The staff at Anthony & Sylvan are knowledgeable and helpful. If I have a question, they know what they're talking about and they help me find what I need in the store. But they need some more people in the store 'cause they don't answer their phone when they're busy.

I usually buy my chemicals at Anthony & Sylvan and they're always so helpful. They always seem to have everything that I need, like if I have a problem and I tell them, they make suggestions for materials since they have it available for me to purchase them. They also have things that I need that other stores don't have. Every time I go in, I get good service and I'm very happy.

I got my pool from Anthony & Sylvan and I've been using their opening and closing services. Anthony & Sylvan has been professional.

We set a date and they called me to tell me that they couldn't do the job twice. Eventually, I found out from friends of mine that the person whom they were trying to hire to do the job had been fired and Anthony & Sylvan wasn't going to hire anybody else this season yet they weren't telling me which ticked me off. So I moved on to another store. Still, I like Anthony & Sylvan's supplies better so I still come and use those.

Anthony & Sylvan is knowledgeable about pool installation, and I’ve been using them for 30 years now. When I bring problems to them, they are fairly specific as to the correction.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool and their specific pool techs who come out have been taking care of the pool since it was opened and they’re fantastic. If there are any issues, they take care of them for me quickly. And the crew at the store is always very willing to help me out. I would recommend Anthony & Sylvan to a friend.

Anthony and Sylvan is our neighborhood pool store and the previous owner of our home used their services to construct a pool. So, we continued to give them the business. I had a replaster done by them and their store staff was extremely knowledgeable. They've always recommended and suggested the proper chemicals to balance my pool pH and also remedy some other things like mold and algae.

Anthony & Sylvan built the pool and I have also used them to close it. Their location is convenient for me. And when I go in with questions about algae or some issues, they are generally pretty responsive and they seem to be able to provide me with solutions.

Communication = Crappy, they systematically dodge customers with problems. Math skills = Non existent. Documentation & receipts = They don't care and won't produce them. Accurate verbal statements = Nope. Everything was great during the sales process, but as soon as we canceled the contract, the experience became horrendous. Communication went to zero. We went weeks without responses. The managers never even acknowledged my issue until I filed a complaint with the BBB. They kept changing my refund amount. They refused to provide documentation. Their math didn't work.

We wanted a concrete pool and not too many people were doing them. A friend had used Anthony & Sylvan and so we went ahead with them. They opened and closed for us, and they’ve been here several times ‘cause we had a bunch of cracks in the pool. So, they were here doing a lot of repairs as well. They’re always on time and we never have issues after they leave. Everything is always done right the first time. Whenever we have a problem, they’re always quick to fix it.

We had Anthony & Sylvan install the pool 12 years ago and we went with them for our pool supplies as well. The store staff was knowledgeable and helpful and we're happy with the service. We come down every year from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and we've always been satisfied when we come down to get our opening and closing pool supplies.

Anthony & Sylvan put our pool in. So we had a three-year deal that we could sign up for opening and closing at a reduced rate. They had come out, opened and closed the pool and they were always well prepared. They also got their job done in a timely manner and they were professional. They were also here when they said they were gonna be here.

Anthony & Sylvan had installed our pool, so they closed it and we wanted them to open it for the first year so if anything went wrong, they’d be held accountable. The pool itself looks nice. But their coordination during the install and their communication were lacking. When we were evaluating and choosing the company that we were gonna go with, one of the things that they showed us was quality control, a schedule and a plan. I really liked that aspect of it and that’s honestly why we chose them. However, all that meant was that somebody just drives up to my house weekly and snaps a few photos when we’re not home, and then sends them in an email and says that it meets their approval. So, there was no coordination with the customer. It was just them approving it without the customer's input.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool. I had a part of the heater that went bad and my whole experience in dealing with their staff for that was positive. I would be using this company again for a renovation project and that's important.

I've worked with Anthony & Sylvan Pools for supplies and general information. They're right in our neighborhood and I just started buying my supplies up there. Their staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They test my water every week, give me a good analysis of what I need to add, and work through the small issues I've had. They give great advice.

I have worked with Anthony & Sylvan for a pool construction and I liked that the store staff has been knowledgeable. They were also very helpful in putting heavy things in the car. I had issues in the past with stains at the bottom of the pool and the manager at that time suggested using Vitamin C to take the stain out and that worked fine. The knowledge that they have is very helpful.

Anthony & Sylvan built our pool. It was a very challenging backyard to build a pool in and they were very attentive to detail. It was excellent because we had drainage and rock issues. There was a lot that was going on but they seemed to adjust their plan accordingly as to what came up. And the pool turned out beautiful. We've also used them for the opening and closing of the pool as well. In addition, if there is an issue, they come right out and fix it and with no questions asked.

I had an Anthony & Sylvan pool put in almost 20 years ago, and my daughter also has an Anthony & Sylvan pool. I have all the original equipment and it's all still running. I've changed little things like adding a salt system and ultraviolet, but everything works great. Everybody's very friendly and they always return my calls very quickly. The girl at the retail store is very nice. I've always had a good experience with them.

We searched for concrete pools in our area on a search engine and used Anthony & Sylvan for equipment maintenance as well as the opening and closing. They’re knowledgeable about what they’re doing. They’ve also been very helpful when we needed an issue corrected over the phone.

And we have been using them do all the openings and closing since. If we also had a problem, we would have a technician come out and help. Our favorite thing about working with them is their people. Glen is great. He always gives me tips to help me take care of my pool better.

We also purchased all new filtration and pumps which we had installed. This year, we purchased a pool heater and had them install it. We also had them open the pool and we wanna keep using them. My husband wanted a pool put in and Anthony & Sylvan was the closest to our home so he sought them out. In the very beginning, I didn’t have a good experience with Anthony & Sylvan. They broke my water line in digging my spa and my electrical line and told me to call them when I got it fixed. The pool opened and I had less than a month to enjoy it. I was not happy about that. I wrote a letter to the President and I got an "I'm sorry." I would not have recommended the company at that time.

Last year, when the pool was closed, we knew there was something wrong. It had been two weeks and it hadn't been making chlorine out of the salt system. They said that they would deal with it when it's opened. Opening came and they came, looked at it, took some things and got them replaced, but that didn't do it. They called someone and they discovered it was something else that needed replacement. They didn't have it with them. And so, it was a good two weeks later before I finally got an appointment to have someone come and replace it so my pool would be operating correctly.

My parents had an Anthony & Sylvan pool and it was over 30 years ago. And when I decided to get a pool, I went back to them. They built the pool and they also do the opening and closing service for it. The chemicals they put in keep the pool intact. When we open the pool, we've never had any problem and we don't have algae. We're able to start up the pool right away and be able to use it right away, and that's the best thing. We have a quality pool and their service is very good. However, the most difficult thing about Anthony & Sylvan was trying to get a hold of someone. The communication part is lacking. I usually plan my openings ahead, but I didn't remember the date and so I had to call four different numbers and leave messages. Calling the individual branches was very challenging from a customer's standpoint. But besides that, once they got here, they were great.

My parents put up a pool about 60 years ago and they have used Anthony & Sylvan. They're the best company in the world. I wouldn't buy anything else. We had them rehab the whole pool from start to finish. We also used them for opening and closing. I like the people from Anthony & Sylvan. Mike set it up at the rehab. He also estimated and walked us through the process. Jack did fantastic as well. He was the foreman for the job. He was there when we had any questions or problems. He ran himself in the property, took care of things for us and put us at ease. It was a great experience. Everyone from Anthony & Sylvan has been very helpful.

We've had a pool for almost 40 years now and we used Anthony & Sylvan before. They also came out when we had to get our pool renovated and we use their pool services for opening and closing. They're very good to work with. I like to call on the phone and the people who answer their phone are very effective. They can answer my questions and set things up. We've never had a problem with scheduling things with them. One time, we had ordered a pool cover and when it came, there were some problems with fitting it to the pool. So the next year, they took the cover. Then this year, they're going to redo it. They've been good enough that we've been able to use them every year with no problems.

Scheduling of the opening and closing with them has been extremely easy. It was just one phone call. The people that came out there were really great people to work with. Our pool pump motor went and within two days, they were here and they put a new one in. The people who installed it were very friendly, very nice and cleaned up easily. A family friend works at Anthony & Sylvan and recommended them. They've opened and closed our pool and also renovated it. I like the way that our pool was after the renovation. I had done an evaluation when we were building the pool, and Anthony & Sylvan built the pool, and we went right into having them service it after we built it. We were happy with the service, so we stayed with them. We use them for everything-- the opening, closing and weekly service maintenance. The people who have come out are very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I speak with the head service guy who comes out to our house on a weekly basis and he tells me everything that's going on, any concerns he has, anything that he would like us to focus on, and then tells me when he's going to be back. We're very pleased with our pool professional, Keith, who treats the pool as if it's his own and maintains it in that fashion.

Anthony & Sylvan refurbished my pool a couple of years ago and I’ve used their opening and closing services as well. They showed up on time when they said they were gonna be here. But after they did the refurb, there was a problem in the spa that was connected to the pool and they put the wrong size of eyeballs in there. I sent an email to my contact person about it and never got an answer. So, I resolved it on my own and paid for it since I got tired of waiting to hear from them.

I bought the house one year ago and the previous owner was using another company in Doylestown. I hired the same company to do a service in my pool and it was the worst experience I had in the United States. After that, I looked for another company, saw Anthony & Sylvan and asked them to come to my house. I used them to open and close my pool. Their people were nice and when they came, they didn't offer a service that was not necessary. I'm from Brazil where it's summer all the time. It’s not common to open and close the pool. When they were here the first time, they explained what will happen as well as what they were doing for me to understand why they were doing the service and why they were cleaning my device. Plus, their representative was patient in answering my questions.

I had Anthony & Sylvan open up my pool a couple of years ago. I've also used them for water testing in the retail store, but I mainly use them for opening and shutting down my pool. Their service has been very consistent. The pool crew always shows up when they say they're gonna show up. They always help explain things what they're working on and they're very communicative if they have issues. If they need to check into something or if they're unsure, they always check in, which makes me confident that they're paying attention. I'd recommend them.

I wanted to have my install done pretty simply with everything taken care of and chose to use Anthony & Sylvan for the whole pool install. However, I find it hard to get ahold of a lot of people. I have to do it in roundabout ways like texting the main guy that was on site for my pool dig to find out a number of other people. And when I left messages, they haven’t gotten back to me. I’m still in the process of having different things fixed and done and I am halfway satisfied now with them.

Anthony & Sylvan is a name I heard for years and I thought I’d call them out. I use them for the opening and closing service of my pool. The supervisor, Frank, did a great job and he’s the guy that kept everything grounded. But the biggest problem with them is that there is no communication. Other than that, everything about working with Anthony & Sylvan turned out nice in the end.

We worked with Rosemary of the Anthony & Sylvan in our area and she assisted us in replacing our pool. We had also gotten a recommendation from them for the pool maintenance but I didn't realize that they actually would come out, clean, and make certain that everything would be set up and closed down. I'm very pleased with the service that they provide. It's a little expensive but not considering the amount of work that has to be done. And in our case, especially since my husband has not been well and can no longer take care of the pool, it was really great for them to come out.

I’ve been associated with Anthony & Sylvan Pools for the past 12 years or so. Every year, they come out and do the opening and closing of my pool. They’re pretty experienced in what they do and give good service which is what I’m pretty impressed with. I've asked their reps about how much chlorine should I be adding from time to time or if I had to backwash it and put DE into the filter, and they were pretty efficient in answering that. I’ve been very satisfied with the service that Anthony & Sylvan provides every year.

The landscaper, Eagle Wings Business Network, was putting in a patio for us and when we decided to put in a pool, Anthony & Sylvan was recommended to us. I liked working with Van, who was Anthony & Sylvan’s supervisor of our project. Any time we had a question, he would answer in a decent amount of time. We had the opening and the closing of the pool done and for everything that their team came out for, I've been here the whole time.

We’ve used Anthony & Sylvan in the past. We started using them because our pool, which is an older one, is an original Sylvan pool. We've used them for seasonal opening and closing. They also did a pool renovation for us last summer and they installed a pool heater for us this summer. They’ve been very professional and responsive when we place a call. They come out when they say they’ll be there and complete the work as expected. And they always leave things very neat and clean. We’ve been happy with the work they did.

I’ve had an Anthony & Sylvan pool since 1986 and every year we have their people for opening and closing. Last year, I had a leak somewhere and Sean was very patient and persistent in helping me find the solution to the problem. Apparently, he had a lot of people who at the beginning of the season were experiencing some leakage, but he stayed with me until we found out what the problem was, which was basically the drain seal that needed tightening. So, I’d like to specifically commend him. Anthony & Sylvan's people are very responsive and they get to know us, their customers, personally and try to help with whatever issue that we have. Generally there are no issues, but if something comes up, they wanna make it right. And they're very accommodating with my schedule as well.

We have been using Anthony & Sylvan Pools for years. They built the original pool 69 and they were also part of re-plastering the pool about 10 years or so ago. We always go to their stores, use their own chemicals and have the water tested. We use them only if there's a problem. They are easy to work with and I also like their knowledge. Also, whenever I have some questions about the pressure and about some upkeep chemicals, they have been helpful. However, the only disappointment that we have had is buying a pool tarp to winterize the pool that has been very thin. They do not make them like they used to anymore. Nevertheless, Joe, who opened the pool, Sid, the guy at the store, and everybody has been great. Nobody has stirred us in the wrong direction.

Our neighbors who have pools told us about Anthony & Sylvan and I got them for the opening and closing of my pool. They have a lady in the office in the service department who's very responsive. When I first opened the new pool, the guy who did it was extremely helpful. He was very pleasant to call in and would give me advice. Overall, I had a good experience with Anthony & Sylvan and I'd recommend them to friends.

We are now working on resolving the aforementioned issues: LED controls and the visible PVC conduits.

A few years ago Anthony & Sylvan had a promotion and I called them and set up their services. They have been doing the opening and closing of my pool for the last three years now. I have an ongoing contract with them so I don't have to remember that I have them set up. It makes it easy for me because I'm not a young fellow anymore. They are nice and friendly young people. I've always gotten along very well with them. Also they've always come on time and done a good job. I can't ask for any more than that.

The Anthony & Sylvan people are good at getting back to me. I heard about this company through a mailer and chose them for their reputation. I have a weekly cleaning service with them and they open and close my pool. They also redid my pool. They are professional, polite and helpful.

Anthony & Sylvan built our pool and we also used them to maintain all sorts of equipment and to replace the heater, valve and recently, the pump. In addition, we like that they describe what's going on, they raise any concerns that they have and they tell us if we need any proactive follow-up action. If they want us to take care of it, they will automatically add that to our service recorded. We used other vendors for opening and closing in the first three years, but we did not find them as reliable and consistent in service as Anthony & Sylvan especially when it comes to setting up an appointment and keeping the date and the time.

We use Anthony & Sylvan for openings, closings and equipment maintenance. They were also the builders of the pool. I just call them up and make an appointment then they come down. They do the job right and price me correctly.

When I was looking for someone to maintain the pool, I decided that I would go with the folks that had installed it 15 years ago. Anthony & Sylvan would know the most about the pool. We've used them for opening and weekly maintenance and then we’ll also close. Aside from that, they’ve done some repair work. They installed a new chlorinator and something else for the bath filter.

Anthony & Sylvan had the best price at the time and their salesman was excellent. However, they came to open the pool up and the light didn't work. They're supposed to order one of the lights and I haven't heard back in four weeks. I'm with Anthony & Sylvan by default, not because I think it's the greatest thing in the world but because everybody else charges the same price and there's no competition out there that I see. They all essentially do the same thing. On the other hand, individually, Anthony & Sylvan has some great people. Some of the techs that come out here and some of their people when I call on the phone are excellent.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools is a local company and a friend of mine, Neil, works for them and referred me to them, and I reached out to them to get a pool. We used their services originally for a pool installation in 2002 and we've used them too for yearly openings and closings, as well as for repair work over the course of the years. I had a coping problem that was hard to nail down and they came out every year and tried to fix it. They finally did a resolution and I was very happy last year when they came out and made the repair on the coping. They did a phenomenal job and they went all out at very minimal cost. I like Anthony & Sylvan's attention to detail and their professionalism, not only with the work that they do but with the people that they employ.

I've used Anthony & Sylvan services from installing the pool to opening and closing. They're responsive and I love the pool design that they came up with. Once we were able to get to the point where they were building the pool, it went really well and efficient. The pool looks beautiful. Those I've worked with as far as the project management of it as well as the service guys that have come out have been fantastic. Everything has been good except for a couple of issues that just need to get fixed.

We've had a pool for 17 years and we have Anthony & Sylvan's pool services for opening and closing, and equipment maintenance. I wish, though, that the technicians would have a little more verbalization with us about what’s going on when they come out. For instance, they said our heater needed cleaning and they’d do it when they come back, but I wasn’t here and they just left a note. But other than that, they’re a good company and their technician, Vince, did a great opening and closing for us.

We have an Anthony & Sylvan pool which was installed about 40 years ago and we use the company for closing. This year, we had to have the pool re-plastered. My husband takes care of the pool but he has been in the hospital. So, it has been me with the assistance of everybody from Anthony & Sylvan showing me how to take care of this pool. Two guys have been here to open the pool for me and put in the new ladder. Also, I've been at the store in Doylestown every other day for the last three weeks. So, they've been great.

I had the pool put in by Anthony & Sylvan and we continued with the service as we move forward. We've had all of our opening and closings for the last four years with them. Also, we purchased a heater from them which they installed. Up until recently, I had a problem with them returning phone calls but they've gotten much better on that. They respond and that's the main thing. Everything has been okay and they're pretty good.

They came and looked at the backyard. We had some big trees and they said we should take them down. We had enough room and I told them I wanted a big pool. And it is a big pool. It's one of the biggest that they have. As for the service, it was very good. They came and did the job of taking the cover off and closing the pool for me.

We didn’t know about the saline and automation and an iPad or an arc point pad is used to start the saline up and buttons were pushed on the control by the pool. However, those were not working so I called for technician support.

We have owned our house for 20 years and we’ve always had Anthony & Sylvan come out and open and close the pool for me, which was installed before we bought the house. It’s an old pool. They’ve always done everything and everything’s been fine. If there’s any problem, I contact them to have whatever problem fixed. When we moved here we had a couple of other people come out because there were a couple of problems with the equipment. We had to have a new pump put in for the pool and the other companies put in a pump that wasn’t big enough for the pool. They didn’t seem to be able to fix it and didn’t seem to know what the problem was. We had Anthony & Sylvan come out and put in the right size pump and no problem. My favorite thing about working with them is their technicians are able to diagnose the problem and recommend whatever needs to be done to fix it.

Back in 1965, Sylvan Pools put this pool in the backyard. I had to have it refurb after my dad passed away because he didn't do anything with it. So, Anthony & Sylvan came out and refurb the whole pool. They reskinned the plaster and put new coating, new filter, and new tiles. And they did an excellent job. They did all of my openings and closings too. Everybody has always been very courteous and polite. They knew what they were doing and they did their job. The salesman that came out was great. He came back, went through on how to take care of the filter because I'm not really good at that kind of stuff. So he came back twice.

Most of the contractors they hired were absolutely awful and did a horrific job. But I had a huge problem with the customer service reps. They were very slow to get back to me and one of them was nasty. But I love the retail store, which is my favorite. Rick, the rep at the retail store, is a nice guy and he has been spot on with his chemicals and his help.

The previous owner had a pool installed by Anthony & Sylvan and I liked it. I was in the store the other day and I did a water testing. They made some recommendations and we tried to adjust the pool. They did everything I needed and I like that they call me to set up the opening and closing months in advance. But something bad happened. We’re selling our house and for the buyer, we have to put in a new pool heater which is $3,300 and which we’re paying for. We will also have new grouting, mortar between the bricks and new caulking, and we’re paying for those as well. The buyer of our house called Anthony & Sylvan six to seven times and begged for them to accommodate him. But it’s too busy that time of year and they don’t have time to take care of him.

I deal with Fred, Don and Vince, who is the lead technician, and they have been excellent.
