    In the beginning of 2019, we decided to get the 3 year warranty for appliances and enrolled to AFC. Upon submission of the service request to AFC, I was given wrong commitment from the relationship manager to get the repair work done by the AFC authorized contractor and submitting reimbursement to cover the expense related to repair. Upon submitting request for reimbursement, Service team declined to process the reimbursement and threaten to take the business if I am not happy with the service.

    Recently again called to have someone come look at water heater and was denied because it was determined that it had rust on it. We buy home warranties for reason like this. Spoke to a manager after 2 days and was told tech told them it was due to negligence. When called the plumber they told me never said such a thing. They did say the warranty company asked if there was rust on the outside so of course there was a little and he had answered the question. So of course they denied. I am not certain home warranty companies are all like this as my daughter has American Home Shield and they assisted in paying a partial amount depending on age of water heater. So frustrated and this of course was not. The first time they neglected to pay on appliance in my home. They also know I am a senior and believe they take full advantage of that as well.

    I had a problem with my furnace in the spring and called to get assistance. I was told I had to wait as it was within my probationary period. I was upset and told them I'd find my own person. The problem didn't happen again at that time and the furnace got shut off for the year. When I turned it back on in the fall I still had the issue. I called and was told that I could not use my warranty because I had told them I'd find my own repairs. I never did. They wouldn't listen and refused help.

    Claim process is very stressful. Managers who handled our concerns were rude and obnoxious, I had to cut them off during our conversation and remind them that I was the customer. I don't believe this firm intend to replace any defective unit in your household if it surpasses $200, I was offered $190 on a $2000 repair for my AC. I Left the money for them..

    We apologize that you feel your experience was not pleasant. After all, calls were reviewed we did not find where a manager was rude, they simply were trying to understand why your technician stated the unit failed 5 months prior to you joining AFC Home Club on two different occasions. Once this misunderstanding was cleared up we follow all published guidelines. The maximum limit on the AC is $2000.00. Older equipment cannot be replaced with like as it is outdated so therefore you get the value if it fails after 10 years of age.

    As a disclaimer, I didn't have any issues with customer support. They were very helpful and friendly. I also never completed a work order/service request. Below is the reason for the two stars. As the title states, READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE. I can't emphasize that enough. My main concern was our AC unit. It's 10 years old and will probably need to get replaced soon. I read through the service agreement and noticed that there's A LOT of ways this company can simply shake their head and deny your service request. They dont cover rusty components. Theres critical, metal components that sit outside for years. Naturally they're going to rust over. But their terms state they dont cover them so you're on your own. They dont cover acts of god. Frankly, this one is **. How do you classify an act of god? If you're religious, aren't all things acts of god?

    My house was 8 years old when I bought it and the previous owner failed to do a lot of maintenance. One of the terms is that if it's a failure due to lack of maintenance, you're on your own. Also, they won't service a unit that's under warranty from the manufacturer. So, basically you're better off keeping up with the manufacturer's warranty instead of dealing with all the well-crafted loopholes that this company sewed into their terms.

    "Acts of God" is an industry-standard term. If you google this phrase you will find its clear meaning, this refers to storms, floods, earthquakes etc. This has no bearing on religion. I have included a link and definition for you below. When it comes to rust, again no warranty company covers this. Rust takes years to occur and Home Warranty is for unexpected failures. If your unit is rusting and you are having your annual Preventative maintenance as recommended you would know this well before it would cause an issue, therefore can be taken care of before failure due to rust occurs.

    Therefore, the manufacturer of HVAC systems says you need to have them serviced once a year by a licensed technician, to stop these things from occurring.

    In reference to your questions about manufacturer warranty, most of the manufacturers only warranty their equipment for one year, therefore you have no coverage from them after that date, it is not something you can choose to stay with or not, it's just comes on your items for 1-year to make sure there were no manufacturer defects.

    AFC refused to cover our home interior plumbing leak because we did not report it to them before having it fixed. Right, so I am supposed to wait for days/weeks with water spraying out inside our walls while AFC decides whether they will cover the repair bills? I submitted this to them two weeks ago and am just now hearing back from them. If they will not cover this kind of emergency (which the Gold Plan states is covered), you can bet they will not cover less urgent issues. They are good for nothing, so my advice to those who are considering AFC, don't waste your monthly premiums on their useless policy.

    Please be aware no home warranty is for use in emergency services such as this, nor do we ever expect you to wait in these situations. We simply ask that before the work is done you open a request. We are here to help make sure the work is done properly and at the correct price. We are an advocate for you. We cannot approve reimbursement on work is done without our approval or knowledge.

    If you discover an emergency situation all you need to do is call the person of your choice. While you wait for them to be en route you simply go online or call our 24/7 service line and open your request, tell us you have your own tech and we will just ask that you call in while they are there or submit the paperwork after the fact.

    When I had a little leak underneath my kitchen sink, getting everything set up with the vendor took about four phone calls to America's First Choice and the whole process took about three weeks. The first phone call, they said, “We got an email. Here’s your vendor. He’ll be coming out on this day.” I waited, but the vendor never came out. When I called them, they said they didn't exist anymore. I had to call and explain that to America's First Choice. The technician was great though.     I had the blower motor assembly on my AC replaced. AFC said they covered that so we had the work done. When I went to be reimbursed for the work, they only covered the motor component (not the entire assembly). No quality licensed and insured AC repair company would ever just replace one part of the assembly - they would order the entire OEM assembly to make sure the problem was completely fixed. AFC also only covered $100 of the labor cost and none of the tax so basically I was reimbursed about 1/3 of what I paid. What is even the point to go through hoops to barely get any of your money back. I don't even know how this is company is allowed to operate today.

    While we apologize for your frustration, unfortunately, it lies with the wrong company. Per the claim notes, AFC showed you where the part can be obtained for $245.00. Trane does not require OEM parts to function at 100% capacity if you want to use those parts that is your choice as a homeowner. AFC paid well over that and included $180.00 extra for tax, labor, and incidentals. The assembly portion is not mechanical it is simply two pieces of metal that do not have to be replaced unless the motor does not fit, or the items are rusted.

    Home Warranty covers the mechanical items which are the costly items. I would urge you to contact the technician you had to your home and inquire on why he placed a 70% mark up on his parts/ labor. In the interest of customer satisfaction, what would you feel is fair in this instance? The parts are significantly marked up by your technician, our guidelines are clear on the covered and non-covered items. I did find an OEM blower motor assembly for Trane at the cost of $647.77. If we increased the $425.00 coverage to a total of $647.77 would you feel this is agreeable to maintain your membership with AFC and reflect this in the rating of your experience with us?

    I went with AFC but then I canceled them. When I put in a claim and tried using my warranty, they honored it but then they reduced it by a large amount because the furnace that their contractor was fixing was older. There was a lot of small print in the contract that a lot of people don't read about. One of the reasons I took out a warranty on several of my older houses because I thought the appliances, the furnace and the hot water tank would be covered. They're older, and eventually, they're going to be replaced. But then I found out that anything over 8 to 10 years is not usually covered 100% when it comes to repairs. It's always reduced. AFC should inform people about the small print they have.

    I originally used Old Republic and I was looking for a company that had a lower deductible. I did a Google search, found AFC Home Club, and signed up with them. So far, I've had a couple of claims with them that went really smooth. But the one that was the worse was the most impactful and that was for the air conditioner. I was told that the air conditioner was covered but when it blew and failed in the middle of a Phoenix summer, they weren't open on Saturday. So, I couldn't even get the claim started until Monday. It was 120 degrees outside and that made it a little difficult. There was somebody that answered the phone but they didn't even start a claim until Monday, which is a little ridiculous for a company that's supposed to be 24/7.

    And it was probably in writing, but it was not told that anything over 10 years old that doesn't have any kind of warranty is not gonna be covered. So, they offered me $180 for a $6000 unit, which was a little embarrassing. Also, I've done some reviews and searches since then and I found that they offered $180 for a lot of things because that's their set little value. So, they didn't really give a value to what was the issue. They just set some number to shut me up. So, I wasn't really appreciative of that. Aside from that, I gave a Google feedback on this issue and the person responding to that feedback said that someone would contact me shortly about the issue. But I have not received a phone call about it since. And that was in July. I also went back to that review and put a follow-up that they still haven't done anything.

    Other than that, the people who came out for the AC were fine. They have no control over the amount that AFC offered and I understand that. Aside from them, I also had one contractor with my pool. At the time, I was having trouble with the heater and I had them come over because I have a hot tub heater pool whole set up as one. And this company called Tim something pools came over and said that it was broken. They also said that I needed a brand new heater and the cost of that was not covered by a warranty. But I called up a friend of mine who does this for a living and they came over. They had it fixed within three minutes and there was nothing wrong with it. So, the contractor was trying to upsell big time on something that didn't need to be upsold and I had a problem with that. All in all, I will not use AFC again and when I'm done with my contract, I will go find somebody else.

    When purchasing representatives never mentioned the 30 day waiting period and then another 30 days where they only pay 150.00 for any covered problem. You do not find out these facts until you get their portfolio in the mail. If they had mentioned the parameters of the coverage for the first two months I never would've purchased.. My suggestion is to go elsewhere and find a more reputable company for your homeowners insurance. I know I will.

    I initiated an issue with my GoodMan HVAC system for heating problems. I was told that it has a 10 year warranty and that they would not help me out with anything on this front. So I would have to deal with Goodman and the service tech. I was promised the sky when I purchased this for my townhome and the current home. But I was shocked to see how bad their agreement is and they do not cover anything. I would be cancelling their insurance and going over to some company that really treats their customers well. This company should be given negative stars.

    When purchasing a home warranty with AFC you can exclude or include items to fir your specific needs and pay for only what you need.

    It is an Industry standard with any home warranty company to not cover a system under manufacturer warranty. You purchased a plan to cover 20+ things in your home which it is accomplishing. If a unit fails that happens to still fall under manufacturer warranty you must first go directly to them since they made the product. We are not allowed to void your manufacturer's warranty.

    Most manufacturer warranties last 1 year, in rare cases an HVAC may have a 5 or 10-year restricted warranty. In these cases, as the homeowner, it is your home, therefore your task to know these manufacturer coverages. If you do not, or you are new to the home you can always check your manufactures site directly or call AFC with your Make, Model and Serial number and we can help you directly.

    I called this weekend due to a failure of my water heater, I have a platinum plan and have even paid extra to make certain all of my house devices were covered and correctly. I requested service and was advised that I just need to call a licensed and insured plumber to complete the work (as it says on the website is the process) and when they arrived on site that they needed to call and leave a message with someone. When the plumber arrived they diagnosed the issue and made the call to this company, left a VM as instructed and then completed the work.

    I called today to find out how to submit the claim (As I was never sent any of the documentation or anything else for this program) and I was advised that because the water heater failed because of a leak (presumed to be a rupture but who will ever know as the units are by this point in recycling and we always keep the units pretty low due to the fact we have children and dont want to burn them) they would not be covered. What is the point? This is what insurance is meant to cover. You can't choose to say that you will only cover this small sliver of failures and the ones most likely to happen with a unit are not covered. The units were less than 8 years old and showed no signs of damage and passed the home inspection well so nothing seemed to be suspect.

    I am hoping they will come back with a better answer but at this point I would advise everyone to stay as far away from these people as possible. They misrepresent what they are selling. They will not actually cover anything and I would rather have my 800 bucks back to apply toward my now broken water heaters that they are claiming are not covered.

    The technicians are fine, but AFC is borderline fraud. I'm a finance professional, and I review contracts all at the time. The way that these contracts are set up is that they basically line item exclude anything that you wouldn't think you would actually ever need. So the contract is pretty much worthless. Trying to get reimbursement for any kind of work that was done is incredibly bureaucratic. It is set up as a series of obstacles. So I need to get off my butt and just cancel my service with them. It is less than worthless. It is a complete waste of my time and just perennial frustration. I wouldn't wish this stuff on my worst enemy.

    I've had good experience and good follow-up from AFC, yet sometimes, I've had to chase them to get back with me and to get resolution. It's kind of perplexing. And from what other people say about their home warranty, other companies pay a lot more than AFC does. AFC doesn't pay for much and it seems like there's always too many exclusions.

    In a 72-hour time frame, my garage door opener didn't work, my oven went and my water heater went. So, I opened up three claims, and it was a different person every time. Everybody had to go follow up and see if AFC was gonna approve it, and that approval time frame is long. The people were helpful, but it was frustrating sitting here while they say they would call AFC again to see what the scoop was, only to find out that they won't cover it. There was always a reason.

    For the water heater, the plumber said something happened where the pilot light would not go off, and AFC would not cover that because they only cover certain amount of mechanical. Now, I had the guy who owned the plumbing company for 35 years, and he said that the pilot light couldn't stay on, and they will replace it. It's the way we can deal with it, but AFC didn't see that. They just depended on what the technician said and did not cover it, and gave me $200 instead as a nice thing to do. I appreciate that they gave me a little help with it, but I had to pay $1,350. And it took me 30 days to get the check. It was like, come on, this is 2020. It's that kind of stuff that bothers you. For my garage door opener, it cost me $200 and AFC basically gave me nothing. I also had a problem with my pool, and they only covered a part of it. I bought this home warranty so I wouldn't have to pay, yet I seem to be having to pay.

    They covered the oven, because it was a fuse, but I still had to pay $100. The technician was fantastic, though. In fact, AFC had great stuff out here as far as repair. And except for having to chase the service management down and to get some feedback, their reps have been very nice on the phone and professional. It's just that the coverage seems to be speculative, so buyer beware.

    While America's First Choice's contractors have been fine, with claims, some things they cover and other they don't or I've had to pay part of. I have never heard of that before and it was very weird. We had some pool stuff that because of the age of the stuff, AFC depreciated it saying that the thing was only supposed to last 10 years and it's at nine years so they were gonna replace it. But then, we would have to pay the $75 fee. We decided that we would go ahead with that and cover half the cost while AFC covers the other half. So, I had to come up with and additional $140 and they came up with the other half.

    A week later, we had a water leak out back on an anti-siphon spigot connected to our pool. I paid $75 to have somebody come out to tell me that the issue wasn't covered. They said that because the leak was outside the house and it was part of the pool, it wasn't covered. I wish the contractor would have determined that my problem wasn't covered before I spent the $75. I spent $75 but then it was $350 to fix my issue. So, we ended up calling somebody else who came out for $250 and did the job. We had somebody else who was a bit cheaper do the job because it was coming out of our pocket anyway.

    If my air conditioner goes out, AFC will look at the year of it and only cover so much. That totally scares me and I'm very nervous about some of the big ticket items in my house. My other company would say that they would fix or replace those items. They're not in between where I'm gonna have to pay 50% or they would only cover part of it and they would have to come up with the rest.

    Still, AFC went out of their way and covered something that wasn't supposed to be covered another time. Our garage door was making a lot of noise and AFC sent somebody out and the problem was just the wheels. AFC said the wheels aren't covered but then they covered it for which I was very appreciative. AFC has also been responsive. Additionally, with them, if I know somebody or I wanna get my own my contractor, they give me that option.

    When we bought the house, the previous owner had AFC Home Club and we checked around and assumed it. The claims process was not good. We had the hot water heater go out on us. It was leaking and the plumber said it was because of rust buildup, and it needed to be replaced. Then, we got a call from AFC saying that it wasn’t a covered item. The plumber company called me back and said AFC rejected it based on what the plumbing company said but the plumber told me they just said it was leaking and they didn’t know how or where. AFC never said that was the problem so it shouldn’t have been denied.

    We need to fix this mistake and get the water heater covered and reimbursed for whatever amount is reasonable and for practice. The plumbing company was good and there was no issue or difficulty with them. The call from AFC saying they were not covering it was the least satisfying of all the conversations because it was curt, short and conclusionary. After what happened, I told AFC I wasn’t gonna renew. I was ticked off because I've had American Home Shield and they replaced my water heater, and they’ve been excellent in the past. This is the first time I have worked with AFC and I was not happy at all with how they dismissed it, the explanation they gave, and that it wasn’t even accurate in hindsight.

    I had a couple of things go wrong with the new house that I purchased and I wanted to have some protection against it. America's First Choice Home Club seemed to be a lot smaller and when I was researching them and trying to get in contact with them, they seemed to be able to better answer my questions. Submitting a claim to them has been really easy for the most part. I have filed two claims and the issues that I’ve had with them were the wait times, they were long, and trying to get certain things resolved has taken a while. But once I’ve gotten in touch with the proper people, they’ve usually been really good about doing the claim.

    The technicians that AFC Home Club find don’t seem to be the best. It seems to be better if you can find your own technicians. The one that they contracted out, I have not had the best experience with them. One of them didn’t show up. One of them came out, tried to explain what was going on with my issue, and he was supposed to get back to them. And the ticket got closed out and it wasn’t supposed to be closed out. I couldn’t get back in contact with him. In fact, I’m still trying to get in contact with him. AFC had issues with getting in contact with him too. So, dealing with their technician has not been the best. At this point, I’m waiting for AFC Club to get back to me.

    Furthermore, AFC Home Club has a 30-day waiting period which is clear, but there’s also another 30-day period that’s in the contract. And that was not explicitly pointed out. I would like for them to be more clear with that because I had something go wrong with my dishwasher after the 30-day period, and I was expecting it to be covered. They said they wouldn’t cover in full because there was another 30-day waiting period. The info was in the packet, but it was not explicitly explained to me, and that was something I wasn’t necessarily expecting to hear. So, they need to do better with that.

    We have AFC home warranty and need to cancel service as our home has sold. When I called to ask what the criteria is to cancel the contract, I was told to "write a letter to the cancellation department with 30 days notice of cancellation." I wrote to AFC on October 11, 2019 cancelling effective November 30, 2019. I gave MORE THAN 30 DAYS NOTICE, per instructions from "Tasmia **" with AFC (called her on 10 /11/2019). As we were under the assumption that our coverage extended to November 30, we placed an online service request last evening, 10/31/2019, for our built in microwave that stopped working. Today I received a call from "Heather" that we are not covered as they cancelled our service the day they received our letter! Even though we have already been charged on our credit card for service to November 9, 2019.

    We are left with a bill of $707.00 for a replacement GE Profile microwave. The current unit cannot be repaired. On the call with "Heather" today she advised that our service ended TODAY. This is not the first issue with AFC. On Oct 4 we put in a service call for our garage door opener as the safety board in the motor died. We were told that the item was not covered as "safety switched" are not covered. I pulled out the contract and YES! Safety switched are covered. After a round-around with AFC, they agreed to reimburse us for the $325. For new opener. Almost a month later, still no reimbursement. We have had Universal Home Protection, American Home Shield and Home Service Club warranties on other homes we've owned. I could kick myself for going with AFC this time.

    I saw an announcement on the internet saying that America’s 1st Choice was one of the best companies ever, but it’s the worst. I used to have a homeowner’s insurance before that covered most of everything. With this company, I only get covered 10% and I have to put the rest on my own, which is ridiculous. They make you get a contract for three years and they deduct the money on a monthly basis. For more than six months, I have not gotten the percentage refunded to me. Most of the time I have to find the contractors on my own and then, they only approve certain percentage and I have to pay for the bill. I have to submit the claim and I only get pennies on the dollar of what I pay for. I had two claims that I had to pay on my own and I’ve been trying to get out of the contract and I can’t. I do not recommend AFC at all. Most of the time, they deny the claim and it’s extremely expensive for this type of service that they provide.

When I call, they tell me it would take 24 to 48 hours to get somebody, just to get information about the issue. And every time I call, I feel like they have an issue of covering stuff. They refused to fix the water heater for us, and they claim that it's because it’s under warranty from the manufacturer. It was a headache doing it through the manufacturer, who didn’t send somebody to fix it. They sent us a part and it didn’t work. They sent us another part and it didn’t work. We had to get somebody else to come and fix it. It was a rental property, and we needed to fix it very fast, but it took more than three weeks.     Also, AFC did my air-conditioning for my house and an air-conditioning from another house, but we have to have proof that we did maintenance on the air-conditioning. On the lower line, lower level folks that pick up the phone and you deal with claims are not knowledgeable about their own policies or the contract. Then we found out that the lower level person interpreted something incorrectly. But I've had a very positive experience when things get escalated to the management and how they’ve handled the situation. But almost like every claim, there was some kind of friction going on at first at the lower level and some denial that I then have to escalate to get resolved.

    The contractors haven't been great so far. I had a clogged drain and the contractor tried to unclog it but didn’t have heavy enough equipment to deal with the type of clog. He said he gotta go back and get a help from a more experienced person, his father. His father said they put enough time on it and they were done, and that if I wanna pay them $300 to do a camera through there, they could do it. I said it didn't need a camera. He put the claim into the warranty company that it required a camera. The warranty company denied the claim because it was not covered for camera work.

    I told them it didn't need a camera and suggested I pay for a guy to come out, and if he determined that it didn’t need a camera and it was just a normal clog, then they pay for it. That was what happened. They were good at paying. I think I had another contractor who came out and did a poor job, and I had to call him back out. But I’ve always had the issues resolved. They’ve just been painful. If I wasn’t somebody who had a military background and is a more direct person, I probably would have been out of luck several times with this company. I’ve had to battle many times, but I think it was just a legitimate regular claim.

    We were buying a new home and looked into a home warranty. We Googled some companies and heard about AFC Home Club, and we went with them. We submitted a claim for a leak and AFC told us that they didn’t do emergencies and it could be 48 hours before somebody would contact us, which wasn’t okay. So, we just found our own contractor and then submitted the invoice. It took over 30 days to get the payment back from them. We also had a dryer issue and AFC sent out a technician who couldn't fix it. He came out three times and just replaced the same part. The last time it broke, I called back and the technician said he wasn't coming back to fix it because he didn't think it was fixable. So AFC told us to replace the dryer.

    AFC Home Club should've sent somebody different out to at least get a second opinion but the rep that I last spoke to wasn't super friendly or helpful. So, I didn't wanna talk to her anymore. I just said, "Whatever," and we went and bought a new dryer. After that, it took 30 to 45 days to send the replacement money, which was 100 bucks. So right now, we don't see the point in having them. We probably won't renew with them and we’ll probably go to American Home Shield because others that we know that have them has had better luck.

    AFC Home Club looked like they had a better program and the cost was more affordable. But I had it for a year and it was terrible. Putting in claims was a little bit difficult. Once a claim was in, they started nitpicking every little thing and by the time they were done with it, you might as well have hired a company out of pocket and not even have a plan. That was with the three claims I put in.

    Nothing happened to any of my claims, except for the one with my air conditioning unit where we believed there was a leak. The guy who came out still refilled it with freon which was illegal to do. I paid $500 something out of pocket, but there was a misprocess with the contractor and the insurance. I only got $150 reimbursement for that and it literally took me four weeks just to get it. I spent more time dealing with that and I could’ve just paid somebody out of pocket and saved money and time. I also told them that I no longer wanted them. Then they automatically renewed it on my credit card after I told that that I'm not happy with them. It took me about a month to deal with AFC Home Club before they finally removed the charge.

    I have eight properties that are currently signed up with a home warranty with AFC. They seemed to have pretty good reviews online but whenever I submit a claim, which is rare, the service department seems to spend a lot of time trying to tell me why the claim cannot be honored and that it's out of the protection of the policy. So that is frustrating. I understand very much that there is written description in the policy on what is covered and what is not covered and I'm not saying that they don’t cover things but oftentimes, it starts off with a very negative type of approach. It’s like when you go to see a doctor and before you even get your problems diagnosed, this doctor tells you that your illness is probably terminal. I suppose that is how AFC reps are trained because they act like robots. Every time when they receive a service call and when they communicate with me, they always start off with the same type of a presentation.

    The claims range from anything like the air conditioning system to a simple garbage disposal. The last one was a garbage disposal claim and before they even discussed the specifics with me, they said they could give me $125 and I could either replace or fix the unit. They said that was the maximum. But that was okay. The disposal is not a major problem. It’s just that you don’t feel good when people do that. They just told me to send in the invoice and then they would figure out what the reimbursement was.

    But I feel like something in writing is clearer than something I think I heard. So before I did that, I emailed the person, saying what I understood my options were and asking them to please respond and tell me if my understanding was correct. But I never got any response. Then last year, they took care of a refrigerator issue but then said the refrigerator was very old and that after that, they would not fix it again. They would fix the current issue but they would not accept any claims again. If that’s the policy though, that’s fine.

    I learned a very valuable lesson this week. 2.5 years ago I purchased a home in Asbury Park. I researched home warranty companies at the suggestion of my real estate agent, lawyer, and bank because the house is old and so are the heating and ac units. I spent time on the phone with numerous companies going over their policies, what is covered and what is not. I was up front and honest about the age of the units, and I was informed that age doesn't matter as long as it is in working order at the time of the policy purchase. No inspections were needed all I had to do was give a credit card number.

    Fast forward to now and my furnace/boiler, upon having a maintenance check, proved to be spewing carbon monoxide, it is cracked and shows signs of aging through rust and corrosion. And because of that it is not covered, even though it worked fine for the last two winters. I understand that in the "fine print" under "limited liability" it explains this. When I spoke to the sales person who assured me age did not matter, he made no mention of this. Also, it is not mentioned under what and what is not covered under the AC, heating, or water heater. I feel that this should be brought to the attention of the prospected buyer before a contract is filed. I would not have spent my money to "protect" myself from failing systems had I known this.

    As far as I am concerned this clause rules out older systems, especially water heaters, because most of the time a water heater will rust from within before it dies! I would not recommend any company that does not disclose this information to a consumer looking for the "peace of mind" that these companies sell you!!! I will also make sure that my realtor makes buyers aware of this. I feel that these companies should be made to let consumers know about this little clause and it should be in a more appropriate place in the contract, under what is and is not covered on each specific item. I will not be using this company again and I will also not be recommending them to anyone. And I will be sending out messages to the realtors in my area making them aware!

    A few weeks ago, on a Sunday, our 50 gallon water heater tank broke down, and water was pouring out, into our garage. I immediately called AFC and left a message. After a couple of hours with no return phone call, I called again and spoke to someone from their answering service and explained my situation, and was informed that they were closed, but someone would call me back the following morning (Monday) or I could call AFC on Monday morning after 6:00 a.m., but received no help or assistance from AFC on Sunday.

    When I called AFC on Monday morning, their representative told me that they would not provide assistance or do the labor on replacing my water heater, because it was still under warranty, and that I should call any plumber of my choice to handle it, because AFC would not cover the labor. That explanation was so absurd, I could not believe what I was hearing. To this day, I don't understand how they could NOT supply the labor, because of the tank still being under a manufacturer's warranty. I was very disappointed to get that inane explanation.

    Needless to say, being a dissatisfied customer, I have since cancelled my policy with AFC, for which they charged a $75 cancellation fee, and also refused to refund any portion of my premium, because I used their services one time earlier this year, for which I paid the $75 service charge. Bottomline is that I think "America's 1st Choice Home Club" should be renamed to be "America's LAST CHOICE Home Club."

And that representative was even harder to understand than the first one. So then I called a second company, simply trying to ask questions about coverage and basic information. The guy kept interrupting me in mid sentence trying to sign me up. When I said “I’m not ready to commit to a company yet, I simply wanna ask some questions please.“, he hung up on me.

We could have been dishonest and said we did but I wouldn’t do that. We are only in this house 2 yrs and we had just renewed our contract with you and no one...no salesman...told us either year that we had to do that. The man that came was a great technician and fixed it. I think. Even though it says that in the contract, the salesman should tell the customer that you have to have yearly maintenance in order for it to be fully covered on a covered item. The AC is the biggest item usually in the Home Contract and the customer needs to be told that verbally.

    Submitting a claim to America's 1st Choice is tedious and they should speed up the process. My AC went out during the hot part of summer and it was out for a month and a half. They said that the parts were holding up and at one time, somebody was sent a bad part that kept tripping my AC. In the end, the tech found out the motor was bad and that was put in. So, the AC is finally fixed. However, America's 1st Choice charged me again for the other service call. They could have said, “Okay, since the guy got a bad part, that’s what caused it in the first place, so let’s not charge him again.” They also could have just heard it out and dealt with it. It’s all related to the same thing and it never really got fixed all the way. It was after a lot of arguments and discussion that they finally reversed it. AFC should make everything easier and listen to what’s going on.

    America's First Choice Home Club was rated as being the best and so we went with them to try to have the best coverage. However, I’m not really too happy with them because every time, it seems like I go after them to hack something that’s not covered and I get tired. It’s not the representatives' fault and they’re just going by what they’re being told, but I should take a better look at the company. My microwave was supposed to be covered but when its motor went out on it, which is the main item that’s in the whole stupid thing, they didn’t cover that. Also, over the summer, I called AFC because the air conditioning's compressor went out. They said, “Oh, that’s not covered,” so I had to end up paying out of my own pocket to get it fixed. So, what’s the point? If I use their services, I expect that when the air conditioner goes out, they would fix it. What the heck am I paying them money for if nothing’s covered?

They needed my report, but I just contacted the guy who’s doing preventive maintenance because they moved to Las Vegas, so I cannot send the report right away. AFC takes time before they return calls. It's too hot in California, and they say we have to wait. They told me after 24 hours somebody would call, but it’s been over 48 hours. The contractors come out after few hours they call and get an appointment. I’m not happy and I’m looking for another company.

    America's 1st Choice Home Club has three different levels of service, so I chose the higher level figuring I should be good. My problem is that one minute they tell me one thing is covered, and then it's not. If I say the septic is covered, then it may not be covered. If I want the sump pump to be covered, it's not covered. And then when I did some other plumbing work I had a problem with, I was at my limit. It's a $600 limit. And the plumbers are expensive. They charge you all kinds of different fees, and then I'm still paying for the year but I'm at my limit. So, it seems I have to get another coverage to cover the rest.

    I spoke with them and they told me, "You have to look and read your policy." But you don't get the policy 'til after you pay for the insurance. So, you can't read all the fine print until you actually acquire the policy. Other than that, I like the fact that AFC lets you use a plumber in your area as opposed to waiting for one of their people to come out. So, I'm not waiting so long. You just submit the bill to them, and they reimburse you minus the deductible.

    Do not waste your time or money on this company! They say they cover interior wiring but if your outlet stops working they won’t send out a technician because “outlets are not covered”. They said I had to hire a licensed electrician to provide documentation that the outlet wasn’t bad before they would send out an technician. In other words I had to pay $200 for an Electrician to come out to prove that the wiring was bad. I lost my mind!!! Once I got a manager on the phone he agreed to send out a technician. WTF?!? Moral of the story...make sure to always ask for a manager. Brilliant customer service strategy!!! Also in an earlier encounter, they said that heaters/furnaces are covered but I found out later that they only cover the type that are ducted. Don’t waste your money. What a ridiculous excuse for a warranty company. Old Republic is more expensive but at least they cover stuff when it goes wrong.

    AFC spent more time trying to get out of helping me, than actually helping. The CS reps speak over you to go over how their "guidelines clearly state". My evaporator coil went out on my AC. No problem, because i have a home warranty right? WRONG. 2 service techs and over a dozen calls later - i have to pay someone to install it. AFC doesn't cover the item if it's covered through the manufacturer warranty. Ok. Manufacturer warranty gives you an evaporator coil. Great. NO ONE WILL INSTALL IT. AFC says that even though the coil is listed as a covered item, everything is void because it has a manufacturer warranty.

    Also, since i'm unhappy, i want to cancel my service warranty with AFC. Great- they do not accept those over the phone, via email. Only the most inconvenient way possible - a signed certified letter. I had Old Republic before - i called and had several service calls. They just showed up and fixed. Never asked me to go get a serial number from the unit, never to call a AC Tech and have them confirm what is wrong with the unit before they will send someone. Worst "warranty" every.

    I called in this request on Sunday, I received numerous e-mails informing me of the status of my service request. The technician assigned was late however his company called twice to inform me of his status (to which I was ok). He was placed on hold for over twenty minutes during which time his boss called and said he had to leave to go to the next job.     I finally got through and handed the technician my phone, at this time he provided his name and work order number. Once again he was placed on hold until he finally explained to me he had to go. I fully understood his concerns. Shortly after he left the representative came back on the phone and said we had approval and asked for the technician, I explained to her he had to leave. She seemed very unhappy, and I explained he had waited as long as he could. It was explained to me a couple of times that your company was paying $215.00 for this service. Do I need to remind your company that I’m the customer and I pay monthly premiums for this service. END.

The only work that AFC did was on the washing machine. The techs came out and they had to replace a board on it. Quality of the work was fine, though somebody dropped the ball with the communication between AFC and the repair people, and they didn’t get the part ordered until I got on them about a week later to find out what the status was.

    I gave this company 2 stars because the employees that I interacted with were uniformly pleasant and extremely persuasive which indicates excellent training within that department. However, and this is important, there is an aspect of their contract that they very carefully obscure. If anything in your house is still under any portion of the manufacturer's warranty they will do nothing for you. So, even though almost everything in your home comes with two warranties from the manufacturer (one for labor and one for parts) if the labor portion has expired and the parts portion is still in force they will not help in any way to get it fixed.

    Here is the way they put it in their rights section of the membership agreement. “Crast will not be held responsible for any part or labor costs associated with a manufacturer warranty, all manufacturer covered breakdowns will initially go through the manufacturer service process if a warranty is still in place on the unit. The product manufacturer must be contacted for service.” They use that clause and then reference their own guidelines to have no responsibility to cover labor costs! You would think that you’re buying the warranty to cover costs outside of the manufacturer's warranty, but their “guidelines” “prevent” them getting involved. I know all insurance companies look for clever ways to deny coverage, but this one is, in my opinion, extremely underhanded. Buyer beware!

    I have three properties with America's 1st Choice Home Club. I call them on the phone to submit claims and they are responsive. But the way the policies are set up, they have figured out a way how to get out of anything big. It has got to do at a bigger level, not a customer service level with the people I'm dealing with. "We don't cover this. We don't cover that." There's hardly anything they cover. It's almost like they're looking for an excuse not to cover. So, I don't know what I'm paying for. I've had other warranty companies and I have not had that complaint with them for years. I wish I had an attorney full time on my payroll which would check every contract. And that's what companies do. This is the problem with the world we live in today. It is not about what is the right thing. It is about the way we live. I'm stuck with AFC Home Club and possibly once things settle down, I'm going to move out of there.

    This is my first time purchasing this protection plan, the Platinum Home Protection Plan. My A/C stopped cooling. I placed my 1st ever request for service on 9/10/19. I was told that the request could take between 24-48 hours to schedule. 9/11/19 I got the call and email that they've assigned it to a technician. Fantastic, right at 24 hours later. Ok. The technician came at 5:45 PM on the 11th. I paid the $75 service call fee. Then I get a call from AFC that they do not cover any portion of the diagnostic fee; that is between $186 for one test or $200 for a different test. I paid the $186 for the isolation test. We found the leak. 9/13 The technician submitted the proposal. I got an email stating "We have reached a resolution for your service request. A customer service representative will be reaching out to you to go over the resolution with you." A rep did not call me. I actually called them.

    I learned that the cause of the leak is not covered, therefore AFC denied the claim. I asked AFC to cover what they do cover which according to my contract is the Refrigerant up to $25 per pound, limit of 10 lbs. The representative said that because the leak is caused by a non-covered item that automatically makes the Refrigerant a non-covered item. That is not stated in the contract, that is a choice they chose to make in denying that portion of the claim.

    Tyler, you are a great salesman. Kudos, but next time maybe don't lie and mislead customers to close that sale. Olivia, thank you for being patient with me as this is new territory. Karen in management, your effort to pretend to sympathize with me was all for naught, because you come across as insincere and condescending and I did not appreciate it.

    I hope my review helps others when making their decision as well as the company in coaching and training. I am writing to cancel my coverage as it was a waste of money for me. I hope I'm able to get a full refund seeing as how they cost me more money than they were willing to cover. I would be better off not having purchased this and paid the contractor from the start. Cut out the middle man.

    The failure was due to normal wear and tear per the technician "two capillary tube rub and created a crack after the years". Home Warranty is in place for unexpected mechanical failures. Your tube rub happened over the years per the tech meaning it was long term. You have been a member for 45 days and the technician stated this kind of breakdown would not happen within that time.

    When I called America's 1st Choice Home Club, the salesman sold me a ball of wax. I have decided to get their warranty but I have not been happy with my experience. Submitting a claim is terrible. When I put in a request, I am in line for 15, 20 minutes before I get anybody to answer only to say that they have to transfer me to another department. Then, when I get transferred, it's 15, 20 minutes there and then I get disconnected. Then, I gotta go through the whole process again.

    I have two claims for my washer and my dryer which were both going out at the same time. My dryer stops in the middle of the cycle and doesn't dry so I gotta restart it. Sometimes, it will restart and sometimes it will not. So the techs from AFC Home Club came out. My washing machine, on the other hand, makes all sorts of noise. I paid $150 for AFC to evaluate and find out who's gonna troubleshoot it. The contractor said I needed a timer and a bearing for the dryer and transmission for the washer. They submitted the report. Then I got a call that they are not gonna do the washer because they don't fix transmissions or replace them. I asked them why not and they said that it was just how it is.

    They fixed the dryer or at least they thought that they did. It was doing the same thing on the first load. I called the people back and the service guy came out, took the part off again and said, "Well, I don't know". He put it all back together and told me to call him if it happens again. We did the laundry yesterday and it started doing the same thing. I had to go out and buy a new washer because AFC Home Club wouldn't cover it. I'm pissed off because I paid $500 on a Platinum warranty that I could throw out the window because it ain't any good. When I was buying it, the rep said I just have to pay the $75 and I don't have to worry about a thing. But here I am, spending money which I shouldn't have to. AFC Home Club stinks and they're the worst company I've ever dealt with. They don't stand behind their warranty and they don't cover what they say they're gonna cover.

    The first plumber that AFC sent out didn’t know what he was doing. He made a hole where it was not even leaking, and so, he made a issue that didn’t have to be. I should had to have the one hole. I called back because I was so upset. I had to pay him. I asked, "Why am I paying him, because he did nothing?" He created problems for me. AFC checked on me, and said, “Ma'am how are you? What’s going on?” And then when I paid the plumber that didn’t do anything, he just messed it up, they said, “Ma'am we will take care of the other deal, so don’t even worry about it.” I thought that was great than having to pay 100 something because it’s $60 when they come. And they said, “Ma'am don’t worry.” They’ve been there for me.

    The second plumber that was sent was awesome. He came in and took care of it. He said so much was done that was unnecessary. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he shook his head about the first wall. He said, “Man, he just brought it down. Okay, let’s take care of this.” He came right here and did the work. But he said, “I’m so sorry ma'am. I have to make another hole in the wall where it should be made in the first place, and that was in your room.” That particular bathroom is against where the problem was. He did an awesome job. He said, before they close it up, to make sure there was no water. But from what I could see, there's no water.

    But I still have these holes. AFC told me I have to find somebody that was certified. I’m still trying to look, and they told me they would pay up to 250. They would help me to get it fixed back. I’m very picky about the way I live. I like everything in place. The holiday season is coming up really fast and I’m going to have lots of guests, and I don’t want them to see that. I’m trying to find someone before the holiday comes, because I can’t tell them, “You can’t come.” They will fly in and drive in, and will come from all different ways. I hope I get someone soon.

    A home warranty was included in our home purchase and we were given $550. America's First Choice Home Club was the only one that would include a septic and a well for that price. However, AFC couldn’t get any of their contractors out for the septic tank when we filed a claim and we finally used our guy. We moved in during the wintertime and then our air conditioning went out the first time we turned it on, and AFC wouldn't cover anything since we hadn't done the maintenance. It was working during the inspection in August and we moved in at the end of October and we hadn't turned it on. We hadn’t got it checked because you don't really turn it on the winter and if you put it on low, the house is already cold, so it's not gonna kick on.

    When we called to submit a claim to AFC, it was kinda confusing because we thought we were okay but then, it waited the weekend and I called because I hadn’t heard anything. They said they needed the part number and I told them that we gave the air conditioning unit number. They said they didn’t take it down and I told them that they could have called me and told me that they were waiting for that. So, we were without air conditioning for a long time because of miscommunication. It was almost two weeks.

    The contractor for the air conditioning was okay but we didn’t end up going with him because he said we needed 31 pounds of Freon. We got a second opinion and it was a little different than his. The other guy said that we needed a little bit of Freon but not that much because the air conditioning doesn’t even hold that much. We had to get a new unit. We were expecting that but it would've been nice to just add the Freon and or at least give us a couple of days' worth of air conditioning. It was a painful experience with AFC but then, most of the warranty companies are, so I’m used to it.

    I did a lot of research on Google and found out that America's First Choice is my best option. Originally, America's First Choice Home Club was great. We had good communications. Submitting a claim was quick, easy and to the point. I basically done most of it, 99% of it on the internet. However, I sent them the bill and the lady I talked with three days after the repair said she was going to send it to me on a cash app, but we've never received it.

    But the contractor has been great. I have no problems whatsoever with anything that's happened on this claim with the ac. They had to go up and replace the drip pan and something else because it was very low on the Freon. They've done a very good job and the ac has been working excellent. I'm retired, and I like things to be convenient, and I don't like to waste my time on anything. Everything was so fast and to the point. That's what I like about it. There were none of these crazy questions. No challenges or anything. They just fixed it, got out, and it worked.

    My most recent claim was for the refrigerator that was not cooling. It was leaking water and a lot of food spoiled. AFC sent somebody out to fix the refrigerator which has two sides, the freezer that makes the ice and, the right side, the refrigerator side. I did not have any problem with the freezer side. But after a technician repaired the problem with the refrigerator, then my icemaker stopped working. I called the technician and they came back and looked at it. She didn’t know what to do with the icemaker and said it was not her fault and that I need to call the home warranty company and let them know. I told them I am not looking for somebody to fix my icemaker. I never had any problem with it. The only issue I had was the refrigerator part. And now, they’re telling me it’s a different issue.

    All the appliances I have are very good appliances. When I was with American Home Shield, they did not replace any appliance for me. I bought everything myself and I don’t buy cheap appliances like what the home warranty company does. AFC sent somebody to look at the icemaker, and that person said it needs to be replaced. I had to pay $75 for that. So the very last time they came out the quality of work was not very satisfactory. I was not treated fairly as I told them I did not have any problem with my freezer but I just let everything go because I don’t have the time and the energy to go back and forth with AFC. Nonetheless, I would still recommend them.

    I was looking for better pricing and America's First Choice Home Club had a better rate. Submitting a claim was okay but I ended up canceling with them and going back to American Home Shield because it wasn't what I thought it was. When I had an issue, I needed some repairs and I thought I would be covered at 100% if the item couldn't be repaired, which it wasn't. They ended up covering my faucet and my garbage disposal at 100%, but with my dishwasher, they only covered $150 and they didn't cover installation. So, my dishwasher ended up being $288 and I had to make up the difference for that. Nevertheless, the contractor was good. He came out and did a diagnostic. That was fine.

    I should have read the contract but overall, the claim was easy. I had a couple of times that I had to call back. I had to see when they were gonna get somebody out. AFC was a decent company but it was not working for me. The way it was explained to me was that AFC is a home club and not a home warranty, and that's a big difference. A lot of people like me was under the impression that if they couldn't fix it, it would be covered at 100%. So, people need to understand the difference between a home club and a home warranty.

    Placed a service request for a plumbing stoppage. They say up to 48 hours for a return call but it took 3 days to get that call. Unfortunately, it was not to schedule a service visit, it was to tell me that they are having trouble finding a plumber. In the entire state of Tennessee there are no available plumbers. I was told that they will keep looking. Almost 2 weeks now and they called asking if we intend to pursue the claim because I have not called them back with a plumber's name. That was not the deal since I live in California and am trying to have my home in Tennessee repaired. I called again today and was told that their plumbers will not be available for at least another 4 weeks. What kind of fly by night operation is this if they charge a $500 premium and can't provide a lousy plumber timely. Their solution? Go find your own plumber. Don't waste your money buying a policy from this company.

    Please be aware your review and assumptions are not correct in nature. Anything under manufacturer warranty cannot be covered in an aftermarket warranty or it will void the manufacturer. No one would want to void their manufacturer. When you but this plan we cover 17 items in the home so if one unit is under another warranty you still have 116 other items covered.

    AFC is okay as far as repairs. However, with the way they figure out the value of the unit that they’re repairing, if I have an AC unit that is old, they will let me spend a very small amount of money for repairs. In other words, they value the unit on how old it is. According to that, they figure out how much money they have to let you spend on the fixing of it. Sometimes, it’s not enough for the repairs. Recently my AC didn't have cold air and the pipes next to the unit were covered with ice. I made the claim over the phone and as far as the repair goes, they were very professional people. The value of the unit for repair is only up to $200, so for a five-ton unit, they gave me only $200 for repairs. It’s outrageous. When time comes to renew in December, I will look for another company. I will not recommend them.

    We had extra closing cost money from the sellers when we bought our house and we had to use it on something, so a warranty seemed like a good thing to use it for. It wasn’t that hard to submit the claim to America’s First Choice Home Club, but it was very clear from the time I talked to somebody that they were doing their damnedest to not have to pay for it.

    We bought our house in July 15 of 2016. On July 21st of 2017, we had an issue, so I called and the rep said that I was six days out of my year, so I’m on my own. They could call the people, but I have to pay for it. That one incident rubbed me the wrong way because it was not a great way to ensure you got customers, but at the same time, it was out of the one-year thing, so that was by the rules. I can only be frustrated at it. My experience was not great nor terrible and we thought about continuing the home warranty just so that we had something to cover with, but we just ended up saying no. It was a discussion. AFC reached out quite a bit to try to get us to renew, but it just wasn’t what we were looking for at the time.

    A home warranty would cover some of the things that we have and I wanted to have one. Because of the well and the septic, I decided to go with AFC Home Club. Submitting a claim wasn’t too bad and I did it over the phone. The interaction with the claims rep was alright and the service provided by the contractors was usually fine. However, every time I called, AFC would try to talk their way out of fixing whatever it was I wanted fixed. They would usually end up coming around in the end but it’s always a battle. I've never been without air but I went without an oven for a while, and that was a month. We were unhappy with it but AFC finally did the right thing and we came out okay on it.

    I had a Gold Plan most appliances covered, Refrigerator denied. After My tenant called me early Aug 2019 with Refrigerator problem, I called in, paid service fee, described the issue. I got quick response form AFC, The technician went and recommended that the refrigerator needs to be replaced due to manufacturer not making the parts, but AFC did not covered anything. Every other companies are helping with repair and replacement of appliances. I would not recommend them to anyone. Tameem

    Don't ever pick them. They may have the cheapest price, but you pay for it. They literally cover almost nothing and everything they do cover has limits and exclusions. Please pick someone else. I have never been more frustrated with a company, and the problem is on our first house we had One Guard and they were such a good company. This time I wanted to save a couple of bucks. Worst mistake ever. Their employees are also incredibly rude. Please pick someone else!

    I was fed up with my concerns that I had before with another company, and I was doing a Google search and saw AFC Home Club. I liked the rates that they had, the monthly payments and the co-pay. I recently had a claim and it was a challenge. There were some things that were explained to me that weren’t covered that had I known, I would have paid extra to have them covered. The experience with AFC was okay but I wish they had been upfront with me about certain hidden charges.

    I had a leak and the guy didn’t know where the leak was coming from. There was no clear space as to where it was leaking and so, he had to do what was called a leak search. AFC didn’t pay for that and it was very frustrating because I wound up having to pay that myself. The lady from AFC told me that my policy doesn’t have that but they offer it. It was kinda deceptive to me. The contractor was good and I took his name and number so I could call him for personal repairs. If I decide not to go with AFC anymore, then I'll be able to have a plumber on-hand.

    I have only been a customer for about 5 months, and the first 2 claims I have submitted were handled disappointedly. The biggest thing I can say is they will not cover any A/C related issues unless you have ADEQUATE proof of preventative maintenance in the prior year. I submitted numerous documents trying to prove such, but their review department denied everything I tried to show them we did. We even got delayed a whole day when the person I was dealing with directly was out of office for a day- letting my claim sit untouched while we were without an A/C in Texas in August. We are canceling our policy before we've even hit the 6mo mark with them. I truly believe they do not want to dish out money for repairs, and the caveats we found in their contacts were there to trick & work against the customer.

    Although the claim process of AFC Home Club is not difficult, it's not totally functional because they don't do weekend calls. If I got an issue over the weekend, I gotta wait 'til Monday to get a callback. Also, once I call and talk to a rep, they need to have somebody else call me back to set up a number for me to get a hold of the contractor. Then it may take up to 24 to 48 hours before that person will call me back. That's non-productive for a household item. I've dealt with three or four other home services and I've never seen that type of function. I was surprised that AFC Home Club has got such a high rating. The pricing and the structure are good though. I also got the golden ticket which is good.

    Also, my water heater broke and they don't service water heaters if the heater is over 10 years. I have other friends with home warranties and they each had a water heater issue. This is the first company that I've known that doesn't deal with water heaters. That was a big disappointment for me. When they did send people to fix the water heater, they were good. The guy who came out to fix my toilet was very nice too. When my time is up next year, I will not renew 'cause I was very unsatisfied with the claims process. It's terrible. I would not recommend them too.

    I've had home warranties for eight years and America's First Choice Home Club is favorable in some other things. Sometimes, their response rate is much better than other companies, but the exclusions they have is a lot more than the other companies. When submitting a claim, they have an answering service in the morning which is basically a waste of time. They should simply shut it off and say go online and do it because they ask so many questions without knowing anything. Then they tell us that it's only answering services and cannot create any ticket which will happen only later. So, you'd either accept the call or don't respond. Even if they do it, they should simply tell that they're just gonna collect a lot of information but have to pass it on to other people.

    America's First Choice is very clear about what they cover and don't cover, but of course, the sales guys were telling they covered everything. They won't give false information, but they don't give complete information. And then, there's a large document in which a lot of things are not covered, but that's okay. That's part of their insurance business. The technician that answered the service call was fairly okay.

    I had a couple of issues and sometimes the technicians or the company or their work, have not been a tickle, and I did not find America's First Choice covering my back. I had to go through a credit card company and America's First Choice covered all the money back, but they disowned me and said that I'm affiliated with the company directly and my information and they put it back on me, but I still won the case because the technician was lying.

    They also don't tell us upfront that they won't cover any of the equipment which are more than eight years old. I had to figure that out on our own over time because I raised five tickets. And every time they come back and say, "This is more than eight years. All I can do is give you $50, a $100 or $200." I was very disappointed on that part. If I knew that, I would not have signed up with them. But without that issue, they've been fairly good and quite flexible. I'm adding one more property there with them because I really love them.

    I have had this company for about one month and trying to cancel now. I am waiting for my washer to be repaired correctly and it's been 8 days since I first reported it. The tech they chose came out and did not fix my washer. They are supposed to come back and it's been another 3 days and no tech. I got a person's name from AFC warranty but I don't have the company name. According to them the company's name is Bianca ** and they kept me on hold twice and let it go to voicemail once.
