I can't walk and I moved into a condo where my bedroom is upstairs. I can either eat or I can live upstairs. But if I wanna cook and eat and sleep, I need to be able to get up and down the stairs. I called Bruno and they recommended a chairlift when they saw the space I had. They measured first and I saw that they knew what I needed to have. I have animals and they're up and down the stairs and Bruno was telling me this particular chairlift has cover over the chain and it prevents the hairs from clogging up going up and down. They said that for me this was the best fit and they gave me the amount it would be. Then, once the chairlift was installed, they had me get in it and go up and talked me through everything. They made sure I was comfortable with it and knew how to work the remote. They were very nice and very friendly. They're very good to have here.

The smoothness of the chairlift is wonderful and it's nice that they could put the rail that comes all the way down to extend it because if I couldn’t pull the rail up, I would have trouble around the front door. Also, everything falls back against the wall so nicely. It's very good quality and it has made getting up or down the stairs so much easier. Plus, it's giving me access to my bedroom. I thought at first I would be afraid riding up and down, but I'm really not. I feel very safe. I would most certainly recommend them to a friend.

My wife has advanced Parkinson’s and was having trouble with the stairs. Bruno was introduced to me and they're a good company. The guy came and he had a brochure. He talked about various things and the aspects of the machine. I thought about it for a day or two and then ordered it. He put the order in and a while later, he came and he did photographs and sent it off. Then, he sent me the plan of how it was gonna go and there were detailed measurements. I looked at it and thought it was not gonna work and I phoned him. He came over and he pointed out some things to me. Then, we went to the showroom and he had it set up. I looked at it and I realized that I had not taken something into account. I changed my mind and decided it was tight, but it was gonna work.

In the showroom, my wife took a ride on theirs and loved it and thought it was just great. So, in the end, he ordered it and they installed it. All of the safety features are good. It’ll shut off if it encounters an obstacle. It works on a battery, but the battery itself charges when you plug it in. We keep it plugged in. It’s a very comfortable seat. My wife gets a bit of a charge out of it. It works well. It folds up out of the way pretty much when we’re not using it. It does beep a lot but we’re getting used to all the beeping and it’s not a big problem. We simply put it back in the run position. Also, I’m pretty impressed with the technology. The installer said that they should come back once a year and do a little oiling and I’ve made a note to myself to get them to do that. We like the chairlift a lot. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it and I would certainly recommend their product to anybody.

I moved my mother in with me so I purchased a stairlift from Bruno. I went with them because I had them before. My experience with their sales rep was good and he explained everything really well. The installation went well too. It went really smooth and they were on time. However, I'd like the bottom half to be automatic when it comes down to the bottom so it’s not blocking the walkway. But it’s good. It works well and I’ve always been happy with it. I'm very satisfied.

A stairlift is my only way of getting down the basement because I have shoulder surgery. I looked in the phonebook and called Stannah. They came out but they couldn’t do it at all. It was too narrow. Then, I called Bruno and they came out. Fortunately, they were able to put it in and the measurements were okay. The sales rep was extremely helpful and the installer was very good. The man even removed his shoes because he saw that the steps had been newly painted. I really appreciated that. The stairlift is perfect. It’s my way of getting to the basement and I love it. I tell people it’s the best money I ever spent. It enabled me to stay in my home and recover. I highly recommend it.

When our Bruno Stairlift comes up, it hits pretty hard n the top rack. Despite this issue, we've had a good experience with the company. Their rep did a good job during the sales visit and their installers thereafter were really good too. We were having a hard time getting up and down the steps and getting the stairlift has made it much easier for me to get up and down. I highly recommend them.

My mom can’t walk up and down the steps and the Bruno stairlift was awesome. The gentleman who came with the young man shared his experience and the joy he got out of installing these things to help people get up and down the steps and move around. He was good. Once they laid the pieces out, and got all the pieces laid out and the stuff set up, it took them no time to put it in. We had an experience where we couldn’t figure out why it was beeping and I called the gentleman back, and found out there wasn’t no life on the battery. He determined that it might be something with our electricity and we figured it out without having come back out.

My father-in-law is wheelchair-bound and he couldn’t do the steps. It was very hard for him and we wanted him to be able to come. We’re Jewish and Shabbat is the one day a week that we’ll spend together. He loves to come to us and we built a bedroom for him. He needs 22 steps to get in and he wasn’t able to do it. So, we were going to him but he was a half hour away from us, which was too much for my little ones to walk in the middle of the night. So, we purchased the Bruno and this way, he can come without doing the steps. He came one week and it was really good. It was amazing that he was able to come up without climbing all of our steps. The experience has been good so far.

We dealt with Westchester Stairlift and they were very nice. The stairlift came a week later than expected. There were some extenuating circumstances that couldn’t be helped but once they had it, it was installed and we were very happy. I just wish it wouldn’t be so expensive. We have another four steps, but it was too expensive to do the whole thing, so we just did the big thing and my husband carries my father-in-law up the four steps.

A couple years ago, I was in a nursing home and I had to have a stairlift installed in my breezeway. My wife bought me a Bruno, so I bought her one, too. Bruno's rep came in and put it in. He was very nice, polite, professional and clean. On the day of the installation, he came right on time and he finished it when he said he would. Then there was a demonstration on how to operate it but having one before that, I knew how they worked. The stairlift has been perfect ever since and it has helped my wife a lot. I got her the straight one and I like that with it, she doesn’t have to walk up and down the stairs again. It’s nice, quiet, and reliable. The quality is excellent, too. I’ve also had a few problems with the one outside and Bruno's rep came and installed it right away. We had a very good experience with him.

I’ve got arthritis real bad and I’ve had both knees replaced. I fell in December and messed up my left knee and I wasn’t able to bend it. I was in a brace for six weeks and then it was another four weeks of trying to heal it. After I got to where I could walk, I found out that the fall had messed up my back too, so I ended up having to have back surgery. Later during Memorial weekend, I fell and cut my right knee open real bad. I hadn't been able to go up my stairs since the 15th of December. We had thought about getting a stairlift before, and I decided to go ahead and get one from Bruno. I had checked out a couple of places, and I went to Mobility of Chattanooga, Tennessee. They had a big step where you could check the stairlift out to see how it worked, and I liked the fact that it folded up like it does. The lady was wonderful. She explained everything and every question I had, she answered it.

I like our Bruno stairlift. It works out really well. It was getting harder getting up and down the steps but now, both my wife and I can get up and down the steps on hot days. I'm happy with the stairlift and I would tell anybody about Bruno. When the representative initially came out, he looked at the steps. I told him what we thought that we wanted and he agreed. We have switchback stairs so we needed two short runs – a seven-stair run to get to a platform and then another one on the other side of the platform to go to the second floor. We have a stair without the exterior wall. It’s basically an open stairwell so he agreed that was the best way to do it. Once you get to the first landing, you just stand up, take a step, turn around and then sit on the second chairlift and go up to the second floor. He said it would also be easier to get the pieces ordered if we did it that way.

We also looked at an elevator that would go from the dining room to the bedroom because we had a break to the second-floor floor. It was wheelchair accessible but it was $20,000. So we decided that the stairlift was really a lot cheaper. The Bruno rep also happened to have a used stairlift that he just took back and a new one. So we were able to save money that way. For the installation, two guys came, carried everything in, set up and went to work real quickly.

They knew exactly what they were doing. One went to the second floor and started installing that one. They were in and out of here in about two hours. Everything is pretty cut and dry because they were just straight runs then I had that piece on the bottom in the living room that you can pull off. You take the chair off, put it to the top and then lift it up. It’s just on the first step. They also showed me how all the buttons worked. We have four buttons to go up and down plus the buttons on the chair. It’s pretty simple and I also have their book to go over. If I have any questions, I can look it up in the book or give them a call.

I'm old. I have bad knees and I can’t make steps. I decided to buy a stairlift and the man from Bruno in Winsford came up and did all the measuring. It was really terrific and he was the nicest guy I wanna meet. Since I live in a bi-level house wherein I go up six, seven steps and then up another seven, I got a curved stairlift from them. The man who measured came back and put the stairlift in in about three hours and it was no mess. Now, I can go up and down on the lift and it really saves me a lot of pain. I'd tell others about Bruno.

Climbing the stairs became a problem for us as we got older. We have friend who used Bruno's stairlift and they found it very satisfactory. We decided we’d follow suit and their sales rep was very good. He measured our stairs up, told us what the stairlift was gonna cost and when they could put it in. We got an indoor, straight stairlift from them and the crew that came to install it was very nice. We had to add a process where we can lift the arm up at the bottom because it stuck out into the walkway too much. Even so, it was very convenient and the crew knew how to solve the issue. Thus far, the stairlift works well and it gets us up and down.

We needed to make a decision about the stairlift, and we decided that that was the way we needed to go for our house. We stopped by Bruno because they were highly recommended in the area. They came out nearly immediately, within a day, to assess the viability. The sales manager was able to describe the differences between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, and then suggested that the indoor unit was gonna be just fine. They came back and said, “You’re perfectly good. This is the way it’s gonna look.” Within a couple of days, they had the standard unit out there. The installation was excellent. They allowed me to watch while they installed it so I knew some of the idiosyncrasies. If anything were to go wrong in the future, I’d know what to do. It was an expert installation, and we’re 100% satisfied. It can’t get any better than that.

The good thing about it is that it perfectly satisfied our needs. We initially thought we actually had to take down a door and move it about 2 feet so there would be a landing area for the patient at the top of the stairs. But we were told that the seat twisted 90 degrees so it was very simple for the person to get out of the chair at the top of the stairs without any danger if they hang onto a walker there. That was a very pleasant surprise because otherwise, it was gonna be quite expensive to move the door. The only thing was they give you two remotes but only one hanger for the remote and that’s a $5 item. It would be nice to have a second hanger for the remote so that would be in an obvious simple place at the top of the stairs. We have one at the bottom of the stairs but not at the top.

Other than that, we’re very pleased. We recommended Bruno to others. Some people have come over and taken a look and said, “I didn’t know they were this simple and don’t take up as much space.” They collapse and fold back. It’s somewhat of an awareness program that we went through nicely with the Bruno people. And certainly, it’d be helpful to the Bruno people to put it on their website to advertise it.

The stairs are too hard for me. I’m alone and I’m using a cane or walker. I had a chair going downstairs in my house for about eight years and I had to have it removed because my laundry room is downstairs and I needed a new washer and dryer. So the chair and the rail had to be removed in order to get the new washer and dryer in. I’m also having a difficult time going upstairs in my house so my son had Bruno look at the stairway at the time. My house is older so the stairways are narrower. They determined what I could use and gave me a price. They were very accommodating. The people from the sales visit were excellent.

I’ve had the same two technicians come out two different times – I needed the battery changed once – and I can’t say enough about them. They were very courteous and really efficient. It took a couple of hours to have the stairlift installed but I thought it would take longer than it did. But when the stairlift gets to the top of the stairs, it makes a little sound, almost like a little plunk. My chair going downstairs doesn’t do that. But that was a more costly chair and the representatives from Bruno had told me it would make a little noise. My big concern was having the chair go down because the hallway at the bottom of the stairs is not real large. So they put in a retractable track and that works real well. I don’t have to have it extending below the last step. All in all, I would recommend Bruno.

My previous chair was much better for me. It had more padding on it, but it probably wouldn’t last as long as the one from Bruno. But the chair from Bruno is too big for me. The arms of the chair are far away from my sides. So when I get up to the top of the stairs, I have to spread my arms out and put as much pressure as I could on the arms to give me strength. It’s not a good safe feeling for me. The arms of the Bruno chair is so thick, and it’s plastic and not padded like the other one that I had. Also, the seat is very shallow. It seems as if you’re gonna fall out from it. And for the legs, you can barely get your feet on them.

If I’m downstairs and I want to bring the chair down to me, it makes quite a noise coming down. It doesn’t seem very secure. But when I’m sitting on it and I’m coming down, it’s all right. Also, instead of having something you can really put your hand on to swing yourself around when you’re sitting in it, this is just a rod. And I have to use my feet to get myself turned around. My previous chair had a paddle, and it was very easy. But overall, I’m satisfied with the way the Bruno chair runs.

The reps came and they were very polite and helpful. They answered any questions I had. The big selling point was that the stairlift was made in the United States. I got a straight one and because I have a very old house and the staircase is not as wide, it fit perfectly. The installers did a great job. All in all, I had a very pleasant experience with them.

I had no luck with the stairlift I bought before. It was only $4,500 and the whole thing broke down. I had it for two years and I had nothing but trouble with it. I also couldn’t reach the owners. I couldn’t even reach where they were established. It sounded like a fly-by-night institution. Many times, I had to walk up 17 steps to my apartment, which I am really not capable of doing. I have very bad knees and I had to hold on to the railing to pull myself up. That happened for four weeks. So I was really in agony. My son told me to get the Bruno like I had heard about once and for all. He pointed out that because I didn’t wanna spend that money, now I was gonna have to spend twice as much money by getting a Bruno.

I got a straight stairlift and I've had certain questions about how it is performing. I hear all these clicking sounds when I go up or down and I’m afraid it’s going to break down. So I was gonna call the fellows who installed it, Jeremy and Julian. I have their number. When I first complained about that, Jeremy, the second in command to Julian, told me that it was because they would have to leave certain little sections apart. So that when the weather changes and the unit heats up from the weather, it has a little room to expand. That’s why it makes those sounds. But I’m not sure about that. It’s doesn’t sound good. It's kind of alarming.

The seat is strange too and sometimes, I don’t feel quite secure on it. I have to really hang on when I’m going up or down because it rocks back and forth too much. I also do not have the green light that’s supposed to go on when it’s recharging. But the people who installed it helped me as much as they could. They were just wonderful people. They were very nice, very well-mannered, helpful and very personable. They needed a new part many times and they had to wait for it. But it wasn’t their fault. it was just something that was necessary.

We went to North Georgia Mobility's office, and I like the people that I dealt with there. They had a real nice office and they had all this literature on the Bruno. They explained it to us, and it had a good guarantee. We liked the presentation that Tracy did. So we went with them. When the service fellow came out to install the stairlift, he seemed to really know his business. He took time to explain how it worked and installed two different motions. So, if it was downstairs and you wanted it up, we could bring it up, or if I go downstairs and then if my husband needs it, he can mash the little transmitter, and it comes back up to him. We like that feature. We were well-pleased with the service.

We’ve been well-pleased in the short time we’ve had the stairlift. My husband uses it every time he has to go downstairs in our basement. I've also used it myself when I took a fall a couple of weeks ago. So, we really have enjoyed that. It’s a smooth ride up and down the stairs. I also like the seat. It is good looking and easy to keep clean. I’ve already recommended Bruno to somebody. They didn’t need one right now, but they were talking about it when they were here. And I highly recommended Bruno to them if they needed it or they knew someone else that needed it.

They also showed me how to reach down and pull the lever up to turn my chair. I have the curved stairlift and when it makes its turn, I kinda feel like I’m on a roller coaster because it starts up slow. It is a good and smooth ride. I'm 82 and my husband is 85, and we both have issues off and on with walking. The time is going to come when we're gonna have major issues. We live in a two-story house and we didn't wanna move. When there's no more coming in other than social security, the cost of a stairlift is high but it is cheaper than moving and living an assisted living.

Someone had told me that Bruno was the best and I really didn't know if it was or wasn't. But when I called Acorn and asked where prices started because we're on a limited income, the man yelled at me and said, "$5,000!" It was attitude and that just turned me off right there. I realized they're not cheap, but I didn't want them to yell at me either.

I called Bruno and a young man, Billy, came to the house and went through it. We did a lot of this on the computer and went back and forth. Billy answered every question and he was very gracious. It didn't matter what time I called him or he called here. We became friends over this whole transaction. We had an easy relationship. It was very comfortable. He is a very personable young man and I would recommend him highly.

My husband wanted to make sure we didn't have any termite problems before they put this in. We didn't wanna take it out if we have problems so we had to do that first. Billy let me know if he had a problem about changing dates and whatnot and took care of that. Then they came out and did it in one day. They told us what to do and how to do it, which I promptly forgot. I had to call him and asked him to come back out. I realized what I was doing wrong as soon as he showed me what I was doing wrong. I said, "Well, now, do you want me to throw away your phone number?" He said no in case I needed him again.

Everything's fine 'till we get to the top. If you're going up the stairs, you have a railing. You get to the part where the second floor is the ceiling then creates a problem because you have the banister that comes out into the stairwell. The stairlift narrows it down. Other than that, it's fine. We park it at the top primarily because I don't want either one of us falling down. I want us to know where it is every time too. Even though that's the narrowest part of the stairway, it's still the best place for it to be parked for us. We can't have it permanently on the floor. It has the full back up, but it still sticks out. The first time the great-grandkids came over, I put a fence around it so that they could see it. I didn't want them to trip on there.

We've already recommended Bruno and I'm looking forward to staying here in our home. The stairlift is also wonderful for taking the laundry up and down. I've learned to pull the laundry basket behind me like a toy. My husband would take it up two steps at a time and lay it on the step on the stairs. The stairlift is wonderful 'cause I haven't figured out a way to pick things up that are on a hanger. On a different note, something that Bruno might think about doing is the CD that Acorn sent. It was really great to show you what it does, how you do it and so forth. Bruno doesn't do anything like that and I really relied on that CD to learn about Bruno.

My experience with Bruno has been real good. I'm satisfied with it. My son guided me towards Bruno and the rep answered all the questions that we had. Everything went real nice during the installation. There was no mess. It didn’t take them any time hardly. I kinda thought it’d take a couple of days but it was just a couple of hours. They showed me how it worked too. I got on it and went through it. I also have the manual. It’s just a matter of sitting down and pushing the button and I’m up or down here. So, it works great. The stairlift is straight from the basement up to the kitchen area and it fits really well. It works good for me. Bruno has made my life much better. I was having problems with my knees going up and down the steps. Eventually I would get up there, but it’s nice to sit down and push the button and up or down you go. I really enjoy it. I would recommend Bruno.

We got the straight stairlift and we had a minor misunderstanding on which side of the steps we wanted it on. So they had to come back and measure again, but it worked out fine. The ride has been smooth and the stairlift is doing very well.

Their rep was a friendly sort of a person and he seemed to know what he was doing. The installation was very quick and complete. For my staircase, the stairlift is a little bit of a problem, but not bad. The stairlift could be a little smaller, but I don't know how they'd go about doing it 'cause mine's a curved staircase. Other than that, it's a very good product so far.

My husband is a 100% service-connected disabled and that's how we got the Bruno lift. But we had gotten in an accident where a young lady rear-ended us and tore it up. We were lucky enough that it was just the lift. He didn't have his chair on there. And our insurance company paid for the lift and we had it fixed. We wanted the same thing that he had on the vehicle when we got it. I've seen some of the other lifts and from the ones we've seen, the one that's made up there looks to be the best. The Veterans handled the first one. They had sent it to the Ewell equipment company, who were the ones that put it all. They're very fantastic with veterans too. They really helped in everything.

So I just called and asked them what I needed to do and they told me. They ordered the lift for us and he put on the second one. We went with that rep. I figured he could help me better because he's a dealer and he's done it all for me. And they were very good. The rep is a very good man. He helps veterans as much as possible. He said that Bruno was one of the top deals, and that if you want a good one, that's what you would need to get. So we have a new one now and Bruno is a great lift.

The lift has made my husband to where he can go, get out and do things because he has an electric chair and he rides on the lift. If he wanted to go somewhere, he can get on it and go. You pull it up then it'll lift up. When you let it down, it'll come back. When you get the chair off of there, it'll get off and fold up. I'm hoping my husband would get to use it until he passes on.

My mother-in-law came to stay with us and she had back surgery. But she’s not completely crippled. She can walk around but the stairs could be a problem with her. She’s 82 years old. So I put a chairlift in for her. She has used it for the last three weeks and she loves it. I think she’s gonna buy one for her house in the Florida Keys. We also got a seatbelt that she did not use, but she’s up and down. She’s sitting up in a chair and she could just step off into the stairs if she wants. It's also very easy to operate for someone who’s not mechanically inclined. She was up and down those stairs before you knew it. The chair is also comfortable. My mother-in-law is not a big woman. She’s small and she fit in there. The chairlift works for her and it works for me. Maybe some of these days I’ll need it too. I don’t know.

I also like the way the Bruno stairlift turned out. If my mother-in-law stood up and lost her balance, she would fall back into the chair. That's the way it is arranged at my particular house. The chairlift also folds up wherever it is, either at the top or the bottom. But there is plenty of room and there's no problem leaving it open at the top or the bottom. I can get by either way. I also like the way the rail is positioned on my steps as opposed to Acorn and all the other ones that are flat. The rail is upright plus if the chair comes to a standstill anywhere on the stairs, it can still charge. The other ones only have their home, where they'd be able to charge, either at the top or the bottom and if they're not home, the battery will run down and the chair won’t be any good.

The Bruno sales representative was great too. He was one of the owners and he took interest here. He’s from the area and we had a lot in common. Plus he did a better job than the other ones. He’s more interested in the things made in the USA and Bruno had a lot more purchase points that got me over to them instead of Acorn. The installer and I are also both veterans and we had a lot in common. He came and put the stairlift in, and he knew what he was doing. We talked, and he gave me all the information I needed and answered all my questions that I needed to ask him. He was very polite and professional. He was a service person also.

My wife broke her back and she's in extensive rehab. And when she comes back home, I said that she probably would have a very difficult time ascending or descending the stairs. So, I installed a stairlift. We live in Vermont and the only stairlift provider within a 100-mile radius that I could figure out is the Bruno in about 25 miles in Richmond, Vermont. The rep came, showed me what he could do and why this particular model seemed to be appropriate for our needs. He installed two of them - one from the basement to the kitchen and one for the kitchen to upstairs. He did them both in an afternoon and he was efficient and did a very good job.

The stairlifts work well. They go up and down stairs and don’t dump you out. When you get to the top of the stairs, you can swivel and get out easily. And it's important that it faces the opposite wall so you don’t suffer from vertigo and you won't fall out. Also, it seems to be very sturdy. It does what it's supposed to do and as long as it continues to do what it's supposed to do, it'll be fine. I'd recommend Bruno to a friend.

I needed a stairlift, and I had one already that broke. It was not a Bruno. So, I did my research and decided that what I wanted was Bruno. I read a lot of reviews, did as much investigation as I could, and that appeared to be the best one. It was not the cheapest but it was the best one as far as I could determine. I talked to a couple of Bruno dealers, and I chose the one that I liked the best by the conversation and the questions I asked them, the availability, and the price. And I picked the company that’s been around a while, the most responsive to my questions, and decently priced. They installed the stairlift, and they did it rather well and within the time limits that they had set.

I’d recommend Bruno to a friend. I got a straight stairlift and I really like that I can get from the first floor to the second floor. Having a stairlift has become essential for me to stay in my two-story house. I like it a lot. It’s comfortable, works well, but it does have some shortcomings for me. The footrest is recessed so far back that I have a hard time keeping my feet on it as I’m going up and down the stairs. It is very difficult. We’ve had a lot of health issues come up. My husband’s been doing chemo. He wasn’t using the stairlift until recently when he had a heart attack. We’re both using it a lot. And he doesn't have the same problems with the footrest that I do. Probably because he’s a foot taller than me and his legs are a little longer.

I love the Bruno stairlift. I couldn't afford something like that, but a friend of mine took the job over and some families that I know and some friends purchased it for me. I have about 10 stairs to get up into my house, and I have neuropathy. To get into my house, I was using my basement steps and that was going well until I just couldn't get up the last step. I had to hold on to something to get up the last step into my house, and it just wasn’t working anymore. I'm over 80 years old and I really needed the stairlift so badly.

The installation of the stairlift went very well. They were very professional. I went out on the porch, and one was down at the foot of the steps and another was at the top of the steps grinning as I went up and down half a dozen times to learn how to use the stairlift. It's allowed me to go downstairs off my porch and sit outside if I want to. It's also allowed me a way to get down and I just sit on it at the foot of the steps and wait for my friend who takes me to the grocery store to come. So, it's just wonderful having it. I would recommend Bruno highly. It's a good company. I had brochures about it before I got the seat, and I'm just delighted with everything.

The stairlift is too big for my wife. But I had no problem with it at all. I use it more than she does and I love it. It has enough safety features so you feel comfortable, but not so many that you feel you gotta have an engineering degree and a booklet to run it. For what we have here, I'm very satisfied. I'm looking down the stairs here right now. It takes up probably a third of what was the open stairwell before, but it's still more than enough room to get down carrying a laundry basket or coming up with groceries like that, so it's absolutely as compact as it could be for what we wanted.

My son-in-law did all the work out in getting a stairlift, and then somebody came to see the staircase. The Bruno stairlift is a blessing because I don't have to walk the stairs. It gets me up and down the stairs without any hurting of my back.

The stairwell is kinda narrow and there is space if you keep the chair down for somebody else to walk up. If the chair is up to the sixth step or so, that's kinda narrow there for anybody to walk through. The only thing I thought would be nice if I didn't have to turn that chair on the top. I have to turn it with the handle. It doesn't turn automatically. And then when I get off, I have to turn the chair back to the right position or else, it keeps beeping. If I get off and then be in a hurry, it's gonna beep. The chair has to be turned around to a sitting position that I would get in to start it to work. But when I go up, it is facing a different wall because I am getting off on the landing. Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

They also took down a stairwell to do that. Though the straight stairlift I got sticks out a little bit more in my stairwell than I would have liked, it's okay. Overall, the stairlift is of good quality.

I can walk up the stairs safely but it's just painful so I wanted a stairlift that would make it a lot easier. We had a stairlift previously and it broke. It had to be taken apart but nobody could figure out how to fix it. My husband decided to just go with the new one which comes with warranty so we wouldn't have to worry. He looked at different stairlift providers and decided that Bruno is the best way to go. The installers came in and installed a straight stairlift indoors. They showed me how to use it. I sat in it, I went up, I came down and that was about it. I like the fact that I don't have to walk up the stairs. We've only had it a couple of months, but so far, it works the way it's supposed to and the quality is good.

The cost of Bruno stairlift was a lot of money for me. Nevertheless, it has made it easier for me to get up and down the stairs, and it's much better when I get to the top now. I have a very high second story home so at least if the power goes out, I'm not stuck. I can still walk. So far, I'm happy with what we got. Bruno reps were very pleasant and very efficient. They came in, did their job and left. Bruno stairlift has worked out for me.

We got a curved Bruno stairlift and the installation process was good. The installers knew what they were doing, and they weren't here long. I can't go up the stairs without a stairlift, and the one we had on before we got our Bruno took up most of the stairs. Our Bruno stairlift is very good. It goes up the side of the wall and allows room for people that are walking to get up the stairs.

The sales visit with Bruno was a good experience. The representative explained everything well during the sales visit and was very informative. My husband is having difficulty walking right now and is in and out of a wheelchair. So we got a curved stairlift. But the part downstairs where you pass through the walkway from the door to the kitchen is kind of narrow now because the unit sticks out a bit. Sometimes, I forget it's there and hit my leg. So it would be good if it could have been in a little more towards the stair itself. I also didn't particularly like the drilling of the holes in the carpet because if I decide to replace it, it creates a problem. So it would be good if they can find a different way to tack it down. But I guess that's to make it steady. That aside, the installers were fast and they really did a good job.

My father purchased a Bruno stairlift before he passed away and my mother has had the stairlift for several years now. Then she had a leg amputated and is not able to get into a vehicle, so we purchased a Bruno Turny Evo chair recently. We had a very good experience with the representatives and it was really efficient. They were able to get us what we wanted. They were very professional and were very accommodating when the installation took place. The car was taken to their location in A&J Mobility, and they did the install at their facility. My mother loves the chair and she's comfortable. I like that she's comfortable in it and it's so much better than sitting in a wheelchair in a van. It's nice. She used to be stuck at home or we were depending on wheelchair van services before that. So, the best part is she's able to get out and around having the chair.

Bruno's rep was wonderful. She told me that I couldn't put it on another side that I wanted it on because the chair of the stairlift was too high and it wouldn't go by that side. Also, the curved stairlift I got from them goes right to the top of the stairs and stops. I wish it would go around the top of the stairs on the side that it's on. Still, the stairlift I got from them has been wonderful. It's all padded and has a really nice chair. It gets me up and down the stairs when I couldn't before.

We also have a "park position" option for curved stairlifts that allows them to park farther away from the steps, but it does depend on the unique staircase configuration. This company did their job and I appreciate what they did. They measured perfectly and got the chairlift just so it works beautifully in our basement. They had to really work carefully too because we have a narrow space to the bottom and also at the top but they did it. I'm amazed that they were able to get that accomplished. The two guys did a beautiful job. They got in there, got the work done and were out before we even knew. They didn't bother us at all. They were very good. The straight chairlift fits into the stairwell beautifully too.

The chairlift has been marvelous for us. We had to have it because Fred is wheelchair bound and we couldn't use the front walk from having to go down steps. Now, you can get him in and out of the basement and not have to deal with the long walkway we have that goes out through this cul-de-sac. We had a little problem with the charger, which went out right after we got it, but Bruno finally came back and fixed that and we've had no problems since then. The chairlift is great. It's easy to use and manage. Especially with Fred having the handicapped situation, the chairlift has made it simple because all he has to do is push that button.

I've had a couple of knee operations and my knees don't go up and down steps so good. I heard Bruno was the best and right off the bat, I made my decision to get them. They measured all up and then they came out to install. They looked like office workers though, not mechanics. Nonetheless, I had a good experience with them. It only took them an hour to put the curved stairlift in then two hours to put the straight one in. The stairwell has a curve going up to a landing then it goes on on up, and the stairlifts fit okay.

However, I'm having trouble with the single rail stairlift. I would get down and get to about five steps from the bottom then it would go down one step and stop then go down one step and stop until I get to the bottom. Sometimes it goes the whole way down but sometimes it doesn't. It starts going down all right but it slows at about four steps down then it goes real slow. But if I'm using a remote, it runs up and down by itself okay. That aside, the quality of the stairlifts is really good and the best about them is that they take me up and down the steps.

I'm 89 and I have misgivings about going up and down the steps frequently. I decided to get a stairlift through the VA program. Three different individuals had come by to look the project over and then they submitted their bids to VA. The VA then solidified the bid with whoever they thought was the best out of the group and next thing I know, I had somebody from Bruno.

I got a straight indoors stairlift and it fits perfectly. I have a doorway and a door at the very top of the stair steps and it had to be rigged so it would function properly. The installers did a very good job. They started on time and they were clean. They demonstrated how to work the stairlift and they went through it well. I have my shower down in the basement and I shave down there, so I use the stairlift daily and it really works out well for me. The stairlift has impacted my life in a positive manner. If you feel that you need an assist to go up and down some steps for safety reasons and you are not able to bend your legs or knees, I would recommend a Bruno stairlift highly.

I have mobility problems and we had looked around and tried to move to a bungalow but we couldn't find anything affordable. The only option left was to modify our existing home and try to make it more manageable for me so I can get around. We spoke to several vendors and Bruno stairlifts were highly recommended. In addition to that, we did our own research, and people seemed to be happy with them, especially when we needed a curved one. While the straight stairlift is a little more straightforward, the custom, curved ones are more complex. And Bruno does a very good job with it.

The reps I worked with were very good about explaining everything in detail in terms of what to expect, what the process was, and how to best lay it out because we had questions in terms of which side of the stairs is the best for us. There were pros and cons of either side of it. And the person we worked with was very good at laying out what some of those pros and cons were. We felt like we were making a much more informed decision, and we wouldn't be surprised by anything.

The installation team was very careful to make sure that they weren't causing any undue damage or scratches. They were extremely cautious because we have hardwood on the main floor. And throughout the process, they were cleaning as they were doing stuff. They didn't make a total mess and wait to clean it at the very end. They were exceptionally clean.

So far, the stairlift doesn't feel rickety or jumpy. It feels solid. It's also very easy to operate and it's very smooth and relatively quiet going up and down. One thing that is annoying about the chair is the power swivel. The sound it makes is excruciatingly high-pitched and piercing. I'm particularly sensitive because I suffer from constant headaches. Even my wife finds it annoying and she has no issues at all. Other than that, it's shocking how expensive the stairlift is. Bruno is a high-quality stairlift, but the cost is still higher than what I would pay to have it. Still, I would recommend Bruno. We had some friends over and when they saw it for the first time, they were very impressed with how well it fits into the stairs, and it's not an eyesore. And it perfectly follows the design of the stairs in a good way.

Bruno was being sold at St. Mary's Pharmacy in our town and it worked out right as we do not want to go out of town if ever we need service. Moreover, we didn't shop around for price and we thought we were getting a pretty good product there so, we called them and had them do it.

John put in the stairlift and he had a good helper with him named Jeff. They were very personable and they did a really good job on it. Everything was explained well to us when the rep came here for the estimate. They also explained everything thoroughly and told us to call for any questions or maintenance so they can come back and lubricate it. I lubricated it a bit myself just to see how it worked there and it has been working perfectly. My wife and I use the stairlift and it has proven to really work well for us. We are really pleased with it and so far, we've been using it quite frequently. We're very satisfied with Bruno stairlift.

There were two guys who came and they worked together quite well until the younger guy had to leave early as he had some classes. The other guy finished it up by himself and did a good job. I purchased a Bruno stairlift and it made it easier for me to get up and down the stairs. I looked at the Bruno and the Acorn and decided they were both very good chairlifts. But in the end, I selected the Bruno. It doesn’t occupy as much of the stair. I researched the subject quite a bit, so I was familiar with the stairlift. And so, I called the company and said that I was interested. I had the dimensions of my stair, and I told them the rough size of it. The person I dealt with said they could do that with just a single stairlift. They make it in an eight-foot length. And so, I got a price, they gave me a written quote, and I decided to do it. I called them, they arranged then for it to be shipped. And once it was built, they made an appointment for people to install it to come out.

The installers were good guys. They did the job with no problem at all and it took them about two and a half hours. We had to have a permit from the city and the chairlift people arranged for that. And then an inspector had to come out when it was installed before we can use it. So, they had called an inspector and arranged for him to be here at noon. They came about 9:00, and got it installed. The inspector came, inspected it, checked it out, operated it, and he signed the slip and then he put tags in on the chairlift with a number on it, which indicates it’s been inspected. I was satisfied with dealing with Bruno. They were very upfront with price, explained everything, and the installation went very well. I would deal with them again.

I share the household with my mother-in-law and for her to get up and down the stairs, I got her a stairlift from Bruno. Initially, I went with a different company and about a week to 10 days before I was due to move in and the installation date was set up, the company called me and said that they were going out of business and I had to find another company and they will refund me. When I asked them how long will it take to get a permit, they told me it will take at least two weeks. I asked them if we can transfer it over since we were a week away from installation. I was then told that they never ordered the permit. They knew that they were not gonna be able to install it at least a week ago and they just called me with a week to 10 days left telling me that it was physically impossible to get another company in here when we were ready to move in.

They were really sorry about it and I told them that they didn’t wanna make the call so they left me high and dry. I asked them who is the biggest company and they told me about one who carried the Bruno stuff. So, I called the lady there and explained what happened. I said that they cannot make miracles but my 81-year-old mother-in-law will either be stuck in her room or try to hobble up and down two large staircases to get in and out of the house. They said that they will get it done as soon as they can and they will order the permit that time. They took what was an absolutely horrendous experience with my first stairlift company and they did the best they could to get it in as quickly as they could. They also kept me informed each step of the way. But, it was beyond their control that we were stuck without a stairlift for an extra week and a half.

They did everything they could to make sure that it was done quickly. The installation went smoothly. All that worked out great and were on time when they said they were gonna be here. However, the real crapper of the whole thing was after I switched to the company that I used, it ended up costing me a few hundred dollars less than the company I thought I was getting a bargain with that went out of business. Bruno was absolutely top-notch and at a really good price. I didn’t feel like I overpaid. Moreover, I had two stair climbers installed because I’m in a three-story unit. One of them would go down but it would not go up. It was in for a couple of weeks and then it quit working. We used the remote control and it worked but the switch in the armrest wouldn’t work.

So, they came out and it turned out it was a motherboard inside of it. Throughout that, their people never left me in the dark. They said that they would order a complete board circuit and it was gonna take a bit. They kept me posted each step of the way and I never felt like I needed to call them and ask what was going on with my order. The service gal who I talked to was just fantastic. She was more concerned about me waiting on stuff than I was at times. Overall, my experience with Bruno was excellent.

My husband has had some medical issues where he is very weak and he is not able to go upstairs any longer at this point. The Bruno stairlift was offered through ThedaCare at Home, which is a home nursing and home equipment, durable medical equipment service that our local medical organization has. I called ThedaCare at Home and asked about the stairlift and the rep told me to call a certain number and ask for Ryan. I did that and Ryan happened to be at the building when I called. I talked with him, and he said he would come up to take a look, which he did. He showed me some pictures and gave me a brochure.

I was just gonna buy stairlift, but then we talked about a second stairway that I had. It was the full stairway that goes up to a second level, and he gave me a deal. If I ordered both stairlifts right away, I could save several hundreds of dollars with them having having to come out once, and it would be the same labor. So I told him to put it in. They came out about two days later and installed the stairlifts and showed me how to work it. It's been working ever since, and my husband uses it every day.

The only thing that we weren't excited about or know about was when the chair gets to the bottom of the stairlift rails, it doesn't turn all the way. It just keeps facing one direction because it hits the bumper. It's the bottom of the rail. The component of the chair doesn't allow it to turn outward. When my husband gets to the top of the stairs, then he's got full 180 degrees. He rides up sideways, and when he gets to the top, he pushes a lever and the chair turns, and he's got full access to the room, where when he goes down the steps to the bottom. He can only turn that chair just a very little bit, and then it bumps the bottom of the railing. But manages very well. It's just we thought it would swivel a little more. But it's not a problem. My husband can easily get on and off, and he's got room.

The remotes are great. I use the stairlift all the time for myself to assist me in getting items up and down the stairs. It's quiet and rises very smoothly. It tucks away nicely. It doesn't attach to the wall. I was very happy to know about that, and that if there would be a time when we'd have to remove it, we could easily do that and it wouldn't leave major marks or holes on the wall. It's just the holes that are in the carpet holding it to the stairs. The stairlift has been wonderful. It works like a charm.

I got the straight stairlift and it fits on our stairwell. The team that did the installation was here for 45 minutes and then they were gone. The stairlift has been good so far. It's adequate for what we need and I'm satisfied.

My wife could no longer climb the stairs very easily because of her illnesses. So, we decided to put in a chairlift. She does very well with it, and I use it some of the time myself. We’ve had it now since sometime in December and we haven’t had any problems with it. We bought it from a company in Rochester. We had to have the extension of the track installed because it comes down into an area that’s near the front door and we don’t want anybody to fall over it. So, we had to have that installed as part of the deal and it works okay. The cost is a little high but we’re satisfied with it.

I did quite a bit of research and a whole bunch of factors such as design, dimensions, sizes of things, and quality level made me decide to go with Bruno. The rep came twice although I’m not too local to their office and it’s a good hour and a half drive from their office to where I am. He came down once and went over stuff with me, answered questions, and checked everything out. Then, when I decided to purchase the stairlift, he came back a second time to do the photography and the measurements.

I got a straight Elan lift from my lower level to the first floor, then a curved Elite lift to the second floor. Two guys came to install both lifts. They were here for five hours and they did a great job. It was very workmanlike and neat. The Elan lift is more basic as it's just a straight ride with simpler chair and system. The curved one, on the other hand, is really very nice. The chair is very plush and comfortable. It’s quiet, smooth and fast too. So, I’m very happy with it. The new stairlifts' impact on my life has been very positive. It's nice to know that they're there and available when I wanna use them which is fairly often. Overall, my experience with Bruno was very good.

My husband fell and broke his leg. He has a rod from the knee to the hip and there is no way for him to go up 13 steps. Fortunately, somebody suggested that we get a stairlift and that I can get it through the VA. The VA got three estimates and they picked Mobility who then put in Bruno. When I told my daughter that the stairlift is Bruno, she said that it is one of the best ones so I was glad.

The customer service is terrific and the person who installed it is the nicest kid. He was efficient and I don't know how much better he could've installed it. We also got the ramp. It's all aluminum and it goes 27 feet down from where my kitchen is. It impressed me so much what this boy did and Bruno should be impressed too. He didn't fool around, did it quickly and cleaned up. He was perfect.

The stairlift has been a blessing for me and my husband. I have to use it too 'cause I couldn't walk. It's working beautifully and we're very grateful to have it. Also, the features are very good. I could do it myself with the arm gadget or somebody could push the button and bring it up while they're at the head of the steps. It's also very sturdy and it does a great job.

I use the Bruno stairlift daily and I can’t imagine going on without it. I was quite sick for a while, and I didn’t know how I was gonna keep going up and down the stairs. I was trying to get up the stairs and I was caught grasping on to the railing and dragging myself up. It was not a good situation. So, I contacted the Department of Veterans Affairs to see if they could do anything so that I could remain in the house. They came and gave me an assessment, and then they contacted a couple of outfits, wherein Bruno was one of them.

I was quite happy with the choice of going with Bruno. I’ve heard stories about another outfit, too, and I was told that if I had a choice between the two, Bruno would have been the best one to pick. I like being that way. It took quite a while to get the stairlift in place, because somehow, somebody got the ball, and wasn’t doing anything until I started making some phone calls. But once they got here, the stairlift was installed in one day, and I was quite happy with that. The crew that put it in were excellent. Once the stairlift was installed, the crew went through everything and told me what all the lights stand for, and also told me about the fuses.

The Bruno stairlift is a very sturdy item. I’m never worried about anything going wrong with it, including the railing. It’s very well put together. There were times where I was thinking that if I didn’t have the stairlift, I wouldn’t be doing this and that. I was sick to the point where if I got home and brought up a couple of bags of groceries, I had to sit down in a chair to get my strength back. I was just winded. But the Bruno stairlift made all difference in the world, plus my wife uses it as well. I would definitely recommend them.

It was a little tricky ‘cause getting it outta the stairs and out through the house without damaging any part of the house took some doing. But they were very careful and respectful of our home. Everything about the install was extremely professional and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. I appreciated all their efforts in trying to make sure that they didn’t stink up the house with chemicals when they put it in ‘cause I was worried about that. There was some residual of something for about a day or two, but that was it so everything was fine.

I'm a wheelchair user and it was challenging to make the transfer to the stairlift because the seat is not as wide and I’m not as strong as I used to be. But then when I finally got brakes on both of my chairs, it got a lot easier. That made a big difference. It’s not that deep, but I’m getting used to it. It rides smoothly and it’s obviously slower going down than going up. It’s been a great assurance to know that it would work even if the power went out considering the weather we’ve had. The swivel is great and that has helped too. Overall, I’m pleased with the stairlift and I’d definitely recommend Bruno.

My mobility has been impaired by some operations, which affected the nerves in my feet and my balance. So going up and down the stairs from the first to the second floor of our house became pretty difficult, if not, impossible. We went with one local stairlift firm in the Dallas area who tried three times to install a different system. The manufacturing was done in Europe and they failed three times. They kept making mistakes with the measurements that were taken in order to manufacture the chairlift and install.

So finally, with this first vendor, we agreed that it was best if they just simply refunded our money and we would look elsewhere, which we did. We found 101 Mobility, a local firm, who deals with Bruno and the owner after evaluating our situation recommended the Bruno system and ordered it. It came out and we installed it and there’s been no problem since. That owner was very effective, understands the products well and made the right recommendation.

The installation team didn’t have any trouble installing the system and got it done in about four hours. It went extremely smoothly as compared with the higher three abortive installations that we’ve done with the prior vendor. The stairlift also turned out to be aesthetically much more pleasing than the first one we contracted for. It has a track at the bottom. It’s made of a very heavy-gauge steel and likely has a weight limit on the chair that’s much higher than any of the other systems that we looked at. It's a high-quality product and likely to last a good long time.

Bruno came through the Department of Veterans Affairs. I told them what I wanted and that was what I got. The installation took a bit. The two original installers moved their original equipment to put the stairlift in. They said it was their first time to install that particular piece of equipment. They left a box of parts behind then they came over the next day and completed it.

However, that night, the stairlift died so I had to make a phone call. I couldn't just call and say, “It’s broke. Come fix it.” I gotta call the VA and it was like politics. I went through four or five people before getting to the person to tell me that Bruno would come and have that fixed. I was really angry. I explained it to them just as much as the way I explained it when I asked that first person and pissed everybody off. The next person who came back was really congenial. The next day, I had a gentleman came over and fixed it. So I know now the way to handles the VA, I have to be forceful to get anything done. I got post-traumatic stress, so when I threaten them, they'd go, “He’s gonna go off, so we better do something.” I shouldn’t have to do that, but I’ve been dealing with them for 50 years and I know how it works.

After the guy came over and finished it up, there was another little glitch. I told the guy and he came back, went through the whole thing and made sure everything was up tightly, and we haven’t had any problem with the stairlift since. The system works great. I’ve had two in here before and this third one is the Cadillac. Its seat is more comfortable and the whole system is superior. I’m very happy with Bruno. Even the guys that really didn’t know what they were doing tried very hard. They only made one mistake, and that’s not bringing the equipment. But they acted professionally, courteous, clean, and were congenial. Then the last technician that came in had more experience with that equipment, and he finished it right up. He was very well-mannered. Nice people.

Also, we have two turns in our staircase, so the stairlift we were getting needed to turn two times. We went with Bruno and we were happy with our experience with them. The provider that we used installed the stairlift very quickly and seemed to be very efficient. It was expensive but it seems like a quality product. It was $12,000 to install it. I expected that it would be relatively expensive because we have two landings on our staircase so it was not as straightforward as some people's stairways would be. Still, the one we got is sturdy and runs smoothly.

We had one issue, though. My father doesn't live here with me all the time, but he was coming for the weekend. But something was wrong with the stairlift. It wouldn't move. This was on a Friday, and he was coming on Saturday. We called Bruno trying to get someone to service it and their rep just gave us the names of some people, most of whom didn't respond, said they couldn't come on a weekend. It was an emergency.

I was a little disappointed in that aspect of the customer service. They should have an on-call person that can service it on the weekend. The firm we bought it from and who installed it, never responded to us when we told them it doesn't work. They finally got back to us Tuesday of next week which I found to be troublesome. The stairlift was new and it was a month old. But the way it was installed, it was tripping the automatic safety shut-off. Some bracket was put in a way that when it moved, it shuts off the automatic safety shut-off.

We got the lift in a timely manner. Their tech Mike, who was very polite, took a lot of time and had to do laser customization going up the stairway. The lift fits the stairway really well. Now, my dad is able to do the steps when he couldn't before.

My mom and my dad are in their 80s. My dad has complained to me that the thing he liked the least about getting old is that he couldn’t get bathed as often as he would like to. And the reason he couldn’t do that is because the sole bathroom was on the second floor. With all the things my dad did for me in life, I wanted to give him a little payback. I invested in a chairlift so he could ride it up and down the stairs and get bathed as often as he wanted. Also, I knew that my mother would be shortly behind him in having the same mobility problems.

We went to the internet and did the usual. The one that was being advertised over here on the television and radio was Acorn. As we researched that, we discovered that they’re not a very reputable company. There was a local company here that we came up with and we heard that it was a family-owned company and they had a very good system. They were also very reputable. So I called them and that was Bruno.

They gave a father-and-son deal and they did exactly what they said they were gonna do on the days and times they said they were gonna do it. They stood behind their product. John, the installer, trained my father on it and did not leave my dad’s home until everybody was comfortable using it and understood how it operated. He was very polite.

The first time he went to look and measure, he introduced himself to my dad. And the way he handled himself was very nice. Not only that but after he installed that chair, my father and mother didn’t want me to pay for it. But he kept it as a secret and he didn’t say anything to them. And then, he went outside with myself and I went to square up with him and he said Bruno figured out that we could save a few bucks on this. He sold it to me cheaper than he had quoted because it was easier to install than he thought it might be. That was very helpful. My parents called me up several times and said the chairlift is great and that this is a wonderful thing I did for them. They’re both using it now.

I have emphysema and I have a hard time walking 10 feet. The last time I went and had a check-up, I was told to get a stair service. I'm VA and after seven months, I found somebody to give me a good price and come and look at it. The stairlift that I got is from Bruno and it was installed in less than five hours. I asked the installers questions that I had as they were going and they showed me how to operate the unit. They also gave me a little booklet and showed me where to look to see the codes if I was having problems. They told me to call if I was having any problems. They would ask me to give them the code and they would tell me if they need to come out or if the problem is something that I could do.

So far, the unit is working fine and I haven't had problems using it. I have a remote downstairs and on the second floor. I can get in the stairlift and go down. It has a nice and smooth operation except for a couple of places where the steel rail gets a little bumpy. I've had a stairlift before and this unit exceeds the operational deals of the other one. At the bottom of the stairs, this unit will turn around a little wing wall out of the way. Then, when it gets up on the second floor, there’s a little wing wall again and the unit would turn and get out of the way so that people can go and they would not have to worry about running into it. My son and his wife love this unit.

My wife has severe back problems and we worked through a country agency that took two different bids, and apparently, the bid that won used Bruno. The sales reps we worked with were very helpful and professional. And even though we had some ideas as to the type of stairlift we were looking for, they helped and guide us.

The stairlift that was installed is curved, and it went from one level to a landing, and then curved around the handrail and then came to a second level. While it works well, we had the installers come back and extend it, so that when the seat was in a stored position, it wasn’t blocking the stairway. We had them add about four feet on so that helped. It took them initially two hours to install it and during the demonstration, they were very thorough. They went through everything. Since the stairlift was installed, my wife can now go up and down the stairs without being in a lot of pain. The seat is very comfortable and it works great. The stairlift is very quiet too.

The particular individual company that I dealt with went with Bruno. I prefer Bruno over the other particular brand because it's a stronger unit. I'm a one-legged individual and I had the unit installed in my vehicle. I let the individual company that installed the unit interact with Bruno. But I had them ask Bruno a few questions before they ordered it because I wanted to be sure that it could function in a certain way. They satisfactory passed on the information to me, and that was when I told them that I wanted to go with it. The electric motors of Bruno have more power. The other unit that I had, when it lifted my power wheelchair in, was dragging it real slow. The installers also had to weld the other unit that I have because it was breaking. The Bruno lift seemed to lift the chair faster and if you’re out in the rain, you wanna get that chair in your truck as fast as possible. Overall, Bruno stairlift has been fantastic.

Then once he got the climber in and up here, the job took him one day. It’s a two-story one. So it goes seven steps, makes a 180-degree turn and then goes up another seven steps. The stairlift was installed well (12/21/15) and worked well up until 1/30/19. Then a call was made to GAMBURD (who installed the unit) for service. The service technicians fixed the lift, but the bill was $1092.00. This is very expensive for a retired couple on a fixed income. We have only gone up and down about 50 times since it was installed. We only bought it in anticipation of my wife's limited mobility, but she really hasn't needed it yet.

We were charged for a new PC board ($768.00) and 2 switches. I find it hard to believe that the quality of the lift is so poor that it would fail after such low usage. PC boards should be repaired and reused. We should only be charged for a repaired board instead of a new one. The switches must be low quality to go out after such low usage. Businesses can handle such high charges, but retired people cannot. Special consideration should be given to home installations. I hope this review causes a rethinking of repair charges to home installations.

He showed us what the stairlift would look like and told us all about it. We were very happy with the sales experience. Then the installers came and put the stairlift in. They demonstrated how it was gonna work and then they were gone. It is curved and it fits great in our stairwell.

We had two stairlifts before where we had to go up one set of stairs and then get off and get on the other set of stairs. But with our Bruno stairlift, you get on it and it takes you straight up to the top of the stairs. It makes it easier for my husband to come all the way up the second floor without transferring from stairlift to stairlift. Then he gets off and he’s in the apartment. It’s great for him. The quality of the Bruno stairlift is wonderful and I even use it.

I had been thinking about getting a stairlift for quite some time and then I thought I would do it before I fall. I have to go down my basement steps in order to get to my garage, to my car, so I did it to be safe. I called Bruno and they explained everything. They also gave me a pamphlet so that I could read up on it.

The installation didn’t take them long at all. In an hour and a half, they had the stairlift in. It comes from my upstairs to my basement then I have a service door there. That’s how I get to my car. My garage is an underground garage. And so far, so good. The stairlift is serving my purpose. When I do go down or come up the steps, I find that I’m not out of breath anymore. So it helps me that way. So far, everything is going smoothly. I would even recommend Bruno to a friend. In fact, I have already told several people about it and there have been several people who have come here, used it and said, “Oh, how nice.”

I have numerous emails reporting malfunctions, many with the installer who referred me to Bruno. Lift now stuck in mid-range because I got stuck in it for 2 hours waiting for a neighbor to come home to get a ladder and let me out. The installer and Bruno now want me to pay for a technician to come out and fix a problem despite the fact that the lift has not worked properly since installation. The top of the mechanical box was never put on properly as it is askew. Mechanic's oil was spilled on my steps and concrete and not cleaned up. Screws and screw holes are rusty. Why do I have to pay for a technician to come fix a problem that has not been resolved since installation? I certify that this review is based on my own experience and is my opinion of this business.

I assisted in getting them up and down the steps, although they can do the steps completely by themselves. I had used Bruno for a funeral at our church. We already had contact with the company and we knew the idea of paying for the stairlift and then if a person pass, it can go back to the company. I was there on the day of the installation as well as the scheduling to set the chair up and the tech was wonderful. He told me what he needed and we just sat there while he did the work. They got the straight type and it fits perfectly within the stairwell. The remote piece of it is fabulous.

The sisters use the chair lift most of the time then when they had to go to the bathroom really quick, it was like, "I gotta go." Even the one sister likes to put the laundry on it. I feel that she appreciates the chair much more because of a bit of extra effort on her part as she is the one doing all the work, so it has really made a difference. It gives them a moment to not have to be as busy. Marie has short-term dementia and when we got the chair, we were nervous that she wasn’t gonna adjust, but she has been amazing. I appreciate that Bruno went over everything and there is the security of knowing that it will still work. If it’s not locked into place, it’s not gonna go, and that in itself is huge. There’s also battery back-up. Hopefully, the sisters won't be using it in the dark.

My wife had a knee replacement surgery and we still wanted to use our upstairs. When she had her hands full going up and down the stairs, it increased the potential for a fall or losing your balance. Getting a stairlift seemed like a good thing to do as we were getting a little older and so, we did it. We shopped around and I researched on the internet. A lot of the comments on the frontpage of Acorn Stairlift weren’t nice. People were saying that they were good at advertising and selling but not that great at following through with the service and things of this nature. We live in the Rochester, New York area and went to two different spots. We saw three different types of chairlifts and I came back and checked more on the computer. Bruno’s reputation and things that I saw in there were stellar so, I went with them.

The installation experience couldn’t have been better. The gal came out, got some measurements and helped make decision about any additional features we might benefit from. She didn’t get here until 6:30 at night since ours was the sixth one she has sold that day. The guy who installed it did it all in a matter of four hours and it was done very well. They were both very patient and cooperative. They went out of their ways to make sure that we knew how to use it and understand how it functions.

Since we’ve had the stairlift, it has helped a lot in getting the laundry up and down the stairs as well as other things. We sit in the chair and take it up or bring it down rather than try to navigate the stairs. One time, my wife didn’t use it and three steps from the bottom while carrying something, she lost her balance. That was a reminder that the chairlift was there for a purpose and better use it. We’ve had the Bruno stairlift for four months and it’s working great. It’s doing its job, serving its purpose and so, it is a win-win situation.

It took only a few days later for him to schedule the installers and they were done in a couple of hours. The installation was done well and efficiently. The chair seems to be working quite well but the stair seat doesn’t stay up properly at the top of the stairs. We just put the seatbelt on there and that keeps it from flopping back down.

The owner of the local franchise was marvelous. He was very knowledgeable, offered me several options and explained the product clearly. He had all the answers to my questions and volunteered information but didn’t try to hard sell or pressure to buy his product. Some of the other companies were harassing me and following up with a million phone calls and emails. He knew that his product was good and answered my questions. I had a lot of confidence in his competence. He talked to me about the maintenance and follow-up services which was what I was looking for. He was very good.

My brother had a stroke and was paralyzed. He’s in a wheelchair. We have a two-story house with the bedrooms upstairs and the chairlift has made it possible for him to get out of the assisted living situation and move back home. So, it has made a big difference. You can hold it there for long as you want to, but they won't ever move. Then you gotta let off of it and maybe do that once or twice to get it to ever go, and it may get part of the way up and just quit. And then, you gotta let off and hit it again to make it go again. I don't know what's going on with it. But I'm sure that I can call Bruno, and they can come out here and straighten it out for me.

It’s a 400-lb one with a bigger seat and a bigger base. The function is great and it’s convenient for a lot of things.

But upon riding the thing, it’s quiet, but if you put small things on it, when it goes up it makes sounds like someone’s grinding. When I told them it was making this noise first and they came out, they thought it was just some wire vibrating or something. They were here pretty fast and they looked at it. They were gonna order some parts but it was almost a month ago and now we’ve been waiting and nothing. They never got back and I’m kinda disappointed. I’m worried about it something’s going to be wrong in the future because of that noise. Also, my wife noticed down the steps, when you hold the remote down, it almost flicker to get it to stop. There's one of the buttons to push it again and it doesn’t work, but you’re within 10 feet of it, so I don’t know why that happens. Other than the machine itself, the operation is perfect. The Bruno stairlift has allowed me to stay in the house and I would recommend them. I have a balance problem, Charcot-Marie-Tooth and macular degeneration. So, I have a drop foot and climbing stairs is difficult. I have two Bruno stairlifts and they fit very well into the stairwell. The installer did a good job and had everything done in two hours. He works for the Fire Department and he does this in his spare time for the store. We have a little more of a problem in the basement because the stairs are a little narrower but it works okay and folds up. I like the new one a little better because it slows up when you reach the end and I wish it was on the old one.

The VA got a Bruno stairlift for me because I was having a very hard time walking upstairs. The installation team was very nice. They came in and did what they had to do. The stairlift helped me a lot and I didn’t have any problem with it. But at one time after it has been put in for so many months, it just stopped working. So, I finally called them and they came right out and fixed it. Their service was very good. I was very satisfied with them.

My car is garaged at the basement and in order to get to it, I had to walk in this big and long stairs which was steep. In the wintertime, it was dangerous and the stairlift was the solution to take care of my need. The best thing the VA ever did was give me that stairlift because I was struggling to get up and down those steps and then going down the sidewalk. So, it was a lifesaver. They got a straight stairlift for me that goes straight down to the basement. The company that installed it was great but they had to come back once. It started beeping and it was another plug that goes into the power pack. It came loose and they followed up with it.

The quality of the stairlift is good and I don’t have any problems with it. It was built solid and got all the features I need for my age at 80 years old. It’s a little cramped within the stairwell but it works good. It was a challenge for me to go anywhere and the Bruno stairlift made a 180-degree impact on my life. I'm not afraid to get on it and my wife who is a little older than I am uses it too. I also like the elevator idea. When I bring the car in and I have to unload the car, I can just lock away and put the stuff on the chair and then send it up. It makes it twice as better.

I purchased a Bruno stairlift while my husband was in the hospital. It goes up one flight and then curves around and goes up about five steps. It’s straight and then it’s curved a little bit, and then it’s up a few steps. The stairlift's installation went well and the installers who did it were pleasant and cooperative. They were very nice too. And while I wasn't pleased that it took longer to get the stairlift than I thought it would, we managed so everything's fine. I like my Bruno stairlift.

So I had a problem, and we decided we were gonna put a chair lift in. The sales visit from Bruno was very good. Everything was fine. They were very informative, and the price was right. We got a straight stairlift that goes up seven stairs. It fits our stairwell very well. We also bought the thing that pulls up out of the way. And so that was very nice and we’re very happy with it.

The installation team was very informative. They were very clean. They cleaned everything up and they were outta here in less than four hours because it was very straightforward. After they put it in, they showed me how to run it, and everything’s been fine. After the surgery, I was upstairs here for almost five weeks. I could get down, but I had to have help to get back up. But with the stairlift now, it’s so much easier up and down stairs, and even my wife uses it. I’m very happy with the product.

My husband and I are both disabled veterans. He is on the verge of losing his right leg and he probably should have had it amputated a year ago but he's a typical man. He is bullheaded. It was a service-related injury which happened during his time in the coast guard. The VA came in and they got him a stairlift. When the gentleman came out to do the measurements, he could not have been nicer and he was delightful. We have a rescue dog that is extremely skittish, very protective and blind. She remembered him. All he had to do was say, "Hi, baby," and she knew exactly who he was. Every time she heard his voice, she followed him around. He is welcome here any time and if any time he needs fishing lures, he can stop right on out. He knows where we live and he can give us a call.

We got two straight stairlifts and the bottom of the rail folds over so that the chair comes down a little bit further. When he gets off the chair, he's on a flat surface instead of having one foot on one stair and his other foot on another stair. There were no curves in the stairway and they were both indoors. The stairlift fits into the stairwell perfectly. It’s a little narrow but my niece and I suck it up. I like that my husband can get up and down the stairs without limping and falling.

We live in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia in the town of 300 people. Also, my parents had a stroke so, I'm a caregiver for them. We live half a mile from each other and I’m back and forth between my mom's house and my house all the time. We don't have to worry about my husband falling and landing on his head on the concrete floor in the basement, and that he can get up and down the stairs without having to fall. He's on blood thinners and so, if he even so much as cut himself, he could bleed to death. To know that John is okay and that he can get up and down the stairs by himself gives me the peace of mind that that's one less thing for me to worry about. I could not recommend Bruno more. I told the folks at the VA too and they were happy to hear that. People should run and get Bruno.

Her company also gave us a better deal too as far as financially. In addition to that, I looked them up and they have good ratings, so I went with them. The sales visit went well. I did most of the stuff on the phone and we got assistance from the Kentucky River government agency. They helped us purchase the stairlift by giving us up to $3,000 on it.

The installation guy was nice. He put the straight stairlift together in my garage. He didn't take about some length of time he said it would take. Then, he explained everything, gave me the manuals and told me how to turn it off in case of a storm. So far, my wife loves it. The stairlift is comfortable and easy to maneuver. When it gets on top of the stairs and you hit the button at the bottom, it gets back down right at you. Since the stairlift was installed, I don't have to assist my wife every step going upstairs. I can help her up a couple steps until she gets in it. And then she's on her way to the top. I would recommend Bruno to anybody.

I looked up Acorn Stairlifts online and saw all kinds of bad reports. They looked flimsy and I wasn't interested in that. Then I did a search and Bruno came up, so I took a look at them and I liked what I saw. I liked the reports, the reviews, and their rating. I also liked that Bruno was a family-owned business. I believe in that kind of stuff. But I was worried that maybe they didn't have a person who installed them nearby. So I went to a local dealer and there was somebody in town who could put them in.

He came over, took a look at our place, and made some measurements. Then he asked us what we wanted on our stairlift because there were some add-ons. I told him what we needed and he told me what the price would be for that. Then he came by in about two days and put it in. He was wonderful and it all worked out great. So far, we're loving our stairlift. It's straight but it has rails that lifts up because it otherwise blocks an entrance to the living room. And it turns at the top because I need my husband to be on solid ground when he gets off of it. The stairlift also fits just fine on our stairwell. It's a big chair and it kinda blocks it at the top but I'm okay getting around it. Initially, I was really scared to get one because I thought it would cause all kinds of holes in the wall. But it didn't and I was delighted. The quality is good, too, and it seems to be quite solid. The chair itself is well-made and comfortable and hopefully, the motor will last.

He came from Pittsburgh and was here for almost two hours measuring everything. He also took pictures. The other two guys that came in just looked at the stairs and took shots of it. I asked if that's it and they said yes. The installers told us when they were coming and when they came, it took them two and a half hours to put it in.

The stairlift that was installed was right on the back of one wall, then it comes up on a curve on the landing and right to the top of the steps. It fits beautiful. I like the curve and coming right out of it, and it drops it off at the very top the stairs. I hit the button, flip the seat and I can get off right on the floor. The installer went up on it the first time and he told me how to do it. So I went up and came back down. So far, I have a wonderful experience riding it. The salesperson that came out was very good. I went to their place because I have a scooter and I thought I needed a little part. I happened to see the display they had there on the floor. The Bruno stairlift goes down about 10 steps and I can make a left-hand turn and it goes down to the left about another seven or eight steps. It's a little tight at times but it folds up pretty good. Rick, the installer, was good. The lift is all right but I had to get him out again to do a few adjustments. It's a bit too close to the stairs and it has to be raised up a little bit. The wiring has not been completed yet, the wires are up on the edge of the stairway so we have to get that out of the way. Rick said we just have to get a piece of old stripping and put it along the wires where they go in because we haven't plugged them to the wall around the corner. Bruno Stairlifts is a little inconvenient but it does what I wanted.

He did a quick assessment, spoke very frankly, told me what the cost was, and he was close, within a hundred bucks. I had a straight stairlift installed and it fits perfectly on my stairwell. The installer was a professional and he was done in less than four hours. He showed me how to use it and then he watched me while I tried it out. The only downside is when you get on the chair, you turn it in, and supposedly it’s not charging, you get a darned beeping sound. It’s just obnoxious to me and it’s just something I have to live with, or if I can find a way to disconnect that, I would. I got a Bruno chairlift through the VA outpatient clinic and the installation took less than a couple hours. The chairlift was very efficiently put in and it works like a charm. The installer was very efficient, polite and went through everything with me. The different features as well as how the remote control they sent with it works was explained, but I'm still getting familiar with those.

I like that the chairlift fits into the vestibule type area, clear of the door, and there is space at the top. So, it's convenient getting in and outta the chair downstairs and upstairs. It's relatively easy to use and safe. It’s got the little arms off to the side of it and the control switches. I wish I've had it put in long ago. Bruno makes other chairlifts but I don’t think anybody would ever be dissatisfied with the same chairlift as mine. I’m very satisfied with it and I’d recommend Bruno. I've had an excellent experience.

We needed a stairlift because my wife started to have knee problems. Bruno was recommended by the installer who was from another company. He was more confident in it than the other brand, so we decided to pick Bruno. The stairlift works fine, so far. The only thing is it’s a little slow. My wife can walk up a lot faster than when it goes. But other than that, we’re very happy with it. Having it made life easier for my wife. I would recommend this to anybody.

Bruno called and told me that I was eligible for a stairlift. The installation took about an hour and a half and the overall quality of the stairlift is good.

I am very happy with my Bruno stairlift. I have COPD and it really tires me out sometimes going up the stairs. Then, if I do it twice in a row, it would hurt. With the Bruno stairlift, I don’t have to walk up the stairs. I use it a couple of times a day every day and I like it very much. The installer who came was also very polite and a very, very good gentleman. He knew what he was doing. I was impressed by the short time that it took for him to install it which was a little over two hours. I’d recommend Bruno.

Kevin Rabe, the owner of Northend Mobility, suggested Bruno as the best stairlift provider. He was also my salesperson and he was good. He was very straightforward and he sold it to me. I was surprised that the installation was very quick. The two guys finished it in less than an hour. The stairlift has very good quality and I use it daily.

Our friends have Bruno's stairlifts and we thought they were nice. We decided to get a straight model and we had very good interactions with their rep. Their installers were very nice and after they put in, we have found that it fits very well in our stairwell. We like the convenience the stairlift provides us. It makes life easier and safer.

My mom can’t walk and we got a set of stairs and she needed something to help her up and down. We hired a company and they told us about Bruno. They told us how it was going to be installed, the ease of use and convenience and how stable and sturdy it is. The lift has met all of those milestones and surpassed a few. We got two straight stairlifts and they're very convenient, very small profile and the quality is very good. Plus, we can still use the stairs. The installation and sales team were the same guys and they were very knowledgeable and able to accommodate whatever we wanted. They also demonstrated how the stairlifts work. Now, I don’t have to carry my mom up and down 12 stairs and the lift has made her life easier. She has a lower level on our home and she has to come up to the main floor for breakfast and meals and with the lift, she’s able to transition. We’re very happy.

After hearing some testimonials and getting a referral from my daughter, I chose to get a Bruno stairlift for our home. I worked with their rep, Brad and everything went well. He was very courteous and he explained everything to my satisfaction. We chose to get a straight stairlift from them and thereafter, their installation team arrived on time as they said they would. When they were done, everything was cleaned up. They also went over the instructions on how to operate the lift. However, I have a problem with the rocker switch as I don't know if it stuck out far enough where it hooked onto some clothing that pulled it off. Ours broke off for some reason so the switch may need to be recessed a bit further. Nevertheless, we find that the stairlift fits well in the large staircase I had put in.

I have a bad leg so it's hard to get up the stairs. Bruno Independent Living Aids had a better reputation than Acorn so I chose them. Their installer was very good. He came right in and put the stairlift in. I got the straight type and the quality is good. It works. It goes up and down the stairs. Now, I can get upstairs to take a shower.

My mother is ecstatic about the Bruno stairlift. My sister had a Bruno stairlift put in for her, and I thought it's a good looking unit. I'm a machinist, and I know what quality looks like. The Bruno looks a lot better than the one I was looking at Acorn. Its overall appearance is better and it's very nicely put together. The sales rep from Bruno was terrific. It's hard to deal with my mom but he really knew what he was doing. He was very professional. The installation was straightforward. I would have struggled with it, but the guys who did it were good and very methodical. That's what they do, and they know how to do it.

My mother loves the stairlift. My dad died and then she fell on the stairs and almost broke her knees and her hip. She already has her replacement hip. I saw her on a wedge down the stairs and I couldn't pick her up. She was like a jelly fish. I told her, "No more of this. If you gonna go down the stairs, I'm gonna either lock the door. You're not going downstairs." And now that we got the stairlift, she got the freedom back. And I'm relieved. I tell about Bruno to people who I think are gonna need them. They come over to see how my mom's doing. I tell them, "Look at this, this is a God send. This is the way to go."

Bruno was a good company to work with. Their sales reps were very nice and they knew what they were doing. The installation also went very well. The stairlift is very good quality, serves its purpose, and does what it's supposed to. Also, the cost was what I was expecting.

We had a very old stairlift model that was no longer functioning and we needed one for my wife to get up and down the stairs. Bruno was recommended by the DME Store and we made an appointment. They came to the house, measured and talked us through the options. Then they showed up on time and installed it. It was the salesperson's son who did the installation. It was the same family and it couldn’t have gone better. The installation took about two hours, which was not very long and although the straight stairlift fits a little tightly in the stairwell, there’s not much else one can do. They also don’t make the stairlifts like they used to and it's slow but it is what it is. It’s sturdy and it does the job, and I like the multiple remote controls.

My husband was having trouble going up and down the stairs since he had two fractured femur bones, on both sides. It was six months before they found out which was why we got stairlifts. I called another company three different times and they promised to come but never showed up. Then, I talked to one of their guys and he said he hated to do it but he would give us a number. I talked to the Bruno salesperson over the phone and I had a great interaction with him. He was very kind and I was very pleased with him. The gentleman who came to install the stairlift was very sociable and did a very good job.

We have a bi-level home so we had to purchase two chairs, which I wish we could've gone without, but I'm glad we got them. My husband uses the stairlift all the time and I’m using it more. I have cancer and it's starting to kick my butt. I have simply enjoyed the stairlift and I am very satisfied with it. It means everything. I suggested to others to go with Bruno because I have a lot of confidence in it.
