I've been dealing with Anthony & Sylvan for a long time now. Their people are very helpful. I get my chemicals from them and when they come in and get my water tested, they're always very pleasant and work very quickly.

The store reps at Anthony & Sylvan are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I had an Anthony & Sylvan pool, and I've been using their supplies since 1988. I really like the chemicals there and they're more top quality compared to the other places. I've always had positive interactions with their store people and they are very friendly. They’ve always been very willing anytime I've had a question and they are knowledgeable to answer it.

I have been working with Anthony & Sylvan Pools for the chemicals and water testing. I like their products. When their staff test my water, they tell me exactly what I need and how much I need. I use that and the chemicals work fine on that.

I have dealt with Anthony & Sylvan for years for my pool supply needs. They had been opening and closing my pool all the time, but lately I have been doing that myself. For the most part, the store reps have been knowledgeable and helpful. We purchased a new motor for the vacuum cleaner from Anthony & Sylvan and we had just put it in, but it had a problem. They weren’t gonna be able to fix it for 10 days, but I talked to a rep, Keith, and he had a person out here within the next three days. But the same problem has just recurred and the new motor has stopped working again. So far, though, Keith has been excellent and he has gone out of his way to be helpful to me.

Anthony & Sylvan installed my pool. I’ve always done business with them and we bought all our supplies through them. The staff is always very friendly and they always accommodate whatever my needs are. We open and close our pool ourselves, but we use Anthony & Sylvan for maintenance, and if I have any issues with the equipment or anything that needs servicing. They’re very knowledgeable about the pool treatment and the water treatment that they do. They’re always spot-on with whatever we need to add to the water.

Anthony & Sylvan installed the salt chlorinator for my pool and I also like going for their water test. Anybody that I talk to after a water test tells me exactly how to solve it. I also get a nice little printout of all the steps that I need to go through in order to clear up or clean out any water issues. And any time they haven't had anything, there was always somebody working there who was able to get me the part, piece, or whatever I need from another store. Then I usually get it the next business day.

My favorite thing about Anthony & Sylvan is they make sure that everything's done correctly. And if it's not done correctly, they will come back and make sure it will be done correctly. I was recently at the Anthony & Sylvan store in Montgomery Township and I had told the gentleman that my filter motor had died and that I needed a new one. Even though he was closing, he waited for me to show up and he had exactly what I needed. It was a heavy motor and he helped me load it into my car. He was very friendly and knowledgeable too. He gave me some advice on how to install it myself and it all worked out very well. He was also so reassuring, telling me that I could handle it.

I purchased a pool from Anthony & Sylvan and I’ve been using them in the last four years. Their opening and closing services are very expensive so I don't do that, but I’ve used their service department in my third year as a pool owner when something broke on the filtration. They came out and replaced it and took care of it for us. I love the staff at the store and the personal care that I get inside the store is my favorite part. Anthony & Sylvan's staff has been prompt. They’re effective and efficient. They’re very knowledgeable, too. When they test my water, they’re excellent to tell me what I’m doing and what I should not be doing so it’s always extremely informative and educational. By now, by the fourth year, I’ve mastered it. We love swimming in our pool. It’s very nice. They build us a beautiful pool, and we’re very thankful.

We have an Anthony & Sylvan pool initially and we had it renovated as well. The store staff is good as well as the expertise they offer. Everything’s been satisfactory.

Anthony & Sylvan put my pool in. But for a long time, they had no store for pool supplies in Delaware where we live. We used to go all the way to Pennsylvania to get our pool supplies because we didn’t have good service with anybody else. But now that they have a pool supply store in Delaware, we go there all the time and we love it. Every time we go there, the staff knows what they’re doing. They recommend whatever we need and they don’t try to sell us stuff that we don’t need, which some of the other pool companies do.

My pool was installed by Anthony & Sylvan then my wife worked with one of their locations up in Pennsylvania and we also had them over to close the pool for us. The store that I go to is the most convenient and it’s closest to my work. The store staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful. They’re cordial and nice and they help answer our questions. I take in water and they tell me what I need to put in the pool, so that has worked well with me so far. However, I find that the service in the store is slow. I was trying to get in and out at lunchtime and they had around three people in there working, but all of them were servicing one customer and I had to wait. Still, the service is friendly and accurate.

Anthony & Sylvan installed my pool 20 years ago. And then, I've had them refurbish my pool and re-plaster it, too. I’ve had some coupling replaced as well. I’ve also had them install a heater and a soft system on my pool. The store staff has been regular people there, so I’ve become to know them. They've answered my questions and I enjoy going in there because I get all my answers from them. They used to have a manager there named Keith, and he was very knowledgeable. They have moved him to a new location but he was great to work with and I’ve developed a great working relationship with him from going in there so many years. Trying to balance the pool water is important and when I had questions about it, he made some recommendations and I gave them a try. If it didn’t work, then he helped me figure out what it was.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool. Their pool supplies store is not the closest to my house but I trust them and their knowledge. Their staff does the best water testing and it is, by far, the most accurate. I also get the necessary chemicals to treat whatever is ailing my pool from them. I’ve had several problems with reflectors and when Keith was still there, he was very helpful to me in sorting out those problems.

I'm very dissatisfied with Anthony & Sylvan in West Chester as far as them redoing my whole pool. They're the worst and somebody needs to address their issues. My 36-year old pool was still not done properly and it was a nightmare. They came out and redid the whole coping again. I would not recommend them to anyone and I'd never call them again to redo my pool. I also had to get a lawyer for them to fix it 'cause they messed up in the first place. I can't afford a lawyer and I don’t think I should've had to get one for something that was warrantied for three years. So, I had to get somebody again and redo it.

Anthony & Sylvan built my inground pool, so I went to them as my pool needs supplier. So far, I'm happy with their service and their retail store. They take ownership of everything whether it's an issue with the pool and understand my needs or any problems that I have. They take the time to listen, to understand, and to come up with whatever best solution they can do to satisfy my needs. Their project manager was my favorite person to deal with. His name is Frank and he was always available. He returned my calls and answered any questions that I had. But the folks in the retail store had been great, too. I ended up with an issue with my pool cleaner where I had to order a part. Unfortunately, it was due to an error on my part or an accident, but they did everything they could to remedy that situation.

Anthony & Sylvan is close and they usually have everything I need. Their staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Any time I had a problem, they would answer my questions and solve the problems.

I’ve been a pool customer for 10 years and Anthony & Sylvan is the number 1. My parents were also Anthony & Sylvan customers many years ago. Most of their employees are helpful and knowledgeable. I followed everything that they told me and it worked out well. Over the past 10 years, I have never had any repeats with pool service. They were very friendly and responsive as well. There is always gonna be hiccups somewhere. There were three times that I was not fine. They should have serviced me but overall, I am satisfied. And as a matter of fact, next year, they are going to do my pool renovation.

Anthony & Sylvan put my pool in and I had a new pump put on and other minor things done years ago. Everything is fine and it's clear as crystal. I love the people down the store. In fact, I have a pool place that’s closer, but I go all the way down there to them. They are nice, very polite, and just good people. They go out of their way and help in any kind of way they can. I miss a lot the gentleman I spoke to before. I had a problem and I called them up. My nephew was here that time and he took a picture of the pool system. Then within three seconds, the solution was found. Overall, I'm very happy with Anthony & Sylvan.

I've been using Anthony & Sylvan's service for 15 years or more and I've had problems but they remedied them. They've done the pool opening, closing, maintenance, replacement of my coping ceramic and water tests. Alex is amazing and Daniel on the service side is just very good. The new lady named Larry is very good too. They are personable, customer-oriented, and have good people skills and all the right attributes to be in sales. They are very responsive to needs and very understanding too. All my interactions with the staff are positive.

I can't say that their customer service sucks because they just plain haven't returned any calls. Have what looks like a crack in the deep end, might be cosmetic, had someone come out late June and still no replies. Have made at least 7 phone calls, left messages still nada zilch nothing. It is amazing when I was putting fifty thousand plus dollars in their hands they were great. On top of that this crack appears to be right where it looked like a bad gunite section during initial construction.

We have Anthony & Sylvan do the opening and closing of our pool. They built it so we’ve been using them throughout. Everybody there has been extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I could get the answers to my questions very quickly. As far as the pool store has gone, I could go in there and describe how the pool water looks and ask questions about the chemical application, and everybody had the answers right at hand, as well as suggestions on what to do to solve particular issues based on a verbal description and looking at the pool water results.

I had my Anthony pool installed in 1986 and I’ve been their customer ever since. I've been dealing with Sid who has been very helpful and knows what he is talking about. He helps me along the way and takes care of my problem.

Anthony & Sylvan built my pool and I can only say very good things about each of the people that I’ve interacted with. Tim seems to be a very good judge of what I’m dealing with when I come in with a problem. He also has pretty good recommendations on how to be able to deal with them. Anthony & Sylvan have people that have a good background and who are able to detect what needs to happen to water. I love that they’re open seven days a week even though the hours are reduced on Sundays and Saturdays. They have all of the chemicals that I can purchase. I liked very much that I can count on the water testing and it's what I go there for more than anything.

A friend of my daughters had Anthony & Sylvan put their pool in and I like the workmanship that I saw. They seemed to be qualified too. Also, everything was to our liking. I had them come out and I enjoyed the experience as it was very straightforward. Their staff took the time to explain things to me and they didn't rush me at their store.

We have an Anthony & Sylvan pool, then we had it renovated and they gave us a $250 gift card. Their staff was very helpful and they had the products that we needed.

Updated on 01/25/2020: My original review of this company was not because they took time to resolve the issues. However, after a year, they did come and fix all the pending issues. I am grateful for that. They do take the review seriously and do take an effort to fix the problem. I thank you Sylvan for doing that. Those who are having issues, please keep pushing the issues and write a review here and they will handle the issue in a professional manner.

I’ve only had Anthony & Sylvan for my pool and I get all my chemicals from them. My pool is 41 years old and we have regular problems with it. I've been in their store once this year and the young man there was very nice and knowledgeable about what I wanted and needed. I’m just really pleased with my pool.

We bought a Sylvan pool almost 30 years ago, and we've been using their products ever since. We also had Anthony & Sylvan remodel our pool three years ago. I take my water sample to them, they check my pool, and they tell me what I need. I also ask them questions about certain things and products.

However, this past year was a tough year getting the pool started because I had some difficulty with the old equipment but the people from Anthony & Sylvan found stuff from other stores and shipped it to me right away. Also the manager, Tim, and his associate, were very knowledgeable and have been very helpful.

Thirty years ago we’ve put in our pool through Anthony & Sylvan and two years ago we had our pool re-plastered also through them. Their staff is knowledgeable, courteous and they help me keep the pool in shape.

We’re very pleased and satisfied with Anthony & Sylvan. They put in my pool in 1963 and since then, we’ve been getting our supplies from them. They also remodeled the pool in 1995. We’re very pleased with the girl at Route 46 and since we’ve been dealing with her, we've have had no problems with our pool. There was another girl who has moved and got her own store, but she was also fantastic. One day, we walked into Anthony & Sylvan and they had a sale on the vacuum. The fellow there explained everything to us and was very helpful. We bought the vacuum and have had no problems with it since.

We have an Anthony & Sylvan pool. I have been going to Anthony & Sylvan for 16 years to get my water tested and also to get pool supplies. They’ve just done some renovation for us. They put new caulking and tiling within the last two years and replastered the pool. They're very helpful and the manager who attends to us is very knowledgeable and friendly. Last year, I was looking at replacing the heater and I worked with Tim. I ended up getting all of my equipment replaced and it went so well that I referred a couple of friends to them.

The people in their store are totally knowledgeable and they take care of us immediately. They do the closing and opening of the pool each year. Ian who works in the Anthony & Sylvan store is probably the most knowledgeable pool person I’ve ever dealt with. He would not rest until he found a way to help. He knew we were at the end of our rope with our Polaris and he fixed it.

I deal with Anthony & Sylvan for the closing of my pool, but I have another company open it. Anthony & Sylvan built my pool 15 years ago, then 10 years ago we had trouble with the pool which was under warranty and they serviced it. But the trouble happened again and I had somebody else service the pool because I didn’t like the way Anthony & Sylvan did it before. But as far as the store goes, there has been no problem. They test my water and I buy the chemicals from them. The rep that I dealt with at the store has been very knowledgeable and helpful. I've had a very good experience overall with this pool company.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools was closer to my home than the other pool companies, so I got my pool supplies from them. I bought a Polaris and all my water testing supplies and chemicals in there. The first time I went with them, their pricing was less than the other pool suppliers. Ever since, I’ve been going there and I’ve been very satisfied. The manager, Ian, is such a nice person. If I don’t need something, he doesn’t try and sell it to me. When I first got my chemicals tested, the sales rep tried to sell me a lot of chemicals. But Ian said the chlorine had to settle down and I didn't need as much. He was right and the pool has been clean since then. When I bought the Polaris, he gave me a discount on it. Also, when I had something that broke, he fixed it for me right away and he didn’t charge me for the repair.

The quality of the pool by Anthony & Sylvan is good. The staff in the store are on top of any questions that I have when I go to get chemicals in opening the pool. They got everything I need and it's all good. However, the caulking around my pool pavers stain and it gets molds on after the cover is on it. It’s not pretty to look at and it’s tough to clean, so I wasn’t impressed with that service. But, the caulking does its job and it’s better than the styrofoam.

Our neighbor referred us to Anthony & Sylvan years ago when we were having a pool installed, and we're also using them now for all our supplies. Every time I ask a question with regard to my water or the algae or any other problem I’m having, the manager makes a recommendation to deal with the problem. He’s very good.

My pool is an Anthony & Sylvan pool. It was installed in 1987 so I want to use their products as best as I can even though I have less opening and closing. I’m 77 so I don’t have to clean it out, so there’s enough I have to do with our opening and closing. Their store staff has been knowledgeable. Through the years, I go there about three times a year and they’re always very polite. If I ordered a number of things, they offered to carry that to my car. They used to have a woman there who was very good because if I have some problems she could dissect what exactly the problem was and recommend such and such.

I searched on Google and realized that Anthony & Sylvan are local and they’ve been around for a while. So, I opted to go to their store for my pool supply needs. Their rep, Kirsten, is knowledgeable in both chemistry and products. I would totally recommend Anthony & Sylvan.

I had very high nitrate and I wasn’t able to get the algae out of my pool and the staff gave me instructions on how to do that and now my pool is crystal clear. I’m happy with the experience.

The manager, Ian, is the genius behind the store and he knows what he is talking about. He helps everyone and he is courteous. Everybody loves him. Everyone is usually frustrated when they come in there and there is always something going on with their pool, but he is very knowledgeable and he will always try to help you.

I've been going to Anthony & Sylvan and I buy pool equipment there. They got a lot of experience in managing a pool correctly. They've had a couple of young good kids in there and they have a positive attitude. If they don't know the answer, they'll go out and find the answer for me. Their store manager, in cooperation with their staff, was acting more of a neighbor than a manager for the last couple of years. And in a lot of ways, I truly believe that he's looking to help with the best interest possible.

I have an Anthony & Sylvan pool and I’ve been going to their store in Fairfield, New Jersey for a number of years. Also, I just had the pool re-plastered by Anthony & Sylvan and their reps were helpful. When the construction process was going on, they communicated on a fairly frequent basis to get me up to date on the progress and what was gonna happen. But after the plaster was finished, there was some yellowing and the people that contacted me from Anthony & Sylvan was supposed to have someone come out and take a look but that never happened. It’s not a very large area but it happened almost instantly after plastering was completed.

And every time I go there and I have questions, they answer my questions thoroughly and give me resolutions to any problems that I might be having with the pool. They’re very helpful about testing the water and they tell me what I need to put in it or if I have to put some chemicals in it to balance it properly. Anthony & Sylvan had a good reputation. They still do. And that was enough fro us to choose them over others for pool services. They also built the pool for us. They’re very friendly and they give us good and accurate results.

We bought our pool from Anthony & Sylvan. And the guy that runs the store up on Route 9 is extremely knowledgeable about everything about pools. When you ask him, he knows. Everyone there is also wonderful. They do great work and always help me if I have any questions. That’s also where I go to check the water and if I have any issues. When I had a problem with the heater, I asked them where the plug is and they told me about it. They tell me anything. They also tell me what I need to do to keep the pool running clean. So, I’m very happy with them. But they don’t close pools and they don't do openings. All they do is chemicals.

The staff at Anthony & Sylvan are knowledgeable and helpful. If I have a question, they know what they're talking about and they help me find what I need in the store. But they need some more people in the store 'cause they don't answer their phone when they're busy.

We set a date and they called me to tell me that they couldn't do the job twice. Eventually, I found out from friends of mine that the person whom they were trying to hire to do the job had been fired and Anthony & Sylvan wasn't going to hire anybody else this season yet they weren't telling me which ticked me off. So I moved on to another store. Still, I like Anthony & Sylvan's supplies better so I still come and use those.

Anthony & Sylvan is knowledgeable about pool installation, and I’ve been using them for 30 years now. When I bring problems to them, they are fairly specific as to the correction.

Anthony and Sylvan is our neighborhood pool store and the previous owner of our home used their services to construct a pool. So, we continued to give them the business. I had a replaster done by them and their store staff was extremely knowledgeable. They've always recommended and suggested the proper chemicals to balance my pool pH and also remedy some other things like mold and algae.

Anthony & Sylvan built the pool and I have also used them to close it. Their location is convenient for me. And when I go in with questions about algae or some issues, they are generally pretty responsive and they seem to be able to provide me with solutions.

Communication = Crappy, they systematically dodge customers with problems. Math skills = Non existent. Documentation & receipts = They don't care and won't produce them. Accurate verbal statements = Nope. Everything was great during the sales process, but as soon as we canceled the contract, the experience became horrendous. Communication went to zero. We went weeks without responses. The managers never even acknowledged my issue until I filed a complaint with the BBB. They kept changing my refund amount. They refused to provide documentation. Their math didn't work.

We wanted a concrete pool and not too many people were doing them. A friend had used Anthony & Sylvan and so we went ahead with them. They opened and closed for us, and they’ve been here several times ‘cause we had a bunch of cracks in the pool. So, they were here doing a lot of repairs as well. They’re always on time and we never have issues after they leave. Everything is always done right the first time. Whenever we have a problem, they’re always quick to fix it.

We come down every year from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and we've always been satisfied when we come down to get our opening and closing pool supplies.

But their coordination during the install and their communication were lacking. When we were evaluating and choosing the company that we were gonna go with, one of the things that they showed us was quality control, a schedule and a plan. I really liked that aspect of it and that’s honestly why we chose them. However, all that meant was that somebody just drives up to my house weekly and snaps a few photos when we’re not home, and then sends them in an email and says that it meets their approval. So, there was no coordination with the customer. It was just them approving it without the customer's input.

I've worked with Anthony & Sylvan Pools for supplies and general information. They're right in our neighborhood and I just started buying my supplies up there. Their staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They test my water every week, give me a good analysis of what I need to add, and work through the small issues I've had. They give great advice.

Anthony & Sylvan built our pool. It was a very challenging backyard to build a pool in and they were very attentive to detail. It was excellent because we had drainage and rock issues. There was a lot that was going on but they seemed to adjust their plan accordingly as to what came up. And the pool turned out beautiful. We've also used them for the opening and closing of the pool as well. In addition, if there is an issue, they come right out and fix it and with no questions asked.

I have worked with Anthony & Sylvan for a pool construction and I liked that the store staff has been knowledgeable. They were also very helpful in putting heavy things in the car. I had issues in the past with stains at the bottom of the pool and the manager at that time suggested using Vitamin C to take the stain out and that worked fine. When we open the pool, we've never had any problem and we don't have algae. We're able to start up the pool right away and be able to use it right away, and that's the best thing. We have a quality pool and their service is very good. However, the most difficult thing about Anthony & Sylvan was trying to get a hold of someone. The communication part is lacking. I usually plan my openings ahead, but I didn't remember the date and so I had to call four different numbers and leave messages. Calling the individual branches was very challenging from a customer's standpoint. But besides that, once they got here, they were great.

Last year, when the pool was closed, we knew there was something wrong. It had been two weeks and it hadn't been making chlorine out of the salt system. They said that they would deal with it when it's opened. Opening came and they came, looked at it, took some things and got them replaced, but that didn't do it. They called someone and they discovered it was something else that needed replacement. They didn't have it with them. And so, it was a good two weeks later before I finally got an appointment to have someone come and replace it so my pool would be operating correctly.

Any questions that we've had, they've been able to answer. We'd go to their store to have the water tested once in a while and for anything that we need. Also, they're pretty responsive. I was just a little upset that they didn’t clean the pool when they closed it so there were leaves on the bottom but that might not be part of the guy’s job. I like that I had more than one contact when I had a question and they got back to me right away. I appreciate that. They were patient and dealt with me because I was a little bit nervous and Jeremy, our project leader, listened to my concerns.

Anthony & Sylvan is a name I heard for years and I thought I’d call them out. I use them for the opening and closing service of my pool. The supervisor, Frank, did a great job and he’s the guy that kept everything grounded. But the biggest problem with them is that there is no communication. Other than that, everything about working with Anthony & Sylvan turned out nice in the end.

I had Anthony & Sylvan open up my pool a couple of years ago. I've also used them for water testing in the retail store, but I mainly use them for opening and shutting down my pool. Their service has been very consistent. The pool crew always shows up when they say they're gonna show up. They always help explain things what they're working on and they're very communicative if they have issues. If they need to check into something or if they're unsure, they always check in, which makes me confident that they're paying attention. I'd recommend them.

I wanted to have my install done pretty simply with everything taken care of and chose to use Anthony & Sylvan for the whole pool install. However, I find it hard to get ahold of a lot of people. I have to do it in roundabout ways like texting the main guy that was on site for my pool dig to find out a number of other people. And when I left messages, they haven’t gotten back to me. I’m still in the process of having different things fixed and done and I am halfway satisfied now with them.

Anthony & Sylvan refurbished my pool a couple of years ago and I’ve used their opening and closing services as well. They showed up on time when they said they were gonna be here. But after they did the refurb, there was a problem in the spa that was connected to the pool and they put the wrong size of eyeballs in there. I sent an email to my contact person about it and never got an answer. So, I resolved it on my own and paid for it since I got tired of waiting to hear from them.

I hired the same company to do a service in my pool and it was the worst experience I had in the United States. I’ve been associated with Anthony & Sylvan Pools for the past 12 years or so. Every year, they come out and do the opening and closing of my pool. They’re pretty experienced in what they do and give good service which is what I’m pretty impressed with. I've asked their reps about how much chlorine should I be adding from time to time or if I had to backwash it and put DE into the filter, and they were pretty efficient in answering that. I’ve been very satisfied with the service that Anthony & Sylvan provides every year.

I’ve had an Anthony & Sylvan pool since 1986 and every year we have their people for opening and closing. Last year, I had a leak somewhere and Sean was very patient and persistent in helping me find the solution to the problem. Apparently, he had a lot of people who at the beginning of the season were experiencing some leakage, but he stayed with me until we found out what the problem was, which was basically the drain seal that needed tightening. So, I’d like to specifically commend him. Anthony & Sylvan's people are very responsive and they get to know us, their customers, personally and try to help with whatever issue that we have. Generally there are no issues, but if something comes up, they wanna make it right. And they're very accommodating with my schedule as well.

Our neighbors who have pools told us about Anthony & Sylvan and I got them for the opening and closing of my pool. They have a lady in the office in the service department who's very responsive. When I first opened the new pool, the guy who did it was extremely helpful. He was very pleasant to call in and would give me advice. Overall, I had a good experience with Anthony & Sylvan and I'd recommend them to friends.

We have been using Anthony & Sylvan Pools for years. They built the original pool 69 and they were also part of re-plastering the pool about 10 years or so ago. We always go to their stores, use their own chemicals and have the water tested. We use them only if there's a problem. They are easy to work with and I also like their knowledge. Also, whenever I have some questions about the pressure and about some upkeep chemicals, they have been helpful. However, the only disappointment that we have had is buying a pool tarp to winterize the pool that has been very thin. They do not make them like they used to anymore. Nevertheless, Joe, who opened the pool, Sid, the guy at the store, and everybody has been great. Nobody has stirred us in the wrong direction.

We are now working on resolving the aforementioned issues: LED controls and the visible PVC conduits.

A few years ago Anthony & Sylvan had a promotion and I called them and set up their services. They have been doing the opening and closing of my pool for the last three years now. I have an ongoing contract with them so I don't have to remember that I have them set up. It makes it easy for me because I'm not a young fellow anymore. They are nice and friendly young people. I've always gotten along very well with them. Also they've always come on time and done a good job. I can't ask for any more than that.

In addition, we like that they describe what's going on, they raise any concerns that they have and they tell us if we need any proactive follow-up action. If they want us to take care of it, they will automatically add that to our service recorded. We used other vendors for opening and closing in the first three years, but we did not find them as reliable and consistent in service as Anthony & Sylvan especially when it comes to setting up an appointment and keeping the date and the time.

Anthony & Sylvan had the best price at the time and their salesman was excellent. However, they came to open the pool up and the light didn't work. They're supposed to order one of the lights and I haven't heard back in four weeks. I'm with Anthony & Sylvan by default, not because I think it's the greatest thing in the world but because everybody else charges the same price and there's no competition out there that I see. They all essentially do the same thing. On the other hand, individually, Anthony & Sylvan has some great people. Some of the techs that come out here and some of their people when I call on the phone are excellent.

When I was looking for someone to maintain the pool, I decided that I would go with the folks that had installed it 15 years ago. Anthony & Sylvan would know the most about the pool. We've used them for opening and weekly maintenance and then we’ll also close. Aside from that, they’ve done some repair work. They installed a new chlorinator and something else for the bath filter.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools is a local company and a friend of mine, Neil, works for them and referred me to them, and I reached out to them to get a pool. They finally did a resolution and I was very happy last year when they came out and made the repair on the coping. They did a phenomenal job and they went all out at very minimal cost. It's one of the biggest that they have. As for the service, it was very good. They came and did the job of taking the cover off and closing the pool for me.

We have an Anthony & Sylvan pool which was installed about 40 years ago and we use the company for closing. This year, we had to have the pool re-plastered. My husband takes care of the pool but he has been in the hospital. So, it has been me with the assistance of everybody from Anthony & Sylvan showing me how to take care of this pool. Two guys have been here to open the pool for me and put in the new ladder. Also, I've been at the store in Doylestown every other day for the last three weeks. So, they've been great.

Also, we purchased a heater from them which they installed. Up until recently, I had a problem with them returning phone calls but they've gotten much better on that. They respond and that's the main thing. Everything has been okay and they're pretty good.

We've had a pool for 17 years and we have Anthony & Sylvan's pool services for opening and closing, and equipment maintenance. I wish, though, that the technicians would have a little more verbalization with us about what’s going on when they come out. For instance, they said our heater needed cleaning and they’d do it when they come back, but I wasn’t here and they just left a note. But other than that, they’re a good company and their technician, Vince, did a great opening and closing for us.

We didn’t know about the saline and automation and an iPad or an arc point pad is used to start the saline up and buttons were pushed on the control by the pool. However, those were not working so I called for technician support.

The staff is friendly, and the store nearby and being able to schedule the opening and closing online are convenient. In the past, we made a purchase and the wrong order was placed for that. We had to go back and forth quite a bit in order to get that resolved but the manager at that time was responsive and helped resolve that issue effectively.

We have owned our house for 20 years and we’ve always had Anthony & Sylvan come out and open and close the pool for me, which was installed before we bought the house. It’s an old pool. They’ve always done everything and everything’s been fine. If there’s any problem, I contact them to have whatever problem fixed. When we moved here we had a couple of other people come out because there were a couple of problems with the equipment. We had to have a new pump put in for the pool and the other companies put in a pump that wasn’t big enough for the pool. They didn’t seem to be able to fix it and didn’t seem to know what the problem was. We had Anthony & Sylvan come out and put in the right size pump and no problem. My favorite thing about working with them is their technicians are able to diagnose the problem and recommend whatever needs to be done to fix it.

Back in 1965, Sylvan Pools put this pool in the backyard. I had to have it refurb after my dad passed away because he didn't do anything with it. So, Anthony & Sylvan came out and refurb the whole pool. They reskinned the plaster and put new coating, new filter, and new tiles. And they did an excellent job. They did all of my openings and closings too. Everybody has always been very courteous and polite. They knew what they were doing and they did their job. The salesman that came out was great. He came back, went through on how to take care of the filter because I'm not really good at that kind of stuff. So he came back twice.

When you call Carrie, she gets back to you right away. Kevin is very responsive too, if you need help with something. I’m a happy customer overall.
