I went into Cedar Valley Mobility and checked Bruno out. Those people were so nice so I didn't look any further. I went in and they had a little demonstrator. It was two or three weeks later that I called them and told them to come on out and measure for one. They were so nice, too, when they installed the stairlift and that means a lot. The installers were awesome and they never left until they made me ride it. They were here for maybe an hour.

The stairlift is working fine. I get out of breath if I'm carrying something up the steps. But with the stairlift, like my Christmas decorations are in a little tote so I can sit it on the chair and there's the remote that I can sit that on the chair and it can just take it down while I hold the remote button down. I can go down and put it away and go back. It's helping with the chores.

My husband had some health issues that require a stairlift. I know one person from Bruno so I went with them and I chose the straight type. The installer was very nice. We had an older one that had bitten the dust and it had a very heavy railing to take out, and I don't know how he did it. So far, the Bruno stairlift is fine and the quality seems good. It gets my husband where he needs to go, although he thinks it's a little too slow. But they said everybody says that.

I have a two-story apartment building and some folks couldn't live on the second floor if they didn't have the stairlift. The Bruno sales rep I dealt with was friendly, helpful, very upfront and honest with me. The quality of the stairlift that was installed was excellent. It helps them get to their apartment. So far, everything is working the way it's supposed to.

My brother made an appointment with a Bruno rep to come over. We got the stairlift because our mother is capable of walking up and down the stairs, but no one can guess when her knee is going to buckle. The installation was fine. They told me it was gonna take three hours but it didn’t because they constructed it before they got here. They just had to put the rail in, so it took a lot less time than expected.

I’m sure they thought they were gonna be out of here quicker. But because of my own background and the fact that our mother is gonna use the stairlift when I’m not in the house, it took some time. Plus, she’s a little bit handicapped in her one hand. She’s missing part of her thumb, so it’s kinda hard to push a red button that you can’t see and you can’t push. It would be good if they had a demo site. They suggested that we go to someone's house here in our local area, but that's kind of an awful thing. Also, I had to ask for the book to see how it worked. It wasn’t given to me. Then, we called them back for service because there was a clicking sound. But they sent a second person and they knew exactly what to do and the clicking sound is gone.

The stairlift is okay, other than a little dangling of feet. We’re under five feet and sitting in the seat, we can’t rest our feet on the footrest. But that doesn't prevent the use or the safety of it. My mother could get in and out of it easily enough. Everything is fine. We’re using it like we’ve had it in the house for years and we’re overall satisfied.

I had a straight stairlift installed and it was a very nice experience. The installers were fabulous and very nice and neat. And the stairlift is easy to use. It’s a little on the slow side, but then I don’t presume it’s gonna do 60 miles an hour. I had an operator’s manual and it’s easy for somebody to walk by it. It’s good.

My dad is 95 and his vision is not good and his balance is not good. His doctor recommended that we look into getting a stairlift and the VA approved it. The man who came to measure was wonderful. He was very helpful and he explained what would happen. Then before I knew it, in less than a week, the people were there installing it. It was just wonderful. The installers were very young but they were enjoying their job. They were funny, helpful, and good about demonstrating how to use the stairlift and explaining all the ins and outs. We were gone for two weeks after it was installed for the holiday, and so we're still getting used to it. The only challenge is that the washing machine is in the basement and getting past the stair to get downstairs with a huge load of laundry is somewhat challenging, but I've been known to use the chair to take the laundry down. Other than that, we love the stairlift and my dad gives it a two thumbs up.

My husband picked a stairlift from Bruno out and I liked it. The Bruno rep was good. The installers were very professional. The stairlift is very nice, and I like going up and down the steps with it. It looks very good, and it runs very nicely. I only have the trouble with the safety device. I have trouble, when I get at the top of to the stairs, turning it around. I have trouble getting it in the right position. I wish somebody would come out to my house and demonstrate to me again how to turn it around.

My wife had been having trouble for a couple of months out and she is gonna have a surgery on her hip. Her mother is 93 and she is also having a lot of trouble going up the stairway. We have a friend as well who can barely walk up. She can’t walk down and has to sit down. So with multiple reasons of why we can’t get up and down the steps, we got a stairlift. The Bruno sales visit was really good and the guy gave us all the information we wanted. Then he came out to the house and measured. We asked him some more questions about how the stairlift works and he really knew his business. When the installation team came over, they said that they would have it done in a couple hours and they did. They left it super clean as well so it was nice.

We got a straight stairlift and we have over 40 inches on the lift there on the stairwell so it fits in real good. It goes up and down, and when people sit in it, even when they're elderly, they feel confident ‘cause it feels strong. Since we got the stairlift, my wife's hip feels a lot better. And my mother-in-law who normally won’t try anything new, said, “I’m afraid of it.” But she sat in the thing and I showed her how to operate it. Now, she loves it and she thinks it’s great. We love the Bruno stairlift and it works great.

A year or so ago, we looked at Acorn and they were out of Columbus. But Bruno is local. We knew who was running it and they had references. They are also a little bit cheaper. We live in a condo that has stairs in it and because of our age and our health, we decided to get a stairlift. They did a good job with the installation. They were clean and did it in about half a day. We have a straight line to the landing. We take two steps, get on the other one and come over the rest of the way upstairs to our TV room and our bedroom. Our family is happy that we got it and think it's great for us. We're happy with its quality and we use it a lot. It makes it convenient for us to get up and down. And we don't have to worry about falling.

I had a Bruno stairlift previously in my cellar steps a long time and I’ve had good service with it. Once going down the basement, the stairlift is wonderful considering how many times a day we use it. We’ve had the stairlift from the first floor to the basement where we have a lot of refrigerators and the only problem we had is that one time, the batteries went bad. So, it has had the batteries replaced. I don’t know how many years it is since we’ve had that stairlift but it's well over a decade, and it's good.

We had a recent sales visit from them for another stairlift and everything was all right. Everything went along smoothly and then the guys came and put it in. We have it in my first floor to my second floor, and the quality is quite nice. They’ve modernized it quite a lot from what we have going down the cellar. We're using it, though my wife uses it more. The chair is nice, and the sturdiness and everything are great.

The sales rep, who was also one of the owners, was wonderful. He explained everything in detail and wasn’t pushy. It worked out very well for us and we appreciate it. We had a stairlift for my mother about 25 years ago, but it was from a different company. The railing of Bruno's stairlift is closer to the wall so there’s a little more space. We’re very happy with the way it’s working. We like the remote, which comes in very handy. Moreover, the price was reasonable compared to some other places, and the service was excellent. I would recommend Bruno to other people who need a stairlift.

We got a straight stairlift and it’s been doing good. However, maybe it’s grabbing or hesitating in some places and it got quite a workout at Christmastime. Also, it definitely does take over the stairwell because our stairs isn’t that wide and if one had to get down with the chair, they have to squeeze by it. But that can’t be helped. Other than that, we like everything about it. It does the job and does what it’s supposed to do.

We got Bruno and we compared it to another stairlift. The quality on the Bruno stairlift was much better and it was a more expensive chair, but the difference in price was worth it. After it was installed, I wish there was more room in my stairwell and to be able to get past it when the chair is up or down. But my house was built in the 60s so we can only go to a certain extent. The chair was for my wife and we’re very pleased with it. But they are expensive. They’re overpriced and the industry takes advantage of it because it’s not something that’s covered by insurance. Other than that, the stairlift we have seems to be very well built, very sturdy, and acting the way we wanted it to.

We installed 2 of these in our 3-level home about 6 months ago, thinking one of our moderately-mobility-impaired relatives would enjoy it when visiting. Little did I know that I would need it myself -- within a week after installation I was using it regularly. The salesman was very good, installer(s) the same, and two early problems were addressed timely. I made the mistake of not researching more options before buying, and suspect I might have gotten more bang for the buck had I done so. My major complaints are:

    1) It's too slow -- it takes about 75 seconds to go downstairs, and about 50 seconds up. If you're making the trip to go to the john, it seems much longer.

    2) It's noisier than I would like -- rumbles going both up and down. I'm concerned that this might be a sign of potential failure.

    3) It has way too many safety features that make it a pain in the neck to use. a) You have to hold the switch "on" to operate it, which makes it very hard to carry something in your lap. b) There's an annoying beeper that sounds off on many occasions. For example, we'd like to park one of the chairs turned 90° to make it easier to get off and on the chair, but it wants to be parked in riding position. And it must be parked at the very end of its travel; it would be much more convenient for us if it could be parked about a foot short. But no, it sits there and beeps.

    4) Service for it appears to be crazy expensive. A service contract is $1400/year, or you can buy by the drink for T&M plus $150/trip. As someone else remarked, they should give away the lifts and just sell service. I'm hopeful, however, that it won't break -- it looks pretty rugged. I can do a lot myself (e.g., change batteries), but there's a lot of circuitry that's way over my pay grade.

All in all, I'm glad I bought a stairlift, maybe don't want to know how much less I could have gotten away for.

Our adult son is gravely ill and he has moved back to our house. He was having a hard time getting up and down the stairs and I was also having a hard time getting him up the stairs because I have a bad leg. I contacted a local stairlift installer, who carries Bruno, and we had a straight one installed. We now have three stairlifts in our house. Earlier, the same provider had installed one out in my garage so I could get up to my office because they were steep stairs. And then, we had a neighbor who moved out of her house and she gave her stairlift to us. We had it installed, with the new one, for the 90-degree turn in our stairs.

The stairlift has been installed for about a month now and we use it daily. You can walk alongside it but with some difficulty as it takes up two-thirds of the stairwell when the arms, the seat and the footrest are down. But they fold up. It’s a good quality product. We had some issues with the one in the garage, but our local fellows at Mobility Systems from Hattiesburg, Mississippi were good to service it. I had to pay them for some visits, but it’s doing well now. I haven’t had any problem with these.

I had a great experience with Bruno. We got them through co-op, and their sales rep came out and he was excellent. There was no pushiness and it was entirely up to us if we wanted to go with them. Then, the installation team was really good too and they put the seat to the level to fit my husband. They took their time and they did an excellent job. We got a straight stairlift and since we’re in a bi-level home, one goes from our top floor down to the front door, and then we got one put down to the basement as well. It takes up room, but it’s a necessity. And it’s been really handy, otherwise, my husband was gonna have to slide. He has to go for a physio and then with all kinds of doctor’s appointments, and that has really helped. The quality of the stairlift so far seems to be excellent. I'm impressed with both its ease and smoothness. And also, it doesn’t jet out into the top floor. It jets out more at the bottom by the entrance to the house, which is perfect.

With the way the house was built and with my mobility, it’s easy to not topple down there. With Bruno, I just sit in and ride down it because it saves a lot of potential serious falling. Although, I've told the VA that it's very difficult to come up with $1,000 a year to take care of it. So, we try to use it very sparingly to make it last as long as possible. They should not sell a warranty to somebody who probably can’t afford it. But the product works fantastic.

My wife had a heart attack and she can't walk. We needed a stairlift to get her upstairs and we got a Bruno. After I purchased it, the guy I bought it from, Rick, came back the next day to pick up the balance of his pay. I mentioned to him that the stairlift was starting to lean away from the wall. He told me that he would have somebody sent over. But then, nobody came so I phoned Bruno and asked them what was going on. They said they haven't heard anything from Rick and they were making arrangements for somebody to come over. It has already been two or three weeks. The service is **.

Also, there are a few things about this straight stairlift that I'm not impressed with. When it gets to the top of the stairs and I rotate the seat, it starts to trip to indicate that it’s at the top and swivel up 90 degrees. When my wife goes to bed, she has to turn around and straighten the chair back up 'cause the tripping doesn't stop. Bruno should have some sort of a sensor with which if the lift is not being used for a length of time, it would have the trippers shut off.

My wife couldn’t get up and down the stairs, so I needed to get a stairlift. This is the second one we've had. We've had one that was Bruno before secondhand. That one they’ve discontinued and don't do the parts after 10 years, so I had to get a new one. The new one just got put in last month. The installers were great. I've used them for 10 years, and they’re good guys.

We got a townhouse and we sized down from a big house. We knew when we bought that that if we were gonna live there, we’d need a stair elevator. So, we’ve been here 12 years, and we’ve had one 11 years. I like this new one a lot better than the other one. The other one was really heavy, had a flat track and all the dirt and stuff got in it. This one is vertical track and aluminum. And it says in the warranty that the aluminum tracks are guaranteed for life. If something goes wrong with the track, it’s part of the warranty and they’ll replace it. So I like that. It’s got some good warranty on the Bruno products because you don’t know if aluminum is gonna stand up the same way that cast iron do.

And my wife really likes the fact that this is a lot lighter. It’s easier for her to lift the handles up, put the seat up and down. The other was really heavy and I could never move anything or do anything with it without getting one of my sons to help. Like when I had to take it out to get new flooring put in, I had to get help because it’s so heavy. But I also liked that product, I just like this one better. And that makes sense because it’s a newer product. They make improvements all the time. I’m just hoping it’s got some longevity because lighter products tend to wear out.

And when we had some estimates done for my mother-in-law, not only was the price competitive for Bruno and we knew about the product, but we had a lot of confidence in the gentleman, who was the sales representative, who did the measuring and answered our questions. He was really, really outstanding. He knew his stuff. He had the answer to every question we had. It was clear that he had a lot of experience in installing them.

The big difference was the one we have in my own home is a straight stairlift which is pretty uncomplicated. But the mother-in-law’s had two big turns to it, 280-degree turns. We were a little bit more concerned about this, and he was able to not only answer questions, but he also talked about having installed other stairlifts of the same type. It’s very easy to operate. And he likes that he can operate it using one side of the handle. With a push of his thumb, he can make it go up or down.

My 91-year-old mother has dementia. And the only in and out from our house, which was built kind of on an incline was stepped, and it would have been impossible to push her on a ramp. I figured that a stairlift would be the perfect thing for her. The rep from Bruno was great. At first, I was thinking to get a ramp and then he saw we had basement steps into the garage, so he measured for the ramp and then he measured for the garage. Then he looked at the garage and he said, “Your best bet would be for a stairlift.” That was probably gonna be a little bit less than a ramp, and so it might’ve been more money for him but I appreciated his advice. He said, “I don’t want to sell you something you'd be unhappy with. I wouldn’t wanna have to push somebody up a ramp that size.” So, I appreciated his advice. And he assured me it would be done very safely, and it was.

The stairlift is great. In fact, I use it to bring heavy groceries and bulky things that’s hard for me to bring up. It's two for the price of one. We got a straight stairlift. It goes into a basement, and we got the one that holds 400 pounds. The installer came when he said he was gonna come and he was no trouble. He installed it. He was wonderful. He was out getting those little covers for the railing itself. And I sat in it and I could tell that it might still be too high for my mom and I asked him if there was anything he could do. At first, he didn't think he could, but he came back and said, “I lowered it by an inch.” It’s perfect. He was really nice.

Mom had tried the stairlift three times and she did fine with it. The stairlift is not cheap. I went into it expecting it to be maybe 2,000, but it ended up being 3,725. Things are always more than you think they’ll be. And I told our doctor that I got her a stairlift, and he wanted to know how much it cost, and he thought it’s what he would expect.

Our stairlift will impact both me and my mom greatly because it was hard to get her out of the house. I had just a little, tiny ramp on the front porch and then she had about seven steps to go down, and I have railings. But she had to use both hands on one rail and she barely shuffles when she walks, and it was kinda dangerous. Even though I was with her, it could’ve been dangerous. And it was hard on her. She’s frail and it tired her out to go in and out and it tired me out trying to help her. So, I’m thinking that this stairlift will preserve her energy and mine. And I’m hoping that she may be a little more willing to go out once in a while. She stays in the house all the time and that ties me down. So, I’m hoping it’ll make both the qualities of our lives a little bit better.

I am an in-home health care provider to Pennsylvania. I'm paid through a subcontractor through the state to take care of my mother and elderly grandmother, and that was the reason we purchased the stairlift. And it was through United Disability Services that we were able to get the Bruno stairlift and through a federal grant. Bruno was the option we were given and after looking them up, my mom was very pleased that that was the option we were given.

The gentleman who did the installation was incredible. He has been with Bruno for over 10 years, had nothing but amazing things to say about the company, and was able to get around hurdles to install our stairlift within the day, and it works amazingly. Even though he forgot one of his battery packs here, he was still incredibly professional about even coming to pick it up. So, I have nothing but great things to say about their install team that came out and did stuff for us as well. They had to put in a new banister and removed the old one to do so. And from construction to clean-up, everything was very smooth. Bruno has a great person, and he should definitely be rewarded for such. He made it quite comfortable to not only have something that big in my house, but then make me feel comfortable after he left too. So, I really appreciate that, and I hope that's how Bruno is training all their staff.

Even though she’s not a big person, she still doesn't like the chair or the feet to be too small, so that was why the guys recommended Bruno. She feels secure in it. The installation did not take long. The person who came out to do it was nice, and he gave me a lot of information about what to do, what not to do, how to keep it up, how to keep her safe while she is in it, and how to work the remote controls. He told me everything I needed to know. The stairlift is quiet, it works fine, and my mother’s happy.

I was researching chairlifts and found that everybody said Bruno is the most dependable. So, then, I started looking for who to buy one from. I went for a new one. I found a vendor, 101 Mobility. I called them and they sent a fellow out who claimed that he was half owner of their company. I’m 385 pounds, so we discussed that. He was sitting right across from me in my living room while we were talking about it, and he went and measured my stairwell. I needed the left hand and I needed the Elite, the 400-pound capacity. We ordered it and I gave him a sizable down payment of 2800.

They told me they had it and they were ready to install it. Another fellow came out to install it. He said, “You know, the chair with that is not going to be big enough for you. I can tell already.” And I said that I ordered the big one. He went out to his van and he was out there 15 minutes or so and came in with the chair that went on the lift. It was obviously not big enough for me. And so I knew that the Elite can have a smaller or a large chair. He had to go out and make some calls and when he came back, he said that he talked to his boss and that the bigger chair was like $1500 more. But if I said, “Okay” that day, because of the mix-up, they’ll let me have it for $1250. So, I said, “Pack your stuff up and I’ll call you.” They tell you one thing, and then come out and automatically say, “Oh, that’s not big enough for you,” and then, try to hit you with a big bill, and you are stuck. They, however, refunded my money.

Then, I called Bruno and most they would do was give me names of a couple other vendors. But nobody discussed prices, nobody could tell me the price. But what I learned is that it is up to the selling party and the installer to charge whatever they want. So, in any event, I called two different vendors, and I picked the one that was a little bit closer, but they both seemed agreeable. They come out and talked to me, and agreed I need a bigger chair. Pennyrile Home Medical is the one that I dealt with, and that 101 Mobility was the problem people. They told me it costed more with the bigger chair, but their final price was like 4150, just $300 more than the other guy that wanted 1250, or if I waited a few days, 1500 for the bigger chair. So, they ordered it, got it, came out, installed it, and it was fine. It has got the big chair and it was quick satisfactory. Overall, as far as Bruno and Pennyrile are concerned, they did everything they did.

I went with Bruno because this company here had put one in for somebody that belongs to the same church that I go to, and they also put the same one in the church that I go to. They did a good job during the sales visit when they came out to my home. It did not take them long here and they had it done in no time too. I have a straight lift from the kitchen floor upstairs to the second floor.

It went perfect with the installation crew as well. They gave me good instructions on how to work it and everything. I knew this is the part that goes up, and it’s got its own little fuse. Hopefully, I could use to get it go back and forth. They did a very good, I’m very well pleased with them. The installation team was very good and they took about five or six hours. It took a lot of assembling below the stairway.

The curved stairway is very narrow, and the first time I used it, it bruised my knee a little bit. But now, I see how to sit on the chair, and that doesn't happen. It fits well in my stairwell. My wife can still go up and walk down the stairs beside it and she does sometimes. The stairlift gets me upstairs and it works fine. Then the office called me the next day and said it was approved. It was another week or so before they got it all ordered. Then they came out and installed, and everything went fairly smooth. The fellow who installed it had to know what he was doing because everything just went like clockwork real easy.

During the installation, the technician came out, installed the rail and the seat and got it plugged in for the transformer to charge. He gave me two remotes and showed me how everything worked on it. He was here for three hours and he was thorough with everything. I’ve had the occasion to use the stairlift for about five times and it works. It brings me up and down smoothly and everything seems to be solid. I asked the installer to make the seat the same height as my wheelchair off the floor because I have to swap from the wheelchair into that chair to go down. I can maneuver the wheelchair over there close to it and I can pivot on to it without any trouble.

The reps at Bruno called to tell me to set up the appointment to install it. We don't have a doorbell and I live downstairs so I asked them to call me on the day of the installation when they get here rather than just beat on the door, and they did. I went up and I could not believe how quickly the stairlift was installed. Then, they showed me how it worked and gave me the two remotes.

When the charger was beeping and blinking, I took out the booklet and it indicated that there was probably something with the wires but it was not something you could take care of yourself. I called Bruno and a real human answered the phone and not a voice mail. I made the appointment for the next day but my son-in-law who happens to be a mechanic, came home and he unplugged it and plugged it back in again. That solved the issue and the light turned into a solid yellow, which meant it was charging. Now, it’s a solid green, which means it’s fully charged. My son-in-law was able to take care of it and the stairlift itself is now working fine. So, I called and cancelled the request for service, and they called back to tell me that they received the message. And once again, "If I had any issues, please give me a call back." They said that they would. They were totally professional and handled it very well.

When I have the chair folded up and the footrest folded up, there is plenty of room to get up and down the stairs to get past it, which is important because I live with my daughter, her husband, and their three boys, and they come up and down the stairs. There's plenty of room to get up and down the stairs carrying things so, it's nice and compact. It gets all the way to the bottom of the stairs and all the way at the top, plus, it swivels nicely. It's great.

There's a Bruno store was close by and I decided to buy a stairlift from them. I like it and it does the job. It gets me up and down, though I wish it went faster because I could crawl up the stairs quicker. But I know that it’s not supposed to go really fast and when I get to 104, I’ll probably appreciate the fact that it goes slower. It also takes up a lot of room in my very narrow staircase, since it’s not that wide of a staircase. Plus, I wish that the chair would swivel on the bottom of the staircase, but it’s not necessary. It only swivels when you’re at the top to the right. Other than that, the chair itself works wonderfully. My grandson loves it as well and thinks it’s the greatest thing since Swiss cheese.

But I realized that they connected it to a light switch, so they have to come back and re-do that. All of a sudden, it started beeping and I was going all around the house trying to figure out if it was the washer, the dryer, the microwave, or stove. It was kinda hard to find where it was coming from and finally, I discovered that it was the stairlift. So, I turned off the switch and I called them up. They came over and they did something, but what they did wasn’t the right thing because it still has a problem. At the moment, I have to keep the light on to use the stairlift. If I turn the light off, the thing starts beeping again. So either I turn off both the switch on the light and the chair, or I switch them both on. But it isn’t a terrible thing and it's not the end of the world. And despite that, the people there were nice, very friendly, and local. I also paid more than I should’ve, but it doesn’t matter.

Our daughter is a total quadriplegic. We live in Kansas, which is a tornado place so we needed a way to get her to the basement. I’m gonna be 70 this year and her dad’s already 70. She’s about 70 pounds and it’s hard for us to get her up and down the stairs. So that we could get to the basement, we got a chairlift. I looked at another company that costs a lot less money, but I was told that it wasn’t as good a quality as the Bruno and probably wouldn’t last as long.

We also had a Bruno chairlift at our other house, but when we sold the house, we were told that the stairlift wouldn’t fit in another stairway so we had to leave it. I thought that the straight pieces would work, but they wouldn't because all stairs aren’t made the same. The person that installed the old chairlift installed the new one for us. They're really nice people and we’ve had good experiences with them.

The chairlift is great. It’s really heavy-duty and can carry 400 pounds so I could sit on it and hold her if I wanted to. Plus, extra things were added for our daughter because of her disability. It curves into my kitchen area, away from the stairs and now there’s no way she could fall down the stairs. The seat and arms fold up when it's in the stationary positions at the top or the bottom. We got the remote mounted on the wall downstairs and upstairs.

It has seatbelts on it. There are also shoulder harnesses on so she wouldn’t tip over. Her bottom isn’t flat. When her pelvic bone broke, it came loose and it twisted so she sits lopsided. By having shoulder harnesses on, stationing her feet the way they need to go, and putting the seatbelt on her, she can ride up and down by herself. She doesn't know how to do the remote on the armrest, so we make her go up and down, but it’s great for a quadriplegic person.

I have a terrible time walking, and steps became very difficult. When we had looked at the stairlift from another company, it was made in England and they said it takes a week or 10 days to get parts if I needed them. Bruno was made here and I could get parts immediately. The sales rep told us all about the product and explained it. He was also polite. The installation took about three hours and they cleaned up everything, and it was a good experience. I'm happy with the stairlift. Something has come a tiny bit out of adjustment on the very bottom. And we’re gonna call and have that taken care of, but that’s not a problem.

My husband was paralyzed on one side and could not walk down the stairs anymore. Bruno was the one recommended by the company that we hired to install it. The gentleman who sold it was excellent and very accommodating. We got the curve type from them and it fits perfectly in our stairwell. The installation team did their job. However, my husband had a lot of problems. He is paralyzed on his right side and the switch was initially installed on the left side. So when he would stand up, he would hit the switch. In fact, he was pushed out of the chair at one point and they have been trying to correct this issue.

The installers came out for me and transferred the on/off switch up to his right side, so that when he'd stand up, he would not be hitting it. And he still, on numerous occasions, has caught a shoulder on it. When the arm is up, he has caught a jacket on it and the chair has started when he doesn't have a seatbelt on, and I consider it very, very dangerous. The company claims nobody else has had this problem and we find that very hard to believe since it has happened to him so often. The installer is still working on a solution and supposedly talked to Bruno about it. But as of yet, we don't have a solution and it is potentially a very dangerous situation. A stairlift is an expensive item, but it was something that was necessary. Bruno stairlift gets my husband up and down the stairs, but it's still a significant issue for us.

40 years ago, I took a major stroke. And a lot of my right side's not working so good so I purchased a stairlift from Bruno. At that time, I was sleeping in a recliner because going upstairs was very frightening. I was having the VA help me into my home. And the person that they sent out, showed me what Bruno could do, how well it would work, and how it help me get up. They can do all the things that I would require and they did it.

The company Totally Mobile came in one day and put in two stairlifts. One of them for my first floor to my second floor, and one for my basement to the first floor. And they've been working great ever since. I got the straight stairlift and it fits in very well. It has changed my life for the better. I can go upstairs, I can go up and take a shower, I can go to bed. It makes your whole life seem like you want to live it and not just go along with the ride. My favorite feature is I can ride it up and down. I have a problem with my ability to get up and out of things, and it makes it so much easier now. And to where it leads me up, I feel very safe now. But before that, I didn't feel safe at all. It's also easy to use, 'cause you just push the button. It's also easy to get in and out of.

We went to the store, and we were able to ride in them and try them out. So, it was good. We were here when the installer put it in and he didn’t have too many problems. He had to make a phone call or two while he was doing it, but other than that, it went in well. We got the straight stairlift with the chair that swivels at the top but the bottom part folds back because it extends farther than the bottom of the bottom step. So, it was kinda in the way. It folds up and when you fold it back down, there’s a locking mechanism, which is adjoined, and we had a little bit of a hard time and realized that she won’t be able to lock that. My brother-in-law fiddled with it and fixed it. We figured out that we don’t need to fold that back anyway and the stairlift is working great.

When you get in and push the button, you’re riding. Also, the one that I had was so loud, while this is a whisper quiet in comparison. I really like it. The guys who put it in were really nice and they took down some of the wiring for the other stairlift that was bigger and had more wiring around my bedroom door. The only thing I like better from the other stairlift was that it didn't have a remote. It was connected to the electric in the house, and then attached to the walls. With the Bruno stairlift I have to make sure to put the remote somewhere that when friends come with little children they don't play with it. Other than that, it’s great.

I don’t breathe well, so I couldn’t test it out before the guy finished, or else, it should’ve gone up another foot. But now, I have to come down a stair to get down to the chair, and that’s not what I’m looking to do. Also, I don’t have the energy to be chasing people around anymore, because I’m sick and I don’t have the patience for it anymore. Bruno should have better control over their distributors or installers. They’re not repping their product very well.

So I had an extension to the door opening 28 inches high made and I painted it the same color as the wall. From the kitchen side, you cannot see the rail, and from the entrance side, you can see the rail, but it's in front of a wall. So there's no chance of anybody ever tripping on it. I'm in a wheelchair and I called Bruno to tell them that I needed a lift for the bed of my truck. The installation team did well and I've got the lift for almost a month now. It is mounted in the back of the truck and it grabs my wheelchair then throws it in the back of the truck. It's fairly easy to use as it goes up and down, up and down, and in and out. Quality-wise, it seems to be doing okay. I would hate for somebody to have to use one, but if they were going to, Bruno would be about the only one I know that does it.

So, we decided on getting the stairlift. We had very good experience during Bruno's sales visit and we ended up getting one of their straight stairlifts. A very nice man then came to install, and he knew what he was doing and he explained everything to me. Everything was great. I've had my stairlift for about a month now and I love it. If I wanna get down the basement with clothes, I put them on my lap and go down. It’s great. I’m very satisfied and I would recommend them.

So we've been looking at pamphlets and we found a company that would do it for far cheaper than anyone else would do it, and Bruno is a good one. It's working so well and sure beats going up the stairs with my knees the way they are. I don't have to go up and down those steps. Bruno also spent all the time in the world they needed to teach Jim how to use the stairlift so he could teach me. They were wonderful.

The installation was also perfect and they cleaned up everything. The straight stairlift we went with seems to fit well. I like the way it glides down stairs, it doesn't take forever, and it glides back up the same way. I'm still getting used to the stairlift but it's really impacting my life a great deal 'cause I can go up and down, go outside. Those are the things that are really important to me. I need Jim's help at the bottom to get off. But before, he had to walk every step at a time. I was afraid he was gonna hurt his back hanging on to me. So from that standpoint, it's been excellent.

The chairlift has taken away a lot of my knee pain. I’m having knee problems and it’s very hard to go upstairs. It’s painful to walk upstairs. The chairlift also removes the worry that I'm gonna be stuck on one floor in my house. That’s the best and the biggest change actually. I wish we had a bigger stairway though. The chairlift makes it pretty tight and one reason for that is that we went with the Elite. But my balance is so bad. I wanted to be able to flop into it without any danger. It’s the straight unit and it has a lift at the top too so it turns around at the top. I like the chairlift so far.

The biggest dealership in the area carried Bruno and I liked it. That's why I picked Bruno. But I’m disabled and I couldn’t get to the showroom. So a salesperson came out to the house. She described Bruno, answered all my questions and did a good job. The installer, Tony, was professional too. He was a nice guy and a gentleman. He did a good job.

My aunt needed a stairlift, and then my mother developed breathing problems and her bedroom is in the second floor so we had to purchase another one as well. The Bruno stairlift in the basement is very complicated, very curvy in the bottom and in the top. The one that goes from the main floor to the second floor is straight. The first one we bought was $14,000 because there were so many curves. The other was in the neighborhood of $3,000. It’s a cheaper quality chair but it does what it’s supposed to do.

The first installation, there were two guys and the second time was one guy. They were incredibly courteous and very polite. The first one was very complicated, so it took quite a bit of time but they explained how to use the Bruno chair and went into great detail. The second time, the tech did his work, put it all there, explained it and asked me if there were any questions. Anything that I felt uncomfortable with, I could get in touch with them and they would gladly explain whatever.

My mother is okay in the head, so she presses on the Bruno stairlift and she goes down. She’s allowed to go up by herself as well. My aunt, on the other hand, has dementia so everything is done for her. But the stairlift is very convenient. It gives her tremendous flexibility to go out and go to the doctors’ appointments, so it’s money well-invested. I’d absolutely recommend them in terms of being punctual, courteous and doing exactly what they’re supposed to do.

My folks took a tumble down the stairs when we first just moved in with them, and so I was like, “You guys need to get a stairlift.” I’ve been helping them out with the chair thing. The sales representative from Bruno that came out was wonderful. He was our number one choice from the three people that we were in contact with. He was great to deal with, personable, and super friendly. We like him the best.

We got a straight stairlift. We have a really tight, narrow, and steep stairwell. We were like a few degrees off of not being able to get the stairlift installed. So, luckily, it works pretty good. We have two pie-shaped stairs at the bottom of the stairs, but my mom is still able to step up. It was bringing her up and down the stairs. My dad was lifting her, and she’s nearly 200 pounds. He’s a strong dude to begin with. That was how they fell forward coming down the stairs.

With the stairlift, we like the ease of going up and down the stairs. My dad uses it in the morning to bring my mom down and then in the evening to bring her up. The quality is great. It seems a little wobbly sometimes. The kids like to ride it down, but it’s great once we got it completely figured out. My mom didn't know how to sit into it. She gets the whole concept of it. Right now, she gets the movement of getting into it, because before, she would knock her foot off so it would take a little while to get up because she would hit the baseplate and trigger it off. My dad had to ask even the representative if there was a platform that could go on or a strap to hold her legs back because she would tend to slip them off the footplate. I would buckle her in and away she goes.

Overall, our experience has been wonderful. From the time of the incident to the time we got the chairlift in, quoted and installed, it was a matter of less than two weeks. The guy who came and did the installation was great. We had like a faulty remote, and he came back to the house. We’re in a small town outside of the city where their shop is located. He personally came and delivered a new one. So, it’s good that we have two remotes, so we have one that could still operate it.

I've had trouble with COPD and a bad hip for a long time, and I didn’t wanna get a stairlift until I had to. However, my husband was in a car accident and his hip and leg were hurt. That was in January and it wasn’t getting any better even with ongoing physio. So, we decided, since we both needed it, it was time to buy a stairlift. We live in a two-story house so we put in two stairlifts - one to the basement and one to the upstairs.

In our area, the only one we could actually view was the one that they're advertising on TV all the time. It looked very cheap and didn’t have the quality. It almost reminded me of Lego toys. We didn’t see a Bruno but just from the pictures, I could tell it looked much better. I did go online and looked at everything I could find, but I felt the Bruno looked the best so we went with them.

We have the wide seat and we went with the Elite because of the weight. It takes 400 pounds. We use it a lot too to take our laundry upstairs. At first, we'd just sit it on the seat, I'd push the thing up and my husband would take it off. But now, I found because we've got it, we're washing our clothes more often and have smaller loads, and I can hold it on my lap and go up with it. So, I can do it by myself. I don’t have to have somebody else to relay it off.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the stairlift. We have a very upper end house and it fits in very well. Before, if I went up or down the stairs, I was exhausted. I could do nothing when I got to where I was going but lie down and rest or sit down and rest. Now, I ride up, I'm getting my rooms cleaned up. I'm able to do lots of chores while I'm there. We have no hesitation any longer of going upstairs for something we've forgotten or downstairs to get something from the freezer. It used to be a real hassle of, “Well, I didn’t bring it up, so we won't get it ‘til next time.” It's been great. I've already recommended it to my doctor for her father and she's going to bring him over to try it out.

I’m having problems with sleep and vertigo, and the only way I could seem to get up and down our stairs was with a stairlift. Bruno and Acorn came up and based upon info that I had, I didn’t wanna deal with Acorn. The website that pulled that up gave Bruno at least 4.5 stars, and the others were less. I contacted their people in Tupelo, Mississippi and they came out. I had to have two stairlifts because at the landing, we make a 180 degree turn. The first time they installed things, they installed the upper set on the wrong side of the stairs. I had a set of bookshelves on the other side, and they were afraid that the bookshelf would interfere. But there was nothing on those bookshelves. They were adjustable for parts so even the supports are removed. So, they came back a week later and moved it over to the other side. All they had to do was lift up those shelves. They put them out to my back porch and took out the supports.

I have to use a walker when I move around, and I have two walkers depending upon what I’m going to do. If I’m just gonna walk down to get the paper, I use the lighter walker. I can fold it up, put it on my knees, rest it on my knees and there’s just the right clearance to make it down the stairs. The way I’ve been feeling lately, it's the only way I can get up and down those stairs. I have home health people that come, and so when they’re coming, I fold up the chairs so they can walk up and down the stairs. Without the Bruno stairlifts, getting to the doctor would’ve been impossible. Also, the living quarters are all on one floor, but we built the house on a hillside and so the carports are down underneath. If I wanna go out, I have to go down the stairs. When we shop, I have to bring the groceries up the stairs. Those lifts are what has allowed us to stay in our house.

I was told that the VA would help me pay for it, but I kept getting more and more forms to fill out. When I got the form that said I would have to join the VA medical operation, I quit. The closest VA medical facility is a clinic that is 25 miles away, and I’m not going to drive 25 miles when I’m not feeling good. I simply paid for the two stairlifts out of my own pocket. If the VA had granted me compensation, it would’ve been less than a quarter of what I paid. But Bruno works so well and they put it in at just the right time.

The base is attached right to the stairs and there are a lot of stanchions. Other than going around the left to the bend, a 90-degree bend which gets a little bumpy, everything is so high-quality. It folds up nice to file away. There are other remote features too. It’s quiet, just a couple of beeps with a few clicks in. It’s the number one chairlift out there. He couldn’t go up the steps before the lift so for about two months, I was kinda like the nurse aid, coming out there so he can go up and down. So we decided he should have a stairlift to go upstairs now. I like having the sensor on the chairlift because if it’s not locked in place, it beeps at you. That’s good especially for an older person.

The representative we dealt with was also very knowledgeable and pleasant. We had good interactions. We got the Elan Straight Stair Lift from Bruno. It’s a straight piece of chair with a pull-up footrest, and it fits just right into the stairwell. The installer was only here between 30 and 40 minutes and he got it all done. He checked where the electrical outlet was and got right in there. It was good. I’m surprised the stairlift is lightweight as it is. The old ones you see on TV are all heavy. This is more compact, in kinda the way they make cars too. The seats in the cars are more lightweight. So the stairlift is good because it’s easy for him to get in and out of.

I couldn't walk up the stairs, so I ended putting in a Bruno stairlift. The rep was a nice guy. He came in and showed it to me. He showed me everything I wanted. I wanted it on one side, but another guy that had been in earlier told me I couldn't put it there. But the Bruno rep said that they could put it on that side and there was no problem. He said they got a thing that pulls up, where the bottom part will pull up after you get it up a way. So, if you're not using it, it’s out of the way. He did a nice job. I was happy with him. He took good care of me. He came when he said he was gonna come, and did it when he said he was gonna do it. And it’s all I care about. With the stairlift installed, I can go up and down the stairs instead of crawling up. I can go downstairs without any trouble. I’d recommend it.

There’s a local Bruno distributor in La Crosse, and a friend and I were talking, then we both called there. We both got them and we had the same rep, Jason. He made an extra trip out because my credit card didn’t work the first time. He was wonderful. The fellow that did the installation was wonderful too. He didn’t do any cutting in the house. He did it all outside and he cleaned up his crumbs. He was very pleasant and now, the stairlift gets me down and up the steps. It's just perfect.

I had a Bruno before and I got a replacement this time around. The people that installed and serviced it were not nearly as good as the people that did the replacement. The guys that came were wonderful. I talked to about three different people, and all of them were good. They knew what they were doing and represented the company well. It’s a good place to go. When I was planning to get a stairlift, I researched who was the best, and I came up with the fact that Bruno was the best. The rail and the supports did not get replaced, but I told them it was okay not to do that. But I didn’t realize I’d pay full price anyway. That’s the only hang-up I have about it. I also wish that there was a basket to take the dog that I have to take up and down the stairs. But the stairlift is working well.

I got the carrier from Bruno and they did everything perfectly during the installation. They were very professional. Everything worked out exactly perfect. I had a class-A hitch on it. I also wanted to put a button on the bottom of the carrier, but I’ve been trying to find some roll of aluminium but it’s all steel and that's too heavy to gauge. But the carrier is super good. It's a lot easier for me to get around. I wouldn’t be getting around if I didn’t have it.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in detail. He also gave me some options if I wanted them. The installation didn't go as well as I’d hoped. There was a miscommunication with the gentleman that came out, who assured me that it would be much closer to the wall, and they ended up going through my carpeting instead of just the treads. They moved it out a certain distance. But I’m living with it. I can still get around it, going up and down the stairs, but that’s not what I initially hoped it would be. I wasn’t home when they did the install, and if I had been there, I would’ve said, “No, no, no.” Still, Bruno is safe for my mother who rides on it, and it's easy to operate. Plus I liked the price and the functionality. She stays with us so many months out of the year, and at first she was like, “I don't need a chairlift”. But she made a promise that she’d use it, and now she loves it.

Our Bruno stairlift is not what I thought it'd be. It's kinda clunky but it works. It's got the retractable arm that goes down to our basement floor, and the way it goes is that it goes down and stops, and you can't do it any other way that that arm goes out, or you can have it frozen down there, but once you get down to the bottom, the part that extends is not directly aligned and supported like the main rail. When you get to the bottom, you kinda tilt forward to go down the rest of the way. Maybe it's because there's carpet there and that's causing the trouble of it. Also, once it comes back up, it stops, and then it goes up, and then it kinda sounds like gears are grinding together for a little bit before you get to the top. We got a split entry three years ago that they put in on the upper floor to the front door, and we've been using that and that's been pretty good and not too much of a problem at all.

Maybe Bruno hasn't got it perfected enough so it runs smooth and everything, and I can't do anything about it. It does get us down to where we could take showers and do our laundry, which is downstairs. It's just that I figured it'd be a much smoother operation for $7,500. I called them, and I talked to a technician. They said, "Everything is fine. Don't worry about the grinding." So, I can't do anything more. The guy suggested when he would do it, "Well, we could just make it two pieces and like your other one will go all the way down the basement floor." But I was worried if we had to replace the carpets or vacuum. It just sticks out there.

I was wondering if it still bothers us later, maybe we could put one rail all the way down. The upper stairs wasn't going down. They had to cut in the middle to make the length from top to the bottom. I asked them, "Why can't you just get one to order, one whole piece from the factory, so you don't have to slice it in the middle to make the right length?" They said they can't. I used to work with sheet metal and stuff, and I don't see where it would be so prohibitive. I just gotta go with what they say. We haven't had it in very long, so we haven't had any problems. It's just that I feel like I'm tilting forward and gonna fall out a little bit because of the angle when it goes down there. Otherwise, it gets us down there and I'm so grateful we don't have to move, so that we can go up and down the stairs. That's a blessing in itself.

I am so grateful that I've got something to take me down there, and Bruno was really nice. I would recommend Bruno. The chair works really good. They serviced it too and just checked it out when they put in the other part there. I like the chair. It's hefty and it looks like it's not flimsy. It looks to be of very good quality. If somebody wanted one put in, I could give them some recommendation. It's a good set-up.

I went to Bruno and the manager was very helpful. When I went in there to talk with her, she said, “I need a down payment.” And I said, “That’s fine.” At that point, I didn’t know whether I was gonna get them or not. Another gentleman came in to assess my situation and tell me what exactly would be done. Very nice gentleman and I appreciated his information. I decided I would have them do it, and they didn’t ask for a down payment. They just said, “When it’s installed, you write us a check,” and that’s it. I appreciated the way they were upfront with me, dealt with me, trusted me, and told me what it was gonna be like. They were worth what it cost me to put the stairlift in, and it was a lot of money.

The installer was wonderful as well. I have a unique situation, and he fixed the cords so that they cannot see them. He took the time to do that for me. The Bruno chairlift itself is doing its job. My husband broke his femur, and so he doesn’t have a lot of strength yet in that leg. It would be impossible for him to go up and down the steps. With Bruno, he gets up and down without any problem whatsoever. I’m very happy, and I think he is, too.

It was also recommended by the company over on Iliff.

I was comfortable with the man that came out and did the installation. I was totally amazed that day. It was in the 90s and he started to lay it out in the driveway. I told him I would rather have him inside the garage doing whatever has to be done before it was actually installed. Also, I just felt more comfortable with him there in the garage since the temperature was in the 90s. Thus he laid out his tarps and did his thing. I was totally amazed at the care that I got for the installation. He also cleaned up after himself. The only thing is now, my wife is still over in St. Andrews and we're not sure when she is going to come home. I occasionally run the stairlift but it hasn’t really been used per se yet.

There were more expensive ones and a lot of the less expensive ones where you install the stairlift yourself, which is kind of funny because everybody’s website said not to install the stairlift yourself. I like that part. I want a professional to come in and do it. I don’t wanna get stuck halfway up and I can't get down. I've told a lot of people about Bruno Independent Living Aids. I don’t move too well anymore at 90 years old and I live in this whole building with 14 rooms by myself and the cat because the wife died in January. I have a movie studio up on the second floor, so I need to get up there once in a while to watch a movie or do some other stuff. I got a curved stairlift from Bruno and I wish had done it sooner. I also wish I had one that go to the basement, but the way the basement stairs are installed in the building, I wouldn’t be able to shut the door.

When my stairlift was installed, everything went smoothly and the installers didn’t have any problems. It was supposed to be put in on my birthday which is the 7th of June, but one of their installers called in sick and it took three installers to put the stairlift in. So, they didn’t do it until Monday. It took them about six hours and it’s really a work of art as you stand back and look at how the rail just ebbs and flows.

It was custom-made to my staircasing in the front where the first step between the landing and the second floor and the first floor landing, the second floor landing is curved. So, they had to overcome that to put the stairlift in because I originally had another company put one in but their stairlift was made up of all standard parts that they just put together. So, I was gonna have to cut the bottom stair which would have left a big hole that the cat could have got lost in. So, they were very upset because it cost me almost twice as much to have Bruno's product put in. I have the stairlift for about two months now and I would recommend Bruno.

I’m around most of the time, but if she’s alone and she has to use a stairlift. We had a different stairlift before but it wasn't a very good one. So I checked around and was told that Bruno's the best. We got a straight one from them which fits very well into our stairwell. The installers took care of things very well, except that I rather they did the rest of the house. We also had another chairlift that had two sections. There's a landing, and then there's stairs coming down, a landing and two more steps. So, we kept the other less desirable stairlift because it’s just a short span and it’s working very well.

When my wife sits down on the Bruno stairlift, she locks it so she gets to where she wants. However, she has a hard time sitting down and getting up from it. She can't lock the wheels 'cause the levers take a lot of strength. It could get away from her and she could wind up on the floor. When they were extending, she had a time that she could lock them but then they would stick out too far. So my son and I thought it out. He got a PVC piece and put it on. It gave more leverage, but my wife still can't use the stairlift right. It sets itself at a bad angle and you run into things very easily. It’s not a problem for somebody who has strong arms or wrists but my wife doesn’t. Nevertheless, I'm very satisfied with Bruno.

I’m happy with everything about Bruno but the price.

My Bruno stairlift is doing what it's supposed to do. I love that thing! It keeps me from having to pull myself up of the rails and pull myself up with my arms, or else I'm on all fours when I walk. I needed it. I really like the mobility of it. It helped me be a lot more mobile to get up and down the stairs. I'm into the practicality of it. My doctor at the VA prescribed a stairlift, and Bruno is what the VA sent me. The sales guy from Bruno was great. He told me what the deal was. Also, the people who came here for different stages were wonderful as well. They answered all my questions.

I have COPD which is a lung disease and I can't walk very good. We went to this place, and they recommended Bruno, which was also the one we liked. The sales rep were very knowledgeable. They asked all the questions. We answered. And they came out and helped us out. They were very good. We got a straight stairlift and we have lots of room. It's got everything we need and it works good. I don't have to walk up the stairs. The lift is also easy to operate. It makes my life really easy. And it looks nice. So if you need it, buy it! I'd recommend it.

I was always falling off my stairs. I was disabled. And I had a reference from other vets regarding Bruno. I was glad Bruno came out. They were a professional and if there was anything, they would correct it. The installation team did a wonderful job. And they said if I have any questions, I can ask them. I could get up and down the stairs pretty good now. I would recommend Bruno to a friend.

I'm in a wheelchair and I have a new bathroom put in on the second floor so I got a stairlift from Bruno. The installation took 1 day. The seat wasn't quite big enough. I'm 6-ft tall and the foot plate wasn't big enough. The stairway was measured ahead of time, but my knees would hit on the newel post, and it was possible for me to get my toes stuck underneath the top stairs when it made the curve. They were talking about taking off some trim off the newel post and shaving off part of the stair. It seemed to me that all of this stuff should've been taken into account ahead of time.

My wife went online and found that there is a larger seat. It is wider and deeper. She also found that there was a larger foot plate available. She cut out a piece of cardboard that would've been the same size and placed it on the top of the existing plate. We tested it out and discovered it would fit. So we called the company and told them about it. They ordered a new seat and a new foot plate and installed it, and everything seems to be great. My mother had a stairlift we got for her. It was much closer to the wall and it had more room. Because this is making a curve at the top of the landing, maybe that's why they can't get it as close. But that's my only issue.

I can't walk and I moved into a condo where my bedroom is upstairs. I can either eat or I can live upstairs. But if I wanna cook and eat and sleep, I need to be able to get up and down the stairs. I called Bruno and they recommended a chairlift when they saw the space I had. They measured first and I saw that they knew what I needed to have. I have animals and they're up and down the stairs and Bruno was telling me this particular chairlift has cover over the chain and it prevents the hairs from clogging up going up and down. They said that for me this was the best fit and they gave me the amount it would be. Then, once the chairlift was installed, they had me get in it and go up and talked me through everything. They made sure I was comfortable with it and knew how to work the remote. They were very nice and very friendly. They're very good to have here.

The smoothness of the chairlift is wonderful and it's nice that they could put the rail that comes all the way down to extend it because if I couldn’t pull the rail up, I would have trouble around the front door. Also, everything falls back against the wall so nicely. It's very good quality and it has made getting up or down the stairs so much easier. Plus, it's giving me access to my bedroom. I thought at first I would be afraid riding up and down, but I'm really not. I feel very safe. I would most certainly recommend them to a friend.

My wife has advanced Parkinson’s and was having trouble with the stairs. Bruno was introduced to me and they're a good company. The guy came and he had a brochure. He talked about various things and the aspects of the machine. I thought about it for a day or two and then ordered it. He put the order in and a while later, he came and he did photographs and sent it off. Then, he sent me the plan of how it was gonna go and there were detailed measurements. I looked at it and thought it was not gonna work and I phoned him. He came over and he pointed out some things to me. Then, we went to the showroom and he had it set up. I looked at it and I realized that I had not taken something into account. I changed my mind and decided it was tight, but it was gonna work.

In the showroom, my wife took a ride on theirs and loved it and thought it was just great. So, in the end, he ordered it and they installed it. All of the safety features are good. It’ll shut off if it encounters an obstacle. It works on a battery, but the battery itself charges when you plug it in. We keep it plugged in. It’s a very comfortable seat. My wife gets a bit of a charge out of it. It works well. It folds up out of the way pretty much when we’re not using it. It does beep a lot but we’re getting used to all the beeping and it’s not a big problem. We simply put it back in the run position. Also, I’m pretty impressed with the technology. The installer said that they should come back once a year and do a little oiling and I’ve made a note to myself to get them to do that. We like the chairlift a lot. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it and I would certainly recommend their product to anybody.

I moved my mother in with me so I purchased a stairlift from Bruno. I went with them because I had them before. My experience with their sales rep was good and he explained everything really well. The installation went well too. It went really smooth and they were on time. However, I'd like the bottom half to be automatic when it comes down to the bottom so it’s not blocking the walkway. But it’s good. It works well and I’ve always been happy with it. I'm very satisfied.

A stairlift is my only way of getting down the basement because I have shoulder surgery. I looked in the phonebook and called Stannah. They came out but they couldn’t do it at all. It was too narrow. Then, I called Bruno and they came out. Fortunately, they were able to put it in and the measurements were okay. The sales rep was extremely helpful and the installer was very good. The man even removed his shoes because he saw that the steps had been newly painted. I really appreciated that. The stairlift is perfect. It’s my way of getting to the basement and I love it. I tell people it’s the best money I ever spent. It enabled me to stay in my home and recover. I highly recommend it.

When our Bruno Stairlift comes up, it hits pretty hard n the top rack. Despite this issue, we've had a good experience with the company. Their rep did a good job during the sales visit and their installers thereafter were really good too. We were having a hard time getting up and down the steps and getting the stairlift has made it much easier for me to get up and down. I highly recommend them.

My mom can’t walk up and down the steps and the Bruno stairlift was awesome. The gentleman who came with the young man shared his experience and the joy he got out of installing these things to help people get up and down the steps and move around. He was good. Once they laid the pieces out, and got all the pieces laid out and the stuff set up, it took them no time to put it in. We had an experience where we couldn’t figure out why it was beeping and I called the gentleman back, and found out there wasn’t no life on the battery. He determined that it might be something with our electricity and we figured it out without having come back out.

My father-in-law is wheelchair-bound and he couldn’t do the steps. It was very hard for him and we wanted him to be able to come. We’re Jewish and Shabbat is the one day a week that we’ll spend together. He loves to come to us and we built a bedroom for him. He needs 22 steps to get in and he wasn’t able to do it. So, we were going to him but he was a half hour away from us, which was too much for my little ones to walk in the middle of the night. So, we purchased the Bruno and this way, he can come without doing the steps. He came one week and it was really good. It was amazing that he was able to come up without climbing all of our steps. The experience has been good so far.

We dealt with Westchester Stairlift and they were very nice. The stairlift came a week later than expected. There were some extenuating circumstances that couldn’t be helped but once they had it, it was installed and we were very happy. I just wish it wouldn’t be so expensive. We have another four steps, but it was too expensive to do the whole thing, so we just did the big thing and my husband carries my father-in-law up the four steps.
