From the time of contact to the resolution, it was faster than expected. The company was very easy to work with and was able to accommodate my wish rather than trying to repair a “dead horse”. They are extremely professional and helpful.

I just signed up with the service so I’ll see how it goes. The salesman on the phone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The price was reasonable and in line with other warranty companies. I like that you can use your own serviceman.

My dishwasher was not working properly. I had a great experience from beginning to end with AFC. I called over the weekend and spoke to a human person who recorded my claim. Someone called me on Monday to gather details and offer the option to use my own company or receive a recommendation. A repair company was recommended and dispatched a couple days later. A part was required and approved by AFC the same day. Once the part was installed, AFC called the same day to confirm my claim was resolved. Excellent customer service and highly recommended for home warranty companies!

I am so impressed with the level of customer service regarding a difficult HVAC issue. Manager, Karen was incredibly kind and listened to my entire concern. I felt immediately heard and understood. Karen went the extra mile to bring full resolution to the issue and exceeded my expectations!! I’ve had multiple home warranties before for my 9 rental properties. I have been most satisfied with this company! Their service and coverage is the very best in the industry!!

I love that I’m actually speaking to someone and that I have my own personal agent that I deal with. He was helpful. Gave me the best coverage and explained everything. The price was good as well and I was offered to pay one year, three years or monthly.

The representative provided detailed straightforward answers to all of my questions. After many years of going back and forth with American Home Shield it was time for something new. Or that matter I switched over to AFC due to the extraordinary telephonic presentation I received. I'll close with this... Had a plumbing issue at a rent house. Even though we were in the middle of a snowstorm AFC came through. The first tech they assigned to the job was swamped, they assigned another plumber that did a fantastic job. I have had home warranties before but never one that had such great follow up. Not exaggerating, AFC contacted me at least ten times throughout the process. They were great.

I am pleased with the set up and follow through with AFC Home Warranty. I was extremely pleased with the technician. However, I was a bit upset to find out that I did not save a dime on this repair due to my $75.00 service fee. My cost would have been the same without AFC. Granted it could have been a worse repair and more expensive. But I’ve had this now for nearly a year and my first and only time to use it and I still had to pay what the repair itself was. Perhaps you could entertain the possibility of “not so frequent flyers” discount - meaning if a customer has not been utilizing the service a discounted service rate or at the end of the three year contract reimburse service fees. I get that you're protecting your bottom line say if you have to replace an HVAC system, but let’s be fair for those who don’t cost you huge amounts.

I have been with AFC for almost 4 years now. They have been good with taking care of issues with appliances. When they were not able to find a technician, they let me get my own handyman and took care of the charges. I intend to stay with them :)

New Policy - conveniently requested online quote as it was fairly easy to compare pricing with other companies. Very reasonable priced, also offers longer period for warranty coverage. Customer service answered my questions; he understood my needs and found a plan that worked within my budget.

David was incredibly thorough and was quite knowledgeable about his product and even that of his competition. His personal touch to customer service is why I’m leaving my current home warranty company and making the switch to AFC. Changing companies was a bit scary but David walked me through every step.

Seemed to be some difficulty finding a repair company. But once some, they were awesome. Still going with 5 stars because I think some of this was expected.

The fix for my monogram side-by-side ($10,000 new) refrigerator was cheap and quick, but it took 30min of phone call for the contractor to get approved. The fridge was 13 year old and they only value it full at 12 years so I didn't get as much paid for as expected. The part was so small next to a new fridge, and the company wouldn't even disclose how much for a new fridge I would get if that was recommended, but it would not cover 20% according to the fine print. Overall, it saved me money if I use this service a few times, but it is not as easy as it's made out to be.

The request handled by multiple agents but few associates assigned wrong technicians to my case and in many cases it got delayed. But Jason who is the manager was very quick in resolving the problem along with dispatch manager. They both were very helpful in timely solution and fix.

Kevin walked me diligently through the different plans and options, and I was able to save hundreds of $$ per year. Glad that there were different options to add on, since I needed coverage for a well pump! I called into AFC yesterday looking to get a quote on two properties. Connor answered my call and was extremely helpful in answering all my questions. I never felt like he was pressuring me to buy their product. Just an overall awesome experience. In the end I was transferred to Connor’s supervisor Randy to get a multi home discount. Randy was just as helpful as Connor. Decided to leave American Home Shield for AFS. Night and day customer service experience!

I love the ease of filing a claim. The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. Was very pleased when they told me that. Buzzell Plumbing was coming out because of their reputation. It's good to know they send out a company with such a good reputation. I used them when I was a property manager in the area and know the quality of their work.

My drier stop the heating element, but luckily I called AFC Home Club and they were quickly and serious. I have to call them only once, when I described the issue. They were on it. They sent a technician and he was able to fix the problem on the spot.

Takes 15 to 30 minutes to reach a representative. During that time the plumber is supposed to just sit on his hands to get authorization. After that it takes more than 24 hours to get the technician paid. It takes 3 weeks to get an e-check for reimbursement. There weren't even any techs available in the near future so I had to find my own. Not worth the hassle. This is why most of the plumbers I spoke with said they don't work with home warranty companies.

Plumber got scheduled right away. Only negative was they didn't inform me that this plumber was out of network and I'd need to pay and then get reimbursed. However, they sent the link right away and called to remind me to submit my invoice. All contact with the AFC team has been great!!!

The scheduled response time was very good from AFC. Everyone that I spoke with was very friendly. However, clear expectations of scheduling timeframe and explanation with the problem resolution were a little lacking. I expect that this was likely due to the vendors communication, not necessarily AFC. Unfortunately, the vendor is an extension of AFC. Consider further vetting of vendor customer service prior to using them.

The AFC Homeclub contracted plumber diagnosed the problem. They then left the toilet I pieces then later sent me a contract requesting a payment of 244 dollars to complete the work..I contacted AFC WHO ADVISED THEY had not been contacted by the contractor or sent the report details..I then had to upload the documents which frankly afc contractor should have done. I contacted the contractor Michael and son Services 757 5418100 who advised the problem was mine. I needed to pay the money or I needed to contact the 3rd party being AFC Homeclub. I have had no success with any AFC HOMECLub CONTRACTORS. I am yet to find out if AFC Homeclub pay or reimburse when I use my own contractor. So far I am completely unhappy with Afc Contracted service providers. I am at the verge of looking for another service contract provider because of the incompetence of afc contracted service providers.

HVAC system was not working. It was fixed within 4 hours after the first call to AFC. Furnace Ignitor was replaced by technician on the first visit itself. AFC approved the replacement of the ignitor swiftly and technician had the required parts and tools.

Worst customer service ever. Great lure speech but when you place a call. Crickets. Run from this company. They have an excuse for everything. Not once did they pay even half and thru expect you to wait on them. This company should be closed. Maybe the pandemic will cause them to close. I would give no stars but Surprisingly that is not an option.

I ended up calling Roto-Rooter after my service to fix the problem. Great, polite and professional young man who worked hard to fix my issue. However, the new hose he replaced started dripping and found out the washer guard was not replaced in the new hose. The valves started leaking and was not leaking prior to. My previous home warranty company was fast, arrived by next day and was experienced. I will give it up to tech for trying, but took them hours to resolve the issue.

Per the database records, we assigned Babyboy Services on 1/4. We spoke with you on 1/6 and you confirmed that you had spoken with the tech but had not scheduled. We then spoke with the tech and he stated the schedule was for 1/13. We are very sorry for the confusion as we experienced it too but we are glad the unit is working properly. I paid my $75 per item and had a tech sent out.
Both are recommended replaced. Covered parts broke down. However, this warranty coverage decided well your replacements would be more than the amount you pay in during your term and we are prorating the value. Thus 200 for wash machine and something like 150 for dishwasher. Prorating my wash machine to a 10-year-old machine when I bought it brand new 5 years ago at Menards! Rip off coverage, reporting to my state officials! I feel taken advantage of and stolen money for and in covered coverage!!

Many home insurance warranty companies try to get out of covering the homeowners problem. I’ve heard nothing but raves about AFC and hope not to need them in this house.

The tech was very punctual and professional. He seemed very knowledgeable about what was going on with my oven. An outlet in my house blew the week before Christmas causing half the upstairs level to be without lights. I tried to fix the issue by checking the circuit breaker but couldn’t get the lights on. Despite increased workload and being right before the holiday McGraw Electric made it out to our house quickly, replaced the outlet and got our electricity working properly. On top of that he took the time to show me the issue so I could fix it on my own if it ever happened again. He was incredibly helpful and patient in answering my questions. I will definitely be calling him for my future electric needs. Thank you!!

Submitted request online. Contractor details given next day. Contractor exceptional, fixed the problem by anticipating the part. Within a few days. Courtesy call form AFC a few days later. Smooth, Efficient. Professional. I had the option of providing my own contractor but didn’t know a good plumber. The one AFC assigned me will be the one I use going forward.

It has been practically a month since my request and still nothing is fixed. Wait period of 48 hours is incredible and then wait another week or two to schedule and have some one come out.. As soon as I can I will cancel my membership.. It is a horrible company.

I have had two home warranties with the same company for five years. After a few unsatisfactory experiences with customer service and the company's technicians, I decided it was time to change. After researching warranty companies that allow you to choose your technician and reading positive reviews about the company's customer service, I decided to call AFC. I now know why they have received so many positive reviews: the customer service is outstanding. Connor, the sales representative with whom I spoke was friendly and professional. I have 4 properties under warranty with AFC Home Club. Had a claim for a $7000 heating system replacement denied due to the unit being too old. Defeats the purpose of having a home warranty if the age of the unit plays a role in payout. After various discussion with the customer service team and AFC Home Club legal department, a $500 payment was made. Buyer beware. Better to go with another agency that doesn't discriminate against the age of the unit but has a yearly claim limit instead.

I have not had any services rendered by AFC. They charged me a service fee because I got my yearly heating and cooling company checkup and they found a problem with my capacitor. After I sent AFC my receipts and information about the recommendation, AFC will charged me a service fee for my heating and cooling company checking my furnace out. Mind you, they never checked anything. They are going on my Heating and cooling company's recommendation and charging me a service fee for that. WOW this is unbelievable. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. I cannot wait until my contract is up. Please do not recommend them. They are the worst. I thought CHOICE HOME WARRANTY was the worst, I would pay to go back to CHOICE. AFC is terrible!!! I wish I could give them a big fat zero.

I called in for the first time as a new member to report an issue with my air conditioner. The representative I received was named Quinton and he was patient, professional, and answered all of my questions. I called another company, and received calls from (4 or 5) different sales agents. I told "each" agent I'll call the company back; after I speak to a few more companies. I had a dishwasher break and AFC was very prompt in responding and assigning someone to my account. The person they assigned was a different story. Did a "virtual diagnosis" of my problem. Then rescheduled the appointment multiple times. After over 3 months of the run around with this guy I asked for a new person and in 2 weeks I had a working dishwasher. Then AFC even reimbursed me (in process) for the fee for the second technician.

Response time with the overall process from AFC could be a bit quicker. Also, every time we call in a service, we are constantly asked for a maintenance service invoice. We know it is only required once a year and we uploaded the documents to the link that was sent to us in July. However, when we called for a new service call,, the person asked us again for it. Then after the service request resolution, we the person once again asked us for it so we had to forward him the email to prove we already took care of that in July 2020.

This is the third service call that I have used with you as my home warranty May before and you did not approve any of my claims. This is a waste of my time. I had people come out and spend my money on the service call and you did not cover the claim and with a washer that you use every day and you don’t cover the drum is ridiculous. Hello, I had Maureen discuss AFC with me, which she did an incredible job representing. She took her time to tell me what make AFC better than the competition. She took the the time to answer all my questions. Maureen was never pushy towards me trying to quickly sign me up. I had several questions which she help answer. We first spoke a few days before Thanksgiving. Maureen made sure to follow up with me the next day, and again after the Thanksgiving weekend. I was not planning on returning her as I had just received a great offer from AHS. But Maureen has got great follow up skills. I will be honest and say that she made me chose AFC over AHS. Maureen represented AFC very well. I then spoke to Maureen's manager who was also very good with customer service skills. My mission is now to have as many members of my friends and family to come move over to AFC.

The only criticism I can find is that the plans should offer a bit more customization. For example; I'm paying for garage door coverage yet I have no garage, while at the same time paying extra to cover my tankless water heater. I appreciate that they didn't harass me after I looked into the service a couple of months ago. I received one follow up call and told the associate that I planned to go with their service once we settled on a new house. The fact that I didn't get a call every week to ask me about it tells me that they're confident in the product.

The technician you all assigned was on vacation and I called to tell you all that and no one thought to get someone else scheduled. A week and a half later, I called you all to request a new tech and the tech you all assigned finally reached out to have the job sent again. You all told me I couldn’t have a new tech since he called. I was searching to change from one company to another and I saw the advertisement of America's 1st Choice on the internet through Google. It wasn't a good idea to go with them because they don't tell you everything upfront. The guy sold this program as if it was a good program but the one I had before was better. He sold AFC such as if you had an issue, it wouldn't be a problem.
When you get your package in and you start going through the fine print, they will not replace an AC over a certain amount of years or work with you to replace it. They'll only give you 300 to 500 bucks on the replacement of the AC unit. They don't tell you that when you call them up during the sales call to establish a contract with them. I also put in a claim for my capacitor because it went out. They honored it but they wanted me to get another tune-up. I had just done the annual tune-up in March. Even if I get another tune-up, something else could go wrong. I had to pay for this other tune-up and as soon as I finish this last claim, I’m done with them.

Had a dishwasher issue. Used our own appliance technician. Got preapproval but on day of repair he discovered a couple gaskets had to be replaced after removing the pump. Attempted to call for approval but some glitch just put us in an endless cycle in the menu then we would get disconnected. Had a slight issue after with them wanting to pay additional since we didn’t get approval, but after saying we couldn’t get someone on the phone and asking to speak with a manager, it was okay’d. AFC took care of us when our air conditioner stopped working. They assigned a company to come out, they diagnosed and fixed our issue very quickly! AFC called that same day to make sure it was repaired and made sure they paid the service provider quickly. I am very happy with the services of AFC!

I called AFC and they had a good deal. Also, their service calls are better than what I had before at a previous company. Submitting a claim was good although I’m still working it out because I have to get ahold of another plumbing company to come do an estimate. AFC is going to allow me to outsource to a plumbing company for them to replace the pipes.

I had to request service for the same issue twice because communication broke down between AFC and the service company so the service company never called to schedule an appointment to assess the problem with my washer. So now I'll end up being without a working washer an additional week since I now have to wait the weekend for parts to be ordered. Definitely not satisfied with the service so far.

I chose AFC since they were located in Atlanta and so, I would have better service with them being local. But I find it annoying that there is no online support. I have to call and get a voice on the phone, which is fine during business hours. But if something happens during after-hours, that would be something different. We’ve only had one claim and it was for my toilet handle which broke. The technician was nice to begin with but he got on this whole political rant and I could have done without that.

I would have rated you all higher but the approval process was too long. The technician was on hold for a long time before someone came back to phone and said everything was approved. My tech is a busy person so waiting for extended period of time is not something he appreciates when there is other calls to service.

I've had claims for the garbage disposal and the microwave. The garbage disposal had to be replaced and the microwave was fixable. The contractors that came out for those were excellent. AFC's service has been great.

I went with AFC for the price but filing a claim was a little more difficult than I would have liked. I had to get back in touch with the person who performed the repair to get another receipt but AFC didn't like that receipt. Then the person stopped responding back to me. There were three or four different representatives that reached out to me about the issue. I don't know if they were tracking who was responsible for my case or not, but it was definitely confusing. There could be better coordination of all of the communication that I was receiving concerning the claim especially.

I went with AFC mainly because I could use whoever I choose to use to perform services at my house. However, it was a little challenging to understand what was covered and not covered under the home warranty and the actual details of it. At that time, I had just purchased my house and we had a water stoppage. I didn't have all the coverage information at that point 'cause we just moved in and payment hadn't been received by AFC. I had to work with the customer representative to get a copy of the coverage details then understand it at that point and what the process was to even submit a claim. But they're pretty professional, very understanding, patient and willing to kinda walk through the details as much as needed. I didn't ever feel rushed or bothered for asking the questions that I had.
The customer service has been great. It's just it's like I'm having to dig for the information as opposed to being able to have it and really understand it myself and even understanding when do I use the home warranty versus not using them. I have some maintenance I'm about to do on an AC unit. When I was reaching out to different technicians, they had said that I need to go through my home warranty. I told them it's just for regular maintenance. They said I gotta go through them because sometimes they require certain technicians to come out. If not, it voids my warranty. I called AFC and they said, "No, that's not the case. You can use whoever you want."

As per our negotiation I need to back or reimbursement $ 350 but they are taking long time. Just they collection information when I call otherwise not trying to go action almost trying delay or deny. Why they are doing that way. I have question to management.

I never worked with any home warranty company like this. They're asking me to find a vendor and fix it. Then they said they needed pictures and that they didn't cover things. In the past, I had three plumbing issues and they refused to do it. They said they were going to charge me more than one service call fee for the same plumbing issue. It was two different bathrooms and it was terrible. The AC was leaking, and they told me I have to get inspection done on my expense. I spent $450 to do inspections.
I didn't know all of these things when I recommended them to my brother-in-law. They told me I was supposed to get $25 referral which they never sent. I emailed the salesperson before I enrolled the program and he immediately responded to all my emails. But once he got my money, he didn't respond. I have to call from a different number so he would pick up the phone. Then one day he picked up the phone and he said he didn't check the email. This is terrible. I don't like AFC at all.
When AFC sent a contractor out, they said they have to change a small part. Then AFC told the tech that I have to pay for the parts and the installation. I asked him how much and it was $700 to replace one small knob. I had American Home Shield for almost 17 years and I never had to go to this before. I wanted to get rid of the contract, but then the rep said I cannot do it because I signed up the contract for three years. They already got my money for three years.

Taking out a policy from AFC Home Club was a very positive experience. An actual person answered the phone, unlike other companies I called. I never was disconnected, nor I was transferred to four other people. The representative explained the policy options very clearly and was able to customize the policy to our needs. The price for service calls was attractive and the fellow that I spoke to was legitimate. Everything he told me so far has been true, which doesn't always happen with home warranty companies. I've only had one claim. I needed a plumber. But I didn't hear back from them after 24 hours so I called AFC and asked them where my plumber was. They said they were having a hard time locating one and if I wanted to, I could just call a local plumber and they would pay for it, which I did. The guy came over that afternoon and I had to pay him in advance because he didn't want to work with the insurance company. But within two days, I was reimbursed. I have had other home warranty companies and they have either let me down or changed the policy when I have gone to renew it. But so far, AFC has been the most legitimate company I've dealt with.

They're okay. But they keep texting and calling me, and asking me if everything was done. I tell them yes but I still keep getting calls about it again over and over. It seems like I give them one answer, and they just keep calling. But the reps have all been good. I like my coverage.

We were new to Atlanta coming from Brooklyn, New York. Before we decided to go with AFC, we researched it and the reviews were good. We've been here for almost six years now and we had issues with a refrigerator that we purchased. But we didn't like that it took so long to get it repaired because about $350 worth of our food went bad. The technician that came here told us one thing and then he didn't write up whatever it was to be submitted. Now, we have an issue with the microwave, and it's been almost five days. We have not heard anything back from AFC to get someone here to repair or replace it. We are having to steam food on the stove and that's taken up a lot of gas money.
My husband called AFC and they said they would give us a call about 5:00 this afternoon. But they haven't called yet, so we don't know what they're saying. It’s because they don't give us a lot of information. Atlanta is a big demographic so they need more repair people or technicians. It's ridiculous. It takes so long to get somebody out. To get things repaired, you have to lose your food and you have to wait, and you have to make other ways of putting things in place. Nobody is saying a day or two. But they're saying a week or two and that's a bit much.

I submitted a claim on Saturday, then had to wait on hold for 30 minutes on Monday only to go over details again. I was told to get the work done and upload an invoice, now I'm getting emails that additional details are needed but no phone call. My preferred method of contact was phone so why can't someone call me when the hold time is so long for me to call in?

I was in the process of purchasing a home. I found AFC on a website that had them listed at the top 10. I like the flexibility of being able to either use one of their technicians or find my own. Their plans were inclusive, where other companies would be missing some. Their plan was probably one of the cheaper ones and it covered the most. Originally, I was purchasing a different property and the contract fell through on it. When I had to get a new invoice and new information written up, the representative, before even getting to a service plan, got all my stuff updated and got everything over to my mortgage company. Very easy to talk to.
If you submit a request online, they call about it and they respond back fairly quickly. I've, unfortunately, run into a couple of situations with the purchase of this new home. I usually hear from them the same day. The only time I heard from them the next day was when I had to submit a claim later in the day. Customer service is very thorough. If there's something that needs to be followed up on, they'll take care of it then give me a call back. They always keep me in the loop. Overall, it's a great experience. I haven't had any issues.

AFC was pretty quick with the claim getting back to me and getting someone out. It's usually not a long period for someone to come out and survey the problem. Then they get back to me with the solution and if they are going to approve it. Very efficient. And the contractor was very professional.

AFC was higher-rated than some of the others and they seemed to be reasonably-priced. When I started filling out the application, they called me. They've been courteous every time I've dealt with them. All of them are expensive though. It's insurance. They all kind of over-promise then under-deliver.

I had American Home Shield and they jacked my rate up by $200 to $300 a year. Also, when I had them, if I had a specific plumbing problem, the plumber would come and fix that problem and nothing else that was related to it. I decided I didn't want a home warranty system that did little stuff. I wanted something that covered big stuff. I went with AFC because it was very highly-rated. All of the reviews I read were positive. I keep it mainly for when a large system goes out like the HVAC. I don't have enough of a war chest to replace the whole system.

Have four properties warranty with AFC and it gives me the peace of mind I known that I can call them to get a tech and or I can get one myself as long they are licensed. They are prompt with payments on the repair and never had an issue. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

I liked the reviews online for America's 1st Choice Home Club and I compared what I previously had to their prices and the claims. Old Republic’s prices increased and the service fee went up over time and the person I spoke with, Everett, hooked me up and said I was locked in with the price that I had and the service fees. So, that was the difference.

I called to get information and the customer service rep that helped me was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ended up buying a warranty for my house and even felt great paying.. LOL!! I don't know what the process to file a claim, I just signed up but; the customer service thus far is great!!! Well priced for all the options and the safety of knowing is something does go wrong, I'll be covered.
