Our son down in Texas had an in ground pool put in and he had Anthony & Sylvan do it. He was very happy with them so we went with Anthony & Sylvan too for pool services. They've opened and closed our pool. And when I needed parts, I go to them first. Also, Anthony & Sylvan has done a few repairs for us. The people from Anthony & Sylvan are very nice and easy to talk to. They give you answers to your questions. They've always been very reliable and their work is good. I also spoke to a rep on the phone and she was very helpful.

I've been with Anthony & Sylvan for years. I use them for my opening and closing every year. I also used them when I had my pool resurfaced, a new edge coating applied, and a new tile installed.

I heard good things about Anthony & Sylvan Pools from friends and I had them build my pool. But they contracted the work out and that was what I had the most trouble with. Most of the contractors they hired were absolutely awful and did a horrific job. But I had a huge problem with the customer service reps. They were very slow to get back to me and one of them was nasty. But I love the retail store, which is my favorite. Rick, the rep at the retail store, is a nice guy and he has been spot on with his chemicals and his help.

Sometimes they change my schedule up depending on the weather and they're very accommodating. When they open the pool, I've never had an issue and then we enjoy our pool. It's just what I paid for and it's very worth it. Their staff is very generous. They gave me a nice deal on a heater installation and they did a really nice job with the install.

The previous owner had a pool installed by Anthony & Sylvan and I liked it. I was in the store the other day and I did a water testing. They made some recommendations and we tried to adjust the pool. Also, the service techs and the people who opened and closed the pool were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They also got the job done and I have been happy with everything. The only issue we had was we put a new pump in last week and they were gonna send somebody out to give us some estimate but that never happened. Ironically, the pump died that day. I called back and they were able to service it within 24 hours. So, we were happy about that.

Anthony & Sylvan put our pool in and they open and close it every year. And then we bought our new pool pump from them. The staff, as well as working with them, is my favorite thing about the pool. They did everything I needed and I like that they call me to set up the opening and closing months in advance. But something bad happened. We’re selling our house and for the buyer, we have to put in a new pool heater which is $3,300 and which we’re paying for. We will also have new grouting, mortar between the bricks and new caulking, and we’re paying for those as well. The buyer of our house called Anthony & Sylvan six to seven times and begged for them to accommodate him. But it’s too busy that time of year and they don’t have time to take care of him.

I ran into a gentleman at a pool store and we just got talking. He talked about a remodel he did with his pool with Anthony & Sylvan. So, I gave them a shot and decided to have them remodel my pool. I also had them for a pool opening. I deal with Hart most of the time and he is very friendly and polite. I like that the people from Anthony & Sylvan have been generally responsive too. However, it's been a couple of weeks since I put in a claim for a piece of brick that we noticed was broken on the pool and we haven't heard back from them. Still, I would recommend them.

We had a friend who works for Anthony & Sylvan's renovations and whenever we renovated our pool, we ended up going with them. And that stuck with us since then. We've had them open and close our pool. They also installed a new heater and did heater maintenance, motor maintenance and a renovation. I really like the technician we had. It never felt like he was overselling us and he always gave us good information about what we needed to do. He was honest and told us what improvements he thought needed to happen and which ones were okay to hold off on.

When I moved into my house the existing pool owner told me he has always gone with Anthony & Sylvan pool. So I used them as well for pool services as well. I like working with them. I deal with Fred, Don and Vince, who is the lead technician, and they have been excellent. I had a little problem at the beginning of the season with one of the technicians but it was resolved by them by sending Vince out. Vince then was able to remedy the situation and help me troubleshoot a lot of issues that I had going on.

And I really like my service guy, Luis. He always comes anytime we've had an opening and closing and one time when we had a service. I know my pool is in good hands.

They put my pool in many years ago, then they redid my entire pool last year from plastering to caulking and tiling, and the opening and closing for this year. I like how they communicate. I get phone calls from them before the services and they're always fast and efficient. We've used Anthony & Sylvan to open and close our pool ever since they built it four years ago. This is our fourth season that they've opened a pool for us and they've always been on time and very professional. If there's ever been an issue with any of the equipment, they've always had extra parts and they fix it right on the spot. We have a freeform pool that was built in 2000 and we were using a pool company for it, but we were dissatisfied with their service. Anthony & Sylvan had an office right across the street from that company, so we decided to try them out. We used them to open and close the pool and we have been very pleased with their service. I go to their retail store to pick up most of the pool chemicals that I add myself and the retail folks are fine. Everybody in their organization is top-shelf and I'm pleased. Anthony & Sylvan built our free-form 5-year old pool and we have a raised hot tub. We like having family time in it. We've seen Anthony & Sylvan's name and they had the best price. They re-plastered our pool because it was peeling. Their project manager was beyond amazing but the scheduling was not the best. The team forgot to put us on the schedule so we had some problems getting started. But once we got started, it went smoothly. The team was good and they got the job done quickly. I also use Anthony & Sylvan services for the opening and closing of the pool. The team responds and they get back to me with any questions or problems I have.

This is a follow up from September 2017 when our pool was completed. Corporate was notified of issues with the project manager and salesperson and certain crews involved. After investigation corporate went above and beyond to make things right. We were especially appreciative of Joe and Michelle of the Houston corporate office and Owen of the Pennsylvania headquarters. Together they made everything happen. We are delightfully satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Anthony and Sylvan pools to anyone.

We got Anthony & Sylvan through a recommendation from someone. They do the opening, closing and the bi-weekly services for the pool. I have a heart condition this year and I can’t do the work myself. And Anthony & Sylvan has taken that burden off me. They're very cooperative and they've made the water look better than we were able to. They got a new machine that really made a difference.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools installed my pool about 12 years ago and I enjoyed their services ever since. I've been using their services for opening and closing and when I need repairs to be done on the pool. They're very polite and they seem to understand and know the problem. They walked me through trying to diagnose the problem myself and trying to fix it myself before they come out and service it. And if I can't do it, they have no issue coming out to the remote area I live in in Pennsylvania. There have been different people at different times and they tell me what they were doing and what to look for. It has been a good experience and I've recommended them.

I've had the pool since I bought the house. It has a spa, it's concrete and it's especially made like a designed pool. I got the information in the mail from Anthony & Sylvan at one point when I had the pool redone and they were fabulous. I requested for information and they sent somebody out, and he was very informative. They kept up with me every day and made sure everything was done correctly by the end of the day. And then, they called me the next morning and let me know what was going to be done that day. The guys that come out are definitely very nice. Also, I like the look of the pool right now 'cause it's newly tiled and everything's fresh. Anthony & Sylvan is a full-service company and they're able to handle anything to do with the pool. I'd recommend them to anybody.

We had the pool installed in 2008 and we always knew that Anthony & Sylvan was a household name. They were one of those who we did a consultation and an estimate with. And then we decided that they would be the best fit for what we wanted to do. Their quick response to everything as well as their knowledge is our favorite about them. Ben is always very good at explaining what the problems are. He goes over everything and how to work things. He's very patient too. Anthony & Sylvan does equipment maintenance for the pool and we also use them for pool opening and closing. Since they built the pool, we know that there's probably no one else out there that could repair it better than they can. With my experience with them, I would definitely recommend Anthony & Sylvan to a friend.

Anthony & Sylvan is extremely dependable and prompt. I had them build the pool and I chose them because they were the best pool builders in the area. I have also used their opening, closing and maintenance services as needed. I like that we always have the same people. We don’t have to deal with a new person every time we make a call. In 1983 we had our Anthony & Sylvan pool put in and initially, the people who opened the pool contracted with a local pool service. I dealt with that service for 30 years, and then they sold their business to another group and the other group that came in and took over didn't do a very good job. And so, I looked in the telephone book and came up with Anthony & Sylvan. I figured, who better than the people who originally built the pool to service it? I contacted them and for the last couple of years, I've been dealing strictly with them regarding the opening and closing the pool.

We found Anthony & Sylvan four years ago when looking for a pool contractor and we’ve worked with them from the beginning. They built our pool then they open and close it as well. They’ve been very reliable. They have delivered their promises and done a good job. We were unhappy initially with the way the lining of the pool turned out but they went and did extra to make sure that the pool was completed to our satisfaction, including completely replacing it. We were very pleased that they went through that effort to make sure that we were happy. So the customer service person is important. All of the teams that come out to open and close the pool are very knowledgeable, courteous and organized also.

My pool is 5 years old, Anthony and Sylvan has plastered my pool 3 times already... And it's still not right. Just uncovered for the winter to find pieces of cracked plaster and cracks in the plaster. The plaster contractor they use is unbelievably incompetent and very poor quality work. I hired another company to come in and tell me what was wrong with my plaster, and they assure me that the only way to have these indications is from the plaster being either mixed or troweled improperly when it was applied. Do yourself a favor and do your research and find a good quality pool builder that knows how to stand behind their products. You WILL NOT get that with Anthony and Sylvan. If it would have allowed me I would have given them 0 stars.

I use Anthony & Sylvan mostly for openings and closings but also occasionally when there has been an issue and something needed to be repaired. They’re always knowledgeable. They show up on time, do what they're supposed to do then go away. They do a good job.

Anthony & Sylvan built our pool for us a couple of years ago then we continued using them. We use them for opening and closing. They also installed the heater and fixed the pipe when we broke it. Their workers are friendly and easy to talk to. They're also helpful. They answer any question I have. Even if they're dumb questions, they're happy to answer them. We're happy with Anthony & Sylvan.

I have wanted a pool my whole life and I had a friend who uses Anthony & Sylvan. Anthony & Sylvan had three different teams that worked on my pool. They were on time and did what they said they were going to do. Our interactions, on the most part, were handled well. All was done and I was impressed. They made a beautiful 22,000-gallon salt water pool in my backyard and I really like its salt water feature. They also made a heater. This is my fourth year with the pool and I use it almost every day. I look forward to swimming throughout the summer.

Customer Service is supposed to be a service for the customer. At this company there is never a person on the line to answer, they always have a recording. They say they will call back but rarely do and if they do it takes weeks. We have a company where there are 6 people in Customer Service. We always have a person answering the phone. We also have email access to customer service for off hours. Anthony and Sylvan have nothing like this. It is more like customer disservice. We have been trying to get our (warranted) pool leaks fixed for a year. They worked on it in the Autumn but have not come back. They don't stand up to their warranty claims. Now we just want the pool opened for the warm weather and we will deal with the slow leak when the season is over. They have not responded to this request for weeks.

Anthony & Sylvan put my pool in and I've been using them for the last eight years. I use them for seasonal opening and closing of the pool, including any repair work that might need to be done. All the people who come are efficient, very nice, and they get the job done. This year, when some rodents chewed on a wire, the guy who opened the pool was able to fix it instead of having somebody else come. So he went above and beyond to help out and it was very good of him.

Our pool should have already been completed. We are being held up by a poor quality tiling/coping job done by “Andrew's Tiling and Coping Company”. The fault lies with “Anthony & Sylvan Pools” though, because these are their subcontractors. We call and email and are given promise after promise w/o resolution. They don’t call back when they say they will. Our pool is already paid in full. (Our very bad mistake, we trusted them). I cannot even express the extent of my disappointment, not just that the pool isn’t completed but, that a company and the people who work for that company, can treat people this way.

Some of our neighbors recommended Anthony & Sylvan and so they built our pool last year. I also use them for closing and opening the pool. They did a nice job opening it and their team is very professional.

This is not a company to deal with. My pool was "done" by Anthony & Sylvan pools back in 2015 and it is not in use as of now. The quality of work and materials they did install are so poor (cheap), taking to consideration that they have no in house crew, they used subcontractors with very little professional skills and experience (cheap). My pool is totally out of use after they have done re-plastering. I was asking them to do something about it and fix all that was not done right, did not get any help, everything they put on me that is my fault. The garbage, after work was done, they buried in the back yard, total disaster.

I've wanted a pool for a long time but getting it put in was not a pleasant experience. We had a lot of trouble with getting individual things done. Each one got lost in a rabbit hole of Anthony & Sylvan's business offices here, and there was a lot of delay. But once I found the individuals and was able to talk to them one on one, especially the guys at the Chantilly office and their pool service people, everything went real well.

We've been using Anthony & Sylvan's pool service for three years now. Their employees are all courteous, nice, and they know what they’re doing. One of their employees, Frank, is great. He's the one that always comes to open and close our pool. We also had some warning issues with their team but they’ve been taken care of.

I’ve had pools all my life and I had wanted to get an inground pool for the last 10 years. I heard about Anthony & Sylvan through their reputation and name in the area. They installed the pool then I also purchased a coverage through them. They've closed and opened the pool in the three years that I’ve had it. Anytime I’ve had service people scheduled to come here, they’ve always been prompt, efficient and very professional. They have an excellent workforce. Anthony & Sylvan built our pool 10 years ago. We were not pleased with the construction manager and the whole construction process but we used them for their opening and closing services initially because those were part of our contract. Then the local technicians have been very pleasant and informative so we stayed with them for the opening and closing. I also like the people that I talk to on the phone. We’ve been using Anthony & Sylvan for 10 years and I would recommend them to others for their maintenance services.

I’ve been a customer with Anthony & Sylvan for 15 years. We would call and email to contact them and that has been a great experience. They open, close and provide weekly treatment and cleaning services. They inform me before they come and they are really responsible, committed and on time. When I have an issue, they come and respond right away so they are really good. It’s excellent service and I highly recommend them. The pool is great and I'm enjoying it.

Anthony & Sylvan was the installer of my pools and we also have them open and close the pool. They’re prompt and their service is really good. Their team is very kind, courteous and professional. And they're very good at what they do.

We had Anthony & Sylvan install our pool in the beginning of August of 2017 and we are still waiting on the completion. Our pool was opened for the first time last week and still have no clue what chemicals and how much to use and operate the pool vacuum. I was told it takes a couple of weeks for a "indoc" to be scheduled (why open a pool and let it sit with no chemicals or the ability to vacuum if your customers have to wait for another appointment weeks later?) not to mention that there are lines going down the sides of my pool from when the plaster was installed on a rainy day last year!! I was told I now have to go through the warranty process since it’s outside of 30 days (which it was pointed out to my PM last year). Every time I call to discuss my concerns, I get passed to another person and they give me a totally different story from the last person I spoke to.

Anthony & Sylvan is very professional. They do the pool weekly service and chemicals. They were friendly and easy to deal with when they came to open the pool. I was very pleased and I would recommend them.

After Anthony & Sylvan installed them, they never worked even after several return visits by A/S electrical and gas contractors. It was concluded that the igniters were defective and not suited to our environment. Anthony & Sylvan offered to convert them to manual ignition. I did not purchase "manual ignition," and do not want manual ignition. They also failed electrical inspection.

Anthony & Sylvan built the pool and I’ve had them open and close all the time for years. They explained to me how everything is going. I always watch them and I ask questions, and they answer the questions promptly and nicely. They were very nice when they were closing the pool and informative, too. I already recommended Anthony & Sylvan to people down the street.

Out of the three companies I was looking at, Anthony & Sylvan's customer service was by far superior than the others. I had them install a pool for me which they closed in the fall and would be opening in the spring for me. Everyone that’s come out to help with the build was phenomenal and has top-notched communication. It was pleasant of them to inform me with everything that they were doing. And anytime I would call, they'd be right on top of things. They would explain things step-by-step and would have all the right answers.

I had that for a good many years but I wanted a top-quality, concrete or gunite installation so I chose Anthony & Sylvan because of their reputation. When you go to their retail stores, their people in the retail stores are so helpful. They know everything about my pool. Every time I’ve been in there for water treatments and for chemistry, they got it down.

I've been using chemicals from Anthony & Sylvan since I opened the pool, and I also use their equipment. I like that they are local and the person who installed my pool said that she uses their stuff too. They check my water occasionally when I ask to. It doesn't cost me anything and they're on track of what I needed. We recommend them.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool and I called them for service since the company that normally does it was unavailable. I made sure that Anthony & Sylvan was available when I called and I had them for the opening and closing of the pool, which was convenient. Scheduling the service was very easy and convenient as well, and they came fairly quickly compared to other companies. Everything was finished and neatly put away when I came home. Everything was folded and the hoses were wrapped up. They were very thorough and organized. They did a really great job as far as attention to detail.

I’ve tried several local pool people and was very dissatisfied, so I called Anthony & Sylvan who put this pool in 30 years ago and they’ve been easy to work with. I told them my problem, they set a date and they were here when they said they’re going to be. They did the closing of the pool and equipment upgrades. Two years ago, I had them close the pool. Everything went beautifully and they installed one of the safety covers for me that year as well. When I went to open the pool the next spring, I could not get one of the plugs out that they had put in as part of the closing. I called them, they sent a three people team that arrived four hours after I called and they were here for almost two hours solving the problem.

We also had a great project manager and a sales guy, so I'm very happy with them. Harold and Robert, whom we dealt with the most, were really good to work with.

I was building a rather extraordinary pool so I chose Anthony & Sylvan because they were leaders in the market. The pool is free-form and it has the largest spa that Anthony & Sylvan makes as well as a shower beach entry. Plus, the spa is easy to maintain. The communication while building the pool was timely and regular. There were a few problems that popped up along the way but they rectified those to make us happy because it was clearly something that they had overlooked. I've wanted a pool for 10 years and now, I'm looking forward to the gathering of family and friends.

Most of my experience with Anthony and Sylvan has been negative. But the opening and closing has not been an issue. The one person that I've had good interaction with is Alicia.

We had Anthony & Sylvan install a pool. They put it in about five years ago and we just kept with them ever since for maintaining, opening and closing it. They come when they say they're going to come. They are polite and courteous and they always explain what they're doing. My husband is the one who meets with them and they explained to him how to help the pool and keep the level of the chemicals. They gave him extra tips and hints as well. I always enjoyed following them around and listening to them. I’d recommend them for sure.

The previous owners had Anthony & Sylvan install the pool and we continued using them. They open and close the pool, maintain the equipment, and they also completely redid it. Their team follows up on things, is always around and helpful and does a good job. The only negative about them is that they're a little on the pricey side. However we have confidence in them so we're willing to pay a little bit more.

The people that come to do the opening and closing are usually very knowledgeable and they're very happy to answer questions. They do the job a lot better than I ever could and they're very efficient about it. I haven't had any complaints about that part of the service and they do a really nice job. When they come, I usually have some questions about the water and how it is or the things about the equipment. And they're always happy to take the time and stop and answer questions that I have. They usually give good answers. The manager that I worked with at the retail store recently has also been very helpful. He has repaired some of our pool cleaners for me a couple of times and he's been very good to work with as well.

I heard good stuff about Anthony & Sylvan that's why I went with them for my pool installation and my service. They installed my pool and they've done some work with caulking around the pool. I get my chemicals from them and I open and close my pool with them. Anthony & Sylvan follows up and they’re proficient. I don't have to constantly call them but when they come out, they do an excellent job and I'm very pleased with their service. They've been courteous and professional and they deal with me in a timely fashion. I don't have to wait on them and I'm pleased with that. My wife and I will continue doing business with them and I’d recommend them.

Anthony & Sylvan was prompt. They were okay to work with during opening and closing except for the subcontractors when I had my pool resurfaced. I was never really angry with them though, just the contractors.

One time I called them because I had a minor problem with the filtering system, of which they did not charge me and I was very impressed. That’s why I called them to close the pool this year. It’s been trouble-free the whole time I’ve owned it. It’s been uneventful, problem-wise and that’s a good thing. Everything’s great and I would certainly use them again.

She responds directly to me, asks for pictures if she doesn’t understand what I’m talking about, and gets the answers that I need to know. They make family events happen because they care about their work and when we get to use the pool it's always in good condition.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools seemed to be knowledgeable in the industry and they were referred by some friends that had pools installed by them. We them install a new pool back in spring and they just did the closing. Their team seemed to responsive when we called for service.

We use their services for the opening and closing of the pool. However, there have been issues with the organizer. But, the actual people doing the work have been great. There have been occasions where they fill up and we had no idea they were going to be here during the assembly so some of the communication has been less than sterling on many occasions. But, the quality of work is first-rate and I would recommend Anthony & Sylvan.

We’ve been using Anthony & Sylvan for almost seven years now since we took over the ownership of the home and pool. They do the opening and closing of our pool and we’ve been very happy with their service. I like Anthony & Sylvan for their flexibility, professionalism, and independence. We don’t have a very big backyard and Anthony & Sylvan was the only one that was willing to take on the job. When they were putting the pool in, they called and let us know what was going on. Plus, for any questions I would call down, they would answer right away for me. If they couldn’t, they would get back to me. We’ve only had the pool for two years and they have opened it once and closed it. We also go there and buy some pool supplies that we need. Their people are really nice and they have been good with everything we’ve had asked them for. They’re willing to work with customers to help them put a pool in if they're interested.

We had a neighbor who had Anthony & Sylvan install their pool, and they were very happy with the service and how it was done. We went with Anthony & Sylvan as well for opening and closing. They are easy to work with and they always contact me so I don’t have to worry about remembering to call them to get our service scheduled. If I have any questions, they’re able to answer them when they are at the house. The Anthony & Sylvan team closed our pool this time, and it was very helpful. On the day before we closed, my husband told me that our pump wasn’t working, so when they came to close it, we didn’t have a pump. I told them to just close the pool and we will take care of it. But then they had one that is available for us to buy, and it’s a good one. I was so happy that they had that available and could take care of that for us.

You can tell that customer satisfaction means a lot to them based on follow up actions. They can do a better job at coordinating projects along the way. The quality of the overall product was good.

I'm originally from New Jersey where we knew quite a few people that had Anthony & Sylvan pools and service. When we moved down here to Maryland, we decided to get a pool, too. We looked into a few other companies and we decided on Anthony & Sylvan since they're a reliable company that stood behind their product and they offered us a lot more options on what we wanted to be done in our backyard. They open and close our pool and I like their flexibility and reliability. They're also extremely helpful when it comes to any pool issues.

The house we bought in 2004 had a pool which was built by Anthony & Sylvan and we continued the service since then. We enjoy working with them and we get the VIP treatment. They open our pool, service it every week once a week, put chemicals in it and clean it, then close it. They also provide us other services items related to our heater. We call them and they always respond and care for our problems. A couple of years ago, we did our outdoor patio surfaces and the company that was doing it broke through the pipe. They did not have that with them and it was an oversight from the original review of what was required. Basically, when they closed the pool, they took out the wrong piece and I've got all my accounts that when they come and open the pool in spring, they'll bring the additional capacity with them and put that in place at no charge. We don't have to be here when they do the work, but if we are, they're really good at explaining what they're doing and making sure that if I have any questions, those questions get answered before they leave.
