Subs were messy and unreliable as expected. Cracked the neighbor's driveway with their Bobcat. Kool Deck has 7 hairline cracks on the surface. Anthony Sylvan said that they do not warranty the cracks unless you can fit a quarter in it. I contacted Kool Deck and they said this is not normal.

They all use subcontractors who don't give a darn what kind of work is done since Sylvan pays them nothing for the jobs. The excavator was more worried about his old 97 truck making it home than doing a good job digging, the electrician wanted an extra 500 cash to do the job correctly, my project mgr Sean is a complete joke. Never gets back, lies his tail off. My salesman Jarrod is another joke. After grabbing my check he disappears. This was nothing but a nightmare. Do not deal with these jacks. I probably was spoiled by having a pool built 20 years ago by Crystal Pools where the owner and the children did the work and really cared about what was built and the customers and they are still doing it with the grandkids working. Go with them. I beg you or Good 'ol don't be idiot like me and get sucked in by these liars from Sylvan. Please contact me anytime. I have video and picts of the lousy workmanship. ** Tom **

We had our in home consultation on June 7th, 2019 with Cherokee from Anthony & Sylvan. About a week later we went to finalize our design and sign the contract. We were told that we could save thousands of dollars by demoing the area ourselves as well as buying the mosaics we wanted from another vendor to save money. I was given a list of to do’s before they can dig. By July 3rd, we had already finished clearing the yard and had the pool paid in full. I sent updated pictures and was told it looked great. On July 15th we were told that the scheduler would be calling to schedule our meet and greet with Cherokee and the project manager. By Monday July 29th we hadn’t heard anything so I sent a text to Cherokee asking why we haven’t heard anything. She responded Thursday, August 1st with a text saying that there was an issue with our paperwork so they had to redo it.

A representative from Anthony Sylvan reached out to me on 8/21 and offered what I feel is a very fair and reasonable solution to our issue. They are taking exactly the kind of steps to stand behind their work that I hoped to receive from the start. I am completely satisfied with the planned course of action and the assistance that I received from Kevin in response to my review here.

Warranty/Quality is a joke! Pool completed in Oct 2018, however, the 2 bubblers we paid extra for, have never worked properly. They say they do not know how to fix the issues, and they have "exhausted all their resources". Must be the 1st pool they have built with bubblers in the 70 plus years they have been in business! If you are looking to build a new pool, stay away!

We have enjoyed our pool for almost a month now, but buyer beware!! First off, the sales department... Steve is a great salesman. He’s very professional and he answered all our questions. He made us feel very comfortable with choosing A&S. Second, the excavating... went great. They finished in record time, which was surprising for all the rock we had. Third... the rest of the pool build. This is where they severely lacked in customer service.

We’ve used Anthony & Sylvan for their retail store, testing our water, and for giving us recommendations. We also had them when we had service done on our pool for the first time since we moved in. They were easily accessible and were on time. They were also very friendly and courteous with the whole service installation. They asked if we had any questions. They were willing to come back and check things that we had questions about. They also took away any messes they made. They made sure all the boxes were put into the truck. They did great work.

I contracted several pool people to look at designing the pool and I had an Anthony pool about 30 years ago. I liked my experience and when the designer came to lay out the pool design for us, I was very pleased. I also use them for opening and closing, as well as maintenance or service if I had a problem with my pool. When they come, they look for any problems without asking. They’re always courteous, friendly, and good at what they do. They also talk to you and don’t just come and hurry up out of there. They make sure everything is right before they go. I’m very pleased with their service and with the pool itself, because it’s maintenance-free and it’s given us a lot of pleasure.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool 20 years ago and I use their opening and closing services. The weekly service guys are very friendly and we're all on a first-name basis. They take care of the pool and they like my dogs. They always are on top of everything and answered any questions here that I need very timely and professionally. I haven't had any problems with Anthony & Sylvan and I really enjoy the weekly service. It's a nice thing to have during summer.

My neighbor had an Anthony & Sylvan pool and we decided to use them as well for the opening and closing of our pool. We use them for some maintenance and water testing, too. One time, my pool cleaner stopped working and Anthony & Sylvan took it. They brought it in and worked on it for me. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. I also like the convenience of going to their stores and getting feedback on my pool. It was nearby my house and I could go in the area. They also gave me really good advice on what to do with my pool. But they closed the area store that we had back in Moore.

When we bought the house, the previous owner used Anthony & Sylvan for the lights for the duration of the pool. The owner was strict with his pool and he wanted to see it clean all the time. They explained to me that they had tried to take a couple of different routes throughout the years and they regretted it. They recommended Anthony & Sylvan so that we didn't have any regrets. This is my first year owning a pool. Anthony & Sylvan closed it last and they opened it this year. They've done a lot more than just lights. A lot of my friends told me they could find someone a lot cheaper for me. But that really didn't matter because I wanted a proper job done. All our interactions over the phone with Anthony & Sylvan were very professional and very courteous. Their secretary was very polite. She returned my phone calls immediately which I really liked. I was working when the pool guys came but did their thing.

Anthony & Sylvan did my pool build then we use them for opening and closing, and warranty repairs. I haven't had as much success with the warranty team but for opening and closing, Ben is the person who always comes and he's fabulous. He is super customer-focused and very friendly. He is very clean and efficient every time he comes, as well as very helpful with any questions I have.

This review of Anthony and Sylvan pools is to reflect Anthony and Sylvan pool sales, construction process and our experience in Severna Park, Maryland. Summary. The pool is not completed yet. I intended to wait until the end of the project to review, but our experience has been so disappointing, caused so much stress and so problematic, I'll re-post if anything improves. They started with five stars and four stars were gone before Anthony and Sylvan even dug the hole. So, I started with five stars again for the next project phase, all four gone before the next phase. So I started every single week with five stars, but most stars were gone before the fifth day and so on... At every opportunity I'll note when something was done correctly.

We had a neighbor that had the pool with Anthony & Sylvan. At that time, they were the pool store that was closest to us. We go to the store and buy chemicals. Anthony & Sylvan has done openings and closings for us for the last three or four years. So far, we're very happy with our pool. Being a homeowner with a pool, especially the first time, you're not really aware of all the things that come along with it. But Anthony & Sylvan has always been able to help us out when we have questions.

Anthony & Sylvan is a local company with a fantastic reputation. I was shopping around because I was unhappy with my previous pool service. So I gave Anthony & Sylvan a call, had them come out and was very happy with their service. I used them this year for the opening and then general maintenance. The technicians were very knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been into the retail store as well and they’re always there to explain any problems that I may have with my pool, water or filter. I’ve also gotten quotes from the service department for new pool equipment. Their response always has a quick turnaround, which I like, and the prices are always very competitive.

When I had decided that we were gonna get a pool, I googled throughout the area. I live in a rural area, so there isn't very much to choose from. But I chose Anthony and Sylvan because they seem to have been in business the longest. They installed my pool. They also open it and close it for me. Recently, my favorite thing about them is they saved me a lot of money. They offered a program where I can open and close my pool for less than it would normally cost. They charged me a one-time fee for opening and closing. Normally, I would pay to open and then in the fall, I would pay to close it. That was more money. The only thing is one of the technicians who opens the pool is an older gentleman with a very thick accent. I can't understand what he says.

I’ve always known of Anthony & Sylvan. They do a lot of my friends’ pools. I use them for opening and closing my pool. Recently, I had them for a renovation. Their team was always very pleasant and thorough. I liked the quality of their work. They gave me the facts to help me make different decisions that I had to make with my pool. They were very good at giving me the details so I could decide which was the right way to go. I also liked their customer service handling any issues if there were any.

Some feedback from other customers also helped clear my decision to do business with Anthony & Sylvan. They built my pool. They also closed my pool and opened it in the spring.

This is the first time in Delaware that I’ve had a pool. Anthony & Sylvan installed it. Because of that, I might as well have them maintain it. In California, I used to do all that. When the pressure gauge on the tank failed to work, their guy gave me a quick lesson on how to replace it. Apparently, the gauges have a tendency to fail periodically so he wasn’t surprised that it wasn’t working. He told me how I could fix it quickly at a little cost. He appeared very professional and did the job. They let me know what I needed to do and after I had done it, they were able to knock it out in no time.

A friend recommended Anthony & Sylvan. And I've used them since they digged out the pool and they've serviced it. They're very responsive whenever there's an issue. And they did a good job.

Installed pool 2 years ago and absolutely worst experience I have had with the 1000"s of companies that I have dealt with. My pool and hot tub have been leaking for 2 years. The only people at the company that you can reach are the ones that take your money and they are without a doubt the best at that. Don’t make the same mistake that I did.... And by the way if there are any employees that care about your company, can you call Bryan at **. Lawsuit may be the only way to get satisfaction.

Anthony & Sylvan built our pool and they've been opening and closing it. They put in a new filter system for us as well last summer. Their techs are very reliable, dependable. They’re always so friendly. They do a great job, and they answer anything I need to be answered. When they say they’re coming, they come. My husband always talks to the guy. He’s very helpful and explains everything to us. Overall, we've had good experiences with Anthony & Sylvan.

Anthony & Sylvan was the builder of our pool and we've used them for pool service for the last three years. Also, they have a special ongoing right now where if you open for three years, you get the fourth year for free. Overall, it has not been a favorable experience. But the most recent one was a good experience compared to the others because the lead technician that came out was somebody that was here before. We thought he did a good job, so we requested him again and based on the consistency of this technician's performance, it was a positive one. He also noted some items that we were unsure were still covered by our pool warranty and we were able to address those with a warranty coverage.

Everybody is very nice and professional. Our construction manager Harold oversaw the building of our pool and he was wonderful. He was very attentive to detail, accessible and he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. There’s also a guy who works at the Doylestown retail store who‘s very friendly and knowledgeable.

I've got many interactions with them from the beginning, from sales to construction, to opening and closing and it's always been a pleasant experience. They're trustworthy and professional and I'm glad I went with them. If you want a quality pool, Anthony & Sylvan is the best place to go. It's high-quality professionalism.

Anthony & Sylvan has good service. We moved into our home in 2015. It had a pool and I didn’t know anything about how to take care of pools. So, I looked into Yellow Pages for one of the nearest branches of pool care and Anthony & Sylvan was there. I gave them a call and we've had this relationship ever since. I use them for opening and closing the pool. Anthony & Sylvan has good retention of staffs, so I see the same people year after year. It developed a good communication and good customer-contractor relationship there.

Anthony & Sylvan installed our pool some years ago. And I’ve gone around to a number of different pool service providers and had to even come back to them. I’ve used Anthony & Sylvan for opening and closing, and I’ve moved up to even using the VIP service, which is weekly. I’ve had interaction with the office in Northern Virginia and I used to take my samples up to them and test them, and they gave me all the information in reference to what I needed to accomplish in adjusting my water balances. But right now, with the VIP service, they come out and do it on a weekly basis. I like Anthony & Sylvan's service guys. They’re willing to explain what’s going on, they’re willing to say what they’re doing, and they’re willing to tell me if I needed to work on something.

We've been with Anthony & Sylvan since 1994. They've always been responsive and they don't make it a habit of trying to sell you something you don't need. So, that's much appreciated. I would recommend them.

We contracted with Anthony & Sylvan for a pool project in August 2018, to ensure that 90% of the work would be done before December, and only 2-4 days of work would be required in 2019 (plaster and fill) to open the pool in the March/April 2019 time frame. We brought many concerns, issues and deficiencies to the company's attention, which were more often than not ignored, forgotten or discounted. As a result, most of our concerns were never addressed.

Anthony & Sylvan filled our pool about 10 years ago, and we’ve continued to work with them on opening and closings and also in purchasing our pool chemicals at their retail stores. We use them for equipment service as well. And we’ve had a good working relationship with them. They appreciate customer loyalty and try to help you out when they can because of being a loyal customer.

We moved into this home and Anthony & Sylvan was the previous company that the previous owners used and they recommended them. So, we felt like that was the easiest way to go about it to see if we wanted to use them, so we did. They open our pool. They jumpstart everything and get it going. But we probably will reassess it because I felt it was overpriced.

We’ve had the pool for about 10 years and my wife did the initial research on it. She would not have selected Anthony & Sylvan if they weren't highly recommended. I like their promptness. We've never had to wait for an appointment and they're out here when they say they're gonna be. If there is any issue with anything, they're always here to back it up and come and fix whatever the issue is. If I asked any questions about the equipment, their team answers it very quickly and they're friendly people. The guy who has come out for the last several years has always been very polite and efficient. It doesn't take him long to set things up and move on.

I had my pool built by Anthony & Sylvan and I stayed with them. I have them do the seasonal opening and closing. If there is any equipment maintenance or repair, I would call them too. For a year or two, I haven't seen the technician who has been with them for a long time and who's been helping service the pool ever since it was built. He was out due to illness, but he just started back with them. He joined this last pool opening and he was very helpful. His knowledge is greatly appreciated.

My wife and I built our new home 1.5 years ago and we wanted to get a pool installed for our family to enjoy. Anthony & Sylvan Pools seemed like a truly professional company throughout the sales process, however little did we know, all of the professionalism and customer service went out the window as soon as they have your money and a signed contract.

Anthony & Sylvan's salesman, Mike, was fabulous. I tried five other companies and found that Mike and Anthony & Sylvan were a good value. It seemed to be a very good product. We use them for seasonal openings and closings, and they've been wonderful. The team is knowledgeable. They got the work done and they did a good job.

The people I've dealt with at Anthony & Sylvan have been very responsive. The company built our pool and they’ve been opening and closing it ever since.

Our issue has been outstanding since the summer of 2018. The table we had built in our pool has some defects and we still can not seem to get the problem fixed. We continue to receive excuse after excuse from contractors not showing up due to broken vehicles to contractor behind on work orders. John ** Warranty Manager provides poor customer service and continues to be dishonest as to trying to fix the problem. The last incident involved Mr. ** telling me the contractor being sent was prepared to try two different methods to fix the issue; yet the contractor comes over and is not equipped to try the second method.

2019 We contacted Anthony Pools to re-plaster and retile our pool. Salesperson was more than eager to sell their products and services promising "they were the best in the business." He seemed reasonable and to know what he was selling. Unfortunately the rest of Anthony Pools was uninformed, disinterested or unhelpful. Absolutely hands down the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Note that all services must be pre-paid. My experience with contractors who demand full pre-payment is they are more about getting paid than doing a good job. What Anthony doesn't tell you is all their work is contracted out and they function merely as the seller and scheduler. Once money is received they disappear.

Our pool was dug in December, 2018. (The project started in August, however, digging issues ensued, some of which were not the fault of A&S.) There has been zero project management. Requests for information on timing and what steps are coming next go disregarded. After much frustration/emails/calls/texts we created our own simple spreadsheet to attempt to gain some awareness of future activity. It has been wholly ignored. There appears to be no project plan. When crews do come to the house (e.g., the plumbers), they leverage a layout we never approved. We do not seem to be getting even close to the benefit of our bargain when it comes to customer service and project management. I would advise against beginning work with this provider - at least in my area.

Stay away from this company (in Northern VA). The customer experience isn't a priority. Our pool is only 9 months old and there are already stains on the rock wall. We had some stains on the plaster too right after it went in and they did nothing to address. Just had our pool opening, tech was unfriendly, grumpy and generally unhelpful. Terrible company with no commitment to customers. They have our money so why worry about the poor quality of the product and the poor customer service?

Miserable experience. Dig on June 21 2018. They were 3 weeks behind by week 5 of a ten week project, and now March 20 2019, we are only halfway done. No updates. Sometimes contractors show, sometimes they don't, sometimes they show entirely unannounced. "It rained". Yep, but not until the last week of July and we were weeks behind before any fell from the sky. The pool is smaller than spec, some tiles are upside down, diving board is off center from the decking bump out, and pressure gauge is broken. Many many emails to many many people go unanswered. I wonder how long the next half of the project will take, and what else will go wrong. Zero communication. No explanations. Choosing Anthony Sylvan was a mistake.

Like most people out there I was convinced that due to national size of the company and lifetime warranty it is a good bet to go with A&S for such an expensive project. The sales process was great. Unlike some other people mentioned, I was not pressured hard into getting unnecessary extras. That's where nice things ended.

Anthony & Sylvan put in the pool 20 years ago and over the years, my interactions with their store staff have been fine. I especially like the water analysis. There was one littler sputter, however, of having trouble with the pool. I brought the Polaris to them because something was clogged up. I couldn’t figure it out and it sat for weeks and weeks. Finally, I took it back and put it all together myself. But normally, Anthony & Sylvan has what I need when I go to the store. If there’s some doubt, I call them and ask them if they have it and order it if it’s on sale. It has been a good relationship.

I love the convenience of Anthony & Sylvan's location. I was there recently and they were very helpful. They got my pool water tested and they taught me what I needed as far as chemicals go. They also explained what they thought the pool needed.

I like that their people know what they're doing and they have the answers all the time. I dealt with the manager and he took his time in going over everything completely and telling me how the salt water system works. He stood with me in everything. For the most part, the store reps have been knowledgeable and helpful. We purchased a new motor for the vacuum cleaner from Anthony & Sylvan and we had just put it in, but it had a problem. They weren’t gonna be able to fix it for 10 days, but I talked to a rep, Keith, and he had a person out here within the next three days. But the same problem has just recurred and the new motor has stopped working again. So far, though, Keith has been excellent and he has gone out of his way to be helpful to me.

Anthony & Sylvan installed my pool. I’ve always done business with them and we bought all our supplies through them. The staff is always very friendly and they always accommodate whatever my needs are. We open and close our pool ourselves, but we use Anthony & Sylvan for maintenance, and if I have any issues with the equipment or anything that needs servicing. They’re very knowledgeable about the pool treatment and the water treatment that they do. They’re always spot-on with whatever we need to add to the water.

Anthony & Sylvan installed the salt chlorinator for my pool and I also like going for their water test. Anybody that I talk to after a water test tells me exactly how to solve it. I also get a nice little printout of all the steps that I need to go through in order to clear up or clean out any water issues. And any time they haven't had anything, there was always somebody working there who was able to get me the part, piece, or whatever I need from another store. Then I usually get it the next business day.

My favorite thing about Anthony & Sylvan is they make sure that everything's done correctly. And if it's not done correctly, they will come back and make sure it will be done correctly. I was recently at the Anthony & Sylvan store in Montgomery Township and I had told the gentleman that my filter motor had died and that I needed a new one. Even though he was closing, he waited for me to show up and he had exactly what I needed. It was a heavy motor and he helped me load it into my car. He was very friendly and knowledgeable too. He gave me some advice on how to install it myself and it all worked out very well. He was also so reassuring, telling me that I could handle it.

Their opening and closing services are very expensive so I don't do that, but I’ve used their service department in my third year as a pool owner when something broke on the filtration. They came out and replaced it and took care of it for us. I love the staff at the store and the personal care that I get inside the store is my favorite part. Anthony & Sylvan's staff has been prompt. They’re effective and efficient. They’re very knowledgeable, too. When they test my water, they’re excellent to tell me what I’m doing and what I should not be doing so it’s always extremely informative and educational. By now, by the fourth year, I’ve mastered it. We love swimming in our pool. It’s very nice. They build us a beautiful pool, and we’re very thankful.

Anthony & Sylvan put my pool in. But for a long time, they had no store for pool supplies in Delaware where we live. We used to go all the way to Pennsylvania to get our pool supplies because we didn’t have good service with anybody else. But now that they have a pool supply store in Delaware, we go there all the time and we love it. Every time we go there, the staff knows what they’re doing. They recommend whatever we need and they don’t try to sell us stuff that we don’t need, which some of the other pool companies do.

My pool was installed by Anthony & Sylvan then my wife worked with one of their locations up in Pennsylvania and we also had them over to close the pool for us. The store that I go to is the most convenient and it’s closest to my work. The store staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful. They’re cordial and nice and they help answer our questions. I take in water and they tell me what I need to put in the pool, so that has worked well with me so far. However, I find that the service in the store is slow. I was trying to get in and out at lunchtime and they had around three people in there working, but all of them were servicing one customer and I had to wait. Still, the service is friendly and accurate.

Anthony & Sylvan installed my pool 20 years ago. And then, I've had them refurbish my pool and re-plaster it, too. I’ve had some coupling replaced as well. I’ve also had them install a heater and a soft system on my pool. The store staff has been regular people there, so I’ve become to know them. They've answered my questions and I enjoy going in there because I get all my answers from them. They used to have a manager there named Keith, and he was very knowledgeable. They have moved him to a new location but he was great to work with and I’ve developed a great working relationship with him from going in there so many years. Trying to balance the pool water is important and when I had questions about it, he made some recommendations and I gave them a try. If it didn’t work, then he helped me figure out what it was.

I'm very dissatisfied with Anthony & Sylvan in West Chester as far as them redoing my whole pool. They're the worst and somebody needs to address their issues. My 36-year old pool was still not done properly and it was a nightmare. They came out and redid the whole coping again. I would not recommend them to anyone and I'd never call them again to redo my pool. I also had to get a lawyer for them to fix it 'cause they messed up in the first place. I can't afford a lawyer and I don’t think I should've had to get one for something that was warrantied for three years. So, I had to get somebody again and redo it.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool. Their pool supplies store is not the closest to my house but I trust them and their knowledge. Their staff does the best water testing and it is, by far, the most accurate. I also get the necessary chemicals to treat whatever is ailing my pool from them. I’ve had several problems with reflectors and when Keith was still there, he was very helpful to me in sorting out those problems.

Anthony & Sylvan built my inground pool, so I went to them as my pool needs supplier. So far, I'm happy with their service and their retail store. They take ownership of everything whether it's an issue with the pool and understand my needs or any problems that I have. They take the time to listen, to understand, and to come up with whatever best solution they can do to satisfy my needs. Their project manager was my favorite person to deal with. His name is Frank and he was always available. He returned my calls and answered any questions that I had. But the folks in the retail store had been great, too. I ended up with an issue with my pool cleaner where I had to order a part. Unfortunately, it was due to an error on my part or an accident, but they did everything they could to remedy that situation.

Anthony & Sylvan put my pool in and I had a new pump put on and other minor things done years ago. Everything is fine and it's clear as crystal. I love the people down the store. In fact, I have a pool place that’s closer, but I go all the way down there to them. They are nice, very polite, and just good people. They go out of their way and help in any kind of way they can. I miss a lot the gentleman I spoke to before. I had a problem and I called them up. My nephew was here that time and he took a picture of the pool system. Then within three seconds, the solution was found. Overall, I'm very happy with Anthony & Sylvan.

I’ve been a pool customer for 10 years and Anthony & Sylvan is the number 1. My parents were also Anthony & Sylvan customers many years ago. Most of their employees are helpful and knowledgeable. I followed everything that they told me and it worked out well. Over the past 10 years, I have never had any repeats with pool service. They were very friendly and responsive as well. There is always gonna be hiccups somewhere. There were three times that I was not fine. They should have serviced me but overall, I am satisfied. And as a matter of fact, next year, they are going to do my pool renovation.

The new lady named Larry is very good too. They are personable, customer-oriented, and have good people skills and all the right attributes to be in sales. I can't say that their customer service sucks because they just plain haven't returned any calls. Have what looks like a crack in the deep end, might be cosmetic, had someone come out late June and still no replies. Have made at least 7 phone calls, left messages still nada zilch nothing. It is amazing when I was putting fifty thousand plus dollars in their hands they were great. On top of that this crack appears to be right where it looked like a bad gunite section during initial construction.

We have Anthony & Sylvan do the opening and closing of our pool. They built it so we’ve been using them throughout. Everybody there has been extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I could get the answers to my questions very quickly. As far as the pool store has gone, I could go in there and describe how the pool water looks and ask questions about the chemical application, and everybody had the answers right at hand, as well as suggestions on what to do to solve particular issues based on a verbal description and looking at the pool water results.

I had my Anthony pool installed in 1986 and I’ve been their customer ever since. I've been dealing with Sid who has been very helpful and knows what he is talking about. He helps me along the way and takes care of my problem.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool and I can only say very good things about each of the people that I’ve interacted with. Tim seems to be a very good judge of what I’m dealing with when I come in with a problem. He also has pretty good recommendations on how to be able to deal with them. Anthony & Sylvan have people that have a good background and who are able to detect what needs to happen to water. I love that they’re open seven days a week even though the hours are reduced on Sundays and Saturdays. They have all of the chemicals that I can purchase. I liked very much that I can count on the water testing and it's what I go there for more than anything.

A friend of my daughters had Anthony & Sylvan put their pool in and I like the workmanship that I saw. They seemed to be qualified too. Also, everything was to our liking. I had them come out and I enjoyed the experience as it was very straightforward. Their staff took the time to explain things to me and they didn't rush me at their store.

I am grateful for that. They do take the review seriously and do take an effort to fix the problem. I thank you Sylvan for doing that. Those who are having issues, please keep pushing the issues and write a review here and they will handle the issue in a professional manner.

I’ve only had Anthony & Sylvan for my pool and I get all my chemicals from them. My pool is 41 years old and we have regular problems with it. I've been in their store once this year and the young man there was very nice and knowledgeable about what I wanted and needed. I’m just really pleased with my pool.

The fellow there explained everything to us and was very helpful. We bought the vacuum and have had no problems with it since.

They put new caulking and tiling within the last two years and replastered the pool. They're very helpful and the manager who attends to us is very knowledgeable and friendly. Last year, I was looking at replacing the heater and I worked with Tim. I ended up getting all of my equipment replaced and it went so well that I referred a couple of friends to them.

Ian who works in the Anthony & Sylvan store is probably the most knowledgeable pool person I’ve ever dealt with. He would not rest until he found a way to help. He knew we were at the end of our rope with our Polaris and he fixed it.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools was closer to my home than the other pool companies, so I got my pool supplies from them. I bought a Polaris and all my water testing supplies and chemicals in there. The first time I went with them, their pricing was less than the other pool suppliers. Ever since, I’ve been going there and I’ve been very satisfied. The manager, Ian, is such a nice person. If I don’t need something, he doesn’t try and sell it to me. When I first got my chemicals tested, the sales rep tried to sell me a lot of chemicals. But Ian said the chlorine had to settle down and I didn't need as much. He was right and the pool has been clean since then. When I bought the Polaris, he gave me a discount on it. Also, when I had something that broke, he fixed it for me right away and he didn’t charge me for the repair.

I deal with Anthony & Sylvan for the closing of my pool, but I have another company open it. Anthony & Sylvan built my pool 15 years ago, then 10 years ago we had trouble with the pool which was under warranty and they serviced it. But the trouble happened again and I had somebody else service the pool because I didn’t like the way Anthony & Sylvan did it before. But as far as the store goes, there has been no problem. They test my water and I buy the chemicals from them. The rep that I dealt with at the store has been very knowledgeable and helpful. I've had a very good experience overall with this pool company.

The quality of the pool by Anthony & Sylvan is good. The staff in the store are on top of any questions that I have when I go to get chemicals in opening the pool. They got everything I need and it's all good. However, the caulking around my pool pavers stain and it gets molds on after the cover is on it. It’s not pretty to look at and it’s tough to clean, so I wasn’t impressed with that service. But, the caulking does its job and it’s better than the styrofoam.

Our neighbor referred us to Anthony & Sylvan years ago when we were having a pool installed, and we're also using them now for all our supplies. Every time I ask a question with regard to my water or the algae or any other problem I’m having, the manager makes a recommendation to deal with the problem. He’s very good.

My pool is an Anthony & Sylvan pool. It was installed in 1987 so I want to use their products as best as I can even though I have less opening and closing. I’m 77 so I don’t have to clean it out, so there’s enough I have to do with our opening and closing. Their store staff has been knowledgeable. Through the years, I go there about three times a year and they’re always very polite. If I ordered a number of things, they offered to carry that to my car. They used to have a woman there who was very good because if I have some problems she could dissect what exactly the problem was and recommend such and such.

I searched on Google and realized that Anthony & Sylvan are local and they’ve been around for a while. So, I opted to go to their store for my pool supply needs. Their rep, Kirsten, is knowledgeable in both chemistry and products. I would totally recommend Anthony & Sylvan.

They've had a couple of young good kids in there and they have a positive attitude. If they don't know the answer, they'll go out and find the answer for me. I have an Anthony & Sylvan pool and I’ve been going to their store in Fairfield, New Jersey for a number of years. Also, I just had the pool re-plastered by Anthony & Sylvan and their reps were helpful. When the construction process was going on, they communicated on a fairly frequent basis to get me up to date on the progress and what was gonna happen. But after the plaster was finished, there was some yellowing and the people that contacted me from Anthony & Sylvan was supposed to have someone come out and take a look but that never happened. It’s not a very large area but it happened almost instantly after plastering was completed.

We bought our pool from Anthony & Sylvan. And the guy that runs the store up on Route 9 is extremely knowledgeable about everything about pools. When you ask him, he knows. Everyone there is also wonderful. They do great work and always help me if I have any questions. That’s also where I go to check the water and if I have any issues. When I had a problem with the heater, I asked them where the plug is and they told me about it. They tell me anything. They also tell me what I need to do to keep the pool running clean. So, I’m very happy with them. But they don’t close pools and they don't do openings. All they do is chemicals.
