight stairlift for outside and its installation went very well. The crew who came explained everything and showed us how to use the stairlift. My brother, who injured his leg, has been using the stairlift for two weeks now and it seems to be working for him. I called two places locally as I wanted somebody local in case it needed service. The first person had a beautiful brochure that somebody had given me, but they never called me back. The therapist at the rehab place called this person who said he didn’t do them anymore, but he recommended a guy called Scott who works at Mobility Supercenter. I also did some work on Google and it said that Bruno was one of the best. I was very pleased with the whole sales procedure. The rep was very professional and wasn’t pushy.

I have a therapist coming to the house and he was very attentive to the installation. The installer did his work very quietly and it went very well. The stairlift is a life saver. It’s very well-made and it does the job. I like the seatbelt because it holds my husband in place until I can get upstairs with him. And I like the fact that it pivots at the top of the stairs. It’s made life a lot simpler. Before, my husband was downstairs in the dining room for a couple weeks until we could get it installed, and it was horrible. Now, he’s upstairs and I can take care of everything better.

We researched about stairlifts and it showed that Bruno was more of a reliable chair in the mechanisms. A gentleman came out and gave us a price that was $2,000 more than what the Cedar Valley Mobility rep did. However, he was absolutely wonderful to work with and told us to stop at their shop and look at the stairlift. I’m a very visual person and I wanted to see what was going in the house so I went there. We got a call that my father-in-law's insurance was being cut off, so he had to get out of the assisted living, and Bruno literally worked us in the very next day. The installation crew got the straight stairlift in, showed us how it works and how to clean it, and was out within an hour.

However, the thing that concerns me is the turning of the chair. For someone who is feeble, having to bend down at the top of the stairs to turn the chairlift is a little unsettling. I would put the handles to do the chair swivel somewhere else. It’s not so much once he is sitting on it and turn, but he has to turn the chair back when getting off of it, otherwise, it won’t charge and will keep beeping. Also, when he'd get back on it, he also has to lean over. For someone who is not steady on his feet and standing at the top of the stairs leaning over, he could easily lose his balance. The stairlift was expensive too and it was something we were not planning on. But it is worth every penny and there is just no way that my father-in-law could have walked up the stairs. So far, so good.

My mother is 92 years old. She got macular degeneration and her walking is compromised. She has a lot of shaking so she was trusting me to hold her when she came down the steps. It got to a point where I got to do something. The company that I went with uses Bruno and they felt it was a quality product. While the initial sales visit was fine, the decision to buy it was done on the phone. And the gentleman who installed it was nice, very efficient, and he explained things to me. We have a straight stairlift installed for a stairwell with three flights of steps and although it's fine, I had to squeeze by to get up to the top and help my mother off the stairlift. In fact, we have our little routine where she gets on the chair on the bottom level and then I'll push it up and turn the chair around. I then have a grab bar where she could hold on to it to stand up.

Although the stairlift made a huge difference for my mother, the little platform that folds out for your feet is not designed for the people that the chair is targeting, like when she sits down to use the little pedestal that she has to put her feet on, she would have to draw her legs back but she can't. And she's not even a taller person, she's right about 5'3. So we don't use it. In addition, I wish the chair would swivel cause it's harder for my mother to get in from the living room landing since there's a banister there. But the stairlift is fine and we love it. And even though I was disappointed that it was almost $3,000 when my mother has just to go up three steps to the bathrooms and bedrooms, it's been worth it.

We got the straignt stairlift and it is closer to the wall than the Acorn.

We were very pleased with the first fellow that recommended the Bruno stairlift and that came back and installed it. A guy from another company also came and told us what he could do and we could get a refurbished one. But when he came to install it, he said it couldn’t be done, so we canceled it all. We went back with the first fellow and he put the stairlift in perfectly where we wanted it. I’m very pleased with our stairlift's quality, so is my husband. My brother-in-law has Acorn and my other sister said, “Oh, go with Acorn. It’s cheaper.” When we started to investigate, we said, “No, it was worth having the Bruno better.”

For the installation, one man came to do it and he did it all within a couple of hours. He was very efficient. I have the straight stairlift and it takes up more space than I thought it would, but it’s been working fine. It takes me up and down quicker than I can walk myself. I had trouble getting upstairs to go to the bathroom, and this stairlift has made it much easier for me to get up and down the stairs to do so. The quality of the stairlift is fine. But when I get on it, sometimes, it feels like it might be a little flimsier than what I thought it would be. It also seemed like when I’m coming down, I hear a scraping noise, like a metal against metal, although it’s barely noticeable. Other than that, I’m very happy with the Bruno stairlift. The stairlift is doing the job that I expect it to do. It is what I needed and it’s great.

I have an older parent that could not navigate stairs so, I got a stairlift and went with Bruno for their length of warranty and reputation and because they are American made and they have a feel for durability. The sales visit was very pleasant, informative, and they provided support for the information that I had been able to glean prior to the visit. The sales rep was knowledgeable, personable, and trustworthy. But he made a calculation error that caused it to be a catastrophe after four weeks.

The diagram provided to Bruno was faulty and the final unit that came in was not compatible with the space. Four inches of the door threshold were not in the design. So, seated in the chair, you couldn’t really swing around to take a lift down without banging your knees. They modified the position of the rails and then rebolted and modified the position of the power pack at the top of the stairs so the chair stopped quicker than the threshold. We also had to remove a chair rail on that section of railing because they had to move the track in order to accommodate the space. They made several modifications in order to get it to work. I was frustrated by the error but extremely pleased that a modification was provided by the installation crew.

The stairlift that was installed is curved. It's tight and the knees are a couple of inches from the wall with the rail removed while seated in the chair. It's tighter than I was hoping for. Also, because of the modification on the direction of the rail in order to get it in, I have a little stutter in transit. It should be a smooth transit from the north to the south but they’re gonna come back and take a look at it. Other than that, it functions as described and the quality is good. It allows my mother to get to a handicap bathing facility that we installed on the basement level so that she doesn’t have to crawl over a tub. In terms of that, it has been exceptional.

My father had been hospitalized at the VA hospital and they talked to us about his mobility declining. We called Acorn up and had them come out just to tell us their side of the story and what their product is. But then, when I looked online and looked at the reviews, the reviews were not good on the Acorn. With Bruno, everything that we saw about them sounded good. Their rep, James, came out and he said that he would need to do a lot of measuring. He answered the questions that I had at the time. I asked everything I could think of and he explained it. I needed to make some modifications to the house for the stairlift to fit and to travel properly when it gets to the downstairs. It’s sort of their deluxe model with the curve at the split-level house. It travels 14 stairs and then it curves around the landing and goes up to the top floor where the bedrooms are.

The installers were great but when they were getting ready to test the thing, the switch failed on it. And so, midway through its travel, it stopped. But the guys were really good. they had to take the housing off of the chairlift and diagnose it right down to the circuit board level. Our installer was on the phone with the Bruno technical support. The interesting thing is that the guy on the technical telephone line was about ready to say it was the circuit board and that they were gonna have to give up but the installer decided to try a few other things. And lo and behold, he isolated that it was a $3 switch. He pulled that switch out and the next day, they installed the switch and they found a couple of other things that they wanted to adjust. The stairlift works great and it's incredibly robust.

We had a phone consultation and their salesman, Jeremiah, was very professional. We asked him about an elevator which was way out of our price range and he wasn’t judging us at all. I thought that he wasn’t gonna go through all the pricing, but he was very professional and very nice. I wasn’t prepared to make the $18,000 purchase but he wasn’t at all condescending.

We had a straight stairlift installed and the installer had to squeeze it in. We are in an old building and it is a little bent, so he had to bend the rail. Still, he did a good job and was extra nice. However, I wish he had some Tapcon for the bottom stairs, for the cement. He didn’t have the Tapcon for the cement to finish the bottom support. He didn't have a concrete bit either. Even so, he put an extra support the next day. I’ve only had the stairlift for a month and it squeaks when it goes up and down. As it goes halfway up, sometimes it’ll go, “Thump!” Nevertheless, the quality is nice and it is good stuff. All of the parts are meld really nicely and it’s good grade steel with quality parts.

Another issue was that the cost was near triple of anybody else. Their stairlifts were at $5000 while those from the other company were at $2000. It was really hard to pull the trigger at five when the other guy was sitting there at two. I did it anyway because when you read the online stuff about the other companies, it scares the hell out of me, so it’s all about the service and the quality. My wife was hurt badly and has balance issues, I got my legs squeezed down to an inch and a quarter, so both of us need it. We live upstairs and without a stairlift, we’re gonna be trapped in years to come. What we got from Bruno helps us with everything.

My Bruno chairlift won’t hold a scooter. It let my scooter loose, dumped it in the middle of work traffic, and I could have had a 10-car pileup. On top of that, it totaled my scooter, and it was two weeks old. I went back down to where they put the chairlift on and it's clear to the top of the screw. There aren't any more screws, and it’s barely holding it now, so I brought home a totally destroyed scooter and got a lift that doesn't work. I’m crippled and the people who put the chairlift on were nice, but they don’t want anything to do with it. According to them, it isn't good for a home.

My husband had an amputation below the knee, and our bedrooms and bathroom are all upstairs. We needed to purchase a stairlift, and the sales reps from Bruno gave different options and different prices. When the installation team came, there were two of them and they installed the stairlift in no time. But we had to go out so they weren't able to demonstrate the features of the stairlift. Instead, they left a pamphlet and explained what they could before they set it up. They told us there's a remote on top, as well as at the bottom. The stairlift that was installed folds up since our stairs isn't that wide. I like that it swivels because when you go to the top, there’s one more step that we have to go through, so it’s convenient. Since having the Bruno stairlift installed, my husband has been more mobile. He’s able to get up and down the stairs.

I stayed with my daughter due to a sickness. She and her mother-in-law had a stairlift and it was so handy. I said I would need one when I went home. I'll be 88 in November, so I've rightfully needed one for quite some time. My daughter said that the stairlift was what I really needed and that it could be installed in four hours, so I told her to get in touch with the stairlift company. My daughter got on the computer and found the different ones. But Bruno is the closest one to her area, so we went with them.

The Bruno rep was a fine gentleman. The installation of my stairlift was great and it didn’t take him long at all. We got the straight stairlift and it goes from my living room to the top of the stairs. I like that it surely gets me in a hurry to where I want to go. Before the rep left, he wanted me to use the stairlift to become more familiar with it, and I did,. He was as helpful as he could be and offered assistance in the future if we needed him. The quality of the stairlift is nice and would be hard to be beaten. I've had my stairlift for four weeks now and I love it. I would highly recommend it and I've mentioned it to several of my lady friends at church who need one really bad.

My husband has to use a board to transfer from a wheelchair to a stairlift because he doesn't even have the capacity to stand. He cannot walk up the steps too. My niece went online and went with 101 Mobility. They were the ones that installed the Bruno stairlift for us. The sales rep I worked with was very informative and everything was fine during the sales visit. The installers also went over everything with me once the stairlift was totally installed. I'm very happy with the quality of the stairlift from Bruno. Since it was installed, it's now easier for my husband to get up and down the steps.

This time, I went with 101 Mobility which is the closest provider and they carry Bruno. The salesman knew what he was talking about. I got a straight stairlift and the installers put everything in one day and they got rid of the old stairlift. They did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves and everything was installed right, and it looks good. It’s a little tight but it fits. So far, it seems nice and reliable. I can get up and down the steps easier and I don’t have to worry about the power going out. My Bruno stairlift is worth the money.

I had back surgery and fell quite a few times and broke my back. It won't heal correctly because of all the heavy lifting and up and down the stairs 'cause our laundry is downstairs. I needed something to help me. I asked our family contractor that we usually use if he could put in a stairlift for me. He said that it wasn't his specialty, but he was aware of other people that had gotten stairlifts. And so, he went back to those people and asked them for the phone number of who they had used.

When Bruno's sales rep came out, he gave us an estimate and answered all the questions I had. He set everything up for the installer to come out and put it in for us. And the guy who put the stairlift in was very helpful and quick. He did it all on his own and cleaned up his mess. However, there are times when we're using the remote, the stairlift would stop halfway through going up or down the stairs. So, I just want them to come out and and see what the problem is. But other than that, the stairlift has been great because I can now run up and down the stairs as many times as I need to. And I don't have to lift anything heavy when doing so. I would highly recommend them. In fact, I have already recommended Bruno to friends and relatives.

I’m 93 years old and I am having difficulties climbing the steps and getting into my home. The difficulty was whether I’m carrying groceries or not, but it‘s really bad when I have to carry groceries. I needed a stairlift and we had to go with the seated chairlift because we couldn't use the regular one where you stand up and it lifts you up. We have a single style garage and we had to go with the seated chairlift. The two men that installed the Bruno chairlift were excellent. It was a real instance where the right hand knew what the left hand was doing and I thought that they complemented each other.

There was one thing that I didn’t like and I called Bruno and asked them to have the two men come back. They wanted to know what the problem was and I told them that I've got another inch here and they should move back the chair at least as far as it could go so that we didn’t rub the door frames when I swing it around. I’m not sure that they completely agreed with me, but they did it and they had to drill four new holes and moved the chair about an inch. Then we had a clear shot in moving the chair as much as we could under the circumstances as it existed at my home. We were crowded for space, just enough room to get the car in and still use the chair.

When I swung it around, so I could get out of the chair, the handle no longer rubbed. They used the available space to the maximum. They did not fail in any respect. They had an extremely limited space to work, but it fit and it worked. It goes into our garage. We get out of the car and we have a dozen steps to take to the door. The chairlift, more often than not, is on the garage level. I sit down in it and press the button. It takes us up, we put the crank down and we turn the chairlift to get out and get off the chairlift. I like it.

Bruno has an excellent quality stairlift and they have the best financing I could get. The sales reps who came out and measured things up showed me the different variations, as well as the cost of the stairlift. They were fast and efficient and explained everything well. When the installers came out, they explained what they were gonna do. They put the straight stairlift in and then showed me how the chair turns around so I would get in on the top of the steps and then explained to me how it beeps until you put it back in the right position or when there's an obstruction.

They also showed us how to grease it. When they were done, they cleaned up before they left. The stairlift fits well in my stairwell and has prevented me from falling down the stairs, which I had done several times. Also, I no longer have to walk up and down the stairs. I can take the stairlift and safely move up and down. I’ve recommended Bruno to other people.

The Bruno stairlift is awesome and it couldn't have come at a better time. My husband is 100% disabled and his cancer has already taken its toll. We have a bi-level and we have two sets of steps that you have to come up from our basement garage. He couldn't do it anymore. The VA set everything up with Bruno and it was Altmyer that installed the two straight stairlifts as we couldn't have the curved one because of the front door and the fact that there are two sets of steps in the landing. We were very pleased with Altmyer and their workers. They did a fantastic job and their installation guys were the cleanest and fastest. The quality of the Bruno stairlift is top notch. It's awesome and it has made a huge difference for my husband to be able to get from the upstairs down to the vehicles. He doesn’t have to struggle anymore. He just pops on there and takes a ride.

I had to get my dad out of assisted living, so I decided to purchase a stairlift. I looked on the internet and I saw a stairlift dealer that had been in business for a while. Bruno stairlifts was what they sold, so that was what I bought from them and the price was right. That was a great company to work with. During the sales visit, the owner of the company came out and one of his assistants measured and showed me all the stuff. The assistant also told me about the installation of the stairlift and the scheduled date for it, which fit in with my schedule well because I was in a hurry and had to get the installation done in less than a month.

The installation experience was good and the installer did a hell of a job. After installing the stairlift, this young guy ran me through how it works and what to look for if it doesn’t work and when we have trouble with it. We had a straight, indoor stairlift installed and it's great how well it fits into our stairwell. I have a bunch of steps going in and out of the front door so that wasn’t an option. Our stairlift is in the basement, near the basement stairs, and I take my dad out through the garage. The laundry is downstairs in the basement, so I have to use the stairs there quite a bit, but the stairlift fits in there nicely and tightly and I can fold everything up and still get by and carry stuff up and down the steps. Also, our stairlift has a remote and I can pull it upstairs or from upstairs without having to go down or up to do that. That saves me time and it's what I like most about our stairlift.

When my dad first used the stairlift, he wasn’t sure what to do with it, but he liked it as soon as he realized that he didn’t have to tackle a bunch of stairs. I never have him by himself on the stairs since he doesn’t have good balance so I’m scared of him falling if he doesn’t have some assistance. But as much as I can, I let him try to use the stairlift by himself. I would definitely recommend Bruno. I had a totally good experience and I received a good, little unit from them.

The sales rep from Bruno was very good and helpful. We got two straight stairlifts since there’s a landing aisle and it fits very well. The installation team took the time to answer questions and showed us how it works. It was a very good interaction. Quality-wise, the stairlift is good. The foot plate has a covering on the bottom and it’s a little loose but maybe it’s supposed to be that way. Otherwise, everything is working okay. My parents like their independence and it’s good. The stairlift is worth getting and it has good value. Bruno is worth looking into and I gave some of the brochures to mom and dad’s pastor because she was asking about something like that for the church.

My son needed a stairlift. One company came here first and they told me that they would gladly put a stairlift in but that I would have to move a wall over because it didn’t have room enough to let it come down to the floor in the basement. I contacted Bruno and they've taken care of me when I called. They said that they would just put the rail high enough so that the chair would sit down where it's supposed to.

There are seven steps from the basement up to our foyer, then we have to turn and go up. We got two chairs instead of a curved stairlift 'cause there's a door for outside right there. The installers did a good job. At that time, I needed to have boxes of things and I had a room enough to get the mount that the guy had delivered and the installers were careful to make sure that they'd fit. The installers did it exactly as I wanted and did it as quickly as possible. My son uses the stairlift every day and it is working well. The remote units work well and the lift is quiet and fast. Each will carry 400 pounds, whereas some of the other ones are just 350 or less. I've had a good experience with Bruno and I’ve already recommended them.
